The Neptune representative was very patient with me, waiting for many months for me to be ready to commit to the purchase of a package. She never pressured me and volunteered to drive down here from Portland to close the deal! Very happy with the service and feel confident everything will be carried out as promised.

Neptune Society came to our American legion and asked to speak in one of our meetings, so we let them come in and gave a spiel at our private meeting. There were four of us who liked the way they told us and liked the person giving the views of the Neptune Society. Then he asked us if we want to learn more about it, and invited us to come to a luncheon. And so, we did. We went down to the Red Lobster, had a free meal and learned a lot more about it there. After that, we invited them to our home and we filled out the papers and everything in private. They were very courteous and overly helpful. They did everything very well. It was a good experience with Neptune Society.

I cannot make a comment on the service because I am still alive. Suzanne (My Salesperson) was very good. However the Account Receivable Dept. seem to be lacking. It is hard for them to do what I was expecting. So far I have contacted them 3 times. I did receive a letter stating my payoff and I had 3 days from the date the letter was written to do so. Who knows what will happen this week.

My mother and sister were very impressed with the dignity and respect that Neptune Society showed my family. Neptune draped my father in the American flag and they were also very solemn and compassionate, which my mom and sister appreciated very much. It was very easy for them to decide what they wanted to do and just get it done. My mother is also on Neptune's international plan. So, there's a card that's been sent to us and we can just call the number on it and everything would be taken care of. The biggest thing for my mom and then for me and my sister now, knowing that my mother is also on their plan, is everything is done. We don't have to act in this whirlwind of chaos.

I, like many of my age peers have been putting off making our own final arrangements thinking there is plenty of time. Guess what? You don't!! I was fortunate enough to have received a flyer in the mail for a FREE lunch and presentation from the Neptune Society. At first, I went for the FREE lunch, but then I figured, this would be a good time to take a look and see what I should have set up years ago, so my children wouldn't have to make my arrangements. I am glad I went, I met Brad **, a very pleasant guy and he put on a thorough presentation about Cremation. To my surprise, I paid way too much for my wife's arrangements, just about a year ago.

I met again with Brad afterwards and did all the paperwork and in about a half hour I was all set. I received all what I was expecting and more. I gave all this to my son and now I feel much better knowing that this will not be burden on my children when I pass. I would HIGHLY recommend going to one of these meetings and you will feel better. After all, what's the worst thing that can happen?? You get to find out what it is all about and you get a FREE lunch. This might sound like a commercial, but I really am satisfied.

So when my husband died suddenly, I decided to go with them since I had the experience with them and I knew the process. The people were wonderful and they really went out their way to help me. But reading all of these disclaimers and stuff right after my husband had passed away really upset me especially some paragraphs that sat me over the top. There should be another way to word it. Other than that, It's a comfort to know that when my mother passes, it's done and I don't have to worry about filling out 10 to 12 pages that I did with my husband.

I've worked with Neptune Society twice now for my father and for my stepmom, and they're wonderful. My father prearranged and prepaid their burial with Neptune Society in the 90's. So I followed what he told me to do. The first time, I had to drive with my stepmom all the way to Jacksonville when my dad died but they were great. The second time, when my stepmom passed away and I was calling Neptune, they were able to come to my home because one of their representatives lives nearby, so I didn’t have to drive all the way to Jacksonville. They had me sign the cremation permit, some final papers, death certificate, how many I needed, and just stuff that the state controls the cost. That made it easier because I work and had a lot to do in just a couple of days.

They made my life so much easier. They were very efficient, thoughtful, caring and honest. My dad had picked out a mahogany box. They didn't carry that product anymore but they were able to offer one that was very similar and they didn't charge me anything extra. It was an excellent experience with Neptune Society.

My parents lived in Florida and they bought a cremation package almost 20 years ago. They bought it from National Cremation which Neptune was linked to. My dad passed away two years ago and I moved my mom up to Ohio. When she passed, hospice took the card and they were the one who found out who we called here in Ohio in the Columbus area. It was a very good and positive with the Neptune Society staff. Don was the first contact that I got the day that my mom passed away. Within a couple of hours, he called me, gave me a lot of information and sent me his business card. I dealt with him throughout the whole experience and he'd been very good. He was very thorough, kind and prompt. Everything he told me he would do, he got done. He also said to me whoever bought this package really did a good thing because he said the price doubled since my parents bought it.

With the pre-planned service, I knew exactly what my parents wanted and how they wanted it done. There wasn't any error to be made and it was very comforting for me not to have to try to make any decisions. I was very comfortable with the person that handled my mom's cremation. I never had to follow up on anything with him. He kept me in the loop, even called me when her ashes were transported and let me know when they were scattered. I told him that I should probably look into buying a cremation package myself instead of waiting. It's not something I shop around for but I will call them because I'm familiar with them at this point. It was an overall good experience and I would recommend Neptune Society to people.

Account pay in full: Agent, did not have full info i.e., could have arranged with life insurance money, instead I had to make numerous calls to figure out how to rectify. Brought in my box, 1st visit, it had my name on it, I asked if it would make a difference/a box is a box. When ready to finalize and pick up, he told me he didn't have it. Notes he made on his "file" did not coincide with my notes. When asked how many pounds of ash (roughly speaking) would my husband produce, he told me since my husband was 250 pounds (he was wasted to 125 with his cancer), "Probably..." I stopped him right there. He would deliver my husband to the National Cemetery for Military burial, with all the mis/no information, I picked him up myself. Happy to pick him up, as I was able to fill his box with many mementos. (He did not EVEN suggest this.)

**My brain was foggy, just lost my husband (lost my son 354 days prior) grieving horribly. AND I had to do the research. The final thing: I was told several times that "he filed for my death benefit with social security", I asked clarification on my 3 visits. After 6 weeks of no death benefit, I went to social security and filed myself. I understand that these people are mostly "customer service" oriented. But this "representative" clearly has no business in this field. When I came in to pick up ashes or my husband, the creepy, "Are you ready for him", just put me over the top.

What I have learned: To have explicit details for my survivors how the NS works. To ask specific questions. To have everything laid out. 2 days before my husband's service, I remembered I had no "prayer cards" for the service. Seriously, why not add that to your list of things to do if you are doing the service yourself? Thoroughly frustrated. Our end went well.

My parents purchased contracts from Neptune when they lived in Arizona and because they had lived in Iowa and then we're in Arizona and didn't know where they were going to end up due to their health and that my sisters and I live in different states, they purchased the national contract. My father passed on January 17th. It truly was just one call and compared to other people who talked about their parent or loved one being placed in a zipped up bag, Neptune Society handled it with so much more dignity and respect. When they asked us to step out, they had dad placed on the gurney that was totally covered with a beautiful pearl keg. He was covered with a drape that was also embroidered. We were allowed to say our goodbyes. Then he was covered with a pearl keg and it was handled just so well.

My dad had a full head of hair and it was always very well-groomed so I cut some of that hair to keep as a memento. In all the confusion, I misplaced it and I called Neptune to the Atlanta office and asked if they would cut me some hair. They provided that for me and that really meant a lot. The team that came was very, very nice and compliant with anything we asked and made sure we understood what was happening. We were very impressed with that evening service provided. What we liked is that my parents bought that from Neptune quite a while ago and there were no additional charges. They provided the death certificate and took care of everything.

Many years ago I signed up for Neptune Society. That's when we were living in the South land. We moved to the Central coast about a couple of years and my husband signed up for it too which I'm thankful that he did when he was still here. My husband passed away in the hospital and they called me to tell me of his passing. I had been prepared for something like this but it was still very abrupt to face the reality. I called my son because he was in the office. He called me up and I said, "Come pick me up. We need to go to the hospital." I grabbed the folder where all my husband's paperwork was and we went to the hospital. I'm glad that I did gave it to my son to carry because we gave them to the people at the hospital. They, in turn, contacted the local mortuary who in turn contacted Neptune. So, that was taken care of for us. I was extremely thankful that that was one thing we didn't have to do.

The other thing that I was very grateful for was that Neptune took care of placing in the newspaper the death announcement. We later on did the Obit, my daughters took care of composing the Obituary to send in to the Santa Maria Times. I was also thankful that they took care of the death certificate. And John from Neptune called me up and asked me how many death certificates I wanted besides the ones that are provided by Neptune. So, I said, "Well, I don't know what's customary." So he named those that would require like if there was a company pension, how to do that, and banks and so on.

Another thing that was also very touching was John asked me if my husband had served in the military. So, I said he was a Korean war veteran. And he said if I would like an American flag. Which of course, I said, "Yes." But that took awhile to get here. I had to call John three different times to remind him. In this case, it had nothing to do with the Neptune operation. It had to do with John and I sent him an email each time. So, I just recently got it and I was very glad. My son happened to be here when the box came, which I'm glad he was because I was able to hand the flag for him to keep.

They had not ever experienced Neptune Society so they were not familiar with it. So it wasn't the fault of Neptune Society that it took so long. But the whole procedure from the time that my father died and I made decisions took close to three hours before Neptune came to pick him up and then when he was gone from here. That big delay and having my father dead on the floor and waiting for them was a very uncomfortable time to have.

However, Sheila and Jessica whom I was in contact with were very pleasant, confident and caring people. They handled everything very well. My daughter had another opportunity to need the service and I recommended Neptune Society. She was very happy also. One comment though that I made to the person who was with me was that the secretary or the person in Society's office in Jacksonville needed to be dressed in professional attire. She was in flip flops and a sweatshirt and it wasn't the right thing for that location that time. She should be in professional office looking attire better than for beach. Overall though, my experience with Neptune has been very efficient and satisfying.

Over the years my wife had talked with her friend whose husband owned a funeral home and my wife always wanted to be cremated. So she had an idea of what it cost to go through a regular funeral home. Then we got an advertisement in the mail about Neptune Society and decided to call and see what the deal was. Mr. ** came out and explained everything. The service was what we were looking for and the price was reasonable so we signed up. My wife decided from the time we signed up until she died in February that it needed to have a memorial service. So then we sat down and ordered the announcement. And Neptune Society really just have to get the announcement in the obituary.

Everything was great. Marlys ** and Mr. ** were wonderful in the Fort Worth office. I recommend them to anybody especially if they're looking for a cremation. I was a veteran and didn't realize until they explained it to us that putting her urn in a columbarium at the DFW National Cemetery could be done. When we first got our plan, there was a couple of negative surveys about Neptune Society and I thought well, people were just having a bad day, which I understand when you lose someone when it's pretty dear to you. But the compassion and the follow-up to make certain everything was taken care of was way above expectation or anything I've experienced in the past. The only thing we had to do after my wife died was take her box, which had an urn in it, to the office.

I investigated Neptune and I liked what I found so I decided to go with them. I had a good sales rep that walked me through the process and told me how it would all work. The rep also put together a package for me. I was very pleased with the presentation and decided to purchase the policy. When my father passed about a month and a half ago, the people there were extremely helpful and did a great job. It only took me a few minutes or half hour in their office to sign the appropriate papers. When I met with them, they gave me the options of what to do with my father's ashes. That's when they told me about the Navy thing which we didn't know about before. We just know the spread at sea. So they've explained that to me and that's how I know my father would have liked.

So, since my father was a decorated Navy, a World War II veteran, they arranged to have his ashes taken to a naval ship and for them to be spread at sea with a naval ceremony and I am extremely happy about it. They did a great job from start to finish. I bought a policy for myself a few years ago and last year, I bought a policy for my wife. I'm extremely a satisfied customer.

But never having to deal with a death that close that you're having to plan everything, I don't know what my brother and I would have done because this was totally new waters for us to have to try to swim. And having a lot of things planned out and taken care of, made it so much easier that there was less chances of mistakes or problems, and we were just able to go and deal with the moment, the grieving, and the family. At the time that was more important to us.

Julie, out of Kansas City, was wonderful. She really went above and beyond in helping us through everything including additional death certificates and things that we might need. Almost kind of held our hands. It took a lot off our shoulders. And my mom had set it up, so we knew that it was a lot of her things what she wanted done. So, there wasn't any second guessing. Death is never an easy experience. But Neptune Society tried to make this as peaceful and comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend them.

It's just good for the rest of the family where you say, "Hey, make a phone call and everything is taken care of." The information we got was complete and there's ease in quality and all that kind of thing. As for our total planning, we thought we would prepay.

We've had two experiences with Neptune. One was when the sales people came by a year ago when we called them. They were prompt and did a nice job. They are also usually presentable and informative, no complaints. Everything that they said they will do, they did. Then, since we were already on board when my daughter passed away, we called and made arrangements for them to contact the coroner and what comes up. The office manager, Julie, handled the whole thing. She is very attentive and she did a very, very nice job. She set everything up and arranged for private viewing. Our minister was on vacation so she arranged for a minister which worked out fine. She also tracked down the death certificates. We had a very small family service and it all worked out. We didn't have any glitches at all that I can remember. It was a funeral and they made it a lot easier. We didn't have to worry about anything.

In reading these reviews, I realize we are just another victim of the Neptune Society. My father died 25 days ago while visiting in Arizona. After Neptune had possession of his body, we were told it would be 12 days before he could be cremated, which turned into 2 1/2 weeks. We also got a lame excuse why his ashes never showed up at the cemetery -- "sent to the wrong address" and returned to the Mesa office. Perhaps they should have googled the address of the only cemetery in this Montana town.

We haven't received a death certificate either, so we are paralyzed in getting anything legal regarding his death accomplished. How can we possible make plans for a funeral? Neptune doesn't do anything for people that any mortuary couldn't do and they would be happy to ship the ashes wherever anybody wants, and they handle the death certificate as well. Don't waste your money, this company has been a cruel scam played on our family at a very difficult time.

My mother, sadly, made no final arrangements for herself and also left no insurance to pay for it, so the decision was left to me. My mother-in-law recommended Neptune Society, as she herself has a pkg on herself. It sounded like a great idea; it was affordable for my mom, and when the time came, the details would be already taken care of. My mother passed one week ago today, and I'm here to tell you that I am disheartened and very disappointed in the handling of my mom's arrangements. First, Neptune's driver who picked up the body, Aron **, never called me or my husband when he was leaving with her body from the nursing home. (We had been at the home when she passed, a total of like 6 hrs. We live 5 min from there, and went home to eat etc...and not have to wait another 2 hrs there before someone could arrive.)

We were supposed to be called when he arrived there, to sign paper work etc...but the guy never called. He just took off with her! I called the home 2 hrs after she died, and was told that she had already been picked up and was gone!! So I called the 800 number, and that was aggravating to explain the situation and try to track down 'who' had picked up her body, and 'where' she was being taken! My mother had just died...that's traumatic enough, without having to deal with this on top of it, and it was very unprofessional of the driver not to call, and IRRESPONSIBLE!! Finally I was able to speak to Joanna ** of the Tempe, AZ office, who told me she was at the Bethany Hills location, and that she would call me in the morning to take care of arrangements. 11:30 am comes and goes, and no phone call from her. I call, and of course she's on the other line.

She calls back, and is only on the phone 5 mins with me and tells me she needs to hang up because she has to tend to a family who just walked in. She calls back again, and we arrange to meet later that day. At the mtg, we do paper work, and I find out there is charge for doing the necessary ID VIEW of my mom's body. But, she says, because of the way things were handled with the driver, she waived the fee (damn right). Then I find out my mom's not even at Bethany Hills, that she's at a Mesa, AZ location. We're left in the office for her to 'copy paperwork', and we're sitting for like 10 mins. I ask the secretary where she went, and she goes back to get her. She comes back and says she's just getting up from her desk. Ok. We wait another 10 min and still she hasn't come out. (There was only a handful of papers to copy in the first place.)

The secretary goes back again, and comes back saying she was on the phone. When she comes back she makes the excuse that she's 'so busy'. (When I'M ON THE PHONE with her, she's attending to other families. When I'M AT THE OFFICE, she's on the phone with other people!) Ok, so then we make an appt for today, for the ID VIEW, (the day we WANTED, interfered with HER dentist appt). She said she'd call and confirm the day before...but did she? NO of course not. I called and left a VM, and still, I received no call. I have to call, again, can't talk to her of course, and find out from the secretary, that the time for it isn't even the time we had arranged, and if I hadn't called, I probably would have missed her (on account of being 1/2 hr late.)

I'm interested to see how this will go, let alone the actual cremation and receiving her ashes. If I had gone ahead with a traditional burial, she'd have already been in the ground 3-4 days after death. It's 7 days later and she's in a morgue somewhere, not even cremated yet, and on top of that, after today, I have to wait another 3-5 days to actually have her ashes in hand.

They would not stop calling me to the point where I felt harassed and stalked by their salespeople. I finally told them I would report them and the calls stopped, but the mailing started. We ended up choosing All-States Cremation because they actually told us their prices (and they are easy to find on their website). They were half the price of Neptune just look up Neptune's problems with the State of Colorado for cheating consumers.

I returned 2 of those, stating that I was looking for written material, as in a brochure. Apparently, you have to set an appointment for that & I was unusually busy & out of town. I don't want to purchase anything, I am exploring options. Today, I got a call months after first contact, they would have a rep in the area so I set an appointment. Then 2 hours later, I get a call from a gentleman who makes a false statement about my previous experience, then asks if I am really interested. WTF? I am not really interested this is why I am going to let a strange person into my home? He proceeds to tell me about the killer traffic. I guess I will be looking elsewhere for my final arrangements & I guess that reef will remain with 2 less containers! Very unprofessional.

Southern Cal Neptune -- stay away. These people don't know what they are doing. My father died on April Fool's Day and he must have been a fool to pay these people money. I will give Neptune the fact that it took 5 days for the LA County M.E. to release the body, so it really is more like 4 weeks. The latest was yesterday when "the ashes have been shipped and you will have them tomorrow." That would be today, but wait -- "Oh the mailman came late yesterday"-- so the ashes are STILL AT NEPTUNE. All I can say is I have never been invited to a funeral more than a month after someone died. The management of the company should be fired.

Neptune... when they are selling the policy they will tell you "yes, no need to worry, EVERY THING is taken care of". When you or your spouse pass on all the details are done. Neptune will pick up the body from anywhere in the world, transport it to the nearest crematorium... the ashes will be dispensed per the deceased instructions as stated here. My husband passed, unexpectedly, yesterday. I gave the hospital his Neptune card... nurse came back 15-30 min. later... said our town was not a pick-up area! When I and a friend with me since I was too upset told her what the terms were, she made another call... 1 or so hour later she came back said she was told she had spoken to a "new" employee, our town was within a nearby (1 and half hours away) pickup. They would do the transport. This was 7:30 AM. At 3-4 PM same day I received a phone call... I needed to come over there (1 1/2 hr drive) to sign papers before they could cremate him!

I don't know anyone in this community, my children are 9 hours away, I am in hysterics... Nobody can drive me over... he is already over there waiting for me... dear god what to do?? Next morning I call, request to speak to the manager of the Las Vegas Neptune Office on 8570 Del Webb Blvd... I am still waiting, crying and waiting to hear from these horrible people... DO NOT PURCHASE FROM NEPTUNE if you are trying to make it easier for those left behind... try donating your body to science... it will probably be easier.

In preparation for a death I do not fear, I phoned the Neptune Society of Northern California and spoke with a woman named Sharon. I told her I had questions and that I did not require a face to face meeting. Sharon was appropriately polite and receptive, and answered questions to the best of her ability. When my questions were answered, I kindly thanked her and told her I had all the information I needed. But Sharon wasn't ready to let me go. She then proceeded, more enthusiastically than anything else she had explained, to tell me about what was basically a death 'sale', telling me that if I latched onto the present going price (sale), my children and grandchildren could be covered under the same sale and would get to be cremated for free if they died before me! Wow!! What a deal, Sharon!

As a vital older woman, triathlete, doctor, professor/scholar, hearing that kind of stupidly presented sales pitch, efforting to hold me on the phone by repeating how I could cover the costs of the deaths of my children and grandchildren, I was only increasingly appalled by Sharon's obvious lack of awareness of appropriate behavior, which I attribute to vulgar ignorance. I would never associate myself with an organization that supports such behavior.

I have been reading some of the negative reviews for this company. Our experience with this company was wonderful. My father-in-law had Neptune pre-arranged service and when he passed (3-2012), all we had to do was call the phone number & within just a few hours, someone from a local mortuary was here to take care of his body. We live 125 miles away from the local office of Neptune and this was late at night that all of this was achieved. We felt that they handled everything very. Death certificate & copies were mailed to us within a few days as well. My husband did have to make an appointment to pick up his father's ashes, but just assumed that was a normal procedure. They would have shipped the ashes to our location as well, but my husband wanted to pick them up. Planning on purchasing the same service for my husband and myself.

Her number that appeared on my caller I.D. turned out to be no longer in service as reported by Verizon wireless. I went to the Neptune Society web contact page and instead of a telephone number they published "FD #1359". Whatever that is?

The bottom line is, why should I trust a company that hides their contact info? I contacted our local police department and they said they want to interview her when she shows up, and that is what's going to happen. Even if she turns out to be a legitimate employee, why use a fraudulent caller ID? Oh, she doesn't want people calling her? Well I don't either! I have not been able to get much sleep anticipating what might happen when she arrives.

My Dad passed away in July of this year. He had a Neptune Society cremation plan. The Austin, TX branch was wonderful. They took care of everything including sending my Dad's remains to the Summerfield, FL branch so we could bury him in FL where we live. The Summerfield office only has one employee according to the person I spoke to on the phone. I wanted to pick up the urn on the way to the cemetery because we live over an hour away.

They would only let me pick up my Dad's remains at 4 pm the day before the service, or 10 am the day of the service, because of a lack of personnel at the Summerfield office, and other appointments. I did not need an appointment. I just needed to show my ID and pick up my Dad's remains. The fact that they do not have someone on staff that could handle that at any time is enough to change my mind about purchasing their plan for my husband and myself which was what I was going to do after my positive experience with the Austin, TX branch. The Summerfield, FL branch changed my mind with their lack of customer service and shortage of personnel.

I have read over some of the negative reviews about Neptune Society and I completely disagree. Many of the comments are years old and people are complaining about ridiculous things. I understand that stress is high when we lose a loved one, but I get sick of people taking time out only to complain about something, but never taking time to give credit where credit is due! Neptune Society handled my Uncle's and Mother's death with great dignity and compassion. My mom purchased her plan over 10 years ago and everything went exactly as expected. When she passed peacefully at home, all we did was call the company and someone was here in around 2 hours.

All of our questions were handled quickly and we had her cremated and returned in around 10 days. That gave us time to plan a nice memorial service and it was nice to know everything was taken care of. When my uncle passed away, he was out of state and just as promised, they took care of him in FL and shipped his ashes back to IL because he had their travel option. If you want a simple, affordable cremation, I highly recommend this company. I'm sure they have cremated thousands of people over the past 40 years and if you let a few bad reviews scare you away you'll never find anything to your satisfaction.

I interviewed for a sales position with the Neptune Society. The sales team gets their leads when you request information from their website and the 3 million pieces of mail they send out every month. Note: These are their sales leads. The manager told me that it is important to call "leads" (you) at least 50 times. The manager stated that when a sales representative goes out to see consumers, their consumers never research or look into competitors. Compare 2-3 plans, compare apples to apples and don't sign just because a representative of any company is in your home. If you keep receiving phone calls, mail and email from a company, call the company and tell them to stop and remove you from all lists. As a consumer and one who looks out for my 75 year old mom, when one asks for information, that is what one is requesting... not being bombarded with a relentless amount of annoying phone calls.

Back in 1983, my uncle George paid a small fee for a membership to the Neptune Society 49 West Merrick Road Freeport, NY 11520. A nice letter from Director Emanuel Weintraub and Director Dr. Charles H. Denning, JR is in the file. They knew he was discharged from the military and said "VA benefits may cover our cremation service." Well, here I am 32 years later, my uncle is in a Nursing home in NJ and the home asked about what to do should he pass away. I pulled out the file and of course the Neptune Society has a nice website and boasts "Since 1973." Well, of course there is no longer any office in NY or NJ; so, I called the office near me in Portland, OR. Again, as I expected, there is no connection to the money collected in NY back in 1983, end of story.

My uncle thought he was setting up prepaid cremation services and could rest assured that upon his passing the Neptune Society would take care of his cremation and collect payment from the VA and SS. How many thousands of innocent people sent in the $15.00 (single), $25.00 (family) thinking the same exact thing? I hate people who scam the innocent even more than I hate rapists. People who rape, do a physical assault that causes mental damage. They can't get away with it too many times. People who scam the innocent out of their hard earned money are raping and assaulting the minds of their victims and their loved ones over and over and laugh all the way to the bank.

This is the copy of the response that I sent to them after several verbal complaints were made about their actions and their treatment of me and my mother's ashes. Now they sent me a bill for $1678.00!!!
Neptune Society November 15, 2008 1901 Pacific Coast Highway Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 Attn: GrantManager Roxanne-Service Coordinator Dear Sir and Madame: I am outraged that you sent me this invoice! In the greatest time of my mourning over my mothers death, both you and Roxanne caused me such pain and hurt over your handling of my mothers cremation. I sign a preliminary agreement which both Roxanne and yourself informed me was void as I did not pay for the services. I had informed you that I did not have the funds at the time and indicated this on the fax I sent to you. Both you and Roxanne told me that unless I paid the amount in full, the contract was null and void and I had until 3pm that day to find another facility for my mothers cremation. I had started to arrange California Cremation Services in San Bernardino to possibly take over as their charges were more affordable for my sister and I. I had discussed this with you and you told me that I would again have to move my mother from your facility by 3pm that day to avoid any charges. In desperation I asked that before my mothers remains were transported that you contact her husband, Mr. Andros Mohasci to see if he wanted to retain your services and pay the fees. I also contacted him regarding the matter but he did not respond to me. You did reach Mr. Mohasci and called me back to inform me that he was now paying and the agreement was with him. I asked at that time about the three death certificates I had ordered. You stated that they were not available yet but that as soon as my mothers ashes were available the three death certificates that were listed on the form would be available also. I had told Roxanne that on October 12, 2008 I was hosting a memorial service for my mother. I called for several days to find out where my mothers ashes were and repeatedly was disregarded. The excuse I got from you message center was that your facility was in the middle of a redecorating Open House. It was only upon my insistence that someone contact me regarding my mothers ashes on October 10, 2008 that Roxanne called me back to say you were looking for my mothers ashes. Shortly after that you called me to say that there was a communication problem at your facility and that if I wanted my mothers ashes I would need to come down to your facility on Saturday and pick up the ashes which I did. At that time I asked about the death certificates and you told me they were still not available. After the memorial I called several more times to inquire about the death certificates. After several repeated phone calls that went unanswered I received a call almost two weeks later from Roxanne stating that all the death certificates were given to Mr. Andros Mohasci as he paid for the cremation, your agreement was with him, and only he was entitled to the certificates. I asked Roxanne why she did not tell me about the certificates sooner so I could have made other arrangements and she said that Andros should have told me as she and you had been speaking with him not me. I asked at that time for you to call me which you did-two days later. You also told me that you no longer were dealing with me but your agreement was now with Mr. Andros Mohasci as he paid for the cremation and as such you delivered all the death certificates to him, end of story. When I confronted Mr. Mohasci about this he also stated that you gave him all the certificates and they belonged to him as he paid for the cremation. Mr. Mohasci also told me that you had asked him permission for me to pick up the ashes and that is why there was a delay in finding my mothers ashes. Regardless, a simple return of a phone call from Roxanne or you in the beginning of this matter would have prevented so much pain and anguish over my mothers death. However, in no way have you remotely kept any agreement that you had with me. You explicitly stated that unless I was the payee I was no longer your client. Your agreement was with Mr. Andros Mohasci and you have acted accordingly and given all documentation to him. I have call logs for my repeated calls to you and your delayed responses from both Roxanne and yourself refusing to give me the death certificates as your agreement was not with me and since Mr. Mohasci paid you your agreement was with him. I had to go downtown to the Department of Health to purchase four death certificates in a rush due to your actions and insistence that I was not your client but Mr. Mohasci was and that is why you gave all the certificates to him. I have written emails from Mr. Mohasci stating the same. Do not contact me any further with this harassment and request for payment. Contact your client who wrote you the fraudulent check that was returned to you NSF, Mr. Andros Mohasci. 12001 Stanwood Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90066. Any further actions on your part and I will pursue this matter to the upmost remedies of the law. Sincerely, Karin M. Haseltine
