Great customer service. Lori was able to answer all our questions. She even let us know of special boxes offered to veterans and other benefits. In the time of quarantine she was a breath of fresh air.

**Update to top it off! Came home to find a note still in the box saying to fill the picture frame with some ashes and guess what's not done! This whole experience has been a ** show and someone should not have to go through this after losing a loved one. Absolutely unprofessional and unorganized. They had my Stepfather (Jeff **) for 17 days! First excuse was doctor didn't sign the death certificate when I called to check up on the progress. It had already been 9 days since he passed away and no one seemed to notice they are storing a body with no signed death certificate. Then once I started calling every day it still took another 8 days until he was ready to be picked up and not to mention we told them when we would be coming and he was still not ready as they thought we had the box in which we gave them at the viewing/visitation. No one knows what's going on and they seem not to care one bit!

Neptune Society was a loving gift from my parents. During my mother's final days, just knowing that they would be there to help was a relief. After she died, Adam at Neptune Society was available right away to answer questions and advise me on what would be done for me and what I would need to do. Everything was paid for, and in the following days, Adam was readily available if I had a question. All of his help relieved a lot of stress.

Very good service and communication at a tough time. They took care of everything in a caring and professional manner. When a death in the family happens, you're in a fog for a while and they help you navigate all the things you need to do. I highly recommend using them in your time of need.

I was happy to have gotten the Neptune Society to take care of my Beloved Dad's passing, and follow through to the end. Of course, because of the pandemic, and the situation in NYC & NJ, this was hard.

During this pandemic, when family and friends cannot come together to mourn and travel is nearly impossible, Roger at Neptune in Fort Myers made the arrangements for my mother's cremation as easy as possible. He also quickly sent us the death certificates and an urn with her ashes. Neptune was the best choice for us at this time.

I was referred to this company by a friend, that stated she had a 100% ideal experience with this company. While it was prior to the COVID-19 crisis, I understand that, but given the post body preparation experience I had, I was deeply frustrated and not in any way comforted. As to the preparation of the bodies, I applaud the company, while on the other hand, when I picked up the remains, the staff treated me like a “diseased customer”. They had me verify my license through a glass door, I am a hearing impaired veteran, and their dispositions, particularly of the elderly woman that assisted me through a glass door, was DEPLORABLE!
After I finally gained access, she huddled by the internal office door as I entered the building, at this point, we were at least 20 feet apart. As I mourned and signed for my parents remains, she remained inside the office, her and the gentleman. The scene was embarrassing, because it lacked empathy, compassion of any sort, and completely non-professional. They didnt even offer me Kleenex.....

When my dad died I really had no idea what to do. I had never been in charge of a funeral before. Joe at the Neptune Society was so much help. He walked me through the process and was there for any questions I had. It took a huge weight off my shoulders at a really difficult time.

My wife Donna’s cremation - Everything was okay until I did not get notified of her date to be cremated. I would like to have been more in thought and prayers that day. Instead, I learned about it four days after the fact. Otherwise I was totally satisfied.

Michael ** was assigned to my husband's cremation. Michael was very courteous, calming and reassuring in a time when I needed all the above; he even gave me his cellphone number. He made the process as easy as possible for me, trying to simplify all aspects, calling only when necessary, and telling me that there is no stupid question and to please call whenever I had any questions at all. Everything has been handled expeditiously and we are awaiting DFW National Cemetery's reopening due to the COVID-19 pandemic for a final tribute.

We trusted The Neptune Society with both of my Aunts' cremations. They died 9 days apart. Even though we are in the middle of a pandemic, Dan always took the time to answer my questions and was always professional and reassuring. I would definitely recommend The Neptune Society with any future needs.

When my wife passed, in our home, after a three-month struggle with pancreatic cancer, I knew only that I wanted to do for her as I knew she and I agreed we both wanted, to have her remains cremated. I had received solicitations from the Neptune Society over the years, so I knew the Neptune Society were undertakers specializing in cremation. Subsequent services on their part, always delivered with courtesy and compassion, were most helpful in the face of the tragedy of losing the partner with whom I had spent three-quarters of my life.
My daughters were around me during this time, and they were also treated with great respect and kindness, on those occasions when they interacted with the Neptune personnel. Finally, it must be said that the Neptune people were never pushy about the scope or specifics of the services to be provided. The total cost, for all the services and keepsake items, was quite modest, compared to my understanding of the industry norms. All in all, a fine organization for a need such as this.

I went with Neptune Society but a couple of days afterwards, I cancelled my contract and I went with a different company. The first time I was introduced to this cremation was a little over a year before I met with the guy from Neptune, and I had kept the paperwork. I went to the presentation which was fine. I did sign up, but I had gone to this other presentation where I found a better deal. They were substantially less expensive for the same product. I saved over $1,000. You can cancel with Neptune within a month, and I did it early on. They did help me out and they didn't make it difficult to cancel, and I did get my refund recently. They said it could take up to 90 days, but it didn't. Then I was concerned about the Coronavirus making it even longer, but it turned out I did get it back.
I’ve been dealing with Neptune's West Covina branch. I was dealing with Noelle initially, but then when I cancelled, I’ve been speaking to their office and she helped me out. I sent her the form. I called the main office in Florida just to make sure my refund was on its way. But Noelle was quite helpful in West Covina, and there were a couple other people I spoke to. They were quite helpful in the refund area.
The telephone response has been good. Shortly after I did sign up, I had some questions. I spoke to the office manager at West Covina. He was quite communicative and friendly and I had positive response to him too. Initially, I wasn’t gonna change from Neptune to the other company, but then when they had this real rollback for the Coronavirus, it was a deal I could not pass up.

We had a hospice come in for my husband. I knew my husband wanted to be cremated so I asked what some options there might be. The nurse from the Brockton Visiting Nurses recommended Neptune. They were awesome. Going through all of this and it being a difficult time, they were just very personable and they took a lot of stress off of certain decisions that had to be made. They made the whole process a lot easier. It was a process that I wasn’t familiar with like the cremation. But there was never any non-communication about anything. It seemed to go very smoothly.

Marianna ** did an excellent job for me and my beloved Phyllis. The only thing I was informed of that did not happen was, I was told that Neptune notified Social Security but SS was not aware of my wife’s death until I contacted them. Not a big problem, everything worked out OK.

Why did all of the leader sentences have a "Continue Reading>>>" link that led to information that was half blacked out? I figured out how to highlight the black spot so I could read what was behind there, but it was really irksome. As if grief is not annoying enough!

Most of our interactions was done over the phone. I called them in the morning not knowing that he was gonna pass at night. We didn't really want a service. We just wanted him cremated and I have the ashes. I like the container. I'm very happy with it.

Tim, explained all the processes to me that I would need to take from start to finish and was very patient with our family as I had to go back and forth with everyone. Lori was always kind, professional, sweet and an expert. She guided us through the unexpected death of our daughter. We are grateful. She should us Tennessee hospitality. Everything was perfect and on time. Her choices and rates were excellent. There's already so much sorrow and stress, she handled everything with Grace. I’m in Florida and my son was at the coroner’s office in Farmington, Connecticut. I called Neptune Society because they have an office close to that location. I was unable to go to Connecticut to take care of this. But Theresa in the Newington office took care of everything from her end. Everything was great.

Our hospice nurse gave us Neptune Society's information. My experience was pretty smooth and easy. The receptionist, LaShaun, was very sweet, helpful and friendly. That’s really important considering the situation of having to deal with a loved one. She answered the phone quickly. She was very sincere. I dealt with Anna, too, and she was okay. I had a lot of intense questions for her.

Cremation. Before my husband’s death we had used the Neptune Society for his father and brother’s passing. They made a difficult time easier to deal with. Any questions I had was met with an immediate response from the staff. But Kellie is the one who handled everything from start to finish. Edward **, went well beyond anything my family could have asked for in our time of need. Ed simply made a terrible situation much easier to handle and navigate through. He went out of his way on a number of occasions to accommodate my family's needs. When my family needed to leave unexpectedly to manage some affairs out of state he made a house call. Ed even found a workaround for us when we ran into an issue with our chosen funeral home. Ed felt more like a friend than anything, it was exactly what we needed.

My husband was killed in a motorcycle accident. Because I was in shock I went with Neptune. They charged $1905 when others in Pinellas County, FL charged $700. I WAS TOTALLY RIPPED OFF. Your staff in Palm Harbor FL were not knowledgeable and needed to learn customer service. My bad for not checking around but I was in shock. I will advise others to stay away from your service.

My wife Cathy, and I have been Neptune members for many years. We joined because we liked their offer of service and we both felt cremation was easy and beneficial for each other and our families. Cathy passed away in Colorado Springs at 0330 on 19 February in our home. We planned her passing to be at home when she entered hospice care. The hospice nurse contacted Neptune that morning. I had requested they not pick Cathy up until after 0800. They did arrive between 0815 and 0830. Todd ** contacted me concerning Cathy's death. He was very compassionate and caring. He answered all my questions and helped with a viewing on Friday, 21 February for my son and his family.
The funeral home here in Colorado Springs has been most gracious. They returned Cathy to me today, 4 March. I am currently waiting for Cathy's clothes to be returned and to finish up any paper work and get her death certificates. I would heartedly recommend Neptune to anyone considering cremation. We have our burial arrangements made but if you do not, they can assist with contacting a local cemetery to arrange for burial. Thank you Todd, staff and the staff at Chapel of Memories for your help at this difficult time.

Katrina was who helped my family finalize my son's cremation, she was extremely helpful and compassionate and helped to make the whole experience a lot less painful. First and foremost, many thanks to Michael ** who responded promptly to our distress call. He was very professional yet personable to ensure confidence and trust in his business ethic and Neptune Society. In today's world customer service doesn't own up to its name and often time leaves a lots to be desired. However, not the case with Michael, he went above and beyond to provide exceptional service and was always available to answer any questions we had. This was our first experience with cremation, Michael was very patient and educated us about the process every step of the way and did lots of hand holding and provided much comfort. I would highly recommend Michael ** of the Neptune Society.

My salesman was a very pleasant, knowledgeable young man. His sales approach was genuine, in that he listens to his customers' concerns, thoroughly explains the program components and doesn't pressure the consumer into an impulse purchase. After the presentation, I waited a few days to review the documents before committing to a purchase. I completed my portion of the paperwork prior to my salesman's return and the transaction was completed within minutes. My contract and urn are in a secure place within my home known to select family members. One wallet card is in the cremation kit (urn), the other is in my wallet. I definitely recommend Neptune Society for anyone's cremation needs.

I lost my dear friend of 46 years suddenly to a sudden illness. No one would have ever expected it. Don has no family and was down on his luck at the time of his death. This left taking care of his remains to us his friends. I got a referral from my blood brother who had used your service. I called and got Raymond on the phone. He is awesome and could not have done a better job. He did things I did not know needed doing. The whole thing from start to finish was perfect.

On December 30, 2019 my mother-in-law passed and it took Neptune Society of Santa Barbara four hours to pick up her body. Our payment was made years earlier for over $2400 and yet it took them 31 days to provide her remains and her death certificates despite repeated calls. The delay and unprofessionalism caused by these people caused much distress within the family who was trying to arrange services. On January 16, 2020 17 days after the passing of my mother-in-law my sister-in-law passed but instead of using Neptune Society we decided to use Reardon’s funeral home of Ventura. Reardon picked up her body immediately and had her remains to us along with the death certificates within four days for a cost of only $800. If it were possible I would sue Neptune Society Santa Barbara for this disgrace.

Matt, we wish to express our heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Neptune Society always works to provide the highest quality of service, and we deeply and sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction you experienced with our service and any delays that you encountered. A friend of mine that I work with told me about Neptune several months before my dad passed away. He told me that they were very pleased with how their experience was as far as the cremation service went. My father passed in October, and my brother and me went and got it all set up for him ‘cause he wanted to be cremated. I can’t say enough nice things about these people. They were great. The time when it was happening as far as when my dad passed ’til they came and started all the process up was not very stressful. They were very upfront with all the costs and how things work. The service manager in our local area here in Ohio, in Cleveland was very attentive. I was very appreciative of that.

My sister set up with a cremation society, but I didn’t know which one. And so, I went through all of her papers and Neptune kept coming into my mind. The box that would contain a smaller box and the picture frame was at the house, but there was nothing on that box that says, "Neptune." I couldn’t identify anything, so I called Neptune and they verified it was her, and from then on, it was a great experience.
My sister was involved with Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton that took care of everything. The funeral home came and then they sent her ashes to me in Gainesville, Florida. Everything went very smoothly and the guy we worked with was very sympathetic. He did not push me or tried to talk me into anything other than what my sister had already planned. I also got Neptune for myself already. The lady came to my home, which was very nice. She sat down, we talked about what I wanted to have done, and she set me up with a plan. I paid for it, and I’ve gotten my box already in the mail. I also got the Neptune cards where I keep one in my wallet, one in my car, and one with my daughter. Setting up was very easy.

I greatly recommend the Neptune Society for the care and cremation of a loved one. They handled everything with extreme compassion from picking up my Mother's body, wrapping her in a very nice black cover and pillow with gold trim on both. She was transported in a black, unmarked suburban by a very empathetic couple. Arolyn, in the office, was very helpful when I got lost trying to find the office and Tim was so sympathetic and thoughtful during our meeting, answering any questions that I had. He kept me informed of everything I wanted to know. I highly recommend them to anyone interested or needing help with the cremation of a loved one. My husband and I have both joined this Society in preparing for our journey into eternity with God.

I'm a nurse and I had numerous folks that had passed that had Neptune Society accounts. And when my sister passed away and I was looking for someone to help us out, that was the name that I could remember. I dealt with their rep Samantha and she was fantastic. She was a funeral director when I went there the first time and she got me through the entire process. Then just as everything was finishing up, Samantha mentioned that she was going to the sales end of it and leaving the funeral direction part of it.
At the time, we had to scramble for my sister, and my wife and I had decided that we weren’t going to put that on anybody else. So, we took care of signing up with Neptune and we tapped Samantha for that. She came out to the house and was very personable. She was also very friendly and got us through the process of getting signed up. One of the things that really attracted me when we went through the sales process was the returning your remains from wherever it happened. If everybody’s lucky, we go peacefully in our bed at home in our sleep and it’s not a drawn-out affair. But you hear the stories about people that were on vacations when they died and having that guarantee of getting the remains home was very comforting. ‘

My oldest brother had signed up with Neptune and he has now passed away. They did an excellent job with him. They called me, told me he passed away and that they were picking him up. I had a couple things to get to them and I did it that day. We photographed our ID for the coroner, and I emailed that to him real quick, and a couple other things he wanted, and he got it going. There was something for a couple of hundred dollars and I gave him a MasterCard number. He put it down, charged me and away we went. They emailed me back, and everything was fine and taken care of. About three or four days later, I received his ashes. It was very efficient. Information was communicated and everything went real well.
I decided that I would sign up for myself and my wife. She’s on hospice now and I’m not far away. We’re both in our middle 80s. The fellow called me and he came up to see me. He came to my house and I was some familiar with it, so we just went through it a little bit. I told him what I wanted to make sure that was covered, and everything was paid for, so there were no surprises in the end. He assured me it was all one payment, and we were paid for. We signed up, I paid him and it didn’t take couple hours. I’ve got these things from Neptune, including a little box to keep the ashes in.

My sister Helen recently passed away in Naples, Fla. At the time of her death she had a contract with the Neptune Society. This was my first experience with cremation services for a family member, but I felt obliged to carry out her last wishes. I could have not wished for a more positive experience! Our experience with Neptune Society was incredible. When my father, a vet, passed away on October 21st, Chris, our representative, told me exactly what was gonna go on and gave me the contact. He also called and kept us informed and made the whole process so easy and comforting. Neptune Society took care of scheduling everything and all we had to do was mourn. And when we had to get the death certificates, we didn’t know what to do or how many. We said 20, but they said to start with 10. They could have made a lot of money on us, but they didn’t. They cared about us and not the bottom line, and that really made the difference.
After I received the care that they gave me with my father and heard the love in Chris' voice, I said that I’m gonna use them too. When Rosanna came over and she signed me up she was incredible. She explained everything to me. She was so loving and comforting and understood my grief. When I was talking to her about my own arrangements, I said that I was on disability and I didn't have that much money. She put me into a plan that fit my budget, which was very comforting to me. Neptune Society is not false. Knowing that you’re being taken care of by somebody that really cares and does what they say is very comforting. Also, the weekly emails from them are very comforting too.

My husband died suddenly and I called Neptune once the firefighters and police said it was ok to call a crematorium. I knew of Neptune from when my mother passed - she'd had a prearranged/prepaid policy in place - smart thinking! I called Neptune and they arrived in a timely manner and did an excellent job of walking me through the paperwork. Then they allowed me to have some final moments with my husband. Neptune was efficient in showing up, walking me through the required paperwork at home (not much), in taking my husband to their facility, following up with me to set a date for me to go to their office, helping to arrange an autopsy when my family changed our minds (we had originally declined on the day of death), and finally walking me through the paperwork in their office. The office visit is hard, especially when dealing with a sudden death. Please allow a friend or neighbor to drive you. I thank Neptune for taking care of my husband.

This was my first experience with a great loss as the one I had. I was overwhelmed with the everything I had to do on top of grieving for my mother. Contacting the Neptune Society was easy and they handled all the necessary paperwork and contacted the people needed on notification of my mother’s passing. Many years ago a representative came to our house to explain to us what would be involved in the cremation process. He was very nice and informative. My mother decided to pay for her cremation so that I would not have to deal with this later on, she always thought of everything. I want to personally thank Beth and Jenny for their thoughtfulness and nobleness and caring of hearts, during this most difficult time in my life. My mother was everything to me, her passing has affected very much and will forever.
Beth and Jenny were very thorough in explaining everything to me, and also making sure that all the documents would arrive on time. One other thing is that they were on top of things and would call me if there was going to be any delays, the communication was great.Their compassion and understanding goes above and beyond. I was surprised at the physical location of Neptune Society when I asked how do I get Stan’s remains, I was told I could pick them up or they could be mailed 2 me! I asked and how much will that cost? I was told it was included in the $1722.00 I had already paid! I felt like that information would NOT have been told to me if I had not asked! Also more than 1 death certificate should be part of the package! I did NOT know that NS is a middleman in the process! I would NOT use NS ever again! My father passed 9/23/19. He STILL has not been cremated! You have had all the docs and paperwork you require for weeks AND payment! Your Santa Barbara branch is a complete failure & have done NOTHING but pass the blame on to the Los Osos Valley Mortuary. Josh and Brent are useless! My Mom is in tears and traumatized over this! You've done NOTHING but give her the runaround and make this time MORE DIFFICULT! Do something!

I called a few weeks about to inquire about the Neptune Society. I have received calls EVERY day at least TWO times a day about signing up. OMG! I am ready to scream. I am not sure if I have other options, but I am going to look! This has been the most annoying experience! I want to be cremated but calling the Neptune Society is scary! it is borderline harassment!

Neptune Society has contacted the consumer by phone to provide the resolution that we have fully removed her contact from our database. There was no reply and we left a voice message with our contact information in regards to the resolution. Neptune Society always strives to provide the utmost in service and customer satisfaction to each family we serve.

Having never experienced finding a loved one dead, all the police and coroner and hrs. After the fact and having no prior arrangements for a death occurring. I appreciated speaking to someone very shortly after calling your number and your people coming to get my brother as soon as you could/did. I thought the amount of time it took to cremate him as well as $1500 to do so, without any other services, was horrible. Those were our wishes though. And you said that was a normal timeframe. I didn’t have any choice and am still having an extremely hard time, losing my only brother. That’s about all I can write.

My only disappointment was the area where the family could view the body before cremation. It looked shabby; chairs appeared to be dirty. Rather depressing for loved ones, as this will be (in our case) their only opportunity to say goodbye before cremation. We are having no services.

Hard sell tactics are used to set up appointments from someplace that sounds like a "boiler room", but the consumer (me!) Isn't given the name of who will be coming. No email confirmation. No telephone number. After my first appointment rep was a no show, Neptune Boiler Room supervisor promised me a $200 discount as compensation for my inconvenience.. Only to find out later that it was a discount available to anyone choosing a particular plan. I took another plan, so no discount. The whole process is unsavory.

This has been the worst experience. My point of contact was Marlys **. Because of a home printer issue I made a two hour round trip to sign and scan the numerous documents she sent me. That was on September 13th. Today is September 21st. I contacted the local funeral home and they said they were still waiting on the documents from Marlys. I sent them myself today to the local funeral home.
My family is trying to close out a sad event in our lives. My mother chose this place. I’m sorry that she paid too much for such horrible service. Neptune Society is apparently set up to take money and deliver no service to the survivors of dead family members. My wife and I will not make the same mistake. And by the way, I had to contact the local funeral home because Neptune Society apparently doesn’t work weekends. Never heard of a funeral home that didn’t work weekends until I was forced to work with this one. Neptune is a dud. Raking in money for doing nothing.

Shane, we wish to express our heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your father. Neptune Society always works to provide the highest quality of service, and we deeply apologize for any dissatisfaction you experienced with paperwork issues and delays. We are very sorry that this happened. We take the full blame for any delays and/or bumps that happened during the service, but please keep in mind that when using a third party funding company (AFF), they are now involved in the process and they had their own requests, requirements, and verifications in order for the funding to happen so we can move ahead with the cremation and the AFF works one problem at a time communication. This creates for our original service to be elongated since we are not requesting for certain documents that you provided to the AFF and this was clearly explained to the Next of Kin by Marlys. It is also our understanding that the cremation happened during the 15 business day time frame which is what we promise and it is under contract in spite of all the added AFF requests. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and for not meeting your expectations. There is so much to say about this company that I don’t want to even mention its name. For clarity I will mention “the company” only once here, Neptune Society in Palm Harbor, Fl. My first experience started in 2015 when my father passed under Hospice care in the VA. Making arrangements for his service and internment was difficult but “the company” was of no help in trying to get the doctor to sign the death certificate. I had to make all the calls and even contacted several congressmen to help with the issue. I first chalked it up to the VA but after my second experience, I am rethinking my opinion.
My second experience was in late August 2019. My mom passed in a hospital after surgery. Early September I met with the service manager with “the company”; my parents had pre arrangements with them. I was provided with the process would be followed and was told my mom would be cremated and the ashes returned with plenty of time for the internment three weeks from the meeting. I reiterated we had family coming in from out of town and wanted to make sure all would go as planned.
Not hearing from “the company” after three days, I called to make an inquiry as to the status of the death certificate. I was told the doctor had yet to sign the death certificate. I called the hospital to find out the delay as she was gone for a week by this time. I was told “the company” had all the paperwork necessary and it was their responsibility to get the proper forms to the doctor. That afternoon I called “the company” back and they told me the doctor had already signed and they had forwarded the information to the Bureau of Vital Statistics.
Four days later I called “the company” to check on the status of my mother. The service manager said “he believed” the doctor signed the certificate today. The manager said he would check and get back with me. About two hours later the manager called me back to say the doctor failed to include the surgery date and “the company” sent the doctor another certificate to sign. (This is after I was told the certificate was already sent to the bureau of vital statistics.)
The following day the service manager called me back and said the doctor still had not signed. I was asked to call the doctor’s office to see if a family member could expedite the process. I called the doctor’s office and explained in detail (not included in this review) the steps taken thus far. The receptionist said the doctor had signed the updated certificate and it was on his desk. The next day I received a call from the doctor’s office indicating to me they still had the new certificate to sign because “the company” sent the wrong one to them. They said the doctor was on vacation until the following week and I had to just accept it because no one else could sign the certificate.
I called “the company” and spoke with the service manager and told him what the doctor’s office told me. He said that “the company” had already sent the certificate off to the Medical Examiner’s office. He also told me he did not know why the doctor’s office would tell me the doctor had not signed the certificate. By mid-morning I received a call from the doctor’s office manager. She told me basically the same thing the receptionist told me. She added that the new certificate was received by the office on this date about 20 minutes before I spoke with the service manager at “the company”. I told her what I learned from “the company” today. The office manager told me she would call “the company” and get back with me. Within a few minutes she called me back and said “the company” was going to use the original certificate with the wrong bar code and they failed in notifying the doctor’s office.
I waited Thursday, Friday and Monday to hear from “the company” but got no call. Tuesday at 1010 I called “the company” but the secretary would not answer my questions; she said the manager would call me. I did receive a call at 1030 from the manager who told me my mother had been cremated Monday (yesterday), but he could not get her there on time to pick up. He said she would be delivered this afternoon and I could get her then. I asked for a call to ensure she was ready. About 1:15 PM the secretary called back and said my mom was ready.
About 2:44 PM I called “the company” to ensure my mom’s wedding band and engagement ring were with her. After checking the secretary said the rings were not with my mom. After further checking, she told me the rings were at the crematory and I would have to pick them up. So my mom was refrigerated for 19 days until she got cremated. There was nothing done on the part of “the company” to move the process along. I made several dozen phone calls trying to ensure my mom was treated with dignity. Please do your family a favor and go someplace else for final arrangements. This has been hell for my family.

I can not say enough good things about Neptune Society. When my husband, Jerauld, passed away in a care facility, a polite & respectful young man came in a timely manner to take him for cremation. Manuela ** was great & worked with me regarding any paperwork. I even received a Family Assistance Checklist which proved so helpful. My husband's ashes arrived quickly & respectfully. All service was excellent. I highly recommend them. They were such a blessing to my children & I at such a sad & distressful time.

My wife and I had received a mailer when Neptune first came to Wisconsin, and we both had a strong desire to go with cremation rather than anything else. A gentleman came out and talked to us, and we thought the program was good and reasonable, so we signed up. Having the preplan services makes things very painless. I had a real rough time with my wife's illness. And I was so glad I didn't have to deal with making funeral arrangements. Neptune took care of everything for me. I've already made some recommendations. I tell people exactly what happened and how they handled things when she passed. Most people are rather taken aback that it was so painless for me.

My dad had made the arrangements with Neptune Society in California. And after we brought my mom here, we just went to the Neptune Society here. Their rep was very nice and very helpful. What happened was the Neptune Society in California wasn't affiliated with the Neptune Society in Jacksonville. But they called them and worked out a deal, so they were able to take my mom and cremate her. It was taken care of completely.

My parents had prearranged policies through Neptune Society. My interactions with the Neptune team was wonderful and very easy. They took care of everything because I was in the process of moving from one state to another when it occurred. The cremation was taken care of, and I didn't have to worry about trying to get copies of death certificate because they had already arranged for that to be done. And when my mother's ashes were ready, all I had to do was go pick them up. And in fact, they were so wonderful that I'm gonna get prearrangement myself.

Neptune Society was really good. We’re military and several people had already used them. I then searched online and contacted them that way. Their rep came out to the house and we sat down. My husband was sick and so we did his and mine. So, they handled it all. My husband and I were able to take advantage of the pre-plan services. Having those services in place was a big relief, and it’ll be a relief to know that my kids won't have to go through a lot -- it's already done. Also, if I had any questions, I just called the office in Plano, and Carolyn, who was awesome, had the answers and they contacted the navy for me for the memorial. It was really good.

I had an excellent experience with Neptune Society. It was all very helpful. The guy I worked with named Brenton was wonderful. He was in Fort Myers and he was texting me back in July. The only thing is I haven't for sure received a bill for the death certificates I had done. At one time, I signed something. I knew there was money but I lost track of that and I never received a bill. It'll probably still come. They're probably being courteous about it.

We were living in Green Valley at the time and we got a card in the mail from Neptune Society. The rep came over one evening, sat down and explained the whole program to us. It was what we were looking for so we signed up right then. As I’m the survivor, the service was very easy and efficient. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. He was picked up from the hospital shortly after they declared him gone and they were very nice on the phone when I talked to them about everything. I went over there the next day with my grandson and I signed all the paperwork. They explained what would happen and approximately how long it would take for the death certificate. Once it left them, it went to the hospital for the doctor, then it went to the county clerk’s office.
When we first got the service, we received two big boxes in the mail. We knew that it involved an urn, but we had no idea these beautiful boxes were coming. Inside were three different things to put the ashes in, and I have two children, so one went to each of them, which was very nice. Having that to take with us made everything so much easier for me. He was a heart patient but it was very sudden when he died, so they made the whole process so nice. The reps from Neptune were very professional and took care of everything for me. It was wonderful. What Neptune made so much more pleasant in a bad situation, Social Security did just the opposite. So, it was nice to have somebody looking out for you. I have recommended Neptune. I am talking with the ladies at church and there must be at least a dozen who have the services already, too. I’ve told them it just took so much worry off my mind.

Neptune Society's price is affordable. They take care of literally everything, which they did when my husband passed six weeks ago. They did everything they said they were gonna do, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I could just handle my emotions. They were extremely nice and caring. I have recommended Neptune Society to a number of people, and I personally know of four people that bought pre-need contracts.

I was approached by Neptune Society after the unexpected/untimely death of my husband. Not wanting to leave a financial burden on my two minors, I signed up for a plan for $954, which Neptune "Financed" up to $3,604.89. Not a good price considering I cremated my mother and husband for less than $700. Now I am feeling swindled, and they made it clear that they will hold my remains, if not paid in full, until they receive all of their money. DON'T fall into the trap; funerals and final plans are heartfelt and thieves know just when to jump in and what to say. What they didn't/wouldn't listen to is that "I cannot afford these services." Be careful!

My father and my stepmother signed up to be cremated with Neptune Society. When it was time to use the service, I had a gal named Kristina help me and she was very professional. She answered all of my questions and was so easy to deal with. Impact-wise, it was the best thing. I knew exactly what to expect. They got my dad and they did what they needed to do. I made the appointment to go in and see him and it was great. It took all the emotion out of it - emotions that you spend too much money or the things that you have to decide on. It was all decided for me. I liked it so much that I signed myself up. I really appreciate them and I would tell anybody to sign up with them.

My dad had signed a contract with Neptune Society for when he passed away to be cremated through their society. They were totally 100% very respectful and they walked me through every step of what was gonna happen. Everything was spot-on. I wanted to do things right away and I didn't need any explanations. That's how they made me feel. I truly 100% trusted that they were going to do right by me and my husband. I plan to go there and sign a contract to have me cremated through Neptune Society.

I should have done my research and gone elsewhere, because there a lot of stories like mine on central coast Cali! It took 5 weeks to get my mom's ashes back. Once you pay all the fees, you never can get hold of them! When I received the death certificate, the rep, John **, said he still hadn't received a date for cremation (3 weeks after mom passed). So ANOTHER 2 weeks pass, he hasn't answered any emails etc, he calls me "We have your mother's remains, sorry was out of office for 2 weeks". Seriously???? Most businesses a rep leaves, someone else takes care of your clients!!! I never was informed WHEN. Received a week after the fact because he was on vacation??? Avoid Neptune!!
We would have liked to have a memorial for my mom. Her sisters stayed for 2 weeks after she passed waiting for her remains. So now if I want to have one, I'll pay another small fortune to fly them back out. I understand they are a business. But there is ZERO empathy or caring from this office. You don't leave a client's family hanging in limbo like that. Avoid them. They prey on our elderly family members who buy these packages trying to ease the burden on us and Neptune turns it into a nightmare.

My father went to some free luncheon where he bought his cremation package with Neptune Society. When he passed away, our interaction with the company started where a couple came to retrieve his body. They were fabulous and they became like family. I wasn’t ready to let my dad go because my son wasn’t there yet, so they hung out and they talked for a long time. We laughed and we cried together. My son was gonna be much later than he thought so they left and came back. When they came back, I was so glad it was the same guys again because I felt so comfortable releasing my father’s remains to them. It was so consoling to have them there.
It was a great experience. Later, I had to go to the office to sign the death certificate papers and again they were so cordial, comfortable, and kind. It was all very positive. But there was some confusion about when the remains were going to arrive. They told me when that would happen but they didn’t arrive when they said they would. They were backed up. Because they don’t do the cremation there, I went to the office to pick up the remains, and their rep wasn’t there so they mailed him to the house. The person who helped us was wonderful. It was very consoling to be with warm people.

I was exceptionally pleased with Julie's service. We purchased our policy in 2004 and had added travel protection since we traveled abroad at that time. We never used that aspect, but it was so appreciated to have all the cremation activities and notifications handled very professionally. Whenever quick delivery was needed, Julie provided overnight service. We ended up with no extra costs since we used our local place of worship and the VA for burial. Representatives from the cremation facility arrived for the body within two hours of death. My husband died at home using Hospice services. Thank you Julie and your staff. We only wish there could have been an office in St Louis.

I received in the mail a letter from this company, and the envelope had stamped on it "Community Survey." There was no other marking on the envelope to indicate the name of the sender. When I opened it, there was a list of questions, but to say it was a "Community Survey" is a lie. It was from the Neptune Society of Nashville about cremation. The envelope was clearly designed to get elderly citizens to open it, and its contents consisted of a series of intrusive questions from asking how much was my income, how old was I, and so on.
Angered at the lying, cheap advertising tactic, I phoned the Nashville office of The Neptune Society to demand that my name be taken off their mailing list. A woman answered the phone and asked who I wanted to talk with. I told her I had a complaint about their advertising tricks and wanted off their list. She then told me that to get off their list I would need to go to their website and request it. I said to her, "What? I have to go to your website in order to be removed from a list I do not want to part of?" She said, "I do not have to tolerate this from you."
Now, for those who want to go with this company, good luck to you. My thinking is that if such a company sends out misleading mailings to suck people into reading their ads, then that makes them untrustworthy. For them to then require of anyone to go to a website and jump through hoops to get off their mailing list is disgusting. I would not trust them to cremate a pet, let alone a loved-one or myself. For all I know, they could send a loved-one's remains down an industrial grade garbage disposal and "say" they had performed the cremation. The Neptune Society should be ashamed of targeting the elderly with the aim of duping them into signing up with them. They should also be ashamed of hiring women like the one I spoke with, who lacks any sense of class in helping an unhappy customer. Had she complied and removed my name, I would probably have not posted this review.

A few months ago my husband & I attended a seminar sponsored by the Neptune Society (Tuscon AZ). We chose to attend to receive information about what the Neptune had to offer. At the end of the seminar the Rep Teresa ** asked if she could come to our home to discuss things further. We politely told her that, through no fault of her own, after getting the info, we didn't feel Neptune was a good fit for us. Teresa did not want to accept this & made it difficult for us to leave. Since then, she continually calls & has been told by both my husband & myself that we are not interested & to take our name of her call list.
On Wednesday June 5th I received a phone call from a gentleman from the neptune society. I told him I was not interested & hung up the phone. Within 2 minutes the phone rang again, this time my husband answered the phone. He had the phone on speaker & we could hear Teresa in the background, prompting the gentleman on what to say. My husband told them we had no interest, he was told that Teresa would be at our home at 10 AM Friday 6/7/2019. My husband said "no" & hung up.
At 10 AM Teresa had the audacity to show up at my home. We did not answer the door. Teresa then proceeded to call. When, I answered, she said she was outside the door for our scheduled appt. I informed her we had declined her request for an appt. I also told her to remove us from her list. She sighed, as if exasperated & asked if she could come in to speak to us anyway. The answer is "No"! We simply want Neptune Society to leave us alone! Coming to someone's home uninvited is harassment. If this continues we will press charges against the Neptune Society & Teresa **.

In the mid 1970s I purchased what was supposed to be a simple cremation for $150.00. I received a blue Neptune Society membership card stating the same. Fast forward 43 years and they tell me they lost the records. I don't have any plan and the 150 was just for a wallet card to carry around until I die. This is a ripoff of the highest degree. And I guess they will just pocket my money.

Firstly, we would like to apologize for poor help and customer service that you received from our behalf when you reached out to us before this review. Neptune took care of my husband. We joined them when they first started up about 10 years ago. We went by their price and we wanted cremation. We didn’t want my husband to be buried in a casket. My son, Brad, did everything for me and we’ve been very happy. Everything Neptune said they would do, they did. They followed through what the two salesmen said when they came out to the house. There were no hitches. I’m gonna be buried by Neptune, too.

Elaine ** is one of the most Insensitive and unprofessional people I have ever encountered. My mother purchased a preneed policy from Neptune Society when she lived in San Francisco some years back. Just prior to her passing a few weeks ago I contacted the Stockton office since she had relocated to Stockton where I live. When I called initially I was put on hold for over eight minutes and when I brought the hold time to Elaine's attention she rudely denied it had been that long and offered no apology. The website says the Stockton office offered funeral services and she informed me that they did not, so I contacted the customer service with the main office and was told that the policy was transferable.
My mother paid for direct cremation and our family wanted a funeral, so I used a local funeral home. I was horrified to find out that Elaine called the mortuary two hours prior to my mother's funeral service and told them that they would not be paid for their services. When I called customer service once again to find out what was going on, I was told by a very nice representative that they were in fact going to pay the funeral home, and that the policy we had was not an irrevocable trust and could indeed be transferred to an outside mortuary. The representative was nice enough to also send an email to the mortuary verifying our conversation. So we made it through my mother's funeral service.
To my surprise, The next day I received another call from the mortuary informing me that they had received another call From Elaine after receiving the email and she told him again that they would not be paid. When I followed up and called Elaine she told me that Neptune does not pay third parties and the other mortuary would not be paid. Needless to say the fiasco two hours prior to my mother's funeral service, which was caused by Elaine, and the calls the day prior were very upsetting to me. When I called customer service at the corporate office again they graciously conference called with me and the local mortuary, assuring us that the check would be cut as soon as my mother's death certificate was received.
They also said that they would be contacting Elaine right away and she never should have called anyone. Needless to say I would never do business with the Stockton office or refer anyone To them for any type of service at all. Elaine **'s lack of professionalism and insensitivity in our time of grief was very offensive. I am however grateful for the compassionate, thorough and thoughtful service I received from the corporate office as they sorted through the mess made by Elaine ** and the Stockton office

Neptune Society came to my aid very quickly and professionally, and helped me over a bad time. That was my son, my only child, and my brother who worked for a mortuary down in Tustin, California told me to call Neptune Society because they were really good. And Neptune has done very well. I just called them and they took care of everything. I didn't worry about anything. I'm very satisfied. They were also extremely professional and they treated me well. It was like they knew me and my family. They really cared about me. There was extremely heartfelt emotion and genuine care. They are good people and I would highly recommend them.

I got my cremation plan with Neptune in 2018. Jessica was wonderful in explaining how everything works, the price, and payment plan was affordable, and I felt relieved to have gotten this taken care of since I am single and middle-aged. I didn't want my kids or Granddaughter to have to deal with arrangements or expenses. I highly recommend them.

My whole family for five generations has used Neptune Society. And all of us take advantage of the pre-planning services. I worked with Carlos most recently for my dad’s death in March, and he was awesome. He helped me facilitate everything so I could have a funeral within two weeks of my father’s passing to accommodate my family flying in from Atlanta. It was very well-handled, it was quick, and then he helped me coordinate with the actual cemetery, which they don’t normally do. The cemetery was kinda slow. So, he picked up that slack for me as well and made sure I had the correct permits.

My husband and I prepaid cremation plans with the Neptune Society 20 years ago. So far things have been very easy with them since my husband died in late April 2019. Our son, who is here from New Zealand only for a week, went with me to the facility a few days ago to sign papers and make arrangements, and our meeting with Jimmy went well. He was friendly, efficient and professional. My only concern is needing to drive back there in another week or two to pick up my husband's remains and death certificates, but that is a problem with government bureaucracy and not with the Neptune Society.

Los Angeles, CA. It took 18 days for them to cremate my mom. They never returned phone calls. I had to call every other day to get updates poor customer service. My parent pre bought this service 10 years ago. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I have posted my on many sites to my friends my dissatisfaction on the Neptune Society.

My aunt told me about Neptune Society. She had set up the services with them many years ago before she passed away. It was excellent dealing with the Neptune team, especially Patrick down in LA who was great. He was efficient, caring and very professional. My father-in-law had already made the arrangements with Neptune Society way before he died. The whole experience with them was positive. There was one man in Miami who was our connection with Neptune. He lived in Bay Harbor and he was fabulous. But the thing that we didn't know was that the process was not quite as simple as it was advertised. Although they made it sound like one call was needed and everything had been taken care of, it really wasn't one call but a whole bunch of calls. Then, gradually, things got taken care of. Nonetheless, the best part about the pre-planned services was that these were already planned. My father-in-law had already done the planning. The arrangements had already been done and taken care of, so we didn't have to make them at that time.

My parents had prepaid arrangements with Neptune Society. My father died in 2015 and my mother in 2016, both in the Los Angeles area. We made one call to the Neptune Society 800 number and they were there to pick up the bodies within two hours. It was extremely easy. We then completed the paperwork for cremation and purchased death certificates through the Neptune Society. I highly recommend the Neptune Society.

My husband was 26 and 1/2 years older than me and I had buried a lot of people. He thought that I had done enough staring that he went and got his cremation paid for and done through the Neptune Society. We paid Neptune off but they tried to charge a $500 interest. I had to tell my husband that he gotta go back there. So, we got our $500 penalty that they tried to give us for nothing. I don’t think my husband knew that there was another cremation service but it worked out well. We have been free of the burden from when he passed away. His son came and asked me about Neptune. He was thinking about doing something like that because he has a daughter. I recommend Neptune Society. I don’t know another and don’t care to because Neptune did a wonderful job.
Neptune was nicer than a funeral home experience that I had where the way that the funeral director acted made me want to buy a funeral home just so I could not treat people like that. However, I found out that you gotta go to a school and do all these things in order to do that. The people at Neptune were very nice. They had a section where I could buy something if I wanted to but they weren’t pushy about it at all. They were more concerned about my needs and they were very good. They were very helpful in this difficult time. I’ve heard some horror stories so I’m trying to get people better information. People are asking about Neptune and I might go over there and get some cards from that guy and pass them out. Anything that could help you through a situation like that is a plus.

My deceased partner passed away at home. The police department warned me that it may take 20 hours for the coroner to pick her up. He also advised me to go look at the will if she had one. When I did that, I found the Neptune Society folder that she had pre-planned, and they were here within an hour and a half, muchly relieving the situation of having a dead one on the floor. So magnificent.
A man and a woman came and both were terribly sensitive. When the woman I love is laying dead on the floor, I noticed the people who picked her up were respectful, kind and considerate. I spoke to Jennifer, and I went down to the office a couple of times. She delivered me the ashes also. I give her the highest possible grade for human relations. I don't know how she can do that job everyday. She helped me through all the details. I even made a couple of additional purchases, a little vase and a picture frame to put ashes in, and they were delivered intact and on time and that was wonderful. She also helped me arrange to get the temporary death certificates to begin closing the estate down. But we have seen no final death certificate with the cause of death on it. That's not her, that's the coroner. But she gave me one wonderful piece of advice.
She said a lot of times, people in my situation have swiss cheese for brains, and it could not have described me better. My thinking is working, but I have holes in my rationales. And that really helped me two days later get a handle on everything and why I was so messed up over it. So, I applaud her more than the pick-up people. The situation went smoothly even more than I could have anticipated if I had known there was arrangements. But once I found the arrangements, it was a dream come true. In fact, they have called me and asked me to speak to a potential customer, and I have related the same thing I'm telling now. I'm a veteran myself, so all of that is taken care of. But if I wasn't, I'd be buying something from Neptune Society tomorrow. I heartily endorse the product and the people, and kudos to Jennifer. Thank you to Neptune Society.

My mom died 52 days ago. Initially, I was relieved when I found out she had pre-arranged her cremation. But everything after the mortuary picking her up has been a nightmare. Did the required paperwork, no biggie. I had to ask multiple time for them to send me an invoice for the charges I was responsible for (permit/extra death certificates). I provided my credit card information for the charges on 2/28/19. To this day I have not received the copies of the death certificates (my card was JUST charged on 3/28). Supposedly, the "order was placed" with the Vital Records but I have called the past two days in a row and they have nothing.
If you are unable to provide a service...don't offer it. I would have preferred to keep my money and go buy them myself, but when I first talked to them it seemed like I would be saving a step, BOY WAS I WRONG!!! I had to go buy one so that I could file the will with the court in the required 30 day time frame. Also, after getting FRUSTRATED yesterday, I finally got a call TODAY (52 days later) that my mom's remains are ready to get picked up. I guess I should have gotten mad a lot sooner. Apparently, their "systems have been" and their phone systems have been down. What a fail in service. The rep has been apologetic with the circumstances (calling from his cell because their phones don't work), but that doesn't help with the added stress during an already SUPER stressful time.

Shannon was a beacon of light during some of the darkest days of my life after losing my mom unexpectedly. She was very warm and kind, responded promptly to emails and calls, was professional, and really helped us honor my mom and her life. I was out of town when my mom died and even though she wasn’t embalmed due to being cremated, they made my mom look natural and beautiful - exactly like herself - so I could say good-bye. This wasn’t part of the original plan so it was extra special that they were able to do this so I could see her one last time. Shannon was very organized and did a great job walking us through many tasks both in preparation of the memorial as well as tasks that needed attention afterwards. The memorial keepsakes are lovely, too. I am grateful our family had such a positive, easy experience during such a tragic time.

Kansas City, MO. I have received the worst customer service from Neptune multiple times. The first time was the day after my father passed away, a sales rep called me and discussed cremation options. I discussed with her that we had picked a funeral home and burial service already and when I told her who it was she proceeded to tell me I was making a bad decision and that I should do my research before I found one. She was very rude and blunt and disrespectful to me when I was mourning my father.
The next experience I had was with a call center rep who just called me a month after the death of my father and wanted my business. I said, "No thank you. We had the funeral weeks ago". She then yelled and said then don't submit a interest card (I sent that in A MONTH AGO). The 3rd situation was with a receptionist who just took my call and gave me a 1-888-624-3310 to call if I had a complaint, I asked for a supervisor a manager and all she said was she doesn't have anyone that I can talk to. TERRIBLE COMPANY WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS, ALL IT IS ABOUT IS MONEY!!!!

Neptune Society seems to be an established long-term service and I've had nothing but prompt decision to courteous service. We've been members over the last 20 years and I'm more than satisfied with them. I have it set up for my 93-year-old mother and I also recommended it for my aunt who passed in January. My husband and I prepaid our cremation over 10 yrs ago. Brilliant move. Hubby died feb in ucla hospital. I walked out of his hospital room. Neptune Society stepped in and took it from there. I did a research, and Neptune Society had good reviews. I also had a coworker who also had Neptune. And she said that she also had heard good reviews. So, that was good enough for me and I reached out to them. They have a professional staff, and they also have people there that are bilingual. So, even if there are people speaking Spanish, they have someone there who can also translate and assist in anything that they need. The team at Neptune was super. They were very sympathetic, very considerate and the best you can expect in untimely and unfortunate situations. I highly recommend them.

I got a very good referral for Neptune Society and I had very good feedback from other customers. I had a friend, a neighbor, and another person who also experienced the care of Neptune. First, I inquired about them two years ago in Fort Myers and I had a great experience learning from them and talking with two different people. Then when I realized that my husband was gonna die in New Jersey, I called them to ask them what they could do if I were going to bring his body to a funeral home and also who to contact in New Jersey to look at services from the New Jersey end. The guy was right on it and got everything sorted out for me.
In the end, the Neptune guy was the best person I know that I dealt with and I had a wonderful experience. I felt like what I chose was exactly what I wanted and that he was so accommodating to me. He actually lived in a town next to me. Normally I could be expected to go to their office to do some things or sign certain things but he was willing to come to me because he lived so close. And we just did that after hours. So, I couldn't have asked for anything more. I've also already recommended him to other people in New Jersey.

My fiancé and I received an invitation to attend a Neptune Society lunch Seminar about a year ago and since he (fiancé) had expressed a desire to be cremated; I made reservations for us to attend. I wasn’t on board with cremation, but we wanted to gather enough information on both sides in order to make a knowledgeable decision for our final arrangements. It is now a year since we attended the lunch seminar held at Jaxx Steakhouse and the husband and wife that put the seminar on will not stop calling us!!! Some weeks it is two or three times a day!
I wrote a review on Yelp about Neptune Society to get the calls to stop and received a response from customer service apologizing saying we would be taken off the list and now several weeks later we have begun receiving calls again (we had two today). In my mind this is bordering on harassment and I am considering filing charges if the calls don’t stop immediately. Enough is enough!!! At this point I will never purchase one of your cremation packages and neither will my fiancé even if you are giving them away!!! I cannot believe Neptune Society is so hard up for money that you would feel harassing a potential client into purchasing a cremation package is ok. Then again maybe you do since I remember how concerned you acted at the seminar that someone would order something without paying the extra money.

Neptune Society has a great program. The rep from the Charlotte office contacts me and he is fantastic, super friendly and helpful. He told me where to go to pick up my mom's ashes but he sent me the death certificates in the mail. Everything else was done by phone. It was a great all-around experience. I've never been through a funeral so I don't know what to do. It's nice that all that is set up so I don't have to worry about that part of it.

The Neptune Society team was extremely kind. I called them and they said that I needed to come in and fill out paperwork. I told them that I was my mom's sole caretaker, and I only had a few time spots during the week where I could go off and leave her. So they actually came out to my house and they were very personable. They made me feel very at ease. Most funeral directors are kind of somber and hard to talk to, but everybody at Neptune was just as nice as can be.
I made the arrangements a couple of months before my mom passed. The process was very easy, and they explained everything, and it worked out just like they said. The box that the ashes go in came to the house. When the hospice people screwed up the time of death, Cory from Neptune dealt with that and he got it straightened out. I still have my father's ashes at home and he told me that being my father was a veteran, I could bury him at the national cemetery here for free. So, we're having a service in March, and I'm putting their ashes together in one plot. Anytime somebody asks me what they should, I would tell them to use Neptune.

My dad and mom got a flyer from Neptune Society many years ago and we chose them because of the overall cost and what the plan consisted of. We can pre-pay it and we don't have to worry about it. Also, the reps were great. Unfortunately, we had to use the plan for my dad several years ago and it was a difficult experience that they helped make easier and smoother for us.

We lived from Ohio. We were snow bears come down, had a condo in Boca Raton. I figured if something happened to me, I have cemetery plots in Ohio. I have two children buried up there so I wanted to go back. That's where I was born and raised. I ran across Neptune's ad, had a salesperson come out to the house and she talked to me and my wife. She gave me all the options, and I signed up to have the body taken back, at that time, if something happened to me and that was why I took care of transportation.
Having pre-planned services took the pressure off. My wife ended up getting Alzheimer's and so everything was taken care of and we didn’t have to worry about. I didn’t have to leave anything to my kids. We're gonna go back in the spring and take my wife's ashes home. Their team was first class and I was very pleased. I'm gonna be taken care of by Neptune, and when I signed up with them, it was a very good experience under the circumstances. I would recommend them to anybody.

I travel and I liked Neptune's worldwide pickup anywhere, where I'm gonna kickoff at to. Their team was excellent and Jessica was an angel. She knew everything, presented herself very well, she was very convincing and it worked out well, plus she's Canadian. I took advantage of the $500 down and $50 a month. I could pay it off now, but I just wanted to see if I could still get the $200 thing if I paid it in cash, like my buddy did. We went on the two-for-plan, and he paid it all off at once and his was $200 less. Somebody told me if I did it within 30 days, then I could probably do the same thing. I called them and asked about that.

The local manager explained how the process was gonna work and then he went above and beyond and got us additional death certificates for when we needed them. My mom paid for her cremation through Neptune Society. When she passed away, I called Neptune within hours and they were very comforting. They were awesome every step along the way, understanding the process and the paperwork. After I picked up my mom's ashes, which was traumatic enough, I went back and asked them to separate some of the ashes into a separate urn 'cause I didn’t want to do it myself and they said no problem. What was great about the pre-planned service was that I didn’t have to think about it. There were no questions, it was literally like the simplest thing ever. I'm very grateful as well.

My father purchased a policy from Neptune Society and the guy who sold him the policy in Florida was a nightmare. When I worked with him, he wouldn't give me simple information like whether or not my father's policy was paid off and how it would work. I was five minutes away from calling the Attorney-General 'cause I felt like it was some kind of scam because he doesn’t answer simple questions.
Still, once we got to the lady in Louisville, Sarah, our experience was good. At the time, I was running late because I live in Cleveland and the funeral was in Kentucky, so I had to drive down and she stayed later at her office on Friday for me to get down there to sign the papers. She followed up and explained everything really well. Everything she said she was gonna do got done. The ashes were there for me once she said they'd be there.

My experience with Neptune Society was wonderful from start to finish. I first talked to Joe over the phone and made arrangements to meet with him at their office in Louisville. Joe was very personable, knowledgeable, and compassionate. After my Aunt passed away I got a call from Sara the funeral director and she also was very compassionate expressing her condolences. As time passed and I had more dealings with her I knew that she was also very personable and knowledgeable. What impressed me most though is both how genuine they both were. Hello. We used the Neptune Society for the cremation of my father, Myron **. He died on December 10. Pick up of his body was prompt, and we are grateful. However, from that point, service went downhill. It was very difficult to reach the assigned agent, Carolyn **, who often did not return calls and who did not send a contract by the promised date of December 14. We returned this and paid the following week. It is now 28 January, and we still have not received my father's remains.

The very worst experience. It has taken almost a month now to cremate my father. Starting from paperwork they filled out incorrectly to wrong spelling of names. Then the employee supposedly fired. Many phone calls from my mother later new paperwork was sent and overnighted back. Only to find out 3 weeks later he had still not been cremated. I called today waited 3 hours for the manager Mike to return my call to sign and argue with me about how he fixed the paperwork but had no idea he had 1 bad apple as a employee. They still have not order death certificates that were paid for. DO NOT use this service. It's not worth the hassle of how they handle your love one's remains.

I had an excellent experience with Neptune Society. The reps whom I worked with were absolutely wonderful. They were very professional and pleasant. Every detail was covered. Also, I liked their price and the fact that I could be anywhere and they're gonna take care of me. I highly recommend them.

My first experience with Neptune was about five years ago when my mother died. I would have given them five stars then. This past time my husband died on November 6th, and based on my past experience, I looked toward Neptune again. The ashes were not ready for me to pick them up until over two months later. Some of the issues were not Neptune’s fault, but I am very dissatisfied with their lack of communication regarding the delays. Each and every time I had to initiate a call to them to ask what was going on. When I called the first week in January I was told my husband had been cremated on 12/19-but no let me know, despite my mounting anxiety, and many phone calls to them concerning the delays.

It has been almost 4 weeks since my mom's (Donna **) passing. She still has not been cremated, no death certificates, no urn etc... Very disappointing this time. We have had 3 family members use your service in the past 3 years. It was never this bad. My mom passed Dec 29th. I have received nothing yet. I don't even know if I have been charged.

Cremation is the most natural, economical, and responsible way to deal with end of life. The staff at Neptune Society explained all of the issues involved in the process and provided a very reasonable payment plan.

After purchasing my plan and letting the cancellation deadline lapse, I read the reviews about how your "Dual Contract" scheme works. Mea Culpa and Caveat Emptor. My fault entirely. I was also assuming,(my fault again!) that the memorial chest would be provided at the time of need. Instead, I have taken delivery of this hideous box that I'll probably donate or pitch; my wish is for my ashes to be scattered. My son is aware of all of this and will hold you to the contract for the actual transport of my remains and subsequent cremation. Good salesmanship, customer gullibility. Hope you're proud of this business model.

I would like to commend Sara ** at Neptune Society Louisville for helping me on the worst day of my life. I had not made arrangements when my husband died on 12/17/18. I knew he wanted to be cremated. I called the 2 cremation companies in Louisville and decided on Neptune based on Sara's kindness on the phone. Neptune picked up his body from the nursing home that day. The next day I went to Neptune and met with Sara to make further decisions and payment. I then went one more time when my husband's ashes and death certificates were ready to be picked up. She was very professional, but at the same time, very compassionate. I highly recommend Neptune and Sara.

This was the first time I've had to deal with a death in the family. I've never had to make arrangements before let alone for my mother who was way too young but God needed her more than I do. Christopher the man first I've spoke to the whole time has been absolutely amazing... extremely caring and gentle to my needs and my family's needs thankfully for them has been a very easy process so we could all morn and start to heal. I appreciate them more than they will ever know.

Alvin is a great person, great human being. He definitely shows compassion. He did my sister and he did my dad it still hurts... He’s door-to-door beautiful service and yes I would recommend quite a few people to the company.

Neptune Society offers such a comprehensive and efficient service for veterans and their spouses. And with my father having been a World War II vet, it seemed like a good and sound choice for them for their final arrangements. We met with a lady whose name is Sara from their office in Louisville, Kentucky, and she was very compassionate and thorough in all of our business dealings. Our family liked the efficiency of being able to sail right through, and for the most part, the various details that we had to go through when my mom passed. I would recommend Neptune Society highly to anyone who is eligible for such services.

Our dear cousin died in the early morning of December 22, 2018. On December 26, we had completed the paperwork as requested after correcting the many errors on the first one we had received which included a wrong birth date in several of the pages. January 4, 2018 we got back to Tucson and discovered our cousin had not yet been cremated and no death certificates were yet available. We can’t finalize any estate issues until we have death certificates and are devastated that nothing has happen since we left Tucson in December. We live 1400 miles away and expected everything would be ready for us. We will never recommend Neptune to anyone after the very poor service we have received!!!

Neptune Society was quick to respond. I called them one day just to find out where they were located, and then I had to make an emergency phone call the next day saying that I needed their services because my husband passed away that day. They told me to come right up and that they would take care of me. So, I did. They explained everything to me, they were more than considerate, and it was just wonderful experience.
We did check on a few of other companies before we made the decision to go to Neptune Society, and I didn’t like the feeling when I walked in. But with Neptune Society, as soon as my son and I walked in the door, we made the right decision. When we met with Jason, the manager at Neptune, and told him what we wanted, there was no pushing about trying to get us to add things to what we were looking for. We got the death certificate complimentary and they also included a beautiful red mahogany box. I would highly recommend them.
