When trying to explain that the hardware provided is incorrect, they would only send me more of the same incorrect hardware. Drawers will not close or open correctly because of this, and they would love give me a refund either. How am I supposed to use a dresser that has unusable drawers?

A couch spring broke and we filed our claim with Ashley within the warranty period. After over a month of waiting for a response, they finally told us they denied our claim "due to customer use". The warranty doesn't say it becomes void if we "use" our furniture. We spent 2 more months and countless hours disputing their denial and even tried to go through the BBB who tries to settle your claim. During this process, Ashley side stepped every issue and came up with a new denial reason of "now it's past the warranty period". We filed our claim within the warranty period, so this doesn't make sense. We've also sent them 2 demand letters and spoken to numerous employees who agreed with us but couldn't help us because corporate made up their minds already. I don't know what we did to deserve such unfair treatment from them.

Ashley also bait and switched us when they sold us a 5 year furniture protection plan through a 3rd party called GBS. We found out 1 year later there was a completely different contract with different exclusions than the pamphlet provided at purchase. We were not given a copy of the contract until 1 year later and I had to ask for it 3 times before getting it, and of course our signature is not on this contract. Contract states we can cancel "for any reason", but Ashley made it as difficult as possible during the entire process. We finally got our refund and the same day we also got an email saying "congrats on your new furniture, here's important info about your delivery". I thought, great, they finally approved our claim. Boy was I wrong.

I called corporate and they said the claim was still denied because it's past the warranty period. Again, we filed our claim within the warranty period but they are ignoring this fact. These people are unbelievable. Their furniture is so poorly made that they would go out of business if they honored all their claims, so they have to deny lots of claims in order to stay in business. We are not letting this go. We are now taking them to small claims court and it will cost them thousands more than it would have cost them if they simply honored their claim. All the proof is on our side.

The delivery team appeared to be professional - however, they left Styrofoam on my carpet, damaged my wall (because they failed to use blankets as any reputable mover would do) by hitting it with the metal part of the footboard - tearing a chunk of drywall and coats of paint out of the wall and then acted like they didn't do it - even said to the call center "If we did it" - when you hit the wall you both looked back at the damage done! Left smudge prints on my wall - not small marks but hand sized smudge prints. Upon setting up the bed, they finagled the underbed leg support - put it at an angle because the slats to the bed somehow rubbed up against one of the drawers. THEN the second drawer was installed with cracks in the wood.

All of this was reported to the appropriate departments. However, it took multiple calls to get someone to schedule an appointment to have someone come out to repair the bed. THEN I receive a replacement drawer that I cannot use because all of the hardware from the original has to be removed and drilled into the new drawer. I have no idea who to call to do this.

I also called their customer support number twice today. The first time my call went unanswered for 17 minutes - so I hung up. I called back and decided to stay on the phone until someone answered. I was on hold for 47 minutes before someone answered. Then I had to be transferred to the "In-Home Damage" department and put on hold again. No one answered. So after about 9 minutes, the original customer service agent comes back on to tell me that they can give me a check for $95 or an in-store credit of $115 in response to damaging my wall. So wait, $95 does not cover the amount of time I have sat on-hold just to speak to someone, nor the time it will take for me to find a reputable person who can properly fix the dry wall and paint it without the damage/fix looking obvious. I WISH I could include photos...

“We ordered a zero gravity leather recliner and loveseat in January. It was a cash sale and we paid a large amount of money for power warranty. The recliner came first and we loved it completely however when the loveseat came it did NOT seat as expected. Both my husband and myself describe it as sitting ON top of the piece versus IN it. It is not the same feeling and we are not pleased at all. We went into store and were told we would have to file a request for a return/exchange and it would be today before we were told if we qualify.! WHAT!!!

Today we were told that if we didn’t want the piece then we should have rejected it upon delivery. Well my husband wasn’t home at delivery. I called the corporate just to follow up and the lady actually got testy with us. She then told us that they do not offer a COMFORT guarantee on furniture. What the heck. I knew paying cash would give us less leverage if something happened but this is totally ridiculous. DO NOT EXPECT ANY FEEL GOODS OR EXTRAS ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Their policies are in place for their protection not your satisfaction. Very very disappointing.” Angela and Anthony ** (Joseph **) **

I purchased 4 chairs from Ashley's but when they were delivered the chairs did not meet expectations. I drove them to an Ashley store to return them only to be told they would not accept them and it would be my responsibility to ship them back to a warehouse in North Carolina from Massachusetts. It cost me over $198.00 to ship them back. I should have just given them away. I was shocked that Ashley would not stand behind their own product. So purchase from them at your own risk.

Worst experience ever!!! We are trying to get any news about our order, we are calling almost 2 months to the store on Ashley on Heritage, we spoke a lot of time with Prince sales rep, Jacqueline who is the manager, everyone promised us check and call us back next day and NO ONE DID THAT NEVER!!! We have order for almost $6000 and manager can`t find where it is right now and will it be delivered to me or not, they always said that they need to check and they call us back, but they did not. I was told 10 times that this time they call us for sure.

Because no one calls me back I had to go to the store two days ago again and again, I was told by Jacqueline (manager) that first thing in the morning she will call me back with the details and again no one called me back. I left two voice mail because no one answer the phone and nothing... NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING IN ASHLEY AGAIN!!! My order number is **. And my advise to everyone, just never buy in Ashley.

Purchased a bed with a movable base during the holidays. Was originally dealing with two employees, one salesman and one mattress specialist and we came to an agreement on a price of a mattress but made an appointment to return to make the purchase. Upon arriving to our appointment we found our salesman who left to find our mattress specialist when she brought a completely new person. When we told her that this wasn't the original person we worked with he lied telling us he worked with us before (upon leaving the store the original specialist saw us immediately recognizing us but unfortunately it was too late and he lost the sale). While speaking with this new mattress specialist I explained my apprehension about purchasing a movable base.

After a LONG conversation about return policy he told us that there is a 30 day trial period and if we were unhappy with the product we can return it for a full refund. However, upon delivery we were asked "were you happy with delivery?", to which we responded yes, because the delivery itself was seamless. When we then tried out the product in the new home and the movable base checked all the boxes that stirred my original apprehension, we are now told that there are no returns or refunds. These salesman lied to our faces the entire conversation, first on who they were and second to get me a product knowing the possibility of my unhappiness with the product. The likelihood of me shopping from Ashley 0%. Will I explain this experience to every person asking for a furniture recommendation? 100%. I will be sleeping on the mattress for the next "30 years" to remind myself of this experience.

Went to Ashley for two bedroom sets. Should have learned from another experience with Ashley. Found the sets paid $5,500.00 which in today's world isn't too bad. I figured if I bought the "Signature edition" I was getting the best this company has to offer....WRONG... I advise anyone or everyone to completely inspect every inch of what you are buying not that that's what they will deliver because they won't. I received this crap and had to level everything with furniture pads. Everything wobbled on the floor. And NO my floors are not uneven because the first thing I did was get my level to check.

I finally started to fill the drawers in the spare room and the top drawer in the nightstand was stuck so pulled on it with minimal force and three small wood screws fell on the floor. They came off the drawer's plastic drawer slides. Tried to figure out how to take the slide apart and repair it myself. Then I remembered I bought a $500.00, five year warranty with this crap and I figured I would call them... Hah, another scam...They told me that's not covered under the "warranty protection plan". So, I'll repair this crap myself when it starts to fall apart piece by piece. Oh, bought this towards the end of 2021. STAY AWAY from Ashley if you value your hard earned money and spend it at a smaller local furniture store that may still care.

Then, the delivery date comes and I get an email telling me that I had to reschedule. Why? I have no clue but the rescheduling options are at least one week out. When I tried contacting the customer service folks I had to wait 20 minutes to hear from someone, who then transferred me to another number. I am still waiting to hear from someone on this line. Bought a complete set of furniture for the living room and bedroom from the store in Tampa. I placed the order in September. I was supposed to receive all the items latest by November but the last item received was in the 2nd week of Feb. The couch was ruptured and structurally damaged during the delivery and they were able to fix that as it was insured. The bedroom set was the last thing to arrive and to my surprise, after talking to them they offered me a discount as well. The shady part is they took off INSTALLATIONS from my bedroom set.. How am I supposed to lift those 4 boxes weighing 100 lbs and heaviest being 210lbs? A very shady way of running the business. If you cannot afford to offer discounts then don't. Just stop lying and luring people into buying your product by offering things that you can't and causing inconvenience at the end.

Where do I start? Bought my bedroom suite 16 months ago and with the sales person's suggestion we also took advantage of the extended warranty. Was sleeping and the left side of my bed collapsed. Amazed to my surprised nothing was broke. The bed literally fell apart. Quite disappointed, I first called customer service then they repeated several times the bed out of the one year warranty and referred me to the extended warranty company. They let me know they do not cover a bed falling apart. The warranty I bought was worthless.

After complaining they referred me back to the store and since there was nothing broken the store would cover the repair. The representative had me tell Ashley something very specific (I do not remember what), but the representative did not question me and set me up for an appointment for someone to come fix my bed. The tech would call within 24 hours I was told.

After 10 days I called back and spoke to a VERY rude and condescending customer service rep and he told me the ticket was closed the next day and they were not going to fix my bed. At this point, I was lied to about the warranty “covering everything”, turned down by the warranty company, lied to about a repair tech calling me, and then treated like an absolute piece of trash when I was trying to figure out why I wasn’t called. Anybody who has only had a piece of furniture for 16 months would be highly disappointed the bed fell apart. No one has reached out to me. All I get is, your bed isn’t covered. I will never buy from Ashley again and I will tell every person I meet and know about my experience. Another large box furniture store who doesn’t care about their customers, only collecting money.

This is a review for the store in Avondale, AZ. I dislike doing this, but I’m frustrated and very disappointed and people need to be aware. First, I must say the employees there must hate their job as they won't acknowledge you when walking in. They are all in little groups chatting or on their phones. it takes a while before anyone asks if you need help. Once you tell them you are there to do an exchange their facial expressions change. No one wants to help.

I purchased a mattress in October and delivery kept being pushed out daily so I went to get a refund. The manager which I can’t even remember his name said he can give me an upgrade for the same price I purchased the original bed. I said OK but the mattress was not what I needed so I went back and requested a refund. I got the refund, but my husband decided to go behind my back and purchased that same mattress manager gave him the same deal as he gave me. Anyways 2 months in and it has created body indentions and so I called to get an exchange as they claim the warranty is 10 years. Well it has not been easy.

We finally got a tech to go to inspect the mattress he did all the pictures, and measurements which he said “mattress is defected” and that a claim will be put in for me to get an exchange or an upgrade. Well, this is where it gets funny. Suddenly this mattress is obsolete. They no longer carry this same mattress so if I want the refund I need to contact the manufacturer or wait around for another mattress if I wish to do an exchange which I did and another thing that gets to me also I have a credit card with them yet they want me to pay the difference with cash or another credit card and they won’t place the order until l pay the difference. WHAT?? So why do I have a credit card with Ashley? So I paid the difference and here I am still no mattress only another credit card bill to pay credit soon.

They honestly don’t care. All they want is to make their commission. After that they are pretty much done with you. I’m still waiting for this mattress that keeps being pushed out daily. At this point I just want the money I paid extra and let them give me a similar new mattress for the original price I paid and never buy anything from them ever again and I must say that I have furnished all my house with their furniture. They need to stop using the COVID excuse and say, "We don’t have it. We can call you when the furniture comes in for you to make the purchase then or let you use their credit card without asking for a partial payment with cash or another credit card". Worst customer service!

I finally received a screenshot of where my order was canceled the day it was placed with no notification to me and not receiving any refund for an order I paid in full! They have had my money for the past three months and have been giving me "updated delivery dates" or no information at all when they canceled the order without notification to me or consent the moment I paid for it all! The person who gave me this information gave me a number to call and then immediately ended the chat which is the equivalent of hanging up on me. My husband is getting ready to have major neck/back surgery, we shopped around for a comfortable power recliner for him to have while recovering. We found one that he really liked and felt it was the most comfortable of all he tried at Ashley Furniture at Sandhills in Columbia SC. We purchased and a delivery date was set up, when we received the chair it was so very uncomfortable and after a few days we knew it was going to take a very long time to break in if ever.... I contacted the store and told them the problem (I swear it it is like sitting on a board) was told that they would turn it into customer service and someone would contact us and under the circumstances that there was a chance that we could swap it out for the one in the store. A few hours later we went to the store to retry the chair to make sure that we weren't imagining the difference. Well we weren't it was such a big difference.

When I asked to speak to the lady that I had talked with earlier, they said okay they would let her know we were there. She was busy so we sat and waited for 45 minutes, she walked by us several times without speaking, and finally went and sat behind the desk. I walked up there and the lady this is the lady waiting to talk with you, that is when she really became rude and said, "I have turned in a service ticket you should hear from them tomorrow" (that was 10 days ago). I told her that we just wanted to sure about the differences in the 2 chairs and it would really be great if we could swap chairs if not we were just going to have return it.... That was Thursday Jan. 27th.

After not hearing from anyone for 5 days called the man that help us when we bought the chair and guaranteed that if we had problems he would be right there to make sure things were taken care of as I told him I had read bad reviews and if my husband hadn't felt the the chair was the most comfortable he had tried we wouldn't be buying from Ashley.... Well guess he lied and I should have trusted what I had read. My husband has a chair that is causing him more pain than comfort and can't even get a call from customer service to come out see what a joke the chair is. I hope this will keep someone else from making the same mistake we made.

I wouldn't recommend Ashley to anyone. Worst experience with them buying several items since the end of July 2021. During the process, we asked to return a sofa couch, kept calling every single day asking for a refund, they would tell us OK we will have someone call you the next day. The next day would come and of course, no one calls. We stayed like this for a long period, ending it with personally going to the store to get our refund for the couch that was never delivered after 6 months of waiting.

The one remaining issue has to do with a coffee table set that we had bought. It arrived a couple of months after we ordered it (which was fine), only for us to see that it has weird-looking tiny holes. The 3 of them! We did some digging and found that they are probably the work of some kind of beetle. We called and sent pictures, and were told that even if they were the work of beetles, the waxing of the table would have killed any insects. I didn't like the way they looked, so we asked for a replacement.

3 months later (which was this past Wednesday), we get the 3 new tables, only to find similar holes in them as well!!!! This is truly unprofessional. The ones we saw in the store didn't have them so we shouldn't have to accept ones that come with them. The delivery person (who wasn't affiliated with the store) said maybe it was a design. But there was no pattern whatsoever, so no it isn't part of the design. I don't care if whatever insect did it is dead, I simply don't want it.

We didn't accept the new ones and returned the ones we had. No one called (of course!) about our refund. I want to escalate. We missed several periods of time where we could've bought different tables elsewhere but with the seasonal discount. Now we don't have any tables, and no one from the store had the common decency or proficiency to follow up.

We told them they can keep it and we will NEVER purchase anything from ASHLEY again. I have purchased a full living room set before. I have talked to others about the same experience with delivery, but they were given their delivery fee back.. not TIM **!! He is rude and disrespectful to women!!

The quality of the bed I bought is great, and the in-store experience was acceptable, but the delivery is simply unacceptable, especially when it comes to communication. The original delivery was, because of understandable circumstances, scheduled ONE month after the original purchase which I accepted, then I got a call saying that it was being delayed another month, what was for me to do? Only wait, but later I received an email for me to confirm a date THEY were providing for the delivery.

I made my arrangement to stay home that day, and without any consideration, no courtesy call at all they change the delivery date almost another month later, if it weren't for the fact that I called and the answering machine let me know about the change I would have been waiting all day for nothing on top of losing one of work. I think the company feels that they are doing me a favor; therefore I have to accept any inconsideration from their part. It is a poor and disrespectful service; I will not recommend anyone to purchase anything at Ashley, even more I will do my best to discourage anyone from doing it.

We purchased a couch and Loveseat back in October 2021. We received it at the end of January 2022. (I understand there are worldwide delays on everything right now). We chose the $99 delivery option where they just bring it and you unwrap it yourself. When we unwrapped our couch new, it had a snag in the fabric of the cushion. We called Ashley immediately because you have 72 hours from the time of delivery to report any issues. They had terrible fine print on their policies. They would not do anything for us. They offered us 10% back, but taking that would null our manufactures warranty on the items, meaning if the current snag got worse, there's nothing else we can do about it.

I just asked if they could come and take this defected couch and bring us a new one, since I feel that when you pay $1000 for something brand new, it should not have any issues from day one. They said they could not do that since we chose the "cheap" $99 delivery option where they just drop it at the door and it would have chosen the $299 option- we would be covered.

The only option they gave us to rectify this issue was to pay $99 to have a tech come out to our house to look at this issue. The tech could potentially get in behind the cushion and add extra stitching to prevent further snags in this tear in the couch. But, since we did not choose a "protection plan" we would have to pay a tech $99 to come out to our house, plus a $99/ hour fee. I just do not understand how a company could sell me a defective product, and then stand behind their fine print that since I did not choose to pay extra for some lousy protection plan- there is nothing I can do about it without paying more money.

WHEN YOU PAY $1000 FOR A COUCH- YOU EXPECT IT THE FABRIC TO NOT BE SNAGGED UPON ARRIVAL. We spent hours on the phone trying to get this issues resolved. The customer services agents just kept pushing this all back on the sales staff in the stores saying "well, this seems that your sales agent should have explained this to you." LIKE YES- the salesman in the store should have explained to us that when his company sells us a brand new couch with a snag in it, that we are S.O.L. Lesson learned. Do not ever deal with a terrible company like Ashley Furniture every again!!!

Placed an order for three bedroom sets beginning of August, it is now the end of January and I still am sleeping on a mattress thrown on my floor, the reason I chose Ashley's was that they promised delivery in about one month, everyone else said about three months, the store that lied ended up making the sale, go figure. Anyways I forked out thirty thousand hard-earned dollars to sleep on my floor as not one bed has all the pieces, the manager has nothing he can offer other than one excuse after the other giving me no choice but to hire an attorney to either finish delivering the order or just give me my money back so I can buy what I need elsewhere.

I am 70 years old and thought the hard part was earning the money spending it should've been the pleasant part, boy was I wrong, you would think I was trying to buy the Hope Diamond not some bedroom sets, anyways I am at my wit's end. If anyone chooses to shop at Ashley's in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, make sure you get a contract in writing and have it notarized by an attorney so you don't get the treatment I have gotten, I have never been so disappointed dealing with a major chain store, ever, no furniture, no money, and legal fees to top everything while sleeping on the floor like the household pet.

Let me start off by saying we don’t think we are more important than anyone. We ordered our furniture at the beginning of September of 2021. We bought stuff to furnish an entire home kitchen, living room, den, master bedroom, lots of things over $15,000.00 we spent. The day of purchase we paid $7,500.00. We moved into our home at the beginning of December.

The lady we spoke to said we were only missing 2 things of our order and they were coming in the next week, said we would have to pay in full before delivery which is understandable so the next week we took a check to the Waynesboro store of the remaining balance for our order. Where we found out that we were missing 5 things not counting the ones that just came in. We called the next day or two to the warehouse about when we can get our order delivered where we found out that they were missing even more things. We asked the sales lady if they could use floor models or pull from other orders like they had done from others that had canceled orders and they made it seem as though they could later on, when asked again they just said no we had to wait.

Called again a few weeks ago to see the status on our order which they already did a split order, the rest has come in January but 2 things are coming February which we have to wait for or we could pay an extra delivery fee for which is irritating because we spent over $15,000, I don’t see why we can’t get floor pieces or anything for that matter since we spent so much and are paid in full and it’s also irritating because no one has called us updating us on the status of our order. We’ve had to call and annoy them instead. We won’t be buying from any furniture place unless we can leave with it that day. Everyone was friendly and everything we have received so far is great, it’s just annoying trying to get all of our stuff.

I bought two swivel chairs from Ashley Furniture in 2019 and bought the 5 year warranty through GBS. Within six months, the weld (cheap aluminum) on the swivel broke. To Ashley's credit, it was within one year and they quickly replaced it. About a year later (now the responsible of GBS by Protect All), both chairs failed in the same place. I began contacting GBS at that time and they pretended not to see the warranty, then blamed Ashley for not registering it, then said Ashley registered it as indoor furniture when it was outdoor furniture. After all of these claims were proven to be false, they started taking information and promising to follow-up, but never replied.

Over the past four months, I've spoken with GBS 16 times, provided them pictures/explanations five times, have been told a manual claim was filed on three separate occasions... but they never followed up. As I looked at their reviews, this seems to be fairly normal. While I think GBS is a scam, I feel Ashely shares some responsibility for using a company with such a poor track record of honoring the warranties they issue, not to mention the poor quality of these particular chairs (3 failures in 18 months).

They sent a guy out who looked at it, took pictures and left. ZERO REPAIRS. I am still livid. It is the very last time they will see any money from me. In addition, it takes weeks, sometimes months just to get your delivery because someone apparently doesn't understand logistics. The first sofa they brought in, was broken - literally broken with the arm falling off. They brought a replacement, same thing, broken on delivery. I exchanged for something different. Honestly, it's not worth the hassle anymore.

I confirmed twice with Sales Person - Jacob and one lady who scheduled for delivery date and time. So I kept my furniture as it is. When They came to my house they became mad that they have to remove my furniture. And told me it's not their headache how to remove the old furniture. They said it's their 16 number delivery, so they don't have time to disassemble old furniture. Instead they offer me that if I can disassemble myself then at best they can move old one to my garage, if I can not then they just assemble the furniture beside the old one. They were shouting all the time. I surprised that they shouting at my property inside my bedroom wow!!!.

I disagreed with them then they told me to reschedule for delivery. I asked their name and they refused and ask me why they give their name?! I told them, "You are inside my home for delivery and rude with me" then I have right to ask their name. Then they went outside of my house and shouting outside. I took one small video just to record what type of behavior they did. I closed the door and they bang my door to delete the video and shouting outside. I thought of calling 911 but then they left. When they left my house, I called ASHLEY HOME STORE to describe the situation. She also noted all my points in paper.

I am living in good neighborhood and such attitude is not acceptable at all at any cost. I have little kids and they became mentally stressed when they banged my door. I just tell it how it is. Facts are facts so I’ve been putting stuff together my whole life unlike Harvey at EFO. A grown man don’t never put nothing that came out of his mouth together but OK I know that once a screw comes out of a hole you can’t put it back in the same hole. If that’s the case I would’ve done it. If I didn’t spend money on the dresser I would superglue the screw into the hole so how are they going to come here and replace the tracking. That doesn’t make any sense. So basically I would’ve had to make new holes and then the drawers will be all uneven. Yeah that should make sense.

Spend money you don’t have. Take care of your furniture and it breaks and then they refuse to give you a new one or maybe I should ask them to replace my money but I know that will never happen. Ashley should be put out of business. I have a couch from them. You put your arm on the armrest and it’s like cardboard and wood. It’s horrible. Everything they make is garbage. The dishonesty of Ashley is deplorable, I want the sale is halted before movement, a price $2000 above others is nothing less than price gouging. I refuse to pay a random $500 cancellation fee. The contract and Ashley management says "I may have to pay a fee" now to refuse to buy their product, just because I discovered a price gouge. I asked the sales associate if I don't like the way the rug looks in my home or if it might be too small or too large am I able to exchange it, the sales associate stated there is NO PROBLEM at all to exchange it and to bring the rug at any time. I said then ok let me see which ones work in my home and whichever doesn't work I will bring them back to the store.

I received my order and loved three of them and decided to go ahead and exchange the other rugs and the GENERAL manager was there. I waited 45 minutes until she finally acknowledged me but stated that she couldn't help me yet because he was assisting someone else which that person was waiting an hour for her to help him. She takes WAY too long to assist customers in anything they may ask for and is not good at her job. I asked her very briefly, "I know you are helping someone but can you please bring someone to help me exchange this rug" and she proceeded to tell me, "We do not exchange any rugs here at the store."

I began to let her know that another sales associate said I could. She said "Well I can't help you right now because I'm assisting another person". I then said then find someone who can. I told her I've already been waiting 45 minutes, I let her know that, "I need to get my kids from school in 20 minutes will you be done by then." She said no. I told her then please get someone who can help.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I can't believe someone let that person become a manager where she clearly doesn't know how to do her job correctly and in a timely manner. She needs to learn how to MANAGE her time better. I was extremely unhappy with my visit here and I think this specific manager needs to be retrained at her job. She also needs to let her sales associate know what can or cannot be returned/exchanged at the store. This is very poor customer service skills and I would appreciate a call from the customer service representative about this whole entire situation.

No contact from them at all afterward and in early June I called and was told the delivery was pushed back to 6-8 weeks from then. 6-8 weeks go by and they say the same thing. This happens a few more times. Finally, I received half of it (the chaise) at the end of November. The other half (sofa sleeper) was damaged so I refused delivery. They scheduled redelivery of the sleeper sofa but then they canceled it without explanation an hour before. I had to call them to find out what happened. They said they didn't have it in stock and that it was back-ordered but could be delivered in a couple of weeks. They said they said they tagged the previous one as broken and would get me the new item when it got to the warehouse.

The delivery was then scheduled and when the date came, they tried to redeliver the same broken item. It was taken out of the packaging and placed on the truck with no padding or protection (not even plastic wrap). I refused it a second time and when scheduling the delivery by phone I again asked specifically for them to make sure to send a new item in the original packaging next time. Finally, I received an item that was packaged and after they brought it upstairs and unwrapped it, it was clear it was the same broken (and now dirty and scuffed up) item, just repackaged to look new. In late 2016, my wife and I purchased a sofa and loveseat from Ashley. We spent more money than we wanted and got "higher quality" furniture than we'd ever purchased in the past. We also purchased their "No use/No Lose" warranty. Less than a year later the sofas started to collapse. The padding in the spring-reinforced cushions degraded to the point that the seats were visibly misshapen. The back of the couch, which was essentially an under stuffed pillow, also collapsed. Let me be clear here, and state that neither my wife nor I are large people. I weigh under 180 and my wife, under 150 punds. Under normal use, with average-sized people, these sofas lasted less than a year!! Within two years, I purchased a recliner (not from Ashley) because the sofa was unusable.

Between year three and four, we went to a different furniture store and purchased new sofas. There was a delay in delivery (covid), and it took over a year to get the new couches. About 6 months through that fourth year of owning these wonderful, quality items, we dragged our crappy old furniture out of the basement and took the Ashley furniture to the dump. Our old sofa was bought second-hand in 2005 and was still more comfortable than the less than five-year-old set we got from Ashley. Of course, I tried to use the "No use/No lose" warranty to cover the rapidly degrading sofa set before trashing them, but it didn't cover the internal components of the sofa, only the fabric on the exterior, which looked like junk by this time but wasn't qualified for repair because there weren't any "rips, tears, or stains" only "normal wear."

Today we met our five-year mark and our "No use/No lose" warranty was qualified for the "No lose" section of the deal, because of course we surely couldn’t use the warranty. Let me assure you it was a lose-lose situation. In order to use the $130 we spent on the warranty we had to spend $499 on new Ashley merchandise. Of course, the lady who greeted us at the door didn't tell us that, the salespeople we originally purchased the couches from didn't tell us that and we were only informed of it when we tried to purchase a set of $170 sheets (because we literally couldn't find anything else in the store that wasn't over-priced or of horrible quality—not that $170 for sheets isn’t over-priced but at least it was something we could use).

In short, DO NOT BUY FROM Ashley! They sell junk that won't hold up, and they will not, I REPEAT WILL NOT! honor their warranty. Save yourself a heap of trouble and buy from a different store. I don't care if you buy from Ikea or Hom or Costco, I can assure you you'll get a better product and better customer service.

I’ve been spun in circles for 2 months from Ashley Furniture trying to get someone on the phone to help me and have failed miserably as I literally call them several times a day. I ordered a sectional which I was told would take 8-12 weeks lead time and I agreed to this. Yet 2 days later I was called to schedule delivery. 3 days later a sectional was delivered but they didn’t have my chaise lounge. After multiple calls someone named Maureen at the warehouse told me they have it and will be delivering it to me.

When delivered this chaise lounge doesn’t fit properly like it’s the wrong side chaise lounge. I called for a repair and someone came out weeks later telling me it’s unacceptable and to give them 48 hours to update the notes before calling guest services. I waited and called daily to find out that the repairman left notes saying no repair was needed and it was acceptable which is not the truth. It isn’t acceptable. The pieces don’t fit together and there is a 2 inch gap on the backs of the couch that is supposed to be flush with each other.

Guest services told me I should cry and just deal with it because they are not going to replace, repair or refund me and I am stuck with it. I kept on calling the store and was given the run around as to who I need to speak to. Apparently Wade is the employee I need to speak to but he is busier than the president and has not called me back. Frustrated is an understatement and I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE AGAIN!!!

We purchased a $3,200 Tempurpedic mattress from Ashley Furniture in Farmingdale, NY. We were told by the store manager, Daryl, that our old mattress would be removed when the new one was delivered. The day of the delivery, the driver told my girlfriend they aren't required to remove the mattress, and refused to do it. We've attempted to contact the store and address it with Daryl, but he doesn't return our calls. I contacted their main office and they won't do anything since it's a "store issue" not a company one. Now I have to figure out how to dispose of the mattress. Ashley trains their managers and puts them in charge of a store location, but then won't stand behind them when they provide bad info. I won't be shopping at Ashley for furniture in the future.

Horrible service since I purchased my love seat and sofa from the McComb Mississippi Ashley’s location. I was verbally told my order would be here before Christmas 2021. In November 2021, I called to inquire about delivery and the Automated system told me it would not arrive until March 2022. I contacted the store manager and he said he would see if the Gonzales La. location would have a love seat in stock that they can deliver to me but the coach will not be in till March 2022. I was ok with that as long as I had something to sit on before Christmas.

On December 8, 2021, the love seat was set up and delivered. Within 5 mins of the delivery truck leaving, I started noticing the love seat didn’t look new. I decided to contacted the Gonzales La. location to voice my concerns and the lady stated I would have to call the store where I purchased it from. My concerns grew stronger and I decided to review my home security cameras when I noticed the delivery guys had just let the headset of the love seat hit the ground which is concrete and keep in mind it rained the day before. One of the guys looked back towards my front door to see if I was looking.

I then called the McComb Ms. store where I could hear someone picking up the phone without saying anything and putting me on hold. I got tired of holding on and I decided to drive from Tickfaw, La. to McComb Ms. to speak to the manager. The manager then stated it was out of his control since it’s been delivered and I would have to call customer service. I reached out to customer service where I was told to email them the photos of the damage to the love seat.

The gentleman that answered after I emailed them the photos said he would send me a new love seat. The new love seat was scheduled for delivery on December 21, 2021 and wasn’t delivered. I was sent a new text to accept a new date and I selected December 24, 2021. Realizing that was Christmas Eve, I decided to call Customer Service and switch it to December 27, 2021. Needless to say delivery did not show up and I received another text request for me to select another delivery date. I’m confident I will receive another text on December 31, 2021 the date of delivery, I will be sent another text requesting for me to select another day! This is the worse customer service I have ever had not to mention unprofessional and doesn’t honor their mission statement.

I dodged a bullet with this one based on the overwhelming reviews that are not flattering to this company. In late October, I ordered a coffee table and was told that because of supply chain delays, it would be another 4 weeks before delivery and was given an expected date of November 22 between the hours of 6am and 10 am. Just as others have stated, days before you are inundated with text messages confirming delivery, which was done on more than 1 occasion. The day prior (a Sunday), I receive a call confirming a PICK UP. I corrected the individual that I had a DELIVERY scheduled. I explained that several automated text messages days prior clearly stated that our business the next morning was a delivery and gave him invoice #, etc.

By 7 am, someone arrives at my home for a PICK UP as if my contact and conversation with them the day prior was completely ignored. I even showed them my paperwork. The driver called the office to explain the situation and gave me the phone to speak with their office. Of course I was upset, and asked them to explain how did this happen and to correct it immediately in the next day or so since they obviously had the item in stock. She apologized and told me it was NOT in stock anymore since “items were distributed on a first come first serve basis”. I could not understand how they could give away an item that was accounted for is “sold and delivered” to another customer when I’ve waited a month with a confirmed date. She had no response but to say someone would call me back that day with a new date.

After 24 hours with no outreach to me with a new delivery date, I returned to the store of my purchase to explain what occurred with this sale. The mgr looked in the system and saw that a new date for delivery was set for like 12/7 and that wasn’t guaranteed. At that point I had enough and cancelled (with no penalty) as I was in no mood to be strung along like this after they had my money. After reading so many reviews here how customers were delivered damaged or incomplete items with no real interest in meeting a minimal standard of adequate customer service and with sone cases, being charged hundreds of dollars to cancel an order, the best thing to do is stay away from this **.

I asked if I could return everything because they sold my item (that I paid cash for). He told me yes and then change his mind and told me if I brought anything back he would throw it in the trash! I paid cash for my dining room set and used the no interest option on the Theater room seating.. Mistake, I have now been charged 5 times and received 1 of 2 theater seats.

I have spent countless hours on the phone and this is still screwed up. Went to the store only to be yelled out by the store manager Roy. I was told people make mistakes and I should be patient, instead of saying sorry and they will correct the problem. I was told that it would be straightened out only to see another purchase appear on my account a week later. Total purchase was 3400 and they have now billed my account 8300. Their phone system is a joke. Ask them a question they put you on hold and never return. This is absolutely the worst buying experience of my life!!! Also the cushions are sinking in not to mention the creaking of the new frame. We were sent new covers plus 2 cushions. Within 2 months the same issues are happening AGAIN! I called Ashley to file another complaint to get this resolved. They sent out another tech who pretty much told me there's really nothing Ashley can do. I emailed again on 8/17/2020. Email him again 8/18/2020. Delivery now is not until the end of October. I email him again 9/7/2020 No response again. On 10/1/2020 I emailed him, "Call me now."

On 10/2/2020 he sends an invoice again with no updated changes, financing on Synchrony or the price. On 10/7/2020 he emails that he will take off $150. In November 3 pieces of the four show up. 4th piece was always next week, but it did arrive in December, but missing the feet. Had to call and explain that to Ashley Furniture. Later in December, feet show up.

We are paying on what I was originally told a 12 month no interest financing Beginning in 1/2021. I began calling Ashley Furniture toll free to get these things handled such as the financing terms. I had called multiple times, had multiple tickets created, multiple promises that someone will call Back and not a thing. We paid this furniture off, not to mention over-charged to begin with in 7 months. Now Synchrony has charge interest because Ashley Furniture never updated. Here it is 12/15/2021 over a year later and not one person has done the simple request to contact Synchrony bank and update the finance terms. Now Synchrony is just charging us interest and have stated all they need is an update from Ashley Furniture to fix this.

Wanting to replace my entire living room with new furniture, I decided to go to Ashley's thinking it had well-made furniture. When being helped by the salesman, I told him that I needed a sofa, love seat, and oversized chair that would last and not break down. I was looking for leather. I was pointed to a product that I purchased and was told that it would last forever because it had springs in the cushions, and they wouldn't break down. This was important to me, as I have a back issue and to him this.

When they finally delivered my furniture, there was a large scrape on the back of my oversized chairs that they tried to cover up. I requested it either be exchanged or fixed. It took almost 9 months, and it wasn't until I called to find they sent the new fabric to the wrong address. When I finally received the leather to the chair and the tech came out to fix the chair, I asked him about my sofa and loveseat; the cushions were already breaking down less than 6 months after ordering (not received, ordered). The tech informed me that there are no springs in the cushions.

I called and spoke to the customer service manager, and they were to send someone out. The tech came out to look at my coffee table that was bubbling and to look at the cushions. After waiting several months of not hearing anything, I went into the store and spoke with the manager. Evidently, the store had been part of a franchise and they broke apart. They had no information on anything. They said they didn't take any of the paperwork with the separation. The manager told me he would call me back at the end of the week... He promised!! I laughed at that because I knew that he was just blowing smoke. It has now been almost 3 weeks and I am still waiting for that promised call.

I called corporate and they said they can't get into my information because the Salem store has it locked. They are referring me to the upper management and from there I don't know what will happen. Everyone keeps saying that it's been over 12 months, but what they don't see is that I didn't receive my furniture until months later and I have called several times to get the repairs. No one is taking responsibility for their poor products.

Both ends of the mattress were downwards as they did not inflate properly and the middle of the bed was a mountain. Can you imagine trying to sleep on something like this?? IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE. I gave it time, in hopes that it would inflate properly. That never happened.

I called again and at this point I wanted a refund. Can you imagine not being able to sleep on a bed for months after paying thousands of dollars for a mattress??? And to receive terrible customer service on top of that, it was heartbreaking. They said it was policy to not issue refunds on mattresses purchased online. I said to them, "How can you say this when this is your mistake, not once but twice." They were extremely rude and had no care for my suffering. I was emotionally exhausted and began to have back pain from not sleeping well. They did not care! I was forced to wait for a tech to come to my home and inspect the second defective mattress which took a couple of weeks. After the tech came, he agreed the mattress was defective and said I would get a call from Ashley's with further instructions. I never received a call. Instead they emailed.

I called and they said, "Oh we have to schedule another delivery and I would have to wait another month to receive the third mattress." I said to them please, is there any way I can get my money back. I need to purchase a bed now. I can't keep doing this. I'm in pain. I was told NO. Then a month later I get a call from Ashley's to confirm my third mattress delivery and they say to me... "Oh give me a minute I see a problem." Turned out, the mattress was suddenly discontinued!! I MEAN ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! I was forced to wait months to receive these mattresses and for a tech to come to my home for them to tell me its been discontinued. I lost it!! I cried and told them I could not do this anymore.

Then I was told I would get a refund within 5 business days. I was so relieved. I then asked, "When can you pick up this mattress?" She said, "We can't pick up a defective mattress. You have to get rid of it or donate it." Not only did they force me to wait in pain, now I was being forced to dispose of a mattress myself when it was their mistake. Truly unbelievable. At this point, I just wanted to be done with this so I agreed.

Now, it is almost two weeks after the supposed refund I never received. I called again and I was told there was a pick up scheduled and that my refund did not go through. I said to them, "What the hell is going on over there. How could you possible do this to someone." What if I had listened and donated the mattress as I was told to do? She transferred me to yet another supervisor who appeared to actually care. He said to me we will issue a refund 14 days after the mattress is received/invoiced which will take 3-4 days. He said he apologized for my experience with Ashley's and said he documented everything in my acct. and provided a case file.

I said to him, "I do not believe anything I hear from any of you." I have been continuously lied to by "supervisors and employees" who do not document properly and enforce these "policies" with blatant disregard for the customers safety, both physical and mental. Clearly they do not know what they are doing. They all need to be retrained. They have horrible customer service. I cant believe Ashely Furniture is ok with their customers being treated this way. Every single person I spoke to was the worst of the worst, except the last supervisor and employee.

I hate that employees don't do proper documentation and treat people this way. There has to be exceptions to these policy's when its their mistake. Also, Ashley Furniture needs to audit their incoming phone calls and get rid of the employees giving terrible customer service. I've had better service going to the 99cent store than Ashley Furniture. It's been such a horrible experience.

It was not leather but they told us it was the next thing to it and very durable, and if we bought the 5 year Protection Plan with it we would never have a problem! WRONG!! They said it would cover cuts, peeling, etc! After 4 years it started peeling and when we called they said they no longer covered that sofa and could not do anything! We called the home office but the President would not call us back! The only thing they offered was a store credit of about $200! How is that going to help when you have a sectional?! My husband and I are on social security; and my husband is a Veteran and this is what you get!! I would never recommend this furniture store!! Be careful!!

They told us that we have to sleep on it for 30 days before we can return it. After 30 days we went to the store to get it exchange and the manager David said they can't because we didn't buy a mattress protector from them at the time of purchase.

We were never told that we had to purchase a mattress protector from Ashley for the warranty. We purchase one from Walmart but they would not accept that. We are going back and forth with customer service and the store manager. Now we are stuck with a $1600 mattress. We furnish our entire house with Ashley Furniture and this is unacceptable. We will never shop at Ashley again and will never recommend anyone to Ashley ever again. This is TERRIBLE AND RIDICULOUS!!!

Terrible company! Do not buy from this horrible store! They will give false promises for a sale then come up with every excuse in the world as to why they can never deliver! Bait and switch with delivery dates just to make a sale! Purchased 6 separate furniture pieces from Ashley on 8/1. We were told all items would all be delivered no later than 8/24 but they hoped the delivery date would be as early as 8/10. 8/24 came and went. No call, email, or delivery. On 8/28 we went back to the store and were told, "Oh your delivery is now scheduled for 11/1." How do you add an extra 2 months without contacting the customer? Customer service acted like our issue was not important. The excuse given was "due to Ashley having a sale, the inventory is assessed after the sale ends and that causes delivery dates to change." She said there was nothing else to do but wait for it.

8/29 we return to cancel our order. We wait 20 minutes for customer service. One lady was working, while the same lady from the day before, drank her coffee. She addressed us and said she couldn't help us until the other person finished on that one computer. Hmm... we wait and another lady comes to help us. We told her about the delay on our furniture and we wanted to cancel our order (over $2000). She hurried to get the manager, and he promised delivery, 4 pieces will be delivered by 9/1 and the other 2 by 10/10.

9/1, the 4 items arrived. A customer should not have to cancel an order to get the item delivered. 9/9, receive a VM about scheduling our delivery for the last 2 pieces. Returned the call 5 minutes later and was told that was a mistake as our last 2 pieces will not be in until Nov 11/20. 11/19, email received with delivery time from 12:45-4:45 on 11/20. Several hours later, Ashley called to tell us although our delivery was scheduled, it was yet again a mistake and have now been rescheduled for 4/13. We are done waiting and have applied for a refund. We will never buy from this company again! Avoid them if you actually want furniture in your home. They will lie to make a sale. Speaking with other people, this is a common practice for Ashley and has been going on for years. Buyer beware!

This was the worst customer service purchasing experience that I've ever gone through. My husband and I purchased a new sectional and ottoman for a new room. It was purchased on May 2nd 2021. We were told by the salesman that our couch and ottoman would be received within 10 weeks. First delivery date was middle of June then it was delayed for July delivery then August then September then it was supposed to be delivered in October then in October we were told it would be delivered on November 24th the day before Thanksgiving, that is tomorrow.

I called to find out when it was gonna be delivered only to be told it would be another 10 to 14 weeks. All I got from corporate customer service and local customer service was, "Just go to the store and pick out new items. You'll have to pay $250 to $500 to cancel current order before selecting new items," why would I do that, does that make sense to anybody? Then I was told that she was sorry but she couldn't EXPEDITE the order. I'm like, "How is it expediting when I've already been waiting seven months for the furniture and now you're telling me 14 more weeks." Why would I buy anything more from Ashley's? I will never purchase from Ashley's again.

I will tell all my friends and family not to purchase from them. They lie and mislead customers and that telling you that items they cannot deliver to you if you cancel the order you'll have to pay anywhere from $250 to $500 to cancel an order. That's already been over the delivery date by six times. We are now we are now delayed a seventh time and it could come in February of 2022 or it can come in in April in 2022 and since this was purchased on May 2nd 2021 nobody is doing anything to make it right other than telling me to cancel the order, pay $250 to $500 and select new items from their showroom. Seriously people. Do not buy from Ashley's. They are liars. They get their money. They get their commission up front and you get no furniture. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Don't shop there.

When Logan notified me that the rug was delayed 11/11/21 I sent him a text to remove it from the order. (They only answer if you are buying.) When my kids picked it up the rug was in the order. Now, it is my responsibility to prove I asked to remove the item. Their store and rep, I'm sure, received some referral credit for my 4,800 purchase at Mathis Bros. So, that should lend me credibility with my request that Logan remove that rug from my ticket.

The rug is sold as is, no refund. Yet, at point of sale I was assured there were only 2-3 left in warehouse, not that dusty rug on the showroom floor which I would have NEVER AGREED to PAY That kind of money. Ashley has always been a distinguished furniture brand, the shady crew cheapens the name. The young business administration graduate supervisors must learn that policy and guidelines are tools to make decisions to protect the company and satisfy customer relations. Obviously, there's not much confidence in what they are selling or return policy would allow enough time to get the merchandise set up at home. I hope that $200 serves Jacob and Logan’s monthly goals well because it will be cold below before I shop there again or recommend a friend.

A second manager appeared saying that I could, asking if I could return to the store in few days to pick it up (said they were doing inventory). They took the item into a back room where it sat. When I returned the staff could not find it, ended up waiting 15-20 mins. The poor warehouse guy searched around and then 'happened' to find a manager who said, "Oh yeah, it's in my office". I don't know what internal processes Ashley has put in place, but from my perspective as a customer they simply stuck the item in a corner and did nothing specific with it. This seems like internal process run amok, at the expense of the customer's time and convenience. Suggest that they look at a stronger customer focus rather than strange and inconsistent internal processes which equally frustrate customers and in-store staff.

Basically the bed cannot be used without terrible metallic squeaking sounds from it. This is clearly a design flaw as the bed does not have wooden slats and instead just has 3 very thin metallic slats. I had also bought a matching dresser with the bed and now I am stuck with both. Equally disappointed in the customer service as they simply said "noise is not covered under warranty". I paid for the brand quality, I trusted in the Ashley brand name and I have totally been let down. And the brand doesn't even want to take any action on such a big design flaw.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE AT ASHLEY*** I have never written a review, whether it was a great experience or poor one, but I had to express how awful and stressful this experience was to save any future customer the dismay that is involved when purchasing from Ashley Homestore. I bought $9,000 worth of furniture including a mattress, couch, ottoman, kitchen table with chairs & bench, dresser, and bed frame back in August 2021. My apartment wasn't going to be available until October, but it was recommended by the salesman to order ASAP as the furniture could sell out beforehand and if I had a place to store it, that would be best. I decided to store it in my boyfriend's parents' garage in the meantime.

The first delivery came, including the couch, kitchen table and chairs, dresser, bed frame and mattress and everything... I mean everything, besides the mattress.. every single item was damaged. All of the boxes were ripped open and wet when delivered. We tried to send it back, but the delivery drivers said to call a number they gave us to schedule an exchange. Well, that was a mistake. I fought with Ashley customer service because they said it was my fault for accepting the damaged items, even though the delivery drivers told me to do that... (at this point the bed frame has not been put together.)

I FINALLY was able to get an exchange.. and at this point I moved into my apartment.. Then there was an issue because I had a different address. After arguing with customer service, they agreed to come to my new address. They exchanged the couch and dresser, but all of the new chairs and bench were damaged, so I did not exchange them.. I am still currently waiting on undamaged chairs.

So, I finally go to put my bed frame together, since it has been sitting in a box in the garage for a few months and realize that not only is the footboard broken, but so are the legs that hold up wooden slats for the mattress. I call Ashley again to exchange this item, but they said they are unable to exchange because I had accepted it, even though the bed frame was not put together until I moved into my apartment, they still would not exchange it. I am still waiting on someone to come out to service this item. I was told by customer service that because I moved all of my furniture from my boyfriend's parents' garage, to my new apartment, that the warranty that I had bought is now void... even though the salesman said I should purchase it and store it somewhere.

This experience was the worst thing I have ever gone through when purchasing something. I wish I had spent a little extra and bought from Raymour and Flanigan or Bobs furniture or even Amazon. Any other place, but Ashley. I cannot express how awful this experience was and if this review saves just one person from the headache, then I have done my part.

From that she knew that the chair was sold to me 5 years, 3 months ago. The warranty on the tilt/swivel mechanism was only 5 years.

Somewhat dismayed, I asked her how much the replacement parts would cost. She said she'd need to initiate an order to find out and took my name and address. She then asked me if I'd like the order number. I replied, "Yes, but what was the cost?" She replied zero! She/Ashley was sending them to me for free even though they were out of warranty. The parts showed up four days later. I installed them, and the chair is now as good as new. This is outstanding customer service and product support! Thanks, Ashley!

Called customer care and the lady was rude, unhelpful and wanted to charge us to get it fixed. Asked for the manager and he was even worse. He actually hung up on us. Nothing has been resolved. We purchased a Serta Hybrid Artic from the Lakeland, FL store. We paid $3499 for this mattress thinking we bought the top of the line. They make you buy an outrageously priced mattress cover ($250) and their bunky board or box spring, to ensure you get and keep the warranty and 90 days sleep guarantee. We’ve had it now for 4 weeks and this mattress is a NIGHTMARE. It hurts our shoulders, our hips and our backs. It hurts my back so badly that I can barely walk at times. I’ve been to the doctors twice, I’ve missed work, we cannot sleep and Ashley Furniture has been terrible. Like so many others, you call customer service and they tell you to call the store. You call the store and they tell you to call customer service. One person tells you there is no exchanges or guarantee, the next person tells you that you have to keep the mattress 31 days. I can’t keep sleeping on this mattress.

We have no where else to sleep and we’re afraid to move the mattress off the bed frame because God help us if it gets a spot on it. Now that the 31 days is almost here, we’re being told we have to pay $310 or return the mattress ourselves because we got we “chose” free delivery. We didn’t choose free delivery, we were told delivery was free. So we have to pay for their defective product that came with a so called guarantee. We have furnished an entire home at Ashley Furniture in the past year. We experienced minor delivery issues, but this is unacceptable. I will never do business with them again.

Well, I will use this a lesson AND a blessing and bless someone who truly is in need of a mattress and give it to them. Still have furniture to be repaired. Have sat home on numerous occasions missing work and they were a no call/no show for delivery/repairs. They have lost orders and damage claims. They accept no responsibility for their actions. I was told Chad Spencer is the owner of by the corporate offices of Ashley. I have left two voicemails for Chad and he has not returned my calls.

Asked for Ashley to pick up furniture, replace front door, and return our money. They refuse to do it based on their return policy. They have no customer service policy that they can share or produce. They have nowhere on their website to leave a review and I know why. They would go out of business if they did. I made the woeful mistake of purchasing a table and chair set and a sofa from Ashley Furniture. Never again. First, the quality of the product received was beyond inexcusable for how expensive it was. Not only is the furniture made out of cheap materials from China but you have to put it together yourself. This would be fine if not for the terrible experience that followed.

Immediately after putting together the chairs regardless of how we screwed in the legs they would wobble uncontrollably. I was worried they would break when guests used them and was constantly screwing them in to prevent such a thing from occurring, until it did. Less than a month after receiving the product one of the chairs snapped underneath my guest. I put the chair in the guest room and was willing to waive it as being me incorrectly assembling the furniture knowing that if I wanted a refund I was told at the store the purchase came with a year-long warranty. I was clearly lied to.

After months of screwing chairs in I decided I finally had enough and went in-person to the store so I could request either a store credit or refund for the cheaply made product. As it was still less than 6 months old I thought that would be permissible. They told me that in order to process a refund a technician had to come and told me they would be calling within a week. Not only did they not call, but they also did not send a technician or follow-up. I went back to the store and was told they could not do anything on their end as it was up to corporate. They gave me a phone number which I called for an entire week and was put on hold from 9AM-5PM. One day I finally got through and they hung up on me immediately. That was the moment I decided they would never be getting my business again.

Instead of trying phone calls, I opted to chat online where the customer support agent told me I did not qualify for a refund because there is a 30-day limit. How I was supposed to get that refund when it took more than 3 months for them to respond to me I have no idea. They told me that a technician was never scheduled to begin with and scheduled one out. They said the technician had to check the furniture in order for me to qualify for a refund. However, a week later when the technician arrived I was told that if he worked on the furniture at all I would not qualify for a refund so I would have to deny service. The extent of service he offered to provide was SCREWING IN THE CHAIR LEGS. With that information, I told him I did not want him to work on the furniture. The follow-up email I received a week later told me that I did not qualify for an exchange because I refused service.

I went back to the store and was told yet again that someone would reach out to me. This time someone from the corporate office finally did. They agreed that the situation was confusing and inappropriate then told me they would work on getting my furniture picked up and providing a full refund or store credit. The following day I was sent an email saying my refund request was denied and I was called by an employee who told me yet again that I did not qualify for a refund. Like clockwork, they offered to send a technician out. Buying from this company feels like a personal hell, the world's worst groundhog day that I'm doomed to repeat for eternity. Even their employees sound frustrated by corporate's nonsensical policies. If you're reading this, please avoid this company like the plague.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! When I was looking for a couch I ignored the complaints about Ashley because the prices were so cheap. Trust me on this, if I could go back I would spend the extra money on a QUALITY couch from a company that actually cares. Here is only part of my story...

My couch was scheduled to be delivered from 6-8 pm on October 16th. Instead, and without any heads up, the delivery company attempted to deliver my couch 3 hours early when I was not home. When I missed the delivery, I had to wait until Monday (October 18th) to call to schedule a new delivery time. I was told the couch would be delivered October 26th. The day before my new scheduled delivery, I received an email requesting that I confirm the new delivery time. When I clicked "confirm" I received an error message. I then tried to click confirm on a different device thinking I was having internet issues, but no. Same error message.

I then tried to call the number in the email to make sure my delivery window was confirmed. I sat on hold for 30 minutes only to be disconnected. I tried again and waited another 30 minutes only to be hung up on. I called back AGAIN only for someone to tell me that my couch was now scheduled to be delivered on DECEMBER 3RD. I was furious, but mainly confused since I knew my couch was at Ashley's warehouse and I was JUST told it would be delivered the next day.

I then drove to Ashley furniture to speak with someone at the office since I was getting nowhere with the customer service department. The salesman (Chris **) reviewed the delivery notes and was also confused why my delivery date was moved. He then told me that the outside company they use for their customer service department gets paid by the amount of calls they answer, which explains why I was hung up on several times. He then said he would put in an emergency rush ticket and I should get my couch by the end of last week and the delivery company would reach out.

I called 2 days later after never hearing anything only to be told to call back the next day. I tried calling the customer service number when I couldn't get ahold of Chris only to be told my couch was now scheduled to be delivered DECEMBER 11TH. I've tried reaching out to Chris several times with no response. I completely understand covid delays, but this is not a covid delay, nor has anyone at Ashley indicated that this is a covid delay. This is an Ashley delay and from reading other reviews, this is not a rare occurrence. Please save yourself the frustration and buy your furniture elsewhere. Side note - The part of my couch that was delivered in July of this year is already squeaking/creaking when someone sits on it, which shows how poor the quality is.

We are extremely dissatisfied with our overall experience purchasing furniture at Ashley Furniture. I own and operate a psychology practice in York, PA. We ordered a suite of office furniture, making selections in the local Ashley Furniture store on Arsenal Rd. in York. We were told the furniture would arrive within 6 weeks of the date of purchase. We placed the order on 8/11/2021 and it never arrived.

We had extremely poor customer service from the representative who took the call we placed to the store to inquire as to the ETA on the furniture. The call was then transferred to the store manager, Tammy who advised that a) the chairs we ordered had been discontinued; b) the desk and bookcase may not arrive until sometime in 2022 (she could not provide a more specific ETA) and c) they would charge a $700 fee to issue a refund. The desk actually arrived this weekend but was severely and irreparably damaged (the corner of the desk looked as though it had been smashed).

I called to apprise the manager (Tammy) of the damaged desk. I requested a full refund for the furniture. Tammy stated that a refund would not be possible citing a policy that there is a 72-hour window for returns upon delivery. Not only was Tammy incredibly rude and unapologetic, the sales terms and rules refund policy does not specify any policy regarding a 72-hour window for refund requests. She stated that she would not be able to help me and I should "go ahead and call corporate." When I advised that we would be filing with small claims court she stated that she would not speak to me any longer and hung up on me.

We paid in full for our furniture at the time of purchase in the amount of $2428.45. We received a partial refund totaling $610.96 for the discontinued chairs but the remaining $1817.49 has not been refunded. I placed a call to the corporate office and waited on hold for 2 hours before the call was suddenly disconnected. It seems that we will have to take legal action in order to recoup our money. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a furniture store. This is utterly unacceptable. BUYER BEWARE!

My experience with Ashley once I left the store has been nothing short of a nightmare. I wish I could go back in time and chose a different store to buy from. We financed 8k worth of furniture from Ashley. We had a sectional, chair, coffee table, end table along with a dinning room table, chairs & bench. We were told the sofa console and dining room chairs wouldn't get here until mid November. Okay no big deal for us. Wasn't too big of a deal when the available pieces took longer than we we're told. The problem started when the other furniture was delivered.

The sectional that came had the wrong side chase. The dining room table, coffee table and end table were all damaged so now we won't get a replacement until mid November as well. When I called Ashley to ask how this will affect our billing cycle seeing that we were missing a lot of our pieces. I was told I shouldn't get a bill until I receive all the pieces but if I did to contact Ashley so they can adjust it. Shortly after that conversation I received a bill in the mail with a November 3rd due date. Naturally I followed the instructions I was given & contacted Ashley. For over of week it's been a game of (NOT IT). No one but the people at option 3 can help me. Unfortunately for me option 3 doesn't believe in answering their phone. The phone rings once and then goes silent, after a period of holding it hangs up. Then the cycle repeats when you call back.

Finally on 10/27 I get through to someone from option 3 and she tells me that Ashley can start collecting even if you don't have all your furniture. I tell her this is not what I was told when I purchased our furniture or when I called to report the damages. She then tells me I need to call the very same number I used to reach her and select option 3. I tell her, "That is exactly what I did and it has taken me to you." I told her I felt I was being given the run around by Ashley b/c everyone is saying they can't help but they aren't providing me with any numbers that can.

They keep giving me the same number and telling me to select option 3 but now option 3 is saying they can't help. She suggested that I physically go to the store to handle this issue. At this point I'm left with no other options. The customer service at Ashley is the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I want very much to give back the pieces I do have and be done with them. I'd rather have no furniture and sit on the floor than have to deal with this level of unprofessionalism. Do yourself a favor and avoid this frustration.

And now these are going flat after 2 months. Our living room table - the hardware on the two bottom doors literally fell apart one day when I pulled them open. ( They sent a tech out and he sent us new hardware for only 1 door. I replaced it and it still won't close right. Now they don't want to honor a replacement for either purchase...)

Less than 4 months old, our bedroom set we purchased. On the first delivery one dresser came damaged and the installer tried to super glue some leg bolts in right before I double-checked on them, (how stupid) I refused it and they returned it and sent out another one and this one already has the handles falling off due to stripped screws when they put it together. We had a technician come out out after a month of asking and 2 months later it is still NOT fixed.

Our Tempurpedic split king feels NOTHING like it did when we laid on the one they have in the showroom floor. We have talked to several people at Ashley and Tempurpedic and nobody will help. Both were supposed to be medium and both feel no better than sleeping on the floor. When I asked the manager at Ashley prior to purchase he said we have a 90 day sleep trial and that if we were not happy we could exchange it plus a small return exchange fee. I was fine with that. They did not honor anything at all. Keep in mind again that we purchased just over 12,000 worth of home furnishings.

I have been to the doctors twice because of upper body aching not even thinking it was my 6,000 Tempurpedic bed that was supposed to cure all body aches. Turns out it was, and neither Ashley or Tempurpedic want to help out in anyway. They have a sign in the store that says it's their goal to me the customer/guest happy but in reality all they want is your money for crappy product. Ashley furniture will NEVER get our business and if we can help it, none of our family or friends business ever again. Buyer beware... All sales are final...

Hands down this is the worst furniture store ever....Where is Levitz (the best furniture company I ever shopped with)? Ashley Furniture is all about making money not about satisfaction of customers. They will tell you what you want to hear and show you what you want. However they don't have it in stock...something they neglect to tell you until you have paid them. I ordered a bed back in the beginning of September and after payment I was told they don't have all the pieces in stock and it will delay my delivery. Seriously...What the hell type of rubbish is that?

After 2 weeks of hearing nothing from them, I called and called and no one answered the phone. On hold for 30 plus minutes and still no live representative. I had to drive all the way out to the store and ask them what is the problem and when will I get my stuff? Or do I need a refund? Upon hearing refund, it is funny how my order would be shipped out within a week. I received it last week. Stupid me tried them out again during their 50% + additional 5% (55%off) total sale and picked out a couch set last weekend. It was due to be delivered today (7 days later)....

However upon delivery time the driver informed me that he only had one piece to the couch set and that customer service should have called and informed me of the partial delivery. They never called me and I agreed to taking the partial delivery until they opened the box and the wrong color couch was inside. The driver immediately called the warehouse and I could hear them clear as day on speaker phone telling the driver that what they delivered is what I ordered and I told the driver she is lying cause I have pictures of what I had ordered and paid for. I showed the driver the pictures and he shook his head and apologized. The driver told me that someone from customer care would call me shortly....and that was 3 hours ago and I am still waiting for that call.

Within 20 minutes of him stating that and pulling off with the wrong order, I called customer service myself and encountered a rude representative who had the audacity to ask me "Well what do you want me to do about this situation?" I informed him that he has done absolutely nothing to help me and I will get in my car and take the 20 minute freeway drive to the store. I put gas in my car and hopped on the freeway and headed straight for the Fairfield store. The manager at the store immediately took the side of the warehouse until she got on the phone and someone set her straight that what was sent out was not the correct color and that the customer is correct about the situation in regards to color and that if they got the order right in the first place all pieces would have been delivered today.

The manager then stated that I have to wait for the drivers to finish their other deliveries and get back to the warehouse and process the return and then my order can be processed for delivery....(when will that be?) That is a whole crock of hooey!!!! I didn't accept the order and the warehouse was aware of the situation and that the furniture was put back on the truck for return. So I will be waiting for who knows how long. I will never ever buy anything else from Ashley Furniture, they are selling stuff that they do not have in stock, can't deliver on time nor deliver the correct order. They do not answer your phone calls either, you have to actually physically walk in to the store where you made your purchase to have someone actually do something. Hands down this store is for the birds....and I am talking the birds from H..E..double hockey sticks!!!

I will never in my life purchase anything from Ashley Furniture in Fairfield, California. I gave them 2 chances and they screwed up both times. This is unacceptable and I urge others to think wisely and check options before shopping with Ashley....They also just lost a four thousand dollar order from someone I referred due to this fiasco. They were present with me during the purchase and delivery and upon me leaving the store with no compensation or definitive time of delivery they called in and cancelled and asked for a refund. Be very careful shopping with these scamming sharks. If I could leave a double negative star I would. I hate that I have to give them a star in order to leave review and inform others to be cautious and aware when shopping with these scamming sharks that are full of the filthiest of filthy rubbish.

First and last purchase made at Ashley HomeStore. Quality is lowest in the industry. They sub contract out delivery and customer gets stuck in a disorganization cycle as the go between. Multiple delivery issues. Sales people say delivery is separate. You get a “guest services” number to call that takes many calls, days and hours before you can speak to a correct person. Once you accept furniture you are stuck with it. It's a scam contract as delivery people and store contradict and customer is put in uncomfortable positions. Shipping charges are HIGH and they do not use boxes. So much damaged furniture as it is cheap to begin with. I'm very disappointed and haven’t been this unhappy with a purchase in a long time. Save yourself the hassle and shop ANYWHERE else!!! So much stress & effort. Horrible company.

I have been a customer for over 20 years because I love the product and never had issues. But this time around the customer service team have had bad service. It all started at point of sale on 9/5/21 at the Melbourne store in Florida. The sales rep Sarah ** stated my table would be delivered by 9/27/21. I was happy because it was a week after my move. I called CS to confirm delivery. I was told it was on back order until 10/8/21. I called on 10/6 to confirm I was told by 10/18.

Today I called. I'm being told by 11/6/21. I asked for a manager and I got instead Steffon in escalations. First of all he kept putting me on mute. To me this is just rude. I worked at a call center and I had to ask before I did this. I was stern and requested a manager because I knew he could not help. He stated, "No managers take calls." WOW, I explained I have spent thousands of dollars there and this was horrible that it felt CS said what they felt like to get you off the phone. As he talked then I would start after he pause. He continued to say, "You are not letting me talk." I stated, "Yes I am not to say that," then he finally hung up on me.

I called back. The next CSR was nice. She tried to connect me to the store which is an hour and a half away from where I am. She had no luck. Our call dropped and no one never called me back. I don't understand why Ashley allows this kind of behavior. I have a new house with no dining room table. I can never get the store on the phone. You should treat better your customers.

Had a defective chest of drawers delivered on Friday, I immediately went to the store to let them know the drawers are defective and don't open. The service rep in the store just gave me a 1-800 # and told me they don't handle returns. Called the 1-800 # and it was closed, called the next morning (Saturday) and they gave me to go online and chat with a live agent, tried to do that and had to submit information and message sent was 'please wait for 48 hrs.' That didn't seem right to me so I called back and they said they can book someone to come in but I had to wait a week and the only option was they have to inspect it, try to repair and only then would they replace it.

I spent $1200 on a chest of drawers, because I thought it was good quality! So I asked for a refund and they tried to tell me to do a inspection first. So I hung up and called again and then I was told for a refund you have to request it within the first 48 hrs, and the only options I had were 1) 10% re-stocking fee with store credit to be used in 30 days or 2) 25% restocking fee and refund of the remainder. I don't understand how they can charge for a DEFECTIVE product. I spoke with the regional manager and his response was 'you can log this with Better Business Bureau, if you don't like it but by then you're 48 hr window will be over. I've had calls before and they can't do anything.'

I was essentially bullied into making a decision and I choose to cut my ties with Ashley and take the 25% hit. I called again as a follow-up on Monday to see when they would be picking it up and they told me I was scheduled for an inspection and not a return! They do not send any emails for confirmation of what was decided, they keep trying to push you out of the 48 hrs window so you don't have any choice but to keep a defective product. Super disappointing and I wanted to share that all consumers are aware of their return policies prior to purchasing. The quality was substandard to say the least, the service is deplorable and this is how Ashley treats their customers, it's sad and disappointing to say the least.

We ordered a dresser on August 28, had it delivered Sep 10. When we opened the box it looked like It had been dropped from a 2 story building. We contacted Ashely online and they said, "Take pics and we will send someone out to confirm." That took another week for someone to come tell me what I already knew. We are now 1 month in on Sep 28 when we receive an email telling us, "We will be exchanging your dresser on Jan 2, 2022." We understand they are back ordered so that’s not an issue. Our issue is the broken dresser (which is not our fault) will not be picked up until the other one arrives on Jan 2, 2022. So for FOUR months that dresser (which is still here) has to sit in my house and take up room because they can’t pick it up! The dresser they broke.

Now is when the pointing fingers begins and moving company is blamed, then the moving company blames Ashley, then the online store has nothing to do with hometown store, and now we have asked for a refund and the dresser was denied a refund and we never were notified of that. When we called to find out what happened, the lady (very nice) said she can’t look up info like that but it says denied. Haha This place is a joke! I run my own business and I’ve seen this before. Just like the drug companies or our government, y’all point the finger in another direction. Know nothing is going to be accomplished.

The order was delivered first with King size bed frame without slats (missing), there is no Slats came with the bed frame. I asked them why it's not been sent and they say that I have ordered Adjustable Bed base so they did not send. But I have ordered the completed bed frame set which comes with slats. Also the Adjustable base was shown us different one with massager in the store and they shipped a different one with our massager feature, pictures are attached. For this I have raised a complaint and also went to the store and asked for support but no one is responding in the store and they made me to wait for 2 hours just to reply me on the issue.

Finally they said the Ashley homestore cannot do anything in my case and they asked me to check with Ashley Online. Which was weird and when I contacted Ashley Online they said Ashley homestore has more control on the orders placed on the store. I was end up nowhere from here. I was keep on trying to call Ashley customer service and to connect to customer representative it's taking 1 hour and some time they will disconnect after connecting the call getting to know the information. My Request to all, never ever buy any furniture from Ashley. Once your invoice is paid that's it, no one will consider you. They just need money for us, never expect a support from them. We liked the sofa and loveseat set color in the store and ordered and we got a different color than what we saw in the store. We refused the delivery and went to the store. The store manager was not at all polite. He insisted that there is a 10% stocking fee if we cancel the order. The color of the item is different than what we see in the store. They disagree that the color is different. We ordered a matching chair for the dining table only to find that the sales consultant put a different item in the order when we received it. The sales consultant has no clue of what he was selling. He never went through the key terms and conditions.

The worst store manager and the worst store. I will never buy from or recommend Ashley to anyone. Especially this store as the store manager is very rude and does not even care about customers. Just look at all the reviews for delivery and run away. After submitting a review in Google reviews I got the below reply.

Firstly, They have the best customer service when you are looking around for something. They will be with you at all times in the store and tell you all the prices and specifications and recommendations. Once you fall into their trap then your life turn to hell from there. I got yelled by the manager for asking my stuff to be delivered and hung up on me. She called back and said (she was stressed out because of the pandemic). Anyways I got the shipment and it was a wrong color. Turned out I had to wait all over again. They made me buy warranty on all the items I got and promised it will be taken care of it with anything wrong with it. Now it's been about 8 months and the whole couch is falling apart because it is made with cheap fabric.

I called them and they made me send pictures of the tears and all. When I did so they never called me back. I had to call them back and now they are saying, "We don't cover tears of that kind" (it's Cleary from where the stitches are). They refused to do anything for me now and blamed it on me for not reading the manual of the warranty when I was getting it. There I lost my money on the couch and the warranty. On top of that they are totally different and rude on the phone than when you are on the store shopping. An advice for hardworking and hard money earners PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SWEET TALKS JUST SO THEY CAN TRAP YOU INTO SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND FULL OF STRESS! Spend your money wisely!!!

All consumers BEWARE shopping at Ashley Home Stores. You will be Frustrated/disappointed/annoyed and the experience will leave you questioning yourself asking why didn’t I just go someplace else to buy my furniture? On 8/29/21 purchased a bedroom set from Ashley’s home furniture store. The saleswoman recommended doorstep delivery. I was not even aware that this was an option. I received the 3 items on 10/1/21, in boxes in my Garage. The delivery drivers was in such a rush to drop off and leave.

My husband opened the dresser box half way and there was a large crack in the top trim of the dresser and a long deep scratch on the top of the dresser and a drawer that they tried to repair. We then left the box halfway open and went to open the chest boxes and lo and behold there was a dent on the side of one of the chest and the top of the chest had shifted and was not even with the other end so it does not line up flushed on the front of the chest.

We contact customer service as soon as the delivery men left. We was told to send pictures which we did and someone will call and let us know the next step. 3 days went by and we never received any calls and decided to go back to the store. A lady at the store looked up our information and she said we had an appointment scheduled for 10/7/21 for a technician to come out and repair the (NEW damage furniture), they dropped off that is still in the box in our garage. The tech came out and submitted his reports of the damage and even pointed out more damages on these same items that are supposed to be new. I explained to him we didn’t purchase repaired furniture. We purchased brand new furniture and paid full price.

The tech told us to call the warranty company, we did, then they told us to call customer service we did and it was very frustrating explaining the whole story just to hear the representative tell you in short I will create a case number and someone will call you within 72 hours or longer because we are very busy. We then ask to speak to a supervisor or manager, she then told us they are all busy and no one else could talk to us. We continued to go back and forth with her of how frustrated we are with the whole process and she finally then told us to hold on and came back and said I’m transferring you to someone else.

The person that came on the line was very, very, rude and unprofessional and dismissive. She was basically telling us that is the policy, and her title is highest person in the office. She stated that her name was Darrien, and I’m the only one in this office with that name. So if you don’t want to have another technician to come out to try and repair that same (New damage Furniture) that we delivered to you, there is nothing else we can do to help you and you will just have the keep the items just like that, and you can’t return them. I was appalled to hear how ridiculous this sounds to me, and I let her know that. We are still trying to get this matter resolved and just wanted to give consumers a heads up that are looking to spend their hard earned money on furniture please, please think twice before considering purchasing anything from Ashley Home Furniture Store, Don’t Do It or else you will regret it like us.

It also was damaged. This damage was not caused by the delivery process, it was a manufacturing issue. The first dresser had a huge smudge mark in the finish across the top of it. The second dresser had the finish flaking off of it. It has taken me 4 months to get to this point. I am now waiting on Goedeker's to get the 2nd dresser picked up and was told it would be 6 months before a new dresser will be delivered. My advice would be not to order anything from Ashley Furniture as it is poorly made and takes several months to receive the item.

Again I just go to them because of the credit they provide which I need to stop. Regards.

One shelving unit has pieces missing and the tech told us Ashley's would deliver this separately. This never arrived and we Spoke to Ashley's on 13-Jul-21 who told us Delivery guys did not create a case for the missing pieces and it will take 7-10 business days for the glass shelve holder to arrive.

Within 2 weeks only 1 clip/piece arrived (2 are needed). So we had to chase again. 31st August we spoke to Ashley's again (we had a reference) and were told they would come and collect the unit and replace as the original installers had filled in the holes where the glass shelf should go and we would damage the unit if we tried to fix ourselves. Another another month delay we called on 27-September and were told this time Replacement parts are going to be delivered and the unit will not be exchanged.

5th October technician came out and still can't fix the shelf. It's been now over 3 months and we are upset the effort we have had to do to chase and every time a technician or Customer service agent ends a conversation we hear "someone will call you tomorrow" but this has never happened. We are at the stage we think it would be better to get a refund and buy another unit from somewhere else, it's just so frustrating to have to go 3 months without a resolution.

Very, very disappointed. Do not buy from Ashley Furniture. I totally understand Covid and how it delayed everything. But the way Ashley’s handled it was a disgrace. We bought a frame and headboard in September 2020, and paid a good price for it. We did not receive it until January 2021. Just 4 months later the whole frame cracked in half and injured my leg pretty bad. Ashley’s then said they can only replace the frame. I explained we did not want the frame replaced because it is so baldly constructed that the same thing was just going to happen again. Well as per their policy, it would have had to have collapsed within 48 hours after receiving the item for anything else to be done. So being out of luck and no other choice, in May they told us it would be in within 3 weeks.

We have received 5 calls now saying the frame has been delayed yet again and email after email saying there is another delay. It is now October 5, 2021. Almost 6 months later, only to get the good ole phone call again saying yet again it has been delayed. I was speaking to a floor salesperson and told him this was completely unacceptable and can may I please speak to a supervisor. Only to be told that could not be done. He would relay the message. After a lengthy amount of time and at least 20 minutes he finally agreed to have a supervisor call me back.

When Jason phoned it was only the exact same thing all over again, and 20 more minutes of nonsense. "I understand your frustration" and he could do nothing further than email the parts department again. I was understandably upset, yet all Jason did was speak over me. I ask to speak to someone further up which he replied that he would not do that. His exact words were, “there are people above me, I’m just not telling you who.” What???? So I asked for his name. He said he would only give his first name, Jason.

I phoned Ashley’s furniture head office, and guess how that went? Yes exactly. Now when every person you speak to says the same thing “I understand your frustration ma’am or sir.” You know they have meetings practicing what to say after they have scammed yet another customer. So here I sit with no bed for almost a year now and no one, not one person could have compassion and take care of a customer or as a human, with no bed after this length of time. So I tell you all. If you dare to purchase anything from Ashley furniture, be aware that if something happens to it, you are totally out of luck for a refund or a replacement.

Ashley Furniture has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered $1994.94 worth of furniture in March 2021. The Sales Rep pitched this wonderful "Protection Plan" that would cover any damage to the furniture or cleanings needed with no deductible. My furniture was delivered May 8, 2021. On May 16, 2021 I emailed customer service because there was already a large rip in the cushion of the sofa and the mechanism under one of the recliners was broken asking how to file a claim under the wonderful Protection Plan. I was advised not to file it under the protection plan and they would send me new casings and then a tech would come install them. The casings arrived and I was told to expect a call from their 3rd Party technician to schedule the work.

Over two weeks later, I had not received a call. I emailed back and was told there was no tech in my area to fulfill the service, that I would need to call their scheduling team to get them to pick my sofa up. After a few calls to the scheduling team, someone finally answered and I was told I was outside of their delivery zone (where they delivered my furniture in May) and they would have to get manager approval to come get my sofa. Fast forward to July. My couch still had not been picked up. The seat is still ripped and the recliner still broken. I file with the Better Business Bureau for assistance and finally get a call back from Customer Service to schedule my sofa to be picked up to be repaired. It was picked up July 6, 2021.

Via the BBB dispute, I was told my sofa cushion was fixed and they would be scheduling redelivery. I also asked to confirm the recliner was fixed as well. It was not, the part had not come in yet. A few weeks later, I email back asking about my sofa. They had then decided my sofa was not repairable and they had reordered my sofa - ETA NOVEMBER. At this point I asked for a full refund. Today is September 30th and I have not received my refund nor a replacement sofa. I have been stolen from.

PLEASE READ TO AVOID A HEADACHE WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! If I could give zero stars, I would. I regret ever wasting my time with Ashley Furniture. I had ordered a sleeper sofa early June of 2021. Due to Covid we were advised that the delivery could take up to twelve weeks because of the impact of the pandemic on the manufacturer. We took the chance and waited twelve weeks for our couch to be delivered thinking that it would all be worth it in the end. I received a call for my delivery date scheduled for September 3rd 2021. The delivery team came to drop off my sofa, when we discovered that it had manufacturer defects.

The fabric was coming off and the screws weren't tightened all the way and they were poking out, and one of the main support beams was warped and bent. I refused delivery because I was not going to be responsible for a defective and unsafe couch. So I contacted the warehouse and was advised that they can deliver another sleeper sofa of the same model two days later. So my new delivery date was scheduled for September 5th.

The next day I get my confirmation for the new delivery date, but the address is incorrect. I called the warehouse to fix the address, to which a representative said "I'll go ahead and take care of it for you.". I got another confirmation on Sunday September 5th, notating my delivery window but the address is STILL incorrect. I called the warehouse again so they could fix it before my sofa was dropped off but no one answered and I was forced to leave a voicemail. I waited the whole day and nobody called me back and my couch was never delivered to me.

So I called the warehouse again on Monday September 6th and spoke with a female about my situation and she advised me that the delivery was marked as complete. I told her it can't be complete because I didn't have my product. She answered back that in the confirmation photo that there was a mattress, side table, and some other items delivered. I told the representative that I ordered a sleeper sofa and no one had come by to deliver it, so those photos had to have come from a different delivery. She then scheduled me for another delivery for Friday, September 10th.

I waited until Thursday September 9th to get my confirmation, which I never received. So I called the warehouse again on Friday the 10th to see what was going on. I spoke with a male representative and explained our situation to him. He advised me that our sale ticket had been voided, and he would have to speak with his supervisor and call us back.

I waited until Monday the 13th and never got a call. So I called the Furniture store that we purchased the sofa from and asked to speak with the manager. Straight away we got sent to her voicemail and we never got a call back from her. At this point I am beyond frustrated so, on Tuesday the 14th I go to the furniture store in person to see what is going on. We spoke with the manager in person, told her everything that happened and she called the warehouse herself. The person she spoke with from the warehouse let her know that she would have to check in the back to see if she still had any of our model of sofa in stock and she will call us back since she didn't know how long it would take to "put her hands on it". So with nothing resolved, we left.

We got a call about two hours later from the same gentleman I spoke with on Friday the 10th. He said that they unfortunately do not have the couch in stock anymore so they will have to reorder it from the manufacturer. Meaning that we would have to wait 12 weeks all over again. At this point I can't believe what is going on. I try calling the corporate number for customer service, to which the receptionist tells us that the number is only for ONLINE orders, and not in person orders and transfers us to the store where we ordered the sofa. I wait on hold for over 20 minutes to speak with the manager before hanging up.

If we were supposed to have our couch delivered on Sunday September 5th, to which the delivery team never came, then where is the couch that was on that truck? Then on Wednesday September 15th, I get a call from the supervisor from the warehouse saying that they have the same model of couch that they can have it delivered on Friday September 17th. So I scheduled delivery for then, giving Ashley Furniture one last chance. The delivery comes on Friday, but with my luck, the sofa will not fit through the door due to the pull out bed in it. The delivery team did not want to risk damaging the bed inside the couch because of the flexible material. Because of this we refused delivery and decided we wanted our money back.

At this point, I want no further business with Ashley Furniture, I want my money back. I called and let them know I want a FULL refund but the receptionist tells me that there is a 20% cancellation fee. I spoke with the manager in the store after the delivery team took the couch back to the warehouse and he advised me that they cannot give us a refund until they have received the sofa at the warehouse. He told us to come back on Monday, September 20th.

It does not take three days to get a couch back from the truck to the warehouse. So we went back to the store on Saturday the 18th and spoke to the same manager and he told us that we would be getting our refund if we had just waited until Monday. They have such horrible customer service!!! After arguing with the manager we got our refund, since we had paid it off with our credit card it would take up to ten business days to go through the bank. We have since gotten our refund and are still trying to find a trustworthy business to help us find a couch for our home.

We have been a long time customer of Ashley Furniture products for 17 years, from couches, dining sets, living room and bedroom furniture. The style, durability and reasonable costs have kept us coming back again and again. Well this has officially come to an end. We have recently moved and purchased $12,000 worth of furniture to fill our new home. We paid cash and were assured our products would be available 4-6 weeks for delivery. We have been patient waiting the full 6 weeks before checking status.

Call one: "We have everything in stock, just waiting on bed rails expect a delivery call in 1 - 2 weeks". Again, being patient, waited the full two weeks before call two: "Everything is in stock, just missing the ottoman for the couch, expect a delivery call in the next couple days." Waited a week for Call three: "Everything is in, missing an insert section of the couch." Question, Why is it that each time we have called, a different piece has been missing? "Um I'm not sure, I can only tell you what is in our system." When should we expect this last piece? "Two weeks".

Waited again the full two weeks, Call 4: What is the status? "Um we are missing the nightstands to your bedroom set, won't be available until 2022?" So why can't you send me what you have in stock and I'll wait until 2022 for the night stands? "Yes, sir, we can absolutely do that. Not sure why your account was set up the way it was, as we are waiting for items to complete your order, the product we do have sometimes get sent out to fulfill other orders. This should have been explained to you, please expect delivery for 9/25/2021 for all items, minus the night stands." 9/25/2021 has come and gone, no call, no updates. Call 5: 9/28/2021: What is the status of my order, I was expecting a partial delivery for 9/25/2021? "Um, I don't show that we have any of your purchased items in stock."

There is something seriously dysfunctional with this company. They make several promises and are incapable or incompetent to be able to deliver. They are filled with lies and excuses. Multiple times, promises for a supervisor to call back - ignored. The hours spent on hold to get someone on the phone, their hold message is a farce and full of false advertising. Further confirms that the customer is nothing but $$$ and their greatest asset is their staff (to keep the charade and excuses at peak performance), not their customers believing in their products and services.

I would not recommend purchasing this product now or in the future. Save yourself the stress, aggravation and if you are needing to finance the $$$ in interest while waiting to see if you'll ever receive your furniture. Shop anywhere else but here - remind this store that their greatest asset is their customers. It's amazing how a company with such a great product could treat its customers in such a way in this difficult time. Now the real fight begins, trying to get our money back from this crooked company that is just making money off of our funds gaining interest on a product they are unable to deliver.

Now I’m told I would not receive another replacement until December which will be four more months. It would have taken me almost 8 months to get things settled about my sectional and then I’m told when they receive it back it has to be like new. Not even a dog hair on it. We went to the Springfield, MO store in early August and purchased a bedroom set and an occasional chair. We were told our delivery date would be 9/28. We found out later that we would not be home on that date so I called to see about changing it. The automated delivery message said my order could not be scheduled for delivery because it would not be ready for 16 weeks! So I called the store and asked for the salesman. Since he was not there I spoke to a woman who said that delivery dates are never set until 15 days before they have your order, a pretty important detail our salesman left out. I was told that our bed and the chair were available but not the dresser and nightstands.

Since we were sleeping on a mattress on the floor, I spoke to our salesman and told him we would take delivery of the two items that were ready. He offered 9/22 but that date did not work for us. We settled on 10/6. We decided not to wait for 10/6 and to go pick up the items ourselves. I called and spoke to a woman who gave me the address of their warehouse and who kept me on the line while she "confirmed" that we would be picking up the bed and chair from the warehouse.

On 9/25 we drove 75 miles one way to the warehouse where we were told that our items were not there and were not scheduled to be there until 10/6!!!! How they were going to deliver the items on 9/22 as was suggested, if they didn't even have them on 9/25 is something I will never understand. What did the woman "confirm" if not that the items were available for pick up? I called to cancel our order and was told that I would be transferred to the "cancellation department." After waiting for 8 minutes I gave up and called the salesman. He said "It's not like we're not trying to get you your furniture," but that's EXACTLY what it's like! He also said they were doing their best, to which I replied that their "best" was pretty bad. Some honesty and some communication would be nice, but that seems to be too much to expect from that store. The man at the warehouse told us that this has been a problem for years, so they can't blame the pandemic.

Back in November 2016 me and my wife went to Ashley Furniture for the entire home setup as we just purchased a home back in 2016. Needless to say we bought a kitchen table, couch / with love seat, recliner, and entire bed setup. The couches after 2 years of owning them without any pets in our home and taking good care of everything we own. The couches began peeling and ripping, the table peeling, the bed no longer adjusts back to shape, because we bought a memory type mattress with a adjustable bases. I notified Ashley furniture about all the issues and found out the material used for my couches were no longer being made due to it being fake leather, the sales rep wow told me this was real leather as we paid not hundreds of dollars for everything, but around 10k.

When the Company sent techs to our home, they attempted to patch up the table and looked at the couches and said they would give me a credit for the store. I refused the credit for the store as the materials they use are not quality, but low grade it shows. They sent me small check in the mail and I went to another furniture outlet to purchase my furniture.

But wait there's more as any commercial would say, the bed in question they claimed was still under warranty as we aren't talking a whole lot of time did not pass. They basically lied to me and said they would contact me about the bed and they never did, so I contacted them and had the run a around and playing 20 question trivia with these reps and they to this date and time never once helped me with my bed and basically said the bed isn't defective. Yet their tech not mine or one I hired theirs came out to my home and inspected the mattress and the tech in front of me and my wife acknowledged that the bed was defective and needed to be replaced.

So what is Ashley Furniture's reply to this, oh we will give you a great discount on a new mattress and we will throw in a free shipping and setup at your home. Wow really. No thank you and I will highly pass on this as I purchased this back in 2016 of November. 4 years go by and now I need another bed LOL. Beds don't go bad that fast. My last bed was legit not a memory foam and was 2k and I had it for 15 plus years as it is a bed not a toy.

After the 1st delivered sofa piece the second piece of sofa arrived within the week and Then it was the wrong side of the sofa. I had 2 right arm rest sides. WTH is wrong with this picture?

Then after a few months my husband and I felt the left side arm sofa was caving in the middle and felt that we were having a hard time getting up and out of the sofa. Ashley decided they would send me a replacement cushion and it did help for about a month and notice the same thing. The cushions were all losing their form and becoming FLAT. They bring in their repair guy and he stated there was no damage to the sofa but he reinforced the screws under the sofa to make sure. He then showed me that the sofas didn't come with any support under the cushions so that eventually one would feel that you are sinking.

Well... well, Ashley is not doing anything to help us out with either getting a different sofa or a return. I have filed a dispute but that has not been any help. I want this furniture picked up and removed from my home. I'm not paying for a damage sofa and making payments while Ashley is making money from the working people. RE: Ongoing delay - misinformation (see also: 23 Weeks and Counting...) Like many of the posts in this thread, mine is a word of caution regarding the delays Ashley HomeStore is currently facing with their manufacturing, warehouse, and delivery. While it is understandable that some of the elements are out of their control, what has been most disappointing is the failure to communicate honestly and set realistic expectations. Our experience appears to be an example of malicious and dishonest customer service.

We purchased our sectional couch in April 2021. For context, we had just moved into our home and learned that we were pregnant with our first. With that in mind, it was crucial that we furnish our home in time for the baby's arrival. During the buying process, we communicated to the Ashley HomeStore staff what our timeline was. We were assured that we could expect our Sectional Couch in "8-12 weeks". While the staff was apologetic that it would take so long, we were assured because that timeline would still ensure that the couch was delivered well before we were expecting the baby.

As you can imagine, the "8-12 weeks" came and went without any word or update from Ashley HomeStore. By Week 14, I called and was informed that there had been unexpected delays with their manufacturer and I could expect my couch by Week 18. Came and went and again, no update or call from Ashley. I called in again and asked about the status, I was again told about unexpected delays but again assured that I could expect the couch by Week 20; same scenario played out. A call on Week 22 finally revealed an honest conversation where I was told that they genuinely do not know when I can expect my couch. It could be next month, it very well could be next year. Meanwhile, my wife and I have been attempting to feed and soothe our child while sitting on an air mattress in the middle of our living room.

On top of the frustrations associated with the delays, the most disappointing aspect has been the poor communication. After reading the rest of the reviews in this thread, it is very clear that (at the outset) the staff knew that 8-12 weeks was an unrealistic timeline. Furthermore, the staff knew that they were likely unable to give a realistic timeline. However, instead of communicating the likelihood of delays to me and my pregnant wife; they instead took advantage of the situation in order to make a sale. At no time throughout this entire process have we been offered any sort of discount or compensation as a means of tender for the delay. Rather we have only been met with more false information and unrealistic expectations.

TLDR; We purchased a sectional couch 23 weeks ago and have yet to receive it/Ashley HomeStore has continually failed to provide realistic updates.

At this point we called the corporate office and talked to someone from their escalation department who said since we have been dealing with this since June that they will just replace the table. Now we did not ask for this. All we wanted was the part replaced.

Now to add to all of this we were finally told after talking to over 8 different people that the part was on back order. That also was another reason why they said they were going to replace the table because we waited so long for this. My wife and I got married on September 4, 2021, and we had family over. do you know how embarrassing it was eating from a card table because no one from Ashley furniture knows how to communicate with their customers. This is not the first piece of furniture that we had problem with. My mother-in-law bought a brand-new bed from them and already three of the metal screws have fallen out. My wife has a countless number of emails confirming delivery dates and as usual nothing shows up.

So today once again we called the corporate office and this time, I got a name. Jamill said again that the part is on back order, and we should receive the part in October. He also sent us another email confirming the date. At this point we are just so frustrated because it seems that everyone, we talk to love to just tell us something just because they don’t want to deal with the problem. So now we have another delivery date and what will happen if we don’t get the part then.

You can’t call the local store to get information. Everything goes through a call center in another country. Even if you go into the store to check on your order, no one can help you. My couch was in two days ago and I’m still waiting for them to allow me to pick it up.

Never purchase anything from Ashley HomeStore. We purchased couches just over a year ago that were QUITE expensive. We found tiny holes throughout the couch and put in a claim. The inspector came out and told me looks like bad material. "Great. Now we know." Never heard anything back from them for almost a month, so I called. They told me "Oh yeah, We denied your claim due to normal wear and tear." WHAT!!!! The inspector told me it was a manufacturing defect. The Non-English speaking woman told me that they made the decision and thank you for my time. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS Ashley HomeStore. They do not stand by their product!!!

BEWARE. Do NOT do business with this company. Ordered furniture online that took 5 months to arrive and when it did arrive they only had half of my sectional and had no idea when the other half would come in and one of the dressers was broke. Customer service hung up on me 3 times and I was given the run around only for them to tell me it was non refundable. I am very UNHAPPY with this store. Customer service is no good and the furniture is cheap quality. Save yourself the headache and shop somewhere else

They never delivered my furniture when promised. After waiting 3 + months I canceled my order after they breached the contract with no delivery. They never return calls. You have to go in the store for them to tell you they can't give you your money back. When someone did call me they told me no way I can cancel my order. They bullied me and refused to give me my money back. Stay as far away as Trivett’s Furniture dba Ashley HomeStore.

So disappointed. Frankly angry. Purchased $2400 sectional /COULEE Model in Norwalk Ct. You need to know, you are buying from 2nd party ownership. Not that it matters. Corporate did not help me in any way.. They just back up their State to State 2nd party ownership. Made me feel like a fool not knowing this.. Couch failed from 1st day. Seems Ripped. Under chaise cushion, base collapsed. So exhausted of dealing w/ Connecticut ownership & local warehouse. I'm 3 months in w/ no repair. And very little follow up & simple confusion. If you choose to buy anything from them,,, Please purchase extended warranty. Don't waiver on the cost of the $$. You may need it. And please read it in full & ask as many questions you need to. I can't stress this enough. If you have any issues, for me at least, left so disappointed & and lost. Just don't buy from them.

I have purchased 2 chairs and both broke within the first year and yes I purchased the insurance. After 2 1/2 years I opted to pass on another poorly constructed chair and used my insurance credit to TRY to purchase accessories (lamps, throws and now an accent table) with no success. I have been to the local Ashley Home Store in Cumming, GA 6 times and they still can't figure out how to enter the correct address to direct ship my order. Do not waste your time nor money at Ashley Home Store.

Bought table. Waited for delivery never arrived, called many times, impossible to reach. Went back to store, received new delivery date. Table arrived already built. 1 month past table legs fall apart and chairs sink in middle. Call and call warranty department, repair arrives and orders parts. Parts arrive but repair people never show. Tired of calling them, a few month later table cracks in base while we are eating dinner. Next ordered closet shelves, delivery arrives with broken shelf. I call and email Ashley and am bounced back between manufacturer and Ashley and I never get parts and they are not willing to take back. Stay away from this company and City Furniture. Same company, just stay away.

Was told a specific delivery date for of the several pieces of furniture ordered and it still has not been delivered. Was told another delivery date for 2 other pieces of furniture and still no delivery. We have no furniture and no one will return our calls. We have been waiting over a month for our order and have nothing! We have been able to speak with a live person only 3 times out of all the many, many calls and was even told a supervisor would call us back, and return our call. We still have no call back from a supervisor. Even spoke with the sales person on the phone and nothing has happened. He got the sale and was done with us. Called too many times to count now and still nothing.

I will NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE PURCHASE from this crooked company. Take your business elsewhere!!!! They will be sued for deceptive trade practices. Every single family member, relatives and friends will hear about how wrong we have been done by this company! After complaining to one family member, I have already been told we are having other problems with Ashley Furniture as well. They purchase dining room chairs that are all uneven and wobble due to cheap quality! They to can’t get a person on the phone that will help!! Find another company to purchase your furniture and save yourself the frustration, anger and headache!!!

Hello. I placed an order for a mattress online because I thought it would be more convenient than driving to purchase it. Alas, my delivery date was scheduled for September 27! I placed the order on August 20. Now I contacted the number on the bottom of my email to instead pick it up from your distribution center. The number used was: (301) 242-5990. Their service was less than par, & the first service agent (after having called the first time), asked if I "really" wanted to be transferred in a condescending tone.

The agent, after I was transferred (the first time), said that she was going to reach out to their delivery team but rather transferred me to a survey asking for the rating of the service call). The last time I was transferred over to "Ashley Online (per the second agent, there are two entities), I was simply transferred to a survey to "rate" your service. Really? My order number is: **. Ashley has already pulled the funds from my bank, and I now would like to pick them up from my very local distribution center. As a first responder, I do not want to wait till almost the end of the month to have in my possession an item I purchased on August 20. Your customer service is immensely poor and agents' attitude questionable.

Bought Outdoor furniture and Dinning set along with protection plan. Received defective outdoor furniture. Ashley Furniture were not helpful even with a protection plan. Spent couple of weeks calling and sending emails with pictures to customer service and local store but with no outcome. Local store/sales folks were rude. It's been almost 2 months but still struggling to fix the furniture. Bad experience with Ashley Furniture.
