    I’ve been a customer of Uber Eats for awhile now. The beginning was great, pandemic times. They had their A game. Now- Zero stars if I could leave that. They give me a weekly code of 5 orders worth $40 spent for 40% off. That is a weekly basis promo. I barely order due to their customer service. I don’t use up all those 40% on a weekly basis. My August & September order is totalling to 1 each month and 2 in October. Uber is our last resort if Door Dash isn’t available. I feel like Door dash is well managed than Uber. Anyways, I called today and was told that there was a breach, and I asked how was it breached? He said that the promo code was uber used or over used, then why send it to customers then? It’s on the fine print, sure! But why bother send it out if you will take it back? Uber eats doesn’t know how to look after their customers. Use Skip or Door Dash because Uber customer service will just annoy you!

    For the better part of a year "Uber Eats" has been trying to earn my business. I tried using them for the first time, cancelled my order within 5 minutes, was charged fully, and they will not remove the charge. Worst possible 1st impression. I'll be a GrubHub guy for life.

    I have used Uber Eats one time and the shopper was excellent, unfortunately there were numerous issues with the payments. I was overcharged, then when trying to get assistance with the numerous overpayments on my credit card I spoke with a couple of extremely rude customer service representatives (CSR). The worst was named Josue, (who was very, very rude and hung up on me) after refusing to get me to a supervisor, I called back and got a very kind rep. who got me to a supervisor named Kenneth who was great. He escalated my issue to refund the amt. due me. I saw the credit immediately.

    I looked at my accts 10 days later and they had recharged the credit given me, PLUS, they charged the full amt. of my Uber Eats charge to another credit card I had on file from a previous Uber trip I had taken. I called back and the CSRs were great, but when a supervisor by the name of Gabriella called me back, she refused to actually help and told me she saw no previous escalation on my acct. so she/I could do nothing but wait for an answer from the escalation dept. to reply. She couldn’t even give me a time period for the response. She then hung up on me. I am appalled at the way I was treated by their so called Customer Service department and shocked at how big of a mess this should have been simple transaction became. I’m sure since I was treated this way, there have been many others that have been treated the same.

    Complete and utter cluster. As an individual and as a family, we do meal delivery services on the regular. In fact, I work as a physician at a nearby hospital, small community, no more than 4,000 in the community and all restaurants within 5 minute of small community hospital. Never, not one single time, have we had any issue with either DoorDash or Grubhub or even delivery from independent local establishments.

    Working as a physician, along with all the night staff, I have crazy 12-hour shifts, typically 7p-7a. That means, upon arrival, myself and my nurses need to sort out meal plans early or the clock will beat us and we will run out of options. Thought I would give Uber Eats a try, for the sake of completeness and to give everyone a trial comparison.

    Big, big, HUGE mistake. Where to even begin. Place an order for the local Steak 'n Shake and execute the tracker so I can follow progress. It is about 8:15 pm at the time. Up comes the tracker and after only a very brief time shows my driver is at the restaurant picking up the order. This status remains unchanged for the better part of 30 minutes. Finally, as we push 45-60 minutes, the tracker reads "Oops, finding another driver". This is after 45-60 minutes and now we don't even have a driver?!

    After about 30 minutes of "Oops" persisting, the net result of this is very obvious, Uber doesn't have a driver available in this area, we are at one hour, clearly not going to make it before the "absolute latest" time, and my options are dwindling. Total time greater than one hour, "Oops no driver" time greater than 30 minutes. It was abundantly clear that the food was not going to be delivered in time, let alone probably not at all.

    I contact agents via the Uber Eats online chat and try to relate this and the urgency in resolving the issue so I can move on and still look at dining options for the night. All I got was a bunch of canned "we're sorry for the inconvenience" and reading from prepared scripts. I was still about 15 minutes out from the drop-dead time, but it was completely clear where we were headed for this and, if we get this resolved now, I can place another order with another delivery service, my only chance for eating anything other than a Crustable from the vending machine.

    Still...canned responses, scripts, etc. The suggestion was that "the food is technically not late until 9:15 pm and it is already prepared, so we cannot refund unless it is after 9:15". The thing is, it only would take about two minutes to realize that no delivery in > 1 hour and persistent "Oops, finding another driver" means that it just isn't going to happen, quite clearly at this point, so do me a favor and consider and a half to be late enough to give me time to still find something.

    Even the suggestion that a burger, fries, and shake made over an hour earlier would still be edible is pretty absurd. It is quite clear, Uber didn't have a driver anywhere near this small town and left me hanging for about an hour and a half while I was the only one apparently smart enough to figure that. When 9:15 did roll around, the status still read "Oops, finding another driver". No meal tonight, on the damned computer much of the first two hours of work, and the complete failure of customer service to make any effort to actually understand the problem and address the problem. Took me exactly two times to realize that Uber Eats either lacks the footprint or business plan to successfully practice this model. Among the most abysmal customer service experiences I have encountered for some time.

    I ordered from a restaurant partnered with Uber Eats. I was not aware of this partnership before ordering. An estimated time to deliver on a Sunday afternoon was 1 hour. After about an hour and a half, a text comes in stating that the "food was delivered". It never showed up. Nobody came to ours or our neighbor's door either. Now instead of enjoying a meal from a decent restaurant, I have to spend hours getting my money back, the business is going to lose sales from me going forward, but it will encourage me to continue rarely eating.

    Very bad experience! Was waiting for my food for 1.5 hrs only to know driver is having an issue with his car and that my order is canceled. The restaurant didn’t even call me to inform. It’s late and I cannot order from Elsewhere. Very sad.

    Order food noticed driver was not in my area I called him and guess what? He doesn’t speak English and just mumbles about how he can’t speak English!!!! I then called 866-987-3744 customer service. Speak with Jeb to be placed on hold to hear I would be charged if I canceled order! Welp do I want cold food Or charged for delivery service that never took place. McDonald’s needs to cancel their Partnership with these people or get English speaking drivers!! And with all that ** guess what happened? No food no refund!! I basically paid someone wages today.

    If at all possible, be very, very careful in using the Uber Eats app. Better yet, don't use the ubereats app at all and go to GrubHub or Doordash. My experience was so awful on my birthday and there is absolutely no place or no way to get a hold of customer service in order to correct something deceitful that Uber Eats does. I tried to order Red Lobster for my birthday. Once I had ordered it and I wasn't quite sure whether or not the order had gone through because there was no defining order button to push, suddenly an old order or some food that I had contemplated ordering from McDonald's popped up. I tried to delete that and it ended up ordering the McDonald's as well.

    For the next 30 minutes I tried to contact what ubereats said was their customer service, which was a complete and total joke and a catastrophe. I got absolutely nothing from them and strategically, they didn't even bother responding until after both Foods were delivered! I certainly hope that Uber Eats is happy with their extra $30 they got from me. I will never order from them again so they have probably lost hundreds of dollars Vision was deteriorating in the future. I will gladly pay a little extra if necessary do you use GrubHub for doordash, both of which I hope and expect will be much more customer friendly. Bottom line, do not order from Uber Eats. You may fall into the same trap that I did, all because of Uber Eats greed.

    In short, This will literally be my last time ordering from Uber Eats. Absolutely horrific experience!! I ordered from an Indian restaurant at first. It never arrived. Then I try to reorder it, somehow something else gets ordered instead (something I never chose). I try to get help anyway possible. The support chat kept ending the chats with no resolution. Then I reordered once again, it takes so long to arrive. Felt absolutely helpless. Terrible experience.

    Few weeks back I was in Chicago and was ordering food and didn't realize that app was picking up the last location which was San Antonio in my case, however without realizing I ordered the food, however as I saw the receipt it showed me San Antonio address for the hotel. Within next few seconds I immediately cancelled the ordered, however Uber charged me 85% of the order as they stated that, "The restaurant started preparing the food for you hence we need to charge the amount."

    Now I asked the Customer care person that this didn't made any sense as I ordered the food within seconds how can someone start preparing the food.. Their response was, "We cannot do anything," and they charged me $72. What I have realized after that incident is Uber is only about making money - they just don't care about their customers. I have decided to use local restaurant's delivery service as they are more reliable and are more customer friendly unlike Uber. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone

    RE: my first and last Uber Eats experience. What a TERRIBLE experience. Such an unprofessional mess: what started as a seemingly straightforward process became nonsense pretty quickly! No drinks with my order and an ultimately incredibly convoluted process to get a full refund (initially, I was refunded an apparently random amount of money and had to spend an extended amount of time on the chat to sort that out).

    And then discovered that I had been charged a service fee (and with all the challenges, I’m not entirely sure what “Service“ I received) that I definitely do not recall seeing at the time of my original order – – but it became extremely difficult to access that original receipt (including that I kept getting error messages and dead ending screens).

    Overall, the app was wonky as hell and the customer “Service” was feeble. The act of unsubscribing was also predictably complicated and the link to sending an email was pointless and profoundly irritating. Ultimately, though hooked by an initial $25 discount (which made an incredibly expensive transaction somewhat cheaper), the “time is money” factor added up to a tremendous loss at this point. All in all, I couldn’t dissuade one from the use of Uber Eats enough!

    Almost every time I've ordered in the last couple months I had items missing, the wrong order, or I straight up did not even get my order. Sad how often that's happened when it is literally their job to make sure you get the right order and everything you ordered.

    Something I’ve noticed about Uber Eats is that they will change their expected delivery time to avoid paying the $5 Uber Bucks promised if they are late. I had a delivery promised for 10:15 pm and the time changed to 10:20. Then it soon changed to 10:30. At 10:27 it changed to 10:20 and my food arrived at 10:37 a full 22 minutes later than the original delivery time.

    **** I spent $20 on a cheeseburger and fries, including a $4 tip for the driver. The driver showed up 10 minutes ago and gave me 2 orders of French fries and NO cheeseburger. After trying 2 times to talk to 2 different reps. (who are in the **), they could CARE LESS about me not getting the correct order. I tried nicely to explain the situation and they would NOT give me a credit on my account or ANYTHING. Do yourself a favor and go with a BETTER FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE. Never again!     I placed an order with a restaurant (front page restaurant) in the Bronx September 25, 2023 for 4 items. They notified me that they don’t have the items, so I asked them to substitute it. They couldn’t. I asked them to cancel my order then she told me, "We can’t on our end so you have to on your end." So I did.. I contacted Uber Eats about the issue and they charged me $37 cancellations for my order. I NEVER received my refund back from Uber Eats. This is not right for a company to take advantage of their customer like this. It was my first time ever canceling a order and I had to pay full amount for something I never received.

    I ordered groceries on Uber Eats because I have a broken arm and it is hard to shop on my own. The uber eats driver took all my groceries out of the bag and left it on my WET porch FLOOR and then STOLE THE BAGS. (They were the blue Walmart bags) and I got it all on video. I went to complain on the app and they ENDED the chat on me without helping. They just said “rate the driver” and did not provide ANY help. I can’t find anywhere to leave a complaint and I had to carry my groceries in my house one by one because of my broken arm, my groceries were all gross and wet.

    I placed an order on Uber Eats yesterday from Popeyes. The order didn't come for 2 hours and then when it finally did arrive it wasn't my order. Before I placed the order I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager. She said no problem she got it. When I saw that I had received the wrong order I immediately went to uber eats help and advised them. They said that my order was not eligible for a refund. I called their customer service number to speak with a person and was told the same thing so I requested a supervisor. The guy hung up on me. I called back and requested a supervisor again. I was told someone would call within 20 minutes.

    No one has called yet and it's the next day. I went to the website again and requested a refund. They still said no. Again I requested a supervisor. Someone who said they were a supervisor told me they would not refund my order. I said no problem I'll just dispute the charge. I have never had such poor customer service in all my life. I am thinking about not using uber eats anymore. They are expensive as hell and it's just not worth it.

    I ordered scheduled delivery yesterday and the delivery person came with order from wrong restaurant. I said this is not from where I ordered. He said he will check with customer service and after sometime the order was cancelled saying the Delivery person could not contact me. When I reached out customer service, they said order is getting delayed and will have to wait for some more time. When contacted a little later, I was told order is cancelled and I will not even get refund for that. When I explained what happened, they were hesitant to listen and when asked to contact higher level, she said I will be contacted shortly after I disconnect and haven't received a call until this point of time. I have experienced this issue several times and it is a lesson to be away from them. They just take your money.

    What’s the purpose of putting delivery instructions in your profile if they are not going to respect them. I clearly have please meet me at the door and hand me the food. In addition to my food I ordered an orange Fanta as well. Well the app said the driver is 1 min away. Well it said that for 5 mins. I just happen to go to the door to look out to see if they were out there and I saw my food sitting on the ground with ants around the bag. And the orange Fanta was clear… go figure. So I picked everything up and came in the house. The beverage to waste on my hand and it tasted like seltzer water.

    The only thing I could eat was the wings because they were in a covered box everything else was in the little open boat containers and I don’t know if anything crawled in them. I tried calling the driver and it went to voicemail. So I contacted customer service through chat. They gave me a 4-5 paragraph apology and a $2 credit. Well the beverage itself was $3.39. So I texted back and inquired what was the $2 for when the beverage was $3.39. Their response was, "We’ve credited your account with $2 is anything else we can help you with?" So needless to say I will go back to DOORDASH!!! I will not be using Uber Eats again. They can take those $2 and give them to someone else!

    It has been apparent that Uber Eats does not care about the delivery service they are providing or should I say NOT providing. In the last year, I have had driver's exchanged during a delivery. Overextended Delivery Times, Opened containers and missing items. There once was a high standard with the drivers and the restaurants and Uber Eats stood behind the delivery process. This is not the case today.

    Uber Eats is not taking any responsibility for anything. It has become order at your own risk. well, not for this consumer. After trying to get a partial refund and being denied. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and now Consumer Affairs. I have also deleted the App. This is not right and just to us consumers. We need them to be held accountable.

    I deleted my Uber app and months later noticed that I was being charged for an undisclosed service beginning AFTER the time of me deleting the app. They told me that I was being charged for a service (Uber One) which I had never even heard of. I asked for proof. Nothing. They refused to refund me. Instead, they offered a portion and "assured" me that I would no longer be charged in the future before disconnecting the chat. I Had to just file a claim with my bank to get my money back.

    The number one problem with this delivery service, is the lack of communication with the drivers and the fact that you can not reach anyone during an emergency or urgent matter. This is the worst customer service ever. I can't wait for a better delivery service to launch worldwide and be wayyyy better than Uber Cheats.

    The experience with drivers has been awful for the past few months. Drivers have been taking orders, delivering partial or damaged orders, displaying shady behavior and all customer service can do is provide a refund or a credit. What is the point of using their services and or being an Uber 1 member if the service is TERRIBLE. This service is a waste. I would advise you to walk and get your order before using their services. It seems that no one is held accountable.

    UBER EATS IS RIPPING US OFF!!!! I never write reviews but I just realized that Uber Eats is ripping people off and that’s just not okay. The economy is bad and people work their buts off to earn money. 
UBER EATS OVERCHARGES ON RESTAURANT ACTUAL PRICES SO WE ALL END UP PAYING MINIMUM $30 EXTRA WHEN ORDERING THROUGH UBER EATS.
I’m pretty sure a lot of people don’t realize they’re overpaying for food, I’m just going to get in my car and drive instead of using them ever again. Example: my total order with Uber eats was $80.00 and that’s without adding the tip for the driver yet, I called the restaurant to give me a total if I went to pick up the food and it was $49. I drove!

    On Friday at 7:33 PM, I placed a delivery order on the Five Guys app with an estimated delivery time of 8:19 PM. However, the driver didn't arrive until 8:40 PM, which was not a concern for me. Yet, what followed became an issue, and it's disappointing that both Five Guys and Uber didn't treat the matter seriously, considering it could have been worse. It's important to note that I had chosen a no-contact delivery option when placing the order. Before the driver's arrival, I received a notification indicating his presence. I started watching him through my Ring camera. The driver exited his car and walked to the back driver's side door, quickly closing it. Due to the nighttime setting, visibility was limited, and I mistakenly thought he had my food, but it was his phone. He then approached my house, and I used the microphone feature to direct him to place the food on the bench.

    Subsequently, the driver called my phone and insisted on seeing my ID to verify sobriety, which made no logical sense as my order didn't include any alcohol or substances requiring ID verification. The idea of checking someone's ID to assess their sobriety was nonsensical. This situation raised concerns, leading me to contact Five Guys for a refund due to the driver's unusual request. However, they declined, indicating that Uber Direct was responsible for the delivery. I then contacted Uber Eats, as there is no direct customer service number for Uber Direct. Unfortunately, Uber also refused to address the refund or the driver's behavior. Meanwhile, the driver remained in his car outside my house. Feeling unsafe, I contacted the police. Following this, I called Five Guys again and finally received a partial resolution regarding my refund. They suggested reaching out the next day to the general manager or having my food remade.

    While keeping an eye on the camera, I noticed the driver still outside. I attempted to contact Uber Eats again to explain the situation. I was connected to the Uber Direct department, which, once again, refused to take action. I persisted and called the next day, speaking with an agent who mentioned that Uber would investigate. They assured me of a follow-up call if further information or the footage I possessed was needed. Regrettably, five days have passed since the incident, which amounts to three business days, and no one has attempted to contact me. Uber's only response was to ensure the driver doesn't deliver to me again, but more needs to be done. The driver's presence and actions were unsettling, especially requesting an ID for items that didn't involve alcohol or other controlled substances. He remained outside my house from 8:40 PM to 9:10 PM, all captured on camera.

    It's disheartening that companies often wait for unfortunate incidents to occur before taking action. It's remarkable how their policies toward drivers have relaxed, as compared to my mother's experience delivering for them. In the past, if customers in apartments or hotels were asked to meet her in the lobby, there was backlash. This driver's behavior highlights a concerning trend among delivery drivers. Despite receiving a $4.00 tip, which wasn't insignificant, I felt the need to publicly share this on social media to raise awareness.

    UberEats Customer "service" is farce. I'm travelling and I order food; they are charging me for the food I never received. They claim the food was 'left' somewhere 'Safe'. I walked all around the entry way to the building, no food. When I contact their online support, they cut and paste a legal sentence; basically, equivalent of 'Oh well' and 'too bad'! How far down the block do I need to walk to find their 'safe' place that they claim they've left the food? What is their definition of a safe place anyways? Police station? Fire Department? Simply under a streetlight?

    I ordered from a local Thai restaurant back on 1/11/23. The total of the order was over $60. The driver either stole the food (most likely) or purposely left it in front of our apartment building instead of bringing it to the door 20 steps up from them. We have an apartment complex with over a 1000 residents so leaving something on the main sidewalk instead of bringing it to the door could only be done on purpose. Called customer service sent the picture the driver took on the sidewalk on the parking lot. They said the driver did all they could to find the apt.. They refused to refund so stole the money for food and the tip from me. BEWARE.

    Ordered dinner from the local restaurant Nick the Greek few nights ago. The restaurant is literally 3 min away from me but I decided to rest and order instead. The restaurant and their food is always good, but this review is on Uber Eats. A $17.99 plate had cost me $32.56. I have the receipt. On top, Uber asked me to include additional tips. At first, I had put in 0 for tips but the lady was nice who dropped the food so I added $4 to the tip. Bunch of Service fee, Priority Delivery (to avoid getting cold food), Tax, CA Driver Benefits and Delivery Fee. And on top of that, tips! This is a shame. A $18 plate costs you above $36 including tips. Such a shame.

    My mom passed and I've been cleaning her apt. I usually always use Doordash but the app was down. I used Uber Eats to send water to my home. I spent almost 40.00 and never got my stuff.     Uber never told me to update my old photo, they just deactivated me saying I wasn't me because I lost weight and dyed my hair red. They said I was sharing but of course, I was not. All they had to do was tell me I needed to update my photo. If not reactivated I will go to a lawyer for discrimination because I died my hair and I feel this is not okay.

    I ordered an item from a convenience store. I was notified of an alternative choice being made by the shopper that I didn’t want so I canceled. Cancellation resulted in nothing delivered and a non-refundable 18-dollar fee for the “preparation” which was nothing since this was a packaged item from a store. This treatment is after paying for Uber one for over a year and regularly using the service and tipping well. I will never support or suggest anything branded Uber to anyone. Poor treatment of honest customers is how a business is ruined.

    Had a few issues with them cancelling orders without any notice. Most recent one happened when I tried to check and see what was taking so long. Didn't get an answer, just cancelled my order. Tried to contact customer service and no help, no compensation for the lost time, no explanation why so I could avoid the issue in the future, nothing. They did tell me they wouldn't charge me for the cancelled order which was funny since if they didn't refund my payment that would be robbery. Anyway, don't use this service. There's better options out there.

    So upon my delivery, Uber driver ** woman decides to eats some of my kid's shrimp and leave shells contaminated in our bag of food when followed behind her to ask why she storms off ignoring me. I contacted Uber Eats, all they can do is block her from delivering to me which does not solve the issue. She can do it to the next delivery. This company is careless and we are the ones losing out on money and can’t eat our food due to these safety matter. I’m beyond Angry and I will never do business with this company again. Something need to be done to this company and their drivers.

    Uber Eats is a fraudulent company. They offer promo codes directly in your account that DO NOT WORK. It's a scam to get you to purchase them. They bill you the full amount later. There is no promo. Also your food might not arrive and if that happens you do not receive a refund. They said the account is not eligible for one. Several times they did not deliver the food. Told me once they could not reach the driver. Another time the driver took the food back and when I reordered it brought me back the same cold food. Awful service. They also delivered the food to the wrong house. There is absolutely nothing positive to say about this fraudulent coming. There should be a class action suit against them for stealing from people. I will never use them again.

    I have been using Uber Eats for years and been very satisfied. The past couple of orders have been delivered by bicycle. As you can imagine, the food is cold and upside down when delivered. Uber Eats will credit you back, however your order is not remade. There should be an option for delivery by car, even if it is an upcharge.

    Uber Eats places a massive upcharge on items you order through them. Try Doordash, GrubHub, or ordering from the places directly. Because I was delivered incorrect items, the delivery driver told me that I could get a refund or credit from Uber Eats. I was in touch with the driver about alternative items while he was in the process of getting the items. He still got incorrect items.

    My grandson ordered Burger King from Uber Eats. Delivery person rides a bike and it is raining so instead of rejecting the order, she takes it. 30 minutes later informs him that she is not going to deliver. No way to contact Uber eats to get money back, order was $23 and they want a $23 cancellation fee. For what???? They are a scam. Even their car service sucks. You can never access their app and they cost more than Lyft which is a much better option.

    Someone else's order was delivered to me instead of mine (photos show I received Bonchon yet I ordered Hawkers), yet they refuse to refund even though I have proof via my photos as well as the photo that their own (Uber) driver provided when leaving the food, showing the name of the restaurant and I have the receipt photo showing the other customer's name. They say because I had "significant" refunds. Those "significant" refunds were for my previous TWO orders which had to be refunded because of their or the restaurant's mess up, in all my history between Uber and Postmates. Those orders deserved a refund, and this one most certainly does since I never received my food that I ordered and have UNDENIABLE proof I received the wrong order.

    It isn't even a refund to my bank account I'm asking for. I'm asking for the credit I had on my account back that I used since the last time they messed up. I will be reviewing this (under Postmates and Uber Eats) on every site, contacting their legal team, and my own lawyer, since as I told them - I don't care if it was a small amount - I believe in consumer protections and they are committing fraud by using some hack refund/community policy and not rightfully refunding customers who show proof they are owed a refund.

    Two inaccurate orders in one week and customer service would not help to resolve. The first was due to a glitch in the UBER EATS system. Received a message that my first order could not be processed. After multiple attempts, I moved on to a different restaurant and was able to confirm order. I received both orders (exact same items in both) and was charged for both. Customer service could not care less. I was actually told they have experienced this type of glitch before but would not help.

    The second time I ordered days later, everything, which was multiple food items for 4 out of town guests, arrived cold. Again Uber Eats would not try to resolve the issue. The restaurant got involved and contacted their customer service rep at Uber Eats, who I am told will now issue a refund. Should not be this hard. I detest complaining and only decided to write a review after I was hung up on by the second person in the far off call center that poses as "customer service".

    I canceled this order 2 minutes after I placed it. It said I could since it had not began and no driver assigned! It did not say I would be charged anyway. It also said I needed to give the driver my pin # before I cancelled it with its permission....I even refreshed the app to make sure no order was ongoing!     Uber Eats is notorious for horrible delivery people who feel that deserve and are entitled to the highest possible tip and they could care less about service. Missing food, never received orders, very very long delivery times and even preset Arrival times that will randomly double cause the driver picks up another order. If you try to use the app to get customer service they will literally lie, mislead, use false info to try and justify why you received such a horrible service and instead of saving a customer who spends thousands they will tell you to kick rocks over $1.34 and could care less if you order again. This is coming from someone who spends over 1000 a month on Uber rides… their delivery service is more of a scam than anything. Save yourself the frustration.

    Placed an order with Uber Eats on Sunday May 28th, 2023 for Sushi. Then, placed an order with Uber Eats on Friday June 9th, 2023 for Pizza. The system glitched and the previous sushi order was placed again. The sushi was never received. We never wanted sushi. We were trying to order a pizza. Tried to cancel the order and was assessed a $48.89 cancellation fee. Contacted the merchant (Uber Eats) who was absolutely no help on Sunday June 11th, 2023. We feel we should not be charged for food we never received nor wanted due to a glitch in the Uber Eats system.

    Updated on 07/13/2023: So after multiple emails to Uber Eats support, the company has the nerve to call me with no resolve. The individual who called me was rude, kept cutting me off and had zero resolve in the end! Uber Eats won’t ever get my business and I will continue to fight this simply because it’s the right thing to do. I paid for food and service, in which I received neither of the two. In addition to not resolving the matter by fully refunding my card, they disgracefully decide to call me with no resolve which ultimately feels like a form of harassment. Now I will head over to all site reviews to let everyone know what a dishonest, bunch of scammers Uber Eats are.

    Original review: I ordered from a pizza place. The driver claimed to have arrived but could not deliver the food until I sent the confirmation code. I sent the confirmation code but there was nothing at my door. I tried filing a claim and Uber “Scam Fam” Eats, messages me back stating that because I sent the code, they cannot refund my money. Mind you, I tipped the thief that Uber Eats put on the job $10!!!! I will NEVER USE UBER AGAIN! I will stick with DoorDash…. At least they send me a picture of the food on my step with each delivery when it’s delivered. Uber Eats sucks and they’re thieves!

    I was at work and was hungry. Decided to order food. The company delayed my order. I viewed where the driver was located and he was never moving en route to the store. I guess he was killing time considering he had until 3am but that's rude to make customers wait longer than they have to. I decided to cancel the order. They charged me more for the cancelation than the actual cost of the food itself. Just tell the drivers to either communicate or cancel orders that they are not prepared to deliver.

    I ordered food, they kept changing the delivery driver so I cancelled. I was charged for the cancellation as they said the merchant had already prepared the order. So I said I would take it if they could deliver, they said that could not happen and I would have to pay. I called the merchant and they confirmed the order had in fact been given to an Uber driver, so that means he stole it. I cannot get Ubereats to comprehend this.

    I ordered an Uber and the cost estimate was for about $22. It did add a note saying an extra charge during surges could be added but did not say how much. When I got the bill a $33 surcharge was added on top of the $22 estimate - THAT IS A 150% ADD! That is completely deceptive pricing and an outrageous practice. If they are going to add a surcharge they need to add it upfront and tell me it’s $55, not $22. Don’t use Uber if you can avoid them.

    I wish I could load up a photo of this dirtbag who stole a $93 order of food from us. Lake Worth Florida Uber Eats Driver named JohnathEn - After insulting me, Uber did refund my restaurant tab, but still tipped the guy, despite knowing he stole food. My girl and I are Blue Diamond Customers from some restaurants. Ordering a couple grand a month from me alone. I would have continued to Use Uber if they did not treat me so poorly at first and even said they would speak with the driver, but NO, they tipped him with my money and he is still out there robbing customers. Bad News, and Uber cannot be trusted. In just two days I have spent $104 on Lyft and gone and picked up $177 worth of food. Will never use Uber again!!

    What a terrible experience -- not just trying to order but the 'customer service' after. I would NEVER do business with these people again. I ordered pizza for 5/19, but your software told me that the order was for 5/20 (see photo). It also didn't show the promised discount (75% on my first order), even though it reported that I was saving 75%. I tried to verify on the receipt, but it was not available yet. There was no way to correct the order that I could find. I even tried to use your chatbot, but it was... unhelpful.

    I finally decided to cancel the order and re-do it. The software asked me what my reason was but beyond being able to select ‘another reason,’ I never had a chance to explain that the order was for the wrong day and that the discount was not applied. It just cancelled the order, and you charged me (for inconveniencing the restaurant and driver, you said -- for an order 24 hours away). I told the chatbot I wanted to talk to a human since I was sure this was a glitch. But it declared the matter resolved.

    I looked for a customer service number on the order and then on your website. Couldn't find a number after searching repeatedly. Finally, I looked elsewhere online and on the 2nd try, I got a good number. I figured customer service would resolve this easily. But they didn't. The rep told me that I should never cancel an order and that if there were a problem, I should have called. She said there was nothing you could do. I was just out $47 for troubling the restaurant and driver with a false order.

    I asked to talk to her supervisor, but she explained that they were quite busy and would give me a call in the next 24 hours. I explained that in 24 hours, I wouldn’t be in the country anymore, and my Canadian phone would be dead. She asked for my American number, and I gave it to her. I waited for the call today, but the supervisor never called. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the agent, and she apologized repeatedly. But she did nothing to resolve a problem with a first-time user and blamed said user (moi) for the problem. Later, I found that the receipt had become available. It showed an order for 5/19 with a 25% discount -- cancelled, of course.

    Mistakes happen both on the user end and the service provider end, so that's not a problem for me. But blaming and charging a first-time user for an order they never received is idiotic and bad business. I expected better. I still do. Interestingly, I had a somewhat similar mishap with Door Dash. I called their number and within 10 minutes, I had a credit to spend on a future order. Case closed. That's how you resolve a problem.

    Complete waste of time and a huge headache. Before signing up, we were assured that we would be able to add a 15% markup on the Delivery menu for Uber. After spending a few days getting the system integrated with Uber, we were told it was not possible. We then requested the account be closed and they refuse to close our account. We are told that store would be listed as "closed' and this is confusing customers into thinking our store is closed. Not sure why they make things so complicated compared to GH and DD. Both integration with our CLOVER POS went thru perfectly and we are able to add a 15% markup with zero issues. Uber Eats on the other-hand refuses to do this for us. And now they are refusing to remove our account.

    Consistently poor quality food, all they want is to book the order. No follow through on quality of food. Example: crab delivered with over oiled presentation that is not butter, as advertised.     I've had two horrible experiences with Uber. The first time was on my way from a chemo treatment. The driver at that time didn't understand English so I gesture gestured for him to take me to a gas station. He did. I told him to wait and he did until I was checking out, I looked it off the window and saw him pull off. I was coming home from my dr's. I thought maybe he was new and quit using Uber. I changed my mind after months and ordered from Uber Eats. I fell asleep waiting on them. I tried to file complaint with them but I couldn't complain because they say somewhere that I accepted the order. FALSE.

    I am infuriated by this company right now. I ordered Pad Thai tonight and my delivery person left me someone else's order of French fries. I get in touch with Uber Eats and they tell me the order is not eligible for a refund. How does that make ANY sense at all? I didn't get my food. I paid 23 dollars for Pad Thai and was left an order of French Fries!!!! I provided photos and the receipt attached to the french fries with the person's name and order info but Uber Eats just won't refund it. I am livid., I didn't get my food and am out 23 bucks now. HORRIBLE service.

    Ordered my favorite Jerk Chicken Restaurant. Order was improperly transported and when I got it the bag was torn and all the bean juice leaked over the fries, sweet bread, mac & cheese, chicken and rice. I sent pictures with order details to get a refund. The responded that they needed additional information. I sent the additional information. The responded that they needed the pictures of the order. I sent the two pictures I took. They responded that I needed to send order number and details (This was sent in first email).

    I sent order number, items, time and date. They responded that they needed additional information without stating what information they needed. I stated that I sent everything they already asked for. They responded that I needed to reach out to them using my customer account. It's clear that their tactic is to make getting a refund or any sort of compensation extremely difficult and time consuming. If they want to keep the money that is fine. I will be deleting both the Uber Eats app and regular Uber app. They have have lost my business.

    I signed up 18 months ago for my business. I was super excited because I was assuming Uber will increase my revenue as they always promise!! All I can say after 18 months is the worst platform I have ever tried. In 18 months of service with Uber I have received 3 orders!! And my restaurant kept going unavailable for no reason. I was calling every day to fix this issue and no one have an answer for that. So after calling and calling I give up! Then all of a sudden after 2 months, I received an email regarding this issue.     If I could put a negative I would. In April I ordered Chinese food. My family went to pick it up, but the restaurant did not have the order. I checked my phone and saw it said there was an error. I reordered the food and was happy with that. Come to find out I was charged for both orders. I read on Uber Eats that it could take up to 10 days to get a refund. I waited, and no refund came. I then contacted Uber Eats and asked for a refund where they proceeded to tell me I did not qualify for one. I explained that they double charged me and they would not listen. All they kept telling me was I did not qualify for a refund. It wasn’t their fault that the driver canceled the order. But again, the restaurant didn’t even have the order. I ended up having to dispute the amount through PayPal and was lucky that PayPal gave me my money back.

    Fast forward to May 27 I ordered from the same restaurant again. Food was great, but Uber Eats was not. (My company gives us vouchers for Uber Eats, otherwise I would not use them.) They ended up, taking back the money that PayPal had refunded me when I put my order through. I contacted them today and they told me, "It’s been over 48 hours (they took the money May 30th). We already paid them. Sorry you can’t have your money back." I explained that I did pay for the food, but that they took money from my account which I did not consent to and for an order I was refunded from PayPal. PayPal understood what happened… Now I am back to disputing with PayPal to get my money back again… if not, my bank. Very Dishonest, disappointing, and do not even listen to the issue or use common sense. Thieves.

They said on the app that they have their own drivers so I would not be getting any app notifications. A few minutes later I got a notification saying my driver was on the way. Now keep in mind I always look over my order after I place it to make sure I didn't miss anything. But UE decided to place my KFC order anyway I guess. And then when I tried to cancel it they kept my money even though it was their fault. It had honestly put a real bad taste in my mouth. I think I will be sticking to DoorDash. I have never had a problem with them.

    Uber Eats is a total scam! Don't waste your money! We ordered from a high-end restaurant, spent $200 on food and Uber Eats delivery.... and nothing got delivered! The app kept reporting the driver getting closer and closer, then insisted that the driver had tried to contact us, but this was a total lie. I sent 5 unanswered texts and called 4 times to the delivery person (DennisJ) with no answer. Then I wasted 30 minutes battling the useless customer support on the app, and they completely refused to either refund us or deliver the food. Finally, by sheer chance, we called the restaurant....who told us the food had never been picked up! At least we were able to retrieve the food, although we paid delivery and tip for nothing! I urge everyone who reads this NEVER to use Uber Eats for anything! Ever!

    All of my Uber Eats deliveries have been excellent until the last one. Tracked driver who was at the restaurant for more than an hour to 1.5 hours. Commented to her after 30 minutes saying I was sorry she had to wait so long. She never replied back and just cancelled the order quite a bit later. We were starving.     Very Upset at Uber Eats because they are skimming off the restaurant charge also plus their fee. I order food from a restaurant thru uber app and was charged 147.23 without their fees included and on my order receive the ticket of what the restaurant charged uber which was 82.90. That is a 77.59% up-charge. Have complained to Uber but it seems they don't care. Call restaurant before and check on their delivery service first. It will cost you less.

    I was told my background check needed to be updated however after waiting 7 business days for more than two weeks the problem kept reoccurring after being cleared.     Extremely disappointing customer service. I had placed an order for Buy 1 get 1 free - it didn't add that to the cart, and told me that I have to add 2 items to get that offer. I had done this in the past and the second 'free' item was automatically added to the cart. When I called customer service immediately, the person (Tony) could barely speak English and understand the issue. He kept me on hold for ~7 mins to come back and say the order cannot be canceled, since the merchant has already started preparing.

    When I asked him to call the merchant and add the second item, he informed me that cannot be done and that I have to call them. I called the merchant only to be told that Uber Eats has to do it online. This went on for several phone calls placed by me - and the end result was zero. When asked to connect to a supervisor, they informed me it was against their policy to connect to a supervisor. Uber Eats has been consistently late, delivering cold food and with increasing service charges, the services are decreasing. I hope my review reaches the correct authorities, and they can look into the issue. Also, it would be really helpful, if they hire customer service operators who can speak and understand English.

    I placed an order well in advance (nearly a week) of when I needed it and scheduled. The day of the order at the time of the anticipated delivery of an order for nearly 300 - the driver must have decided they did not want to deliver it and cancelled it.     I wish zero stars was an option. The app told me my driver was on the way at 3:57pm. The app said the driver was 4 mins away so I went outside my apt building to wait. At 4:19pm I received a message from the driver saying he was 9 minutes away...which was weird because the app now said he was 1 min away. Okay, fine. Then the app called me and told me my driver was trying to reach me and to check my messages. I checked. Still the one message that said nine minutes away. Fine. I messaged back saying I was standing outside.

    Nine minutes later, the app said my food was delivered. My food was not delivered. No one pulled up to the building to deliver. How do I know this? Because I was standing outside! I waited outside for 30 mins and the food never arrived. When I contacted customer service I was told the matter was resolved and there was nothing they could do. I tried again and received the same cut and paste message. My food never arrived. I did nothing wrong. I attempted to contact my driver and say I was outside. I was indeed outside. No one ever arrived. This is absolutely ridiculous.

    I ordered food for pick up at Chilli's. I got to the restaurant and they said no order was created but yet Uber Eats already took my money. I had to chat with two different people at uber eats to be told that there wasn't anything they could do. I deleted all of the Uber apps and will never give them any more of my money.     Uber Eats is very convenient but as of late, I've encountered drivers arriving in vehicles that they did not register with. On multiple occasions, the app states the driver is arriving on a bicycle but arrives in a vehicle. I'm not sure how or why Uber thinks this is ok.     If I could give negative stars, I would. They do NOT value their customers. Period. I ordered Uber Eats (first and last time ever). Order was delivered late. (I was on the phone with one of their customer service reps at the time it was delivered) which was AFTER the "no later than" time. I don't know how this is even questionable since I was on the phone with them at the time it arrived. Supervisor confirmed it was late and promised a refund. Not only did I not get the refund, they now tell me it was delivered EARLY.

    I've spoken to multiple CS agents, Supervisors and now a Manager. They say it is IMPOSSIBLE to issue a refund. Their driver accepted the order and sat still for more than 15 minutes before leaving to pick up the order. (I could see their progress on the tracker). They picked up my food more than 50 minutes after it was ready. They had only one stop before mine. When it got to me, it was cold. Who wants to pay $40 for cold food that they just can't eat. I was traveling so I had no way to reheat it. Yet, they refuse to refund. They tell me there is no way they can. I will NEVER use their service again. Beware. They promise things they will never deliver. If you use their service, I hope your food is delivered on time because if it isn't, they won't refund. They'll die on a hill saying it was on time or early. Customer service is non-existent. The "best" they could do was offer me $30 uber cash... How does that help if I will NEVER use their service again?!

    Placed an Uber Eats order with Dairy Queen made a mistake and cancelled the order as soon as it was placed. They still charged me 13.15 for the food saying they started my order already. There was no way they started the order because I literally cancelled the order as soon as I placed it. Customer service was no help and I had an Uber monthly membership with them. I use them on a weekly basis and never had had to cancel an order. Nowhere does it say if you cancel an order you will still be charged the original order amount… I requested a refund with ZERO help from Uber eats.     I have used Uber Eats for awhile. In the last couple of orders I received the someone else order. I received a refund on the first one which was great because I do not eat the type of food that was delivered. I ordered again and it went perfect and food was great. Then tonight again the wrong items were delivered and items were missing. It looks like the wrong order was picked up again. I complained online and received a nasty email saying that people that complain a lot will be blocked from receiving refunds. I am baffled as both times I gave copies receipts of what I ordered and what was delivered and they are different. I have no problem with the other food deliveries they are great. Uber Eats has gone from a good service to one that is a problem to get what you order and then they make it very difficult to get a refund. Beware.

    Just use Door Dash. We ordered milkshakes before 3:30. Our driver was on a BICYCLE with at least 2 stops before us, then got lost. At 4:19 he arrived. Everything was melted. And he was trying to carry the shakes in his lap while driving a bike. One fell out. One was half empty and spilled all over everything. It was caramel, so everything is sticky, including my suit. The lids were popped off of 2 drinks and spilled into each other. One drink we didn't even order. (How did he even have stops before us? Where the heck did he put them?)

    Anyway - Uber won't credit all of it because I didn't take pictures. But my coworkers tossed them already. So... if one frozen drink doesn't make it through a 40-minute bicycle ride in 80 degrees, you have to prove through photos that the others are magically immune to heat. Also, Uber says they aren't responsible for drinks that are the wrong temperature. They are apparently not responsible for much else, either. I'm out. I'll use ANYBODY else.

    Uber Eats is the worst to trust for food deliveries. People approach apps like Uber eats when in need and kind of urgent need. Last 5 months or more I have been patient with Uber eats. Every single order that I have placed was always delayed by more than an hour. Most of the times the order gets canceled after more than 2 hours wait time. Worst service. Not trustworthy.

    Scammy, Deceptive, take most of the profit from the driver. They will stack orders and hide them so that you do not know where you’re taking the food from other restaurants. Furthermore, they will take you so far away that you’ll never be able to get back home.     I finally figured out this business model. They break even on actual deliveries. They cancel a % of all transactions. They refund purchase only, keep tip. (20%). When customers complain they wear them down until they drop it. Probably $6. Multiply that over thousands of transactions is pure profit.

    I had used Uber Eats and had been quite happy with them. Then I needed to get in touch with them! It’s impossible! They charged $36 for a $16 salad! The restaurant canceled my order and UberEats kept my money. The restaurant told me to reorder because the app was wrong but I didn’t want to pay $72 for a salad.     On Saturday, March 18 I placed an order for $169 at a local restaurant. When I receive the order I only received three of the seven items that I ordered, I called the restaurant to receive a refund and they said they would contact Uber eats. I assumed I was refunded. Not only that, I left an $18 tip for the driver. I just realize they charge my credit card and it is now March 24 and they’re telling me it’s too late to get a refund. This is terrible service.     Stay away from driving or delivering for Uber Eats. It's not worth the money and the management doesn't have good control over the operation like they should. Since the whole app is ride share based, for deliveries it leads to racism and discrimination among drivers selecting orders. They are able to see where they are delivering to, and if they have heard bad things about that area, they cancel the order. I live in one of these areas, and always faithfully served deliveries here with no problem. As a ** person and minority in this neighborhood, it bothered me to see orders being cancelled and then it happened to me when I ordered myself. 5 different orders on a busy Saturday night and no one to deliver.

    When you have tech issues with the app, good luck getting support and help. Their call centers are totally outsourced overseas so the connection on their headpieces is not good and there is a lot of background noise, so it's hard to hear if you are out delivering. I had many tech issues and their app finally started freezing on me. I called more than 4 times and even had my situation escalated with no resolution. It was as if they forgot about me each time, and there was supposed to be a record of our chat and screen shots. I even reached out to them via social media, praying this might help, and no. They are more concerned with their customers than their drivers.

    The problem is, Uber is one big disorganized mess. DoorDash or Instacart are much better apps any pay way better. Steer clear of Uber for driving AND as a customer. They clearly have problems that can lead to very visual discrimination cases and I will be filing a complaint with the EEOC about this as well.

    Uber Eats repeatedly emailed me promotional offers to get me to use their service. I accepted a twenty dollar offer promotion but it disappeared once I placed the order. When I called the customer service number they advised me to take a screenshot of the promotion and then wait till the order was delivered before they could adjust the price. I did exactly what they said and when calling back they then said they could not adjust the price and my account was locked. This was the first order I had placed with them in a long time-without the promotion I never would have made the order.     We ordered hamburgers and they were delivered almost an hour after ordering. Obviously they were cold, onion rings cold and soggy. I called the company and was told "we have an hour delivery policy". This is unacceptable for hot food. On top of it, I think it sat so long, I had horrible stomach issues 2 hours after I ate it.     Placed a lunch order showing 30 mins delivery times at a Dos Toros near my apartment. After placing the order I checked back in 30 mins anticipating an imminent delivery only to learn the order was moved to another dose toros branch uptown AND the delivery would be made over an hour and a 1/2 after placed. Also sae a 30 mins bike ride timed in so my food would be freezer cold upon arrival.

    Cancelled the order and was charged with no refund as they claimed order was already ready yet it was still an hour until "estimated delivery" Uber customer service offerred lip service Apologies and fake understanding and kept stating policies prohibit anything from being done. When pressed the resolution was to spend more time emailing Uber the issues with the policy! Don't waste time or money with companies who lean on policies that at best are immoral, unethical and against the customer and at worst are purposely fraudulent... Let your wallet speak. Was a regular customer and will use other food delivery services that have integrity.

    Placed an order and went to remove something and add something else. Well it didn’t, it was canceled immediately so the merchant didn’t complete the order. They confirmed it. I will never use them again. Only Doordash moving forward, they stand with the customer not the opposite l. The solution was me driving to pick it up. Which I can’t do with 2 young sleeping kids.     I'm an Uber delivery driver, started few months ago, I was doing well and always getting a good feedback from the customers..Unfortunately this past few days I noticed you can no longer pick which deliveries you gonna pick. If the order popped up on the screen you need to pick up right away. They will give 4 tries and if you don't accept they will log you off automatically as it will say on the screen "Are you still there, it seems you missed a lot of deliveries, will log you off and come back online again when you're ready" which is absolutely ridiculous because they are forcing you to accept a 3.50 for an 8 mi delivery....

    As a delivery driver of course I want to make a profit. It's my car. It's my gas. if I will accept those low tips, high mileage deliveries I will ended up nothing and Uber will make profit for it...UBer ripping us drivers nowadays...I feel like they're baiting you to make good profits for a couple months, afterwards they will give you unprofitable deliveries..I noticed it too that in a span of 5 hours and you already making $100 they will stop giving you deliveries even on a busy hours...Uber will give you 12 hours per day and I tried to use the entire hours ended making the same amount..Also if you complain the Merchants it's still your fault...Merchants here doesn't trust delivery drivers...Uber if you think your delivery drivers are not TRUSTED AND COULDN'T COMPLETE THE ORDERS DEACTIVATE THEIR ACCOUNT RIGHT AWAY AS IT pulling down your Good delivery and honest drivers

    I had a promotion for free Uber One for 4 months to get free delivery. Then at the same time they had promotions going on for a month for buy on get one free at some restaurants, and then they had: spend $25 save 40% up to the first $15. So, I was looking forward to buying a lot for a few months to try it out. I placed an order at Harold's Chicken Shack, and there was a delivery charge of $5.50. Any delivery over $5 is not free with Uber one. Then I saw that there was another location of Harold's Chicken Shack, and this had free delivery, I think, it didn't say if there was a charge for delivery. I had just placed the order and I thought I could cancel and reorder from the other location. I tried to find where to cancel and I clicked on a link that led to a chat with a robot. A lot of text was spewed so fast I couldn't read, then I clicked on Cancel Order, then it said I was just charged $18.50.

    I didn't know there was a big fine for cancelling an order, I didn't see the message, and I was rushing to cancel before the restaurant started the order. I clicked that the problem was not solved, and then waited for a "human" agent for ten minutes. The agent was responding by just clicking on prewritten messages saying he refused to give a refund. I said I would go to my bank and block this charge, and write negative reviews, and I was cancelling my membership. He said he had offered the best possible solution. I said "paying $18 for nothing is the best possible solution?" That didn't make sense and he was gone. Then I clicked on Situation not Resolved again and got another agent and re-explained the situation. He made many of the same prewritten comments, saying the problem was on my end. Then he conferred with his staff. He offered me $1o in Uber Cash. I said that's no good because I'm cancelling.

    Finally after twenty minutes of complaining he gave me the refund. My getting the refund was random chance, it doesn't mean they are nice, they could have gone either way. They think because I clicked by accident my $18 belongs to them. If they had just clicked "refund" from the beginning I would still be a member.

    Now I know never to try to cancel an order once placed, I've learned that lesson, but it's too late because I am done with Uber for good. They ruined my shopping experience. I would never call an Uber, or order from Uber Eats. You might think you are supporting workers by ordering from them, until those workers are replaced by machines, and the customer service can also be replaced by machines, because they don't need humans to click on prewritten messages.

    Uber Eats has to be one of the worst companies on the face of the Earth. What a scam! We ordered two burrito bowls tonight from chipotle and got charge $67.88. When I called into them to question it, they said that they charged an $18 service fee Plus a delivery fee plus the tip on top of the $30 order.     Besides Uber blocking my debit and credit card once I got to Mexico and even then I had horrific experiences trying to get someone who either spoke English or actually wrote something other than a generic response, in May I ordered a pizza. The driver never came to the door & I got charged for a pizza I never got. I have to pay cash because of them blocking my US credit cards and they are an AMERICAN COMPANY, so there was no way to refute the charge via the app! Since May I have wasted tons of my time trying to get someone who has a brain to respond to my messages either on the app or in email & remove the charge. I even had 2 other people try with no luck and then I got my VA to try & she also had the same issues as me, so I had to pay someone to get nowhere. She even reached out on IG and got someone who speaks English and they just pointed her back to the same terrible service she had already experienced.

    Every time I write to them whether in English or Spanish, they just paste "I don't know what you are saying, be more clear." I can see that tons of other people have been scammed by Uber (looks like mainly for rides.) Why isn't anyone doing a class action? Not only do they monopolize the industry, they cause people tons of stress and I'm not even talking about the countless hours I've lost trying to deal with them, look at people who missed their flights, had no way to get back home at 2 am, paid for tolls that never happened and so on. THIS IS TERRIBLE!!! Oh, & I did report them on the BBB & they never responded. Most companies do which should tell you something.

    I've only been driving with Uber Eats for a week or so and I've also worked with Doordash in the past, so I'm very familiar with the routine. However Uber locked my account after a few days and I received a message from Uber stating a customer claimed I was intoxicated with alcohol and under the influence and used threatening behavior while arguing with them, which never ever happened!!! Uber immediately restricted my account-???They never reached out to me to even make me aware of this FALSE accusation nor did anyone call to inform me of this investigation. Not only did they restrict my account but they withheld the money that I already earned for the deliveries made prior to their investigation, which I let them know was illegal, because I've already earned that money and you cannot withhold my funds!

    I called multiple times and spent SEVERAL hours with Uber reps that transferred me over and over and over 7 TIMES. They all kept telling me the next apartment was the best department to help. I began to communicate through the app to ask where these allegations came from??? ALL of my communications with every client are within the app, plus technology timestamps when I start and end a delivery and move on to the next customer, duh! So when did this supposed fake incident happen? I made 10 other deliveries that same day. Everyone tipped and gave me amazing feedback! It's crazy that if someone is racist or they don't like you, they can go right to the app and make up a lie about your character and Uber is one-sided to stand with the customer! They fail MISERABLY to protect their contractors!!!

    Beware if you have an ex that you have to deliver to and they decide to be spiteful. Uber may block your account!.. For the sake of your reputation and the sake of feeling like a respected contractor, I would go with doordash instead or another delivery app. Uber has horrible customer service they don't protect their contractors! They have yet to call me and told me they're fake allegation can take weeks to complete, with my account still being on hold. They allow any client to make false accusations against you and they are one-sided to attack you and restrict your account with no proof of these allegations. I lost so much respect for Uber and I'll be filing complaints to the corporate office and above!

    Uber seems to lie, steal and commit large scale fraud more than they drive people and food to places like they advertise. You again lied. Stole $38 for food that never was delivered to me. Then you lie to my bank and say you delivered for 2 hours late and cold which I never got? I never gave authorization to steal my money for food never delivered.     THIS COMPANY TREATS ITS DRIVERS TERRIBLY, DON'T WORK FOR THEM. Let me start by saying that ordering food from this company is a rip off, for the customer and the driver. The average pay per trip as a driver for Uber Eats is $2 no matter the distance, so any real money is made through tips. Their system will also miscalculate trip earnings and give you trips where the restaurants are closed or the restaurant can't make the food, be careful if you cancel trips too many times. It's YOUR FAULT, whether you call to verify a closed restaurant or not. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE.

    My account was wrongfully deactivated due to "cancelation fraud." It was Christmas eve and their system gave me many trips where the restaurants were closed early, I verified every order over the phone, the next day without warning my account was permanently deactivated. You try to call and you get uneducated, unprofessional, sensitive, morons from the ** that will not help you or give you any reasoning as to why your account is terminated, and then you will be hung up on for "being rude". This company is an obvious rip off and a joke.

    We order two meals from a local Pho restaurant, only one meal was delivered. Contacted the restaurant and they said to contact Uber Eats since the order was placed through them. NO customer service number, only a link on the page for Help, choose your order and tell them what was wrong.... 40 minutes later and still no contact from Uber Eats.     Uber eats puts promotions out for drivers to do. Then doesn't pay out when you complete them. Customer service is very rude.     On a recent trip, I ended up stranded with my son in Puerto Rico. One of my days there, I secured a ride via Uber's app to an Airbnb. The driver app had no problem getting me to the address. The same day and to the same address, I ordered groceries from 2 separate stores using Uber eats. One of the orders was delivered, the other was not. The unsuccessful driver claimed she couldn't find the address, then claimed she delivered to the address I gave. The same address I gave my driver who successfully dropped me off. The same address given to the other Uber eats order that was successfully delivered.

    Uber refuses to acknowledge my concern over my experience and the fact that I was charged for such an experience. Now as further insult to injury, I have been getting email spammed by Uber eats in Spanish since ordering. My preferred language and only language is English. The app is not user-friendly, except for the spending money parts. Finding a way to speak with a customer service agent is nowhere near intuitive. I ended up in an unsuccessful loop trying to resolve my problem. There is no customer support phone line. Now I am in the process of trying to cancel my account, as I no longer wish to be a customer of a business that doesn't care about 5-star customers, and even that is sending me in unsuccessful loops of having to email request closure. I have never experienced such horrendous customer service in my life.

    I'm a long haul trucker, often "captive" of the truck wherever my HOS hours run out. I've had 2 excellent experiences, one marginal, and this latest one was terrible. Uber canceled my order because there were no drivers in the area, they said (their map said there was). I guess that's understandable. What showed no respect for me was that NOBODY TOLD ME! I was left waiting and waiting. I finally called the restaurant and they said my food had been sitting there for almost an hour, and that Uber canceled it 30 minutes ago. Why wouldn't the App at least tell me that? So I unhooked my trailer, risked leaving my load unattended, and drove my tractor into town to pick up my now-cold meal. I got there and they told me that they'd thrown it out and billed Uber. Who billed me and emailed the receipt. They made me another one and I saved $13.

    I FINALLY found the feedback button on the Uber app, chatted with some robotic person. They said they'd not billed me, but I had the receipt. Why no refund receipt?? They asked me if the issue was resolved, I said no. They closed the chat. The problem is not so much they let me down when I was relying on them. They can't control who shows up to work. What bothers me is how they treated me like a sub-human at every turn. No notification of cancelation. Not a peep. A notification they were billing me, but not one saying they'd canceled the charge or refunded it. Finally, an inhuman chat-thing that is programmed just to blow off customers who don't like being treated like they are just a life-support system for a credit card. Uber Eats is a pricey convenience when it works. When it doesn't it's a twisted nightmare of canned replies and zero respect for you as their customer.

    Second time I had a technical issue applying the full portion of my $10 Uber Credit. I tried twice with customer service but did not get refunded the remaining credit balance. The bad experience is from both representatives suddenly ending the chat. They don’t care. They also incorrectly said my credit was not applied due to tipping (the amounts don’t match); that happens often where if you use credit on tipping you can’t on order payment, but was not my issue. They didn’t care that my remaining credit would expire. Uber Eats credit is a scam. Stay away and I value their credit as fraudulent money that one cannot redeem always.

    We waited over 3 hours for an Uber Eats order. As we waited, we kept seeing different drivers assigned to pick it up. But none of them ever showed up. After calling Uber multiple times, we finally called the restaurant and learned that the first driver STOLE our food. A subsequent driver then cancelled our order. Uber never followed up with us and never figured out that the food was stolen. When we called Uber to tell them what happened, the customer service person said that the “drivers do not work for Uber.” That is ridiculous. The drivers represent Uber’s brand and are Uber contractors.

    I ordered twice on Uber Eats, and the first time was terrible...but this last one the driver stole my food. I contacted Customer Service (I screenshot the chat) and was told that I was not "eligible" for a refund. So, the drivers know they can steal food and get away with it. First, I called the driver, who said he was not given the items. So, I contacted the restaurant and the person who answered said that he handed the coffees and food to the driver personally - so the driver not only stole from me...he LIED. And, he did it because he can get away with it. After reading other reviews, this apparently happens a lot. And Uber does nothing about it. It should be illegal for a company to allow its workers to steal.

    I liked Uber Eats until I ran into a problem. On 12/5 I placed an order for a total of $179.30 and received somebody else's food order for $48.98. Difference of 130 dollars. In addition I paid 2.99 for direct delivery which, obviously was not the case since the driver had at least two orders to deliver. I submitted a complaint going through a rather torturous process and have yet to hear back. No answer, no refund. I had a similar problem last year with TryCaviar and in that case the matter was resolved in a couple of hours. The way these big companies like Uber Eats work is hateful.

Uber Eats in Winter Haven, Florida refuses to make refunds or issue credits when they make mistakes on your order and leave items you have paid for out depending on which restaurant you order from.     Uber Eats now do multiple stops when they pick up your food and it’s usually cold. This time driver didn’t turn up and would not respond to messages and calls even though the app showed she arrived…I wait yes outside for a long time (got bitten by mosquitos) and the food just didn’t turn up. Is this a scam on the drivers part so they get to keep the food? Contacted Uber customer service who don’t seem to be bothered and were not apologetic and very mechanical - I won’t use them again and cancelled my Uber one subscription.

    I made an order for groceries. My order did NOT have the paper receipt included. While putting away my groceries I realized three items were missing. Got on their chat feature and after having to talk to three reps I’m told they refunded me for the items. Fast forward the next day. I notice that they had given me a smaller pie than I had ordered but still charged me for the bigger pie. I also noticed that instead of refunding me what they said they would they CHARGED me that amount. I get back on the chat feature and go thru all the issues. Not only did I supply a list of all the issues, I took pics showing the charges on PayPal and my bank account. The rep addressed only part of the issue and when I went to explain that she said “since you didn’t except my offer I will remove it and this chat is over” and closed the chat! I was furious!

    I start a FIFTH chat. I tell them I would like to talk with a manager via phone or email and they tell me this is the only way I can resolve my issue. I had to type out everything again and the rep was still not understanding the issues. Actually I think they were purposely ignoring what I was saying and just using a lot of fluff language. I really feel more and more businesses are doing this kind of thing these days. They hope you don’t notice the overcharges and if you do they will just give you the run around in hopes of wearing the customer down to the point they give up. So sad. What has this world come to. I will not be using this business again. Buyers beware!

    I've had it with Uber Eats and Doordash!!! Been ordering for 4 years, spent thousands on food and FEES and was told I can't get any more refunds!!! What? Ordered from a restaurant, spent $65, of which $15.08 was for upcharges on the price of the food and other fees and .99 delivery. They forgot my bacon and I was charged 3.99 plus tax for it. When I called UE they said they can't give me a refund. What!! I wasn't asking for all, just the item I didn't get. Why not get your money back from the restaurant? How is it that I can pay for food that I didn't receive and be okay with it?

    I talked to several reps and no resolution. Out of the thousands spent they probably only refunded me $100 and you telling me that. I'm not a thief! That's not right. You already overcharge for the food claiming an online convenience fee then you charge us other fees and delivery charges. With that money we could pay for another entree. And it's not like they're giving it to the delivery drivers who are doing the work. How is this legal?

    I will no longer use these platforms! And I will be reporting this to the BBB and seeking an attorney that can file a class action because I know I'm not the only one this is happening to. Can you see how much money the company is pocketing with this scheme. I am also contacting the restaurants I frequently order from and letting them know how this is going to effect them because I will no longer be their customer until they go back to delivering their own food. We have to stop wasting money with those who give us bad service and that treat us like thieves. It's been a convenience but at an unfair cost. Has this happened to any of you? We need to band together to get change. My family have all cancelled and deactivated our accounts. Which they give you many help options but cancelling your account is not one of them.     I ordered food on Saturday, immediately realized I placed it with the wrong location, so canceled it right away. Placed it again with the right location. The first order showed canceled so I assumed I wasn’t paying for that order. I happened to look at my credit card history today Thursday as my balance appeared wrong. I noticed that I was billed for the canceled order, so I reached out to customer support to advise. They apologized and said that there is nothing they can do as it was past 48 hours to dispute.     Not only was the order already scheduled to be delivered 54 minutes from order, but the order was also delayed past the latest time of arrival. 2:20 pm was scheduled, 2:50 pm at the latest. No doubt the food will be cold. Why give a driver more orders than they can handle? I'm watching the map, and this driver is driving all over the map. I guess I'll have to stick with Doordash.

    I used to really like UberEats but they’ve gone downhill.     This is the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life and I'm old so that is saying a lot. I got this first time users coupon in my email for 25.00 off Uber Eats so I decided to try it. I went to the site. Started placing an order and the coupon never showed in the cart. So before placing the order I contacted customer support. They actually argued with me. Asked me to send 2 screen shots because apparently the first 1 with the coupon on it was not good enough. They needed to see all of the email which made no sense. Then once I sent it to them they said they never got the first 1 so I sent both in the same email and they said they never got that. After an hour and a half of going through all of ** BS I told them to forget it. I would order through Grubhub.

    Now this month they sent me another coupon same code so I sent a message to their customer service telling them to stop sending me codes that don't work. Went through all of what happened last time because now apparently now they have some kind of block on my account because got mad last time. Now I am going through it all again with these idiots. It is like they have nothing better to do than to bother people, and give them fake coupons. Now they call me ask me if I have time to talk then hang up on me.

    So because I have had issues with Uber Eats in the past, they denied my refund for an order that took 2 hours to arrive and when it did, the boxes were melted together, the fried pickles were out of the box and at the bottom of the bag, the lids on some of the items were melted and leaked and poured out of the containers. The rep said that according to their policy they could not refund me due to numerous complaints. Well, if my food would arrive as it should there wouldn't be complaints. I told them to provide where the policy is located and the rep would not provide. She just kept sending me the same message over and over to every response I had.

    I asked to deal with a supervisor and they ended the conversation. I'm sure it was because it was an order over $120. They didn't want to lose that money. But as I mentioned it took 2 hours to get our food if not longer. I am so annoyed with Uber Eats and their drivers ruining my food and now they can't reimburse me. This leaves no resolve for issues that arise as a result of incompetence of some of their drivers. They could completely destroy my food now and I couldn't get refunded. That's unacceptable. I am not only putting up reviews in all possible places, I am taking it to my bank. I have pictures of everything along with screenshots of my conversations. They won't get away with this "policy" at least not with me. I haven't had any quality or delivery issues with Doordash. Isn't that funny.

    My wife has been going through surgeries and treatments for breast cancer and several of our friends gave us Uber Eats gift certificates, to help feed my family of 5. EVERY single time I've ordered from Uber Eats, there have been issues... "We can't process your order at this time" or other error messages. Contacting Uber Eats customer service is a joke. I even contacted the restaurants to see if there was anything they could do on their end and they advised that they have continual issues with Uber Eats. At a time when we need no additional stress or frustration in our lives, Uber Eats has certainly contributed its fair share. I cringe now when someone sends us Uber Eats certificates, which is sad to say because it's supposed to be happy gesture, but I know it's going to result in me spending WAY more time than it should, trying to order my family a simple meal. I wish I had the ability to leave a No Star rating, because Uber Eats does not even deserve one star.

    Have had several instances of Uber Eats overcharging, such as charging me twice for a $4 tip. They're hoping customers won't spend the time and energy to dispute small overcharges like this. I'm fed up with Uber Eats by this and am hoping Consumer Affairs will look into this.     Straight up scam, First thing review screen said 10e promo code was applied and amount was 25e, but then 35e was charged to my card. On top of that restaurant changed delivery time from 20 minutes to 2 hours and 10 minutes. While speaking with the support, restaurant called and said they are only starting actual food preparations in an hour and that's why it will take so long, but they are able to cancel the order if it's too much wait. I said yes. Then support said they themselves can cancel it for us but I will be charged. I didn't confirm that obviously. The restaurant never mentioned any charge as they are the ones who offered cancellation. Cancellation went through and instead of paying 25e and having food, I was charged 35e and didn't get any food. In app support suddenly disappeared and only way of contacting Uber is via submitting a ticket which who knows if will be answered. Last time dealing with them!

    Good afternoon. I don't know who else can help me and especially my wife, who last Sunday 18/09/22 requested a meal at the CHINA GOURMET establishment here in the city of Clermont - FL, and we live at Champions Gate - FL. It was requested by the Uber Eats app, and we always ask and with the DELIVERY option, I don't know who changed this option to PICKUP and unfortunately the order didn't come to me. Still to help my wife lost the amount of 50.00 dollars that was debited from her debit card.

    I contacted UBER EATS on SUNDAY trying to understand what happened with the order and especially who changed it from DELIVERY to PICKUP, that neither my wife nor I made this change. Even my wife is 14 weeks pregnant, no I would have to leave my residence to go get it because she didn't have a car, and besides that there is no logic for her to change from DELIVERY to PICKUP. As UBER EATS has been informing me that it does not know who made this change. In addition, my wife paid the TIP amount to be delivered to my residence. So if I were to perform the PICKUP, I wouldn't have this TIP option, but I would be informing the location of the restaurant and not my residence.

    Last Sunday I got in touch with UBER EATS support and to my surprise I was answered by the support service called JHON if that would really be his name. I found it super strange when I informed my wife's phone number he didn't understand and asked to repeat it almost 10 times for him to understand. At that moment I asked him, if he really spoke ENGLISH or another language, because his English is very bad and he doesn't understand the numbers that a simple child understands with only once or at most 2 times repeating, more having to speak practically 10 times. A lot for an UBER EATS employee.

    Then he informed me that he found the order, that he could rest assured that he himself would have started the procedure for refunding the amount of 49.86. Practically 14 cents of difference that uber itself had charged, more would be the refund without any problem. He himself found the error that informed that the CHINA GOURMET restaurant itself had changed DELIVEY to the PICKUP method. Strangest of all was how he would have changed the method without contacting me. To ask if I could perform the PICKUP just changing. Even the UBER EATS attendant said to rest assured that the refund would be made within 24 hours.

    Monday passed and no refund, just a few words from UBER EATS informing that my wife would not have any refund and would be like this, solving my wife would be losing the value of the 50.00 dollars that was debited from her card on Sunday and without any refund change. I practically found out today from my wife that she had lost her 50dollars from UBER EATS. That they wouldn't refund any money and she would be sucking her fingers and no food and worse still no form of compensation from UBER for her.

    Then I picked it up and called the UBER EATS center again, which is the phone number 8332753287. Same phone as the Sunday service called JHON, and today I was answered by the service called ALEXA, at the beginning of the conversation this answer asked me for my wife's data, including the last 4 digits of the card used for the order. Soon after, this attendant asked me who changed it to PICKUP because here in the system this option is activated. I informed that on my part or my wife I had not made this change. Soon after she just kept talking to me saying sorry. But after almost 20 minutes of talking and almost 5 minutes of just talking I REALLY SORRY. I was practically pissed off and asked the famous question.

    SO MY WIFE LOST THE 50 DOLLARS YOU "UBER EATS" DEBITED FROM HER CARD, WHICH NO WORD APOLOGY WILL REFUND. Mainly pregnant and wanting to eat the food of this restaurant called CHINA GOURMET, and for me it is a very crooked restaurant that loves to change the way of delivery to keep the customer's money. To help or please call the customer who ordered the food and ask if he could change the form from DELIVERY to PICKUP. Going back to this ALEXA service, after asking if my wife lost the money and that no word she said would make up for what my wife could even more nervous and the chance of losing my son. This attendant called ALEXA, which for me is not a person of respect and especially shouldn't be in this customer service job. Simple she picked up and hung up the call for almost 30 minutes. And now I asked myself... How my wife got in this situation. She will really be in the wrong. $50.

    I just started working for this company delivering orders and already had my account deactivated. It hasn't even been a week so I was still learning the ropes trying to figure things out because it was confusing. I had to cancel some orders because addresses kept disappearing and saying next order. I had no idea what was going on. Again I am new to this so the only thing I could do was cancel because I do no address. I had to get a pass to get on base in thought because I was a Dasher. I didn't need one until I was told I did. Right while I was in the process of getting the pass my account got deactivated.

    I'm stuck with food I didn't want or need because the stores will not take back food due to Covid and other stuff I'm sure. Customers were refunded and if made no tip on the orders that were canceled so I just wasted gas that your all don't pay for. Again I am new to this and have to learn. That's messed up to do people that way who are just trying to make a honest living. Not everyone is a scammer or fraud maybe trying helping or sending a warning first even twice because firing people. It's bad enough you take from the tips so what we should make we don't because y'all take fees from the tips we make.

    I went through all the process passing a background check, proof of car insurance, everything y'all asked me to so I did and you go and do this all because I was confused and trying to learn. Why not just help me instead. I would never recommend your company to anyone and if suggest that everyone go look for better ways to make money because this is not it. They are unfair, unprofessional and cold.

    This company is uncooperative and untrustworthy. They sent the same order twice to a restaurant. The restaurant was smart enough to see that it was a duplicate, so they fulfilled one of the order. Uber Eats has given me a run-around for 6 months, continually "escalating" and "researching" it, requesting multiple emails and the story time and time again. Only to deny our request for the refund. They are making money off doing nothing but screwing up. Stay away, use another delivery service or do yourself a favor and just go get your own food. Don't trust them to give a care in the world.

    I ordered from Uber EATS and my food was not delivered. It was picked up at the restaurant but not delivered. I contacted Uber and they credited my account the full amount I paid - at first. A few hours later I received an email stating I was being charged $3. For what - who knows. I figured out how to connect with someone (this is difficult as there are no direct contact links on their site) and the first person with whom I chatted basically hung up on me. I stayed on and got another rep - who eventually gave me $3 in Uber credit... So - for not receiving delivery, spending an hour on chat I was charged $3 and then give a measly $3 in Uber credit so I would be forced to use their services again. DO NOT USE UBEREATS - they do not take care of their customers and there are so many other services out there that are customer focused. Shame on Uber.

    Hello, I ordered $80 of food from Firebirds Wood Fire Grill and I did not receive my order. When got my bag I immediately reached out to the support line, when I entered missing/wrong order and sent a picture it says I am ineligible for a refund. I then called and a very rude agent told me I was not eligible for a refund either. When I asked for a supervisor she hung up on me. I called again and spoke with another female agent that told me I was not eligible because I have a high frequency of credits on my account.

    I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said she was giving the same information her supervisor would and hung up on me. I have received 2 partial refunds on previous orders because the orders were either incorrect or missing items. How is that my fault? I called in and spoke with a young lady named Chelsea and she tried to help but advised it was a block in the system and it could not be overridden. She said she would escalate the matter and I would hear from a supervisor in the morning. It is unfair to have paid $80 and not received my order. This is a classic case of theft and/or paying for services not rendered.

    I should have taken the hint not to have anything to do with Uber after 2 of my credit cards were compromised with dozens of fraudulent Uber charges a year ago before I discovered them and reported the fraud. I started using Uber Eats for the last 8 months and apart from the usual food coming stone cold most of the time, there has been only a few occasions where the order never made it, or the bag was dropped spilling the contents into a mess in the bag. But this last debacle takes the cake.

    About a month ago a charge for $12.67 started popping up on the app every time I would place an order asking me to pay it since the charge for the order was not completed because of "insufficient funds" whatever that means. I don't know how you can complete an order without the payment going through but apparently there is a way. I was still allowed to complete an order despite this erroneous outstanding amount. I tried for 3 weeks to get through to their support chat with no luck. Either I abandoned the wait after 30 minutes or it timed out and kicked me off. When I tried to place an order yesterday, it would not let me complete the order until this amount was paid. Trying again I was finally I was able to communicate through email and complained about the charge and that I didn't recognize it.

    Let me say their customer support is horrendously crappy. The first response I got was that they looked at it and it was a valid charge for an order I supposedly placed. With several more back and forths disputing this, I asked for the date and vendor that this charge was for and finally they gave me the vendor’s name but not the date of the charge. I again reiterated I did not recognize either the vendor or the charge. I know this because I only order from a few restaurants and no one else. They replied the charge was valid and it had to be paid. I then went and reviewed my order history going back all the way to the first day I started using Uber Eats and there was no order from this vendor or this amount anywhere in the order history. I asked them to explain that, and I got the same stupid response that it was valid and to pay it.

    Their customer service is callous and arbitrary and judging by their responses, it didn't look like they even read any of my complaint. There doesn’t seem to be any escalation protocol at Uber. I deleted the app and moved onto using their competitors. I suspect a hacker has been able to compromise the app to be able to place an order and have it charged to someone else’s account as seemed to be the case with my compromised credit cards a year earlier. I used Uber rides a few times a month earlier then the fraudulent charges started happening after that. I figured I would be protected from fraud by paying with Apple Pay and not giving my credit card number to them but alas hackers still found a way. I can't be sure this is what happened but there is no other explanation.

    I think Uber's security is poor. I thought of just paying it and moving on but given my experience with their horrible customer support and the thought it's likely to happen again, I just deleted the app. At least I won't end up having to pay for this. My opinion is use at your own risk. If you do, I believe it's only a matter of time before you experience what I have. I hate being the victim of fraud but what I hate even more is a company that allows it to happen and refuses to do anything about it.

    My husband ordered from Uber Eats because it showed a promotion that was 40% off up to $15. It applied to our order and showed the price of $28. However after checking our account we were charged the full price. After reaching out to customer support Laiba this is what was said "I can understand your concern, and I really want to make things right for you, but due to certain limitations imposed on my system, therefore, I am unable to make any adjustment to this order. " After I said this was false advertising and I wanted to speak to a manager I was told "We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused by your recent purchase. I am unable to transfer the chat to the supervisor. However, I will be sure to highlight this incident to our managerial team." And the chat was closed.

    I then spoke to another agent named Manuel and was told this "Upon reviewing your order, it seems that the promotion was not applied upon ordering. Due to some account restrictions, I am unable to apply the promotion as a price adjustment for this order. Aside from this, is there anything else I may be able to help you out with?" Which means their system glitched because it showed me that it was applied with the correct adjusted price that I agreed to pay but then it charged me the full price. I am very frustrated at not having this be resolved when it was a system error not a customer error. This should have been rectified by either refunding the full order or refunding the promotion price. To agree to one price and be charged something different is unacceptable.

    I placed a grocery order they put a hold on my bank account for the order total. The person who picked the order out did not get the correct size of some items and so the order was less than the amount they placed the hold for. Three adults later they took the hold amount off my account and not the actual amount of the order. They claim they can't give me my money back because I didn't notify them of the wrong amount in 48 hours. Shouldn't they know what the order amount ended up coming out too.     I have taken multiple screenshots and completely uninstalled Uber Eats app from my android phone. I also made sure to clear both the cache and the storage then reinstalled the application over a dozen times and got the exact same error each time. After I reinstalled and tried to place the order again, the application gave me the same error that I needed to deselect any promotions I had selected. I had 0 promotions selected and could never use any of the promotions I had due to every time I would check out it would act as if I had a 4.99 free delivery promo applied to every order. Yet no promo was applied nor selected in my Promotions tab.

    I am a computer scientist and uber eats has some of the worst technical support teams I have ever encountered. Especially coming from a multi-million dollar company who I have offered numerous screenshots of the glitch only to be told they were working on it and to give them 24 hours. That was about 4 or 5 days ago. I have the same rude answers every time I call and I get absolutely nowhere. UNBELIEVABLE!

    Uber Eats refuses to refund items not delivered but paid for. Their only explanation is that it happened too many times. So, according to Uber Eats, there is a threshold for how many times they abide by the law and return funds for items paid for but not received, or received incorrectly, and then they believe they can just defraud the customer and enjoy unjust enrichment of fees not earned on top of it. Looking forward to the class action lawsuit against this company. Sooo many similar complaints across multiple review sites against Uber Eats. Looks like it is time for the Attorney General to get involved.

    I got an error 404 when attempting to edit a credit card entry. Oops - no testing, just coding? Or is the testing done by the same people who write the code? (Always a bad idea!). Programmers, when calculating a tip, use the subtotal of what is being purchased. Do you pay tips on taxes at a restaurant? Customers should not have to pay tips on fees and taxes; having those buttons for percentages based on items, service fee, delivery fee and taxes constitutes fraud on the customer. IT IS NOT THE CORRECT THING TO DO!

    This entire ethos of paying tips before the service is rendered is just wrong. A tip is NOT required, it is $$ given for GOOD service rendered. If a delivery is dumped on the doorstep spilling the contents of containers then a Tip is not warranted. Ubereats can do it better, but chooses not to do so. I have used it for the first...and last... time. Nuff said!

    I had a scheduled order for Easter lunch between 1.30 and 2pm on April 17. We were waiting for it to arrive, as the app stated that the driver was on his way. Then the driver texted asking for the address. I wondered how can he not have address when I provided it with my order, but somehow he didn't have the street number. I confirmed the address via text and he was 2 min away, texted that he got it. Then all of the sudden the order got canceled without any explanation. I complained to the customer service and I kept getting the same response how sorry they were, that I would get a refund and that I should order through app again!

    This was so shameless and their response to it is even worse.     Uber Eats has cancelled or failed to deliver 33% of all orders I have placed with the service in the last year. This is beyond unacceptable. Not only does Uber Eats fail to deliver, it waits over an hour and a half to inform me of the cancellation, thus prohibiting me from ordering from any other service as all restaurants are closed. I am now going to investigate a class action lawsuit against Uber Eats. It is clear that the Uber Eats service is fraudulent and that it absolutely does not stand behind the (clearly false) advertising claims that food is delivered in a timely and reliable manner.

    FAGE STOLE OUR FOOD: Uber Eats needs to vet their drivers better. A man name FAGE picked up our food and then called us telling us that he was sent to the wrong address. I told him the right address and he told me that he was 20 minutes away. I called his number after 20 minutes and there was no voicemail. I texted and the text came back as being from a landline. 20 minutes after that he cancelled our order. I called the restaurant and they told me that this happens with Uber Eats / Postmates from time to time - that drivers steal the food. I don't know if there is any way to punish drivers like this but I know I will not use Postmates/Uber Eats ever again.

I now only have $4 in Uber cash for an unknown reason and am trying to use it now? I do not seem to be able to apply it to my order. I don't know if Uber cash is just for S&G or if it is something that can actually be used. I contacted them about this in their chat and was told someone would email me shortly but given my past experiences with their customer service I do not actually expect to hear back.

    Uber Eats has turned into a giant scam. Orders never arrive and refunds take ages and are usually wrong making you jump through even more hoops. I haven't had a correct order last 4x times. I give up.

    Three times in last two days they cancel my order without a reason why, like 20 minutes after being placed. Their stupid bogo promotions are trash food, probably what would otherwise be thrown away. They were great for a while but they suck now.

    I ordered the food from the restaurant and the restaurant did the job but as the driver was unprofessional and can't find my address anymore (I ordered with same address lots of times in the past), when I called the driver and asked, "Why you turned around," said that, "You are not allowed to call me, call Uber support," then I talked to support center more than 20 minutes and suddenly we noticed that the driver marked the order completed which was not complete anymore, the interesting point that the support center said that, "The order marked completed. Call the driver again" and I was really confused and asked the support center to cancel my order ASAP, finally after lots of back and forth I did not receive my order and the ordered canceled.

    We ordered dinner at 7:40 pm. The driver said she would be there to pick it up at 8:15 and to us by 8:30. An hour later she still hasn't moved and kept delaying her pick-up time. We ended up canceling our order cause we didn't want cold food. Thanks for nothing Uber Eats.

    Placed order to White Castle and food was delivered in a soggy paper bag. Outside was a bag tied in knots. Food was gross, cold, soggy, half cooked. Absolutely no help from Uber Eats at all in resolving the matter. Out $30 cause it all went in the garbage.

    On Monday evening of February 28, I ordered and paid for two burgers. This order should have arrived at 9 pm. Instead, I received a phone from the courier who didn't speak a word of German (which is the local language in Zurich (Switzerland)) and immediately asked me if I spoke Italian as well. So I dug out my few words of Italian.

    During the phone call it turned out that he was waiting at a wrong address. I gave my address correctly when I placed the order. I never gave the address where the courier was waiting.He called again a little later. I answered his phone calls and gave him my address several times on the phone. Further, I sent him my address via Uber App, as well as tried to send him my address via SMS.

    Since he spoke Italian and no German, he did not understand my address. This despite the fact that I told him my address several times in Italian. Thus, I did everything in my power to give him my address. Later I was informed that the order is considered completed. I complained as I did neither receive the burgers I ordered nor a refund. Unfortunately, I do not receive a refund, which I can not understand.

    UberEats has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They continue to mess up their deliver orders; I constantly receive the wrong order. I have photos to prove that the order was not mine. When I speak with their agents over chat, they provide automated messages saying that they're "looking into a resolution". I went through two "chat agents" since they abruptly cancel chats without a resolution, and the third agent that I try to get in touch with cancels the chat before even trying to help.

    They refuse to provide me with a refund, because they say that I've complained about too many orders when in fact it's THEIR FAULT for not checking to ensure that the correct order is delivered. I finally had to call them directly to complain in order to get a refund. I want nothing to do with Uber at this time, and will be changing both deliver and transportation services. Never doing business with UberEats again.

    I ordered Wendys through Uber Eats last night, $82 order. Only got half the order 8 out of 16 items. Driver didn't knock, left on porch. Customer service was nonexistent and rude. Refunded $24 and a $5 Uber Eats cash. Still had no food. This is the 3rd strike with them, will never use again. Everyone from driver to customer service was totally unprofessional. Why should I pay delivery and tip when I didn't receive most of my order. Then customer service texted me 9 times until almost 2am asking me to rate my customer service experience. Absolutely ridiculous.

    I ordered from Hibachi and Wings in Chattanooga. I forgot to adjust an order and clicked back before it processed. It said either items were already removed. So I ordered the correct thing. Yes, I made the mistake of accidentally ordering something but before it went through I went back. When my food was delivered. They had given me 2 orders. One I cancelled and the one I ordered. Got charged for the one I cancelled. It literally said, "items have been removed." I get in touch with support and they said since I got my food they can't do anything about it. What total bull crap. When it says the items were removed. What is one to expect? Except, the items were removed. I don't know they were bringing the food I stopped ordering. This company is full of crap. I will not use them again and warn others about using it. They don't want to help and could care less about your opinion. Use another company.

    I was overcharged on the tip they made… I was overcharged on the tip, they made up a number higher than I gave and they refused to help me. I didn’t get information until an hour later. They said it’s too late to make any changes. I am furious.

    I recently ordered a pizza to be delivered for my brother who is recovering from surgery. Once the order was complete and delivered, I received a receipt in my email stating the amount charged. However, when I checked our bank account a separate additional charge was charged to our account one hour later. This additional charge was not authorized by me and there was no correspondence from Uber asking for my authorization or saying the charge was made. These are deceptive business practices. When asking them about the charge, the only thing they could do was give me an Uber credit, which I don't want because I'll never use them again.

    I will never go through Uber Eats again. They have screwed me. First I ordered food. My total with tip was around $28 and I was charged almost $43. I was paying $9.99 so I wouldn't be charged delivery when I ordered from certain places. They still charged me partial delivery fee when it said it was $0 delivery fee. My rent check almost bounced because they took too much money out. I canceled my account with them so I wouldn't be charged $9.99 again by them. They just charged me again this month. You can't call and talk to a human being. I have sent like 20 text and emails to them to try to get a refund and have not gotten one. It looks like I'm going to have to cancel my bank account and open a new one so they stop taking money out. They will steal from you.

    My suggestion, use DoorDash or Grubhub. Uber Eats is not worth the trouble and aggravation when they deliver the wrong food, or the order is incomplete or it shows up late and cold. They are not worth the trouble to call and wait 15 or 20 minutes to get a rep on the phone to say, "I’ll refund the order but you have to reorder it if you want it." Plus giving you a coupon for $5.00 off your next purchase. They are not worth the trouble when there is other competition out there that is doing it better than Uber Eats. So my suggestion is use another company.

    Food was delivered cold and Uber Eats say they can’t do anything about that. $30.00 down the drain. I won’t order through Uber Eats again for me to receive cold food and reheat it, I couldn’t enjoy the meal. When we pay for services it should be provided as it should be.

    I have ordered a lot from Uber eats but recently they have changed their policies that is anti customer service. First let me let you know my last to delivers took 1 hour and 45 minutes. I worked for Pizzahut in college and we prided ourselves to get delivery to you in thirty min but if it was a hour we would discount your food. I find all the deliver service are take over a hour. Second, uber is now charging a extra fee if they don't have enough driver. So now you pay more to get cold food. I am surprised know gas called the health department. I know the temp we are getting our food at are below safety standards, Uber likes to charge a additional fee to be prioritized which cause more of a issue with getting your food on time. I worked for pizzahut for many years and we never charged these outrageous service fees and what's more amazing the delivery apps are double dipping charging the restaurant and the customer and expect tips over the top.

    I’m not a person who complains a lot. And trust me when I say I’ve given them a lot of chances. But it seems like something is always wrong with the service and/or food. Either they can’t find my address, and honestly my address is easy to find, or items are missing, or the food is cold and/or unappetizing. And any time I’ve turned to Uber Eats for support, they just conveniently aren’t available. This time I paid for items I didn’t even receive because “no refund is available.” I tried to connect to the delivery driver and he simply didn’t pick up. So I’m stuck paying for things I can’t even eat, because I didn’t get them.

    Also one driver was even just too lazy to walk up the 14 stairs to my apartment, and because I couldn’t come downstairs she said she would have to give my delivery to someone else, meanwhile she was sitting right under my window in her car, but lied to me, saying she was on a bicycle. She ended up bringing my order up, but what was the point of that? I did my research and turns out drivers who don’t have insurance and current registration often claim they’re using a bicycle. I guess that’s their issue but don’t sit right outside my window in your Honda Accord and tell me you’re on a bicycle. I’ll be deleting my Uber Eats account after this because there have just been too many issues.

    Worst customer service! Every time I have tried to use this service something has gone wrong. I have had missing items that they refuse to refund me for. Also, the drivers don't follow instructions. I always ask for the order to be delivered directly to me and instead they leave it at the door. The last driver didn't even ring the bell or knock so I was unaware my food was delivered. It sat in the freezing cold. Uber did nothing for me to rectify the situation.

    This is the worst customer support I have ever dealt with. I have guys working out of town and do not have transportation to go get food so I have them use Uber Eats business but that was a huge mistake. To start off with they delivered the food to wrong address when there was very specific directions I left for them. Took me over an hour to get in contact with someone and then when I finally did they would not help my guys get any food, said they would refund but that’s it. Now keep in mind this is after 9 pm, they are starving working in the freezing cold all day. So they get no help from customer support, tell them to order again so they did and 20 minutes after ordering again this is after 11, get email saying they can’t deliver food, try again somewhere else and customer service still won’t help. I’m very disappointed in this company and will never recommend to anyone. In fact I’ll do the opposite and tell everyone what a piece of crap company it is

    First, let me just say that this is by far the first time I have made a complaint about a driver bringing an order to my home. But, I guess, it happens. I placed an order from Oceanway Liquors, here in Jacksonville, FL, for a bottle of Red wine. Specifically, the wine was Barefoot Cellars Sweet Red Blend, 1.5L red wine (10.5% ABV) $12.99. The total of the order was $21.00. I ordered it December 13, 2021 around 4:30 pm. Order ID #**. I ordered it for my sister who is 44 years old, born 1977. Additionally, I placed other separate orders of food for the home. We are family, so payment is often made either by me, my sister, or my mother. In this case, it was my mother. I added my sister's name as the wine was for her. I was told she only needed to show ID to verify herself and her age.

    When Betty, our delivery driver showed up around 5pm, she was right away unprofessional in manner and tone (i.e short, curt, and spoke as if speaking to a child). It appeared she was only looking for a way NOT to deliver the order. My sister had been informed her ID would be needed. She works at home, so was just ending her shift at 5pm as well. She gave my mother her ID to present at the door just in case, and was literally stationed across the room from the front door. Right after Betty started engaging with my mother, my sister's shift ended and she was asked to come to the door. The driver started mummering and backing away as my sister was halfway to the door, stating that the ID was expired. The delivery driver turned and was headed off the side of the porch, down the steps, and to her car, before my sister even made it to the door.

    My mother tried to wave her down, because if an expired ID prevents my 44 year old sister from being legal age, it was my mother's payment of the item that should have made her become legal again. My mother is 68 years old, born 1953. In other words, it was pretty obvious they were of legal age. Instead, Betty got in her car and returned the bottle of wine to the store. The order was cancelled. This senseless act caused a restocking fee of $15!!!

    As she was returning to the store, I called to ask why didn't she check with my mother as well, if there was an issue? She did not respond. The lack of response was monumental. Of course, the item was reordered AND delivered. New driver confirmed to my mother and sister that age and physical identity is what is verified. Not, if a license expires and a person hasn't driven in a while. God bless anyone who is 80 years old, with an expired license, haven't driven in 20 years, wants wine, and runs into Betty as their delivery driver.

    In any case, today starts my sister's weekend off from work, so I'm glad she will be able to relax with a glass of wine. The absence of common sense and professionalism and the resulting damage it caused financially is utterly ridiculous. I respect those who take the time to pick up our orders and bring them to us. Please, don't get me wrong. However, there are just some drivers who empower themselves beyond reason. They think they are being superheroes, when in actuality they've only placed their underwear over their heads and an aluminum wand in their hands. Please be mindful and use common sense with these things. These are real people with real lives. Be a real hero to your customer, not a laughing stock to a pair of people who are of very mature ages.
