Two terrible experiences, 1) Owners Box Power Recliner - the one delivered was different comfort than the one in store - had big lump in lumbar section of back - very uncomfortable - Ashley refused to care, 2) TV Table - paid extra for assembly upon delivery - they refused to assemble or to refund the assembly cost. CORRUPT BUSINESS WITH LYING MANAGEMENT AND BAD PRODUCTS!!

Was so excited to purchase a cool faux-leather couch from Ashley at a decent price, and the main reason we went for it was that the sales person told us the delivery date would be around March 6, 2021. This was 4-6 weeks wait from our order date, which was a lot better than other retailers and really sold us on purchasing from them. (He did not mention this, but we even knew that there could be some Covid-related delays). It's now Mar 19, and we called to check on our order, and were told that it might arrive in May and they weren't sure if it was even in stock. Just went into the store and if we want to return, they keep 10-20% of our purchase, even though none of this is our fault. You could literally order a custom sofa online and have it before they will *possibly* deliver yours. Save yourself the hassle and go with a more solid company.

To all you people that plan on buying something from Ashley furniture DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I have never bought from a place that has the worse customer service ever. They all should be fired. So first let me tell you about my Monaghan sofa and love seat that I had wanted for a long time and finally got them. First when I got them home from Mississauga. Pick up. Due to covid I wasn’t allowed to pick up in Hamilton mountain. Get them home one of the decor pillows looked like it was dragged across a dirty floor, loose threads all over both sofa and loveseat, a blue color of dye on the side of the loveseat. My cushions to my couch look like they are 5 years old and big pull in the material and the sofa frame is squeezing every time we sit on it. Call customer service. Getting me new cushions.

By the way I am still waiting for them. It’s been over 2 months. Can only deliver when it is convenient for them and the technician that is supposedly going to fix the frame here instead of just sending me a new one. So I ask if I can pick them up since the cushions are ready but they can’t come out for another month. She said yes she would get them sent to the Hamilton store for me. Give it a week. Go to the store. They are not there. Again call (customer I don’t care) should be their name. Talked to a lady. She said they were never sent and won’t be as they can’t send them.

I don’t think I need to say any more other than I kept my cool through the whole conversation and asked her to try and see if there were any other dates closer available. Her answer was, "If I do you will lose your other date if there isn’t any available" and she started yelling at me so that was the end of that. Hell broke loose after that. Never ever would I give them another penny of mine and going to make sure the bad reviews go all over Facebook... Shame on you managers. I am sure you must read all these bad reviews and they are still happening and you never called me back... Very horrible way to treat your customers. The end and never again.

I ordered two chair and a half's and two ottomans from Ashley online. It took two months to get two chairs and another 3 weeks to get the ottomans. I paid extra for assembly. The assembly never happened. I called the customer service and after an hour of talking to three people, they agreed to credit my account the amount that I paid for assembly. I should have known after this that things wouldn't go well. I'm disabled and it took me several hours to assemble the legs onto the chairs and ottomans. First off, the legs were plastic! Seriously? $2600 for chairs and ottomans with plastic legs. After two weeks, indentations were very noticeable on both chairs. My daughter and I are not heavy people.

I called the customer service once again. She was very helpful but said she needed to call a tech to come out and see what needed to be done. It only took a week, so I was impressed with that. However, once he arrived he was already telling me that there probably wasn't anything he could do. Mind you, he hadn't even lifted the cushions. He went on to tell me how some chairs were springs and others were made with a trampoline type bottom and how much better trampoline bottoms were and that my chairs had them. He finally took a look at the chair cushions and took pictures and said his managers would laugh at me saying there was sagging. There wasn't enough sagging for him to do anything. Unless I had purchased the extra warranty, there really wasn't anything else he could do.

He said that I could call the local store and see if they would just give me cushions to replace. I said why would the local store do that? I purchased online. He said well it was worth a shot. Then he told me I could call back in 6 months or so and see if they'd send him out again. He went on his way and I once again called customer service and tried to get someone to help me. I finally got someone who said she'd give me a discount of 10% for the sagging but if she did that, the warranty would be null and void. Ridiculous. My final thought on Ashley Furniture....DON'T BUY! CHEAPLY MADE FURNITURE AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Technicians are lazy and really not willing to help in any way, shape or form.

We bought a headboard and had it shipped to our home. We opened the box and it was damaged - we were annoyed with the quality and wanted a refund. After hours of back and forth with their incredibly rude customer service (they like to yell and talk over you), we were told we have to PAY a 25% restocking fee (for what? The product was damaged irreparably), PLUS a pick up fee. So they are making customers pay for damaged products - a sure fire way to lose customers and their friends and family. This business is going under, there’s no way they can compete with the likes of Wayfair and other customer-first businesses - who make it easy to return products especially if they are Damaged!!!

I need to donate them before they could replace it. I have never experienced anything like this. Now I'm waiting for the donation company to pick on 4/8/21 before I could send them the recipient and then they could replace it. Don't get me wrong, the chairs are beautiful. But the online customer service was disappointing.

We purchased purchased bedroom furniture on December 31, 2020 with the understanding of an approximate delivery date of February 2, 2021. We have received at least 4 delayed dates since the initial estimated delivery dates and have STILL NOT received the furniture we purchased. We paid cash so it's not like we have only made "partial" payments. I am beginning to wonder if we will EVER receive the furniture for which we have already paid for. While their furniture may be nice - it's only nice if you can actually use it in your home. I will not purchase from Ashley furniture again. An over 3 month delay is unacceptable.

I usually don't take the time to write a review, but I am angry. First of all the quality of the sofa I bought for 2500 dlls was very bad, secondly they sold me a 150 dlls insurance that is a pain to contact them, then when you finally put in your claim it took them 4 months to come and see it in person just to tell me that the insurance would not be able to pay for a damage that was specifically stipulated in the insurance contract that it would cover (a burn in a cushion). I truly believe insurance sales in Ashley is a scam. Not gonna take the time to take them to small claims court, but at least I will leave them this feedback for other to beware.

Customer service won't answer, and they refuse to call us when we leave a request to call! After the first month, we asked for our money back, and Ashley said THEY DO NOT DO REFUNDS! What company does not give refunds for items that are never delivered? They are basically stealing from people; taking their money and never delivering what was promised. I cannot believe Ashley has the nerve to keep their doors open. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM! There is no stock in their warehouse. It's a lie.

I made the terrible decision to purchase a power sectional from Ashley Furniture in late 2019. It took 8 weeks for it to be made and then delivered in 2020, just before the COVID shutdown. From the first week, the sectional did not seem to be properly aligned or assembled correctly. There were gaps between the seats, and a squeaky noise came from the mechanism each time we put the foot rest forward or back. When I phoned the store where we had paid $1641, I was told the problem would be handled by our "warranty, and to call Montage, the provider, at 8006865559. What a joke! Their rep said they were not sending out service reps during COVID unless there was a major malfunction that rendered the piece unusable.

I relented, saying I would call back when things improved. It is now March, 2021, and I cannot get in touch with anyone at their 800 #, with one exception. I got through to a person, who after being on hold for 28 minutes told me their entire system was down. I would have to call back or file the claim online. I've tried multiple times to file online, and it's impossible. The site tells me my protection plan # is associated with another account where there is no email on file, so I need to call the 800 #. This situation is impossible. I HATE WHAT I'VE GONE THROUGH FOR OVER A YEAR, AND WE FEEL WE PURCHASED A WEIRD, BADLY MADE PIECE OF CRAP!

We purchased our furniture approx 2 months ago. Today is 3/12. We were supposed to have it delivered mid Feb. I was understanding in the fact that delivery would be delayed due to poor weather conditions and they stated 3/15. Today they called and stated that they have the couch in their warehouse and can not be delivered now until 3/30. I explained that we will pick it up and we will have to drive an hour to get it. Lack of empathy due to our having to pick this up and I am hoping that we have a refund for our delivery price. I will be buying more local in the future. I am sad that I decided to "venture out".

On January 16, 2021 we went to Ashley because we thought their furniture was good quality for the price that has been around for years. We were upgrading our bed from a queen to a king and wanted the new bed to match our current bedroom set. Due to COVID we called first to see if we needed an appointment. We told the sales woman on the phone what we were trying to do and we saw a bed that was same style as bedroom set. She had told us it's would have to be ordered and was estimated to 12 weeks to get in. We told her that was too long for us to wait and she had told us they have several sets that could work to still come in and look. We were fine with that and made an appointment to meet her the next day.

When arrived she looked up the bed again and was "surprised" to see delivery time frame was now "Only 30 days!". We were still a little unsure of the 30 days but was way better than 3 months! We agreed we may be ok with that and asked her about mattresses. While looking at mattresses we mentioned that we looked into a few others but noticed they were mostly "mattress in a box type" and not sure the quality. She agreed with our thoughts on them. After looking at a few we decided on one of the ones she had shown us. We decided to buy the bed and mattress so she went to write them up. She then came back and told us the bed was now going to be in the store on Jan. 31!! She set up delivery for it all on February 2, 2021. We paid and left the store satisfied.

On about Jan. 27 a gentleman called telling me that the bed was not on the truck??? (Wasn't supposed to be on a truck until Jan 31) And that the delivery would have to be pushed out a week. Not happy but know it can happen. BUT.... THIS HAPPENED ANOTHER 4 TIMES?? With the new reason being all was at store except foot board. We were told they would be delivering the other items still. What good is a bed without a foot board? So we agreed to deliver it all at the same time. We continued to have push out calls.. Finally I saw on FaceBook that there were MANY COMPLAINTS about the exact the of issue. We added our frustration and were given the same computerized response to send a message using Facebook messenger. We did and received a phone call from a D'arrell saying he will take care of our issue and so sorry it happened that he will personally handle our account.

We felt we were going to finally get help. Within about 7 hours we got another call from a Tanya, telling us to not do as he suggested that he had only been with the company a short time but that she is experienced and will handle our case. Still delivery keeps changing. We told them if the delivery is changed one more time, we are done and will cancel the order completely!!!! We finally got a text on March 9 saying our delivery was going to be March 10 at 9am.

We got up early and removed our old bed. We received a text at about 8:30 saying they will be here in 39 minutes. About 5 minutes later they were here. After assembling the bed, we were told that they only ordered 1 of 2 foundations leaving us missing one!! We told them that wasn't OK and he called "his boss". At the same time we tried to call Ashely ourselves. While on the phone delivery guy said his boss will have us a foundation tonight or tomorrow. Woman on phone said that won't happen! The delivery guys then put our queen foundation in bed and then put the king mattress on top of it. They went out to their truck while I was on the phone still and my husband heard the truck start and went to the opened front door to see them leaving. They left garbage in our front yard, and our mattress cover sitting in the front yard as well as not saying they were leaving, left the front door wide opened and gave us no paperwork at all before leaving!!

The woman on the phone directed me to the store we purchased the bed from because it was their fault we didn't get 2 foundations and it's on them. We tried calling the store but the phone switched us to Tampa Florida every time. We explained what was going on and demanded to speak to a supervisor. Eventually we got one and she told us she is going to call the delivery company and see what was going on. Said she would call us right back. It's been 3 hours and we are still waiting.

Meanwhile we finally get a hold of Portland, Or store we purchased it from and spoke to a manager. We were basically told we were lying about the delivery guys leaving as he had a signed delivery paperwork from us and we excepted the order with no issues!!!! There was zero paperwork showed to us and I demanded to see the so called signed paperwork! Of course there wasn't any way of showing it to me.

I spoke to the assistant Manager at the Tomahawk Oregon store and the only thing he will do is get me the 2 king foundations but it will take at least 3 days to get it as they are in the warehouse in Tacoma Wa. We live in Vancouver Wa. a 2 hour drive from us. Also informed us to not use the mattress on the queen platform and to put it directly on the floor. I very clearly told him I am handicapped and my husband and I are Sr. citizens and cannot move a king Mattress. All he could say was sorry but 3 days is the best he can do. He is going to "try" to remove our $99 delivery charge...and that's it...so here we sit...old bed sold, new bed in unusable for 3 days until they full fill the order we paid for 3 months ago. I will NEVER do business with this shady company again!

He took the time to make sure I was getting the BEST deal for my purchase, I did ask for his Manager to let her know what an AMAZING job her employee had done. Prior to coming in I had been to 3 other furniture stores and I was very dissatisfied with their services. Upon completion of the sales, I was given all necessary paperwork pertaining to my recent purchase, I was told when to expect delivery.

When it came within a couple of weeks of my expected delivery date, I was contacted by Ashley Furniture with a more accurate time window. When my furniture arrived to the warehouse I was called once again to schedule a delivery date. I was scheduled a delivery date, the warehouse department called me the day before to give me a time window, prior to arriving to my house, I was sent a text message 10 minutes prior to the delivery guys arriving! The 2 gentlemen who delivered my purchase was very professional & courtesy. They neatly bought all my pieces in my house up to the bedroom, they were quick with putting together the headboard, footboard & frame. I was ask how I wanted the bedroom to be set up and once the job was completed I was then asked to look over all items to ensure they were satisfactory to me, I stated I was very pleased!

One of the gentlemen then stated to me he had to take pictures of all the items after being delivered and set up to verify I received everything in great condition. My overall experience was OUTSTANDING! I would recommend the Ashley Furniture Store in Catonsville MD location. If you want to be lied to, ignored & have your delivery date constantly pushed back… Ashley Furniture is for you! So, on January 15th I purchased two power reclining couches with built in heat and massage (Backtrack Power Reclining Sofa U2800415). Before agreeing to purchase the TWO couches (for over $2,000 each), I was told by my sales person, Vernita **, that they were on backorder BUT that they could be in within the next few days, but it could take until the end February to get them delivered. I told her that I hoped it was sooner rather than later that I would get them (and the only reason I was even willing to pay so much for couches) was because I was in a car accident and had suffered back pain as a result and those were the only couches I could find with built in heat, massage and zero g, that might help ease my discomfort.

Now, that was mid-January. Fast forward to February 25, when I contacted Vernita again to check on my order as we were fast approaching the end of February and I still had not received my couches, or heard anything from Ashley Furniture. She said she would check on it and get back to me. She did get back to me later that day with my new APRIL 5TH estimated delivery date. April 5th???? "Are you kidding me," I said. She then said, that she would check every Monday to see if she could get it moved up. So, Monday arrived. I heard nothing. So I contacted Vernita again to see what she found out. She decided NOT to call or text me back. So, yesterday (Thursday) I reached out to her AGAIN. I Said, "Last we spoke, on Monday, you were going to check and see if you could get my delivery date moved up and you never called me back." Still no reply.

So, today, Friday, I sent another text message that asked why she was IGNORING me. She finally responded and said that she would check on my order. She then let me know that my delivery date was still the same APRIL 14TH. I said, "You were supposed to get it moved closer to the delivery date you promised me, instead it is not pushed back 9 more days???" I told her that my customer experience with Ashley Furniture was absurd and out of sheer frustration I was going to share that very disappointing experience with everyone I could so that other people could see, through my first hand current experience, what to expect when dealing with Ashley Furniture. I let her know that my 5,000 Facebook friends, Ashley’s own FB Page, Yelp, Google Customer reviews, any review site I could find, etc.

She said that she was going to have her manager, Lilly, call me and see what she could do to help. Well, the answer there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Yes, Lilly did call, but she offered no remedies or solutions. Instead she said, "Well, your estimated delivery date is still APRIL 14th… but even that wasn’t a locked in date and it could be pushed back even further." But she would make a call and see if there was anything that she could do (She did not sound optimistic that anything was going to come from her phone call). So I shared with her, that I had already done everything that I could do.

I picked out the furniture I wanted. I paid for it. I proactively stayed on top of my backordered couches. I had been patient. But now all I could do is share my experience and maybe after a few thousand other people see what Ashley Furniture puts its customers though, maybe someone at the higher levels of management might get involved and something might actually change for the better. Please understand, due to my back pain, my intent with even purchasing these couches with built in heat, massage and zero g, are a therapy device… so this, to me, is much more than just buying furniture and expecting a company to honor its word with regard to when I receive it. Now I will spend my afternoon, cutting and pasting this review everywhere I can find….

This is some of the cheapest furniture I have ever had the displeasure of owning. I paid over 2k for a sofa and recliner, less than two years the recliner has broken twice. This time the frame for the headrest has broken and is not fixable. I paid 150.00 that I was forced to buy, and they say they will not warranty it because they do not cover frame damage. If you want to pay your good money for cheap and worthless furniture, then please buy from Ashley and pay for their forced protection plan that will not pay for repairs. I, for one, will never walk into another one of their stores... This recliner is under two years old and should not be busted already. If they read this and want to make it right as they should, then I will change my mind about this cheap furniture.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY!!! I have dealt with a lot of and worked in the field of customer service and Ashley has the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!! We bought a mattress from them and waited for the delivery. During that time our cousins said they bought a couch from Ashley and after months and months it never got delivered so they just cancelled their order. I wish we would have cancelled ours too! Once our mattress was delivered (they said they would call with a time but never did and then almost left with our mattress when I told them I was a few mins away driving home!) my husband and I took it out of the plastic wrap and the whole side strap ripped and there was a huge hole in our mattress!!

I called customer service 3 times (on the phone for over an hour each time) and all they would tell me is to send in pictures and that someone would call me back in 24-48 hours to set up a time for the technician to come out and look at the damages. I set the pictures within 30 mins of the first call and NO ONE EVER CALLED... EVER! By the third call I told them that I will not hang up until I get something set up with a technician because I can't keep calling back. Then all of a sudden the customer service rep said a date was already set (without my knowledge) for a Tuesday in the middle of the day between a 4 hour period. I was frustrated because I work and can't just leave to go let them in the house, but at least I had someone coming out. Well, without a call or notice or anything the technician shows up 3 days early!!!! Thank God my husband was home because we had no idea he was coming!!

He checked out the mattress and said he could try to sew it up - my husband told him no, we paid a lot of money for a new mattress not for a mattress with a hole. So he said he will request the exchange and someone will call us in 24-48 hours. Of course, no one called. I called back (again on the phone for over an hour) and they said there were no notes in the system from the technician and that's why no one called me back. Once I finally got transferred to a supervisor all of a sudden he finds notes from the technician saying the hole was a result from customer wear and tear and there will be no refunds or exchanges. WHAT THE CRAP?!?! After MUCH talking and going back and forth he says he can send out another technician.... WHAT?!?!

When I asked him what the point of that was he couldn't answer. All he could say was, "I can't process an exchange with these notes from the technician in the system so I will need to send out another technician." ABSOLUTELY NOT!! After I talked to him for 20 mins about how that doesn't make sense and that is not a solution, he finally said he will put in the exchange request with the returns department. He sent me his email and said he would contact me in 24-48 hours. Again, I heard nothing from him. I emailed him 3 days later for an update and he said the returns team has not gotten to the request yet and that he will contact them to put the request at the top of their list. I wait another couple days, of course no word. I emailed and called the same supervisor, Terrell **, but he did NOT take my calls and REFUSED to return my emails.

I called back for the 6th time (on the phone with them for 1.5 hours!) and the rep refused to transfer me to a supervisor. Almost an hour later I convinced her to get me to a supervisor. The exchange request wasn't even looked at and the supervisor talked with his superior who finally overrided the request to push it through. After a month and a half of dealing with their customer service I will never purchase anything from Ashley ever again! IT WAS THE BIGGEST HEADACHE EVER!!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY!!

Ashley’s furniture customer representatives & dispatch personnel are the absolute worst at problem solving. They were not able to assist with a simple task such as updating my new cell phone number. Because of this - they had to reschedule my drop off & I won’t be getting my sofa for another two weeks because it’s now on “back order”. Wow that’s shocking because I was supposed to get it delivered today 3/2/2021. Please do yourself a favor and do not give your hard earned money to a business that doesn’t care about customer service or needs. Save your sanity & peace.

My husband and I had a very disappointing experience with our purchase of a mattress from the Ashley Furniture Outlet store. The mattress had an indentation within three days of sleeping on it. Their technician came out and insisted there was an indentation in our box spring. He kept saying this while I'm standing right next to him and could clearly see there was no indentation in the box spring. His entire focus was on our box spring which we had no issue with before this mattress. We called Ashley customer service and got no help. They accepted his report and refused to take the mattress back unless we pay a disposal fee AND a restocking fee. This totaled $249. We offered to return the mattress ourselves. They would not accept that.

How does a company charge a disposal fee AND a restocking fee at the same time? How do they dispose of the mattress as well as restock the mattress? Lauren, the customer service manager insists that's all they could do and we would have to pay both fees before they would take it back and we could only do an exchange, NO refund. It appears that the mattress was not brand new and could have been refurbished. Also, because we didn't buy a box spring from Ashley Furniture we feel that the technician came to our house with the intent to blame our box spring for the problem and with no intention to recognize the poor quality mattress that we were sold.

We did not expect this of Ashley Furniture who advertise themselves as #1 for furniture and mattresses in the U.S. We are very disappointed with the service we received and the product we received. In these times of difficulty and joblessness due to CovID 19 we don't have monies to give away to Ashley Furniture or any other furniture store. We have a family to feed and bills to pay. We feel this is total robbery that we have been duped out of money and the only solution is for us to pay an additional $249 to begin to get the issue resolved. We expected better from Ashley Furniture and will never buy from them again or advise anyone to buy anything from them. We are extremely disappointed and can only move forward with sharing our negative experience so other consumers can be alerted before making a purchase.

I purchased furniture in August. The original delivery was delayed and I was offered a credit that never was posted to my account. I had to dispute the charge to get what was offered to me. From early on there were some minor problems with the bar stools. We had seen a couple screws on the floor in the dining room. We did not realize right away that they were from the bar stools. Upon inspection, 5 out of the 6 bar stools had missing or stripped screws. There are also support pieces that have fallen off because of the screw issues. I have 2 children that I am worried are going to get hurt if the bar stools fall apart because support pieces are falling out.

I then proceeded to contact the customer service department who told me that they would ship replacement parts. I was told that they would be shipped to the store and then delivered to me and put together. I was given a date. Upon follow up they were not shipped to the store. I was told that parts are never shipped to the store. They were being shipped to me. Then come to find out that no order was ever put in. There have been many phone calls involved in this matter. I am then contacted by someone else that says that she will ship out all new bar stools. When the delivery comes, the delivery driver himself tells me that the are damaged. They were damaged before they left the warehouse. He tells me I should refuse delivery and ask to have them shipped in a box and have them put together at my house.

I call customer service and request this. I am told this is fine. I then hear from someone that they are being shipped put together. That person tells me that she will change the order and they will come in the box. Delivery is delayed again. When speaking to delivery people I confirm that they are coming in the box. Yes. When delivery comes they are put together and damaged. We ask the driver to take back the existing bar stools so we can get a refund and the driver drives away.

I have been dealing with this for nearly 2 months. I have been lied to and hung up on by customer service more times than I can count now. I spoke to someone a couple days ago who said that he will finally put through a refund on the account. Wonderful! I just hung up with someone who wanted to schedule a delivery of new bar stools again! Apparently my refund isn’t being done. They are still trying to send me what is probably the same broken and damaged bar stools that they have tried to deliver twice already. I would like to and have tried set up to return the merchandise to the company. I have been told by the store that they will not take refunds and not to take anything to the store.

I will not be recommending to all my family and friends not to purchase anything from Ashley Furniture. I will make sure to share this feedback in all places allowed. I have had them come out three times to fix issues with my kitchen table, with my bed they just sent the materials for me to fix myself. Which was difficult to do. They had to completely replace my kitchen one time, even though the description said it had heat protection on it.

I recently called because there was another heat issue, a broken bench, and a broken leg on a chair. I purchased this in July of 2019, and they told me the item is now disconnected. They would have to offer a store credit, I asked about a refund since the quality of the furniture is not good. They also informed me that I would have to pay for delivery and for the warranty. That will come out to about $300. So because of their poor products, I am forced to pay extra for something that was not my fault. Along with stuck using Ashley furniture because they won't allow for a refund. This is really disappointing and a terrible structure to force people to buy their products, and even when using a credit still make money off a customer.

Do not purchase anything from this store. Their customer service is terrible. They had over $1800 of my money for over three months before I received my electric recliner. Purchased a recliner September 2021. I was told it would take 6 - 8 weeks to arrive. I paid with a credit card. When the delivery date came and went, NO ONE notified me of a delay. I contacted the salesman who said the delivery was delayed and he would give me a discount on my bill. He DID NOT. Turns out he was not qualified to make that discount. I tried to contact the store numerous times on the phone, no one answered. If I did get through I could only leave voice mails. NO ONE returned my call.

I finally contacted what I thought was corporate only to learn that the corporate I contacted only serviced West Texas. I was told to contact the store. I went into the store, asked why the chair was delayed, and asked for a discount. I was told there was a delay but a discount would be requested. I was further told the salesman who promised a discount was not authorized to give a discount. Still not hearing from Ashley Furniture, my husband went to the store and asked them to call me. They did and said the shipment was delayed. Ashley Furniture had almost $2,000 of my money for over three months and NO CHAIR was delivered. I finally spoke to a manager who promised a discount and apologized for the delay. I asked him to email and mail me a service plan which I had paid $249 for. He DID NOT email me a copy but I received one in the mail.

I was given misinformation every time I called and I was promised help, my chair or a discount each time I called. This DID NOT happen either. I learned that you CANNOT contact a nationwide corporate office and get any assistance. The stores are locally owned. I will never purchase another item from Ashley Furniture homestores and I will not recommend them to anyone. I thought by shopping in my hometown rather than online I would get better service. That was not the case.

Realizing with Covid, there could be issues with that request. Talked to a sales consultant, she said an Item we were interested in was in stock and could have to us by late November. We paid cash, got the extended warranty. Great! Then starts the delays, today is February 12, 2021 and delivery was finally just made, about 3 months later than we wanted. Store consultant was zero percent accessible for questions along the way.

Frankly, the delivery was way past ideal for our needs, but we made due without and made peace with the delay in delivery. Unfortunately, one piece of the sectional was not in the delivery and another piece delivered damaged. So I now have a partial and damaged sectional sofa setting in pieces in the middle of my living room. Delivery guys would not take it back without a work order. On top of that, they damaged my walls and tracked dirt all over the floors because they had no common sense. We will be scheduling a return of all items for a full refund. Save yourself the headache and hassle, buy from a more reputable furniture store that is more focused on the consumer experience. These guys only care about making the sale! Ashley HomeStore, Shiloh, IL, I would first like to say that it has been very frustrating dealing with this store, customer service, and the GBS warranty that was purchased. I purchased the furniture warranty ($750) hoping that I would be able to use it. I paid upfront for all of our furniture ($6800). After a few months, I contacted the warranty company to have our couch cleaned. Since August, I have had no response from GBS "Premium" protection program. I tried calling, sending emails, and I even submitted a ticket online on their website with pictures. No contact, no scheduling, nothing. I figured I would just cancel the warranty and try to get a "prorated" refund. After speaking to a supervisor at GBS and creating a ticket, he assured me that I would get some letter in the mail, which never came, to sign so I can get refunded.

Since I got no letter, after confirming my address multiple times, I tried to contact a supervisor at GBS. I got no email response, or phone call back. Each time I call them, there is no answer, although after about 5-6 times, I get someone in customer service who says that a supervisor will call me back. After 3 months of this, I decided to go to the store. It is my understanding that they are supposed to put in a cancellation on my behalf after trying with GBS per Ashley customer service. I was told last week by the store manager to give them 72 business hours (it has been 7 business days by now). I waited patiently...After no call or email from the local store, I went back in to speak to the person in charge. She said that she has not gotten a response back yet. So, I told her that I am tired of the run around by GBS, and the store, and just want some sort of resolution, or an answer of whether I can get this warranty refunded.

Today, I was told that there is nothing else she can do except to "escalate" again to another department. The store manager was nice enough to deal with me regarding this matter being that it seems to be outside of her control. I called Ashley Furniture customer service by her recommendation, I asked for a supervisor, then I got hung up on. I went back into the store to let her know about this. I contacted customer service again to get a supervisor. I was told that there is no supervisor and one will be available for a call back. I keep getting told that I will get a call back from both Ashley Furniture customer service, and GBS. I have yet to get a call back from any party. I was also told that my ticket was closed 2 days ago for some reason.

Ashley Furniture and GBS are very unprofessional with how they conduct their business. With GBS having very poor customer service, I get the feeling that I have been scammed with this GBS warranty. I did my part by trying to use the warranty after paying for it. I have put in a lot of footwork to get something resolved, and to my dismay, I still have nothing to show for it after almost 6 months. If you have a customer purchase a high dollar amount of furniture from your company, you would think that that company would want to get return business or at least a referral for more business. Sadly, I will never do business with Ashley Furniture, or GBS, nor will I recommend anyone buy from them. My family and I are completely unsatisfied customers. Had any supervisor from GBS contacted me at least once, things might have been different and I would not have had to write this review.

We purchased a brand new frame not an "AS IS" or floor model. I contacted the company the day after and dealt with the rudest customer service I have ever had to deal with. I was told that a technician could come to my house to "repair it" which was unacceptable as there should have been nothing to repair being that it was new - not to mention in my opinion with everything I listed above was not repairable. I was not offered a replacement product and was told that if the technician decided that the repair was within their standards there would be nothing I could do. They would not come pick it up at first because of COVID (keep in mind a technician was okay to come to my house) and I was told that I had to return it to the warehouse that was also closed due to COVID but I had to meet their return policy for # of days which was interesting cause they were closed.

On top of that they are charging me a 25% restocking fee - I have to pay over $200 because they sent me a poor quality product - plus who's to say they will not just continue shipping this product to customers that will go through exactly what I have had to go through. They finally agreed to pick it up but still refuse to refund me the full amount. Please save your money, the customer service alone and the policies of this company are unbelievable. I can't even believe to be honest that with that many quality issues this left the manufacturers.

In December of 2018 we purchased a sectional couch at Ashley Furniture in Columbia SC. We paid $299.99 additional for a 5 year warranty. However, now that BOTH ends of the sectional are sagging, we are told that that is “normal wear and tear”! We don’t even have kids at home now! They will not cover that! Very dissatisfied with a company that we thought was a good company. Live and learn the hard way by getting ripped off.

February 6, 2021. On Nov 1, 2020 I purchased furniture at Todd Wanek’s Ashley HomeStore. In Oxnard, CA. Todd Wanek is the CEO of Ashley Furniture Industries out of Arcadia WI. Mr. Wanek owns this store location and many others under the name of a Shell Company, Stoneledge Furniture, LLC in Colton, CA. In fact he has many alias business names; Here are a few more; Rockledge Furniture LLC, Southwestern Furniture LLC, Kingswere Furniture LLC, El Toro Road Assoc LLC, Ashcomm LLC, KT Brightwater LLC, Appls Fl-Ok LLC and many more.

In December, I was very surprised to get a call that told me my furniture was ready for delivery, when other customers were waiting 6 months to 1 year for their orders. Since this was right around the holidays and I was going to be out of town, the delivery was set up for Monday, Jan 18, 2021. I also paid for the Premium Delivery option, which means, they deliver, bring it into my home, and setup the furniture. The delivery crew showed up on Jan 18, 2020 at 9:00 am. They just took everything out of the truck and put it in my house and left. It was a very quick delivery! Immediately, after they left, I was able to look at the furniture and instantly knew why I had received the furniture so quickly. There were many defects, listed below but not limited to:

    1. End table is damaged. Top corner is chipped off and looks like a failed attempt to cover it up with a marking pen.
    2. Coffee table top was not finished properly and has swirl marks in it. Also there are heavy white streaks all over the top and sides. I guess it’s supposed to look like stressed furniture but it just looks bad and hastily finished. It’s a mess!
    3. One large chair has a crooked leg and there is white paint slopped all over the bottom, wooden parts.

    4. The other large chair has a crooked leg on it.

I cannot believe they would take advantage of a Senior Citizen by dumping off B-stock furniture and leaving like that. By 11am, I was in the store complaining to the store manager, Abraham ** and also cancelling the last end table that wasn’t delivered. They took it off my bill, as far as I know. However, they refused to acknowledge a replacement on the damaged furniture. This has caused a lot of pain and frustration on our part, trying to understand why they dumped the furniture off, like they did, then refusing to replace or refund what was damaged. The furniture is broken, shoddy and has crooked legs, etc. It looks like “B” stock merchandise, not new, that I contracted to purchase.

After I complained about the problems, they told me they will only fix it!!! What? I didn’t pay good money for furniture to be repaired, refinished, etc. - IN MY HOME! What a disaster that would be, just waiting to happen. For Todd Wanek to send me some B-Goods and broken furniture, to be repaired is outrageous. I paid good money for New Furniture and that is what my contract is binding, for. His Fraudulent Business Practices are horrible and taking advantage of Senior Citizens, like us is outrageous!

Since Todd Wanek and Ashley Home Furnishings breached our Sales Contract and fraudulently took advantage of us, I am requesting a full refund. Ashley Homestore should not charge me any Cancellation and/or Restocking Fees. I want them to schedule a pick up the furniture, ASAP - refund my full purchase and cancel the order immediately. As of this date, they still refuse to cooperate and insist on repairing the damaged furniture - in my house. Robert G **

We ordered our furniture during Thanksgiving sale. We got delivery after 2 months and delivery people didn't put screws in for railing or in bed storage drawers didn't put railings. So, all the drawers doesn't fit properly, doesn't slide in and out ok. We schedule technician to come and fix. Even though we explain the issue on chat and over the phone. They came without hardware kit and had to wait two weeks to get hardware in mail. After getting hardware there was no technician available for other two weeks. So, it's been three months and still no use of furniture.

Our daughter ordered bedroom furniture and after 3 months still waiting and they are messaging and pushing back every week. So after 3 months still no answer when it's going get deliver. On top of all worst customer service. They transfer your chat to 10 different ppl and you have to start all over again from order no to problem. New agent cannot read other agent chat. Most frustrating, unreliable and not that good furniture quality. What you see in showroom is different than what you get.

Order # **. It was scheduled for delivery Feb 6, 2021 between 1:15p-4:15p. No one called, no emails and no one showed up. I called Ashley at 3:16p and the agent tracked the drivers down the street from my home on 33rd st at another unit. Agent said give it about 40m. I called back at 4:20p for an update and was told the driver claimed they could not reach me at 2p and to re-schedule. I never received a phone call and I have my call logs to prove it. The Drivers lied about not being able to contact. Ashley claimed they put an urgent ticket in for delivery and the distribution center claimed they called and I didnt answer again at approx. 4:44p which again is not true.

I tossed my old couch in prep for order this morning. I'm 4 mos pregnant with 5 kids and we have nowhere to sit now because the drivers decided not to deliver my fully paid for couch. Also, Ashley's has been processing and reversing the payment from my account since Jan 5, 2021; which was not something I agreed to and it was a troubling experience. They've also advertised hassle free delivery. This has been nothing but a hassle since I agreed to purchase.

This has been the most awful experience. I originally purchased furniture from them in December 2020 and was told my items would be available in 1 week guaranteed. Well 1 week turned into a month. When I picked up my items they appeared to have been re-boxed. I purchased a dining room table but it was in a box labeled California King sleigh headboard. When I asked why was my table in a different box and wanted to verify the correct items were in the box I was told they didn't know why my items were reboxed and no I could not open the box to check. I took the items home and when we opened the box there was no hardware to put the table together and the tabletop was completely broken with missing pieces of wood.

I also purchased a nightstand and it was broken as well. It had a huge crack at the bottom and one of the legs was completely broken. I called and requested a refund and was told I could not have a refund but they could exchange the items. A new order was placed for the non-damaged items and delivery was scheduled for 2/5/20 between 12:30-15:30. They never showed up and I called them FIVE times about my items and each time I was told various lies such as the driver was running late, the driver would be there in an hour, someone would call me back with more updates and other foolish things such as my time zone was wrong and one person even said they didn't know what happened to my order. The last lie I was told a supervisor named Carlos said my items would definitely be delivered that evening and he would call me back to make sure. Neither of those actions occurred.

I called back the very next day and was told my items we canceled due to the replacement items being damaged and delivery was rescheduled for 2/12/21. Keep in mind no one from Ashley's called me for any updates to my order. I had to call. When I asked why wasn't I notified the representative said she didn't know but I could call back on the 12th. No apologies, no help, not even from the supervisors. As of today I still have the damaged items that I cannot use because they aren't safe and I never agreed to purchase damage items. The lack of communication, rudeness (I had MULTIPLE reps hang up on me), and lack of integrity that they have displayed is really distasteful and disrespectful. Monday I will be seeking legal action again them because they did not make good on their word. Stay away from their stores and their items!

They said they’ll come pick it up the following week.

When the delivery guys arrived they stated that due to a small abrasion on the upholstery on the bottom corner of the back of the couch, they won’t be taking it back. For reference this abrasion is the size of a quarter of a nickel. Literally no more than 1 cm. This couch was insured under manufacturer warranty and we paid an additional $150 to insure it upon purchase. The customer service manager Shannon was extremely rude and short with us, and said she won’t be taking it back. I have never seen WORSE return policies in my life, PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY! Before you buy at Ashley Furniture ask yourself these questions. Do I have the lowest of low expectations? Do I want poor quality and the WORST customer service? Do I want my blood pressure to rise every time I look at my Furniture or hear the name "Ashley "? Do I want to reach a new level of "Karen" where you start to question who is this overly triggered person? Do you like getting the run around? Do you mind taking off work a few days because they set a date and delivery time but do not come and give you excuses on why your items were not delivered? Do you like paying for things that are damaged and waiting over 7 months to get replacements and have to go through delivery again losing more work and being told they put wrong address in and won't be able to deliver. Do you like talking to a wall? You can send emails, call and go in person and you will get nothing. They absolutely do not care.

So friends BEWARE. I assure you I was not a triggered person until I decided to walk through Ashley's doors. Worst mistake ever. Friends, if you feel curious and go into their doors don't, instead have someone punch you in the face and go to La-z-Boy or even Wayfair. At least with those 2 you get Superior customer service and quality and with Wayfair you may even get a person shipped with your order. This will be your best advice for 2021. You're welcome!

When you buy furniture from Ashley online, they do not take your money at the time you buy it. Every 6 days until your furniture ships, they go into your payment type (in my situation it was my checking account as I used a debit card) and hold the funds. They then release them and place another hold for 6 days and this continues until your furniture ships. The probelm/s with that is that first of all, they have access to my account every 6 days, a huge exposure for error. Secondly, my bank has a daily $3000 limit on transactions to prevent theft, and on the day they go into my account and freeze the funds, I cannot purchase anything else. Who does that!!??

When I asked why they don't just take the money when I buy the furniture, they didn't have an answer.... I asked to whose benefit would this be, and again, they could not answer. They just stated legally they cannot hold my funds for more than 6 days. I begged them to let me pay for the furniture and be done with it, and they would not let me. This seems really shady and almost illegal to me. Why would they do that? I don't know, so, I am staying away.

When I called last fall I was told the love seat would come in 12/23/20, sofa 12/28/20 and chair would come in 1/23/21. They asked if they could delay our delivery until all three items came in. I agreed. I called today 1/24/21 as all three items should have been in. No one contacted me. I spoke to Vanessa on the phone today for store service. She said none of the items were in and expected delivery date was 2/2/21, 2/3/21, 2/4/21 and my new delivery date was 2/15/21. I asked why no one advised us of delay. I paid cash and money could have collected interest in my account. I was told the new delivery date was subject to change.

I called our salesman and he said he would check on it. I asked for a refund of the$350 delivery fee. I was told I could get half of that or $175. I told him that was not acceptable. I have my suspicions since it has been three months. They must have given my items to someone else. After all they couldn’t even promise me a February delivery (four months). I got the usual excuses about covid, etc. The salesman kept asking me why I didn’t contact him sooner? He asked at least four times like it was my fault somehow. That’s right. Blame the customer!

I told him I trusted them when they said the items would be in on 1/23/21. I kept telling him I trusted them. I asked why I keep seeing advertisements for Ashley sales when they can’t even take care of their cash paying customers and deliver the goods. No adequate answers. I told him I want delivery now for each individual piece. So if that means three delivery dates so be it. I don’t think it is unreasonable to be upset.

We paid cash, expected items. Two of them to be in for December & no one contacted us otherwise even though they realize now I am upset. They refuse to give me a delivery refund of 100%. That is very poor customer recovery. I doubt I will ever shop there again. The day we shopped we couldn’t complete the cash register transaction because it kept saying we lived in Yoruba Linda not Mentone. We finally had to list our old residence in Victorville to get the transaction done. Nothing but lip service. Be aware! They fail to honor their customers the ones that sustain their jobs for them! My fiance purchased a couch and a recliner from the Ashley Homestore at: 2331 Hwy K., O'Fallon, MO 63368 in October 2018. Within 2 yrs 2 of the 3 couch cushions had gone completely flat and had become uncomfortable. The Recliner was not used very often but it still fell apart in January 2021. It had been used perhaps a total of 30 times. The recliner was of especially poor quality as the seat frame had not been put together with nails or screws but with weak staples. These staples completely pulled out of the cheap wooden frame and the seat of the recliner collapsed showering the floor with broken staples and wood shavings.

When I called to inquire about having the manufacturers defect repaired I was told they do not give free estimates even if I send in pictures of the damage and was told that to send a repair person to give an estimate would cost $130 for the first hour and the total repair would cost more. I purchased an Olsberg Sectional from Ashley Furniture showroom in South St. Louis County. Before purchasing the item, the salesperson allowed me to take home a pillow from the sectional to compare colors with existing furniture, walls, etc. The color on their showroom floor was a tan buck color. I liked the color, and purchased the item. When the sectional was delivered I noticed it was not tan at all, rather silver in color, and it didn't match my home whatsoever. I told the delivery guys the color was wrong, but when I went online to look at colors I found there is only one color offered. So I accepted delivery thinking perhaps the lighting in my home wasn't the same as the day I brought home the pillow. I then took one of the pillows off the sectional that was delivered and took it to the store for comparison. The color is way off!!

Two salespeople were helping me, and both agree it is not the same color at all. They advised I speak with Customer Service at their home office, and so I emailed them that very day. I waited over seven days for a response, so I called them. They did not offer a refund, rather reselecting something from the showroom. If I wanted something else from the showroom, I would have purchased something else. So I went back to the store to talk to another manager. That is when I had the most horrible customer service experience.

I spoke to Debbie, who claimed she was a manager. I brought the pillow with me and I showed her pictures of what was delivered, compared to showroom sample. She firmly said she was NOT going to walk over to the floor sample to compare colors, she was NOT going to take both pillows outside to compare colors, and furthermore the colors looked the same to her. She must be colorblind!

She spoke to me in a way that I felt like she was purposely trying to get me to lose my temper. She called another manager over, who agreed with me about the color variance. He offered a full refund or discount but advised it would have to be approved by the home office. That's when Debbie took things over again. She resent my email to customer service with a few notes of her own. She did not CC me in the email, so who knows what she told them. C/S then called me to say I could reselect, but no refund. This was the first and last time I will ever shop at Ashley Furniture.

In addition, the prices being offered by Ashley compared to AFW are exorbitantly inflated.

The delivery men were shoving the cell phone for me to sign while the representative was asking me whether the furniture was in showroom condition and I looked at the set. And it looked fine but I didn’t inspect it because I saw the chipping after they left. However, even though the company said that their furniture has a warranty it’s set up by design that the insurance doesn’t cover defect furniture and neither does the additional insurance they shove down your throat. Don’t buy this set as it is poorly manufactured by a company that hires contract employees to deliver substandard furniture rotting in the warehouse. Run. Don’t walk to another furniture store....

I purchased the Wyndahl Set of bedroom furniture on 4/27/2020, my first time ever buying from Ashley.... MISTAKE! The set plus mattress cost $$$$ which was OK for a great set that would last us years to come. BUTTT, after delivery and set up I noticed a few drawers were crooked and cabinet doors as well. Was that something I could have lived with? Sure, it wasn't too noticeable. After all, anything man made is not perfect.

After delivery on 6/9/202 I was decorating and plugging in our lamps on each side of the side tables. As I plugged in the lamp into the outlet I noticed it did not work. With further investigation, I noticed the breaker on the house was tripped. After I flipped the breaker on the house I went to plug the side table back into the wall outlet, then proceed to plug the lamp into the table outlet. Well, that didn't go as planned, as I was plugging into the wall receptacle flames arced and the house breaker immediately tripped again. I did further investigation and made sure it was not a faulty plug on the house by plugging a hairdryer and the lamp in the same receptacle, there were no problems detected. I also took measures of moving the entire table to other locations in the home to test it on other receptacles, same problem every time.

I call Customer service Claims and warranty department on 6/9/2020 and explain the situation. After Explaining, the lady argues with me that it is not indeed the table, It was the electrical in my home. I assured her it was not issues with my electrical. A few days go by and I spoke with my electrician, he came and inspected and also confirmed it was not the home that, "in fact" the table receptacle was faulty. During those few days more problems occurred as the dresser knob pulled straight off, bed slats started cracking and falling apart. 6/18/2020 No parts or repairman, By this time the Small 3 bed slats have now broken completely into and the bed was now sleeping in a U shape because of no support.

After a few restless nights my husband had to disassemble the bed and literally remove the broken slats and sit our box springs on the floor that were now a permanent U shape. 6/18/2020 I send pictures to the department of the damaged pieces and the response I was given was that the mattress and box springs were sold "as Is" and could not be refunded or swapped because of the damage their broken furniture caused.

After a lot of headaches with this dealing and now by this time backaches too, my husband decided to step in and request them just to accept a return on the furniture after $$$$ it is literally useless to us, the lady replied that "she would have to contact a higher up and get back in touch with us." 5 months Go by and only the receptacle was repaired. During the month of November 3 new bed slats were delivered. It is currently 1/17/2021 and my mattress and box springs are literally sitting on the floor and no knobs on my dresser. This was large amount of money to spend on a bedroom suite for only one single item not to be defective out of 8 and 6 are still not repaired or replaced and the issued arose immediately after delivery.

I beg you to read this review before ever deciding to work with this company. Let me start by saying this has been (October - present) the absolute worst customer service experience I've had or will ever have in my life. GO TO ANY OTHER COMPANY BESIDES Ashley for the following reasons:

-Everything is back ordered (good luck getting your purchases anytime soon). I placed my order at the beginning of October and have received half my items. The dresser I ordered (kinda important right) -- that I found out is delayed until March. Nothing like waiting 5 months minimum!

-The best part is you have absolutely no idea when you're going to be receiving your stuff. This is because when you call into the customer service team 10 different people will tell you 10 different answers. This is a very IMPORTANT point -- you will spend months upon months running in circles trying to get stuff figured out

-Two items of the furniture that have been delivered were damaged. I also had a delivery guy install one of the pieces of furniture incorrectly. I'm sorry, sir, isn't that literally your one job in this whole process? One would figure these should be easy fixes -- call their FANTASTIC (lol) customer service team who will arrange for the item to be replaced and the other item to be correctly assembled. At the very least maybe a technician comes out and tries to fix the damages first. Both of those options would make too much sense when it comes to the folks at Ashley. I spent ~10 phone calls totaling 5 hours to try and get either option arranged.

-I was told "everything is confirmed" and "we're all good" only to call in a couple days later to have a new customer service rep tell me that no service order or exchange request was created. The perpetual "groundhog day" effect of having the same conversation over and over and over again with no problems actually being solved.

-I was also told when I purchased the furniture that I would be contacted as soon as the furniture arrives at the warehouse. Yet I find myself every single week having to call in and ask for an update -- only to once again get 5 different answers on estimations for delivery. Who doesn't LOVE to be told your furniture is getting delivered on X date only to call in a couple days later to confirm and to have the rep tell you that no delivery date was ever scheduled. Wasn't scheduled.... what did I just spend an hour two days ago discussing with a different rep?

-It's so sad to say the BEST part of the customer service team is the ~30 minutes you have to wait to actually speak with someone. It gives you time to mentally prepare yourself for the hell you're about to be put through and the lies you're about to be told.

I don't believe this company should be in business -- I can't believe this is how they treat people that spend money on their products. They have run me around in circles for months and at this point I'm drained. I'm reading other reviews with the exact same stories, so I ask if this has happened to you to please respond to this and share your experiences. How many negative reviews do you have to receive before finally deciding that enough is enough? One final message to Ashley HomeStore -- this isn't rocket science, FIGURE IT OUT.

Instead of just replacing that component, I had to re-pack all the components, return them and not get the correct ones until they received the return and placed the new order, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE since upon arrival of the new system, we removed the current system assuming the order was correct. After over an hour on the phone with customer service and speaking with supervisors, we had absolutely no satisfaction with getting the issue resolved. I spent over two hours of my time re-packing the items for a 10% credit. Obviously, the customer service has no regard for someone else's time and what it actually costs the end user when problems like this arise. I will not spend another penny with Ashley Furniture.

Purchased on the Ashley furniture website and this has been one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. Noticed several large chips in the wood on the desk when I first unpackaged it, disappointing but not a deal breaker for me. Went to put the desk together… but the package was missing the screws to attach the legs (which took Ashley TEN days to ship to me). After receiving the screws/putting the desk together noticed nearly all of the slats were uneven and incredibly poorly made. It’s to the extent I have to be careful putting a drink down on the desk because they are so uneven it will cause my glass to tip over.

Didn’t get offered a refund because I waited so long to complain about the Slats (seeing as it took ten days to get the screws to put the desk together and notice the slats….). Was offered a conciliatory rebate which they never actually processed. Emailed the guy who promised me a rebate and radio silence. In sum, worst quality furniture I have ever purchased and terrible customer service that is downright dishonest. Thanks a lot (sarcasm) ** @ashleyfurniture.com

I tried to refuse the shipment based on what the representative had told me to do prior to the delivery. The Ashley Furniture crew was the ones who dropped off and told me they would not allow me to refuse the shipment, signed my name on their customer signature and drove off.

I have wasted HOURS of my time on the phone trying to make this right and have asked for a manager numerous times to give me a call back. Since the customer service representative told me they are all working from home due to COVID, they couldn't connect me to a manager (shocking because they can connect me to other people in other departments working at home). I requested a call back multiple times with no manager call back even though it has been months of requests. I am beyond furious and will NEVER purchase from Ashley Furniture EVER again. HORRIBLE!! Overcharged and deceived. I would hope all stores don’t operate the same! The entire sale was built on false pretenses and dishonesty. 1. Went in for a sofa. Advised sales guy that the online price was hundreds of dollars cheaper. He said no problem. He will honor the online price. He then sold me a $600 mattress and offered me a “bundled discount” if I purchase both items. LIE! 2. When I got home and went over my invoice I noticed he didn’t give me the online price which was CHEAPER than any “discount” he claimed. So I didn’t benefit $1 from the mattress purchase! 3. He didn’t honor a 20% coupon I had because he was giving me a “bundled deal” and couldn’t add discounts. Yet I was overcharged and never received any discount by adding mattress.

    4. When I called customer svc to ask about the 10yr warranty the sales guy claimed came with mattress (didn’t receive any documentation). The customer svc rep stated memory foam mattress only comes with 1 year! The rep was rude and unprofessional! He told me he had “no control over” what they told me at the store. Wow! Do any of these people get any training! 5. When opening credit line sales guy told me the payment will be on auto pay. Great .... however I was charged late fees because this was not true either! I’m disgusted. WORST furniture experience EVER!!!. Sales guy was unprofessional and thought I wouldn’t catch him on his deception. More focused on getting a date than doing his job!! I had better service from WAYFAIR. That’s a shame bc Ashley’s has nice furniture and the quality seems good.

They have advertised this Johan rug as 5'3# * 7'6#, but the dimensions were only 133*205 cm (4'3# * 6*7) (Note: it's still shown with incorrect dimensions in their website https://www.ashleyfurniture.com/p/johan_53_x_76_rug/R402802.html). Just to add my backstory here, I purchased 5600$ worth of home furniture from them in May and they messed up with most of my orders in delivering. First, they committed on delivering my furniture the next week and after 2 weeks when I went to to store they casually checked the system and said, it will come after 1 month. Second, the mattress protector which I was forced to purchase to have my mattress under warranty, ripped within the 2nd day. For all this bad experience, the customer service, gave a 100$ gift card, of course there was a catch that I cannot use this gift card for online products and for on-sale offers.

Finally after 6 months, I needed a rug for my dining table and saw this rug in store. They didn't have the rug in stock, so told me to collect in warehouse or wait for ship to home. With my past experience in their shipping delay, I drove 30 mins and picked it up from warehouse myself. When I came home and placed it on the floor, I realized its not the correct size. Then when taking it back to the store, they clearly told they cannot accept return, because once I collected it from the warehouse, it means I agreed its the right product. They had this rug on display in their store and I told them I can prove it right there that it is a smaller size. Sales person agreed that it may be incorrect size, but that is how corporate has advertised it and I need to take it to corporate. Not with them. Don't know why they even have a store and paying employees when they cannot take care of this.

The only good thing is they agreed to give me extra 20% (store already had 50% off going on) on another rug, but they cannot accept this rug. I had no choice but to pay another 100$ to get this second rug. This is the worst customer service I have seen. Right from my furniture orders in May till date, I have only had bad experience every time when I buy something in Ashley. When I decided to purchase a dining table set, even though I liked a design in Ashley, I took a conscious decision to purchase at living space, just to avoid their bad customer support.

Do yourself a favor and do not make a mistake of purchasing anything from this furniture store. I made a bed purchase on Black Friday event in store, the salesman stated that the bed is in stock and it will be delivered to me in 2 weeks. That was actually the reason why I purchased this bed because it was in stock. Originally I wanted a cheaper bed but he said it was out of stock. Two weeks later I get a phone call that my bed has been back ordered and the original delivery changed to another estimated time of on hold for another 2 weeks. 2 weeks later they change the delivery date again to another week without even telling me. (The reason how I found out was me calling to customer service and dealing with them on the phone).

A lot of times the actual store didn’t even answer the phone call or simply hang up on me, same with customer service. I had to drive to the store physically couple times to see why I have to sleep on mattress for month and a half. Completely unacceptable. So finally I get a notification on my phone that the bed will be delivered on January 4th. Later I figure out that the delivery people went to completely wrong address, when I specified hundred times earlier that I am located in Tucker, GA not Dacula, GA.

My bf had to deal with them on the phone for hours because I was at work all day to figure out who will deliver our bed because they refused by saying they won’t be driving back because they have other deliveries scheduled except ours. After hours on hold and talking to the manager we were finally able to get bed delivered but after what hustle and nerves involved. The cherry on top was two totally high looking delivery drivers who made a hole in my hallway while delivering bed outside. On 10/7/20 my daughter and I went to Ashley’s Home Furniture in Colonial Heights, VA to purchase furniture. The sales rep that assisted us that night was “AP”. He was very nice and helpful! My daughter asked him when to expect delivery since her move in date was on 11/7/20. AP told us that delivery would be 4-6 wks so ordering it then would be “perfect timing.” We purchased a 5pc bedroom set, 4pc sectional, 2 end tables, ottoman, a queen size mattress and base. We were completely satisfied with the purchase AP’s help.

The reason that I am filing a complaint is due to the following. I called Ashley‘s customer service on 10/27 to check the status of delivery. The rep that I spoke with advised me that I would not receive my furniture until 12/22. I informed the rep that I was initially told it would be 4-6 weeks for delivery. She stated “I don’t know why the sales reps keeps telling customers 4-6 weeks. Delivery time is 8-12 weeks right now.” She then said that she could set up a split delivery for me because some of my furniture was in (bedroom set minus the 5 drawer chest, 2 end tables and ottoman). These items would be delivered on 11/19/20. The remainder (sectional and 5 drawer chest) could be delivered on 11/30/20 with no 2nd delivery fee charge and she would note that on the account.

On 11/11/20, I called to check delivery, spoke with a different rep. This rep gave me a delivery date of 12/17/20. I then informed her of the conversation that I had with the last rep, but she didn’t see anything noted in the account about my previous call. She placed me on hold for 15 minutes to speak with a manager. When she returned to the phone she stated that they will set up the split delivery. The bedroom set minus the 5 drawer chest, 2 end tables and ottoman would be delivered on 11/19. I would get a call/text a couple of days prior to confirm the delivery date. The delivery driver would call me the morning of delivery to let me know they are on the way. Before I ended the call, I asked “So, the remainder of my furniture will be delivered on 11/30?” She stated “Yes, ma’am. The sectional and dresser will be in and delivered on that date. With no 2nd delivery fee.”

On 11/19, the first half of furniture was delivered. On 11/27, I called to check and confirm the second delivery. The 3rd rep I spoke with advised me that the remainder of my furniture would not be delivered until 12/22! I informed her that the 2nd rep said she put a note on my account. “I’m sorry, but there isn’t anything noted on the account.” I asked to speak with a manager and was told that I need to go in or speak with someone in the store. I called the store and was told that a manager would call me back. When I did not receive a call, I went to the store, and got the same response.

On 12/22, I called the store and spoke with AP and he told me that the delivery date would be 12/28. I asked if I could cancel the sectional and dresser. He said no since they were ordered and being made especially for me and then said “I am still waiting on my furniture that I ordered as well.” I told him that if I would have known it was going to take this long I would have never placed the order. On 12/26, I called again and was told by a sales rep to expect delivery on 1/5. I called again to speak with a manager but was told that they were in a meeting. I told the sales rep that was not getting of the phone until I spoke with a manager.

After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, I was finally connected with the manager. After expressing my frustration regarding delivery of my furniture, he told me that I wouldn’t receive my furniture until the January 7th or 8th because it has to come from Norfolk then be inspected. This was not at all expected. They keep saying COVID is the reason for the delay of furniture delivery, but I have read and heard experiences others who have purchased furniture from Ashley’s prior to the pandemic. They have all had the same problem. Ashley’s won’t let me cancel the order or give me a credit; which I don’t want. I just want the rest of my furniture! I will never ever shop or buy from at Ashley’s Home Store again.

The delivery date is a moving target with a minimum wait time of another 2 months out. This is the worst service I have ever experience in my history of purchasing furniture. I've made numerous calls and always given different dates when my furniture will be in to be delivered. I also have called the same day and was told different dates by two different representatives. I asked why I was given so many different dates and was told the system is updating every hour. Again, I called today since it's been 3 months with no furniture and was hung up on when I gave my account number. What is more annoying is each call I make I'm on hold to get a representative for at least 30 minutes. I have ordered through Ashley Furniture for the past 20 years and will never order through the company again. The customer service and furniture store is horrible. Not sure if they have new management or what is going on with the furniture store but they are going to lose a ton of business.

I ordered the Bardarson 5 piece sectional order #** from Ashley Furniture store 32 in West Palm Beach, FL on 6/20/20 & was promised full delivery by 6/27. Our items were delivered in 3 intervals with the last one being on August 4th. We did not use the couch until the final piece was delivered & immediately realized that each cushion was extremely thin/lacking padding & lumpy in several areas.

I start calling the store, customer service, & the warranty line & was left on hold for several hours (or disconnected after waiting for several hours) each time. I finally spoke to someone in the warranty department on 9/29, explained the situation & requested a full refund due to the poor quality of the product & breach of the Sales Contract. I was told that wasn’t an option & the best they could do was a home warranty visit to assess the couch which happened on 10/16. The warranty technician Chris immediately determined that all the sectional cushions/cores were very thin, defective, & requested a full replacement for them & that we would receive the new cores by 10/29. This then started another cycle of delays & pieces being delivered on different dates as the final piece was not received until 12/3.

When Chris came again on 11/30, he discovered damage to many of the original cores (including large chunks missing from them), inner liners, & zippers & notated that he nor us could have done any of the damage he discovered, that the cores & liners appeared to be not only damaged but in poor & dated (older than a few months old) conditions, & showed us his notes he was submitting before leaving our property. This is clear proof we were provided not only defective but a used product. When we received the follow-up call from the Warranty division, we again requested a full refund due to what was discovered & the breach of contract & again were told no refunds or credits would be considered despite it being pretty obvious we were provided used & damaged products.

Original Review: I bought a bed from the heartland location in Mississauga, within two months the left side of the bed broke, called customer service who connected me with a technician, had to wait for about a week and a half before I got a call stating that they will replace the side. It has been a little over two months now and I still did not get the side. The best part when I chatted with a customer service rep earlier this morning. She stated that I still have to wait as the manufacturer is in the USA. And nothing else is going to be done about. I ASKED HER THAT I NEED A RESOLUTION NOW AND ALL that GOT IS YOU HAVE TO WAIT.

As customers when we go into ASHLEY stores we get hammered with the number of agents who approach us just to sell us but when we need the help we get told in simple terms ("Nothing we can do for you, you have to wait"). The bed is not going to break me or make Ashley furniture richer. It is the way I was dealt with that matter. Not even a simple apology.

Do you love being passed between different customer service reps without notice only to have someone else picking up the phone and asking how they can help? Do you love being lied to? Do you love your scheduled delivery being canceled more than 10 times each with a phone call on the day of the delivery? Do you love a different part of your order being "missing" every time and therefore rendering the order undeliverable? Then Ashely Furniture is the place for you! Months on months of waiting for our bedframe to arrive only to deal with all of these issues. No one seems to be able to answer simple questions about my order. No cares whether or not they're helping.

No one offers any kind of a solution. Just hand up in the air with a lot of "I don't know what to tell you." I'm not someone who usually gets worked up with customer service, but this company does NOT care. I was left basically in tears by the way I was treated. They take your money and who knows if you'll ever get what you paid for. I still haven't received mine. At all costs avoid Ashley Furniture. They are the WORST.

Ashley store has the worst customer service I have experienced in my whole life. I paid for "premium delivery," and they did not put all screws in the TV stand. Just one person tried to help me after talking for about an hour with different people on the phone. It went to the point that they won't go back to your home to fix their own mess without a big fight (putting furniture with missing parts is common in them so make sure you inspect your furniture really well before sign any paper). The quality of the furniture they sell in their own store is ok but way overpriced, the customer service after they do sell the furniture is completely bad and unacceptable. I prefer to buy in any other store where sell Ashley product (overpriced) furniture but with a lot better customer service than from Ashley.

For two weeks no one could give me an answer on when the rest of my couch would come.... Extremely frustrating.

Finally, I got a new delivery date of 12/4 confirmed by the warehouse and store manager. Ashley sent me a text on 12/1 saying my couch is confirmed for delivery 12/4. I took work off, waited for the couch all morning and nothing. It took 6 phone calls and over two hours of customer service people to find out that for some reason the warehouse is holding my couch and now it's not coming until 12/11. I told them that was unacceptable and got NO resolution. I don't trust anything they tell me and they do not see anything from the customer perspective, only their operational side. As I proceed to the BBB to complain I see they have an F rating with the BBB and all the complaints are pretty much exactly what we are dealing with. We bought a couch and recliner. Delivered Friday. The couch is damaged and the recliner we never took out of the box. We were told we had to call the delivery company to pick our selves so we did. We were told the furniture would be picked up two days later, never was and no phone call.

We have called and called to have them pick up so that we are not charged for damaged furniture they sold and delivered to us. We have done everything that we were told to do twice and have waited for them to call us and pick up the damaged furniture, NO CALL NO PICKUP. Because of COVID -19, this company feels they can treat customers like this because we are not able to come to the store or return the items ourselves, they will wait and wait so that our cards will be charged and we will have to pay for damaged items. This is fraudulent and stealing from the consumer. We will are now being charged for this furniture we are trying to return.

For a week now we have had nothing but bad customer service. Now the assistant manager tells us they are not affiliated with the delivery company yet they deliver the furniture we bought from them. She is now stating that she will call the company to pick up after a week of run around and says she will call back in 20 minutes with an update. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, and the Federal Trade Commission, and will seek any and all legal remedies due to us by our right and in accordance with the consumer protection act. Stay tuned...

I called the number left in the message and spoke with a female who said that the soonest they could deliver was Dec 18th. I questioned why it would take so long to deliver when the item was arriving at the warehouse on Dec 1st, she said that it was not my fault for the back order and she would message the warehouse to deliver my sofa between Dec 2nd - 4th.

On Dec 2nd, I called the same number to inquire the status of my delivery and the person stated that the sofa would not be arriving at the warehouse until Dec26th!!!! I said, that I was already informed that the sofa would be at the warehouse on Dec 1st. She said that there were no notes indicating who I spoke to prior but that I was misinformed, she also stated that I could not currently schedule a delivery time because I had to wait until the sofa actually arrived at the warehouse.... so for all I know, the "in stock" sofa that I ordered on Nov 1 may not arrive at my home until Mid January.... absolutely ridiculous!

Is this the type of product you sell to your customers?? When I called to inquire about the service contract, I learned that it had expired in 2019. I was told by the sales associate when I purchased my living room furniture from Ashley’s that it was pure leather and that I would have a 5 year warranty. Earlier in the year, I began to notice fading and peeling in the back and sides of the cushions. (As shown below). I was assured by the sales person that I had a complete 5 year warranty on this piece of furniture.

We have no children or pets, so there was no excessive use or any reason for damage to this couch. I called customer service and was transferred to three different Ashley service locations, with three different phone numbers. On the second number, I talked to customer service agent Randy and he agreed with me that pure leather would not peel or fade. This lead me to believe that I was not sold the product that I was promised and paid for. It also led me to believe this has happens on a frequent basis.

The last customer service agent I spoke with was Carrie. She did nothing to assist me with this issue. She basically told me that it was not Ashley’s problem and there was nothing she could do or would do to resolve this issue. She informed me that my 5 year warranty was indeed a 4 year warranty, and expired in December of last year of 2019. This is not what I was told time of sale or what my paperwork reflects. Carrie stated that my only option was to receive in store credit to potentially replace my item. Due to the poor quality of past purchases and lack of customer service, I would like my money refunded in full in order to take my business elsewhere. In store credit is not an option. The only other option that I will agree to is the item be replaced with a new one. I hesitate on that, due to the poor quality of the product and Ashely’s failure to take responsibility or assist me.

In November of 2019 my husband and I purchased a sectional from Ashley Furniture. The couch was delivered damaged. When I asked to refuse delivery because of obvious delivery damage, the delivery team informed me that it was not their problem and I would have to take any issues with the product up with the store. They would not allow me to refuse delivery. This should have been the first indication of my experience with Ashley Furniture. I immediately took this to the store. My salesperson informed me that she would have to wait for the return and replacement to be processed and that she would follow back up with updates accordingly. I was assured that there was a one-year warranty on the couch for all things and that we would be taken care of with no problems.

Being distracted with miscarrying a child and subsequently becoming pregnant again then having all things compounded by COVID-19, life happened and time passed quickly. During this time, I was provided an email address from the store to send the information to. We would later be told that this was the incorrect email and to try another. We would additionally be told that both of these email addresses had nothing to do with their return or consumer processes and more to do with social media and their usage for advertising purposes. After the birth of our extremely premature baby, I could not even sit on my couch as the frame was so broken. I returned to the store and was informed that nothing had ever been processed and no return or exchange had been filed for.

A repairman was sent, who neglected and refused to wear a mask in my home with my premature baby. The parts sent had nothing to do with the problem and the repairman informed us that Ashley had no intent to replace any damaged furniture. Upon further escalation, a replacement was deemed necessary. November 29th was set as the time and date for the first available delivery. November 25th I was informed that this would not happen and that December 29th would be the next available date for delivery. We are over a year into the process of trying to utilize a warranty that stands for nothing and is not consumer friendly. I have to purchase a lot of furniture for my new home, however, I will never do business with Ashley Furniture again. That is unfortunate since I have been a customer of theirs for the past 8 years buying a lot of furniture. Furniture Row has always been a good alternative and will get my future purchases.

I am a first time customer of Ashley Furniture HomeStores 1919 Jonesboro Rd. McDonough, GA 30253. I was extremely satisfied with my sales person on November 21, 2020. Tonight when I called the store the phone was answered with "What the hell do you want"! I had to ask several times, "Was this Ashley Furniture?" The lady told me to hold on and never put the phone on hold. She spoke to someone then said "Yes, this is, I'm sorry". I was completely taken off guard from the beginning. I was calling because I could purchase my furniture online from their website at a lower price and better financing plans.

The unprofessionalism was not a one time occurrence with this store. As I was waiting in line there was an elderly woman in front of me at the counter complaining about how she was treated by customer service and when she would call the store. Ashley, has nice furniture but the customer service in McDonough is awful. Even the store manager is unprofessional. My salesman was doing a great job without needing any help. A man came over and sat on the back of a sectional I was looking at and interjected right into our conversation without being solicited to do so. He made me feel very uncomfortable and I thought he was rude!

**, almost lost the sale because of this. I asked ** if he was in training or needed help and he said, "No, why?" I explained how uncomfortable I was and I thought the other guy was rude...He didn't need him to help and I almost didn't complete my purchase. When I suggested for him to say something to the man, ** said he couldn't because it was his BIG boss! That explains how the store is ran and the reason ** answered the phone so unprofessionally! I would use Ashley Furniture HomeStores again, just not in McDonough GA!

The salesman was great but that's where it ended. A recliner had the foot rest crooked & I called the next day after delivery to report it. I requested a new one & was told they couldn't do that. They had to try to repair it first. I wasn't happy about having to accept a repaired chair when I paid for new. So I had to deal with an outside contracted repairman that scheduled a day & time & never showed up. I had to call him again & he finally showed up at 7pm when he had told me 10am. Nobody wants to wait all day. It wasn't repairable & still I couldn't get a new one. They ordered a new footrest mechanism. Then again, I had to wait & wait for the guy to show up to repair it. I've only had this furniture a year & now I see that the leg on one of my chairs is split. A BAD split. Mind you, I live alone with very little company. That chair has been sat in maybe 4 or 5 times. And not by heavy people. So disappointed in the quality I paid for.

I purchased an entire living room set on July 10, 2020 with a delivery date in 3 months. After that date in October passed we were given a date of November 27th. Got a call today saying JANUARY 12, 2021. I could have ordered custom furniture in that time. Very very VERY disappointed and frustrated. We did get a full refund from them today but they had our money for almost 5 months, interest free, and zero results from it. Very dissatisfied. If you want furniture in a reasonable amount of time, this is not the place for you.

I never ever write bad reviews, but this experience has been mind blowing in the worse way. We ordered and paid for our furniture on July 17. It was finally delivered on November 19 of weeks of telling us it was coming in. Then, we sit in the chair for the first time, it fell in. Nothing was broken, they had not nailed the bottom in (nails aren't even through the wood, it just did not get nailed in. I call immediately, first, the girl wouldn't give any update on when we would hear or what we would be told, etc. My husband called her back and asked for a date and she said send pictures to an email and she would call back immediately. So we did. She called back and then said someone would call. Monday comes, no call. I call today, and instead of looking at my order, they give me the technician area's phone number and said they would have information now.

I call them, they said there is no work order. They told me to call that line back. I did, the first girl had put it in the wrong portal....so they finally fixed it. The technician has now texted. December 10 is the earliest time that a technician can come fix it!!!! 21 weeks it will be since we purchased the chair. 18 weeks was not long enough to apparently make it and make it the right way. I am beyond frustrated. I completely understand Covid has been an issue, but to have that long of a time and then send it not completed- absolutely ridiculous. You had no issue of taking my money, Covid wasn't an issue for that process. It's not an issue of going in and looking at the furniture or purchasing. But it is an issue with ordering, delivering, making it like it should be, then when it comes wrong, correcting the problem. I will never shop here again.

I never went into the store upset over the 18 weeks, I waited patiently, and every week was told by the sales representative (who is a rock star with delivering bad news) that he has no idea what is going on, but that the company moved the date out again and again and again. I know he hated to make that call for 17 weeks in a row. I did ask could we just get a refund (on the 14th week), but I was told we would have to pay a restocking fee.... What restocking fee? It clearly wasn't stocked! Finally, the 18th week, he said we would be getting a call for delivery. We would love to just be done with the awful wait and situation, but instead, we just can't use it....

And the only other thing that concerns me, why would it take that long for a technician to come out? Does all your furniture have that many issues that they are booked until then? I went into the store that day so excited because we had saved up for a long time to pay cash, picked out what we thought was perfect, left confident that we would have our furniture by Labor day, here it is Thanksgiving, we finally have it and can't use it. We may not even have it usable until Christmas. So I guess we sit on the floor from now on. Thanks Ashley Furniture for an unforgettable experience. We wanted to upgrade each room with new furniture, and we can guarantee it won't be with you.

When I was younger I couldn't afford to buy furniture of this quality so I shopped at stores like Value City and the pleather would wear within a year. Also the wood chipped much faster. As you get older you don't want to have to replace your furniture as frequently so you want to purchase something more durable. To this day I tell all my friends who come over and compliment me on my furniture, how satisfied I am with the quality of my furniture and I would recommend them to anybody!

For anyone contemplating purchasing from Ashley's Furniture in Bend, OR I would HIGHLY recommend NOT doing it! Last night, while trying to go to bed, our cat Sloan was playing around with our other cat Wilson. He ran under the recliner and was then caught in the actuator. His fur AND skin was pulled in and we could NOT get him out. My husband, John, had to take apart the motor and remove it from the chair (all while Sloan was still attached to it). The gap on the actuator is much larger than it should be, about 3x wider than that of other manufacturers, which can allow for a small animal or finger/toe to get stuck in it and cause serious harm.

We spoke at length with the manager at the Bend store, Mark H. We advised him that we just purchased this chair in April, now due to the unsafe mechanism in the chair we had to completely disassemble it, which leave it not working. He refused to do ANYTHING for us, telling us it was the CATS FAULT!!! Both John, and I were injured in the process of removing Sloan from this faulty piece of equipment, and the poor kitty is bruised, sore and terrified! I can imagine we are not the only people that this has happened to, and we probably won't be the last! Seriously disgusted with their lack of customer service.

I would give 0 stars if I could. (I’ll try to be as concise as possible.) I ordered a couch, 2 desks, a bookcase, 2 desk chairs, a 5 piece sectional and an ottoman at end of July 2020. Was told by and given in writing, by the sales girl, that delivery date would be 9/3/20 for the couch and that the bookcase and desks were in stock and could be delivered within the next 2 weeks, but we decided to wait and have the whole order delivered on the same date. Date came and went and no delivery and no contact. We contacted store and spoke with assist. Mgr, Buddy, who was rude and stated that they don’t give delivery dates and they are telling everyone 6-8 weeks and we are in that time window and would just have to wait.

Called back the next day and spoke with store mgr, Bryant, and he apologized for assist mgr and gave the excuse for his rudeness as that he was ex military???. He stated that sales girl was new and shouldn’t have given us a delivery date and offered a partial delivery on date of 9/12/20. We contacted warehouse ourselves and were told that no delivery date was on record with them. They stated that they could deliver our partial delivery on 9/19/20. We called the store mgr back and he said that there was a glitch In the computer system and every time he looked at our order, it must change our delivery date.

We were later contacted by Louisville warehouse again and stated they didn’t have our items in stock (which they and the store had both previously said were in stock) and our new delivery date would be 11/19/20 and they’d be in contact with us. The store manager offered us a $100 refund for the inconvenience. We never got it. My husband contacted the manager 3x regarding us not receiving the refund. Each time, he stated that he had put it through and would do it again. We just went to store this weekend to check on our delivery date since it’s coming up and no one had contacted us and the store mgr told us that our new date is 12/18/20. He also doesn’t remember offering us the $100 but “if you say so I’ll do it”.

We had decided to start looking elsewhere and he offered us $400 to wait. We told him it wasn’t about the money but the poor customer service and left the store. We returned to the store later and as we walked into the doors, a voicemail popped up on my husband's phone from Ashley. We went on in and told the mgr we wanted to cancel our bookcase and desks. He said ok and stated that he would do that right then. And then said that he had just called to tell us he had refunded us $400. We said we still wanted to cancel the items as it had been so long, we no longer needed them. He proceeded with the refund and said that if he had known that we were going to cancel items, he wouldn’t have given us the $400 but that our order was still big enough that it was ok.

He printed me a receipt where he highlighted the $400 amount and wrote at the bottom “please refund $400 to credit card to save sale” and then he printed me a 2nd receipt that he highlighted the $541.85 which he typed at the bottom “please refund $541.85 cancelled do not need anymore”. We watched for refund and we received it back on our card in 2 amounts, the 1st amount for $400 and the 2nd for $141.85. (Not 541.85 as my receipt stated) and after further exploring the receipts I realized that they had the exact same invoice/sales order. We would have been perfectly fine if they had not been deceitful through this entire process. Poor customer service doesn’t begin to describe what we have received.

(Also I asked for the name of the upper management to which none of the sales staff would give me stating that they didn’t know who that would be or who I could contact. I had to go through chat and call 2 different number to learn that the Richmond store owner is Chad ** and the home office number is 830-515-1400 to which I am waiting on a return call from currently).
