    I've been using this card for several months now. The only thing that I would ask for would be to make them "chip" cards, like other credit and debit cards have, for added security. And make it free to load cash onto the card at Walmart.

    I always use Walmart MoneyCard and deposit money onto my account and never have I had a problem but recently they blocked my account and I cannot access my money at all. They asked me to send them proof of deposit so I did, but it has been two weeks and it's still blocked. Every time I call they say to wait two business days. First person I talked to said it would take 4 hours for the review to go through until I can access my account. This makes me so angry! I need that money to help pay for bills and rent. They do not and will not help you. I can't access my account or my money. This is ridiculous!!

    My card is very hard to use. The strip does not read in card machines. It broke in half and i had to tape after only a few months. The app and the direct deposit is awesome but the card itself is not so good. When I finally got a hold of customer service I could not change my address to get a new card and I understood maybe 20 words in a 30 minute conversation and ended up hanging up. I love the app and how simple it is to use but I have a broken card and no way to get another.

    We love our Walmart Money Card! It is so easy to set up and use. I love that I can check my balance, view my transactions, and get cash back and monitor all of it on one app. The money vault is also a nice bonus to have to save money and possible win more. All around easy to use card and widely excepted. I even use it to pay my credit card payments and other bills! It's perfect to have and convenient to use. I highly recommend this to others to just have another prepaid debit card but one that will work for you and then some!

    I have had a couple Walmart money cards over the last few years and for the most part, it's great. However getting cash out is a pain in the butt! $100 max each transaction.... Very frustrating, otherwise I have to pay a $4 fee to get out more than $100 at a time, which I also think is ridiculous! Please fix this!!

    They take too long to do direct deposit. My job does it a day earlier and they wait till they want to do it and I barely do refunds but I have to. They take long to refund the money and too long to investigate a dispute.

    I have had a lot of issues transferring money from the vault to my checking account. I have also had a lot of issues getting the app to load in general. I have had times when it takes up to an hour for my money to move from the vault to my checking. Overall it has been nothing but issues since I got my card.

    Honestly, this is the worst experience I've had with any reloadable card. They refused to deposit my federal tax refund into my account (despite my state refund being deposited with no problems). Because of this stupidity, I had to wait 10 weeks for the IRS to review me for fraud because Green Dot refused to accept my federal refund. And now that the IRS is finally attempting to send my refund to be deposited for the second time, Green Dot is still refusing to deposit my refund onto my card. The IRS reports that they sent it to the bank, I know my account info I provided is correct, but Green Dot customer service has no clue what I'm talking about when I called to figure out what's going on. I suppose I really shouldn't expect anything differently from businesses who associate themselves with Wal-Mart.

    If I could give them negative stars, then I would. I have been hung up on and talked over from the horror of customer service. I bought a card and my husband had his direct deposit sent to it. They then blocked my card. I have called and called and emailed and emailed. I have sent in the documents over 20 times!! I’ve sent it to verifymydocs@greendot.com. Verifymydoc@greendotcorporation.com and to the MoneyCard. This money is all we have and they are holding it hostage! I’ve asked for a supervisor several times and I get there’s no one else to talk to or I can have them give you a call back. I want a supervisor now!

    Walmart MoneyCard placed a block on my account, l called customer service on 05/03/2019, spoke to a representative and then send the requested information via email to them (who verified all documents were received). I placed a call on 05/06/2019 asking why I still don't have my payroll. Now they say they did not receive the documents and I have to resend. It has been approximately a week and I can't get angry because I am too grief struck about how am I going to pay for my medications and medical supplies. I have already missed 2 days of my medication. Do anybody know a legal way to obtain the funds, if they are held illegally?

    I don't even know where to begin; I am upset, confused and at loss of words. I feel betrayed! on 04/19/19 in the early AM hours my D.D. hits my account. That Friday morning I go to my morning "day" job as normal; 6 AM - 2:30 PM. Then, in the afternoon as normal I go to my 2nd job at Wal-Mart from 4 PM - 11 PM. I didn't have an opportunity to look into my account until that next morning on 04/20/19 when I attempted a purchase at Wal-Mart; card declined on simple $30+ transaction. I was baffled as to my knowledge I just got paid. WalMart MoneyCard website account activity indicated on 04/19/19 their was multiple withdrawals made in Los Angeles. How! when I'm at work. I submitted written dispute and MAILED as requested per protocol. I was denied without reason. WALMART DENIED! my dispute, HOW!

    I contacted customer support for assistance and explanation. I received zero help and instead was hung up on and ridiculed with down talk from Jess (supervisor ID# **). I left conversation confused and angry with the thought WALMART is stealing my money. What else am I to believe or recourse do I have if WALMART 1. will not justify decision with details and documents, 2. NO support via written communication or via phone customer support and 3. unsatisfactory and unethical policies and procedures. I don't know what else to do as I am not rich and obtained a second job to catch up on bills and debt. However, it feels WALMART MoneyCard: Green Dot Bank, has a different agenda.

    I will continue to seek corrective and ethical justice via media and review sites. Please be careful with WALMART prepaid services. I don't wish anyone to be out $500+ or any amount as I am with my family counting on me to put food and utilities in household. I hope I get a response and resolution. TRULY DISAPPOINTING.

    I decided to buy a Walmart prepaid card at the store. I loaded up every time I wanted to use it no problem. Then I seen they advertise that you can get paid 2 days sooner. I decided to give it chance I went to my employer Amazon gave them all the routing and account info. They later did a penny test. I thought okay great everything going swimmingly.

    Then it came time for pay week. I usually get paid Fridays so I figured it be on there Wednesday. Nothing. Then I wanted to Thursday. Nothing. So I am like okay. So I won't get paid sooner. Then Friday came around 4 o'clock in morning central time. I logged in on the app. It says "Your account has been blocked and is pending review" I was angry. I called the 1800 number on the card the rep told me, "Oh it's just our systems wait 4 hours." Giving them the benefit of the doubt. I waited until 7 o'clock central. Logged back in nothing same message.

    So I called again and the rep then stated that it was blocked cause this is my first deposit over 1000 and that I need to verify myself. I then proceeded to take a picture of my ID, my Social, My paystub, picture of me with my ID, my current piece of mail. My problem is why does it take 2 business to verify that I am self. It being Friday I won't hear from anyone until Tuesday. Then they said that if it doesn't happen Tuesday they can give more option. I ask the option where she refused to give them to me. Red Flag. I said, "What If I want you just send it back to Amazon then I can just ask them to cut me a check." I was told, "You would need more verification." I do not recommend Walmart MoneyCard to any. Horrible experience. I will update my review Tuesday so those that are my situation will know the outcome.

    Every time I call and need help, the people are rude, we're struggling through a thick language barrier, and my problems are NEVER resolved. This is the worst bank I've ever had as far as customer service. Guess that's what you get when you're cheap and can't pay for Americans to help Americans. Never have these problems with other well established corporations.

    I am so mad about the experience I have had with the Mobile Deposit function on the app. I have used the MoneyCard for months and have never had an issue until I tried to deposit my paycheck with mobile deposit. I understand that the site states "may take 1-5 business days for check to clear", however I deposited the check on May 1st and customer service told me I would not receive my money until May 8th. I called and called asking to speak to a supervisor. I have left a call back number multiple times and have still not received a call back.

    I have tried to call Green Dot and cannot get past the automated message to speak with someone because it tells me I called the wrong number. I had bills due on May 3rd that I have been unable to pay. Now I have late fees with these companies and I am broke. I have no money for gas, food, or anything. The lady on the phone told me that it "takes 2 business days for them to review checks" then said I would not receive my money until the 8th. That doesn't make any sense! I will be switching once my money is released. I work very hard for my money and cannot be more ticked off.

    This has got to be against some code of conduct or something. To keep it simple I had an account with Walmart MoneyCard and they closed the account due to it having a problem with a transaction. It's been a month and something, and I've been given the runaround with this so called (send my information thing). I sent an email of my information to them at rr@greendot.com since this thing happened around April 1st and it is now May 4th 2019. They have given me the runaround. First it was, "We didnt receive your information" when I sent it to them. Then it was, "you need a specific kind of mail" so thats already two weeks with no updates. Now all of a sudden they need my debit card info. I had to miss paying my bills and borrow money from other people because Walmart MoneyCard wont give me my money out of my account.

    I've been with Walmart for about 10 yrs and this is what they do to their customers. It's not about quality service anymore for these outlandishly poorly managed monopolized companies such as Walmart. It's about staying afloat and skimming off the top. I will never use Walmart or shop there again. Too many have had this issue. If I dont receive my money I will be going to the Fed courts to file a complaint and wherever else BBB. I dont care as long people know that even big businesses are failing people. If we the customer stand up and say something we can protect ourselves from crooked corps and backward service like this with their old ancient policies that they know dont work anymore. Cheap all of them and dont care about it either.

    My card was cancelled after 3 years with money on it because I have multiple cards. No reason. No warning. Tried to get a customer service representative to answer the phone. No response. After 45 min decided to try and find a fax number or something.

    I have been left outside with 2 children because my card was blocked so to my job directly depositing my paycheck. Then I'm asked to verify who I am and I do by email only to tell me that my account will take 2 days to review. My 2 small children and I have been left OUTSIDE to sleep due to not being able to use my card.

    I lost $300 due to transaction fraud. Customer service was very rude and not at all helpful. When I first saw there were fake transactions, I called immediately. I was told there was nothing they could do until I wrote a letter disputing the transactions and then it would be 7-10 days before I got any update. I called to follow up and was given conflicting information each time.

    BOTTOM LINE: Do not get this card. If someone hacks your account, you just lose the money for two weeks until they get around to investigating. Other cards will alert you about questionable transactions. They do not. Other cards will restore you money right away until they investigate. These people make you wait. Customer service is very, very rude.

    I have had a Walmart MoneyCard for almost 7 years. Yesterday I tried to log into my app and it showed my account was blocked. I called the customer service # on the back of my card and was told that my card was blocked due to exceeding the restrictions. When I asked what does that mean they could not give me a direct answer. They released what funds I had on my card but told me when the funds left were used up I could no longer use my card. I have my paycheck direct deposited on this card and now I have nothing. VERY IRRITATED!!!!

    I just had direct deposit on my card and they have blocked my account. When I called they said that I wasn't giving them the right phone number even though I was and it is the number I receive text messages every time there is a transaction. After asking to speak with a supervisor Clark informed me he was the supervisor. Then he cut me off and sent me to an automatic recording that said I had to send a letter to Pasadena California for a dispute. Now every time I call they keep forwarding me to the recording to WRITE A LETTER to Pasadena California. This was the first time I had direct deposit set up on this card and waited 3 weeks for my first paycheck and now they have locked up my money. This is a scam. Don't use this card for direct deposit.

    I have had my MoneyCard for a couple of months and it was great so I decided to change my direct deposit. I received my first direct deposit and my taxes with no issues. My second direct deposit my account is blocked pending further review. So I call and was informed that this was short term and it will be unblocked in 4 hours. Also I had never received the personalized card and was informed that it was sent back to them. Why was it sent back? Can't you send it back to me? "We can but if you reorder a card it will deactivate your temporary card. Either way this can't be done until your account is unlocked."

    After the supposed 4 hours goes by and my account is still locked I call again and this time I'm informed that it's locked because I never activated my personalized card. You mean the same personalized card that you have? The customer service rep informed me that the only next course is to put in a case which takes 2 business days and in the meantime my account is still locked. I'm extremely upset because I have bills that need to be paid and they are absolutely playing with my money with no logical explanation. I will never use this card again after this experience.

    I put $1200.00 on three different Walmart MoneyCards, and so far I can only use one of the cards. I have $700 stuck on two cards, one card with limited functions, and one won't allow me to register it for two business days! I have called customer service and it will not give me an option to speak to a customer representative for either card! I just had a kidney transplant and I need the money off of these cards to pay for the transplant medications. Oh well guess I'm screwed and Walmart doesn't give a damn.

    I stayed 3 night in two different hotels. They all assured me that my deposits would be returned to me at the time that I checked out. The total equals 150.00$. That was the last week of March 2019 and I still have not received my deposit returns. I called Walmart MoneyCard customer service twice the customer service rep said that no deposit has been returned and that I should check with the merchant for a reference number to track the deposit return.

    So here I go reaching out to the merchant which are the two hotels. They assured me that the deposits were released on the days that I checked out and that they had no idea what a reference was and that they never heard of that before. I also asked the Walmart MoneyCard agent what bank was my card affiliated through so I can contact them about releasing the funds he had no knowledge of that info either. I also called Green Dot Money Bank only because they are listed on the back of the card. They told me I had the wrong number. FYI do not charge your hotel visits on your Walmart MoneyCard because your deposits will not be returned.

    I just had my first direct deposit put on to my card and now there's a block. I'm reading other reviews and the same thing has happened to others. Customer service says they have to verify who I am and will take 2-5 business days. That is unacceptable! I need MY money. They are saying the name is different on the deposit than on the account. It's NOT. This is such a scam. And when I ask for a supervisor they say one is not available and sending in my photo ID and pay stub is the only option. I need this resolved NOW not 2 business days.     After a bad transaction gone wrong at a potential dealership I went to get my down payment deposit refunded back to my Walmart MoneyCard. Turns out it declined two times before I decided to leave the store. I spoke to various different reps on the phone. They all told me something different than the next. Some couldn't locate my $1000, mind you I waited since Feb 16 to get my state refund and the deposit as well purchase was made April 23 2019. Unfortunately, the dealership blamed my so called bank and in other words Walmart MoneyCard/Green Dot Bank for the incompetent transactions. So at this point both the dealership and the debit card company are telling me it's an error from vice versa. I'm literally bugged out having a current car repair appointment and first of the month bills rolling in and still I have no money.

    After about a week the dealership was able to get it sent back to my card but yet it's been in a pending phase now for 3 days. This had been the worst experience I've ever had with Walmart MoneyCard. It's difficult with major language and accent barriers at their overseas locations and when there is an issue so many different reps answer so you're practically repeating your issue to an entire group of people. It's frustrating. I finally came across here and found so many other people are experiencing something similar recent. I think this is enough for us to invest in actualized banking. This is not worth the unprofessional hassles. So many of us are left without funds to pay bills, take care of our families, and provide for our kids. This really tops the cake and not to mention my 1000 is still pending and haven't loaded to my card.

An employee fraudulently used my card and it's documented yet I have no resolution from the card company.     I am a quadriplegic. I sent my significant other to Walmart to buy a MoneyCard. I have used Green. Previously she purchased the card. I got the card. Call to set it up. They told me they could not verify my address and who I was and I could not use the card for online purchases or ATM withdrawals. I bought this card because I'm a quadriplegic that is bedridden. It is her birthday coming up in a few days and I put my extra money on this card to buy her presents for her birthday. I really feel like a ** because I'm unable to order her any presents. Now the recording said can only do in-store purchases. I tried to talk to someone. I tried several times. Was unable to speak to. This experience was so frustrating. I would not recommend this card to anyone any longer. Thanks Walmart MoneyCard like my life ain't tough enough already.

    Yesterday I received a direct deposit from my employer to my name and my card was blocked and I do not have access to my money, when I call customer service the automated system tells me that they cannot help me and that I use the application (something I cannot because my card is blocked), on the other hand I have another card that has also been blocked for 1 month without being able to unblock it, I have already sent identification tests 3 times and I still do not have access to my money and when I speak with a representative they close me the call.     I foolishly opened a pre-paid account with Walmart Moneycard back in September of last year (2018). I wished I would've read even a fraction of the negative reviews written by other extremely frustrated cardholders like myself who complained about how the company blocked their accounts for a multitude of unwarranted reasons, claimed that once your Id was sent in and reviewed that the block would be removed YET were left up the Creek when it came time to pay rent because their money was held hostage and the customer service (if you could even call it that) was no help at all... If I had read even one of these reviews, I would've saved myself almost a year of headaches & financial woes thanks to Walmart Moneycard.

    To the point.... as I mentioned, I opened my account (online) in September. I had deposited over $700 the very next day as I understood that I would be able to use my temporary online card while waiting for the permanent card. 5 days later after receiving my personalized card, I called the number provided to activate my card but was greeted with a recorded message stating that my account could not be activated and I was to call customer service. After doing so, I was advised that my account was "blocked" due to suspicious activity, which blew my mind considering I hadn't even activated my card yet. Nonetheless, like MANY others, I was asked to email a copy of my driver's license to an email address given and told my card (after ID review/apprpval) should be unblocked within 5 days.

    10 days later (I gave extra time) I once again called and was asked AGAIN to send in my ID... only this time I was sent a link to the document uploader which I COULD NOT use due to the fact that the 1st item requested is your card number and when I entered mine, it said that the card was not valid (obviously since it was blocked before activated).

    I sent my ID in to the email address ALONG with the case #'s (as requested) a total of 4 times over the next month with No avail. I started corresponding with customer service via the app after getting extremely frustrated being told the SAME time multiple times AND being told that I could not speak to a supervisor because "there wasn't one." I also expressed my dismay with the fact that I now was incurring the $5 monthly service charge & I did not believe this to be fair seeing that I was doing EVERYTHING I was asked while my card remained blocked keeping me from my MUCH needed money but yet I had to pay Walmart $5??

    I received a response email from a representative stating that I would receive a "one-time" reversal of said service charge due to the circumstances. I figured this wouldn't be an issue after that as it should've been resolved by the following months... WRONG!!!! To date, I have officially incurred $25 worth of monthly service charges yet am STILL BLOCKED FROM MY MONEY!! I stopped receiving responses to my MANY pleas begging for assistance one this matter and in fact filed a complaint with consumer affairs well over a month ago and received ZERO follow up from that either.

    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!! I am meeting with my attorney tomorrow to discuss what possible legal avenues I may have to travel but would REALLY Just love to get my money and forget this whole thing ever happened. I'm sure that everyone NEEDS access to their money but during this horrible experience, I also endured a much worse life experience with the death of a child & begged customer service for assistance rectifying this as I desperately needed my funds to lay my baby to rest but as I said, I received no assistance at all.     I was extremely happy to find the prepaid Walmart Moneycard. We all know the struggle of dealing with banks and over draft fees. I've always gotten my direct deposit on time. (Actually a day earlier than my real pay day). Today I went to buy my son some chips and put gas at Circle K and the cashier said they don't accept this card (weird because I've used it at Circle K numerous times) I asked him to run it again and we got the same results. I then log into my account to find out there's a temporary security block on it. I call customer service, one person hung up on me. And no one was able to tell me when the review would be complete and my funds would be available. They couldn't even give me an estimated time frame.

    This is very disappointing and I'm extremely upset because every penny to my name is in my account that I no longer have access to. I have one 4 year old son and a 2 year old as well that I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to feed without access to my funds. I have no gas to get to work now and no way of providing my children with lunch at child care. I never keep cash on hand because I've never had this issue with Walmart Moneycard. I understand that the account has to be reviewed and they are just trying to protect my account but they should have a set time frame on how long this can take.

    My work uses a company that allows you to advance money and I was doing that fine with the Walmart card. But when the rest of my paycheck went into the account the card blocked my account and now I can't get my money. This happen 4/25/19. I called the number on the back of the card and they told me they couldn't verify my identity and said to send information. I sent the information and called them back to confirm that they got my information which they said they did. And they told me on Friday that they would have an answer on Tuesday. So I call back Tuesday and they tell me they didnt get my info. I informed them I sent it. The lady looked and found it but said it would be another two days. This is my whole paycheck and none of the people I talk to will give me a straight answer. This card is just ridiculous.

    The Green Dot Bank used by Walmart is not an actual bank, so it is not recognized by credit unions or normal banks. This makes the Walmart MoneyCard useless. Folks cannot add money to it online. Nowhere is this noted in the instructions.

    Refund of $95.98 accepted but not credited to my account. I have been a Walmart MoneyCard customer since 2009 and with exception to this particular issue have had nothing but great things to say about the card or their customer service agents. I ordered a massage table through Walmart.com on February 22 of 2017, I closed my account with Walmart MoneyCard in March of 2017. I never received the table I ordered from walmart.com and after waiting an extended period of time to see if the order would arrived walmart.com agreed to issue a refund.

    We have been going back and forth between Walmart Money and Walmart.com ultimately on March 21,2019 walmart.com did a forced refund to my closed Walmart MoneyCard. Walmart.com sent me proof and provided me with transaction numbers, approval codes, date and time stamped showing a successful refund and acceptance number was given from Walmart money card to Walmart.com as well.

    To this day Walmart MoneyCard claims they never received the refund, refuse to review the documents supplied by Walmart.com or to assist me in locating what happened to my money. I just got off the phone with a supervisor who refused to ask anyone else to help with this issue and ultimately told me that there's nothing anyone with Walmart MoneyCard or Green Dot will do to help me and abruptly hung up on me. I have been calling Daily between Walmart.com and Walmart MoneyCard daily and getting nowhere. I just want the money I'm owed to be sent to me and I am shocked at how this is being handled by Walmart MoneyCard and Green Dot Bank.

    On April 1 2019 there was a fraudulent overseas charge on my card. I called and filed a dispute with the bank. The call was difficult because the people on the other end were not speaking English very well. Two weeks later there were several charges made to Italy again. Again another go round over the phone and another dispute filed. The first dispute was denied so I refiled with all of the charges on one dispute. The total was $732. Again I was denied. How can they get away with this? I did not make charges to Italy. What is my recourse? I live paycheck to paycheck and can't afford the bank to let someone charge $732 on my debit card. This has caused me so much distress. I truly feel violated by this bank that is apparently FDIC insured. What is my recourse? $732 is over a week's pay for me.

    Hi there. I switch to this card because of the other cards having higher fees but both cards that I had prior to this always gave me my direct deposit 4 days earlier because of the government benefits. It is now the 4th day prior to my normal day 6:00 p.m. Eastern time and still no direct deposit. I know that you guys always say, "Will give it to you when we get it or when we get it," but I've contacted SSI and they've told me they've sent out everything to all banks on its 25th so I really don't want to keep hearing a scripted answer about "Will send it to you when we get it." You guys must know more and must know what batches go out.

    Netspend which was by MetaBank was able to tell us one day is 1 batch and the next day is another batch. I'm not liking this customer service experience so far and I'm not liking that I did not receive my direct deposit four days prior as told if you have government benefits. Has anyone else on here received their government benefits four days prior to the original date?

    Updated on 05/03/2019: I had my card misused for over $700.00. I did dispute it and first was told it will take 7 business days, then was told 10 business days, now that it is 10 business days I am told 45 business days. Why would I spend all my money at a grocery store, not in the state I live. I do have other bills besides food. I tried to use my card at a store 20 minutes from my home and you blocked it, I had to call so I could use my card at this store.

    But you can't block my card when it is being used 1,000 of miles away from me. My card was used the same day I put a deposit on it. It's hard to be in 2 places at once. I am very disappointed. I have had my card for 4 years. It's been hacked 3 times. I would not recommend this card for anyone. Yes, it's convenient, but it's not worth someone else taking your money and you having to fight for months to hopefully get it back.

    Original Review: I have had a Visa Walmart MoneyCard for 4 years and have had it hacked 3 times! The first time my claim was denied, even though I was in the USA and someone purchased a train ticket in another country! Took me months and a call to corporate to get it back. I am fighting a dispute now. I loaded money on my card in one state and it was used later that same day in another state. This is not a secured card. I will NEVER use this card again. And anyone I know who has one I will let them know how awful this card and your customer support is. This was all the money I had, but none of you seem to care. Oh they did leave me $1.76.

    If I could give this company zero stars I would. My card information was stolen a couple of months ago in February. I filed a dispute which took over a month and a half to refund. During the process my card was locked and I couldn’t access the money in my account. The charge was reversed however my account is STILL blocked to this day. It’s almost MAY and the only resolution is to have a refund check mailed out to me. In order to receive that check AFTER the funds were reversed I had to provide documentation which NO ONE notified me about. I had to call in a few days after the charge had been reversed to find that out.

    It’s been over two weeks and still no check has been sent. Upon speaking with various reps who can only tell me they’re sorry and the same process, I was notified that my check was created on the 24th of this month, April, and it takes 2 weeks and 4 business days to be mailed out - RIDICULOUS. As if this process hasn’t dragged out enough they wait until the last minute to do anything. I will never use this service again. I don’t even shop at Walmart anymore after this. It’s been almost 3 months with no access to my money, one including a direct deposit from my job. This company disgusts me and I’ll tell anyone to never use this service. If they prefer to be valued as a human with actual need for their money, USE AN ACTUAL BANK.

    We have no access to our new card because we don't remember the phone number from years ago. Tried to update the info with customer service, giving all our personal information (birthday, social) and because we don't know this phone number, they can not issue a new card, or tell us how we are supposed to fix this. Our card expires in a week, and they are of zero assistance. Direct deposit goes to this account, and all our bills are paid through this account. Going to cancel it all, and bank elsewhere.

    I used a Walmart prepaid Visa. It was loaded with a certain amount so when I made my purchase it was enough. My transaction was denied and my money held. I spoke with the merchant who confirmed on their end monies was not collected and noticed was sent back to Walmart same day with a time. Walmart on the other hand claim they received no such notice and I have to wait over 2 weeks to see if my money is available again on my card. Why do I have to wait so long when the money was available in the first place to make the purchase? Let me also state that I make this same transaction at least 4 times a month using the same card and same method and exact same amount of loaded funds and use.

    I also added in extra to cover the monthly fee. My card was not in the negative. I'll state that before someone claims that was the reason. I have used this card for almost 8 weeks now. Your customer service staff are nice but sound like overseas robots. They just repeat themselves saying that the merchant has to release the funds yet I have the date and time when the merchant did so they repeat that it will be over 2 weeks to get my money back then repeat all over again. Once I get my money back I will no longer use Walmart MoneyCard. I prefer using prepaid cards for certain online purchases for security reasons but I think I'll just risk using my debit or credit card from now on.

    My husband and I had brought this card thinking that this would be simple to use. We put it in my husband's name and I went and had my job direct deposit my check on to the account. Well the first time my job does this they freeze it saying that it's because of the amount the first time we call. The second time it's because it's in my husband's name and not mine then proceeded to tell me that it will take up to two business days to get the problem fixed. This business is a sham and nobody should get this card. I am going to get my money off this card and close the account. And I'm telling all my friends and family not to buy this card.

    My Walmart MoneyCard was blocked today because I had a direct deposit over $500. Now I have to send a copy of my ID & paystub to fraud department & it’s gonna take at least 2 business day to process. Meanwhile I have No Cash on me & Over $1500 on my card that I cannot use!! How am I supposed to live through the weekend & go until Tuesday with Zero $?? This is Unbelievable!! I’m so disappointed & upset. I have bills to pay plus the gas & food I can’t pay for. I've even had a Walmart manager call the 800 # and couldn't get the right information.     These people that you get when you call the MoneyCard number is a joke. We had my wife's direct deposit going in an account but they froze the card on a Wednesday and told us they would not unfreeze it until Monday although we have sent them the documents they need. I am very sick and I am on oxygen. I told them my electricity was getting turned off because of the freeze and they acted like they could care less. Now all my money is on hold and on top of that I have been waiting over 20 minutes just to talk to someone... My concern is that this is a prepaid card so why block my card for further review after all my money is just sitting on this card.     Horrible service. Wal-Mart MoneyCard froze my card because of my direct deposit. I called to speak to a supervisor to have it resolved. First he told me he was a supervisor. Then he was not able to transfer me to a supervisor. He could not tell me the issues with my direct deposit. Could not provide me with another contact number. Apparently it is for a wherever they are located and all he could say was it will be fixed sometime today. I will not use Walmart services again.

    Worst product and service ever. Had 18 fraudulent claims in one day out of California. I live in New Mexico, work for a living. Groceries and clothing stores, someone had a fantastic shopping spree. I withdrew money the same day in New Mexico. How would I travel that far with groceries? Emailed in a dispute after calling and getting my card cancelled immediately. No response for weeks. Called in, dispute has been declined. For what? Oh, we sent you a letter 3 weeks ago. Never received it. Now I'm having to go through the whole process again and provide proof. Proof is how the hell would I withdraw money 1500 miles away from where the fraud took place. I just want my money back and a new bank. Don't waste your time on these guys.

    I received my Walmart MoneyCard and decided to put part of my direct deposit on the card to give it a try. My money was deposit on my card that Thursday, true enough received it 2 days before payday. My first time using the card on the following Monday and my card declined. Long story short someone had took my money by doing money transfers. Walmart assigned 2 people with same bank account. My direct deposit went into someone else account and they used my money. Now I'm being punished and have to wait 10 days until they investigate something they messed up.

    I ordered this card simply to have my paycheck direct deposited on it. Today my check was deposited and my account was automatically locked and I have been denied access to my own paycheck. I called twice and was told to send my driver’s license and pay stub. Which I have done. Twice. And they confirmed those documents were received. And my account is still locked. Their call center swears up and down that there is no supervisor available for me to speak with. That is impossible for a call center. Everyone has a supervisor. They swear there is no other number for me to reach out to and that someone will call me back. Which also hasn't happened.

    I am beyond angry and upset. Obviously I don't have great credit to get by on until my next check which WILL NOT go on this card. So now my family has no groceries and our bills are going to be late. IF they ever release my funds I will be withdrawing the total and cutting this card into little pieces. Green Dot will never get my business again. Please use ANY other company. Don't trust that you will receive any money you deposit on your Walmart MoneyCard. STAY AWAY!!!

    I have been using this card for over a year and until recently had no problems at all. A day or so ago I lost my card and was told that they could only send a replacement to my old address. Obviously will not work for me. They say they need proof of residency but I just moved and will not be getting a bill for at least two weeks. I called the number provided on the website and only once was I able to talk to a real person. She told me that all of my money will stay in this account until I jump through the hoops. Didn't care at all that I obviously need my funds to ya know keep living. What bothers me most is I gave her ALL of my info. Card number, acct number., old address, even verified SSN and they still can't help me at all. There has to be another way to get my funds from my account faster.

    Love having my prepaid money card. The vault has helped me save money. I work at a dental office and it’s a corporate office in a poor area so I don’t make that much.     I had my wife deposit her funds from work onto the MoneyCard and my card got blocked, thus having $747, being stuck in the card and the other deposit got rejected. For a whole we have been going in circles with the verification and also the call center trying to get the issue resolved. Worst part is, my wife works for Walmart, and this is their product... I am still waiting for resolution and wish we can access the money that is in the card and to deposit money into the account... but it seems that they don't want my business.     I walked into my local Wal-Mart to purchase prepaid card to pay my car insurance bill. I was assisted by the greeter to the money counter where the cards were on a stand. I selected a visa card and went the cashier to pay for it and to put $200 on it. I walked out of the money counter and sat on a bench to call the number on the card to verify it.

    The lady who answered my call had such a thick accent that I could hardly understand what she was telling me. She asked me questions to verify my identity, they were multiple choice questions. I tried my best to get what she was saying, and to the best of my knowledge I answered her questions honestly. Then she switched me to a recording that said "since we could not verify your identity, we will not send you a personalized card, and you cannot reload this card, nor can you use it for any online purchases."

    It went on say what I could not do with the card but it was a recording so I knew I could not get a reply from it, then it hung up on me. I tried to call her back but could not complete the call. My unverified identity stopped me from doing anything with Wal-Mart. Now I cannot pay my car insurance and I have $100 on a card that I cannot reuse. How can I prove to Wal-Mart that I am who I say I am? Please help.

    I received my income taxes on my Walmart MoneyCard. Once I received them I removed most of the money from my account. I left about 400$ in my

    Account. I did not have to use my card frequently so one day I noticed a charge for 306$ That was on my account that I did not authorize. I then realized I lost my card. I immediately called customer service on March 10th to dispute this transaction. It Is now April 23rd and I’m being told after receiving my dispute forms they needed my investigation was extended to 45 days and that I would have a resolution by April 26. I’ve called to speak to a supervisor several times and never have. I’ve left a Call back number several times and never received a callback. This is a huge inconvenience and I would not recommend this card service to anyone.

    I set these cards up as an exchange student because I didn’t have US bank account to pay accommodation and it would have been easier to walk into a bank and set one up. This experience has been a nightmare. I can’t cancel the cards because the balance is negative and I can’t reload them because more than 6 WEEKS after I made my purchase and paid my accommodation they hadn’t sent me the actual cards with my name on them which I apparently need to cancel the account.

    Unless you have weeks and months to wait around for Walmart to get it together DO NOT GET THESE CARDS as a easy solution. The idea of it was perfect but this has been a nightmare and I cannot recommend this to anyone. Nobody from Walmart has been helpful and I can’t get a customer service PERSON on the phone to help me. I leave in 3 weeks and am worried what will happen if I can’t get them canceled before then.

    Received TWO of these prepaid cards on the same day with no explanation. Even more confusing because I never shop at Wal-Mart and the last time I was in one at all was before I moved to my current address. After finding where to report card fraud, lady on the phone told me just to 'not worry about it' According to the telemenu, fraud should have been able to give me information about where and when the card was requested but instead the woman on the phone became combative and refused to answer any questions, just repeating over and over again "don't worry, cut the card in half, we'll use this information to block other requests."

    Clearly not concerned at all about preventing actual fraud and at best just blind mailing people cards in the hope that they'll use them. At worst completely uninterested in investigating fraud and unwilling to help me determine if someone out there had stolen my identity and I needed to put a freeze on my credit. One more reason to never shop at Wally World and now a big giant red flag for whatever mickey mouse operation 'Green Dot Bank' is for supporting these kinds of practices.

    I've used my Walmart MoneyCard for many purchases before but upon the last one the purchase had to be refunded - this is where things got murky. I am being told by customer service that they can't release my refund until the 30th of April (order was cancelled by guitar center the day after purchase and guitar center never actually took the money out)... Even after informing their customer service department that this whole scenario is throwing my employment into jeopardy I still received the same mantra. I will never do business with these people again and warn anyone else away. By the way - in the event that I DO lose my job I will be filing legal action.

    Updated on 04/24/2019: Yes, I was contacted by them. I returned their call and have again gone through all of their steps to dispute the charges. We still have no resolution and have not received any of our money back! However, I am grateful for ConsumerAffairs because before I posted the review I was not able to talk to anyone, now at least I’m able to talk to someone.

    Original Review: Over $800.00 unauthorized charges were charged to our card. Called to dispute and still have no resolution. All they can tell me is it’s being disputed. Does it really take 6 weeks to dispute charges from a foreign country, when at the same time I used the card at a store in my town. When asked to speak to a supervisor I was told one was not available, every time I’ve called. All of the several reps I have spoken to have a foreign accent and are very hard to understand. I don’t know why they would have allowed charges in another country, clearly they were not ours. Fearful that money is just gone. My advice steer clear from using this card.

    We fell victim to a card skimmer at a local gas station. That evening our account was compromised of $47, we cancelled the card immediately that were in our possession. Walmart MoneyCard dismissed it as "Authorized" because they used a PIN. We don't need the $47 back to live, it's the fact you are federally insured and that's why people trust you with their money as we did. It's the fact that we gave you location of the skimmer and there are many many police reports regarding that same station same day and same situation and same skimmer. Yet your phone staff could care less and just say "Too bad sorry sir it was authorized". Hire better investigators and staff or get out of the banking game. We will be pursuing this further and hope you guys make this right on your end.

    I’ve had money card for a while and was enjoying everything about it until I went to rent a U-Haul and the lady ran my card twice accidentally. This was March 10th of 2019. The fist hold of 200 dollars was put back within 2 days but the second charge hold was 384.36 and I disputed it with the U-Haul but they said, "Call MoneyCard," so I did and they said it takes 90 days to get back. We weren’t able to make deposit for our new house because we were on a tight budget. Luckily my parents were able to help and with a nightmare of a couple days living in the U-Haul we got into our new place. Today is March 19th 2019 and we have yet to get our funds back and Walmart money card is still charging my card so I’m overdrawn 131 bucks. To say the least I’m disappointed in Walmart’s system and once the money comes back I’m reluctant in continuing service.

    I attempted to make a purchase with a retailer who immediately cancelled the order. Never even fulfilled or began processing it. They refunded the money to my WMMC but the charge is still pending on my account and still has not been added back to my balance. WMMC takes their time giving you back your money. $400+ purchase still pending two weeks later. The only good thing about the card is the direct deposit. Customer service and security is terrible. They take their time. One rep didn't even know what a money order was when I inquired about the daily limits. I just want my money reversed. The retailer been refunded so why haven't y'all?

    A $100 Walmart Visa Debit card was given to us while my wife was in the hospital. We are just getting around to attempting to use it but the card says it's expired 8 months ago. I have called Customer service 3 times trying to register the card, in the store, and online. At this point they are asking for a full receipt of the purchase and a screenshot of the rejection from online. It was a gift to my wife so we have no records. This card is a scam unless you use it right away and are well versed in Walmart Debit card rules. For us, this was my first experience and now my last. They just got a free $100 but hardly worth the loss of my future purchases. Customer service is reading from a script and not able to get past the surface of any issues. Even after speaking to a Supervisor, same results. Not to mention registering the card takes about 25-30 minutes and they require your SS # and a lot of personal information. A little scary these days.

    I have had my Walmart MoneyCard for over 7 years now and never had an issue until this week. I purchased a new card back in March so that I could set it up for direct deposit. My first check that came through they blocked it for 4 hours stating that a large deposit came through on my account and they had to verify it. That money was released in the 4 hours but I couldn't understand why the block especially with a direct deposit coming in from an established business like a hospital. Then this week when my direct deposit was due to come in, I checked the mobile app and it said "account closed". I called the customer service and spoke to one customer service rep who told me that there was a large deposit coming through on that account and that there was fraudulent activity so the account was blocked.

    I was shocked and surprised so I asked her what was the fraudulent activity then she placed me on hold. She came back and said that she was going to transfer me to someone else. That lady told me that my account was closed due to fraudulent activity so I asked her what was the fraud... What was the activity on my account that fraudulent. I could hear her typing then she said that all she sees is that there was a large deposit coming through on my account. Now by then I angry and I told her that was my direct deposit from my job and it's only $730 and that not that large so what is fraudulent about that. She then stated that she just sees that there was fraudulent activity on account and said something about someone using my identity. I'm sorry but by then I am furious because I want to know the fraud.

    I had just used my card that morning at a 7-11 so I couldn't understand. My card is always with me in my wallet so what happened. They never could explain to me what happened and what was the fraud. The lady said they sent my check back to my employer and that I need to go to the store and get another card. I told her I will never use another Walmart card again. My mom and daughter just got a card from them not that long ago but now they won't use it either. I can't understand why no one called me especially since my phone number is on file to check with me if they thought something was fraudulent. I can't understand why they couldn't explain to me what was the fraud on my account. I am very upset and now have to wait until next week to get my check.

    So I put money on a new card and then called to "verify my identity." WHY. I just put money on the card, that money belongs to me. So anyway they claimed that they could not verify my identity. Does that mean that they know better than me what my address, telephone number, SSN, etc., is. And then they wouldn't let me get my money back. I just don't understand this. All I can think is that I gave the wrong address because I'd just moved. BUT I JUST PUT THAT MONEY ON THE CARD THAT DAY. It doesn't make sense to me that I don't have instant access to it, because I put CASH money-legal tender-on the card. I WILL NEVER USE THIS HORRIBLE SYSTEM AGAIN. This is just another disgusting example of exploitation of poor people with mediocre credit, who are unable to get a checking account.

    While sitting at home on my couch I began receiving notifications thru my app that purchases were being made on my card in Tampa Fl. I live four hours away. I of course immediately call and have my account locked. The crooks got away with about 500 or so dollars at a Best Buy and a restaurant. I was unable to file a dispute until the charges cleared which I did immediately. Now I’m told the charges were valid. I then call and ask how so and the CSR has no answers and apparently no upper management that I can speak with. It’s one thing to be robbed by complete strangers but I expect more out of my card provider's customer service. Now it feels like I’ve been robbed twice!!!

    The customer service is a complete joke as is the non existent tech support. Another bad Walmart Joke. Over charged on the load and monthly fees but refused to get a supervisor for me. Was supposed to get an email code to order paper checks but the alleged code also non existent. This card is a joke.     My husband has had a Walmart MoneyCard for approximately 10 years. Years ago, We had a problem with someone using the card in another state. They refunded the money easily. However, last month, somehow, someone got a hold of my husband's card information and charge around $250 on his account. We reported the unauthorized charges to the Walmart on the very next day. They refused our claim because we had used that day and the charges local, not out of state. These were stores we have never been to. So, Beware they will they do not protect your money and think you are lying even after being a good customer for 10 years. My husband's card is going to be cancelled and never again will use the Walmart MoneyCard by Green Dot Bank. A very disappointed former customer.

    The worst experience ever. Been a customer for years. Moved, lost my wallet and needed to update my address. They froze my account. I’ve sent emails with my new ID, utility bills, passport and they still won’t help. All my money is just sitting there because they refuse to send a new card to my new address. Customer service is awful. Send them new emails and they take 2 days to just decline documents again, saying they can’t read them.     Last representative got upset and said, "Is that it?", and hung up. They don’t care about keeping their customers and they will hold your money hostage without prompt resolution. Just beware. You could have all of your money held up for who knows how long or if you’ll ever get it back. They take advantage of the fact that no one has anywhere to go to get their money from them. Don’t listen to their replies saying they try to contact you and resolve anything. They don’t. I even was hung up on twice. I’ve sent the documents 5 times now. Luckily I remembered my PayPal was linked and I just withdrew it all and changed my direct deposit so NEVER again. There is a big reason the reviews and comments are turned off on their Facebook pages. Anyhow 3 weeks without access to my money and ZERO resolution help from them. I’m going to follow through with my promises and file complaints with every agency I can.

    I got this card because it was offered by the company that I filed my taxes with since it was convenient. The first issue I had was when it came to getting my cash back rewards which is in excess of 100.00. They told me that I have to wait 12 months to get the cash back. What a ripoff! Then I had contacted money services to dispute a transaction. I had been trying to contact the merchant for an item that I order on March 1st, 2019. The merchant failed to send the item after I was told that it would be shipped. Finally after almost a month, I decided to dispute it on March 28th.

    I was told that I needed to send in a letter with the name of the merchant, amount, last 4 of my card number, my name and email with my signature. I sent it in certified mail on April 9th. So today is April 11th and I called to check on the dispute only to be told that the dispute was closed on the 4th and was denied. I was told by Annie employee # **, that there is nothing that they can do and that I need to contact the merchant. Who by the way blocked me on social media and put my email in spam! I’m basically losing 150.00 and they refuse to help. I’m disappointed.

    I have two cards, one MC and one Visa with sizable balances. Both have been locked since Dec and can't get any help to unblock. I get a message saying I need to upload my driver's license to the website, then enter the card number and get a response. It's already been uploaded and awaiting review, check the main website for updates. I have emailed my driver's license, front and back to IDV@greendotcorp.com to no avail. This is a total scam to seize funds and hope people give up and forget about it. What a nightmare!!!

    First of all, I do not like there is no way to call and speak to someone. I had a terrible time trying to find where to pre auth a check last month. Tried every option and figured there was no pre auth any longer. Well the check did not clear. Few days later, received a email stating that pre auth was no longer required. So we wrote a check recently on my wife's acct and the check did not clear, due to not being preauthed. We wrote a check from her acct on the same day, without preauth, and it cleared (3 days after the one declined). We cannot afford the bad mark nor the fees with these creditors for our check declining. Therefore we will find different companies for our banking.

    On Feb. 27, 2019 an unauthorized transactions was done on my account. I contacted Walmart MoneyCard and disputed the transaction which they denied a week later. They closed the account and sent me out another but I told them the address had changed and they still sent it to the old address. When I contacted them letting them know I still haven't received my card they told me they couldn't send another card they had to closed the whole account. They told me to send them verification to two email address one for the address changes (verifymydocs@greendotcorp.com) and for my refund check because I still have $389.07 on the account they closed so I emailed them verification to email address (rr@greendot.com), I emailed them on 3/19/2109.

    As of 4/9/2019 I still haven't received my money and when I call the customer service representatives are soooo rude and all they do is hang up on you. I just spoke to someone again today. She said her name was Gizelle and she was a supervisor. She didn't look into anything. All she said was they created a claim to have a manager contact me and they couldn't look into my case. I even talked to Gizelle last night and she told me I should receive my money by the close of business day. 4/8/2019 still no money.

    It's like they keep giving me the run around and no manager is calling me and when I call the CSR are so rude and they are not willing to help at all. I would advise anyone not to ever get a Walmart MoneyCard and if you do and have the account closed due to unauthorized transactions please know that you will never receive the money off that card and they are not willing to make sure you get that money. I have contacted the BBB and let them know also what is being done and how rude they are.

    Two things: first the card does not work at pay at the pump at gas stations. I have another card similar to WM card that does work at pay at the pump. Second, the promotion at the beginning of the year for new card members that entitles them to $100 credit for opening a new card is a real blow to existing members. We get NOTHING.     I like the Walmart MoneyCard. I had it for over 5 years but there are some down sides. 1 top issues is the Walmart MoneyCard reload fee is too expensive. $3.++. It would be nice if we could reload the card at Walmart for free because it is a "Wal-Mart Money Card". The "Bluebird card" by American Express reload fee is $0 at any Walmart cashier and NO monthly charge fee and reload amount is as low as $1 but with Wal-Mart money card you have to load $20 or more, get charge for a reload fee $3.++, and has a monthly charge. As a low income member $3.00 reload and monthly charge fee is a lot for me. Walmart MoneyCard should have a $0 reload fee at walmart and minimum amount should be $1.00.

    I have been using the Walmart Moneycard for around 8 years now to receive my direct deposits from my work and up until this year I have had Zero Complaints about them, but here within the last 2 months I have not been able to access my online account to transfer funds between my account and my vault because when I go to log into my account even though I have the correct Username and Password I cannot access the account still because it wants me to verify my phone or Email with a verification code which it never sends.

    I have contacted Customer service multiple times and have multiple case numbers pertaining to this situation because every time I contact them they say they are looking into the situation and have contacted their technical support team and then they send me an email saying the issue has been resolved. I retry and same thing happens. Finally I called them today and asked to speak with a Supervisor instead of a regular representative. We used a different browser, still same thing happened, Tried the APP for my Android Phone. Still no luck. Tried my browser on my Phone, No luck. She sent the report to their corporate offices and they are going to try to figure out what is going on with the situation and get back with me. I am still hopeful, but hope is fading fast. I don't know what to do here. I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else so far. I don't know...

    So on March 30th 2019 I noticed several unauthorized transactions on my card totaling around $100. The company where those transactions were made have already refunded my money. However, Walmart MoneyCard has not. I have received and activated my new card yet when I call customer service regarding this, I'm told it could take up until April 30th before I have access to my money. I think this is ridiculous, if the company where the fraudulent transactions were made can refund my money within 24 hours, why can't you release my money now instead of forcing me to wait three weeks. I have kids to feed and you're holding my money hostage. No matter the outcome, you have lost a customer Walmart MoneyCard.

    On February 27, 2019 I filed a dispute for 3000$ that had suddenly disappeared off my account, I have did many disputes with Green Dot but they keep denying my dispute.     I've been a Walmart MoneyCard customer for a couple of years now and I have never had a problem until now. I receive my social security check using the MoneyCard and do all my shopping there. In February 2019 it showed I had $29 and charge on my CASH BACK TRACKER and I was at 11 out of 12 months. In March 2019, it showed 11 out of 12 months. I decided to wait until the end of the month to cash out. Imagine my surprise that it didn't change and April 2019 I'm seeing 11/12 months still. I've called customer service several times and got the run around. One Rep advised the system was down and I just had to wait. I've tried contacting them on social media, to no avail. Please help.

    I have been using Walmart MoneyCard for about a year. Everything was going smoothly until 3 weeks ago I noticed fraudulent charges on my card. I contact customer service got my card replaced and went through the dispute process. Even after sending them everything they wanted and then some they declined my dispute and the fraudulent charges stayed. I would not use this place 'cause you have to jump through many hoops and you the thieves get to keep the money in the end. What a rip off.     BEWARE OF A GARBAGE SYSTEM WITH LITTLE TO NO QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I researched all prepaid cards and decided to purchase and put $165 on a pre-paid Master Card (MC). I entered in all info by phone, online and no matter what I tried they system would only authorize a temporary card which is worthless with all the Federal Regulations that apply.

    I tried the same with the pre-paid Visa card with no better results. I went to the service desk and they would not give a refund, however I am sure Walmart would have loved for me to get frustrated and just spend the money in their store. I then went and purchased the same items 2 separate times to then go and return the items to the customer service desk to get my cash back. One of the managers said the money was supposed to go back on the faulty cash card, however I recommended they give me the cash back unless they wanted me to stand there and waste the other half of my day.

    I spoke with Walmart customer service, which escalated the call to Green Dot Bank Corporate office. I spoke with Nancy who could only say Sorry and could NOT provide any solution, quality feedback or compensation for time wasted on their faulty systems. I went back to Wal-Mart, purchased a GoBank Card, which I is also Issued by Green Dot. This time I only put $20 on it + the $2.95 fee and I was rejected by Green Dot with NO Explanation. More Complaints, Sorry's and NO SOLUTIONS!

    I submitted a complaint with Wal-Mart customer service, spoke to Sierra who escalated it back to Green Dot Corporate office. Wal-Mart store in Beeville Texas did issue me a $22.95 gift card refund as the GoBank card would not allow me to purchase anything in the temporary card status. I purchased 2 items and returned them to get my cash back. This local Wal-Mart store pulled all the GoBank pre-paid cards and said they would follow up with GoBank or Green Dot who issues all Wal-Mart Money cards and GoBank Cards.

    I also think there is a website programming or design issue because when you go to register the Wal-Mart money cards the system second guesses you when entering your user name and password. There seems to be a glitch as the Wal-Mart web page will not accept certain user names or passwords that meet all their criteria. Thank You, Concerned Consumer who lost valuable time on 4/4/19 and 4/5/19 in which WALMART Stores and Green Dot Bank would only say sorry, provide no solution or any type of compensation for time wasted when they make billions of $$$$$ per annually on products I buy in their stores every day.

    Updated on 04/25/2019: My account was compromised from company out of China. But once the charges went thru the charges were made in a Chinese name but in California and although some charges have been refunded not all have been replaced. And Walmart MoneyCard wants me to send in a written dispute which can take 45 days to review. The charges compromised were applied to my card which was deducted from my rent money I had on the card putting me in a position to not only be late but I also had to borrow the money to replace my rent of $650.00.

    I never had a problem and we’ve been using Walmart MoneyCard for a couple years now and never had anything like this happen. I don’t have time to write a dispute send it in await on a response. That really isn’t fair. I still have to pay back the $650.00 I had to borrow because my account was compromised. Now I can't get thru to anybody and now my direct deposit of 774.00 was deposited to the card that has been compromised unless I have a valid account number. I can't get thru to them. I can't even sign in to my account without them verifying my identity but yet at least 10 purchases from China unauthorized charged to my card and not one notification was sent to me. And it was purchase after purchase and nobody thought that I should be notified especially coming from China. Now my rent money has been stolen and my payroll checked was direct deposited and I have access to none of my funds. Nice Walmart MoneyCard and Green Dot. Nice.

    The card itself is great. No complaints except until now. I have had this card for a few years and recently my Apple account was compromised. $330 worth of charges fraudulently. I filed a dispute and it was denied. I filed a second dispute about the same issue, sent the documentation, screenshots of the Apple case number and still didn't get a response for 2 weeks. Finally called back and was told my dispute was denied again. Apple confirmed the charges were fraudulent. I wrote a details letter explaining every charge very thoroughly. The customer service department is not understanding and I am highly disappointed. I am currently looking for alternatives. It seems as if they will always deny a claim no matter the circumstance. Great card if everything is perfect.

Of all the times I have called, I have only gotten in touch with an actual person ONCE! I'm usually just left on the phone waiting.     My experience has been awesome, I love the alerts when I've spent, and that I get my deposits a couple of days early. I also haven't had any issues with payments I've set up for automatic draft.     Called customer service about this issue. Nothing has been resolved and I'm out several hundred of dollars and I'm not sure how it's being taken out my account.     I've had this card for a few years. Although I don't use it for large purchases I do have my direct deposit set up through it and I use it for online shopping. It's great for what I use it for. I do feel like it's a little pricey to reload considering I already pay a monthly fee. I don't feel like I should be charged every time I put cash on it so I seldom do. I use another account for that. I'm a waitress so if I paid to put cash on every time I wanted to deposit I would be paying a lot annually.

    I called up to dispute 2 transactions I knew about. So there was no compromised account information. Decided to call on a third to get more information but the representative decided that she would file the dispute and then advise me my account would be closed. Wait, what?? Then I was told I would have to wait until the investigation was done and I sent in MY information to get my rent, bill and food money for this month back. $3,000 is gone. But when I check my account? Now only $500 and the vault is gone. I was barely able to get call numbers so I had proof. Then Was told it would take weeks and they would send it in the mail??

    I asked where to? By that time I'll be evicted. My landlord doesn't accept apologies for rent! My kids could be taken!! All for a "irresponsible" mistake? How did I end up getting my money taken for calling about my money being took?? I never approved this. I am going to lose everything for trusting this company! Called 4 times was told I'm sorry and I understand by people who are not sorry or do not understand.. Seriously hurting.
