I like that I get my money days before the payday. I like the rewards that you get for using the card at Walmart store. I don't like that place don't take prepaid cards. But other than that is a good card.

I have had no problems with my card. I use it to pay bills, shop online and purchase gas. It keeps track of my purchases so I don't have to. Much better than a checking account. It is easy to use and much safer than carrying around cash. I would highly recommend it.

Overall I really enjoy my card. I like getting my direct deposits early. I love its ease. And I love earning cash back and having the vault to save. The only thing I would change is the ability to set up EFTs to pay rent using the routing and acct. Number. It would save me additional tees each month with my rental agency if I were able to pay that way.

The people at Crookston Walmart are very friendly. I'm always greeted with a smile. The workers are quick to help when they are staffed to do so. My only complaint is I don't usually spend under $50 each time I go, and sometimes I'm there 3 times in a day lol.

Wow.. I've spent half a day on the phone trying to talk to someone with a pulse. What I got was a lot of double talk and manure. So now I have a temporary card that works during a person to person sale. Why, do you ask gentle reader? I guess it's my southern accent that the automated system can't, quite understand. My information is unverifiable (if that's even a word). So I'm stuck with a hunk of plastic that was a good idea at the time. Word to the wise. Don't mess up your information.

The Walmart MoneyCard has truly been great. Easier then dealing with a bank and without the minimum balances. Also direct deposit was super easy to setup and now I no longer have to deal with banks at all, and by setting up the direct deposit it waives my monthly fee making this card The CARD OF ALL CARDS.

Very convenient. Good customer service. Used my card for almost 10 years now and prefer it to a bank. There were some charges I didn't make a few years ago and my money was refunded to me in full. I use it to pay bills and have my paycheck direct deposited on it.

I love the Walmart card I can cash checks at any Walmart have it loaded to my card. I never have overdraft. The app. is super easy to work and I love that I can have a savings too. All the things I need a bank for and I don't have to deal with a bank.

My experience has been good using the direct deposit and paying bills with my Walmart MoneyCard. I also like that you get deals using the card at Walmart. I like the blue color of the card. It's easy to identify the card in my wallet when I am in a hurry. It also has cheap monthly fees...

I’ve been using the Walmart MoneyCard for about 1.5 years now. I had a bad report on my Chex systems profile and wasn’t able to open an account anywhere else. I’m in a much better position financially now but I continue to use the MoneyCard because of it’s convenience and app features. The Walmart “bank” (customer service area) has awesome hours! It’s open late and on the weekends so depositing checks and making withdrawals is easier to do no matter my work schedule. The app provides notifications when my card is used and when my direct deposit hits my account. The “savings vault” incentives me to safe more money. I earn cash back on Walmart purchases. The swipe to see balance option makes it quick to check where I am at after paying bills. Overall I rate the cash app a solid 5/5 stars!

I love my MoneyCard because it is easy to use for food, gas, and other purchases. Some merchants, however, do not accept it as payment such as motels because they say it takes too long for them to receive their payment from the MoneyCard bank.

I really like the card. No overdrafting, many locations, the cash back is small but nice if you forget about it and need a few bucks. My main complaint is the fact that it is not supported by many institutions as far as sending or receiving money such as apps like Venmo and the like. It's act like a bank account. I have direct deposit but I wish it had all the functions of a real bank card.

I tried to rent a car using my Wal-Mart MoneyCard. When arriving to pick up the cat I was informed because it's a prepaid card I could not rent the car. I was charged $76 and never got a car. Customer care tells me I have to wait until July 27 to possibly get my money back. WHAT KIND OF hogwash IS THIS. Then I asked to speak to supervisor and she said she didn't have one. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I WILL WITHDRAW MY MONEY off this card and tell you all Stay away from buying the card. No customer service at all no supervisor and a mistake makes you and your money the Victim. It's a pathetic outfit. Stay away.

I got this card on April 22. I thought all cards at Walmart were the same and you get the personalized one in the mail. My card is no longer working and I have been told I can only use MY money online. The customer service said I only have the non-reloadable temporary card. Aren't all cards temporary until you get the other one?? Extremely upset over this. They can’t even let me have a personalized card so I can have access to my money. Since it says “Walmart Money Card” on the package, how exactly are you supposed to know you can only make online purchases???

Happy with card except for the reload fee. If needing to pay bills online and only have cash I don't feel it to be necessary to charge me to reload my own card. The monthly maintenence fee should cover that cost.

While a traditional banking institution checking account comes with checkbook and notary availability, I almost never use either service enough to justify the service fees. My favorite features of my Walmart MoneyCard are that I get my payroll direct deposited 5 days earlier than with a traditional bank and that I have full control over the card from the Walmart MoneyCard app on my phone. The ability to "Stash" money and make it voluntarily unavailable for access is also a huge plus. I have been using my Walmart MoneyCard for almost a year and plan to be using it for years to come. I really like everything this banking system has to offer. It meets all of my needs and very helpful. I can order stuff offline without a problem. I can upload money really simple as well as get money. My cards accepted most places.

Someone did more than one transaction on my Wal-Mart Debit MoneyCard 2 weeks ago and this transaction took place in Orlando FL. AND I live in San Antonio. I reported it to Green Dot bank and I was told to write a letter disputing the transaction and the location and how much was taken from me. I wrote the letter. This morning I recently a email [Sunday 6-19] saying my dispute has been denied. WHY WHY WHY???? I give details over the phone to Green Dot bank. The same details were written in the letter. What more do you want. They should go and find the person or persons who took my money and ask them to write the details. Green Dot should honor my deputes and please return my money. I work hard to pay my bill on time Just to have some LOW LIFE push some numbers and take my money.
Beware people who use their Debit card with your money. It's a horrible feeling that I went through...Now to wake up to this think am not going to receive my money. I get pay every 2 weeks so I have to manage my money to last me till my next check. Which is sometimes hard.. Since the past two weeks am falling behind on my bills because of this just to find out that I been denied which is wrong. Am the VICTIM. I had nothing to do with these transaction. Green Dot should honor my dispute and return my money-back. That is why I give them one Star. I won't use their cards never again. They shouldn't even get a star????

Have had 4 direct deposits made to my account I opened with Walmart MoneyCard. I was charged the fee for a new card and was told it was mailed out. I am now on day 17 and have not received my card and can't access my money. I called to complain and the only option provided after verifying they have the right address is to cancel this card they say they sent me and I never received, and be CHARGED AGAIN for another card which will be another 7-10 days. The only people who have had access to my account is Walmart MoneyCard or Green Dot Bank. I have 2 cards. WHY CAN'T THEY TRANSFER MY DAMN MONEY to the other card!?? You can't access your money without a card. I am seeking legal help and contacting the Better Business Bureau.

I like the low fees and no overdraft they have. It's easy to uses online and I like the fact that all transactions don't pend for too long and go through quickly. I also like the bonus they gave me when I first signed up.

I love it. It's everything a bank isn't. They do more than most and you get paid early. What's not to love seriously. Not one issue and if I need help the app is easy and guides you to where you need to go. Customer service is flawless.

I will never use or recommend Walmart MoneyCard to anybody. It's been two weeks now since I got the card and used it to pay my credit card for 1000 dollars. The payment was denied and I havent received my money back in the account. Every time I call they say it's still pending. This is very unfair. I have bills to pay. I've been stressed, I cried like I dont know what to do. One day I called and was put on hold for almost 2 hours. I am never ever going to use it again. Biggest mistake I made.

I love my card. Just wish when an ATM said surcharge free that it was actually free. Other than that the card and account are fantastic! I would definitely suggest to many people. I've never had to call customer service for anything which makes it that much better!

Why do I get charge a monthly fee when 3k is being deposited every month? Overall I love my card and the benefits. But to pay $36 a year is a bit much. Love the online features. Money transfers... I don’t like this survey, you are forcing people to write more stuff when there is nothing to state.

I have never had an issue with my Walmart Money Card and utilize it almost daily for purchases. The card is accepted everywhere I typically shop and is much easier and more convenient than carrying cash. The Walmart Money Card is easy to make money transfers and I can make deposits to the card at any Walmart.

I'm happy I can go to any Walmart and add money to my card when needed. Very few prepaid cards that I've experienced have anything close to that availability. The no charges for the account with direct deposit is great too.

Walmart Money Card is extremely easy to use and set up! I love how simple it is to send money to friends and family. As long as you dont have a negative balance on your account you do not need to pay the 5$ a month monthly fee.

Honestly I got the Walmart Moneycard for all of my online purchases and mostly to setup ALL of my bills on an auto-payment schedule! I believe I've had my card for almost 2 years and can report NO PROBLEMS! In comparison to this MoneyCard account I've had 2 regular checking account issues needing to be closed then reopened. I'm just always glad I know I can depend on my MoneyCard because there are never surprise charges or any major issues, so thank you!

In my opinion there should do more fee free ATM networks. There are only 3 near me and are more than 15 miles away from where I reside. It makes it harder to receive cash when other ATMs charge 3.00 and then another 2.00 for a non network ATM.

The card is useful in most places, but would like to be able to use it anywhere. I can't use it to pay my truck payment. I also can't use it at some ATMs. Would like to be able to swipe at the gas tank when getting gas. Please make that possible.

For the most part I am happy with the card. My only issue is the charges for using ATMs. I have hard charges of 6.50 for 1 transaction. Having to get money at the store is not always convenient but I can't afford to use ATM's.

It's been a very good experience! I love my Walmart card I'm able to lock and stash some cash when I don't want to spend. I'm also able to use direct deposit from my workplace. I get paid a day before my actual payday.

Someone used my card unauthorized. I do not even know how they got my credit card number. I never gave it out. So they used my card for about 10 transactions in the same day on Microsoft Xbox for a total of 300+ dollars. I disputed this with Walmart MoneyCard. I called, got a new card, sent an email of the transactions and still I was denied my refund for some unauthorized purchases like I would allow someone to use 300 plus dollars for an Xbox. I loved WalMart MoneyCard until this situation. I feel this is fraud that I cannot get my money back.

I ordered a pair of jeans online using my old closed Walmart MoneyCard account. I still have all information about old account if you need. The jeans did not fit. I returned them by mail. I called the Walmart MoneyCard customer service line and I verified my social and who I was, but they claimed that they couldn't give me my 16-digit code on the front of my card. I don't understand why they couldn't give me the 16-digit number because they should keep all of this information on file. Even Money Network will tell you your 16-digit card number if you needed it. I have never known a Bank to not know your 16 digit number or have it on file. So I asked them if there is somebody else that I could speak with who might have it, and they told me that for security purposes they don't tell you what the 16 digit number is. I would like to speak with corporate or whoever they are under to complain because it doesn't make sense.

I've used this card for 5 or so years and have had some issues but still gave them a chance. I'm sick of calling customer service just for them to keep telling me they're sorry. They need to come up with better ways to make money available to customers if for any reason an issue occur with a card. I shouldn't have to wait 2 weeks to get a new card to be able to access money that I worked hard for. It's my money, why do I have to wait to spend it. We should have access to a place that can give us cash back until a new card is issued and until that becomes available I think I will be canceling my account.

The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is the lack of free ATMS??? The app told me there was one near me but it charged $3.50. Everything else is great, I’ve only experienced one pre-paid card that was better; the Kaiku card. It had many free ATMS, was more attractive and customer service was more accessible. I've been using Walmart MoneyCard and it's convenient. However, there has been some security problems with it that I’ve experienced in the last year that have kinda made me think about keeping away from it more. I had some charges on there that weren’t mine and it seems to take a long time to get it all straightened out. If I was with a bank, I could call and say, “Hey, these charges aren’t mine.” And I should have it where I’m notified that there’s a transaction on my card and get a text message. I live in Minnesota and there was a purchase in California. It was not mine. I called right away and said, “This isn’t my purchase. Could you just shut the card down?” And the rep said there was nothing they could do about it because it was a pending transaction.
It happened twice where I had $800 in there, and it drained my account to zero. And when that happens, then I get a new card, that account’s shut down.It usually takes three to four weeks to have it straightened out. Where with a bank my card would be stopped immediately. Everything’s so automated, but to get to someone right away, it takes quite a while, which gets frustrating. And then I have to mail in a statement for a dispute. It's a long drawn-out process. And these bank cards don’t have a chip. We’re still scanning, swiping, like we haven’t progressed to that kind of technology yet. But other than that, I’m pretty happy with my MoneyCard. I do the direct deposit, so my check from work goes on there. Everyone has a debit. I can use it anywhere and enjoy it.

I had 4 transactions ran on my Walmart money card in the middle of the night sometime March of this year in Bakersfield, Ca. I live in Tempe ARIZONA and when I filed my dispute I was constantly given the runaround about how I need to wait 10 days and then after that they "needed more time to investigate" my dispute and I was told to wait 45 days. It is now June and now they are BARELY telling me my dispute is denied due to the transactions being "valid"...
I have sent them proper documentation showing that my last transaction was ran 2 hours before the ones I am disputing so there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I can travel to Bakersfield,CA From Tempe Az in a matter of 2 hours. I am out over 300 dollars. Every time I ask to speak to corporate or a supervisor I am disconnected. I STRONGLY recommend not using this card if your money has any value to your life. Because if something like this happens they WILL not even attempt to correct the situation. I would give 0 stars if that were an option.

Was happy with this card for years until I needed to make a large purchase. Having my tax refund deposited and want to buy a car that's $5500, but being told I can only withdraw $3000 a month at the bank and $500 a day at the ATM. Kind of ridiculous in my opinion, I'll be switching back to a traditional bank after the week or so of withdrawals to get my money out.

None that I could think of beside it would be better if it has a chip embedded just for the security purposes. It also would be nice if I can use it make all online purchases. For instance, I cannot use it to pay for Uber rides.

I noticed 3 charges on my Walmart MoneyCard and immediately filed a dispute. I filed a police report and sent the case number with the requested information to Green Dot as they requested. The charges were all made in Ohio on the same day for a total of 62.50. 2 of them were for the same amount at a gas station and the other was made at a Dollar General in Columbus Ohio. I have not been to Ohio in over 30 years. I just now received a notice on my online account that the dispute had been denied. I tried to call and the rep said it was still in progress although the notice said it wasn't and the dispute had been closed. This is terrible that they won't take care of these fraudulent charges and I will be looking to close my 2 accounts with them and find something else.

I had my card number duplicated into a physical card by someone who used it in NYC. I had to call the merchant and do the research myself based off limited contact info from WMC. I had to make a written dispute via US Mail since this is the only method they accept. After my dispute that took about 14 plus days to be approved I'm stilling waiting for my funds to be re credited after 1 wk since dispute approval. WMC’s practice is to credit w/in 24 hrs, but I have waited 1 wk now n called 3xs asking for my money only to be told each time, "you'll have it in 24 hrs and we'll make a request for this to be handled." Yet they don’t! I'm ready for legal action! I wouldn’t not recommend this card/service to anyone!!!

I enjoy the Walmart card. My money is always 1 to 2 days early and I have not had no bad experience with the card yet. I'm very happy with my card account. It lets me know when money goes on and when I'm low on my account. I pay my bills, go grocery shopping, get my medicine, gas, etc. Don't have to worry about overdrawing on my account. Thus far I have yet to experience any difficulty when using my card rather I use it over the phone for a payment or swipe it at a store in person. It comes in very handy and allows me to save money. It's been good overall but there are some weeks where my check comes a day later than normal. I don't like having ATM fees or have to go into the store to get cash back. But it's working out good for the most part.

Was use to purchase 2 airline ticket for over 600.00 from Spring Airlines which is in Japan. Clearly I'm in the U.S. I place my dispute in on the 10th of May and it is now the 22nd every time I talk with customer service I get told the this is still pending under review I and could take up to 2weeks. I think that is not fair for them to do because I have been in contact with them since this happen. I've stress that I have bill to pay. I had no money for 2 week.
I feel like Walmart or Green Dot bank is doing some type of fraud because this has happen to lot of people with these cards. It think is would like to contact the news about. Also a lawyer because to see that some people are not receiving their money and or it taken 2 weeks is crazy and that it so many people this is happening to with this Walmart MoneyCard. There has to be a scam with this company or they just don't have better and secure ways to protect people's money that have trusted them with it.
I have been stressed over this. I have cried. I will be closing my account once this issue is resolved. I will be going to a more secure bank this Saturday. I will be taking the direct deposit info with this card off my work banking and will no longer use their services. I will make daily bad review until my issue is fix and hopeful contact a lawyer to take a look at this pattern they have going on.

I purchased gas at a convenient store at the pump like I have done many times before. It has been 10 days and there is still 2 holds on my card that equal $152. When you call customer service they blame the store but the store has cleared the actual charges. It’s even harder to talk to someone you can understand. There is no need to keep a hold on the card when the actual purchases have cleared!

The Walmart MoneyCard kept me from overspending. I had the direct deposit for a little while, so I didn't have to go into the Money store that often. It made it easier because I didn't have to go and add money on it. They opened up a new Walmart near me, and the line went a lot faster than the other Walmart. The only thing that I didn't like about it was there was a lot of red tape when I had to call them. I had to get transferred and the line that I had to call was outsourced.

The Walmart money is the perfect prepaid debit card. No issues at all. If I could change anything... it would be to have card design options! The blue card is kind of dull and boring. Otherwise it's a perfect card! I really love the vault. It's like having a savings account.

I have been using the Walmart MoneyCard for several years. The only issue I have is when I moved they refused to change my address without providing all kinds of documentation. Moving alone is stressful enough without all the hassle. I dont understand why Im not able to update my address on the mobile app or when I log in to the website. It's kind of frustrating. That's the only negative thing I have to say about the moneycard. Other than that I love the mobile app and being able to see my balance & transactions. I love the fact I get my direct deposits early. It helps when your running short on money before payday!

I like getting cash back on Walmart purchases but I'm tired of all the ATM fees. I think $5/month maintenance fee is okay but there is no ATM anywhere where I can withdraw money surcharge free. That adds up each month. It's so unfair. I'm thinking of switching to paper checks and just using cash.

I had 3 transactions double post to my account and when I transferred my vault balance to get money out to pay my credit card payments on the day they are due it made it it made them late and unable to pay my bills on time causing me late fees. I never did the double transactions and I also filed a complaint with the CFPB. Leaving me without money for gas and food due to their billing error.

Cancelled a purchase as soon as the guy ran my card info. Money was taken off my card even though the place said they will not collect the money. Then I call customer service for the card and they tell me it will be 3 weeks before my money is put back on my card. Really? It's my MONEY! As long as the order was cancelled, my money should be put back on it asap. Not wait for 3 weeks to put the money back on my card. As soon as my money is back on my card I am cutting this one up and throwing it in the garbage. Going with a place that is better and that will not wait to put the money back on the card.

By being able to store my money in the money card vault, it's as if I have a totally free saving account which no one can have access to which allows me to pay my bills when I want which avoids the hassle of having my card overdrawn because of some company taking payment at a time I don't have it. Hence, I pay you when I feel like it!!! Other cards not only allow companies to take your last penny, but would also allow them to put you in the negative. With the Walmart money card, I just store it in the vault and no one, absolutely no one has access to my money but me. Plus by saving my money I'm automatically given a chance to win even more money!!? Yeah, I love this card. Oh yeah, and I get my check direct deposited early!!! So while my coworkers are waiting to get paid, I've already started spending my money!

Love the ease of setting up direct deposit of my SSA payments, and the no fee for direct deposit. I can easily follow my account activity online, even on my old netbook. I do not feel like one of the crowd anymore and love not being constantly badgered to take up bank products that I do not need. Somehow my card information was stolen. On the 11th of this month over $3000 was stolen from me and my family leaving us with no money to pay rent or bills. We called the stores and Walmart MoneyCard and locked our card immediately. Reported it stolen. We learned from Kay's jewelry that a man walked into their store located in Florida (we live in Iowa), was caught on camera, used a physical card with a completely different name on it than ours but with our account number on it. Now 10 days later, late fees and bounced payment fees accrued.
We are still awaiting our money returned and the dispute finished. This case should be cut and dry. We even contacted the police in both states. My mother's day was ruined. My husband and I are completely broken up over this. We have been struggling to care for our 5 children with our pocket money this last week. How can it take this long on a case that was so simple. Any other bank would have returned this money immediately. I didn't even know a fake physical copy of my card was a possibility....I think it's time to switch back to a local more reliable bank. The fees may be crazy but worth it for safety and security. The only positive was receiving money early. That's the only reason there is 2 stars.

I had $750 in my acct last night and this morning at 3 AM my acct was down to $520??? Nothing more came out. Pending is 1 charge for restaurant that is double pending for $33 each so that explains $66 missing but where is the rest?? My balance shows $708 but available is $520? I called in at 3 AM, was put on hold with rep. He push hold 3 times. Then just pushed my call back in to queue!!!! I'm still on hold over 2 hrs now!!!! Nothing. This is NOT ok. I think the fee for the card is a little steep. I don't use it very often - just have money direct deposited to it to save and use for bigger things. I think the fee should be based on usage more than anything.

I went to a Walmart Money center to take out a 1000.00 dollars and although the money was available on the card I could not retrieve it from my account. The error was saying, "Debit not available." I went to the ATM and withdrew a hundred dollars without any issues. I call customer service and when I asked why she said she do not see how that could of happened not only in saying it but in seeing it because on her computer the only thing that shows is me taking out the hundred dollars and she said I should be able to make my initial transaction. I asked her, "What did 'debit not available' mean?" She said she did not know. Needless to say I went back in line and waited to only be told the exact thing as before. Code 76. Terrible experience I had today in dealing with trying to access my money.

I can't change my address and my card is expiring. I have been a customer for many years, I have money deposited monthly automatically and am still charged a fee, I was originally told I would not be charged said fee with automatic deposits... Very disappointing. I should not have to call the 800 number if I have an online account (which I do), it's not only annoying that I can't hear or understand the operator half of the time (I'm hearing impaired), but it takes too long to reach someone. May even cut down your labor costs if you allow more self serve options on the website.

Honestly the earlier years of the Walmart card was incredible the customer service was great, reliable and easy to speak to. Now it seems you cannot connect to customer service without mailing in disputes, encounters, or problems and you never seem to get an answer. I have seriously been looking into switching my account due to just those issues which fortunately I have not had many but I still want the reliability backed behind me in case of those emergency. In this day of age I want to know I’m protected. Walmart no longer satisfies my fears of this happening.

My account was used in a foreign country. I had two charges that I did not make. I tried calling customer service several times. When I did sit through the extremely long automated part of the call I had a customer representative that although very nice and understanding I could barely understand. I CANNOT believe Wal-Mart of all companies outsource to foreign countries. But that is beside the point.
After the call ended I was instructed by a robot to send a letter??? Stating all the information that I had just gone over with a rep. wasting more of my time and now costing me more money for postage...Guess what? I haven't heard back from you yet.. Still out the money charged in a foreign country thousands of miles from my hometown where I made purchases nearly at the same time as the false charges. PLUS now I'm also out .60 cents for postage and an hours pay that I clocked out of work to deal with this mess...That I am now reconsidering my banking choice. Very much a hassle.

I have never had a problem with my card. I'm always been able to use it anywhere I'm at. I always text alerts when my payroll check is on the card. When I use the card at any Walmart it gives me one percent back and then on gas it gives me three percent back on gas.

Last month my card number was stolen and used at merchant I had never heard of. I filed dispute with Walmart MoneyCard. They told me 10 business days for resolution but I had to send in the dispute form. I emailed the form per the recording I listened to and per the information online. It has now been over a month and still no resolution. I have called over 20 times and speak with several supervisor and they just keep telling me I should have mailed in the dispute and the investigation now will take 45 days. This money was that was steal was part of my rent money and I still have not received my money back. I am so pissed off and I would never use this card again. All I want is my money back and Walmart Green Dot has not helped me at all and I would tell anyone to avoid this card because they will not help when these card spammers steal your information. I have reported them to BBB and I have filed police report on them as well.

Unable to Access Funds. I ordered a replacement card on May 5th. The card was supposed to arrive on May 15th, which was fine. I figured, I get paid via direct deposit on the 15th, the card will arrive and I will have access to my funds. The issue is that it never arrived. I logged into my account online to see my options to access my funds and realized that I could send money to my husband's Walmart MoneyCard. The limit is 500.00, but I thought, that should get us by day to day until my card arrives.
Fast forward to May 19th, my card still has not arrived. I attempted to transfer money to my husband again, but this time, I received an error stating that I've reached my spend limit. I called customer service, and was told that because I had not yet activated my card, the account was ineligible for the "send money" feature. I said that's impossible because I've been sending money to my husband's card for the last 5 days. I was then told there was a "technical error" and that this was "unusual". They then stated that they could send me a replacement card in 3 business days via FedEx, but I still would be unable to access my hard-earned money.
This is unacceptable. I should always be able to access my funds in some form. Walmart MoneyCard should not be able to hold my funds hostage due to an error outside of my control. The representative of course apologized, but unfortunately, her apology will not feed my kids or buy my son's school uniforms. After I have access to my funds, I will be withdrawing them, cancelling my and my husband's cards and moving on. I have been using this card for years, and this is so disappointing.

Account monitoring - You have gone a long way in making your cards more usable to the modern technological world, but you are going a little overboard with it. Many who hold cards like this are looking more for safety than modernization. Not everyone uses cellphones.

I have tried 5x to change my address at Walmart Money Card. I’ve had the card over 15 years, the info they want I no longer have...Phone #, email. I have over $900 in the account since March. Cannot access my money, but they are taking out monthly fees. I’m going to look into BBB or whoever may be able to help.

I have been very impressed with how easy it is to use this card!! Almost just like a real checking account! Some apps don’t recognize the bank or consider the card a pre-paid card but other than that it’s been a saving grace to me! Thank you!

I have really appreciated the ease of using this card. In fact, I have decided not to use a bank any longer and just use the card for what I need. I like that it has a savings option, even tho it doesn't collect interest. The interest in a regular bank savings is pretty negligible unless you are very wealthy, so it makes no difference to me. I tend to refer to banks as institutions for legalized theft, but with this card I feel my money is safer than leaving it in one of those institutions.

Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with my Walmart debit card, but I haven't been able to access my money-because of my card is locked and my phone app will not lock my funds-over two weeks, and consumer service can't figure out why. I have contacted consumer service and various supervisors, just to be retold that I have to wait additional two days for the IT department to contact me because I missed their call because my company has a strict no cell phone policy. I was told to be patience as if my rent, child care fees, and groceries needed for my family can wait. It has been frustrating and disappointing because the reality is customer service was unable me assistance with getting my money. I couldn't pay my bills and every time I called I felt like I am begging for what is mines. Once this issue is resolved- when it is resolved- I am closing my account. I can't deal with this type of issue again.

The using of the Walmart has been very good. I have been able to pay my bills and use while at any store. I did have a problem using it at an ATM machine in my neighborhood. I believe it may have been that the card does not a chip and it will not read the card correctly. Overall it has been great using the card.

The card is easy to use, keeps me updated on my transactions. Direct deposit is easy. It makes shopping at Walmart very easy and allows for easy returns. I have recommended the card to a lot of friends. The website is great. It's much easier than a traditional bank, I just wish loading money was a bit easier. But that's really my only complaint. I really enjoy the card and its features.

I love the convenience of my card. However, whenever I need to get cash from any ATM IT always says it doesn't recognize my card... Please make more ATM available as I don't always need to make a purchase in order to get the cash I need.

I have sent them all the proper documentation. I have a copy of my transactions and account balance which is 728.00. They won’t let me access my money. Bills are all due and I call and call and call and they say two business days. Now we are on four business days and still I cannot access my 728.00 on my card. I use this card for all my direct deposit and bills have always but now I am changing to someone more safe because my money is on there. They won’t unlock my account even after I sent to all documents they asked and needed.
So safe to say something fraudulent is going on ON THEIR END because this is so horrible to lock and not give people their hard earned money for their bills. So if come tomorrow my money is still not accessible I will be hiring a lawyer and coming after this company due to this ISNT right or fair. There was no reason to lock my account and better no reason to not unlock it after I sent what they asked for. Terrible. DO NOT TRUST THEM PLEASE.

I love that whenever- I use my card and I must have a return of credit on the card it's done immediately. Less than 1 hour I have credit back on my card. Never a hassle. Always quick, fast and in a hurry. Even when I had a dispute of a cell it was not a problem nor a hassle.

My card got locked. I sent my license photo in for verification several times. Nothing worked. I've called too many times to only get the same automated directions that never worked. I don't know how to access my account.

Have had 2 direct deposits made to my account I opened with Walmart MoneyCard. I reported the initial debit card as lost on 5/3/18. I was charged the fee for a new card and was told it was mailed out. I am now on day 10 and have not received my card and can't access my money. I called to complain and the only option provided after verifying they have the right address is to cancel this card they say they sent me and I never received, and be CHARGED AGAIN for another card which will be another 7-10 days. The only people who have had access to my account is Walmart MoneyCard or Green Dot Bank. Don't do this to yourself like I have. You can't access your money without a card. I am seeking legal help and contacting the Better Business Bureau. Crappy!

The customer service had been good for me. I've never had any issues like other cards I've had. The only concern is, that some places don't allow prepaid cards to be used for monthly subscriptions. If Wal-Mart MoneyCards are used for more than a year, they should remove the prepaid status and give us LoC for having loyalty.

My experience so far with the Walmart money card has been excellent. It's very convenient and accepted most everywhere. The only downfall of it that I can think of is that you can use no ATMs free of charge for Cash withdrawal. My paycheck is deposit to this card and I have to pay to access the money. Other than that it has made it easier to pay bills and shop online. Some type of interest rate would tempt me to let more money accumulate because I tend to withdraw any extra money left on the card. So far my experience with Walmart money cards has been both good and bad. I use my card for direct deposit for my pay check and so far I have not had any problems. I have had dealt with a few customer service reps that are rude and have problems with their speech but other than that it's been ok.

I switched to the Walmart MoneyCard because they advertise you can get your pay check up to 2 days early but that's not the case at all. My money doesn't even load at midnight on my paydays. I have to wait until 5am for my money and for this reason alone is why I'm getting rid of this thing!

I have used MoneyCard off and on for over 10 years. It is better than banks cause no overdraft fees. And if you load so much each month. There is no monthly fee. Plus you can take money out at register and not be charged atm fees. It's a win win win for every one.

This card has worked very well for me. The only thing I had problems with was using it to get fuel. It wouldn't work at the pump. It's nice to have the bill pay and be able to have checks for those other accts. I'm very glad I tried it!

It's been a good experience. The only issue is the process to dispute transactions. I use the app on my phone and have to go to the full website to dispute anything. Moreover, I can only get the forms for the dispute. It would be easier if the forms could be filled and submitted in one easy step.

I have had my card for almost 2 years and it has been amazing! I grocery shop at Wal-Mart and this card gives me cash back! I have have never had any issues with the card working. I also get paid on the first of every month but with the card I get paid on the 26th of the month! I would highly recommend this card!

The only issues I have with the depositing checks via the app. It does not specify that when you deposit a check using the app that you will not have access to that money for a week. There needs to be notation made before you push submit that it will take a week. Other than that I do not like that I'm not able to pay someone via cash apps like PayPal.

So I have used Walmart MoneyCard for years on and off and recently made the decision to never use them again or a Walmart store for that matter. There is so much fraud that happens with this card. Over the years there was two incidents which were both resolved well. But two months ago I noticed a charge made from Indiana which I absolutely DID NOT make. In all it was 3 transactions totaling just $97.28 all made in Indiana and I NEVER share my pin with anyone, and also I live in NJ. I have tried to dispute this twice and have spoke to NUMEROUS people in customer service which were no help to me at all and also blaming me which I really did not like telling me that I in fact did authorize these purchases. That is the most frustrating thing, and questioning if I gave my pin out. NO I DID NOT! NO I DID NOT MAKE THESE PURCHASES!
Also a rep told me to prove I didn’t make them with documents and when I ask her what kind of documents am I suppose to provide to show I didn’t make purchases in another state, she tells me she doesn’t know, I also asked a different rep to talk to a supervisor or manager and he tells me he doesn’t have one. I literally feel robbed and would never in my life suggest this card to anyone.

The WalMart card is the best one going for prepaid card services. It only charges $5/month to keep it going. I have used many card services and this really has been the best one out there. Many cards charge frivolous charges every time you use it, but the Walmart money card doesn’t do all this. I really do enjoy using this card.

It's a good card except it doesn't give me updates like it says it does. For example it does not tell me when my money is deposited on the card anymore and it doesn't tell me when I go shopping or something it doesn't give me an update on my balance. It doesn't.

My mom had fraud on her acct beginning on 04/18/2019 thru 04/24/2019. My mom is not tech savvy, she still has a flip phone and knows nothing about the internet. She receives a monthly Social Security check as she is disabled and attends dialysis 3 times a week. She happened to call to check her acct on the 24th and realized there was money taken. She called Walmart and started the dispute process. She was told to mail a letter describing what was not authorized on her account.
During this time, I was out of town and could not email the letter for her, so she had to mail it. My mom does not drive and didn't have stamps, so she didn't get it mailed until the first week of May. Today she got a letter stating the dispute was denied and no further money will be sent back to her. She was approved a refund of $204.00, but she still has about $350.00 missing. These charges were made to a restaurant, a bakery, Calvin Klein, AutoZone and a vending machine. She lives in a fixed income and would never shop at CK, nor spend over $30 at a restaurant.
We made a call to Walmart to get more info on why it was declined and was told the charges came from her debit card and they were legitimate. As we live in TX and all changes came out of CA, and they were used using her debit card, I'm confused as how this is even an excuse, and how someone could fix their mouth to say this is legitimate.
On top of that, Walmart didn't wait to get the dispute letter from her before closing it out. We were told we have to file a police report, which we are sitting in the police station completing now, mail it to Walmart, along with another letter and do this all over again. Oh and it will take 10 business days to review. A police report takes a few days to be filed and completed, and the the mailing process is about another week. 10 days to complete a dispute is not enough time with what you are asking for.
I am VERY displeased with Walmart and this whole process. My sis also has a Walmart card and she stated when she went to Vegas, the charges were declined. Why did this not happen with my mom if the charges were made with her debit card?! As my mom has been a customer for over 5 yrs and has never had to file a dispute or had an issues, I find it disheartening that this is the way she is being treated. I am trying to get this resolved ASAP and will take any action necessary to get my mom's money back. We are looking into filing a dispute with any other agencies we can because Walmart has completely dropped the ball on their end. If anyone from Walmart sees this, her claim number is **.

Just a little disappointed in how they treated me when I did a return. I understand they have guidelines but being outright rude and slandering has no explanation. Different stores are going by different guidelines leaving customers confused and embarrassed at times. I heard a lady say oh she stole that to another employee and they both laughed.

There was a fraudulent charge on my card for $21.00 and my account was temporarily suspended. that was 3 weeks ago. I still have no access to my money and cannot pay rent or bills since this is how i get paid for work. Every time i call i get different answers on how to proceed. I have sent in numerous documents to aid in this investigation, only to be told that the investigation has been extended to 45 MORE DAYS!!! I have been kept in the dark the whole time and now I am worried that I will never see this money again. GreenDot Bank is incredibly unorganized and unfortunately my last option is to contact an attorney. Do not use WalMart Money Card. I would not let these people manage a lemonade stand let alone my finances.

I do not have a bank account and have not needed one with the Walmart Money Card. The reason being is that the card has the capability of Direct Deposit, I can also just go to Walmart and for a small fee have my check deposited on my card. If I am paying to have my checked cashed, loading the card is free! It is very convenient to have and has made life much easier.

I needed money from my mom to pay her bills and get meds so we always just used the send money feature. We both have cards. She likes to send in the amounts her bills are so on 5/9 she sent me 165 dollars 140 dollars and another 140 dollars. Of course they pop up in my text one at a time. I accepted them, put my validation code for each one. They all came back success. I go to atm to get money. Only 2 of the payments show up on my side but 3 withdrawn on her account.
Called customer service. They pull up both our accounts and clearly see I only received one of the 140 dollar payments but still tell me that even though I received no money it says claimed on my mom's side. "So sorry we can investigate but could take up to 30 business days". I explained my mom is 83 with income of 638 dollars a month. She needs this money. It buys her food, medicine, utilities with this money. Customer service said they would expedite and I would get a call tomorrow.... No call of course. I call them. No record of me calling the day before. I’m myself am on a fixed income as well, who cares? Not these people. Just sad they can look at both accounts and see problem but say it has to be investigated for that long.

Updated on 06/04/2019: This is my second review, the first was marked as "Resolution In Progress" by a corp rep after calling me to telling me to submit additional docs. There is no way to update a prior review. My card was duplicated and used to withdraw over $920 in a single day with 4 separate ATM withdrawals. The account terms and conditions that originally came with the card, and the current online version both state the daily limit is $500. I have provided a police report, and a written dispute. I have contacted the ATM provider listed in the transactions for copies of ATM photos but was advised they could only be release to the bank. I have done all that was asked of me and my original claim was denied after waiting 10+ days with no explanation. I requested the supporting docs used to make the decision and I have not received anything.
I posted on this site and that is the only reason I was contacted by the corp office. The rep advised that he could see someone tried using the card the day after I called to report the fraudulent charges, and my original card was cancelled. He said to send a copy of the police report and he would open a new claim, I should be able to get my money back. It has been 10+ business days. I have called everyday asking for any updates and I have been told my claim was being reviewed, please allow 10 days. Yesterday was the 10th business day and I was told they have extended the review period to 45 days.
This is ridiculous. A "real" bank would never put you through all of this. Your money is not safe with the card, please review other complaints, not just the 5 star "featured" ones. There are many instances of fraud and denied claims. Please contact your states attorney general, if there are enough complaints they can get involved. I will be looking for an attorney. I work hard for my paycheck, and it was stolen. This company doesn't use fair practices and doesn't care about the consumer. When I asked how someone could steal $920+ when the daily ATM limit is $500, the corp rep said the limit was recently increased. If the terms and conditions were not updated who would know that. There maybe some internal fraud going on that needs to be investigated.
Original review: My paycheck is direct deposited to this Walmart MoneyCard. I was paid on Friday, and woke up on Sunday to check my balance to find over $925 dollars taken from my account. There was a balance inquiry made. Then 4 separate ATM withdrawals made ($303, $203, $203, $203) plus 5 fees (1 inquiry fee, and 4 atm fees). I called the customer service number and spoke with a rep who took all of my info, cancelled my card and requested a new card. I mailed in a letter also stating I did not use my card nor did I authorize anyone else to use it for these transactions, I filed a police report, and I contacted the bank at the address shown in the transaction descriptions on the app to see if I could get copies of photos from the ATM used.
The bank said that they could not give me the photos but there is a procedure for Green Dot to obtain them. I have not heard anything after 10 business days so I called the customer service number to see if anyone could give me a status update, I was played a recording that said my claim was denied. I do not know what to do, how will I feed my family?
The user agreement states there is a $500 per day atm withdrawal limit, but somehow these crooks were allowed to get over $900. I do not share my card/pin with anyone, I followed the guidelines for disputing these transactions, even tried to get photos to provide I did not withdrawal these funds, and now I will not get my money back. I have also looked online and I see quite a few stories of other people losing their money. The cards are not issued with the extra safety of a chip like a bank or credit card, which makes us users more vulnerable. If you do not have to use one of these cards don't put yourself in the position of having all of your money stolen and then have your claim denied.

I logged into my account and noticed over $2,000.00 of fraudulent Atm transactions. It was less than 24 hours since I logged in last. I called immediately and filed a claim. Sent in the letter they requested I mail the same day. I still do not have my money back!! They advised could be 10 business days. That is today and still nothing. I made a purchase in Utah right as these were happening in California. Obviously that was not me. I need my money back. Someone call me. I am very upset.

I've been content with the MoneyCard for sometime. However, I needed to update my address. I spoke with a young lady in India, who thought GA was a place and not Georgia. During the screen process, she acquired very sensitive personal data. Then came to part of my old address. She wouldn't go further "For my Protection". I informed her it had been 2 years since I lived there and I just realized I hadn't updated the information. I informed her that if Walmart MoneyCard sent information to that address, then I am not protected. She then told me I had to send photos of my ID and my bills to that address to someplace. THAT'S RIDICULOUS! I've already proved who I was, then what if all bills were in someone else's name? If this is what I have to go through, then I'll consider another option other than the MoneyCard.

Great overall card!!!! Easy to load/unload!!! The vault is convenient and very useful. The fact that your card has its own built in savings account is so beneficial. So easy to just transfer your funds from one the vault to the card!!! You've really started a great thing.

I recently visited a Shell Gas Station and pumped $5.03 worth of gas at the pump. When I looked at my card transactions the next day, I notice there was a pending transaction of $85 + the posted amount of $5.03 on my card. Needless to say I was in total shock! When I contact customer service, it seems they all read from a script and say the same thing -- "I'm sorry this happened to you". It will take up to 20 days to refund your money back or sooner if we receive the information from the merchant.
When I contact Shell, they tell me it is my financial institution that is holding the funds; they even have a prerecorded message on the corporate phone saying "if you're calling about pre-authorized funds on your debit or credit card, please contact your financial institution", "it is them who is holding your funds". When you call your Walmart Moneycard Help Desk, they tell me it is Shell holding the funds.
I know it is Walmart (GreenDot Bank) holding the funds! What is the purpose of this? Is it to collect interest on the consumers' money? It's funny how you can pay for something with your debit card and it posts immediately. Why this happens at the gas pump is a total monopoly and something needs to be done about this. Here I am currently unemployed and in need of my money and this was the last money I had until next week. I am truly disappointed and will be cancelling my card as soon as possible.

I have signed up to receive a money card in my name but cust service states that they can not mail it to a PO box. I have explained that I live in a rural area and gave my physical address but can not receive mail at the address. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told none is available. A company the size of Wal-Mart's money card has no supervisor available? So I guess Wal-Mart can't be a benefit to someone living in a rural area. This is ridiculous.

We have not received this card. It has been over a month since we applied. We use these cards to have a savings account. It is important to me as this is a way to save for me daughters college fund, without dealing directly the banking system. Please figure out what the problem is. I had an issue with a glitched double charge from ordering something online. The merchant was on 3 way trying to help resolve the issue. I was ignored. Talked over and MOCKED by the customer service. When I asked to speak to his manager he said he'd just have me wait "all day" then said he would they me someone and had me wait forever. He never came back.
The customer service person from the merchant was appalled. All he gave me was the transaction date and said that they couldn't fix the problem and that the merchant needed to (they didn't they were on the phone at the same time trying to help). He literally made fun of me! Refused to help! Or give me any reason as to why he couldn't help me and why I had to wait so long. So basically I'm out $90. I have to least a week just to CALL BACK. I'm shocked. I loved that I got paid early by the card but honestly the tradeoff of having absolutely no support when you need it isn't worth it. I was honestly embarrassed that I had to deal with that with a third party to witness it. I'll probably be canceling my card soon. Hopefully no one else has to experience what I did.

I got this card because I let my bank account go, plus I was serving and was tired of never having a credit card for anything. It was easy to load my cash at Walmart, you pay 4$ to load money and I think you can load as much as you want. Only thing I don’t like about it is that since it is prepaid I’m limited to what I can do with it, but that’s my own problem lol. I can have my work checks direct deposited (I got my first one 2 days early which was cool because that was only cause of MoneyCard) and last year when I filed my taxes they rewarded me 10$ just for having them direct deposited to my card.
This year when I filed I got my taxes two days earlier and didn’t even know it lol because MoneyCard offered that this year. Also you can get cashback on your purchases at Walmart, and your 10$ fee a month will be waived if you spend the minimum a month! Or is it if you put a certain amount of money? I think it’s a certain amount of purchases but anyway. What bank can you do that with?? Hardly any. This is perfect for people who keep a lot of cash and shop at Walmart a lot. Also people who don’t have a bank account and need a quick fix. Card costs like 3.50 I think plus 4$ to load and whatever you put on it.

While using my card at Walmart it wouldn't accept it at first and then the cashier swiped it again and then charged me cash so I paid for my items twice. I tried to get this corrected at Walmart and no one would fix the problem.

I love this card. I get my paycheck on it. When I shop at Walmart I earn cash back. I love that it is accepted anywhere, and that it acts like a checking account. I can also set up reoccuring payments on some of my accounts. Not all prepaid cards do this.

On the 2nd of this month my fiance had his lump sum pension direct deposited $37778. Not aware there was a limit on how much direct deposit could be made. We have been blocked from the account told to send pics of ID and receipt of direct deposit. Had the company send their bank statement, sent the ID pics and have had to do this 4 freaking times. Spoke to someone Monday evening. Told us the block would be off Tues. That they had received and started reviewing on the 4th and a review took 2 business days. We have called and emailed several times since this started and always being blown off and always told 2 more days.
Yesterday we were promised today by 2pm we would receive an email to let us know block has been lifted by REX employee who we spoke with but not one supervisor is ever available nor do we ever receive a call back from a supervisor when we are told we will receive one. We thought that we had EVERYTHING set to be able to move (Florida to TEXAS) June 1st when our lease is up and we were going to fix our car because it's got no suspension and now we are in fear for our whole life is being ripped away from you scum bags.
We have had to start thinking about how we will live homeless with 2 cats and a dog now because we are being treated like this. They have had to do all this because of security reasons!!! -Fraud dept. Are you kidding. We have not ever used this card. He got it to replace his other that was six years old so this is the way you do a customer of six years. If not given our money today the local news and a lawyer will be contacted because this is not fair and it's a large amount of money to steal and we are very short on time now and can't even concentrate on packing because you're ruining our future. This is serious!!! You MUST RETURN THE MONEY. THIS IS A VERY HEFTY CASE AGAINST YOU IF NOT. Also I can't believe Walmart supports this **.... How do we resolve this? If someone knows please help us please. We are begging for a way to get his money so we don't have to lose everything!!!

I love my card (I actually have two). I use one for paying bills and one for fun funds. I would love to see a combined online account where I can see both card balances and transfer funds between accounts easily. This would be so awesome! My only complaint is the monthly deposit amount is high in order to waive the fee. $1,000 is a little steep. I think $500 would be more reasonable.

Walmart MoneyCard is okay and also convenient. But there are so many fees attached. 1.You can't put less than 20.00 on your card. 2. There is a 3.00 fee to put the money on the card. 3. Then there is a 5.00 monthly fee. 4. You're charged 2.95 for each ATM withdrawal. 5. In order to have the monthly fee cancelled you have to make a monthly recurring payment of a thousand dollars or more.???

The first time I ever transferred money from my personal savings account to my Walmart MoneyCard account. I had to pay $3 for every transaction made, they suspended my Walmart money account in a week asking for prove of transaction which I did. Then they said my drivers driver's license was invalid. It's been one excuse to another from their side and my $5045 is still being held in their custody.

I must first start out by stating that all phone numbers to Wal-Mart MoneyCard are not to the United States. The one and only number 866-652-4611 you must know the party's extension to speak to a Corporate Resolution Specialists. I have spent more time on the phone with 877-937-4098, the Philippines speaking with what are called specialists. I have also spoken with Jason in Corporate Resolutions only to find he can't tell the truth either. I found an article today on ConsumerAffairs reading about hacked accounts and getting your money returned through Wal-Mart Money Card and Green Dot Corporation. What I found was so upsetting, quite frankly disgusting.
Calling their consumers who use their card 2nd class. Talk about discrimination. Furthermore, lie after lie after lie. Wal-Mart Money Card received calls from me when I immediately noticed at 3am in the morning on April 26, 2019 that unauthorized transactions were pending on my account. My payroll checks had went through and there was over $2,000.00 in my account. Let me make a very valid point. I called because the transactions were unauthorized and in Pending Status. I spoke with Ira or Iris, couldn't understand half of what she was saying. Her dialect was so poor. What I did hear her say is, "We will not run the transactions through," and then sent me immediately to a recording. I was not comfortable with how that conversation went so I called back 877-937-4098 on the back of the card.
Again after being prompted to enter my card number and my 9 digit social security number, I again ending up speaking to John in the Philippines. So that I can not illiterate so much on speaking to a foreign country and not the United States, John told me I had to go through a process to get my money. I was so confused because the disputed transactions were in Pending Status. Well lo and behold no... Wal-Mart MoneyCard aka Green Dot aka Green Dot Bank aka GoCard aka Bonneville Bank ran the transactions through. I clearly and I repeat clearly said STOP STOP STOP STOP the transactions. Those are not my transactions. Wal-Mart Money Card ending up allowing my account to be depleted of $2,193.00. These disputed transactions were out of the Country.
Furthermore, I was also charged with Custom Border Fees that Wal-Mart MoneyCard also processed. Further in reading the article by ConsumerAffairs, I read that Wal-Mart Money Card sells cards to customers who they consider to be low class and apparently think they are uneducated so the cards are uninsured. Although they have FDIC Insured the FDIC states otherwise. Wal-Mart MoneyCard aka Green Dot is not FDIC Insured and are a State Regulated Bank. FDIC insures money and assets of a bank only if they go belly up or file bankruptcy. Other than the the FDIC only means the Bank and its assets are covered. Not the consumer. So, I also find out from the Consumer Affairs, these cards are not insured against fraud. Wal-Mart does not have to return the money.
Interesting, so where does the money go after Wal-Mart files a claim with an Insurance company? It does not come back to the cardholder or owner of the account now does it. So where did the money actually go? Why can't the Cardholder speak to anyone in the United States? Why is 866-652-4611 so secretive? So Instead of Jason, John, Hannah, Bianca, Sierra, Iris or Ira (not sure); the truth (The Truth) they lied. They said I would have an investigation on my account done and it would take 10 days. When I spoke to Alvin, he informed me the investigation did not begin until May 1st and they had 10 days to investigate.
When speaking to Jason, he could not tell me when an investigation began, he could not tell me when I would get my money back, he did not help me any whatsoever. He too lied. They all lied. These clerks ran disputed transactions through when told not to. They lied and said an investigation of the account would happen. They lied when they did not disclose what has been disclosed to ConsumerAffairs. Wal-Mart is a lying deceitful company who has set up corporations outside the United States who can not follow instructions.
They took $2,193.00, gave to a merchant and someone out there in Never Never Land received merchandise. I am now facing eviction from my apartment on 5/6/19. Wal-Mart Money Card/Green Dot Corporation refused to write a letter to the apartment complex send a email to any of my creditors because they knew they did transactions outside the United States at a Call Center in the Philippines and they will get money through insurance claim but they will never return the money to the rightful owner.
You can only get away with something this ugly for so long and you run across a person who can check on the Security Exchange Commission and see exactly what is happening. I don't need to say any more than that. Wal-Mart MoneyCard is going to find out that stealing $2,193.00 for a customer's account could cost them way more in the long run. There are many of us out there who have been abused by Wal-Mart, their scam practices and because we are 2nd class they thought nobody would ever see exactly what they are doing.
I see there are over 6,000 comments on the ConsumerAffairs website. Any of you have suffered abuse by Wal-Mart MoneyCard, Green Dot, Green Dot Corporation, GoBank or Bonneville Bank all affiliated, please send pm me on messenger **. I would love to hear from you so that a lawsuit can be filed against Wal-Mart. Also, if you have experienced what I did, please contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and file a claim, also the Federal Trade Commission. File a Stolen Identity report. Better yet don't do business with Wal-Mart Money Center and do not do any business with Green Dot. It is time we stand strong and stop being taken advantage of. Read it here on ConsumerAffairs. We are 2nd class. Wow!!! That statement alone makes me never ever want to do business with a corporation or a banking institution who classifies me or discriminates me.
We are the ones who make these people rich and then they turn right around and steal from us. Think about it. People shop for best prices not because they are 2nd class or dirt under their feet. Besides, I work at Kroger and I do all of my shopping there. My customers who come in my store they are a Customer there to be treated kind and helped if needed and look for kind smiling faces. Now I see why Wal-Mart employees look so miserable. They are considered beneath the Wal-Mart owners and their executive staff. And, they are treated as such just like we are who hold their sorry dirty filthy Green Dot or Wal-Mart Money Card.

I have a great experience while having my Wal-Mart MoneyCard. I get paid early and I've never had any issues. I would recommend this card to anyone who doesn't want to deal with a regular bank. The version I have gives me my monthly fee back because I deposit a large enough sum every month.

The benefit of using this card is obviously the convenience. Because most of us go into a Wal Mart almost every day. And it's a wonderful relationship at first. Until you have any type of issue, or problem with the card. Then the reality hits you square in the face. Green Dot Bank has absolutely no customer service support. "Send us your money, and shut up," should be the company slogan. Or I should say, is the company slogan. So if you enjoy spending quality time pushing endless buttons on an automated answering system, trying to talk to a person, then by all means, do business with the Green Dot Banking System. (Spoiler Alert, you will never talk to an actual person using the customer service numbers plastered all over the internet.)

For the most part I like my Walmart money debit card. The only improvement I ask for is to have the cards include a chip on them like most debit cards. The card would be more secure this way, would be less likely to be duplicated, and would be accepted at more merchants/businesses.
