I tried to pay a bill using my MoneyCard however I was unaware of a $10 fee that was deducted when I loaded money on my card so when I went to pay my bill there was not enough money to cover it. I have been waiting for seven days now. I have made several phone calls and I still have not received my money on my card. I have called the place where I tried to pay my bill several times and they keep telling me that they already released the payment the same day that I tried to make the payment. They tell me there are no pending transactions on their end but on Walmart Money Card's end. Every time I call I don’t get any answers other than it should be back on there in another week. I don’t have another week because I have bills to pay and I want my money now.

The store will offer no refund and the company they use Green Dot will not provide written instructions for a refund either. The customer service department at Green Dot hung up on myself and my wife several times. They are dishonest and disreputable and there is no refund policy on the website the Walmart MoneyCard. For a week solid every time we called they insisted their system is temporarily down. The reason they provided for not activating the card was their claim that we had too many of their cards but we have never purchased one.

Placed an online order with a business and had something come up so called to cancel. I was told by the business the pending charge on my account would be gone in 24 hrs. Well 3 days later the money was still in pending so I called back to find out why. They said that they released the pending charge and the problem is on our end. So called Walmart MoneyCard to find out why the money that was released was still showing in pending on our account and they told us that we would have to wait 2 WEEKS.... Yes that's correct. 2 FREAKING WEEKS to get that pending charge off our account. This is unheard of and unacceptable, I have bills that need to be paid with that money that Walmart MoneyCard is holding hostage! It is my money and they don't want to release it back to me. This is THEFT plain and simple!!!!

Someone stole money from card in Chicago, IL. I live in Texas, I reported it immediately to customer service & they were no help. I was told it could take 45 days for an investigation plus the rep barely spoke English. I'm going to complain to every social media platform & news stations until this is resolved in a timely manner. I was treated like I was liar. The money card is horrible!!!

When I go to atms that do not charge a surcharge I still get charged a surcharge for using my card. I have this MasterCard as well as a visa card through Green Dot and it doesn't do it with my visa card. I would like to see it fixed or I might move them bofh somewhere else.

My card was used unauthorized and these people will not refund my money. They try to take more money every two weeks at 6:33 am every time. I never used this company that is taking my money 39.99. Very upset about this. I've been a customer since 2016.

I had a card with you the company for years and then all of a sudden out the blue, a fraudulent company gas station charges my card and my disputes kept being denied. It happened not once but twice. It shows on your account still pending and few days later it disappear. Shouldn't no one feel like they should get con to a loss of money that they worked hard for, especially when the purchase was never made by me at all.

I originally got this card for safe online shopping. But when I started having my paychecks deposited I noticed I was getting paid a day (if not days!) Earlier! I have never went in the negative with My Wal-Mart Card, which gives me emotional relief compared to a bank card. Whenever I had a large amount of money in my card I learned about the Vault. It was awesome to know when I swiped my card my "savings" was secure. And when I did need to transfer it over, the Unstash feature was instant right on my phone. I have never had a card that offered rewards after 12 months. It's exciting to see what I've earned. :) I love this card and I recommend it to any employed individual!!

We suppose to get our refund but found out our card not eligible for deposit. They didn't contact us or send us another card. Now we don't know how we going to get it. We call, no help at all. How can we get this resolved so we can get our refund? We need our money.

May 6, 2019 we noticed our Walmart MoneyCard/Green Dot was used several times without authorization from 5/2/2019 through 5/6/2019. The card was used a total of 8 times during those 5 days to both Pizza Hut and Domino's for a total of $151.91. We had used our card locally on those days in North and South Carolina. The withdrawals for the merchants came from locations in Nebraska (2 locations), Illinois, Virginia (4 Different locations) and New Mexico. On 5/6/2019 as soon as the fraud was discovered we reported the card stolen. A new one was issued in addition to a charge of $3.00 for a replacement card. On 5/22/2019 the $3.00 was reversed by Walmart. 5/8/2019 the original dispute forms were prepared and submitted. No acknowledgement or response was received so the claim was resubmitted.
The dispute was denied so an appeal was filed. June we received the results of the appeal finding the charges to be actual charges and not fraud. No other explanation or proof was provided. As of this date we are still fighting with Walmart MoneyCard/Green Dot for the refund of the fraudulent charges. We followed all the procedures provided for the claim. Simply looking at the locations and dates of the purchases obviously reflects them 100’s of miles apart. We feel Walmart did not and still is not doing its due diligence to correct the problem and we need this corrected now. On another note, we’ve also noted several complaints received responses from Walmart/Green Dot advising the complainants were unable to be reached at the contact number provided. We can be reached after 6:30p EST to discuss a resolution.

This last tax season I "added" my ex as a card holder. Was never informed that it was denied. His taxes have been held captive since March. It is June 27th. I have continuously provided every document requested and my account is still locked with no access to the funds. I have legal power of attorney. The IRS has provided multiple transcripts. They continue to request a document from the IRS that literally does not exist, because the IRS will NOT put bank account information on to any documents. I have been fighting and fighting and these people will not unlock my account. The IRS has suggested I hire an attorney and today that is what I am doing.
I have thousands of dollars on my card I desperately need and cannot access. I will be suing Green Dot Walmart MoneyCard. Just to say the least on how corrupt this business is, I am unable to access my own money that I am legally responsible for, but they have surely taking every single monthly charge out of the account. I have also contacted BBB and they have had multiple complaints and have had to intervene and investigate on fraudulent services on multiple occasions. Please avoid this company and their corruption. At this point I will call it as I see it and at this point they're criminals stealing our money...

It's been a great alternative to a bank account. I have had no trouble with my card or account. I do a lot of online shopping and so far they have accepted my card with no trouble. I would encourage anyone that doesn't have a bank account to get one of these cards.

Run as fast as you can from this card. I bought 2 kayaks from a Facebook ad. Turns out it’s a fraud website. I tried filling out the dispute and fraud forms but when I submit it says there is an error. I called into what’s suppose to be Customer service, and got Dell (at least that’s what he told me). Very condescending and zero help. He informed me I had to file the complaint with the website company. Problem was no there is no company, they don’t exist.
After going round and round I asked for a supervisor and was told there isn’t any, not how this works. I called back in, and got someone who could speak less English than “Dell” and was finally transferred to a sup, who was going to file a complaint about Dell. “I doubt it, that he will.” He was just as worthless. No help and I’m out the money. I’m going to social media and to Walmart corp and Visa, not how this is supposed to work. I lost my money and this card is no help in getting it back. Still pending in the account but customer service is worthless.

Disputes are impossible to process and I never got my money back. Thinking of dropping the card. If the process was more customer friendly I would consider keeping the card. Wal-Mart stopped the scan receipt for savings and I didn't get credit for 1000 I spent on tires.

I have never had any problems with my Walmart money card. I enjoy the money that you can earn just by shopping at Walmart stores and at Walmart.com. I also enjoy being able to look at my account on the money card app and I also enjoy the savings vault. Only downfall is does anyone really ever win the sweepstakes that you are entered into for using the vault.

I’ve been using Walmart MoneyCard for about two years. I absolutely love the card up until now. My account have been block for a week now! I’ve cooperated with CSR and sent in documents to verify that it’s my account. I did this June 19th, they told me to give them 2 business day to resolve and lift the block. Here it is the 3rd business day and they told me that they forward the docs to the processing department on June 23rd. And that I should wait another day until the blocked is lift. I’ve requested to speak with the supervisor and was told they were busy taking calls and to give them 4 hours to return my call. I have a small child that I have to take care of and pay daycare fees. Not to mention that I’ve been hit with a water bill that’s due in a couple days. I am upset and frustrated. I never had this problem. My money on this card is used to pay my bills. I need my money.

I have had a great experience with my Walmart Money card since I got it! My past employers did direct deposit of my paychecks to my card, and I always received my pay 2 days before the actual payday. I loved that! My current employer writes paper checks, but I cash them at the local Walmart & have a portion loaded to my card. It would be nice if I didn't have to pay to have the money loaded to my card because they charge me for cashing my paycheck there as well. But overall, I have had a great experience with the Walmart Money card, & I HAVE recommended it to family & friends. In fact, my 2 adult children use a Walmart Money card.???? Thanks.

My card is very reliable, it tho is very limited. Not many carriers accept it as a credit card, if it offered a option for rebuilding credit, that would be amazing. Also if it offered easier ways to stop unwanted fundings taken out, despite, not being able to get go through the original source. I also recommend more rewards to those loyal card users. Who use it wisely, and gave us better ways to borrow money on lean weeks in Order to get through a typical 2 week period, for those that are extremely stretching their budgets to make ends meet, it would be a super nice incentive for those less fortunate, or fallen on hard times. I have never had any problems with my card. I have my paycheck direct deposited on my card and usually get my money two days early. It does everything any other card does. I absolutely LOVE getting cash back every year on all products I buy at WalMart.

A lot of businesses do not accept virtual banking payments. It has been an issue with my day to day lifestyle. Other than that enjoy it. I also enjoy that I get my direct deposit early than most banks allow, helps with bill payments.

I've had my card for 3 years. It's been easy to use. I really like the Wal-Mart card ap. It's easy to get the direct deposit from work or like my wife her disability check. Was told even SSI. As the best part is it is free if you have 1000.00 $ deposited every month.

Great card overall. Can use it anywhere. It would be nice to be able to load more than 1000 dollars at one time. I think there should not be a loading limit on this card to better please consumers. While paying for the fees. And it would be nice to lower atm fees.

Never had any issues. I like the fact that I get paid 2 days before my coworkers. If I had to give some criticism I guess I'd say it would be cool to have something like a savings account. There is the option to "stash" money but it is too easy to unstash.

How come there is a fee for getting money from a Wal Mart atm, is there a difference from any other atm. What is the benefit of having this card compared to other prepaid cards, you still have all the same fees.

There was a fraudulent charge on my account in a city I don't live in which i assume happens all the time. I file transaction dispute and it's denied. I ask the customer service what more info do I need and they said police report. Filed a police report yet denied again. I then call the store that my transaction happened and they have no information on me besides my card. They provided me with a receipt they had a signature that is different from mine and I sent it to be denied again. I provide my attendance record from work that shows I was working when this happened and once again denied. I then email the transaction despite all the information I have and still denied.
Today I had the manager of the store on a conference call with the dispute dept willing to give any information they need and they didn't know what to ask and still my case is denied. Biggest issue is no one is telling me why I call and they don't know. They keep saying I will receive a detailed explanation and I never get a call, email or text. So when I asked to speak with the supervisor they said they will call back. When I asked to remain on hold for the supervisor they hung up on me! This is the worst kind of burden to put on a customer especially when it's obvious no investigating and they have less than helpful attitudes. This shouldn't be this difficult if someone did their job. I can provide all the info on this subject to someone who can help but till then I wont put money in a Bank that REFUSES to protect it. Walmart Moneycard account won’t back up unauthorized charges. In fact this is the second time this has happen. This time it was charges for $24.98/$14.50/$27.00. I have called over and over. Only excuses even by supervisors. They refund authorized my 1.00 and 4.99. Anything above that you can kiss your money good bye. Walmart will rip you off. Walmart doesn’t care about the consumer. Doesn’t matter to them about the hard working consumer that barely gets by.

I love my card. It simplifies banking for me. I like Walmart kickbacks. I like that I can add money in many places and withdraw money in many places at low cost. I love the cash back. I love love love getting paid on Wednesdays in a mainly Friday payday world.

Overall I am satisfied but not getting access to my direct deposit a day early anymore has been very disappointing. I love the ability to lock my card but could find no way to dispute a fraudulent charge. I like the cash back from purchases at Walmart and the ability to stash money from the app. I haven’t had to pay a fee on the card yet either.

I haven’t had any problems with this card at all until I most recently had to file a couple disputes that were charged on my card, this amounts still haven’t been added back on and it’s been a couple of weeks already. That’s really my only complaint.

I’ve had the MoneyCard for almost two years and it’s awesome! Taxes and paychecks can be put on this card. The only thing that’s not the best is that it costs $3 to load money on the card from a paper check which I think shouldn’t cost anything if you put it on at Walmart.

I think the monthly charge is a little bit toooo much, $3 was a better charge. I find this is very convenient for me instead of carrying money, I carry my card. I love to shop at Amazon so using my card comes in handy.

This card is convenient. Don’t like having to go to the website to look up details on a transaction. The cash back feature is nice. Wish it didn’t top out at 75. I’ve been topped out for a month and have a month to go. Like the no-fee feature with direct deposit.

I can’t use my card multiple places because it is prepaid and I have to pay $3 to load my own money on my own card!?!? Why do I have to pay to put money on my card but free to take money off. It makes it difficult to load money unless you only rely on direct deposit.

I have had the MoneyCard for a few years, it seems whenever I have an issue and need to call, people barely speak English, and you can NEVER get a supervisor. I want to speak to a supervisor not yet another rep! Horrible horrible horrible!!!!

Great experience. Only problem is when wawa is free they take 2.75 out in fees. Just wish it was free too, instead of going all the way to Walmart to take money out. Other than that I love getting my money early.

I was checking out all the different prepaid debit card providers and now I have six different ones. I know several people that have the Walmart MoneyCard and I also got one. I, more or less, just use it for online purchases and it's convenient. I normally go to Walmart and reload it. But I hate Walmart so to me, it’s a pain to go there. Other than that, their customer service is all right and I haven't had any problem.

The Monthly fee is ridiculous. If you want people to use your card more, eliminate or greatly reduce the monthly fee. Some of the card rules are counterproductive to using the card. The reloading fees are dumb & way too high. Restructuring your card rules to incentivize card usage is strongly advised.

Lost my card several weeks ago. Ordered a replacement, two weeks later, June 19, it’s still not here. Call up their customer service phone line and they tell me it was supposed to be delivered on a certain date, but obviously wasn’t. So they offered to cancel and send another card, but that wouldn’t until the end of the month. They told me we could not transfer funds to any other bank because it goes against policy. There’s no other way to access my funds, I cannot send money to anyone, even my PayPal because I “don’t have a card on file.” I even found my old card but they could not reactivate it because it’s flagged as lost/stolen. I’m a patient person but I have no way to access my money and I HAVE bills that NEED to be paid. Ridiculous.

I've had direct deposit set up on this card with the same company nearly 3 years. I normally receive my pay Thursdays at 5:15am ET. Today that didn't happen so I called and got no explanation why. I called my payroll department and was informed they've made no changes and there were no rejected deposits. It's 9:28pm and I still have a $0 balance. I'll be changing my direct deposit and getting rid of this account once and for all as soon as I get to work tomorrow???

My only complaint is accessing my money when the system is down & I can never speak to a live person. Everything is always automated. I also only have a cell phone and am unable to dispute transactions that have been fraudulently charged to my account after I have stopped them so unless I am on a computer can I actually get to the website to file a claim.

I ordered a new card on the 6th. Was told it will be in my mailbox by the 17th of June. When I didn't receive it on the 17th I called and told me to wait one more day. Here it is the 19th of June and still no card. I called and was told that they will ship me out another card but I have to wait until Monday. I asked for a supervisor and was told there is none. This is ridiculous. I have a whole other card I asked can I put my funds on but they said they can't do that. My next step is a lawyer.

So my Walmart MoneyCard account was hacked, all the money we spent. The number on the back of the card has not been accepting calls for a week. Walmart's no help, Green Dot's no help unless you're a platinum member. So I get online to investigate and it looks as though it's been going on for over a year. Not sure if that's correct but there's a lot of people saying they were hacked too and Walmart not doing anything about it.

Bought the card and tried to verify my info, I'm 24. I know my own personal info and it comes back as unable to verify. I’ve tried the app, the website, Walmart store it was bought from (who the manager even admitted to it being a scam they deal with constantly). And Green Dot website doesn’t give their customer service number online for some strange reason (BECAUSE THEY ARE A SCAM!!!).

Overall I have had a great experience with my WM card only this is I can’t use it through certain apps because it’s prepaid card and I always have a hard time getting my money in store because of machines being down.

I have been using the Walmart MoneyCard for a few years and never had any issues until now. My card was set to expire in July. I loved how I was able to design my new card so I jumped on that. On June 2nd an email was sent advising me that my card was processed and it may take up to 2 weeks; but I was able to continue to use my current card until it arrives. That wasn't the truth. That same day, June 2nd my debit card was deactivated! I called the number on the card and go figure your connected to an outsourced customer service line that couldn't do anything to help but to tell you basically too bad, wait for the card.
It is now June 18th, no card has arrived. I was told today, another card will be sent but there is no option to expedite shipping and it will now start the "7 business day" shipping time. Just to be clear.. I haven't been able to pay rent, bills or even put groceries in my home because of this. Don't trust this service for a long period, it is not legitimate!

Had a card with you guys for years and then all of a sudden out the blue, a fraudulent company charges my card and my disputes kept being denied. I’ve had this card for close to 5 months now and I’ve already had my account compromised. Not only was my account compromised, but I was refused help and I was unable to get any of my money back. The account specialists didn’t understand my questions, refused to transfer me to another specialist on multiple occasions. When my account was compromised I ordered a new debit card as anyone would, which couldn’t be tracked, by me or by the company, and took almost 3 weeks to receive it. So I was borrowing money for 3 weeks due to the fact I couldn’t withdraw or access any money without a card. Absolutely terrible card, terrible customer service, and horrible accountability.

Up until now I've had a good experience using this card. This however, is enough to turn me off permanently. I tried to access my app last night, to be greeted with "Account Blocked Pending Further Review." I contacted the customer support number, and was told that they couldn't help me, gave me a ticket number, and said I would be receiving a call from "Corporate" within a couple of days.
So here I sit, out in the country where I have so little signal that I miss half my calls, waiting, hoping for a call. No name, no way to contact "corporate", and my entire cash fund is locked behind this block. I can appreciate security measures, but I am extremely frustrated. I had to miss an extremely important appointment today because I couldn't buy the gas to get there. I'm already starting to see bounce fees from some of my autopay bills. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, AND I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE WITH THE CARD TO IMMEDIATELY TRANSFER THEIR MONEY ELSEWHERE IF THEY ARE ABLE.

I've had my account hacked, card stolen before and a hacking supposed to be continuously. Is it because I'm disabled and on a fixed income or is it because Walmart allows it and they know that they can't get caught so they target Walmart prepaid customers. You can't get through to anybody. They constantly deny your claims and my last claim on my car door so they denied it and added 200 some dollars extra charges on it, and I never said that. But if they'd read my email that they in my letter that I sent them of what occurred but they don't. They wanted and they delay the process saying they want it but then they get it. Obviously they don't read it.
I'm disabled, on a fixed income and I want my money and I'm tired of it. This isn't the first but this time I card instead of being hacked was actually stolen. I've lost it, I dropped it something and it was taken and I tried to call the merchants and emerges won't do anything with me. So I guess I'm just supposed to let them just take my money and be done with it and I press charges. 18 days on one and then they denied, didn't give me my provisional credit and now they're taking another 10 days for the same things but with the actual amount. The thieves and liars, they want me to speak to anyone and they're over in the Philippines. They could care less about our American laws.

I do not like that I can't use my card at gas pumps. Either my card is declined or it says my pin is incorrect. That is extremely frustrating. And that is probably my only complaint. But it's big to me. If I could use it at gas pumps I would give a 5 star rating.

So I had a problem where I moved from the West Coast to the East and had to close my Chase Bank account because they don't have them on the east coast. They processed a bill that was submitted after I closed the account. They filed a complaint against me for the bounced fee and sent the letter informing me of this to the address I no longer lived in. This blocked me from opening a bank account so I had to use a Green Dot. Green Dot has been incredibly problematic. I had paid my car insurance and a month later I was rear-ended. The car insurance proceeded to tell me my insurance had expired because Green Dot had rejected a $80 payment when there was $120 in my account, causing me to file an sr22 for 3 years costing me thousands of dollars. They have rejected several charges since including two for my credit card and that credit card closed my account, hurting my credit. I had the money in the account when they did this.
Today I discovered that a shirt I bought with PayPal processed a $31 payment on May 31st when I had over $300 in my account. Talking to PayPal they told me Green Dot rejected the charge. I called to complain, got passed around to several departments and was hung up on by a supervisor. What is this level of unprofessionalism? They told me repeatedly that there was no indication that the charge had gone through on May 31st, despite documents proving they had from PayPal, and held the charge until June 10th when they pushed the charge through once I had spent the $300 thinking the charge had already processed. PayPal won't work unless the funds are available so this all seems impossible.
I can't talk to anyone who speaks English as a first language and I can't file a complaint against the supervisor who hung up on me, just got pointed over and over to June 3rd and June 10th as the dates of the purchase. There is no record of the May 31st payment they just keep apologizing and saying, "Sorry for your inconvenience." This is annoying. I want this investigated and fixed. I don't want an apology. I have solid proof Green Dot rejected the charge even though the funds were available. They also haven't kept the financial records which they are legally obligated to for a number of years, because they have no record of the May 31st charge when I clearly have the evidence the charge processed on that date from PayPal. Bank of America did this kind of transaction manipulation and were subject to a class action law suit.

I dislike having to pay a fee ($3.00} every time I want to load money on the card. I also would like the capability of getting cashier checks through this system but I'm not sure how that could work without a physical bank. I like earning the cash back but a year is a long time to wait to get it. I can live with that however. Mostly please with the card. The only problem that I had a charge on it that wasn't approved. On may, 15 TransUnion put a charge of 21.00 on the card. It is too much of a headache to dispute the charge. It seems you could disapprove, instead of having to log in Web site. Filling out forms. And waiting 5 business days to hear something.

Works fine as a debit, but would be nice if it would start a gas pump. Functioning only as a debit, means going inside and prepaying for gas. Which means guessing how much it will hold. Bit of a pain. I also don’t like that it often displays my account balance on receipts.

I really love this card, it is nice to be able to get cashback when purchasing from Wal-Mart and the gas station (Murphy's USA). I wish that after a year, you could cash in on the cashback rewards instead of only being only to it after a year. I understand the first year of having it, to do it that way, but if I continue on with the card, I feel that I should be able to use those throughout the year when needed. Overall, I love this card and have had no issues with it.

I really enjoy the fact that I can use this just like a credit card. I enjoy the fact that I get my benefits early which is save me a lot of heartache and trouble. I enjoy the fact that I can add cash to it and it doesn't take two or three days to add to the balance of my card. It's almost immediately it may be a couple of minutes but still that's better than a couple of days.

My experience with Walmart prepaid card has been positive for the most part. The hardest thing for me is adding additional money to the card that is not direct deposit. I find the $3 fee is hard to come up with as I am on a fixed income. Other than that, the card is easy to use. I like that there are no overdraft charges.

I've had my card for a long time with no issues. Over a month ago I loaded $500 twice over 2 days. When I tried to use my card it was blocked. I called and was told by I had to confirm my identity. When I tried to submit my proof the site said, "card number not found." I tried several times over few days then it has record of my card number online or over phone. I hadn't had problem with MoneyCard until now. I received an email stating I need to verify my ID so I can use my account again. I follow the Web but when I put in my card number to site will not respond. When I call the MoneyCard number it won't let you talk to anyone and there is 200+ dollar on the card. Now I feel I may have to take legal step to get my money back.

I love my MoneyCard. I get paid 1 day before anyone at my job, there's no monthly charge if you have a certain amount added every month. There is even a way to put money in savings. It can be used online and anywhere that takes Visa or MasterCard.

I recently lost my Walmart prepaid visa card. I requested a new card and asked for the card to be expedited. I was told of the $15 charge for the card to be expedited and I was told the fee would be waived since I was a long time customer. Great. Well the day of the arrival for the card came and went. No card. I called the next day and was told that another card would here today. No card. I called multiple times in that timeframe of a week and was ensured of the card being expedited. When I called and went thru 4 different CSR's the last one told me that the 2 cards I requested to be expedited were sent standard mail. I was also told that I would receive a call from a "supervisor". Waited an hour no call. I called back went thru 3-4 people again. This time I was told that the 2 cards were expedited. So pretty much lies and the runaround. I still have no card and have to wait 2 weeks to access my $.
I was worried about this happening and knew I should have rerouted my direct deposit. But I was given assurances that weren't met multiple times. So now my bills will be late and I have to borrow $ just to get thru. I hate traditional banking and thought this would be a great alternative. It isn't. The customer service is horrendous. Lies and the runaround. I have been a customer for years! So maybe this was just my "luck" & I fell thru the cracks? Well this my 3rd such experience with Walmart prepaid visa. The other 2 times my card was compromised and I pretty much went thru the same thing. The only difference with the other 2 times I was able to get a temp card and $ transferred to it for temp fix. But not this time.
So I am writing this to help anyone else who maybe human and occasionally loses things. If you lose your card you better have a back-up plan. Because Walmart prepaid visa will leave you hanging. That's not to mention the hassle you have to go thru if your card is compromised and the lengthy process of resolving that issue. I wish you made it that hard on the scumbags who compromised my card. Needless to say I am done with this card. Once my new card "magically" appears I will close this account down. 2 weeks of not having access to my $ is unacceptable. At least the last 2 times my card was compromised there was a resolution. Should have followed the old saying fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. So I will accept it being my fault and find a company that takes care of their customers. Esp when it comes to $$$. The card itself works fine. It's the customer service that is horrendous!

I lost my card June 4th and called to get a replacement. They said, "It will be there June 13." I said, "How can I get it sooner?" They said call back in 24 hours to expedite it. So called back the next day. They cancelled the card ordered June 4th which I never told them to and sent another supposedly June 5th and said I would receive it by June 10th. June 10th comed around I get a card. Call and can't use it cause they cancelled it and said another is coming via FedEx, should be here by June 11. June 11th rolls around, no card. Call back. They said wait until June 12. June 12th never get my card. Have to call back to these rude non-English speaking people and have to order another card.
Here it is a week since I have been able to access my money and have not got my card. I have been charged 3 times 24 dollars and still haven't got my card. And they claim there is no supervisor to speak with. It is June 15th and they said I should get it through FedEx on June 18th but can't get me a tracking number with FedEx. You can best believe if I don't have my card by that day I will be contacting my lawyer. I'm not playing with my money. They put me in a hardship with bills and I have kids to feed. Now I am scraping money to make ends meet! I did cancel my direct deposit. I will never use them and I want my money!

This is a great way for alternate to having a checking account. Text message are sometime aggravating with not providing update information but I do appreciated being provided with a daily balance. Trying to find the amount of funds I have left in my account is difficult because the phone reminder does not send it to my phone. I have tried to program it twice, but no luck. I have to go to a ATM to find the correct total. Also the card needs to be a thicker so it doesn’t bend in the wallet.

I have the Walmart MoneyCard for three years but after today I will be canceling this card for good. I don’t like for one how on the Walmart MoneyCard app it shows you places to go for free ATM withdraws but it STILL charges you ATM surcharge fees. I don’t how at ATM it says "no surcharge" and Walmart still charges you 2.50 anyway. I tried to pull $100 out of the ATM with a balance of 102.31, the ATM said I didn’t have enough in my account for the surcharge but the WALMART MONEYCARD STILL pulled the 2.50 out of my account then when I went to pull $80, it’s pulled another $2.50. I’m glad I check my receipts because it didn’t show anywhere in my account that $2.50 was pulled out twice!
After speaking on the phone for 30 minutes and requesting multiple times to speak to a supervisor I was told I had to wait 24 for a review, a review?? My money was stolen and I have to wait to possibly get it back. I’ll try to contact the BBB but I will be closing out this card before my next direct deposit. It’s bad enough my account was already overdraw because of a $5 “monthly fee”. Yes, it was good getting paid two days before payday but it’s so not worth it. $10 or more a month may not seem like a lot but it is to me. I worked on a VERY LIMITED income.

I wish there were more locations for us to withdraw money without fees. There aren't enough Wal-Mart locations to pull from or when I do go into a location there are always long lines making this inconvenient. Perhaps a Wal-Mart ATM would be helpful.

I like how they have 1 day early access of your paycheck through direct deposit. I also like it a lot that you can stash and unstash your own money. I use that quite a lot now. It helps out a lot. I would recommend this card to my family and friends to start them off before trying to get a bank account.

Also if you could add a second account to the app instead of just one. I love having the WM debit card because I don't have to worry about direct deposit or sending money to other WMmoneycardholders when they need it quickly. Doesn’t let me send money and when I do it doesn’t re-burst my card because the money does not get send. It says disable and makes me send it three times and it’s getting annoying. What kind of app is this, barely accepting payment to PayPal or phone numbers but sending money out secretly.

I love the use and convenience of the card. I like the fact of direct deposit and being able to use your money centers in Walmart. Only improvement I might make is to have the chip on the card but I have no problems swiping it. I might also make a link to be able to report suspicious activity directly and instantly rather than the current way which takes a lot of time. I think that would help out your customers greatly. I really have no problems just some suggestions. Like I said I love the card, conveniences, and the cashback offers for using it at your stores. I give it 10 out of 10 being the best and I always promote your card to others.

I love using my MoneyCard for purchases, whether in-store or online with any retailer. It is super easy to use. I have direct deposit, so I have money available 2 days sooner than the rest of my paycheck that goes to my bank on payday. I love that it is accepted anywhere Visa is accepted. There are no usage fees, as long as you deposit at least $1000 each month, but if you don't it is still only $5. This card is so versatile and functional. It is made for people like me!

I would give it a NEGATIVE -0 if I could. My name is Eric **, card ending in **. I had unauthorized transactions on my account, I reported it, and next thing you know. They blocked my card and my account. They asked for ID Verification and I submitted it and verified it. YET MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN BLOCKED AND CLOSED! I don't have access to my funds and that's all that I have. I will be going to the BBB and Attorney General's Office next with my complaint about Walmart MoneyCard. Once your card is blocked, you can't even speak with a agent through their customer service number. It's a BIG SCAM, yet they claim to protect their customers. IT'S A COMPLETE LIE!!

My card experience has been wonderful. Especially when bills try to bill and there is no money available... there is no charge to cause me money problems. Pros: Cashback. A debit card that does offer some kind of rewards, no matter how small the cash back on a debit account is a plus. Ease of access. Generally only carry cash when needed but having the money center open at my local store until 9pm is a plus. Card unlock. Adding the card lock feature as well as being able to set my own pin made this the best card for me. Cons: Certain experiences from the same employees at my local money center had me have to chose another store until that employee was no longer at the money center. Doesn’t work EVERYWHERE. This card isn’t accepted by Uber or Uber Eats. The only two places that I have experienced that wouldn’t. Which is only a minor inconvenience.

I am very happy with my Walmart Moneycard and the ease of the Walmart website to track activity, along with the text alerts after each transaction. Automatic deposits and the Paypal interface work very well. I also appreciate the Vault feature. I haven't had any reason to dispute a transaction but the process instructions tell me that I would probably be frustrated by the time delays. In the beginning, my balance appeared on receipts which I did not like, but that has changed -- so thank you. I am a happy customer :-).

It would be great to have cards with rewards. Also more atm locations with no fees. Some different look on cards, different designs etcetera would be a nice. The ability to earn cash back or points, some sort of bonus would be extremely helpful. Those are our main ideas to make the card and service better than it is right now.

I wish the card was accepted by more places. Chase Bank and car rental places, for example, don't take the account and that can really get in the way when you're out of town and need a car rental. Or are trying to make a car payment when your bank doesn't have a physical location near you.

I am beyond pissed off with the Walmart MoneyCard and their customer service reps over the phone. I ordered a card online and got the routing number and account number from an account 5 years ago sent to me so I got my direct deposit sent to that not knowing they opened up another account and only sent me a card for that one, so all my money got put on a card that I didn't even receive, I have had 2 checks go into the account which they will not let me access, and have had 3 different reps tell me lies about when my card with money on it will arrive, I am now getting hit with hundreds of dollars in late fees from bills.
My family and I are starving with no way of getting anything we need because all I am being told is that they are sorry but sorry doesn't feed us, sorry doesn't get my bills paid and or the late fees caused from all this paid, it's beyond messed up how nothing is being done to get me access to my money. And now to top it off, the card with my money on it finally arrived over 2 weeks later, and now they put a hold on my funds on this one because they sent me a new card because they lied about when the card with money on it would arrive. Something other than sorry needs to be done but they clearly don't care about people's lives or how their mistakes and lack of action is doing to a person/family's life.
I now have 2 cards which neither I can access MY HARD EARNED MONEY from. And have to wait an additional 5 days just to receive yet another card. This is wrong and completely inhumane to do to somebody and their family. Never had a single problem when I had an account with them 5 years ago, but now all this is making me completely regret putting my trust in them with my money. Something needs to be done to make this right, I don't deserve to pay all these late fees, and my family does not deserve to be starved by your mistakes...

I had a tax preparer do my taxes. She ordered the card, gave me the log in info and after that I’d never heard from her, I’d never received the card. I log in to find that thousands of dollars have been spent and I call Walmart MoneyCard, customer service number, doesn’t work at all. I’ve been calling for weeks and it seems as if they shut their customer service down. Don’t use them.

All the above are my experiences so far. Great product. Great service. Secure transactions. Secure ID with the Walmart MoneyCard. So far my experiences have been completely positive. So far no data breach security concerns. So far no Identity Theft concerns. The transactions are processed correctly. No mystery fees, charges, taxes, etc. I like the cash back feature.

Updated on 06/19/2019: Walmart's MoneyCard resolution team stated they tried to reach me do I called them at the number and ext. they provided. The agent stated my second request had been denied already even though it hadn't even been ten days since I had sent paperwork so they hadn't received it. She asked me to fax it and they would reopen the dispute. I faxed the paperwork and called a few days later and spoke with a very rude man who said he had no access to fax. He stated I would have to email it in. He didn't respond to my question of why then was I given a fax number? So now I am going to email the information in. Is this a ridiculous merry go round or what?
Original Review: I recently was denied my dispute with Walmart MoneyCard for about $300. My 5 year old son made unauthorized purchases on Google play. I would never authorize my 5yr old to make any online purchase especially 300 hundred dollars worth in one day! It's clearly unauthorized and what's ridiculous was their reason for denial. They stated it must be authorized because he's my son. Huh? I submitted a dispute form, called, and even provided a police case number. I was actually hung up on by a supervisor at one point. I even sent them my son's birth certificate. Though in their contract it doesn't state anything about relationship or age of the offender. So I don't know why they asked for it. But the whole process denied basic logic and common sense!

My fiance just had a baby and her job provided her with a loan that was deposited on my card. The day after it hits my card gets blocked. I called and was told to provide mine and her driver's license and something from her job stating the deposit was hers and the amount. We provided all these documents. It was only supposed to take 2 business days. It is going on a week. Block is still on there. They keep saying my documents are invalid and just rude. We have sent in exactly what they asked for. I am very dissatisfied, that money was to help make sure my 2 kids had what they needed while the mother of my children was on maternity leave.

The Walmart money card is so easy to use, because it is accepted anywhere that the "Visa" logo is excepted. I like to use my card for online shopping, because I can any load any amount needed, and I able to keep my most of my personal and banking I formation private.

I feel it's the safest card you can have. When you buy something I just put a little more than I need just in case there a scam. Whenever I go on vacation I just load my WalMart card. But I wished it would work international. I go to Mexico every year but most of the time it won't work. But otherwise I think it's the safest credit card you can have. Most of my kids have that credit card as well and many of my friends and family also got one after I explained how well it protects you from really getting scammed. I will have one the rest of my Life.

I'm very satisfied with my Walmart money card I get direct deposit early like it states and it's easy to use. I love that there's an app that helps you keep track of your money and spending. There are also other perks to having the Walmart money card such as cash back you get a percentage of cash back when you shop at Walmart.

I never receive text messages for deposits. When I call I have to enter my full account number and full social security number. It is a pain in the ** and I'm looking to switch companies. With the fees charged statement should be issued.

I love my Walmart card. I get paid 2 or a day before payday. And I love saving money from Walmart. I can take money out from anywhere I want. I love to put money in my card at any register or any store.

I love my card and the perks of having it! The only negative thing is that the card isn't very durable. I would like it if the card itself was a little bit stronger and would last a little more than 3 months.

When I moved I had a hard time changing my address and phone number. It told me to apply for another card but I have direct deposit and would have to go through a long process to change d/p to another.

It is convenient and efficient. I don't like paying the monthly $3 charge. The card is accepted everywhere. I have not had an issue with the card, I use it to book hotel rooms, rent vehicles and make online purchases.

I have liked everything about this card and the convenience has been awesome. BUT when I took some money to WALMART to load onto my card they charged me 3 dollars. That's insane. I'm already paying a monthly fee for the card and I went out of my way to go to WALMART and load money and I get charged 3 dollars. Unacceptable!!!

It is very easy to get a card. I use it for direct deposit. For work as well as income tax. I have never had a problem with either. (Also I would receive my paycheck two days before everyone else that was the nice.) I always tell people they should get a Walmart card.

Wrote and called about unauthorized use of my card. Was supposed to be refunded and still have not gotten my money back. Over $100 taken from my account. Had to get new card. Have not gotten a call updating me or anything, all I want is my money refunded back.

It’s a great way to hold and use money. Just wish it was accepted at more places like Uber eats and Apple Pay. Other than that great card, the 2 days before break helps out sometimes. Maybe have the customizable?

Since receiving my Wal-Mart debit card, I have had mostly good experiences. Customer service is always very helpful and respectful. The app is super easy to access and operate, especially the vault to help you save money. Not only do you save, but you're entered in sweepstakes for a chance to win money for saving!!! Only problem I've had is the false advertisement of free withdraws from any Wal-Mart atm. On the package my card came in, it explained any Wal-Mart atm allowed me to get a balance inquiry and withdraw with no charge. Now I have to go out of my way to purchase something for cash back. This is overall a great card!

Like service... Adds my deposits on time... Allows me to pay my bills on time without having to mail them... I have no personal bank accounts, so Money Card Debit Card allows me to withdraw money, for a small fee, anytime 24 hours a day... 7 days a week.

Honestly I feel as a customer like I’m being robbed. I shouldn’t have to pay a fee to use a Walmart ATM. If in fact it’s a contracted ATM in all locations Walmart should fix this. Soon I will rid the card because I see no beneficial usage at this point.

I love my Walmart MoneyCard. I get paid early and able to stash and unstash money when I need to. There is a lot of convenience with this card. The app is very easy to use and you can always have your account information on you.

I use my card mainly to transfer cash between accounts since my bank is not located close to me. It is a simple process and works well. The only issue I have is the daily limits with the transfer. It could take days to get money transferred because you can only move 500 at a time. This can be frustrating at times. But other than that the service works well.

The only issue I have ever had was disputing a transaction but haven't had any issues lately. But haven't had any issues recently. I really like where I can lock my card when it is not in use. Really nice.

I've been using the MoneyCard for nearly a year now and absolutely LOVE the ease of use, reload and access to cash accessibility. Has just about all the features most BIG BANKS offer minus most of the issues with fees and overdraft related charges. I've never had to deal with customer service, which speaks VOLUMES, as I've never had to call over some ludicrous overdraft charge or hidden fee (usually caused by the bank itself not reflecting certain charges in as close to real time as possible. Tracking money on plastic vs paper can get tricky if funds withdrawals are delayed especially if the bank takes a few days to reflect pending transactions, which has been my prior issue with other banks). The App is user friendly as offers A LOT of very useful features.
Only CONS: Mobile deposit (which realistically should be a major Pro) is delayed by a week. My company doesn't offer direct deposit unfortunately so I was elated to see this feature once I downloaded the app. Womp, Womp, Womp. If I submit a picture of my check Friday afternoon it hasn't been available until the following Friday (tested it a few times, thank goodness I wasn't in dire straits) and once submitted you can't unsubmit and just take it into one of their many stores. If speed of deposit was turned around especially for customers who submit pay stubs from the same company consistently get a faster turn around or even the ability to back out if the fund availability date is too far out there. 2) Can't use with Uber or Lyft. Haven't ran into the issue anywhere else over the past year (Thankfully). Other than those two issues this has been Godsend. And I'm very pleased. Thank You????

It's ok. Could be better. I only uses it for son to get direct deposit cause he's not old enough for his own card. Having to log in and get a verify each time you log in is not cool. Time wasting when you're trying to check balance.

My tax check was deposited into my account April 24, 2019. A block was put on my account because you guys claim that you all needed a check stub for an IRS Tax refund check (which isn't possible because it's a Federal Income Tax Check) so I proceeded to go get all the possible paper from the IRS building in Indianapolis, IN and also all possible paperwork from H&R Block (which is who sent the deposit) and still the block remained so I then called customer service to request that the deposit be sent back to who the deposit came from. Here it is June 5, 2019 Walmart Moneycard is still holding my money, taking their fees and there is still a block on my Walmart MoneyCard and also my Walmart MoneyCard account and you have yet to return the deposit back to who sent it so they can handle the situation properly. My boyfriend card was compromised on the 16th of May for $494 and some change. We filed a dispute the same day we found out it the money was stolen from his account. They said that We would have to wait for a dispute packet in the mail and that could take 3 to 5 business days. Which it took almost 10 business days for us to receive it in the mail. So finally on the eighth day we received the dispute packet in the mail and we filled it out as soon as possible and faxed it to them the same day we receive the dispute packet. Someone spent almost five hundred dollars at a gas! Station!!!! We have found out that the dispute was denied the same day we sent off the fax!!! How can you all Investigate the transactions that were placed in one day. That’s just impossible to me. And we filed a appeal and they said it can take up to 90 DAYS!!! To get his money back which is unacceptable!! We just got pay on the 15th of May!!!!
We have called everyday and no one seems to care about it!! And we always get someone who doesn’t speak clear English!! We have been with Walmart for 6 years and never had a problem with our PAYROLL CARD UNTIL NOW!! I will never use Walmart Money Network card again after this gets resolved and it will get resolved or a lawyer will be contacted!!! You all have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life!!!!

Overall I would have given 5 stars but card security is a huge factor for me and verification of purchases is a big factor in keeping a customer safe from fraud. Furthermore transaction history should show a detailed location of purchase history such as location and address of purchase.

I have no issues using my Wal-Mart money card. My paycheck is deposited onto it and I get paid a day earlier. It's fast and easy to use. I can pay bills or shop online whenever I want. The fees for withdrawing money aren't outrageous either. It's all around a good alternative to having a bank account.

Yes my experiences with it have been all right except for that at some gas stations do not accept the card. The main gas stations that I have problems are Casey’s but other than that it’s easy to use and easy to put money on.

I love my Walmart Money card more than my bank card. It truly helps me save money with the vault feature. The money transfer feature protects my money from being drawn out before I am aware. Plus I never get overdraft fees.

The early deposits are the only reason I’ve kept the card. There shouldn’t be a monthly fee. There are a lot of other cards out there with no monthly fees, a variety of places to reload, and cheaper fees. I’m going to switch soon as I take the time to sign up.

I enjoy using this card. It helps me keep up with my spending and I also get cash back when I spend at Walmart which I do a lot just wish that wait for it was shorter and more. But other than that I love the services and would definitely recommend friends and family to use this card.
