We went to Ashley Furniture in Altoona, PA on Friday, July 31, 2015 to look for a new mattress set that we'd need for a guest room. Joanie, the Sleep Specialist, was very helpful and knowledgeable. She showed us several options and added some insights into what size mattress would best work for us. We purchased the set we decided on and it was delivered today, August 6, 2015. The delivery team was very professional and personable. We've made several purchases from Ashley Furniture and have never had any problems with the orders or delivery time.

So my husband and I have been buying furniture from Ashley for years, and in fact, the only thing in my new home that isn't Ashley is my bedroom furniture. We purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress set for our bed and loved it... loved it till my side, the springs on the box spring decided to do their own thing. 4 months later, after spending hours on the phone, no less than 45 minutes each call to customer service, we had an approval for a re-select since the box spring is no longer available. My husband goes to the store, does the re-select and we think ok this is going to go faster than the past... WRONG!!!
I call this week because my back can't take it anymore... spend an hour on the phone, for customer service to say, "Well the store never sent in the re-select." They need to send to us so that the mattress group can approve and then we can set up a time to deliver. In the meantime, my daughter's new bed set is still waiting for over 2 months to be completed... drawers that go underneath were missing the fronts of them. Waited a month for that, now that we have them, I... me... have to spend time on the phone again to get them to come out for a 3rd trip just to complete her bed set up. I am beyond mad... This is my last purchase from Ashley.

Salesman lied. Told me the loveseat had a seat cooling function. I asked him twice to be sure... he lied twice. Bought it, and it's never worked right. Technicians have been out multiple times to fix it. It's not working again now. It's a lemon and I want some fair resolution.

This has really been the worst experience buying something in my whole life. I will never step foot in another Ashley Furniture store again. Late on delivery, didn't bring all the parts for my daughter's bed. Now I'm waiting 2 more weeks for the parts and I have a half put together bed sitting in her room. I thought I had ordered a desk but apparently they didn't ring that up so no desk. I have spent hours just trying to talk to someone from customer service. When I finally did I told them I didn't want this furniture so they can come get it but there is no return policy. Very bad experience so far and I am still waiting to see what's next.

Liked their dining set and bedroom set which were on sale for the 4th of July weekend. Bought stuff worth $4,500 (paid 3,700) on July 3rd 2015. The bill stated that stuff would be delivered by the 17th of July. Days go by without a call confirming the date/time of delivery. My experiences with IKEA and Target were so good that I thought Ashley's would be just as professional. My bad. I stayed at home during normal delivery hours, waiting for it. Finally, on Saturday (17th), I call the sales agent - it goes to voicemail. I call the store manager - goes to voicemail. Finally, call customer care to be told that the delivery department is closed on Saturday and Sunday and that I should call the 1800 number on Monday to schedule the delivery. REALLY?? I need to call and schedule delivery? It's their responsibility, isn't it?
Anyways, I call them up on Monday and am told that the delivery will happen on the week of the 30th and that someone will call me to confirm the date and time. You call that efficient? I wait till the 29th and then decide to call up again. Go through the rigmarole again. Finally, someone called me and asked if I was free on the 1st of August, Saturday, between 9 am and 1 pm. I had plans with family and friends, but I really wanted this to be over with. So, the date and time was set. Saturday morning rolls around.. and no sign of them. At 2.30 pm, it was official. They weren't going to turn up. They didn't even have the decency to call. And you know what was the worst part? My cat died that morning and we needed to go to the vet. But we had to wait because we were expecting them. We made several phone calls, but.. you guessed it, they were closed on Saturdays.
We went to the store on Sunday and complained to the Manager. Calls were made and finally we were told that the GPS tracker showed that they did come to our house at 11.30 am and we weren't there. And, get this - they left voicemails on my husband's phone. Well, there were no voicemails. This was the last straw! Being pretty mild mannered, we didn't say much, except that there weren't any messages (we were ignored when we said that). On Monday, hubby was called and told that stuff would be delivered on Thursday, and that someone would confirm the time (WHY??? Why can't you make just one call confirming the date and time??) I waited till 2.00 pm today, hoping they would call, but nope. I called (yet again) and was told they'd come tomorrow between 12 and 4. Praying that they will turn up this time round.

When I saw my couch on the store floor I told the salesman I wanted a couch with reversible cushions to prolong the life, and firm cushions. He said no problem and proceeded to reverse the back pillows on the couch I liked. After waiting much longer than told I finally received my couch and loveseat in two separate shipments for a total of 49 days wait. After two weeks I noticed my sofa cushions becoming very out of shape. I tried to flip it over and discovered it was not reversible. Only the back pillows were.
I complained but was told, "Sorry you misunderstood the salesman." I have had my furniture for only 1 1/2 months and the cushion where I sit most of the time (approx 3 hrs a night) is already out of shape and has lost its firmness. I looked at the warranty and it says basically where a person sits, the cushion will conform to their shape and will not be considered loss of resiliency. So pretty much I'm screwed after only owning this furniture a month and half. I am very disappointed and would advise anyone looking for furniture to read the reviews!

We purchased (2) sets of bunk beds from Ashley Furniture store in Glen Burnie in February and they had to be ordered because they were out of stock. Since we were taking them to our new house in Delaware we would have to pick them up. We were in Delaware when the beds came in and my son volunteered to pick them up on 7/23/2015. This is when the problems started. I called the Glen Burnie store to give them a heads up about my son picking up the beds. Customer service told me they could not do this until I faxed my wife's signature and ID and invoice number and my son had to fax a photo ID also so I had to find a place in Delaware to do this. After going through all this when he arrived to pick them up they didn't even ask to see his ID.
When bunk beds were unpacked in our new house in Delaware we noticed that one of the headboards were cracked. We had purchased the insurance so I called them (this was on 8/4/2015) and they were very helpful but I explained to them what had happened. They told me to contact the store and let them know what had happened. I did this and when I contacted them the first thing they asked me if I had inspected them before picking them up. I said "no I could not unpack all the boxes and check every piece." The manager of the Glen Burnie store said she would contact corporate and get back to me. This was at 12:00 pm on 8/4/2015. I didn't hear from them so I called back at 2/15/2015 and spoke with Brandi who said her manager called and emailed corporate and was waiting for an answer and would get back to me today before 9:00 pm.
Tamara from GBS insurance called me back at 3:00 pm and explained that she had heard from Ashley Furniture and they were not going to do anything about the cracked headboard since I didn't check it before it left the store. I have yet to receive a call from Ashley Furniture letting me know of this decision. And as of this writing 9:00 pm, I give the salesman a high mark when selling the beds to us but it's seems to me that after purchased customer service no longer cares about helping the customer. In fact I think they go out of their way to make things difficult for you. Thank goodness I purchased the insurance or I would be stuck with a broken headboard.

My wife and I have a 5 year warranty on 2 pieces of furniture (through October 2, 2015.) Over the summer of 2014 we make many calls and on 9/30/14, we were finally reported some damage to our furniture. Technician came out 10/8/14. Showed him the slight tears on both pieces and he stated, "If I was you, I would only report 1 because they will decline any more than that. Just call back after this repair." So we get the one repaired and call back a couple months later.
After many attempted contacts, we finally get in touch on 6/1/15 - 2:15 pm called 800-994-7514 to get tech to come out. Sofa and loveseat. Spoke to Anne - she said "oh you're contract is up in October" and that they now have a new procedure in place. We need to send an e-mail to furniturepictures@vcstorenj.com include our name and phone. We sent the pics 6/9/15 around 9 am (Couch right arm and seat, left seat - Loveseat left hand arm) and now they will not acknowledge receipt of pictures nor our calls. A contract is contract no matter when you call for the repairs.

They do not answer the phone. The delivery department does not answer the phone. They will send a text indicating your delivery date and you must reply/confirm the date but the return text and link do not work. Again, no one anywhere will answer the phone. I was on hold for 24 minutes, 19 minutes, and an all time record of 52 minutes with no results. I will never purchase from Ashley Furniture again. I will not purchase a pillow from them... nothing. The worst non-customer service I have ever experienced. I will go somewhere else, pay more or whatever just not to deal with them again!

Buyers beware!!!! I have purchased furniture twice from Ashley's in Southaven. BOTH times, I have experienced delivery issues and horrible service. The first time was Oct 2013. I had a house fire and was replacing mattresses and living room furniture. Everything was in stock when I paid for the furniture. I had to postpone delivery until my house was finished. Their customer service called me at least every other day for 3 or 4 weeks straight to schedule delivery. It seemed that after repeated requests, they were finally waiting for me to call back to schedule delivery because I had maybe a week or two of respite before I was finally able to call to schedule delivery. It turns out that they probably quit calling because they had given half my sectional couch to another customer....only I wasn't advised of that when I scheduled the delivery. I found out when they delivered half a couch.
To make matters worse, it was raining and the delivery guys did not wipe their feet, not one time!!! I had brand new carpet, so I was livid of course. I complained to the salesperson, and she said she would send me a $100 gift card for all the inconveniences. I never received the gift card even though I followed up with her at least once.
Ok, so round two is happening right now. I ordered a bedroom suite for my daughter. I dealt with the same saleslady. She took off the $100 she promised previously. She said one item was not in the warehouse, but she "pushed out" delivery to Aug 1st to be sure it would come in by my delivery date (3 weeks from the date I purchased). I was ok with waiting, no big deal. Aug 1st was this past Saturday. I waited till about 10:00 am to start calling customer service and the store to find out when the truck was scheduled because I had not heard from anyone... not a peep from anyone since I ordered the furniture. No one would pick up at the store, but customer service told me that everything "became available" the night before, and she wasn't sure why it didn't make it on the truck that morning, and would I like to reschedule my delivery.
I politely asked her to reschedule for this coming Thursday, Aug 6th, and to leave a message for the customer service manager to call me. I also called the store again later that day and left a message for my salesperson. Today is Tuesday, Aug 4th. I haven't heard from anyone. To be honest, both the customer service person and the person that took the message at the store were only concerned about rescheduling the delivery appt. Neither showed any concern (or maybe they weren't surprised) that I was scheduled but no one had bothered to call me to tell me there was a problem with the stock and delivery was delayed.
I'm glad it was a Saturday, and at least I had not wasted a day of vacation like I did the first time. These guys are 0-2 with me. What are the odds that this would happen to me twice? Well, first time, shame on you; second time, shame on me. I AM DONE. I am likely going to the store tonight to cancel that furniture purchase, and just eat the 10% restocking fee.

As I'm writing this, I'm still awaiting response from Customer Service (I waited 40 minutes on hold to speak with someone, and 35 minutes with the agent with no satisfactory results). Several emails and phone calls, pictures from me, delivery guys and service tech. has not resolved anything. The service technician also sent his report and I was supposed to get a response in 48 hours. Now they want to send another service technician to check and report on the same thing. CRAZY. No one has even bothered to respond to my emails. Whichever agent I've spoken with keeps telling me to send more pictures. The queen bed was delivered without the supports, the breakfast table and chairs had chips and scratches. The bed frame is just lying on my bedroom floor for a week. There are kids in my house and an accident waiting to happen.
Getting through customer service is a minimum wait of 30-40 minutes. Every time I've been able to get through CS, I've spoken with different agents and all of them giving me different information. There's something definitely wrong with this call center. I can't get a refund because it's past 48 hours and this is not true as they didn't put this on record. I had two different invoices and therefore two deliveries. The second delivery was scheduled at the store but not recorded at the delivery center and therefore we didn't get our furniture on the scheduled date.
When I called the showroom, the lady I spoke with had the audacity to tell me that all customer services are the same. I am so sick and tired. I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP AT ASHLEY'S AGAIN. My biggest mistake is signing and accepting the delivery. I trusted them, and I'm paying for putting my trust in Ashley. This is my new home and I'm dealing with several furniture companies. Ashley Furniture is the worst.

I've been doing business with Ashley furniture on and off for 5 years. I just recently lost my job and was 2 weeks late on a payment which I told them that I would be making the today. They said ok, and still sent someone over to repo the bedroom set. I told the guys that I made arrangements so they said ok, and left. Once I'm done with my last few payments, I will not be purchasing anything else from them.

The people in sales was very kind. My issue is the horrible quality. Normal use of our "leather" couches and it started peeling. Very disappointed. Enclosed pic. It would be one thing if we got a incredible deal but we paid normal price. We just moved into a new home and we're excited to get new furniture. Now we just throw a blanket over it. It is a complete eyesore. Started to peel approx 12 months later.

I purchased a couch and chair from Ashley Furniture. We picked it up on June 22, 2015. Within 2 weeks we had to call and complain of the chair cushion springs collapsing. We purchased a warranty that they tell me does not cover anything but stains or upholstery issues. They said this one time they would replace cushion. Then not even a week later on July 18th, 2015, my husband sits on couch and sits back and the couch makes a popping noise and the back of the couch which is a wood frame is broke.
My husband immediately calls the Ashley Furniture we purchased from and they said for us to call back the next day to speak to a store manager. We did. The manager asked us to take pictures of issue. Well, that is kind of hard since the wood is under the upholstery. We eventually took pics of the issue. My husband keeps getting calls asking for pics and he has sent them several times. They just keep misplacing them. They are now telling us because we picked the furniture up that it is not covered under the manufacture warranty. This some serious **.
If we had known picking the furniture up instead of being delivered was going to void my warranty I would of not purchased furniture from them. I haven't even made my first payment and it is broken. I will never ever purchase another thing from this company and will be letting all my family and friends and social media know not to come there. I have a brand new living room set I can't even enjoy and they refuse to replace or at least fix. I shouldn't have to have it fixed at being a month old.

I wish I had read all the reviews before purchasing furniture for my daughter's apartment. The bed did not come with a box-spring. We had to buy it separately from Amazon. The delivery folks dumped everything and didn't even bother to unpack. They were very rude and threatening in front of family members. The customer service folks who answered the phone after a wait of 45 minutes, had no clue what they were talking about and did not help. Never again Ashley furniture for me.

I saw a sofa and loveseat at Ashley furniture store that I like. The color was brown. I really like it a lot, so I told the salesman I will be back. I decided to look around so went to another store where I saw the same sofa but in a lighter color. I ask the salesman if he have it brown he told me no. I told him I saw the same sofa at Ashley in brown. I told him to write down the price with delivery and tax on a piece of paper and he did. I took the paper to Ashley and show them that I saw same sofa for less but in a lighter color. I even show them the of the sofa. The sales manager took over and told me he will match the price of the sofa. I was really happy. I told him the only reason why I didn't buy it from the other store is because the color is not brown. Ashley had both the brown and light gray. I pay for the furniture and we agreed upon brown. I call to change the delivery date because I needed time to remove old furniture since they don't.
I went in person, set a new delivery date and l change my order from two queen sofa to one queen and a love seat. Everything was finalize. The sale manager said "it is not the same sofa." I said "yeah it is. The only difference is the color and the cushion is two instead of three." The man, the salesman brought it my attention the light color sofa and told us "look, here is the same but in a lighter color." But manager came took over the sale. He wasn't pleased because he had to match the price. I ended up saving almost 400.00. So he wanted to spite me by giving me the wrong color sofa. When I got home from work and saw the sofa I told Brandon the sales manager "why you send me the wrong color sofa?" He said the that brown sofa is different. I told him the only difference is the color and only reason why I didn't buy from the other store is because they didn't have it in brown.
I feel that I was tricked and Ashley wanted the sale no matter what the coast. The reason why he match the price because it was their brand sofa. I ask them to exchange it and they say no. So I am stuck with a sofa color I don't like. The brown sofa came with red pillow and I ask the sales manager how much is the pillow he told me it comes with sofa. That tell me that he was selling me the brown sofa. He say you are getting the light color sofa. He let us believe we were getting brown. I will never set foot back in that store. They at least try to make the customer happy.

I bought an L section living room from Ashley and high chair. The moment the delivery guy left I found out that the chair fabric has a cut. I called Ashley care. The customer service said will order the parts send you a technician to fix it. I did not believe my ears. Wasted three days to have the technician coming and he basically had to disassemble the entire fabric to fix it. If Ashley is a good company they should have replaced the chair not to waste three days of my busy time to have their technician fixing the chair at my home. If they send a quality product, I would have to waste three days of my life.

After our home flooded here in Texas we needed to hurry and do repairs and get new furniture to replace what had floated down the river. As we were driving through a shopping center we saw Ashley Furniture and decided to look. HUGE Mistake! Like others have said, I regret the day we walked through the door! After buying 2 chairs, 2 recliners and a rug we were told it would be about a week for the chairs to be delivered but the rug was unclear as it would come directly from another place. So, the 4 chairs arrived only to find that one of the recliners was broken. I started making calls to "customer care" as they call it only to be kept on hold for 30 min. each time I called. And, no answers.
Finally, they sent a representative out to my home that they said was a "repairman" but it was a woman that only looked at it, took pictures and agreed that "yes, it's broken". She said she would put the report in and they would call. Well, you can guess NO call came. So, I had to start calling and again the 30 min holds. They finally said they would replace the chair and it would be another week. So, I arrived at the confirmed time and the truck drivers pulled up and take out a chair that is not correct. I told them to just put it down as it's wrong. They come in and agree, "yes, it's wrong." They said they would put it in the system and I would get a call. NO call.
So, I call the gal that sold me the things. She starts trying to help me. But, at this point I still have a broken chair. OH, and the rug I still don't have after 6 weeks, I finally find out it's on back order. No emails or calls to give me this little bit of information. I would have appreciated knowing this as I had plans and now I have to ask someone to watch my home for this stupid rug to be delivered. All very frustrating. I'll never shop at Ashley's again and highly recommend you stay away. Hope to see "going out of business signs" AFTER I get my chair and rug! All just insult to injury after being a flood victim.

It's been more than 3 weeks since delivery of a bedroom set. Dresser was broken upon delivery. After days of a technician coming out, no return phone calls, no communication from them and 2 visits to the store myself (one time they said the new dresser is being delivered that day, but we never got a call about it and it was already 6 pm) along with missed work time, they finally delivered a new dresser. It was broken, again. Now we have to go through the, "we'll call within 24-48 hours," routine in which the two of the three times they said that before, they never called. Since our work and weekend schedules are filled, we will be going well over a month between purchasing the dresser and getting a new one.
And through all of this, we've talked to about 15 different Ashley reps and I only think 2 in-store reps were apologetic. Everyone else has not cared at all about inconveniencing us. No offers on how to make it better or how to make us happy. Missed work time, canceling weekend and July 3rd plans for the, "we'll show up from 12-5:30" lingo. The price drops to $3100 then he says "You MUST Buy the protection plan" (says who you?? The seller). I don't want the protection plan. His reply is "This is the price, with the protection plan." They kept asking me where I wanted my monthly payment to be. You haven't even given me a grand total at that point. I'll never buy from them. Ashley Furniture, IN customer care: This is the worst customer service experience of my life. I called the (809) 509-8863 service number yesterday and was told I would receive a call back today regarding a warranty question. I never received that call so I called back today and asked the status of someone getting back to me, I was told to "hold on" while I heard the service rep laughing and joking with other people in the background. After 5 min I ask if she was still there. She (Marla) then reluctantly ask for my phone number and name. I am hold while she talks for another 10 minutes! Thinking she's looking something up.. I ask if there was a problem.. She tells me the system is very slow, then she proceeds to leave me on hold for 20 minutes (this time she has me on mute)!!! After 20 Plus minutes of waiting I am hung up on!
I call back 4 times and continue to be disconnected after line says I'm on hold. I wait 10 minutes then call back again. After I told the woman I needed to speak a manager regarding being put on hold for 30 min she tells me she's getting a manager and makes me wait another 25 minutes before I hung up! These people in that office working that shift between 5 - 6:30 all need to be put on probation! During this time I was also manipulated to think they looked up my account and I was told I didn't have a warranty. The sad part is they never verified any information or looked up my account.
When I pointed this out they told me they were able to pull it up from my phone number. I then ask them which phone number and they tell me the one I am calling from. Ironically enough the phone I was using was not even used on the account!!! This is what happened before she put me on hold again. I am beyond livid and I plan on reposting this and calling, emailing, writing every corporate or owner related person for this store until someone addresses this problem. I will also be reporting this to every service agency I can find. Thank you..

When my family and I moved to North Carolina in June of this year, we decided to invest some money to make our house feel more like home. We spent a few days exploring the local area, and decided our money would be well spent at Ashley Furniture in Fayetteville. As returning customers (our last purchase was in Texas in 2013), we were sure the experience would be good. If we had known that our 08 June purchase would turn into more than a month of repeated disappointment, frustrating conversations with customer service personnel, and seven days of lost income due to (incorrect) furniture deliveries, I never would have walked in the door. To say we are disappointed customers would be an understatement.
Bottom line up front: It will take at least thirteen delivery dates to fulfill the two-day delivery obligation that we agreed to. To date, only one of seven purchased items have reached our household in acceptable condition. We are miserable with our Ashley experience and are tired of being blown off by customer service representatives who say, "We'll talk compensation when everything is delivered." I have emailed wecare@shopashley.com and have received no response.

Ashley Furniture stores are nothing but a SCAM. I bought some leather chairs that were nice in the store (I was assured they were genuine leather) and when they were delivered, they REEKED of chemicals. They smelled nothing like leather. I know this is not normal because I have ordered new leather furniture before, from another major furniture store, and they did not stink at all. These chairs stunk up my whole living room so much that I can't even sit in the same room with them. When I called to ask for a refund, I was told they could not be returned for a refund, but they could order me new ones, or I could have store credit. WHO DOESN'T OFFER A REFUND ON A BRAND NEW PRODUCT???

BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!! DON'T EVER SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE EVER EVER EVER, WHETHER YOU FINANCE OR PAY CASH OR YOUR OWN CARD. Their policies are appalling!!! I understand yes it's just a couch. PROBLEM IS, their policy if the couch you want isn't in stock and it's going to take an unreasonable amount of time you can choose another couch. So the only thing we like is a couch that is cheaper than what we've already purchased. Their policy only allows you to swap for something the same price or more expensive. HOW IS IT EVEN LAWFUL FOR YOU TO DICTATE HOW WE SPEND OUR MONEY when we didn't find anything that would satisfy us for the same price or better when asked for our money back? Ashley Furniture only gives store credit!!!
After strategically arguing with this woman who was finally able to produce a couch after I'd argued with her we'll never shop there again couch or no couch and after this experience happening with them WE NO LONGER WANT THE COUCH, WE JUST WANT OUR MONEY TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Then they tell us they'll charge a cancellation fee of 25% of the cost which is 2,270$ - I lost it. How can you lawfully charge me a cancelling or restocking fee of a product 5 minutes you said wasn't even in stock and more were being made??? So now the options are, we've agreed that they have the couch we want in our house this Thursday or they're giving us a full refund..... Really hoping this couch doesn't even show up. I understand this is 1st world BS but at the same time, you don't dictate hard-working people's money. This is more than a couch and cash, this is what power we have left.
When we make a large purchase on an item for our home, it's not about decor or trends. It's about keeping our home a home, something we come back to after a hard day, the place where we live and feel protection. When you dictate how we can or cannot purchase or receive our hard-earned dollars back you're playing with fire and you will get burned. I wish we'd gone to Miller Waldrop. I know they're expensive but they've always been gracious and good at their job and at the end of the day we like their company and we love our items and their good quality. I would rather buy the same couch for more at Miller Waldrop just for the better experience. NEVER EVER GO TO ASHLEY UNLESS YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO WALK OUT OF THE STORE WITH YOUR ITEM IN HAND OR YOU WILL GET SCREWED. We learned our lesson.

I'll make this as brief as I can. Bought a sectional, ottoman and side chair. The delivery team scratched the driveway with their truck, put a HUGE gouge in our newly refinished hardwood floors and after seeing these poorly constructed pieces in our home we called our salesperson to get them returned. My salesperson didn't return my calls and when I FINALLY got through to the customer service department, (4 calls, 20 min on hold and then it disconnects you!!) I was told I wasn't within the 48 hour returns window, so I could have a store credit. Here's the deal, you actually have to be able to speak to someone to have this happen! Our salesperson told us to call HIM and gave us his personal cell phone # to call with any issues (we told him the ottoman may not fit and we'd need to return it if that was the case).
Finally last Wednesday I was told that they were going to issue the refund back to my card in 24 hours and arrange for pickup. They have NOT issued a credit or arranged for pickup. At this point I'm going to retain an attorney. They make it impossible to communicate with them, just give their customer service a call and see for yourself, good luck! (I'm actually sitting in a phone queue as I'm typing this 25+ min.) I own a retail clothing store for 13 years and if this was the way I conducted business I would no longer be open.

I WILL ALWAYS REGRET THE DAY I STEPPED INTO ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! We had a bedroom and living room set from Ashley Furniture delivered to our brand new house. When the delivery men left we noticed that our iPad was missing. We were using it right before they came and no one else was in the house. The house was practically empty so there was absolutely no way to misplace it. The people at corporate are not helping us. They keep pushing the problem on to other areas of the company and no one will take responsibility. The only response I have got from them is that they asked the delivery drivers and they said they didn't do it so I should try somehow to track the iPad. This iPad had videos of the first time my son ever walked and these memories will be forever lost. My family is completely devastated over this incident. On top of all that, the wrong furniture was also delivered to us!

I ordered $6,000 worth of furniture from Ashley Furniture in Fairfield, NJ on April 25, 2015. I paid cash in full. I scheduled delivery for June 12th. A few days before June 12th my wife receives a call that all the items are not available and most are on back order. I get off work and go to the store to find the slowest manager ever. I mean definitely rode on the short school bus. Her name was Ethel. She actually sits there and tries to tell me the list of what is on back order and won't be there. Really? I needed her to tell me why after paying full my items are not ready 6 weeks later. I tell her "I want my money back in full or have my full order by Monday." (It was Wednesday.)
I get a call in two days that everything will be there on Weds. Cool. Weds comes of course several items are missing. So after several calls, lies and 3 deliveries later, I am still missing items! Worst customer ever. No call backs, no updates just lies and passing of the buck time and time again. I don't know when this will be resolved but they will fulfill their obligations.

I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience with the Ashley Home Store in Boca Raton, FL. My husband & I went in specifically for a mirror that I have wanted for some time. Our salespersons name was Gail & she was helpful. We were unsure of the size etc of the mirror & look of the console table we had selected so I asked Gail what the return policy was. She informed us we had 72 hours for a return. I then asked her "is that for a full refund?" She said "yes, but you will have to return them to our Tamarac warehouse." Although that is close to an hour drive I said it would be ok. The mirror would fit in my car but I could not fit both pieces so I agreed to the $100 delivery fee. Upon delivery there was a wooden flourish on the front of the table that is too frilly & the wrong look for our home which could not be seen in the store because the table was tucked in between a bed & another piece of furniture.
Upon delivery we decided the table was not quite right so I called customer service to arrange for the return of the item. During the call I was informed the table was not in fact returnable for a refund but for re-selection only & we would have to pay a 15% restocking fee. Surprised I explained that Gail had told us otherwise & she said I would need to speak to Gail about it. I called Gail & sent her an email which she returned that day. I explained the situation & even she accepted the fact that there was a miscommunication & she was referring only to the mirror on the return for a refund statement. I agreed that miscommunications happen & she agreed to speak to her manager about a refund or possibly even just waiving the 15% restocking fee & offering us a re-selection.
The next morning Gail called & informed me that absolutely nothing would be done. I don't think I was being unreasonable in my request as I have already had to pay a delivery fee, will have to drive an hour out of my way to return the item to the warehouse costing me time & gas money. All I was looking for was a reasonable resolution for both parties but it appears I won't be getting that. My husband & I have spent over $13,000 this past year at City & Ashley furniture stores & we love shopping there. We will not continue to do business with these companies.

Purchased living room furniture in August '14 which was delivered mid Sept. The delivery was fine and free from hassle. By December we knew that something was definitely wrong with both our couch and chair (both reclining pieces). Due to snow issues where we live we could not get to the store until January. We explained to the manager what was wrong with our furniture and we were told that we had to contact customer service. After calling customer service a number of times we received a call back and we were told a tech would be out in two weeks. Two weeks later we had another snow storm and had to postpone - new appointment with tech in another two weeks. (During this time we received all sorts of packages from customer service to "fix" our furniture.) This new appointment was cancelled by customer service due to a personal emergency. Finally a week or two later the tech came to our home.
After looking at both our couch and chair the tech tells us that he cannot fix them at our home and both would need to go back to the factory. The chair was never stuffed properly would have to be taken apart. The couch frame was never built correctly and would need to be redone. After the tech left we placed a call to customer service - my contact had the day off. Called the next week and left a message. Called the week after and left a message, and so on and so on. Meanwhile it's now the end of May. Still have not had anything done and don't know why brand new furniture is being "fixed" instead of replaced. After searching Google for any information on this store or its affiliates, we find that the owner has more than just this franchise. After many more calls we manage to get in touch with a manager from another store that says he'll make sure we get called back from customer service.
Amazingly enough on Tuesday morning customer service calls and tells me that they need to schedule pickup of our furniture to be fixed. I explain that I don't want brand new furniture fixed, it should be replaced. I am then told that the manager of customer service would make that decision and I would receive a call back later that day. I did receive a call from the CS manager who promptly informed me that I'd had the furniture far too long to be replaced. After spending the past 6 months not having my calls returned it's my fault the furniture has been in my house too long? It was still brand new when I started with the issue. I was told that after having it repaired if I was still not satisfied that possibly then it could be replaced. I will NEVER be satisfied - new means perfect. Not repairable. The furniture should have come from the factory in perfect condition. But no, they tell me that they can pick it up and it will be just a couple of days.
So now they expect me to take time off from work to be there for them to pick it up and bring it back - are they paying for me to take off from work? No, of course they are not. If this is their idea of customer satisfaction then I would prefer to NEVER shop there again. I would recommend that no one ever shop there because it seems to be hit or miss if your furniture is built correctly. And then of course customer service will play "let's not return your calls" in a timely manner so that they don't have to be honorable. What a horrible way to do business - to take people's hard earned money and just not care. And then, why bother to call it customer service? You're certainly not servicing anything but your own pockets. If you want GOOD furniture go ELSEWHERE!! You might spend a bit more, but it will be worth it in the long run!! Read less.

We were also told Ashley delivered their own furniture - not a 3rd party. Both of these statements were lies. On a Thursday, we confirmed a delivery window of 3 hours for the following day and took the following day off (cost of a day's pay). 10 minutes after being late the driver called and asked for specific directions then never showed up, called back to verify, or answered the multiple calls we placed.
We went to the store that night to get a refund and were told that had to happen within 48 hours of delivery and were told it was a 3rd party delivery service. After waiting on a phone with a customer service person at the store for 48 minutes we were told the driver was at our house and would wait 20 minutes. We purchased a whole living room set, formal dinner set and all of the protection, and we were happy with what we purchased until it was time for delivery and payment.
We spent over 2 hours going over the receipt because the salesman put down the wrong prices - if we didn't go over it, we would have paid about 2k more than what it should have been. The salesman showed us a great entertainment center and the price was amazing, but we made sure to tell him specifically, " WE DO NOT WANT A FLOOR MODEL" and he assured us that this was not a floor model. But when we received it in our home, there were scratches, dings, cracks, missing shelves, and so on.
As far as the delivery goes, we were supposed to get everything in 2 shipments, but they had to come out 4 times to deliver one piece at a time and when they say they will come out, I HAVE to wait for them. I am extremely disappointed with Ashley furniture. I will never buy another piece of furniture here. I have not received my furniture. The delivery system is a nightmare. First, I received a phone call to set up a time... which I had to keep calling back, leaving messages and not receiving any calls back. My husband and I work during the week and apparently the truck cannot come with the hours we get off. So, Saturday delivery you would think correct? Well I rudely get told I need to call the store I purchased from, which I did. I also work Saturday's, so hoping I would get a "3 hour window" as I was instructed during my first phone call I was told that is not the case.
I was told they do not know the schedule of the trucks and I would have to schedule and find out the day before and if it doesn't work, I need to reschedule until the times work. Are you serious? So after paying an arm and a leg for this furniture to which isn't even delivered to my home, I have to be at their mercy? What a horrible and rude experience. I only had two interactions on the phone and this is why I will never buy another piece of furniture from this establishment. Very poor customer service. Extremely disappointed.

Less than a year ago we had purchased our dining room table and chairs. A few months ago, 1 of the chairs broke. Then last month another chair broke on which my 1 year old was sitting on and fell. I called the store numerous times and spoke to the manager and the receptionist on duty. Till this day I am awaiting for my phone call back and for the solution to the breaking of these products.

I know that Ashley Furniture has my email because I received delivery information and all of the emails from Wayfair. I just got dinged on my credit for a no payment!!! BEWARE PEOPLE! RUN LIKE HELL FROM THIS COMPANY. Extremely unethical and con sham operations! They will screw you over just as they have thousands of unsuspecting victims. No matter how good their stuff looks, THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY WILL DELIVER TO YOU! THEY SENT ME TWO MISMATCHED, UNMATCHED LEATHER PIECES AND TIED locked them together and said "now you're stuck with it". They refuse to make good on the mis-delivery and now I have 2 non-matched sofa pieces in one sofa is leather recliner. At first they delivered not even any reclining pieces! And they said "well no big deal, so you paid $1800 and it doesn't recline, use it for 2 years and then eventually it will recline". Their delivery told me "so what if they are totally different colors, different sizes, one side is 2 inches taller from seam to seam and cushion to cushion".
The delivery said after I sat on it for 2 years, one side would shrink inches and the shorter side would grow. I'M SERIOUS! The owner is a billionaire and can just pay any government office off so there is no one to go against them. You will be in small claims court hoping they didn't pay off the judge with their owner's billions of dollars. This has been going on since August of last year and just now they told me I'm screwed and no one can make them obey anything, so now must sue for $5000 as this issue has taken immense amount of my time and made me very sick, causing ulcers. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE HOMESTORE... YOU WILL REGRET IT! Believe me, they will not deliver whatever you select in the store. They operate a bait and switch operation as I've seen thousands of complaints on this.

May 25, 2015 I went into the Ashley Furniture store at 14810 N. Frwy. Houston, Texas 77090 to purchase a living area set that I had seen in their store prior to this visit. I paid cash for the cocktail & sofa tables and financed the sofa, love seat and accent chair. It is now June 25th and I STILL do not have all of the furniture I purchased. On June 1st I picked up the sofa table and took it home. It was fine.
On June 5th I picked up the cocktail table (still in the box) and took it home. When I got it home, got it out of the box and assembled it I realized the table was damaged. I called the store and was told to keep the table until the replacement came in on June 11. On June 11 I returned the sofa table to the store and exchanged it for another one. Got it home, took it out of the box and found that THAT ONE was damaged also.
Moving on to the other pieces... I was told, originally, the sofa, love seat and accent chair would be ready for pick up by the 4th of June. It was not. I spoke with the manager several times and he assured me the furniture would be ready no later than the 11th. I don't own a truck so picking up furniture is something I have schedule with my friend in order to get it done. I was about to leave to go get the rest of my furniture and decided to call and verify that it had arrived.
It had not. The customer service rep told me that something had happened with the furniture that was financed and there was a hold placed on the order. The order had never been placed. I asked to speak to the manager ** and waited several minutes for him to get on the phone. When he got on the phone, he told me that he would PERSONALLY see to it that the hold was lifted and my furniture order was placed.
I told him that because I had been treated so poorly the least they could do would be to deliver it instead of having me come back AGAIN to pick it up. He agreed and said he would see if that was something he could authorize, and it would be delivered on June 19th. He also said he would call me back within 15 minutes to confirm. An hour later I had to call him back to check the status and found out that he never lifted the hold, placed the order OR scheduled the delivery.
The CSR then told me to contact customer care to ask about having the furniture delivered for the inconvenience they had caused me. They had no knowledge of it. Finally, I was told my furniture was ordered and would be delivered on June 24th between the hours of 10am-1pm. I scheduled the morning off work (I don't get paid if I don't work) and waited for them to call.
At 9:15 am I got a call telling me that they could not deliver any of my furniture because the sofa was damaged while being loaded onto the delivery truck. Furious, I asked him if they could at least deliver the undamaged loveseat and accent chair since I had given all of my old furniture away, and was told the finance company does not allow partial deliveries and asked to reschedule the delivery for July 2nd. At 9:45 I got another call from Ashley Furniture asking if I would like to have my accent chair delivered since it wasn't damaged.
(Clearly, these people need to get their lies straight). The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I was told by the guy who delivered the accent chair that the loveseat wasn't even on the truck for delivery. How were they going to deliver a partial order when the finance company has strict rules about that? To end this story I am telling you that I am about to make the SECOND payment on furniture I do not yet have!

After taking off work, called to complain and customer service said tech was there but no one was home BS. They then changed their story and said tech was there but at an earlier time than what was scheduled. Finally had tech scheduled and he did show up on time, only a week later!!!
Tech agreed sofa and end tables were defective and need to be replaced. We told tech we were not comfortable with the quality of the products and wanted them to be returned. The sales person told us over and over we had 14 days to return items. Now we are told we had 48 hours to cancel. That's 48 hours from purchase NOT delivery. I called the store and was told by ** the service manager that we could come into the store and "reselect" items at equal to or greater dollar amount and no we could not have a refund. The bed was so large until we had several people to help us to get the bed in the house. Once we got the bed in the house it so many parts to the bed and the poster to the bed was extremely large that it was no way one person could put this bed together. The finance company called and told them they had to get someone out soon to put the bed together because I was not making a payment until they assemble the bed. When they came out to put the bed together they were missing necessary screws. The guys had to go to several places to try and find the screw and never found screw for 2 post. They also used alternative screws that did not come with the bed were used. Later we moved from our house, upon moving the mattress less than 7 months separated at the seamline. And one of the huge post separated or cracked. Went to the Ashley Furniture on Airport Road in Arden NC. We picked out a Tempurpedic adjustable bed, very expensive for a bed. The first issue was that we were informed that the salesman told us the wrong price, only off about $4000. After mattresses protectors and bedding were added the total came to about $12,000... for a bed? But it's what my wife wanted so it was a done deal. Arrangements were made for all the items to be delivered together on June 10th 2015. Delivery crew showed up, removed the old bed and set up the new one. When asked about the bedding and mattress protector they said that they didn't have it but thought it was at the store for us to pick up. After they left we contacted the store and were told the bedding would be in on Monday. What the heck?
So now we have a new bed that we can't use because the bedding wouldn't be here for 5 days. Plus the fact that we will be out of town next week. The store manager was "busy" and was supposed to call back. At this time, 1 1/2 hours later, still no return call. Emailed the corporate offices and got a reply that said that store was independently owned and set their own policies. Basically saying "too bad for you". Again, What the heck? So after this I'm pretty sure I'm finished with Ashley Furniture.

WARNING: ASHLEY FURNITURE HOMESTORE (AFH) IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER JOKE! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY BY SHOPPING SOMEWHERE ELSE! This is my experience from HELL. First and foremost, I will give credit where it is due. Our salesman was fantastic. He was attentive, helpful, and personable. He should work for company that reflects his work ethic because AFH certainly does not.
In May 2015, we paid AFH in Sarasota, Florida, to furnish almost every room of our new home. Our grand total was approximately $14,000; We paid $12,000+ upfront, and financed the rest. Once we put in the order, and established a delivery date, we learned that a few items might not be available at the time that the majority of the items would be. We didn't see that as too much of a problem, and decided that we would schedule delivery after ALL of the items were available, which would be on June 2nd.
At that time, we made a decision that we would make June 4th our move in date since we ordered new bedroom sets, and were getting rid of our other ones, and would need a place to sleep. We gave our landlord an official move out date, and scheduled the power to be turned off at the rental property, hired our moving company, and commenced with the moving out process. After much anticipation and excitement, we were finally moving to the house we waited months for to be built. On June 2nd, we received a call from AFH letting us know that there was a discrepancy in our order, and our love-seat and end tables might not be delivered. We didn't like it, but we didn't see too much of an issue and agreed that we would accept delivery for another date on those items.
On June 3rd, we received a call from AFH now letting us know that there might be issues with the mattresses we ordered, and they might not be delivered on June 4th. We explained to them that was not acceptable and we did not agree with this. We demanded that the issue be solved and the mattresses be delivered on time. They said that they would do everything that they could to make sure we received them. They explained that they should be in the warehouse on the date of delivery, but just didn't know what time and should be able to be delivered, but just wanted us to know in case they couldn't be. On June 4th, the delivery drivers arrived with our furniture. They began to assemble the items out of their truck, and bring them in piece by piece. Everything appeared to be going smoothly.
They assembled the bedroom furniture for both our master bedroom and our sons, brought in dressers, office desk, bookcases, kitchen tables, chairs, barstools, entertainment center, and the sofa. Everything appeared to be going as normal. They started bringing in our box springs, and then our king size mattress. After that, the driver started to prepare the paperwork for me to sign. I explained to him that there was a full size mattress missing, and told him about the missing love-seat and end tables and how we were aware of them being delivered on another date. He looked at me like I was insane. He provided me with an itemized receipt, and told me to check it over. I pointed out the missing items. He really had nothing to say about it, and told us to get with the store. In the meantime, all the shelves to our new $3,000.00 entertainment center were laying on a blanket they had laid in the middle of my living room.
As he started to leave, we asked him about finishing the job, and putting the shelves in. He advised that it was up to the customer to do, and directed me to little bags of pegs that he left sprawled all over the top of the entertainment center, and then they left. Upon his departure, I started to assemble the shelves, and ran out of pegs. They didn't provide enough for me to put up all the shelves. Angered, I went through my house, and looked over the other furniture. I was VERY disappointed with what I found next. For our home office, we purchased two book shelves (about $400 a piece). On the inside of the top left corner of each bookcase, a very large warning sticker (about 8 inches long, and 3 inches wide) was stuck to them. It appeared that someone tried to peel one off, and couldn't, so they just left it. They are a complete eyesore.
On each piece of furniture, there was an advertisement hanging from it by a string that was tied in a knot: a real pain in the a-- to remove; Upon removing them, I discovered that all the furniture was made in China; yet another disappointment. At that time, we decided to call the store to voice our disappointment and find out exactly when the mattress for our son's' room would be delivered. Upon calling the store, we were told that they had no answer on the mattress and it was due in the warehouse today. We also expressed our dissatisfaction on the entertainment center situation, and the horrendous stickers on the bookcases. The representative we spoke with did everything in her power to try to rectify the situation, but unfortunately, her voice only went so far. As a result, we received a call from another representative claiming to be some sort of manager, from another location.
Talking to him was a complete waste of time. He had no solutions about the mattress and the bookcases. He called the representative at our store and told her that our only concern was the missing pegs, and to have some mailed to us. She was confused and explained to him that was not our only concern. After growing frustrated with him, she decided to schedule a technician to come to our house and fix the issues. She was hopeful that she would be able to get him to our home that same day. Unfortunately, that did not happen. An appointment has been scheduled for him to come on Wednesday, June 10th. We still don't have a time frame; He will call when he's on the way, which is a huge inconvenience for working people. Furthermore, thanks to Mattress Firm, and their amazing customer service, and quick turn-around time, my son has a mattress to sleep on.
After several phone conversations with AFH on the mattress, we still couldnt get an answer, so we gave up. Unfortunately, his first night in our brand new home, he had to sleep on his floor. We have started the process of getting a refund on the mattress, which can take up to 2-4 weeks. As of today, we still have a blanket of shelves lying on our living room floor, bookcases with atrocious stickers, and no love-seat and end tables. Thanks Ashley Furniture Homestore for ruining what should have been one of the most exciting, monumental days of our lives. As if building a house, and all that comes with it isn't stressful enough.

We recently purchased 2 dining room tables, 12 chairs and a gigantic sectional from Ashley Furniture in Lexington Kentucky. From start to finish we have been so disappointed with the way they handle business. We could hardly get 5 minutes with our salesman. We were asking other customers questions about furniture because we couldn't find an employee. When our furniture was delivered one of the delivery guys dropped a cushion on the way in so he kicked it the rest of the way down the hall to the living room. He propped a cushion up on the concrete stoop outside. When he carried the chairs in he hit the wall and chipped the drywall. Never even apologized. They left staples sticking out of the bottom of the table. I discovered that when my toe snagged on one of the broken staples. Several of our chairs wobble.
After we saw the sectional we decided we needed to add a piece and make it longer. Our salesman seemed annoyed to get our business. I drove 45 minutes to the warehouse in the pouring rain. Waited 20 minutes while they loaded a U-haul. Finally they told me there was a leak in the roof and our furniture was wet and ruined. For this inconvenience they gave us free delivery. How about pay for my babysitter, fuel and mileage Ashley? After owning the sectional for only two weeks certain pieces look years older than they should. The fabric is loose and bunches. Some cushions cannot be used because you fall over, they are so "deflated". I feel as though we've been mistreated and disrespected by their lack of care. They don't care as long as they "make the sale."

I wanted to post an update to the issue with Ashley Furniture Homestore in Clearwater, FL. I was contacted by one of their managers shortly after I posted my original review. I was offered to either return the item, but pay a restocking fee of 20%, or return the item for equal amount of store credit. I chose to pay the restocking fee and be done with the issue. This issue has been resolved. My only words to anyone reading this is to read the fine print and get anything verbally stated in writing.

My wife and I went to Ashley Furniture Homestore to look for a new mattress. My wife has back problems so we conveyed to the sales rep that we were hesitant to purchase because of this. We were informed that if we purchased the store's mattress cover we would not only be protecting the 10 yr warranty on the mattress we would not have a problem returning the mattress if it did not work out. This was repeated several times to the point that you feel there is no risk in the purchase. Never once were we directed to any written policy that explained no returns on mattresses.
On the contrary, at the very end of the deal the rep again repeated we had 60 days to return the mattress. A week later we receive our purchase (king size Stearns & Foster mattress and 2 twin box springs). After the first night on the mattress my wife woke up in pain. We were told we had to give it some time (like 4 weeks). After 5 nights of waking up in pain we drew the line. We wanted to return the mattress. This is when the sales manager at the store makes it a point to be condescending and belittling in telling us the store's policy, regardless what the sales rep said or did. He said he had no control over his employee. I find their behavior and their way of deceiving us into the purchase very unprofessional and unethical.
I've reached out to the stores corporate office in Arcadia, WI, but have not received any correspondence on the matter after a week. I was told two different managers would contact me to discuss my options to resolve my issues. I have not heard from either. Don't purchase anything from this company. You will be sorry. All they care about is sales. Customer satisfaction is not in their company business plan. Consumer protection laws should be changed to address issues like this.

It's funny how they are on lunch, busy on the floor, or in a meeting; every time I call in to the store landline. UPS said I could not open the box until it was delivered. Therefore, those could be broken, too. I went home with the relief that at least two parts arrived today but as stated earlier, when I opened the headboard box, it was broken. I am exhausted from going back and forth between Ashley Furniture and UPS. After speaking to a manager and her manager, they credited my account $35 for all the hassle I went through today... We are financing an Urbanology Wesling dining set. This has been a complete nightmare dealing with Ashley Furniture. We had our first delivery May 13, delivery guy setup the table - did not get a chance to completely inspect the table because I was running late picking up my son. When we return home that evening that is when we saw the problems with this set. First, the two leather chairs had indentation on the right top corner of each chair. As for the table I understand that this type of table have its lumps, but what we have is a badly defected table. The table is leaning down so bad a pencil can't even stay on the table without rolling onto the floor. The delivery guys couldn't even screw the nails in all the way to even out the table. Now we have had two more failed attempts. Customer service people are very rude thinking that these issues are all in our head. Went to Schererville, Indiana location.

The company was supposed to deliver my furniture on June 2, I waited all day lost over 800 bucks in salary for taking off and waited all day even though my window was 2:30-5:30pm. At 745pm a gentleman calls me and states that he has arrived, it turns out the dispatch sent him to Katy Texas, not Houston Texas. I am unsure how you can mess up a zip code, but this is a first for me. I then got it rescheduled to deliver today and took off again losing more money!!! But they stated that it was still on yesterday's manifest so they could not deliver it. WHAT?!
So now I am headed out of town on Friday, for two weeks, and still no darn furniture. I asked for a refund, and they state that I only had 48 hours from purchase to cancel, even though I have yet to get anything. Aghhhh!! I will tell all my military members do not go with Ashley Furniture!!! They charge you more because they know you have a steady income. I went back to the store to get them to price match the couch to that of another local store that was $300 cheaper. They didn't honor their policy, so over this company.

First off, let me start by saying that last July we purchased a bed and nightstand for my daughter at AFW. It was the Ashley signature dollhouse line. AFW brought the items the very next day and assembled them in my home and they're perfect not one issue. Fast forward to 5/2/15 we wanted to purchase a matching dresser and nightstand however AFW was currently out of stock of these items. We decided to go to Ashley and purchase the items. Our salesman ** said he would lower the prices to less than AFW's to save us money blah blah. Ashley's delivery charge was $99 which seemed high. ** assured us that AFW really charges more for delivery but that was a lie. The soonest delivery date was 5/27 which seemed ridiculous but we did it. ** needed help with the computer and called over his unnamed manager who was rude as hell and condescending with ** in front of us.
I had to call and reschedule the delivery because we were not going to be home. Waited on hold for 15 minutes for customer service and got a rude rep who couldn't find our order with our phone number or order # and kept insisting I was giving incorrect info despite the fact I told her that I was looking at my paperwork. She finally found my order 10 minutes later with a new order # but couldn't explain why. We got the delivery rescheduled to 5/30 and they were supposed to call 2 days ahead with our delivery window. That was a lie. I had to call on 5/29 to find out the delivery window because they are "short staffed." Not sure how that's my problem and if the time didn't work that's too bad since it's less than 24 hours out now. I would be charged $49 to reschedule. Complete joke!!
The delivery people finally show up with our pieces and the dresser has chunks of wood missing out of the drawers and on the sides. The back is barely hanging on and the drawers do not line up or close correctly. The nightstand is creaky and has gaps on it and chunks of wood missing too. We complain to the delivery people who speak little to no english and they say they can have someone come out to paint. These items do not need to be painted. We need new items that are correct. The drivers leave and customer service calls a few minutes later to scheduled painting. I said no and ask how to return the items. We're advised to go to the store. Get to the store and greeted by a smiling salesman. The second we ask how to return something he tells us where to go and walks the other way, he didn't even offer to walk us there.
We get to the return desk and are called up by a girl and then directed to another girl. We got a couple pathetic "I'm sorry's" and that was it. The rude manager was standing there but did not acknowledge or anything. Ashley does not do pick ups on Sundays or Mondays so we're stuck with this garbage furniture until Saturday and then can get a refund. AFW is bringing our new items on Monday and it's even less than what Ashley charged. Funny how that happens when we "were given such a great deal". It absolutely amazes me how this pathetic store is still in business. We have had issues with a sofa and recliner purchased here in the past as well. I will NEVER STEP FOOT IN ANOTHER ASHLEY AGAIN. I will shop at AFW or Roomstore which is two doors down and I caution others to do the same.

We bought a fabric sectional from Ashley Furniture 1 year and 3 months ago (February 2014). This couch now looks like it is 10 years old. The fabric is drab and saggy. It's pilling and the cushions hardly stay on the couch. We paid over $ 3,000 for the couch and ottoman, and we expected to have this couch for years. We did purchase the extended warranty, and when I contacted them they said that none of our issues are their problem. They'll send someone out to "have a look" at the sagging, but "it's normal wear and tear." So at this rate, we should plan to buy a new couch every 18 months? This is crazy. I will never set foot in their stores again. They obviously don't stand behind their products, as no couch should look this worn and old when it is technically still new.

I have a serious back condition. 11" back fusion and severe psoriatic arthritis. I'm disabled due to my back condition. We asked for a salesman knowledgeable in mattresses and let him know specifics of my back condition and asked for adjustable mattress suitable for someone with major back issues. We tried a few mattresses and he suggested the mattress we bought. When my husband asked if a pillow top mattress would help, he said this mattress would relieve the pressure points better. Instead of relieving the pressure points it made it even worse. We called the store manager and asked to upgrade the mattress because the mattress created more back pain.
After waiting a few days for a response we were told they would not exchange the mattress even though it was encased in their protective covering. The manager suggested we buy a topper. Is that what you want to hear after you purchase a mattress supposedly on sale for $2,800? The manager virtually made our case that their mattress wasn't adequate for our needs. After adding a 4" memory foam topper on this mattress it's still not comfortable. We are stuck and have to buy another mattress from another store. The day of the delivery, it was discovered that Ashley had sent the wrong color loveseat - being brown instead of the grey I ordered. The delivery team took photos and made the notation in their app on their smartphone. I was witness to this, as he showed me the notation when he made it. We were told that Ashley would contact us for delivery arrangements for the correct piece. In the meantime, we were allowed to keep the wrong loveseat as a loaner.
Two weeks pass and we still had not heard anything from Ashley. I contacted the local store where the purchase was made, and was routed to a customer service line. No one ever answered the line and although the recording said we could leave a message by pressing #, the system did not acknowledge that # was being pressed. Finally got in touch with someone at the store, they place the order again, delivered the wrong color furniture again on 3/28. Damaged our door frame in the process of the attempted delivery.
Redelivery has been rescheduled no less than three times since 3/28, Ashley keeps pushing it out (and they didn't even tell us they needed to reschedule on the last delivery date - they just didn't show up.) I have sent repair estimates to the delivery manager and called and left messages - no response. She also indicated that I could return the mattress if I did not like it after 5-7 days as long as I bought this protector. We even looked at another option just in case this happened.
I got my furniture and mattress almost 70 days later and the mattress was purchased that day via credit card. Love my furniture but hate the mattress! I called customer service and the general manager of the store to report my issue. I was told there is no comfort guarantee. I stated that his staff guaranteed me a exchange if I was unhappy with the mattress. I am waiting for their mattress specialist to come out and look to see if it is a manufacturing defect. This mattress sucks. I feel like I'm in a hole and can't get out. It's hot and not comfortable.
My mother warned me prior to getting this type of mattress but was assured by the sales associate that I would like it and that if I didn't I could exchange it. The only reason why I bought it was because of her confidence and assuring me that I could exchange it. I've been told that the sales associate did not say this, but will send someone out to inspect it. Mind you I had my mom on the phone and she heard the whole conversation. So these people are not honest and would sell their soul to the devil, just to make money off of you. Please beware of the mattress department! They are liars and thieves. I hope that I get satisfaction with this mattress in a few weeks, otherwise this will not be the last time they hear from me. I have also bought and paid for accent pillows that I have not received yet. Still waiting and it's been almost 90 days.

I explain to her that this mattress has caused issues with my sciatica nerve, it's hot, I feel like I'm in a hole, and that I am very unhappy with this mattress. They made no effort in pleasing me. My WARNING to you: DO NOT purchase anything from them, furniture or mattress! In January we went back to our local store in Ontario, Oregon and thought that we would try another time. We found a chair (power recliner) that we thought would work for us. We paid what we thought was a fair price and was told that it would be 2 to 4 weeks for delivery. It was about six weeks before we received it, my wife tried to cancel the order but was talked out of it by the manager. Since we have had the chair, it has not been the most comfortable chair to relax in. Two to three weeks ago my son noticed that something was wrong with the back of the chair. We turned it over and found that there were several broken pieces in the back of the chair.
Just got off the phone with the manager at the store and told him the situation and told him that I would like a refund and he said that it wasn't going to happen and to bring it to him and they would fix it. I asked how long it would be and he said that his guy was on vacation and he didn't know how long it would be. Stay tuned.

I bought the "L" shape sectional sofa and a recliner chair about three years ago. The color was dark chocolate. Within first 6 months, the color started fading on one of the seats of the sofa and the recliner chair. The color changed from original dark chocolate to pink. I purchased these furniture from All Brand Furniture, located at Perth Amboy, N.J. I went to them and complained about my findings after about 9 months. They told me to go to Ashley Furniture. I logged a complaint to Ashley Furniture. Ashley Furniture told me to go to the place from where I bought it. So I again went to All Brand Furniture. They told me that they do not make that furniture any more and Hence my complaint cannot be satisfied. Both Ashley and All brand Furniture raised their hand about their product and at last they told me to get it repaired at my cost from local sofa repairs shop at my cost.

The company has a disdain for their customers and their staff. Shipping dates are always wrong and get pushed out. Mine was pushed out 3 times. And I had church members over to help me move my old furniture around and out of the house each time. Needless to say, my friends got a little perturbed, as well. The furniture comes in RTA. (Ready to Assemble) So there is no check or balance before the furniture is delivered to you. The delivery people come and if there is a problem with the furniture, it gets sent back only for you to wait another 2 months to get a replacement and hope the replacement is in good order when they deliver.
I had a couple of friends purchase from Ashley and they had horror stories, too. I also know a couple of people who worked for the company and is no longer there as they could not tolerate this type of working conditions. It's was kind of like ordering furniture from a catalog, except with no chance of return or refund if you are not satisfied. Instead, you get a restocking fee imposed on you that can be hundreds of dollars. In today's world, Customer Service and Product Integrity is very important and this company lacks severely in both categories. Beware of their advertising, as well. It is completely flawed.

We purchased a kitchen table, sectional, end tables, TV stand, lamp, candles and pillows, from Ashley Furniture in Shiloh, IL. When we purchased the furniture the sales representative couldn't have been any better. She was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and assisted us with everything that we needed. That's where their excellent service has ended. We purchased the furniture in early April and was told it would be delivered on May 12th. We were called and told that only a few pieces were in and that it would be late May before they would deliver everything. We requested they deliver the products that were available on May 12th and then the remainder once they were available. We were told by one manager that this would be acceptable only to be called back by someone else telling us it was not. We called the manager back asking if it would be delivered or not (wondering if we should take off work to be home) and she said yes.
The kitchen table, wedge (for sectional), end tables, and TV stand was delivered. Once they left we noticed a gash in the TV stand and a tear in the wedge and called the manager at Ashley immediately. She informed us that when they delivered the rest of our items they would bring us replacement items for the damaged items. Today we were just told they will not bring us replacement items because they will have to inspect the damaged items first and the first time they will be able to do that is early June. I feel like we have been very patient but our patience is running out! Is it too much to ask for brand new furniture in a timely manner especially for the price we are paying?!?! Very frustrating!

Their 3 delivery men assembled my bed and damaged it. When I called for them to send someone to fix it, they sent me on a witch hunt. I have talked to customer care 5 times now, the store manager and now customer care again. They have yet to say that they will have someone fix it. When you call customer care to have it fixed, they send you through a process of phone calls and emails just to get someone out to fix it maybe... and their customer care specialists say "ask you a question" - it's ask dummy! Why wouldn't you want to have a happy customer and just send someone to fix the issue that their delivery men caused? Does not make any sense to me. I have never dealt with a more horrific company! ON 04/18/2015 my wife and I went to Ashley Furniture store and purchased a queen size 10 series memory foam mattress and queen gray foundation. 04/26/2015 mattress delivered. 04/28/2015 mattress has a strong odor. Called Ashley Furniture about the odor on 04/28/2015. 05/02/2015 an inspector sent by them came in, inspected the mattress, told my wife that he smelled something but did not know it was and that the mattress did not measure at the right height and told her that they would have the report by 05/05/2015. We did not get a call at all that day so I called them. I was told by the person on the phone that they wouldn't have the report until Wednesday 05/06/2015 and they would call 05/07/2015.
Again they didn't call so we called them at 4:20pm. This time we were told that the inspector said he couldn't determine if there was actually an odor because my wife had cleaned the bathroom, bleach that day and they mentioned nothing about the height of the mattress and I told them they were basically calling my wife a liar at which point I became very upset. Then they told me they would send another inspector out to do a 2nd inspection. I asked when. She said the inspector would call to schedule an appointment.
On 05/09/2015 the second inspector showed up. His name was **. He told us that he could smell the odor and that it was worse up at the head of the bed than at the foot of the bed. He did not take any measurement of the mattress. We asked him why and he said it wasn't necessary because they were replacing it. I asked when. He said he didn't know but they would have the report but 05/11/2015. He gave us his business card and if we had any questions call him.
05/11/2015 called Ashley Furniture and ask about the report. They told me they didn't have it. I told them that the inspector told us to tell them that if they had any questions to call him. The lady on the phone said she wouldn't call and that the report would be in Wednesday. I called again on Tuesday and asked about the report. The lady on the phone said she would check, came back and said they didn't have it yet and that different inspectors do their reports on different days and that they would call when it came in. My wife went to the store and confronted them. They again put off telling her they would try to email the inspector for his report. So with all our efforts to resolve this problem we are still sleeping on a smelly mattress. It doesn't make any difference to them. They already got their money. I know why my wife and I can't sleep at night but I wonder how they can. They used my cell phone number as an account number.

Found these beautiful chairs I thought would fit perfectly with my table. Since Ashley's was a high-end store, I decided to purchase two armchairs and four side chairs... unaware that there was going to be a $35 charge to put the furniture together. Who charges you to put high end furniture together you get from them?! Anyway, after the $35 charge, taxes, and 20% discount, I paid over $1100 in cash for the chairs. I didn't want to pay close to $200 delivery fee, so I told them that I would get the chairs myself. They told me the chairs will be ready in 2 weeks and when that call came, I got a truck to pick up my chairs. The same man put the chairs together and was going to load them on my truck. Before I let him load, something told me to check the chairs.
Out of 6 chairs, five of the chairs legs were uneven and wobbly, arm was not screwed in properly and the screw was showing, and the seats were not position in the chairs correctly and you could see the staples. The man didn't even take the time to take all the plastic off the chairs and fabric/thread were hanging from each chair. I left the man very upset and went to the manager who said the man is fixing the problem. Instead of fixing the problems while I waited on him, I noticed the man started putting furniture together for other customers and told me I had to wait. Are you kidding me!
I went back to the manager and she was not accommodating at all. Because she had this "nonchalant" attitude, it made me even more pissed. Therefore, I put on a gorgeous smile and told her to get the papers ready. She asked what papers. I said my refund. HUH, WHAT... but WAIT! Nope! Two weeks wait my ass... I had them to put my refund on my debit card. I had my money back by that Monday morning.

The Faux Leather sectional that I purchased a year ago April 22, 2014 is cracking. I called them literally a day before my warranty was to run out. I have a technician coming out to assess the furniture, and bring 1 cushion instead of 3? They said they were going to mail the cushion to me, but sent them to the wrong address, which delayed the process into the warranty's end. I stated that I felt that the amount of cracking the couch was doing was a sure sign that within the next year it would be in even worse shape! And that I felt that an exchange to something within the price range, but was not Faux Leather would be best! The Marble top coffee table that I purchased with the set has had incidences of the screws falling out! I paid two thousand dollars for the furniture. I asked to speak with the manufacturer, and found out that it is a Ashley made product, and was told to speak with them, as if the store was separate from its own company!
After calling them, I was then referred back to the store! I was advised that if the person who comes out and looks at the couch feels like replacing the cushion covers is enough, I then have no other options! If this couch is deteriorating at this rate in less than a year, I will have to replace these cushions each year at cost to me. And when I asked how much that would be, I was put on hold and he said another sales person suggested that I buy more than one set, in case they stop making the couch. I am still paying for this couch on my credit card, so I would actually still be making payments on a couch that I am having to buy parts for!!! Since they are the maker, I don't understand why they would not allow me to exchange it for something of equal value that does not contain the material they used to produce the defective couch!
I am on disability and this was/is a major purchase for me, and I intended for it to last! At the rate that this material is cracking, I will have to throw it away in the next 2 years! I am furious at the quality of their products. I had been a loyal Slumberland customer, and this is my first experience with Ashley Furniture, but it will my last!!!
Updated on 05/17/2015: The technician came out as scheduled without the cushion covers, and had no idea what he was at my home for, he said the obvious cracks were pokes (lie!) but agreed that all 3 cushions were unusually hard and needed replacement. I called them and was told it would take 5 to 7 days to hear back from their own inspector, and they wanted to send just one cover! I said "No I would rather get this over with all at once!" Which is how I found out it would take them 5 to 7 days to hear from themselves!!! I am furious! The tech said the couch is not good with sweat, body oils etc. So I said "Then that means it's not made for humans" and he agreed and LAUGHED!!! I have just been RAPED of nearly 2 thousand dollars as they Laugh, and refuse to replace the entire couch for a different one. I was in warranty when this started, but it doesn't matter to this Company!!!

Ashley Furniture is by far the WORST place to buy furniture. My husband and I went to buy a complete bedroom set for our master bedroom and a TV stand for the game room on 3/26/2015. Here is the HELL we are currently experiencing: The Sales Representative ** in the Katy store did not complete our order correctly after spending 4 hours in the store, patiently waiting to complete our order. We wanted 2 full size mattresses to make a California king. She ordered 2 California king mattress without a base. After 2 weeks of waiting for our merchandise, she called and said we needed to pay a difference of $795.00 to obtain the 2 mattress we wanted. An additional two weeks later, we received the bedroom chest and bed frame ONLY.
The following week and a half we received 2 night stands ONLY. One week later we received a California king mattress with no base. The California mattress was returned, since this was not what we ordered. Five days later we received the 2 night lights and the base without the 2 mattress ONLY. On average, we received 3 calls with an email and text per week to reschedule their delivery time. It’s been 7 weeks of PURE DRAMA with Ashley Furniture. Here is an example: They were scheduled to deliver 2 mattresses on April 30th between 10:00am - 1:00pm. At 1:28pm a representative called and said the driver is on his way and is running late, so he will be at our house between 3:00pm - 5:00pm. At 6:35pm we called since no one came to the house. We were told that the 2 mattresses and TV stand are in BACK-ORDER and will not be delivered until May 23rd. NOTE: Today is May 6th, 2015.
We were informed 14 days after our first delivery that we CANNOT return the furniture. For the past 7 weeks we do not have a mattress to sleep and yet we are receiving bills for payments. We have not received any compensation or courtesy call to help resolve this issue. If you are considering to buy ANY furniture from ASHLEY furniture, PLEASE do yourself the favor and go somewhere else!! We bought a sofa from Ashley's in Roanoke, VA on April 4, 2015. We were not sure we really wanted it, but felt some pressure from the staff to make the purchase. So we applied for the store's no credit check financing and bought the sofa. After we got home we reconsidered our purchase and on April 15 decided to call and cancel the order. My husband called and was told that they would have to speak to the manager about the restocking fee. We spoke to the manager the next day who informed us that we would have to pay the fee because the sofa was already on the way to the store. So we discussed it some more and decided we didn't want to lose the money and called back on April 18 and told them we would keep the sofa.
My husband spoke to the salesperson who sold us the sofa and she stated that she was glad we decided to keep it because we were so close to getting it. On April 22 we called back to the store. We were told that the sofa was not there, but was on its way and would be in the store on April 27 or 28. On April 25 my husband stopped at the store and was told that they would receive the sofa Monday or Tuesday and would call to set up delivery. So we waited. No calls. On May 2 we called back to see where our sofa was now and to cancel the order if it was not on the way. We were told that if we cancelled that we would have to pay the 20% restocking fee plus 40.00 for the financing. Financing for what??? We told them that it wasn't fair to charge us these fees when it was their fault that we hadn't received the merchandise.(WE MADE THE FATAL MISTAKE OF PAYING 139.00 FOR DELIVERY AND 161.00 INITIAL PAYMENTS UP FRONT!)
We also told them that we had our first payment due on May 1 and had not received the sofa yet. The manager very rudely said, “Did I call you for a payment?" We replied no, but our contract stated that the first payment was due May 1. He then repeated the above question very in a sarcastic tone. He then stated that the furniture had been at the store for a month and that they had been trying to call me to have it delivered. Oh no they didn't and I told him that. So he then said "Oh we tried to call your husband since his number is first on the contract." Oh no they didn't. We have phone records to prove it. In the end Ashley's ripped us off for 200.00. I was considering a queen size Tempur-Pedic bed, that was roughly $3000. I do not make decisions like this impulsively, so I held off and decided to buy just 1 queen size Tempur-Pedic pillow and Dri-Tec pillow protector, a purchase that totaled $233. Little did I know that pillow/pillow protectors purchases are final. The second I swiped my card and they handed my receipt: Poof! No return.
I went home that night excited to try out my new pillow for longer than the 5 minutes of awkwardly lying on a bed with a salesperson watching you. After about 10-15 minutes of tossing and turning I came to the conclusion, "This pillow sucks!" So I threw it on the floor and went to bed with my old pillows. The next time I could come in would have been that Friday or Saturday (today). This is when I learned that pillow sales are final. They don't tell you any time before/during the sale that it is final. It is only written on the receipt (not prominently), which, of course, they only hand you AFTER the purchase is made. What a load of BS. Well, Ashley, I'll be keeping this $233 crap pillow, but I won't be buying the $3000 bed. Thanks!

Anyway we purchased a "set" that included a 6 chairs, dining table, plate mats, 2 dishes sets of 4, and a rug. We have received everything but the rug. We called. They kept telling us the rug was being back ordered. a month later we went back to exchange it for another one. They told us 2-3 weeks. It’s been over a month again and nothing. I called. They gave me a tracking number and it says it got delivered on March 17. Called customer service back. Got told that was the tracking number for the first rug we purchased on Feb. and that they don't have any information on the new one we purchased on April 1st.
How can they not have any information!? I asked if we can get a refund. They said no because we got the "package". We were never told we couldn't get a refund! So I asked them if we can just pick one from the store. They said no they don't sell merchandise from the floor. So I asked what I can do. Got told the manager was going to give me call. Still waiting for that call! This is horrible. No refund. No exchange. FYI the day they came to install our dining table the guys left those huge staples sticking out and a stabbed my leg with one. Luckily it was me and not my kids. Overall I'm very disappointed. I just want my rug.

Is there any recourse for the disastrous Durablend Ashley Sofa? Our couch started peeling after the warranty expired. After speaking with the company that sold it to us, they suggested since it was out of warranty that we reupholster it. I spoke with an upholstering company and when I told them it was an Ashley sofa, he said he would not bother to re-cover it because they are so cheaply made. We would be better to start over and purchase a better brand, rather than spend $800-$1000 to cover the one we have. This from someone who stood to make some money from our business. Imagine that, a company that was honest.
Unlike the Ashley furniture company who sold a product that was called "Durablend", yet don't really have any plans to help out customers that got stuck with a really poor product. Durablend, really? I don't suppose there is anyone out there that created this terrible material willing to take credit for this disaster. We would be happy just getting reimbursed half of what we paid so that we can start over. It is really just going to end up being trash in the landfield. $750.00 down the toilet.

Not sure how long I have had them, not very long but more than a year. So no warranty. One day, I noticed that areas of the textured vinyl covering (black leather look) that is glued/sealed to the cloth seating fabric is peeling. Large vinyl flakes are coming off!!! It happened to all the seating furniture at the same time! Seems like poor choice of fabric material. I am very disappointed with Ashley selecting that fabric!!! Sofa and chair look like they have a disease now!!!

I purchased a Stearns and Foster Mattress in 2012. The mattress was $2179. I thought that the quality of the bed would be better, since it was a more expensive mattress. Within a year, one side of the bed was collapsed. I let two years pass and the side of the bed got worse. I was purchasing another Stearns and Foster and told the salesperson about my existing Stearns & Foster mattress. She explained that they had a problem in 2012 with the sides of their mattresses collapsing and that I should file a warranty claim with them.
So I did. I just found out this week, that my claim was denied because there is a stain on the mattress and that voids the warranty. A 25 year warranty is voided for a stain on the mattress!!! I spill a drink in bed one night and poof, the warranty is voided. Regardless of a known problem with the construction of the mattress.
Beware, Sealy, the owner of Stearns & Foster. Sealy, iComfort and Tempurpedic, will void your warranty if the mattress is stained!!! Ashley Furniture stated that they would be able to help me out if I bought an Ashley Product but they cannot help me with a non-Ashley product. AMAZING. Please know that if you buy a mattress and spill something on it, that night, your warranty is voided, regardless of the workmanship.

They took me through hell. I had asked for my refund of the warranty and I'm still waiting for it. First I had to fill out some forms and they wanted me to send the original receipt of purchase including the receipt for the warranty. Not happening. I've sent several email with pictures, and copies of the documents. They claim they never received it.
I called to find out what was the hold up and that's when they said I never sent them. Then it was they received the email but no documents. I asked for a physical address and still nothing. Not only do the couch needs cleaning, when you sit on the couch it feels as if you're sinking. We bought this crap in 2013 and I request an cleaning in June 2014. My warranty that we paid for is good for 5 years. They have yet to refund our money. If anyone is considering buying new furniture, DO NOT GET IT FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE, go elsewhere. I had placed an order for a reclining sofa and loveseat in March 2015. I was told it was in stock and would take a couple of weeks to be delivered. Of course once the paperwork was signed and my credit card swiped they then tell me it's on back order and will take till April 29th. They called me April 20 to say it will not be available till May 12th! And the sales person who called said they doubt it will then and that they are sure they will call again to reschedule. They doubt it will come by memorial day and maybe not till mid June.
I told them that I was deceived and lied to and told it would take two weeks then once they swiped my card it changed to over a month and now three weeks longer and they doubt it will come by mid June. I told them I felt it was unacceptable and that I should be compensated for my inconvenience and being lied to. They refused and said I could cancel my order But they would keep almost $400 of the $1385 I paid for the furniture. They also then told me even though I paid with my visa that it would take 30-45 days to get a refund check in the mail.
Had I of known this I would have gone down the street, paid the same amount and had my furniture in 4 days. Big Mistake on my part! I should of read the reviews first. They seem to be most helpful till they get your card swiped then the BS begins. Who orders furniture that not special order to wait two months to get it and then they are not sure it will come then. I am worried now what shape it will come in and if I refuse it how long to get replaced. Everyone's reviews thus far made it clear they will not fix it or replace it once it's delivered. I am considering canceling it and cutting my losses to go back where I normally get my furniture from.
Sad thing is that a store right behind them carries their furniture and they have the exact same that I ordered and could order today and have it tomorrow, but Ashley says they can't ship it cause they cannot make it yet due to back up. This was my first time with Ashley and is my LAST!! Buyer Beware, Please save yourself and your money. DO NOT BUY FURNITURE HERE!! NO MATTER HOW GREAT THE PRICE MAY SEEM! I called and emailed a number of times and no one has ever gotten back to me. When the salesperson called I explained to him how I cannot buy again from Ashley Furniture until someone calls me back. I had actually hoped to get a call today from a manager at least to find out what happened. Nothing. No call. Which was more expenses than the last one which I thought was leather but was not. I paid extra money for another sofa set... Here two years later the arm on the sofa started cracking. They have some very cheap furniture that does not last no longer than two years the most. Then they ask you "Do you want to purchase another another sofa set. This one is going to be more expensive and should last you probably 5 years." So what type of game are they're running over there?
I do not have money to keep purchasing furniture every 2 to 3 years. I advise all my friends and family and clients do not purchase no more furniture from Ashley. They're nothing but a bunch of rip offs. If you want real furniture that's going to last longer than 2 to 3 years I advise you to shop somewhere else... much love.

We purchased a Power Reclining Sofa from Ashley in Feb. 2015. It was delivered two weeks later. About a week or two later we noticed that when you open or close the recliner on the right side it would make a clunking noise and it wouldn't shut the whole way. Called store, and after several attempts to reach someone, they said they would have the distributing company contact me. They did and they said it was a bad motor and they would put it an order for a new one to be shipped. Once delivered we were call them back for a tech to come out. She never told me how long it would take.
Two weeks later I called and they said it takes 2-4 weeks to ship from factory. She contacted the factory and they say it will be shipped the week of May 4th which is actually 6 weeks from when I called initially. I have an idea she never set up the order. So we are waiting for... My question is if an item is faulty from basically the beginning shouldn't Ashley just have replaced the sofa instead of fixing a broken item. I understand if it had been months or more but less than two weeks seems to me to be a BAD ITEM. At this point I have no idea whether it is going to get fixed or not.

I do not, under any circumstances, recommend this Ashley Furniture store and I would like to share my experiences as to why. I went there on Saturday March 14th 2015 to purchase some furniture for my newly finished basement. When I found the set I would like to purchase (1 sleeper sofa, 1 ottoman, 1 chair, and 2 end tables), I had to hunt down a salesperson to actually help me. I found a clump of them lingering around the front of the store. They seemed to be apprehensive of helping. So I approached a woman and stated what I'd like to purchase.
After getting everything in order (approximately a 30 minute ordeal), I was told my order could not be delivered until Saturday April 18th. At that point, I asked why they could not have told me that before making me wait a half hour and that I would take my business elsewhere. A manager overheard and offered another 10% off. I took the deal under the auspices that it would in fact be delivered on the 18th to which everyone agreed would be no problem. I left the store not happy, but content with my purchase.
Fast forward to Wednesday April 15th. I received a robocall confirming that my order would be delivered between 12 and 4 on Saturday April 18th. I was pleasantly surprised and made arrangements to ensure I would be home that day. Later this evening, I received a voicemail while I was out that my order was delayed and could not be delivered until Tuesday April 28th. As this was unacceptable I drove to the store to get a refund. Upon entering the store and explaining to the manager that I wanted a refund, it took them, well, over 20 minutes to even find my order. After looking it up and doing what they could to find an earlier ship date, they explained to me that there was some shipping port in California that has their shipping containers and the people were on strike which delayed my order.
They offered me a $200 gift card to keep the sale which I politely declined. (Why would I want to spend more money at a store that cannot deliver their items on time?) Had they offered me $200 off my purchase I would have accepted. But see, that's the rub. Nothing they sell in that store is $200, so the gift card offer was basically an invitation for me to spend even more money at this establishment. I received a refund to my credit card (which by the way I had already paid in full, which means I will need a refund check cut to me from my credit card company), and left. The funny thing is about my entire ordeal is at no time did any employee apologize for the inconvenience. Had they just said the words they were sorry, I more than likely would have kept my order and accepted a later delivery. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing furniture at this store to go somewhere else.

My wife and I ordered >$3,500 of furniture from Ashley Furniture in Bowling Green, KY on 02/12/15. We still don't have it. Out of 3 recliners, 1 loveseat/sofa combination, and 1 table; we received the table and a poor quality loveseat/sofa on schedule (5+ weeks after placing the order). Since that time they have come back out and delivered 1 of 2 matching recliners. We have still never seen 2 recliners and the promised new loveseat/sofa (replacement for the defective unit). Multiple deliveries have been scheduled and then cancelled at the last minute with excuses like "your furniture never arrived in our distribution center" and the best of all "your furniture got here but it was mislabeled and really isn't your furniture".
When I've contacted Ashley Corporate their response is the Bowling Green, KY store is independently owned so they can't do anything. When I've contacted (many times) the store itself the salesperson seems very concerned but NOTHING ever happens. Right now we've been told we can expect delivery on 04/23/15 but who knows; they cancelled the scheduled deliveries of 04/09/15 & 04/16/15. We have no confidence at all that we're ever going to receive anything or that anything we do receive will be in satisfactory condition. It's like a lottery you pay for ticket (furniture) and then sit around hoping you win (something - anything gets delivered). Promised Delivery Dates seem to really be just "Delivery Possibilities/Guesses". I don't understand how they can look themselves in the mirror each day.

Ugh. My fiancee bought this furniture right before we met 3 years ago. We have had Guardsman out numerous times, one time they approved a request and fixed a broken (shattered) dresser drawer. Gee, thanks. Never mind the missing finish from the coffee table, end tables, peeling couch, beat up bed frame. Who cares that thousands of dollars were spent after they completely DUPED my fiancee into believing their furniture was high quality. In the beginning, he told me how "high end" their furniture was compared to the cheaper places, how they had shown him comparisons. Oh, that's great. Because after moving the coffee table to vacuum the rug, the leg splintered.
But since we had just been denied by Guardsman YET AGAIN, do you know what we did???? We threw our 3 year old coffee table in the GARBAGE, because we didn't have the energy to fight for our COVERAGE once again... We had to purchase new coffee and end tables, the end tables that they wouldn't even try to repair look so bad we put them in the basement. Now, let's talk about our "leather" couches... The arm of our couch is peeling so badly, so we thought for sure that would be covered, right? WRONG! The technician laughed at us, and said that it is bad product quality that is to blame, and there was nothing they could do.
Oh, okay, what about the love seat that came with a giant unraveled thread? NOPE. No one ever fixed that either, even though we attempted to have Guardsman fix it, then called Ashley and spoke to numerous people when we first noticed it. The love seat was about 3 months old then. But since no one even bothered to call back and attempt to express concern for our investment, here it sits with that same thread unraveled. A couple weeks ago, we called Ashley Furniture and my fiancee spoke with a manager, who had to "put a call out" and call us back because he "totally understood" our frustration. Hmm, how did that go you ask? I guess not well, since he didn't even pretend to care and at least return a courtesy phone call. Nope, nothing.
So, I will be posting this on NUMEROUS other sites as well, because I would not wish this on anyone. ANYONE. It is so embarrassing to have people in our home, sitting on our expensive couches, looking like we picked them up at a Goodwill. We probably should have, they might have held up better. Thank you Ashley Furniture, for your dedication to uphold the standards of your name and the products you sell. Oh wait, no, you could care less about the hard working people you sell your garbage to. Let me go work some more so I can replace our new furniture with some more new furniture.

Now that I'm on here I see this is a recurring issue for Ashley. On 3/29 I ordered an "Ashley" mattress and motorized base for $3,000. They set the delivery date to 4/10 and on 4/8 confirmed that delivery would be 4/10 between 12:30 and 4:30. On 4/10 they call me to inform me that I need to confirm my delivery date for 4/14. Now I gave my bed away this morning expecting the new one, I took today off of work and can't take any more the rest of the month but here's the kicker. When I called the store they told me they'd see if another customer ordered the same bed and they'd see if they could grab one. So basically, there's a very good chance that another "angry" customer yelled loud yesterday and got my mattress.
To make matters worse, they won't try and replace the order with another mattress that is in stock even if I had to pay more and they're offering me $100 gift certificates or waiving the delivery fee. That's simply insulting. Kudos to Ashley for perfecting the "Just In Time" inventory control system, crappy for us the consumers because one burp in their system and you become less important to them than a couple of days of interest they would have paid to have a couple mattresses on hand.
I've always bought locally through small stores and this time I am regretting not doing that big time. At least a small local store would give more than 4 hours notice that your goods aren't being delivered and would bend over backwards to make it right. The last time something like this happened locally they cut $500 off the order and gave me a free 10 year warranty and repair plan. Buy local, Ashley is obviously too big to care.

Will see. Certainly no one contacted gave a hint of customer support.

They reported my account on all 3 credit reports as being more than 30 days due on one or more accounts. I am the primary account holder, my husband was managing this account. When I called to inquire about the report they stated they did not have a number on file, therefore could not alert me of a past due balance. This is poor customer service.

My furniture is falling apart. It is just me and my husband here. Customer service is a nightmare. Had this furniture a year and 5 months so now it is out of warranty. The communication with this company is horrible. Update:3/27/15 Corporate called me and said it is normal wear and tear. Are you kidding me? No way. It is just me and my husband here. No kids, no visitors, nothing. Still no phone call from corp. Manager. I did get ahold of the Springdale manager who was a nice man and tried moving the issue up. I can't believe they would not send a tech out to even look at this prior to my blood pressure going up. I'm honestly done buying anything. I'll throw bean bags in the floor!!! I'm soo done. :( I love this furniture I really do but this is so not right. Their quality is an awful.
4/02/15 - I Talked to the Corp Manager named **. He kept referring to the manufacturer saying that it is normal wear and tear. If you had told me that one year and 5 months later my furniture would start separating to where you can see the white of the furniture I would have walked out and never made that purchase. He is sending a tech out and everything is always 6 weeks, out for an answer. Now another 6 weeks out after the tech comes out. I have made my last purchase with anything.
It is exhausting that as a consumer a product can't last over a year. It is wrong. I am sure I will get nowhere with this situation because no one wants to own up to their crappy products. The manager at the Springdale location is a very very nice man. His hands are tied but he seems like a very good man. The corp. manager said he was the highest I could go. However, unless he is the owner or CEO I am thinking he is wrong, hmmmm.
If you haven't had issues with Ashley's products then that's great. However, if you ever do you will grow cobwebs before anyone addresses it. Products do not seem to last over a year. There needs to be a law forcing these companies to carry a 2 year warranty on their products. It is really sad! Consumers beware! If I hear 6 weeks out one more time I am going to lose it! NEVER AGAIN! First time buying from there and last. From now on I will go to Hanks!

We were in the Decatur Ave store in Las Vegas NV. We liked a sofa, but were unsure if it was what we wanted. We were told that there was a sale at 35% off one item and to hold that price, we should put down $150. We asked if we could get the money back if we changed our minds, and were told by two salespeople that yes, we could just call and cancel the sale.
When I called on Tuesday, March 31, I was told that "LAYAWAYS" are non-refundable. I was unaware that we did a layaway -- I thought we were putting money down on the item. We were told, "Check your paperwork." We were given a piece of paper -- I was told it was a receipt for the $150. Now I am told it was their layaway policy and I have no recourse except to dispute this with my bank. I will never do business with Ashley Furniture again. The salespeople are all really young and most of them are totally clueless. I had to call the store 3 times and let the phone ring 40+ times. The first two times, no one ever answered and after letting it ring and ring, someone finally answered on the 3rd try.

Went to Ashley Furniture to buy a kitchen table and 4 chairs. Had to wait 3 weeks for it to make it to the warehouse. The table was damaged had a crack in it. The chair leg was chipped and they still try to give it to me. Ask for a supervisor or manager, waited for an hour and 20 minutes and still no manager or supervisor. So I gave the table and chairs back and went to the original store red purchased it to get a refund and they told me that they couldn't give me a cash refund even though I paid in cash. They said that I have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for a check to come in the mail. Needless to say I will not be shopping at Ashley Furniture no more and would advise anyone else to stay away. Their customer service sucks - was not very helpful at all. I'm very disappointed.

The furniture they sells is junk. I bought a recliner couch and love seat recliner over 2,000 dollars 3 years ago and the cover started to come off. Went to store. They said it had 5 years warranty on the material. They will furnish the material if I pay to recover. That don't sound fair to me. It look like they should recover it too. I had purchased a table and 4 chairs from Ashley Furniture. I had spent over $1000. The table came cracked. The chairs were chipped. They couldn't find all of them and all the boxes were already torn open. There was no supervisor or manager to talk to. No one would help load the stuff in the back of the truck so we had asked for a refund. They told us to go back to the store that we had purchased it from. The store says that they can't give us a refund in cash. That they have to mail us a check yet we paying cash. I would advise no one to shop at Ashley Furniture. Your product will not be satisfactory and their service is horrible.

I was sold a warranty that would cover if the sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman fell apart or ripped or even if the cats tore the fabric. 4 years ago. Well, yesterday I found 2 seams that have come apart on the seat cushions, all at the same place on each cushion. Looks like the thread came out or the fabric is unraveling at the seam. This should be covered, right? NOT! Not covered by the warranty... I paid an extra $130 for 5 years of no worries and the insurance said this is not covered and neither is cat damage. This is insane $3000 for furniture that doesn't even stay together for four years. Now I understand why Ashleys never sent me a copy of the warranty. And why they did not have one on hand that day I bought the furniture and the bogus warranty.

We purchased DuraBlend couches from Ashley Furniture 9/3/11 in Boca Raton, FL for $899.95 which started flake and come apart at the 1 year mark. Having the 3 year in Home Service they came over only to say it was "normal wear and tear". Not true.

We ordered a couch and loveseat from Ashley Furniture. They told us we would receive both pieces on Feb 7th 2015. January 22nd we went in to ask for our money back because we wanted to get furniture sooner because we had fold-out chairs and a futon to sit on and my husband is on disability due to back and leg problems. We were treated very rudely by their employees. They told us then that they had an "all sales are final" policy that wasn't mentioned at the time of sale. They also told us that we had signed a contract with them and that the furniture was being made especially for us. Later we called their customer hotline and was told the same thing and that our furniture was being delivered on two separate dates. We called because our loveseat piece had not yet arrived. They told us that it was on back order and that it would arrive by March 21st!
We've had the couch since February 7th and the right arm is sinking in badly. The material on the seat cushion has moved where it doesn't line up with the edge of the foam and the back pillows are sadly in need of more stuffing. Not to mention the seat at the right end of the couch is sinking in due to weak springs. This has been the worst experience we've ever had. In no way is this couch like the one we sat on in their showroom.

December 28th 2014 my husband and me went to the Plymouth meeting store and looked through the stock. We found a three seater and love seat we liked so we spoke with the sales person and ordered it. We got the insurance to cover it just in case as we are expecting our first child so wanted something of good quality. It took 4-5 weeks to come. We have it now 6 weeks and noticed within the last three weeks the lacquer that they put on it is coming off and exposing the leather that they dye before they lacquer it. All this has happened on the back padding where your lover back would rest, this is on the love seat as this is where we sit.
I called the store on March 16th and told them of the issue. They gave me a reference and the website to send pictures. I finally got around to it on Friday the 20th. I did not hear back till Friday the 27th and the lady came on the phone with, "Hello you have the furniture now a few months. We looked at the pictures. It is chemical burn so we are not liable." This was the whole conversation. No questions, no nothing, just you done it tough.
I would never put a chemical on my brand new leather seat and further more continue to put it on. This is the laziest explanation and simple stupidity at its best. No one would do this. I have had plenty of leather in my life time. Never have I seen anything like this. I asked for a supervisor who is equally unqualified in the act of customer care and they were admitting you can't do anything. I pointed out the contract, their store warranty, and my insurance. All say dye transfer is covered. My insurance covers leather peeling and cracking.
They clearly don't stand by their product seeing as we have it 6 weeks there has to be some kind of return policy as I refuse to believe this is the first time it has happened. Bad quality, bad customer service, and plain robbers who sell bad furniture and then see how to avoid the consequences. It is a joke. My husband and I spent $6000 in the last year and this is the way they treat you. Don't buy from this company. They are not a good company and once you pay they tell you they are not liable. The mistake I made was buying from them. All we done was sit on our seats and this happened. No chemical was ever put on it. We didn't have it long enough to have to clean it.

Bought the sofa/loveseat and the 5 year warranty 4 years ago and needed to get repairs on the cushion around a year after owning it. Then needed the arm repaired for cracking and peeling 2 years after owning it. Now 4 years later and after replacing 4 cracking/peeling cushions there are now three peeling areas on sofa and Ashley won't uphold my warranty for "accumulation" issues. They state since there are multiple issues with the sofa that the warranty isn't applicable, that it is the owner's fault. Ridiculous! Crest is the company that enforces the warranty for Ashley and their staff have been horrible. One delivery man asked for a beer, another time, after waiting 3 weeks for my couch to be repaired and delivered, the wrong couch was delivered to me instead and I had to wait for my correct couch to be delivered again then afterwards.
Don't ever buy bonded leather! I should have never listened to the salesman at Ashley who stated the bonded leather was "more durable than leather". The manager at the Cherry Hill, NJ store was extremely unhelpful and unapologetic regarding this situation and stated the warranty company has the power to deny the warranty and there was nothing I or he could do. I will never shop there again!

I purchased a sofa, love seat and two ottomans on March 14, 2014. I was told to call in a few days for delivery date. I called the number on my receipt for delivery on March 17th and was disconnected two times. I finally called the store and was told it would be delivered the last week of March. But not given a exact date. I was told they would call me with this information. On March 26, I had not received a call so I called again the number clearly listed on my receipt for delivery. No one answered. It rang and rang. So, I again called the store. I inquired about why I couldn't reach anyone about delivery and was told I must have an extension number to reach anyone. It doesn't not list any extensions on my receipt nor does it say that when you call the delivery number. Then I was told my order was on delay or back order. No one bothered to call me regarding this matter. I was told they make the furniture to order. Really??
I received information from this call that it was due to come in April 4th and that was not in my area. It is about an hour from my home. I was told I would receive a call on this date regarding when my furniture would be delivered. I also asked to speak with a manager and was told to call back in two days. Then asked to speak with assistant manager and was told he was too busy with other people. No offer to be called back. It remains to be seen if I will see my furniture any time soon.
