Began furniture buying Journey/Fiasco 7/1/20 through their online store. We wanted a particular sectional. We were using our Ashley Credit Card from Synchrony. I was given the sales rep online email to order from him when we were ready. Emailed rep on 7/18/20. 2 emails later on 7/2120 he stated the end of August 2020 early Sept. 2020 delivery. Quoted $1520 plus tax and 12 months interest free. Asked that he call me for info on 7/22/2020. Rep emailed me 7/23/20 that he would call me. Emailed him 7/24/2020 if he could get it ordered. He emailed back 7/25/2020 he will. I emailed him 7/25/2020 to call me. On 8/4 he emailed me back with an invoice. On 8/12/2020, I emailed him that I spoke with toll free and had a problem. I emailed again on 8/17/2020. Email him again 8/18/2020. Delivery now is not until the end of October. I email him again 9/7/2020 No response again. On 10/1/2020 I emailed him, "Call me now."
On 10/2/2020 he sends an invoice again with no updated changes, financing on Synchrony or the price. On 10/7/2020 he emails that he will take off $150. In November 3 pieces of the four show up. 4th piece was always next week, but it did arrive in December, but missing the feet. Had to call and explain that to Ashley Furniture. Later in December, feet show up.
We are paying on what I was originally told a 12 month no interest financing Beginning in 1/2021. I began calling Ashley Furniture toll free to get these things handled such as the financing terms. I had called multiple times, had multiple tickets created, multiple promises that someone will call Back and not a thing. We paid this furniture off, not to mention over-charged to begin with in 7 months. Now Synchrony has charge interest because Ashley Furniture never updated. Here it is 12/15/2021 over a year later and not one person has done the simple request to contact Synchrony bank and update the finance terms. Now Synchrony is just charging us interest and have stated all they need is an update from Ashley Furniture to fix this.

First of all, when they delivered our bed, they half way put it together and it was missing pieces. They delivered our table all dented and dinged up. One of Dining Chairs had huge chunk of wood knocked out of it. They delivered the wrong bench to our table. When getting ahold of these people be prepared to wait at least an hour on hold because you will be #100 and something in Line (I spent 3 hours in 1 day on hold, 1 of which they hung up on my as soon as they answered). We were told they ordered the "missing" parts for the bed, they would be in 7-10 days, called back in 2 weeks only to find out they had not been ordered, and were told they were placing the order now. (THIS HAPPEN 5 TIMES!!!!)
Even went into the store and was told by salesman he would take care of the parts and get the right bench ordered. On our 3rd trip to store, we finally got bench resolved. We received a phone call on a Sunday telling us we had a new dining table scheduled to deliver on Monday - we told them we were unaware and needed to reschedule, they said if we rescheduled it wouldn't be until April (4 months away) so we take off work, lose a day of pay only to receive NO DELIVERY!!! It is on B/O and being made at the manufacturer. Almost 2 months and still half a broken bed, dented up table and broken chair and no parts. We will NEVER EVER shop here again, it's not very good quality and the customer service is the absolute worse!!! PLEASE BEWARE - wish I would have read reviews before making our purchase.

Wanting to replace my entire living room with new furniture, I decided to go to Ashley's thinking it had well-made furniture. When being helped by the salesman, I told him that I needed a sofa, love seat, and oversized chair that would last and not break down. I was looking for leather. I was pointed to a product that I purchased and was told that it would last forever because it had springs in the cushions, and they wouldn't break down. This was important to me, as I have a back issue and to him this.
When they finally delivered my furniture, there was a large scrape on the back of my oversized chairs that they tried to cover up. I requested it either be exchanged or fixed. It took almost 9 months, and it wasn't until I called to find they sent the new fabric to the wrong address. When I finally received the leather to the chair and the tech came out to fix the chair, I asked him about my sofa and loveseat; the cushions were already breaking down less than 6 months after ordering (not received, ordered). The tech informed me that there are no springs in the cushions.
I called and spoke to the customer service manager, and they were to send someone out. The tech came out to look at my coffee table that was bubbling and to look at the cushions. After waiting several months of not hearing anything, I went into the store and spoke with the manager. Evidently, the store had been part of a franchise and they broke apart. They had no information on anything. They said they didn't take any of the paperwork with the separation. The manager told me he would call me back at the end of the week... He promised!! I laughed at that because I knew that he was just blowing smoke. It has now been almost 3 weeks and I am still waiting for that promised call.
I called corporate and they said they can't get into my information because the Salem store has it locked. They are referring me to the upper management and from there I don't know what will happen. Everyone keeps saying that it's been over 12 months, but what they don't see is that I didn't receive my furniture until months later and I have called several times to get the repairs. No one is taking responsibility for their poor products.

After 1 week calling to customer service I have to deal with this problem myself. No return, no re-selection options, no money. Nothing! Don’t recommend Ashley Home. Stay away from people who make money & don’t value their customers.

Ordered a bed frame and mattress from Ashley Furniture. Bed frame showed up in a box that was clearly opened before and re packaged. Inside were no hardware parts or installation instructions - completely missing. Called Ashley in hopes of getting the very specific bolts and screws necessary for proper setup - and was met with rude resistance from the local store and an answer of "nothing we can do." The response from Ashley was fill out a form, wait 4 to 6 weeks and you might get the hardware. Really? I will never shop at Ashley furniture again and will tell everyone who will listen to do the same. Unbelievably poor service.

My husband who has to sleep in his recliner due to a bad back amongst other issues bought a recliner less than 6 months ago from Ashley Furniture. Paid almost $1000. It lasted exactly one month. My husband is normal weight at 220 Lbs. Even having paid for a warranty, it took a bad Yelp review to get someone from the company to help us out. Long story short, a month later, they sent us parts to fix it. No less than 3 months later, the same part broke again. This time after another month went by, waiting it out after another Yelp review they told my husband to come in to pick out another recliner. We figured great someone at the company actually cares about customers. Nope!!!! After wasting his time picking one out, they told him it would cost another $200+ for this replacement for the POS they sold us the 1st time. They expected us to pay more money for more junk I guess? Good luck if you buy anything from this company.

Many items were delivered to the wrong address in spite of the fact that I made six calls to customer service who confirmed dates and delivery address. It was all wrong. The quality of the Gibson items was such poor quality that when I finally received it, I had to return it. I will never use Ashley again.

I purchased a sectional on March 17, 2019 and paid the 5 year premium protection plan. In July 2021 we noticed the middle section of the couch was sagging. I called the protection plan phone number and was told it's not covered. I was referred back to Ashley customer service. I spoke to a representative who was helpful and said that they'd send an email to the quality team to investigate about the possibility of the couch being recalled but after 4 months of waiting, I learned that the quality team will not be recalling the couch because it is not defective.. For a couch to be having issues 2 years after purchase is unbelievable. We have 4 family members in our family and I understand that wear and tear is normal but NOT after 2 years. A couch should last longer than that. I will NEVER purchase anything from Ashley Furniture store again. They have lost yet another customer....

They refused to return and also refused to fix. Did not even bothered to visit and inspect. I had only two options either to go to small claim court or otherwise throw out furniture. Table cost me $1250. I did number of phone calls and also visited store 3 time to report them that what they are doing is not legal but they told me to do what you can do. It was hell of frustration and was so disappointing that someone robbing you openly and you cannot do anything. We bought a new bed in May, 2021 at the San Antonio store. When the bed was delivered and set up, the footboard was damaged and the setup person failed to secure the slats to the sideboard. The setup person promised someone would call “within 3 days” to arrange a replacement of the footboard. That call never came and, two months later, I went to the San Antonio store to complain and was promised a new footboard and that someone would secure the slats. The new footboard came and it was also damaged. The delivery person also did not secure the slats as promised. I demanded a new footboard after they said someone would come repair the defective product. A new footboard was again delivered in November, 2021 and it, too was damaged but acceptable but the slats still weren’t secured as promised. Instead, they sent 10 screws and said someone would come later.
On December 1, a repair person came and said the parts would not work, took some pictures and left. I went to the local Ashley store (again) and I received a call today saying a repair person would come “at some point.” I asked to speak to a supervisor who was not helpful, was transferred to another “supervisor” who said I could take it or leave it but they would not replace the bed. When I asked five times to speak to her supervisor, I was told I could not speak to anyone else and was not told a reason why. Ashley Furniture is not in the business to do the right thing… Period.

The summary is simple, I purchased a mattress from Ashley Furniture online and it was the WORST experience of MY LIFE!!!! In detail, please don't ever purchase a mattress online at Ashley Furniture. They have treated me with such disrespect. I've been more than patient with them and I've only reserved atrocious customer service. I purchased an expensive mattress months ago and waited over a month to receive it. The mattress finally arrived and it was defective, both ends of the bed were caved in, it did not inflate properly. To give you a picture, the mattress looked like a mountain from the middle.
I called and was told I would get a replacement, but had to wait an additional month to receive the second mattress. I received the second replacement mattress and once again it was defective, the exact same problem. Both ends of the mattress were downwards as they did not inflate properly and the middle of the bed was a mountain. Can you imagine trying to sleep on something like this?? IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE. I gave it time, in hopes that it would inflate properly. That never happened.
I called again and at this point I wanted a refund. Can you imagine not being able to sleep on a bed for months after paying thousands of dollars for a mattress??? And to receive terrible customer service on top of that, it was heartbreaking. They said it was policy to not issue refunds on mattresses purchased online. I said to them, "How can you say this when this is your mistake, not once but twice." They were extremely rude and had no care for my suffering. I was emotionally exhausted and began to have back pain from not sleeping well. They did not care! I was forced to wait for a tech to come to my home and inspect the second defective mattress which took a couple of weeks. After the tech came, he agreed the mattress was defective and said I would get a call from Ashley's with further instructions. I never received a call. Instead they emailed.
I called and they said, "Oh we have to schedule another delivery and I would have to wait another month to receive the third mattress." I said to them please, is there any way I can get my money back. I need to purchase a bed now. I can't keep doing this. I'm in pain. I was told NO. Then a month later I get a call from Ashley's to confirm my third mattress delivery and they say to me... "Oh give me a minute I see a problem." Turned out, the mattress was suddenly discontinued!! I MEAN ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! I was forced to wait months to receive these mattresses and for a tech to come to my home for them to tell me its been discontinued. I lost it!! I cried and told them I could not do this anymore.
Then I was told I would get a refund within 5 business days. I was so relieved. I then asked, "When can you pick up this mattress?" She said, "We can't pick up a defective mattress. You have to get rid of it or donate it." Not only did they force me to wait in pain, now I was being forced to dispose of a mattress myself when it was their mistake. Truly unbelievable. At this point, I just wanted to be done with this so I agreed.
Now, it is almost two weeks after the supposed refund I never received. I called again and I was told there was a pick up scheduled and that my refund did not go through. I said to them, "What the hell is going on over there. How could you possible do this to someone." What if I had listened and donated the mattress as I was told to do? She transferred me to yet another supervisor who appeared to actually care. He said to me we will issue a refund 14 days after the mattress is received/invoiced which will take 3-4 days. He said he apologized for my experience with Ashley's and said he documented everything in my acct. and provided a case file.
I said to him, "I do not believe anything I hear from any of you." I have been continuously lied to by "supervisors and employees" who do not document properly and enforce these "policies" with blatant disregard for the customers safety, both physical and mental. Clearly they do not know what they are doing. They all need to be retrained. They have horrible customer service. I cant believe Ashely Furniture is ok with their customers being treated this way. Every single person I spoke to was the worst of the worst, except the last supervisor and employee.
I hate that employees don't do proper documentation and treat people this way. There has to be exceptions to these policy's when its their mistake. Also, Ashley Furniture needs to audit their incoming phone calls and get rid of the employees giving terrible customer service. I've had better service going to the 99cent store than Ashley Furniture. It's been such a horrible experience.

Terrible company! Do not buy from this horrible store! They will give false promises for a sale then come up with every excuse in the world as to why they can never deliver! Bait and switch with delivery dates just to make a sale! Purchased 6 separate furniture pieces from Ashley on 8/1. We were told all items would all be delivered no later than 8/24 but they hoped the delivery date would be as early as 8/10. 8/24 came and went. No call, email, or delivery. On 8/28 we went back to the store and were told, "Oh your delivery is now scheduled for 11/1." How do you add an extra 2 months without contacting the customer? Customer service acted like our issue was not important. The excuse given was "due to Ashley having a sale, the inventory is assessed after the sale ends and that causes delivery dates to change." She said there was nothing else to do but wait for it.
8/29 we return to cancel our order. We wait 20 minutes for customer service. One lady was working, while the same lady from the day before, drank her coffee. She addressed us and said she couldn't help us until the other person finished on that one computer. Hmm... we wait and another lady comes to help us. We told her about the delay on our furniture and we wanted to cancel our order (over $2000). She hurried to get the manager, and he promised delivery, 4 pieces will be delivered by 9/1 and the other 2 by 10/10.
9/1, the 4 items arrived. A customer should not have to cancel an order to get the item delivered. 9/9, receive a VM about scheduling our delivery for the last 2 pieces. Returned the call 5 minutes later and was told that was a mistake as our last 2 pieces will not be in until Nov 11/20. 11/19, email received with delivery time from 12:45-4:45 on 11/20. Several hours later, Ashley called to tell us although our delivery was scheduled, it was yet again a mistake and have now been rescheduled for 4/13. We are done waiting and have applied for a refund. We will never buy from this company again! Avoid them if you actually want furniture in your home. They will lie to make a sale. This was the worst customer service purchasing experience that I've ever gone through. My husband and I purchased a new sectional and ottoman for a new room. It was purchased on May 2nd 2021. We were told by the salesman that our couch and ottoman would be received within 10 weeks. First delivery date was middle of June then it was delayed for July delivery then August then September then it was supposed to be delivered in October then in October we were told it would be delivered on November 24th the day before Thanksgiving, that is tomorrow.
I called to find out when it was gonna be delivered only to be told it would be another 10 to 14 weeks. All I got from corporate customer service and local customer service was, "Just go to the store and pick out new items. You'll have to pay $250 to $500 to cancel current order before selecting new items," why would I do that, does that make sense to anybody? Then I was told that she was sorry but she couldn't EXPEDITE the order. I'm like, "How is it expediting when I've already been waiting seven months for the furniture and now you're telling me 14 more weeks." Why would I buy anything more from Ashley's? I will never purchase from Ashley's again.
I will tell all my friends and family not to purchase from them. They lie and mislead customers and that telling you that items they cannot deliver to you if you cancel the order you'll have to pay anywhere from $250 to $500 to cancel an order. That's already been over the delivery date by six times. We are now we are now delayed a seventh time and it could come in February of 2022 or it can come in in April in 2022 and since this was purchased on May 2nd 2021 nobody is doing anything to make it right other than telling me to cancel the order, pay $250 to $500 and select new items from their showroom. Bought couch and area rug last Sunday, 11/7/21. I naturally assumed my order is from warehouse and not the floor models. The 200.00 rug was delivered from showroom floor, used and frayed. When Logan notified me that the rug was delayed 11/11/21 I sent him a text to remove it from the order. (They only answer if you are buying.) When my kids picked it up the rug was in the order. Now, it is my responsibility to prove I asked to remove the item. Their store and rep, I'm sure, received some referral credit for my 4,800 purchase at Mathis Bros. So, that should lend me credibility with my request that Logan remove that rug from my ticket.
The rug is sold as is, no refund. Yet, at point of sale I was assured there were only 2-3 left in warehouse, not that dusty rug on the showroom floor which I would have NEVER AGREED to PAY That kind of money. Ashley has always been a distinguished furniture brand, the shady crew cheapens the name. The young business administration graduate supervisors must learn that policy and guidelines are tools to make decisions to protect the company and satisfy customer relations. Obviously, there's not much confidence in what they are selling or return policy would allow enough time to get the merchandise set up at home. I hope that $200 serves Jacob and Logan’s monthly goals well because it will be cold below before I shop there again or recommend a friend.

Purchased sofa with power recliners on 08/02/2021. Did not receive till 11/09/2021. Upon receiving 1 of the recliners was popping when reclining. Called cust service 11/13/21. Was told a tech would be out 11/18 & would call me 24-48hrs before for a more exact time. At 11:00 am 11/18 I called, was told parts ordered, I asked, "How can you order parts without looking at recliner," was told I would be on hold for a couple of mins while he checked notes & if we got disconnected he would call me back.
After being on hold for 30mins phone was disconnected & no call back so I called back, after being on hold for 15mins was told that their scheduling for techs don't work that way & the other 2 people don't know what they are doing. This new woman told me I would have to wait for parts to show up at my house then call them for tech. I have a feeling this is going to be another 3 months (if I'm lucky), to get repaired the way everyone keeps lying to me at Ashley. If I knew I would have to go through all this I would just have purchased somewhere else because I was told they have bad customer service and I did it anyway. Buyer beware because you will be on a long journey to get your furniture & hope nothing is wrong with it.

Purchased a clearance item from the floor. Sales person said I could take it with me, and confirmed with a manager. A second manager appeared saying that I could, asking if I could return to the store in few days to pick it up (said they were doing inventory). They took the item into a back room where it sat. When I returned the staff could not find it, ended up waiting 15-20 mins. The poor warehouse guy searched around and then 'happened' to find a manager who said, "Oh yeah, it's in my office". I don't know what internal processes Ashley has put in place, but from my perspective as a customer they simply stuck the item in a corner and did nothing specific with it. This seems like internal process run amok, at the expense of the customer's time and convenience. Suggest that they look at a stronger customer focus rather than strange and inconsistent internal processes which equally frustrate customers and in-store staff.

I am shocked to see the ethics of the sales person at this ASHLEY HOMESTORE Calgary SE (Heritage) store. After 2 in-person visits and more than 8 telephone calls later, I ordered a dining set since the salesperson confirmed it is in stock and will delivered within 2-4 weeks at the most. 4 weeks later, no news from them. When I called them, they said it is back ordered and will take 4 months. I requested to cancel my order and now they say there is a cancellation fee. Shocking that I was provided with incorrect information - how can a product be in stock and ready to be shipped when I order, and then it becomes back ordered due to supply chain issues. It is like being held hostage by the store when you are on a budget and can't afford the cancellation fee. I hope there is a consumer forum or court that protects the rights of consumers from such vendors.

Extremely disappointment with our brand new bed frame because of the loud metallic squeaking sounds it makes every time I sit on the bed, move even an inch on it, and get up from it. Basically the bed cannot be used without terrible metallic squeaking sounds from it. This is clearly a design flaw as the bed does not have wooden slats and instead just has 3 very thin metallic slats. I had also bought a matching dresser with the bed and now I am stuck with both. Equally disappointed in the customer service as they simply said "noise is not covered under warranty". I paid for the brand quality, I trusted in the Ashley brand name and I have totally been let down. And the brand doesn't even want to take any action on such a big design flaw.

We were told that the furniture would be delayed until July so now it is Nov and still no furniture and to make matters worse their representatives lie about status updates, delivery dates, etc. Every 3 weeks I call their customer service for delivery status and every time since July I get a different story. A story just to get me off the phone. Last evening 11/10/2021 I spoke with Jason in customer service who told us that the furniture would be delivered on Nov 23rd only to be told today when my husband went by the store and was told by the mgr that Jason entered notes stating "customer wanted to change the dates."
Well we never had a date nor did we want to change dates. The furniture is not being held up because of raw material storages or shipping-Ashley has a problem with truthfulness and transparency. Lastly, we have been loyal supporters of Ashleys over the years purchasing well over $30K worth of furniture. This is how they repay our loyalty.

In fact, the entire experience has been a complete nightmare. The salesperson I was assigned had horrible broken English so we couldn't understand her. Switched to using text/email and she types just like she talks = very broken sentences that don't make sense. I picked out all the furniture for a new build online so all they had to do was place the order. I have now waited 7 days to get someone to call me for my credit card.
I lost track of how many times I've called the store but the phone just rings and rings. If someone does answer, they say that the payment center will call me, but they haven't yet. First, the salesperson switched my order with someone else's and I was the one that caught it. Second, the salesperson told me the furniture was ordered but after I sent almost 20 requests for a receipt, I learned it was never ordered. I would never recommend this Daytona Ashley Store to anyone else. Ever.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE AT ASHLEY*** I have never written a review, whether it was a great experience or poor one, but I had to express how awful and stressful this experience was to save any future customer the dismay that is involved when purchasing from Ashley Homestore. I bought $9,000 worth of furniture including a mattress, couch, ottoman, kitchen table with chairs & bench, dresser, and bed frame back in August 2021. My apartment wasn't going to be available until October, but it was recommended by the salesman to order ASAP as the furniture could sell out beforehand and if I had a place to store it, that would be best. I decided to store it in my boyfriend's parents' garage in the meantime.
The first delivery came, including the couch, kitchen table and chairs, dresser, bed frame and mattress and everything... I mean everything, besides the mattress.. every single item was damaged. All of the boxes were ripped open and wet when delivered. We tried to send it back, but the delivery drivers said to call a number they gave us to schedule an exchange. Well, that was a mistake. I fought with Ashley customer service because they said it was my fault for accepting the damaged items, even though the delivery drivers told me to do that... (at this point the bed frame has not been put together.)
I FINALLY was able to get an exchange.. and at this point I moved into my apartment.. Then there was an issue because I had a different address. After arguing with customer service, they agreed to come to my new address. They exchanged the couch and dresser, but all of the new chairs and bench were damaged, so I did not exchange them.. I am still currently waiting on undamaged chairs.
So, I finally go to put my bed frame together, since it has been sitting in a box in the garage for a few months and realize that not only is the footboard broken, but so are the legs that hold up wooden slats for the mattress. I call Ashley again to exchange this item, but they said they are unable to exchange because I had accepted it, even though the bed frame was not put together until I moved into my apartment, they still would not exchange it. I am still waiting on someone to come out to service this item. I was told by customer service that because I moved all of my furniture from my boyfriend's parents' garage, to my new apartment, that the warranty that I had bought is now void... even though the salesman said I should purchase it and store it somewhere.
This experience was the worst thing I have ever gone through when purchasing something. I wish I had spent a little extra and bought from Raymour and Flanigan or Bobs furniture or even Amazon. Any other place, but Ashley. I cannot express how awful this experience was and if this review saves just one person from the headache, then I have done my part.

From that she knew that the chair was sold to me 5 years, 3 months ago. The warranty on the tilt/swivel mechanism was only 5 years.
Somewhat dismayed, I asked her how much the replacement parts would cost. She said she'd need to initiate an order to find out and took my name and address. She then asked me if I'd like the order number. I replied, "Yes, but what was the cost?" She replied zero! She/Ashley was sending them to me for free even though they were out of warranty. The parts showed up four days later. I installed them, and the chair is now as good as new. This is outstanding customer service and product support! Thanks, Ashley!

I made the woeful mistake of purchasing a table and chair set and a sofa from Ashley Furniture. Never again. First, the quality of the product received was beyond inexcusable for how expensive it was. Not only is the furniture made out of cheap materials from China but you have to put it together yourself. This would be fine if not for the terrible experience that followed.
Immediately after putting together the chairs regardless of how we screwed in the legs they would wobble uncontrollably. I was worried they would break when guests used them and was constantly screwing them in to prevent such a thing from occurring, until it did. Less than a month after receiving the product one of the chairs snapped underneath my guest. I put the chair in the guest room and was willing to waive it as being me incorrectly assembling the furniture knowing that if I wanted a refund I was told at the store the purchase came with a year-long warranty. I was clearly lied to.
After months of screwing chairs in I decided I finally had enough and went in-person to the store so I could request either a store credit or refund for the cheaply made product. As it was still less than 6 months old I thought that would be permissible. They told me that in order to process a refund a technician had to come and told me they would be calling within a week. Not only did they not call, but they also did not send a technician or follow-up. I went back to the store and was told they could not do anything on their end as it was up to corporate. They gave me a phone number which I called for an entire week and was put on hold from 9AM-5PM. One day I finally got through and they hung up on me immediately. That was the moment I decided they would never be getting my business again.
Instead of trying phone calls, I opted to chat online where the customer support agent told me I did not qualify for a refund because there is a 30-day limit. How I was supposed to get that refund when it took more than 3 months for them to respond to me I have no idea. They told me that a technician was never scheduled to begin with and scheduled one out. They said the technician had to check the furniture in order for me to qualify for a refund. However, a week later when the technician arrived I was told that if he worked on the furniture at all I would not qualify for a refund so I would have to deny service. The extent of service he offered to provide was SCREWING IN THE CHAIR LEGS. With that information, I told him I did not want him to work on the furniture. The follow-up email I received a week later told me that I did not qualify for an exchange because I refused service.
I went back to the store and was told yet again that someone would reach out to me. This time someone from the corporate office finally did. They agreed that the situation was confusing and inappropriate then told me they would work on getting my furniture picked up and providing a full refund or store credit. The following day I was sent an email saying my refund request was denied and I was called by an employee who told me yet again that I did not qualify for a refund. Like clockwork, they offered to send a technician out. Buying from this company feels like a personal hell, the world's worst groundhog day that I'm doomed to repeat for eternity. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! When I was looking for a couch I ignored the complaints about Ashley because the prices were so cheap. Trust me on this, if I could go back I would spend the extra money on a QUALITY couch from a company that actually cares. Here is only part of my story...
My couch was scheduled to be delivered from 6-8 pm on October 16th. Instead, and without any heads up, the delivery company attempted to deliver my couch 3 hours early when I was not home. When I missed the delivery, I had to wait until Monday (October 18th) to call to schedule a new delivery time. I was told the couch would be delivered October 26th. The day before my new scheduled delivery, I received an email requesting that I confirm the new delivery time. When I clicked "confirm" I received an error message. I then tried to click confirm on a different device thinking I was having internet issues, but no. Same error message.
I then tried to call the number in the email to make sure my delivery window was confirmed. I sat on hold for 30 minutes only to be disconnected. I tried again and waited another 30 minutes only to be hung up on. I called back AGAIN only for someone to tell me that my couch was now scheduled to be delivered on DECEMBER 3RD. I was furious, but mainly confused since I knew my couch was at Ashley's warehouse and I was JUST told it would be delivered the next day.
I then drove to Ashley furniture to speak with someone at the office since I was getting nowhere with the customer service department. The salesman (Chris **) reviewed the delivery notes and was also confused why my delivery date was moved. He then told me that the outside company they use for their customer service department gets paid by the amount of calls they answer, which explains why I was hung up on several times. He then said he would put in an emergency rush ticket and I should get my couch by the end of last week and the delivery company would reach out.
I called 2 days later after never hearing anything only to be told to call back the next day. I tried calling the customer service number when I couldn't get ahold of Chris only to be told my couch was now scheduled to be delivered DECEMBER 11TH. I've tried reaching out to Chris several times with no response. I completely understand covid delays, but this is not a covid delay, nor has anyone at Ashley indicated that this is a covid delay. This is an Ashley delay and from reading other reviews, this is not a rare occurrence. Please save yourself the frustration and buy your furniture elsewhere. Side note - The part of my couch that was delivered in July of this year is already squeaking/creaking when someone sits on it, which shows how poor the quality is.

We are extremely dissatisfied with our overall experience purchasing furniture at Ashley Furniture. I own and operate a psychology practice in York, PA. We ordered a suite of office furniture, making selections in the local Ashley Furniture store on Arsenal Rd. in York. We were told the furniture would arrive within 6 weeks of the date of purchase. We placed the order on 8/11/2021 and it never arrived.
We had extremely poor customer service from the representative who took the call we placed to the store to inquire as to the ETA on the furniture. The call was then transferred to the store manager, Tammy who advised that a) the chairs we ordered had been discontinued; b) the desk and bookcase may not arrive until sometime in 2022 (she could not provide a more specific ETA) and c) they would charge a $700 fee to issue a refund. The desk actually arrived this weekend but was severely and irreparably damaged (the corner of the desk looked as though it had been smashed).
I called to apprise the manager (Tammy) of the damaged desk. I requested a full refund for the furniture. Tammy stated that a refund would not be possible citing a policy that there is a 72-hour window for returns upon delivery. Not only was Tammy incredibly rude and unapologetic, the sales terms and rules refund policy does not specify any policy regarding a 72-hour window for refund requests. She stated that she would not be able to help me and I should "go ahead and call corporate." When I advised that we would be filing with small claims court she stated that she would not speak to me any longer and hung up on me.
We paid in full for our furniture at the time of purchase in the amount of $2428.45. We received a partial refund totaling $610.96 for the discontinued chairs but the remaining $1817.49 has not been refunded. I placed a call to the corporate office and waited on hold for 2 hours before the call was suddenly disconnected. It seems that we will have to take legal action in order to recoup our money. My experience with Ashley once I left the store has been nothing short of a nightmare. I wish I could go back in time and chose a different store to buy from. We financed 8k worth of furniture from Ashley. We had a sectional, chair, coffee table, end table along with a dinning room table, chairs & bench. We were told the sofa console and dining room chairs wouldn't get here until mid November. Okay no big deal for us. Wasn't too big of a deal when the available pieces took longer than we we're told. The problem started when the other furniture was delivered.
The sectional that came had the wrong side chase. The dining room table, coffee table and end table were all damaged so now we won't get a replacement until mid November as well. When I called Ashley to ask how this will affect our billing cycle seeing that we were missing a lot of our pieces. I was told I shouldn't get a bill until I receive all the pieces but if I did to contact Ashley so they can adjust it. Shortly after that conversation I received a bill in the mail with a November 3rd due date. Naturally I followed the instructions I was given & contacted Ashley. For over of week it's been a game of (NOT IT). No one but the people at option 3 can help me. Unfortunately for me option 3 doesn't believe in answering their phone. The phone rings once and then goes silent, after a period of holding it hangs up. Then the cycle repeats when you call back.
Finally on 10/27 I get through to someone from option 3 and she tells me that Ashley can start collecting even if you don't have all your furniture. I tell her this is not what I was told when I purchased our furniture or when I called to report the damages. She then tells me I need to call the very same number I used to reach her and select option 3. I tell her, "That is exactly what I did and it has taken me to you." I told her I felt I was being given the run around by Ashley b/c everyone is saying they can't help but they aren't providing me with any numbers that can.
They keep giving me the same number and telling me to select option 3 but now option 3 is saying they can't help. She suggested that I physically go to the store to handle this issue. At this point I'm left with no other options. The customer service at Ashley is the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I want very much to give back the pieces I do have and be done with them. I'd rather have no furniture and sit on the floor than have to deal with this level of unprofessionalism. Do yourself a favor and avoid this frustration.

Keep in mind Insurance has been purchased for everything for our just over 12,000 purchase... Nothing we received was how it was in the store. My wife and I purchased a sofa for the living room and the cushions went flat within a year. We had a technician come out after a month of calling to have them send out new rock hard cushions. And now these are going flat after 2 months. Our living room table - the hardware on the two bottom doors literally fell apart one day when I pulled them open. ( They sent a tech out and he sent us new hardware for only 1 door. I replaced it and it still won't close right. Now they don't want to honor a replacement for either purchase...)
Less than 4 months old, our bedroom set we purchased. On the first delivery one dresser came damaged and the installer tried to super glue some leg bolts in right before I double-checked on them, (how stupid) I refused it and they returned it and sent out another one and this one already has the handles falling off due to stripped screws when they put it together. We had a technician come out out after a month of asking and 2 months later it is still NOT fixed.
Our Tempurpedic split king feels NOTHING like it did when we laid on the one they have in the showroom floor. We have talked to several people at Ashley and Tempurpedic and nobody will help. Both were supposed to be medium and both feel no better than sleeping on the floor. When I asked the manager at Ashley prior to purchase he said we have a 90 day sleep trial and that if we were not happy we could exchange it plus a small return exchange fee. I was fine with that. They did not honor anything at all. Keep in mind again that we purchased just over 12,000 worth of home furnishings.
I have been to the doctors twice because of upper body aching not even thinking it was my 6,000 Tempurpedic bed that was supposed to cure all body aches. Turns out it was, and neither Ashley or Tempurpedic want to help out in anyway. They have a sign in the store that says it's their goal to me the customer/guest happy but in reality all they want is your money for crappy product. Ashley furniture will NEVER get our business and if we can help it, none of our family or friends business ever again. Buyer beware... All sales are final...

Hands down this is the worst furniture store ever....Where is Levitz (the best furniture company I ever shopped with)? Ashley Furniture is all about making money not about satisfaction of customers. They will tell you what you want to hear and show you what you want. However they don't have it in stock...something they neglect to tell you until you have paid them. I ordered a bed back in the beginning of September and after payment I was told they don't have all the pieces in stock and it will delay my delivery. Seriously...What the hell type of rubbish is that?
After 2 weeks of hearing nothing from them, I called and called and no one answered the phone. On hold for 30 plus minutes and still no live representative. I had to drive all the way out to the store and ask them what is the problem and when will I get my stuff? Or do I need a refund? Upon hearing refund, it is funny how my order would be shipped out within a week. I received it last week. Stupid me tried them out again during their 50% + additional 5% (55%off) total sale and picked out a couch set last weekend. It was due to be delivered today (7 days later)....
However upon delivery time the driver informed me that he only had one piece to the couch set and that customer service should have called and informed me of the partial delivery. They never called me and I agreed to taking the partial delivery until they opened the box and the wrong color couch was inside. The driver immediately called the warehouse and I could hear them clear as day on speaker phone telling the driver that what they delivered is what I ordered and I told the driver she is lying cause I have pictures of what I had ordered and paid for. I showed the driver the pictures and he shook his head and apologized. The driver told me that someone from customer care would call me shortly....and that was 3 hours ago and I am still waiting for that call.
Within 20 minutes of him stating that and pulling off with the wrong order, I called customer service myself and encountered a rude representative who had the audacity to ask me "Well what do you want me to do about this situation?" I informed him that he has done absolutely nothing to help me and I will get in my car and take the 20 minute freeway drive to the store. I put gas in my car and hopped on the freeway and headed straight for the Fairfield store. The manager at the store immediately took the side of the warehouse until she got on the phone and someone set her straight that what was sent out was not the correct color and that the customer is correct about the situation in regards to color and that if they got the order right in the first place all pieces would have been delivered today.
The manager then stated that I have to wait for the drivers to finish their other deliveries and get back to the warehouse and process the return and then my order can be processed for delivery....(when will that be?) That is a whole crock of hooey!!!! I didn't accept the order and the warehouse was aware of the situation and that the furniture was put back on the truck for return. So I will be waiting for who knows how long. I will never ever buy anything else from Ashley Furniture, they are selling stuff that they do not have in stock, can't deliver on time nor deliver the correct order. They do not answer your phone calls either, you have to actually physically walk in to the store where you made your purchase to have someone actually do something. Hands down this store is for the birds....and I am talking the birds from H..E..double hockey sticks!!!
I will never in my life purchase anything from Ashley Furniture in Fairfield, California. I gave them 2 chances and they screwed up both times. This is unacceptable and I urge others to think wisely and check options before shopping with Ashley....They also just lost a four thousand dollar order from someone I referred due to this fiasco. They were present with me during the purchase and delivery and upon me leaving the store with no compensation or definitive time of delivery they called in and cancelled and asked for a refund. Be very careful shopping with these scamming sharks. If I could leave a double negative star I would. I hate that I have to give them a star in order to leave review and inform others to be cautious and aware when shopping with these scamming sharks that are full of the filthiest of filthy rubbish.

Once you accept furniture you are stuck with it. It's a scam contract as delivery people and store contradict and customer is put in uncomfortable positions. It all started at point of sale on 9/5/21 at the Melbourne store in Florida. The sales rep Sarah ** stated my table would be delivered by 9/27/21. I was happy because it was a week after my move. I called CS to confirm delivery. I was told it was on back order until 10/8/21. I called on 10/6 to confirm I was told by 10/18.
Today I called. I'm being told by 11/6/21. I asked for a manager and I got instead Steffon in escalations. First of all he kept putting me on mute. To me this is just rude. I worked at a call center and I had to ask before I did this. I was stern and requested a manager because I knew he could not help. He stated, "No managers take calls." WOW, I explained I have spent thousands of dollars there and this was horrible that it felt CS said what they felt like to get you off the phone. As he talked then I would start after he pause. He continued to say, "You are not letting me talk." I stated, "Yes I am not to say that," then he finally hung up on me.
I called back. The next CSR was nice. She tried to connect me to the store which is an hour and a half away from where I am. She had no luck. Our call dropped and no one never called me back. I don't understand why Ashley allows this kind of behavior. I have a new house with no dining room table. I can never get the store on the phone. You should treat better your customers.

Had a defective chest of drawers delivered on Friday, I immediately went to the store to let them know the drawers are defective and don't open. The service rep in the store just gave me a 1-800 # and told me they don't handle returns. Called the 1-800 # and it was closed, called the next morning (Saturday) and they gave me to go online and chat with a live agent, tried to do that and had to submit information and message sent was 'please wait for 48 hrs.' That didn't seem right to me so I called back and they said they can book someone to come in but I had to wait a week and the only option was they have to inspect it, try to repair and only then would they replace it.
I spent $1200 on a chest of drawers, because I thought it was good quality! So I asked for a refund and they tried to tell me to do a inspection first. So I hung up and called again and then I was told for a refund you have to request it within the first 48 hrs, and the only options I had were 1) 10% re-stocking fee with store credit to be used in 30 days or 2) 25% restocking fee and refund of the remainder. I don't understand how they can charge for a DEFECTIVE product. I spoke with the regional manager and his response was 'you can log this with Better Business Bureau, if you don't like it but by then you're 48 hr window will be over. I've had calls before and they can't do anything.'
I was essentially bullied into making a decision and I choose to cut my ties with Ashley and take the 25% hit. I called again as a follow-up on Monday to see when they would be picking it up and they told me I was scheduled for an inspection and not a return! They do not send any emails for confirmation of what was decided, they keep trying to push you out of the 48 hrs window so you don't have any choice but to keep a defective product. Super disappointing and I wanted to share that all consumers are aware of their return policies prior to purchasing. The quality was substandard to say the least, the service is deplorable and this is how Ashley treats their customers, it's sad and disappointing to say the least.

We are now 1 month in on Sep 28 when we receive an email telling us, "We will be exchanging your dresser on Jan 2, 2022." We understand they are back ordered so that’s not an issue. Our issue is the broken dresser (which is not our fault) will not be picked up until the other one arrives on Jan 2, 2022. So for FOUR months that dresser (which is still here) has to sit in my house and take up room because they can’t pick it up! The dresser they broke.

The store manager was not at all polite. He insisted that there is a 10% stocking fee if we cancel the order. The color of the item is different than what we see in the store. Firstly, They have the best customer service when you are looking around for something. They will be with you at all times in the store and tell you all the prices and specifications and recommendations. Once you fall into their trap then your life turn to hell from there. I got yelled by the manager for asking my stuff to be delivered and hung up on me. She called back and said (she was stressed out because of the pandemic). Anyways I got the shipment and it was a wrong color. Turned out I had to wait all over again. They made me buy warranty on all the items I got and promised it will be taken care of it with anything wrong with it. Now it's been about 8 months and the whole couch is falling apart because it is made with cheap fabric.
I called them and they made me send pictures of the tears and all. When I did so they never called me back. I had to call them back and now they are saying, "We don't cover tears of that kind" (it's Cleary from where the stitches are). They refused to do anything for me now and blamed it on me for not reading the manual of the warranty when I was getting it. There I lost my money on the couch and the warranty. On top of that they are totally different and rude on the phone than when you are on the store shopping. An advice for hardworking and hard money earners PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SWEET TALKS JUST SO THEY CAN TRAP YOU INTO SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND FULL OF STRESS! Spend your money wisely!!!

All consumers BEWARE shopping at Ashley Home Stores. You will be Frustrated/disappointed/annoyed and the experience will leave you questioning yourself asking why didn’t I just go someplace else to buy my furniture? On 8/29/21 purchased a bedroom set from Ashley’s home furniture store. The saleswoman recommended doorstep delivery. I was not even aware that this was an option. I received the 3 items on 10/1/21, in boxes in my Garage. The delivery drivers was in such a rush to drop off and leave.
My husband opened the dresser box half way and there was a large crack in the top trim of the dresser and a long deep scratch on the top of the dresser and a drawer that they tried to repair. We then left the box halfway open and went to open the chest boxes and lo and behold there was a dent on the side of one of the chest and the top of the chest had shifted and was not even with the other end so it does not line up flushed on the front of the chest.
We contact customer service as soon as the delivery men left. We was told to send pictures which we did and someone will call and let us know the next step. 3 days went by and we never received any calls and decided to go back to the store. A lady at the store looked up our information and she said we had an appointment scheduled for 10/7/21 for a technician to come out and repair the (NEW damage furniture), they dropped off that is still in the box in our garage. The tech came out and submitted his reports of the damage and even pointed out more damages on these same items that are supposed to be new. I explained to him we didn’t purchase repaired furniture. We purchased brand new furniture and paid full price.
The tech told us to call the warranty company, we did, then they told us to call customer service we did and it was very frustrating explaining the whole story just to hear the representative tell you in short I will create a case number and someone will call you within 72 hours or longer because we are very busy. We then ask to speak to a supervisor or manager, she then told us they are all busy and no one else could talk to us. We continued to go back and forth with her of how frustrated we are with the whole process and she finally then told us to hold on and came back and said I’m transferring you to someone else.
The person that came on the line was very, very, rude and unprofessional and dismissive. She was basically telling us that is the policy, and her title is highest person in the office. She stated that her name was Darrien, and I’m the only one in this office with that name. So if you don’t want to have another technician to come out to try and repair that same (New damage Furniture) that we delivered to you, there is nothing else we can do to help you and you will just have the keep the items just like that, and you can’t return them. I was appalled to hear how ridiculous this sounds to me, and I let her know that. We are still trying to get this matter resolved and just wanted to give consumers a heads up that are looking to spend their hard earned money on furniture please, please think twice before considering purchasing anything from Ashley Home Furniture Store, Don’t Do It or else you will regret it like us.

This never arrived and we Spoke to Ashley's on 13-Jul-21 who told us Delivery guys did not create a case for the missing pieces and it will take 7-10 business days for the glass shelve holder to arrive.
Within 2 weeks only 1 clip/piece arrived (2 are needed). So we had to chase again. 31st August we spoke to Ashley's again (we had a reference) and were told they would come and collect the unit and replace as the original installers had filled in the holes where the glass shelf should go and we would damage the unit if we tried to fix ourselves. Another another month delay we called on 27-September and were told this time Replacement parts are going to be delivered and the unit will not be exchanged.
5th October technician came out and still can't fix the shelf. Very, very disappointed. Do not buy from Ashley Furniture. I totally understand Covid and how it delayed everything. But the way Ashley’s handled it was a disgrace. We bought a frame and headboard in September 2020, and paid a good price for it. We did not receive it until January 2021. Just 4 months later the whole frame cracked in half and injured my leg pretty bad. Ashley’s then said they can only replace the frame. I explained we did not want the frame replaced because it is so baldly constructed that the same thing was just going to happen again. Well as per their policy, it would have had to have collapsed within 48 hours after receiving the item for anything else to be done. So being out of luck and no other choice, in May they told us it would be in within 3 weeks.
We have received 5 calls now saying the frame has been delayed yet again and email after email saying there is another delay. It is now October 5, 2021. Almost 6 months later, only to get the good ole phone call again saying yet again it has been delayed. I was speaking to a floor salesperson and told him this was completely unacceptable and can may I please speak to a supervisor. Only to be told that could not be done. He would relay the message. After a lengthy amount of time and at least 20 minutes he finally agreed to have a supervisor call me back.
When Jason phoned it was only the exact same thing all over again, and 20 more minutes of nonsense. "I understand your frustration" and he could do nothing further than email the parts department again. I was understandably upset, yet all Jason did was speak over me. I ask to speak to someone further up which he replied that he would not do that. His exact words were, “there are people above me, I’m just not telling you who.” What???? So I asked for his name. He said he would only give his first name, Jason.
I phoned Ashley’s furniture head office, and guess how that went? Yes exactly. Now when every person you speak to says the same thing “I understand your frustration ma’am or sir.” You know they have meetings practicing what to say after they have scammed yet another customer. So here I sit with no bed for almost a year now and no one, not one person could have compassion and take care of a customer or as a human, with no bed after this length of time. So I tell you all. If you dare to purchase anything from Ashley furniture, be aware that if something happens to it, you are totally out of luck for a refund or a replacement.

Ashley Furniture what a sham, The online store has nothing to do with the city store Ashley Furniture and matter of fact this is a franchise with zero accountability.... This company does not stand behind any mistakes they make nor any of their merchandise. The customer service department horrendous, totally incompetent and changed my credit card after cancelling the product twice, they had someone call me to offer 10% off to keep the order I declined, they went ahead and changed my card and are shipping the item anyway, I am more than angry with this furniture store. I will never shop this store again!!!

Ashley Furniture has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered $1994.94 worth of furniture in March 2021. The Sales Rep pitched this wonderful "Protection Plan" that would cover any damage to the furniture or cleanings needed with no deductible. My furniture was delivered May 8, 2021. On May 16, 2021 I emailed customer service because there was already a large rip in the cushion of the sofa and the mechanism under one of the recliners was broken asking how to file a claim under the wonderful Protection Plan. I was advised not to file it under the protection plan and they would send me new casings and then a tech would come install them. The casings arrived and I was told to expect a call from their 3rd Party technician to schedule the work.
Over two weeks later, I had not received a call. I emailed back and was told there was no tech in my area to fulfill the service, that I would need to call their scheduling team to get them to pick my sofa up. After a few calls to the scheduling team, someone finally answered and I was told I was outside of their delivery zone (where they delivered my furniture in May) and they would have to get manager approval to come get my sofa. Fast forward to July. My couch still had not been picked up. The seat is still ripped and the recliner still broken. I file with the Better Business Bureau for assistance and finally get a call back from Customer Service to schedule my sofa to be picked up to be repaired. It was picked up July 6, 2021.
Via the BBB dispute, I was told my sofa cushion was fixed and they would be scheduling redelivery. I also asked to confirm the recliner was fixed as well. It was not, the part had not come in yet. A few weeks later, I email back asking about my sofa. They had then decided my sofa was not repairable and they had reordered my sofa - ETA NOVEMBER. At this point I asked for a full refund. Today is September 30th and I have not received my refund nor a replacement sofa. I have been stolen from.

PLEASE READ TO AVOID A HEADACHE WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! If I could give zero stars, I would. I regret ever wasting my time with Ashley Furniture. I had ordered a sleeper sofa early June of 2021. Due to Covid we were advised that the delivery could take up to twelve weeks because of the impact of the pandemic on the manufacturer. We took the chance and waited twelve weeks for our couch to be delivered thinking that it would all be worth it in the end. I received a call for my delivery date scheduled for September 3rd 2021. The delivery team came to drop off my sofa, when we discovered that it had manufacturer defects.
The fabric was coming off and the screws weren't tightened all the way and they were poking out, and one of the main support beams was warped and bent. I refused delivery because I was not going to be responsible for a defective and unsafe couch. So I contacted the warehouse and was advised that they can deliver another sleeper sofa of the same model two days later. So my new delivery date was scheduled for September 5th.
The next day I get my confirmation for the new delivery date, but the address is incorrect. I called the warehouse to fix the address, to which a representative said "I'll go ahead and take care of it for you.". I got another confirmation on Sunday September 5th, notating my delivery window but the address is STILL incorrect. I called the warehouse again so they could fix it before my sofa was dropped off but no one answered and I was forced to leave a voicemail. I waited the whole day and nobody called me back and my couch was never delivered to me.
So I called the warehouse again on Monday September 6th and spoke with a female about my situation and she advised me that the delivery was marked as complete. I told her it can't be complete because I didn't have my product. She answered back that in the confirmation photo that there was a mattress, side table, and some other items delivered. I told the representative that I ordered a sleeper sofa and no one had come by to deliver it, so those photos had to have come from a different delivery. She then scheduled me for another delivery for Friday, September 10th.
I waited until Thursday September 9th to get my confirmation, which I never received. So I called the warehouse again on Friday the 10th to see what was going on. I spoke with a male representative and explained our situation to him. He advised me that our sale ticket had been voided, and he would have to speak with his supervisor and call us back.
I waited until Monday the 13th and never got a call. So I called the Furniture store that we purchased the sofa from and asked to speak with the manager. Straight away we got sent to her voicemail and we never got a call back from her. At this point I am beyond frustrated so, on Tuesday the 14th I go to the furniture store in person to see what is going on. We spoke with the manager in person, told her everything that happened and she called the warehouse herself. The person she spoke with from the warehouse let her know that she would have to check in the back to see if she still had any of our model of sofa in stock and she will call us back since she didn't know how long it would take to "put her hands on it". So with nothing resolved, we left.
We got a call about two hours later from the same gentleman I spoke with on Friday the 10th. He said that they unfortunately do not have the couch in stock anymore so they will have to reorder it from the manufacturer. Meaning that we would have to wait 12 weeks all over again. At this point I can't believe what is going on. I try calling the corporate number for customer service, to which the receptionist tells us that the number is only for ONLINE orders, and not in person orders and transfers us to the store where we ordered the sofa. I wait on hold for over 20 minutes to speak with the manager before hanging up.
If we were supposed to have our couch delivered on Sunday September 5th, to which the delivery team never came, then where is the couch that was on that truck? Then on Wednesday September 15th, I get a call from the supervisor from the warehouse saying that they have the same model of couch that they can have it delivered on Friday September 17th. So I scheduled delivery for then, giving Ashley Furniture one last chance. The delivery comes on Friday, but with my luck, the sofa will not fit through the door due to the pull out bed in it. The delivery team did not want to risk damaging the bed inside the couch because of the flexible material. Because of this we refused delivery and decided we wanted our money back.
At this point, I want no further business with Ashley Furniture, I want my money back. I called and let them know I want a FULL refund but the receptionist tells me that there is a 20% cancellation fee. I spoke with the manager in the store after the delivery team took the couch back to the warehouse and he advised me that they cannot give us a refund until they have received the sofa at the warehouse. He told us to come back on Monday, September 20th.
It does not take three days to get a couch back from the truck to the warehouse. So we went back to the store on Saturday the 18th and spoke to the same manager and he told us that we would be getting our refund if we had just waited until Monday. They have such horrible customer service!!! After arguing with the manager we got our refund, since we had paid it off with our credit card it would take up to ten business days to go through the bank. We have since gotten our refund and are still trying to find a trustworthy business to help us find a couch for our home.

We have been a long time customer of Ashley Furniture products for 17 years, from couches, dining sets, living room and bedroom furniture. The style, durability and reasonable costs have kept us coming back again and again. Well this has officially come to an end. We have recently moved and purchased $12,000 worth of furniture to fill our new home. We paid cash and were assured our products would be available 4-6 weeks for delivery. We have been patient waiting the full 6 weeks before checking status.
Call one: "We have everything in stock, just waiting on bed rails expect a delivery call in 1 - 2 weeks". Again, being patient, waited the full two weeks before call two: "Everything is in stock, just missing the ottoman for the couch, expect a delivery call in the next couple days." Waited a week for Call three: "Everything is in, missing an insert section of the couch." Question, Why is it that each time we have called, a different piece has been missing? "Um I'm not sure, I can only tell you what is in our system." When should we expect this last piece? "Two weeks".
Waited again the full two weeks, Call 4: What is the status? "Um we are missing the nightstands to your bedroom set, won't be available until 2022?" So why can't you send me what you have in stock and I'll wait until 2022 for the night stands? "Yes, sir, we can absolutely do that. Not sure why your account was set up the way it was, as we are waiting for items to complete your order, the product we do have sometimes get sent out to fulfill other orders. This should have been explained to you, please expect delivery for 9/25/2021 for all items, minus the night stands." 9/25/2021 has come and gone, no call, no updates. Call 5: 9/28/2021: What is the status of my order, I was expecting a partial delivery for 9/25/2021? "Um, I don't show that we have any of your purchased items in stock."
There is something seriously dysfunctional with this company. They make several promises and are incapable or incompetent to be able to deliver. They are filled with lies and excuses. Multiple times, promises for a supervisor to call back - ignored. The hours spent on hold to get someone on the phone, their hold message is a farce and full of false advertising. Further confirms that the customer is nothing but $$$ and their greatest asset is their staff (to keep the charade and excuses at peak performance), not their customers believing in their products and services.
I would not recommend purchasing this product now or in the future. Save yourself the stress, aggravation and if you are needing to finance the $$$ in interest while waiting to see if you'll ever receive your furniture. Shop anywhere else but here - remind this store that their greatest asset is their customers. It's amazing how a company with such a great product could treat its customers in such a way in this difficult time. Now the real fight begins, trying to get our money back from this crooked company that is just making money off of our funds gaining interest on a product they are unable to deliver.

We went to the Springfield, MO store in early August and purchased a bedroom set and an occasional chair. We were told our delivery date would be 9/28. We found out later that we would not be home on that date so I called to see about changing it. The automated delivery message said my order could not be scheduled for delivery because it would not be ready for 16 weeks! So I called the store and asked for the salesman. Since he was not there I spoke to a woman who said that delivery dates are never set until 15 days before they have your order, a pretty important detail our salesman left out. I was told that our bed and the chair were available but not the dresser and nightstands.
Since we were sleeping on a mattress on the floor, I spoke to our salesman and told him we would take delivery of the two items that were ready. He offered 9/22 but that date did not work for us. We settled on 10/6. We decided not to wait for 10/6 and to go pick up the items ourselves. I called and spoke to a woman who gave me the address of their warehouse and who kept me on the line while she "confirmed" that we would be picking up the bed and chair from the warehouse.
On 9/25 we drove 75 miles one way to the warehouse where we were told that our items were not there and were not scheduled to be there until 10/6!!!! How they were going to deliver the items on 9/22 as was suggested, if they didn't even have them on 9/25 is something I will never understand. What did the woman "confirm" if not that the items were available for pick up? I called to cancel our order and was told that I would be transferred to the "cancellation department." After waiting for 8 minutes I gave up and called the salesman. He said "It's not like we're not trying to get you your furniture," but that's EXACTLY what it's like! He also said they were doing their best, to which I replied that their "best" was pretty bad. Some honesty and some communication would be nice, but that seems to be too much to expect from that store. The man at the warehouse told us that this has been a problem for years, so they can't blame the pandemic.

Back in November 2016 me and my wife went to Ashley Furniture for the entire home setup as we just purchased a home back in 2016. Needless to say we bought a kitchen table, couch / with love seat, recliner, and entire bed setup. The couches after 2 years of owning them without any pets in our home and taking good care of everything we own. The couches began peeling and ripping, the table peeling, the bed no longer adjusts back to shape, because we bought a memory type mattress with a adjustable bases. I notified Ashley furniture about all the issues and found out the material used for my couches were no longer being made due to it being fake leather, the sales rep wow told me this was real leather as we paid not hundreds of dollars for everything, but around 10k.
When the Company sent techs to our home, they attempted to patch up the table and looked at the couches and said they would give me a credit for the store. I refused the credit for the store as the materials they use are not quality, but low grade it shows. They sent me small check in the mail and I went to another furniture outlet to purchase my furniture.
But wait there's more as any commercial would say, the bed in question they claimed was still under warranty as we aren't talking a whole lot of time did not pass. They basically lied to me and said they would contact me about the bed and they never did, so I contacted them and had the run a around and playing 20 question trivia with these reps and they to this date and time never once helped me with my bed and basically said the bed isn't defective. Yet their tech not mine or one I hired theirs came out to my home and inspected the mattress and the tech in front of me and my wife acknowledged that the bed was defective and needed to be replaced.
So what is Ashley Furniture's reply to this, oh we will give you a great discount on a new mattress and we will throw in a free shipping and setup at your home. Wow really. No thank you and I will highly pass on this as I purchased this back in 2016 of November. 4 years go by and now I need another bed LOL. Beds don't go bad that fast. My last bed was legit not a memory foam and was 2k and I had it for 15 plus years as it is a bed not a toy.

After the 1st delivered sofa piece the second piece of sofa arrived within the week and Then it was the wrong side of the sofa. I had 2 right arm rest sides. WTH is wrong with this picture?
Then after a few months my husband and I felt the left side arm sofa was caving in the middle and felt that we were having a hard time getting up and out of the sofa. Ashley decided they would send me a replacement cushion and it did help for about a month and notice the same thing. The cushions were all losing their form and becoming FLAT. They bring in their repair guy and he stated there was no damage to the sofa but he reinforced the screws under the sofa to make sure. He then showed me that the sofas didn't come with any support under the cushions so that eventually one would feel that you are sinking.
Well... well, Ashley is not doing anything to help us out with either getting a different sofa or a return. I have filed a dispute but that has not been any help. RE: Ongoing delay - misinformation (see also: 23 Weeks and Counting...) Like many of the posts in this thread, mine is a word of caution regarding the delays Ashley HomeStore is currently facing with their manufacturing, warehouse, and delivery. While it is understandable that some of the elements are out of their control, what has been most disappointing is the failure to communicate honestly and set realistic expectations. Our experience appears to be an example of malicious and dishonest customer service.
We purchased our sectional couch in April 2021. For context, we had just moved into our home and learned that we were pregnant with our first. With that in mind, it was crucial that we furnish our home in time for the baby's arrival. During the buying process, we communicated to the Ashley HomeStore staff what our timeline was. We were assured that we could expect our Sectional Couch in "8-12 weeks". While the staff was apologetic that it would take so long, we were assured because that timeline would still ensure that the couch was delivered well before we were expecting the baby.
As you can imagine, the "8-12 weeks" came and went without any word or update from Ashley HomeStore. By Week 14, I called and was informed that there had been unexpected delays with their manufacturer and I could expect my couch by Week 18. Came and went and again, no update or call from Ashley. I called in again and asked about the status, I was again told about unexpected delays but again assured that I could expect the couch by Week 20; same scenario played out. A call on Week 22 finally revealed an honest conversation where I was told that they genuinely do not know when I can expect my couch. It could be next month, it very well could be next year. Meanwhile, my wife and I have been attempting to feed and soothe our child while sitting on an air mattress in the middle of our living room.
On top of the frustrations associated with the delays, the most disappointing aspect has been the poor communication. After reading the rest of the reviews in this thread, it is very clear that (at the outset) the staff knew that 8-12 weeks was an unrealistic timeline. Furthermore, the staff knew that they were likely unable to give a realistic timeline. However, instead of communicating the likelihood of delays to me and my pregnant wife; they instead took advantage of the situation in order to make a sale. At no time throughout this entire process have we been offered any sort of discount or compensation as a means of tender for the delay. Rather we have only been met with more false information and unrealistic expectations.
TLDR; We purchased a sectional couch 23 weeks ago and have yet to receive it/Ashley HomeStore has continually failed to provide realistic updates.

When I got service restored, I called "customer service" explained the problem & asked for a manager. They said he would call. I called later that day with same response.
I then called the store who said the proper person would get the message. The next day, I called twice, was put on hold while she "would locate someone" - after apx.10+ minutes on hold, they disconnected me. This happened twice! I will never shop Ashley Furniture again - I only gave one star because there's nothing lower. Hopefully, our loveseat holds up ok, but I'm assured Ashley Furniture doesn't care about repeat business.

My wife and I purchased a $1,000 table from Ashley Furniture. Sometime in June one of the legs screw came loose. This caused the legs to completely come off. Well, this has been a complete nightmare since then. We first called customer service to advise what to do and they informed us to go into a local store to see if they have the part. Once we arrived, a young lady gave us an order number to put in for the part. They gave us a delivery date with a time. That day nothing came, we waited at home all day for nothing. No one from Ashley furniture never called us to tell us anything. At this point we called the corporate office and talked to someone from their escalation department who said since we have been dealing with this since June that they will just replace the table. Now we did not ask for this. All we wanted was the part replaced.
Now to add to all of this we were finally told after talking to over 8 different people that the part was on back order. That also was another reason why they said they were going to replace the table because we waited so long for this. My wife and I got married on September 4, 2021, and we had family over. do you know how embarrassing it was eating from a card table because no one from Ashley furniture knows how to communicate with their customers. This is not the first piece of furniture that we had problem with. My mother-in-law bought a brand-new bed from them and already three of the metal screws have fallen out. My wife has a countless number of emails confirming delivery dates and as usual nothing shows up.
So today once again we called the corporate office and this time, I got a name. Jamill said again that the part is on back order, and we should receive the part in October. He also sent us another email confirming the date. At this point we are just so frustrated because it seems that everyone, we talk to love to just tell us something just because they don’t want to deal with the problem. So now we have another delivery date and what will happen if we don’t get the part then.

Their service was less than par, & the first service agent (after having called the first time), asked if I "really" wanted to be transferred in a condescending tone.
The agent, after I was transferred (the first time), said that she was going to reach out to their delivery team but rather transferred me to a survey asking for the rating of the service call). The last time I was transferred over to "Ashley Online (per the second agent, there are two entities), I was simply transferred to a survey to "rate" your service. Really? My order number is: **. Ashley has already pulled the funds from my bank, and I now would like to pick them up from my very local distribution center. As a first responder, I do not want to wait till almost the end of the month to have in my possession an item I purchased on August 20. We had purchased bedroom furniture from Ashley's in the past and were pleased with it. So when we were in search of new living room furniture we decided to look there first. This was the end of March 2021. We found a sectional and coffee table we liked. So we purchased it. Delivery was made within a week of purchase which was a great time frame. But from the moment the delivery guys showed up it was a disaster. First of all the delivery guys could not speak English. So I could not communicate with them.
Second of all they literally were in my house for a total of 5 minutes. They dropped the furniture and were on their way. As their truck was pulling down the driveway I noticed the coffee table had a chunk out of the leg. I immediately called The Harrisburg PA Ashley store where we bought it. I talked to the manager and he asked me to email pics. I did so within 10 minutes of the delivery. After not hearing anything for a few days, we called again. They directed us to the warranty people because we had purchased the extended warranty. Well they said it wasn't their problem because it was within the first year. And that falls under the manufacturer warranty. So we had to go back to dealing directly with Ashley's.
Now we are about a week into having the furniture. We notice the frame of the couch is broke. There is a piece of wood that is pushing through the fabric on the back of the couch. I called immediately to report it. Again I was told it was a manufacturer defect so I would need to deal directly with Ashley's. We were told by Ashley's customer service that they would need to come out to take a look at the furniture (apparently the numerous pictures were not enough). This now the beginning of April. The first available time someone can come is the middle of June. We weren't thrilled. But what are you going to do? The night before our scheduled appointment they called to say they would need to reschedule due to an emergency. It was a pre recorded message. And they said someone would be in touch within 24 hours to reschedule. No one ever called. So after a few days we called them. The next available appointment was now the end of July.
Now remember we started this process the end of MARCH! All of that to say someone finally came out the second week of August. And they weren't there to look at the furniture. They were there to fix it. And soon realized that's all Ashley's was willing to do. No store credit. No replacement. We paid 2000.00 for furniture that was delivered damaged and broke within a week. And our only option is to keep it and deal with their poor attempts at fixing it. It is ridiculous! Their customer service is the worst ever! They were not willing to work with us at all.

I called for a technician appointment. They stated he would be here on 9/4, a lady called on 08/30 to confirm my appointment for 9/4 and a technician would call me on 9/3 to give me a 4 hour window he would be here. I was assured by the salesperson and a manager that it was real leather and not bonded or faux leather and the cushions were a high density cushion. Neither is true, At the time of purchase I also purchased the extended warranty on the items. Within the first six months the headrest on one of the couches seats started peeling. I complained enough about it that Ashley replaced the whole couch and was going to replace the chair also. But the chair was delayed, the one we had was not used at all.. Couch arrived and color was a perfect match so told them we would keep the chair. Now six months later a part of the Arm rest where the controls for the recline are is peeling.
I went into the store and they were nice enough to put a work order in the system, said I would receive a call within 4 days. This is the 5th day and no call. I know last time I tried to call the warranty company and the Ashley Manufacturer...who I was told was a Made in USA chair.. Another lie. I was on hold for hours and disconnected instead of phone being connected and answered, many times. At all times sales was courteous and made it sound like they knew the product, as well as the problems with bonded leather, and I was told by more than one salesperson that Ashley did not sell anything with bonded leather any longer. Lies again.. As the leather looking material on the chairs I have must be a bonded leather otherwise they would not be peeling the way they are.

I gave this store one star since I cannot give it zero stars. We have had literally the worst experience. The salesperson told us to purchase the warranty with our leather recliners/sofa, because it would cover "everything". We asked 3 times if it would cover the motor and he said yes 3 times. Well the warranty ($500 btw) only covers accidental damage. So when the stitching came out just before the one year mark, a manufacturer issue not user error, we contacted the warranty company. The warranty company took over a month to get back to us. Well at that point we contacted Ashley directly and they told us we were 4 days out of the one year manufacturer warranty period and even though we tried to report it before that, it didn't count and they would do nothing for me.
I proceeded to talk to 6 separate customer service agents at Ashley and 5 of 6 told me I could get a refund for the worthless warranty. One even told me they were processing the refund and I should see it in 3-5 days. Well after 2 weeks of no refund I called again and the 6th agent told me I would not get a refund and that No one was intending to follow up with me to tell me that. If I hadn't called them again then I would not know. Then he gave me a phone number that is not working to call, and hung up on me. On 08/27/2021 I received a call from the Ashley Furniture warehouse informing me that they were not going to deliver it until 09/03/2021. Since I was on my way home from work, I decided to stop by the store to find out what was going on. I spoke to the dark-haired woman at the counter. I informed her I had just hung up with the warehouse and they changed the date. She was adamant and got snotty saying it would be the 31st.
I asked her to contact the warehouse to verify and she flatly stated "NO, I HAVE THE SYSTEM SO I WON'T CALL THEM." SO, I CALLED put the warehouse and put it on speaker. The warehouse verified the date was changed and yet the woman behind the counter STILL refused to accept it. The store manager was standing near and said absolutely nothing! Most of the employees were standing around doing nothing. One employee finally said he would help me find something else that would be delivered by the 31st of August. After waiting well over 30 minutes for him to check for anything he took me around the store. Everything I choose would not be in before September!
I ended up cancelling the order and going elsewhere. I went to American Freight on Saturday 8/28/2021 and my loveseat was delivered 08/29/2021! This is what I call SERVICE! As we were moving to a new house, THIS WAS IMPORTANT TO US. Upon arriving at this date, it took 5 phone calls to talk to someone. This is important as we were moving to a new house. The week of June 26, we were told that they would not be delivered and we would have to wait until Sept. 3. The parts of the order that did arrive, there was a dresser not assembled properly, still waiting for that to be fixed and a headboard for our youngest child is now backorders and won't be here until THANKSGIVING.
There has been lies, deceptions, lack of communication, unyielding refund policy. Now, their phone system doesn’t work, computers are offline and our salesperson is not there for two weeks. I should be able to get a full refund when I was guaranteed delivery on June 26 and it will be 5 months late. 6 MONTHS OF WAITING, meanwhile my youngest child HAS NO BED. At the time of delivery, I found packaging totally damaged and I pointed out this to the delivery person who refused to take it back and asked me to call customer service. When I opened the box, I found out that the product with lot of scratches and dirt. I also found assembling screws missing. Interior packaging clearly showed that the product has been dismantled from somewhere and just stuffed into a mis sized Box.
To my surprise, I even found out a return label inside the box that showed that this product was returned to stores by some previous buyer back in June 2021. I called up customer service immediately who told me that someone will confirm the replacement schedule. I also called up sales representative at stores who sold this product who also confirmed to give us a call back confirming the replacement. Since then, I have called customer service several times just to hear same assurance of someone calling me back on replacement plan. Sales rep at your stores have since stopped answering my call. I am really frustrated with my entire experience with Ashley and would like to caution anyone interested in buying from Ashley Furniture to be ready for this frustrating journey.

Do not go to Ashley Furniture. They are the worse company to deal with. They tell you things are in stock and after they get the sale/commission they could care less. I've been waiting for my furniture since March of 2021. I was told during the sale everything was in stock. They lie to you in order to get a sale. If you want furniture fast go to Raymour & Flanigan. I had to cancel items and buy from a reliable company which is Raymour & Flanigan.

I purchased a table with Ashley furniture and upon delivery I noticed there was a defect. It took weeks before I was able to get any answers. They would not exchange my product even though they say they have a 48 hour policy. Eventually they had delivery people pick it up and told us they would fix it and bring it back. When they returned the table it had a new chip. They are now claiming that the table is suppose to look like that and that the table was made this way. I have taken pictures as proof that it does not look the same way as when I bought it. It's actually worse! They now have my table and I have not heard from anyone. Any time you try to speak with a manager they tell you that they cannot provide you with that information. I am frustrated, shocked and can't believe that Ashley furniture runs their business this way. Buyers beware!

No Returns or Exchanges on Mattresses. Not even poorly made ones. I needed a new mattress so I decided to go to Ashley. They were helpful and the store was clean with a number of options. This is were things go south. I received the mattress and it felt nothing like the mattress that I tested in the store. It was extremely uncomfortable. I called and got 2 different answers from the reps. The first one said that this kind of thing happens all the time and he will have someone call me back in 48 hours. After 48 hours I called back and the next rep said that there is nothing they can do to help. No one even called to tell me that.
The manager on the phone said that they would send a warranty specialist over to my house to check for defects. He did show up after about 5 days and yes he found workmanship issues and said that he would submit them and the store manager has the authority to do an exchange or credit. My issue is that the mattress didn't feel like the mattresses at the store so in my eyes it was misrepresented.
I gave 1 star because the manager wouldn't even come out to talk to me. He or she sent an employee out to say that there is nothing they can do. I reminded them that the mattress has manufacturing flaws that the warranty specialist confirmed and they said that they wouldn't do anything about it. They should have had better quality control before shipping the mattress to me.
Don't buy a mattress from Ashley Homestore because they hide behind a no return or exchange policy. There are plenty of mattress companies that will at the least do an exchange if you are not happy. I made a mistake buying from them and I'm spending the time writing this to hopefully save people from buying a mattress from Ashley Homestore. Don't Buy a Mattress from Ashley Homestore!! If I could use less than one star to rate Ashley Furniture customer service, I would. In July 2021 I ordered, online, a queen panel bed for a gift for my granddaughter. She was in college so I had to wait a few weeks after door delivery (bed in boxes) to take the bed to her in Oklahoma (from Texas). When we started putting the bed together (in Oklahoma) we realized the rails were for a full bed, not queen. I started calling Ashley customer service that day August 10, 2021. I’ve talked to 11 CS reps and still do not have the correct rails. There’s no one who accepts any responsibility or has the authority to solve this problem - you know, “the buck stops here”. They wouldn’t transfer me to the CEO, I asked and supervisors only read their standard “rules”, you know, they can’t reason out the problem, and it’s not their problem.
I wanted them to ship the rails to Oklahoma, not Texas, since that’s where the unusable bed is and where the wrong sized rails are. Their response is a “one size fits all” answer, there’s no one in customer service allowed to “think” or problem solve on their own. They did admit they made the mistake but, be that as it may, they will not ship the correct rails to the Oklahoma address because I didn’t figure out they delivered the wrong rails within 7 days of delivery so it’s “unfortunate for me” (and they’re really, really sorry - sarcasm intended) that my options disappeared at that point. Nice!
And by the way, the slats they delivered with the side rails were used, in addition to being the wrong size. In fact, I took pictures showing they’ve been used and bent. And the box containing my side rails had another customer’s name on it in addition to my name. This customer must have gotten these “wrong” rails in May 2021, then they (Ashley) mistakenly left his shipping label in place and put mine on the mismarked box and tried to pawn them off on me. My advice to anyone reading this review, pay more money and shop anywhere else for your furniture. Ashley will not stand behind their products, their customer service or their delivery services (which are contracted and don’t care one whit whether you’re satisfied or not). I will NEVER buy another piece of furniture from Ashley Furniture!

I ordered furniture online as a gift for a family member. It it was dining room set with 8 chairs and a china cabinet. I placed the order asking for hassle free delivery and set up. Well, apparently when your order from Ashley Furniture you are also ordering from City Furniture. They decide who send you what pieces of furniture and which ones get delivered with set up and which ones are sent by Fed-ex. I have spent hours between calls with both companies even though I ordered from Ashley because of how they distribute the furniture between both companies.
Long story short, some of the furniture was delivered by Ashley and requires assembly (6 chairs). Some of the furniture will be delivered and set up 3 months from now (City furniture) even though I specifically asked for everything to be delivered at the same time. I asked Ashley furniture if they can put together the furniture that was already delivered when they come to set up the other furniture since this is what I was promised on the order and even though Ashley owns City furniture, and waiting 20 minutes for a decision, they could not. Why? Because they own City furniture but can't control how they do their business and apparently don't care about their customers or customer service. They only care about their policies, not their customers. I would advise you to steer clear of both of these companies until they become one, have one policy, promise what was advertised and improve their customer service.

I thought this would be ok, but then Snap Finance started debiting my account twice a month. After paying over $1000, I still owe more than what the furniture costs. I have figured out that the annual percentage rate is 125%. By the time I pay this off, I will have paid more than twice the amount that the furniture is worth. I want to warn other consumers that they need to be careful when purchasing furniture on credit. I believe that Atlantic Bedding and Furniture should have informed me of the total cost. They just hand customers the paperwork to get a signature. Unfortunately, high pressure sales associates don't want to warn customers of the interest rates.

We called within 24 hours to return 1 couch, the staff told us a manager would call us, 4 days later the manager called while I was in meeting, didn't leave a direct line. I called back and each time a different person answered the call and had no authority to handle the refund. We purchased a sectional sofa from Ashley’s, and we were told 8-12 weeks for delivery. My husband asked them to verify that the furniture would fit through the door. He gave them measurements, and they assured us it would fit. Seventeen weeks later, the couch arrives, and it doesn’t fit through the door! My husband wanted to take the weatherproofing off the inside of the door frame to widen the opening, but the delivery guys said they couldn’t wait. (Fair enough—they have other jobs.) We called Ashley, and they said they would make sure our couch would be redelivered. And after the delivery guys left, my husband widened the doorway opening enough that the couch could fit. We thought, ok, fine, we’ll just schedule another delivery. But nope—Ashley gave our couch away to the next person who ordered it.
Again, we waited seventeen weeks for that couch. Then, they wanted to charge us a 30% restocking fee and not refund the delivery fee. This is after they assured us the couch would fit when we gave them our exact doorway measurements at the time of purchase. It’s a racket. We called corporate, and they were incredibly unhelpful and bordering on rude. They said none of this is the responsibility of the store, and they didn’t seem to care at all about our inconvenience. I was shocked that corporate would behave that way. We are the customer, and we rely on the salespeople to guide us in our purchase—they are supposed to be the experts on their own furniture, from purchase to delivery. And they gave our couch away before we could schedule the redelivery they promised. What is that?
We did get a full refund, but not without several calls and a trip down to the store. We found the couch at another store, and we will most likely purchase it through this other store. Now that the doorway is wider, it shouldn’t be a problem. But no way are we going to make this purchase through Ashley again. I can’t imagine buying anything from them again.

We ended up paying over $2400. for the sofa, and had to wait a week to have it delivered. The day it was delivered, we found it to be VERY uncomfortable to both sit and recline in it. It had lumbar support, but that just made the back pain even worse. We went back to the store the day it was delivered, and spoke to the salesman who sold it to us. We were told we would not only have to pay a 25% restock fee, but also have to pay $50 for the delivery guys to come back to the house to get it.
We received a call from the warehouse a few hours after it was delivered saying it would be 5 days for them to come back and get it. We don't live out of town... In fact we are in N. Medford (not far from the store). The ONLY guarantee Ashley has is to NOT return all of your money if you’re not completely satisfied. So, to summarize... a week to deliver it, having to wait another 5 days for them to come and pick it up. Plus pay $500 in restock fees and another $50 to have it picked up to return it. Ashley Furniture doesn't even deserve one star. Our sectional we over paid for started falling apart at the seams after only a few months. We called the store and they told us to go through the warranty company that we paid extra for. Montage....a whole other disaster. We spent the better part of a year trying to get this fixed. Just for them to tell us we had to go through the store to get it fixed under the manufacturer warranty. Well guess what, now it has been over a year so the store won't fix it. They want us to pay for new cushions that fell apart a few months after we bought it, even though we went to the store first, before our year had passed. Customer service is awful, they just give you number after number to all different stores, which none of them can help.
When we finally spoke to someone who could have helped through corporate (after they gave us a bunch of other numbers to try) they said they won't replace them. Let me preface with saying leaving negative reviews are not something I enjoy. I always look at the silver lining and understand things happen, mistakes happen and nothing is perfect. However after multiple attempts to try and get this resolved with the store, I figure this might be the only way to get someone’s attention. In this case, it’s been almost a year of being jerked around by this company. I figure if I could save anyone else this trouble, then it’s worth it.
I will never spend another dollar in this store and I typically spend at least a few thousand a year on new upgrades to my home and living area. I paid cash for a oversized leather recliner and eat in kitchen table. I purchased this on February 2021. I was told there was a 2 month wait and I was ok with this understanding the circumstances with Covid. They changed the date a few times but we received around the end of May (3 months). The chair was clearly used. Arrived with gashes/rub marks in the leather and it did not recline. I called the company and explained the situation and asked for them to delivery a new one. I was told another 2 month wait. Now my patience is starting to get thin.
Fast forward and I’ve received multiple “error” calls saying the chair is on the way and to ignore it because it’s wrong. I get text messages telling me the date keeps getting pushed out. I received a text message last week saying the chair was in the warehouse today (August 17th) and then I receive a follow up about the chair being ready to deliver and choose my date. I chose the 17th. Date comes and goes and no one calls me. I sent a text and the person who originally said the chair was in the warehouse now says there is no update on delivery. Then they tell me I received the text in error. I think it goes to say this is unacceptable. If I call to get a status, it tells me my order is expected from 2-222 weeks from now. What?! I’m not 6 months in and no chair. Not to mention, the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The sad part is a friend of mine had the same thing happen to her and I didn’t listen to her. Lesson learned.
This company has a no refund policy and now I know why. Keep that in mind if you take a chance on Ashley furniture. You’re stuck with a piece of garbage that will take up space in your house. You’re better off visiting another furniture store or in this case, you would have better furniture from Walmart. I should of went to my usual American Signature Furniture or BF Myers.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. Ordered a substantial amount of furniture ($13k worth) back in early June as I was anticipating a move from a small apartment to a large house. The move was not set to happen until August, but I already had my new address finalized and wanted to minimize the amount of time I spent without furniture. I placed 2 orders, one set for delivery on August 12 and the other for August 17 - perfect timing. Paid in full immediately upon placing the orders.
At first, Ashley delayed both orders by a couple weeks. Annoying, but still on the edge of what I was willing to accept. I understand the pandemic has presented challenges to companies worldwide, which is why I was willing to accept the significant wait in the first place. I have now been in my new house with nothing but an air mattress for a week and both orders, days before their scheduled deliveries, were delayed AGAIN until October. I vented about this to a friend and she revealed that she'd placed an order in April and was still without furniture mid-August. She's been living on nothing but an air mattress that whole time.
I immediately canceled my orders and filed disputes with Paypal. I have received no confirmation of cancelation from Ashley after filling out what looks like an amateur Google doc they provide for cancelation. I have no doubt I'll get my money back with Paypal, but $13k is a substantial amount to have to wait for a refund on - especially as I'm now having to order furniture from other companies than can actually deliver prior to getting that refund. I may even have to take off work despite having budgeted a significant amount of time off to receive deliveries and get my new house set up because I now have to wait for a more reputable company's pandemic delivery timeline.
DO NOT ORDER FROM ASHLEY. I cannot emphasize this enough. I was warned and I wish I would've listened. I wouldn't be dealing with significant neck/back pain from sleeping on an air mattress if I had. Spend your hard earned money with a company that will deliver on a (pandemic) reasonable timeline and not string you along for months.

She started us out on a $5000 mattress and wanted to progressively move us down the line. I told her I was not willing to pay $5000 for a mattress and suggested she start us on the cheapest and move up. The Gruve was comfortable, available and reasonably priced so we purchased it. I have had it for 5 nights and have not had even one good night’s sleep. I called to complain and was told there was nothing they could do for me. Mattresses were unreturnable.
There is something wrong with it. The covering on the mattress has readjusted so that one side of it is now nearly on the bottom. Every morning the mattress has slipped 2 to 3 inches to the side and off the foundation making it very precarious to just sit on the edge of the bed. When I get in, I have to get into the middle because the side is somewhat droopy or slanted and it is difficult to stay on it. They sent two men to inspect it. One guy moved it over on its base to realign it and they “reported” it. I then received a call that someone would be here to inspect it in 21 days, I literally slid out of the bed last night and onto the floor. I had to call family members to get me up. Said they were too large. I had feeling like I'm being told this because we're older, had to walk them through reducing size in views on the PC.
Today I get an email from them telling me my warranty has expired because it was purchased on March 31 of 2016 WTF. So we did a closer inspection on what has been delivered and found 2 more pieces are damaged - one a critical structural board broken in half and one with a 6” cut on back side, these damages were not noticed because delivery people assembled them and pushed them back to the wall.
Now we have 4 of 6 items that need replaced. Spoke with the manager who was so sorry but will order full replacement of all items promising a delivery in 10 days. After all the missed deadlines and the hassles this has caused I just told them to come and get it out of my house. We don't feel like waiting for another 4 months without living a room set. It's back to shopping. My review is minus 5stars.

Worst furniture store! I agreed to wait for my sofa for 4 months. When they delivered one piece was damaged. They reordered the piece and told me I need to wait for another month or so. Today they came to delivery and I have another piece totally broken! Called the store in Pottstown really pissed and they hang up the phone on my face twice. Asked to have my money back because I don't want to wait for another month or so and they told me I will be charged 30% of my purchase. Unacceptable! The store manager Isaiah refused to talk to me and let me with my frustration and without a solution. They wasn't prepared to deal with a customer who has a right to be angry after almost 6 months waiting for a furniture and had this delivered with damage twice. Don't buy anything from Ashley! PUT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON A STORE WHO TREAT YOU WELL AND FULFILL YOUR COMMITMENTS! ASHLEY NEVER AGAIN!!!

We purchased a nice recliner for my grandmother. The chair is not even 2 yrs old and the chair was no longer reclining back. Went to the Ashley store. Lady at the counter, RUDE, took my pics and was suppose to send them to customer service. Did not even do it. I spoke to Christopher who was very helpful in customer service who provided me all the details. The following Monday, I called to schedule the appt. for them to come to fix the chair. Spoke to Nellu, (or something) nice but did not have the right info, so she had to consult the manager. I was told I would have to go inside the store to pay for labor ($140).
Call CS to see if they received all my pics and I told them I had paid for the service. The young lady told me they would be out on a Thurs. Nobody came. I called CS again. the service had been cancel. NOBODY REACHED OUT TO ME TO LET ME KNOW WHY IT WAS CANCELED. Went to the store. The same ** lady at the front desk (RUDE) never looked up. The supervisor Jessica helped. So, they finally delivered the parts. OMG, When the service worker came to fix the chair, he opened the box, there was no motor or button. Once I called CS the lady stated they had made a mistake so she orders the right parts, But told me I would have to pay for service. ** IT WAS NOT EVEN MY FAULT. THIS IS THE WORSE FURNITURE STORE AND I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. AND I WILL FILE A REVIEW WITH THE BBB.

Reasonable quality products and terrible customer service. One sofa has been delayed at least 2 months from their estimate (obviously COVID-19 is to blame and the delay keeps getting extended). A love seat arrived damaged and Ashley Furniture promised to repair it. Then, they outsourced the repair to 2 different companies, neither of which do they have control over and neither of which they claim to be able to contact except via email. We have wasted 3 separate half days waiting on repair people to arrive. They have our money and we have one damaged piece out of 2 we purchased. We will be shopping elsewhere in future.

There’s not enough room here to correctly review the HORRIBLE customer service at Ashley Furniture in The Woodlands, Texas. The manager is a complete ass and doesn’t have a clue about what is going on. No eye contact and was in a hurry for us to leave because after the delivery date changed for the fifth time I went to the store for answers. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!! You will be sorry.

We purchased 3 leather Catanzaro Power sofas from Coleman. We purchased the extended warranty with Guardian. After 2 years the sofas will go to the trash. The sofas' "leather" is peeling and cracking. Guardian says the extended warranty does not cover as it's a manufacturing defect. Ashley says that their warranty is only for 1 year. Coleman washes their hands and says it's not their problem. Next, I purchased leather sofas with the expectation they would last. It's been 2 years and need to trash them and lose what I paid. Stay away from Coleman and Ashley. Do NOT TRUST the warranty policies offered. The fine print basically makes the policy almost useless as the fine print has a ton of exceptions. They will come and say you are not covered as it's a manufacturer defect or that it's "NORMAL" damage for use. Ashley will NOT cover after 1 year and you will see your furniture useless right after the warranty expires. TERRIBLE!!!!

We shopped around at EVERY furniture store available more than once and ended back up at Ashley's. After diligently shopping, we found the perfect everything for us! We purchased a living room set, 2 bedroom sets, mattresses, dining set, desk & tables for all. It was a big purchase for us and we were very leary about any sales pitch we may get. From the time we walked in we met Lillian ** (Douglasville) who walked us through (without hounding us) & worked with us on EVERY item. We love the quality and style of every item we choose and look forward to the premium delivery and set up of them all this weekend, and a few coming in a few weeks. We will without a doubt return to Ashley's for any other upcoming furniture purchases. The manager Keiron ** was also very professional and accommodating. No doubt 5 stars for our experience! Thank you Ashley Team!

We bought the Ashley Furniture Signature wicker set. We have had it for 3 years and many of the plastic straps are broken. Not a few many. it should last more than a few years and we paid good money for it. We called the company and they said it only has a 1-year warranty. Doe this mean it will only last one year? If these were some of the straps I would understand this is many of them. No honor about their furniture.

The salesperson at the Springfield, MO store promised delivery of our sofa and recliner in 4 to 6 weeks. Even asked that I initial that on the bill of sales. Two weeks later I was informed that delivery will be in 14 to 16 weeks. The first Customer Service rep I spoke with advised me that sales staff make inaccurate promises and then another rep would contact me within 24 hours to facilitate cancellation of my order. Again, not true. Forty eight hours was promised me by the second rep I spoke with. Again nothing. We are working with our bank to retrieve payment for this merchandise. Meantime, we purchased better quality furniture for a similar price at a local furniture store. Avoid doing business with this company.

I ordered a desk in March and was told it would be delivered in early May. Since then I have been told story after story about when to expect delivery. It's the most horrible customer service I've ever experienced from a furniture store. I would NEVER have ordered the desk if they had been honest about the anticipated delivery time.

I have purchased one Dining Table from Ashley Furniture online on Jul 05, 2021. When I purchased this product, it was showing estimated delivery date - Aug 18, 2021. Last week, I checked and now my scheduled delivery date is Jan 01, 1901. I don't understand if I need to use Time Machine to collect this product from Ashley Furniture. Since then, I have been calling several times and had chat with their customer care but none of them were able to help me except they put me on hold and run away or they transfer me from one agent to other agent. This is such a horrible experience which I never expected from Ashley. Currently, I have no clue when I will get my product. It shows Jan 01, 1901 on their website.

Worst warranty I’ve ever bought. Beware. So Ashley Furniture never informed me that after the first year your warranty goes to a company called GBS. This company has over 51 1 star reviews. Long story short I filed a claim July 12, 2021. I never received a call back. I never received a return email. I called back July 27, 2021 and I was told that there Were an a cumulative of stains which is false. You can see that from the picture and he furthermore told me that they would not fix my couches then when I got angry with him he furthermore told me that he would put in the computer I was trying to fraud The system.
All I was trying to do was get my couch fixed. Looks like that’s not gonna happen so Ashley‘s you got your money, GBS they got their money and I get nothing but the worst customer service. Hung up on. The whole point is you can’t people into buying this five year protection And the customers can’t use it. Go read the reviews GBS warranty. Everybody go read it. I’m not the only one that saying that. There’s over 51 people that say the same thing I’ll
