Spent 1200.00 on a loveseat that was so flimsy it broke in the first week. We also had extended warranty. When they delivered it they ran over a metal trash can without saying anything. That night our detached garage was broken into and property stolen. Many phone calls for the broken product were never returned. Never in my life have I ever seen such a piss poor company. Our dogs have seen plumbers, electricians, handyman, HVAC, internet techs etc. Never had they reacted to the scum that brought the product out. Good judges of character. They sent a repair person out to reglue the broken apart particle board, staple and put two braces in stripping out threads. It broke as soon as he said we could use it.
Many calls and months later they picked up the trash and kept it for two months then lost it. We were finally refunded a partial amount months later and after many hours of calls. I want to go when they are having a big sale and tell the customers they are worst than the baddest used car salesman ever to live. Burn in hell scumbags. Hope they come back to break into the garage again, the alarm will wake me this time.

We purchased Ashley's lenoris collection of premium leather furniture. Within 6 months the "new" support system for the cushions {nylon webbing that replaced the traditional metal springs} began to collapse and sag making the seating extremely uncomfortable and worn-looking. Upon contacting Ashley several times, they said all they could do was replace the foam in the cushions, which they did but that didn't address the problem at all which basically is poor design in an attempt to manufacture it cheaper overseas without metal springs.
Still to date they haven't fixed the problem, because truth is they can't fix the problem. They could however replace it, but are unwilling to do so. I only wish their employees sitting behind their desk making these decisions not to stand behind their product had to sit in this furniture that they deceive the public with. That, I believe, would solve problems like this as they all would surely quit and take a more comfortable job like running a jack hammer!! I solemnly pledge never to buy their products again.

Worse furniture store. Wouldn't recommend ever to go to the store at all. We bought a sofa from Ashley and its leather just started coming off within 10 months. They said it was blended leather sofa and it may come off but nobody listen to us and didn't care about our complaint at all. Seemed like nobody cared for it. Also at the time of delivery they charged us more than it was said. And then finally when I went to look around in the store, when the representative asked me the reason I was there for, I told him that I was just there to look around and I'm not going to buy anything from the store because of my bad experience. The stupid person Dany told me that if I'm not going to buy anything I should not be wasting their time!

After purchasing DuraBlend furniture, the pieces started peeling. I went to the store and was told the furniture was defective and to contact customer service. I did and the claim was denied. I then made a claim with consumer affairs, which was also denied. Apparently Ashley Furniture is not taking any responsibility for selling defective furniture!

My daughter purchased a new bed and frame on May 20, 2016 to be delivered July 2, 2016. She just graduated college and is moving from Missouri to Wisconsin. The bed was delivered, but the store had not ordered all the parts so they were unable to put it together. She was then told they would have to reschedule and they would only be able to return Monday - Friday 8-5. She is starting a new job in a new state and doesn't know anyone and works Monday - Friday 8-5.
The "store manager" called back at our request and apologized and said they would expedite ordering the parts. They have had 7 weeks to get this done. He assured we could get a Saturday delivery. Customer service called back again to reschedule and we were advised Saturday was not available and we had not been informed it was so they would have to call back again. Very disappointed in the experience and the manner in which it was handled. Will not be using Ashley Furniture again. Plans were to purchase living room furniture and accessories, but will be going elsewhere.

I ordered my daughter's furniture from Ashley's in Anderson SC on Memorial Day weekend in May. The first delivery date was set in two weeks. The first delivery the wrong color couch was sent so I didn't sign and sent it back. The second delivery sent the same wrong color couch. After calling customer service and receiving a personal assurance from the VP of operations the SKU number was personally verified, we should expect a third delivery. They cancelled the third delivery. So now I wait for a fourth delivery scheduled after Independence Day. It's been a full 6 weeks and no resolution yet. I don't recommend unless you are unemployed because I don't know any supervisors who will believe you need 4 days off from work to receive the same sofa!

Purchased a sectional sofa, couch and loveseat about two years ago. Had issues with couch and loveseat sounding like something creaking or cracking every time it was sat on. Sent someone out and they insisted that nothing was wrong. Still makes noise until this day. Sectional has a lot of use at one end or the other, which is a chaise. The chaise end always slips off the end no matter how you sit on it and won't stay tucked under the back pillow. The end seat is so distorted and worn it is hard to get out of.
Purchased the warranty on the furniture and now that I sent pictures and complained to the service dept. I am told that they find no issues and there is nothing to do about it. I have purchased furniture from Boscov's in the past and had it for many years with not so much as any wear to the covering or issues at all. Actually gave the furniture away to buy this crap from Ashley. I will try and get rid of this horrible furniture and go buy a better quality somewhere else.

Never buy anything here. What they send to your house is not what you sit on in showroom. It does not have the support that the one on the showroom does. The back sinks in badly. Plus they tell you if you are not happy, you can pay 10% re stocking fee. They mislead you on this. What they do not say is. This is only after you order it. There is no returns and they never say anything about that. But it is on the contract on the back in small print. This is the second time I have bought something from them, I have not been happy either time. So buyer beware of this place. Again what they send you is not what you sit on there. I paid 400 dollars a chair to get trailer furniture. Way poor quality. Also the fumes from them is terrible, I do not know what it is on them. It made my skin turn pink and itch.

My daughter purchased a bedroom suit from the store in Somerset Kentucky. We were told that delivery would be a maximum of 3 weeks. Today make 6 weeks and we still do not have the mattress to go with the set. My daughter has slept on the couch for the last 3 weeks and we still cannot get a straight answer on when the mattress will be delivered. Also the mirror to the dresser was broken when it was delivered and had to be reordered. I have no idea when I will get it. The delivery man were very unpersonable and just acted like they did not want to be here, although they did set the bed up which I do appreciate. I was told I would receive a call today but the day is almost over and I have not heard a word. I am very annoyed. Payment for this furniture was made in full upon purchase and I still do not have the full set. I definitely will not do business of any kind with this furniture store again in the future.

I purchased a leather set from this store. I bought the couch first and paid it off in 3 months. I purchased the chair and ottoman but the delivery was 140.00. I picked the chair and ottoman up from store. The guy laid the chair on its side instead of flat. So the chair flew out the truck into the middle of highway. I called the police... they came and helped me get the chair by stopping traffic. I received a ticket for 95.00... 180.00 if I went to court. I called Ashley about the situation. They told me basically since I signed the form for picking up merchandise the cost of repair is on me. I was very upset! I asked if I could just pay for the repairs. The chair cost 1000.00 and they told me it would cost a minimum of 500.00. So they had to send it to the review dept. They called me back and said "we can't repair that."

I call and it says that I never even had a delivery date or time, when Ronnie, the manager at the Tukwila store, has promised me twice that it is coming. He has also promised me that the two items I returned were credited to my account and they were not. Do not trust these people. They lie constantly to get your business and then don't follow through. I bought furniture from them a year ago and went through this and gave them the benefit of the doubt, my mistake. Even the managers by. Be very very careful.

Highly disappointed with the quality of the Ashley furniture. I also don't recommend buying the protection plan that they offer as it is no good and they will read the protection plan and say it is not covered. I bought leather recliner sofa and the love seat and in 1 one year it started showing rips all along the joints, and the warranty services says that those are not rips, but cracks!!! Cracks are not on the part where the body touches and that is the only part which is top grain leather, but the sides where the body doesn't touch is just Vinyl. He educates me that the Vinyl will show up peels and cracks over a period of time naturally and it is not covered in the protection plan! But it wouldn't make sense that you buy something from Ashley spending a bomb and it starts to fade/rip in 1 year!!!
I had Value City furniture before I bought from Ashley. When I had these kind of rips on their sofa, at least their warranty covered for it and gave us FULL store credit. But, the next one I chose Ashley, for it's brand value I didn't mind spending more money. But their quality turned out ever poor! I would never recommend Ashley to anyone, nor their protection plan that they offer!!!

Bad experience, I was delivered a damaged item. I refused to sign for the item due to the damage. After 3 weeks of waiting for a NEW item they deliver the exact same damaged item. As I was not home someone else signed for the item. When I came back I figured it was the exact same item. When I called customer service they insist it was a different one although I was sure it was the same. The people on customer service line very unhelpful, and the only thing they offered is someone to paint the damaged area. You pay for new item, they deliver a damaged one and they send someone to paint it to cover the damage. My rating is 0/5.

I purchased a large home entertainment center from the Ashley Furniture store in Fayetteville, NC. The piece I bought was large, with two pillars, a credenza, and a bridge. I purchased it from the catalog located in the store because they didn't have anything on display that I was interested in. When it was delivered, I noticed that the corners were damaged and repaired, poorly if I might add. I called customer service and was told that they have to send a craftsman to refurbish the furniture. I said "No, I purchased a new piece of furniture and I want a new one, not one that was used." I spend four days calling different managers, getting transferred from one place to another and I have basically gone nowhere. On top of that they said I can pay a 10% restocking fee to return the damaged piece of furniture they delivered me. Terrible customer service, total rip off, don't waste your time or money with this company. It will bring you nothing but stress.

My friends live in FL and purchased a house in NC. I frequently meet service people at the house for them. They purchased a king size bed and I was at the house when the beds were delivered. First thing they did wrong was they delivered the correct mattress, but two "bunkie boards" instead of the box springs they ordered. They tried to correct this and, after numerous phone calls, were told they need to pay $79 more and that the bunkie boards could not be returned even though they had not been used.
My friends then told me the box springs were going to be delivered, they thought, on a Friday. Since this was not going to be possible for me, I tried to call to let them know right away this time would not work (started calling on a Tuesday). I was given another number to call where I was told that we were not on the schedule, but I would be notified as to when the order would be delivered within 24-48 hours prior to delivery. No choice on my part... it was their "policy". So, I then got a notice asking me to confirm that the delivery would be between 8 and 11 on Friday.
I called, held the phone for 25 minutes, and after telling her I was frustrated with them, yada yada yada, she said they could reschedule it for the following Wednesday but they couldn't tell me morning or afternoon. So, I explained to her that it put me in the position of not being able to schedule anything else on that day, but she said that is the way it works. So, just when I was about to say "OKAY" (this after saying a lot of other things, I can assure you), she said since I was making a "change" there would be a $79 change fee. Unbelievable... their deception with substituting bunkie boards for box springs, their charging my friends $79 more for box springs ($79 must be their magic number), not being able to schedule deliveries but being told when it would be coming, and then wanting to charge an additional $79 if you try to actually schedule a delivery like most companies do.

We bought a sofa for our daughter from Ashley Furniture in San Antonio on Jan 11, 2010. The sofa was bought in her name but I paid for it. The sofa is a material called Durablend which is a combination of Polyurethane, Poly/Cotton, & Leather. The sales representatives told us it should wear as well as leather. Today, 6-1/2 years after purchase, the sofa is total trash. I have a 16 year old fabric Broyhill sofa which is in excellent condition. I am posting pictures which will show that the material of the Ashley has completely peeled off the backing on 3 of the cushions. Another picture shows the cracks in other cushions which will eventually look like the others. Ashley should be ashamed to sell such a product. Don't EVER buy from this company. You will regret it.

I recently went to Ashley and was looking at purchasing furniture for my home. At the end of everything I wrote out a check for $500.00 to hold what I ordered. The whole process was taking longer than I had expected. I had to leave to pick my son up from his dad's. So I was asked to leave the $500.00 dollar's, STUPID Me I did!!! When I found out that it would take a month for half of my order to come in I told them to cancel my order. I then asked for my check back since I came back on the next day. They told me that they DEPOSITED it... I was told that they would hold it! Till I came back the next day. Nothing but LIES.
After that the clerk told me he would put in a refund for me and that it would take 14 days for it to hit my account. The was on May 26th, I check my account NOTHING on the 14th day. So I call on them on June 9, they told me that they have sent the approval for refund and it should be in my account on June 14th or no later than June 21st. So I check my account today and GUESS What No Money, today is June 21st. So I call and now the Load of Crap is they put the check in the mail and I should get the check in 2 weeks. I WILL NEVER!!! We purchased our couch, loveseat, end tables and coffee table on 3/19/16 from Ashley Furniture on Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC. The items were delivered on 4/20/16. In early May we called the store to complain about the couch cushions on both the loveseat and couch since they were warping and were very uncomfortable. Without any question or hesitation the rep sent out replacement cushions. We received them 1 week later and within the next two weeks, the new cushions had warped just like the old ones. We called again to complain and again, without hesitation, they sent out new cushions. These new ones once again warped within a few days use. We called again to complain and stated we wanted an exchange for a new product. The rep on the phone stated they need to send out a tech to review the product first before they authorize any exchanges.
The rep came out on 6/8/16 and reviewed the product. He advised us that it is a new line of couches with a new line of cushions and it appears that our couch and loveseat are both defective. He took pictures, documented on his galaxy tab and advised us that he was sending in the information to Ashley Furniture so that we can get an exchange for a different product as the problem was going to keep occurring. He stated someone from Ashley would contact us within 24 hours. After 4 days of waiting for a call, it was clear we weren't going to get one so we called store, only to be told that the tech's notes state nothing about the product being defective and that we are only to get more cushions sent out.
When I advised that we did not want more cushions, we wanted a different couch the rep stated, "Sorry, cushions is all we can authorize." The couches are less than 2 months old and are clearly defective, yet Ashley refuses to do anything to rectify the problem with their so-called "high-quality material." This is unacceptable and terrible business practice.

BE AWARE!!! DELIVERY WILL NOT WORK AROUND YOUR TIME, you will need to ask for the entire day off or be flexible changing the "agreed" 4 hour window. THEY ARE BULLIES, they call your apartment complex directly to force you to work with their delivery time. Delivery time is shared with you the day before, which gives you no room to be flexible… only if you work from home or do not have a job from 9 to 5!
MAKE SURE YOU GET FULL DISCLOSURE ON DELIVERY POLICIES if you decide to buy from them. I had spoken with Ashley's sales team and managers giving them a window of 4 hours (morning or evening) which THEY SAID, "WE WILL WORK WITH YOUR TIME"... Bunch of lies. At the end I had to take the full day off to comply with their delivery time. If I would not have agreed, I would have had to reschedule and paid for the extra delivery fees. I even asked to have the delivery on a weekend which would have cost me extra... but the only way to do it is to go to the store which is 45 minutes away from home. I guess they do not know your credit cards payments can be taken over the phone!!!
After waiting for almost 4 weeks for the new furniture YOU WOULD BE EXPECT FOR ASHLEY’S FURNITURE TO CARE A BIT MORE FOR THEIR CLIENTS. It is like the only thing they care is to find ways to get more money from us. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! I had to re-schedule business meetings to comply with their demands. Ridiculous, I thought the deliver time should work around the clients schedule not the other way around.

Received a "55% off sale" + an additional "10% off" flyer via mail for Ashley Furniture. My wife and I browsed the website showroom to figure out what items we would target and gathered prices. Upon arrival at the physical store in Cherry Hill, NJ on 6/18/2016 we quickly found the "regular price" of a few of the items we had planned on purchasing was marked up approximately 90% and discounted from the marked up "regular price". One in particular is the Dexifield 5 Drawer Chest listed originally for $399 on-line (after putting in your area code to match pricing). In the store during the "55% off sale" this item was tagged as $759 "regular price" $341 "final price".
After discovering several other items with identical mark-ups I approached customer service to inquire about the increased pricing. The customer service rep informed me that the on-line price was a "sale price" and that Ashley Furniture is a franchise and the $759 is the "retail price and the MSRP", and when I asked for the store manager he told me he was the store manager and further displayed unprofessional and disrespectful mannerisms and comments. Further research showed an average MSRP of around $350-$400. This, in my opinion, is the old "bait-and-switch" sales tactic and I believe some light should be shed on this irresponsible business approach.

I purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture Store in Richmond Virginia, located on Broad Street, in March of this year. The first time we sat on the sofa, the foot broke off, rendering the sofa unsafe for use. I communicated this to the Manager of Customer Service, Ms. **, and was told that it would have to be checked and repaired.
I did not pay for a refurbished couch, and I requested an exchange, which was denied. I took out a warrant in debt to request a refund; however, you must file the claim in Fredericksburg, an hour and a half away, and I have to contact an attorney to find out who should be held accountable. They are in the business of defrauding the public, and with the legal systems' assistance to the store, it is very difficult to resolve issues, and impossible to get a refund. I will be also contacting Twelve On Your Side Broadcasting System.

If I could give zero stars I would!!! Sofa purchased on April 17, 2016 in store. The sales person was friendly, we were told we were getting a discount and we set up delivery for the following Wednesday. Great! We were initially happy with the service and we felt good purchasing something somewhat 'local'. My husband took the day off work to be home to receive the sofa. The first issue was I checked the price of the sofa online and found it for another 17% less than the supposedly deep discounted price we bought it for in the store! We phoned in, waited on hold, and asked why Ashley online was cheaper than the discounted store purchase. No reason was provided, but we were advised that a cheque for the difference would be sent. We felt a little taken but otherwise not a big deal.
My husband waited around on Wednesday for the sofa to arrive, he received a call on Wednesday afternoon that the delivery had been rescheduled for Thursday. There was no reason provided. Well we weren't going to be home on Thursday, so we had to reschedule for the next available time. Very annoyed at having wasted a vacation day on Wednesday, and that there wasn't more notice given by the company. Nevertheless, we booked delivery for the following Saturday. I phoned ahead to make sure that everything was still going as planned, after waiting on hold and being transferred around to the store and to the customer care (which is super unhelpful by the way!!!) I was able to find out that the delivery had been rescheduled again. What!? We didn't even receive a call this time! No notice whatsoever that the sofa was not going to be arriving on its scheduled delivery day.
There was no apology from Ashley customer care, the customer care rep treated me as if I was a nuisance and was so unbelievably unhelpful and indifferent. It is extremely frustrating not being able to speak to anyone who actually cares. I rescheduled the delivery for a new time. The delivery was rescheduled by Ashley without notifying us once again. At this point we were so frustrated and actually couldn't believe that a company can operate this way. The communication between the store, the customer care department and the delivery people is nonexistent and no one cares about the customer. At this point I had lost all trust that the sofa would ever be delivered, but we tried one more time. We waited all day on a Saturday after confirming earlier in the morning with the store that the sofa was on the truck and was being delivered that day.
My husband even received a call from the driver saying that they would be at our house in 45 minutes. At 4 pm that afternoon I phoned the store, the sofa had not arrived yet. It took an hour of talking to the store and customer care to find out that the driver had been turned around by customer care for whatever reason. The customer care rep actually hung up on my husband when he started asking what the problem was. So... the sofa was not being delivered that day either. There is no accountability whatsoever from Ashley!!
My husband and I cancelled the sofa purchase after hours of wasted time on the phone with very unhelpful and indifferent supposedly customer care representatives. We cannot believe that this store is still in operation. We wished that we read the reviews before making a purchase! We cancelled the sofa purchase in May, and it is June 13th and we are still waiting for our refund. I will never purchase anything from Ashley ever again, and I will make sure all my friends and family know of our terrible experience with them. Ashley Furniture is the WORST.

The ONLY good thing about this location is the salesperson, Jon. Can you say GHETTO and IGNORANT!!! Shana, a salesperson, at this location just sends people to the kiosk if they are considering financing their furniture and asks them to come back. My husband dealt with Jon and the District Manager and they were both great. He goes in and wants to finance... She sends him to the kiosk and FAILS to inform him that it's a HARD credit hit and that once he apply it is outside of their hands to cancel.
When my husband left he asked that the account be closed. He was told AFTER the fact that he has to call Synchrony, who doesn't cancel the account but keeps the process rolling, sends you a card and tells you to cancel. That's another derogatory hit on your credit. So, when I call to complain the lady who answers the phone is FULLY AWARE that it is a hard hit and tells me who was dealing with my husband because Jon wasn't in. I get Anthony, the supervisor, on the phone and he is FULLY AWARE that it is a HARD credit hit and is even aware that it brings your credit down 29 points!!! FOR FURNITURE!!!
He's nonchalant about this and is just like "I will have to talk to her." Then asks me if I want to talk to her... I flat out asked him: "Do you want me to cuss her out?" So, dingbat, Shana, gets on the phone and claims that she NEVER knew or was TOLD that it was a HARD credit hit. She then tries to blame the damn kiosk because it says it's checks your credit. Dumbass, there's a huge difference between a SOFT credit hit and a HARD credit hit. So, I asked if she was the customer wouldn't she want to be aware that a HARD credit hit was going to be run. This ghetto troll responds: "No disrespect but I would've asked."
No... You INFORM the customer!!! People ONLY DO BUSINESS with people they trust!! She goes onto to say that NO ONE who works there informs the customers that financing involves a HARD CREDIT hit. Long story short, SHANA and ANTHONY ruined Jon's sale that he had worked on and been nothing but the epitome of a compassionate, ethical and professional salesperson!!! They're GHETTO and RATCHET!!! If you do go to this store... ONLY deal with JON!!!

Apparently accessories from Ashley's should come with the warning 'buyer beware'. We purchased a sectional couch and I found an area rug in the store that I thought would look nice. We weren't warned that accessories are not returnable. We received both items. The sectional was great, but within a week the rug started falling apart and the fibers continually come off the rug, all over my toddler. It's really disgusting. We were not aware that this is the nature of this type of material. Regardless, it's still unraveling (within a week).
I called customer service, which was a joke. When I finally got through to someone. I called the number which told me to call the store to see if we could 'work it out'. The representative at the store straight up said that customer service was trying to dump it on them and they can't help me, to call back customer service. I called back customer service. I explained that I would be happy to get store credit. The rug is falling apart and is unsanitary. She asked me to send photos illustrating the issues. I emailed them that night. I received an email that it was received and that she would let me know.
A week and a half later, still no call. I called the customer service rep and left a message at her extension - still nothing for a couple of days. I called again and she answer. She put me on hold and then proceeded to tell me that there is a note from the manager, Darlene, that 'There are no returns on accessories', period. I said "Even though the rug is falling apart and we spent $400 on it?" She just kept repeating the note. I asked for Darlene to call me back. Yup, that never happened. This is unacceptable, and poor business. Buyers Beware!

Bought 2 couches and an ottoman back in July 2015. The price matched the furniture to www.furniturepick.com and saved me almost $400. Didn't think they'd match some random furniture website but they did. That surprised me. Around March, I noticed that one side arm rest of the sofa was caving in and the back cushion was more squished up than the other cushions on the rest of the couch and the love seat, most likely due to that side getting more heavy use than the rest of the couches or actually a defect.
Read some reviews of Ashley's and was a little worried when I read so many people having warranty exchange issues. Finally called around the last week of May for warranty coverage. They sent a guy named Jose to check it out. After I pointed everything out he felt it was easier just to exchange than try to fix. Week later (today) they told me they're exchanging for new couch and set up delivery for me. It couldn't have gone any easier!

I was looking for a certain chair/recliner and after searching online I found one at Ashley and that's where the story begins. Not wanting to buy without seeing, touching and sitting in a piece of furniture we headed off to Ashley where my found item was said to be. Upon arrival, was told they no longer had item on display, but could order it. Um, no. Went through entire showroom until we found a couple of pieces that would work and had the tickets written up. Our salesman started crunching numbers, adding on extended warranty... was told before agreeing that it covered damage done by pets, which he later denied... delivery charge and taxes. Husband paid and signed a bunch of paperwork... paid for with private CC... and we left to go eat lunch because we were starving.
After we get home, I question why it was almost $2500 for the two pieces so I starting looking online. The online ad had these two pieces at 25% off while the store only offered 15%. Next, we were double charged for delivery. One item was in stock and the other was about a week out. I told the salesman that they could hold shipping until both items were ready to go so I wasn't double charged. Well he told me that he checked with his manager and we wouldn't be charged for both even if they shipped at different times. Wrong, charged twice. Extended warranty was also charged for all three pieces while I was given the impression that the one price covered everything. Note here... only one item really needed the extended warranty because it was a power recliner. Also was told that it covered everything, including pet damage but right after all was said and paid for, recanted and said that no pet damage was covered... huh?
So upon review we paid almost $500 more than we should have. Yes, buying the warranty was our choice but instead of being just $149, it was the $149 plus another $99. We went back to the store and questioned the salesman and the store manager. Why were we not told that online was much cheaper and not given the option to purchase that way??? If our salesman had told us that little secret upfront, I might have bought a new end table also. Instead he kept quiet and went on to lie about warranty and shipping charges. The store manager offered to meet the online prices and even give us an additional % off but by that time we were done... like put a fork in us done.
We wanted a full refund, simple enough, no. The customer service girl did a refund minus a small item we kept. I noticed that the numbers didn't add up and I was right. She left the $149 extended warranty charge!!! Said she didn't see it??? I'm glad I did some "ciphering" before we left the store for good. After that encounter and reading all the other reviews about the quality, or lack thereof, of the furniture we will go somewhere else. God, I miss Wick's. ;)

We have purchased Ashley sofa. The sofa customer agent showed and the one we received is quite different. We felt like we have received a duplicate brand, it's uncomfortable to be seated. We have also purchased other accessories on sale, after getting them to home and they have broken into half unpurposely. We felt bad and asked Ashley to refund back. They said "20% off sofa credit will be deducted and the rest will be in your account". They have not discussed about this return policy before. We have lost $200 for this. Huge loss for us of no use. They are even charging more for delivering furniture to home. I don't want to go for Ashley anymore.

We purchased a queen size bed, a mattress and two side table for our guest room. Upon insistence of the sales rep, a protection plan was added to the order. After delivery, we noticed that the headboard moved quite a bit and more importantly, it was chipped. We had not use the bed so we asked for it to be replaced. The replacement headboard started to peel after a few days of being received and without it being used. We call the Ashley Furniture and they said that it could be replace again but that keeping replacing it would cost them. Since then we had not used the bed. We really wanted to return it. The company said that we were not able to doing so but because the part was replaced already, that they were going to give us credit to buy another set. They told us to go to the store (St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, FL) and also said that we would need to pay shipping again ($169).
We were not happy that we would need to pay for shipping again given that the bed was defective from the beginning. We spoke to a customer service person and after browsing other bed sets, we found one that was suitable to our needs. The problem was that it is significantly more expensive. We were told to wait so we did for over an hour but the sales person did not make himself available. They tried to assign another sales rep but he then got another customer. We had to leave and we were told the limited hours the sales rep had.
I call the store during one of those days hoping to talk to him. I left a voicemail with specific details for him to contact me but my call was not returned. I sent an email but he did not respond. Over the weekend I called again and this time I was able to get a live agent (instead of a recording). She located him and told me that he was with a customer. I told her that I had sent an email. She then located him again and told that he was going to respond. She said that for replacements, we needed to go to the store... A few minutes later I got an email. In there he claimed that he did not know which set we liked. (All the details were in my email but he did not read it.) We have gone back and forth since then but we have not been able to resolve the issue.
We bought our original set on a budget and it was portrayed as durable but it has not been the case. Now they are forcing us to buy a more expensive one and even charge us for additional shipping. I asked for the protection plan on the original bed set to the voided and apply that credit to the new purchase but that they claim it cannot be done. The level of frustration is high and the distrust for the company and the sales rep even higher. Overall, we got a bad product and the service after that has been worse.

I purchased my love seat, sofa, and couch in 2012 with a five-year extended warranty promising that my furniture would last a lifetime and if anything would go wrong this warranty would cover it. Well 2015 my furniture starts to peel off. The leather started to peel. I have never seen anything like this so I called it in to be repair be the warranty but they said it wasn't covered. I told them that their furniture is peeling apart by itself and it's not cover under warranty I paid extra for. That's the craziest thing I ever heard. So then I took fifty pictures of my furniture and took them down to the store where I bought the furniture from in Kannapolis, Concord off Bayfield parkway and showed the manager.
I told him that "This is what my furniture looks like 3 years later and they said it would last a lifetime, so now what are they going to do because I paid for good furniture plus warranty and you sold me crap and ripped me off because your extended warranty doesn't cover anything." He said he would have to call someone, but there was no need to cause a scene and he would call me back first thing Monday morning when he heard something. So I waited and no phone call so I called him and the front desk lady. He was still waiting but when he heard something he would call. So I called back in a week and the lady said he wasn't there but he was working on it and give the dept We Care at Ashley call again.
So then I was mad so I filed a complaint against them on Better Business, so someone called me back told me my furniture would be fixed. They were sending out leather and for me to call when it got there to set up a date for person to come put it on. I did that and guy came out and there was only enough leather to fix love seat so he didn't do anything but take pics and left. Said he order more leather. So I waited. No more leather showed so I called. Apparently the guy didn't do what he said he was going to do so lady on the phone said she would do it. Order the leather. So I waited again. And once again nothing so then I called again and I got transfer to the We Care Department and for some reason this department doesn't have a clue of what's going on. They said since I was dealing with a third party person they have no pics.
So now it's 2016 of June. I have sent all pics to these people and now I'm waiting on some to review my file because now they say they can't find a serial number and I told them "Well I sent you a pic of the tags on the furniture and they stapled the leg of the furniture through it so you see what I see. That's why I sent you an actual copy of the order form when I order the furniture so you could see what each item was with the item numbers on it." I was also told that the leather was sent to the manufacturing company and was waiting on response from them too. But as you can tell that never happened either. So the lady today told me to be patient. The lady that was handle my case was off for a few days and she needed time to review my case and would email me back today. So I can tell you I would never buy from them again, and the customer service is the worst. They just jerk you around.

I too have had: Impromptu delivery cancellations, deliveries with missing pieces, delivery dates months apart (here a piece, there a piece), delivery of used furniture (torn, scratched, repaired), choice of mismatched furniture to remedy the situation, leather repair service call that had to be rescheduled after finding additional damage, billing for furniture not utilized. I ordered a table from Ashley Furniture's online site. The prices were much lower than in the store and I figured they must ship home furnishings all the time, so took the chance. I was under the impression from the website that larger items would be delivered from my local store. I was wrong. The 100 lb table was left on my front porch while I was at work. The box was damaged on all sides and I knew the table would not be in acceptable condition. It was completely caved in on one side.
When I called Customer Service, they could not find my order and left me on hold twice for over 40 minutes before I hung up. Inside the shipping label is a note saying shipping will not be refunded, even if item arrives damaged. So I have to pay to have a 100 lb table returned that was left on my porch damaged. And good luck getting a human being on the phone. Run, don't walk away from this company. I am going back to Macy's Furniture who has given me exceptional customer service in the past when things have gone wrong. They told me that they can credit my debit card but they couldn't credit me the tax or does the delivery charge which was fine. There was a difference of $204.51 and then I received my Ashley Furniture credit card bill and they charged me IN FULL. I went back to the location where I purchased my dining room set and they told me that they can credit my Ashley Furniture card, but they couldn't credit my debit card when that's how I originally paid for it.
I returned a throw blanket for $30 and 3 months later my card is still not credited that $30, so I'm not about to wait another few months just get me back the difference of $204.51. Then I asked to speak to a manager at the Mesa location and the customer service girl Danielle told me she's above everybody in that store today. She was only head of customer service so I talked to the assistant manager and he wasn't comfortable crediting back my debit card either and asked me to come back tomorrow to talk to the store manager which I will do. Now, four months later we have that same problem again with added problems. They sent a man out to repair it but we are waiting until we can speak with the General Manager. And to think we paid over $4,000.00 for the sofa and loveseat, and an additional $249.99 5 yr. protection plan.

I called on APRIL 12, 2016 to Montage and they stated they couldn't find the warranty, claimed I didn't have a protection plan, and wouldn't speak to me any further. I then called Ashley Furniture Customer Service 866-268-6959 Option 3 and spoke to Shay. She found the protection plan and emailed me a form to complete, and to send pics. She stated there had been some furniture manufactured during that time with defects. She also stated it would take up to a week for the claim to be processed.
I received an email May 2nd stating they were reviewing my claim after I emailed them APRIL 25 inquiring about the claim. I called back on MAY 6 and spoke to Toni. She stated they were waiting on the company to make a decision on repairing the recliner. I sent 3 emails MAY 12 notifying them the other arm was peeling and needed repair, and would like to know something about the claim but never received a response except to say that I had met my quota for sending emails and all 3 emails were undelivered.
I called back on MAY 16 and spoke to Alex. He stated, "Still no response from manufacturer." He stated I couldn't speak to anyone at the manufacturer about the claim but had to go through them. I requested to speak to a manager and was put on hold for 15 minutes. He came back and stated Crystal, supervisor, was out and would be back tomorrow MAY 17 at 10:00 AM, and she would call me about my claim first thing the next morning. Stated she was the one working on my case and no one could get in her cases to review them but her. I NEVER received a phone call.
I called back that evening on May 17 and requested to speak to Crystal, supervisor. They put me on hold for approx. 10 mins stating she was on the phone. I hung up and called back, and spoke to David. He stated there was no Crystal that worked there and then stated they never received any pics. I instructed David I knew that wasn't true because I had received an email stating they had received it because they were reviewing my claim. He stated someone would call me late evening or the next day. I told him I was calling BBB and Consumer Affairs because they were jerking me around and they wouldn't help me and kept telling me lies. I hung up and went to file a claim and I received an email immediately stating they approved the claim, and the material would be mailed to me 7-10 days, and to call to set up an appointment for someone to come out and repair the recliner.
On May 26, I called and spoke to Jeremy. He stated it showed no appointments for someone to repair the recliner till 2017 but thinks that was wrong. He also stated the date to fix the recliner was supposed to have been set up 21 days out from when the part was ORDERED and stated that was being lazy on the Customer Service person. I shouldn't have had to call in to set up a time. He stated the earliest someone could fix the recliner was July 15. When I opened the package, there was only one part to fix one arm of the couch instead of both arms.
I have been around and around with them, and they will not fix the tearing of the leather, and I cannot get anywhere with them. Each person that I speak to tells me something different each time. I want both arms of the recliner fixed at the same time, not at different times. I requested this from the start but they continue to ignore the request. Not only that, I filed the claim April 12 and ONE ARM IS GOING TO BE FIXED JULY 15, 3 MONTHS LATER!!! Can someone please help me with this matter to get what I paid for? And I PROMISE, I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

My first experience with the company came without a hitch, that's probably because there were no issues with the furniture purchased. Everything went smoothly except for a China made piece that was poorly made. I have carpenter skills so I fixed the piece myself having really liking the item. On the other hand, my second trip to the same store was like night and day. The sales end went fine, as it always does when they are collecting the funds. The issue starts when the wrong furniture ordered, not known until its arrival because of the horrific process of codes and part numbers as you can see if you've ever shopped there.
Long story short, I was promised by the store manager, a ** guy in my he Greece any store. The store wouldn't even give me his name after knowing I had a complaint. The worst shopping experience I ever had in my life! They are the worst when it comes to customer care and management. In mid March I went to Ashley Furniture in, 707 Bayshore Blvd San Francisco, CA 94124, to check on some furniture for my living room and I was looking for sofas. I found one which I like and they told me the earliest delivery date will be around April 28th, which I agreed and I ended up buying it for a bit discounted price. Additionally, I bought a dining table set, some lamps, and a small standing table. When the delivery time comes (April 28) up I get a phone from their delivery team and they inform me that the sofa hasn't arrived the warehouse and they said the earliest they can deliver will be following week. I agreed on their terms and the following they tell me the same excuse and they ask me to move it to following week.
At that moment I was starting to lose my patience because it has been more than month waiting for my furniture to arrive. Again I agreed on their terms, however I specifically asked for a delivery on a Friday afternoon after 5pm which they promised they will. On that day I get a phone call at 12pm from the delivery guy telling me he's at my place to deliver my items. At that moment I call straight the delivery team and I explain them of the situation and I insist on telling them that they haven't kept their promise of delivering it at the time I wanted, while keeping in mind that it has been 2 weeks past the initial delivery date. I end up speaking with the manager at that office, she promises me delivery for that Sunday. However, at the end of the phone call she informs me that the sofa is not part of the delivery and she needs to do investigation to find out where it is (keep in mind that 12pm I was getting a delivery without the sofa).
At the end the manager promises me delivery of all my items on Sunday. Saturday arrives I get a phone call from the same delivery team asking me for dates of delivery after Thursday the coming week. At that point it was obvious that manager who gave me the promise of delivery on Sunday did not care about me and technically she lied to me. At that point I'm already running out of patience. I decide to drive to the store where I bought from and I explain all the situation to the store manager (hoping he would have known of the situation). Finally, at the end apologizes and tells me he will make it up for me and he promised a delivery the following Tuesday after 5pm (the time I requested).
That Tuesday morning I receive a phone call from Mr. ** (the store manager) to inform me that the sofa I bought isn't being manufactured by the company anymore and that is why the sofa wasn't been found in the warehouse and all the delivery hassle I had to experience. So basically, a sofa was sold to me that isn't being manufactured by the company and they have no left inventory of that item. Additionally, at this point I had to wait for the sofa for almost 2 months. Two months of sitting on the floor of my apt, two months of having guest sleep over but on my floor of my living room, two months of eating my breakfast/lunch/dinner in my bed. And all this because they lied to me and they've been lying to me the whole time. It's lie from the moment I bought the sofa until the moment I found out that it's not available.
The following weekend I decided to go to the store and ask for a compensation. What do I get in return a sofa with similar price but better quality, an extra $60 credit on my expense and $100 gift card for future purchases. At that point all I cared about was a delivery on time, at a time I wanted (next Friday afternoon after 5pm), because my fiancee is going to move to my place the following weekend. On Tuesday I get a phone call from delivery team informing me that my delivery has been scheduled for Thursday afternoon between 1-5pm, without having any mentions about my request of delivering it on Friday after 5pm. At that point I was realizing that there's no solution and those guys will not deliver it at the time I want, therefore I accepted their time frame and I ended taking a time off so I can be able to accommodate their driver's time, rather than being the other way around.
Tomorrow is the day of the delivery and I hope they'll deliver my item. Otherwise, it's a disaster. I wanted to share my story and my shopping experience at Ashley with you to show you of how bad of a corporation Ashley is. They are completely un-organized, they have the worst delivery system and team you can find in the United States, they have bunch of lying managers who obviously do not care about customer appreciation. I spent my money at the store and in return I get all this. If they are really one of the best furniture companies in the US and they really care about their customer they would hear my voice, move up to management, and make up for all the damages and losses they have done to me. However, I do not expect anything back from them at this moment and I do not want to make any purchase there.

There is also small area of warping on the top of the table and they refuse to fix it because they say it is caused by water damage. However, they never once even came to inspect the spot to verify its cause AND our warranty contract specifically states that warping is covered. There is no clause that says that warping is not covered if it is caused by water damage, it simply states that warping is covered. It was rare to get furniture with a flaw and if there was, they would have it corrected ASAP. So we ordered the furniture. We both work all week so we had a relative come to the house the day of delivery. I noticed that night, the leg of the chair was not straight. They scheduled someone to come out to fix it. We had to get another relative to come out and wait for them to show up. When they did, they did not fix the leg of the chair at all. They said it came from the factory that way.
So, I called the store again and complained that the chair was not fixed and the finish on the coffee table is now flaking off. They scheduled a second appt and I was told that they would replace the chair and table for us. The day of the appt, we had to get another relative to come to house and wait. The delivery guys showed up and said, "Oh we cannot take the furniture because we have a bunch of deliveries to make." Why they were scheduled to pick up something when they had deliveries to make I do not know. They said they would stop back by between 6-8pm.
We had plans that night so we had a sitter come stay with the kids and thought they would take the furniture. When they showed up to take the furniture that evening they refused to take it because our sitter was not 18 yrs old. No one told us that someone had to be 18 yrs old to pick up the furniture. Since then, I have sent several emails to the store manager and no response. I will NEVER buy Ashley Furniture again.

They forgot to notify the loan company that furniture was purchased and now my contract is now expired. They are being lazy and not helping resolve. They have been "working" on it since December. We were told that when we purchased the set in 2013 that it had a 7 year warranty on finish and quality. Well the whole top of the table has peeled off. My wife was sitting on a chair the other day and the back broke off. We called them they are now backpedaling. They say if I spilled paint on it, it would be covered but not the finish peeling up from crappy built garbage. As for me I will never in my life return to Ashley Furniture again. If there was less than 1 star I would give them that.

My husband and I purchased a black leather sectional in January of 2012 from Ashley Furniture in Schererville, IN. We also purchased the 5 year warranty with Guardsman. This was the first time we have purchased leather furniture. We felt it would be a better look in our living room and an easier clean up as we have 2 children. Our salesperson spoke highly of purchasing the warranty so if anything were to go wrong with our furniture we would be covered with no questions asked.
I'm disappointed to say that was a lie. We have had a horrible experience trying to get assistance with the many issues we have had with this piece of purchased furniture. The last straw is the peeling of the leather. We now have a piece of furniture in our living room that is a true embarrassment. The couch we purchased in 2012 now looks like a piece of furniture we purchased 10 years ago. We have called and inquired to be told that peeling is not covered under the warranty. I will NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING ELSE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. We have been looking at reviews to see that we are not the only customers that have experienced this situation. Ashley Furniture should stand behind their products and make good with customers who have had to deal with unnecessary issues.
I'm in disbelief that I have furniture in my home that is peeling, yes peeling. I take care of my furniture and feel it to be a huge problem that I'm experiencing issues with my furniture because of the lack thereof on Ashley Furniture's part. I wasn't aware that leather was supposed to peel, it just flakes off. It looks horrible! I'm embarrassed to have company come over to sit on my couch. I have to place blankets over the peeling so no one can see it. I called Guardsman to be told they do not cover 'peeling' but any accidental cuts or tears to the couch 'accidentally' they will fix it for free for 5 years but since it is defective and peeling it is not covered. Unbelievable!
We have expressed how unsatisfied we are to no avail. This issue should be addressed and rectified immediately. Customers should not have to deal with this undue stress especially having paid out additional money for a warranty that apparently will not work for me. I have family and friends who knows our situation and it was brought to our attention that this was addressed on the I-Team Channel 7 news that the Consumer Affairs at Ashley Furniture website should help address this peeling of leather couches issue that Ashley Furniture continues to not address with many dissatisfied customers. We appreciate any assistance and/or help you are able to provide. Thanking you in advance.

Terrible experience with Ashley. I went into the store to purchase a box spring and mattress. While I was there I also decided to purchase a sofa and ottoman. I made sure that the old box spring and mattress would be removed and was assured by the salesperson that it would be. My delivery date was scheduled for that Wednesday and I was so excited. I scheduled the day off of work and waited for my delivery. The drivers showed up and I was told they could NOT take the old mattress. I let them know that I made sure that they would take it when I purchased it or I would have shopped elsewhere. He pointed out a small stain - which he had to point out to me - and said he had new mattresses on the truck so he couldn't take mine. He called his manager and I called the store. The person at the store was of no help. I asked to talk to a manager and was told she was in a meeting. I explained the situation and she finally got the manager on the phone.
The manager was not helpful at all. All I got was, "I'm sorry, we can't take it." They asked if I could call someone to remove the mattress/box spring for me. At this point the other driver was coming in with the ottoman. I let them know if they didn't take out the old mattress I was canceling my entire order. The Ashley employees/manager didn't really seem to care. They could have done a number of things: 1) come back as the last stop after the truck was empty, 2) take the mattress to the curb, 3) put the plastic bag from the new mattress over the old mattress. They didn't even try to salvage the situation. I realize my furniture purchase isn't going to make or break them, but their customer service is horrendous.
As a business, they have to realize that when they are taking out a mattress that someone is replacing that it probably isn't going to be a new mattress. After the drivers left with the items that were supposed to be delivered. Someone called to make sure the delivery went well. I let her know what happened, she said she would let the regional manager know and have him call me. I never heard from him. I'm in sales and would have tried much harder than Ashley Furniture to save a sale. I won't ever shop there and will share this story with anyone I know who is looking to purchase furniture.

We shop often at Ashley Furniture. My husband I have spent over $6000 at Ashley Furniture in the last year. We have bought a Tempurpedic mattress for $4000 and a sectional that was $1200. Most recently we bought a lounge chair from the university store in Charlotte NC. When we purchased the chair we informed the sales associate that we weren't sure it would fit in our living room. She assured us the return process was easy and quick. That definitely was not the case. My husband and I have been calling the store at least 3-5 times a day since Saturday. We even talked to the main customer service # who claimed they couldn't help us because the store wouldn't pick up.
So now it's day 6 and still no answer after several left message and we're left with a chair sitting in the middle of our living room. My husband and I both work in healthcare and are very busy. I work 12 HR shifts at work and go back to work tomorrow. I will not be home to call the store all day just to try to process a simple return. Of all the thousands of dollars we spent at Ashley we can't get any help in returning a $500 chair, seriously!! I'm beyond upset. Almost a week later and no response from the store. No one's answering the phone and customer service can't help. Maybe Ashley expects us to wait 2 weeks or a month to get a response. Surely they didn't wait that long before they received payment on the many purchases we've made there.
Day 6 of no answer, we finally decided to drag the baby out, drive across town and go into the store and try and process the return. The manager Hose had no clue how to process it, and when I approached him to explain the situation and how we had been calling for over 5 days he replied "well it got resolved, didn't it." I'm very disappointed with Ashley Furniture and consider never doing business with them again.

Ashley HomeStore. We purchase a new mattress and box spring, spend money on delivery, wait 2 weeks to finally sleep on it. Have slept on it for 2.5 weeks now. Get a call from them to inform us that they messed up and sent us the wrong box spring. My options: pick up and redeliver the right one or keep the current one and pay over $1,000. Uh no. Since when is one's company not responsible for their own mistakes and make it their customers problem?
After many aggravating phone calls I am now faced with rebooking a new delivery date and purchasing a brand new bed frame (the old one was tossed because THEY told me we didn't need it for this particular box spring). I demanded my delivery charge to be refunded and a free bed frame to come with the new box spring due to the inconvenience (which I believe to be a reasonable request). "No can do". They offer me a $100 gift card (doesn't even cover a new bed frame, let alone the initial delivery cost) which can't be used until AFTER the delivery so now my new box spring has to sit on the floor until we can drive out to Henrietta to their store to get a new bed frame which I would've already had if it weren't for their stupid mistake. Not to mention... who takes back a used box spring and resells it? Customer service can suck, I get it, but when your company effs up, ya take the hit. End rant.

In 2013 I took possession of a new house and furnished it through Ashley Furniture. I had nightmare scenarios with delivery - returning items, having them redelivered and on it goes. Once that furniture stays in your home, it is a royal battle to try to get Ashley to see reason. Before I proceed, I want to state that the sales personnel and the Store Manager in Lakeland are exceptional. However, the quality control, inspection process and the sustainability of the products is terrible.
When I returned to my Florida home in 2015, there was a rip in the recliner. I started my "battle of phone calls" in November 2015 and continued that battle into April 2016. I was told that I should not have been sold that particular material as it does not withstand the Florida climate. The screws were falling out of the six dining room chairs. It was agreed that I could swap out the two reclining love seats and dining chairs. But to me a swap out means an exchange. This "exchange" involved an additional $600+ expenditure on my part. The love seats were in my home for three weeks before they started to rip. It took six deliveries to try to get six chairs of good quality.
As I was about to leave Florida to return to Canada, I had had enough. Ashley agreed to take back the love seats and chairs. I have received a refund. The inconvenience, time spent on the phone, trips to Lakeland, etc. were numerous. To date the wooden furniture seems to be holding up well, but we shall see. Do I recommend buying from Ashley - absolutely not!!! I do not know how they arrived at the dollar amount that has been returned to me; but I am just happy that the furniture is now removed from my Florida home.

My husband and I purchased 2 bedroom sets, a dining set and a family room set from Ashley Furniture back in March of 2016. It is now May of 2016. The bed frame of one of the beds is falling apart. The nightstand was not assembled correctly, the dining room chairs are peeling, the queen mattress is 2" short of a standard queen mattress which should measure 60 full inches. The delivery team was annoyed at the delivery being so many items; they complained about the distance from the truck to the apartment door. They complained about how long it was taking them to make the delivery every time they walked through the apartment door.
Cut to the next day when the customer service representative called to double check on our order. I let them know that the mattress was too small and that there were some issues with some of the delivered furniture. The customer service representative told me not to worry that she saw that that mattress was often returned for the reason of not really being a Queen sized mattress but more of a Large Full sized mattress and to just call the store in Colton and let them know that I would like to have them pick up the mattress and get a different one.
So I called the store in Colton where we purchased the items. They were argumentative, unhelpful and rude. I have been calling the Colton store since the delivery week asking them to take care of all of these problems. I went into the store asking them to take care of the problems. When I went into the store they promised to have a "technician" come out that night to look at everything. That "technician" never called & never showed up. I then called back to ask them when the "technician" was going to reschedule with me. Well they would try for the next weekend. Again no call. I had to call back again and ask again when the "technician" was going to be scheduled. Finally I got a date of Saturday April 23rd. On Saturday April 23rd I was up early waiting for the "technician" to arrive.
I received a phone call saying that the "technician" was at my front door but no one was home. I was home and so I finally asked what address they were at. They were up in Crestline California at an address that the furniture was not delivered to. I was at the Pasadena California address where the furniture was delivered to a 90 mile distance is between Pasadena and Crestline. They then informed me that the "technician" would not make it to Pasadena that day due to being 90 miles away in Crestline. I have been calling the Colton store every 3 to 4 days since then asking them when they will reschedule the "technician" to come out and take care of this problem. I have received no response.
So I started asking for the General Manager's information to see if that would allow this situation to be resolved. I have been told that the General Manager is a person named John **, then the General Manager was Elli, then the General Manager is not Elli but it is John **. At this point I am under the understanding that once the furniture is delivered they are no longer available to do anything that they say they stand by or for. I do not want the furniture any longer due to the faulty nature of it and I wish I had never stepped foot in Ashley Furniture. Will this ever be resolved? Will John ** ever call me to resolve this situation? Does Ashley Furniture employ "technicians"? All mysteries that may or may not be answered within my lifetime.

Then called Ashley Furniture and spoke to Chris who was going to send a tech. person to verify whether this was structural damage. Tech came out on 12/15/15 and tighten all the loose screws with a hand drill and said they will definitely loosen again. Well they did. Called again on 4/12/16. Chairs are falling apart, screws just fall out, wood splitting, metal rings around the chairs very loose, table legs loose. Kept calling. Another tech. came out, took pictures and said he could glue and replace screws again. I refused and said want a replacement. No one contacted me.

He returned my call at 6:07 pm. telling me that the tech. told him he tighten the chairs and table (which was a lie). I was so upset, asked him for his supervisor’s name and number. I called her Darlene **. He assured me this would be taken care of also. Sent another tech. out on May 3rd, actually the same one that lied to begin with. Said the same thing about tightening and gluing. I then called Darlene on her cellphone and she will not replace the table and chairs. She wants to replace screws and glue it. We purchased about 6 years ago a rather expensive sectional set, made by Ashley Furniture. This set used their "Durablend" leather blend material, that was highly touted at the Ashley Store that we visited. While we ultimately purchased the sectional at another local retailer who carried Ashley Furniture, we were sold on this product by the Ashley Home Store in Springfield, Oregon (no longer in business).
This sofa was placed in a room that receives light usage. In fact for the most part, this sofa is like new. Except in the two seats that we have actually used. In this area, although very lightly used, the Durablend material is cracked and now completely peeling away from the sofa - so much so that we can no longer realistically sit on the sofa in those seats because we end up covered in bits of Durablend material, and the sofa declines in shape every time we sit on it. I contacted Ashley Home Store through their Facebook chat, and was told that they would help me get some support for this unit. I specifically stated in my initial contact that I knew that the warranty had limits (in fact, their site states it's only good for one year), but that this was clearly a defective product that was being used on their furniture.
What are we to do with a sofa that we can't sit on, and is now in such bad shape, not due to overuse or abuse, after only 6 years of light use, that we cannot resale? We literally have a piece of junk sitting in our house that cost us over $1000. I expect my furniture to have at least double this life span. Then to have Ashley act as though they are going to help, only to be told after two months of no communication, "Sorry, because the label dates this over 5 years, we can't process it as a warranty claim". I never asked for a warranty claim, I contacted them due to a defective product.
This product is clearly defective, and they are selling it to consumers who are then left with expensive pieces of furniture that are not usable or saleable. We did not keep our sales receipt after the first year (although we still have all the new tags from the delivery) as we never intended to return the unit. I intend to continue complaints, consumer reviews, and reaching out to find a solution until Ashley remedies this. They should NOT be selling this product any under circumstance. I've seen several complaints online, and it is clear that with our experience with the limited amount of use this piece has had (we don't even have children in our home), that this product is simply not durable enough to be used on sitting furniture.
I hope that someone from Ashley Furniture will be willing to make this right - either recovering this is a material that is acceptable for use on furniture, or replace it with something. This has been a horrible experience and I will NEVER recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone, and will go out of my way to make sure that anyone who would consider this product stays far away.

The rest of the boxes were left behind UNOPENED. UNEXAMINED. The boxes were left in the bedroom blocking the dresser and I could not get into the dresser. I had company coming and had to make other sleeping arrangements because the bed I bought was not ready at the promised time. 4/24/2016: Attempted 2nd delivery. I was called at 6AM in the morning by the warehouse requesting information about which part I needed. My only day of the week to sleep in on my day off was interrupted by this early morning call. 4/24/2016: Cannot plan my day until I receive call as to WHAT TIME the delivery #2 will take place. 4/24/2016: Delivery #2 arrived. We opened and examined the headboard in the parking lot and verified that it was not damaged. When the delivery men enter the bedroom we noted that the boxes left behind on Saturday were taped shut and had NOT been opened or examined on Friday 4/22/2016. Upon opening it was noted that the rails are damaged. One has a gauge in it. Another has the laminate peeling up over 8 inches. HAD THIS BEEN CHECKED ON 4/22/2016 this could have been avoided.
I spoke a an Escalation specialist who offered to give me a $200 gift certificate or $100 discount if I would accept product as is. DAMAGED! OR I could get a new undamaged piece delivered to me. I will now have to wait for a 3rd delivery. The company has seriously inconvenienced me. I asked to speak to someone over the escalation specialist and was told there was not anyone above her. I noted that I doubted she was the CEO of the company so surely there is someone above her level I can review this issue with. Why should I lose another day off waiting around for the 3rd delivery when all of this is ENTIRELY the fault of your poor quality control? And you cannot offer me undamaged product and an apology with a gift certificate or discount? I can ONLY get a gift certificate if I agree to accept a damaged product? Surely you cannot be proud of your company in this instance.
2/27/2016 10:30 PM. The delivery team arrived. They are confused. No one told them that they were supposed to assemble the piece. They thought they were just supposed to deliver and leave. I showed them the damaged pieces. I am not sure that they had the replacement part. The man nicely offered to start putting the bed together even though it was not in his work order and he might not even get paid for the task. When they were starting to put the bed together I looked and realized there is a big gauge in the headboard! Right in the middle. The current delivery man noted that he did not do it and did not deliver that piece. At that point I directed them to stop and call immediately to headquarters. I asked to have the furniture removed and I get a 100% refund because after 3 delivery attempts you still delivered me damaged goods. I was refused removal of this junk from my home.
Now I have no place for my son to sleep. I have damaged garbage taking up space in my home. I have been ripped off by your company and I will now be further inconvenienced by having to deal with your escalation specialist yet a 4th time. I will be further inconvenienced by having to wait for you to come get your crappy, poorly made furniture out of my home. I have had one experience buying furniture from Ashley Furniture - AND I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM EVER AGAIN. A few years ago I purchased a sectional "leather" sofa from Ashley for about a $1,120. When I purchased the sectional the salesperson was falling all over herself trying to up-sell me and pad my order with other items. She assured me that even though Ashley didn't warrant the furniture, all I had to do was call an 800# and they would take care of any issues might have.
Fast forward two years later: I called the 800# to complain that the finish on the "leather" was peeling off and sent them photos of the damage. The customer service person indicated she would send a replacement for the worn out pieces and that someone would be calling me to replace the leather upholstery. After a few weeks passed and I did not receive the promised package they indicated to me that the sofa had been discontinued and they would be sending me a $300 Ashley gift card as compensation.
A week later I received the package with the new upholstery piece. The bottom line here is this: ASHLEY FURNITURE DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS IT SELLS. That did not happen. They actually wanted to deliver until the 25. But me and my husband work so they had to deliver on the weekend. So they said Sunday the 24 from 8 am to 12 pm. They didn't deliver until 4:40 pm... Every time I would call they would tell me something different. I would never buy from this store again. No one apologize. They made my week very stressful.

I visited several furniture stores before I chose Ashley's. I purchased the Wilcox Sofa with Chaise. The first sofa I chose there was an issue with being delivered. It was taking longer than expected to receive, so was offered to come back to store and then chose this Wilcox. Big mistake! My furniture was delivered 4/16/2016. Only set on the chaise about 3 times, and noticed knots picking up on the side of it. Then inspected the other pillows and found a big huge knot on the pillow which was very noticeable! I contacted the sales representative, who directed me to the customer service mgr. I was told that type of furniture was made to look rough after sitting on it! I could not believe that someone would on purpose purchase a sofa and knew it would look like you had owned it for years and only had it for a week today!
Customer service mgr. said she would forward my pictures I emailed her to the mobile store mgr. And customer service mgr. told me the more we sit on the sofa the rougher looking it would become! And I informed her my husband was twice as big as me, what will happen to the look in two weeks when he sits on it? I contacted the mobile store mgr. before he had a chance to contact me. He offered that I come in to look for another style, which I did go in. Well I was reluctant to purchase anything else because of this challenge with this one. So I did see one I liked and was told I would have to add more money! No way I would give you more money and it's been about 2 months in finally settling to receive this current poor quality sofa then now it's no good.
Then the sales representative suggested that I go to Michael's and purchase some type of foam to put in the cover of the pillows and they would give me a $200.00 store credit towards my next purchase. Sounds good to you to do that but not to me! I go purchase these items then that doesn't work what's next? Money challenge from spending there at Michael's then back to square one. Store manager was very professional and concerned to help, but the young lady at customer service who processed my refund had an attitude!
From all the issues and challenges from the beginning I should have not been asked to pay the difference on anything within reason! I spent gasoline money to come back to the stores, and to return items at other stores I purchased to match this sofa! You going to give me $200.00 store credit but want me to spend money at Michael's to accommodate your poor quality furniture! And want me to add an additional up to $300.00 for another sofa that's an issue to me! After processing my refund I was told they would pick up the furniture next Saturday. Well I knew that was not true! Well they made a special trip to pick it up today! No problem though, it's theirs again! I will not shop there again for anything! And do not, I repeat do not purchase anything made by Wilcox! Poor quality material! On my next purchase anywhere else I will do research first on the company and brand of the furniture!

Their sales and production description is totally false and quality of sofa is not worth for the price paid. When we contacted third party warranty company, they are reluctant to inspect the sofa and the customer service was rude. I have raised the complaint with BBB and awaiting for the resolution. My suggestion to all is simply avoid Ashley even if this in your back yard, if you buy anything there it is putting money in garbage or drainage.

Approximately 5 years ago I purchased a DuraBlend sofa loveseat chair and ottoman that are made by Ashley. I love the look and feel it has BUT the quality of material is very poor!! For about the last 3 years the material has continuously gotten worse by cracking and peeling so bad I have to keep a cover over it to be presentable. We are a retired couple early 60s with no children or grandchildren nor pets in the house and the last year we weren't home maybe 4 months!
I feel this furniture has not held up to what it should have with no more than it's been used. Based on the wear of the material I will not purchase another Ashley living room furniture nor probably any other product made by them! Price paid compared to length of use, I am in the hole. If my husband and I were hard on furniture or had rambunctious children I might would understand the wear but that's not the case here. Now I need to replace living room furniture that should still be good but I was informed by Ashley that there was only a 1 yr warranty on the material. I am including pictures of how bad it's worn.

Bought a living room suit, as well as a sectional for the basement. When the furniture arrived, the sectional was just too big for the space. Not all Ashley Furniture's fault as I could have measured the space beforehand. I called and asked if there was any way to exchange it, or for them to take it back and offer in store credit and I'd be happy to pay any re-stocking fees. I have several more furniture items to buy (dining room and bedroom suits) and was willing to commit my business to them. The girl that answered was great and said they would be willing to work something out as my proposal sounded very reasonable... Then no one calls back, and when I finally do get in touch with them their tune changes and they said, "Too bad, you're stuck with what you got". After returning to Ashley, not dealing with my first salesman, I found all prices had changed, not for the better. After listening to the sales pitch it suddenly became clear to me, a good deal brought me to Ashley and when I decided to purchase the good deal changed. It arrived today damaged and advised it would take two weeks to replace. The leather couch that was damaged appeared to be of very poor quality. The leather was very thin and cheap. When the delivery person suggested we keep the damaged piece until the replacement arrived, we were advised by customer service that this was not an option.
If we kept the damaged piece, they would only repair it. We then went to the store where we purchased the furniture and were simply told that it was company policy. There was no attempt to make anything right for our inconvenience etc. This was aggravated by the fact that I had to leave work to address this issue. In 2010, as a disabled senior, I spent all of my money on gorgeous-looking furniture for my entire household, with expectations that it would last for the rest of my life. Every day spent with this furniture has been so miserable, so depressing, so unhealthy... that it has taken me till now to even have the strength to complain. Within the first 12 to 24 mos, green mold appeared, especially on the back of each piece and inside all drawers, which I've never been able to use. I could only assume that -- because it was all made in China -- that it was a product similar to Chinese drywall.
Shortly thereafter, most legs began falling off couch & dressers. Bed canopy broke. All fabrics began to peel off in pieces, which I have to vacuum off the floor on a regular basis. The thousands of dollars' worth of furniture looks like it's 15 to 20 years old. None of it is even real wood; it appears instead to be man made laminate that peels off and has to be superglued back in place!?!
Tried to sell a few pieces in a recent garage sale, but no one would pay any price. Depression caused me to throw away receipts last year, so I may have to go back to the north Naples store to retrieve copies. I had to layaway all 15 pieces of bedroom, living room & dining room furniture. I just did not know where to turn, in order to deal with the problems... till I got brave enough to check other reviews today, for the 1st time. It is all worthless; sadly, I'll NEVER be able to replace it on Social Security for the rest of my life.

I went to the Ashley Furniture sale "buy one get one free". I was met at the door by a salesperson who showed us to sofas. The sofas I was looking at averaged $1K. I was told by the salesperson that the $1K price was if you wanted to "buy one get one free". However, if you only wanted to buy the sofa it was only 1/2 the price on ticket. I was very unhappy as I thought this was a form of false advertising, but I was going to purchase the sofa anyway. I asked the salesperson if he would get me the corporate phone number so I could voice my frustration with the sale. While I was waiting, I remembered that there were 2 corporate reps at the store. I went over to speak with DJ ** and another gentleman, Pete **. While I was speaking in the direction of both men, DJ was the one who stood in front of me smirking.
I began to explain my frustration with what I explained was a form of false advertising. DJ told me there was nothing wrong with this sale as it is at the sales person's manager's discretion to extend the 1/2 half off the single piece of furniture. I told him I thought it was a ** sale and I thought it was very unfair to consumers. DJ and I exchanged a few more examples on why and why not the sale was bogus. Then DJ called me an ** based on what I had said. I was shocked. I agreed that I had stated that this was a ** sale and that was out of line, but for a corporate rep to stand in front of a customer smirking and then calling that person and **. I did not directly associated the ** with him personally.
I am appalled that a professional rep from a company would treat a person as I was treated let alone call a customer an **. Needless to say I did not order the sofa. After going online when I returned home, I understand why people are so dissatisfied with Ashely Furniture and am glad I did not purchase the furniture from them.

My husband and I purchased a power recliner sofa at Ashley Furniture January 2016. It was $1100 and was delivered 3 weeks after purchase. We also purchased the 5 year service plan, thank goodness! When the couch was delivered, I noticed stains on one of the recliner cushions. I called customer service and they said they would send new fabric. The couch had not even been sat on - so I refused and asked for a replacement. I was told that is not their policy. I sent photos, and made several phone calls - all I was offered was to send someone to "repair the problem."
Since it was a recliner cushion that was attached, it would have to be entirely reupholstered, and why should a new couch need that? I felt the couch was damaged to begin with, so again asked for replacement. I finally obtained a replacement by going to speak with the manager at the store of purchase. We then waited close to a month for removal of the stained couch, and delivery of the new one. Within 2 weeks, the power recliner on the left side stopped working, and was stuck in the up position. No one heavy, no children, no abuse, just sitting in the chair this happened. Again, I went through hoops, sending photos, proving that the electricity outlet worked, etc. Finally a repairman came and removed the motor, put the recliner in the down position, and ordered a new motor. Really? After 2 weeks.
I wish I had read reviews of both the furniture and the customer service at Ashley. I have bought discount furniture that was better quality. And the customer service was mostly putting me off. Instead of giving one star for service, I will give it two stars, because we actually got a new couch to replace the damaged first couch. That was damaged when it was delivered - stains on the cushion that looked to someone or something had urinated on it. So it did get replaced. But really, should a new recliner need a new motor in two weeks? Seriously flawed furniture. Just a caution, read reviews of any furniture you purchase from anywhere, and read customer service reviews as well.

When I bought my furniture which was a beautiful leather sectional, I was told that I might need to think about getting the 5-year protection plan. I asked the saleslady that the contract that I was holding in my hand, would it cover discoloration, tears and punctures. She assured me that it did. After finding out that I could not pick my time or day of delivery and having to fight for two weeks on what day and what time on the day of the delivery I was told I was not getting the complete order. I was only getting one piece of the order - the loveseat. The couch was on backorder for another two weeks. When the loveseat was delivered it looked fine but after sitting in it and realizing that the reclining portion of the furniture would not stay reclined I called in for repair - some brand-new furniture already needs repaired not even 24 hours in the home then two weeks later same situation with the couch. It was brought into the home and had a tear in the arm and again was told there's nothing that the delivery men can do except call service department.
Now I have called service department and have been told several times that I had 30 days to decide whether I wanted to keep the furniture or return it. Now the story has changed. I can keep it as is and they can take $50 off the bill or keep it as is and have the man come out and repair but still pay them the full amount for the furniture. Who thinks it is fair to buy brand-new furniture and have to have it repaired immediately as it comes. You might as well deliver the furniture with a repairman in tow.
I have talked to three or four different people in customer service - everyone of them have promised me something but nobody has been able to deliver or will deliver. All I keep hearing is "I'm sorry that people have told you that but this is not our policy. Is this is what we do and if we are to come back to pick up the furniture it's going to cost you." I was having bedrooms painted and new carpeting installed in my home while I was traveling on a month-long family obligation trip overseas. Before I left, I wanted to purchase a headboard, footboard and nightstand, so that I could install them into my new bedroom immediately upon my return. I went to the Medford, OR, Ashley showroom and spoke to a salesperson who showed me a floor model with a Blue Dot and President's Day Special price of 50% off the prominently displayed, written retail price of $1,848. I was told that the model was discontinued and that it may have a few minor marks. I inspected the bed, which did have a few minor marks, but I'm OK with that.
The bed was set up in the showroom with short (about 4 foot) side rails that were not the original parts. I assumed that it was a space-saving method. I did not see the original side rails. None of the other 15 or so beds were displayed in this short bed manner. I authorized a charge to my credit card of $973; which included a $50 delivery charge. The store is 4.7 miles from my home. I stressed the need for speedy delivery, as I was about to leave on my trip. 5 days later I had not heard anything. The receptionist stated that she had not had e-mail confirmation for the delivery.
The bed was delivered finally, 7 days after I purchased it. I was asked, by the drivers, to inspect the beds side rails which were gouged. Although there was obvious damage, I reluctantly accepted that; as I thought that I had got a good deal on pricing. Then I looked at the invoice. It stated that the bed was sold as is/no warranty. The no warranty clause was NOT disclosed during the sales process. I went to the Ashleyfurniturehomestore.com site and put in the part numbers- The bed (B695) is not only a current model; but is priced at full retail price of $999 (on sale, right now, for $849 99). The nightstand (B695-93) is also a current model and is priced at full retail price of $369.99 (on sale for $314.99).
The brand-new, full warranty included price for the items (that I saw listed at the store for $1,848) is actually $1,368.99! I was sold damaged, no warranty, discontinued floor models for just 17% ($214) less than the cost of undamaged, brand new, fully warranted items. Neither price includes shipping costs. After a conversation with the store manager, Julie, who explained that: the Ashley website does not update in a timely manner, and that it does not show that the items listed are actually discontinued. The sales person was doing her job when she failed to disclose the no warranty terms; as the store OWNER has a set policy of removing warranties on ALL marked-down items.
Julie did not offer an explanation as to why the display bed was setup without the damaged side rails in the store. When I suggested that many of these trade practices are illegal; Julie went on the defensive, snapping at me that she would arrange to have the bed picked up, because she would not be spoken down to like that. After refusing to adjust the pricing, in any way, as she could not compete with online pricing, (even for her OWN STORE?) I accepted her suggestion that the store would come and pick the bed up on, Saturday, the day before I leave.
The charge has since been reversed on my credit card. So why the negative feedback? If I catch someone stealing from me; confront them; and they then return the goods; it still does NOT mean that theft has not occurred. There are several illegal and unethical practices involved in this transaction. Hopefully this review will serve as a warning to anyone planning on buying at any Ashley Furniture store.

I just wanted to order a bed from Ashley to fit my mattress and when it doesn't work out thanks to incorrect information one of their employees gave my wife and myself... They refuse to do a return to make it right and have greatly mishandled me even asking for them to do so... Here is what happened. I ordered a cal king mattress from another company. My wife found an Ashley bed online that said king/cal king headboard and the other pieces said king. Unsure about if a cal king would work we called customer service online and eventually was told this bed would work for either a cal king or king. So we thanked them and ordered the bed.
We received the bed before our mattress/box springs. It was home delivery and was installed for us by a crew of younger adults that were not very professional at all which I can normally accept as long as they do their job. They scared me when one of them screamed after a loud crashing sound. I checked on them to hear it was just a scare from the bed slamming down on my floor as they were throwing down pieces to assemble. This again worried me, but it was assembled and from what I could tell looked okay.
We received our mattress a few days after, but without the box springs it wouldn't have support and be too short. We had struggles with delivery of the box spring but finally got the delivery. I go to put the box spring on the bed and it is clear that the bed is a few inches too short for it to fit in any way. I assumed there must be some way to assemble the bed differently to fit the cal king since the person on the phone told my wife it would fit this size. So because attempting to try anything more we called Ashley customer support back and told them the situation. A man on the phone was very understanding and said we could return the bed. He said he had to get authorization to allow for a pick up at our home of the product and would do so then call us back.
We never got a callback. So after two bad phone experiences I now tried to email customer support. I received a response from support saying "It appears the fulfiller has been contacted and asked to contact you to return this order. Please let me know if they haven't contacted you." Well... They hadn't contacted me. So I tried to email this support person back to say this. I then a day later got a response from a different support person in email saying "Per the fulfiller of the item, they will not take it back as the item that was delivered is the item that was ordered." I have never had such bad customer service all around in any of my experiences with any company.

We were "hounded" by local management to get the warranty however, refused several times. I stated that didn't bode well for the quality... After consulting with another employee, he said he would give it to us and lower our price by that same amount. Basically the store wanted the money from the warranty is the only thing we could think of... The store called us after 6 weeks and said, "The sofa is in however, the recliners didn't make it." We were asked if we wanted a partial delivery or wait and get everything at once. We opted for everything, after all they had our money! At 8 weeks and 4 days, we got a call for delivery. Am nervous now that I have read the ratings about the quality issue. Time will tell and another posting will be shared.

I purchased a couch 3/01/2016, paid cash then later in the day found something I liked better at another store. According to their policy I have 48 hrs for full refund. I cancelled on the 2nd today is the 21st still have not received my refund. Because I paid cash I had to wait for a check which was cut on the 11th... This is insane to have to wait this long for a refund. Nowhere in the policy does it say you have to wait weeks... I'll never do business with them again...

It's been a comedy of errors at this point. We bought my daughter an entire bedroom set in May of 2014. They gave us a delivery window of 10-2. Long story short, they showed up at 7pm. I missed a very important family event because they didn't leave from setting up my furniture until after 8. Fast forward to October 2015, we needed a new sofa and decided to look there again. We fell in love with the style and price of a power reclining sofa.
In mid January, a lumbar support popped out. I immediately started calling for a repair. I was given 3 different numbers to reach someone regarding a repair and left messages. No one called me back. 2 weeks later, after several more calls, the Furniture Doctors, who they use, stated they couldn't get to our area for 2 weeks. So that's a full month without being able to sit on one side of our sofa. I called the store manager, John at Plymouth Meeting, who was the first person to say anything about the inconvenience, decided he was going to just replace it. The new sofa was delivered on February 14th.
Fast forward to March 7th. I reclined it for the first time to take a nap. My rear end fell through because there was such a huge gap between the seat and the back. I called repair again... I had the right number this time, and sent pictures of the issue. They promised a call within 3 days. A week and a half later, 4 calls to their "customer service" line, and a few calls back to the store, I get John again. The new sofa arrives on Wednesday. I have his word that if I have a single issue, he will refund my money. Never, never, never again.

DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE! They are an incompetent company whose systems (finance, delivery, service) don't talk to one another and no one knows what's going on. They use cut-rate 3rd party contractors for delivery and service, why are less than reputable. They don't know how the furniture works and fake the paperwork when they forget a step. I've been fighting with this company since January to get a furniture exchange and then repair when their delivery guys broke the furniture. I've spent over 10 hours on the phone trying to get things fixed. They never follow through on calling back, they refuse to refund my money and take their furniture back despite numerous agreements that they have totally dropped the ball.
I've wasted my time sitting at home for the last two Saturdays waiting for delivery, which was confirmed by text, phone, and email, only to be told something mysteriously cancelled the order. I had to reschedule several things at work for service guys who don't show up. And their Customer Care department is a joke. They have no desire to keep you as a customer, but will do the bare minimum related to your order. Be careful if you choose to work with them. If I were retired, I might actually picket in front of their store to keep people from going in. I've never seen such mismanagement and poor customer service... Ever.

We have been dealing with a Hybrid Simmons mattress defect for over 30 days now. When you attempt to call the store or the customer care team, no one will help you. The store refused to let me speak to a manager or provide me contact information for anyone that can help me. The mattress was delivered defective and the delivery team did not care. I called, had to wait another week to have the mattress inspected and then still no one contact me. I then contacted them myself to follow up. They stated that they would not do anything for me and that I was instructed to just wait. The entire right side of the mattress is sunken in and rolls you off of the bed.
I have called every week for over a month and no one will help me. I don't know what to do other than inform people of the poor customer service and show how Ashley will claim how they have a satisfaction comfort guarantee for mattresses, but will never deliver because they will not address the concern before the time runs out. That way, they won't have to do anything except for take your money and never provide customer service. I will never purchase anything ever from Ashley Furniture again and I will make sure people that I know will not either.

I would not recommend purchasing anything from Ashley Furniture. I have purchased well over $15,000 worth of furniture from them for business and personal use in the last 6 years. All of the furniture was either for personal or commercial use. The furniture I purchased for my business use fell apart (backs breaking off bar stools to the back of the couch corner breaking off). I called for repair under the extended warranty and was informed the extended warranty did not cover commercial use. However, I specifically asked the question to the sales rep who said it was covered regardless if the furniture was purchased for commercial use. I purchased the extended warranty in good faith based in the information from the sales rep. Once I was informed it was not covered due to commercial use, I asked the extended warranty company for a refund. I was referred to the store, the store said a check would be mailed.
Three years later and dozens calls no refund... I finally gave up! I purchased bedroom and living room furniture at the same time. The living room furniture had had several repairs due to motor failure in the recliners on top of months being on BO before delivery. The furniture now cannot be repaired after 6 months (August - January) of waiting to see what would happen and calling for information. The extended warranty company agreed to replace for the cost of original set or a prorated refund. We agreed to replacement, picked out new set and paid the addition fees. It is now over 6 weeks, 5 sofas later and still no sofa. Every leather sofa so far has been damaged (ripped) somewhere on the piece. Leather should not be that easy to damage.
So now I am assuming the sales rep misrepresented the $2k piece of furniture and it's actually a man-made leather instead of the leather I asked for. They have been dishonest before to make a sale, why not now. If you want good quality furniture that is delivered without damage and during a reasonable timeframe, don't shop at Ashley Furniture. So disappointed in Ashley Furniture! My family hasn't been able to sit together in the family room for over 6 weeks! Now the fun part of multitude of phone calls to see if anyone can correct this issue since the sales rep and store manager have not been able to resolve the issue so far! Update 7 hours later from corporate response. I sent my intact information 7 hours ago and still no one from corporate has called me. They could care less about customer satisfaction! Buyers beware and don't purchase anything you can't carry out of the store yourself!

Ok so I needed to purchase a new couch. I went to Ashley furniture and picked out a very pretty couch. I was given a delivery date and at that point I asked if delivery is going to be on time only because I had bought a couch from them years ago and had a delivery issue. I was told by store manager they no longer have delivery issues. I was assured it would be on time. THEY LIED!!! First I got a call and was told it would be 2 days late. I was not happy because I had worked very hard to clear out my living room to make sure it was ready for delivery and I took off work to be there for that date of delivery. Then I got another call yet another date change and then they say they can only deliver half of my sectional this week and next week they will deliver other half.
I was so mad that I asked if I can just cancel delivery and get my money back. I was told no I could not and she was very rude about it. I have kids. We had to sit on the floor until yesterday and we have half a couch and won't get other half until next week. I mean really WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!!! And I have to take yet another day off work. I am a single mother with no help. I can't afford to take off. Don't they care about their customers?

About 4 months ago we purchased a new home and furnished it with Ashley Furniture. We bought a three piece sectional, side table, and dining room set with 6 chairs. We thought we were buying quality furniture as well as several others who have given their reviews. We spent a great deal of money. After 2 months, the sofa looks like it is 10 years old. Now mind you, we have no pets, no children and never eat in our living room. We work all day and only sit on the furniture for a few hours in the evening for television. All of the back cushions are sunken in, the seat cushions have coil springs creating waves and look ready to pop through. The leather lining is crooked and just poorly made. I expect this entire thing will fall apart before the year is over.
Our last sofa/living furniture was purchased from the Leather Center. I sold it after 14 years and it still looked new. What a disappointment and waste of money this has been. DO NOT waste your hard earned money. I know it looks nice and you think you are getting a good deal. YOU ARE NOT. Your furniture will fall apart shortly and your money will be gone. Read every review you can find on other furniture stores and make the best decision you can. This is not the quality of furniture you expect.

A different manager lied to corporate and said she has nothing saying that. We've lost multiple days from work at a brand new job trying to get furniture that isn't damaged. They damaged my house, which still isn't repaired. Called me day of a delivery to cancel because they didn't have the item, then call me an hour and a half later to tell me they're coming so we end up going to work and having to leave. Expensive, low quality furniture, that seems to always be delivered late. First sign on its poor quality was when screws started coming loose on all dining chairs. Bed boards whose finish started peeling within a month of delivery; a box spring delivered with a hole that was never fixed. Delivery folks nearly ripped some pieces trying to force them through a door too small. Their furniture is delivered to them in pieces, IKEA style, and put together at the local warehouse. Mine still had all the numbering labels on them. Bottom line, a ripoff. First and last time I do business with them.

A little over two years ago I bought a living room set, including a TV. I spent just under $4000.00. Within six months I had to have them come out because one of the legs broke off the couch. Soon after I noticed my $450.00 coffee table was chipping and scratches everywhere. The springs were also poking through my chair, which hardly ever gets used. The guy comes back out here and puts a patch on the chair, needless to say that lasted only a short time before the springs started coming through again. I then mentioned how it's been under a year and the cushions are already sinking in. Apparently that's not covered under their expensive warranty.
The TV is still working but if you want to watch a movie or Netflix you have to have the volume all the way up and sometimes you still can't hear your show well. My furniture... ALL 7 pieces are COMPLETE JUNK!!!! I just went out and bought a whole new furniture set with another company. They even sell Ashley and the lady told me to stay clear of buying Ashley because the quality is bad. She didn't even know my experience. This crap is going to the curb with a big FREE sign on it!!!!

On Feb. 9th my sister drove to Concord NC from Virginia Beach for one specific reason to purchase new furniture for us as a Christmas gift. She was planning to come sooner but I was too ill to have company. The reason she was buying the furniture is our medical issues no longer allow us to sit on normal sofas and chairs or sleep in a normal flat bed due to serious life-threatening medical conditions and medical equipment we need to use.
We researched many different stores in the area products and picked 3 stores to visit with the style numbers, cost, sale price, and photos of the furniture stored in our phones and iPads. It is very difficult for me to shop and walk through these big stores causing me to be in pain with a back fracture from osteoporosis. I was dizzy and winded. We chose a reclining chair and reclining sofa from your store. We also looked at a cabinet and coffee and end tables that the breathing machines, BiPAP machine and oxygen could be stored in but at that point wanted to research that further. Your store was NOT THE CHEAPEST, and the color was a little of what we needed but to be supportive of our medical issues we felt it was the most stable. Our second choice was Rooms to Go. They were giving a free flat screen and we would have had the furniture in days.
On February 13th the furniture was purchased, invoice number ** paid for in full debit card, plus $129.99 delivery fee. We asked for next week delivery. They said it would be March 5th delivery date UNLESS WE WANTED TO GO PICK IT UP OURSELVES indicating it was available. We told the person at the desk in the store and the sales person that the furniture was being purchased because of medical need and we were trying to make the appropriate changes necessary as soon as possible.
Another disappointing issue at your store is the sales person tried not to give us the sale price, she started to write it up at full price. I said what price we had from our research. She said "oh the Internet price is different than in the store." Also we were under the impression from the advertisements for Presidents Day there was additional percentage off but she said NO we got the Internet advertised price so would be no Presidents Day Sale price. Our sales person did not wait on us at all. We went through the whole store, sat in DOZENS of chairs and sofas we had to find because we had researched the styles of reclining furniture and they are scattered throughout the whole store. We sat in the furniture we decided to purchase for about a half an hour before we had to get her to come over to us to write up the sale.
So we altered the color of the living room wall's paint and new floors slightly to accommodate the color difference of the furniture we picked from your store. They came and did the floors and painted, took out the 3 year old furniture that we can no longer sit in because of medical issues. Since February 18th we have had to sit in a travel wheelchair and a decorative chair, both of which are very uncomfortable especially with our medical conditions especially with a back fracture from osteo.
March 5th we had everything else moved out of the living room and off the porch in preparation for the delivery. No furniture came. No call, nothing so we called them and was told delivery was changed to March 11th which I had a Dr. appointment schedule that day. I changed otherwise it would be another week! March 10th got a call no furniture. They said the sofa was not in from the manufacturer, rescheduled now for March 18th.
I called customer service, spoke with a girl, told her the problem we were having and her first reaction was "I will be happy to cancel your order"??? I told her we have been living, sitting in a wheelchair for weeks. My sister who bought us the furniture as a Christmas gift lives in Virginia Beach and starting over having to walk through stores again is not a option. She said we would be compensated for all our trouble and she was sending a email stating my concerns and that we would be compensated. NEVER GOT A EMAIL! She also said whoever told us we could pick up the furniture ourselves lied at the store and all furniture is made to order as purchased. Not what is says on the pamphlet and not what was told to us at the store they said it was available!
First the $129.99 my sister paid for this delivery needs to be refunded. Secondly I think that the end tables and cabinet we looked at to keep the breathing machines, bipap and oxygen in should be a gift after all the suffering and very poor service. What is really sad is my sister also picked out a new recliner and a dining room set while she was there and said she would order it at the Virginia Beach store near her home so you have lost another sale!

My husband and I went into Ashley for new furniture on 2/19/16 and ended up purchasing both a loveseat and a couch and the only expectation that was set for us was 2-6 weeks. I understand these things take time and that order times change. I really do. However, it's not my job, as the customer, to know the manufactures schedules or that they chose to move a date back or forward but according to the manager of this location it was. I called the first time about 2 weeks or so, on a Friday, after I paid them a considerable amount of money and was told that the pieces would be there by the end of the following week. Fine. I can deal with that. I gave away my own couch so that we would definitely be ready for the delivery when it came. I have 2 small children so going without a couch for a week... well it was hectic.
By the end of the following week, I called again to get an update and I was at lunch from work so I asked to be called back at MY phone # as soon as was possible. I never got a callback. Instead, they called my husband and told him what was going on. This was last week. They then told my husband that we would have the loveseat today 3/15/16 and the couch on March 23rd. At this point, I was frustrated but at least we had a date. So, I called today to see what time the loveseat would be delivered and I was informed that it's not supposed to be delivered to them until tomorrow and the couch would get there March 27th and we would get it the week after. I spoke to the manager, who was rude and showed no empathy to my situation, and he said he will check with the warehouse to see what can be done.
If I had never called I wouldn't know anything. He told me he would call me back and again I asked to be called on MY phone # again and this manager repeated it back to me 2 times and still I didn't get a callback. They once again called my husband. I just don't get it. Right now all we know is that the loveseat should be delivered Friday morning.
I don't feel that this company cares about anything but themselves. How can you justify acting this way? I personally work in customer service and the most important thing is to set an expectation. Yes, Ashley Furniture, you did set a 2-6 week expectation in the very beginning. However, you told us the furniture would be delivered in 2-3 weeks or up to 6 weeks if the furniture was damaged. Never in my life have I ever had to endure such nonsense from a business. All I have to say at this moment is that word of mouth is a powerful thing and so is social media and I am fully aware of how to use it.

Just about 3 years ago my family remodeled our home and furnished it with Ashley Furniture. We bought a three piece sectional (with a chaise lounger), a side table and lamps, and a 10 person dining room table and 8 chairs. We thought we were buying quality furniture that would last and grow with our family. We spent a lot of money. Unfortunately, we were wrong. After just a year our couch was ruined. All the cushions were sunken in and the lining/piping were misaligned and just ugly. The actual fabric on cushions were creating little 'balls' of fabric. After just a year, we had to purchase a new couch from Macy's. The Ashley Furniture couch is now our 'basement' couch and never used. The only thing Ashley Furniture would do is send me a new chaise cushion (mind you, the other cushions don't come off). It's been two years since we've had our couch from Macy's and it still looks like new.
We are now in the market for a new dining room table. Just after 3 years, the finish is coming off, there is a broken leg, and the chairs constantly have to be tightened. The first time we tightened one of the legs on table, it stripped. Buttons on the chairs keep coming off. Warning... If you are thinking about buying anything from Ashley Furniture, please think twice. Their products are not high quality and you will end up spending more money in just a few years!

Thinking about ordering furniture from ASHLEY'S, DON'T!!! Terrible Company to order furniture from! Would highly recommend using a different company other than Ashley's. I walked into a store in Texas on FEB. 2, 2016 and ordered a single chair and a few other smaller items and was told I would receive the chair in 2-3 weeks. It's been a month now and have not got update or a single phone call on an update of my order. I have had to make every call and ask for updates and according to our oh so great representatives I will have to wait TWO more months. Thanks for the update that the item was on backorder when I ordered it.
I tried asking for a refund and now i have to pay a restocking fee even though the chair has not even been made yet or shipped or anywhere near Texas (BS!!). I understand that items are on backorder but thanks for keeping me informed at least a single heads up on the progress of my order. But it's really stupid most of their stores don't have warehouses so you have to pay for delivery. Terrible customer service too. I was lied to about about delivery dates and then I get treated like crap when I want a refund cause magically my item is on backorder. It was not on backorder when I ordered it or I wouldn't have ordered it. Thinking about ordering furniture from ASHLEY'S, DO NOT DO IT.

We purchased a sofa, chair and ottoman electric recliner, executive desk and matching chair. We waited a week for delivery and when it did come the sofa wasn't on the truck and the chair wasn't the color we ordered. Had to argue with the delivery guys to put it back on the truck because that isn't what we ordered. I called the store cancelled the sofa, chair and ottoman as they said it would be at least a month before they could have it to us. This would take us over Christmas with company coming over the holiday.
So we went and bought another living room set off an independent store here in Mt Vernon and it was delivered the same day and was right. BUT we were sucked into their 5-year insurance policy to cover the recliner, desk and chair. Fourteen months down the road the top of the chair broke away from the bottom, not at any pre-joining spot and it tilted to left quite a bit.
So today I called customer service with (5 year) policy in hand and explained what was wrong with the chair and where I take it to have it fixed. The woman on the other end told me that the chair was only covered for a year and that I could purchase another one to match the desk if I wanted to. Needless to say I explained to her what she could do with their insurance policy and it isn't where the sun shines. We will never purchase anything from Ashley's again and would discourage anyone else from doing so as well.

I hope this review keeps someone from making the same mistake I did. I purchased from Ashley Furniture (the Olympia, Washington location) 5 MONTHS ago and I have yet to receive my refund. I purchased one thing (which comes with an all-too-long process of filling out forms) and I was told it would ship out in 3-5 business days. I was somewhat surprised that they had to ship it vs. having such a small item in stock but I walked away overall happy.
Fast forward 2 weeks, I go in and ask about my order, I had been told that a shipping code would be emailed to me and I had yet to hear anything. The gal at the desk said it could take 7-10 days to ship, after I mentioned it had already been two week she revised her number to 3-4 weeks. "Come back in after four weeks, if it hasn't shipped!" she says.
Four weeks pass and I go back, same routine. They don't know what is happening and there is nothing they can do because it is in the distributors hands now. And the dates have changed. It can now take 4-8 weeks to ship an order. "And" they kindly informed me "We placed the order 5 days after your purchase, so you will also need to keep that in mind for the time frame." Eight weeks after I purchased a simple comforter set, I return. Finally the sales associate does something and emails the distributor. And I am promised a phone call the following day, by 8 pm to let me know if anything has or hasn't happened. Oh, how hopeful and naive I was. No phone call and a few days pass.
Again I return to the store (Trip #4, for those keeping count at home) and am met with "You do know, it can take 2-3 weeks for some orders to ship?" After gently encouraging her to look at the date of purchase (some 8 weeks ago), she lets me know there is nothing she can do. I ask to see her manager. And she let me know the store would be without a manager for another 3 hours, but she would let him know about it as soon as he got there! I left without answers, again. I returned four hours later and asked to see the manager (the same one who was supposed to handle my purchase problems) and was told he was on lunch break... After supposedly being on shift for an hour? But he was working on the issue and would call me as soon as he got back!
After being lied to about them calling me (which I mentioned, as well as my distrust of their phone use capabilities), I demanded my name and number be taken down on paper with a note to call me tonight. They promised up and down that they would call me by 8 pm that same day. Lo and behold 8 pm came and went without a phone call. I emailed Ashley Furniture's corporate headquarters and am told sorry, not sorry. There is nothing they can do, as this is a franchise. After 5 months, involving the BBB and the Attorney General's office, I finally have some answers (but no refund yet!).
No one from the store ever called me (after being promised update calls more than 4 times). On the 12th visit (10 weeks later) to the store they finally conceding that the item I purchased was discontinued, it was not and never will be shipped to me. But it is STILL on their sales floor, available for purchase! One of their associates 'Ash', sidled his way up to me and asked if he knew me from somewhere. I told him no. And he went away and came back with his personal phone number on a card, asked me if I believed in God and said that God would bring us together again. DISGUSTING behavior, Ashley is okay with their staff hitting on customers?
They offered me (after 10 weeks) a refund, minus a 're-stocking fee'. Or the floor model, IF I signed a contract for no returns, refunds or exchanges and accept any damage to the item (with a whooping 5% off for my hassle!). I requested a refund (finally talking them into subtracting the 'restocking fee'), which they informed me would come in the mail in 2-3 weeks (ha!). Two-three weeks came and went with no refund. The BBB (who has been dealing the corporate Ashley Furniture) contacted me, asking if I would like to close my complaint, to which I responded 'No, not until I have my refund'.
Then I received a call from one of their employees at corporate Ashley's. She left a message that they had received my rejection through the BBB and they had NO record of my refund. So no refund was pending. I called her back immediately (literally 2 minutes after she left a voicemail). She left me the phone number for the entire Ashley chain (with options like 'for payroll press 3' and 'for H&R press 7') but no extension number so I was bounced around and put on hold as they try and figure out who called me. They finally found the person who called and conveniently she already left work and was the only person able to handle my issue. So I left a message and was told she will call me back. No phone call back (surprise!).
She did contact me through the BBB (again, no phone call!) and let me know they had found my refund (finally!) and would forward it to accounting and it may be a few week. I have called her numerous times to try and talk with her but no return calls. Almost 5 months, lies, broken promises and terrible customer service and they are STILL holding my money hostage! On top of a total lack of communication, they act like I am massively inconveniencing them. I wish I had read even some of the reviews prior to purchasing from them.

The gentleman showed up, saw the problem ordered the part (when I asked about the "serious illness" he of course didn't know how sick he'd been). Two weeks later a package came and we called to set up an appointment. Finally got the gentleman back out to find it was the wrong part. New part ordered. Package came in yesterday - yep - wrong part! Of course can't get through to anyone on the phone. This is junk furniture at a pretty premium price. Nice showroom, which I guess threw us. Never again. Dismal cheap junk and horrid, HORRID customer service. The repair fellow has been quite nice.

Absolutely brutal customer service. Never again will I purchase anything here! The salespeople will tell you anything and lie to you to get you to make the purchase and once they have your money they couldn't care less about your experience with them. First of all, it took us 6 months to get our furniture (we purchased a dining set, a sectional and a chaise) when it should have taken a couple of weeks... Every time we talked to someone in customer service they had no answers for us. Then one of the pieces came damaged after all that time so they had to repair it. When we escalated our frustrations with the process to a manager in customer service they wouldn't do anything at all for us. Didn't even bother act like they cared.
Now two years later, the leather on our chaise lounge is cracking and peeling off terribly (this was something we were worried about but the salesperson said that this would never happen and sold us an extra warranty to cover it if it did). We are still within the warranty period but now I'm told that this isn't actually covered in the warranty like the salesperson said (again customer service doesn't care). We also bought the warranty because he said after the time period is up we get the money back as store credit. He didn't mention that it's a minimum $1000 purchase that it can be used against. Another loss because I will NEVER spend another dime with this company again. Save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere.

I purchased 3 entire bedroom sets, 1 for myself the other for my children which I had talk to the rep in reference to what I wanted something that would last and sturdy. Rep assured me that their products is well made and all that stuff they feed you and I understand that's a salesperson but then the rep proceed to tell me about the GREAT INSURANCE they had and all it would cover, and if they could not fix it they would replace it and reassured me it would cover all thing from manufacturing to accidental damage with no problems. All you have to do is call them and make your claim rep stress this over and over again so I was like made I should and did wrong move #2.
It was wrong move #2 because I should have never purchased my furniture from Ashley. Very poor and cheap quality. It did not hold up for even 6 month. Rails split, draws rails snap and so much more and this was their solid wood furniture!!! Now mistake #2 insurance. Everything the sales rep said lies. It took them forever to get someone out to my house. Cancel appointments after they scheduled with like 1 day notice or if I remember it may have been the same day they should have been there.
After trying to schedule it a few times then they come in for like 10 mins, take pic, no talking how things happen, no adjuster called for an explanation, assumed what happen and denied my claim. "Insurance company suck" and nothing Ashley Furniture said was true and I will never buy another thing from them ever. Purchase insurance again it just a racket to take extra money from people. Don't buy from Ashley Furniture and much less do not purchase the insurance. It not what they say!!!

Wow. I spent 12k on a bedroom set and mattress. Upon installation, the technician broke a drawer handle. He assured me they would mail me a new one within a few days. I even spoke to a rep on the phone who agreed with his timeline. Fast forward two months later and NUMEROUS calls about this handle. I am told by customer service that it won't ship for another 3 weeks (apparently it is on backorder) and they will send me a $50 gift card.
I literally laughed out loud! She then proceeded to ask me if I could open the drawer above the one without the handle, stick my hand in and open it that way!! What??? I will NEVER use Ashley again. In fact, we just purchased bedroom furniture for my daughter last night and even with that ridiculous gift card, we used another store. We bought over $10,000.00 in furniture for our new home, we would probably have better service and quality by going to a Goodwill shop. On Feb 14, 2016, we purchase a bedroom set, a 4 piece entertainment center, a leather sofa and love seat recliners. It is now March 1st and we still have not received our complete order due to damage furniture being delivered and returned. One of the piers on the entertainment center was missing a light socket, the hardware was missing and the tv stand was scratch. We pay an extra $130.00 for premium delivery which we did not received as the delivery people did not assemble our furniture and they did not deliver all parts for us to even do it. We also paid an extra $100.00 for power reclining and again the delivery people did not bring cables so we can't use the recliners as such.
We have yet another attempt to deliver a new couch (3rd time trying to get one that is not damaged) and instead of bringing the cables for the sofa they are mailing them to us and it will take up to three weeks. Mind you we are an hour away from their warehouse. Customer service is a joke, we have to send pictures every time, they claim they don't have them even though we have a confirmation print out. We won't receive the tv stand until after March 17. The delivery people can't barely pick up the furniture so they keep damaging it, they are supposed to inspect at the warehouse per the premium delivery but they don't, is all junk.
I wish I had research them a little better, we would have not bought anything from them. I wish I had seen these reviews earlier. Every single one I read is pretty close to our experience. It is just they way they do business! Never again and I will make sure everyone I know hears about them, eventually the Better Business Bureau will have to take action against them.

The customer service department would not allow us to speak with anyone over manager and the manager did not honor her word. We have emailed the board of directors and received a response that they will not credit us or take back furniture. They require we take another delivery. Further the person representing himself as a board of director said that the owner of the store viewed the furniture and that we should accept it because they have a disclaimer in the store that says it won't be perfect and that the condition it has been delivered in is acceptable. The delivery guys knocked a hole in my wall, broke a nice candle on trying to get it down the hall in which they had plenty of room. Nothing said to them about it. When they set it up they couldn't get the drawers to line up with the footboard of the bed so they said they would have to bring a new one back when they brought the end table. We said OK. After they left, my husband noticed that the footboard was also cracked, and the glue was stuck thick in the headboard of the bed in the seams and the wood was chipped and peeling.
We immediately called the service number and spoke to a guy who said he would order a new one and it would arrive with the footboard and night stand. They delivered it on Jan. 14th. And my husband inspected it while still on the truck. Nightstand OK. It was brought in. The footboard and headboard was worse than the original one in the house. It had more glue and more chips than the first one that I still have in the house. My husband said no to the delivery. Then we get a call from a customer service rep a few days later with a delivery time and she was very rude to us when we told her we needed delivery in the evening. She basically said to us that we had have someone here who could accept this furniture because they weren't going to accommodate us any longer. We told her no and that she would fulfill our satisfaction or we were going to hire a lawyer.
She was very nasty and said she would have someone call us and hung up. We got a call on Feb. 4th and said they could deliver at 5PM. When they got here again my husband checked the truck and inspected the furniture again and absolutely could not believe it. Even the delivery guys couldn't believe it. They even took pictures. The headboard's post was completely broken off at the top and chipped all over. It was awful. More glue spread on the cracks holding it together. This is a nightmare and if you call customer service you talk to a bunch of stupid people that refuse to try to help you. I am scheduled for the 4th delivery this Thursday, Feb. 12th, 2016. Purchased a king bed frame, headboard, footboard, etc. from Ashley Furniture in Fargo, ND. Walked the showroom with the salesperson while they showed me every option. Told the salesperson that I wanted one I looked at on the floor because I wanted the storage option (pullout drawers on both sides, exactly like the floor model). I asked the salesperson how much that would be in a king size. They left to check the price and returned to say it would be $634. I said great, let's ring it up. A week later when it arrived, I drove 25 miles to pick it up, brought it back home, carried it all in the house, removed the king size bed from our bedroom to begin assembling the frame. Opened it up and realize it's a scaled down version with just regular side rails, no storage. I called the salesperson and politely explained I didn't receive what I had ordered.
The salesperson immediately admitted fault and then said "well, we can get you what you ordered, but it'll be another $260." I explained again politely that I didn't believe I should have to pay additional money for something I was told I was receiving for the original price because I would've never purchased the frame in the first place had I known it would be $1,000. The salesperson agreed and told me the manager would call me back in about 10 minutes with a solution. 2 hours later the salesperson calls back and says they will offer it for $130. At this point it's not about money, it's about proper business practice. I again asked to speak with the manager. The salesperson said "the manager is outside, he'll call you back in 5 minutes." Over an hour later, I called back to the store again after hearing nothing and asked to speak with a manager.
Finally, I get in contact with one and ask how they think it should be an acceptable solution to pay $130 for their mistake. The manager replies "it was an honest mistake". Agreed. I work in a commercial electrical field. If I go into a building and completely botch the install from what the customer asked for, I can't say yeah, I know it was all my mistake, but in order to do everything the way you wanted originally, I'm going to have to charge you more fees again. So this is after I've waited a week, driven 50 miles to bring it home, haul it in, got the runaround for another 6 hours, and even though the store will admit 100% fault, they still will not solve the issue in a professional manner. Admit you screwed up, own it, make sure your salespeople are properly trained and educated on the pricing, and try to prevent it from happening in the future. That's what all good business people do.
People make mistakes, very easy to do and I have no anger at all towards the salesperson, but easily made mistakes should be corrected easily by management. Not only do I think this is morally wrong in every way what they're doing, I also believe it is illegal. Just a friendly warning to people who have not shopped at this store, Slumberland, Furniture for Less, Unclaimed Freight Furniture, HOM, Zimmerman's. These stores all seem to have much better customer service and value the business of their customers. I guess I'm pretty old school. I remember when customer service was a priority for businesses in this country. Now there are a lot of young, inexperienced managers that are calling the shots and they don't get it. They only concern themselves with their salary, their commission, their time schedule. I made the mistake of giving this store a chance, a mistake that I will never repeat.

So we called the store back to see how we could return it and were told about the policy that all sales are final. I notified the individual that we were not told this in the store and she told me to check the receipt. I checked the receipt and on the printed credit card receipt (so the receipt that prints out AFTER the card is swiped) it says in small letters that there are no returns.
My husband called and spoke to a supervisor and was told that there is nothing we can do, we are stuck with this furniture that we do not like and that does not fit in our apartment. The salesperson also pitched an extended warranty that he said would cover damage to any part of the furniture including the leather (it was an extra $300). After 2 years the leather began peeling and flaking and the furniture looks terrible. The warranty company (Guardian) said they specifically do not cover peeling. I learned that a lower price can mean much lower quality and I learned to never buy the extended warranty as it is a bit of a scam. We never had these issues with La-Z-Boy...

I purchased 2 sofas from Ashley Furniture 4 months ago, and have been dealing with Customer Service ever since - the one sofa is a sectional, and has major wrinkles all over already, and the long cushion will not stay in place. The other sofa has discolored on a strip near the bottom of the sofa. We had to pay $50 for a technician to come and review. He stated that the one sofa looked like something was "bleeding" through, and the sectional did not have enough "stuffing" in the cushions. However, when he wrote his review, he told Ashley that everything was okay.
I also went to the store with the photos and they could not believe it - everyone was told that because the technician did not report anything, they will not help - although, I come to find out that the technician was supposed to call into Customer Service while at our home to discuss his findings and didn't. I have spent hours on this with no assistance at all, other than there is nothing they can do. Why do I have a one year warranty? How does this store get away with selling poor quality furniture and then treat their customers like this? We are out almost $3,000 - I am contacting an attorney and also taking this up with the Better Business Bureau. I spoke with them again this morning and was told that I would receive a call back in 10 minutes - that was over 2 hours ago - absolutely ridiculous!!

The furniture I bought from Ashley began peeling furniture so I contacted the warranty company GBS Warranty Services. Merrisa from GBS informed me that Ashley knowing sold me a warranty that they knew would not cover the furniture I bought from them (they only cover Top grain leather). This is after being told that the warranty covered "everything" including if a child urinated on it. I believe both Ashley and GBS warranty services are colluding to defraud consumers. Why did Ashley sell me the warranty knowing it would not cover the furniture I purchased that day? Why would GBS accept the warranty without knowing the type of furniture being purchased especially after I've had the warranty for 3 years?

My experience with Ashley Furniture went downhill from the day of delivery. The furniture was improperly assembled, loose, missing parts or damaged. The items that were purchase, a bedroom set, dining set and living room set. The dining set came with six chairs. All the cushions on the chairs had to be replace. The cushions had no support, you would sink when you sat down. Some of the chair frames had to be replaced because of dry rot or the legs were not level to the floor. To this day the chairs still come loose. For the living room set, all cushions from the loveseat and sofa and pillows were replaced, no support/firmness and the smell of mildew. The legs on the loveseat and chair came loose. Because they were drill in with sheetrock screws and not socket screws. The chair and sofa have pre-made holes For socket screws. For the bedroom set, about half of the drawers from the night stand to the dresses had to be replace.
The drawers were warp and or dry rotted. Because of the dry rot, I saw that the drawer were made of cardboard covered with wood. The tracks that the dresser glided on were dry rotted. And finally the dresser mirror. When assembled by the delivery crew, the wrong screws were used. The screw used was longer than the frame, which caused the wooden frame of the mirror to crack and splinter. This process of replacing parts, took almost a year to complete. Ashley Furniture never attempted to replace the item as a whole. Always sending contractors to replace part that were damage. Ashley Furniture also refused to replace the mirror until got a lawyer involved.

While the mirror I purchased seems to be fine, I had a very difficult time getting anyone to wait on me. I wandered the store looking for available salespeople, and finally had to ask the people at the front counter taking phone orders to find a salesperson for me. The manager finally assisted me, but he seemed a bit surly and uninterested in helping me. I will not return.

I've only had problems & this last one with no apology & nothing to really make it right. I never review companies, but this experience has been THE worst. My first order was delivered way past the date AND not everything came. Missing parts, one of the night stands, bar stools (5 of them) & a missing mattress pad. So they did give some in store credit for their mess up & let me get other bar stools since those seemed to not be coming.
Then the new bar stools arrive. We got the in home delivery with our bedroom set & bar stools but the reorder was not in home (but it was their mess up!). We pick them up & the guy in the back had opened the box to get stuff out of it & they took the wrong items out. Got home & am missing 2 of the 4 legs needed. They have to ship the legs to me from the shop in Wisconsin (2-4 week window!). They are also not very pleasant to speak with over the phone & will transfer you/put you on hold for long periods of time. Just say NO to Ashley Furniture & go elsewhere. Say NO to Ashley Furniture!!!

I purchased a "bonded leather" living room set from Ideal Furniture in Farmingdale, NY. After about 14 months I noticed the "leather" started to tear. It got worse very quickly. I went to store and they gave me a replacement fabric but I would have to pay a technician to install. I waited to see and it got worse and worse. I filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs on Long Island and lost because they offered me a replacement and the warranty was over. I then went to small claims court with another customer I found online not happy with her couch. I again lost because the warranty was over. I wish I read these reviews before I purchased this furniture. TOTAL GARBAGE. ANOTHER FINE PRODUCT FROM CHINA. DO NOT BUY ASHLEY PRODUCTS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Their leather is no good at all despite the amount of money you spend on it. Don't buy there because it peels with little use even if you take good care of it. It is defective and the insurance they tell you to get on the furniture does not cover what you think it does. We have a very nice home and we take pride in our furniture staying nice. Their leather products suck. Don't waste your money on it.

I hosted the family Christmas this year and we were forced to have everyone sit on lawn chairs or the floor because Ashley did not do what they told me they would do. It was finally delivered to me on January 15th. Everyone I dealt with at Ashley was professional and friendly as they lied to me and the delivery personnel were very professional. If the Salamanca was honest with me we would've purchased somewhere else where we would've definitely had delivery by Christmas. Unfortunately, I will have to hear the stories from now on about the "campsite Christmas" at my house in 2015. Thanks a lot Ashley.

Contemporary Two-Tone Alonzo Counter Butterfly EXT Dining Table: I purchased this table several months ago from Amazon. It arrived with a damaged butterfly leaf. I contacted the seller, regarding Ashley Furniture's warranty. The box wasn't damaged in any way. The rest of the table seemed fine. Since it looked fine upon arrival, we didn't notice the damage to the leaf immediately because we were still remodeling our kitchen. But, after assembling the table a few weeks after receiving it and pulling out the sides to use the leaf, there were 2 pieces broken away from the leaf. It does not roll in and out as it should. We managed to manually manipulate the leaf into place, but cannot easily fold it in and out as it was designed to work.
The seller contacted the manufacturer, and it has now been over 3 months. The manufacturer is not honoring their 1 year warranty of the product being free from defects. I am constantly emailing the seller, who in turn is trying to get this issue resolved with the manufacturer, but is not getting a response. This is a major defect and I specifically felt comfortable ordering from a famous name, Ashley Furniture. I am so unhappy about this. I thought I was saving money by ordering online, but it would probably have been better to pay more through a nearby furniture store. Maybe they would have been able to resolve this issue. I ordered the matching chairs from another online seller, and one of the chairs also arrived damaged. That company is having the same issues getting the manufacturer to respond and honor the warranty. I will NEVER purchase Ashley Furniture again!! Don't be fooled by the famous name. They are a horrible company to deal with.

Not only was the bed frame that delivered to me missing 2 pieces but they installed the wrong hardware making it impossible to complete the assembly. I.E. the bed frame has drawers... Basically, they told me, If one my kids took a fork and made a hole on the chair, they would cover it. Since I cannot say how the tear happened, they would chalk it up as wear and tear and not cover it. It almost sounded like they would have found any excuse to deny claim. Very shady practice at best.

Then on the 3rd time the wood frame was in good condition but the cushion part where you rest your back was not sewn correctly, so I returned it again, then someone called me back from Ashley furniture and told me that their delivery team refuses to deliver to my house again. As I wasn't using it regularly at first and it didn't pop out all the time I let it go. But now this is my daily desk and the mechanism is much worse and I had to swap it out with a dining chair before I broke my neck, because nearly every time I go to lean back it pops out and I do or nearly do fall to the ground. I contacted the warranty department and they said it was past one year. But the tag indicated to me the reclining mechanism was warrantied for 5 years. They claim this is only for RECLINERs and not the office chair's reclining mechanism. So I am out of luck. To those who consider the purchase of a desk chair from this chain of shops be very aware. We are having the same, HORRIBLE, problem with our peeling "bonded leather" furniture, after being promised by the no-longer-there-saleswoman that the warranty covered "everything". Every time we call the warranty company, they switch the reason WHY it's not a covered item. Heck, the same saleswoman told us it even covered animal claws, which we now know is a complete LIE!
I called AF customer service yesterday and the girl admitted there WAS a recall of the Durablend some years back and perhaps THAT'S why we have HUGE areas of missing color. The person I need to call is "Diane", who won't be in until tomorrow. She said we will probably need to take pictures of the damage AND the tags under the furniture for proof. No problem.
"Diane" will be told, in no uncertain terms, that if Ashley DOESN'T do SOMETHING to rectify this problem, we will be loading up the love-seat in the back of our big, red pick up, along with HUGE signs stating the CRAPPY furniture and customer service Ashley Furniture has, and drive around the Tri-Cities area of VA/TN for months, and hopefully get the local news involved. If THAT doesn't work, then we will drop all of their ** furniture at the front door one night, along with more signs, take photos and hopefully get press coverage of THAT too!
We spent over $2000 on this crap and I had previously stated I would NEVER buy from Ashley, based solely on their cheap, ugly orange/blue/yellow logo. It REEKS of cheapness and tackiness. I have never been to an Ashley furniture store. When a new store opened near the Tacoma Mall, I wanted to check it out and had planned to until today. In the past year another store (Chick-fil-A) was built and opened next door to them. The Chick-fil-A location unfortunately has a small parking lot. I really wanted to eat there today, but they were so busy that the only parking spaces available were located at the outer areas of the Ashley store. I drove toward the far end, away from the signs that said 'Ashley Furniture parking only,' and found a space with no sign.
As soon as I had parked, a Chick-fil-A employee came over to let me know that Ashley was being aggressive with towing people. He said Ashley had a lot more signs on order. I looked around at the almost empty parking lot in front of the Ashley store and wondered why Ashley could not work with their neighbor. I think this is being a bad neighbor and Ashley is being totally ridiculous in this situation. They are your neighbor! Why can't you work together? What is wrong with loaning them a few spaces? I will never know what kind of furniture you carry, or what kind of deals you have, because I will not spend one ounce of strength to find out. Their only offer was if we bought a new loveseat they would give us 25% off.
We went to a competitor to purchase a new loveseat and attempted to donate the Ashley piece to Habitat for Humanity. What a statement it made about this product when Habitat refused to take the loveseat, which was then only two years old, because it wasn't even in good enough condition for a donation.
