I bought insurance for my children's furniture and was told I would get my money back if no claim was filed after a period of time. As it happens, I never filed a claim but when it was time to pay back the story changed. Long story short, I never got my money back. It was one excuse to another. I would never buy insurance from this store again.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! They only know how to sell their damaged furniture. They don't want to do the refund, just lying that they are going to do the refund. Worst customer experience ever. I've been talking with them 2 months for the return and they were lying about the return. They were saying that they are going to do refund and I was just waiting for that. And when I was calling again to understand when they will come and take their damaged items, they were just answering that they don't know about any return. How can you work like that?. Poor customer service, absolutely no supervisor or manager who can handle the issue. SHAME ON YOU.

I purchased a couch and 2 recliners October 24, 2022. That night I found the zipper in one of the arms of one of the recliners was broken and the stuffing was coming out. I called and an order was put in. After a week of not hearing anything I called again. This time they wanted me to send pictures which I did. 5 days later I called again and the lady finally looked at the pictures and said they would replace it. It is now January 14th and still no replacement. I have called several times and they say they are waiting for one to be delivered to the warehouse. If this was a new order I would have it in a week. I am not a happy customer and do not recommend Ashley Furniture

We ordered 2 Drakelle Accent chairs on the advice of the salesman in the store from pictures on the website. From the fabric, they look like they belong in a barn instead of a family room. The chairs are ugly & uncomfortable & cheaply made. There is a zipper on the underside of one chair where the legs are stored, was broken. The technician who came out to fix the zipper put the legs on & one leg was shorter than the other 3. We are now waiting for a replacement chair. The zipper was not repairable. We, unfortunately, missed the 48-hour window from the 1st delivery for a refund & now are stuck with these 2 awful chairs.

If I could give your company -5 stars I would. My husband and I bought a very expensive couch from Ashley's and have not been happy with the product at all. Within 2 months of owning the couch, we ran into issues with the cushions. We've spoken to management many of times to try and rectify the issue, but they are not willing to work with us. We've had a technician come to the house at least 5 different times to bring it back "up to standards". However, after only 2-3 days after it goes back to what it was like prior to the technician coming out. We've had new cushions sent to us and it still does not resolve the issue we currently have. ASHLEY FURNITURE IS OKAY WITH STEALING OUR MONEY.
My family has bought from Ashley and we also furnished our new home with some pieces from Ashley, I never thought I would say this but I will NEVER give Ashley's my business again. I'm so disappointed in the product we bought and I'm even more disappointed in the customer service. Management has closed our complaint stating they did "everything" they could, but yet my couch is still not fixed. I have some cushions that are 3 inches lower than other cushions. I'm disgusted with this company.

I bought a 3-piece living room set from Ashley through a local furniture warehouse in March 2021. It took until August 2021 to finally receive the couch. Reason cited was the foam shortage. The day the couch arrived I realized the frame was bent and the couch wasn't sitting flush on the right section. The local furniture warehouse reached out to Ashley. They wouldn't ship another couch but agreed to send another frame for the couch I already received. It took nearly 6 weeks to get the frame and another couple weeks for the furniture store to get a person to my house to replace the frame. So I didn't have a usable couch until October 2021.
In a very short amount of time my family was beginning to realize the 2 footrests on the sectional sections had almost no foam in them. The back of your foot was literally sitting on particle board at the fabric seams in the middle of each footrest. By March 2022 there was already a tear forming in the seam on one of the footrests where fabric was rubbing against wood with no foam in between and I had to tell my child to stop using the footrests. By May 2022 the frame was starting to sag a little again on the same side of the couch and I could tell that this frame was also bent.
By August 2022 the entire third of the couch where the sag had begun was becoming unusable because it was leaning so far to the side that it was gaping 3+inches from the next section in the middle. By that same time the fabric seam in the middle of one of the footrests had popped completely open and there was a gaping hole completely through the footrest where the wood ended and there had been no foam in between. Also a seam on the middle cushion of the couch had popped open where the stitching had been too wide and the foam inside the cushion was now being exposed.
In October 2022 I filed a warranty claim with Ashley (should have still been active warranty since I couldn't even use the couch prior to October 2021). The first claim was turned down with an offer to pay for all replacement parts and all shipping for 2 new footrests and a new frame and then having to do all repairs myself. I appealed this claim and filed another one. On December 31, Ashley denied the claim, citing "Misuse of the couch" as the reason. They refused to help with any replacement, any refund, or any credit toward another couch.
The couch was defective from the day it arrived and there was proof with the frame already having to be replaced. The couch wasn't usable until October 2021 but in October 2022 they stated warranty was already done. The reason given for the 5 months it took to receive the couch was the national foam shortage, then the couch arrived with so little foam in the footrests that the fabric was rubbing against wood and ripped open all the way across, exposing the floor below. The rip was so big. The second frame began bowing out in a U shape and the right third of the couch was sagging so bad it was scraping against and ruined my oak floor in the area where it sat.
So I spent nearly $2k on a living room couch that lasted 12 months. All they were willing to do was have me pay for both shipping and parts to replace the problem pieces and then pay someone to fix the pieces or do myself. It was going to cost as much as a new couch to fix the frame and the 2 footrests, plus the seat of the couch that had been sagging from the bad frame was now also compromised. So after just 15 months, I had to buy another new couch.
I strongly caution you to NOT BUY ASHLEY FURNITURE reclining couches! and I strongly caution you about buying anything from them at all - the way they treat their customers and the way they completely ignore warranties and documented proof of a history of something being wrong from day 1 speaks volumes. There was a complete, apathetic disregard for their customers. They never even emailed me or called me directly one single time during this entire process. Every communication was with the furniture warehouse I ordered the set through and never once did they reach out directly to me.

Buyer beware! They don't stand by their guarantees. I bought over $6,000 worth of furniture here at the Niles store. They said that I had 72 hours to return or exchange the furniture after delivery. I didn't like the dining table in our space, so I called their "customer service" phone number within 24 hours to exchange it, and they said there is no way it can be returned or exchanged! I explained that I was guaranteed this offer by the Niles store, and they refused to acknowledge that this could even be the case. So then I went to the Niles store and the store manager wrote them a email saying that I am allowed to exchange/return the item. And the "customer service" people STILL refused to honor this promise. So I guess a promise isn't really a promise at Ashely Furniture. So now I'm stuck with this table that I hate.

If you are unfortunate enough to get a rep on the line, they will speak broken english. They will not understand your question and they will be aggressive with you if you ask for specifics like tracking information!
After 3 days of trying to reach them, I have no idea where my order is or if I will ever receive it! I should have gone with amazon or a reputable company! Ashley is by far the worst customer service I have ever received!! If you call the store, they will blow you off and refer you to their joke customer service line. I have no idea how this lousy company stays in business! Never buy anything from them!!

Bought new living room furniture 11/2022. Paid a handsome penny. Found serious manufacturing defects with the couch when it was delivered on 12/5/2022. I wanted the couch replaced as it stated because I purchased new and I wanted new. They said they had to send out service first. Another few weeks went by and service finally came out and he informed us "the cardboard collapsed in the arm" Cardboard? He also found other defects with the couch and ottoman we purchased that we did not know about. Again, we told him that we did not want the furniture repaired, we wanted new. He actually took our side and sent us a copy of his report noting the defects. Ashley got back to us today and will not replace the less than 1 month old furniture.
During the course of looking into this further, we found out that others complained that what Ashley shows in the showroom is not the same as what they ship the consumer. I have saved every conversation I have had with Ashley as well as screenshots of texts from Ashley on various numbers. This was just a readers digest version. I have a growing paper trail of the poor customer service, not to mention photos of the floor model vs what was delivered. Not manufactured the same at all, as floor model is built better.

Online purchases CANNOT BE RETURNED TO STORE AND THE CUSTOMER PAYS SHIPPING COSTS. We even offered to return to the warehouse but were denied. The return shipping on the item is $40!! We had a tech come out and he said the exact same thing, he took pictures and we never heard back from Ashley. Everyone told me not to buy here because their customer service is the worst in the world! But, It was the only place I could buy two specific piece I wanted to make my life easier because I was going to have surgery. Well, all my friends were right. I am kicking myself of course. I ordered two pieces that took me about 4 hours of searching on. That was supposed to be in stock and could be delivered before my surgery which would be in 3 wks. My wonderful sales person (David) worked very hard as we went through the whole store looking for pieces that would work for me and would be delivered on time. I schedule my day off for delivery date. They were good about notifying me about delivery and time. Delivery comes and they only have 1 of my 2 pieces, ask them where the other is... they don't know they are just delivery people.
I call Ashley's which in itself is a hassle as you have to go through customer service for all of Ashley's. No one speaks proper English, she was Hispanic with a heavy accent. (sorry if that offends but I could not understand 1 word from the first person I talked too, had to call again to get someone I could understand). You have to answer all kinds of questions about why you want to talk to that Ashley's store. What the hell? Why can not just call the store I want to and talk to someone, without going through 40 questions?
Anyway, I talk to another sales person finally (Andrew) because my sales person was off today. Andrew is very nice and tries to help me but says what he found out is my 2nd piece is now delayed a month because they over booked the truck and the only other piece they have in warehouse is scratched. (well glad they didn't send me that one.) But how the heck do you over book a truck? You don't know how much your trucks can carry? And I bought something that you said you had in warehouse and you didn't know that one was scratched before you sold it to me? Why didn't I listen to my friends? They said I would have nothing but headaches! Someone get me some Advil please!

Once we place everything where we wanted it, we discovered it was to large for the room. Customer Service will not allow us to return one piece of furniture to make things work in the room. Never in my life have I been so disappointed in what I thought was a "household" named store. The lack of customer care and service is overwhelming. I recently relocated to Houston and was excited about getting my home furnished and went to what I thought was a replicable franchise to purchase a bedroom set with an adjustable base. The representatives in the store seemed to be knowledgeable and recommended the exact type of adjustable base that I would need given that I purchased a bedframe that had wooden slates and dresser drawers at the base of the bedframe; I definitely wanted to ensure that the bed would have the type of support and also be compatible with one another so our sales representative, Chris, took me downstairs to speak with the bedding expert, Nick, to ensure that I got the right type of adjustable base.
In the store before the sales all of these representatives appear to be so helpful, or so I thought. My furniture was delivered July 28, 2022 and sadly not even two months later on Sept 21, 2022 I notified the store to inform them that the base of the bed had completely broken and the bed was no longer functional and the actual wood that held the slates that is tasked with holding the foundation and the mattress just came crashing down. This alone already had me questioning the quality of the furniture and what made me even madder was that they told me that they were not able to get anyone out to repair the furniture until Nov 16, 2022. So basically, I had to endure not having an actual bedframe for ALMOST TWO MONTHS, so I had to sleep on a mattress on the floor when I just purchased a 3,000-dollar bedroom set with a 3,500-dollar adjustable base.
Finally, what seemed like took forever, the day arrived for the third-party repair guy that they sent to repair my brand-new set arrived only for him to notify me that the parts that Ashely shipped to my house when he opened the box was all broken up. This repair guy was extremely nice, but he was unable to fix the bed due to the fact that the new parts were already broke upon arrival, which further raises some pretty big questions about their quality of furniture. The repair guy also informed me that there was no way that the base we purchased could be supported by the type of bedframe we purchased and that he had no clue why they would sell them as if they were compatible. So even if he were able to fix the bed, I would still have a 3,500-dollar adjustable base that I would not be able to use. If they would have just been honest, I would have picked a different set out, or went to another store and found something else to my liking.
I feel like I could have done much better with a local moms and pops store. I have been getting nothing but the run around and promises to get back to me, but nothing. I want a refund and I am feeling like if I keep getting the run around that I am going to have to pursue legal matters because I am frankly getting tired at this point with the unanswered calls and emails.
Tkeyah **, Store Operation Specialist, was the only one who seemed to listen and was the person to arrange the repair company to come out and repair the bed. Josie **, Store Operations Manager, who promised to be in contact has not and has avoided my calls. I travel for business a lot and I see that I am going to have to go into the store. I wish I had read all of these reviews before I gave this store one cent of my money. BUYERS PLEASE BEWARE!!! I would hate for you to get the run around or have to go through this negative experience. It is not just frustrating, but very time consuming.

We applied for the credit and were approved. Upon going for the paperwork, we were told the tax and delivery fees were to be paid today. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time. We would have left at that point but we were approved for their credit so we had little choice. We suggested they speak to a manager to override that and put the total amount on the new credit card. With much displeasure, they did agree to it. No one apologized for the misunderstanding, which would be the least they could have done. I felt bad for the new associate since he was dealing with all this when I felt a manager should have returned to speak with us. We won't be back.

Updated on 12/31/2022: On the 4th attempt at delivery they failed once again and without any shame brought again the wrong pieces after all the reassurances they gave me that the correct rails and slats will come. The Store Manager has been evading me now and hasn't returned any of my calls despite the Store Staff telling me he would. Waiting almost 2 weeks and it seems like they are cowering from their failures.
They did though send a tech separately after speaking to their Customer Service line (which loves to just bounce me back to the store) to my home on December 28th to fix the damaged footboard but no word back on the slats for bed. Tired of their nonsense and the back and forth between the Store and Customer Service support line; I went ahead and purchased box springs that you can assemble from Walmart.com. Informed Ashley's to comp me for the price I paid for those, so I can be done with this nightmare. Now with those box springs the kids can sleep better instead of just a mattress on the floor. I should have gone with Cardi's or Bob's Furniture initially.
Original Review: Over Labor Day weekend with the big sale going on I purchased 4 bedroom sets for my new home. Delivery was scheduled for mid-October. When delivery day came they brought the items but 3 of the 4 beds were missing the slats. They were all to be platform beds. The 4th bed had a damaged footboard. We went to the store. They made the delivery appointment request to get those to us. When the delivery man showed up 2 weeks later though the slats he brought weren’t the correct ones, so a new delivery date had to be arranged again. He blamed the warehouse and said he was a 3rd party. No replacement footboard was brought either.
Called and spoke with the store again. They apologized and said they would credit me $150 for my account per the Store Manager but I have yet to see that reflected. They then scheduled me for a 3rd delivery on the 23rd of November (yeah, it’s been ongoing). Lo and behold though when the delivery man came he again said it wasn’t the right slat pieces and this was the same guy who came last time and took pictures too. A note on the delivery personnel - they need to send people who speak English and I shouldn’t scramble to find an interpreter. Also that driver forged my signature on his paperwork. I didn’t sign anything and then got an email saying I did. Not acceptable at all.
The footboard he brought with him to replace out was also damaged too. Now after all this time I still have a damaged footboard and 3 of the 4 beds don’t have the slats. I don’t understand why this is so difficult to resolve? I called the store left a message, sent a email to customer care, spoke with someone from the store who said to call customer care, and again called and left a message on the customer care voicemail. I just want this resolved and to receive proper compensation for all this ineptitude and aggravation. My order was not a complicated order to fill. Not happy with Ashley’s and will do business elsewhere in the future.

A word of warning: DO NOT buy anything from Ashley! We have experienced the biggest headache dealing with Ashley just to get a dining table and chairs delivered. We had to pay full price up front, then EIGHT MONTHS later a partial order shows up. But they DROPPED the table coming off the truck and broke it. The chairs that came were wobbly and scratched. We paid $190 for “white glove” delivery where they would set everything up, but the delivery guys refused to do anything and left the broken table in the box on our floor. Two weeks later there was supposed to be an exchange for all of it, but only 2 chairs showed up.
Now two more weeks later we finally get the broken table and scratched, wobbly chairs taken away. The new table and chairs took NINE months to deliver. After NUMEROUS trips to the local store and MULTIPLE phone calls to the regional office, I have determined (1) Customer Service is virtually non-existent with Ashley (they couldn’t care less about you; they have your money), (2) the local store is a SHOW ROOM only (they know nothing beyond their four walls, and (3) the whole Ashley system is grossly inefficient. I don’t know how they have avoided bankruptcy. If you are reading this and work for Ashley, I advise you to go get a different job with a better company.

I purchased a couch from Ashley's 11/4/2022. I was mislead by the display and the customers sales rep regarding the size of the couch. I have called the customer service number numerous times and was hung up on almost every time. When I called my original sales rep he blamed me for the issue (while huffing and puffing). I paid $3500 for a smaller couch with a $600 warranty added. I have asked them to remove the warranty so I can purchase the missing piece (although I was mislead) and was rejected. I did not realize he took a piece off to make it seem like I was getting a better deal. He said he took money off from the warranty but in reality he took a whole piece off. I do not want this couch nor any couch from Ashley's but I am not able to get a refund only an exchange. I am highly upset and frustrated regarding this situation. It is not fair, I am not paying for that couch.

Long story short, they decided if there isn't any mold it isn't covered and they will not replace the chair. Now trying to get rid of the smell and purchasing all kinds of products to get rid it. I placed an order for this couch on 8/10/22 so that I would have it in time for when I closed on my house in November. I looked at the couch in the store and signs for the couch stated that it was in stock and had "quick ship". I was called in the end of September by an Ashley rep who asked me to schedule a delivery for 10/6 (I thought great my couch will arrive early). Then the same rep called back a week later (and acted like she wasn't the same person I spoke with the week prior) and stated that now my items were not in at the warehouse (they apparently miraculously disappeared?.. I asked what happened and she said sometimes when all your items are not here and we need to fulfill someone else's order we may take the part of your order that is here for someone else's order.... I asked her to explain and she kept saying "I don't know". She then told me 10/27 would be the date my items would arrive at the warehouse.
Another rep called me a few weeks later and said my items would be in on 11/9 and to call back to schedule a delivery.. When I called back the new rep stated my items would be in the warehouse 11/6 but they could not schedule a delivery yet. When I asked to be transferred to a manager I was put on hold and then hung up on. I called back the next day and spoke with someone who said that my item now says 11/19. I asked to be transferred and finally got through to an "escalation manager" who claimed he would get me some answers and that he was going to contact me back the next day with answers.. He did not call me the next day. He finally emailed me after the weekend and gave me the EXACT same answer the previous customer service rep gave me (a manager.. has no more info than a customer service rep)..
I was called today (less than a week since the "escalation manager" told me 11/19) and I was told that now my order is expected at the warehouse on 12/1... And at that time someone will call to schedule a delivery. I then again asked what the hold up was and where my order was and the rep had no idea. She had no information. No one at this company seems to have any information regarding where my product is. I've never experience such incompetence with a company. I still have no idea what is going on with my order. No one in this company has any idea as to how to get any information. OH and lastly..they put my order on hold after taking money in and out of my account for 4 months bc in the 4months it has been my original card that I used to place this order expired. 0 answers given but quick to put my card on hold.

Let no one think of buying in this store. And specifically in Hialeah with the seller C. B, very bad service in all aspects. Only when I returned the entire purchase did the managers appear to fix it. The seller NEVER clarified that the purchase was with interest and then nobody answers you for a solution. 3 defective deliveries in an arcade game over $5K. Until in the 4 delivery they brought it correct. If you can choose another store, do it, avoid buying there.
A complete disaster when processing the financing through two cards and he never informed that it would be with interest or otherwise he would never accept that option. In the store they do everything quickly, they ask you for the license and the social and that's it, but then they are not that fast to solve. You can see in the photos the three defective deliveries and how they omit the client's signature in the consent of the interests and after you realize it is too late and they never answer a call to clarify anything.

Upon calling GBS, found out that only single incident stain is covered, and only if there is no accumulated stain ANYWHERE on the couch. If there is accumulated stain on any part of the couch, warranty stops coverage. This is not specified in the warranty disclosure too! The protection plan is absolute waste of money. Also, stain has to be reported within 30 days.

This issue with my sofa has been going on for months, that's right MONTHS! Paul was the first tech that came out, he took pictures and filed a report. Ordered a new mechanism for the power recliner on the right. The part came. Then a younger tech came out, I think from GBS, took pictures, filed a report. Said we needed a new sofa and didn't install the new mechanism, he threw it away!! Told me to call GBS. Called GBS, they said it wasn't their issue, to call Ashley, called Ashley, said it wasn't their issue, to call GBS, GBS said it wasn't their issue again and said to call Ashley. This is 4 freaking phone calls, told the person that answered that I was really tired of getting the runaround from both of them and to just fix the sofa. Ashley ordered another mechanism. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one was not there to speak to me and would leave her a message to call me, that NEVER happened.
Finally came and Paul came out, Wednesday, 11/2, took the sofa a part, started installing the new mechanism only to discover it was not the correct part. Uninstalled it and put the old part back in so I could at least sit on it. He asked to have the part expedited overnight. Obviously that never happened! Called Ashley yesterday, the person I talked to put me on hold for almost 15 minutes, came back and told me I needed to get her the serial number, I tried to make her understand I was not at home and could not do that. I could barely understand her plus it was horrible noisy. I'm pretty sure she wasn't in this country. I asked her why she didn't look at the technicians notes and pictures and get the info from that. She said I needed to send it to her. Sent it to her. Still didn't get the new mechanism!
Here it is the weekend and I'm sitting here with a broken down sofa. I am a business owner. If this were my company I would have already sent a new out. Great company and customer service you have there, I'm being sarcastic. it is HORRIBLE!!! However Paul the tech is really great. Had Paul not written the serial number down for me I could not have given it to her. I'm almost 70 and not able to get on the floor and then get back up. My legs are really bad and don't function correctly. I am so disappointed and really mad about all of this. Still have not heard anything from you. SHAME ON YOU!!!! Just get me a new sofa!! I ordered a new dining set at the end of June and it was delivered in early July. The store was nice. Service was great. Delivery people were awesome. But every piece of that set was damaged. The chair backs (light) had black marks all over them. The table (dark) had chips and scratches and a hunk out of it. The delivery guys took many pictures and said they would report it. I also called the person who sold me the set and she said she would take care of it. On 7/21 UPS dumped a bunch of large boxes on my front porch and it was determined those were the new chair backs. The bot said they would be out on 9/21. To put them on. I told them I have nowhere to keep these things! So they had someone come out on 7/25. Then they said the table exchange was "still being reviewed" what needs to be reviewed? There's a hunk out of the table! So I wait.
And every time I walk past that table I see another nick or scratch! We hardly even use it! Same with the chair seats now. It's obviously garbage. Finally they said I would get a new table on 9/21. So 9/21 comes around and a guy shows up with a tool box. I was like what the heck? He said I'm here to fix the chair backs. I told him that already was taken care of. So he took more pictures of the table. FINALLY on 9/27 the new table arrives. We look at it closely - every inch ... and it looks fine. Now a few days later I see the corner has a nick in it! And again we hardly use it. We are careful with it because it's such junk. I swear the chairs are made out of balsa wood. I've written to the company and get no reply. I will be posting to the BBB website about this. I want at least half my money back. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE GETTING NICE FURNITURE THAT IS PROPERLY INSTALLED. I went there 2 weeks ago to buy a dining set and bed frame, the sales rep was very nice in working with us and made the entire experience fantastic. He persuaded us into getting delivery and installation which was an extra 150ish and the estimated shipping time was about a week or so. Based on this smooth transaction, I assumed delivery and installation would be the same.
I WAS VERY WRONG. When delivery and installation actually happened a week later, the installer built everything completely uneven so you couldn't sit in any of the dining chairs without it rocking back and forth and our bed frame had pieces that weren't even hooked up. The installer promised he would fix these issues but left immediately!
I called customer service to try and get this fixed but they weren't able to schedule someone sooner than a week. The rep assured me that someone will be out on Saturday to fix it, but Saturday comes and there is no arrival time or update. I called the customer service line again only to be told that the rep before created the ticket wrong since the item is not damaged. The second rep assured me they created the right ticket this time and told me that someone would call me in 2 hours to schedule and if not, then Monday at the latest. It is now Wed and I have called again to be told that the previous rep created the ticket wrong and that they could create another ticket!
It is going on 2 weeks now and no one will schedule someone to come fix their ** work. I don't understand why you would force this terrible installation work quality just to earn a few hundred more dollars. If you want properly installed furniture and not have to chase customer reps around, go to a different furniture store.

Finally talked to a manager who explained that Corporate has CONTROL over their outgoing messages nationwide and has been told numerous times for weeks to change it to their new hours. Aside from that, the store hardly ever answer their phones, so it took countless calls to ask questions about a couch seen online. We almost bought it from another online company - and MUCH less expensive too! But we wanted that couch badly enough to put up with all the nonsense, and realize that buying from a brick and mortar store has benefits that online stores only do NOT offer. Those significantly lower prices will eventually mushroom out of proportion, and getting anything solved is far too aggravating.
The trick at the store number is to chose prompt #2 to want to BUY something, even if calling about an order, or the call goes to a call center. But every time we had to talk to them, their phone system was very garbled and echoing so we didn't understand half of what anyone said. Worst time was when they left a message to call back and confirm delivery. Literally had no idea if they understood what WE said and feared they won't show up!!! Bottom line - we are NOT impressed with Ashley's phone system and related policies, causing their stores and potential customers (NOT GUESTS - what is that nonsense all about calling customers GUESTS?!!) to lose business.

It took 13 tries to get my bedroom set as it always came to me damaged from the warehouse. Then I noticed recently after only having the end table for 3 months that I found another defect in the end table. Asked them about getting it repaired and they would not as it was not pointed out within 72 hrs. of receiving it. The Furniture is supposed to be solid wood, the veneer on top of table is peeling off. Will never buy from the again.

I’m not satisfied at all and will never shop with Ashley Furniture again. I purchased a bed out of pocket. When the bed arrived it was broken. I tried to get the delivery people attention about the bed but they drove off. I called and called and called but nothing was resolved. I drove 30 minutes to the store to talk with someone and they were able to get in contact with the delivery driver to come back. When the delivery driver came back the first thing he noticed were the defects on the bed. The side rails were crooked and the slates legs were high off the ground. He called customer service and the lady from the delivery service department (Maria) had the nastiest attitude about the situation and said it was nothing she could do but send out a service tech. I asked her how long would that take and she said she didn’t know. I would just have to wait.
I called back and asked for a refund. I was told in order for me to get a refund it has to be approved and I will get a call when the refund is approved. I also gave them the option of letting me keep the bed if they didn’t have any in stock and just receive a discount off the bed. I was told again somebody would reach out to me. I was never given any options or callbacks. So I received a text saying that a delivery would be made Oct 5th. I never received anything stating that they were coming to pick up the bed. So the text was written as if they were switching out my bed for another one. This was not the case.
They came to pick up the bed and I have to wait 72 hours for the warehouse to confirm they have the bed then another 48-72 hours for my refund to be processed and there is no telling how long it’s going to take the bank to process the refund to my account. From all of the run-around to the misunderstandings and lies I will never shop or encourage anyone to shop with Ashley Furniture again. The one star is only for my excellent delivery drivers and my Salesman who really showed a lot of compassion and support throughout this process.

Avoid it at all costs! Although I wish I had known this sooner, at least I can advise you not to even think about them. I made a purchase back in July, and the latest delivery date given was September 21st (probably sooner, they said). On Sep. 20th, no one had called me yet to confirm the delivery. I called them and was told the delivery has been moved to the end of October or the beginning of November...
Calling them to inquire is the only way to find out. They couldn't care less about the customer, not even to let us know in advance with a quick call or email. The options were to cancel the order or find something else. By canceling the order, you'd be stuck with no sofa until this date for no reason. Getting something else means trusting them to get the "other option" delivered on the date it was promised. But that's not the end. They've made another promise. The manager would call me the next day to see if there was anything they could do. It's been 2 weeks already... They don't deserve your time and money (btw, all payments have been made on time since the purchase). Ashley South, FL, Order #**

Ashley Furniture justifies this **. I asked what’s the point of having a time frame if you can come when you find like it? They said, "We apologize but nothing can be done. We can reschedule you for next week." THEN I SAY CANCEL THIS IMMEDIATELY AND GIVE ME A FULL REFUND. WORST COMPANY EVER! But it gets worse! Then, they say, “Cancellation takes 7-10 days to process, once processed the refund takes another 7-10 business days to refund (:”. WHAT THE HELL!
So AFTER THEIR ERROR, you either wait a week for another delivery ALTHOUGH I SAT THERE FROM 3 pm (a little before) to 5:30PM. The customer service representative told me I need to send more pictures and they will contact me next week. 2 weeks passed and no one called me. So I called again. This time I was told that I need to call the customer service for online orders. So I called and explained everything again and I was told that someone will contact me. One week later I called and had to explain the situation again to someone new.
I finally escalated the situation enough to be able to speak with the supervisor. She said that she will call me next week and let me know if they can replace the furniture. I waited for 10 business days again and she didn’t call me back. So I called again and this time she wouldn’t talk to me and had someone take my message. I was transferred to another supervisor and was promised a new Sofa on August 1st and even got a confirmation email. Today is September 29th and I still have not received my sofa. 1.) Parts for the headboard weren’t originally shipped with the bed. Very difficult to get ahold of someone to have them ship out the parts I needed.
2.) Headboard lights don’t work.
3.) A tech was supposed to come to my house to fix the headboard lights and put the bed together as a courtesy... The tech never showed up!
4.) I called Ashley and they said a tech was at my house but they went to my old address. I told Ashley TWICE in my emails that I have a new address. (They even sent the omitted parts to my new address.)
5.) I had to hire a handyman to put it together and had to pay $100 out of my own pocket because they didn’t show up. There were several holes missing and he had to drill new ones. Terribly designed!
6.) My headboard lights still do not work. Ashley says that because I moved after I purchased the bed, I no longer have a warranty. (????)
Now I’m out $100 for the handyman and have a bed that has lights that are useless. I’m done with this company.

We purchased a power reclining sofa and power wide seat recliner from Ashley Furniture in February of 2017. We also purchased the extended warranty that they recommended to protect our furniture. When the furniture was delivered it was damaged and it took me several phone calls to customer service to arrange delivery of our replacement furniture. Customer service kept trying to have it delivered during times that I told them we would not be available-finally in October 2017 our replacement furniture was delivered. In December 2021 a mechanism in the power reclining sofa broke in half and we have not been able to sit on that side of the sofa without being tipped backwards.
A claim was filed with the warranty company and a technician came out in January 2022 to verify the claim. We were informed by the technician that the sofa could not be repaired and he recommended that we get a replacement sofa. In March I was informed that a part was on order for the mechanism that was broken and the sofa would not be replaced. I have reached out to the warranty company several times and they are informing me that Ashley Furniture has not responded to repeated emails (that are getting bounced back) and telephone calls to fix this problem. I have been told that my claim has been escalated to the next level. This is not acceptable and is just plain poor customer service. We would like to be able to use our sofa that we paid good money for.

I purchased an expensive couch and ottoman from Ashley Furniture last year. I was told it would be smart to get a warranty since I have 3 children. I purchased the warranty as well and tried to make a claim a few days ago on the ottoman. The entire middle of the ottoman caved in like the support gave out. As I was filling out the questionnaire to submit the warranty claim I chose "loss of resiliency" for the damage. Maybe that wasn't the best option but it seemed like the best one to me. I get an email from the warranty support team telling me that since I chose this option, one that they provided, the ottoman would not be covered under warranty but that I could contact a repair man for a quote. I don't understand the point of a warranty that instantly shoots claims down unless they are just a scam. I also think the Ashley furniture sales team most likely knows this and this is just to get their sales up.

We bought this beautiful brown leather sofa set about 1 1/2 yr ago. The seats are already sagging and the leather covering on the seat area has stretched giving it an even more sagging appearance and one of the USB plugs stopped working. CSR sent someone out to check it out and they agreed the metal on the sofa had bent on both sofas, (mind you we are retired and it's only my husband and I here most of the time. My husband only weighs 180lbs and me, 145lbs) and it would require replacing the metal reclining leg part and USB as well. A month later a service man arrived, re-stuffed the sofa seating with more padding and replaced the bent metal and USB part. Even after all this it STILL looks like the cushions are sagging in front bc the leather itself has stretched. On top of all that the color has starting coming off and there are light spots on the sofas. They look like they are at least 5 to 7 years old.
I would have never thought in only a year and a half my furniture would already look and feel this worn. Even though we bought the extended warranty, (thank God because had we not we would have been SOL!) it does not cover the leather covering. No, I will never buy from Ashley Furniture again. This furniture quality is that of Rooms to Go. Which equals to furniture that looks great but very cheaply made. Spend the extra money and buy from a higher end store that sells quality furniture that will last. So disappointed in the quality of my furniture.

I guess some of these reviews were from a different management group. We ordered a bedroom suite from John ** who we thought was great in APRIL. We built a house and the closing date was moved up. We were told that there would be no problem in moving up the date; delivering to our house 30 miles away (another Ashley's was in our town) and we would have it delivered when we want. We were so impressed that we came back and ordered end tables. The total was around $4,000. In early August we were told we would have this in a couple weeks. After texts for four weeks in which we were told the delivery date was now mid-September, I found out it was on indefinite hold.
After being told for weeks the delivery was being escalated and notes to management and other similar excuses with no follow up, I went into the store to find out why and learned because we were 30 miles away, they would only deliver the furniture when all pieces were in the warehouse. Furthermore, I found out we were charged more and the order was being held up because we were "out of route" for the Wilmington store. I had enough so I wanted a refund. After more excuses, I said to cancel the order... The GM said was I rude..after only hearing about the canceled order. He didn't acknowledge the rudeness of being neglected for MONTHS and lied to about the delivery times and the reason for the delay. I have bought from Ashley's furniture since 1992 and love the quality and the brand. BUT DON"T GO TO The Wilmington, NC Mayfaire Ashley's on market road. Don’t buy the insurance plan they try to sell everyone. My wife and I trusted them and regret it. It’s a horrible scam. Within a year, the $300 office chair I bought (now marked up to ~$400 on their app) broke within a year of normal use. Completely broke, as in I have no office chair and have to borrow my wife’s when I can or balance on this broken junk heap of a chair. So I file a claim.
First, the insurance company took 20 days just to approve the claim, but only for $180 (the value we paid for it after the discounts applied), not the value of the chair. Or a replacement of the same low quality chair, which is now uninsured. So you have no chance to get a different item of equivalent value. But that’s not where it ends. They don’t sell many office chairs, and this is a store credit. The few I chose would be either nearly $400 (they kindly offered 10% off lol) or take 45 days because they were out of stock. There were more I asked for from their app, but those were “online only” and I wasn’t allowed to apply my credit toward them.
Finally I was forced to settle on a replacement of the same bad quality chair with 1 year manufacturer warranty (great, just long enough to run out before it breaks). And wait 11 more days for shipping. So all in all the insurance was useless, the furniture was bad quality, I went 30 days without an office chair, and Ashley Furniture left me with nothing but regret.

I wish I could give 0 stars, but 1 is the lowest so I'll do that. I bought a $3,000 couch 6 months ago, it broke after a few days. My partner and I have since been dealing with the absolute worst service either of us have ever had. We call, we get hung up on. We are told we'll be called back, we get no calls. We have been calling, emailing, texting at least twice a week for 6 months with hardly anyone responding.
Finally a month ago we were able to get the replacement piece delivered... And they wouldn't accept the broken piece that we've had for 5 months because it had like 10 pieces of small dog hair. We have 2 small dogs and we've been trying to get the piece replaced for SIX MONTHS. If the company had gotten the piece replaced when we called about it SIX MONTHS AGO, maybe there wouldn't be any dog hair, but as it is it's impossible to get every molecule off. Especially when we have to wait weeks and months to finally get delivery service here. You expect us to just never let a dust particle of dog hair on the couch???
Oh, and the second time they finally got the piece shipped out, which was today, we were told yet again it couldn't be replaced because of the dog hair. I asked where in the contract it says it can't be accepted with a minuscule amount of dog hair. I was told it's in the DELIVERY DRIVER'S contract, but not ours... With no due respect, that is NOT my problem. We even had a rep weeks ago say she would put a note on the driver's order form saying to take the piece even if there is dog hair because it's ridiculous. And that didn't happen. We were told today that the drivers would have to pay out of pocket if there was hair.
So... Your company is now guilt tripping us into keeping a $3,000 BROKEN couch that we paid a $400 warranty on? No. I do not care about the $2 that the driver might have to pay for the 10 god dang pieces of hair on this BROKEN couch that we've been trying to get fixed for SIX MONTHS. Again, maybe if there was proper customer service and literally anybody responded to our 100+ calls and emails, maybe the couch wouldn't have hair because it wouldn't be sitting in our small apartment with 2 shedding dogs for, and I can't say this enough, SIX. MONTHS.
I also know the shipping company is separate from Ashley, but since they work together, it should have been stated in OUR warranty contract that the warranty is basically null and void if there's hair on the broken piece. Because if that was the case, I wouldn't have paid $400 EXTRA for a service that wasn't going to be provided anyway.
I can not express how angry this whole ordeal has made me, it's taking all of my will power to not absolutely cuss every representative out or just dump the broken couch in front of Ashley Home and refuse to pay another cent. Because this is just ridiculous beyond measure, and I shouldn't be having to pay $3,000 and $400 for a warranty when all we've had is a broken, uncomfortable piece of furniture, and not a single rep or manager will help us.
And I know it's just a couch, it's not the end of the world, but this thing was $3,000, I'm still paying on it, and it's been broken practically since the day we got it. We've had to use this now-very uncomfortable couch for half a god dang year and then we're told it can't be replaced because it has some hair on it???? And nobody has been willing or able to help us. We call and we're ignored, we have been incredibly patient and this company does not deserve it. I wish I had never even stepped foot inside the store, and I will be posting this review everywhere I can because maybe then we'll get some customer support on this BROKEN. $3K. PIECE OF CRAP FURNITURE. But probably not, if there's anything I've learned from the past half-year, it's that Ashley Home Furniture does not care about their customers.

I’ve contacted the store with a response being that, “Hi Sarah, I do apologize for the delay. I’ve been talking to the General Manager and service about this, and they said this is not a quality issue and the pilling is normal. The easiest way to quickly take care of this is with a fabric shaver, and it will look like new afterwards. I’m sorry this probably isn’t the answer you were looking for. If I can be of any other help, please reach out.”
I did not purchase a couch for over 1400 dollars to be told that. My last couch that is 4-5 years old actually looks better than my new couch. This is not normal. I would think such a large company would stand behind their products. If I wanted a cheap worn down looking couch I would have bought a cheap one or a second hand one. Do Not buy anything from Ashley Furniture, especially Ashley Furniture in El Cajon! Horrible. We purchased a new mattress, was told it came with a "free" adjustable frame. In addition, we also purchased a new bedroom set for our daughter. In the showroom we triple confirmed with the sale associate and the manager regarding the style of the headboard for the new bedroom set, when it was delivered it was the wrong headboard. It took several weeks to get that fixed. But the best part is that the "free" adjustable frame, was not available for many many weeks... so they upgraded us, we were told it was a great deal about $1,800.00 adjustable frame for $300.00.... Of course it's too good to be true. Because the adjustable frame that they sold us does NOT go with the Tempurpedic mattress.
The adjustable frame, creaks, and often times feels like the mattress is going fall through it. We were told to "take a video of the creaking". Really, while sleeping? The store manager (from Murrieta) and the "Sale Manager" both said to myself and a business colleague in the store that, "the adjustable frame that we sold you was not correct, that does not go with the Tempurpedic mattress". He further stated, "we should not have sold you that adjustable frame". The Murrieta store manger again said (in front of the "Sale Manager", and two other customer service agents behind the counter) that, "we never should have sold you that adjustable frame".
By the way, this store manager was covering the El Cajon store since the other manger Jairo, who we had been talking with was just let go!? What? I just spoke with him the evening before and we had formulated a plan. The Murrieta store manager stated, "the adjustable frame that goes with the Tempurpedic mattress is about $2,000.00 - $2,500.00 and upwards". We told him that we were never informed about the correct adjustable frame. So the Murrieta store manager and the "Sales Manager" had to call and email corporate, Richard and get permission to make us happy customers. Wow!

The next day, Ashley delivery called and asked if the couple would like delivery early, like the next day early. The couple declined saying they were happy with the original date. The delivery day finally came, and went. The couple were disappointed. They called Ashley. Ashley said that the delivery had been rescheduled for two weeks more... Because two of the items were out of stock. "Wait," said the couple, "you had some when you wanted to deliver early, but now you are fresh out!?"

We have been dealing with Ashley Furniture since March of this year trying to get our furniture right. First it took them over 2 months to get the furniture to us which I can understand because all business are problems obtaining merchandise. But when we finally did get our furniture at the beginning of July, one piece was broken and almost every other piece has black scuff marks on them. They were off-white pieces. We filed reports immediately and were assured someone would take care of it. A delivery was scheduled around the middle of June to replace the broken piece. Still no word on the scuffed pieces at that time. On the delivery day we waited all day. At 9 PM that night we get a call telling us it was too late and our delivery would have to be rescheduled.
After waiting 2 weeks we had received no word, so I called and then it was rescheduled. We got our piece delivered at 10 PM on our delivery day which was at the beginning of August. About a week later a technician finally came out to inspect the scuffed pieces. He determined the scuffs could not be removed and would contact Ashley to see what they wanted to do. We heard nothing so I called just last week and was told we were scheduled to have our furniture replaced on August 27th. I asked when was someone going to let me know this. All I got was "Oh I'm sorry."
Today is August 28th and I just got an email telling me my delivery is ESTIMATED to be around the 31st. From March to August 31st and I still do not have a definite date when my order will be fulfilled correctly. Whenever I call. I get this speech that sounds like they are reading a prewritten speech and they never really answer my questions. I will NEVER buy from Ashley Furniture again. I will go to Big Lots for furniture before I buy from them. Let me add that this was no small order. My home was flooded and I had to refurnish my entire home. I am still not finished. I wasn't excited with that, but was willing to wait for my brand new Ashley product. I needed a sofa, in cream color, with recliners. Not many on the market in that color. On May 9th, received an email that delivery delayed, no date. Finally was told it would deliver June 11th. I was going out of town for business, but waited for the delivery. Unpacked it on June 19th.
On July 9th, with 3 weeks of use, my nightmare of multiple warranty claims began. Footrests had creases and wrinkles, sofa seat was compressed and did not return to level of rest of sofa...Yes, only 3 weeks of use at this point. The technician arrived a few weeks later, jammed some fiberfill in ONE side of the sofa (lopsided at this point) and very uncomfortable. Another series of emails, multiple calls, multiple texts to get another warranty claim. Couple more weeks, different tech comes out. Tells me this type of fabric prone to retaining creases; put foam instead of fiberfill. Creases still there.
Another series of emails, calls & texts, I get a call. They offer me $300 to keep the sofa, or exchange for same sofa. I say, $300 to keep a sofa that looks like I've had it for several years (creases & uneven)? Even exchange for a poorly constructed sofa - why would I want a replica of this? I told the agent "this is not acceptable". Received an email today that this will be their only offer.
Sad to say, the business practices that made Ashley Furniture a great company are no longer observed. I do not want to have a "new" couch with creases, dents & uneven seating for a net cost of over $700 (after their $300), looks like I bought it at a cheap thrift store. I definitely don't want a couch made out of fabric that retains creases by its very nature - why would this fabric be chosen?
I wish I could post a copy of the interactions & summary timeline of just how much effort I've had to put in trying to get 1) a sofa that is not an eyesore; 2) reasonable effort to accept this as a return and credit me (at this point, having seen their "customer service" and how well they back their product, do I really wish to be forced into spending $1000 plus at their store because they will not stand behind their product?), even though at this point, that's not even on the table. My only offer consists of $300 or exact same model...Very unacceptable!

Our bed arrived without hardware. Instead of Ashley rectifying the mistake, they had the contractor take the bed back to the warehouse. Now we have no bed and husband had back surgery. They say the will “contact” us in 48 hours?? In the meantime, he has to sleep on the floor (we gave away our old furniture in anticipation of the new bedroom set). Why not leave the bed and send someone with screws. Or, tell us what screws we need and we could get them at Home Depot and put together ourselves. I don’t think a few bucks of hardware is worth getting sued for damages.

I purchased living room furniture from what I thought was an honorable, reputable furniture store and have been sorely disappointed. I have yet to use the bed part of the sofa. This is in a home with a 100 pound elderly person who rarely even sits on it. The arm on one side is defective, broken, (however you want to call it). A support board is loose, broken, not doing what it should, but because I can't directly see that it is broken, I have been told by customer service and the extra protection plan tech that it is not broken and therefore will NOT fix it.
I'm not a furniture expert, but when I hear sounds coming from somewhere where it shouldn't be and sagging I know there is a problem. I was told unless I can see it broken then it's not broken. If you sit on hold long enough you hear how they say they have great products and customer service - I BEG TO DIFFER. I now have an expensive leather sleeper sofa that is broken and I have no recourse. I was also told by customer service that they only cover for a year. My response was " so, after a year and the furniture is broken I should come buy another one from your company?" Their response was 'yes!' I not only wasted money on the furniture but also on the extended warranty protection plan as well. My advice don't buy from Ashley Furniture as they don't stand behind their products.

I purchased a couch on 3/12/2022 originally that was $1000. When it came in, it had turned out the couch was 2 pieces and the money we spent was basically a sharp angled chaise with no armrests. It was delivered within 2 weeks of purchase, and I called to find out why I did not receive the entire couch the day of. I was able to get a discount on the second piece, which was delivered close to 3 weeks later. The entire time, we had almost nothing to sit on besides the tiny chaise. When the second piece was finally delivered and set up, I was very satisfied. However, the second piece broke within a month of purchase. I had to call 5 times to get it replaced, every single time I was told I would "hear back soon".
After I heard that the couch was finally going to be replaced, I was told the warehouse is currently out of stock on the specific model couch I'd purchased. So I waited a month & called back in May, for them to tell me they would not receive the product in until July. I waited until July, called, and was told a later date (July 13th turned to July 19th), I called back on that next date & the shipment was postponed again. This time until the end of July. I called at the end of July, the representative told me there was another delay until August 6th. I called on August 6th, the representative stated it would be in August 9th.
Today is August 10th & I've been told the couch is postponed until August 19th. I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was put on hold for 3 minutes, and the representative hung up on me when she got back on the line. I'm so incredibly frustrated and I wish I'd known how ** this company is before I purchased a piece of their furniture. The warranty, the couch, all of it is not worth this frustration.

Updated on 08/26/2022: I wrote a review and immediately received a call from the store offering me a replacement only if I removed my review but would not schedule the delivery until the review was down. I removed the review thinking they finally wanted to solve the problem. But....they only delivered part of the sectional (the part with the broken frame) and left me with the other half of the couch. There is a 2 inch difference in cushion height and the two pieces do not fit together right not to mention the color difference. I called them back and spoke to the same person and after she talked to her Manager they said there is nothing they can do for me. I can either keep it as is or they can deliver the broken piece back to me. When I asked to speak to the field leader in charge she said "it will just come back to me anyway". Their furniture is literally stapled together and they really don't care about quality or customer service.
Original: We purchased a sectional sofa in Aug of 2021 and within the first year it started to make cracking noises, small at first but continued to get worse. I first reported it to the warranty company that we purchased and after a couple weeks of back and forth I was referred back to Ashley for a manufacture warranty. I spend an entire day trying to get someone on the phone with no luck so I went to the store and filed a claim. It took 8 days for someone to call me to schedule an appointment that was another 7 days outs.
We were moving that weekend and was told that the warranty would be void if we move so I was insistent for someone to come before our move date and was told someone would reach out in the next 24 hours. No call and now my couch is out of warranty. Someone showed up to my old house on the date the person scheduled but of course we don't live there anymore. I then report this to our paid warranty again and it was denied because it was an issue over 30 days old. So now I have a sofa less than a year old with a broken frame and no-one willing to accept responsibility. We have shopped at Ashley several times over the years and this will be the last time. It's not the poor quality, I understand that happens but it's the blatant lack of concern that they sold me this junk sofa that I will have to re-enforce myself to make it last a couple more years before I break down and put in the trash.

Called within 30 minutes of them delivering and was told they were already out of my area. So now I am stuck with a piece of junk that no one will come and get until at least at a minimum of Monday. I understand that sometimes in shipping from one warehouse to another that things can be damaged, it's the lack of support when it is. It would not have killed the drivers to come back and get this piece of junk.

Multiple levels of customer representative that you have to deal with before reaching the right person who is able to answer your question, but still there is no accountability and no direct person who has the authority to make a decision that you can talk to. They are rude, they lie and do not communicate back (email or call). Online business is different from in-store business. There is no guarantee what you see instore is same you will get if you chose to order online.
Had an issue with an expensive couch. Couch has a bad feathery smell that didn't go after more than 2 weeks of being in house. Called and a tech guy came and agreed to have equal amount exchange (no returns as it's beyond 1 week). After multiple calls, saying request is denied to only one piece of sectional will be replaced, they scheduled a second tech guy visit. We purchased a sofa in Jan 2020, 3 months later the frame broke in 2 spots. Due to COVID it took them months to come to "repair" it. They also tried to force me to use the warranty that was pushed on us to buy! (We were told it would cover EVERYTHING, We felt pressured and we were assured it would replace or refund any of the sofa if we were not happy with any thing in the 5 years.) I then had to argue with Ashley's and said it is within the first year so I will not go thru the ins policy. They argued and I finally got them to send someone! It was prob 4-5 months AFTER we called about the frame. So right off the bat we had a sofa we couldn't use for at least 6 months!
The tech came and "repaired" it. However he also left us a bag of the fabric used on the sofa saying we would prob need it (I still have the bag). Well within another year the frame broke again and the entire sofa is falling apart at the seams (every part of sofa) and the Ottoman is so broken that there is a hard piece of wood on it (hard to explain but there is no support just wood). It's actually dangerous. We filed the claims and Montage (which took forever as they kept asking for the same pics and kept saying they would get back to us and never would) we actually called weekly and asked for managers who promised they would call back and never did!
Finally they said it's wear and tear and they will not cover any of it! They only offered a replacement for the ottoman (saying they have no idea when they could get it to us) or less than half of what we paid because I stated it was dangerous! The rest they said is wear and tear and we need to fight with the manufacturer. First off we were sold that policy stating it covers everything and no way is a two year old couch that already broke 2 times and now is falling apart at the seams everywhere "wear and tear" and in researching the insurance company and Ashley, we now know that is all they do to everyone!
I then went to Ashley's direct and complained and was given a case number. They then sent me right back to the insurance company saying they would help me! They didn't, I knew they wouldn't. All that happens is it goes back and forth and no one helps. Now I have a sofa I can't use. It's so broken and I had to purchase a new one from a different store.

Furnished my entire Nevada house w/ Ashley Furniture a few years ago, including a cloth sectional. I fell in love with the sectional but I have always had leather so I was extremely hesitant to purchase cloth. The salesperson convinced me I should go with what I love and assured me their warranty company, ProtectAll, would repair or replace the sectional if anything happened.
I have now been trying for over a year to get a replacement cushion using the Protectall warranty. First, they stated they had no record of my having purchased the sectional as part of the warranty. Went to Ashley and got an itemized invoice and sent it to them. They then took months to get someone out to assess the sectional. It then took weeks for them to reply that the sectional would need a replacement cushion and that it had been approved and I could expect to receive it in 4-6 weeks. That was 4 months ago. Every time I reach out to Protectall regarding the replacement cushion, they state that they are experiencing delays.
I contacted the Ashley store where I purchased an entire house of furniture and the representative stated they have been getting a lot of complaints about Protectall and that they're not responsive. I am hesitant to shop at Ashley ever again after this experience. I went with Protectall because it is a warranty company they highly recommended and sold me and now I am stuck with a sofa with a damaged cushion that I had planned to sell or donate prior to relocating. The movers are coming in 4 days....

If you want poor customer service and a hassle to get a refund, this is your place to shop. We purchased a love seat from the Melbourne, Florida store in January, 2022. It was delivered as expected but after a few days we realized it was defective (not as firm as the one on display in the store). We called Customer Care which resulted in being number 78 in the on-hold queue. You have the option of having them call you back which they did an hour or so later but we were told that the product could not be returned because it was more than X days from delivery. We called again and this time was number 400+ in the on-hold queue. They returned our call and scheduled an inspection.
The Ashley inspector arrived on-time and found the loveseat to be defective, took photos, etc. He said he would note our desire to have the unit returned for a refund and we would be contacted within 72 hours. That didn't happen. Yet another call to Customer Care resulting in number several hundred in the on-hold queue. They called us a couple of hours later and said the only option was a replacement or in-store credit and the Inspector had no say in that the unit could be returned for refund. We stated would we would decide and call back.
Another call to Customer Care (same scenario of number ** on-hold and call back) but this time was told the unit could be returned for either an in-store credit or refund. We elected refund and was told that it would take two billing cycles before the credit would appear. The unit was picked up as scheduled in March. Two billing cycles later, no refund. Call again to Customer Care (similar on-hold times and call back. We never spoke to a Rep when we initiated the call; only after we requested a call back). We were told a 'case' was opened that would be sent to the store for processing and the store would then contact financing for the refund. No results. Still no refund.
In June, I contested the charge in writing to the Ashley credit card company, Synchrony and sent a copy to the Melbourne store with attention to the Finance Department. I also filed a complaint with the Florida State's Attorney General Office. I promptly received a response from the AG office that they were requesting Ashley to respond to them. A refund was posted late June.
We also ordered a matching ottoman the same day as the loveseat. We canceled the order in February and confirmed the cancellation in March during one of the several calls above to Customer Care. We made a deposit on the ottoman at the time of order. We are still waiting for that refund and a letter is headed to the store about this.
Bottom line:- Good luck on quickly speaking to a Customer Care representative.
- You are told different things depending on which agent you speak with.
- Calls to the local store's number results in being connected to Customer Care (i.e. long on-hold queue) so it appears to be impossible to actually speak to anyone in the store.
- Getting refund requires many calls, letters and perhaps formal complaints with your State's Consumer Protection Agency.

On May 21, 2022, we purchased bedroom furniture for our master bedroom. When the furniture was delivered on July 7th, the headboard and siderails were returned items and not in an original box. Since the headboard did not have any damage we were okay with accepting the furniture. We were not contacted before delivery to let us know the item was a return and given the option to either accept it or not. The delivery service could not finish bringing the furniture into the house and assemble it because one of the men threw his back out while bringing in the first piece. I was asked if it was okay to put the furniture in our garage, that way they did not have to send another delivery truck and could just send a couple guys with the necessary tools.
In an effort to move this process along and not have to wait to be put back in the delivery cycle I agreed. The following day we called to see when we could expect someone and was told that they would not be able to get to us for a few days. Since that was not acceptable to us, we ended up getting the furniture in and assembling it ourselves. When we started to assemble the bed, we found that the siderails were not the correct ones for our headboard and storage footboard, there was no hardware included to assemble and the slats for the mattress support was not included. No one from the store where we purchased the furniture has ever accepted any kind of responsibility and have insinuated that this was our fault or the fault of the third-party delivery company.
We have contacted the customer service 866 number, while they have been as helpful as they can be, they have informed us that they only deal with online orders. One customer service representative did help us place a replacement order for the missing and correct siderails. The representative I spoke with today was able to contact the parts department and was informed that our missing parts order was scheduled for delivery in early September. While we have been happy with the quality of the furniture, the customer service after the purchase has been very bad. The only future purchases I will make from Ashley will be items I can take home with me at the time of purchase.

We went to Ashley Furniture in Covington on Memorial Day to shop for furniture. We had relocated and our stuff is not here yet. We are living in an empty house. We explained that to our sales person who was standing next to a pylon that said "IN STOCK". She proceeded to sell us an "IN STOCK" sectional and a mattress that has the lifting mechanism for the base. We were told the mattress was "IN STOCK", but the base would have to be ordered. We were promised a delivery date of June 2nd.
We are quite certain that the sales person used the "IN STOCK", and the promise of the "white glove delivery and assembly service" to make the sale, knowing full well that we were not going to get our merchandise when promised. My husband called the store to talk to the sales person, and was referred to somebody else who was quite rude with him. He was told we might be able to get the furniture on the 17th. This last week he contacted the store again, and was told that the furniture was in the warehouse, but they were not going to be able to bring it out until the 3rd week in July. During this time his truck had arrived, so he asked if he could go to the warehouse and pick it up. He was told yes he could.
He contacted the warehouse yesterday to confirm that our product was indeed in the warehouse and ready for pick up. He was assured that it was there and ready to go. He took the day off from work, and we headed to the warehouse in Gonzales where the furniture was allegedly housed and ready for pick up. It took 2 1/2 hours to drive to Gonzales. When we arrived at Gonzales, we were told that the furniture might be on the trucks that were going to be unloaded that day, but there was no way of knowing for sure. The lady was nice enough, and said she would call my husband and we could come back and get it.
I am not sure if it is just this store that operates with no integrity, or if Ashley furniture has just gone down the tubes and they all just lie to make the sale. We purchased furniture from Ashley 20 years ago, a whole house full which we just sold before we moved. It was great furniture, the owners were the best, and we were extremely happy with it. It took hours to contact the store manager who told us they were not in stock & the sales person Mike didn't work for the company anymore. We had a housewarming party with guests & were left stranded. It has been 24hrs, no refund or solution so far. We will take legal action. How can you charge for goods if you don't have them in stock. The invoice also clearly mentions a full refund of goods are not delivered on the date. They never informed us of incomplete delivery. The manager keeps calling to say he is trying but it's clearly not working. We have no choice but to take legal action. We are cheated. The broken bed has to either be replaced or returned but Ashley are not answering.

The sales Lady was very good. The sofa on the shop floor was what I wanted. What happened after was extremely unacceptable. The sectional sofa and Ottoman was delivered. One section was wrong as it faced the opposite way. This was sent back and a new one delivered a few weeks later. The new sectional sofa does not fit flush and a technician came out to fix it with no luck. Not a massive issue. My main issue was the Ottoman which overhung on each side of it by about an inch. I said to the delivery driver that I didn’t want to accept it as it looks terrible and didn’t fit. He said, "Don’t worry, list all your issues within 48 hours and they will be sorted." They sent a new a technician to fix the issue. He came with a new covering and fitted it. As the issue was the unit itself being too big there was no change in the massive overhang.
After sending photos to their office they said it was within their standards. After more going back and forth they sent another technical out. The same result – you can’t fix a manufacturing default if something is too big. They said there was nothing they could do. I then complained to the Better Business Bureau and Ashley opened up the case again. This time they sent 2 technical over. They managed to fix 2 sides of the overhang but made the other 2 sides even worse. Also they made the inside of it very scrappy. They left and then I didn’t hear anything back from them. I then phoned them again and again. Then there were some exchanging of emails. The last thing they said was: “Unfortunately the only thing left would be to send someone else out to have a look. As per our Master Tech this is within standards.”
As far as he can tell the last Tech did a great job. And these unit very rarely ever line right up, there is usually a bit of an overhang. Albert Einstein quoted this: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” All I wasn’t was a replacement that fits or I swap it for the one on the showroom floor. How many times can a company send you circles is beyond me. I RECOMMEND NOT TO BUY FROM ANY ASHLEY STORES AND IF YOU DO, DO NOT ACCEPT DELIVERY OF AN ITEM YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH.

Sales person said the product is made in US, but we found the label showing it is made in Vietnam. There are strong chemical smell and I fell uncomfortable even I start to sleep in this room after two weeks of it arrival. I called the customer service and they said smell is not in their service. I do not know what to do with these furniture because I am not sure if they are safe to my health. They will tell you whatever they think you need to hear to make a sale. We recently bought a table that the salesperson absolutely guaranteed would be delivered on a certain date a few weeks hence. We insisted on a guarantee because of previous purchases that were delivered much later than promised. Anyway, the date came and went with no word. After several lengthy calls in which we were given various dates, we were finally told that the item was no longer available. I don't believe we ever would have been told that had we not called. Also, earlier furniture we bought--electrically adjustable couches--stopped working twice within weeks. Now it's stopped a third time and we've been told to expect a call from a service technician that I suspect will never come. And, of course, there's no way to track our service request. I will never shop at Ashley's again. If I could give it a negative score, I would.

This place ran my credit with 6 different credit companies, came back and said that I was approved for $5,000. She said we would only have to put down like $50. My husband put down $255 and then came back and said we had to pay for the night stand - $500. The sales lady did not even come back to work the next day because she knew that she was wrong. The manager called and we went in and cancelled the order altogether and she said we would be refunded within 2-3 business days. This was 3 MONTHS AGO - We are going up there and not leaving with our money. This is the WORST service and company I have EVER done business with. The girl screwed my credit, I have people from these credit companies telling me we owe them money.
WE CANCELLED THE WHOLE ORDER. Oh, AND we were in the store for 4 hours. We were trying to give the girl the benefit of the doubt. The manager won't return my calls or texts. I am so angry. The information for my e-mail address and for my home address was not even correct in the system. This was a complete scam. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. CRAP SERVICE and THIEVES.

This is THE WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had. They DO NOT care about their customers. They DO NOT care about the quality of their furniture. I bought a new house. Went in the week before closing to get furniture ordered (September 2021). Ordered a beautiful, leather living room set. Sofa, loveseat, and recliner. Apparently it’s being discontinued, so we got a great deal! Upon delivery, the backs of all 3 pieces were scraped and torn. Holes in the leather. Looks like they scraped it against the wall of the delivery truck. The delivery guys shrugged their shoulders and told us they had to drop it off and we had to call the store. Well you can’t call the store. You have to call the “corporate office.” I call, they magically have another set and agree to swap it.
It’s delivered on 10/8 and looks great. Fast forward to November 7 and the recliner breaks. The frame of the chair is severed in 2 pieces. A week later, the loveseat recliner is off the track and leaning to the right. I purchased the warranty for $500 so I called them. They told me to submit a claim and provide photos, new parts will be delivered to my house and I am to call them again for them to send someone out to fix them. The parts arrive, the guy comes to the house, they’re the wrong parts. He’s now ordering correct ones. They never show up. It’s now March and I’m beyond frustrated. I call and tell them just to come get the furniture and give me my money back. They said that’s not an option because the furniture has been in my house too long (6 months).
So now store credit for the base price of the 3 pieces is offered. They refused to take the furniture back. Told me to sell it. Who is going to buy broken furniture that I just spent $4000 on? She tells me to go back to the store and pick out a new living room set. BUT I’ll have to pay cash for a new warranty and delivery. I go to the store and nothing is comparable to what I have, even being broken. So I left, very frustrated. Called them back and they told me I could go to the Ashley Outlet at Regency and see if there’s something there. At this point I’m over it so I just left it alone. Fast forward to May. I decided that I was going to try to have the recliner repaired from an outside company and I would go use the store credit for a couple other things I need.
I go in and pick out $3600 worth of furniture. A new couch, tv stand, and bench. They call me the next day and say “we’ve ordered parts for your furniture to be repaired, the technician is going to come fix it, you only have $980 credit now instead of $3600.” So they decided to fix my loveseat, attempted to fix the recliner. It still isn’t fixed (as of today 6/7/22). So I go back to the store and just order the bench and tv stand for the $980 credit. Got a call this morning that they want to come pick up the recliner to be able to use the store credit. But this wasn’t an option 4 months ago. They REFUSED to take it back and refund me. I told them I was keeping the recliner because I do not want a mismatched living room set. So they say “New management, new rules, no return, no credit.”
I TRIED TO RETURN THE FURNITURE FOR A REFUND IN MARCH. They gave me store credit “for my troubles” and told me I could use it for anything I wanted. Now I still have a broken recliner, no store credit, no matching replacement. DO NOT GIVE ASHLEY FURNITURE YOUR BUSINESS. Also, the same day I ordered my living room set, my friend ordered a dining table, 4 chairs, and a matching bench. Supposed to be delivered in December. Not delivered, she called for an update. They have the table but no chairs or bench. They’ll put her on a text update list. She never gets an update. Calls back in January. Now they have the table and chairs but no bench. Won’t deliver until all the pieces are ready. Calls back in February, they have the table and bench but no chairs. She asked why are you giving my pieces away. Every time I call, you have a different combination of my pieces. So she asked for a refund and they gave it to her.

I will say one manager is being very helpful when she found out what was going on and is trying to help us. We purchased a sectional couch in the store. After waiting 16 or so weeks, lots of misinformation and conflicting information on delivery dates and the website told us we could have it in two days If we ordered the same couch??? The salesman ordered the couch backwards with the Chaise on the wrong side. The manager helping us at the store is the only reason we haven’t cancel the entire order because we really like this couch and we want it but this is absolutely unacceptable. Salespeople should know what they’re doing that’s why we went to the store otherwise we could’ve just ordered it online for a better price. To sum up our experience-we ordered a 5 piece sectional and ottoman in store on Jan 1. We asked for the sectional layout exactly as was displayed in the store and were very clear about what we wanted.
The salesman assured us that what was on order was the exact item numbers on the floor. 4/18 we were told all items were available for delivery except the chaise which would be available 5/13. We asked to hold until it was complete. 5/11 we followed up on delivery and the pieces were no longer available. At this same time, website showed exactly same sectional available for delivery 3 days after purchase for $2000 less. Come 6/3, ottoman still on back order, couch delivered with incorrect orientation, chaise and sofa sent back, 3 pieces of sectional kept. Customer service has not processed the return and reorder and we need delivery of what we ordered. If this issue isn’t resolved immediately we will be filing a consumer complaint and will use every agency and social media avenue to share our frustration With Ashley.

This review is about our entire experience beginning Dec 6, 2021 to now. We ordered a Ralene Dining Server with $100 expert assembly through Handy on Dec 6, 2021 (online order) and we understood that the piece was on back order for 3-5 months. We then received multiple emails rescheduling the assembly from Handy, once on Dec 21, 2021, then Dec 29, then Apr 6, 2022, then again Apr 8.
A Handy professional came on Apr 8, but we did not have the furniture because Ashley rescheduled the delivery multiple times. So we had to turn down the professional on Apr 8, even though we were charged for completion of the service. We spoke with Handy, and they said they would apply the charge to the eventual completion of the assembly. We also called Ashley to ask why the piece was further delayed, and they refunded us 5% of the entire purchase. Fast forward to May 30.
We received an email from Ashley that the product was on its way, and we received it on June 1. So we called a number provided by Handy in an email that connected us to Home Advisor from Angi. They allegedly scheduled an assembly date for today. However, when calling to check on the status of the appointment, there was no appointment, so we called Handy who said no appointment was scheduled. So now, we rescheduled (again) an appointment for assembly next week. The person we spoke to a couple days ago allegedly scheduling the appointment today told us that Handy and Home Advisor were the same company, but that is not the case. We were confused because the Handy number we were given directed us to Home Advisor. Very confusing, and I would love an explanation from a manager, owner, CEO, anyone!!!
Complaints: Ashley and Handy have zero accountability when it comes to communication. If Ashley does not have the product ready for delivery, why is Handy scheduling appointments for assembly? While customers should check the status of these things, they shouldn't be relied upon to communicate to both Ashley and Handy. Ashley and Handy need to do a much better job of coordinating the delivery and assembly times. If the product hasn't been delivered, why is Handy scheduling an assembly date? How is this not being flagged?
I will NEVER shop at Ashley or rely on Handy again after this experience. The product is probably going to be fine once it's assembled, that's not the complaint. It's all about communication (or lack thereof). If you shop on Ashley Furniture online in the future, please take everything in the purchase into careful consideration.

Sales, Dec 2019, and delivery, Jan 2020, was great. Problem with seat support developed over time, 2021-2022, to the point we needed to replace/repair. Plan indicated we could get a replacement/repair. Support told us a provision in a separate document ("Home Delivery & Customer Pickup) invalidated coverage (problem more that 30 days old). Nowhere in their protection plan is this 30-day window referenced or mentioned. So, if a problem arises and is not reported within 30 days the hundreds of dollars you paid for the plan is useless. Hope no one else falls into what I would consider a shady practice by Ashley Furniture.

I am beyond frustrated, I purchased a sectional. Got it 2 months later after being given wrong info on delivery dates a couple of times. When I received it, it made an awful sound when we sit on one side of the couch, after two repair techs tried to fix it they offered me to replace the part or choose a 30 day replacement offer to go to the store and replace it for another piece. Since the furniture pieces have considerably gone up in price and we needed a couple days to go to the store and get measurements and the feel for the new potential couch. I was told, "NO. You have to make a decision now or replace the piece." I can't possibly make that decision without seeing my options in store. I am as is so disappointed with this sectional we got.
We also have a video showing the two sectionals in store and the one we got and the quality does not compare. I feel like we were given a sunken old couch from someone else...I feel so devastated they are forcing me to make a decision without allowing me at least a couple days to run back to the store which is 45 minutes away from my house and look one last time. This is ridiculous considering we paid a lot of money and we are stuck with this company crappy furniture.

Back in February we bought all new living room and dining room as well as a few separate pieces for a bedroom. We were told as that we could expect the furniture to be delivered by first weekend in March. That was a lie. We received a phone call around the end of Feb that the sectional would not be available until May so all the furniture couldn’t be delivered until then. We weren’t happy with this, but they said only one delivery could be made and it had to have all the furniture included. So, we really had no choice but to agree.
In April we received a call asking if we would now like all furniture BUT sectional delivered. Of course we said yes. We were to expect a call back within 24/48 hours with delivery date. Didn’t happen. I had to call on 3 separate days (as each time I finally did speak with someone, I was promised a call back with a delivery date and it never happened). On the 3rd call (oh, and I need to mention that each call I made I was on hold for over an hour!! And on one call I was hung up on) I was finally (after threatening to cancel my entire order) transferred to the actual warehouse and was given a delivery date of Apt 14th.
The delivery actually happened and the sectional was with it. However, the “wedge” of the couch was damaged. The rest of the sectional and all other furniture was left and a notation was made for the wedge to be replaced. A week later I was called with a delivery date for the wedge. On the day of delivery I was called and told the delivery was canceled due to damage of the wedge. I was called about a week later and another delivery date was set. On that date I was again called and told delivery was canceled as their was damage to the wedge.
Today was to be the 4th attempt to get the wedge piece. What a shock that I just received a call and was told that again delivery has been canceled due to damage of the wedge!!! I was told I would get yet another call within 24/48 hours (this is not true. Takes about a week for another call) regarding this. At this point I’m ready to just send all the furniture back!!
It’s so difficult to get a hold of anyone and the person I spoke to today was basically a robot because all she could say was you’ll get a call within 24/48 hours over and over. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that they are are just the call center and there is nothing they can do, they just make the calls and I’ll receive a call within 24/48 hours regarding delivery. Not only do these people not care they are rude. After waiting yet another week I called and a got the message that I could expect delivery on June 1st. On June 1st, we finally received the wedge. Thank God I am done with having to deal with this company! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The new mattress arrived in a reasonable amount of time. However, upon delivery the deliver person refused to take the old mattress. The new headboard and footboard took 5 months to arrive. Once it arrived it arrived severely damaged on both sides of the sideboards. When we reported the damage we were told it would be a minimum of 3 months to replace. At the time of purchase we were told it would be twelve weeks or sooner to receive our items. After a few weeks we received our mattress and adjustable platform. At twenty four weeks we started to inquire about the rest of our order. We were told it would be mid August before we would receive the rest of the order which would be about thirty weeks if they keep their word on that but I doubt it.
I ended up writing a Google review and it was responded to buy a customer service representative who ask me to contact them directly so they could help. I did so and after forty eight hours I was given a really poor response that stated that they had some of the items, others were due in August and the rest I guess are somewhere in the ether. As it stands we have no idea when we will have a bed to sleep in or a dining table for our family to eat at.
Ashley has made it quite clear to us that they do not care and have no intention of making things right with us. We absolutely regret that we had chosen to do business with them. Also our leather living room furniture is nice but has loose thread ends and overall seems poorly manufactured. I personally won't be doing business with them again and if their name comes up in conversation I will be sure to pass on my experience and help that person make a informed decision when considering them for their purchase.

This is Ashley's 4th delivery. They can't seem to make it right.
Original review: Ordered sectional sofa 12/15/21. They delivered 3 times (part not in stock, mismatched color, broken back of left arm that they had not noticed while shipping). Last delivery was 05/21/22 when delivery people brought up left arm back section, he realized it is broken. Still mismatched, Ashley will not cancel my whole order and I have to wait for another month to receive the back part of sofa which is still going to be a mismatch color. I have dealt with other no name companies they delivered is 1-3 months. One had a problem which was fixed in 2 weeks.
Very disappointed about Ashley Furniture and very angry about this expensive troublesome purchase and can't get a hold of a manager that could at least cancel my order …which the store manager is saying you can't cancel because it has been in your home (not all pieces of furniture were delivered at the same time, otherwise I would have noticed the problems in April when 2/3 of parts where delivered). The quality of furniture is not even good!! Will not purchase anything anymore from this company: expensive, bad quality, bad customer service.

No call from anyone so I called several times throughout the day and finally got ahold of our salesperson Sarah. She went on to say it should be in stock in the next week or so and they will get it delivered. No calls no updates so I would call and leave messages for Sarah with no return call. Finally got a call and it’s in stock will be delivered May 10. They said they could make us the first or last stop of the day and call us 30 minutes before arriving that way someone could be there. Well nope.
Today they say they can only give a 2 hour window. We both work and can not just up and leave for several hours. If we were given the 3 day notice that the website say yeah one of us could have taken time off work. So now they are supposed to deliver at some point Saturday May 14. The reason we bought there was because it was in stock. You would think spending $5600 you would get a little better customer service. Fiasco. The Greenville, SC, Ashley delivered us a sectional that was the wrong color. We notified the salesperson who said he must have hit the wrong button. He said to contact customer service and they would take care of it. The person we talked to said it shouldn’t be a problem and that they would get back with us within 72 hours. After five days they got back with us and said our request had been denied because we had signed for it. We told him what the salesperson had told us about hitting the wrong button and that we even had taken a video of the correct color. It didn’t make any difference.
We called back to the store and the person we talked to said they could go above customer service and “make it right:”. We heard back from the store after two days via email and were told they were still working on it. We called back after two more days since we hadn’t heard anything from them and ended up back with customer service where, again, they denied our request for them to make it right. The representative said she would call the store manager to get with the salesperson. She was supposed to get back with us the next day. We did not hear back from her so the following day we called her again. She said the store manager was trying to get in touch with the salesperson but he was “being evasive”.
The day after that the store manager called and said that our request was denied because we had signed for the furniture and the salesperson said he thought that was the color we wanted. So, the salesperson told us that he must have hit the wrong button, but he told the store manager that was the color we wanted. If the manager would have taken time to look at the rest of our order (kitchen and cocktail tables), he would have seen that its color didn’t match what we were sent and that the color of the one in the video did. Of course, he didn’t want to see the video. Our request was once again denied so we canceled the rest of the order. During this whole fiasco, we were told at least three times that Ashley Furniture was going to correct their mistake, only to be told by someone else there that our request had been denied. They just didn’t want to admit that their “evasive” salesperson had messed up. They have lost a customer for life.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. On Sept 5, 2021 I purchased $5000+ of furniture from Ashley Homestore in Portland, Oregon. I was told at the time that I would have to wait a couple of weeks to receive a couch and love seat set from the manufacturers. After the date of delivery changed 4 times extending into the new year I decided to cancel the order altogether. At that time (sometime in December 2021) I was told that I was only going to receive a portion of the $1300 for the full amount due back on the loved seat and couch with no explanation as to why, even though this is a clear breach of the agreement that I signed at the time of purchase. The return agreement is for a full refund of the purchase price.
I was then told I would receive the $1300 split between a check and a debit back to my account, because this is how I paid for my original purchase in store. It is now May 2022 and I have since never received a check or debit to my account of any amount, nor have I received the furniture that I paid for. I would like for this company to be held accountable for stealing my money. I will only post one photo of a receipt to prove that I made a purchase because the others have my personal info on them.

This store is the worst in customer service. I was there on February to buy a dining set, all my other furniture I bought it at Rooms to Go but the salesperson in RTG mentioned that the dining table set wouldn’t be delivered for five weeks so I decided to cancel and go to the Ashley HomeStore at 4607 Millenia Plaza Way, Orlando, FL. The salesperson ** lied to me. I explained to her what happened at RTG and she said that won’t happened to me at Ashely because they manufacture in the US so the furniture is always available. I called on March and ** mentioned to me that the furniture will be deliver on March 29, so I requested the day off from work and the furniture never arrived, no phone call, no text message, nothing.
I decided to call the customer service line (because there is no phone direct to the store). The waiting time was ridiculous more than one hour, I kept trying until I get a customer service representative that told me that my furniture was not going to be delivered until Jun or July and that I was going to receive a call explaining that on April 29, I never received the call, so I droved to the store and ask to talk the store manager, I explained to ** (the store manager) my concern and that I was very upset because of the delay and the situation, her expression all the time was like “I don’t care” her effort was very minimal, she ask a salesperson to take me around and see if I like something else at in the store while she was laying at one the couch like she was at her house very unprofessional. Anyway, I canceled my order and not planning to go back to that store.

I purchased the under TV cabinet and set of dining room table and chairs in November 2021. I purchased it online and the delivery date was given to me for February 14, Valentine's Day. I received chairs, but not the table or cabinet. Before the date came I received another date for the delivery in beginning of March, then middle of March, then it came to April, that April 16, Saturday before Easter. Finally I found out that the table is in the warehouse and I went there and picked it up myself. Cabinet was supposed to come on April 9. This never happened. I received an email with new delivery date May 11. Then another email with another date, July. I am tired of this. This is unbelievable, how this company lies about delivery date. I will never purchase anything from them. They unreliable, constantly lying and when I call, they constantly prolong the delivery date. Never buy from them.

After we got our couch delivered, we realized the recliner on the end wouldn't recline. Still waiting for a solution after 2 months. Nobody ever made a ticket in the system to get it repaired even after talking to multiple people. Ottoman was scheduled 4 times for delivery before finally being located. One of the times we got an email saying "sorry we missed you" from the delivery truck as if we weren't home. Then we were told our ottoman was lost and had to be reordered. We had waited 9 months already. Was a circus. Not impressed. Stopped into Ashley in Madison today to talk with the sales person to see what was going on. Was told they would be in at noon. Stopped back in the afternoon and was told they wasn't back into the store till Friday. Ashley's customer service was absolutely horrible. Never going back there.

I bought from the Ashley store in November 2021. Both a set of reclining sofas and a dining table. Due to shortage the dining table was not going yo be delivered until February and we agreed. The couches were delivered like a week later and were the wrong color. We decided to keep them and exchange one of them from a sectional to a couch, but it was delivered the head control did not worked. I called customer service and placed a service order. They told they were going to call me and come out within 2 weeks. It has been MONTHS!!! and still nothing, every time I called I get the runaround and say someone will call, but no one ever does.
Our dining table was never delivered on February 2022. Not a call or notification. We called customer service and an automated message told me was going to be delivered ON APRIL???? No call or notification. April came around and nothing.. Due to the issues we went to the store located in 121 and Dallas tollway for them to tell us that because our seller was no longer working there pretty much our order was dropped… They promised they were going to have the service manager to call us, but she has never done so. They also told us that our table was available but not the chairs, so we de decided to get the table delivered right away before we lose SOMEHOW AGAIN ….ONLY TO BE DAMAGED. The installation crew took pictures of the side that was intact and left my house quickly without saying a word while I was in the kitchen… only for me to notice the table damaged.
I called customer service every week since then, talking to s different representative every time that promise me that someone is going to call me AND NO ONE EVER DOES!!! We still have no chairs !… I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND TO BUY ASHLEY! They do not care for their customer and delivered DAMAGED Products. Never again will I buy from them and I will like to return all their furniture and take my business somewhere else… DO NOT BUY ASHLEY.

I was contacted on 3/28 stating that only half of the sectional will be delivered at the remaining half would be delivered sometime around April 30th. I contacted the store to inform them that I wanted the entire order delivered on 4/30th, I was informed that if I didn't accept the 1st half it would be put back in stock and sold to someone else.
I called on April 7th and canceled the entire order when the April 30th delivery date was pushed out to some time in May, they couldn't give me a confirmed date for May, but that the entire order was canceled and I would receive a credit within 3-5 business days then it was 10 business days and today was told it would take up to 90 days give or take, I never received my order and they have put a hold on my credit and still want me to pay for product I didn't receive.

I ordered a sectional and ottoman on 4/11/22 that had an estimated delivery date of 4/14 to 4/16. Once the order (almost $3000) was placed, I received an email saying the estimated delivery would be at the end of May. I called immediately to cancel the items. I was told the sectional was cancelled but the ottoman was at a separate warehouse and was in processing, so the customer service rep wouldn’t be able to cancel just yet. They said to call in over the next few days to see if processing was done and then they could cancel before it was ready for shipping.
I called the next morning 4/12 and the next representative stated she would take personal care to keep checking so I wouldn’t have to. In less than 2 hours, I received an email that my order was modified and cancelled. Bullet dodged, right? Wrong! The next morning 4/13 at 8 in the morning I was charged $511 AGAIN FOR THE SAME OTTOMAN. I called in and asked what is going on to be told the item was already in loading when the cancellation was processed, and I would have to reject the item when it arrived! I lost it! Why should I have to do ALL these extra steps when the item is still in your possession?
The item which is 104 lbs is left at my door by FedEx on 4/17, though they were supposed to wait for me to come downstairs. I can not lift it to my 2nd floor walk up. I call Ashley to request a return label for pickup today, as It’s almost a week I’ve been attempting to cancel and they need to get this from me. I was told I will hear from someone in 24-48 hours to even hear from anyone and they would charge me for return shipping, even after seeing they made mistakes, and the shipping was free to begin with! Don’t spend money here at all! I will not be paying for return shipping by the way. They have no conscience and they will not have me stuck with this $511 footrest!

I ordered a couch online (order # **) on 2/25/2022. I received a phone call from someone at Customer Care at Ashley on 3/8/22 to let me know that my delivery was scheduled for 3/26/2022. She said I would get a call the night before on 3/25 to let me know a more specific delivery window for that date. I also received an email confirming this scheduled delivery, and also stating that I would get a reminder email a few days prior to delivery. The week of my supposed delivery, I never got a call or email. So, on 3/25 I realized I could check my order status online through the confirmation email I received. When I clicked the link it took me to City Furniture, the place fulfilling this order, and on that site my order was listed as canceled.
I immediately got on Ashley Furniture's online chat, where a customer service agent said that they just looked up my order and it was, in fact, not canceled, and that everything is fine and would be delivered 3/26 as promised. They also gave me the # to City Furniture and told me they were delivering. They REASSURED me that all was fine and that my couch would DEFINITELY be there 3/26 as planned. Unfortunately, they straight up lied and/or had no clue what they were talking about.
I had a feeling I should call City, so I did. They let me know that Ashley had called them around mid-March to let them know to put the order on hold due to "credit card issues." They instructed me to call back Ashley and then have Ashley call them back immediately right then because, per City, Ashley's communication is sometimes not good. (Yea, seriously!). Mind you, I hadn't received ANYTHING from Ashley indicating that there had been a problem with my order and I would have literally never known if I hadn't contacted MULTIPLE customer service people at these 2 places.
So, I called Ashley right after this conversation, was put on hold for a long time, and was supposed to get a call back because of the wait. When I finally got a call back, a customer service person confirmed that in fact the order was put on hold due to "a problem with my credit card" that they never specified. She kept saying the same thing without being specific and when I flat out said, "I have always had enough funds on the card," she acted surprised (as if "oh, then this shouldn't have happened"). My credit card, also my bank card, had no issues this whole time - I had been using it everywhere. No problems. Anywhere. Definitely more than enough funds on it this whole time.
The customer service person said I'd have to talk to the finance department, which was already closed for the night. She also couldn't tell me any kind of time frame for the couch delivery, should the finance department fix their error the next day. She had zero information. She said she'd call me back "first thing" tomorrow morning to straighten it out. She didn't. Big surprise.
I canceled my order via phone the next day. That was the only good customer service I received from Ashley - the person who canceled my order was courteous and prompt. Otherwise, their customer service was terrible. Their online customer service chat especially was completely useless. They seemed to have no clue what was going on. I talked to at least 3 customer service agents online and they were all completely useless. I ordered a much better couch, for a much better price, from Wayfair. It came a few DAYS later. I regret not ordering elsewhere in the first place rather than waiting an entire month only to be completely disappointed and angry. I will NEVER EVER order from Ashley ever again. Or City for that matter. What an absolute waste of my time. Learn from my mistake and don't waste your time with Ashley Furniture!

If I could give negative stars I would. After waiting 3 months and four delivery dates and MANY MANY MANY hours on hold we finally got our order. We called multiple times with different dates and different reasons for the delay. When we picked out our furniture it was 3 to 4 weeks. Then it was another month, then it was another month. Trying to call and find out an ETA was a joke, looking up our order was another joke. We were told our order was going to be delivered on Saturday April 8th. Just to confirm that everything was still going as planned we called to confirm, and wouldn’t you know they changed the date again. Not only did I take time off wok, we got rid of our old furniture, so yeah this was a major problem.
I finally called our sales guy from the store and he and his manager said we’ll get a partial order on Monday April 11th, they are still waiting on the bed frame to come in. Now this is the fun part. When the guys showed with the order wasn’t I surprised when they said they had our FULL order. That’s right sports fans, somehow they had everything in stock. Not expecting our bed we didn’t have the old one out. So now I have a bed frame in boxes in my garage. Yup, you heard me right, in my garage. They couldn’t set it up and they won’t send a team back to install it, so now I have to do it myself. This whole experience was one I don’t want to do ever again. To make it worse they don't make that color table no more. They're now trying to sell me a darker table which doesn't even match the chair. Also to pay extra money out of my pocket. Also they're saying that I'm going to lose the credit in a week and won't give me an extension. Knowing I live in Pennsylvania now it's a 3hr drive back to NYC. I'm a nurse and my schedule was hectic because of Covid. I purchased a wide seat recliner on June 20, 2021. It was delivered on July 30, 2021 with a gash in the arm. First of all, it was not covered in anything when it was placed on the truck or carried into my house. I have had lots of furniture delivered in the past. This is the first time I’ve worked with a company that did not cover the furniture before loading it onto the truck and uncover it only when it was in the house. I reported the gash that day and I have been trying to get it replaced ever since. It was first scheduled for redelivery on September 23. The driver came to my door and told me he wasn’t even taking it off of the truck because he realized it was also damaged. Again, also completely uncovered when loaded onto the truck. No protection!
On November 7, Ashley Homestore sent me a text to reschedule in November, but I could not take any more days off work for this, so I called and asked for delivery to be delayed until I was on winter break. So it was scheduled for December 22. On November 22 when I was at work, I received a text saying that the chair was being delivered at that moment. I called back and informed them that we had set it up for a month from that day. They said a mistake had been made on their part, but December 22 was no longer available for delivery and that I would receive a text message when they had it back in stock and I could choose a date for delivery at that time.
I didn’t hear from anyone again for a couple of months, so I called customer service and was told that they weren’t even sure if the chair was being made anymore and that they would check it out and if I called back in about a week they would have an answer. I called back in a couple of weeks and they said they did see notes about that conversation but no answers were noted. I then called the furniture store directly and was told that it was absolutely still being made and they didn’t know why customer service would say that. They had several coming in to the store that week, but my delivery had to go through the warehouse. It was then rescheduled for March 24.
I took the day off work again and received a message on the 23rd asking me to pick a date for delivery. I called and told them it had already been picked and that it was supposed to be delivered the next day. They looked at the records and said it had been canceled for some reason. They didn’t know why. It was then rescheduled for April 2. But on April 1, I received a message asking me to call. I called back and they said it had been canceled and they showed no notes explaining why. It was then rescheduled for April 9. And, you guessed it, I received a voicemail the day before deliver day saying it was not in stock and it would need to be rescheduled. I have completely given up hope that this chair will ever be replaced. At this point, I’d really rather just keep the chair I have at a discounted price and sew up the freaking gash! I know I will absolutely never do business with Ashley HomeStore again.

We purchased a lot of Bedroom Furniture and all the Extended Warranties. I’m going to keep this short and simple, since all parties are fully aware of the issues that have led us to seek advice of our State and Federal Government and filing Consumer/Antitrust Complaints against Ashley Homestore and Risk Assurance Partners.
October 2021 my furniture was falling apart, but the biggest problem was the Loveseat. The Arm on the Loveseat was Broken and almost falling off and the USB Port wasn’t working properly. Here is the scam. First Risk Assurance Partners says file with Ashley Homestore and Ashley Homestore says file with Risk Assurance Partners. I filed with Risk Assurance Partners, LLC dba Platinum Warranty. I’m going to make this short…
Douglas Wright sends Tech 1 out. Tech 1 says Arm on Loveseat is broken and needs to be replaced. I waited and then call Risk Assurance Partners, was told that “Tech fixed.” No he didn’t. Douglas Wright sends Tech 2 out. Tech 2 says Arm on Loveseat is Broken and needs to be replaced. I waited and then I call Risk Assurance Partners, again told that, Tech fixed. No he didn’t. Douglas Wright sends Tech 3 out. Tech 3 says Arm on Loveseat is Broken and needs to be replaced. I waited and then I call Risk Assurance Partners, again told that, Tech fixed. No he didn’t. Douglas Wright sends Tech 4 out. Tech 4 says Arm on Loveseat is Broken and needs to be replaced. I waited and then I call Risk Assurance Partners, again told that, Tech fixed. No he didn’t. Really, each time the Tech tells me that he will ask that it gets replaced but when I wait and call Risk Assurance Partners, they tell me that the Tech fixed it. I was like, no he didn’t!
I was able to get Douglas Wright to send out a 5th Tech. This time I Video Recorded the entire Tech visit. I video recorded the conversation and how the tech stated that this is definitely damaged and needs replacement, etc. When I call Risk Assurance Partners again. Guess what they tell me, The Tech said it was repaired. I was like really??? You are Lying and Scamming Me. They were using Fraudulent Business Practices to Victimize Me and Breach our Contract. Breach the warranties that I purchased when I bought the furniture. Risk Assurance Partners LLC asked for a copy of the Video Recording, so I provided it. All of a sudden, I was offered a Replacement. Only after, I Video Record to Catch them scamming Me. I’m a Senior Citizen, over 70 years old. This isn’t just a crime, it a Special Victims Crime Against the Elderly.
It’s sad that I had to use my legal right to video record Risk Assurance Partners LLC. I had to catch them scamming me. I will provide the Video to each of your Respective Agency, for your review. Now, Eugene Chrinian Factory Direct dba Ashley Homestore and Douglas Wright Risk Assurance Partners LLC dba Platinum Warranty, partner up and agreed to replace the Loveseat.
Now the next scam!!! Ashley Homestore Sold Me This Scam!!! They knew this Extended Warranty is a Scam. You can join the Attorney General Offices of Connecticut and Missouri who are now investigating Ashley Homestore/Ashley Furniture for Fraud of this exact issue with selling Warranties that are scams, which they never planned to honor. After these two scammers got caught, they offered up a replacement Loveseat. Now they are trying to scam me again!!! Now they refuse to deliver my Replacement! They are Badgering Me and Continue to try and Scam Me. They refuse to Deliver my Replacement unless I Pay Hundreds of Dollars. They are Abusing me and Scamming me. I already paid for the Extended Warranty that was to cover anything that happened. When Eugene Chrinian Factory Direct dba Ashley Homestore sold me the Warranty, they told me it will cover everything, if something happens to my furniture. There was nothing, in our Sales Contract, that states I have to pay anything extra. They also threaten that they will not pick up their damaged item.
If they refuse to pickup their damaged furniture or any furniture, I per the laws of the Federal Trade Commission has the legal right to ship it back to Ashley Homestore and they will need to reimburse that expense back to me. Ashley Homestore and Risk Assurance Partners, can verify that information with the FTC. Apparently, only the sales rep, Michael, can talk to me, and, of course, never called me back. Called again this morning and spoke with Valerie, and Michael is busy. Asked to speak with a manager, the manager was out but I could talk to the assistant manager, John. But he was busy. Told them I could wait. I was put on hold and then hanged up on.
Called back, spoke with Patience. Told Patience I did not care anymore and just want my money back. She told me only Michael could do that...and he was busy. Told Patience to tell Michael I wanted a refund on the missing item back on my credit card within 2 days or I would be bringing in the first table for a refund on that as well.

If I could give a -100 stars I would. The worse experience I have ever encountered. We purchased a round dining room table and chairs in Oct.8th 2021. The first delivery date of 11/5 was canceled without any notification. On 11/6 went to the Grapevine Store store "manager" was at lunch and not available. 2nd delivery date scheduled for 11/12/21. There were damages to chairs, table was unstable, delivery person took pictures of damages and sent them to 'someone". We were advised to keep furniture because it was fixable. We were then advised that we would get a phone call that same day or the next, we never did. We then called GRT (Guest Response Team) which is in Mexico.
Repair service came out 1 month later 12/20. Touched up chairs and stated that the table was not fixable. Table was unstable by design, too top heavy and not properly supported by center pedestal. Went back to Grapevine Store manager was again "busy". Surprise, surprise! Handed off to James **. I showed him the same table on his sales floor and he too agreed the table was not safe due to being top heavy. James had the person who does the set of of furniture take a look at the table and he also agreed there was no fix to it. Next step was to exchange the round table to a rectangle table. Exchange was "approved".
We selected another table but it was on backorder would be available in Feb. In Feb we were told backorder now until March. March 25th table was delivered, it never left the truck because the driver pointed out a major defect with the table as well as a large scratch going across one corner. Called the Grapevine Store. Spoke with Rosie. Gave her an update on what was going on, she could not help us until the end of the day when the delivery drivers were done for the day. Asked to speak with the store manager and guess what? HE WAS NOT AVAILABLE! We ended up showing up at the store.
NO customer should ever have to return to a store 5 times to try to get things settled. Rosie tried to help as much as she could, Spoke with Brock the "store manager". He said he could not do anything until the delivery drivers had finished for the day. Had to wait until the next day, next day called GRT again in Mexico. Waited on hold x 1 hr after asking to speak with manager. Spoke with Sofia, let her know that we just wanted EVERYTHING picked up. Mind you we still have the round table at our house because they had said to keep it from the beginning and were to do an exchange when the rectangle table was delivered. Sofia advised us that they have a NO RETURN POLICY! She then arrange for another delivery on 03/30.
Today 03/30 we took off work for the delivery, the delivery drivers show up start to unpack the table and guess what? IT IS MISSING ONE OF THE LEGS TO THE TABLE!!!! Delivery drivers call "whoever" repack the table tell us to call GRT and leave. We call GRT well they can't help us because the delivery drivers have to finish their days delivery's first! They have our hands tied behind our backs! We are at a loss of what to do. They will not let us return the furniture. This has been going on since Oct 2021, they have our money but we don't have our furniture! Now we have to set up another date for table to be delivered. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY!!! They do not care about their customers, managers that hide from customers, having to deal with GRT in Mexico. Corporate complaint put.

Do not under ANY circumstances deal with Ashley Furniture if the item is not in stock. I purchased a sideboard that was not in stock April 2021, they said it would be delivered within 4-6 weeks. Eight weeks later "I" had to contact them regarding the status of my shipment. They stated it will be delivered the next month and apologized for the delay. They said this every month. I had to contact them every month concerning delivery of my furniture. I took days off work based on the day they said it would be delivered. They wouldn't contact me to inform me prior to, to inform me the delivery is not coming.
I stopped taking time off b/c they are just kicking the can down the road. In 2 days it will be a year I've been waiting for delivery. On day three I will cancel my order and not do business with ANY order that is not in stock with them again. Just to be fair, if the item is in stock, they are pretty good. Do not take their word on delivery of none stocked items, they have no idea...

I purchased a $3500 sectional at Ashley by a salesman that appeared to be on drugs with B O that was TERRIBLE. That was my first warning to leave the store. After purchasing the sectional I contacted customer service for an ETA for delivery. I encountered more issues and it kept getting worse and worse and worse after simply calling about an ETA. I experienced bad customer service by various reps. I called and they would act like they didn’t hear me and hang up. It was horrible. I was told by one rep Ashley doesn’t care about their customers and will not do anything to correct any issues that I may have and they don’t want to hear people complaining.
I eventually received my sectional later that day and it was dirty. I arranged for a replacement that day but it could only be delivered on a day that was convenient for Ashley Because they only deliver in my area on Tuesdays. I was unavailable during Tuesdays do to my job so I escalated the situation. After talking to management I was told that it doesn’t get any higher than her and Tuesday was my only choice for delivery and I wasn’t entitled to a refund because the furniture had already Been delivered. After getting nowhere with customer service And spending hours on the phone I attempted to contact the store directly for help but their number only routes you back to the same crazy customer service department.
After getting nowhere on the phone I drove an hour away from my home to the store to speak with the manager. After explaining the situation to the manager he was nonchalant about my experience no apologies no coupon off on my next visit etc just an “Oh I can change the delivery day for the replacement.” Due to the fact that I was treated very poorly and inconvenienced to hell and back I no longer wanted the sectional or anything to do with Ashely. It was returned. I was warned by my friend who had a similar experience but I thought I was different. The second rep was right. ASHLEY could care less. They proved that to me. They could give away furniture. I wouldn’t want it. I will definitely keep sharing my experience and hopefully they will treat people better.

I am seeking your help to protect my consumer and legal rights. Dufresne Spencer Group (DSG) dba Ashley Homestore, 4851 Citylake Blvd East, Fort Worth, TX 76132, who feels they are above the law and they can do whatever they feel. My name is Rachel **. On January 26, 2021, I ordered a 3 piece Matching Leather Living Room Set, which included a Power Reclining Sofa, Loveseat and Recliner. In addition, my purchase included a 5 year GBS Extended Warranty and White Glove Delivery. October 7, 2021, I noticed all 3 pieces of furniture were discolored. I was told this was real “Genuine” Leather. What I noticed upon closer inspection is that they sold me Fake Leather as Real Leather. In fact, it turns out the fake leather was just painted by DSG/AHS (Ashley Furniture).
DSG dba AHS is a Franchise Owner Group (Mark Dufresne, Chad Spencer & Todd Wanek a Silent Partner). Todd Wanek is the owner/CEO of Ashley Furniture Industries. So the owner/CEO of Ashley Furniture Industries is a Direct Owner in this Franchise. I share this brief info, which reflects their deep understanding of the Quality and Deceptive Business Practices.
I filed an initial claim with GBS Warranty Services, but they declined my claim because they do not cover poor quality and only deal with Accidental Damage. Thus I turned around to file a Claim with Ashley Furniture Directly. October 11, 2021, I filed a claim under the one-year Manufacturer’s Warranty. Ashley Furniture had agreed to cover the damage. I asked for a Replacement, but Ashley Furniture said, “No.” Since Oct 2021, until Jan 2022, I made 23 phone calls to Ashley Furniture, but they refused to respond or call me back.
After asking for a Full Refund, they sent a Technician out to my home on Jan 10, 2022. He wanted to replace a portion of the furniture only with the wrong Color Leather Type Material, the Incorrect Texture and Type of Leather. I refused such repair, because my set would not be matching, and instead it would have looked like a “Car that was pieced together from a junkyard.” Furniture that doesn’t match, anymore.
Under the Federal Lemon Law, “Magnusom-Moss Warranty Act,” and Ashley Furniture unable to replace/repair the furniture, after their Manufacturer’s Defect, I am requesting a Full Refund. I would have never ordered furniture, if I knew in advance that Ashley Furniture cannot honor our Sales Agreement and their Manufacturer’s Warranty. They made me pay in advance, but I have to trust that they will honor their end of our Sales Agreement. They don’t want to honor their Warranty! This is also evident when you research the outrageous number of complaints filed against DSG. The BBB shows 1 Star of 5, Total of 4,106 Complaints in 3 years (4 per day) and 2,078 Complaints in the last 12 months (6 per day). Outrageous! This does not reflect other complaints like the FTC, FCC, Attorney General, District Attorney and other Consumer Protection Agencies and Social Media sites like Reddit, YELP, TrustPilot, etc.
I’ve done nothing wrong and in fact followed all laws and agreement, until DSG and Ashley Furniture Failed Me and Breached our Sales Agreement and their Manufacturer’s Warranty. They are violating my consumer/legal rights and violated State and Federal Antitrust Laws. I am seeking your help to protect my consumer and legal rights and stop a Bully who feels they are above the law and they can do whatever they feel. I need your help to get my money back and hold DSG dba Ashley HomeStore and Ashley Furniture accountable for their Fraudulent Behavior.

I’ve purchased furniture with Ashley both in-store and online. I have no complaints about my in-store experiences, which have generally been straightforward and basic. Online orders however there’s some things to be aware of: We placed an order for an entertainment unit online, and quickly realized there was a problem after check out. I reached out immediately via online chat, and was told the customer service rep would enter a cancellation request and I’d get confirmation in 24 hours. 24 hours later, nothing arrived, and worried they’d ship, I called the customer service line.
They informed me no cancellation request had been entered, it they would now. This time, they noted they couldn’t actually just cancel the order, but the request would be reviewed in 48 hours, and then I’d be called, and 24-48 hours after that it would be cancelled. The next day I got a call confirming I wanted to cancel and they spent 20 minutes trying to sell me on keeping it despite my clear statements to cancel it and that I wasn’t interested. Less than 4 hours later the item shipped. I called back and was told that the cancellation request was invalid now and I’d have to submit a return request instead, and I may be charged for return shipping.
I went online to find out the form they’re using for cancellations and returns is literally a Microsoft Office form that can’t be auto-processed. In 2022 this company is still requiring paper cancellations, and this is unconscionable. Other retailers could’ve handled this entirely automated or at worst on the first call. Needless to say they will not be getting my business again.

I ordered 2 accent chairs and an accent table in my local store on 1/7/22. They set up delivery for the chairs on 1/12/22. They did advise that the table was on order until April. I decided to go ahead and get the table even though it meant waiting 3 months. On January 12th they delivered the WRONG chairs. I called customer service and the hold times were really long - it said I was 875 in queue. I decided to go back to the store. They were able to see what happened and place the order for the correct chairs. They advised it would be February. I agreed. They said we could keep the incorrect chairs until the new ones came. I got a delivery alert for 2/8/22. Turns out this wasn’t a delivery at all. It was Ashley Furniture picking up my chairs leaving my room empty.
After calling Ashely Furniture I was told they new chairs would arrive in March. I later got a delivery date of March 23rd. I confirmed the delivery. I waited home all morning. I called Ashley furniture in the afternoon. They said the chairs would not be delivered until April 16th. I asked why I got the delivery alert for today. The representative said “I don’t know”. Well that’s not helpful. I waited home for nothing. They also informed me that my table is now showing it won’t be in the warehouse until July! So after spending $1000 in January I still have an empty room in March. Had I known it would take this long up front I would not have cleared out the room. I cleared out the room for that initial delivery back in January. Lesson learned. Do not buy from Ashley furniture in the future. They will mess up your order and leave you with NOTHING except an empty wallet. They charged me a delivery fee too even though there is no way to pick up the order. Only option is for them to deliver it.

In April 2020, I purchased furniture from the Ashley Furniture Store located at 9900 Fairfax Blvd. Fairfax, Virginia. The furniture was delivered in May 2020, and my brand new bed had defects within a few months of being delivered. This included the headboard, broken slats, the pull-out drawer as well as the mattress I purchased for $3,000.00. As soon as I noticed the defects, I took action and followed the protocol that Ashley Furniture has. There was a mattress inspection that took place and then a new mattress was ordered. The new mattress came and 30 days later the new mattress became defective just as the first one did. Once again, a mattress inspection took place.
At this point, I chose not to re-order the exact same mattress as I did not want to go through the same thing again. The mattress I ended up choosing to order in December 2020 was a lot cheaper. Unfortunately, this is where the series of the horror I have been dealing with began to get worse. I waited until 2022 for the mattress to get delivered and it never came. Since I have been sleeping now on a defective mattress since December 2020 and was exhausted of receiving the endless excuses I went back to the store and chose a new mattress that was "in stock" in their warehouse.
While I was in the store, a series of events unfolded. The manager of the Ashley Furniture warehouse located in Maryland (**) in 2020, put on my order Slats at zero cost, and because of his note not in the system that was and still is inaccurate, I am stuck with the cost as he failed to properly do his job. Most of the staff in furniture stores are all about making a sale and the more sales a store brings in the higher the commission. Once the sale is made, the customer and the service is out the window. I was unaware of any of this information until after the delivery. I was told that I was going to be getting a refund. ** now no longer works at Ashley Furniture, as well as everyone else who was there in 2020.
I again called the store and requested to speak to the new manager (**). She did not understand the situation, would not allow me to explain, claims she can not get ahold of corporate, the financial intuition I used to finance the mattress directly with Ashley Furniture will not speak directly to customers and she hung up on me. At this point I am tired, angry and frustrated as I have never been treated so poorly as a customer within a store. The lack of understanding, the lack of willingness to work with me and the lack of having any kind of compassion for a customer.

Today I called when my delivery did not arrive and was told none of my customer service interactions were recorded, they never could have delivered it today, and my partial refund was never processed. I had taken the day off for the delivery and moved out my old couch to prepare. Earliest estimate now is a month away. I canceled it. Ashley Furniture delivery is a problem. We were told the chair would be delivered on a specific date. I asked at point of sale if there was an in-stock issue or any foreseen delays as my mother is elderly and we need to coordinate someone to be with her during a delivery. I was told, no; it would be delivered on this date. I received e-mails to confirm the date. Then, 3 days prior - I received a call stating it would be late. They changed the date. I called to reschedule at a time when someone could be present and was told this happens all the time - the dates quoted are not necessarily accurate.
I rescheduled. After the reschedule - I received another e-mail stating the chair would arrive on the original date. There was a space to track it, which I tried to do to see if I could confirm it was actually coming - and a notice popped up saying they could not track in my area. Therefore, I put my mom on notice that she 'might receive a chair today' ... or maybe not. She stayed home all day to await delivery. No chair. I guess it's coming on the 2nd scheduled date? Not really sure as in addition to this communication issue - the chat is terrible. Chat just tries to guess what you're saying and if your issue doesn't fit - circles back to the original prompts. Frustrating lack of accurate communication and customer service...

We were moving into a new home and needed a bunch of furniture, we ended up at Ashley Furniture. After months of waiting we received our order and everything was fine. We had our furniture sitting in the unoccupied home for 6 months before we moved in. 4 months after we moved in the edges of our dining table started peeling back. It was odd because it had only been sat at 3 times and we had thought it was actually wood, not a veneer on the entire tabletop.
I called them about 10 months after we received the delivery and explained the issue to them. First I was told it's not covered repeatedly. Frustrated I waited, the peeling became more apparent so I called 2 weeks later. Then I was told to send a photo of the issue. I sent it along with an explanation that no one had even been in the home for the majority of ownership. I also explained to the woman how a veneer is applied, my father veneered antiques. She insisted that it was done by us and therefore not covered under the warranty, it was clearly a manufacturer defect. She also insisted it couldn't be fixed. I called a week later and was given the number for a repair company. We paid out of pocket to repair the corner, it was completed in 20 minutes. 2 weeks later the side that no one sits at is peeling back. I have never had such terrible and inconsistent "service" and I can honestly say I would pay more somewhere else knowing that issues will be resolved.

I have been made many promises and have received nothing but a comedy of errors and "little miscommunications." This is now beyond ridiculous.
I have spoken to the location manager and to his boss, have called into the logistics manager and the franchise owner (neither of whom have called me back). I have even sent an email to Ashley corporate offices with no reply. Only one person seems to even be trying to help, but everything he has told me has ended up to not be true... and still 5 months later I waiting for the final piece of my bedroom set. Unbelievable! After multiple calls to “customer service”, and three visits to the store itself, I’m being told that they will not pick up the old mattress. It’s been sitting in my yard for three weeks covered by a tarp, yet they are claiming that it’s heavily soiled, and can’t be picked up. They would have taken it if it was on the original ticket, but now it’s a health hazard to pick it up? They state that we have to go to the store to pay for pickup, as they can’t take payments over the phone, but even if we do that, they won’t take it. Are you kidding me? I called customer service who determined I was past the 1 year warranty, so they canceled the service without notifying me. I called the local store manager to complain about how it was handled. I was advised that the store manager was too busy to handle complaints. I asked for his email address. They refused saying it took too much time for the manager to handle so they don't give it out. Asked to speak to an assistant manager and was routed to a sales manager, who refused to talk to me because the National Customer Service department (who I was complaining about) handled those problems.
Ashley Furniture called me out of the blue 2 weeks later saying they were following up because the store manager referred it to them. I told them what had happened. The rep said she would speak to her supervisor who might authorize a free service call due to the poor way it had been handled. Promised me that she would call by the end of the day to advise one way or the other. Never called back. I waited 3 days and called them. Purchased a sectional set from Ashley furniture online early Jan 2022, received it 2 weeks later. Delivery was quick and within the given time window. The sectional set looked, felt great and fit perfectly in our living room so we were super satisfied when it was delivered and set up. Until 2 days later, two of the seats started to squeak every time you sat down, got up, or move around. We had only sat on these two seats maybe 2-3 times after it was set up. Contacted customer service first thing Monday morning and explained the issue, the agent said they will have to send out a technician out to verify the issue and if they can repair it.
Fast forwarded a week, the tech came and assessed the squeaky seats, spent an hour plus stuffing foams in areas trying to stop the squeak but was unsuccessful. The tech told me that he will report his findings to customer service, and I should get a follow up call from them and left. Got in contact with customer service and was informed that the “Technician” deemed the squeak not a manufacture defect and there is “Nothing We Can Do”. I was utterly surprised at what I heard, let me restate it again, a brand-new sectional set started to squeak days within taking delivery was deemed not a manufacture defect, and nothing they can do about it.
After some back and forward the agent suggested to sent out another technician for a second opinion, fast forward another week the second “technician” came and told me he will ask to have the seats replaced. There was no attempt to repair the seats, total time inside my house was a whopping 3 minutes!! Got in contact with customer service 2days later and was told the “tech” deemed it not a defect and there was “Nothing We Can Do”. Again, I’m just flabbergasted at what I’m hearing and the fact the “tech” told me one thing and reported another was very dishonest. After a little back and forth the agent was able to forward me to their escalations department where I spoke to the “Lead escalations agent” explained the whole situation again at the end I was told, you guessed it “Nothing We Can Do”. At this point I’m speechless, frustrated and extremely disappointed. AshleyFurniture "Nothing We Can Do".
