DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE OR PURCHASE THE WARRANTY PACKAGE FROM MONTAGE. They don't honor their word, they take your money and they use every loophole possible. I have been trying for 6 months to get my brand new sectional repaired, after totally being frustrated with Montage coming out over three months and still not repairing it, I demanded a refund for the warranty. I still haven't seen it, if you call the company they don't allow you to speak to a rep. You can only fax information. This is a horrible way to take advantage of a single mother. DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY OR USE ANY OF THEIR SERVICES! TRUST ME THEY ARE CROOKS!

I should have checked online reviews before buying the recliner from Ashley Furniture. AF sent flyers for few weeks, advertising warehouse clearing sale. So, my husband and I went to the nearest AF to buy a sofa. After talking to a nice lady who works there, we ended up buying a loveseat recliner for $1000. The lady said that it would take about 2 weeks for the delivery but usually it takes less than that. She also mentioned that it could take up to 6 weeks at the latest. I was not happy about the waiting time but I really liked the chair so I said it is ok. For some reason, contract said 2 to 8 weeks. So, it was wrong from the beginning. I just didn't want to see it.

Now it is week 9 but I still don't have the recliner. I made my first call on week 4 and it has been a battle ever since. They called several times only to tell me that the delivery schedule has been delayed (not to my place. to its own warehouse from out-of-state). I got another call today and the recliner should arrive to their warehouse next week. After that, they are not sure how long it would take to deliver it to my place. Clearly they are in breach of contract so I am considering whether to cancel the whole thing off. However, some of the online reviews are stopping me from canceling the contract because AF charge 30% restocking fee or something. I want to avoid fighting with them if I can.

Anyway if you already bought something from them, I feel so sorry for you. If you haven't bought anything yet, God Bless You. Stay away from this hell store. It brings nothing but suffering.

I bought a bed yesterday, paid in full even though the bed was back ordered for 3-4 weeks. I get home and realize the bed I just bought was too big for the room, so I called the very next day to cancel. Should be easy enough since the bed is back ordered for 3 weeks right. Wrong! I am told I cannot cancel. There are no returns and no cancelations, which by the way they did not tell me any of that! So now I have to go pick up a bed in 3 weeks that won't even fit in my room.

After only two years of having our kitchen table and chairs, the finish on the top of the table started coming off. It looked terrible. I had to hide it with a tablecloth! (A couple other parts to the chairs were coming apart also, but that was not as concerning because we could somewhat fix them.) When I contacted the store they said they first said they only had a record of us in the computer as buying a dresser. I told them we had bought a bar w/stools, a complete bedroom set, and a kitchen table with matching barstools.

She later came back and said she had found the record, but because the table was 2 years old and we did not purchase the extended warranty there was nothing Ashley Furniture would do to help. She did give me the contact info of a business that could fix my table, but when I called them, they said my city (which is only 25 min from Ashley Furniture) was not included in his work area. When I called Ashley Furniture back to get the name of someone else who could fix my table, she said she didn't have any names! Are you kidding me? It's bad enough they sold me a poorly-made table that I'm going to have to pay to have fixed only 2 years after purchasing it, but they can't even give me the name of someone to do the job? Aren't they in the furniture business? I have spent way too much money in that store to be treated like this. They have lost this customer!

Bought living room furniture - sectional couch and tables with 5 year extended warranty from Patchogue, NY store in May 2014. Should have known not to when I learned before I made the purchase that all Ashley stores are independently owned and all have different warranty policies. The couch section has settled very differently than the rest of the sectional. It has also broken the frame 3 different times in different areas. I have had them here twice already for the frame poking thru the leather in back of the couch. The last time was last week, when the tech fixed it he said he saw where it was fixed and was broken in another spot due to poor build. He left and later in the day we noted it broken the same place he had to work on it.

We called Ashley back, complained it is still broken where they were to fix it. They told us that that the warranty was now invalid because of the tech writing it up as being from "abuse" as he saw my 7 year old climbing on the couch. She was getting away from us to move the couch so he could get behind it to work on it. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE USE ASHLEY FURNITURE.

We had problems from the very beginning on a top of the line 7-piece leather sectional that was delivered on Dec. 27, 2013. It started with the order being written incorrectly. The result was that the wrong pieces were delivered and it took 3 weeks to get straighten out. Within 6 months the leather on the back of one recliner began literally peeling! Ashley replaced that piece. Now, in March of 2015, less than 6 months later, the same recliner is peeling again. This time they refused to replace the whole recliner but sent just the back cover. When the installer arrived today to replace the defective piece he realized it was a different grain. He left taking the piece with him.

I called Ashley c/s asking them to pick up the entire sectional as I am sick to death of the problems. But, of course, that is out of the question! So, they are going to, once again, send out the replacement cover and even refuse to replace the recliner. I asked to speak with a manager but was told she was not available, then that she was on the phone. The girl I talked to said she would only be able to do exactly what she is doing, replacing the leather piece.

At the same time of the original order, I order a large area rug that also was defective. It had many wrinkles that did not settle down even after 4 months. The one bright light at that time was ** who was the PFLUGERVILLE TX store manager and had come out to inspect the rug, realized it was defective and credited our account. ** is no longer at that store. I had tried to talk to the new store manager but was refused and told to call customer service.

One last thing. I purchased Montage Protection for $600 as I was told that if it was damaged or defective at any time within 5 years they would pick up the entire sectional for full credit for something else. When I called them about this problem they said they can't help on manufactured defect. All they would do is REPAIR the damage that was caused by us, not replace. So I was lied to from the very beginning. Don't make the same mistake I did and ignore the reviews. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY Furniture.

They are the manufacturer, they cannot find out or ask why they are not done yet???? Customer service at Home office in Charlotte NC said you can wait or whatever option you want. HMMM they can't tell me how long it would be. So my option: get my money and then have to go shopping again. I wish I would have read the reviews before I went there, happens a lot!

I would not recommend anyone to buy anything from this store, no matter what city. I have been trying to get my furniture for about a month. No one attempts to help you. All they do is talk down to you and offer you loaner furniture, so if that gets messed up that's something else you have to pay for. What a joke.

We bought a couch and loveseat from this store and were promised delivery March 20. Now it's April 6 for a schedule date but no guarantee the couch will be ready for that date. They want us to accept the matching pieces before the couch is ready. We do not want a partial delivery of furniture, all or none. I would NEVER buy from this store in Jacksonville FL again.

Advice to anyone: be sure the furniture is in stock and able to be delivered, write on face of contract if furniture not delivered by promised date, sale is cancelled. Better, yet get on a quality furniture store that will stand by their promise. I also never received a copy of the SIGNED contract just a printed invoice with a blank signature line. Unfortunately I signed a finance contract but put no money down, they still insist that I can't cancel the order. I would prefer they keep the furniture that they can't produce along with the rest of the order.

There were two Ashleys mattresses available - both were very firm & unacceptable. We upgraded & paid an additional $370.00 for a softer mattress which was a Serta or Sealy & was later said to be a Sealy. The delivery people delivered the original firm Ashley mattress & removed the plastic cover. After calling the sales lady she refused a return because the plastic cover had been removed. After talking to the Mgr. he also refused to replace the mattress. My wife is in tears with pain from a bad back when she attempts to sleep on the very firm mattress and sleeps on the couch.

I purchased a Mattress at Ashley Furniture Homestore on 5/10/2008 for the total amount of $1422.02. I purchased all the recommended items, such us a "Common QN Box" for the support of the mattress; I also paid delivery charge because I was told that unless Ashley Furniture Homestore delivered the mattress that it would ensure that the mattress arrived at my home without undergoing any damages. The sales person never told me that I was required to purchase a Mattress Cover to keep the warranty intact, Sealy's online warranty does not require that I purchase a Mattress Cover. Sealy's Warranty package was supposed to cover my mattress for 10 yrs from the date of purchase. Here is what they are saying to evade honoring the warranty. If the mattress was not covered with a Mattress Cover, which I didn't have, the warranty is void.

Here is the convenient term that they use: "Any product found to be in an Unreasonably Unsanitary Condition, meaning the product is so PERVASIVELY SOILED that 1) an inspector is unable to conduct an appropriate inspection of the condition of the product without being exposed to potentially dangerous bodily fluids, bloodborne pathogens, or other substances that could cause significant injury". The term Unreasonably is a loosely used term, and it is chosen for a reason, it is used because its impossible to disprove. Mind you the Inspector was able to inspect the mattress and yet they are denying honoring their Warranty due to a coffee stain. When their inspector came out on 3/11/2015 he found that the mattress was 2" inches or more indented, which is well within the coverage for warranty.

As per Sealy's Warranty since the inspector was able to conduct his inspection w/o significant injury and because the mattress was found faulty; then I am in compliance and am entitled to a new mattress. And they are still refusing. I do not take kindly to "strategic corporate" endeavors that are formulated with the sole intention of "getting over on the customer". I have read your policy and as an added courtesy have included it in this response message. I want to address this on many fronts. First, I do not like it when a product is sold to me as a "Cadillac" and then when I call on the retailer and ask for help with the product that they sold to me they turn around and tell me "sorry we cant help". The only reason I purchased this product from Ashley Furniture Homestore was because they offered this warranty with the mattress. The sales person went on and on about this warranty.

Not once, did she even present to me to purchase a mattress cover, nor did she say that w/o the cover your mattress warranty will not be honored. Let's look at the facts; I included my receipt, I ask: "can it be that a person who spends over $1400.00 dollars on a mattress really decide not to spend an additional $25-$30 on a mattress cover??" Really?? The truth is that this matter cannot and will not be decided on speculation alone, but, based on my experience it is my understanding that Ashley Furniture Homestore sales reps "INTENTIONALLY" are taught to exclude these very important details so that when this day arrives, they can throw their arms in the air and say "there is nothing we can do for you". The Law tag is not on the mattress, you are correct, but is that reason enough to disqualify me from my warranty?? Are you implying that there might be a chance that this is not the mattress that I purchased??

I truly hope that is not the reasoning behind this. And in your response you mention that the mattress is "Soiled" and "stained"; the word Soiled and stained are synonymous, I appreciate that you're trying exasperate the issue with no ill will intentions "I'm sure". But, your inspector came out and examined the mattress and found it faulty. I know this because it is what he told me. When I called for a copy, ** (supervisor at customer care) told me that the inspection report was "Proprietary Information" and that I was not entitled a copy. A decision made against my cause and I cannot see a copy?? This is a shady deal, and is vastly different from what was presented to me approximately 7 yrs ago. Now as per my last response to your company, your inspector was able to make the inspection, which is the greatest concern as per Sealy Warranty policy, so then what is the issue??

I can place a mattress cover over the mattress so that your company can transport it with no risk to them. I hope that the reason you don't want the mattress with stains is so that you can either resell it or Lord knows what. Look, do the right thing and stop trying to cheat people out of products they paid you good money to receive.

San Diego, CA. At the time of purchase we were told we would receive our furniture within two weeks, but 3 weeks after the purchase we still had no furniture! We finally got our furniture, but about 3 months later, one of the reclining mechanism on our sectional broke. Ashley sent out someone to repair the problem, but it took them 2 weeks to send someone out.

We haven't had our furniture for more than two years and ANOTHER reclining mechanism piece broke, but Ashley furniture will not repair the piece because it's past the 1 year warranty. Our dining room bench has two buttons missing from the cushion, because apparently just sitting on Ashley furniture will cause some damage, and the finish on our night stand is rubbing off because I rubbed up against the piece a few times with my pants on. At check out time we had a charge for $500 for a protection plan we didn't ask for. I caught it on the bill and reluctantly went ahead and agreed to the plan because the price she quoted me did not go up. The sales person went over the bill and we talked about every piece of furniture and she pointed to it as she went over the bill. When our furniture arrived, our $500 ottoman was not on the truck. What a coincidence that it was the same price as the protection plan. When we called to ask about it we didn't get any help. When we asked to talk to the sales person, she never called back.

Basically we were ripped off by $500. This is the second time I have been swindled by them. Years ago I bought a dining table from them. The display in the store was hard wood and the table we received was hollow laminate. I should have known better. Not sure how they stay in business. There is a reason why they only have a single rating on customer satisfaction.

I ordered a sofa and loveseat combo in Feb of 2015. It was delivered in June of 2014 when we moved into our home. In Nov my loveseat broke, I called the store to have it repaired. The girl I spoke with informed me that she put it in the system and someone would call me the following day to schedule an appointment to come and look at the loveseat. I called on a Sunday and was told by Monday to expect a call. Well I waited a WEEK and heard nothing so I decided to call the store again. I was given the number to directly call the warehouse that schedules all the maintenance calls. I asked to speak to a supervisor, he then got on the phone and said, "Well we have been really busy and backed up and haven't had time." It's been over a week at this point and he hasn't had time???

He told me he could not send someone until the next week on a Wednesday. I agreed and said that was fine. The next Wed, 2 maintenance ppl came out, spent over an hr at my house and said they could not fix the problem and someone would either order me a new one or they would pick the loveseat and bring it to the warehouse to fix it. 2 weeks went by and yet again NO CALL!! I again called the store and they informed it they ordered me a new one but it would take about 2 weeks. They said as soon as they got it, I would receive a call for delivery. Well AGAIN over 2 weeks and heard nothing. Called AGAIN and they said they just received it to call the warehouse to schedule the drop off. At this point I'm aggravated because instead of them calling me, I'm again calling them!!

We scheduled the drop off for a few days later. That morning my husband put the old broken loveseat by the door so it would be easier to the delivery men. They come in and immediately look confused. I asked if there was a problem. They said, "Are we picking up a couch or loveseat?" I told them the situation and they immediately said, "Ma'am there's another problem." I asked what it was and was informed that someone made a mistake and ordered me a couch, not a loveseat. HOW does this happen?? they explained that the communication at their stores are HORRIBLE! Mind you, these are ASHLEY FURNITURE employees saying this.

They told me they would call right away and have it fixed. I said, "Well can you leave the sofa in the meantime?" They stated that if they did and it got stained or anything happened, I could be charged. I told them to take it away then bc I have 2 small children and I'm not going to take the chance. They called the store in front of me to tell the manager. I was told AGAIN I would get a call to replace it. Well 2 weeks go by again and I HAVE TO CALL AGAIN bc I don't hear from anyone. They tell me it was back-ordered and would get to the warehouse the next week and I will get a call... Yeah right. I was also told they would send me a 25$ gift card for the inconvenience and the manager will personally call me on Saturday to inform me of the location of the couch! NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN.

Well another week goes by again and I hear nothing or receive a gift card so I call and speak to the store manager! He says he doesn't know why I didn't receive it so he will call to check on it and call me back and he also says, "Your couch will be at the warehouse tomorrow so they will call you!" I told him I do not believe anything this company says! He says he will personally guarantee it. WELL again another week and no gift card so I call again and this time I AM MAD!! He says, "The couch came in 4 days ago, no one called you?? I told them to call you!" Now I'm furious! I told him that no one ever called me anytime they said they would and this is unacceptable! It has been going on 4 months with no loveseat and they are barely 1 yr old!!!! He apologizes and yet again asks me to call and schedule the delivery! So I do.

I also told him I still haven't received my gift card. He says he will call to check on the card and call me right back. Well about 10 minutes later a woman calls me and very nicely tells me that she did send it but it got returned because she forgot to put the APPT #. I know accidents happen, but does anyone in this company know how to do anything right??!?! She tells me she can mail it to me again or I can pick it up! Well the store that I bought the furniture from and have been calling is only 10 minutes from my house so I tell her I would pick it up the following day. The next day I go to the store and ask my brother to go pick it up for me. He comes out and tells me that it's at the monkey junction store!! WHAT that's 30-40 MINUTES from where I live!!!

I call the store to figure out why it is there and why no one that I spoke with ever mentioned that store when all my communication is done through this store and I bought my furniture through this store, never once had any communications with the other store!! The woman who answered the phone was completely RUDE and nasty! She told me that she never talked to me and it wasn't her fault!! My point was I don't care who's fault it is, she should have just apologized and somehow fixed the issue, not gave me and attitude! She told me that she had already explained it to my brother and didn't understand why I was calling!!!! I was shocked by her attitude and asked to speak to the manager, conveniently he wasn't there!

When I explained my side of the situation, that I never spoke to anybody at the other store, didn't buy my furniture from that store, didn't call that store and never have been to that store, so why would I even think to go there? She did not care and continued to tell me it wasn't her fault! I was told the card will be at my store tomorrow. At this point I don't even know if I wasn't to go get it and deal with this store any longer! I am the most dissatisfied and annoyed with this company. I will NEVER EVER shop there again! I have been lied to every step of the way and giving nothing but attitude! It's going on 4 months and still no love seat and to boot, my couch is now sounding like it's going to break and I don't know if I even want to attempt to get it fixed! Clearly this couch is not the "high quality" they claimed it to be. I truly feel as if I was robbed for my $800!!

So I call Ashley, since they stand firm and promote the great quality and warranty. Which turned out to be a total loss. They don't stand behind their product at all, basically you're stuck! There is no refund or exchange. I will never purchase any of their furniture again.

I live in Houston and went to purchase a bedroom set and living room set at the Ashley store on San Felipe St and OMG the rudest "team leader" I've ever met. I told him if they do price match which he said yes. I gave him my paper statement from another furniture place and he said "Oh yea no problem." Well he comes back after 45 minutes of waiting with a statement for a DIFFERENT kind of bedroom set that I didn't ask for. After asking him again if he was price matching the one I had gave him when I walked in he said "Oh you really wanted that one. OK let me see."

So I wait another 30 minutes for him to come back yes with the same price I had gave him but was not including "mattress, chest, or dresser" and I was like "Wow wow but you're not including those items that at the other place had included in the statement I gave you." And in his words he said "Well then go and get them from over there," and walked away from me very unprofessional. Never in my life has that happen to me and I will NEVER purchase from an Ashley store EVER again.

So I decided it was time to buy a new bedroom set, after not having one since I was a kid. Went all out and bought the Shay one. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Total cost with everything $3500. Totally worth it (in my mind). Had a great sales guy who promised me the world. Went into the store on 02/21/15. I was told the bed was on backorder but I could have everything else by 02/28/15. I asked the sales guy, if I waited for it to ALL be delivered together, when can I expect delivery? He said I could have everything on 03/08/15. I thought that was a bit long but I said ok. March 8 comes along and I get everything but my bed. Actually I got the headboard rails but not the foot board. WTH? Didn't he promise me the extra week I waited would guarantee my bed? I was furious.

Called the store. Asked to speak to the manager. I got a moron who didn't care what I said. He said "So sorry you won't get the entire bed until 03/17/15?" WHHATTTT? I asked to speak with someone above him. I got transferred to another manager who actually listened to me and at least, acted like he cared. Promised to call me that monday 03/09/15 which he did only to say that the earliest he could get me my bed was 03/14/15. I agreed and he "SUPPOSEDLY" was going to credit the delivery fee $129.00. He said he'd call me on Tuesday 03/10/15 to give me the final details. No call on Tuesday. Then on Wed 03/11/15 another moron called me telling me the warehouse had been calling me for days. I was like "NOPE sorry no one has called me." She hung up on me.

I called back. She basically had no idea what she was calling me about and hung up on my again. Seconds later the manager I had been dealing with called asking what I needed? I didn't even call them. Then he proceeds to tell me my bed won't be delivered until Monday 03/16/15. WOW... really? So now I have to take a day off of work to get my bed. And with reading all these other reviews I have a feeling I will take the day off for nothing. I am this close to calling the better business bureau or my lawyer for some sort of breach of contract. I will sue them. This is ridiculous. Ashley is such a HUGE company to have this going on and have such incompetence. I should have gone to Living Spaces just like I had intended or gone to a mom and pop store. Oh yeah and my furniture is all scratched up. I was supposed to get a call to arrange a date for them to come and fix it... tick tock... I'm still waiting.

I contacted Ashley - told them this is unacceptable and they said it was restored to showroom condition. Well if you call this showroom condition where they took the old cushions and strapped them under the springs and also the under frame is cracked. They are mistaken. They called, told them I had to work. We reschedule delivery for that Saturday. They tried to deliver anyway! They came on the Saturday with only part of my order, said the rest of it was delivered earlier that week. Called them they said they had already sold my couch to someone else. It would be 1 to 2 months to get another one. I told them to just cancel the whole order and come get it. They went ahead and scheduled a pickup for 1 month from then. I ordered a bedroom suite - and paid close to $3000 for it. I was told I would get "white glove" delivery with this. In my mind this means a very clean delivery with no issues. On the day the furniture came, there were 2 people that came. The furniture was covered in dust from the warehouse it came from. They began to set up the bed (with under bed storage) and drawers and told me that 2 of the drawers on the bed did not close properly. When we looked at the, the rails appeared warped and bent. The delivery driver did call the distribution center in front of me and we ordered the 2 drawers that were damaged. We went up to inspect the rest of the furniture and they had left a grease spot on my brand new carpet which they did immediately clean. They did not wear booties at all coming into my house.

The first question they asked when they entered was if they could borrow a power drill as theirs was dead. When they were supposedly screwing in the bed slats, there was one on the end that was not screwed in and you could tell they had tried but gave up. So we have one loose bed slat. Upon the delivery driver leaving we discovered an additional drawer that did not close properly. I called the distribution center back immediately and left a message. I then called my sales rep at the store where the purchase was made. All she did was transfer me to the distribution center. I sent pictures and called several more times. Of course - they never got my pictures so I had to send them again! Still no call back, no help from the sales rep.

I finally got a call back from the distribution center who told me she would talk to her manager regarding compensation for my trouble and would get back to me at the end of the day. I heard nothing - this was on a Friday and I had to track her down on Tuesday before I could get any kind of information. The distribution center manager offered a $50 store gift card and my drawers will not be in until April which is a month and a 1/2 after getting my furniture. I am furious!!! Ashley will never get my business again!!!

If my order is really being held up for the reasons another store, I was hoping to get the same set from, told me, it maybe be MONTHS before I get her furniture. My problem is not with the store I bought it from, but Ashley itself.

The sales rep has given the salesperson different ship times every week, sometimes two different ship times a week. I realize that there is a delay in shipments all around the world due to the longshoremen strike on the West Coast. I do believe that this is something that the Ashley reps need to tell the sales people, so the sales people can relay this to their customers.

I was so excited to get this sectional. But I have to say now that it's here I'm very disappointed in the quality. When we received it there was a slight tear in one corner which we took a picture of and I'm willing to live with. Also it was missing a foot which was sent out to us quickly. I have 11 grandchildren so I was looking for a durable sectional. My grandson took one of the cup holders out the other and I was really surprised to see that the hole wasn't even finished off. When I was in Costco yesterday I stopped to look at a very similar sectional but different brand. I lifted the cup holder out and it's completely finished off really nice.

Now they say you get what you pay for but this sectional is much less money and the quality is by far better. The underneath of the entire sectional has not been finished at all. I'm really disappointed I wish I had looked locally so I could have checked things that you don't see in the pictures they display. To send it back would be a nightmare. We had curbside delivery and I must warn you that means they leave the furniture wrapped and on pallets. I'm a senior so I had to hire help to get it in my home. So I'm sure I would have to get it back outside to return it. I'm stuck but I'm writing this so if someone else is consider getting your furniture through the Internet, think long and hard about it.

Buying my first piece of furniture, I was looking forward to an exciting experience but it turned out horrible when buying from Ashley Furniture. Salesman was professional but there was some "miscommunication" between my sales associate and myself and I had $2000 of extra items added to my ticket that I specifically did not ask for. I was not pleased with this since I am already stretching my budget to afford new living room couches. I was expecting my total sale price to come to just over $2000 but when I went to pay I was told I owed almost $5000!!! Fast forward 3 weeks to my delivery date. I purchased a 6 piece sectional and a coffee table. After the first day of having the couches I noticed that 2 pieces were completely broken in the back.

I called the service number and they sent a technician to my house to see if they can "fix" my couches. In the meantime, I've also had my coffee table break with one of the wheels breaking off of the bottom. I haven't had this furniture for 3 weeks and 3 of the 7 pieces I purchased are now broken. I'm still waiting for the replacement pieces and a replacement wheel for my coffee table.

In summary, I spent $2,000 for broken couches that are still broken 3 weeks after receiving them and the last thing I want is to pay that amount of money for couches that require fixing. I would have bought from an outlet store had I wanted refurbished furniture. I am fearful for the longevity of my recent purchase and I would really like a full refund for my purchase. On February 18, 2015 I went to the Fairfield, NJ store to look at a sectional sofa I saw online and was interested in buying. I had called the day before and I got a price of $2525. I went to the store to see what it actually looked like and Thank God I did. That thing was humongous. It would not have fitted in my living room. So I looked around the showroom for something more suitable and I found a nice sectional. The salesman was nice enough and he gave me a decent price of $1168 (10% discount, free delivery). He told me I could have it by Saturday, February 21. I told him I would be back the next day to pay in full. That was February 19th.

I went back to the story as promised and paid the amount in full in cash. He told me that the schedule was booked for 2/21 and the next available delivery date was Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Okay not too much of a big deal for me, gave me more time to get rid of the old furniture and to clean the rugs. Tuesday comes and I received a phone call from the delivery guy at 6:30 am. He is on his way, he will be there in 30 minutes. Great!!! That is when the problems started.

He got there a little after 7 am and he came upstairs and told me that they could not deliver it because the pieces would not fit in the elevator and they were not allowed to carry it up the stairs. He said he would call his dispatcher. I spoke with the dispatcher and at first she was like, "we can give you a refund or you can go to the store and pick out another piece". HUH!!!! I think she got her wires crossed. I explained to her it was not that I did not want the sectional, the problem was that the driver said he could not bring it up the stairs.

She me that was not true, that they were only allowed to bring it up 3 floors for free. To bring it up the remaining 2 flights it would cost $10 per piece/per floor. That was not in the contract nor told to me by the salesman but okay $40 more was not going to kill me. She spoke to the driver again and told him what to do and that the store would contact me about the additional charge.

Now the nightmare begins -- they bought up the first piece, the chaise part of the sectional. As soon as they put it down I knew there was a problem. I told the driver that the chaise would be facing the wrong way and to stop what he was doing. I get back on the phone with the dispatcher and told her what the problem was she said to refuse the order and call the store when they opened at 10 am. I refused to order and the driver took the piece back to the truck.

I call the store promptly at 10 am but there was no answer, so I called back again at 10:30 and explained to customer service what the problem was and they put the salesperson who sold me the piece on the phone. I told him about the problem with the chaise, he told me when I went home to face my television (which was opposite of where the old couch was) when I first went to the store and tell him the side the chaise should be on. Okay, if you are facing the television the chaise would have been on the left. However, he got it wrong. I should have been facing the wall where the old couch was and that would have put the chaise on the right side (which was correct). I explained to him that he got it wrong and I need the order corrected ASAP. He profusely apologized and told he will call me back in a few minutes.

2 hours go by -- no call. I called the store back and asked to speak with a manager. Manager gets on the phone and I explained to her what happened and expressed my disappointment with the salesman as he had not called me back. She offered me a credit on the purchase, I told her I paid cash and she told me that she would have a check sent to me. She said all that needed to be done was that the pieces needed to be reversed. She would work on getting the order fixed and would call me back with a delivery date. I explained to her that I took a day off from work for the delivery and there was no way I would allow for my daughter to be home to receive the delivery being that it was screwed up the first time. I told her I could only receive the new order on the weekend. She said she understood and would call me back in a few minutes.

2 hours go back. I call the store again and was told she was with a customer and she would call me back. Another hour goes by and she finally calls. By now it's 3pm in the afternoon. Nothing has been resolved, the salesman never called and I am pissed. I started yelling at her about how terrible their customer service was and how it was very unprofessional to keep customers waiting for hours to fix an order that was the mistake of the salesman to begin with and that the salesman did not return my call since 10 am. She apologized and again offered a credit for my trouble, I told her it was not about the money. It was the fact that no one is working on my problem. She promised to call me back within the hour. She called me at 4:30 pm and told me that she got the order corrected. However, they would not be able to put me on the schedule for a Saturday Delivery until March 7th. I just lost it.

I told her there was no way that I was going to wait nearly 2 weeks for a delivery when the problem was their fault. I asked her if she could put me on a conference call with the dispatcher, no response - CRICKETS!!!.... She put me on hold and again came back with the same response, they were booked up for 2/28 and the best they could do for a Saturday delivery was 3/7. I told her that was not acceptable. She put me on hold again and came back with a compromise -- she would check with the warehouse the next day 2/25 and see if there were any cancellations for Saturday 2/28. I told her that was unacceptable as she was not scheduling me for any delivery date and if I waited for her until tomorrow the next available Saturday may get filled up and I would end up having to wait longer.

Finally, I told her if she could assure that I would be the first on the list for a weekday delivery then I would go into work late to wait for the delivery but there was no way I was waiting until 3/7. She put me in for Tuesday 3/3. Again I mentioned her my dissatisfaction with the salesman for not calling me back at all the entire day. She said she would speak to him. I did not get a call from him until 6:30 pm that night... 8 hours after my initial call to him. I called the warehouse myself on 2/25, 2/26 and 2/27 to see if there were any cancellations. I think the dispatcher had sympathy on me because she put me in for 2/28 (Saturday) and given the time for delivery to be between 7am - 11am.

I received my sectional on 2/28 and they were there at 7am and done by 7:15 am. They bought the pieces up the stairs without calling me and they put it together perfectly. If you ever get into an issue with this company, do not let customer service, the salesman or the store manager dictate to you what can or cannot be done. Take matters in your own hands and you will get what you want.

I also purchased the protective warranty for five years from GBS warranty services that covers frame, structural and upholstery damage. The material has held up well over the last three and a half years. And yes I have kids; six to be exact. Recently, one of the seating places on the sectional has started to peel and wear. I figured I'm still under my five year warranty, let me give them a call (GBS that is). I'm sure I don't have to tell you what happened, as it’s been said over and over on this site. Yes, it's not covered because it’s not top grade leather, but yet they cover burned upholstery, ripped or torn fabric/upholstery and even stained upholstery.

Well I didn't buy upholstery, I bought DURABLEND and expect to be covered for DURABLEND fabric/upholstery (whatever name you want to cover/call it with). Why else would a consumer buy warranty? Certainly not for materials they don't have. Long story short, don't waste time on warranties. Don't let Ashley/Regency talk you into buying warranties that they know you can't use. And don't believe them when they tell you it’s better than... BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. They're liars and I hope they have warranty coverage for when they burn in hell and it’s not covered.

Well all I can say is -- buyer beware! Ashley Furniture has such horribly deceiving policies just to ensure a sale. I purchased over $12,000 in furniture and items weren't delivered on time. When we tried to cancel and return an undelivered portion, they refused. They stated that you have to cancel your order within 48 hrs of purchase to get a refund (even though it can take them weeks to deliver), even though they didn't deliver on time (they actually defaulted on their promise...but I am to be held to the fine print). I told them I still had 3 rooms to furnish...about $30,000 more to spend...didn't matter! They simply refused to refund 1 stupid chair that they hadn't even delivered yet. I am held hostage by their policies...so frustrating!! Do believe I will be taking my business elsewhere! They simply do not care about their customers! Buy at your own risk!

We bought a matching couch and love seat from Ashley Furniture in Frederick MD on November 8th 2014. It was delivered 2 weeks later. Two weeks after that, a zipper on the arm of the couch fell apart and broke. WE did not touch the zipper; only thing I assume is when the delivery person put it together, he somehow may have damaged it as the zippers used on this couch are very flimsy. Any how we called the company and the manufacturer. They were supposed to send a technician to fix it, but then a week later said we were not in their service area. I just see this as them avoiding this problem. I recommend to everyone to avoid this business, if you buy from them just know that they do not honor their warranties on their furniture. We even went through the BBB and still got blown off!! Only thing left now is a lawyer to sue them. The company where the furniture came from is Mid Atlantic Furn. Dist. 7900 cedarville rd Brandywine MD 301-782-3800.

I made the mistake and trusted Ray **, a salesman at the Santa Maria, CA store when he had me initial and sign a sales agreement. I was not sure that the reclining sofa and loveseat would fit into our mobile home. He assured me that I had 30 days to decide so I signed unfortunately without reading each and every word on the document. The furniture turned out to be too big and I went back to the store 3 days later where the salesman told me he would ask the manufacturer to make the frame smaller. Another lie since Ashley only makes a certain model with a certain fabric as the manager later told me. It was when I was trying to get a refund that I was told, and shown on the agreement, that the "Sale is Final" as of Dec. 31.

That the salesman lied and told me I had 30 days before the sale became final and had told me that they'd make the fame smaller didn't seem to matter to the sales manager. He did tell me he would put a stop to the order and I could pick something else except there wasn't anything on the floor that I liked. I left the store with the sales manager assuring me he would call when they had new inventory. I didn't hear and felt uneasy about the whole thing, so I contacted my credit card company and lodged a complaint. I received several calls from the girls at the desk updating me on my order, an order the manager said he'd stopped!! I requested to talk to Jonathan **, but he was always busy and never returned my calls. I also contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint.

This has been ongoing since Dec. 31 and is still not resolved. Ashley, Santa Maria, has supplied both the BBB and Am.Ex. with the signed sales agreement which I was duped into signing. If the salesman had been honest and told me I was signing a final sale document as of Dec.31, I would never have signed since I wasn't sure about the size of the pieces. I cannot accept the furniture because it is too big. How can a company take my money with such deceitful practices? I have never lodged a complaint about a charge on my credit card and have always paid my bills on time, so this is not a frivolous endeavor for me.

I went in looking for a new living room set, we were helped within 5 minutes of walking in to the store. The young man that helped us was very nice and had no problem showing us around the store. So we finally found a set we liked and purchased it in cash that day. We were told by the young man that helped us that we should get our furniture in 3 weeks but they say a month just to be safe.

Well we purchased our furniture on the 23 of January and now it is the 25 of Feb, and they have not even contacted us one time. I did however contact them about a week and a half ago and they said all they were waiting on was one piece of the sectional we ordered. I told them that they could go ahead and deliver the rest of the furniture and I would just pick up the one piece myself. The young lady said that was fine and she would have the delivery department contact me, they have not contacted me and I have been waiting for almost two weeks now. I called again and asked when the one piece of furniture I was waiting one was going to arrive, and they told me it would not be until March 4.

This place has some of the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. I got my other living room set from La-Z-Boy and never had any problems like this. I got my bedroom set at Thomasville and they took 3 months to deliver my furniture, but they made that clear when I purchased my bedroom set. I do not mind waiting but at least be honest about it, and when people call you and you say you will call them back, CALL THEM BACK. Also, my furniture from the other two stores survived 3 moves and one was to Germany from Arizona.

I am going to go back to buying my furniture from honest and deserving companies. I can only warn you not to go to this store what you do is up to you, but you have been warned. Also make sure pay special attention to the two positive comments on this website, they are from obscure names and no photo. I think the store employees or management posted those comments, just something to think about.

UPDATE!!! I went in to the store at 4:30 pm because I never received a phone call from the store manager (I called at 10:00 am). When I arrived, I was immediately approached by Rob the salesmen who sold me my furniture. Once again, very pleasant and personable, he asked why I was back and if he could help me. I told him what had happened and he looked my order up in the computer and explained to me that they had only received half my order and the rest was scheduled to arrive on March 5th. I thanked him and went back to the service desk to speak with whoever I needed to in order to cancel my order.

A lady at the desk looked up my order and just confirmed what the salesmen already told me. I explained to her that I wanted to cancel my order because I had been mislead and deceived too many times and I had not even received my furniture yet. The manager walked over (the owner's daughter/tall,slender with dark hair), I did not get her name, but she told me she know she was suppose to call me but just did not have the time. I once again explained what happen to her and she said she did not know who I spoke with that told me my furniture was in and that they probably just misread the computer. We talked for about 30-45 minutes and in the course of our conversation, she revealed that not only did she in fact know who (Ashley, an actually employee's name) I spoke with, but it was annotated in the computer.

I cannot count how many times the employees of this store lied to me and now even the manager was not being honest with me. SO I PAID JUST OVER $600.00 in SO CALLED RE-STOCKING FEES. I NEVER EVEN SAW THE FURNITURE!!!! Now get this, they did not even receive all my furniture, they only had half of it and I still had to pay 30% of my total purchase. They basically stole $300.00 from me since they did not have to send all my furniture back only what they had actually accepted. I do not know what you are willing to pay in order to not deal with the dishonest people at this store but I will take my money and businesses to La-z-boy where I know the quality is very good and the people are honest. I owned La-z-boy furniture before and sold it for $900.00 eight years later, can anyone say that about Ashley Furniture.

Oh and I challenge anyone at Ashley furniture to dispute what I have posted on this website. PLEASE TRY AND SAY THAT ANY OF THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!

I am also writing the company, however since this offers me a forum as well I will take it. Customer Service with the Ashley Furniture Store here in Pflugerville, TX started off great, the in-store staff was knowledgeable and polite. The delivery process however almost sent me into cardiac arrest. This company bought the cheapest telephone equipment money can buy. The system immediately indicates that you will be holding because everyone is busy assisting other customers (probably true since they suck at logistics), then you wait for at least 30 minutes, someone comes on the line and tells you to hold again (another 30 minutes), because the goal is to have you hang up. However, this is the secondary issue.

Bought furniture in-store and advised store that I needed the bill to go to different address than the furniture (part-year resident) so wanted bill delivered to an address that permanent resident lived, so indicated no problem. This is the clue to my entire experience with Ashley, so on Wednesday received a call from Sales Manager telling me that the first delivery date for Thursday would not be met, would Friday be okay. I agreed to Friday, no problem. Friday around delivery time, I felt the need to check on delivery (my sixth sense told me there was an issue), called and after the hours wait on the telephone, customer service indicated that furniture order shipped to billing address - Really?

Call store who indicated not where they told them to send would investigate, of course that took the rest of the day and a trip to the store. Finally received call indicating that someone from logistics changed the address - once again - Really? Per store now they would send out to correct address on Saturday (advised them that I had a prior engagement and needed to be gone by 3:00 p.m.), assured me that my delivery would be between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Called on Saturday to customer service department and after another hour telephone call was told, "No your order is expected to be delivered between 12 noon and 4 pm." At this point my blood pressure is probably at stroke level and I hang up. Well at 3:00 pm with no delivery yet, I call the customer service one hour wait line once again and am told that my delivery number was 10 and they are at stop 7 and running behind, maybe by 5:00 pm delivery would be made.

Needless to say the customer service commitment from this company is horrible. Ashley indicates on their script (while doing the 30 minute wait), that they take pride in ability to deliver a quality product with quality logistics is a joke. They should terminate from the top down whomever is running that show and start over. This issue had a simple fix, that would have cost the company less than $100.00 and insured a customer that would sing their praises instead of tell everyone how pissed off they are with Ashley and their service. The company made their mistake my problem and made me feel as if I was paying for that mistake not only with my money, but with my time.

Once they confirmed our already scheduled delivery we gave away our furniture because we did not want two sets of living room furniture in our house. Two days later Ashley's truck never came. We called and called and called, but the store would not answer nor would customer service. We left messages and no one would call us back.

Finally we were able to get a hold of the delivery drivers and they said that they only had a partial delivery for our house so they were not going to come until all of our furniture came in ONE MONTH AWAY! All of this is unacceptable. Still not a single person would answer our calls at the store or customer service. I had to drive over an hour away to the store to fight with them to get my money back. Big Lots would give you better service than this company. I would not recommend this to ANYONE! I talked to their corporate office and they have so many complaints about this store and since they are privately operated they could not help me but they said to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. About a year and half ago myself and wife bought a living room set (sofa+love seat+coffee table+2 end tables+2 lamps+area rug) from Ashleys. The sales lady sold us an extra warranty from store. We was told warranty covers Everything except pet damage plus the manufacturer warranty Over $1200. After about 6 mo. the sofa sank in, we thought it was just a spring but when we called Ashley's they sent us a form to fill out. We sent it back. Then finally after about a month a tech guy comes over looks underneath and shows us the frame was busted and tech guy was blaming us!

I can assure you we did not! It looked like someone took a sledgehammer and whaled away, my 2 kids combined weight is barely 125 lbs and there was no visible damage on outside of sofa to give hint that damage came from outside of sofa. The frame was sticking out so bad from back of sofa that it cut through leather and made a hole in the wall!! Sooo me thinking that I got a double warranty I'm covered right!!! Wrong.

Ashley's says it's a manufacturing problem, when I call manufacturer they say it's the store's problem! And so they keep bouncing us back and forth, tell us we need to send in forms only to get a reply back after 30 days saying same thing "SORRY IT'S NOT OUR FAULT call the other guys"... And the worse part is after about a year the leather started to crack and deteriorate and cotton started to come out over the course of 6 mo. (year and half total) the sofa AND the love seat leather got so bad it was embarrassing when people would come over, we had to cover them. They looked like we found them on street corner and picked them up.

We recently moved from that home. The sofa and loveseat was so bad we just left them in the house. We couldn't get the sofa even if we wanted to cause sofa would not fit through door cause of the frame was sticking out that much... My guess is from warehouse the forklift that moved sofa cracked the frame and as we sat on it, it got worse till it finally gave way... as for the leather cracking and deteriorating... I have no idea, they shouldn't do that within a year... and Ashley's warranty is a joke. DON'T BUY!

Also it's full of little fuzzy balls.. Just awful customer service!! Just run!! Purchased 6/23/13. Today's date 2/13/15.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at any business in my entire life. I wish we would have looked at reviews before going to Ashley's (Rosedale). Not only did they violate the terms of the contact (delivery between 2-8 weeks), but we were never called to be told of the delayed delivery. We had to be the ones to call. After almost 3 months, we asked a refund for the full amount paid upfront. $1,607, 4 visits to Rosedale, and 3 months of horrible customer service later, we had to go back to square one. Needless to say we went to a different furniture store. We paid a little more, but it was completely worth it, and we received our furniture after only 2 weeks with wonderful customer service.

The manager apologized & told me that someone at the store mixed up the last two numbers on the paperwork & that's why the wrong sofa was delivered. I was furious! I sent it back & Mr ** told me he could refund me half my delivery fee & expedite the order for the correct sofa. Nothing else could be done. I have spoken to four other people since that date trying to get my furniture or my full refund, for their mistake, No results & consistent pushing me off to the next person. No resolution. Not to mention the dining room table is unleveled, while the right door on the server does not close completely. Furious, yet they want to send a repair technician for this on March 26, 2015, for merchandise that was delivered defective.

I still have not received a phone call nor my furniture! They have caller identification so now when I call I get a recording saying all representatives are busy with other callers. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life & this is the most enlightening experience. Please don't waste your time or money on any Ashley Furniture/Regency Furniture merchandise.

How can these people stay in business with their shoddy furniture and unscrupulous ways of scamming consumers? My story starts the day after Thanksgiving 2014, when another "partial" order was delivered. I had received my mattress, awesome, loved it, still love it. Got what I paid for. Next the bed and chest arrived, perfect chest, love it. The bed beautiful...except...the headboard, main eyepiece of the bed...defective. Blonde wood, with a big black square smack in the middle! Eyesore, completely hideous. I know it's mass produced, but come on! Went to the south Austin, Texas Ashley store immediately with pics, Michael the manager assured me a "defective" exchange would be made.

Four weeks later of back and forth, delivery setup calls then cancelled delivery calls every two days from Ashley (extremely confusing). Checking on my headboard status, someone dropped the ball and one end did not know what the other end was doing. Finally straightening it out, I was now reassured by the New Braunfels call center that my headboard would be exchanged. On the final delivery of end tables, I asked about my headboard, no idea from the delivery guys. They snapped pics, mentioned it was also not a finished piece of wood, emailed the pics, and I actually spoke to Kathleen on the phone while she looked at the photos and agreed about the hideous black square AND unfinished wood.

Long story short...of course the paperwork didn't end up in the right hands, of course they discontinued this model and sold out of all remaining headboards. They completely SCREWED me out of "quality" furniture and stuck me with a $1400 bed that looks like thrift store quality. Their fault, I did everything by the book, and this is how they do business. I've paid them on time everything I owe, and this is how they do business. They offered $120 to compensate for their mistake. Insulting. The whole bed cost me $1400, nobody purchases a headboard without the rest of the bed. I can't even do an exchange for another set because all they sell is dark furniture! Ripped off, that's how Ashley Furniture does business. Never again, never recommending them, worst shopping experience ever.

First of all, let me start off by saying you don't tell customers to go elsewhere... now, onto my main reason for posting this. I walked into Ashley here in Las Vegas off of Decatur. When I walked in, I knew right away what piece of furniture I wanted as I saw it online (no price posted). I was met by a sales associate who was nice, at first. I walked back and found out they had a special deal where I can get 50% off of any items in the store. Being a little suspicious that something was fishy, I found out what the product number was (B140-46) and did some research online, as well as called a couple other furniture stores locally that carried the same piece. The 50% off was off of the retail price of the item, which was $498.99 according to their tag on the furniture.

After doing some online research and calling to other stores in my city, I found out that the actual retail amount of that piece was $279.99 at a much more low end store, which couldn't possibly do the volume Ashley did. So, what did this tell me? It told me that as expected, Ashley furniture marked their "retail" price up from around $279 to $498, then marked it down 50%, bringing it to $248. While this is still better than $279, the other furniture stores had their furniture LISTED at this price, with lots of room to work. I asked to speak to the manager at Ashley and she told me that if I could find it cheaper elsewhere that I needed to do it because she refused to go lower than their sales price. She was very rude and ignorant the entire time and very snooty. We argued a lot. That was the breaking point.

I went to Walker and got the same dresser for 225. Stay far far away from Ashley. They are scam artists. They are very rude. They are not in it for the customer, just their commission. If you buy here, you will get screwed here too. Save your money and give it to a furniture store that cares about their customers and wants returning customers...

After numerous phone calls and waiting on hold by the delivery department for approximately an hour each time, I was finally told I would get my furniture on Jan 20. On Jan 20, I received a phone call from the actual deliverymen saying they only had my mirror and nightstand. I told them I didn't want a partial order and to bring it all. No one bothered to call me.

Again I called and waited about an hour each time, only to be told that someone would call me back. They never did. After several more phone calls and waiting on hold for hours, I was finally told my delivery would be Feb 3rd. I went into the store where I purchased on Sunday to make my final payment. I asked them to check to make sure my delivery was scheduled for Feb 3. She said it looked like it was, but she would call me back the following day to let me know for sure.

Guess what? She never did. The billing was so screwed up. They couldn't even take my final payment. Today, I was supposed to get my furniture between 10:00 and 2:00. The delivery people woke me up on 9:00 AM. They only had the chest and nightstand. No headboard, footboard, dresser or mirror!!! In the meantime, all of my old furniture has been sitting in the hallway since January 19th, as it is very heavy and I didn't want to have to move it all back in my bedroom, only to have to move it back out again. Well I will start with the hour long, on hold, phone calls again today. I am furious and sick and tired of Ashley Furniture!!!

I'm sorry to hear of all the bad experiences. If it's any consolation, I got 'em back for you. I waited in line on New Year's Day to purchase a little bistro table dining set for $15. The flyer I'd received showed four stools, but the salesperson said only two were included. Eh, ok, I can use two. They tried to get me to take delivery @ $99. For a $15 set. Um, no. So they told me it would be ordered and I could pick it up in 2-6 weeks. 10 days later I got the call and scheduled the pick-up. I gave the kid my receipt which shows one table and two stools.

So the kid brings out one big box (table) and two smaller boxes. He looks at his paperwork and says "One table and four stools". I said "No, I'm only supposed to have 2 stools. See? It's right here on my receipt". He looked at my receipt, looked at his paperwork and says "Mine says you get four stools". Who am I to argue??? So I wrote "Received four stools under duress" on the receipt, took them home, put them all together and they're lovely! Two days later I got a call. "We need you to return two stools as your order was wrong". I said "I've put them together and I'll deliver them to you for a $99 fee. When would you like them?" After much frustration and a few threats on their part, I just hung up. Haven't heard a thing back from them. :)

I have had a water bed for the past 10 years that just started to slightly leak when two people are laying in it. So me and the fiancee decided to go make our first "joint purchase" and get a mattress. Last Saturday, we headed over to Ashley Furniture in Bel Air, MD. My future MIL was with us also since we also went to the place we are booking for the reception earlier in the day. The MIL said that Ashley Furniture was having some kind of big sale so we decided to go see what they had.

When we walked in we were greeted by a younger gentleman whose name is Brandon **. He informed us that "everything is 50% off and all prices are negotiable." When we finally made it to the mattress section I had to test out every mattress twice but we were able to find one that both of us were happy with. The price was around $1700 but then you get 50% off. I was able to get the mattress with the upgrade riser instead of the box frame for $750 + tax and $20 to have it delivered to the store for pickup.

I asked if they had one in the back and that the mattress is IN STOCK. I was told "Yes it's in stock but it's at the Waldorf warehouse. Since it's coming from Waldorf it will be here in 3-5 days for you to pickup." I was fine with the 3-5 days since I was driving my car and couldn't take it home right then anyways.

Well last night I decided to go ahead and drain the water bed and clear it out to make room for the new bed. I was going to pick up my new mattress as soon as they opened in the morning. I thought for sure it would be there since it has been 7 days since I purchased it and it's coming from Waldorf.

The store didn't open until 10 this morning so I called right away to tell them I will be on my way soon to come get it. The woman on the phone asked for my name and number to make sure it's there. She then informs me that "it is expected to arrive there on the 17th." I told her that I was told 3-5 days when I purchased it, there must be a mistake. She said "it's on back order which takes up to 3-8 weeks."

I told her there must be a mistake and that this isn't what I was told when I purchased the mattress. She then went and got the sales person, Brandon **, who sold me the mattress. He gets on the phone and says "I never said 3 days I tell all my customers 3-8 weeks." I tell him that I am 100% certain that he said it would take 3-5 days. I also reminded him that he said it is in stock and would be coming from the Waldorf warehouse. He then replies "I never said that, I said that we have a warehouse in Waldorf but the mattress can come from any of the warehouses. We have warehouse down in (forget the state) and it could come from there." At this point I am biting my tongue and I tell him that I will be calling right back.

I hurry and call my fiancee who has the receipt and is at her parents' house and tell her what is happening. She said that he definitely said 3 days; then she went and asked her mother how long he said, and she also confirmed that we were told 3-5 days. I tell her to call and talk to them because I am all fired up. Also if that is really the case and it's backordered, then cancel it and we will go get a mattress somewhere else. She calls over and asks to talk to the manager, the first thing she tells me is that he was a real jerk over the phone.

When I signed the receipt/paperwork for it, it says all back orders are 3-8 weeks and all sales are final. Apparently they consider anything not currently in the store to be "backordered"; the person at the desk who took our payment was supposed to inform us this. Well they won't give us a refund and I am screwed until this mattress gets here.

I was never told that any item not in the store is considered backordered. Then on top of it they are denying everything they said to us when we were purchasing the mattress. These employees will say anything just to get the sale. Then once they have your money you find out they were lying to you the whole time and there is nothing you can do. So now it looks like I am going to be stuck on an inflatable mattress because of my own stupidity (Trusting them) and not being aware of their schemes. Anyone looking for furniture please avoid business with Ashley Furniture in Bel Air, MD.

I purchase a China Cabinet from Ashley Furniture Home Stores that cost 1900 Dollars. I was told by the salesman that the piece would be inspected prior to shipping and that it would arrive in showroom condition. When the furniture was delivered it was not in showroom condition, it was damaged and very dirty. I pointed out the damages to the driver who then contacted the warehouse. He put me on the phone with the dispatcher and I was advised to keep the piece and that someone would be coming to my home to repair it and if it could not be repaired it would be replaced.

Someone did come, he told me that the furniture could not be repaired and should be replaced. He also told me that Ashley would contact me. When they didn't I called them and they told me the exact opposite of what the man told me. They said his report stated that the china cabinet was not damaged and that what I was seeing was the natural beauty of the wood.

When I asked to see the report since it was different from what I was told I was told they couldn't send it to me. I fought with them for three days and finally they agreed to replace the piece that was damaged. Again, I was told it would be inspected before being shipped. The piece came and again was damaged. This time I refused the piece. They would not take the one I already had in my home back nor would they refund my money. They said they would again replace it and it would be inspected before coming. I did get the third piece two and a half weeks after my initial purchase. I was disappointed in the quality of the furniture but I felt this was as good as it got. There are small imperfections in the wood and I am not 100% happy with it, but they were not going to take it back.

I was misled initially by the dispatcher who told me to keep the furniture and that it would be replaced. That was never their intention. I was misled by the salesman who told me it would come in showroom condition, this piece of furniture was not showroom material and I was misled by the website where they clearly photo shop the images of the furniture because the furniture I ordered and received in no way looked like the picture on line. Unfortunately, this piece of furniture was not in the showroom so I did not see it in person.

My experience with Ashley Furniture was the worst in my life time. Their employees on the phone were rude, non caring, untruthful and not interested in helping me other than to say you’re stuck with it. Only one person there was willing to help me in any way and there was only so much that she could do. I would not recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone and will never shop there again.

Asked several times if there were other conditions and were informed none. Went back on Sunday (1/26) and assisted by different salesperson. Finalized our order, but were informed that the 12-mth financing wasn't available because we chose discounted/clearance items (about 1k); but 6-mth was available. Unhappy with it, but understand. The store manager came up to explain. Very unhappy with him and his explanations. He claimed that the first salesperson was new employee and didn't know all the rules - lame excuse from any manager in any profession.

What upset me the most is that they ran my credit check even though he knowingly that we wanted 12-mth and the items we wanted were clearance items. I saw and heard the salesperson telling him, multiple times, the items we wanted and the total. The manager claimed that he still didn't know what we wanted to order - in his explanation (another lame excuse and flat-out lie). Had I known the 12-mth wasn't available to begin with, I wouldn't want to apply for credit. I am surprised Ashley would hire/keep an incompetent manager - fail to properly train the workers and use ignorance as excuse (didn't know what we order). I am very conscious about my credit score and am very disappointed with the fact that they ran my credit check. We didn't get the furniture but we did pick up several clearance items that day (wall decor).

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE (Falls Church, Virginia)!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT GETTING THE SALE, AND COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT AFTER SALE SERVICE CONSISTENT WITH OTHER REVIEWS. THEY WOULD GET ZERO STARS IF I COULD GIVE THEM THAT.

We purchased a sofa from Ashley furniture in Falls Church, VA last week. The sofa was a good deal at about 1/3 of the sticker price. We forgot, however, that you get what you pay for. Things started to go bad when we told them we live in a condo building which allows deliveries only from 9 am to 5 pm. The manager on duty promised to call the delivery people to make sure they knew we needed a delivery after 9 am and before 5 pm. Well, the day before the delivery rolls around and I get a message that I am scheduled for 3 pm to 7 pm! Apparently, the manager forgot to put in the delivery notes (although they were in the order notes) that I needed a delivery before 5 pm! After much arguing and calling back, I finally got a commitment that would happen.

Well the delivery day happens, and the sofa comes in a box. The delivery folks tell me it won't fit and don't try and remove the sofa from the box. Okay, fair enough, they give us a store credit for the amount of the order. We go to select our items and then we are told we have to pay for delivery again, EVEN THOUGH THEY NEVER DELIVERED ANYTHING! We were told by the cashier to come back in a half hour because only the store manager may be able to waive shipping.

We come back in about an hour, and the manager was with another customer so we were told to wait. The store manager whose command of English is not good (he used the word "elimination" instead of "liquidation") told us he had no authority to waive the shipping. I then ask why we were told by the cashier to come back, and she immediately jumps in saying she said he MAY be able to waive the shipping, yet his response was he didn't have the power. I brought up the fact that it's been waived in the past per another Yelp review of this store, and he says he can't during the "elimination" event. Really, they charge $150 for delivery when other stores charge less so they should be able to waive the delivery charge but the manager was adamant that he was helpless and we would have to call customer service if we didn't like his response. Really, he's the store manager and he's powerless? What kind of store operates like that?

I went to get new bedroom furniture for Christmas. We went on "Black Friday". They helped us and we did have a great saleslady. We walked all around and found the set we thought would be the best for us. We then went to look at mattresses. We found one we loved and purchased it with the electric base. We were told that the items would come in by 12/6. We received a call to schedule delivery and my husband took time off work to be there. The day of delivery they called to say the mattress and base weren't there. Did we want the rest? Well, what do you do with bedroom furniture with no mattress? I called the people that schedule the deliveries about a week later and was told by them that the mattress we purchased was discontinued. So back to the store to talk to the manager.

Because we had been sleeping on our old mattress on the floor (we got rid of our old stuff for the delivery) they said they would send us the floor model until the replacement of the one we bought was available. So, we said yes. When they delivered the set and the loaner mattress, I made them put in writing that it was a loaner only and not the mattress we purchased. Also, the chest dresser was damaged on the delivery and they couldn't deliver it. So, today is 1/21/2015. We purchased the day after Thanksgiving, and we still have yet to receive our dresser or new mattress. I was however told they are here finally. Just waiting to be scheduled for delivery. Still waiting...

I made the mistake twice shopping at Ashley and will never go there again. The first time, we purchased a sofa and love seat. The workmanship and quality on these items is so poor, but I was not very good shopper. They looked nice in the showroom, the price was cheap and my wife liked them. I just wanted to leave the store as soon as possible to go watch football. Needless to say, after several months of normal wear and tear, we had seams coming apart, flimsy wood inside breaking and Ashley not willing to fix the items even though we purchased a warranty.

The second time, we bought a table and bedroom set for my daughter. The table's top had scratches in it within 2 months and I have repaired the mattress support boards for my daughter's bed twice in the last six months. After fixing the bed tonight, I have noticed it was poorly constructed with cheap materials. At least now, moving forward, I will thoroughly check for craftsmanship and quality before ever I ever buy another piece of furniture again. I do know for a fact, I will never shop Ashley again, read the rest of the reviews on this site. Buyer, Beware, you are getting what you paid for.

Bought my furniture on 11/21 and was told delivery would be 12/10. On 12/9 they called & said delivery would be delayed until 12/17. Problem is, I had already gave my old furniture away so I had no living room or dinette. I have bought from Ashley since 2001 and never ever had a problem. I think that is when they first came into existence but since then, their products, sales personnel, customer service, etc. has all gone downhill. I got bits and pieces delivered at different times only b/c I called day after day demanding my furniture. They said everybody was in the same predicament and there was nothing they could do. Now I have a broken lamp since 12/15 and cannot get it resolved.

Please take my advice & DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY!!! Look at their reviews!!! You will have nothing but aggravation and frustration!! I left the store today in tears because they wouldn't give me the lamp they promised me, all I had to do was go to the store & pick it up!! Nobody told me I had to bring the broken one. Then they said they needed both of them & I said I am not driving all the way back home & they refused!! They should close all the Ashley Furniture Stores down. Poor quality furniture, sales personnel that don't give a damn!!! Go somewhere else, you will be so glad you did!! & I spent over $6,500 on my furniture purchase for a living room and dinette set. It was NOT CHEAP!!! & now I have only ONE LAMP!!

When we purchased a bedroom and living room set at Ashley Furniture in Frederick, MD, we told the sales representative we needed to purchase items in stock to get them as soon as possible. He allegedly checked the computer and phoned someone, assuring us we could expect the furniture in about a month. The paperwork said to expect delivery in 2-6 weeks. We paid a deposit and completed the full payment of $3900 one month later when we picked up wall art (cost $210). At that time, we were told most of the furniture had arrived but they were waiting for 2 items. We contacted them three more times during the second month yet no one could give us an estimated delivery date. The cause of the delay also changed - from the bed was received but the frame was damaged and the sofa was missing to the bed frame was fine but no mattress set or sofa.

Today, two months after ordering, the manager was unable to tell us when to expect the sofa ("it's freighted and out somewhere on the ocean"). They estimated we could possibly get the mattress set and all but the sofa "in another two weeks or so". We declined to accept their offer to deliver some of the furniture in about two weeks. What good is a bedroom set with no mattress & box springs and a living room set with no sofa? The manager did refund our $3,700 but did not seem to care at all about our inconvenience or losing us as customers. Based on our experience, do not recommend this store.

I had tremendous dissatisfaction and inconvenience on account of purchasing Ashley Signature Sofa set from their distributor in Dubai. The Quality of the Sofa did not meet basic expectations of a Sofa set. The store representative at Atrium furniture in Dubai insisted that we can select a Sofa from the catalogue and can be rest assured about its Quality. He gave us wrong commitment on the Quality and details of the Sofa set. We had to make all necessary arrangements to ship the Sofa from Dubai to UK within a span of 2 weeks of our stay in Dubai. I am not sure what Quality checks they have in place but the Sofa set which we have received clearly is not meant to be used else it will certainly be in pieces in two weeks.

First time in my life we have seen a Sofa set where there is no wood at the back and side of the Sofa set to support it. The fabric is clearly pasted with adhesive or couple of nails and is already sagging inside. Even if something light bumps into it the cloth does not come back to its original shape and understandably sags inside. The sides and back of the Sofa is suppose to look firm and strong. The tags clearly read: made in CHINA. If that is the case then price and market it accordingly.

The Quality of the wood is so cheap that I am at loss for words. My heart skips a beat when I think how much I have spent and what have I got in return. Does Ashley have checks on the prices or Distributors are selling per their whims and fancies. We suggest that you stop manufacturing these kinds of cheap Sofa sets and playing with people’s money and emotions. I wish full refund of my money i.e. 15000dhs spent on this Sofa set and compensation of all the unnecessary harassment and inconvenience caused to us on purchase of this item. I wish a suitable investigation to this purchase and a reply from someone Senior in Ashley furniture’s failing which I will approach the concerned for necessary actions.

I went in to the Ashley Furniture store in Clackamas, Oregon on Wednesday, November 5th and found the perfect sectional on the floor, exactly what I wanted. They were having a veteran's day sale, so I asked if we could get the discount since my boyfriend is a firefighter. They said no, that didn't count as service to our country. That was a little frustrating, but ok. So I got all the dimensions and went home to measure, and was told that if I ordered that day I could expect delivery on Dec. 12th. Went back two days later to order the couch and was told delivery would be delayed until Dec. 15th. Still seemed ok so I ordered it up. They made me pay in full just to order, wasn't even a custom piece. Thought that was weird since I wasn't expected to receive the couch for over a month, but they required payment in full.

I got called in December and told that the delivery of the couch was delayed until January 13th. Very frustrated and they didn't seem to care. I had counted on the couch to be here for the holidays. Then on January 11th, on a Sunday morning they called and told me that the couch was here and could be scheduled for delivery any time between Wed. the 14th to Saturday the 17th. I chose Saturday so I wouldn't have to miss work.

On Friday the 16th they called my boyfriend's phone, not sure why not mine, and left a message that one of the pieces of the 3 piece sectional was on backorder. So the next morning, on my scheduled delivery day, I called and asked if I was getting partial delivery or none at all. They said the left arm loveseat was the missing piece, after being on hold forever, and told me I could get the other two pieces delivered. I asked what the expected date of the other piece was and they said Feb. 8th but subject to change. I told them that given I had already been waiting almost 3 months for my furniture that I had concerns that I might never get the third piece. So I said I was deciding if I should just cancel my order and get my money back or keep waiting.

The customer service rep said I could not get my money back, I would have to go to the store and cancel the order and to a reselection and pick something else. I said "no thanks, put a manager on the phone because you have had over $1500.00 of my money for almost 3 months and I want a refund." They left me on hold for almost 20 minutes and finally said they would refund my card. I asked when I could expect the refund and they said it could take up to 7-10 days. It's been two days and I have not seen anything yet, hope it doesn't take as long to get a refund as it does to try to get furniture. I will never step foot in their stores again, and that's too bad because I was going to buy other furniture as well.

Still not here either. The three pieces of mission furniture all THREE WERE SHIPPED TO ME WITH DAMAGED PIECES, one has a warped drawer, the magnets for the doors are defective, one has permanent marker on it. The furniture repair guy says if you look at all three pieces you will find the same black marks and sure enough they are there. Now they want me to wait four to six weeks for parts. I asked the repair guy to put down the one end table as not repairable and send me a new one and he says Ashley furniture says that all furniture is fixable. I didn't pay 4000.00 for furniture that needs to be fixed and also didn't pay for furniture with black marks on it. I can tell you I would not buy from Ashley furniture again if it was 95% off. I bought new living room furniture 8 pieces in all - 2-3 pieces reclining couches and 2 over sized recliners, all in leather. ($4,500 worth). When we got it home and unwrapped it all, we noticed the quality of the furniture. It was so poor, Ashley Furniture should be ashamed. I thought they sent me factory seconds. The sewing seams did not match, the stuffing of furniture did not match, and was not even enough stuffing. When you sat in some of them, you sank almost to the floor, and needed help to get out. The construction is horrible made out of OSB board (chip board) glued together with a few staples, which in my opinion, if you jump on it, will fall apart. Absolutely not the same stuff on show room floor. Even China-made stuff is better than this. Then to get kicked again, I called Ashley to get a refund, they told me that they will not replace or refund anything (that is up to the store that sold me the furniture). So I called the store and they said no refunds, but Ashley will hire a repair tech, but there are none in my area, so I had to find someone who would be willing with and for Ashley. When the tech came out to estimate repairs, he thought this was older and in use for some time, because of the stuffing was worn out. He said all pieces would need to be re-stuffed.

After a while, he sent his estimate to store and to Ashley. Ashley agreed to send more stuffing to me, and pay tech to come out to my house and repair here, not take to shop to fix (about 2 days to do) and then pay what Ashley thought would be okay. No wonder why no one wants to repair stuff for Ashley. So I settled with furniture store well over a thousand dollars and got the furniture repaired and paid the repair tech myself. Long story short, if you want to spend a lot of money on crappy furniture, go to Ashley Furniture.

The absolute worst experience I have ever had with buying anything! So disappointed and still have no furniture. Our orders - yes, two of them, were placed on 11/9/14 and today - 1/13/15 I still have no living room furniture and the issue with our mattress/base has not been resolved. Ashley didn't have a problem cashing or taking the cashier's check for payment immediately. The people who have answers and can get things done never call back and make empty promises. No one has consistent information or can give us a true timeline. We get nothing but lies and delays - more of them every day. We ordered a mattress and adjustable base. They scheduled delivery for a Saturday, my husband took the day off of his commissioned job on the busiest day of the week. Only to have them never call back or show up.

After multiple phone calls to the warehouse, customer service and the store, and a trip back to the store - we did end up with delivery around 6 pm that day, only to get the wrong mattress! Ultra FIRM as opposed to the ultra PLUSH we ordered. Long story short, we ended up sleeping on what felt like a board for a full week before we ended up going into the store and taking a FLOOR MODEL just so we could alleviate the unbelievable back and neck pain my husband and I were experiencing by this time. Still, we do not have the updated invoice or information for this transaction. Though customer service calls at least once a week to deliver the mattress and base that they brought now 6 weeks ago. The wrong mattress by the way. Every time they call I ask for the status of our living room furniture. And every time they check I get a different ready or estimated date - I've been told every time that most pieces are in stock, but one or two were not in yet. I've been given no less than 6 different estimated delivery dates.

Then on 1/6 I received another call to schedule delivery of our wrong mattress - when I asked them to check on our sectional again, and the lady said "well it is all ready to be scheduled - let's schedule for 1/13/15." Skeptically, I agreed. I received an automated confirmation call on 1/9/15 confirming delivery for 1/13 at 12:30. Then it came. The call on 1/12 to let me know that they would be delivering everything except for the end piece with the left arm. This is a sectional! I do not want part of it, it does me no good. Yet another trip to the store... for the manager to assure us that it will be unloaded and it will arrive with the rest of the pieces. That he will confirm this and then call us first thing in the morning, prior to delivery. So here we are - still waiting, not really expecting a phone call at 10 am.

I am so over this - and now just thinking that every time I look at this furniture, I am going to think about nothing but all the headache it has been to get it. I am disgusted and feel like I have been taken advantage of in the worst way. We were promised that these pieces were made to order - all at the same time so they would be made from the same leather and stitching, etc - clearly a lie. We were told our delivery should be around 12/8 "but we will put 12/23 on the paperwork just to be safe and make sure you get it before Christmas." We were told so many things - all lies. Spent several thousand dollars. For nothing. And still no furniture.

We purchased a entertainment center from their store that once delivered, was installed crooked and parts upside down. They sent a service technician to correct the issues, but couldn't (on two different occasions). He informed me that the installation had damaged the entertainment center beyond what he could fix. Ashley's refused to refund my purchase and just offered to send out a different technician. The second piece of equipment came in, which was a dining room table, and upon setting a plate on the table, it broke. A piece of the table chipped right off from a plate. Ashley again sent out a service technician who patched the paint, but noted the scratch marks and build, saying it had manufacturer defects in it. He wrote in his report that it was defective and Ashley's refused to refund the purchase only offering a store credit. We couldn't find anything so are stuck with the table.

The last piece was a bunk bed set that was installed so poorly there was screws sticking out where my child slept. I had them remove the set and take it back, but again they won't refund the purchase. I have spoken with several employees, some are very concerned and others could care less. Now they won't even refund my money for this, are only offering a in store credit again. I have contacted their corporate and they state it's a local matter. Disputed the charge, but apparently when you purchase something, you sign saying they will only give store credit. So my credit provider had to put the charge back on my card.

Every time I have dealt with this company it has had a horrendous ending until I give up. How am I supposed to go back and spend $700 in a store such as this. As soon as you sign that purchase they could care less. I have a damaged entertainment center, a damaged table, (didn't mention I also have a sofa they won't warranty because it's not out of their store) and a non existent bedroom set that I still paid for. After walking laps around the store, sitting on every love seat, comparing color matches to a cushion I had brought with me, I made my selection. Once I got the love seat into my home, unwrapped it and was putting it together, I noticed the cushions on the backside are not upholstered! A nylon fabric covers the backside with Velcro tabs that secure the cushion to the chair. When I called Ashley to complain, I was asked why I didn't look underneath the cushions on the showroom floor. What? Why would I ask that? Am I crazy for assuming a sofa or chair cushion would be upholstered on both sides?

Now I have a love seat with cushions that I cannot turn occasionally to avoid wear and extend the life of the cushions, something I have always done. This was my first AND last Ashley furniture purchase. But hey, I accept full responsibility. I apologize to my local downtown furniture store for not coming to them for my love seat. They have been my furniture store for 30 years. Yes, I would have paid $100 more, but I would have upholstery on two sides of the cushions, if not, they would have taken it back! Lesson learned.

When I called back and told him the price, he said he would check with his boss for approval and post a credit to the charge card I had used. That was 2 weeks ago. I ask that the leg for my the bed be put on when my granddaughter gift was delivered and was told "I will check into it." I would not recommend anyone to Ashley Furniture. My son's bed also had a gap in it and nothing has been mentioned about that. VERY POOR COMPANY.

I just moved from Michigan to Georgia and wanted to buy my daughter a new desk. I looked online and saw a desk that I liked. I went to Ashley Furniture and they stated that they didn't have the desk in the store but can get the desk from the warehouse. The desk got delivered this morning and within a few hours we saw how cheap it was made and how it was not worth the money we paid. We called the store and they told us that there is no returns and there is nothing they will do. I am so so angry about this. How can a company do this?

I brought 4,000 worth of furniture. Once the furniture arrived the nightstand was broken. I purchased a slay bed with draws. The draws didn't fit in proper. The reclining chair was the floor model. The delivery people made notes of the problem. Management promise to call me and never did. I call three times and never got to speak to any manager. Someone from the repair department called one week later saying I need to wait 2 months before the parts come in. The parts were coming from another country. I said come and take all the furniture out of my house asap. Nobody tried to please me as a customer. He said ok. I paid cash for my furniture. Never will I purchased from them again.

Overall I am pleased with most of the furniture we bought from Ashley Furniture that is until last night when I sat on the sofa and noticed some fuzz like what might come out of a stuffed animal so I removed a throw pillow from my sofa and noticed more from underneath where the arm rest is. I put my hand underneath to see and noticed there is a zipper underneath there, I tried to zip it but it's one of those nylon zippers and it would not zip. The 2 halves are attached by the pull but it will not work. I checked the other armrest and that one is fine. It is just my husband and myself so nobody has ever touched this. I was very disappointed when I called the people for the furniture protection plan only to find out it is not covered. I then called the store, they wouldn't help either cause we purchased it a little over a year ago. This had to have been this way from the time of purchase, I never would of even noticed if the fuzz hadn't started coming out. I think I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

They sent the same dealer to see the chair and the dealer reported back to me that Ashley said that I wiped my hands in the chair. I further contacted Ashley so they could speak to me directly but to no avail. The dealer just kept selling me another set. I wrote back to Ashley but to this day no reply. I felt that I got a bad deal from this store and Ashley was the maker of that furniture so they had a responsibility to help me. To this day the owner of the store kept saying Ashley asked him to sell me a new set with 25% discount.

On 9-29-14, I purchased a bed from Ashley Furniture Store in Lancaster, Ca. The day it was delivered, I woke up that morning at 3:00 in so much pain! The bed was like a rock! I went back to the store that same day and assumed I could get a refund or exchange. Well, after I purchased it, the back of the paper work says, no refunds or exchanges on any beds! First store I have ever come across this. The manager said it takes 6 wks.+ to break it in, another unheard of thing. Since that was not disclosed to me at time of purchase, I was given an exchange. The manager (Jag) said the mattress I exchanged would not get any softer because it was on the showroom floor for over 4 mos. Well, in less than 2 mos. the bed is so soft, I went back again to see the manager and found that the bed on the showroom floor was so much softer, so, was not told the truth about that.

His (manager) dishonesty to me and the fact it is not posted anywhere that there are no refunds or exchanges on beds, I had hoped he would do the right thing. He said, there was nothing he could do. That he gave me a courtesy exchange once already. I have been diagnosed w/ severe hip and back problems, so the bed I sleep on is of extreme importance! Now, the box spring lining is falling off! This has been one big nightmare which can cause stress, which can cause and does cause more pain. I am 60 yrs. young and weigh 112 lbs., 5'6", so it's not my weight that has caused this. The fact that they don't offer any kind of return policy is not fair. And if that's there policy, they rightfully should have it posted for customers to see, before they buy a bed. This is failure to disclose something of grave importance.

My wife and I were interested in a certain living room set but were told by the Ashley salesperson that the set was not in stock. We selected another living room set that consisted of a couch, love seat, two chairs (all pieces were electric recliners) and several tables that we were assured was in stock and could be delivered within two weeks. The date of the order was November 7th. Before the delivery, Ashley called to confirm the delivery date. During that call they confirmed all of the pieces they would deliver but had no record of the couch even though it was on my receipt. We agreed to move the delivery date to a date Ashley said the couch would be available so that all could be delivered at once.

When Ashley delivered the furniture on the new date there was no couch, a wrong table was delivered, the loveseat was damaged and one of the recliners did not work right. We contacted the store and was put in touch with their customer service. They promised to replace the love seat and chair, exchange the table for the right one and deliver the couch. After checking their computer a new delivery date was selected when all of the pieces would be available. On the new delivery date all that came was the replacement chair and table. No loveseat or couch. Once again we contacted Ashley's customer service and they checked their computer and they gave us a new date for the delivery of the couch and replacement loveseat of December 20th.

A few days before December 20th Ashley called to say that the loveseat was in but the couch was not due in until December 22nd. I asked about cancelling the order and was told that Ashley would charge us a 20% restocking fee along with a fee to pick up the furniture. The furniture did not arrive December 20th. Ashley asked us to reschedule the delivery until December 29th and we agreed. On December 26th Ashley called to say that they could deliver the replacement loveseat and could give me a new delivery date on the couch but could not guarantee that it would be delivered even then. We would not have purchased the furniture if it were not for the promise by both the salesperson and one of the managers at the Shiloh, Illinois store that the furniture was in stock. We have purchased furniture from Ashley before but will never do so again.

On 11/12 14 I purchased furniture from Ashley's and was told everything was in stock. This was important because a new tenant was moving to the house on 12/01/14. Left delivery date open, so that new house could be cleaned and vacated. Was under the impression that the living room set included a loveseat/recliner. On 11/20/14, furniture was delivered minus end tables, lamps, coffee table, rug, throw blanket, and lamps. A question arose about the loveseat. I expected a loveseat/recliner and received a regular loveseat. I call customer service and was told that the piece should have been a loveseat/recliner and to refuse the loveseat. Ashley would deliver a loveseat/recliner in the near future.

On 11/29/14 Ashley's showed up with a rocker/recliner lounge chair and not a loveseat/recliner. I refused the lounge chair. It was now two days before my tenant was to move in. On 11/29114 at 3:05 P.M. I call the Palm Desert store and asked to speak to the store manager, Jessie **. I was told he was busy and talked to an assistant manager named Robert **. He said he would check into the situation and call me back. Instead he pawned me off to my salesman, Raul **. ** called me at 3:40 P.M. ** told me a loveseat/recliner was not available in that collection and that he would fax me information on a rocker/recliner for me to consider. ** never faxed nor called me back. I am now getting very angry.

On 11/30/14, one day before my tenant moves in, I called Raul ** at 2:02 P.M. and he said that he would get back to me on a new delivery date. I asked him when, and he said he would call in twenty minutes. I reminded him that he never called or faxed me the day before, and ** Promised me that he would call me back. HE NEVER DID CALL BACK! On 11/30/14, at 6:59 P.M. I called the store and asked for the store manager Jessie ** or the assistant store manager Robert **, and was told that they were " both busy". I left messages for both managers to call me back that evening. NEITHER CALLED ME BACK!

I now realized that I was dealing with a store that was interested in selling goods only and not interested in servicing their customers. It is Ashley's corporate culture not to return phone calls. I don't know how the managers got their positions, but I recommend "DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY'S!" On 12/01/14 Tenant is now moving into the house and missing some furniture. I called customer service in Wisconsin (I gave up on Palm Desert) and talked with Laurie a supervisor. She arranged for a final delivery of a regular loveseat on 12/09/14 and was very helpful.

In summary, I am a retired executive who owned and ran three retail stores that sold outdoor patio furniture amongst other products. I did this for 38 years and know what service is or should be. The managers Jessie ** and Robert ** and my salesperson Raul ** don't give a damn about customer service. This is evident by their unwillingness to return phone calls and solve problems. A competitor (Mathis Brothers), a store at which I also bought furniture at the same time, is night and day compared to Ashley's. YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY THEM - THEY SERVICE.

For three weeks now we get the run around that someone will contact us to address the issue, yet we never hear back from anyone. Customer service is untrained, unprofessional, rude, unacceptably slow, and disinterested in our issues. I am a lawyer and travel a lot. I should not be spending 2 hours a day on the phone, or an hour in the store each day to resolve an issue which should have a quick and easy fix. Maybe Ashley Furniture needs to look at their reviews, as it seems I am not the only angry customer here, and address these very pressing matters with its customer service employees!

What is worse is that store managers are just as inefficient, rude, and condescending. After three weeks of dealing with these issues, we asked to return the living room set (because as you may imagine, we have had enough and want to retract our money spent on products from a company, which does not deserve our business) and now we are told according to company policy, we cannot return the living room set! So not only did they immediately devalue our property upon delivery and are unwilling to fix the mistake, but they are not letting us return their damaged loveseat and get our money back! Next step will be filing a complaint with a consumer agency.

Purchased washer and dryer from Ashley’s furniture. Paid around $1700 when we bought them in November 2013. Three months ago, we had issues with the washer and dryer. The washer wasn't filling properly, we were getting white film on clothing, and we had a fire in the dryer. We had issues with the dryer before, like it just wasn't working. Finally, when the fire started in the dryer, they figured that the dryer was a safety issue so that they were going to replace that. That was Maytag though, not really Ashley Furniture. So Maytag came along and they ended up replacing both the washer and the dryer. They sent a store credit to Ashley Furniture. However, Ashley Furniture told us that we had to buy the exact same product and Maytag definitely did not want us to buy the same product. They wanted us to buy a completely new product but Ashley would not hear of it. So we ended up getting the same product in.

Back on September 3rd they tried to deliver the dryer to me without the washer and with loose screws in the bottom of it. I refused to take that because I mean, if there’s screws loose in the bottom of it, why would I take it in because it’s already broken? I didn’t accept it. I waited 10 weeks for this because they ordered the wrong product the first time. They ordered the washer. This was the dryer. So then I had to wait another three weeks.

I wasn’t home on the 10th when they tried to deliver the washer and the dryer this time and they delivered it in the house. And when I asked, “Was there any screws loose or anything?” they said, “No, we got you a brand new one.” Then on the weekend here, it would have been on the 13th, we ended up with water all underneath our washer. We had to move the dryer out and realized there were screws... We did have issues with the dryer right from the get-go. Like when we started it up, it made a lot of noise and it was vibrating pretty bad. So they said that they would put a service call out for us.

When I talked to the lady, her name is Tanya at the customer service, she’s some high-up person there, she said that they are allowed to deliver broken things and that they will just have them fixed when they get to the house. I said that if they knew that something was not working properly, that they would actually deliver it. She said, “Absolutely not.” She said, “Sometimes, we deliver stuff and we don’t know.” And I said, “I totally get that.” But they tried to tell me also that they had switched out the product. I said, “How did you switch it out in two days when it took me three weeks each time to get a product in?” Because it was supposed to be a special order that I was doing that I didn’t realize. I said, “We ended up with this broken dryer and now we’ve got to get all these parts ordered?” They will not come back and take this and give us a new one so now I got to wait 14 days for the parts to come in and there’s actually more wrong with it than what we initially thought when the tech came over. We have lint coming down inside of it like really badly that could cause a fire…

I have to buy a lot more appliances. And guess where they will be? I’ll be going back to the store that I normally buy stuff from.

Within less than a year the couch and recliner started to deteriorate. Less than a year after that, the rest of the chair became damaged. I submitted a claim to Montage Furniture, and after several back and forth email messages, and a call from the supervisor, they said it could not be covered, because damage did not go all the way to the foam.

In 3 out of the 6 pictures that I sent, it DID go ALL the way to the foam. I discourage anyone from buying any type of "leather" furniture from Ashley furniture, and certainly do not buy the protection plan. It is bogus, and they will not honor it. My husband and I decided to take the junk boards that are suppose to hold a king mattress and burn them. That's about all those thin boards were good for. I was glad I saved the metal frame from my old bed. We replaced the junk wood with the metal frame.

The delivery guys left trash under my bed. They didn't put the entertainment center together properly. It was seriously about to fall over and the shelf was ready to fall on my tv. It also has scratches on it. My husband has to put it together properly and he's going to have to modify it with better bolts and support brackets so it doesn't fall down on any of my kids. And to top it all off, they decided all mfg. warranty is now voided and nothing will ever be covered under warranty because I have a small home business with 3 little kids I watch in my home daycare.

This place has to be the worst place I ever dealt with. I will NEVER buy another thing from them and will warn everyone I know how hard it is to deal with these people. I found out my neighbor had the same problems. Her son's bed fell apart and the delivery guys left a mess. I really wished I had read these reviews prior to going there.

I am a previous employee as well as a customer. I will speak honestly concerning both aspects. Ashley Furniture is a cheap and greedy company who builds furniture in an assembly line and pays the assembly workers by the piece so you can imagine how it is thrown together. They claim 'built in America’, and the misleading part of that statement is that though it is thrown together here in the United States, many pieces and parts are shipped in from overseas and used to build cheaper quality furniture. I bought a loveseat, and returned the first two at delivery. The 3rd still isn't as it should be.

They speak of 'chemical free' furniture, but the chemicals and poisons used in the manufactured pieces from overseas are not as chemical free as they claim. On many days myself and co-workers would suffer nausea, headaches, and dizziness from the fumes when new furniture was placed into the showroom. They are in denial to avoid taking responsibility for these chemicals, as they stand on government approval for a 'safe level' of toxins coming out of this stuff. Maybe ONE sofa is at a safe level, but for those purchasing a room or a house full of furniture it is a health risk. Also, know that over time the breaking down of the stuffing fibers allows gases into the air every time you sit on the cushions. Let’s not mention working in 60,000 square feet of the stuff and breathing it all into your lungs day in and day out.

As far as working as part of the sales team? And I use the word 'team' VERY lightly! Ashley favors their top sales writers, excusing their behavior. They cover up the lying, back stabbing, dishonest sales people and often take your hard earned commissions and split it with them to keep them happy. They find excuses to write you up to protect their greedy writers. The bottom line is that if you are a good, honest, and decent person, then stay out of this place! It’s a very poor system for any human being to work in. It’s the only company I have ever been a part of where you pay to work for the company.

They give you a 'draw' that you pay back every week. They promise high commissions so you 'rarely' fall into the draw/red. Keep in mind you only get paid in the first place once an order is delivered, not at the time of the writing of the sale. If a customer cancels the sale, the hours you spent with them to choose it all is work for nothing. They also misled me in the interview process about the actual employee turnover numbers. I left two months ago and three more have walked since then out of this store. For every holiday the entire crew is required to work open to close three days running. You are required to work every single entire weekend year round. The thanks you get? It’s certainly not a paycheck. It is in the form of financial, physical, and mental exhaustion. Take care.

Just purchased over $6000 of product on my son’s bedroom suite and our bed. Our son’s furniture was not correct when it finally arrived and we sent back. Sales lady (Angela) on first day we were there was very slick and told us what we wanted to hear "you have 90 days to bring back" on a TEMPUR-PEDIC and moving base. We purchased and gave it 2 weeks and figured out that for sure we could not sleep on it at all. Called Ashley back they said "well give it 2 more weeks and lets see if you get use to it." So we did, still can’t sleep on it. So we went in to the Ashley store. Then they tell us the $1500 base is not refundable!

So after I almost ripped their head off for not telling me that when I purchased it we picked out a regular mattress that we both liked that was cheaper ($1200). Then they told us that the exchange had to be at the same price! Then we were very ticked off so talked to a manager (Nicholas **). He was no help at all. Told us however we could pick what ever out and he would exchange, costing us $300 to exchange the $2600 mattress! We agreed and waited until the day before the delivery date and called to find out that no order was made to deliver anything!

My wife and I both got on different phones and both called at the same time. She was told that our son’s bedroom suite was now cheaper than we paid, (we were also told while signing financing papers that we could call and get sale price within the first 30 days). The lady on the phone gave the call to someone else that explained that because we financed we could not get the sales price! Would they really give us a sale price after purchase if we bought in cash? So do they give cash back to a customer when they have a sale on the same item they just purchased days before? I doubt it. My call was the 2nd call in the same day. Talked to the same guy (John) that told me he would find out and call back, waited 7 hours and called again and then he says he will get the manager to call me.

So no new mattress for us just an over priced sponge on a motorized base that we can’t sleep on. Don’t be surprised if Ashley Furniture closes in Greensboro. I will do my part in making that happen! If it was legal I would burn the building down!

King size bed frame broke within two weeks. Purchased a king size mattress, box springs, frame, foot and headboards from the North Branch location on Nov. 2nd. Two weeks after delivery the bed crashed to the floor, the frame broke along with middle supports. Called customer service and they did give an in store credit. Went to Woodbury Ashley furniture to get a new metal frame. North Branch Manager said that frame that broke is not heavy duty. I'm 190 and fiancée is 150 and has back problems. They wanted us to pay additional for metal frame that I found unacceptable. PS CS manager was very rude and uncooperative.

I called the sale person the next day Fri Nov 28th, he indicated that a metal frame was available and that we could have it at no additional cost. I was supposed to take the defective rails and return them to Ashley Furn Maplewood. When I tried to pick up the new frame I found out it was for Queen bed and would not work with the King bed. I called the North Branch location and the manger indicated it was mistake. Instead of correcting it, he stated there is no metal frame for the bed, head and footboard we ordered. It would have to custom order (at least two weeks) for an additional cost. He also indicated the frame we order was not high quality, which goes directly against what is quoted on the Furniture Mart website, “Our strategy has always been to provide low-cost, high-quality furniture, mattresses, and accessories with a high level of customer service in order to best serve the needs of our customers," and basically stated he would not honor the metal frame promised a day earlier.

So we have not had our new bed for 2 weeks. I have 2-3 hours on the phone to get this resolved I have made an additional trips to an Ashley Furniture store. And the only answer I received is Furniture Mart does not stand by products sold. Will not give a refund. Take what they offer because you don't have a choice, they have already received payment. All I wanted is a metal frame I could be confident would not break. My fiancée could have been seriously hurt. (P.S. the customer service manager in Souix Falls stated you have lawyers for that on Fri Nov 28th.) I do have picture of how defective the frame was, but everyone at Furniture Mart and Ashley Furniture have declined to look at. This ordeal has soured my impression of Furniture Mart and Ashley Furniture that I would like to return the mattress, box spring and frame. Used to be happy customers, our living room set is from Ashley Furniture.

I had a very positive experience at Ashley furniture and felt compelled to write a review to balance out all of the negative experiences other consumers had. I do admit some of the salespeople will drop you like a hot cake if they suspect you aren't buying there and then. My first salesperson guessed that and quickly stopped helping me and disappeared into the large showroom even though I had more questions. I ended up walking around alone, not pressured by anyone and found a couch that fit better than the $4k one I was going to get from Macy's. This sectional and ottoman cost me $1,600 with delivery. What a steal! And it is MUCH nicer looking than the expensive one I almost bought.

The lady that I found to ask questions ended up getting my sale and she was very nice and went over all of the disclaimers before having me sign. It's important to read anything before you sign, so I'm glad she took the quick minute to highlight each item on my receipt to insure that I understand their procedures and that I am getting the exact size/couch and layout I want.

2 weeks later my couch was being delivered. I received a text message about 4-5 days before delivery confirming my address and delivery date. Then 3 days before delivery I was sent another text regarding my time frame of delivery, 9:15 am-1:15 pm. I called my local store and made sure that the delivery guys would call me 10-15 minutes before they arrive so I could make it back from work to let them in. They followed my instructions to a T, sometimes this isn't always the case.

The delivery guys were friendly and setup & connected my sectional. The couch came in pristine condition, brand new with no defects. I got lucky, because I read about 50 negative reviews about damaged products at arrival. I am currently sitting on my couch... living room bed, I like to call it and I couldn't be happier with my steal of purchase. I don't expect this couch to last more than 5 years tops, but for the money I'll be on cloud nine if I get a good 3 years out of it. Don't be deterred by these bad reviews. I had a great overall experience. (I purchased the Jessa place sectional + ottoman) it's beautiful! Thanks Ashley!

This is cut and dry. Ashley Furniture in Delaware advertised a Black Friday special of 60% off the entire showroom, and after purchasing several items, my receipt indeed indicated that I received a 60% discount off of the regular prices. But, the manager admitted that the regular price is determined by taking the rock bottom sale price that Ashley will sell an item for, and then divide that by 40% to get the alleged regular price. Come on man! Just put the discount price on there instead of luring people to the store with a promise of a 60% discount across the showroom.

Well, all I can say is that in the age of the internet, it's relatively simple to find out if you're being duped or mislead, and in this case, it took me exactly 5 minutes to get my answer. If you like any of the Ashley pieces, go to some online sellers like Classy Home, Coleman's, MM, etc. and get the same stuff for the same price you'll get it for in the showroom. Save yourself the aggravation, time, and gas money. In Coleman's case, delivery and set-up is included in the fee, and I've found in most cases, their prices aren't much different than what you'll find in the store.

Super irritated with these guys. My parents were coming to town and I needed a mattress in a week. The sales associate sold me a mattress first of all saying "it's ready for pick up and you can take it with you." After I decided and was ready to pay for it, they told me they can only deliver in a week and I have to pay delivery fee of $139. I was pissed already but decided to go ahead.

One week later, day after thanksgiving, I called to confirm the delivery and they confirmed it for that day. I waited all day but it never came. So I called up customer care the next day and the rep was like - it doesn't matter even if it is delayed by a week you have to pay $139. It just doesn't make sense. Why should I pay $140 when I was not given what was promised and I was not ever ready to pay that. On top of it, the day of delivery, they never called me to say that the delivery was cancelled. I was just sitting at home wasting my day after thanksgiving. Oh ya.... and I got "disconnected" multiple times trying to reach customer care.

We purchased a Tempurpedic bed with adjustable base and spent $5000. I felt the Tempurpedic was pushed on us and we eventually gave in based on the reassurance that it was the best bed on the market. After sleeping on it for 2 weeks, I developed back pain. I am 29 years old, 105 pounds and have never had back issues! I felt like an 80 year old woman! We were informed we had to sleep on the mattress for a minimum of 30 days before exchanging. When we went in for the exchange, we had to pay $300 to restock the bed. That was annoying, but we understood and didn't argue. The bed I wanted in exchange happened to be on sale (originally $2400, on sale for $1999). They said we didn't qualify for the sale price!

As it is, you don't get the price difference back in cash, it has to be a store credit. Fine, again, we can live with that as annoying as it was. The $5000 was already spent, yet they refused to honor the sale price. They weren't out any money as we knew we weren't getting it back in cash, it had to go as a store credit. Then they tried to charge us for a second delivery fee (we live 2 min down the road). If we would have been first time customers off the street we would have been given the sale price. How they can treat their customers like this? This is disgusting. I guess once they have your money, they control you and screw you over and there is nothing you can do. Buyer beware. Do not go here if you are in the market for a new mattress. We were uninformed and rushed into a very expensive mistake.

I bought furniture back on November 1st from the Burbank, CA store. My delivery date was the 16th. My items were delivered, and set up, but as I was inspecting the furniture, the delivery team left before I could reject the items for poor quality. I immediately called the store and asked them to send the delivery team back to pick up the items. They said they would contact their dispatch and see if they could reroute delivery, but emphasized that I should have rejected it while they were on-site. The store called back a short time later and said they would not be able to reroute them today and would call me back with a date and time they would be able to come pick up the items. I waited the rest of the day with no word from the store or warehouse dispatch contacting me.

Yesterday, Monday the 16th, I continued to contact the store throughout the day being assured that a manager would reach out. Finally, in the early evening I spoke with the Manager on-duty Diane. Diane said, in no uncertain terms, they would not be able to return my items or refund my purchase. She said this store does not offer refunds. I told her, "no one said this at the time of our purchase" (my Mother and Sister were witness). If we had known they do not accept returns, we would not have purchased from them. I told her "your Sales Associate Nelly did not inform us of this rule." Diane said she would need to speak with Nelly the next day and would call me back.

After that conversation, I decided to call my Synchrony Visa I had opened just for my Ashley purchase and have them reverse charges. I was able to successfully close the account prior to the charges going through. I called the store back and spoke with Ryan (Floor Supervisor), because Diane was on lunch and explained that I had canceled the transaction and would not be paying for the purchase and to please have Diane call me back when she was back from lunch. Diane never called. I had to call the store again. I reached Diane and she immediately said this is now a Corporate dispute. I got the Corporate Customer Care number and called them. Unfortunately, they were closed.I reached customer care this morning and they promptly said this is a store issue and I would not be able to get help from them.

I have continued to call the store today with very little response or returned phone calls. Unfortunately, I have since found out that the charges to the card have gone through. I have asked the credit card company help. They have opened a dispute and is sending a letter to them requesting they accept and process the return. I don't know what else to do. One final note, on the back of the receipts there are several disclaimers. Nowhere does it say there are no returns. In fact, there is a claim that says they do not accept returns on close-out merchandise. Therefore, one would have to assume all other types of merchandise are returnable.

I suggest thinking twice before purchasing furniture from Ashley. Prepare yourself with poor delivery, broken items, defected items and nice speaking customer people who promise the world and deliver nothing but broken promises. I suggest looking elsewhere when purchasing furniture. Here is a quick list of reason to support my review.

Delivery: Delivery guys spoke little English which made it extremely difficult to communicate the issues with the furniture. We purchased bunk beds and dresser. Dresser was broke when delivered which they fixed by drilling a screw into it. They put together the bunk bed which had a defected support beam which was clearly defected. They wanted to put screws in the cross beams, not sure how that would have work. I now have nails sticking out of the boards. Product review....0.

Customer care: I must have contacted the care department about 12 times, on each occasion they had no clue what I was talking about and I had to go over my issues over and over and over. I finally got somewhere once I took time out of my work day to stop at the store. I requested a new support beam. They were supposed to mail this to me but instead my wife received a call from the delivery guys saying they were outside my door and we needed to come home so they could fix the bed. Funny we never schedule this plus they had the wrong parts. I finally got the part and had to go to the store to pick it up. (This is the short version of my experience with customer care.) I would exceed the recommended minimum character count if I go any further. Customer care review...0.

I will say the sales representative who sold me the furniture was quite nice and would be the only highlight of my review. Sales department review...9. Good luck to anyone who decides to purchase furniture from this company, you will need it.

I purchased an Ashley dining room set from a different store. We have been delighted with the quality and craftsmanship of this set. Recently, we wanted to add two exact chairs to the set of six. We contacted Ashley directly who shipped us the two chairs in a week. The delivery men even assembled the chairs for us (we had to do that with the first purchase). I am very impressed with Ashley and will use them again.

As the case with many customers, only after purchasing did I find out that my bed would not be delivered for 2 weeks. I accepted. The bed looked beautiful upon arrival + assembly and we were very happy. A few weeks after, we started feeling aches and pains on our bodies and also noticed that the bed was sinking in very badly. My boyfriend being heavier than me, I found myself rolling towards him like we were sleeping in a hammock. We tried ignoring the discomfort for months until finally I called them to tell them that I wanted to return the bed. They informed me of their no-return policy which I thought was outrageous. From here on a battle started. They sent a tech guy from an independent company a total of 3 times to inspect the bed. He said over and over to us that the bed was defective and advised us to return it. But every time I called Ashley Furniture, they continued to say "the bed is not defective" and "the report from the technician states that the bed is not defective".

We moved during this ordeal and took the bed apart. When we paid attention to the bed frame is when we realized what the problem was. The slats were a joke. This was a king size bed and the slats were very long and thin. Only 5 out of 10 had legs to support them but even the supported slats would bend between the support points. Only when I threatened them to file a complaint with the BBB, they agreed that the mattress was defective and were willing to give me a refund for it. I said no, I wanted a refund for the whole bed since the whole thing was "defective".

More accurately, it was just plain cheaply made, terrible quality. They continued to deny that the frame was defective and the case with the BBB was closed. Then, I sued them in court. As soon as they were summoned, they offered to give me a full refund minus my court fees if we settled quick. I wanted my court fees refunded as well but compromised with their offer. In mediation, they refused to pay me on the same day they would pick up the bed. Rather, I had to wait up to 1 month to be refunded. An hour later in mediation, they said up to 2 months for them to pay me back. I had no other choice but to accept and have the piece of junk out of my house. This is a bad business!!! Stay away!!!

I purchased Ashley brand furniture from a store other than Ashley Furniture in September of last year. In late August I noticed that the material on the recliner chair (that I had thought was leather, but was not) had worn off part of the arms of the chair. I contacted the store and they were no longer in business. I contacted Ashley Furniture direct and they said they could honor my warranty since it was under one year. Well, finally after about 4 weeks, a technician came and was attempting to install the material that they forwarded to me. The technician immediately noticed that the material was not the same as my chair. I contacted Ashley and they told me I had to submit photos of the chair next to the material that would show the problem and then they could order more material. I kept telling them that this is just going to happen again because it is defective material, but they wouldn't listen.

A few days later, they called telling me that they are going to replace the chair with a new one from a local Ashley store. Here's the problem now... they will not warranty the new chair!! They said the chair will be under the original warranty from the original date of purchase which is now expired. They don't care about their customers at all! It is unfair that I will have a new chair with a no warranty and I am stuck if the chair has any problems!! Do not shop at Ashley furniture. I WILL BE TAKING MY COMPLAINT ALONG WITH ALL OF THE ONES LISTED ON THIS SITE FOR SUPPORT OF MY CLAIM TO THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS!!

We paid for delivery and setup of a bedroom set. The supports for the mirror to be attached to the dresser were not in with the delivery. My wife was told by the installer that he would be back to install the supports. I called 2 weeks later to inquire when installation could be completed, there was no knowledge of the incident. I was told that I needed to order the supports then call to have them installed. I was told that I could expect them within 7 - 10 business days. Called back 2 weeks later to find out the status, and was told that items had been backordered and the earliest that they can be sent out is Dec 8. I was told that I should have been told this when I first called. I told them that I would rather not wait that long and would like a refund or exchange. I was told that this could not be done. It seems to me that I should not be inconvenienced and get stuck with an incomplete order.

I contacted Ashley & since it was a new purchase, we were delivered a brand new couch! Excellent customer service. It is now November & after having the couch less than year, we are experiencing the malfunction of the electrical side of the couch. This is only covered by the manufacturer's warranty, not the one we paid for! The repairman is scheduled to come tomorrow afternoon, & my assumption is he will have to order parts for a recliner that is not even a year old. Since my husband & I are the only ones who sit on this recliner; I now doubt the stability & what we were told. This is very upsetting to us both.

I purchased new bedroom furniture at an Ashley Homestore on October 12, 2014. Two random young men in a Ryder rental truck showed up at my door yesterday to deliver furniture. They did not identify themselves as being from Ashley Homestore and were not wearing any kind of identifying clothing. Frankly, had it been dark out, I would not have allowed them in my home. I asked to see the furniture before they brought it into my home. They let me up on the truck, where some furniture, unpadded, scratched and dinged was sitting and indicated that was my furniture. I did not purchase used, scratched and dented furniture. I took pictures of the damage with my cellphone and sent the truck on its way. Then I went to the store.

They indicated they could do nothing to help me because my issues were "post delivery" and that someone would call me today. At 11:15 am, I called the person whose name they gave me, asked for her, and was put on hold for 12 minutes. At that point someone else came on the line, answering the phone as if it were a brand new call. When I again asked for the person whose name I had been given, I was directed to her voice mail. I will continue to post additional comments as the saga continues. I truly don't expect a call back.

A couple months ago I walked into Ashley's furniture and purchased a set of sealy mattress. I paid cash over $600.00 U.S. dollars. Not even a year and both my mattress are broken, the box spring is all broken and the springs on the mattress are coming out. I contacted corporate and they refuse to help replace or fix my mattress. They said because there is a small coffee stain on it! Really, I would not recommend anyone buy anything from this furniture store. Their products are CHEAP! They don't explain to you little details like if "you have a stain on mattress your warranty is terminated". Really it's ridiculous. I'm taking further action on this store! This store has by far the worst customer service personnel that doesn't care about their customers. RED FLAG! Don't buy anything here.

I went to Ashley for a living room set. Upon my arrival I found the perfect red set that I've always wanted. I decided to purchase the set. The day of delivery I was contacted by a rep letting me know my delivery was on the way. An hour or so later another rep contacted me to see if my delivery arrived. I explained that my delivery did not arrive. A few moments later a customer service manager contacted me explaining the store and warehouse had a miscommunication and in order for me to receive my merchandise I would have to pay a redelivery fee which I did not understand WHY I would pay a redelivery fee for something that was never on the truck to be delivered?

Long story short, EVERY person I've come in contact with from the store to the customer service headquarters were EXTREMELY RUDE. I asked to hold for a manager and was told "no you cannot hold we don't do that." I'm thinking what type of business doesn't allow a person to hold for a manager. I finally disputed the charge with my cc company. A month later needless to say I never received my furniture and Ashley is still asking for a redelivery fee in order to get my furniture. I am OVER this business and their lack of customer service. OH I forgot to mention the 30% restocking fee they want me to pay since I am asking for a refund. I have never in all my days seen any foolishness like this. DON'T NOT SHOP HERE.

We bought new living room furniture from Ashley in Bel Air, MD. Never bought leather furniture before so we went to Ashley and the salesman talked up the set really good. Told us how durable it was and it will last forever. So we bought it and I got a recliner to match it. 1 year later it started to peel. To find out it wasn't even real leather. It is Durablend. It's crap. My recliner is horrible, and the couches don't look much better. It is the worst furniture I have ever bought. And of course they won't do anything about it. So cheap. Purchased an oversized, leather, electric powered recliner from Ashley in Arcadia, WI. Within a short period the left side of the seat cushion slumped, resulting in having to sit at an angle. Then, the ultra paper thin bonded leather began to delaminate. This was sold to me as solid leather. NOT! Within two years the headrest area and arm cushions have pealed away. The thin material appears to be vinyl, not even bonded leather. All of the furniture stores I have visited advise to stay away from Ashley because it's considered low end. In fact, they ALL discontinued Ashley due to excessive problems. Another American product that succumbed to Chinese quality.

I have made many purchases from Foxboro furniture. I saved for months and months. I picked out what I thought was very nice furniture, within a few months the cushioned distorted very bad. I called foxboro furniture, which by the way was always a pleasant experience. They sent me all new cushions but that wasn't the problem. Same thing happened, I didn't do anything about it again which was a mistake. I paid 1700$ for the furniture and was very happy at first but the materials used in the throw pillows and cushions were substandard. It looked nice but I had to buy all new throw pillows and the cushions are so out of shape and so uncomfortable that it's embarrassing. I don't even have any children in the house anymore.

I don't know what to do. But I will never buy Ashley furniture again and I thought it was a good brand. I'm really just kinda crushed. Foxboro furniture has closed since I bought my furniture. I would be happy to provide pictures. I just don't understand why any business would do that. My old furniture was still comfortable when I gave it to a friend. She's still happy with it. Maybe something good might come out of this! I don't know???

Recently the mattress started to sag, so I called them. I have since moved out of their service area so they want me to bring the mattress to Maryland to be checked out. I now live in NJ. So I called the manf, the manf is saying the sku on the receipt isn't even valid, also the mattress has no warranty whatsoever, because the sku means it's a floor model or display. This place is a fraud, absolute fraud. Do not buy from them. They sold me a bed as new. FRAUD. Save your money and go somewhere else.

When I called to bring it up they said it was "not their problem"! After 3 weeks of fighting they told me they had to fix it because "when people are as relentless as me, they have not choice." It was such crap!! They finally sent a painter but there is still damage that they refused to look after!! There was also a lot of damage to the furniture itself! I wouldn't order ANYTHING from Ashley again due to the damage, rudeness and need to fight for proper service. CHECK YOUR HOME AFTER DELIVERY!!!
