    I purchased the card to use at the TownePlace for 80 Dollars in incidentals for our stay. We checked in on the 23rd of June. Checked out the 27th before noon. The lady said she reversed the transaction and the money should be back on my card 5-7 days. Well that didn't happen! So I'm checking the card and finally I reach out to a rep who told me that my money would be back on my card on July 6th... well I woke up checked the card no money. Checked at 2 pm no money. Just checked at 8pm still no money.

    Call them back and the first girl I spoke to is like "There's no such transaction." Which makes me angry so I ask for a manager so she changes the story to "Well we are waiting on the merchant." So I'm like, "Do you need me to contact them?" She replies, "No". So I'm like, "What can I do to speed this up. You're basically holding my money!" She had no answer, so I ask for a supervisor again. She claims there isn't one. So I hang up and call back and get another lady who doesn't know anything also!!!! You can barely understand them. They have no manners either! And I still can't figure out what's going on with my money. So at this time I'm convinced this card is scamming people out of their money. I should've know better because when you buy the car they charge a dollar. Then on your first transaction charge you 5 more dollars!

    It's ok. I don't like how there is a fee everywhere I use it. I don't like how there is a charge to add cash to it at the stores. I don't like how my bills won't clear even though the money is in there and I get charged late fees by places. I like that I can use it for direct deposit.

    Well... Everything was going great until I lost my card. I, of course, reported the card lost and canceled the card. I haven't received a new card and the email I received in response to my inquiry is as follows... "We understand your concern. We can see that there was a request for a card closure online on June 28, 2017. A replacement will not be issued." OK... NOW WHAT? I have a direct deposit going straight to the account number associated with this card and I have no access to those funds. Funds that are to be delivered on this very night at midnight. I am a single father that has to pay rent and many other bills that stack up quickly. I need and require assistance.

    I came to Walmart and Green Dot for convenience and left banking institutions behind for you. I expect better service and I will receive better service or I will find another institution to do business with. I patiently await your reply. A reply that will decide in what direction I go next. I would also like to point out that almost all my shopping is done there at Walmart, whether it is clothes, food, and houseware needs... I Like to keep my shopping in one place. If this is rectified in a timely manner you will lose a customer forever. Honestly, I just need better instruction on how to handle the current situation.

    I used this card to make a purchase online and never received my products from this company in March 2017. I chose the "transaction dispute" team that refused to help me. I also completed the "transaction dispute" form provided online with no resolution. I've never heard of a financial institution that refuses to help a customer dispute a charge on their account. The business that I placed the order with refuses to return my calls and notices. My only recourse is thru my financial institution and Walmart Money Card refuses to help in any way.

    I bought a Walmart moneycard and I promise you they suck. Will never do business with them again. It takes forever for them to dispute fraudulent charges on your account. Been 3 weeks and still haven't received my money back along with no update on when I should get my money back. They customer service is horrible and I can go on and on about the bad service. They need to make better choices on who they hire for handling their customer service agents and hire people that speak fluent in English.

    There are many prepaid cards available. It's just Walmart is convenient because of the amount of locations. I do not care for a 3 dollar charge when I add MY money to the account. I also do not care for being charged 2.50 for using a Walmart ATM machine to take cash. Foreign ATM machines, I understand the charge. The Walmart that I recently went to has changed its policy. Instead of being able to make a deposit at the checkout, now I have to wait in line at customer service and still pay 3 dollars to deposit MY money. I am in search of a different prepaid account.     I love the convenience of my MoneyCard. I like being able to check on my account whenever I need to. I can even have my payroll direct deposited.     My card was hacked on 6-29-17 twice. Called customer service rep immediately. They were very helpful and gave me the info I needed to start the process of getting my money back... one big problem, they cancelled the card which I needed to access the site to download the form. I cannot reach a live person or find the form online. There was only pennies left on the card. I would think that they knew by cancelling it I would not have access to the site. I've always like to look at the glass as "half full"... I don't want to jump to conclusions but they do have my phone number and e-mail. I heard nothing from them today.

    If there is a response to this review stating 'check your voicemail', don't believe it for a minute... my phone has been glued to my side since speaking with them.     I really like having this card. It's actually better than having a bank account. The only thing is that if you meet your deposit requirements each month so you aren't charged the $5 fee, the card holder should be able to load the card twice a month without the $3 fee. Also my other issue is I had something bought on my card, tried to dispute it but couldn't do so from my phone. I contacted the retailer and they were only able to credit me back $22 out of the $89 that was taken out of my account. Other than those 2 things, I enjoy having this card. P.s. I also can't load my card into Samsung Pay. You as a huge franchise should figure this out also.

    You get charged twice when using ATM. You can only withdraw multiples of 20s from a Walmart. When you look at your transaction history it's confusing to understand.     It has been very nice to pay my bills with. That is why I got the card. It also helps save because the money is not right in my wallet looking at me so I forget that I have money sometimes. But being a single mother of two the $3 load fee sucks. But I understand. And the $5 monthly fee sucks as well. I load twice a month at least. So that is $11 I have to budget for. And my payroll pay check is hand written. And Walmart will not load that on to my card. Which means I have to budget another $10 to cash my check somewhere else. And make another extra trip. I work for a small business and they do not offer direct deposit.

    I also wish I could see more/all of my transactions when I log into my account online. I love the features the card offers. And love that the card dose not have a chip but still requires my pin for transactions and the right billing address for online order. Because of where I live I send my online orders to my job so no one can steal my packages. But unless I put in the right billing address the card will not go through which makes me feel safe.     Overall, I enjoy the Walmart MoneyCard experience but I wish there were more options, as far as sending and receiving money from other walmart moneycard users. The ones with the blue card are unable to send money to the users with the gold card for example. I think if you have a walmart moneycard you should be able to enjoy all of the benefits, not just some. Also, I am unable to transfer money to my Regions bank account and vice versa. Other than that I enjoy walmart moneycard.

    The check writing is very secure but to set up automatic payments are a little bit of a challenge. Otherwise I have been fairly happy with it. I need to learn how to use the rewards points.     Overall it's a very good choice in banking alternatives. However I think that the $20 minimum plus the load fee can be a little hard to deal with. It should be ok to load more like $10. And even when you sign up for direct deposit it still tries to get you to sign up for direct deposit... Too many emails. I do like how easy it is to keep up with and how low the fees are.

    They blocked me out of my card, made me send paperwork to a Pasadena P.O Box just to NOT confirm what address they mailed my new card to. It has been 1 month since I have been able to access my funds. Every time I call they put me on long holds or hang up on me. I called them 6 times this evening and have been hung up on every time.     On 6/27/17, I attempted to make an electronic check deposit through the Walmart Money Card App. This was a check from my employer made out to me on a corporate Bank of America account. I received an email that the check was declined. I called customer service three times trying to figure out the problem. None of the customer service representatives could tell me specifically why the check was declined. I was able to go physically cash the check with no problem. Further and upon investigating, Bank of America never declined the check. It was Green Dot Bank (owner of the Walmart Money Card) who refused to honor the check for no valid reason. I understand the need to protect against possible fraudulent checks. However and again, this was a corporate check. Green Dot Bank could have electronically verified the check within minutes. Instead of appropriately verifying the check, they just declined to honor the check. Very poor customer service.

    On June 23 I received an email from Green Dot to confirm that I had changed the security questions on my Walmart MoneyCard. It also gave the IP address from which the request was sent, which was **. I live in Richland Center WI, and that is not my IP address, nor did I change my security questions. It was a no response email, so I called Walmart MoneyCard to make a report and to find out what my transactions were. I was unable to access my account on the Walmart MoneyCard site, because someone had changed the username and/or password.

    I was told I had 23 cents on my card and the last transaction was $76. The balance on my card had been $76.23, so someone had stolen $76 off of my card. I reported it stolen to the customer service representative automated system (wasn't able to speak to anyone personally). They said that they would send me a new card and cancelled the current one. I'm very careful about how I use my card, which I only use for online shopping and only to legitimate sites, such as Amazon and Sephora. I don't give out information to email requests, nor do I shop on questionable websites. How can I prevent such a thing from happening again. How can I trust Walmart MoneyCard again??

    I had a Walmart MoneyCard since January. I liked the options that this card had, especially being able to do bill pay online and order paper checks. First issue I had was a bill payment that was never sent to the correct biller. I contacted the biller and they never received it, although I had all of the information correct. Walmart MoneyCard never credited that money back into my account and I had to pay the biller, AGAIN. Second MAJOR issue. They cancelled my account, without prior notice. I have $400+ sitting in my account with absolutely no way access to it. I cannot get a live person on the phone, as I've tried for DAYS now. They will STEAL your money. Stick to a Netspend or PayPal prepaid account.

All direct deposits will be sent back to sender. I just got it. And worse the number they give you is ALL AUTOMATED WITH NO ACTUAL PERSON!!!     It took over 2 hours... They ended up giving me the full amount back in cash and not crediting it to my credit card or my debit card. And they kept my receipt. It was the store assistant manager Jen, a customer service manager Beverly, and another customer service manager Debbie and two different employees, one named Matt and another woman at the customer service desk that I couldn't see her name tag because of her hair to finally come up with a solution of just giving me cash back.

    Apparently the young man Matthew who originally rang me up put it in under some kind of special order or something like that which means he totally screwed up. So it wasn't even showing as a transaction in their computers yet. So they weren't able to issue me a refund is what they kept telling me. And I said, "Oh yes you are. It was this store, this man, these credit cards and I just did it..." So it took two employees and three managers two hours to finally give me a reimbursement. Only after the assistant store manager, Jen, and customer service manager, Beverly, verbally assaulted me and then the customer service manager, Beverly, grabbed my phone. I have never been treated this poorly in my life of Living in a retail store. I have the photo of Beverly grabbing my phone and I have made a police report with the White Lake Police.

    Inexcusable employee behavior... especially for management! Beverly needs to be fired and so does Jen. They both very calmly could have told me not to take their photograph instead of yelling at me and grabbing for my phone out of my hand. That is assault from both of those employees exclamation point. And Matthew needs to lose his job because he completely tried to pull a scam either on me or on the company. Because for a transaction to have printed a receipt and yet not show up in the computer system leads me to believe something very fishy goes on at Walmart when you make an expensive purchase!!! No trust in Wal-Mart's sneaky business and no respect for their ABUSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I am very unhappy that Wal-Mart MoneyCard does not have a better way to handles these disputes. I get over $5000 deposited onto this card every month. It makes me feel completely uneasy with my money in the hands of a company that is not protecting the consumer. I am now force to find somewhere else to have my paychecks sent to. I need to feel and know I can rest asleep at night knowing that I will not have to wake up to fraudulent charges.

    My problem is with the online Bill Pay options. I started to incur issues when they redesigned their website and my account has never been the same since with no resolve. ALL of my "past billers" were deleted, when I go to "add a new one or Add a biller" it will NOT save. Under Existing biller I get a red highlighted error message saying, "Hmm. Something's not right. Please try again later." Under "Scheduled payments" there are only 12 of my reoccurring billers - where I cannot edit or update information, I can only delete the biller. Under "Pay a bill" I get the same red highlighted error message of “Hmm. Something's not right. Please try again later.”

    I have been very patient from the beginning with all the so called new and improved website upgrades, however, it’s only been a nightmare for me. I have called customer service for a few months (sometimes I couldn't even understand the person’s accent), emailed customer service several times over the last few months. I've described the problems verbally, they told me to email pictures of the error messages. They gave instructions to delete browser history, clear cache, delete cookies, restart the computer, delete the app & reinstall. I have done all of their recommendations over and over again but nothing works.

    The last email that I received on June 2, 2017 says, "We have completed reviewing your concern. The issue has been resolved and you may continue using your Card. If you have any further concerns, please call the number on the back of your card. Thank you. *This is an unmonitored mailbox. Please do not reply to this email." I am so frustrated and so done with this company!

    I had a stay with a hotel that accidentally overcharged me on May 26, 2017. On May 29th I called the hotel and they immediately fixed the problem and said it would be up to my card company when it's reversed. I called Walmart money card the same day and was told it would take till June 7th to reverse. June 7th came and I still didn't have the funds posted. By this time I was annoyed and pulled all my money off of the card.

    I called again and was told it would take till June 9th. The funds posted on the 9th, however, when I went to withdraw it from the ATM, it froze in the processing portion and said it couldn't contact the institution and no money was dispersed. It still managed to remove the amount I was trying to withdraw from my balance. I went inside the bank and they told me it would be an issue with the card company. I called the company and they said there is nothing they could because it was still pending and it could take till June 17th to post. By this time I'm extremely pissed. I asked to speak up to supervisors, yet nothing could still be done until the pending was over. I was informed that if the pending did post that a dispute would need to be filed.

    On June 13th the amount did post and I immediately called the card company to file the dispute. I went through that and sent the dispute form in on June 15. I got my confirmation email and that it would take a day to process. I called back in June 19th to check the status and was told it would take all the way to June 27th to finish being process. I don't understand why it's taking a month to get access to my own funds because of an error of the company's system. It's only about $300, but $300 is a lot when you're a young adult with rent to pay. I called back later in the day to see about getting a corporate email to make a formal complaint about the length of time it takes to get things processed, but was told there wasn't an email and was forwarded to the dispute specialist who also told me it would still take till June 27th.

    I have had and used this particular card for 3 years, but have been a customer with this company for 5 years. This is this first time something like this has happened and at this point I feel I'm getting the runaround with "red tape". I completely understand there are policies and procedures for things, but there are also procedures for rent. You don't pay it, you get evicted.

    I emailed my signed dispute on June 6, 2017 with confirmation from Walmart via email that they received the dispute. I then get another email on June 13 from Walmart stating that I need to send a signed dispute. Well I emailed the exact same documents which were signed originally and resent the forms again on June 13.

    Then I call on June 16 to get status and the operator (Chanda, employee id# **) states that Walmart started the dispute on June 13. I stated to her, "Why not on June 6?" She stated to me that they didn't receive anything from me on June 6. I said, "I confirmation from you on June 6 when I sent it that you received my dispute forms". She then kept saying that they didn't receive anything on June 6th. I then said, "If you didn't receive anything then how did you know that I emailed a dispute and you needed me to resend it again on June 13". She then stated that I needed to call and start a dispute. I told her that the website states that I can email my signed dispute forms which I downloaded from your website. She then said that you cannot do that. She said that I need to call and start a dispute before I send the dispute forms.

    I then said, "Well that is not stated anywhere on your policy. Your policy gives me the option to email or mail the dispute form..." Anyway she obviously didn't know the policy and Walmart is now starting my dispute a week later which means that they have till June 27 to finish now. Obviously they are buying more time for themselves. I will be short on paying my bills because of this!! I have been a customer for years now and have direct deposit. Since they are not interested in settling my dispute, I have to look for another bank. Very disappointed customer!!!

    I bought a Walmart money debit card from Walmart. When I went to register the card it said it was invalid. So I tried calling customer service number on back of card, which is no help unless you have an active card. You cannot speak to a live person, tried calling numerous of times. Took the card back to Walmart where I purchased it and was told that I had to call the number on the back of the card. I could not get a refund of my money. I wrote to Green Dot about the issue, with a copy of the card and copy of the receipt. Have not heard back from anyone. $500 gone down the drain and this is horrible, because I am a single parent and need my money. I will look into legal action if I don't hear anything by next week. DO NOT buy those cards, they are a ripoff and a scam.

    I won this card as a prize. I was told I had to register it, so I did. I apparently made an error entering my social security number, so unable to access any way to cancel the card. I realized after I registered it was a money card that will charge me 5 dollars monthly. I don't want the card, I don't need the card. Every number for customer service will not help me, I'm supposing because I made an entry error in registration. I now have the permanent card (which I didn't want) and I imagine it will start accruing monthly charges. I am contacting the attorney general, BBB and Walmart now.

    I knew when I used my MoneyCard for the hotel room deposit that it could take up to 10 days for the deposit to be returned. On day 12 I contacted TINA in customer service who told me it would be released the next day. The next contact was with PAUL who conveniently became disconnected when I asked for a supervisor. I spoke with supervisor KAREN who placed me on a 2 minute hold 12 times so she could balance my account. I could clearly hear her running a tape. She says she needs to transfer me to an ACCOUNT SPECIALIST. When the ACCOUNT SPECIALIST came on she had no idea what was going on so I explained everything again. She told me the hotel had not released the deposit yet. I told her, "I have spoken with the hotel. I have a phone number you can call and yes they did release the deposit 10 days ago."

    I have now been on the phone 54 minutes. She said she balanced my account and I am not due any credit. I said, "What happened to the $200.00 that has been pending for almost 3 weeks." I couldn't take it anymore. I asked for a manager. I was placed on hold then disconnected. Now my hour lunch is over. On my next break I check my account. VOILA. My money is back in my ACCOUNT. No one had the professionalism or just common courtesy to call and tell me or even apologize for the delay. Unfortunately because of poor credit habits on college this card is my only choice. As soon as I rebuild my credit I can't wait to put this thing thru the shredder. This is one of the poorest examples of ownership and customer service I have experienced. SAM WALTON would be heartbroken.

    I have been using a Walmart moneycard for at least the last 5 years, longer I believe. I have always used it for direct deposits, for paychecks and child support. On the first I went to an ATM to withdraw rent money and it would only let me withdraw $400. I got a message to call the card company, I did. I was told that there has always been a $400 limit for ATM transactions. I have always withdrawn my rent from an ATM, my rent has always been more than $400. So obviously there hasn't always been a $400 ATM limit per day! I have also noticed that I have been charged the $3 monthly fee that is supposed to be waived if the deposits total more than $1000 per month.

    Last month my husband had paychecks each week that were $600 or more. Two paychecks alone knocked out the $1000 requirement to waive the fee. But on top of $2400 plus in pay, $481 was deposited for child support and $735 for my sons SSI for which I am payee. Three dollars isn't a huge deal, but when did policy change? Shouldn't I have been notified? When I called about not being able to withdraw the full amount of my rent and I told her I have always made large ATM withdrawals, she said it must have been a mistake that I was allowed to do that. It's been a mistake every month for years that I have been able to withdraw more than $400 per day from an ATM? Really, get it together!

    I opened this account for the 25$ payday perk. I have had 4 direct deposits so far. Not seen the 25$. Called Walmart MoneyCard and they said, "Yes we see your deposits but will have to open a case." They tried every trick in the book to not give it to me from seeing if it was within the 60 day period whichever it was to seeing if I even had a direct deposit. So disappointed!!!

    I the Walmart money card and so far my experience has been great. I have a huge complaint and problem with the way they handle unauthorized purchases. When you try to dispute a charge, you have to go through hell!!! You have to call them, then fill out this form and email it or mail back to them. The problem is, they won't contact you back!!! It takes sooo long to get it charged back to your account, unlike a bank that credits your account within 1 day. I think that it's unprofessional and not very reliable. I still haven't heard anything from them about my dispute, it's been 4 days. They Walmart truly need to revise their policy with disputes!!!

After a government payment was posted to my account after my husband's passing, who is on my account, Green Dot blocked my account leaving me no access to my money! They also rejected my direct deposit payroll check! I have NO access to money at all!!!! And with all of that, they tell me that the account will have to be closed regardless of the "review". The payment has been reversed and all they have left to do is issue me a refund check for the balance of the account. They do not call me with updates or act concerned at all when I call them. All they tell me is that it is being "reviewed". This is totally inconvenient for me and my children.

    I purchased 2 visa gift cards and loaded $500 on to each. The first card was giving the cashier issues, so she voided the entry and it has been deducted from my credit card charges as a credit. The second charge went through but the second card was not activated properly (I think she tried to activate the bad card a second time). So, I am still out $500. I tried calling number on Walmart receipt but talking to a human being is impossible.     I had a Walmart money card for almost a year and never had any problems UNTIL I deposited $135 dollars into the card. I decided to put gas in my card and then pay my phone bill. After putting gas in my car for $22 dollars, I called my phone company to pay my bill but my transaction got declined. To my surprise, I had an unauthorized charge of $75 dollar on my card. I called customer service and I spoke with to a representative from the Philippines. She explained that every time I use my card in a gas pump I was authorizing a $75 dollar retention fee to be charged on my account. She tried to make me believe it was my fault by saying that I had authorized the account to be debited. She said that the money was placed on hold because it was company policy to verify I had sufficient funds to cover for the gas purchase.

    How can you put MY MONEY on hold. This is not a credit card, this is a prepaid card. If I have money on the card is because I PUT MONEY IN MY CARD. They couldn't do anything for me. They said that it would take 10 business days to get my money back. Needless to say, I had to call my phone company begging them to give me an extra day to make my payment. Not only you took my money away, but also your representatives had the audacity to tell me to go and ask money from a friend or family member to pay my phone bill. I also had another rep advised me to call Moneytree to get a loan to pay my phone bill. Mr Green Dot, I DO NOT need a loan. I NEED my money back ASAP. I asked a supervisor and a manager if the customers were aware of the $75 dollar hold fee but of course their response was NO. I asked if in their policies, procedures or agreements it specifies about this fee but obviously their answer was then NO.

    At one of my MANY calls to customer service, I requested to speak to a supervisor and the rep placed me on hold and transfer me to a supervisor. I was placed on a 45 minute hold. That's how long it took a supervisor to answer the call. Not even once they broke their hold to advise me of the wait. At one point, I thought that the rep had just placed me on hold waiting for me to hang up. I'm just so disappointed. You guys took my hard earned money not realizing all the problems you guys caused. I had to go through the hassle of spending over 4 hrs on the phone one day and 3 hours the second day. I had to beg for a pay extension with my phone company and up to today, I DO NOT KNOW how I am going to pay my bill. I guess I have to go to a family member and explain the problem that I had and see if they can lend me money to pay my phone bill.

    I don't know about you guys, but to me, it is a shame to ask my family members for money when I had the money to pay my bill but my money was taken by a corporation whom already charged me to cash my check and also charged me to load money onto my card. I requested a corporate number for me to call, but then again no one could provide me with one. Thanks to the internet, I was able to find these review for consumer affairs. I am not asking for a loan. I am not begging you for money. All I want is my hard earned money to be given back to me. Is that too much to ask? Thank you for your time and consideration.

    My wallet was stolen on May 11th, 2017, I reported my card stolen on May 12th. My home address, that I used, is forwarded to a P.O. box, so I never received my cards. So, I called and reordered my cards on May 23rd, 2017. It is now, JUNE 8th, 2017, AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY CARDS! Which has two of my paychecks deposited on them! I have talked to 6 different people, and they all have the same recorded speech that they give, which none of the information helps. So yeah, if and when I do receive my cards, I WILL NEVER USE WALMART MONEY CARD AGAIN!

    UPDATED ON 06/21/2017: I have been going back and forth with Wal-Mart MoneyCard (Green DOT) since May 12th, 2017. My wallet was stolen so I cancelled my Wal-Mart MoneyCard, and ordered a replacement card. Being that my card first was cancelled, I thought I had to order another card for my paycheck to be deposited on. These cards were ordered twice and never received. So now I have two cards, somewhere, with MY money on them. To this day, June 21st, 2017, I have only received ONE of my cards, and just got that on June 19th, after contacting Green Dot, on Facebook. The other card is locked for unusual activity. Which was, MY PAYCHECK BEING DEPOSITED ONTO IT. I guess that's unusual activity.

    So I was told, in order to have another replacement card sent out, I HAD TO MAIL a copy of my ID to them, in order for the block to be removed. There was no other way to send it to them, except by mail. So, I spent $7.00 dollars to get it there in two days. That was on a Tuesday, 6/13/2017. I got the tracking information that it was received on Thursday, June 15th, at 10:31 am. I called them yesterday and was told a supervisor would call me back, that same day. No call.

    Today, I finally received a call from a supervisor, that made me feel like I was bothering her, about inquiring about MY MONEY. She told me they hadn't received my information, so I would have to email this same information, to them again. Then it would take one business day to take the block off my card, and THEN they would be able to send out a replacement card in 7 business days... THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS SITUATION I HAVE EVER BEEN IN! I've done EVERYTHING they have asked me to do. If I ever get my card, with MY money on it, I'm taking every cent off, and burning BOTH cards!!! #NeverAgain!!!

When I called customer service, they claimed someone reported it stolen - it was not me! They claimed they would send a replacement card and I have now been waiting for over two weeks to receive it and it still isn't here.     In March 2017, my card was fraudulently used to make purchases by someone outside of my home state. I reported the fraudulent issue to Walmart Money Card immediately upon discovering the incident. I filed a dispute and Walmart Money Card deactivated my card and issued another card. I was without use of my card for 10 days and completely out of funds for 14 days, until Walmart issued me a provisional credit for the 3 transactions that were fraudulently made. So dissatisfied with their lack of security and communication, I did not utilize my card after using all the funds were returned to me.

    Now 2 months later, I decide to try using the card again to see a provisional credit reversal on my account that NO ONE from Walmart Money Card informed me would take place. When I contacted them regarding the transaction, they told me (paraphrasing) the dispute has already been resolved and they discovered that one of the vendors who were notified of the unauthorized transaction credited my account additional to the same amount WMC credited. Therefore, WMC reversed the provisional credit because the vendor credited my account. Nonetheless, WMC did not send any communication in the 2 months duration from their ONLY response to my dispute stating that the dispute was filed and completed.

    So, now, today after reloading my card for the 1st time in 2 months, my available balance is short $54.07 because of WMC lack of attention to detail and lack of communication with the vendor. WMC stated that they will not credit me back my $54.07 because the dispute is closed. I think it's safe to say that Walmart Money Card are unapologetically the worst prepaid card service ever! How about they rollback their unprofessionalism and PROVIDE BETTER SECURITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!

    The worst customer service ever. I contacted Walmart MoneyCard on May 22nd because I have 2 transactions that was unauthorized transactions that I did not authorize, which was fraud. I block my card and requested a new replacement. The dispute department advise me that I would need to fill out a form from their site and that I would have a resolution within ten business days. If it take longer, then my account would be credited back while they are doing their investigation. I filled out the form and email it back to them.

    Fast forward to today, I called the dispute department to get an update, and the only answer I received was, "We are still processing your dispute, and it will be completed by end of day today." Well end of day came and gone and still nothing. I called again after 8 pm, only to be told that it is still processing and that they don't know when I would received any credit back to my account. Nothing but lies and they don't live by anything that is in their own cardholder agreement. Worst company I ever dealt with. If someone steals or use your card without your permission, then you is ** out of luck. I will be destroying this card asap. ** Walmart MoneyCard.

    I got this card on suggestion from a Walmart employee, who told me there were no charges for using Walmart ATM or money services desk. But in reality there is a withdrawal fee, a processing fee, a fee to check balances. Complete load of crap. I have zero satisfaction with this card and I tell EVERYONE I can not to get this card. Better off just using cash or another debit. Only reason I have one is for direct deposits from work. And that will soon be done away with. I will never use this card or Walmart services again! Pile of crap!

    I had lost my Debit Card on a recent trip and called the Walmart Money card Customer service number. The lady (Sue) was nice and said she would send me another card and the account would stay open so my car payment would go thru on time. Not more than two hours later I get an email saying my account was on hold for unusual activity. Well upon calling them back of course Sue was not there. Some guy named Juk was rude and he was the manager, supervisor and nobody else can help me. So now I'm stuck with no car payment and no money for at least 7 days. (My nephew had this same problem with Walmart and it took 2 months) I know they have their rules. But do not lie to me and shut off my account because I call to get a new card. And when I press #1 for English. Get me someone that really speaks it.

    Recently I went to 6 Flags Great America but didn't get to stay. I was charged $25 for parking. I went to guest services who refunded me back $25 to my Walmart money card. When I went to check my account they first credited back the refund, but then took out the payment right after the credit. So I was never refunded back. I called Walmart money card to dispute this, no one ever contacted me back after they did a investigation.

    I finally called only for them to tell me that the investigation wasn't approved. I sat and argue with Walmart's HORRIBLE customer service. The only thing the rep did was repeat the same info over and OVER. It was beyond annoying. She never answered my questions. She only repeated the same info over and over telling me to wait for the response letter. When I asked to speak to a sup she told me no that she was sup. After I got angry she hung up on me. I guess that's $25 lost. I will never recommend anyone to using this card. The customer service is absolutely horrible and pointless. If they can't do anything or handle anything over the phone why are they there???

    Visited an ATM where I attempted to withdraw $140.00. ATM experienced mechanical problem. Spit out a receipt stating the problem and to contact ATM Branch or customer service. I followed through on the above stated. Bank assured resolution as long as Walmart​/Green Dot did their part (Obviously in corporate/bank America we the consumer are stupid and can't handle our own financial problems... Maybe it's we're not dumb enough hence the removal of the privilege to dispute things ourselves).

    I filled out all dispute forms even including the ATM receipt stating it didn't dispense my money. Walmart/Green Dot assured me resolution by the 8th of May. It's now June 1st... Call after call, supervisor after worthless supervisor I'm still awaiting the return of my cash being held hostage. The bank whose ATM malfunctioned told me this situation is ridiculous. They've admitted fault and that Walmart/Green Dot have either not done their part or are being dishonest and have my money but are not returning it.

    Walmart/Green Dot will not do anything for the consumer once they're wronged. Just today I was told they received the dispute outcome on May the 12th. It was found to be in my favor, but they don't know why I wasn't issued the refund. She needed to email the "Processing Dept" to find out why. Pretty sure that's code for "We need more BS reasons not to return your money" Department.

    PLAIN AND SIMPLE. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. I ASSURE YOU HEADACHE AND STRESS LEVELS THROUGH THE ROOF. These people are very unprofessional and like all other corporations & big banks see you as an uninformed/illiterate juvenile. I was promised a call back twice today now and after 12 hours nothing. Don't buy for a second they have tried to contact anyone as they state in their replies. They operate 24/7. All that time and I've seen nor do I read that others have ever seen any resolution and or refunds.

    THIS CAN'T BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE! HOW CAN A PLACE SO BLATANTLY STEAL/FLEECE CONSUMERS AND CONTINUE TO OPERATE? Oh wait, I'm sure they can do it by laws put in place by our elected officials to help us their constituents. You know the little man who works 60, 70 hours a week. Pays taxes, elected officials wages so they can make a mudhole out of our BHs. Unbelievable.

    This will now be day 27 since I first attempted to get a hold release from my card after Expedia.com reimbursement for a flight cancellation. I'm being told there's an investigation into the situation but have received not a phone call or email from anyone who has actual information and can release the hold put on my card. When calling the customer service number on the back of the card, I get the same lady answering the phone after an hour or so wait, and cannot disclose the details of the situation. I'm told today was the day I got answers or my money!!! Liars!!! Thieves!!! If I knew where this call center is located I could camp outside and catch up to the first person walking out of the building. But unfortunately, this is a call center in India or the Philippines that gets paid to give us the runaround on our money and hopefully discourage the consumer from pursuing the matter further.

    I'm beyond my patience threshold. I will be hunting for someone to blame for this, and Lord save them when I catch up to them. It will be a masterpiece. All I want is honesty with the Walmart MoneyCard folks. TOTAL RIP OFF!!! I'm reaching out to you folks with this forum to hopefully get someone to get a resolution on the issue. I refuse to keep being treated like a mushroom. Feeding me crap and keeping me in the dark about MY MONEY!!! You're charging me a fee every month for a card that has robbed me since the 3rd week I activated it. I want my money. End of discussion. I'm available whenever on my cell **. Give me my money.

    On May 9, 2017 a transaction for the amount of $175 and some odd change was deducted from my account for a company named Notino France which is located in Paris. I contacted the disputes department later that evening. I submitted the necessary forms via email. Every time I call it tells me that I need to update and send more needed documents but when I speak with a rep they say just wait the 10 days for an email stating the findings of the investigation that they have my dispute form on file.

    Well today is day 10 and I have not received any update to my email. This has really caused a strain on my pockets financially. I really need my money to be returned due to that being money I needed to keep lights on in my house for family. I have been a customer for almost 2 years and have never experienced bad service until now. All I want is the money that I could have not possibly spent in the location of Paris when my card that morning was used in California. Can someone let me know what I can do to get this resolved as soon as possible?

    I have a Walmart MoneyCard acct. I have a visa and a master card with 2 separate card numbers. But the same account number. It's ridiculous because somehow I can't use the Visa for purchases at all, But the MC I can. Somehow my DD is only on the MC and I have to transfer money from it to the Visa? One card to the another out of the same account??? I had auto draft from the Visa and have been charged insufficient funds fees. And they were linked only to the Visa, not the Card? I want to cancel just the Visa but I can guarantee it will cancel the entire account, and I can't afford doing that till after payday. So frustrated. And CS agents only repeat the same script over and over. They won't help me. :(

    Their system says that I cannot transfer money from my vault to my spending account. I called Walmart, they told me they are experiencing "system maintenance" and there is nothing they can do about it. Unfortunately for me I am in another state traveling for work and have no access to my money. Their customer service is a joke. I will never again use Walmart for anything and as soon as I have access to my money I will be withdrawing all of it and using a real bank.

    I have had and used my MoneyCard for sometime now, without concerns. However I have recently utilized the vault feature. It's been awesome. Then yesterday while away from home with plenty of money available, I attempted to make a transfer. It errored multiple times with an unsuccessful transfer. I then attempted from my desktop. Now there is a messages. I have exceeded my daily transfer limits. I had only transferred one time yesterday. At this time I'm out of town, away from home with my family. I read the user agreement just to be sure I'm not crazy and this is what it reads:

    "Limits. Because the Vault is not a separate account, money in your Vault counts as part of your card balance. You may only transfer money in or out of the Vault 20 times per day. For security reasons, we may impose additional limits on transfers or your Vault in our sole discretion. You agree that we may use money in your Vault account to cover any negative balance that you may have on your card, even if you do not transfer it from your Vault to your card."

    I only had a transfer. So I called in this morning (after trying again) thinking it was a glitch. It clearly states in the agreement nobody is able to transfer but the user and through the app or website. So I try and no success again. So I call, the man I speak to is really nice but less than helpful. There's nothing he can do. I have a few dollars in my account and hundreds in my vault that nobody can tell me when I can successfully transfer the funds or how to resolve this. So I'm frustrated and ask for a supervisor. To my surprise there is not one and I'm give a case number and off the phone I go. Still with no money. So if this is a feature ordered that clearly states you may transfer as often as you'd like. Why can't I? And when I cannot who's there to help? Nobody? When can I get to my money? No idea. So here we are with no access on a Sunday with nobody that can give any answers.

    I had my Walmart money card for quite some time. Unfortunately, very disappointed in how this card functions. It is not customer friendly at all. One incident happened last year when I called customer service and want to get information on a certain charge on my account. I advised customer service that I don't recognize a charge and that I was inquiry after I call the company what I need to do if it was a charge I did not authorized.

    Customer service then tells me that a new card will be sent within 10 busy days. I told her that I did not want a new card, I was just inquiry what my next step was if it was an unauthorized charge. She advised me that she place a hold on the account. I told her why did she do that, I was just inquired about what I need to do. I just had a direct deposit post that day and did not have access to my funds to buy food for my kids and pay bills that were due that day and next day. Very very disappointing.

    Now fast forward, I had a bonafide unauthorized charge and I filled out all required documentation and signed the dispute form over two weeks ago. Still have not heard a word. I call and customer service advises that the department will email me or call. As of Friday May 19th, 2017 no call or email. It's well been over the 10 days that they advised it would be resolved. NOW I'M OUT $115.69 OF AN UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE. With my faith in this money card I may not see the hard earned money again. All I want is someone to communicate to me what is going on. I'm ready to stop my direct deposit and leave this card. Will be looking for a bank that will actually communicate with customers and not tell them lies.

    I disputed charges from Google which was charged on numerous days 3 or 4 times a day which every charge was also on my credit card. American Express saw it was fraudulent yet Walmart didn't even though they were on the same days at the same exact times as on my credit card totaling $227. I have left numerous messages at the dispute office with no return call. I am offended to even be working for this company.

    I have had my Walmart Money Card for at least 4 years. I have always been very happy with it. Today is a different story. I am having a legal issues with my landlord over monies owed. I called the customer service center to request a copy of transactions from the years 2015 until present. This bank does not keep records over a year old. For one, Money Card does not send a monthly or yearly detailed transaction statement and they don't keep them on record either???

    I am just disgusted with the fact that I need them for a very important legal matter and my so called bank doesn't even keep records or even gives the customer a choice of keeping up with them themselves by not even sending them a copy or warning consumers that they don't keep your records? This bank and their idiocy has just cost me well over $3600 and without a care in the world. I asked to speak to a supervisor repeatedly and was told no, the supervisor will just tell me the same thing.

    There has to be some kind of banking law that if you don't provide a statement you should have to keep it on file at least 5 years due to statutes of limitations. I hope I do find out they broke some law and they think we are too stupid to find out. I sure hope so... It's ridiculous you can't get a transaction history for more than 1 year. They have definitely lost me as a customer. Can't trust any banks anymore. Not even the prepaid ones. What a joke. Thanks for losing my $3600.

    I want all my money back you swindled me out of. I got a Walmart debit card and I got a refund. One time they kept sending me cards with no funds on them. They owe me over 200.00 thru transactions on PayPal I made. They would not take funds back from them. I am very upset. They had no live help from last year till this year in March and even had a site saying pay 30.00 if you want live help.

    Updated on 05/20/2017: I am so disgusted with Walmart Debit Card. PayPal worked their rear ends off trying to get my money back for me with no help whatsoever from this company. They sent me one debit card and I got one refund and they continued to send me many debit cards with no funds on them and then a note telling me they are Green Dot Now and that Green Dot has to take care of the situation. That is a bunch of crap, if they are Walmart Debit Card they should have their own company. You own what Netspend and Gold Card and also Western Union Debit. You give no money back. No perks. You should be taken off the map and EXTERNAL AFFAIRS from the FBI will soon be involved in your swindling operation. You are a bunch of thieves and should go to prison!

    I purchase a Walmart MoneyCard. Used it for a while and then was at a location where I needed to get a refund and I did not have the card I used to purchase. So I decided to use my Walmart MoneyCard to have the refund placed on that. It has been 8 months and I have an emergency situation, I pull out my Walmart MoneyCard with a $1,200 balance that has been on the card since 8 months ago and my card has been blocked.

    I call customer service. They proceeded to tell me that because I received a refund on the card that wasn't originally purchased on that card I need to now provide documentation. It has been eight months. The charges have not been disputed. The cash has been deposited and there for more than enough time. I no longer have the 8 month old receipt and they are telling me that I would not receive access to my $1,200 without that. There is no one to talk to. Nothing I can do. I have no options. I'm trying to figure out how to proceed because the funds are legally mine. I'm not just going to give them to Walmart.

    I purchased a new card because it stated you had the option to deposit a check using your smartphone. I received my personalized card and activated it. When I go to the mobile app the option to deposit a check is not showing.     My card was somehow copied and had so many charges that I did not personally make myself. They were all in states that I was nowhere near. It was easily to see that since I was making purchases in my state of Kentucky. I filled out all the proper forms and submitted them almost immediately. I received a denial saying they couldn't give me money back. I have since emailed them countless times to try and get more information and they won't even respond to me. This whole situation left me without money for bills and basic necessities and made my life a nightmare.

    Walmart MoneyCard was no help whatsoever. That money was just gone and they essentially told me there was nothing they could do. Why bother having me fill out the forms if you're not going to help. It would be easily to investigate to see that these purchases were not made by me. I have been a customer for years and have been satisfied up until this happened. I just came across this page in hopes that this might help. Or at the very least to warn others that if your money is ever stolen... you will not get it back!!! I'm highly disappointed in their service!

    Do not get this card. They send your direct deposit when they see fit. My company sends it in the same time every week. Sometimes I receive it on Thursday at 6 sometimes at 8 sometimes I wait until Friday. The company I work for does payroll the same time every week. Also if you call them you will never get someone from America. It is always people who speak little English. They are just a nightmare. I'm going to open a bank account and never shop at Walmart again. I'll shop at Target! Once again do not get this card!!

    Walmart stole my money. I put money on two Walmart money cards to buy plane tickets home from Hawaii. I purchased my tickets, but needed to make a change on my reservation. When the airlines refunded my money to make the change, Walmart blocked both of my card accounts. Now they are holding all of my money, and I have no way to fly home. THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE. It is an endless answering machine with no humans on the other side.

    The website is demanding that I verify my identity before they give me my money back but no matter what, every time I try to submit my ID, the system sends me an email saying it can't read my ID. They are demanding I verify my identity, but they aren't accepting my identification. I wasn't warned that this was even possible. I was told I would have immediate access to my funds. This is fraudulent. Walmart is trying to steal my money. They have all my funds tied up, won't accept my ID, and have no phone number to talk to a person, I'm scared I won't get to go home. This can't possibly be legal. There is no way Walmart can be allowed to steal from people like this.

    I had a Walmart MoneyCard and had a dispute. The letter I received back indicated that charges were valid. It also indicated that I could not activate another card and to spend the remainder I had left, then the account would be closed. I had requested a new card when the dispute started, because I did not want any further invalid charges taking my money. I do not have details about why they indicate the charges were valid. I called the 800 number, I did not get a representative. Since having requested a new card, there has not been any issue. However, I now only have the option to spend the balance I have on the card with no new card to be made available. This is quite asinine and I assure that I will be finding a much better vendor to do business with. I will also ensure that I will inform everyone I can that Green Dot Bank is both unhelpful, as well as incompetent.

    About two months ago I had a fraudulent charge on my account from Comcast. I filed a dispute and Walmart thankfully credited the money. Then a week later I had another charge which I did not purchase from Expedia. I called Walmart to file another dispute. They let me know the dispute would be resolved by May 4th. Well today I went to log into my account and it said my card has been closed. Said, "After further review we are denying the dispute and closing your account." I am extremely upset because ever since I been with Walmart I had a good experience and I never did anything wrong. I get my direct deposit through that account and now they just closed my account. So I am not getting my money back from the charge from Expedia of $253 and also my account is closed. I been trying to call and can't get a hold of customer service. This is bad. Really bad.

    I am beyond mad at this moment. I just went and put money out of my pocket onto this Walmart MoneyCard and my money IS NOT THERE and when I call customer service they say that they have no idea when my money will be available!!! Now keep in mind I pay my bills with this card and the money I just put on that card was to keep our lights on, my lights will be cut off in the morning and they seemed to care not one bit. All the lady could tell me is to keep checking online and that there is nothing she can do. REALLY??? This has to be some type of cruel joke.

    I dispute a charges that was not authorized by me on my account. They told me that I have to wait til 7 to 10 business day and if they need more time I will be receiving a temporary credit. I call them after the 10 business day and they denied to give me any provisional credit. Also I ask in two times for a supervisor and they said my call do not qualify to speak with a supervisor. The customer service on this bank Green Dot bank is horrible. They don't take consideration for customer and do not know how talk with customers. I do not recommend this bank to nobody. Please we are humans and deserve a good treat by customers. Do NOT GET ANY MORE CARDS BY THIS BANK.

    I bought a Walmart MoneyCard on 5/1/17 and put $220 on the card. I went home and activated it on 5/3/17 because that's when I needed the card. After that I registered online and it showed a balance of $0.00. I called the number on the card and received no help. I went in to the Walmart where I bought the card and explained the situation. They said the card did not match the package that it came in which is a packaging error. They then stated that I had to come back when a manager was available to access the cameras. I am going in there today to do just that. If this does not work I am going to talk to my friend who is a lawyer because this is literally robbery. I handed them $220 and received nothing in return.

    I had 3 charges of 150 dollars on my account from the Gov of Sharjah and it's been pure hell getting help.The charges are from Afghanistan and I live in Oklahoma. I have called 10 plus times and I keep getting the runaround. First they said they hadn't received my DISPUTE forms even though I sent them over 20 times and got a confirmation every time I sent one. I had to shut down my cell phone because I couldn't pay my bill. 450 dollars goes a long way when you have a wife and 3 kids while teetering on the poverty line. Thanks WALMART!!

    I do know if this is worth my time but this card sucks, unfortunately I have to use it. I use it to make purchases over the phone and the money is taken off right then, if there was no cash it would decline, right? These people want to argue with me. I'm not the brightest bulb but I'm thinking there has to be money on there to make purchases. Anyway I can't wait to cut this card up! If you can use a different card do so.

    I have loved using this card and receiving my direct deposits early. On 4/20/17 I went to use my card and found out it had been hacked and ALL of my money was gone. $778.00 just gone to a Regal Cinema Mobile app. Never even used it at a Regal Cinema. I went to a local store and they had no idea what to do so I cancelled it. All of my bill pays bounced and couldn't reach anyone that day (live). Next day 4/21 I finally got through. They charged my card 10 times in a row and for some reason no one could stop them. These charges were pending at the time and no one could help reverse them not even Regal Cinema. I submitted a Dispute Form via transactiondisputer@greendot.com on 4/21/17 and confirmed receipt via email and telephone.

    Now I call this morning 5/1/17. Apparently my form was not received until 4/25??? I literally got verbal and email confirmation and they just say we have until 5/9. Meanwhile my bills have all bounced and I have NO money. I am the primary caregiver of my disabled mom and husband and can not pay my bills! Normally credit card companies are very willing and speedy with these types of things. I am unsure why there is such a huge lag in helping one of their consumer resolve these types of issues. I would really just like my hard earned money back. That is all. I am ultimately sad this has happened to me and just wish someone would help me. :(

    There are some transaction dispute on my account for almost a total of $420. Filed the dispute and the police report and as of today nothing has been done on my account. Tomorrow is the 10th business days. If nothing is done on my account I will be contacting the FDA and the business bureau. I called over and over again and all they can tell me is, "Someone will be contacting you by email. There's a possibility we will need an extension on your dispute." How hard is it to review a dispute. Ten days is a good number of days to investigate a dispute. Once I get my money back I will be closing my account. I'm very disappointed. I had this card for about a year now.

    Walmart MoneyCard $25 promotional gift for tax refund deposit — I have had my Walmart MoneyCard for almost 2 years now, with no issues, this is officially my first one. I have called into the Walmart MoneyCard Customer Service Department two days in a row now. The first representative I spoke with told me that they had created a ticket for me about this $25 dollar gift issue and that it would be resolved within 24 hours.

    So, I waited and nothing was deposited in my account, so I called back a second time, the next day. At that point I was told by the second representative that the first representative had done nothing and filed the ticket incorrectly, and didn't get my information like he was supposed to, and that the first ticket had been closed, so I went through the whole process again and was told it would be another 24 hours to resolve the issue.

    Well, I just received an email from Walmart Notifications Center stating that I do not get the $25 promo because of my card type?!! Yet, I went online and specifically created my own personalized card through Walmart MoneyCard website, and paid 5 something dollars for it, and I still don't qualify? Then what does qualify me? Do I have to buy another card?!!! Not too happy.

    My MoneyCard was charged $229.99 from somebody in Florida and I live in Minnesota. They hacked my sister's Walmart acct online and got my card number and bought a cell phone. I called within 10 minutes of it being hacked to report the charge. Was told they can't do anything until it cleared and to call back then. Which I did. I emailed the dispute form along with an email showing the hacker's name and address he used for the delivery. I got denied my refund and was told, "We have concluded that this is a valid transaction and will remain on your acct". I am on disability and I don't have a lot of income and this was a HUGE blow to me. I am now late on paying some bills until my next check comes in. I am extremely upset over this and I feel the company doesn't care how much this has affected me.
