Wells Fargo is a good bank but lately I've been having some bad issues and it could be me but quote me if it's just me...ok I play this game called funzpoints and it seems every time I purchase money to play, Wells Fargo keep putting my account in negative or I owe money back that's been already taken out my account... so just because it says pending and the money has been removed out of my account doesn't mean I own the Money back, right? It seems that Wells Fargo makes me be in negative, so now I'm puzzled on what's going on. I shouldn't owe anything back to my own money that was taken out at that moment. I do not have over-draft protection and I only spend what's in my account... So now I'm very frustrated behind my hard-earned money... I'm tired of going through these changes and not making sense crap... please someone explain it to me, I need answers.

Wells Fargo allows you to transfer money from any bank to a CD online, but when it matures they will not even transfer it to your own account within Wells Fargo citing some completely frivolous reason - they will force you to physically go to a branch so they can upsell you stuff you don't need. When I compare my experience with other banks, Wells Fargo business practices is borderline unethical. I have been trying to get my money out for six months by calling them and avoid a visit to a branch and after about a dozen calls, I gave up and had to go to a branch to get my money. What an awful experience to say the least. Now I see why they have such bad reviews online. A common theme across reviews in the reviews is ineptness and parasitic behavior.

I am finding out nearly impossible to pay off my loan. WF send small amounts of money to your bank, which you then have to remember to look for or they literally lock you out of using that bank to make payments to the loan. It requires redirection through three departments, with long involved discussions before being forwarded to the next) in order to get to the type of loan I have which was for flooring. Never again will I ever get a loan that involves Wells Fargo Bank. Highly do not recommend you go this route.

I have account with Wells Fargo since 2007. When I opened the account I had green card. Couple of days ago (Friday evening) my father went to deposit money to our shared account and they told him that if I won't update my citizenship status, they might suspend our account. I went to the closest branch at 5 pm. I was told that I need to bring my passport to update my status. Since it was end of the day, they told me to bring it next week. Today, I tried to send some money from my account and I realized they blocked my account!! I contacted their agent and they told me they cannot unblock my account until I go to their branch in person! I am an employee and all of my payments go through my Wells Fargo account. It is very disrespectful and not acceptable to do so from them. I want to fill a complains against them if possible.

Unfortunately, since there are three members of an account, they only notify one of them to update their ID. The ID holder, our son, already has his accounts at Chase and does not use WF, but he is still with us. Well, they only notify him, he does not receive it, and they do not notify the others. Without further ado, they blocked Checking and Saving, more than two weeks without making transactions, total failure of SUNPASS, DIRECT DEPOSIT, NETFLIX, PRIME, CREDIT CARDs PAYMENT, SOFTWARE (Microsoft, Antivirus, VPN...) and so on. Total lack of customer orientation, poor quality of service, in short, business mediocrity.

I have been a customer at the Wells Fargo branch in Enterprise, Alabama for the last several years. The initial service was good and the branch itself is nicely appointed. The service since we joined has deteriorated badly to the point where the attitude from the staff borders on inexplicable hostility. The atmosphere around the bank has also deteriorated to the point where personal safety is a legitimate concern. The branch management seems oblivious to the obviously hostile environment for their customers. I am actively looking for a better choice in our area. Wells Fargo is no longer a viable option.

It was November 18th, about 12 pm. There were no customers in line, I went in to close an account. There were two people standing inside the working area: the teller Marilyn and the branch operator Fercisco **. The banker Shushia ** was with a customer in her cubical. From the waiting area I could see that her computer was turned off, which meant that in a couple of minutes her conversation would end and I would be able to get help. I was wrong!!! She saw that I was waiting and continued talking to the gentleman in her office about the weather and the bad economy in America. The teller Marilyn approached me with only one question: did I have an appointment. I said: "No, I don't have one." She offered me to make an appointment for another day. I asked why not today, there are no other clients here, and my issue will be resolved in just 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile, banker Shushia ** finished her conversation with the gentleman, picked up her bag and headed for the branch exit. I only managed to say: "Can I..." She rudely cut me off with the words: "I'm in a hurry for lunch." When I asked to give me her business card with her name, the answer was: "We don't have a business cards, make an appointment." When I asked to call the manager or whoever is responsible for this, the answer was one - make an appointment. I said that I will wait untill someone will be able to help me. I still was in the branch when banker Avakyan came back, but when she seen me there, she turned around and again left the office. I had no choice but to go to another WF branch, which is located in this area. There without any appointment my problem was solved in 10 min.

I have been banking with Wells Fargo for probably ten years. Wells Fargo has to be one of the most corrupt banks you could choose from. They have been caught for reordering the checks that clear your account for their benefit and profit in the past. They now have the Extra Day Grace Period to attract new customers but this can also be manipulated. If you deposit the funds needed to make your account good, they will come up with another reason to charge the fee. Or how about when they make a mistake on your account and decide to half the fee with you? They will return half of your own money back to you! How does that feel? A twisted robbery. Avoid this bank. There are too many better options out there that have no fees, no overdraft charges.

I received a refund from 2016 recently that they had made a wrong decision on a claim I tried to make. Auditors made them replace the money. They don’t do the right thing unless they are forced to legally. Do your homework and avoid them. I have two business accounts and my personal. One business account has been removed. Currently removing my personal and then I will only have one more to move out. ❤️

I would give them -5 stars. I started my entire process with Wells Fargo June 2023. I was trying to get a change of address done from my parents' address to mine. After filling out all the paperwork and faxing in power of attorney, it wasn't done. My father passed in 2017 leaving the stocks to my mother. In Oct 2023 when she passed I was still working on change of address and now moving stocks into the trust account. Calling numerous times, being passed from person to person one would think the company would know how to deal with these kind of things. Oh no! After filling out more paperwork, trips to the bank for certain stamps, death certificates, power of attorney, me as trustee of will, I still couldn't get things done.

Then finally, thought there was light at the end of tunnel, an account in my name was opened up to transfer stock. Come to find out they closed the account because they didn't have all the documents. You mean all the documents I've already sent in! So finally. Yes finally an account in my name was set up. Transferred the stock and immediately cashed it out, had a check sent to me. Soon as the check cleaned I closed out Wells Fargo. I do not want to ever hear anything from them again. In my opinion I would recommend you not give them a dime.

On 9/17 I was contacted by the utility company that they had not received the payment, and I was assessed with a late fee. Following a thorough check as to what happened, I learned from the clerk at the utility company that they just received my payment on 9/18 in an envelope with other checks that were dated 9/3, 9/7 and 9/11. This means my payment did not even go out until on or after 9/11 (AFTER my due date). I contacted Wells Fargo who lied and stated it was sent out as scheduled not to mention was rude and displayed no concern about the incident.

I also made a complaint with ** who simply just took their word and never even spoke to my utility company to verify what happened. I was only wanting to bring this incident to their attention to hopefully avoid this from happening in the future and was not expecting any compensation. I have been with Wells Fargo for many years, but I am closing all my accounts. I will not do business with a company that will blatantly lie and treat their customers with no respect.

One teller said it was doable and if I received any overdraft fees to let her know and she'd waive them. 3 weeks pass and I receive a letter from Wells stating this is not a service they provide and my account was overdrawn almost $300. We highly recommend to visit Wells Fargo Bank and get the best promotions from Mr. Reginal **. We are sure that Mr. ** will very popularly and clearly explain anything you want to know. Also, he will interest you in some financial issues which can help you in the future.

It was just a miracle that we found such a great person. He is a very nice and polite clerk who does his job with a high professional knowledge. In a short time, Mr. ** very kindly explained to us some very important details while opening a Checking account. And only thanks to him, my wife and I opened new Checking accounts in Wells Fargo Bank.

It is a great regret that there are not many people who treat their responsibilities with love and respect, like Mr. ** do. We are strongly convinced that only thanks to the people like Mr. Prasad, companies have tremendous success and prosperity in their business. Without a shadow of a doubt, Mr. ** deserves a raise and promotions in his career. He definitely deserves it. We will be happy to introduce and recommend Mr. Reginal ** to our family members and friends as the best worker in this field. Thank you so much for making the right choice in hiring employees for your business. All the best to you.

I can understand limiting withdrawals But limiting deposits for people who have difficulty with mobility and driving is so frustrating and unfriendly.

Without asking they shut the card down as we were speaking without telling me what they were doing. This card has all my business accounts going through it and they shut it down and refused to turn it back on. Said it was impossible. Now I have to spend hours and hours changing out all my accounts to a new card (100's of accounts that go to this card). Even better, my account doesn't "qualify" for rushing a new card to me. I recently opened a Wells Fargo checking account to take advantage of their $325 bonus offer. The process started smoothly with quick approval, but things quickly went downhill. First, the desktop app was unusable, showing constant "service unavailable" notifications. I switched to the mobile app to deposit a check from my employer, but the system declined it twice, even though I regularly deposit similar checks at my other bank without any issues. After speaking with customer support, they advised me to visit a branch, where the check was finally deposited. Minutes after leaving the branch, I received an email saying my balance was negative, and only part of the deposit would be available after a few days. I called support to ensure I was still eligible for the bonus, but received a vague and unhelpful response.

A few days later, someone from Wells Fargo called to follow up on my negative feedback. They claimed the issues were due to their security system because I was a "new client." However, I've had a Wells Fargo credit card for 6 months, so this reasoning didn’t make much sense. To make matters worse, when I attempted to deposit another check 15 days later, the app prompted me to write "mobile deposit" on the back of the check, which I hadn’t been required to do initially. I then discovered that not only mobile deposits, but even deposits made at branches don't make me eligible for the bonus. It turns out only direct deposits from employers or government agencies qualify, which wasn’t clear at the start. Overall, this experience was frustrating, inconsistent, and poorly communicated. If you're considering this bonus offer, be sure to read all the fine print and be prepared for complications with their app and customer service.

Now I will be pulling this large amount out because basically WF doesn't care about my money or my loyalty. Odd because they're having the promotion in order to get money, not lose it.

I am over this conglomerate doing nothing for me. I have had a personal checking account for over 20 years and opened a business account with them in the past. I have one credit card with Wells Fargo and have good credit. Realizing my interest rate is 29.9% (what??) I called to see if they could lower the rate. Flat out no, sorry. Rep said, "Wells Fargo will offer you a lower rate if they review your account periodically". I've never made a late payment. The balance has never been higher than $1500. I did the same with Discover (the best credit card company ever) and they lowered it instantly, quite a bit.

Another experience in the past with Wells, I went to get information on an old business account, when they tried pulling it up the banker said, "Well looks like you opened an account and closed it the same day". I looked at him like he had two heads. Clearly I didn't do that. It was part of the scam back in the day. HOW do companies do things like this and still remain in business. Not happy. Won't be using this credit card again. Not that Wells gives a CRAP anyway.

I waited in the teller line to be told I would have to wait elsewhere until the tellers were finished with everyone else in line before one could help me. I questioned this but got nowhere with the manager Dwayne. A teller finally came over to attempt to help me. Ms ** took my DL and filled out the notary book that I was required to sign indicating they provided a free notary service to me. She had me sign the document I needed notarized. Only THEN did she look at the document and proceed to tell me she wouldn't notarize it.

First of all, why did I have to get out of the teller line? My transaction didn't take long at all especially compared to the man at a teller window depositing a plastic bag full of money. His transaction took at least ten minutes. Second, why wouldn't one look at the document before proceeding to filling out the notary book and having me sign the document. The whole experience was a waste of time and very frustrating. I relayed the interaction to my husband. Needless to say he was very unhappy. We have been unhappy with and thinking of dumping Wells Fargo for a while now. We are going to move our direct deposit to another bank and close our account. Good riddance Wells Fargo.

When I found a small county store at night around 11:30 PM to get gas, the store accepts physical credit/debit cards and doesn’t accept Apple Pay. So I used Zelle to transfer money from my pay account (Capital One) to the Wells Fargo account and it took nearly 4 hours and 12 minutes to receive, got the funds at 3:42 AM (Got the text message and WF notification).

First I thought it was other bank problem and called my wife to make a Zelle transfer she tried from her Chase account to transfer to my WF account, nothing received and the status showing as funded for her. Also I tried transferring a $1 to my wife’s Chase account from both of my Wells Fargo and Capital One account, the Capital One transaction went through in minutes and from WF doesn’t.

In the Meanwhile, called to WF customer service to sort out and nothing happened with them. My lodging is 3-4 miles from the county store and the nearest gas station is about 19 Miles and called to check them whether they opened or not but none of them answered the call and DTE is around 36 Miles left and I risked, and started driving to the store they’re about to close and got in time and filled up. This is not the first bad experience, it happened 3-4 times with Wells Fargo Zelle transactions. Lesson Learnt: Never Trust Banking Transaction and also need to have cash in hand always…

For whatever reason, I figured that all the coin rolls for quarters must vary, but later found out they are standard. I suffer from a certain neurological autoimmune disease, so I oftentimes am NOT totally aware cognitively of certain things. Anyway, I believe someone else received too much money, and I was a convenient way to make up for that, as the female manager claims it was all balanced at the end of the day. I also think she is the same teller who shorted me, based on my receipt that I have.

She even contacted me via my home phone before I even made a claim, which I found odd. There are cameras, but she told me that transaction is NOT on camera. The cameras are for the bank's protection, not the customer's protection, so there went my $10.00 in quarters. I inadvertently made a $10.00 DONATION to Wells Fargo Bank. A couple of months before that, I received an email that I had insufficient funds, when I did not. Telephone employee was truly an argumentative, irrational man, but his supervisor immediately fixed the error for me. Fortunately, I had proof. Trust nobody!!! My husband passed away 5 years ago. 1st encounter: My daughter and I went into our local branch to enquire about access to the savings account and was told by the banker that if we can prove we are the beneficiary of the deceased we could access the account. No remorse no "Sorry for your lost!"

2nd encounter: We were married and on the joint account together. He had a savings account which transferred money into his savings account. I took his death certificate and all information I was told I needed and was told by the banker (after him being on the phone with beneficiary services for almost an hour) that I would receive a check in the mail in my husband's name and just bring it in and deposit it. After a couple months I went into the same branch and was told that since I could not prove I was the beneficiary I could not receive the money.

3rd encounter: His car loan was with Wells Fargo as well and I still had my bank account with them. I paid the car loan off but never received the title. I called the car loans department to find out it was mailed to our address from 3 years ago. They advised me I would have to go to the title office to obtain a new title. 4th encounter: since then I have puchased a house and WF has the mortgage and I just received a letter in the mail that the estate of my husband was mailed a letter 4 months ago that I should cash. It was mailed to the address that I have not lived at for 5 years. Summary: Obviously this company has not compassion nor does it care about its customers. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK!! I saw an ad on the internet that Wells Fargo was offering a $300 bonus for anyone opening a new checking account. Minimum deposit was $1,000. So, I opened the account online and was approved immediately. I entered the bonus code to receive $300 and entered my credit card for the initial $25 deposit. The next day I wired $5,000 to my new Wells Fargo account (which cleared immediately).

The online instructions said the forms were filled out properly, and I should make an appointment at a local branch to show ID and order checks. Within (2) days, I made the appointment with a loan officer. He said the bank received $5,000 and all he needed were two IDs. Then, I asked about the confirmed $300 bonus as a credit to my account. Incredibly, he said, “You’re not entitled to $300 because you didn’t send the initial deposit by direct debit. You received an email explaining this, and it was in the fine print, so we got you on a technicality – you’ve got to read the fine print.” Meanwhile, I never received such an email, nor was I directed to send funds via direct debit. This was the scam, and the false justification for not crediting the bonus to my account.

I told him this was an unfair trade practice, and a typical trick (loophole) to justify not paying the $300 bonus. Then, I reminded him of the scams and criminal activity Wells Fargo had been charged with over the last several years. For example, the Federal Trade Commission issued a 2021 press release with the headline, “Wells Fargo Agrees to Pay $3 Billion to Resolve Criminal and Civil Investigations into Sales Practices Involving the Opening of Millions of Accounts without Customer Authorization."

Additionally, the BBB in San Francisco (where the company is headquartered) states the following: BBB rating: F (no accreditation with BBB): Reason: Failure to respond to complaint(s) filed against business. Government action(s) against the business. 6,325 complaints over the last 3 years. Customer Reviews Score (1 worst/ 5 best): 1.05. So, defrauding the public is nothing new for this bank. However, they just wanted to wiggle out of paying the $300 bonus with a pathetic, false excuse. True to their reputation, Wells Fargo is still preying on the public with false advertising.

Next, the “manager” came over and sternly directed the loan officer to “close this account immediately and return his deposit!!” She just bullied her way into the conversation in a pompous manner, would not listen to the details of the situation, nor attempt to resolve the matter amicably. This manager is the consummate unprofessional: arrogant, rude, and contemptuous. She needs retraining and a lesson on how to treat customers. In fact, she did not even introduce herself nor offer any reason for closing the account. When I mentioned filing a complaint with the FTC – she just smiled and giggled. This situation was avoidable. In terms of “receipt of funds” – there is no difference between a one-day wire-transfer and a direct deposit. Again, I did not receive instructions that a direct deposit was necessary. This is simply Wells Fargo playing “gotcha.”

Due to the manager’s lack of discernment, she believed it was worth losing a high-net worth client, rather than crediting the $300 bonus. Little did she know that I had a check for $15,000 to deposit that day and was going to speak to the brokerage advisor about investments. This manager is obviously inexperienced, irrational, and woefully impulsive.

Dis. When I arrived home there was an email from the “Wells Fargo Resolution Team.” I called and spoke to a genuinely nice woman who wanted to hear what happened. After I finished speaking, she was outraged and said this is not the way Wells Fargo does business. She assigned a case number to the complaint and told me to expect a call in a few days. So, we’ll what happens next.

But she is sane and not incompetent!

After calling the number provided and answering every question, they denied her online access for fraud. Even though we went in person to verify it was us and even though the transaction was done internally to fund a CD. After hours of appointments and hold time, we said we wanted OUT and give us our money in a certified check. After waiting for 30 minutes in another branch, the lady claimed that branch didn’t have to is capability. And they called the police on us!! What the heck? We had close to a million in the account. Needless to say they lost a big account! Stop treating customers like criminals after they verify their identities and intent in person and through a series of codes!

This bank is the worst bank I have ever used. I highly recommend anyone to never waste their time or energy using this company. I was recently a victim of identity theft and many loads of money was being stolen from my Truist bank account, checking and savings. So I opened up a bank account on Wells Fargo and transferred $400 from my Truist account into my Wells Fargo account. Less than a week later when the money was officially transferred I found out that there was literally only $19-20 dollars left! I am not joking. The craziest part is that I didn't give anyone my information so it definitely had to do with the person that stole my identity. I immediately called Wells Fargo and demanded that I get my money back but they seemed reluctant to do so because they didn't even believe me when I said that my money was stolen. There were payments for Zelle and I have never even used Zelle.

One of the claim people asked me if I use Uber and I said yes, so they were planning on not giving me the money that was spent for multiple expensive Uber trips. Later on they withdrew -380 from my account because they said it was not a legitimate claim. I was absolutely flabbergasted and disgusted. This bank didn't bother to keep my money safe from further fraud and then they had the audacity to not only acknowledge the fact that it was fraud, but then take out all of that money in the amount that they OWED me and say that it was not a "legitimate" claim. Are you freaking kidding me?!

They ended up taking $2,000 out of an ATM using a digital wallet on a type of phone that I don't own. Wells Fargo says they have strong evidence it was me that took the money, but I'm not sure what evidence they have as I have the debit card and can show them where the caller called me, but they refuse to listen. I typically go into the Lavista Rd branch or Druid Hills branch. On this particular day I was near the Branch at Memorial Dr and Rockbridge. I decided to deposit the check. The teller was doing her job, but had to get an approval from a manager. Understandable. But the manager asked me "is this your 1st time cashing this check." I replied, "You tell me if that's my first time cashing that particular check. Look at my history and tell me."

She says, "I like to talk to the customer 1st before going to the History..." Why?... Why keep a history if they are going to insult you and make it sound as if you're fraudulent. I told her it makes no sense... for if she'd looked at my history she would see the history... there'd be no need to say anything to me other than, "Hi Mrs xxx, thank you fir your patience, we appreciate your business and give me my deposit receipt." Wells Fargo is useless to me at this point. I have another bank that I consider my main account...as soon as I get a Day off, I will be closing my account at Wells Fargo and with drawing all of my money...

I dealt with Wells Fargo when my mother with Alzheimer’s needed help with her accounts. My father had passed away and this was following his death when his name needed to be removed from her accounts. We made an appointment and went in and had a representative help us. Mom told him she wanted me on her accounts. We signed papers for a checking account and a savings account. I dealt many times with the bank.

Mom told me at some point she had a safety deposit box. Because her bank was bought by Wells Fargo and she also had an account at her mother’s bank (my grandmother) for an IRA with a better interest rate and that bank had been bought out by another bank she was confused. We went to every bank in town looking for this safety deposit box. We didn’t find it. I had to move my mother in with me in another state. I had several more dealings with Wells fargo when her account was compromised.

After my mother had passed away at the start of the Pandemic it was difficult getting things done. I was told by Wells Fargo that there was another account I was not on. I was flummoxed. Turns out they had a safety deposit box that they did not acknowledge before. It was a mess. Now I cannot access it at all with special paperwork. A trip to the lawyer, payments to lawyers, an airplane ticket and expenses, a payment to Wells Fargo to drill out a lock. They were not help nor are they accommodating. Avoid them.

Wells Fargo from the vice president Tom Murphy to the customer service workers are all liars and can't be trusted to get anything done. Consumers are the ones that make a bank a bank not the workers because without our money they have nothing. We deposited a cashier's check on a Friday and were told it would be available the next day we asked even on a Saturday and was told yes. Well Saturday comes and no funds. Was told Monday morning for sure. Still nothing. Called customer service and they said it was going to be Tuesday. No doubt about it. So Tuesday morning still nothing. There even after the check was verified by 3 different workers, one to be a manager. They even went as far as to say we are going to get it done and to give them 10 to 15 mins and the funds will be available.

This goes on for hours so finally we get a different manager on the phone named Joanne ** who says she's gonna get it done. Give her a few mins and she'll call back. Well she lies and said it's good to go so we check and no funds available so get her on the phone and she says she's gonna go talk to the vice president Tom Murphy so he gets on the phone and says he's taking care of it, not to worry. Well I as you could guess nothing. So we call Joanne back and let her know that Tom Murphy said he was going to take care of it, not to worry. She tells us that he will be the only one that can get it done so we wait. Well no call. Nothing. No funds available. So we call back and speak to Luis who actually says that Tom Murphy is worthless and doesn't get anything done and that Joanne is too.

What's crazy is other employees working with these people are telling customers that they are worthless so how do you get to be a vice president and a manager without doing a job not to mention they all are liars because we called our branch manager and she said a cashier's check takes 2 to 3 business days to be available while customer service is saying one. How do they get these jobs when they don't know the businesses policies especially a vice president lying to customers knowing he can't do anything and basically his own employees say is worthless. Well Fargo is the worst banking institution we have ever used and this is why cash is king. We as consumers need be more aware of these practices by people that shouldn't be in these positions because they are liars and worthless and could care less about us as customers. I am not a member of Wells Fargo bank. I had my identity stolen with a loan taken out in my name that was funneled into a Wells Fargo Bank account. The loan went into default and it took a debt collector to let me know that it happened in the first place. They gave me the bank account and Bank name and I called customer service for Wells Fargo and said that my identity was stolen and that a loan was processed through their Bank under false information and that the loan that was fraudulently taken out with my information is a member of the Wells Fargo Bank and they should put a lock on that account because it's bank fraud. So what Wells Fargo did instead was repeatedly asked about my Wells Fargo bank account being robbed, because they could not grasp on to the concept that I was putting forward, and then their fraud team sent me a packet in the mail about how to protect my Wells Fargo Bank account.

And the most disturbing thing about it is that I am not a member of the Wells Fargo banking community. They got my mailing address from the bank account information of the loan that was taken out through falsified documents in my name and used that information to send me paperwork to my home. I never gave them my address nor did I ever confirm my address with the bank when I was on the phone with customer service. The bank itself chose to do this. They used stolen information to send me documents on their behalf about protecting my identity as they further stole my identity.

Do not secure a business loan with Wells Fargo!!! Wells Fargo as a whole is an awful entity. The bottom of my statement says call this number if you have questions. I call the number, they tell me they can't help and that I have to escalate it to a manager. The manager will call or email me back, that was 3 weeks ago and still no phone call or email. So I call again and they say I have to talk to a banker and Wells Fargo makes me an appointment at the local branch. I show up to the appointment and the guy tells me he can't help me. He proceeds to call the phone number and they again couldn't help me. If you are trying to secure a loan with Wells Fargo or use them in business I highly recommend you go somewhere else. The banker literally said he doesn't have access to my screen because its a business loan. I called again today and was hung up on twice! Wells Fargo as a whole is a joke take your business elsewhere.

After 3 years of using Wells Fargo for my Business Accounts w/ zero overdrafts, negative standing, etc., they sporadically closed my Business Account Checking & Savings over an address verification. The funds in the accounts will be mailed to me (to the address they have on file that isn't "verified" I assume.) What a nightmare! Every time I speak to a banker or customer rep over the phone, they are never on the same page. I have verified that address so many times.

Years ago when I started with Wells Fargo, the customer service was excellent. Getting someone on the phone was super easy and impressive. Now they have the same awful process of having to fight the robot on the phone in order to speak to a person. The customer service is rarely even somewhat polite. I have seen angry/upset customers every single visit recently, and the bankers do not seem to care. If I had stocks with Wells Fargo, I would certainly pull out because that business is on a downslope.

Wells Fargo has disappointed us many times over the years, but recently, they lost our business for good. There was no support or compassion or professionalism in my attempt to get a wire transfer completed that was taken from our account on March 1st. That money still isn't in the hands of our payee. There is no guarantee as to when it will be. They won't cancel it and just put the money back in my account — no, that could take ten days. This was beyond unacceptable. I was told things would be done and then they were not. No effort was made to take care of this matter that was in any way acceptable to the circumstances. Good-bye, Wells Fargo.

They said it could take up to 2 business days to fix this or maybe longer. Honestly what company on planet earth takes 8 yrs to figure out their own banker's mistake and when you go in and fix it they tell you all is good and a week later freeze your account. I have been a Wells Fargo Private Client Services customer for 20 years but the service level has been on a constant slide. Again this year, Wells Fargo is delinquent in issuing 1099s. A few years ago they retained Price Waterhouse to help them improve their tax reporting--instead it gets worse. The IRS due date for reporting 1099 INT, DIV, and B (brokerage) is February 15th--a reporting entity can get a 30 day extension if they need it and Wells Fargo for the last 3 years has always had to file for an extension....

Twice today (February 28, 2024) when transferred to Price Waterhouse I sat on hold for an hour before actually getting a human being--unfortunately the service people are in the Philippines with marginal English skills. Twice I informed them I have a consolidated brokerage account and twice they could not find the account and twice they disconnected me when I asked for a supervisor.

I have been moving my accounts to another brokerage for the last 5 years and will accelerate that process. For the last several years all my Schwab and Fidelity accounts reported their 1099s to me by the IRS deadline of February 15th. Wells Fargo's back office is terrible when it comes to security transfers--they have a secure communication system but it is not reliable. There are other back office problems at Wells Fargo when they handle trusts for seniors and the senior dies--incompetence everywhere.

I responded to a forum asking about Wells Fargo Managed Investment accounts… I had no idea how much people HATE Wells Fargo, until recently. I'm the Trustee for a dear friend (for 39 years) who just passed away. He moved from another company to Wells Fargo after his Advisor joined WF 35+ years ago. She was wonderful, but she retired 1.5 years ago. ONE of his investment accounts is a Managed account. First, GOOD LUCK interpreting ANY of their statements and trying to figure out HOW you're being charged. I ran 9 digit budgets in my corporate life, and certainly know my way around a spreadsheet, however, there is NOTHING on any of the statements I printed out BEFORE my friend's death that gives any indication.... There are just numbers that don't add up. $50k reported in ONE place is $49,650 in another, with zero explanation for why there's a difference. At first I assumed it was just a change in the market as things were being sold... then realized I see ZERO place where any FEE is referenced.

I've (made the mistake) of banking with WF for 24+ years and, seeing the sheer number of nightmare posts about them in this forum, and given their handling of my friend's death, I feel like an absolute idiot for remaining loyal to them. My friend THOUGHT he had everything set up so things would be easy for me to handle when he passed. Every time there was ever a snag with WF over the last 10 years, where they made it difficult for me to handle something on his behalf, he would call his Advisor, say "send me whatever I need to sign so this doesn't happen, again," and we'd think we were golden. NOT so. The instant I notified them of his death, they locked me out of EVERY SINGLE ACCOUNT, despite my name being listed ON EVERY ACCOUNT, as Trustee.

They won't send the 1099s for his two IRAs to me, his Trustee, the person responsible for doing his taxes and settling his trust, despite the fact I have written communication FROM THE WELLS FARGO ADVISOR'S OFFICE MANAGER stating, "... he wants you to have full authority over both IRA's, so please sign and return these forms..." Instead, WHERE are they sending the 1099's (with the last four digits of his social security number, account info, and all kinds of good info for identity theft?) TO HIS OLD ADDRESS, TO A HOUSE THEY *KNOW* HAS BEEN SOLD, FLIPPED, AND IS BEING CONVERTED INTO AN AIR BNB!! When I questioned the logic, I was told, "Sorry, it's our new process to prevent Identity Theft..." and they're NOT budging!

I am stunned. They KNOW me, and they KNEW my friend... Between the two of us we have 70 years of experience with them! It counts for NOTHING. "Sorry, your POA's (on the IRA's) ended when he died." Of course they did! Everyone knows that's POAs work... but I'm still the TRUSTEE and have to do his taxes... "Sorry... I know it makes no sense, but, "per Legal," we can't change the address on the account to your address (despite the fact he lived with us for a year, and temporarily changed his address to MY address during that time!)” SO... I have to HOPE the USPS catches the forwarding address, and PRAY the envelope doesn't say "Do not forward?!" to get his year end statements and 1099’s?!

INSANITY. All the OTHER investment accounts? If I didn't KNOW they existed before he died, I'd have NO WAY of knowing they exist NOW... because all access to any/all his information has been locked down, again, DESPITE MY NAME BEING ON THE ACCOUNTS. The Office Manager's reply? "Was your social security number on the accounts?" I replied that I couldn't tell them if it was or wasn't -- I just kept filling out form after form over the years --so there would be no issue with handling his affairs.

I told the Advisor it was illogical that he would only give me carte blanche authority over EVERYTHING while he was living (and I guarded his assets like a hawk on his behalf), going out of his way to rectify every snag that came up, only to have it all RESCINDED UPON HIS DEATH?! "Well, if your social security number was on the accounts, you'd've been having to pay taxes on them all this time..." Uh... okay. SO WHY DIDN'T YOU *TELL* MY FRIEND, WHO TRUSTED YOU, WHAT HE NEEDED TO DO TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT HE KEPT ASKING FOR?!

I used to just do a simple download of all his accounts at year end, save them into excel, and sort them to itemize his taxes… Now? On those accounts they WILL give me access to, they’ll only send PAPER statements… meaning I have to manually key in SEVEN accounts worth of info, including his Wells Fargo Signature Visa! He TRUSTED Wells Fargo to help make sure I had all the tools I needed to help handle both his life and his death. *I* trusted Wells Fargo to do the same. Clearly, BOTH of us were idiots.

Wells Fargo does NOT have customer service. Here is the result of my experience with Wells Fargo Customer service. 3 years ago, Wells Fargo contracted the customer service to the Enterprise Complaints Management office who in turn contracted the independent contractors labeled ECMO to deal with the complaints.

The ECMOs are employees of the Enterprise Complaints Management who are working from the comfort of their home without any supervision and NOT under the Wells Fargo management. To verify my words all you have to do is to ask any ECMO if they can connect you to a supervisor or a manager and the answer will be NO. You cannot complain about an ECMO because they are working independently without supervision or management to complain to.

Those ECMOs customer service working from the comfort of their homes have no connection to Wells Fargo nor to managers or supervisors, they cannot conduct an investigation or provide solutions, all they can do is to provide FAKE apologies and lies. Those ECMOs have the Wells Fargo computers that contain all the customer’s information unsecured in their homes and they take it with them to the restaurants and on their vacation. Anyone who can enter their homes or can get his hand to their computer, will have access to the customer's information, this is why the Wells Fargo accounts fraudulent charges are increasing in the last 3 years. This is an expected result of unsupervised customer service who were given the bank’s computers that contain the customer's information to take with them anywhere they want.

Wells Fargo's computers that contain all the customer's information are scattered throughout the world unsecured, unguarded, unsafe by guards and unsupervised. Some of the ECMOs who answer the complaints sound drunk, asleep or not in a sound mind or unimpaired by mental illness, drugs, when they are dealing with the complaints because they are unsupervised and no one knows if the ECMOs are having are drinking, on drugs, in bed, in restaurant, in a car or in vacation while responding to the complaints. Conclusion: If you have an issue with Wells Fargo you better complain to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and to the Better BusinesS Bureau.

The Estate Department at Wells Fargo has been a nightmare to deal with. They requested the same forms to be sent in several times. Each time we went over the form line by line with a member of the estate department and filled out the form exactly as directed only to have the forms rejected. Each time we were assured that this was all that was needed to close out an account. We have been dealing with this for over 2 years. In December we were told a form sent in and accepted in March had to be resubmitted and was also asked for an additional death certificate. The bank has previously closed several of the deceased accounts and has received a death certificate no less than 4 times.

We have no confidence or any reason to believe what their employees say. The bank needs to train employees. We have spent over 100 hours, once being on the phone for 6 straight hours, to settle this matter. Dealing with the death of a family member is diffucult enough but to be abused by a bank's power to withhold funds is a slap in the face. The deceased had accounts in TD bank, Chase bank and NY, NJ community bank and they posed no problems, 2 visits to each bank settled the matter at hand. If you have money in Well Fargo bank and expect funds to go to your beneficiaries you should take it out and place it in another institution.

Told me a new card was being resent to me as we speak and it would be 7 days. He told me I could go into the bank and write a check to get money and survive until the card arrived. I told him the criminal illegally wiped me out and I have a negative balance. A hot check was illegal. He told me nothing else could be done because the transactions were still pending. I asked why would they allow the transaction to post and give the criminal my money but make me suffer vs. stopping the transaction before posting it. No Answer.

I asked again and he loudly spoke over me; so I loudly spoke over him to ask my question a 3rd time. I know they can reverse a transaction because they instantaneously did for one by the criminal today. He told me I was rude and asked if I wanted his help. I said yes I do, but if you are not going to answer my questions then get me your manager or boss. He again yelled that I spoke over him. I told him I had to speak over him because he would not shut up and answer my questions. I asked to speak to his boss then told me the conversation was over and hung up. I called back and spoke to Mae who read from a script and repeated stated the claim was processed and Fraud is handling it.

The same fraud dept that hung up on me? I’m supposed to trust them? How does an elderly person with medical needs; no means of money or gas or food/water survive while they play thumb wars for 10 days. Again, I was told the claim was processed and they are working on it. So I asked the same question; why would the first guy tell me to go to a bank location and write a check off an account with a negative balance after someone wiped out my account down in Houston? Does Wells Fargo want me in jail? Is this how they treat all customers who call to report fraud? They simply hang up on us instead of helping?

So now I have to wait 10 days with zero money; no food; no gas; no means of survival because the Fraud and customer service groups at Wells Fargo refuse to answer or help me other than tell me to wait it out. If this is how Wells Fargo treats customers, much more a 30 yrs. long time customer such as myself, then I am leaving to go elsewhere.

Tried to deposit a bank check - typed out 5000 - but their own system says "can't read / the amounts don't match" and forced me to bring it to a local branch to deposit. Then when you get to the local branch, there is ONE TELLER open. There's a line out the door of customers. There's plenty of employees working -- even floating around talking to each other behind the counter. When we asked if they could PLEASE OPEN ANOTHER WINDOW - they said if we wanted we could go wait in the drive through if that's faster.

I've banked with them over 20 years, and this is now the norm. Don't even try to go through writing a complaint -- You'll receive a form letter response that says "we're addressing your concern" - but it doesn't even state what concern or what they're doing. But you'll receive a letter every month for a few months. I guess that's how they keep the employees floating around instead of actually opening another window.

Extremely predatory lending practices! Wells Fargo should be outlawed! Had a $16,000 emergency home repair done and instead of using my own bank where I have excellent credit and could have gotten a home loan with very low interest, I fell for the offer from Wells Fargo for a loan, interest free for the first year. Took that out and paid much above the minimum due, religiously every month, knowing that if I did not pay the balance off that first year, interest would, of course, start to accrue the 2nd year.

2nd year comes around and instead of seeing my first interest charge that first month, suddenly my loan balance had increased by $5,000! Learned over a phone call to them that all of the months' interest from the previous year had now been tacked back on my loan as if I had not paid a dime because the loan was set up that way. I had no idea. Apparently in order to have an interest free loan from them, I would have had to pay it all off that first year. They don't tell you that. So now, not only was I paying interest every month the 2nd year (rightfully so), but I was now going to also be charged interest for the 12 months prior.

What really smarts is that I could have had a very low interest loan from my bank, but now I am paying a horrendous percentage each month, AND because another $5,000 has been tacked onto my loan, it will take me even longer to pay them back. What a bunch of crooks!!! I cannot emphasize enough how predatory Wells Fargo is. Found out too late that every year they are sued millions because of their crooked lending practices. I selected the amount to send and received a message stating that my transaction was under review and that I would be contacted shortly with 4 hours. I heard nothing back. I expected to see an email from Wells Fargo stating that my transaction was being processed. This is the very least one would expect. I checked my mail...nothing! I called Wells Fargo and was advised that there was no pending transaction. I explained that I was trying to pay for my Mom's cremation and that the Funeral Services Company has a vetted Wells Fargo account. I also reminded the agent that I have been a loyal customer for a billion years before Wells Fargo was Wells Fargo. The agent apologized and asked that I try again later.

I tried again 2 hours later. I received the same processing message. I called Wells Fargo again. The agent called Wells Fargo's tech support and was told that Wells Fargo could not provide assistance because it's a Zelle issue! I was brought to tears. I just wanted to pay for the cremation and lay my mom to rest. BIG SHAME on Wells Fargo for using a 3rd party vendor! Big Shame on Wells Fargo for not having an interface with their chosen vendor. BIG SHAME on Zelle for their lack of service! DO NOT USE Wells Fargo to send money. My family is already under a lot of stress due to our unexpected loss. I thought it would be no problem considering all the business accounts I had with this bank. Long story short they could not verify me as a person even when the in person tellers called the credit card department. Apparently if you’re in person, they should be able to verify you immediately. However, the credit card department has their own twisted way of doing things. They literally started a case with the executive office of Wells Fargo all for a small credit card. Absolutely ridiculous that they waste resources on such a minuscule thing.

In a nutshell, because I don’t have student loans they rejected me. Very suspicious and shady things going on. They had an issue with my debt free status, wanted bank statements from another bank and wanted my full tax documents. I decided it was time to switch banks and when I went to Chase I didn’t need to provide ridiculous documentation and got approved the same day. Detect these shady activities and leave asap. May 25, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. This was the first time I entered a Wells Fargo branch since 2020. At my visit to branch #72437-20 in Anaheim, CA, I found out that my ATM card was expired, I requested from the employee at the window to order my replacement card. The employee requested help from the BRANCH MANAGER, who, after looking at my account, told me that he cannot order the ATM card from his computer and that in order for me to order a new card, I MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND SIT WITH A BANKER.

He then proceeded to tell me that no appointments are available soon, but he can put me on a waiting list and get me to meet a banker faster than making an appointment. which I found it ODD because I have been with Wells Fargo for more than 35 years. Usually, they want you to sit with a banker to try to convince you to open more accounts that you do not need and to make investments that profit the bankers. I WANT TO KNOW:

1- Why did the manager at the branch tell me that I needed an appointment to sit with a banker just to renew my teller machine card? It must be a hidden reason that benefits the banker.
2- Does this manager think I am stupid to tell me that he cannot renew my card on his computer?
3- How come when I went outside of the branch and called customer service, the customer service crew renewed my card in 30 second phone call?
4- Why does the manager of the branch have no experience and not know how to renew a teller machine card?
5- Is Wells Fargo hiring managers for the branches with no experience similar to the one who just answered my complaint and the one who told me he cannot renew my teller machine card on his computer?

6- Why is Wells Fargo refusing to investigate this possible misconduct?

The ECMO working from the comfort of their home Refused to address my complaint properly and they switch the case from the MANAGER to the window teller which I am not complaining about. Employee, refused to forward my complaint to a manager, and refused to investigate. In the month I've had it I always made payments early to pay off the amounts due in full and keep my usage low. One day my card continually got declined even though my credit limit had not been reached. I called to figure out what was going on and was told that all my previous payments were on hold. Payments as low as $200 were on hold for 10 days. Payments higher than $1,000 we're on hold for 28 days. They told me there was nothing I could do to help expedite the removal of the holds from my account even though both payments accounts were set up through the Wells Fargo secured methods.

One of my payment accounts I verified through the two small transactions that came through my bank account, while the other payment account was set up and instantly verify through Plaid. My card is useless at this point because even if I pay off the current balance it will still be on hold again for another almost 30 days. I plan to pay off the rest of the balance and close the account. I have many different credit cards; Chase, Capital One, and Discover, none of them have ever done anything this asinine or arbitrary.

I recently bought out my 50% business partner. For reference, Chase had no problem changing the beneficial owner information for our bank accounts. However, Wells Fargo requires you to open new accounts if there is a change in ownership of 50% or more. This alone is a tremendous hassle considering the amount of financial activity that needed to be moved over to our new accounts.

When I enrolled the new checking account in Direct Pay, the Fraud Department decided to suspend our online banking for two weeks as a precautionary measure. I found out when our payroll and rent didn't go out as scheduled. Missing payroll right after a rocky buyout didn't go over very well with the employees. Two weeks without online banking has been a nightmare in itself. It is mind-boggling that Wells Fargo had absolutely no way to resolve the issue sooner. The local bank manager thought it was absurd, yet couldn't do anything about it.

Online banking was finally restored today... except that I have to re-enroll all of our accounts in direct pay and wire transfers. Scheduled rent payments for commercial properties... gone! Scheduled VAT payments to numerous countries... gone! Years of direct pay and wire contacts... gone! From a systems level, I can't believe what has happened and I can't risk a repeat every time that their fraud filters find something to be odd.

So we had to take an hour going to a branch to fix it. When the CD closed we needed the funds transferred to her checking account so she could buy a car. We begged the branch to automatically close the CD at the end of the time since we were out of town and her work schedule didn't allow her time to get in to the branch. The branch also is closed Saturdays now.

So now we have spent hours on the phone trying to get it closed. Jennifer the manager at the branch has been trying but the bank's policies are so bad we may never get the money back. I've had so many bad experiences at Wells Fargo, that I finally decided to write a review. As a starting point, many of their so-called branches cannot provide basic banking services. The one I use in the main branch in Santa Fe NM. The tellers can accept deposits and give back cash. Nothing else. No banking services are provided without an appt, and there are generally no "bankers" present to do anything. Their cd rates are among the very worst of any bank. They have one special five month cd with a decent rate, but they roll it into a 3 month cd earning nothing when the initial term expires.

They make it near impossible to stop the automatic renewal. Can't do it online, Can't do it in the branch without a banker appt way in advance, and can't do it on their 800 number. Sounds like another class action waiting to happen? You also quickly discover that you can't close an account because there are no bankers present. Wells is so bad at so many levels that one really has to wonder why it exists at all.

If you get married, need to do a name change on your account, and are not near an actual location you to visit a branch, then you can expect to be asked to print several documents (even with no printer) and mail them in.

Once they receive it, I was told it'll take about two weeks before they contact you for your next steps. Clearly, they are behind the times. I had no trouble anywhere else and I was able to send the needed documents via a secure portal or in the online system. Also, I submitted a complaint about this, and several weeks later I received an email that someone was 'looking into it' and would get back to me. Several weeks later I have yet to hear back and I don't expect to hear from anyone. Needless to say, I do plan on closing my accounts with Wells Fargo as soon as I can. I would not recommend based on my experience.

I had my debit card stolen and subsequent fraudulent transactions in the amount of $242. I filed a claim and they refused to reverse the transaction, and I am now stuck with an overdraw, unable to buy food or gas. I have been told to wait until the claim is resolved even though it is obvious the transactions were fraudulent. I would advise to everyone with a WF to close their accounts ASAP and open a checking account at a bank that doesn't TURN THEIR BACK ON THEIR CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY ARE VICTIMS OF THEFT.

Tey stole my electronics (PS5, 2 computers, 2 phones, iPad) and even a bag with my immigration documents (green card, social, passport from my country) disappeared. At the same time $3500 went missing from my saving account. Wells Fargo closed that account and opened a new one and transferred the amount to the new one and the same day there was 4 Zelle that someone made from that new account so I never received the money. Wells Fargo opened a claim and later on left me in the dark and I found out that they denied the claim without telling me. When I called the representative could not help me and escalated my call to a manager who later on put me on hold for 30 min. Been with that bank for over 10 years and it hurts to know that my hard working money saved over six months is not safe and the bank I trusted does not want to help me.

I was blindsided. Someone hacked my account, took money from me and the bank denied my claim and allowed this to happen stating I "could request a refund" from the person that stole the money. If I could get a refund from someone hacking my online banking account and using Zelle to steal money (I don't even have a Zelle account) I would have done so. I have not "lost a device", did not "give my information to anyone." And yet this person was able to steal most of my money in one day and Wells Fargo didn't think that giving most of my money in $100 increments in one day was weird? And in that same day tried to deposit 2 bogus checks!? They did not notify me until it was too late. Instead they basically said, "well it happened and we know about the scam but you get nothing back." I lost almost all my saving because someone else easily accessed my account without my knowledge and no one even called with concern of fraud.

So Last week I went into the Clearwater East Bay Branch. I was there to collect for payroll. I have been doing this every week for over a year. This time was especially difficult and is leading me to leave this bank forever. First I explained to the teller that I had no interest in using my debit card and put it in the machine inside as if I wanted to do that I would go to the ATM. This is where Yunior ** stepped in and lied to me by saying it is the bank's policy to have me enter my pin. That is a lie and I proceeded to explain that all I needed was two forms of ID and that is all I wanted to do. That is when Yunior decided that he would say that what is the card stolen and that is why I cannot enter my pin. Can you imagaine that a bank employee would call you a criminal in the bank that you do millions in revenue every year calling you a thief.

He even continued to have an attitude as if he had no respect for the banks clients. So here is where it gets even worse. I went into the bank again today and I was helped by another teller and of course no issue with getting my payroll money. As I am standing there I can hear this same Yunior talking to not only another teller but also the bank manager. I had asked to speak with him after my transaction was done. This is where it goes over the top. First the branch manager (Brian) I believe is his name tries to ask if I can wait for him to clean his office. I said that is okay I am letting him know that I will be closing my account. Now get this as I am standing in the middle of the lobby Yunior the same guy from before is in the background staring at me and smirking. Can you believe that? So I ask the manager what they were talking about me and he lies to my face and says they were not talking about me.

Then I say I heard you talking about me and then he tells the truth that they had mentioned the incident from the week before. So I explain to the manager to turn around and look at his very disrespectful employee and he would not do it. So not only is what seems to be the manager teaching his employees to lie is okay but that disrespectful behavior towards their clients is completely fine. i have never experienced this absolutely horrible behavior by an assistant service but also by the manager! The very worst part is as I am leaving this Yunior is still being completely disrespectful. This is a direct reflection of the manager and his style of teaching his employees to speak or act towards a client cannot be tolerated. Guess this is kinda why that other bank went bankrupt that was just in the news maybe.

They didn't start slapping on fees until they got caught in the fake accounts scandal. Now it's $10 a month for checking and $5 for savings SMH. It should not cost people $180 a year just to access their bank accounts. Wells Fargo can easily afford to stop slapping customers with unnecessary fee schemes

Note it was a bank issue with the first check not me. And it was Wells Fargo that released the hold on the first check ….Again not me but WF that gave me access to the money. Today deposited cashier's check to replace the first bad check from the bank…Hold for 8 days….No problem I get it. But then I get an email today they are closing all my accounts due to fraud! I did not do one fraudulent thing, my accounts have been perfect for years. Two banks make mistakes and I get punished. I have been on top of this and working hard to fix their mistakes and they are closing my accounts. Why not fire the person who did not verify fund availability before releasing the first bad bank check? Run from this bank and branch.

I wholeheartedly wish I could rate Wells Fargo negative five stars, but unfortunately I can't, so they get 1. Since opening a checking account more than 7 years ago, I have never necessarily been unhappy banking with Wells Fargo, aside the handfuls of surprise fees they award their customers with quite too often. It's now March 2023 and I can truthfully say that Wells Fargo has made my life a living ** for at least the past 5 months. To better explain the situation, I have been a caretaker for my grandparents for a little over two years now and around 8 months ago took over responsibility to pay their bills when they should be paid and basically manage/monitor their money (so they don't overdraft).

Apparently, in the eyes of wells fargo this is exploitation, and elder abuse, which to me is a serious accusation. They called adult protective services on me because my grandmother, who has dementia, frequently visited the bank to get a new debit card, believing she never had one or that she misplaced hers. This was pretty inconvenient for me considering I would have to wait approximately a week for another card to be mailed to me just so I could pay a bill or buy them things they needed. This is when I began making transfers, with given permission, from my grandparent's account to my account (which is linked to theirs) to take care of the responsibilities I was entrusted to carry out. Although my grandparents have spoken to bankers trying to defend my actions and explain our situation, reassuring them I use their money for THEM not ME, they straight up didn't care.

Luckily, the APS agent assigned to our case of "exploitation" was extremely unbiased about who was in the wrong, and actually listened to us when we explained the misunderstanding the bank had on my transfers. Eventually, the case was closed, however wells fargo was still targeting me. This is the part that throws me for a loop though.. About 3 weeks ago a block was put on my grandparent's account, preventing me, them, or anyone from accessing the money they had available in their account. We visited a branch and couldn't resolve it, learning we had to call customer service just to be transferred to "someone who could fix it" who actually has never answered the phone, nor returned any voicemails we had left. This went on for two weeks. I had to pull a portion of my money out from my investment account just to pay their electric & water bills and buy them something to eat until this was fixed.

Just the other day we were finally able to write a check and cash it, and we pulled every penny out, planning to close the account and bank elsewhere. I'm astonished at the fact that the harm being done was the two week block set on their account, not me trying to take care of the people who raised me to the best of my knowledge and ability. Get your nose out of everyone's business, wells fargo, we deeply regret our relationship with this bank..

Wells Fargo customer service in all their departments is unacceptable. Representatives on the phone give you the wrong information and then you are stuck paying the price for doing what they tell you to do. Try to speak to someone in management and they will not let you. Tell you issue will be resolved in 2 weeks and it is not. Terrible service. All they want is your money. They do not care about human beings.

They won’t even release a portion of my certified check I received from closing on my house for 2 days and the balance is being held for 5 days. This is a certified check.

A new modus operandi is loose in our cities among our people. These criminals use any check found in your office... even in the trash. I have been a victim of fraud through Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Some people who supposedly worked for a loan company sent some bad 4 checks belonging to Bank of America....They put a random signature in my name and sent them to Wells Fargo. The goal was to deposit fictitious money under the pretext that it was a verification system to verify the functionality of the bank and the honesty of the loan applicant.

Once this money is available, the loan applicant must purchase gift cards. In my case, I bought 3 (400, 500 and 350) (three) cards with this money of $2955 deposited. The photos of the cards with the pin numbers were sent to an email address to be converted into real money. Like one kind of money laundering. Wells Fargo accepted the checks without caring that my existing registered signature at the Bank was not even close and accepted the checks. The money became available and I bought the cards as part of a "verification" system. The worst part now, that Wells Fargo has charged all the fraud on my behalf without accepting theirs and has put my account negative for $1666.26.

These criminals used some checks from a clinic in Boston MA, called Delta Dental of Massachusetts... located at 465 Medford St Boston, MA 02129. The Bank that issued the checks was Bank of America 5-13-110. My Wells Fargo bank does not want to discuss their responsibility for accepting checks made out to me with an unknown signature. And today I don't have a penny for gasoline. Any money deposited in my bank will be to cover the money that I owe to the Bank.

Sent everything she asked for to include paying fees that were slightly under $500. The closing company contacted me and was ready for closing, I got email from Tom saying loan was approved. To later have him contact me saying Wells Fargo does not do those type of loans! Now I feel I was taken by Wells Fargo for the fees not to mention the time (months). All levels of customer support including management are all TERRIBLE at their job with even the simply requests such as changing a due date on account. 4 calls to verify if has been moved and after countless hours on the phone and online they still don't have it correct.
