On November 9, 2020, we purchased a large amount of furniture totaling $15,286.18 from Ashley Homestore. The delivery date was scheduled the week of 12/22/2020 which is on our receipt and I was told the same when I called the store and spoke to a sales associate. I called the store a few days before to make sure that we were on schedule and was told that our delivery wouldn't be until Jan/Feb of 2021. We were furious at this point because we were never notified of this change. My husband went to the store and talk to the manager and he was told that we couldn't get our money back.

My husband also mentioned that if we had known up front that it would take this long, we would not have even consider purchasing anything from this store. We needed this furniture before the holidays. We called again two days ago and was told the delivery to the warehouse would be in February 2021. I don't understand how this is legal and they can get away with keeping our money. We need serious help in retrieving our money!

Ordered a sectional in July 2020, never received a call that it was ready. Finally got through to a customer service rep in January 2021 who said "oh it's been ready for a long time". Ashley delivered the sectional 3 times with the end pieces backwards. When I told them I wanted a discount for all the incompetence they said no so I told them to take the couch back. Ashley Home Store in Fredericksburg, VA manager will not call me so he had an employee call to tell me "we can't discount anything". By far the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced or even heard of. I would discourage everyone from buying at Ashley furniture.

When you buy furniture from Ashley online, they do not take your money at the time you buy it. Every 6 days until your furniture ships, they go into your payment type (in my situation it was my checking account as I used a debit card) and hold the funds. They then release them and place another hold for 6 days and this continues until your furniture ships. The probelm/s with that is that first of all, they have access to my account every 6 days, a huge exposure for error. Secondly, my bank has a daily $3000 limit on transactions to prevent theft, and on the day they go into my account and freeze the funds, I cannot purchase anything else. Who does that!!??

When I asked why they don't just take the money when I buy the furniture, they didn't have an answer.... I asked to whose benefit would this be, and again, they could not answer. They just stated legally they cannot hold my funds for more than 6 days. I begged them to let me pay for the furniture and be done with it, and they would not let me. This seems really shady and almost illegal to me. Why would they do that? I don't know, so, I am staying away.

Purchased several items of furniture in October 2020. We understood there were delays in receiving the items. When I called last fall I was told the love seat would come in 12/23/20, sofa 12/28/20 and chair would come in 1/23/21. They asked if they could delay our delivery until all three items came in. I agreed. I called today 1/24/21 as all three items should have been in. No one contacted me. I spoke to Vanessa on the phone today for store service. She said none of the items were in and expected delivery date was 2/2/21, 2/3/21, 2/4/21 and my new delivery date was 2/15/21. I asked why no one advised us of delay. I paid cash and money could have collected interest in my account. I was told the new delivery date was subject to change.

I called our salesman and he said he would check on it. I asked for a refund of the$350 delivery fee. I was told I could get half of that or $175. I told him that was not acceptable. I have my suspicions since it has been three months. They must have given my items to someone else. After all they couldn’t even promise me a February delivery (four months). I got the usual excuses about covid, etc. The salesman kept asking me why I didn’t contact him sooner? He asked at least four times like it was my fault somehow. That’s right. Blame the customer!

I told him I trusted them when they said the items would be in on 1/23/21. I kept telling him I trusted them. I asked why I keep seeing advertisements for Ashley sales when they can’t even take care of their cash paying customers and deliver the goods. No adequate answers. I told him I want delivery now for each individual piece. So if that means three delivery dates so be it. I don’t think it is unreasonable to be upset.

We paid cash, expected items. Two of them to be in for December & no one contacted us otherwise even though they realize now I am upset. They refuse to give me a delivery refund of 100%. That is very poor customer recovery. I doubt I will ever shop there again. The day we shopped we couldn’t complete the cash register transaction because it kept saying we lived in Yoruba Linda not Mentone. We finally had to list our old residence in Victorville to get the transaction done. Nothing but lip service. Be aware! They fail to honor their customers the ones that sustain their jobs for them! Really disappointed!!! Greedy Ashley.

My daughter and I both bought love seat and couch set Black Friday of 2019..Good thing was they did price match..Bad part is we have had them for only slightly over a year and they are falling apart. Padding on the footrest of the recliners is worn down where you can feel every board, one of the foot boards on the recliner totally popped off, on the arm rest of the love seat the side panel is broken, there is no support on the cushions that have been used. Will never buy from there again.

If you are trying to buy disposable furniture Ashley Furniture is the place to go. The items will last you just long enough to get them out of the 1 year warranty period. My fiance purchased a couch and a recliner from the Ashley Homestore at: 2331 Hwy K., O'Fallon, MO 63368 in October 2018. Within 2 yrs 2 of the 3 couch cushions had gone completely flat and had become uncomfortable. The Recliner was not used very often but it still fell apart in January 2021. It had been used perhaps a total of 30 times. The recliner was of especially poor quality as the seat frame had not been put together with nails or screws but with weak staples. These staples completely pulled out of the cheap wooden frame and the seat of the recliner collapsed showering the floor with broken staples and wood shavings.

When I called to inquire about having the manufacturers defect repaired I was told they do not give free estimates even if I send in pictures of the damage and was told that to send a repair person to give an estimate would cost $130 for the first hour and the total repair would cost more. I would stay away from purchasing anything from this company they do not stand behind their products and after looking at the quality of product I received an can understand why. They are selling cheaply made furniture and hoping customers don't complain. BEWARE.

We bought our furniture online and everything has been wrong. They sent us furniture and we paid for delivery and setup. They didn't set anything up. They just left it in our room in boxes. We ordered a bedroom set and they only sent half the order. We called to get a refund on $150 because they did not put everything together and they fought us tooth and nail to get it. Also our foundations were 2 different sizes. We bought a king size bed so the foundations come in 2 so they can fit through the door. We called. It took 4 weeks to come to replace it and they brought us a queen size. And took the other.

My mother in law was here to accept because they would not allow us to schedule the exchange. They told us take the time frame or leave it. They didn't care. So I called for them to come back and pick it up and they hung up on me 3 times and then told me they would but never came. I'm so done. This company needs to be shut down and I hope this will keep other hard working people from buying from them and getting screwed over.

I purchased an Olsberg Sectional from Ashley Furniture showroom in South St. Louis County. Before purchasing the item, the salesperson allowed me to take home a pillow from the sectional to compare colors with existing furniture, walls, etc. The color on their showroom floor was a tan buck color. I liked the color, and purchased the item. When the sectional was delivered I noticed it was not tan at all, rather silver in color, and it didn't match my home whatsoever. I told the delivery guys the color was wrong, but when I went online to look at colors I found there is only one color offered. So I accepted delivery thinking perhaps the lighting in my home wasn't the same as the day I brought home the pillow. I then took one of the pillows off the sectional that was delivered and took it to the store for comparison. The color is way off!!

Two salespeople were helping me, and both agree it is not the same color at all. They advised I speak with Customer Service at their home office, and so I emailed them that very day. I waited over seven days for a response, so I called them. They did not offer a refund, rather reselecting something from the showroom. If I wanted something else from the showroom, I would have purchased something else. So I went back to the store to talk to another manager. That is when I had the most horrible customer service experience.

I spoke to Debbie, who claimed she was a manager. I brought the pillow with me and I showed her pictures of what was delivered, compared to showroom sample. She firmly said she was NOT going to walk over to the floor sample to compare colors, she was NOT going to take both pillows outside to compare colors, and furthermore the colors looked the same to her. She must be colorblind!

She spoke to me in a way that I felt like she was purposely trying to get me to lose my temper. She called another manager over, who agreed with me about the color variance. He offered a full refund or discount but advised it would have to be approved by the home office. That's when Debbie took things over again. She resent my email to customer service with a few notes of her own. She did not CC me in the email, so who knows what she told them. C/S then called me to say I could reselect, but no refund. This was the first and last time I will ever shop at Ashley Furniture.

Shortly after the delivery men left, I started to put a net over the canopy and discovered that throughout the furniture there were areas where there were chips which was reported and they said that neither the warranty nor the insurance I was pressured into buying would cover the defective furniture. In addition, the prices being offered by Ashley compared to AFW are exorbitantly inflated.

The delivery men were shoving the cell phone for me to sign while the representative was asking me whether the furniture was in showroom condition and I looked at the set. And it looked fine but I didn’t inspect it because I saw the chipping after they left. However, even though the company said that their furniture has a warranty it’s set up by design that the insurance doesn’t cover defect furniture and neither does the additional insurance they shove down your throat. Don’t buy this set as it is poorly manufactured by a company that hires contract employees to deliver substandard furniture rotting in the warehouse. Run. Don’t walk to another furniture store....

I wish I could give negative stars on Ashley furniture Claims department and the Furniture itself. I'm sure by the end of this comment I will have 100,000 words unsaid but I will try to forewarn everyone of my personal experience. I purchased the Wyndahl Set of bedroom furniture on 4/27/2020, my first time ever buying from Ashley.... MISTAKE! The set plus mattress cost $$$$ which was OK for a great set that would last us years to come. BUTTT, after delivery and set up I noticed a few drawers were crooked and cabinet doors as well. Was that something I could have lived with? Sure, it wasn't too noticeable. After all, anything man made is not perfect.

After delivery on 6/9/202 I was decorating and plugging in our lamps on each side of the side tables. As I plugged in the lamp into the outlet I noticed it did not work. With further investigation, I noticed the breaker on the house was tripped. After I flipped the breaker on the house I went to plug the side table back into the wall outlet, then proceed to plug the lamp into the table outlet. Well, that didn't go as planned, as I was plugging into the wall receptacle flames arced and the house breaker immediately tripped again. I did further investigation and made sure it was not a faulty plug on the house by plugging a hairdryer and the lamp in the same receptacle, there were no problems detected. I also took measures of moving the entire table to other locations in the home to test it on other receptacles, same problem every time.

I call Customer service Claims and warranty department on 6/9/2020 and explain the situation. After Explaining, the lady argues with me that it is not indeed the table, It was the electrical in my home. I assured her it was not issues with my electrical. A few days go by and I spoke with my electrician, he came and inspected and also confirmed it was not the home that, "in fact" the table receptacle was faulty. During those few days more problems occurred as the dresser knob pulled straight off, bed slats started cracking and falling apart. 6/18/2020 No parts or repairman, By this time the Small 3 bed slats have now broken completely into and the bed was now sleeping in a U shape because of no support.

After a few restless nights my husband had to disassemble the bed and literally remove the broken slats and sit our box springs on the floor that were now a permanent U shape. 6/18/2020 I send pictures to the department of the damaged pieces and the response I was given was that the mattress and box springs were sold "as Is" and could not be refunded or swapped because of the damage their broken furniture caused.

After a lot of headaches with this dealing and now by this time backaches too, my husband decided to step in and request them just to accept a return on the furniture after $$$$ it is literally useless to us, the lady replied that "she would have to contact a higher up and get back in touch with us." 5 months Go by and only the receptacle was repaired. During the month of November 3 new bed slats were delivered. It is currently 1/17/2021 and my mattress and box springs are literally sitting on the floor and no knobs on my dresser. This was large amount of money to spend on a bedroom suite for only one single item not to be defective out of 8 and 6 are still not repaired or replaced and the issued arose immediately after delivery.

I beg you to read this review before ever deciding to work with this company. Let me start by saying this has been (October - present) the absolute worst customer service experience I've had or will ever have in my life. GO TO ANY OTHER COMPANY BESIDES Ashley for the following reasons:

-Everything is back ordered (good luck getting your purchases anytime soon). I placed my order at the beginning of October and have received half my items. The dresser I ordered (kinda important right) -- that I found out is delayed until March. Nothing like waiting 5 months minimum!

-The best part is you have absolutely no idea when you're going to be receiving your stuff. This is because when you call into the customer service team 10 different people will tell you 10 different answers. This is a very IMPORTANT point -- you will spend months upon months running in circles trying to get stuff figured out

-Two items of the furniture that have been delivered were damaged. I also had a delivery guy install one of the pieces of furniture incorrectly. I'm sorry, sir, isn't that literally your one job in this whole process? One would figure these should be easy fixes -- call their FANTASTIC (lol) customer service team who will arrange for the item to be replaced and the other item to be correctly assembled. At the very least maybe a technician comes out and tries to fix the damages first. Both of those options would make too much sense when it comes to the folks at Ashley. I spent ~10 phone calls totaling 5 hours to try and get either option arranged.

-I was told "everything is confirmed" and "we're all good" only to call in a couple days later to have a new customer service rep tell me that no service order or exchange request was created. The perpetual "groundhog day" effect of having the same conversation over and over and over again with no problems actually being solved.

-I was also told when I purchased the furniture that I would be contacted as soon as the furniture arrives at the warehouse. Yet I find myself every single week having to call in and ask for an update -- only to once again get 5 different answers on estimations for delivery. Who doesn't LOVE to be told your furniture is getting delivered on X date only to call in a couple days later to confirm and to have the rep tell you that no delivery date was ever scheduled. Wasn't scheduled.... what did I just spend an hour two days ago discussing with a different rep?

-It's so sad to say the BEST part of the customer service team is the ~30 minutes you have to wait to actually speak with someone. It gives you time to mentally prepare yourself for the hell you're about to be put through and the lies you're about to be told.

I don't believe this company should be in business -- I can't believe this is how they treat people that spend money on their products. They have run me around in circles for months and at this point I'm drained. I'm reading other reviews with the exact same stories, so I ask if this has happened to you to please respond to this and share your experiences. How many negative reviews do you have to receive before finally deciding that enough is enough? One final message to Ashley HomeStore -- this isn't rocket science, FIGURE IT OUT.

Instead of just replacing that component, I had to re-pack all the components, return them and not get the correct ones until they received the return and placed the new order, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE since upon arrival of the new system, we removed the current system assuming the order was correct. After over an hour on the phone with customer service and speaking with supervisors, we had absolutely no satisfaction with getting the issue resolved. Noticed several large chips in the wood on the desk when I first unpackaged it, disappointing but not a deal breaker for me. Went to put the desk together… but the package was missing the screws to attach the legs (which took Ashley TEN days to ship to me). After receiving the screws/putting the desk together noticed nearly all of the slats were uneven and incredibly poorly made. It’s to the extent I have to be careful putting a drink down on the desk because they are so uneven it will cause my glass to tip over.

Didn’t get offered a refund because I waited so long to complain about the Slats (seeing as it took ten days to get the screws to put the desk together and notice the slats….). Was offered a conciliatory rebate which they never actually processed. Emailed the guy who promised me a rebate and radio silence. In sum, worst quality furniture I have ever purchased and terrible customer service that is downright dishonest. Thanks a lot (sarcasm) ** @ashleyfurniture.com

On the 3rd delivery finally in January, they delivered product that was in a damaged, incorrect box. I tried to refuse the shipment based on what the representative had told me to do prior to the delivery. The Ashley Furniture crew was the ones who dropped off and told me they would not allow me to refuse the shipment, signed my name on their customer signature and drove off.

I have wasted HOURS of my time on the phone trying to make this right and have asked for a manager numerous times to give me a call back. Since the customer service representative told me they are all working from home due to COVID, they couldn't connect me to a manager (shocking because they can connect me to other people in other departments working at home). I requested a call back multiple times with no manager call back even though it has been months of requests. I am beyond furious and will NEVER purchase from Ashley Furniture EVER again. I will be sure to tell everyone I know to never buy from them either. Worst buying experience of my life!

HORRIBLE!! Overcharged and deceived. I would hope all stores don’t operate the same! The entire sale was built on false pretenses and dishonesty. 1. Went in for a sofa. Advised sales guy that the online price was hundreds of dollars cheaper. He said no problem. He will honor the online price. He then sold me a $600 mattress and offered me a “bundled discount” if I purchase both items. LIE! 2. When I got home and went over my invoice I noticed he didn’t give me the online price which was CHEAPER than any “discount” he claimed. So I didn’t benefit $1 from the mattress purchase! 3. He didn’t honor a 20% coupon I had because he was giving me a “bundled deal” and couldn’t add discounts. Yet I was overcharged and never received any discount by adding mattress.

    4. When I called customer svc to ask about the 10yr warranty the sales guy claimed came with mattress (didn’t receive any documentation). The customer svc rep stated memory foam mattress only comes with 1 year! The rep was rude and unprofessional! He told me he had “no control over” what they told me at the store. Wow! Do any of these people get any training! 5. When opening credit line sales guy told me the payment will be on auto pay. Great .... however I was charged late fees because this was not true either! I’m disgusted. WORST furniture experience EVER!!!. Sales guy was unprofessional and thought I wouldn’t catch him on his deception. More focused on getting a date than doing his job!! I had better service from WAYFAIR. That’s a shame bc Ashley’s has nice furniture and the quality seems good.

They have advertised this Johan rug as 5'3# * 7'6#, but the dimensions were only 133*205 cm (4'3# * 6*7) (Note: it's still shown with incorrect dimensions in their website https://www.ashleyfurniture.com/p/johan_53_x_76_rug/R402802.html). Just to add my backstory here, I purchased 5600$ worth of home furniture from them in May and they messed up with most of my orders in delivering. First, they committed on delivering my furniture the next week and after 2 weeks when I went to to store they casually checked the system and said, it will come after 1 month. Second, the mattress protector which I was forced to purchase to have my mattress under warranty, ripped within the 2nd day. For all this bad experience, the customer service, gave a 100$ gift card, of course there was a catch that I cannot use this gift card for online products and for on-sale offers.

Finally after 6 months, I needed a rug for my dining table and saw this rug in store. They didn't have the rug in stock, so told me to collect in warehouse or wait for ship to home. With my past experience in their shipping delay, I drove 30 mins and picked it up from warehouse myself. When I came home and placed it on the floor, I realized its not the correct size. Then when taking it back to the store, they clearly told they cannot accept return, because once I collected it from the warehouse, it means I agreed its the right product. They had this rug on display in their store and I told them I can prove it right there that it is a smaller size. Sales person agreed that it may be incorrect size, but that is how corporate has advertised it and I need to take it to corporate. Not with them. Don't know why they even have a store and paying employees when they cannot take care of this.

The only good thing is they agreed to give me extra 20% (store already had 50% off going on) on another rug, but they cannot accept this rug. I had no choice but to pay another 100$ to get this second rug. This is the worst customer service I have seen. Right from my furniture orders in May till date, I have only had bad experience every time when I buy something in Ashley. When I decided to purchase a dining table set, even though I liked a design in Ashley, I took a conscious decision to purchase at living space, just to avoid their bad customer support.

Do yourself a favor and do not make a mistake of purchasing anything from this furniture store. I made a bed purchase on Black Friday event in store, the salesman stated that the bed is in stock and it will be delivered to me in 2 weeks. That was actually the reason why I purchased this bed because it was in stock. Originally I wanted a cheaper bed but he said it was out of stock. Two weeks later I get a phone call that my bed has been back ordered and the original delivery changed to another estimated time of on hold for another 2 weeks. 2 weeks later they change the delivery date again to another week without even telling me. (The reason how I found out was me calling to customer service and dealing with them on the phone).

A lot of times the actual store didn’t even answer the phone call or simply hang up on me, same with customer service. I had to drive to the store physically couple times to see why I have to sleep on mattress for month and a half. Completely unacceptable. So finally I get a notification on my phone that the bed will be delivered on January 4th. Later I figure out that the delivery people went to completely wrong address, when I specified hundred times earlier that I am located in Tucker, GA not Dacula, GA.

My bf had to deal with them on the phone for hours because I was at work all day to figure out who will deliver our bed because they refused by saying they won’t be driving back because they have other deliveries scheduled except ours. After hours on hold and talking to the manager we were finally able to get bed delivered but after what hustle and nerves involved. The cherry on top was two totally high looking delivery drivers who made a hole in my hallway while delivering bed outside. I never experienced such a poor customer service from the beginning to the end. Never again Ashley Furniture.

I ordered a replacement couch on 11/24/2020. With an expected delivery of 12/31. I started receiving calls on 12/24. On day they would tell me I had a delay. The next day they would call to schedule. I would have to call customer service each time. This has been going on for about 10 days. Every time I call I receive different information. If I called back the same day I would get different information. Today was the worst. I received a call after I received a call yesterday to schedule my delivery. This call told me They have no ETA on when I will receive my furniture and it could take 12 weeks. I am tired of the run around with this company. They have wasted too much of my time and I still have a broken couch.

They told us 12 weeks max. Believe me I understand COVID 19. I have loved ones that have had it. That is always the answer when you call why is it January 5 months later and still no furniture. Worse yet they delivered part of it and half of it was broken in the box and the poor delivery men were scared to say they could not assemble it. I just have to say as a customer be honest and from the beginning I could have had furniture a long time ago.

Like I said they cashed the check so quickly and still no furniture 5 months later. I have a call into their national head quarters to get a full refund. So so disappointed they have lost my business and so many people I know, because even with COVID 19 as their excuse they never had the customers interest first which is sad. We are the ones that keep them open even during a terrible pandemic. Ashley Furniture will never cash another check from me or anyone I know.

Not one email or return phone call. I ask for refund multiple times and Ashley finally said they will not refund anything, only trade out. Being retired I figured I was holding 3 aces and this was in my favor. I was going to be a sticker in their foot. I tried to be at my best but Ashley continued to blow smoke up my skirt, so to speak. I finally went to the Corp. office loaded with pictures and documents. Explained to them I was getting a refund by the end of day or else plan b was going to be implemented. By the time I returned home from meeting with a Ashley Rep. I had a email stating my refund was in process. Ten days later I received a refund check.

I was lied to so many times I couldn’t keep up with them. The customer service on the phone is terrible. They just tell you what you want to hear. I’ve never in 63 yrs been treated like this from a business. It was quite the experience. Wasted a lot of time, theirs and mine. The Ashley store was located in New Braunfels, Tx. October came and went, no call. I call customer service and am told mid November. November came and went, no call. I call in early December and they say 2 weeks, great! Just in time for Christmas... schedule delivery for December 19th. Got our 3 hour window and it came and went, no call. Now we can't call back until Tuesday because customer service is closed Sunday and Monday, hahaha!!! We call. They say it will be delivered December 24th, a little inconvenient, but okay, cool.

We call the 24th to confirm, apparently that delivery date was pushed to December 30th. Get a text yesterday with our 3 hour window. I call to confirm this time because I canceled an appointment... get this... the couch hasn't been manufactured yet and is now not available until mid February... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! On 10/7/20 my daughter and I went to Ashley’s Home Furniture in Colonial Heights, VA to purchase furniture. The sales rep that assisted us that night was “AP”. He was very nice and helpful! My daughter asked him when to expect delivery since her move in date was on 11/7/20. AP told us that delivery would be 4-6 wks so ordering it then would be “perfect timing.” We purchased a 5pc bedroom set, 4pc sectional, 2 end tables, ottoman, a queen size mattress and base. We were completely satisfied with the purchase AP’s help.

The reason that I am filing a complaint is due to the following. I called Ashley‘s customer service on 10/27 to check the status of delivery. The rep that I spoke with advised me that I would not receive my furniture until 12/22. I informed the rep that I was initially told it would be 4-6 weeks for delivery. She stated “I don’t know why the sales reps keeps telling customers 4-6 weeks. Delivery time is 8-12 weeks right now.” She then said that she could set up a split delivery for me because some of my furniture was in (bedroom set minus the 5 drawer chest, 2 end tables and ottoman). These items would be delivered on 11/19/20. The remainder (sectional and 5 drawer chest) could be delivered on 11/30/20 with no 2nd delivery fee charge and she would note that on the account.

On 11/11/20, I called to check delivery, spoke with a different rep. This rep gave me a delivery date of 12/17/20. I then informed her of the conversation that I had with the last rep, but she didn’t see anything noted in the account about my previous call. She placed me on hold for 15 minutes to speak with a manager. When she returned to the phone she stated that they will set up the split delivery. The bedroom set minus the 5 drawer chest, 2 end tables and ottoman would be delivered on 11/19. I would get a call/text a couple of days prior to confirm the delivery date. The delivery driver would call me the morning of delivery to let me know they are on the way. Before I ended the call, I asked “So, the remainder of my furniture will be delivered on 11/30?” She stated “Yes, ma’am. The sectional and dresser will be in and delivered on that date. With no 2nd delivery fee.”

On 11/19, the first half of furniture was delivered. On 11/27, I called to check and confirm the second delivery. The 3rd rep I spoke with advised me that the remainder of my furniture would not be delivered until 12/22! I informed her that the 2nd rep said she put a note on my account. “I’m sorry, but there isn’t anything noted on the account.” I asked to speak with a manager and was told that I need to go in or speak with someone in the store. I called the store and was told that a manager would call me back. When I did not receive a call, I went to the store, and got the same response.

On 12/22, I called the store and spoke with AP and he told me that the delivery date would be 12/28. I asked if I could cancel the sectional and dresser. He said no since they were ordered and being made especially for me and then said “I am still waiting on my furniture that I ordered as well.” I told him that if I would have known it was going to take this long I would have never placed the order. On 12/26, I called again and was told by a sales rep to expect delivery on 1/5. I called again to speak with a manager but was told that they were in a meeting. I told the sales rep that was not getting of the phone until I spoke with a manager.

After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, I was finally connected with the manager. After expressing my frustration regarding delivery of my furniture, he told me that I wouldn’t receive my furniture until the January 7th or 8th because it has to come from Norfolk then be inspected. This was not at all expected. They keep saying COVID is the reason for the delay of furniture delivery, but I have read and heard experiences others who have purchased furniture from Ashley’s prior to the pandemic. They have all had the same problem. Ashley’s won’t let me cancel the order or give me a credit; which I don’t want. I just want the rest of my furniture! I will never ever shop or buy from at Ashley’s Home Store again.

Our items were delivered in 3 intervals with the last one being on August 4th. We did not use the couch until the final piece was delivered & immediately realized that each cushion was extremely thin/lacking padding & lumpy in several areas.

I start calling the store, customer service, & the warranty line & was left on hold for several hours (or disconnected after waiting for several hours) each time. I finally spoke to someone in the warranty department on 9/29, explained the situation & requested a full refund due to the poor quality of the product & breach of the Sales Contract. I was told that wasn’t an option & the best they could do was a home warranty visit to assess the couch which happened on 10/16. The warranty technician Chris immediately determined that all the sectional cushions/cores were very thin, defective, & requested a full replacement for them & that we would receive the new cores by 10/29. This then started another cycle of delays & pieces being delivered on different dates as the final piece was not received until 12/3.

When Chris came again on 11/30, he discovered damage to many of the original cores (including large chunks missing from them), inner liners, & zippers & notated that he nor us could have done any of the damage he discovered, that the cores & liners appeared to be not only damaged but in poor & dated (older than a few months old) conditions, & showed us his notes he was submitting before leaving our property. This is clear proof we were provided not only defective but a used product. When we received the follow-up call from the Warranty division, we again requested a full refund due to what was discovered & the breach of contract & again were told no refunds or credits would be considered despite it being pretty obvious we were provided used & damaged products.

That date came and gone and subsequently they rescheduled me now 6 times and no delivery still.  They refused to let me cancel.  Ashley HomeStore breached our Sales Contract, because they can’t deliver my order by the date they promised. When I hadn't heard anything regarding delivery, I called to check status only to find delivery had been split into two dates, both being several weeks after the original delivery date. No communication regarding change of date, lack of stock, etc. Ashley really needs to improve their communication to customers rather than leaving them in the dark.

I purchased two reclining sofas and a protection plan May 2019. Several months later the padding in the cushions started to shift and the sofas made a squeaking noise when reclining. Ashley replaced everything. A few months later the same thing happened and Ashley would not fix the sofas because it is after the one year store warranty and the protection plan is useless because it will not cover the cushions shifting. The cushions are stationary and not removable.

I did speak to a customer service rep who said they will repair the sofas. Ashley did send replacement cushions and mechanisms as a courtesy but said the person I spoke with made a mistake and they will not fix the couches. I would have to find my own repair person. I emailed and mailed a letter to the CEO and have not heard back. I will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture because they do not stand behind their defective products. I had the brand new couches a short time and the same issues occurred twice. If I could I would give them zero stars.

This was on a Wednesday, but the earliest they can send another one is on the next Tuesday and they can't leave the other table until they bring the other one back. Paid $945 for this table and least they could've done was give me an earlier delivery date or keep the other one there until they bring the new one knowing that I have kids and this is a new home and I do not have any furnitures. Ashley Furniture is A Joke. I purchased a lift chair about 6 months or less. I purchased the warranty as well. The chair support is broken down. They had a guy who came and over stuffed it. With myself having my right hip replacement in May 2020, my left in July 2020, and emergency back surgery in Sept 2020. When the guy added the stuffing in the chair, I had no idea it would be the worse thing ever for my back. My back Spazzed out from the overstuffed chair. I’ve had to go to the doctors twice due to the extreme pain from back spasms, with this chair being overstuffed. This chair is my life line. Support is Key!!

So I thought for sure Ashley would back up their product and since I spent extra for the Warranty. Nope. They said, "Sorry, you overused your chair." Wow. You're kidding me. Don’t Buy from Ashley’s. It took me over ten calls and four days to get anyone to respond and call me back. Plus to hear them say, "I’m sorry we're unable to help you for people don’t sit in a chair often." I’m not a heavy person or even a big person. What the heck. I should of ordered from Wayfair. He knew nothing about the product and had to resort to calling another store for answers to our questions. Then he only sold us ONE bed base, instead of the two needed for a king bed. One of his salespeople caught it, and he came running out of the store to catch us as we were getting ready to leave.

The "white glove delivery" was a joke. The two guys put the bed frames together, handed us the paperwork for our signature & left. They couldn't tell us anything about the remote control, and left one of the cords lying on my nightstand. In addition, I later discovered numerous boxes, cords, etc., hanging down from the underside of the bed frame. We called the store who "couldn't help us", they said it was the distribution center's issue. We never did get a call back from them. Instead I called the manufacturer who will be sending out a repairman to make sure it was put together correctly & answer our questions.

That was about 3 months ago, still not received the credit. I called, talked to rude representatives at corporate. They promised me they would fix it. Still not credit. I called back talked to a manager at corporate, same promise, she even promised to call me back, literally nothing happened. I've now spent hours on hold waiting to talk to rude employees, months waiting for my credit. Me paying interest on the money they borrowed from me. Absolutely pathetic.

After waiting about 90-days for them to credit me what they told me they would, I finally just disputed it through my credit card. Now my remote control breaks on the fireplace I bought from them. I reach out to see if I could buy a new one, they literally just told me in the chat they couldn't help me. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT do business with them. It's one thing to have a bad employee or two but literally no one would help me at corporate. Updated on 12/21/2020: THIS IS PART 2 OF MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. I have been waiting for 3 months for my bed frame part, today I called and I was told that I have to wait another month, until Jan. 11, 2021. The agent did not care when I told her that we have been sleeping on the floor and told me that NO ONE IN THIS COMPANY WILL DO ANYTHING FOR ME. The best part is when I asked to speak with a supervisor she refused. Those guys do not understand that I am will get poor because of the bed frame nor they will get rich. It is the way you deal with your customers that will leave a long-lasting relation and business. I just filed a complaint with BBB.

Original Review: I bought a bed from the heartland location in Mississauga, within two months the left side of the bed broke, called customer service who connected me with a technician, had to wait for about a week and a half before I got a call stating that they will replace the side. It has been a little over two months now and I still did not get the side. The best part when I chatted with a customer service rep earlier this morning. She stated that I still have to wait as the manufacturer is in the USA. And nothing else is going to be done about. I ASKED HER THAT I NEED A RESOLUTION NOW AND ALL that GOT IS YOU HAVE TO WAIT.

As customers when we go into ASHLEY stores we get hammered with the number of agents who approach us just to sell us but when we need the help we get told in simple terms ("Nothing we can do for you, you have to wait"). The bed is not going to break me or make Ashley furniture richer. It is the way I was dealt with that matter. Not even a simple apology.

We have done everything that we were told to do twice and have waited for them to call us and pick up the damaged furniture, NO CALL NO PICKUP. Because of COVID -19, this company feels they can treat customers like this because we are not able to come to the store or return the items ourselves, they will wait and wait so that our cards will be charged and we will have to pay for damaged items. This is fraudulent and stealing from the consumer. We will are now being charged for this furniture we are trying to return.

For a week now we have had nothing but bad customer service. Now the assistant manager tells us they are not affiliated with the delivery company yet they deliver the furniture we bought from them. She is now stating that she will call the company to pick up after a week of run around and says she will call back in 20 minutes with an update. I was told by the sales associate when I purchased my living room furniture from Ashley’s that it was pure leather and that I would have a 5 year warranty. Earlier in the year, I began to notice fading and peeling in the back and sides of the cushions. (As shown below). I was assured by the sales person that I had a complete 5 year warranty on this piece of furniture.

We have no children or pets, so there was no excessive use or any reason for damage to this couch. I called customer service and was transferred to three different Ashley service locations, with three different phone numbers. On the second number, I talked to customer service agent Randy and he agreed with me that pure leather would not peel or fade. This lead me to believe that I was not sold the product that I was promised and paid for. It also led me to believe this has happens on a frequent basis.

The last customer service agent I spoke with was Carrie. She did nothing to assist me with this issue. She basically told me that it was not Ashley’s problem and there was nothing she could do or would do to resolve this issue. She informed me that my 5 year warranty was indeed a 4 year warranty, and expired in December of last year of 2019. This is not what I was told time of sale or what my paperwork reflects. Carrie stated that my only option was to receive in store credit to potentially replace my item. Due to the poor quality of past purchases and lack of customer service, I would like my money refunded in full in order to take my business elsewhere. In store credit is not an option. The only other option that I will agree to is the item be replaced with a new one. I hesitate on that, due to the poor quality of the product and Ashely’s failure to take responsibility or assist me.

I am very disappointed with the in store sales woman that sold me furniture (can’t even say “my furniture” because it’s been near four months and I still have not received). When I purchased the furniture on July 19th I stressed how important it was I receive the furniture before September 1 because I was having a Woman’s Retreat at my house. She said I would receive it August 29th. When August 29th came I called the shipping department. They said I wouldn’t receive until the beginning of November. If I hadn’t been tired of looking for furniture I would have cancelled It. Instead I am still waiting for the furniture to arrive. Today is November 12th and their shipping Dept said last week it should be here on the 17th. So here’s to hoping!!! The reason I gave an overall satisfaction 3 not a 1 is I ordered something online and got it on time.

Then in September the remaining portion was delivered however the brackets that hold one of the arms on were wrong. Delivery person said they would order parts they never did, call Ashley they show no record of the parts being ordered, they sent out someone to fix the couch who told us he would have to order parts, that was the first week of October, still do not have the parts.

Called Ashley again. They said they have been back ordered and would not be available until mid December, but would see if they could do anything, informed us they would send temporary clips, that was 9 days ago and still don’t have the clips. Next week will mark 6 months that I purchase this couch and it has been 3 months since all of the pieces have been delivered and I still cannot attach the arm to the couch. Ashley just does not seem to care, no offer to compensate me and not offer to replace the couch with a new one. I email the president and his assistant and no response. They just don’t care.

In November of 2019 my husband and I purchased a sectional from Ashley Furniture. The couch was delivered damaged. When I asked to refuse delivery because of obvious delivery damage, the delivery team informed me that it was not their problem and I would have to take any issues with the product up with the store. They would not allow me to refuse delivery. This should have been the first indication of my experience with Ashley Furniture. I immediately took this to the store. My salesperson informed me that she would have to wait for the return and replacement to be processed and that she would follow back up with updates accordingly. I was assured that there was a one-year warranty on the couch for all things and that we would be taken care of with no problems.

Being distracted with miscarrying a child and subsequently becoming pregnant again then having all things compounded by COVID-19, life happened and time passed quickly. During this time, I was provided an email address from the store to send the information to. We would later be told that this was the incorrect email and to try another. We would additionally be told that both of these email addresses had nothing to do with their return or consumer processes and more to do with social media and their usage for advertising purposes. After the birth of our extremely premature baby, I could not even sit on my couch as the frame was so broken. I returned to the store and was informed that nothing had ever been processed and no return or exchange had been filed for.

A repairman was sent, who neglected and refused to wear a mask in my home with my premature baby. The parts sent had nothing to do with the problem and the repairman informed us that Ashley had no intent to replace any damaged furniture. Upon further escalation, a replacement was deemed necessary. November 29th was set as the time and date for the first available delivery. November 25th I was informed that this would not happen and that December 29th would be the next available date for delivery. We are over a year into the process of trying to utilize a warranty that stands for nothing and is not consumer friendly. At this point, we are just wanting a refund for an inferior product and excessively horrible customer service.

Tonight when I called the store the phone was answered with "What the hell do you want"! I had to ask several times, "Was this Ashley Furniture?" The lady told me to hold on and never put the phone on hold. She spoke to someone then said "Yes, this is, I'm sorry". I was completely taken off guard from the beginning. I was calling because I could purchase my furniture online from their website at a lower price and better financing plans.

The unprofessionalism was not a one time occurrence with this store. As I was waiting in line there was an elderly woman in front of me at the counter complaining about how she was treated by customer service and when she would call the store. Ashley, has nice furniture but the customer service in McDonough is awful. Even the store manager is unprofessional. My salesman was doing a great job without needing any help. A man came over and sat on the back of a sectional I was looking at and interjected right into our conversation without being solicited to do so. He made me feel very uncomfortable and I thought he was rude!

**, almost lost the sale because of this. I asked ** if he was in training or needed help and he said, "No, why?" I explained how uncomfortable I was and I thought the other guy was rude...He didn't need him to help and I almost didn't complete my purchase. When I suggested for him to say something to the man, ** said he couldn't because it was his BIG boss! That explains how the store is ran and the reason ** answered the phone so unprofessionally! I would use Ashley Furniture HomeStores again, just not in McDonough GA!

I never ever write bad reviews, but this experience has been mind blowing in the worse way. We ordered and paid for our furniture on July 17. It was finally delivered on November 19 of weeks of telling us it was coming in. Then, we sit in the chair for the first time, it fell in. Nothing was broken, they had not nailed the bottom in (nails aren't even through the wood, it just did not get nailed in. I call immediately, first, the girl wouldn't give any update on when we would hear or what we would be told, etc. My husband called her back and asked for a date and she said send pictures to an email and she would call back immediately. So we did. She called back and then said someone would call. Monday comes, no call. I call today, and instead of looking at my order, they give me the technician area's phone number and said they would have information now.

I call them, they said there is no work order. They told me to call that line back. I did, the first girl had put it in the wrong portal....so they finally fixed it. The technician has now texted. December 10 is the earliest time that a technician can come fix it!!!! 21 weeks it will be since we purchased the chair. 18 weeks was not long enough to apparently make it and make it the right way. I am beyond frustrated. I completely understand Covid has been an issue, but to have that long of a time and then send it not completed- absolutely ridiculous. You had no issue of taking my money, Covid wasn't an issue for that process. It's not an issue of going in and looking at the furniture or purchasing. But it is an issue with ordering, delivering, making it like it should be, then when it comes wrong, correcting the problem. I will never shop here again.

I never went into the store upset over the 18 weeks, I waited patiently, and every week was told by the sales representative (who is a rock star with delivering bad news) that he has no idea what is going on, but that the company moved the date out again and again and again. I know he hated to make that call for 17 weeks in a row. I did ask could we just get a refund (on the 14th week), but I was told we would have to pay a restocking fee.... What restocking fee? It clearly wasn't stocked! Finally, the 18th week, he said we would be getting a call for delivery. We would love to just be done with the awful wait and situation, but instead, we just can't use it....

And the only other thing that concerns me, why would it take that long for a technician to come out? Does all your furniture have that many issues that they are booked until then? I went into the store that day so excited because we had saved up for a long time to pay cash, picked out what we thought was perfect, left confident that we would have our furniture by Labor day, here it is Thanksgiving, we finally have it and can't use it. We may not even have it usable until Christmas. So I guess we sit on the floor from now on. Thanks Ashley Furniture for an unforgettable experience. For anyone contemplating purchasing from Ashley's Furniture in Bend, OR I would HIGHLY recommend NOT doing it! Last night, while trying to go to bed, our cat Sloan was playing around with our other cat Wilson. He ran under the recliner and was then caught in the actuator. His fur AND skin was pulled in and we could NOT get him out. My husband, John, had to take apart the motor and remove it from the chair (all while Sloan was still attached to it). The gap on the actuator is much larger than it should be, about 3x wider than that of other manufacturers, which can allow for a small animal or finger/toe to get stuck in it and cause serious harm.

We spoke at length with the manager at the Bend store, Mark H. We advised him that we just purchased this chair in April, now due to the unsafe mechanism in the chair we had to completely disassemble it, which leave it not working. He refused to do ANYTHING for us, telling us it was the CATS FAULT!!! Both John, and I were injured in the process of removing Sloan from this faulty piece of equipment, and the poor kitty is bruised, sore and terrified! I can imagine we are not the only people that this has happened to, and we probably won't be the last! Seriously disgusted with their lack of customer service.

Mgr, Buddy, who was rude and stated that they don’t give delivery dates and they are telling everyone 6-8 weeks and we are in that time window and would just have to wait.

Called back the next day and spoke with store mgr, Bryant, and he apologized for assist mgr and gave the excuse for his rudeness as that he was ex military???. He stated that sales girl was new and shouldn’t have given us a delivery date and offered a partial delivery on date of 9/12/20. We contacted warehouse ourselves and were told that no delivery date was on record with them. They stated that they could deliver our partial delivery on 9/19/20. We called the store mgr back and he said that there was a glitch In the computer system and every time he looked at our order, it must change our delivery date.

We were later contacted by Louisville warehouse again and stated they didn’t have our items in stock (which they and the store had both previously said were in stock) and our new delivery date would be 11/19/20 and they’d be in contact with us. The store manager offered us a $100 refund for the inconvenience. We never got it. My husband contacted the manager 3x regarding us not receiving the refund. Each time, he stated that he had put it through and would do it again. We just went to store this weekend to check on our delivery date since it’s coming up and no one had contacted us and the store mgr told us that our new date is 12/18/20. He also doesn’t remember offering us the $100 but “if you say so I’ll do it”.

We had decided to start looking elsewhere and he offered us $400 to wait. We told him it wasn’t about the money but the poor customer service and left the store. We returned to the store later and as we walked into the doors, a voicemail popped up on my husband's phone from Ashley. We went on in and told the mgr we wanted to cancel our bookcase and desks. He said ok and stated that he would do that right then. And then said that he had just called to tell us he had refunded us $400. We said we still wanted to cancel the items as it had been so long, we no longer needed them. He proceeded with the refund and said that if he had known that we were going to cancel items, he wouldn’t have given us the $400 but that our order was still big enough that it was ok.

He printed me a receipt where he highlighted the $400 amount and wrote at the bottom “please refund $400 to credit card to save sale” and then he printed me a 2nd receipt that he highlighted the $541.85 which he typed at the bottom “please refund $541.85 cancelled do not need anymore”. We watched for refund and we received it back on our card in 2 amounts, the 1st amount for $400 and the 2nd for $141.85. (Not 541.85 as my receipt stated) and after further exploring the receipts I realized that they had the exact same invoice/sales order. We would have been perfectly fine if they had not been deceitful through this entire process. Poor customer service doesn’t begin to describe what we have received.

(Also I asked for the name of the upper management to which none of the sales staff would give me stating that they didn’t know who that would be or who I could contact. I had to go through chat and call 2 different number to learn that the Richmond store owner is Chad ** and the home office number is 830-515-1400 to which I am waiting on a return call from currently).

Do not buy from this company. We had a couch and sectional, as well as a master bed purchased. The delivery company damaged both the couch and the sectional, and left a mess in our bedroom because the delivery company didn't know how to put the bed together. They also damaged our walls in the process of bringing the sectional to the basement. Two and a half hour wait times for customer service led us to having another bed delivered without all the parts. The third attempt was unsuccessful as well as the company showed up and didn't bring part of the bed, said they would come back and never did. Then they closed our order. After several attempts at resolving it and trips to the store, we finally got a successful bed delivery. You can call the store for delivery problems but they will tell you that they have no control over the delivery company. Now we are trying to return an item and we can't even get through to return it. DO NOT buy from this company!

The week before delivery I got another call that they no longer had my chair for delivery and that it was delayed till Dec 4. I was not happy so they approved an additional 20% discount. 2 weeks went by and no credit so I called Ashley who took 3 days to get back to me and told me I had to call the store that I purchased it from. I called the store numerous times and finally got ahold of a person who told me they they didn't want to honor the 20% discount. It's now been 3 and a half months and no chair, and maybe a refund. The time frame was 12-4 p.m. I received a text that had an earlier delivery time than I was given. I had someone ready to meet the delivery guys when I got notification that they were on their way. The person who was to meet them showed up within minutes but delivery guys didn't show. I tried calling the driver and his message was "Py phone is broken. Leave a message".

After several calls to the driver and no response I attempted to contact customer service several times. I waited on one of the calls over 15 minutes until I got an actual person. I explained my situation and they said they would look into it. Long story short after several disconnects customer service contacted me and said they were having trouble reaching the driver as well. Another customer service rep called and said the driver said he stopped by the house but no one was there. This is not accurate! The driver did end up showing up hours after his initial text. Once they arrived they said that the table was damaged.

I am missing one of the dining room chairs and two of my accents were missing as well. I had received a call the night before the delivery date and was told one dining chair and only one accent chair was backordered therefore I would receive one table, 3 chairs and 1 accent chair. Needless to say I had them take everything back to the store. They told me to call customer service to discuss the damaged/missing chairs. I just held for 15 minutes and finally got a recording to leave a message and someone will contact me within 24-48 hours. NEVER again will I shop at Ashley Furniture nor recommend them.

After hearing absolutely nothing for almost one month, I called to see if I could possibly get an ETA on my purchase. I was given a date about another two weeks out. I arranged to take off work the day of the delivery and nobody showed up or contacted me. When I called, they told me my order wasn't ready and promised me another date. This time, they did at least call me and gave me yet another date with one of the three items back ordered. Each time they told me there was an inventory problem it was for a different piece of furniture. I was supposed to receive 2 of the 3 items.

Nobody contacted me and when I called again today, they told me that one of the items I was supposed to get was not yet available after being previously told that the particular item was already in the warehouse awaiting my delivery. They told me that the one item would not be available until sometime in January. This is the worse experience I have ever had buying ANYTHING for delivery. Through this entire process, they only initiated contacting me once and the nine or ten times I tried to contact them I was on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes each time. I have cancelled my order, now let's see how long it will take to get my money back!! I'd hate to have to pay for legal help with this, but I almost expect that I will have to in order to be fully refunded. I never knew this place was so poorly run.

If I could give less than a star I would. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a company. We originally ordered furniture back in May and have yet to receive all our pieces. Originally we were promised that if we could get a standard size couch we should have ZERO issues getting the sectional we picked into our home... This turned out not to be the case when we had this attempted to be delivered in August. Not only were the delivery people unprofessional they damaged our walls and left 2/3 sectional pieces thrown in our home on their side.

After working with the store manager, who was the only bright spot in our experience, we ordered all new chairs and sectional as we had to start from scratch. Understandably with Covid we expected longer turnaround time but we just got an update that the sectional isn't expected in until the end of Dec. at the earliest. Also, the 2 chairs we ordered have been in but they won't deliver as a partial delivery because this is considered an exchange after the issues in Aug. Considering they make you pay upfront - and we paid in cash - this is really unacceptable. I will tell ANYONE and EVERYONE to never shop here because it just has been the worst experience and not at all worth the headache.

The entire time I was contacting them as to the status of my furniture. Their customer care department kept saying, "Yes sir I understand your frustration but due to COVID we can’t get your beautiful furniture to your beautiful home any sooner." They even said they do quality checks to ensure my furniture is in perfect condition. Well when the furniture arrived the recliner didn’t work and they said it needed a new motor. The arm of the love seat had a huge snag. They came back to repair and did a great job but the recliner motor didn’t fix the problem and when the tech turned it over he didn’t put anything down on the floor and all the sliding it gouged my new hardwood floors we just had laid. I brought this to his attention.

Also we noticed the cushions in a month’s time lost their shape and some cushions were thinner than others. So we filed another complaint and they were going to have upper level management contact us about the floors and were sending us new cushions. We received two cushions and have not heard anything regarding our flooring. I have to say we would have been better off buying furniture from their competitor in that area. So now I have half a sectional, awaiting delivery of the final piece. MONTHS GO BY. Delays continue, again no calls from Ashley Furniture. Every time I call customer service the online department transfers me to a warehouse, the warehouse tells me I have to call the online department. I am always being told it's not their fault, the buck is constantly being passed, the customer service rep says it's not their problem, the warehouse, the delivery nobody says they can help me, nobody accepts responsibility. It gets worse.

I finally get ahold of a customer service rep that says she can help me. At this point all I want is a refund. She tells me they can no longer accept a return on my item and what I need to do is donate my sectional and then provide them with a donation receipt, after that they can issue a full refund. So I do that, I donate it and provide a receipt. I am told it is being processed, then RADIO SILENCE. I follow up with the rep day after day for a week...NOTHING. I call online customer service, explain the situation AGAIN and they tell me I was misinformed and should not have donated my sectional. They admit their mistake, they say they will take care of it. I do not trust them.

Currently I am on hold, I have been on a call with 5 different people working on this refund, the clock on my phone reads 2 hours and 11 minutes. I can't believe this, but I also can't hang up and do this again. So I wait. Who knows if this will ever get refunded, and even if it is I am honestly traumatized by this whole experience. What kind of company operates this way? How can you be so disorganized and lost that this can possibly happen? Why can't at some point a supervisor needs to take control and say "This man has been through enough, give him back his money, he has been wronged". I hope the CEO sees this and institutes major change. Honestly I'm owed waaaay more than just a refund. Avoid this company at all costs. The clock now reads 2 hours and 17 minutes....and counting...

The sales person told us there were delays and we should expect to get a status update in 6-9 weeks. We waited until October before contacting Ashley because we felt that the delays were definitely justified given the circumstances with COVID. Our furniture has still not arrived and we've received no calls/emails/texts updating us on the status of our order since October. The automated system scheduled a delivery for October 1 and we waited all day 12 hours for the items to come. No one followed up or called us to tell us the order had been cancelled for delivery.

We've called several times since to get information about what to expect and each time we call, we're reaching customer service representatives in Tennessee and Texas who give us completely different answers each time. We've asked to speak to managers and there is no follow up from anyone. Today, I talked with two employees and both gave me completely different answers; one said our loveseat is in stock and will be delivered Friday November 13th, the other person said the loveseat is not in stock and the sofa is being held in the warehouse "reserved" waiting for the loveseat to come in next week. Basically, with all the runaround we've gotten we regret ordering anything from Ashley. We will not do business with them again and I fear we'll never get our items or our money back with the low quality customer service we've experienced.

After I bought it the delivery was awful they could not get the swing doors open on the truck and had to destroy the box just to get it off the truck. The people could not speak English. I called to complain and no one responded. Now I need it repaired. Just to talk to someone they make you wait on hold for 20 minutes. Please for your own peace of mind don't buy from this company. They don't care about you after they have their money. This company should put a sign on their door saying we don't care about you. Worst ever experience.

If I could give Ashley Furniture 0 stars, that would be my first option. When we bought our couch in September, we were told that the couch that we selected would be delivered November 14th but our Salesman David told us that it would probably be here earlier than that but he had to tell us that far out just in case (reason why we picked the sofa we did). The second to last week of October, I started calling Ashley Furniture, couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. Finally got someone to answer two weeks later, she said that she couldn't give me any information and I had to wait for my Salesman David to call me. So David calls and tells me that the manager that checked me out forgot to put a delivery date so now my couch wouldn't arrive until December 26th.

We declined and said to cancel our order. He insisted on trying to "make things better" so he sold us another couch (without us seeing it, insisted that we needed to process the order right then because it would go fast and we can come in and look at it and cancel the order if we don't like it). He also said that he would give us 10% off. Unfortunately we trusted him, came in to look at the couch the next day and it was okay so we went with it because the "manager" told us it would be delivered November 7th. One day after this--we got an email that the new couch wouldn't be here until January 16th.

I called Ashley Furniture again and not only was the new couch that we didn't even want originally not going to be here November 7th, we also had to pay full price because they couldn't do the discount anymore. Called the store every day, multiple times a day and nobody would answer or call me back, even though their voicemail says all calls will be returned the next business day (still no callback and it's been 8 days). Tried to get ahold of our Salesman David to tell him that I was filing a fraudulent case against Ashley Furniture---guess who stopped responding as well???

Yep, can't get a response from the Salesman or the store so I had to contact the bank that I purchased the furniture through and make them aware that I was reporting them as fraud so they would close the account. Never have I ever dealt with such an unprofessional company/Salesperson. I definitely should have looked at the reviews before shopping here. The Ashley Furniture on Gemini Place in Columbus, OH should be ashamed of themselves.

Hello my name is Mrs. **, I went into a Ashley store looking to buy a bedroom suite, my sales person was very nice and helped us with our selection, this was Oct. 2 we was told a delivery date and it got changed two to three times. Then on Oct 31st they arrived with a mattress and adjustable bed only. I contact our salesperson and she was apologized and looked into it.

Later that day she called stated that the rest of our purchase would come on Nov. 5th. So we waited and on Tuesday I texted her to make sure we was still on track and she says, "I'm so sorry. The warehouse says now it will be at the end of the month and possibly longer." So without a pending date at all me and my husband decided to look elsewhere to get a suite, so I called the sales person back this same day told her our concerns and that at the end of the day "We still have not bedroom suite in our bedroom" and asked that they just pick up the mattress and adjustable bed they brought on Sat. morning Oct. 31st. Just three days before and she says her supervisor says no that we can't return it.

I was very upset we feel like we are been walked all over, the company can't produce the merchandise and won't pick up the two items that they brought at the last minute to try to satisfy us maybe. I will never purchase anything else from this company, they don't communicate with you unless you call them. I knew the salesperson knew on Monday 2nd about this because when I spoke to her on Tue the 3rd she says "I so sorry to have to tell you this, I didn't get any sleep last night honestly I didn't", so my question is if you knew on Monday why you wait until I called you on Tuesday. I'm been told that most companies won't take back a mattress after 3 days so now I'm thinking this was deliberate to force us to keep the items. She also stated they really don't have an expect date on the furniture. Please call me and let me know what I can legally do or email me a response. Thank you!

I was then told my date was moved to early October. I tried to call my store to confirm my delivery and never got a return phone call. I texted and emailed my sales person, Fernando and he never retuned either my text or email. I then called the delivery number and found out that my delivery had been moved to the 21st and it was only part of my order. They could not tell me when I was going to get the rest of my order. I decided at that point that I needed to cancel my order all together because of the lack of transparency, communication, customer service and an incomplete order.

I cancelled my order over the phone at 1-830-515-1400 and they told me I had to drive to the San Antonio store to do the final cancellation (an 1.5 hour drive for me). So, I drove to San Antonio and they told me that it was showing that my order had been cancelled and I should be receiving a refund shortly. I waited 12 business days and still no refund so I called the 830-515-1400 phone number today. They told me that my order was cancelled but they never put the paperwork in for me to receive a credit. Who would cancel an order and not want a credit?? I am now having to wait an additional 10 to 14 days on top of my initial 12 business days, I have already waited. ****I have only listed a portion of the phone calls and conversations that I have had with Ashley Furniture because that would take more of my valuable time. We did, however, receive DAILY advertising emails from Ashley. After 2 months I also called customer service to find out how much longer it would take for the furniture to be delivered. I was put on hold for 55 minutes each time I called. So, we made a trip to the Ashley Home Center store where we purchased the furniture.

Once the sales people and sales manager found out we weren't there to buy anything, but rather to inquire as to the status of our order, they completely avoided us (and several others who were there for the same reason). There was a line-up at the customer service counter just to inquire as to what the hell was going on. After a 45 minute wait in the customer service line I was told it would take another 2 to 3 months for my order to be ready. I insisted upon a refund. The entire experience was a nightmare.

After two weeks waiting, the technician inspected the couch and told me that it is defective and he will report it. Next day, I received a call from Ashley guest care informing me that the technician reported the issue as showroom condition and that it is normal.

The mechanism defect is that I have to push the love seat power recliner by my leg to make it close all the way, the sofa is closing perfectly all the way with the button. I do not know how this could be assessed as a showroom condition. The technician told me something opposite to what he actually reported. This experience is a very bad one and hope that no one goes through this. The technician also told me that I am over expecting Ashley products' quality. Ashley does not want to send another technician to reassess the defect. I had no issues at all with The Brick power recliner couches which I had before this one.

Loral W writes: I too join with the many others customers sharing complaints regarding Ashley Furniture. A little over two years ago I purchased an expensive couch/chaise/ottoman sectional and the spring system for the couch recently broke. After many hours of phone calls (mostly being placed on hold) and several store visits, I was told that Ashley would honor the part replacement warranty and provide the springs and clips necessary to repair the couch once I paid the 2 hour labor charge for their technician repair services. I was told the parts would be shipped and should arrive within 5-7 business days. After waiting over 3 weeks for the parts to arrive, and after numerous phone calls and 2 trips to the local store to check on the status, I was told that the initial parts order wasn’t completed correctly and the parts order would need to be processed again.

The parts arrived about a week later and now the process of trying to get a technician scheduled to repair my couch onsite has started. After holding on the phone for 40 minutes, I was told by the customer service representative that she would begin the technician request process and someone would call me within 24 hours to schedule a time to come to my house and repair the couch. That call never arrived. When I phoned back this morning to find out why, I was told that the technician service request was still in open status and was not processed completely and correctly. The representative assisting this morning assured me that she would open a new service ticket and get the technician request process started again. I was told that someone would be reaching out to me within the next 48 hours to schedule the onsite technician appointment... We’ll see.

During this 6 week ordeal, I have made 25+ calls to the Ashley Furniture Customer Service number holding in queue to wait to talk to someone for a total 15+ hours as each call averages a hold time of about 30 minutes before you’re connected to an actual representative. I have made three trips to the local store and exchanged 13 emails and I still don’t know if I’m any closer to getting my couch repaired. Ashley Furniture is very proud of its “Spring & Webbed Seating System” and why that system on my couch broke in such a short period of time from purchase, when the average weight sitting on my couch is one person not over 200 lbs, is beyond me.

I too would recommend working with another furniture store when making a decision as to which company to rely on when it comes to furnishing your home. Ashley’s customer service is undeniably the worst I’ve ever experienced. My patience must continue through this process as I work to get my couch repaired, however I have no doubt that my frustration level will contain to remain very high. I have listened to Ashley’s message and music for so long now while on hold that I believe I have those words memorized. I write this review certainly not expecting to hear from anyone at Ashley Furniture as I have little faith that anyone from their Customer Care Team actually cares and will take the time to read this review let alone be proactive in contacting me to gain back my loyalty back.

I purchased some items very early in July of this year and after waiting endlessly I still haven’t received my order. The initial date that was given for delivery was August 15, 2020. I called the store the day before the expected delivery to find out if everything was on schedule so I can make plans for the delivery. The receptionist at the time was very polite and explained that due to COVID most orders are on delays. I had to wait about half hour on the phone for her to provide me with an updated delivery date. Eventually, the receptionist came back on the phone with October 24, 2020 as the new delivery date.

I understand that COVID caused a lot of backlog. However, the new delivery date, October 24, 2020, is more than two months outside of the initial date which is poor business management. I tried to cancel my order with the receptionist who explained that only a manager can cancel orders. I was then transferred to the manager to assist with cancelling my order. The manager came on the phone and explained that due to store policy any order cancellation will result in a 25% restocking fee. I was not positioned to pay the restocking fee so he asked for a good call back number as he will make a couple of calls for a quicker delivery date than October 24, 2020 and contact me the following day.

I waited for about a week before I grew impatient and call back the manager explaining to him that I was waiting for the callback he promised. At this point he said the delivery date is October 24, 2020 and the items cannot come any sooner. I had to remind him that it’s proper business practice to follow up on his word. I was very disgusted especially as he kept reminding me that I can cancel my order and pay the restocking fee. My wife and I decided to sit back and wait on the pushback date.

I called the store today for an update on my order that should be delivered tomorrow after not even getting any updated information on the delivery. I am now being told that the new delivery date is the end of December. We have been very patient but asking your customers to wait 6 months for their merchandise is definitely not good business practice. Again, do not do any business with this store, you will have to wait several months before receiving your order.

I have dealt with Ashley's for the past 5 years and was a very happy customer the reason I continued to shop there. Over the past couple years the quality has gone from a 5 star to a -5 star. My whole house is furnished with high end furniture from them and my couch and loveseat I've had for 7 months now. For the past 2 months I have been waiting on parts and now have to wait for another month for them to repair it. They are replacing all cushion fabric on both pieces. All cores, the base on love seat is completely broken at the springs and the arm is broken. They both look so worn that people have thought they are are 5 years old. I have 0 kids It's my fiancée and myself. I will never buy anything from them again. I have had multiple problems and I am done! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. THE QUALITY OF THE FURNITURE IS 0 OUT OF 10.
