I really like this card. I'm at Wal-Mart all the time anyway and the early direct deposit is great. Card is accepted everywhere. I've really like to be able to use it at any ATM I'm close to that would make it a little more convenient. The alerts work very well also.

I think this is a great card. I use it as a payroll card direct deposit and I get my money a day early. It's easy. Convenient. Overall my experience has been great. I recommend this card to all my friends and my family. Keep up the good work. It's hard to find a prepaid card nowadays that is good.

The card use I get out of it is the best. Sometimes when I go online to check balance, for some reason I have to keep signing in repeatedly. Typing my I.D. and password the same way every single time. In other words, online access is not completely reliable. But, overall card use is great.

I use the card for all my banking. I have direct deposit too. Would like for this to be applied to my credit somehow. It would be nice to have a card with a chip and not swipe. The swipe wears out fast. Anyway I have not had any problems and will keep going with the card.

It's difficult to get to customer service, then once you get to someone they aren't helpful. Also, the limitations you have on the app are interesting, you can only view your balance and stash or unstash money, everything else has to be done on the computer.

It's okay. Wish I could load money without fees from different locations not just Walmart like Atm. Also should be able to use as a credit everywhere. Should have a feature where someone can add money to card account from their credit card like Paypal.

The daily withdrawal limit is too low, and they have to take the card inside instead of being able to swipe it at the pump. But overall the card is great. It is easy to load and funds are available immediately. The new vault option is also very handy.

Love my Walmart card, very convenient. I can accurately keep track of my money or save it through the vault. Loading and withdrawing is quick and easy without hassles. Although more options for withdrawing other places than Walmart for free would be nice. Overall great experience and I plan to keep my card for primary use for a while.

I have had this card for awhile. In the beginning it served me well. But lately I am unable to get money off the card when I need it because the service desk has no funds available and the Walmart clerk Karen could give a ** if about it. I go to Walmart when they open a 6:00 am ask if she has any funds yet and I get "No", so I ask should I come back and I get "well if you want to". As soon as I can get my direct deposit moved to a new card service, I will be closing this account.

This card has spoiled me for traditional banks! Best feature by far is the fact that if you don't have enough money for a purchase, you won't be charged an NSF fee. Wonderful! If you deposit enough money there are NO fees, and you can even earn cash back when you buy from Walmart.

I really like this card! I would have to say my 2 favorite things about it is the money comes two days earlier than payday and the possibility of winning in the prize every month. I would recommend this card! I also like the fact that you can save money on the same card. It's pretty awesome.

I love using Walmart MoneyCard. I get my check before anyone else at work. Now I can save how much I want in my vault. It's easy to make a withdraw. I can never pay overdraft fees. I don't use a bank anymore. Thank you Walmart.

I have only one complaint with the Walmart MoneyCard and that is the service fees for not only using an unauthorized ATM but also Walmart MoneyCard is charging an additional fee as well. Other than that, the card is simple and convenient to use. Thank you.

I haven't had any problems with the card at all. I actually like the card & would recommend it to my friends. The only issue that I have is at the gas station. I actually have to go into the store & see the cashier. Other than that I'm cool with the card.

I love my Wal-Mart card. It's very handy for everything! Thank you. I get automatic deposit and receive it sooner than anybody else. So far the security is sufficient and I've never had a declined purchase or issue. The transactions are accurate and all correct.

No issues with the card, better than typical banking in my opinion. I can handle everything right from my smartphone. I love that my direct deposit comes in 2 days sooner than payday and I can track all my spending in one place. Card is a bit unappealing but that's really the only downfall!

I like having the moneycard but I don't like the fees associated with it. I have been charged several times to cash/load my check to my card. Now that I have direct deposit it has been fine. Shouldn't be fined to load a card.

I'm either receiving my money really late, or a text late about it being deposit. If you giving money two days in advance please do it during early hours so bills and plans can get done and paid on top. The whole point of me getting the money card was so I can get paid EARLY so I won't be late on bills. Instead I don't receive money till around 7-12 pm. Please if you know you're getting your money please pay the people (myself) early. Thank you.

My money is always on time and I haven't had any problem. I just wish I could cash or deposit checks. And were open at least till 10 p.m. So other than that there are no complaints on my end. So with that being said yes I would recommend to friends.

My card makes getting paid a lot easier. No more fights with the banks about Ids or lines to wait to cash. I do direct deposit so I just wake up on payday check my balance and go. Setting it up was very quick and easy...love my card. Thank you Wal-Mart for my one thing in life easy!

I like that my payroll posts early to my account. 2 days before actual payday. No overdraft fees. Has checks you can order if needed. Accepted everywhere. They also offer a savings type account that you can transfer funds back and forth. Bill pay and people pay too.

The card is awesome and I love the direct deposit because you get your money 2 days faster. It's awesome. The only con about is the alert when the money is deposited on the card. I use the card everywhere and I like the part where you can put away money and it will not let you use unless you decide to.

Have had good experiences so far. One thing is that the early deposit isn't true. Most people get paid at midnight on payday and I don't get my money until 4am. That's the only thing that I don't like and think that should be taken off the info given when given the cards.

It's seriously a major turn off to have to deposit cash at a Walmart and be charged a 3.00 fee! I'm using your promotional card for Pete's sakes!! Highly disappointed in this card. I feel that if I put my trust in this debit card and commit my income.

The only thing that would be nice is if you could load the card at the checkouts. Also more free atms. It's very convenient. I like the direct deposit option. Works well and I appreciate it being earlier than actual pay day. Very user friendly, easy to pay bills and make online purchases.

I enjoy the Walmart MoneyCard. It comes in handy, when you have bad credit. The reloading is easy & the direct deposit is the best thing the card had to offer. The app works with an iOS 7, which is what I prefer. Having two cards, with a $1000 limit would just be fine.

Easy to use. The only thing is that it does not notify when I get deposits. Other than that everything is good with my account. I have no issues with the account. Better than a bank account because there is no charges as long as you have deposits.

Love the cash back rewards. My old bank never did that. Love the discounts on gas and in store purchases. My current credit card has nothing like this. And direct deposit??? My job requires direct deposit, so this was a big plus for me...

I would use this for all my deposits if it wasn't for having to go to a Walmart to pull off money without being charged. App told me an atm was free but yet I get hit with 2.50 everytime. I can't go to Walmart and stand in line every time I need cash. Not all Walmart have money card atms which if they did it would be a little more convenient but still why charge atm fees, I would have kept my bank account if I was aware it would be like this.

This card is Awesome!! I went through a rough time and fell deep in debt, I ended up getting on check systems. No bank would take me. I decided to try the Walmart card and it has been great. This card has saved me a lot of time and headache. I get direct deposit from my job which is awesome, I always get my paycheck early! And the vault is such a great feature. My card is blocked and has been blocked for over a week. I have done everything I was asked to have it unlocked which I never asked to have done. I have tried to call customer care more than five times and each time I was on hold for more than a hour and still no response. I have called various numbers and still am unable to get a hold of a live customer service person to speak to for them to explain why my card is still blocked. This has become a huge problem as I am unable to pay my financial responsibilities due to all my funds are linked and locked on this card.

It's awkward and inconvenient to add money... Technology today allows text transfers / deposits, etc... It's also costly to add funds. Direct deposit is fine and works but at BOA my direct deposits hit at 12:01 every wednesday, you lag behind by 12 hours???

I haven't had any issues... one thing I would like to see is how much it will actually cost to do cash a check using the app instead of having a range... I like the fact you put ACH deposits in early.

I don't like the fact that we have a limit to use the card. If we have bills to pay why should we limit. I paid $3,000 in bills and I couldn't use my card anymore when I needed food, gas, and other stuff so maybe you shouldn't put limit since it is our money.

Why can't I withdraw money from my card at your money center. Every time I have to make at least 4 different purchase just to get the amount of money I need. I thought for every 1000.00 dollars you give a reward of 25.00 dollars. I've only received that 25.00 one time. All of my direct deposit be at least 1000.00.

My experience with Walmart was great. I had no problems. The customer service was just fine, I would recommend to all of my friends & family. There was no long waiting in line for the help I needed, Although there could be more clerks to assist with all money matters behind the register. I really did have a nice experience each time I went to Walmart.

I like it for direct deposit only. When I try to put cash on my card at Walmart I still get charged a 3 dollar fee, and recently got my wallet in stolen and was also charged 3 dollars for a new one. So I decided now what kind of benefits am I suppose to get if any besides dd.

Honestly I recommend this service to everybody. It's better than a checking account. I get paid 2 days early and I get rewarded just for using my card and they make all my transactions easier by having many participating ATMs in my city and little to no cost to me. The only thing I would like is if I was able to put more money on my money card with another debit card it would make my life 10x easier. Love the service!!!

I enjoy the no fees and the fact that I get my direct deposit a day earlier. I have not had any problems with purchases and I also am taking advantage of the vault. The only problem I am having is finding a Wal-mart that has a money kiosk in it. I live in the Phoenix metro area and visit several Wal-marts. Not one of them have a kiosk. This makes doing any kind of transactions very difficult. Yes, I can use customer service, for a fee, but the whole point of me switching to this card was to avoid all those fees! Without a kiosk, how can I ever deposit a paper check or get cash back? I am forced to make several purchases and withdraw $100 cash with each one when I need more money out. Please install some money kiosks down here!! Thank you.

Well, there are some improvements your prepaid cards can use, like sending a text to your phone when your direct deposits are made. I get the text in the Walmart transactions area which is stupid, because I have to go all the way into the account.

I absolutely love the card. It's the best decision I ever made was getting it. The only thing I don't like about it is that I get charged the monthly fee and I have direct deposit. I can use it anyway and that's really convenient. I like that I get my money early as well.

The only thing I can say is wow. Best card ever. When I use it the cash back feature everything about the card even the sweepstakes where you get money back is the best thing ever. Week-to-week the more I use the more I load increases my chances of winning. Out of love that would love to have $5,000 in my account one of these Fridays. I hope it's happening. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but moreover the best card that I've ever had. I love it. The features are good. The app is even better. Helps me to keep everything in line. I like that I earn cash back for shopping at Walmart which is a plus since it's my go-to place for everything. I would however like to see three things change. First, it would be great to not have to pay $3.00 to reload my card in stores, I just think it's crazy to have to pay to put money in my own account. Second I would like to choose when I can use my cash back rewards, right now I have to wait 12 months before I can use them and sometimes it would be helpful to be able to use them sooner in those times when I'm in a pinch. Third, it would be helpful to be able to get a second authorized user card. Currently my fiance and I have to share this card and it's hard to have to juggle who gets it that day.

I've had my card over 5 yrs. In July of 2015 you had a system failure. You over charged me then denied me my money back. You have a measly $20 credit. I will be closing my account real soon. I'm disappointed with treatment I was given and the dismissal of my claim.

It's awesome and I love the way I get my direct deposit a day early. It's helped me out many times. The fact that I can put a little amount and go out and not be worried if I lose it. Totally Happy...almost. The one extreme inconvenience is as follows. In recent months, I had an employee number change/department change at work, and for a brief time, I was receiving paper checks instead of Direct Deposit. No problem, I thought, as I could just go to Walmart and deposit it into my account at the service desk. Well, my plans were changed immediately, as there are too many hands in the pot, so to speak.
The first step to go through, is that you have to cash the payroll check, for a fee, of course. Inconvenient, as there will be a fee to load the card as well. Ok fine. So, Green Dot runs the program for the card, but Certegy runs the program for approving the checks. Certegy would not approve the check to be cashed. The receipt with the denial on it, stated that if I wanted to know why, to call the number listed. Which I did. Certegy stated that they could not tell me why it was denied, and that Walmart could tell me. So I asked Walmart, and they stated it was out of their hands and to call Certegy.
So I had to drive an hour away to my company's corporate bank to cash the check. 8 dollar fee for that. Then an hour back home. Go to Walmart to deposit the money, and guess what? Too much to load in one transaction, so, I had to split it and deposit two smaller amounts, both for a fee of course, and achieving the same overall effect, minus the additional fees. So, after 120 miles of driving, and 14 dollars in fees, plus my gas and time, I was finally able to achieve what is touted as free (payroll check deposits). This was incredibly inconvenient, and did affect how much money I am willing to spend at Walmart as a result.
I have chosen to spend my money elsewhere closer to home since these occurrences when prior to this, I was driving further to go to Walmart and spend my money there. I still enjoy the other benefits of the Walmart MoneyCard, however, this gross defect in Customer Service at Walmart has taken my business elsewhere on occasion. I have been a Walmart MoneyCard user for 10 years, and up until this happened, I was spending my money there almost exclusively.

Using the card is really easy. To get all the information is great. Loading it is easy and there is no hassle. I can use it anywhere and any time. There is no hidden fees, just once a month five dollar fee. So I recommend getting this card from Wal-Mart. It's is such a great way to keep your money. Plus the customer service is great as well.

The CSR person DID NOT know anything (Question about e-check). She basically was following her little form and did not offer to even try to find out, asked me what it was and said she never heard of it, and I would have to go to the website. I had already been to FAQs, otherwise I would not have sat on hold for 30 mins, to get absolutely no help. I like my Walmart card, but customer service should do a bit more of CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I am satisfied with the Wal-Mart MoneyCard and I don't want to use anything else if I could. I'm planning on using Wal-Mart MoneyCard for as long as I am able to. Doesn't work at gas pumps... This is a MAJOR hassle! Also, does not work with Google wallet. Neither of these make sense and two seemingly easy fixes to make living with the card more convenient. Please fix this and I would be willing to rate 5 stars.

The Walmart MoneyCard has been a really good prepaid card. The app is extremely easy and helpful. Plus the fact there is a savings area is awesome. I would recommend this to anyone. I get my direct deposit early. The only thing that I don't like are the high ATM fees. $2.50 plus the ATM fee is too much.

I like it! I don't have to deal with a bank. My money is loaded easily, never have problems using my card. Maybe it was just me but my card got messed up at work and I couldn't get a card with same number. Had to order whole new card. Other than that I love it.

I love the fact I have early deposit, my paycheck is usually on Friday but now I get my check on Wednesday night. Also love that I can deposit money anytime I need to. The only thing I don't like is not be able to deposit checks that are handwritten. I have to go to the bank and then do my deposit.

The depositing of my checks is fast and always accurate. My major complaint is the magnetic strip is garbage. It stopped working after the 2nd week of having the card. They need to use better quality cards so it's not inconvenient to try and make purchases. I am tired of being told that my card is not swiping so they can't sell me what I am trying to buy.

I bought upgrades for a game I play online. I had purchased around 5 upgrades throughout the months. Every upgrade that I had purchased from October 2016 - February 2017 was refunded. I never made this request for these purchases to be refunded, but they were. Now my account with 4 years of game time has been disabled for something I never requested. I received money back that I should not have got back to begin with. Now my free time when I am not in college is ruined thanks to your money card system. Just be wary to all the gamers out there.

First of all I tried to go online a day before to access my account online and I tried to change my password which wasn't successful. Then the following day I made a transaction at 6am and withdrew 500.00. I then tried hours later to make a purchase and it denied me. I called the number on my card and it said I was locked out my account so I did the necessary steps it asked me to do which was go online under documents and take a picture of my ID, license or passport in which I did and it gave me a message saying it was accepted. I even called and talked to a young lady on the number on the back of my card and she said it should be OK. Well it wasn't.
I got a message when I called to check my balance. It said it my ID wasn't accepted. I did it again. Sent my ID and it said it was accepted. Question how long am I going to have to wait for them to unlock my card? This is really nerve–racking. I have my car payment that comes out of my account every time something goes wrong. It take forever for them to fix the issue and it's ridiculous.

The day I got my tax refund is the same day they blocked my card. I haven't even had the chance to use my card yet, not even once since I bought it a week ago. I sent them a copy of my ID for verification already. I have been calling their customer service hotline but not once did I reach a real person to talk to about this issue. Every time I call I was always put on hold for almost an hour as well. I have an attorney in place already to look into the matter just in case this whole prepaid thing proves to be a fraud.

I have been using the Walmart Green Dot pay card for payroll checks and used it for my tax return since I filed with Jackson Hewitt and at the time there was a promo going, got 1000 advanced to me on my card, got the rest of my returned (over 6000) this morning. Went to ATM and withdrew 200, got an email 8 hours later saying suspicious activity on my card and that they had blocked my card and I need to send either a driver's license ID or passport photo front and back to unblock my card which takes two business days. I called the number on the back of my card and after over five hours on hold waiting to speak to a supervisor no one can tell you or myself why my card was blocked, what the suspicious activity was. All they can say is to send a front and back picture of either a driver's license State ID or government passport and after two business days they'll let me know if they can unblock it.
This is where my paycheck goes and we are this year my income tax return. What that no one knows why they blocked my card. Very dissatisfied. Almost like getting money stolen from you but no one can tell you why. With any bank credit union credit card company when they suspend or deactivate your card they have an explanation as to why. Over five hours on the phone and no one with this company can tell me anything.

I had gotten my card with Wal-Mart just to have my income tax refund deposited into it and this morning right after the deposit happened my card has been blocked and I have no access to my funds! They requested I upload my ID and now it will take an additional 2 business days to review my account. I need that money. It's unfair to advertise a quicker deposit time and then take away my rights to use my funds.

The fact that people need to use money to survive means they need to spend. If I get a direct deposit of 4K why can I only take out 2k then only 400 at the ATM and not be able to get any more out at my leisure? I'll tell you why. Wal-Mart MoneyCard. This agency sucks. Been with them two years, they closed my Acct w no reason, credited my rent check back to card without any notice of any kind. Idiots!! If I could give these folks a negative 1000 stars I would. So, I called Walmart money card to tell them that there was a charge that wasn't supposed to be there because I signed up for a free trial and the company charged me when they weren't supposed. The lady that I spoke to puts in a claim and then after everything is done tells me she cancelled my card. I almost passed out. I'm like WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT WITHOUT ADVISING ME THAT YOU WOULD HAVE TO CANCEL THE CARD??? Here I am out of state in a rental car with a 1/4 tank of gas and now no means of accessing my money. I cried and cried on that phone.
Well after begging for a manager for over 20 mins finally a manager comes on the phone and I explain to him what happened and told him I needed my money because I had nothing on me. He then advises me that he could temporarily let me access the card to pull the money off... Well finally some good news. Then I tell him that I really need my card ASAP bc my income was going to be deposited on my card in the next day or so... He assures me that I will have it on Wednesday.
So I just called just to verify that I should have my replacement card later today and I get informed that I won't be because the card was sent by STANDARD MAIL!!! I'm like this has to be a joke... I MUST BE GETTING PUNKED!!! I'm so distraught because now my income tax return is in my account and I have to wait to access it!!! So I explain all this to this representative and she decides that she will send another one out expedited BUT I WON'T RECEIVE IT UNTIL FRIDAY/SATURDAY!!! I'm so upset I can just pull every strand of hair out of my head!!! Please believe as soon as I get my new card I'm pulling every dollar off and getting a different brand card and change my direct deposit. I'm so DONE WITH WALMART!!!

I had an active and a closed account. I had a unscheduled deposit go to the closed account. I called and asked them to transfer to the open account and was told it would take 48 hours. After a week of not hearing from them, I contacted them back, only to find out they closed the active account. So now they have almost $600 dollars and another $300 scheduled to drop in.
Now that both my accounts are closed, I can't get a live person on the phone. It tells me to go to the web, where I have to submit an email. This is not acceptable. After I get this money back I am done with Walmart MoneyCard and will tell everyone I know not to use them. I said this before and should have not given them a second chance. There won't be a third. Oh and to make it worse, I get emails when money deposits, and can still see my balances, I just can't access MY money.

Nightmare experience regarding customer service. In January my Wal-Mart Moneycard was stolen. I reported the card stolen immediately. More than 20 fraudulent transactions were made against my account accounting for more than 800.00. I have filed 2 claims to and those claims have been rejected. These transactions made against my account were made by someone other than me and certainly without my consent. I am financially destitute as a result of this experience. I need someone to hear me as I am getting no cooperation from Wal-Mart moneycard representatives.

It's a shame that I pay a bill for $1200 and the insurance company cancels my payment and now 12 days have passed after talking with the insurance company and also Walmart Moneycard customer service and still have not gotten my money back. Walmart seems like they're working for my insurance company instead of worrying about returning my money after me sending them proof that the payment has been cancelled. The guy that left me a message said "Please send us proof that you was even due a refund back" ...like hello isn't that your job to investigate when a dispute is filed? Very unhappy and gonna cut up my card after I ever get my money back. Been using these cards for years and the 1st time I have to file a dispute I get the run around.

I have had my Walmart Money Card for about 18 months. I never had a problem until the last 3-4 months when fraudulent charges began to appear on my card. I followed the procedure to file a dispute - made the phone call, emailed the necessary paperwork. The next business day, I get an email saying the dispute was closed and denied; they are suppose to be sending me a letter explaining why. A week later, still no letter. I call in again. One representative looks into it and says the dispute department called ** (charge name) on February 13,2017 (the day of the email) and they verified that I had joined some type of membership. I asked what proof was provided and he didn't have a response. I know there can't be any proof of the transactions being approved because I did not make the purchases.
Then the rep goes on and says "I understand you may not have made this purchase, but the dispute department has closed the dispute. You will need to refile with evidence." What evidence am I suppose to have? I didn't make the purchase, charge or whatever. I didn't buy anything they are saying I purchased over the last three months totaling $358.26. What's even crazier is the fact that one company is in Texas and the other is in California. I live in east Louisiana. They can check my transaction records as proof; I was in Louisiana the whole time! I ask to speak with a supervisor. She gives me the same spiel, but says they have no way of knowing what evidence was used to close the dispute after it was closed. I ask to speak with her boss and she offers to schedule a time to call me back, but assures me they will say the same thing.
"Your registered card is protected against unauthorized transactions." - this statement is taken from the About Walmart Money Card page (https://www.walmartmoneycard.com/about-our-products). My card has not been protected! These are unauthorized purchases! Why aren't following through with their promises? Previously, I would have bragged on the convenience of this card. Now, I can't warn you enough to get away from it! If I could give it 0 stars I would! DO NOT USE THIS CARD!!! THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR PROMISES TO PROTECT YOUR MONEY!!!

First I could not find my card but I still had the temporary card that I originally purchased at Walmart. I was told numerous times that when I activated the personalized card that I was missing that I could no longer use the temporary card. This was not accurate information because I continued to make purchases with it as well as get cash back in the stores, however I was thankful for that because my payroll check is directly deposited to this card and I had no other means of receiving funds. Once I withdrew the funds I needed from the card I then made the call back to report the card lost so that I could receive the replacement card prior to my next direct deposit and I then waited the 7 business days they say it will take for you to receive the new card. After this time no card was received I called back only to find that they never put in for the replacement card.
So I then went online and reported it lost from there. Then waited again 7 more days and when I received the replacement card I called the number given to activate only to find that I could not activate because my card was blocked. So I am now being asked to upload a picture of my driver's license to remove the block after waiting 2 more business days. And I am beyond upset at this point. I do not appreciate this because there are so many scam artists out here and people stealing identities. I do not put my personal information online. I should be able to go into the store where I purchased the card and show proof of who I am and they should be able to verify. After this last direct deposit I doubt if I will use these type of cards anymore...

My card was blocked for fraud after an ex called in and said he did not send money to my card after a breakup. The fraud department called, left a voicemail and when I called back I was informed my account was locked. This department never got any information from me at all about this transaction. My money has been held up for over the ten day period and I am being told it is still in review. My paycheck are sitting on a card that I can not access because someone is being spiteful and Walmart has not taken proper action to get this resolved within the time frame they promised. Horrible service.

I called in to dispute a transaction. I did not say it was fraud but that I did not authorize that amount. I was looking to have the transaction refunded. A week later my card gets declined at the register. I call in and they tell me they deactivated my card without my knowledge or approval. I could not understand why they did this. I only wanted a refund. This was not the work of an unauthorized person using my card. The woman I spoke to (Joy) was acting as if it was my fault I disputed the transaction. What?! I never heard of any other financial institutions with such policies. How am I supposed to feed my family or get gas! This is the last straw, after numerous issues with using this card. I will take my business elsewhere. Consider my card cancelled after I take out my funds.

Was given a secondary card from my parents account with pure trust in my spending ability. I pre-booked a room with a gift card from my past B-day at a Hyatt Regency. I needed a little vacation (it's been really hard this past year) and wanted to use my gift card. So normally you need to put down a card for incidentals as most hotels do require. I decided to use my Wal-Mart MoneyCard issued by Green Dot since any charges wouldn't be charged to my card but instead my gift card. Fast forward 2 days. After I Got some well-needed rest and felt awesome... As I'm checking out, the receptionist had made a very costly error and had charged my stay onto the Wal-Mart card instead of my Gift Certificate. (Everybody is human and makes mistakes... I know. I've done it.)
I didn't fuss about it since I made sure I got a full explanation of the error in printed detail as well a verbal explanation of how it was rectified and promised by the GM of the Hyatt, the funding would be returned ASAP. I explained the situation to my parents who are elderly. Late 70s and 80s (whom are on a retired fixed income). Both of their worries were soothed and calmed. Days have pass by and funding still says pending on their account (from the 6 to now the 15th) and after much complaining, it was discovered that the Hyatt had indeed kept their word. It was the issuing bank card through Wal-Mart that the money is in pending mode.
Then to add insult to injury, a Wal-Mart card services rep, blatantly lied to my mother and told her that it was a full charge from the Hyatt and proceeded to tell her it's not Wal-Mart's fault of my irresponsible spending habits and poor judgment to give me my own card on the account!!! My parents had to borrow money from family and friends just so they can pay their bills. My parents for the 1st time I can remember, are extremely leery on my judgement choices now and are wondering if I really did pay with my gift certificate or just through caution to the wind and deliberately go "buck wild" with their account and show off to my friends?!?! (Room services was a major item to the bill) But I had a very substantial gift card to back it!!!!
I feel absolutely horrible about how something so easily corrected could damage a relationship with my parents who worked so hard to make sure I was always never wanting for anything. I am currently on medical leave due to relapsed diagnosis of pancreatic cancer so once again am becoming a financial burden on my folks. I am so irritated that a company could do such a horrible, heartless thing!!! Do they instruct their employees to set forth blame onto whatever is most convenient for them just so they can get a person off the phone and not deal with the issue and collect a paycheck. Shame on people who run the Wal-Mart card center and SOME of their succubus/heartless employees in the card center. I don't wish them harm but I sure as hell don't with them good.

Well it makes it easier because I don't need to cash my check anymore. And I can get cash faster even when I check out. I save a lot more this way too because of all the fees. Plus I can use this card anywhere not just Walmart.

We use my husband's card for paying bills. These are the same bills every month. Went to go pay bills, get told that his account is being suspended for fraud and that he can never have an account again. This is ridiculous, we BOTH work for the State of Texas and if he was not who he said he is he wouldn't have a job, we have to go thru FBI checks every year. Tried calling, you can't get to a live person so we finally gave up. I find it funny how they say the activity on the card was fraud when all of it was paying regular bills like electric water and gas. This is the worst card ever for service.

I've read quite a few bad reviews but I must say, over the few years that I have had the card I've never had any deposit problems even with larger sums. I have had some purchases I was questioning and don't like dealing with someone who barely speaks English and knows little about what's going on but any questionable transaction was always answered or resolved and there has never been an issue due to them messing up. I only wish I could still make deposits at a Walmart check stand like we used to because I can't always make it to the money center before they close.

I gave $500 & a their fee for a new Walmart Money Card... Only $100 was added to the card. Even though I have a receipt for that amount, they can't help me! My receipt doesn't match the card I was given. Walmart said they looked at a tape and the card she gave me was the new card I gave her. They have no way of viewing that since you hand everything to the agent and she puts everything at a level not able to be viewed by anyone. I requested they check to see what card has my $500 since it's not the one I was handed and SEE who has been using it cause it's wasn't me! They said no need since they know they gave me the correct card!
My receipt should be my verification... It wasn't, this is the worst company, they steal from the little people. They are liars and have no intention of treating you with respect. The Walmart Money Card has no customer service! The people that handle your call are from another country so they don't care if they help you or not, they just want you off the phone. Walmart started and grew because of their belief, that Americans bought into... "Buy America made products, Support America." You can't even find an American made products in Walmart anymore and their Customer Service is outsourced. They don't support America and steal from anyone they can! Now that they made huge amounts from Americans, they find no need in supporting this country or people or even showing us respect! Americans should do the same! Shop at a company that supports this country and its people!
I intend to legally do what I can to retrieve my money they have stolen. It's time to stand-up for our country and our people and stop supporting companies that don't! A choice for America is a choice against one that exploits, devastates and plunders (aka Walmart)! If you claim that they provide jobs locally (minus the 3rd party), you are correct but a company who supports their country & people would do so much more! If Walmart closes, another company would replace it, providing more jobs and selling American products. How do I know... The message we would have sent... Sell majority American made products and stop hiring for stores located in America from other countries, or we don't shop at your store. If we don't support our country and buy our products and hire our people, WHO WILL?
UPDATED ON 04/16/2017: I had a previous complaint regarding missing money on my Walmart Green Dot Card! This ConsumerAffairs department contacted requesting more information in order to resolve that issue. I was given a phone number and an extension in order to speak with them. I contacted them several times in order to confirm that they received my documents. On the last call more than 2 weeks ago, I was told that someone would contact me within 24hrs with the results of their investigation. Two weeks later, still no call!!! And the phone number they give you does not work without the extension, which now has been changed to invalid!! So there is no way to reach them regarding my previous complaint. I have sent emails to them requesting someone to contact me. I have sent dispute forms for the disputed charges which should only take 10 days and I have received no reply in any form!
This company is a joke! If you have a choice... do not use them!!! THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. You will receive misinformation constantly, and they have a phone system that will not permit you speaking with them! THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR THE CUSTOMER!!! Their motto is "The Customer is Always Wrong” and they don’t care how bad they treat you! Constantly amazed just how bad they really are!

When you go to get cash off your card at Walmart they tell you they can't get money. They have done this so many time I even had phone help on the line said there's no problem with my account should be able to get money. That didn't work. They told me to try a different Walmart. Went right to the atm machine and got cash which cost me 2.00. They suck. Green dot is in on scam.

Our card was blocked for no apparent reason then I logged on the account and it said that my ID need to be verified. I had to borrow money because I can't use my card. Got an email this morning and it said my information couldn't be verified. Something need to be done quick or I will call a lawyer.

I absolutely love my Walmart MoneyCard. It has all the features of a bank card without the hassle of worrying about overdrafts and bank hours. I can either opt for direct deposit which I love and do, or I can upload money to it from any register at the Walmart store. It's just very convenient. Plus who doesn't love the option of earning cash back rewards when you use your card to purchase items that you needed anyway?!

I received a new Walmart Money Card yesterday, February 8, 2017, after my old card was hacked and a sizeable amount of money was taken. The money was returned, and I was able to use my card ONCE. NOW MY NEW CARD IS BLOCKED. I CANNOT USE IT. I cannot even get through to talk to anyone about this. Could it be, I reported my old card stolen, and now they think my new card was stolen too??? I am so angry right now. I am homeless and I need my money for necessities.
I was informed to send a copy of my driver's license to 'document verify', HOWEVER, there is not such site on the Walmart site. Hmmm. Needless to say, I am still angry. Even if I could provide my photo id, it would take 2 days to correct their mistake. I think a new way of managing my disability money is right around the corner. ATTENTION: For the past 3 days, I've been seeing this ERROR message "Transaction history is temporarily unavailable. Please check back later." -AND- can NOT access my Walmart Money Card online account! Besides that, on 1/27/17 my balance was CORRECT at $174.00. On 1/28/17, a purchase was made in the total amount of $70.00 and my balance was INCORRECT at $34.00. The correct would have been $104.00. It's 12 days later, I still do NOT have this money available to use!
If I do not receive a response and correction of this error, ASAP, then I will proceed to contact the following regulatory bodies of a financial institution: Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Reserve Board, Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General, Thank you for your help, in this matter.

Not happy with it. When I was working my payroll check worked well, but then I was injured on the job and started receiving workmans comp checks. I went to Walmart to cash and upload my checks to my card. They would not cash my Checks. I called the 1-800 to no avail. They could not help me, so I had to move on and get another card which was a US Money card. Green Dot bank same bank but different people I guess, but this put me in a bad situation so I had to change. Not happy at all with the Walmart card too many restrictions I say.

I've been using the Walmart money card for over a year now instead of a regular bank account. It works perfectly for me because there's no way that I can overdraft the card and overdraft fees at banks can become very expensive. I would recommend this card to anyone.

I love my Walmart money card. The only thing I don't like is receipts print my available balance. If I go to a restaurant it prints on all receipts. I don't like anyone but me having access to that information. However, I do love the fact that my direct deposit is available to me a day early.

When you can't cash a child support check because it's under 20 but need the checks on the card for your bills... The other day I cashed 7 checks at 3 a piece I got 7.15 back. It's awful. I wish I never have to do that again. Unless this changes I'm losing a lot of money that could be helping me and my baby.

My card has been blocked since January 30 because my cousin sent me a $170.00 from his card then he reported it unauthorized but yet I had no knowledge of any dispute that was going on until I tried to use it and it kept being declined knowing I have money on it. I called to see what was the problem so that's when they said I have a block on my card. So my cousin called and told them that I had already paid him back for the $170.00 he loaned me which I don't know why he would file a dispute anyway but they closed the dispute after talking to us. But yet my card is still blocked with my funds on there and I haven't been able to pay any bills. I'm about to lose my home.
I've been calling every day being on hold for an hour each time just to hear the same thing. I have to wait on a call back from corporate which was supposed to be in 1 business day and I still haven't received a call. I put my money on my card for it to be safe not go through this. Now I know my money is safer on me because this is bizarre with no help or answers.

For the most part I have been very happy with the Wal-Mart MoneyCard but lately I have noticed that there has been charges credited to my account for things I did not purchase. When I called to find out what was going on it became a game of phone tag. I got transfer from department to another and nothing got no results. Customer service was no help at all. Very disappointed and I still don't have any idea what's going on.

I used the card to purchase my hotel room. They had a hold of 50.00 on my card as required by the hotel which is put back after 3-5 days after checkout. Well it was pending for over a week and on I've checked every day to see if they put it back. On the 10th day I checked my account and it disappeared. Called customer service and she said there is nothing showing on their account. My balance shows more than what is available to me and she said there was never a pending transaction. Wow thieves!!! Someone needs to shut down this company for stealing!!!

I'm happy with the bill pay feature. I really like having the perks of a checking account without dealing with checks. Also like being able to check balance via app, online, or phone. Easy to use and accepted anywhere Visa is accepted. Also love the new "stash" plan and earning cash back for purchases.

I've had nothing but great experiences with this card. I enjoy being able to get my paycheck 2 days earlier. Helps when I need to pay a bill on time. I've been a Walmart prepaid card holder for years and I finally switched over to the new Walmart prepaid debit cards that you have. Overall It has been a positive experience although my regular direct deposits are hitting my account later than when I had my old card & account. It is kinda a bummer considering all the advertising you guys do on the possibility of early direct deposits with switching over to the new card. I'm also disappointed in not being able to order checks through my account on a PC. Why is it only available on a smartphone?

I am satisfied with my Walmart MoneyCard but the only thing I feel is too expensive is charging $3.00 every time you load your card. This charge adds up and is expensive. I know you do not charge if a certain amount of funds are deposited electronically each month but for customers that have less money deposited each month we get no break. I feel this charge should be less.

I enjoy using the money card. It's essentially the same as a bank account for the purposes I use it for. Just wish there were more ATM options. Sometimes Walmart is not always close by and the ATM's are still charging to use those located into Walmart.

I have had this card for two years and ran into numerous issues. Most recent is denied dispute form. I don't even think the people behind the scenes research the claims. They send a generic reason through email and tell you that they closed the case and they can't provide any more information. I would not recommend this card to anyone. You are better off stuffing cash under your mattress, your money is not safe with this card connected to Green Dot Bank. There are more laws that protect the fraudulent people that can pull money from your card than what this bank card will do to protect you. Just remember, when it's gone, it's gone. No sense in even trying to contact customer service. They will push dispute, deny and let people steal from you.

I've had two AWFUL experiences with this card, with both taking place this week alone. First, I tried to find out how someone else could make a reload to my card without actually having access to my account. They used to be able to do this via a Green Dot MoneyPass; however, those are no longer available and Walmart has made no alternative available. Second, I visited a MoneyCenter last week to inform them that I was leaving the country on vacation and asking if I would encounter any problems while using my card overseas - they specifically told me "no", so I deposited $1000 to my card. Now that I'm actually on my vacation and trying to use my card, all of my purchases are getting declined! Come to find out that this card isn't approved for international use and there's nothing Walmart can do to help me. Would have been nice to know BEFORE my trip as now I have no way of accessing my money! I'm done. Time to move on to another card.

It would be better with no reload fee. The card is actually very convenient and works in many situations! The abundance of Walmart makes it very easy to find a location to reload and or pay bills. The ability to get your monthly fee waived is also nice.

I've found it easy to use and convenient. The only problem I've had was the time it took for renewal. I use my card for direct deposits and waiting two to three weeks for the new one was a bit of an inconvenience but overall I've had a very satisfactory experience with these cards.

I love my Walmart Moneycard but I do wish paper checks were free. I only use my Walmart Moneycard for my finances and I feel that it's unfair that I have to pay for paper checks that are usually free at other finance banks/services. I also wish there was a way I could get a chip on my card.

Whenever I cash my check, the customer service people fail to acknowledge that there is not a loading fee, when you are putting money onto a Walmart pre-loaded debit card, and I get charged twice, 3.00 for cashing a check and 3.00 to load the card.

I am happy with my experience. I just wish that we wouldn't get fees for withdrawal from a Walmart atm. Also the $1,000.00 min deposit to not get the fee is rough to reach for some if they only get paid every two weeks. They may only get $800 put on the card.

I think it is a little excessive to charge $3.00 to deposit funds to the card at Walmart. Also I get charged $2.50 to withdraw money from the atms that are associated with the card. Too many fees for what its worth to have the card. Every little bit counts when there are multiple fees weekly I accumulate.

This card is not flexible at all. There are certain places where this card cannot be used. For example, I am not able to use this card with Uber, Venmo, and other payment apps. I also don't like that there are not more ATM's that are accessible for me to withdraw money. I have tried to use it at regular ATM's and it charges outrageous fees.

I got this card mainly for direct deposit due to my previous job's requirements. I didn't have a bank at the time, so I went to WalMart and picked up a pre-paid! It was easy to activate and I've had no problems with the DD. Now that I have a bank and a job with no DD requirements, I still use my WalMart card almost daily! I put the money I want to spend on it, and I use it for online shopping, Redbox, etc. No crazy fees or anything, and I just get cash back if needed at the check stand at stores for free! I definitely recommend this card to anyone. :)

I'm getting unexplained charges on my Walmart card. It's really hard to get into contact with anybody. The holds on prepaid cards are ridiculous. Other than that I use the card to pay bills and I don't have any problems with that. The cards are accepted everywhere. I just wish it was more security on the card.

On Jan. 25th, I used my card at the gas station. Needless to say, there was a $100 hold placed on the card in addition to the fuel pumped. (NP) As of today Feb. 7th, my $100 has not been placed back on my account. Each time I've called, there's been 3 different poor English (if that is what you want to call it) speaking people which I have spoken with and not one can TRUTHFULLY answer when the money will be refunded to my card, the only thing I get is a script read to me.
When I log in, at the top of the screen it states the amount on the card; however, when I look at the transaction there's my balance including the $100 they are holding stating it is available. First, I was given the a date of 2/4 to see the funds back on the card. Then I was given Monday, Feb 6th. I called this morning, only to be told that a supervisor would have to call me back after 8 am PST. I can only imagine what date I will be given then or if I will be able to understand the supervisor's shot at speaking English. It has already been two weeks, so hopefully this is resolved TODAY. Walmart MoneyCard/GreenDot has lost my business once this is taken care of and I will be sure to share my story on EVERY social media site out there so no one has this same "SORRY EXCUSE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE" as I have experienced.

I used my Walmart money card when I did an exchange and bought some additional items at an local merchant. The items I bought were a gift. My girlfriend didn't like them. I took the items back to the store to get a refund. The merchant didn't have all the money in the drawer so offered to refund it onto my debit card. I allow them to return it onto my Walmart money card. The next day I received an phone call for WMC telling me it was a blocked put on my card. They asked for documentation showing proof of purchase & the returned amount. I emailed everything I had over.
They told me since I used cash on my original purchase and my debit card on my exchange/purchase & return that they were suspending my card & keeping my money! Total thieves! How can they steal/withhold my money like that. I sent receipts & even called the merchant on three way. I call the merchant corporate to see if they could help. I did everything WMC asked me to do and they still are keeping my money. Total thieves. Stay away from them. Not good people at all.

My Walmart MoneyCard began declining transactions on 2/2/17. My card has several thousand dollars on it and when I log into the site, it shows my available balance as it should be - but it is declining everything. I emailed them yesterday, I'm on hold right now to talk to a "Specialist" for one hour fifteen minutes currently, and I hung up after more than half an hour on hold yesterday. To date, I have received NOTHING from them stating why this is happening. I've taken screenshots of my account balance on their website. I'm tired of waiting on hold, I'm hanging up. Reported a Walmart MoneyCard lost or stolen 2.5 years ago and they will not refund my money because they claim there was questionable activity. My activity consisted of Amazon purchases and maybe gas. Card had approximately $350 on it and they have continued charging $3 a month. When I tried again 2 months ago there was about $250 on it and said there was no record of me reporting it and they still couldn't give me a refund. Extremely rude and unprofessional customer service.

I have been with Walmart MoneyCard over 3 years. My card was hacked for a total of $800. I reported this to Walmart on 02/01/17. I sent in my dispute form the same day. I went to my local PD and filed a report on 2/3/17. I called WMC on 2/4/17. My case was denied already before I can turn my police report in. They tell you that they do an investigation and it take 7 to 10 days and they call the merchants like that do any good. The only thing they do is go over your transaction history and make a judgment like you don't work hard for your money. I talked to a supervisor and she couldn't answer any of my questions. I told her to connect me to the investigation team, she told me they don't have an extension, they communicate by email. If my claim get denied again, I will be closing my two accounts and going to a REAL BANK. I wouldn't refer nobody to get a card through Walmart moneycard.

I made a purchase on 1/14/17 and returned the item on 1/31/17. I was supposed to receive a refund/credit to my Walmart MoneyCard. I used this card at the time of purchase. So, I had been checking my account online and seen that the credit shows it was posted. But it never applied to my balance. I then called the company to see what the problem may have been and of course they passed the buck. I called Walmart money customer care to speak with someone only to brushed off even more. I then played phone tag for a day and half trying to get someone to assist me with this matter. I have launched a formal complaint with the merchant via BBB.
Then as I was checking online I came across another credit adjustment that was never applied to my account. I'm not sure what is going on with the process at this establishment. But something needs to be done ASAP. I have two transaction/refunds that have not been applied to my available balance. A refund on 1/21/17 for a total of $20.99 and the other 1/31/17 for a total of $96.47. Both of these transactions have not been applied to my balance.

Won't release pending gas charge. This is not the first time, it happens every other time I get gas it seems like. Went to Walmart on 1/31/17 to get gas. The pump messed up and I just went to another pump. The problem is that I have a pending charge on my card for $75.00 that they won't release for 10 days. It should be a crime to hold money up for that long when you know it's not a valid charge. I guess they can make some money on interest for holding my funds. I mean why else would they do that.

Feb. 3, 2017. My card was stopped or canceled with no notice all of a sudden. I called and spoke to a rep. today and asked what's going on? I was told that another card was being sent systematically for security reasons. I did not request a card or report a problem. She said it would come in mail Feb.9th. I asked why can't I use my card until the other arrived? She just kept saying the same thing over and over. Never gave me an answer. My money is being withheld from me for no reason. I am very angry and upset! I've had a card with them for about two years. I can't depend on having access to my money when I need it. Feel like I've been robbed.

I purchased this card for my 17 year old son! He works part time while he is not in school & needed somewhere to put his money! We activated the card & he made a purchase thru Amazon! The next day he decided that he did not want the item & cancelled the transaction! Waited a couple of days. Money still wasn't back on the card! Contacted the retailer & they said that they never took the money & never do until the item ships! So I contacted the phenomenal people at Walmart & now we are on day 2 of being told that his money will show back up on his card by midnight!
I've never dealt with a so called bank that can't simply push a key on a keyboard & give you back the money that is rightfully yours! The robots that answer the phone continue to repeat the same thing over & over again! They never stray from the script that the man has given them! I would never recommend getting a prepaid anything from this overly huge company! All they care about is their bottom dollar & not the people that helped get them to where they are! To make matters worse this is happening to a kid!

I was finally given my money back as well as contacted by a green dot representative who credited my account $25 for the inconvenience and gave me a direct line to call if there were any other problems. A frustrating situation was smoothed over nicely by this representative and I will continue to use my walmart money card. Accidents happen. Thanks green dot!

They took my money. I got gas and a preauthorization of $120 went thru. They told me it would be back on by the first, nearly a week after the fact. It is not. I have called, and was told nothing. I asked for a supervisor. I was put on hold. The 'specialist' kept telling me the supervisor is busy in call. 10 minutes of the 'specialist ' trying to get me to hang up and not wait, then he finally told me the money would be there on the first. Which is a load of crap, I told him I would still wait for the supervisor. 5 more minutes later he tells me he can have the supervisor call me back if I give them my phone number. I said no I would wait. The 'specialist' then disconnected me and sent me to the customer survey. I then had to take the survey, and was disconnected from the call.
This is ridiculous, I need my money and this seems highly illegal. I will be getting my money and I will no longer be doing business because of this. Customer service should be competent, helpful, friendly and I should be able to understand them and get an issue resolved. Big fat fail on Walmart for having this kind of "customer service" and "banking" experiences.

Called in to ask how to dispute a charge that my 5 year old niece purchased on a game when she was playing on my phone. I was informed to fill out a form and they would investigate. I was fine with that but when I went to use my card later I found out they deactivated my card without telling me. I had just had my paycheck get deposited and now have no access to my money for over a week until I get a new card. This could have been avoided if they had informed me they were going to shut my card off. I have had a Wal-Mart money card for 8 years and this has ruined my experience. I work in customer service and you should never do things like this without informing the customer beforehand.

My girlfriend lives in a remote area in Colorado and will be moving here to Florida in a few weeks. I had been using Western Union to help her with living expenses and figured the Walmart MoneyCard would be perfect to get money to her, without the hassle of her having to find Western Union and carry cash and of course the obscene 10% fees each time.
Well this experience has been an epic failure. I set up the card in her name and mailed it then the fun started. First off, I have been unable to use a wire transfer from my bank account (I went into my branch) to put money into this card. The Federal Audit Clearinghouse rejected it with a “Please do not attempt to resend money to this debit card.” Then the instant transfer was also rejected because my bank debit card, not the Walmart one is not part of the network (it’s a MasterCard, but it was rejected anyways – I should note not the .77 verification fee though went through and posted just fine). Then I was told by the store that they need the card to load money with cash – which if I had the card she would be with me, and then I would not need the card in the first place. I will not be using the Moneycard and would encourage anyone considering doing so in a situation like mine to think twice – days worth of effort wasted.

I've had nothing but problems with your MoneyCard. My employer has had issues with direct depositing my paycheck as well. I have read all over that this card is made for direct deposits but for some reason my paycheck won't. Also, it says on the packaging that my card came in, that I should have FREE deposits on my card in stores. I get charged $3 every time I try to deposit my paycheck that is supposed to be direct deposited. I have brought it to the attention of the cashier and she says that all cards get charged this no matter what it says on the packaging. Very disappointed in Walmart and their MoneyCard.

I put my hard earned money on this card only for the card to ever come to my house. When calling the 877-937-4098 you can't get a representative and the automated system hangs up on you. I have cancelled this card and was supposed to get a refund check. I'm feeling I was ripped off because that never came either.

Just received my card in the mail. Not able to activate it online or via phone number provided on card. I attempted to get a hold of someone in customer service and was not able to. January 12, 2017, I attempted a purchase through Amazon, using this prepaid debit card. The purchase was denied. There was more than enough money in the account to cover this purchase. I sent Walmart Money Card the following information: "This morning, a purchase of $36.42 at Amazon, Amazon.com order number: ** was declined by your card. I have checked my card balance, and it is currently $75.35! I called the phone number on the back of the card, and after much routing and listening to instructions, I was informed that the purchase was declined "because of a difference in expiration date." I'm sitting here with the card in my hand, showing the expiration of 10/2020. This IS the same date shown on my account at Amazon. Needless to say, I'm sort of unimpressed by this situation."
On January 17, 2017, I logged into my Walmart Money Card account, and saw the following message; "We have an important update on your dispute. We have received your dispute documentation and are reviewing it. It will take up to 7 business days for us to complete this initial review. No additional information about your dispute is available at this time." As of January 24, 2017, I have not received a reply. I sent them an email earlier today, asking about it. As of now, I have not received any answer.

So I have 3 cards on my account and I got my new ones today. But since I only got 2 I called and worked my way through the automated process, and finally got a live person on the phone, while explaining to the semi-English speaking person which by the way was horrid and really needs to be fixed. But in the end I was told that to get a 3rd card, I would have to cancel my account and go online and start again. Well that was utterly the stupidest thing, I thought. So after a few more bits of conversation I realized more frustration and anger than in my previous 3 divorces combined. So I promptly hung up getting nothing resolved with what's her name, and called back.
Finally got another human this time from a different part of the semi-English speaking world, and this time I was told I would have to cancel my other 2 cards, go online, and request a card. But then I would only have 1 card instead of the 2 I have now. So after speaking with Walmart I have decided that I would almost rather be in combat. At least there I knew the enemy and their goals. Your card works fine but why is it so difficult to ADD another card?

I've had no problems with my greenest card in the past. My payroll has always hit on Tuesdays, once my pay stub hits. As of today, it still hasn't hit my account. I have tried to call several times, and yet I can't reach anyone...so of course, no resolution. I can't have my checks deposited late. Like everyone else, we wait a period of time for our checks. I wait 2 weeks like everyone else. If my check isn't deposited, it can mean, no diapers, no milk, etc. If my stub has hit, my check should have also.

When I opened my Walmart Charge Account and began using my credit cards for purchases, I didn't notice the actual way Walmart bills the interest on balances owed. Example: You buy items using your credit card; you receive a monthly bill, which includes interest on the account balance; you pay the minimum amount due. You continue to shop at Walmart adding more purchases. The bills come to you once a month and you pay the minimum (or more).
Say you close the account like I did mine over a year ago, but the balance goes up instead of down. Then one day you really look at the bill. You notice that even though your payment has been applied, your balance due is not quite as low as it should be. So, you start investigating Walmart's business practices and how they bill your account. You find out that they bill you, you make a payment. They deduct the payment, then add back to your balance the INTEREST CHARGES from that month's bill, as if it were a purchase, and then charge you interest on all of it, again.
They do this from the day you open the account, every month, claiming that the interest is from previously purchased merchandise even though you pay the interest every month. Is this double dealing legal? Is it legal for them to add, as if it were a purchase, the interest charges for the existing bill, back to the balance and figure interest for the next ensuing billing period?
I have no new charges or order numbers to provide for you, I closed the account when it hit its limit and have been trying to pay it off ever since... That was approximately 2 years ago, I think. I even cut up their charge card. But I can forward you a copy of my bill(s) if you want because I handle everything on-line. Thank you.

Last week, I went to a Walmart gas station to get gas. As with most gas station, the funds were verified and a hold was placed on the funds. However, most gas stations will immediately put back the money (within minutes) after they verify that you have enough funds to cover the purchase of the gas. Walmart have held that money for a week now. I have called them repeatedly and no one can help me. I keep getting the runaround. It is frustrating that they are allowed to do this! I will not recommended Walmart MoneyCard to anybody. It sucks!

So my card was hacked on December 30 and a total of $500 was stolen. I reported the unauthorized activity to Walmart and I was told they would send me another card, which they did, and that it would take up to 10 business days for them to credit my money back on my card. It's now JANUARY 20 and you guessed it, no money. After waiting the ten days I called to see what the problem was and was told that I would receive an email about the investigation and you guess right again, no email!! I have been calling them for 2 weeks and still no results. Now I have to wait 45 days because the investigation is still pending, which I don't understand why. So if you're thinking about getting a Walmart MoneyCard, DON'T. They are not worth it. You can be loyal to them but they won't be in return!!!

To say I am upset is an understatement. I have been trying to resolve an online bank transfer denial issue for three weeks. I have called Walmart moneycard, I have called Vesta, I have emailed, I have given up. I spend a lot of money on transfers and no one can help me. I was told to wait 7 days to make another transfer. I did. It still denied. Now they say have a system problem and will call me back (that was a week ago). I called Vesta again, they told me to call in 7 days in hopes that it will be fixed by then. No one can tell me why my transfers keep getting denied. I phone corporate office only to be put through an eternal phone loop. I am beyond incensed. I need a reply by a person, in person, on the phone!

My past experience with Walmart MoneyCard has really changed my outlook of them. The card has some great features, like the vault and the ability to send money to other cardholders. This made it very easy and cost efficient for my family and I to get money to one another. It wasn't until December 28th, 2016 that I had my troubles with Walmart MoneyCard. My Card was used for over $900 over the course of two days. The charges occurred in another country, then in the US, and the next day there were more charges in another country at the same place. When I found out I immediately called and had the card cancelled and was told that I couldn't file a dispute until the charges posted. So I monitored them closely, and once they posted the dispute was filed. I waited very patiently to hear something back, but I was told that I had to wait 10 business days to hear an answer, which was January 13th, 2017.
On January 12th, 2017 I called and the recording told me the dispute was denied, but when I spoke to the agent she told me that she had no information and to call back the next day. So I called back the next day and the recording said the same thing and so did the representative. She said she had no information on why my dispute was denied, but I would be receiving a letter in the mail and an email. The email I received said that I would get a letter, which I am still waiting on. I kept asking for a supervisor, and she stated that she was a supervisor. Apparently, all of their call center representatives are supervisors because each time I ask for one, I am speaking to them and they have no information. She stated that the investigation team would have more information, but she couldn't get me to them, and the only way to contact them is with a case number, which I no longer had because my case had been denied.
So I had her open another dispute, and noted to have someone contact me in reference to the dispute. This was all on January 13th, 2017 and here it is January 19th, 2017 and I still have had no letter, no other emails, and no phone calls. I am still baffled at how Walmart and Green Dot can allow such poor customer service, and how they can give no insight on dispute charges that were from another country. I have been a customer for several years, I even have another account with family. It's unbelievable that this is the way that they treat their customers.
I can guarantee you that they will take out their monthly premiums and ATM fees, and whatever charges they can sneak out of you, but when it comes to taking care of you, they will leave you high and dry. That was $900 of my hard-earned money, and that made my life extremely harder. I don't have that type of money to give away, but being a large corporation I am sure they don't understand. I will be going to Green Dot and corporate with this.

I purchased fuel at a Smith's fuel station on 1-13-17 at 12:18 pm, using my Walmart MoneyCard. The total amount purchased was $55.16. I have my receipt. However, they are holding the amount of $84.12 (the entire balance of my card) as a pending transaction. Today is the 19th and this erroneous amount is still showing as pending. I contacted Walmart on 1-16-13 and was told that the purchase amount should have been $55.16 and to contact Smith's. I contacted Smith's but they said they have no control over pending transactions on my debit card and the amount of my purchase was indeed $55.16. Meanwhile, I no access to the excess funds on my debit card because they have all been siphoned into a "pending" status. I have read similar complaints and I'm wondering if the additional funds held are being used nefariously to collect interest.

Each of my family members were given a card for Christmas. Registering online is a matter of luck. Unable to register the last card at all! Over phone didn't work when it would not recognize my name! Hate this card, 25 days since receiving them and still have the one left to get rid of! $5 per month to use - highway robbery!

I've been using Walmart Money Card for several years. It's fine, unless if you ever need to talk to someone about anything or need help. Or, if you like to have a card that works. I'm on my 5th set of cards in about 3 months. Literally peel off the envelope upon receipt and won't swipe. Or stops being able to be swiped after one or two transactions. Tonight I called to dispute the fee they charged me, after saying they wouldn't, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a person on the phone. Why? Because I'm in limbo. Because the system knows my request for yet ANOTHER set of cards was just put in today, it knows I can't be calling about the new card yet, but won't allow the info from the old card to get me through to a person!!
I tried every option on the menu. I tried not pressing anything at all. I tried pressing all zeros. It disconnected me, 45 times all together. Why was this important? Because knowing I would have to wait a few days for a replacement I took all the money off except enough for a transaction automatically being withdrew. Welp that fee put my balance below the amount needed, and it will be rejected and count as a late payment against my credit. Furious does not begin to cover what I'm feeling. It probably doesn't help anyone that when you DO get a live person, by the grace of God, they don't barely speak or understand English. I am searching for another company tonight! Enough is enough!

It was ok at first. There was no problem and I could buy things online if I had the money for it. But now it doesn't let me buy anything online with the card. I tried Amazon and eBay but it still rejects my card. So I called up Walmart and for Amazon they said that it was a problem a lot of people were having what with the new year and all that, so I was understanding and let her fix the problem. But a day later and I have the same problem so thinking it's just Amazon again I decided to see if I could order things from eBay. I tried and my card was declined again so now I'm just confused and a little frustrated and I hope the problem gets fixed soon.

I swiped my card at a Walmart gas station - I entered my pin - my balance before swiping my card at the pump was $62.32. I accidentally clicked premium gas so I hung up the pump - NEVER even compressed the handle for gas. I immediately went to the cashier and told her what happened and that I just want $15 of regular gas - swiped my card and it didn't work - insufficient funds! I paid cash $15 - called Walmart MoneyCard and they said it would be the 20th before I saw my money back.
This was Jan 13! I am a single mom with 6 kids - $62.32 is all I had. How they could take EVERY CENT I had and make me wait till the 20th is WRONG! I called Walmart finance - they are over all the transactions - they told me this was absolutely wrong and that they would send over a form STATING I never even spent 1 cent at the pump and they should give me my money back. After 30 min I got the Walmart MoneyCard people to give me their email address - Walmart finance Dept sent the forms - AND THEY STILL WILL NOT RELEASE my money to me! I would NEVER EVER use Walmart MoneyCard - after this I will take my business elsewhere!

Someone used my card for several unauthorized charges in San Francisco in December (I live in Minnesota). I submitted a claim right away, including one charge at AutoZone. I did receive all my money back, except for the charge at AutoZone. I submitted another claim for this unauthorized charge, and never heard anything back from MoneyCard. So I guess I am out this money.

My experience with Walmart Moneycard has been wonderful. I like that I can go online to check my balance and other features for my online account. The online source is what I recommend. Easy, basically your looking over everything that you have spent just that fast.

Enjoy your cards a lot. Have had no problems. Love the texting messages. Like the app. Just wish I could combine the two or more cards with one sign in acct. Right now I have to have two different sign in infos.

An auth was out on my card for the amount of $129. I tried calling to get it fixed but nothing, I was told the transaction type couldn't be undone. I'm out of town and need to get home. When I ask to speak to a manager, I was told it take 1 business day for me to get a call back.

I love the convenience of having my card. It works everywhere. I have my paycheck go direct deposit and get my money 1 day earlier. I can reload money on it anytime I want to. It is a lifesaver. Thank you.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THE WALMART MONEY CARD IS AWESOME. It lets me pay bills. Feel safe when using a Debit card. The internet access to my card is easy and simple and without logging in I can always check my balance. Fast and simple and that is how I like my card to be. No hassle.

I've had account with you for many years. First account was hacked so it had to be closed so I opened another. There is an option to change image but I'm denied that and don't understand why. At least send me the black card as the blue one doesn't look very professional. I would refer you to anyone as I like your services. Thank you.

I've had a great experience with the Walmart Moneycard. In my opinion, it's more straightforward and accurate than traditional banking, which comes as a wonderful relief, at the end of the day. The only detraction is the inability to pay at the pump, even at MurphyUSA. As the parent of a toddler, that ability would be most helpful. With the 2% cashback incentive offered at MurphyUSA, we've switched to MurphyUSA as our main gasoline provider, anyway... but not so much when I have to wait to fuel up when I have two adults in the vehicle. Oftentimes, it doesn't play out in either our favor or the favor of Walmart and MurphyUSA, it plays out in the favor of whomever is truly most convenient to fulfill the need at hand. A disservice to us all.

I am finally happy to have a card with cash back abilities. Also, everything I need to see about my card is right there on the app. I have already told people about this card. I always shop at Walmart so this is an added benefit! Shopping Walmart, using my Walmart debit card and the Savings Catcher REALLY help me stretch my budget money!

I love the Walmart MoneyCard. Easy to use, no hassles, and works exactly how I expect it. No withdrawal limits too! Also no overdraft nonsense. If I don't have the funds, they just simply deny that card. No fee, no tricks, just a simple card denied. The iOS mobile app works great and is always updated with the correct amount! I use the Walmart MoneyCard as my primary card and I also have direct deposit setup. I'll be a card holder for life. :)

On December 20, 2016, I noticed (4) four transactions that were made in New Jersey on December 19, 2016. As it turns out, the number on my card was somehow stolen and the thief made a new card and used it. They charged over $300.00 dollars on my account and I have been trying since 12/20/2016 to get my stolen monies returned. I even emailed the signed dispute form back to Green Dot Bank and still get the runaround. The contract says that if they need more than 10 business days, the monies will be returned to your account while they continue the investigation if needed. Do not believe that. I am still waiting and all I get is BS. Be careful and keep your eyes on your account. Very angry right now.

I just got hacked for (4) PlayStation Charges on my card today. It says pending $439.92. This left my balance down to 16.12. I called and cancelled my card. I want to know why you can't refund my money. It says pending and it happened today.
