My father had pre-arranged his cremation with Neptune Society. The woman who helped me, Samantha, was so perfectly suited for her job. She made everything just wonderful. Every attribute I would want in a person in that job, she had. She was perfect. It was a very positive experience.

Because my first payment to your organization's office in Portland (Happy Valley?-2 addresses = source of confusion) was lost on the mail. I had to place a stop payment and reissue a check that could not get it to your office overnight. In this process my father passed. Your organization was listed as the contact for his continuation after passing to the assisted living complex where he was living. Because I had no idea that the death during the processing of the contract was an issue, my contract was voided and there was confusion on my part after listening to the voice message from your employee as to whether the concern was for a previously placed contract or for his recent demise. Why would you assume that I know that his demise in the midst of contract arrangements was a problem. I've never done this before.

They were able to take care of everything that needed to be completed. I gave them a call when the hospital said they needed to know who would be picking up my wife's body as it needed to be removed. I called the Neptune Society and they took care of everything from there. I knew of no other option for cremation as I had made no previous plans except my wife wanted to be cremated. All turned out much better than I could have expected given the circumstances.

My Aunt passed away on Jan 28th of this year. My Uncle and her had purchased your plan years ago and we had all been told you just call the number and "everything else will be taken care of!" My cousin called the morning of her passing, as instructed by her Hospice team. It was time... THREE different phone calls were made before someone finally HOURS LATER got back to her and said they were sorry, but "phones were down due to an office fire!" The gentleman who picked her up said, "what office fire? There was NO FIRE!??" After the cremation was complete... "Joan" made an appt. with my cousin to pick up my Aunt, {Her Mom} @ 2pm on Feb 16Th. My cousin showed up at 1:55. Joan said, "She's not quite ready"!
My cousin said she could hear rustling noises from the room next door! WHAT??? That's her MOM!!! Then "Joan" proceeded to explain how to get "into the box with a screwdriver" in case she was planning on spreading ashes. THIS COULD have been handled with SO MUCH MORE CLASS! {Maybe using a MODEL BOX?!!} Even though my Aunt was picked from her home and my cousin signed off on her with the gentleman who picked her up, Joan said she needed a photo of my aunt to "identify her body" BEFORE she could be cremated. Because Joan was very busy and crematorium was "BACKED UP" {Joan's words}, my Aunt laid in the morgue for 13 days!
On Feb 23, I was in town visiting my cousin and uncle, so we stopped by because even after several emails, phone calls, and in person appts we still don't have the original Death Certificate. Joan met us by saying, "Oh it’s nice to meet you!"... To my cousin who she's been dealing with! Then said the certificate isn't in yet, and she is still "waiting on Snohomish County!" My aunt died and lived in KING COUNTY!!! C'MON PEOPLE! This is SO NOT ACCEPTABLE! We are not only saddened by the way this was handled, but my Uncle is very ill and we will be dealing with this company AGAIN!!!

A hospice nurse recommended Neptune Society to me. Neptune was great and I was very happy with them, particularly with Karen who was wonderful. She was attentive, caring, prompt, and she anticipated needs. There was a certain amount of preplanning involved in the process. I would highly recommend Neptune Society.

Neptune Society is an organization worth trying. They were the first thing that came to my mind when my son unexpectedly died because I get the little postcards once in a while in the mail and I've heard of them for years. I told them what I wanted them to do and I asked them about their fees. They explained it to me and they were very compassionate. They also made it very easy because I didn't have much of the information about my son. I haven't seen him for a while and he was at the other end of the United States. When I told them that, they said it was not a problem and that they'd take care of it.

I needed to get my end of life activities in order so my son wouldn't have to do it if anything unexpectedly happened to me. I went to a seminar, made an appointment, and bought a plan. No muss, no fuss. Loved the simple process.

My parents subscribed to Neptune Society many years ago, and they gave me the phone number and said, "Here's where you call." They originally set this up with Neptune's office down in San Antonio, Texas, when they lived down there. When they moved up here, they checked in advance with the local office here to make sure they had a record of this arrangement, and they did. My parents had it all pre-setup and there was one piece of paper that had to be different from Minnesota and they got that taken care of, and the Neptune team was very helpful in setting up the deal that my parents had over at the DVA Cemetery at Fort Snelling.
Both of my parents passed away, and Neptune Society was the smoothest part to manage. Neptune Society met every expectation, and the people were very prompt and friendly. I went over to their office and they had everything all set, and that worked very well. In both cases, I made the phone call and they had a person over there quick to pick up the ashes, and that person at the Valley office was very understanding and meticulous in making arrangements. I transported my parents’ remains to the DVA Cemetery myself as I wanted to do that. Neptune Society had things lined up on both sides and I just carried the remains over and gave it to them, and then they took it from there. There's a lot that goes on when someone dies, and it's nice to have a card with a number that you just call, and then they take care of it.

When my sister initially called in at Neptune Society, her call went to a different call center. The person she spoke to didn't know what was going on and there was some confusion. But she called the national number and everything after that went fine. We worked with Bracken, who's from their local office, and he took care of everything. We had a great experience and we'd recommend Neptune Society. My sister and I have also been talking about us using them as well for the inevitable.

We contacted the Neptune Society at San Antonio, Texas and talked to an agent about cremation services. After attending a meeting in their office we learned more about their services and had our questions answered. We decided to use Neptune Society for our cremation services and are pleased with our choice. We were able to plan our cremation services for the future and not have our children deal with it. Our experience was as we expected and we recommend their services to anyone that wants to plan ahead of time. Thanks.

Upon arriving at the Neptune Society, located at 3801 Williams Blvd in Kenner, La 70065. My two daughters and myself knew we were in the right place. All staff members we had contact with were very professional and courteous.They walked me through the difficult process of cremation arrangements for my loving wife, Susan **. No high pressure sales tactics. I will contact these wonderful team members about my arrangements.

When we received the call from the nursing home that my mother had passed I asked that Neptune be called. A grief counselor called immediately asking if we would like him to visit with us. He was there within 30 minutes, staying with us until it was time for mother to be taken away. He was absolutely wonderful! Very professional and an incredible listener. We were put at ease that we had done everything as respectful and with dignity for her passing. Neptune Society arrived handing me a long stem rose with baby's breath with their condolences. They were dressed in black suites and ties, speaking in a low tone, making me feel more comfortable. As we all left together my last wish was for them to take good care of mother. With a smile, they promised. My entire family are members of Neptune. I would recommend them to anyone who still questioned their way of burial. Thank you Neptune Society.

Our family has recently had occasion to utilize the services of the Neptune Society located in Downers Grove, Illinois. Our mother died in December of 2016 and our father in January of 2018. The compassion shown to us by all of the individuals from Neptune Society was unsurpassed during the time of our mother’s cremation and, more recently, that of our father. The gentleman who transported our father’s body couldn’t have been more caring and professional and Mr. **, who from the beginning process to our last meeting with him was extremely helpful, professional and caring. We could not have asked for a better organization with whom to have been associated at this time of sadness for our family. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the Neptune Society.

I used Neptune Society in Orland Park, Illinois when my father died because I knew that they provided direct cremation at a great value. I didn't contact Neptune until after my husband had passed and they did a wonderful job. I was under a real-time constraint because I didn't realize that my husband was going to pass and I didn't live in New York anymore.
There were some things that were going on with the death certificate and Neptune Society helped make sure it was rectified and that I would be able to get the certificate and the remains in a timely fashion. They kept in touch and worked hard on my behalf. And I was happy with that. Then, 11 days after my husband died, his uncle died. I recommended Neptune Society and a team stepped right in and helped them out. And then, someone else talked to me yesterday because there was someone who's close to pass so I sent her the information about Neptune Society as well.

Hi, I would just like to say that when I signed up for the Neptune Society, the independent sales representative Sherry ** came to my home, (an hour and 30 minutes drive). She was wonderful, amazing, beautiful person. She was very patient and explained everything very well. She made me very comfortable with making my decision to sign up. I honestly believe that God sent this special wonderful woman to me, that made me extremely comfortable with my decision to spend the money to sign up. And when we were all done with the paperwork (which she made extremely easy to do) the weight lifted off of my shoulders and the wonderful feeling of having everything taken care of was amazing.
No matter where you live I would highly suggest getting with the Neptune Society and having all of your Cremation Services taken care of, to take the burden off of all of your loved ones that would be left to make really tough hard decisions. And if you live in the southern Utah area ask for Sherry **, she is amazing. She was very much a blessing to me. Thank you Sherry ** for everything.

Received the highest standards of professionalism from the Neptune Society. They took away the guesswork on what I had to do. They anticipated every issue and resolved it immediately. By far the worst experience with the death of my dad. Can never get anyone to call you back. They dealt with my hometown cremation center and even they said they could never get in contact with them. They call you quick though when you owe them money. They take forever to do anything. I finally got a call from them 5 weeks after my dad’s passing saying my dad’s ashes were ready to be picked up. Had I known my hometown cremation center had my dad’s ashes I would of been in contact with them instead. When I found out I contacting them and they told me my dad’s ashes were ready right after his passing, I never had the worse experience with any business ever. I would never ever recommend them for anything.

Husband died suddenly 01/12/2018. I knew to tell the hospital to call Neptune. My best friends husband had died suddenly 6 months before and she had a positive response and service through Neptune. Neptune did their very best for me too. I will always be grateful for their professionalism and sincere warmth and diligence in providing the care and support I needed at this most difficult time. My children will know who to call when it is my time to leave this life.

When I first talked with the director, he said I can do a digital signature, the norm these days. But when I sent in my digital signature the legal dept said it wasn't good enough. So I had to resign everything "wet". I say, just get with the times.

I was unimpressed with the total experience. We called Trident Cremation in San Diego and somehow ended up dealing with The Neptune Society in LA county. I gave specific instructions to call my cell number and received a message on my home phone instead. The paperwork was not handled professionally. There were several charges we didn’t want or ask for, but were told they couldn’t be removed. The email addresses given were not able to accept attachments that were the size of the paperwork required. I finally had to send 3 pages at a time. Once our credit card information was given, there was no follow up with the timeline of the actual cremation date. When I called, I got vague answers and I got the feeling nobody had followed through. It eventually was handled, it was a negative experience overall.

Michael was extremely responsive to my needs and did a good job of leading me through what needed to be done. Beyond the above, I have nothing to add as I have a whole lot of other issues that need to be attended to at this time. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star is because since I chose Neptune, I have learned from an immediate family member and a close friend with experience with last arrangements that I likely could have had the same services done thru another mortuary and it could have cost significantly less. Given my basically dire financial situation as a result of my husband's passing, not having paid as much as I did would have meant a lot.
My husband's sister was with my husband when he passed at the hospital while I was at home. She received the list of local mortuary options. I chose Neptune within hours of my husband's passing w/o seeing the list largely because of name familiarity from your advertising and now regret not shopping around before choosing Neptune. I totally accept responsibility for my choices made primarily because this was my first experience dealing with any mortuary and in no way blame Neptune. Neptune only did what I asked them to do at a price I agreed to in a very professional and thoughtful manner. Thank you.

This was a disappointing experience for our family. The driver who drove down to pick up mom's remains the morning she died was Great! After that things dropped off dramatically. Kristina was nice enough on the phone, but didn't follow through with actions when she said she would. I had to call/email regarding whether things had been sent - and why I hadn't received them. One time calling for Kristina, the receptionist acted like it was an imposition to put my call through to another associate (Kristina was gone for the next 5 days - Weds thru Mon) to find out when I could come get my mom's ashes. Bracken sort of took over for Kristina at this point and was very helpful in getting me information and scheduling. Right now, almost a month later I do not have a death certificate and will be having to call, again! To find out what the story is. I would not recommend your services to anyone I know and like. People I don't like -- now that's a different story.

There's a sense of peace knowing when my time comes my arrangements are taken care of and paid for. Now I can go on living my life knowing there are no loose ends for my family to have to deal with. The Neptune Society was easy to work with and I have to say, more cost effective than a cremation done through a funeral home. I like that my costs will never increase no matter how long I live. The eco-friendly urn is really very nice. I first learned about The Neptune Society from a client's boss about 20 years ago. I have to thank him for making me aware of you and thank you for providing a wonderful service!

Caring and responsive. My family had some unique requests and all were met with exceptional service. I lost 3 family members over the course of 10 months. Not one regret working with Neptune during the most difficult year of my life.

I have cancelled my term and the office person tell you one thing and then do another. Which is wrong. It takes too long to get money back because of this. Trying to get them on phone even during business hour is not happening. I would not suggest this to others.

Cremation is a topic that we usually don't want to talk about, but there are ways to reduce the stress and make arrangements ahead of time in an economical fashion. We availed of Neptune Society's pre-planning service and it was worthwhile. My wife was a temporary employee there and everything was great with our experience. Their team was very efficient and our customer service rep, Beth, was very good at what she did. She explained everything to us, gave us the right information, and let us make our own decision.

We contacted a local representative through the telephone telling that we were interested in cremation. Jennifer from Neptune Society came out and told us about the program. She was very thorough, and when we had a few follow-up questions, she jumped right on. Jennifer did an excellent job, and their presentation, the size of the organization, and the geographic region were really impressive. I had a feeling of stability about the company, and so we signed up. I wrote a note to the president of their organization. There is a local guy just outside of Knoxville that did a really good turnkey service. We simply had to provide him a cement formation and he took it from there. The overall scope and smoothness of Neptune Society’s services were excellent. We are very pleased with them. I will get myself on the program whenever I need it.

My parents live in Nashville, TN where mom passed away on January 15 and her remains have yet to be returned to her husband. The family was told it had something to do with signing the death certificate, so he was called and made it should like he was either not made aware, or it was inconvenient for him to check on it. Neptune was hired, they should be on top of this. There is something very wrong when you can't get a straight answer and you feel like you are being given the run around about something so personal.

I talked to three different companies that night. It was 3:00 in the morning and Mark from Neptune Society was by far the most personable and understanding. He knew exactly what I needed to hear. He was also very attentive and extremely helpful. He answered my calls and was more than willing to stop whatever he was doing to answer my questions. It has made a big difference. My mother-in-law had the pre-plan services for her and her husband. They lived in Fort Worth and they were the ones that subscribed to it. Then he passed away and everything was taken care of. She moved to New York and then she died in November, so we contacted Neptune Society on her behalf. We knew my mother-in-law had that plan and we knew her wishes. We got a hold of Cindy at the Fort Worth office, and she was wonderful to deal with. It just took all the pressure off of us, and she handled everything just as my mother-in-law wanted. Neptune Society really helped us out and the service was so slick.
The employees were very responsive because she died on a Sunday and by Monday, we had everything in order. They contacted a liaison here, which is another funeral parlor, and they worked with them. They took care of all the paperwork, that all I had to do was go down and write the check out for the death certificates. They were very sensitive, expedient and efficient, and I appreciate their kindness. This experience was so good for us, that now my husband and I are thinking that we should do this for our kids. In case something happens to us, everything is prepaid and taken care of. Neptune Society is kind of unique. It is the best way to go and I would highly recommend them.

I was told two different times that I would be called to tell me when my husband would be cremated and when I could pick up the ashes. I waited for a month and no calls. I called and was very casually told that he had already been cremated twenty days earlier. No calls and no apology. The manager later apologized, after I wrote complaining.

My wife and I finally decided to look into cremation. We talked about it for some time. We saved different ads and chose to call Neptune Society to get information. After talking to their representative we signed up. They covered everything that you can possibly encounter when you pass away. We received a booklet to fill out with all our personal, financial and request. This made us gather all that information so our family didn't have to pull their hair out looking for all the paperwork. The price under $3,000 each, was also a deciding factor. Being informed that I can have a military funeral and that my wife and I can be entombed above ground together was the icing on the cake. Neptune Society handles everything. They even financed the whole thing.

My husband and I met with the Neptune Society representative three years ago. It allowed us to talk about things then that were very relevant as my husband got sicker and sicker. Then, when we contacted the Neptune Society when my husband passed, the people that came were incredible. They were so professional and very nice. We were contacted by Joseph, who's the director of the company where we live, and he could not have been nicer. He did follow-up calls, and anything I wanted and needed. Everything was taken care of. And I've shared his name with several people that we know.
Their service was absolutely great and it made the whole bereavement process so much easier. I did the pre-need with my parents and they both had full funerals, but this just allowed us time to talk about what each of us wanted. After we talked about it, it allowed us to share that information with other relevant family members. It was the best possible experience under the circumstances.

My only complaint is, I'm only 57 and they sent me the Urn in the mail without telling me that was part of the deal! I assumed my loved ones would get the "cherry box" and the urn once I had passed!! Death Cert - I had called. I was not happy with the race described. I called and left messages on the 800 number to correct it and no response. The time of death was also incorrect and it will have to stay that way. No callbacks. Not very satisfied this time.

The young man from Neptune Society that came out four years ago was delightful. He explained everything very thoroughly to us and we decided that this was the way to go. I bought two cremation packets from them for my husband and myself. My husband died November 20th and the nursing home called Neptune and they came right out and took care of everything. They were wonderful. I saw one of their reps when we went to pick up my husband's remains and he was a very nice man. His mother had just passed away so he knew what I was feeling. He was very personable and it was a nice experience. 1-800-NEPTUNE made it so easy and it really worked, just like the man that sold it to me said it would.

I pre-purchased the standard package for my father a few days before his passing choosing one of just two urn options available. We wanted him cremated and spread at sea, so the only option really was the biodegradable urn. We did not want to keep or display the remains. What was sent to my home was a large merchandise box itemized at over $1000 that arrived after his passing and of zero use to me. The crematorium has its own box they use. Neptune Society refuses to accept the return or refund this merchandise that is now just going to have to go in the trash. This seems wasteful and deceptive. Plus there is a one page separate agreement stating a 30 day guarantee on the merchandise they refuse to honor. I am not impressed with the whole experience.

Using Neptune Society's preplanning services has been reassuring and a great relief. My wife passed away just before midnight of Thanksgiving. I called their receptionist at 2:00 AM, and it was very nice. The next morning, Thanksgiving morning, they called me and set up an appointment. I wanted the service to be done by Sunday and our rep assured me that he'd get it done by then and he did. He also took care of everything in terms of ashes.

My representative was Carrie **. Throughout this entire process, Carrie was patient, caring and understanding. She was sensitive to the fact that I had lost a loved one and walked me through everything that I needed to do and explained everything thoroughly. She made the experience as painless and as easy as possible. When I picked up my grandmother's remains, I was able to meet Carrie in person and thank her. We were very satisfied with the quality of the products we purchased from the marketplace. The only suggestion I would make is to have a little more flexibility to adjust the graphics on the products. The image I received was a little distorted.

Our hospice called Neptune on our behalf as per my wife's wishes. The two men who came to our home on Nov 20 2017 at approx 3:15 am, were very kind, gentle and professional. The counselor at Neptune Sherman Oaks, Ca, whose name is Carolyn, was kind and helpful without pushing products which we appreciated very much. Unfortunately, since this death happened on Thanksgiving week and we wanted to witness the cremation, things were backed up and the cremation didn't happen for 15 days. Other than that, we couldn't have asked for more!

We set a time to pickup our Mothers remains. When asked to identify the information on the cremation box, the information was for another person other than my Mom. We were asked to come back in about an hour. When we returned we were presented with another box with the correct information on it. After signing for the remains we were then told that Neptune Society believes in full disclosure. We were then told that our Mother's remains were given to another family, who had her for two days. The person we were working with was very apologetic about the whole mishap.

My experience dealing with Darrell ** of Santa Barbara over the past two weeks has been exceptional. He has been tremendously responsive and helpful in all dealings with my father's passing. My father moved out of state, and when he died, we had a hard time getting the state of origin office to communicate to the new state office. We waited nearly 6 hours for his body to be picked up, with no direct communication. He died the Saturday before Thanksgiving so things were even more delayed due to the holiday and less staffing all around. He was taken to a funeral home that had problems with their crematorium and had to then be taken to another city for cremation... 12 days after he died. The computer system for forms was not streamlined state-to-state so we had problems getting forms signed. The staff at our local Neptune Society was wonderful... but they were working with a frustrating system that left a lot to be desired.

My family's experience with the Neptune Society simply could not have been better. There were some logistical difficulties in our case, and our location manager Jim ** went out of his way to help us. Truly above and beyond. Plus, all of our dealings with Jim and the other Neptune personnel embodied tremendous compassion and kindness, along with being efficient in the extreme. We are very grateful for all of this, and feel ourselves lucky to have chosen Neptune for help in our trying times.

Four years ago, I heard about Neptune Society from a friend. They have such a good reputation and I was very impressed with the lady who came out and talked to us about it. We paid $2500 and I know that there are places that are less and places that are more, but there was something about Neptune Society. My husband and I had a big thing off of both of our minds at that time and they're very good. It seemed like everything would be taken care of, and it was. They did everything they said they would do.
My husband passed on October the 3rd of this year and luckily, we had home hospice, so I was by his side every moment even when he passed. I had to call home hospice and they called Neptune Society because things were already set up. They called me about how much he weighed and I said he lost a lot of weight. Then they sent out a large girl and a small girl who came dressed to the nines in their black and white. They handed me a rose, hugged me and said they're sorry. I felt like I was their only client in the world. Then we walked in and saw my husband.
They gave me all the time I wanted with him. I held him, kissed him and loved on him for a while and then, it was time for them to put him out. I asked if I could walk with them and they let me. I'm not sure they're supposed to do that but it meant the world. I also got to waive goodbye as they put him in. It's a horrible experience, but it couldn't have been better. The ashes were spread and I wear around my neck the thing he had on his toe that was left because they had the ashes wrapped in this oval thing that was burned and I adore and wear it. Two or three people think it's gross, but everyone else thinks it's magnificent. I love it. Neptune Society was glorious, peaceful and kind. They're the best and I'd love to work for them part-time.

Neptune was wonderful and my husband was more impressed than anybody I know. When I found the paperwork that my dad had paid for his cremation, I called Neptune right away and they were wonderful. They took care of everything, picked up my dad, took him to the Neptune Society and it rolled smoothly from then on. Alejandro, the guy we worked with, was wonderful. He was right there, very attentive and very consoling. It was genuine care and personalized. We went to All Souls Church and Alejandro handled everything there. He told everybody what to do and he was very patient in the way he talks which was very soothing. And then, we went to Fort Logan for the 21-gun salute and he was also right on top of everything. He's a great person and needs a raise. I have recommended them to my friends all over. I'm going to pre-plan my stuff for my children and use Neptune Society due to the way it was handled in my father's case.

Per a mail notice regarding pre-planning for cremation, my husband and I attended an informational seminar last Monday, Nov. 20, 2017. Another rep. was supposed to come at the end of this presentation, but never did. We still found the information satisfactory, and agreed to a more in-depth meeting at our home this past Monday, Nov. 27, appt. at 2:30. Re. never showed up, or called. At 2:55PM, I called the original seminar presenter and left a message that no one came. Deedee called back next day, Tuesday morning, at 9:45AM, saying home rep. "tried to call, but our voice-mailbox was full". NOT!!!
At this point, we told her we would get back to her at the beginning of next year. At 10:14AM, we get a call from Richard ** - rep who should have come YESTERDAY, saying he is at our front door (he was...), and can we have our meeting now!!! My husband, still on the phone with him, tells him no. He says he will leave his card... So, our initial seminar went well, and based on our info and due diligence research, we probably WOULD have agreed to signing up for their pre-death plan. However, considering our second encounter, which was totally presumptuous and somewhat suspicious, I am now wondering how our cremation preparations actually would be handled, when the time came! Overall, this company gets good reviews, and maybe just their representation in CO is somewhat suspect, but it certainly did not give me confidence in their operation.

I can see how that can cause a bad impression of our company and that is not how we want our company to operate. I was very moved by the compassion I was shown during the most difficult time in my life (Death of my husband, James). I have used Neptune Society twice in the past. Back in 2011, my father passed away and I didn't know what to do. Neptune Society had a fire sale so I got a hold of them, made arrangements for him and it worked out well. The Neptune team gave the information I needed and they were pretty patient. I'm not the best with figures, so the local rep, Glen, spent a lot of time helping me understand this math. He even went a step further and got my husband's military separation record for us since we also bought a policy for ourselves. Since I knew what I wanted, I went with a basic package. I brought in a couple of friends that signed up as well such as my girlfriend and her husband.
It was bizarre that Neptune sent the cremation urns when we purchased those packages. It's off-putting and really nothing that we're interested in storing for 20 years. We would have preferred to buy our packages, get our little wallet-size cards with the policy numbers - which I'm waiting for delivery - and when we need to use them, we can specify which urn we wanted. When I bought my mom's policy back in 2013, they sent that urn in advance, too, and that freaked me out. I bought it from the Reno office because my mom was down in Reno. I got a hold of the manager down there and sent it back to him. He was nice enough to keep it. Then my mom moved up here to Washington and I used her policy last month. I advised Neptune of that and Glen was great because he got hold of the Reno office and did whatever he needed. They provided an urn which was fine. Other than getting the urns in advance, my experience with Neptune was great.

My parents bought what I thought were the services that Neptune Society provided in 1978 so we used that when my father passed away recently. Their services were professional and reasonable. Also, they followed through with the death certificate. They did my father’s request to spread his ashes over the ocean and it was a good experience under those circumstances. However, we were under the impression that all the services were paid for, but apparently, that's not the case. They never charged for the service portion until it's required. Most folks should realize that if you purchase a membership, it's not the entire cost. Other than that, it's been a fine experience.

My aunt said she was going to live to 100 but she didn’t quite make it. After her passing, I was the one that had the opportunity to clean out her apartment and settle some things. Neptune Society took care of the cremation and they’ve got a terrible location. They're just off of the highway and if you exit where you think they are, you’ve already passed them. You got to do a little loop-the-loop to get back there.
They're extremely nice, though. Being an old codger, it's nice to be around attractive young women that listen to you and laugh at your jokes. Their receptionist was also very nice to me. They made sure that I had the number of death certificates that I was told was needed. All I had to do was show up and hand them my credit card. The lady talked me into a small urn, too. It's metal, about two inches tall and about an inch across that you put some of the ashes in. My aunt had a small one in her closet of my uncle’s ashes and I got a small one for my her ashes. The two urns are sitting side by side and Neptune took care of that for me.
My wife and I both have purchased the whole bucket for ourselves. We made a request and a lady came to our house and set up everything. Funerals can be extremely expensive and the thing that I like about Neptune Society was that once it's paid for, I don’t have to pay for anything else. Everything is pretty much taken care of. No matter which one of us goes first, everything is taken care of. If you're in China and you die, they take care of you from that point where you are and get you back. The one thing I hope they have is a minister to reify the services because we're going to have services. My neighbor did at the cemetery but my aunt made no provisions for that. I would definitely recommend Neptune Society because I've seen how much trouble just a normal funeral can be.

My sister found Neptune Society after my dad passed away. Since my dad was a veteran, we wanted to be sure it was someone that handles veteran stuff. Their rep, Mark, secured everything for the cremation. He was very kind, very understanding, very professional and very compassionate. They took care of everything for us and it was done very beautifully. It's a big thing when you have to go through that but with Neptune Society, it was a comforting experience. Rachel sold my wife and I pre-need cremation plans. Her approach and behavior during this interaction were fine. As she said we would, we received each a wooden box containing the biodegradable urn and assorted paperwork. These were shipped to each of us individually. They arrived within the time frame discussed about ten days ago. However, one of the wooden boxes arrived in damaged condition apparently during shipping. So we called Rachel and left her a message requesting she get back to us so we could determine how to get it replaced. She has never called us back so what action should we take now? We feel that it is appropriate we not accept damaged merchandise.

When I signed up, I gave the representative my address including my apartment number. Apt. 208. Whoever inputted the information from the application to your computer, neglected to copy the apartment number. So... when you sent the “box”, it did not arrive on time. In fact, without the apartment number, it could not be delivered. It was a big hassle until it was finally delivered. The box had to go to the post office for delivery since there was no apartment number. This is such a small detail that became important. Here I sign up with this wonderful company to take care of my remains and save my daughters from additional stress when I die... AND some low level employee goofs! What can I think???? Please just add “Apartment 208” to my mailing label. No need to call and apologize. It is done. It is over with.

My husband fell, got a brain bleed was showing positive signs daily towards improving and all of a sudden we went from talking about rehab to hospice and he died the next day. All in all it was 7 days. I had not made any arrangements because it was sudden. I called the Neptune Society and they were more than nice and took care of everything for me. Everything was done. All I had to do was sign papers and not worry. Thank you Neptune Society.

The loss of my 30 year old daughter was more than any mother should have to bear. How do you plan for that? I asked myself? From the moment a representative came to our home to speak with us until we picked up our daughter's remains the individualized attention was outstanding. My parents purchased a cremation plan from Neptune Society. When my stepfather passed away, we had to go through the process of having his remains taken care of. Neptune Society was very respectful and very kind, and they seemed organized. They had all the details figured out and they answered all of our questions. Everything was very smooth.

When my father passed I called Neptune (Indianapolis) and they told me over the phone that I would not be able to use my father's prearranged service if I wanted to have a service for him at a church. I asked them if they would refund his $2000 and they said he could get $400 refunded. I felt my father deserved a service so I arranged this with another funeral home who could provide the honors that he deserved. Neptune refused to transfer any of the $2000 that my father already paid unless I paid his account balance of $1100.00... Even then they would only transfer $900 to the funeral home... Even after they took $2000 from my father they wanted to get an additional profit from me if I graciously paid his account balance. They also refused to refund the $400 that was originally promised. I'm very disappointed.

I had a fabulous experience with Neptune Society. Cindy was absolutely heaven-sent. She was the person who I personally interacted with and she was just awesome. She was great from the very beginning to the very end. She was so sweet and when I went to pick up my dad's ashes, she had the candle going and Kleenex, and she was just very, very, very compassionate and sweet. It was just so easy. I just made one phone call, literally.

Her speaking voice was so gentle and soothing as she told me what the procedures would be. I never met anybody in Neptune that wasn’t so gracious, ready to help and loving towards my partner by doing everything that they could to make her comfortable. OMG where do I start. My mom passed away Sept. 2, 2017. I called Neptune Society Sacramento, Ca. because I had used them in Fresno on my uncle and sister. They made it easy. This one has been a nightmare. My mom wasn't cremated till after 22 of September. I call on that Friday because I was leaving the country. And was told she hadn't been cremated. All the paper work was wrong. Even though I corrected it. It was still wrong. My daughter went to pick up the urn and paper work. And she told them that it was all wrong. My daughter took all the stuff home and waited until I got back home. It was very upsetting for her. The lady blamed the hospital... I called the hospital and inquired about what was actually written. And they said Sept 2, 2017 @ 9:14 pm. The death certificate said Sept 3, 2017 at 8:30.
So when I got the death certificate and it was all wrong It’s very upsetting. Now it’s being amended and I am still waiting for it... And will probably come back wrong. I truly believe this woman Jamie doesn't know what she's doing. All the dates from birth to death are wrong. It’s wrong on the urn. We never picked out the urn, she did. I sent my mom’s birth certificate and driver license to identify her along with my birth certificate and driver’s license to prove who I was. She must have not even looked at it because all the info on death was wrong.
Not sure if it really takes that long. But it hasn't been easy. Plus you cant do anything with my mom’s stuff because death certificate is not right. And the amended just isn't here. So the family has put everything on hold to bury mom. Cant bury her without the correct certificate because everything is wrong and don't match what the cemetery has on file. Family from out of state have been put on hold. Several are military. But now since it’s been so long since their grandmother’s death they are only allow limited time (3 days). So I say don't use them unless it’s a last resort.

I understand a lot of charges on my bill, but there are a few that I truly don't get. $95.00 for a cardboard box in addition to the cost of $60.00 for a temporary container. Had I not been exhausted, as well as stressed to my limits, I would not of paid almost 100.00 for a cardboard box that is now in the garbage in New Orleans. $150.00 for a 24 hour helpline? I was not asked if I felt I would need this service. Again this would be a charge I could do without. Preparation of the obituary. I understand it's customary for the funeral service to write the obituary. In this case, I wrote the obituary, and submitted it to the home. Maybe a discount would be appropriate in these types of situations?
As the sister of the deceased I was basically forced to charge her cremation on my credit card. "We cannot proceed." I now have a huge credit card charge, that cannot be paid until the money from her estate comes in. She's been gone one month, and the red tape and paperwork takes time. So now I will have interest fees. Thank you for that. I am on a tight budget due to my own spouse being ill, and the added expense of traveling back and forth to see my sister. I've lost both parents, and many family members.
We have had full services with viewing, and funeral home personnel in a large city with a well known funeral home. They were paid by check after when the life insurance was paid. Amy was pleasant to talk with, and did do a good job handling the case, and communicating with me on everything. I appreciated that. My main complaint is financial. The line from Amy during our meeting, the day after she passed. When I asked "what if I don't put it on my card?" The response, "Well, we cannot proceed" is bullying. In a situation where someone has known life such as my sister, it should be allowed to be billed like any other service.

It's been 20+ days with very little progress. I'm nervous, frustrated, embarrassed, bitter. Corrections I submitted on the worksheet on or around Oct. 1st, weren't changed and were submitted for filing with Santa Clara County DOHS, resulting in an erroneous Certified Death Certificate being issued. Your staff was notified on Oct. 13th when I was finally able to obtain the four that I originally ordered through you. OMG! This is taking much longer than Mike originally said it would. His words to me were, "do you want it fast or do you want it done well?" "Well" I responded. I have nothing to show for all this time except empty promises.
Mike said he would get back to me very soon and he did not. So far I've worked with Dayna, Jane, and Mike however no one seems to know how to get this expedited. I've been calling at least twice every week. I think your staff's performance has been substandard. I would like to have my Aunt's ashes hand delivered to me ASAP, and I'm also requesting a price adjustment, a big one. Seriously.

My mother was in the process of dying and my daughter went online. She found Neptune online, called them and they got right back to her. She felt led and she just picked them. It turned out that I had talked with my great aunt and uncle about Neptune as we were in the process, it hadn’t been paid for yet. They too had purchased Neptune. My interaction with their team was wonderful. It was very straightforward and informative. It was a very difficult time and it was handled very nicely. Plus, the cost was amazing. It was a peaceful experience.

I looked at a lot of cremation service providers and Neptune Society has the same price as everybody else. It wasn’t less expensive, but it was the best choice. Their rep did a stunning job of explaining it all without pressuring us to do anything and I felt like it included the things that we needed. He had a very nice presentation folder that made it very clear. We went through the preplanning service with him and he explained what the benefits were. We asked a lot of questions and he had answers for all of them.
One of the things that really cinched it for me was that the funeral home and Smart Cremation both said that all of our children will have to sign off in order for this to happen but we didn’t have to do that with Neptune. That’s important for us because our family didn’t blend well. They don’t really know each other because we were well into our adult years when we married. We’ve only been married 27 years and we’re in our 70's so all of our kids have grown up and had their own lives and gone their own ways. The rep just had us write on the agreement form that none of them could change this and that was important to us as well. We wanted the whole cremation thing to be easy and we accomplished that. I am very happy and we’re very pleased with the plan. We have even told everybody that we know that it’s a great plan.

I can highly recommend the Neptune facility in Paramus, NJ. Mr. Alvin ** handled the entire transaction in a very professional, kind and compassionate way. Jack passed away while visiting his son in NJ, but his residence was here with me in CA. Alvin kept in regular contact with me, helping with the necessary paperwork and many other issues. We are still in contact because Alvin will let me know when the vessel with my husband's ashes leaves from Pompano Beach, FL. Alvin ** is the greatest! I can highly recommend him.

My dad was a veteran and his friend in the Armed Services recommended Neptune Society. Their rep, Russ, came to the house and talked with my parents. Neptune Society was a veteran thing that’s why my dad liked it. After my dad passed, the hospital called Neptune Society. I called the rep later because we wanted to know what the next steps were and he was extremely nice. We ended up going down and meeting with him and he was very relaxed and comfortable. I also like the whole program. It would be something I would look into for myself and my husband.

I was treated with the most kindest, respectful, and compassion. I had never had any dealings with cremation. Rhen went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered to the fullest. Felicia and the team were outstanding and exceptional. Losing my mom was horrific but Felicia was very caring and helped guide us through the process. When I was confronted with notifying a company to pick up and cremate my son at 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning - having just flown into Tampa, I asked for The Cremation Society. I know they are reliable and not expensive. All I was given was the Neptune Society. You are about 3 times as expensive for the same service. The actual funeral home that did the cremation was passable, the gentleman who actually did the cremation was the most helpful. As I am a retired Hospice Nurse, I am familiar with the process. It is all the same, but the people are what make the difference -- although I do not think it justifies charging 3 times as much.

We used Neptune for my wife's mother. She had wanted to be cremated. And so, Nancy followed through with it and we cremated her mom. When we finished everything, I got a hold of Neptune and set it up. I started making payments for my wife when she passed away in June. And Neptune handled everything. It's amazing how family-friendly and professional they are. I talked with their agent, set it up and then when it came time, they made it so easy. It was no hassle at all, which is what I think is fantastic for people who've already got stress and grief. I would definitely recommend Neptune to anyone. In fact, we have told many family members and friends that talk about cremation. We told them, "Don't even waste your time talking to anyone else. Go straight to Neptune."

My husband and I decided over 15 years ago to make plans for our end of life care, and created our health care directives, and decided on cremation at that time. The Neptune Society was very helpful in the process of decision making, and reasonable in paying for final expenses. My husband became ill this summer, and received Hospice care. Neptune Society then stepped in and made all of the arrangements smooth and calming.

5.0 star rating 8/23/2017. I attended a seminar back in Jan. 2017 for the Neptune Society and I was very impressed by everything that was said. At the time, I bought the plan for myself. When I went home and told my mother, she said to sign her up too. Unfortunately, she passed away in April in the ICU. The Neptune Society was caring and made sure everything went smoothly. Two days later I went in the office to sign some papers. Everything I ordered was done promptly and efficiently. Alexis ** was extremely helpful. I have used the name Linda ** for 39 years, and I do not like having my name now listed as Linda **. That is not the name I use. My driver's license and passport have Linda ** on them, and I'm concerned that it will be confusing to others.

As part of our estate planning my husband and I signed up for Neptune Society, prepaid cremation service several years ago. Having that part of end-of-life planning done took one big piece off the crazy list of things that need to be taken care of when you are in no place to handle lots of decisions and details. We were pleased with our representative, the orientation, and time frame from orientation to receiving our materials. There was only one glitch with one kit missing a piece for the picture stand (the ash insert plug). The kit box bottom felt was not attached precisely. QC problem. Why don't we make these in America instead of China?

My father is aging and just celebrated his 90th year of life. He is widowed and has been living with us for over 6 years. We have noticed a gradual decline in his health and needed to understand and prepare for the final moment in his carnal life. We found the contract paperwork confusing to read. When we made a change to the coverage, it was extremely hard to follow the changes to the contract and the payment schedule. The representative Brad ** was able, pleasant and accommodating. We both appreciated his services.

I truly was not impressed with the service from the Neptune Society. Not sure why MD Anderson included this facility on their handout for assistance with planning a cremation. I was disappointed. They easily managed to send an urn catalog to me but struggled getting the paperwork to me to sign for my husband's cremation. When they tried to contact me, they called my deceased husband's phone not mine which was the number I gave them. I was told I would get a permit to transport his ashes but that did not happen. I had to follow up to ensure I did get the permit. Still not received. When I picked up his ashes, I was shocked to see the purple bag they were in. The box his ashes were in had a label slapped on it that was crooked.
During such a devastating time, I never felt my husband was being treated with dignity nor me with compassion. The cost of this service was high for what little they actually had to do and the way they did it. This was not an experience anyone wants to go through. The least they could do is try and handle it with professionalism and dignity.

I recently lost my Mother unexpectedly. Truly the hardest days, weeks and now months I've faced but Mom had decided on cremation so we elected to use Neptune and I can sincerely say the Customer Service Pam gave was outstanding. So patient and she made you feel as though you were life long friends. She was prompt, courteous, a good listener, understanding just to mention a few of her qualities. I returned to Neptune Society services when my Mom recently passed. I believe I worked with Trina (forgive me if I have forgotten name). Neptune Society had been so good with me when my Dad passed 10 years before. I plan to pre-arrange for my own cremains with Neptune Society so that my children will be the recipients of their tender care.

We were sold a cremation package for 2395.26 each. We signed the papers put in front of us but did not understand that 1135.31 was for a memento chest with biodegradable urn, some thank you cards, a picture frame, and an information book. Shame on us for not fully scrutinizing what we signed for. Had this been fully explained to us we would have never accepted this option. We're stuck with it now. Be careful and read everything that's put before you.

Like many elder citizens, we too were struggling about end of life issues. We had Wills made, property planned distribution, but were not settled with our absolute and inevitable final details. Somehow we met with a Neptune counselor and everything fell smoothly into its proper place. We are happy and so relieved to have those pesky issues beautifully resolved. We heartily commend Neptune to family, friends, and neighbors now.

My mom had pre-purchased her cremation through the Neptune Service and the process could not have been smoother. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and thoughtful. Jody was assigned as our point person and she was incredibly kind, very helpful in handling everything for us, and was ready to answer any questions that we had. A friend recommended the Neptune Society when our 26 year old son died unexpectedly two months ago. My friend was very please with the help she received at her husband's death. Julie ** met with our family. She was caring and patient and helpful with the information that we needed and the procedures that were necessary. I will never get over the fact that she stayed 45 minutes after closing for us at the Crematory so that extra family members could view our son. She is a very compassionate person and exceptional employee. And upon viewing our son it went from something that we dreaded to being a wonderful and holy experience. It was a beautiful setting and our son looked so natural. We were all so very pleased and relieved. We were blessed.

Have received several telephone messages from a Barbara ** requesting I call her back... doesn't identify why and acts like a friend. I answered the phone this evening and she hung up. I called her back and told her it is unprofessional the way she calls and fails to identify herself... also, not to call me again. I had wanted cremation information for my husband and myself... but disappointed in the customer service skills or lack thereof in providing information. Will look elsewhere.

PRE-PLANNING CREMATION - I recommend this to everyone I know. Several years ago, my elderly father who was living with my husband and I, handed us a Neptune card when we got home from work. He had pre-paid everything to make it easier for us. And 4 years later, all I had to do was make a phone call. So when my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer, we pre-paid for his. Again, during the worst day of my life, I gave the ICU nurse my card and she called for me. Since then I have pre-paid my own, so that it will be easier for my niece.

I felt that from the moment I had a conversation with a salesman, this was a hard sale situation, with the added pressure of time constraint due to "special deal". There were questions I had regarding the way the charges were listed; i.e. "merchandise" which was a very large amount. These questions were not answered until I asked several times and refused to take an answer such as "my little bit of commission, paperwork, etc" which in mind is not merchandise. When pressed by the salesman's boss, I was told that the amount quoted under merchandise was there so that it would not be included in the trust, in other words, Neptune could spend it. I don't know if Neptune provides a good service. I suppose I will find out when my mother passes, as she bought her cremation services 20 years ago, when Neptune had a different way of doing things. I cancelled mine because I don't like dishonesty or unethical practices.

I live in Southern Oregon, my mother died in Tacoma. I was unable to travel to Tacoma and made all of the arrangements long distance. John ** did an outstanding job working through all the details through telephone, text messages, and email. John made what was a difficult situation easy. He followed up on all the details and we reached a successful conclusion. I had high expectations of the Neptune Society and they were exceeded.

Given the gravity of losing a loved one, I have found that the funeral director and sales representative for the Neptune Society provided the highest quality services that I have come across in a long time. Most importantly, they were respectful of my situation and efficiently carried out the necessary tasks without any worries on my part. My father died recently. It was a horrible and unexpected situation and my family was not prepared. The Neptune Society took care of all of our needs and gave us information on what we needed to do to get everything in order. They were patient, compassionate, and beyond helpful. I feel secure and comfortable knowing the Neptune Society is very well established and accredited with the Better Business Bureau. When I spoke by phone with Joe a couple of times he was always helpful and easy to communicate with each time. Once I had decided to choose Neptune, they were flexible in where I could meet with them. Eric did a great job of personally meeting with me and answering any additional questions I had. Both my family and I are very glad I have signed up and made arrangements with the Neptune Society.

The CSR was a very friendly, informative and extremely thorough when representing the Neptune Society's products. She was patient and addressed all our concerns, and was concise with her answers. When I posed a question she could not answer, she called a supervisor to resolved my inquiry. Over all, I was pleased with the way the CSR presented your product, which made our choice to move forward with the purchase of our end of life package easy. Now, my spouse and I have a sense of peace knowing that in our time of need, we will be taken care of and our end of life issues will be handled seamlessly.

I contacted the Neptune Society because I wanted to make sure that my death carried as little periphery damage as possible. My sons both live abroad and I didn't want them to have the added burden of making my final arrangements. I travel a lot and the fact that my remains would be collected and cremated from anywhere in the world is a comfort. The one major complaint I have is that I find it intrusive and objectionable that I have to keep the cremains container in my home. Surely there could be a better arrangement.

I was not expecting such a great group of people. My husband was very ill and it was hard for me to focus on end of life decisions. They walked me thru all the details with such compassion and detail. I would highly recommend them to anyone that plans on cremation.

My experience with the salesperson was very good. She was pleasant, informative, not aggressive. It would have been nice if the final ID cards had arrived more quickly, but I was assured that the temporary ones would "work" if the need arose.

The Neptune Society (Jacksonville, FL) was very helpful. The service was very sensitive to the sudden passing of my husband. They took the time to explain what will happen and who was available to help me and my family at this difficult time. Truly, all I had to do it dial the 800 number and the details were taken care of which provided me with a great deal of comfort. The Neptune Society was incredibly caring, and HELPFUL! I really cannot emphasize how manageable they made a difficult situation, and how they handled everything from beginning to end. Our experience with the Neptune Society was our first. However, because of our recommendations, many other family members and friends and co-workers are now leaning toward considering cremation when the time comes. Amy and Ren were great; they explained everything, took the time to answer questions, were available when we called or forgot something, and made us feel that they were there to take care of us. And they did. I know they probably feel like they were just "doing their job" - but in a situation like the death of a loved one, going the extra mile with people who are bewildered at the process means a lot. I highly recommend the Neptune Society. We did not have to worry or make phone calls or visit the coroner or the state vital records office; all of that was taken care of. Thank you, guys, for making a difficult time of life much easier to cope with.

We heard good things about Neptune Society. My significant other did all the research, and once he signed up with them, because we want to be scheduled together, I felt that I had to use the same organization. When Wanda came they talked about my doing it but I had to wait for a while because I need to pay for it. And then Joel called me and we started another nice relationship. He was very kind. He kept on reminding me, calling me to see if I was ready. And then when I was ready, he came over and did a wonderful job signing me up. Joel took down our wishes and he knows exactly what we want and he put it down on our file. However, I don't like getting the urn. That makes me feel dizzy about it. But Joel explained to me that that was necessary. Also, the only thing I haven't received yet is my actual cards. I've been signed up with them since April so I thought I should have them by now. But they're doing a good job and I had a very good experience.

My aunt, who I acquired the Neptune Society for, was at an assisted living. I found out at the last minute that my aunt didn’t have a cremation. The manager of the assisted living had dealt with a couple and Neptune was one of them. He told me to go look at Neptune's website because it was a good way to do the cremation. I did that and put my name in there for contact and it all evolved from there.
I've had marvelous interaction with everyone from Neptune. They saved my life. That’s a funny statement but it’s true. From the time that I got the phone call from a woman who sat down to share her knowledge and tell me what Neptune was. She was helpful in every way and helping me understand even about assisted living. She was experienced everywhere. She was also talking to me about cremation. Although I have some knowledge of cremation because I had set it up for my mom. That was a long time ago and I was scared then, but now, I had a woman sitting in front of me who really took the time and it was wonderful.
I saw this woman on a Friday. I purchased the cremation that Friday and that Sunday, my aunt passed away with. Then I got a phone call from the hospital and they asked me what would they do with my aunt. I told them to call Neptune Society and Neptune would tell them what to do with my aunt because I didn’t know what to do. My aunt already had a place to be buried, she just needed to be cremated. We didn’t even have the check yet because the check was just handed to the lady on Friday. But then that was taken care of and a couple of days later, I got a phone call from John and he helped me from then on.
John called and talked me through the paperwork and death certificate. He was very helpful all the way through to the point where he scheduled her burial with the Tolman National Cemetery where her husband was buried as a veteran. John had that setup and I didn’t have to take her there. He was the one who took her there and I watched there the day of the burial and it was the easiest thing in the hardest time in your life. I couldn’t be thankful enough. I'm very satisfied with Neptune, they made my life very simple.

I was disappointed when I received my paperwork back from the Neptune Society. I had signed a bunch of papers but the one that they did not return to me was the one with the actual amount that was charged to my credit card. Instead I received some fictitious payment schedule that made it look like I was financing the purchase and was for a different amount than what I actually paid. I understand they have to keep a certain amount in trust but I think I should get a receipt for the actual amount of the transaction. This is not a used car purchase. I expected them to be more up and up than they were. Otherwise, it was ok.

I'm retired so I had nothing else to do and my wife passed away about a year ago. The cremation service was something that was like at the back burner. When I saw that there was a free lunch being given by Neptune, that got my attention. I decided to go and see what was going on. I listened and asked questions. They gave us questions and even threw out some numbers on what the cost could be. But I didn't make my decision there. There was no pressure and I talked to my son and my daughter-in-law and they said, "Well, whatever you want to do, pop." I thought about it and checked with another place but Neptune seemed to be the right place to go.
I also looked up their reviews and there were a couple ones that were bad but to me, it was not something that was a problem but something that they like to nitpick. For instance, a guy died somewhere else and Neptune had to charge them extra to bring him in. But it says right in the contract, it's only a 50-mile radius. But they didn't want to pay the extra charge to transport the ashes. The good reviews were great, though.
Afterward, I called and made an appointment to meet with Neptune and signed all the paperwork and gave them a deposit. About a week later, I got the stuff I was supposed to get. Everything was nice and smooth. I set up a payment plan and it was reasonable. I'm able to afford that at this time so hopefully, in my passing, my children will not be burdened with that. It worked out great. I feel very comfortable now and I'm not worried about it.
My package was a plan for your last request so I have a plan that I've been working on. There were also a lot of stuff that they gave that I didn't expect. There was a box they gave where you to put your remains in and it was better than I expected. Overall, there was no confusion and no bait and switch. The numbers given to me were the numbers that we went with and they changed very little. It was simple and easy and was a very good experience. I suggest to anybody who is considering it, to at least go and have the free lunch.

When my aunt passed away, we had everything pre-arranged at the funeral home where she was at except for her cremation. The cremation was more than we could afford at the funeral home where she was supposed to be interred at and they suggested we check a few places that might be able to do the cremation at a little bit more in our cost range. We found out about Neptune Society and chose them because of their price and they could cremate and send her to the funeral home where her plot was.
They kept us well-informed about what was going on and anything that we needed to do during the whole process including when it was to be shipped. We also paid them in advance and they accepted my aunt’s body. It arrived where she was being interred and told us it was there and we could view it getting placed on the ground and everything was then finalized. They were very respectful and made it very easy for us to understand. Their price was really affordable for us. It was a very wonderful experience and easy transition with what we needed and helped us make it go very smoothly.

The young lady that took care of me was great and I had spoke with her a year ago. And this year I was able to purchase my cremation packet. I did not want my sons to have to worry about it. My father-in-law recently passed. Our experience overall as was fine. Will was very kind and helpful with questions we had. My only issue is with the label that was put on Bill's container. It was not put on the container straight. This may seem like a small thing and probably is, however, it's bothering me enough to write this. When my father died in 2007 my mom and I went over to Neptune Society because we knew that he had wanted to be cremated. Then she had already pre-paid her whole Neptune Society cremation and urn. I had a wonderful interaction with Neptune with my mother passing away this last March. Tisha was very, very helpful with handling my mom's affairs. Any interaction we had with her was very positive.
After mom passed in the hospital, we called Neptune Society and they took care of transporting her body. And then going and meeting with Tisha at the office a few days later, just to find out what the process needed to be and how many death certificates we needed and mom's urn. So it was very easy for my brother and I. It was nice that we had only one contact person other than the individual who sits in the front, just as a receptionist, who was also very good, very friendly, and very professional.
My mother had a finger on one of her hands that was kind of deformed from when she was a child and that was my favorite finger of hers, which sounds weird to say, but it was special. And so, I had asked them to make fingerprints or Tisha offered to have fingerprints taken. She had the fingerprint mailed to me. My mom passed away in Nevada and we live in Colorado and my brother is up in Washington State, and we had asked if Tisha could send some of mom's ashes to us through the mail, just a small portion so that we could sprinkle them on Mother's Day. She overnighted them and got them to us and was just very helpful. So overall, they were really exceptionally professional and compassionate to us in a time that we definitely needed that.

This was our family's 2nd experience with Neptune Society and while it's very difficult time, they make it as smooth and professional as possible. Very kind, caring and understanding...
