    I had my card for awhile now and one day I lost my card got a new and before I can activate it I get a message saying account has been blocked. I've tried call customer service and get no help. The have transferred me to account specialist and still no help. I've been on hold for over 3 and half hours waiting for someone to answer. I have my direct deposit going on here. I have wife and six kids I can't even provide for because money is blocked.

    On April 10th I found over 200 fraudulent charges to my MoneyCard in the amount of 2.49-2.99. They were all pending. I immediately called to report the charges, dispute the charges, and since they were all pending to have them deny the charges. I was told by customer service that they couldn't take my dispute or do anything until the charges posted.

    So the next day I called back to tell them they all posted and I wanted to dispute all of them. They took my information and issued me a case number. Then I was told it would take up to 10 days to review the case. I also had to email in a Transaction Dispute form (I printed out all the charges I could see but the online banking wouldn't let me see back to the previous day so I was only able print 140 of the charges). I sent the dispute form in that day as well. I called back around the 19th only to be told it was 10 business days so they would not make the decision to approve or deny my claim until the 25th. This is the 1st I was told they might deny it!! I also called Google, where all the charges came from, and they immediately refunded 42 of the charges with about an hour of research. Funny how Google can get done in an hour what WalMart can't get done in 14 days.

    Today is the 10th business day and I have yet to hear from WalMart so I called and was told that my claim had been denied because Google had refunded some of the charges and I could just deal with them to get the refund for the rest (I swear this is exactly what the customer service rep said)!!! They also said they mailed a letter today with this info so I get to wait ANOTHER week to see in writing their warped explanation.

    So, I sit here STILL out several hundred dollars and with only "Sorry for the inconvenience" from some random guy in another country, and being flat told by the financial institution that happily takes my money that I can just call another world wide company and deal with them to get my money back! They couldn't tell me this 14 days ago?! I will be following up with Google today and I will also continue to find every social media platform, message board, etc to spread the word that this company is a fraud. Their customer service is horrible, they could absolutely care less what this has done to me financially. I will also be contacting the FDIC to lodge a formal complaint. It will likely not help me at all but if I can be even a tiny thorn in their side and MAYBE keep this from happening to someone else them I'm doing it!

    I attempted to make a transfer from my money network account to another account. In doing so I made a mistake. So it was incorrect and would not transfer to the other bank. This was on a Friday morning at 2 a.m. At business hours on Friday morning 8 a.m. I called them about my mistake. They told me it would be one to two days before they can give back my $2,300. I waited to call back until Monday because that would be my one to two days where I was told that it would be yet another one to two days and it was incorrect, they would be keeping the money because I didn't call and time to cancel it which on Friday I did. Only they didn't look at it and didn't listen and so they didn't cancel it. They made me wait that one to two days with the money that belong to my insurance company not me $2,300 that I'm not having to pay $100 a day until it is given back which I was told now it will be another one to two days.

    Then starting on the 21st now they are saying the money will not even be available if at all until the 27th. Mind you is costing me $100 a day for this bank to keep my money. I feel as though they should pay $200 a day to the insurance company and any lost time that it's taken me to retrieve a mistake that could have been corrected that they actually told me to be quiet and listen to them instead of listening to my problem.

    I have had a Walmart MoneyCard for 8 years. My husband's paycheck is Direct deposited onto it as is my Disability check. Our money is on there early every month and it's extremely helpful. I am able to pay my bills with the card as well as do any online shopping I need to do. My husband and I each have a card for the same account which is very convenient because he works out of state at least 200 days a year. I have never had an issue other than losing my card and they were nice enough to overnight me 2 replacement cards. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

    I am completely locked out of my account. I can't speak to a real person and I can't use any of my money. Walmart was no help. Green Dot is a bust. I've called every number they have and they tell me to call the number that started all this **. I want this fixed now or my business is going elsewhere and I'm looking into the legal system because my money is being withheld from me. And I'm done with Green Dot.

    First let me start off that I have had a Walmart Money Card for 2+ years with no incident. Although after my recent issues my family, friends, and me have stopped shopping at Walmart. The reason being is they support a shady company like Green Dot and do not hold Green Dot to any accountability. Let me explain what happened. I regularly check my balance through the text messaging commands and noticed a discrepancy of around $15. I tried checking through the history text command but I have never been able to get it work full-time. I then logged in online to look through my past transactions and noticed a withdrawal for $1.30 twice a day was being pulled by a company called sumacctstatus.com.

    Initially I called thinking perhaps it was charges for using the text-based service even tho I had never been made aware of charges applying to using it. It was at this point the lady on the phone line told me that it in fact wasn't them but this company going by the name acct.sum. So I immediately disputed the charges and had them close the card and send me a new one while also getting the info to file dispute charges that I had to email them or send through the mail. Which I have never had to do with any other card in my WHOLE life.

    I quickly did some research on the name sumacctstatus.com which means I literally just typed it into the Google search bar to see what comes up. Sure enough it's a scam where they get a hold of a card user's info and using that info they quickly sign you up for various erotica websites for which I assume they get a kick back. This was literally the very first post I clicked on and there was PAGES regarding this acct.sum and the scam associated with it. So I go to fill out the dispute form they provide but it can't be filled out be phone or tablet so you either have to have access to a computer with the right software or you manually write it and mail it to them which could take up 10 business day.

    Fast forward 3 days my new card arrives which was faster than normal which I think is great. I activate it, load some money, pay some bills and go about my way. Literally 2 days later I stop in at Walmart to load money on my card and it won't let me and the lady tells me to call to find out the problem. So I call and proceed to listen to an automated voice tell me my account has been closed due to activity on it and that I am no longer allowed to have a card with Walmart or Green Dot and that my dispute was closed. I didn't get a phone call, a letter or anything notifying me of this. I had even logged into a my Walmart money center account online the night before and it made NO mention of my account being closed. It gave me no option to talk to a representative either. It would just repeat the same message and hang up on me. I literally had to act like I was filing another claim before it would give me an option to talk to a representative.

    It took an 1 HOUR AND 22 MINS roughly of being on hold before I finally I was able to speak to someone. She then proceeds to tell me my account was closed due to suspicious activity and the dispute was ruled against because their investigative team called the vendor and the vendor supplied all of my card info. To which I replied, "Of course they had my info how else were they able to charge it". I then told the lady to pull her phone out and run a Google search on the name sumacctstatus.com and see what it says.

    Some investigative team you have at Green Dot and walmart.com. I repeatedly asked to be connected to this investigative team to which she refused. I then asked why the exact reason my card was closed for suspicious activity when any person with half a brain could have looked back through my history and seen what I have used my card for. I can tell you exactly what will come up. Google play charges, medical charges, phone bill charges, Hulu charges, and the occasional walmart.com purchase. So tell me what exactly is wrong with those purchase for Green Dot and Walmart to decide to close my card WITH NO warning and not allow to ever have one through their company again. They didn't even give me enough time to get the evidence together to send in before deciding my claim was false.

    Anybody with a half a brain and a Google search could have found that the name charging my account is linked to MULTIPLE SCAMS. NO. Somehow I'm the that gets stolen from and then gets screwed over by Green Dot and Walmart both when I try to stop somebody from stealing from me. All the lady said she could do was reopen the case and for me to resend the info in and I'm like, "Why you didn't give me enough time before to prove my case why would this time be any different", 2+ years of using the same Walmart money card and in 2 short weeks they screw me so badly all because I tried to keep someone who had stolen my account info from getting more of my money.

    I passed this story on to every social media outlet I'm a part of including newspapers and networks and I'm also contacting the Better Business Bureau and reporting Green Dot and Walmart both for underhanded business tactics. My family, friends, and co-workers are all in the process of canceling their cards over this since they are afraid if their info gets stolen they will be treated the same way. So pat yourself on the back Green Dot and Walmart. You just lost a substantial amount of money over underhanded practices. P.S. Here is a free tip to your "investigative team". It's call Google search and it is amazing for finding stuff you are obviously incapable finding out yourself. You really should fire them and hire somebody competent. Extremely Dissatisfied Customer.

    My card was hacked on 4/18/17. Called the only number for the card and talked to an agent, explained that I had been hacked. They secured my card but I have direct deposit and it still shows on my old card that was secured. I cannot reach a live agent to see when my new card will be here. It's been 5 business days. Really need to find out if my money will be transferred to my new card when it arrives. I need to know when my card will arrive. It's put me in a huge bind to not reach anyone on customer support. A call would be appreciated so I can have my questions answered.

    I bought this card and they say you get your deposits early, ha, that's a joke. Google paid me on the 21 first yet they don't pay me until the 22. Also forget getting paid on a Friday. They make me wait to Monday. Just horrible. I am going back to NetSpend. They paid me on time and fast!!!

    April 6th I filed a dispute and was very keen in mentioning one of the transactions in particular after calling and tracking my dispute non stop. April 20th I get a refund for 104.**... yes I am irritated that does not cover the 149.99 transaction. I was keen to repeat and mention it covers the smaller disputes but not that one... I call in and guess what? Yeah that one was not even on the dispute but how!? How is it not when it was the first transaction I wrote on the dispute form and the one I kept asking and making sure it was covered... so now guess who has to write a new dispute and wait a whole another two weeks with a small chance of getting my dispute approved because they ** up me. Yeah that's what I was told being that a dispute was already filed and this transaction wasn't on it. ** me... never again. If it wasn't because my tax return will be arriving soon I would close my account today.

    I am on hold now as we speak and it has been over an hour for holding time and a guy answered the phone and then said he was going to transfer me to someone thirty minutes ago. The worst On hold for a prepaid card for over an hour and I never had to go through this with a traditional bank. This is horrible and I am pretty upset. I am actually still on the phone only if I really didn't need to get a hold of them for fraudulent charges but this is so so so bad right now that I have been on the phone this long as we speak. I have been on hold so long I had nothing but time to sit down and write this review while I am still waiting on hold for customer service.

    On 4/20/17 I went to Walmart store #04648 and purchased a Walmart MoneyCard at one of the registers. The money center was not attended by anyone. The cashier Brie swiped the card and charged me $1.00 for the card and loaded $69.92 which I gave her in cash. When I came home to register the card it showed I had a zero balance on the card. I called the 800 # which is an automated line and got a zero balance. I called the Walmart I purchased it from and they said to come back to the store and ask for a manager.

    At this time the Money center was open and the customer service rep there was very empathetic and called Eric the Assist Manager. He also was very attentive. I provided the card, the packaging and the receipt to prove the purchase. They called the same 800 # and got the same balance info on the card. - 0 - We tried to reach a live person on line to talk to but no one ever came to the phone (20 minutes in now). The manager at the store said to make a copy of the receipt and for me to come back in the morning. I asked if they were going to call in the morning and she said, "No I'm not gonna call." I told her I had all of the money I have on that card. I asked if it was possible to be reimbursed and they said no. So I'm out 69.92 and no one is wiling to help me.

    Now I have to go back to the Walmart in the morning to do this all over again. I just want either the card to have the money on it or to be reimbursed the $70.92 ($69.92 on the card and $1.00 purchase cost for the card). Your manager, although she remembered me when I purchased the card (because she had to void out the initial transaction) Brie the cashier put in $70.92 on the card and then charged me $1.00 which I didn't have. So the transaction was cancelled and re-done with $69.92 on the card. This is a huge mess and even though it's $70 it's all the money I have and I'm going out of town for two weeks now with no money. The manager didn't seem to care and was not invested in this issue. She was attending to other customers and made comments about what to do. I would think that Walmart would have been more empathetic and proactive in helping me - A CUSTOMER - in this issue.

    It would be nice to be able to talk to a real person. I need help with something that the automated service can't help with. Horrible. I had a card a while back, used it for some time. Now I need to dispute a few things on my credit report and I need a transaction history. The automated service says my entries are invalid and there is no option to speak to anyone for any reason.

    I loved my card when I first got it. Easy set up and direct deposit often received my deposit 1- 2 days in advance. Well after about 6 months in there were a lot of technical issues. Today I was to receive my direct deposit like I do every other Wednesday. How convenient they received my direct deposit even estates so on the automated system. The customer service rep even said so on the phone after being on hold for about 2 hours. But for some reason due to technical difficulties yet again I have no access to my money and their technical team is "working" on it. They can't give me a time that it will be available and not only that I asked to speak with a supervisor but it seems there are none that work at their customer service center. This card is horrible and once I receive my deposit I will be closing the account.

    I am very distressed and reading some of the other experiences has distressed me even further. I had my Walmart Card Stolen on 3/31/17. I have been fighting to get my money back since. I had a police officer come by yesterday with a picture of the person that stole my card. When I called to inform them today they were too busy trying to get me off the phone and tell me to wait then put me in touch with someone that could put a notation on the account that pictures of someone other than me are present at the police station. I have had this card for years and never had to file a claim but this experience has really upset me. I have been denied one time because it was not properly investigated. The second claim I gave them the officer's name, the phone number because they did not contact the police department on the first claim even though a incident number was given. I ask to speak to someone different and keep getting pushed off.

    Yesterday I noticed a unauthorized transaction on my account. I tried to call, and after navigating your terrible phone tree, I was supposed to be connected to a human to discuss this and the other business dealing with fraudulent activity on my account. After waiting a half an hour, I had to hang up and got back to work (I was on my break). Today I try to log into the Walmartmoneycard.com website, and cannot get in at all, and each attempt gives off an error. I go to try to call and I get a pre-recorded message saying their system is having troubles, on a Wednesday during normal banking hours. In addition, This is the second time in two months(!) this has happened. So now I have to go about getting a new card all over again. This is unacceptable. This is a money card, and I not only cannot access my money (because it was basically stolen) but now I can't even contact these dolts in order to try to straighten this out.

    I had someone steal my card number. I called and the customer service person told me that it was still pending and wait for it to go through. BUT why should I wait for it to go through if I'm telling you that I didn't make the purchase. I said no and asked for a new card because my direct deposit will be on my card tonight. After everything is said and done, I contacted the company (as I was told to by the customer service person and then call Walmart MoneyCard back to let them know if they will give me my money back). Things didn't go well so I tried to call back. I couldn't get through to talk to a money card representative to find out if I was keeping the same routing number. Now I'm sitting here mad, can't talk to anyone, I don't know where my paycheck is. Oh yeah and I can't even look on the internet to check either. It should be something in place for these kinds of situations.

    On March 13th 2007, I placed the order with kmart.com, for a TV stand in which I already had some credit points which came out to be $31, and I will have to pay $23.10 off of my Walmart MoneyCard toward the tv stand I order online. On March 20th when I didn't hear back from kmart.com concerning my order delivery date I call Kmart customer service and I was informed to give them 72 hours; that they would do a claim and get back with me in 72 hours to tell me my order status. On the 24 of March, I was informed that the other was no longer in stock and they don't carry it and my order has been canceled, and my account would be refunded within 3 to 5 days. After the 3 to 5 days time period I still didn't receive my refund back, and I call customer service at Kmart again and I was told that my money was refunded back to my account on the 24th of March. I never received the money.

    I filed a dispute with Walmart MoneyCard. I even fax them in the corresponding back and forth that I was having with Kmart and Kmart stating that they refunded my card back. It was clearly visible that the money was deducted out of my account for $23.10 on March 13, 2017 but the money was never put back into my account, so I did the dispute with Walmart MoneyCard and this week they got back in touch with me and told me that my claim was denied and the case was closed but the money or $23.10 was still taking out of my account showing on my card statement to kmart.com and replaced. Never got the order because it was canceled.

    I send them all the letters, all the correspondence and I don't understand how they just going to keep my money for something I didn't get. It was canceled. I called Kmart back after that came out. People stated in that they gave the money. They send the money back to my Walmart MoneyCard and the customer service at Walmart MoneyCard. When you want to talk to me concerning the matter any further after they did that a dispute and denied it. Kmart said it was my card who made the mistake.

    You know when I am calling customer service for most products, I can usually speak to someone from the US, but when I call the Walmart MoneyCard customer service number, I am routed to a call center in the Philippines? I know that these customer service representatives are in the Philippines because I regularly travel there and I have a hard time understanding them normally. I just don't understand why Walmart claims to create "American jobs" but their call centers are in the Philippines. I just spent the better part of two hours on the phone with them, albeit 45 minutes of this time was on hold. I am not a happy person right now. I had an easier time talking to the IRS today, and was through with my call on tax day in under 25 minutes.

    I'm writing because I'm upset. I have had my prepaid Walmart card since 2014 and I love it. I have my paycheck direct deposited and pay my bills. Well I recently download the app on my iPhone and started trying to save my money by using the stash feature. I just unstashed 30.00 so I could turn my cell back on but it shows the 30.00 taken from my stash balance but not added to my account balance. Therefore I'm short 30.00 to turn my prepaid cell back on. These things always happen to me and I just wish for once things would go right for me!!! Please get my 30.00 back into my account so I can use my cellphone. Thank you.

    My husband purchased a Walmart MoneyCard at our local Walmart store, I went online to activate the card and the system keeps stating that the card info is not correct. We then tried the phone number that was located on the sticker for activation, same problem (automated service). My husband and I attempting it each 20 more times, each time same problem. After a few hours of complete frustration, I took the card back to the Walmart that the card was purchased at with the receipt and the lady at customer service tried to activate it also and was unable to, they will not refunding my money that I put on the card or replace the card. They stated to call the customer service on the card. It is also a automated service, there is no way possible to reach a live person.

    This whole situation is completely ridiculous. I was hoping to use this card for online purchases to keep my personal checking/saving account safe. So after hours of wasting my time and my husband's, we are out our money and haven't been able to reach any person that has any clue. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS CARD.

    Never had a problem with Walmart MoneyCard until last payday. My check is direct deposit onto my card and somebody in California used my card to shop WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!! I did everything they asked me to on disputing the transactions trying to get my money back and yet Walmart DENIED my dispute like I have money to throw away.

    I had got $20.31 in cash back rewards and two days later in my transaction history it says "cash back rewards reversal." I don't know why it got reversed but if I wasn't suppose to get that 20 dollars in the first place don't let me acquire it because I spent some money I thought I could spend because I had got those rewards. Now I'm put in a bind. It would be nice to get that 20 dollars back.

    I had $500 dollars stolen out of my account in a different city and 4 minutes later they tried to make another $500 transaction in the same store. I even made a withdraw in my own town within 20 mins of the fraud transaction. Filed a dispute with Walmart, got a new card, filed a police report, police department contacted Walmart Green Dot to confirm it wasn't me making the transaction.

    Ten days later Walmart denies my dispute saying it was a transaction authorized by me and they would be sending me a letter in the mail. A month later since the fraud, still no letter from Walmart and currently waiting on the results of my second dispute. Customer service is zero help in anyway. I'm beginning to think they are selling customer card numbers because a blind person could see this was not a transaction made by me with all the evidence. Your money has zero protection from Walmart. They are the real frauds here.

    I found out my tax refund went to a Walmart MoneyCard I did not receive. I called them. Even the merchants told them it wasn't me. They sent me a letter from the Walmart MoneyCard saying they did a investigation and found out it wasn't me but still refuse to give my money back. The whole 10 days they was doing the investigation they told me would be getting my funds back. Here I am still trying to get them back.

    I have not been able to get access to my direct deposited funds on the Walmart MoneyCard!! I have called the Walmart MoneyCard Support line for the past week and a half every day, and I NEVER can speak to a customer specialist!! I had started a new job and they only would pay me via direct deposit. I did not have a bank account when I started so they suggested I get a Walmart MoneyCard. I set it up and provided my employer with the account number and routing number. Two weeks passed by and I still had not received my personalized moneycard.

    My job had me working out of town every week, so I could not be at home to receive my card, and I was concerned that my card would be stolen. So as a precaution, I called the support line (waited an hour & a half for the call to be answered). I instructed the representative to send my card to a different address and I paid the $15 Rush Fee, and I was assured that I would receive the card in three day. I would receive the new card in time to activate before my direct deposit posted. It has been almost 2 weeks and I still have not received the new card. I checked my original card on the day my direct deposit was supposed to have posted and it did NOT show up on my original card. It says my original card is blocked & no longer activated, and I still have not received my new card!!!

    I have been trying for almost two weeks to get through to the support center and have waited for up to 4 hours to try and get a live person, and still have not!!! My payroll dept. says it looks like the deposit was made to the original card, but the Moneycard systems is indicating that they no longer recognize my moneycard!!! The Moneycard website says that your card can be un-blocked if you go to their secure site and upload a picture of your driver's license and information. When I tried to do that, the system still says it does not recognize that card!! If I can't talk to someone to get this resolved, I am completely screwed and don't have a dime because I can't get access to my money, which is $900!! Please Help!!

    I have been waiting and waiting to get access to the money on my card. Everything that has been told to me was either a lie and did not happen. I am so angry and disappointed in the lack of urgency in getting my issue resolved. Today is the 5th day I have $1.53 available on my card. I have had 2 phone conferences with me, Hertz, and the MoneyCard team. I have talked to 2 different Corp Account Mgrs, both of whom assured me that my money would be available in the night process and it did not happen. I now have a 7 day notice to vacate on my door because I have not been able to pay my rent due to my money being unavailable to me and still no resolution.

    Something needs to happen within today, not the night cycle. You cannot make me believe that there is not a way to go in and manually manipulate the change. No sane IT person would develop a system like that. I have been patient enough. It's now time for results. I need access to my money within the hour. 5 days to fix a problem is enough. I am so tired of hearing "I am sorry" and "I understand" from reps that have money in their pocket and not having to borrow money. There is nothing more frustrating when you have funds and cannot get to them. This is not a credit card. It is a money card, and it is my money you are keeping from me.

    Updated on 10/11/2017: The card yet again has left me stranded with no access to money. I called in to customer service to tell them I needed to order another card. The associate puts me into the automatic system and it tells me that I will not get it in 7 business days. I call back into customer service and they tell me a way to get an expedited card, but I have to wait 24 hours to change my address and they will send me a card. I follow the direction of the associates and I wake this morning to a notification that my card is now blocked and I have to send in verification before I can use my card. I can't call into and talk to a person, I keep getting the automated service, and it hangs up on me.

    My direct deposit will hit, and I will have no access to my money. I can't talk to a person, and if I do it will be on some offshore call center to where they will not understand me or I can't understand them. This is another time that a major situation has happened and I get no resolution, I am the one that has to jump through hoops, and you all have my money. For anyone reading this review, message me before you get this card, I will give you all the detail. This is utterly ridiculous to believe that two major instances happen within a 6 month period, and yet again, I cannot get the customer service to help me. I can't even talk to a LIVE PERSON!!! You all need to reach out to me and help resolve this issue, I am traveling, a card should be arriving shortly, and I need access to my funds.

    I pay my rent using my Walmart money card via routing number and account number. I've been doing this for the past months but suddenly when I pay my April rent it got rejected. Customer service said that it got rejected for some odd reason. The rep said that she will let her supervisor know what happened so it can be escalated to technical support. I mean now my apartment manager will charge me a fee for having a rejected payment which is not even my fault because I had the funds to cover my rent. This really pissed me off. Walmart money card should be responsible for my rent fee that occurred!!

    I wonder if the positive reviews on here are fake profiles. I have had nothing but trouble with this card, as long as I have owned it. The most recent issue, was I was told, if I had my federal tax refund deposited on this card, I would earn a 25 dollar credit. Apparently they bend and change the rules after you apply, to prevent you from ever getting this money. When the promotion started I called a customer service rep, to verify I was eligible. I was told I had to have a refund of at least 500 dollars to qualify. I never saw a dime. When I called back, I was now told, the minimum refund amount was 2,500 dollars, and I wasn't eligible. I filed a complaint with them, and I simply got an automated response, that said was card wasn't eligible. So after you apply, they change the rules as needed to keep you from seeing your money.

    Customer service at this company is awful, and it's in some foreign country, so you can't understand the reps. They are usually rude, and if they don't like you, they will simply hang up on you. The option to reach a customer service rep, is also often missing from the automated menu. The last time I had to reach a rep, because my card stopped working, I had to call 14 times, before I got the option to press 4. "That's not a valid option, sorry you are having trouble, goodbye!!" If that option isn't there, it's impossible to reach a human. In the 2016 Green Dot meltdown, I wasn't able to access money for 2 days, and no customer service. I found out later, they compensated many people with this Walmart, green dot card, by crediting them 50 dollars. I asked why I wasn't compensated, and was told once again "I wasn't eligible". So I couldn't access any of my money, ran out of gas, but I wasn't eligible like others with the SAME card.

    Recently they updated their customer service, which meant there was no customer service for almost 24 hours. Of course once again, my card went down, even though they claimed it had no effect. And nothing but an 'I'm sorry" message when trying to call them, luckily I had some cash. Stay away from this card, if you have one, keep cash on you. I have had more than one experience, when the card has been declined at a restaurant, with plenty of money to cover the bill. As soon as I find an alternative, it's going in the trash. As far as needing the last 4 digits of my card on here, the system won't recognize them, it never has. I always have to type in the entire number on the phone.

    I love the ease of this card and the application, however, I do not like my balance printing on random restaurants, retailers and gas station receipts! There has to be a way to shut this feature off. It wasn't happening the whole time, in fact, it didn't start happening until a drive-thru experience at McDonald's. PLEASE HELP!

    I've noticed this a lot now and it's everywhere. Why is my balance on receipts? It's irresponsible and dangerous. Is every person that comes into contact with my card number a saint? I don't think so. How do I know my account won't be drained after ordering this pizza I'm eating from Domino's? Can I afford ANY lengthy process of trying to recover lost funds? NO! It's no one's business and confidential information. I find it ridiculous that I have to point that out! I've had this card for several years and this is making me think to go elsewhere.

    I have been a Walmart MoneyCard holder and user for at least 7 years. I had a dispute and was cancelled dispute. I purchased a ultimate male pills which were free except for ship/and handling 5.99 so I paid s/h. It rang thru to my phone telling me my card had a purchasing. Just what I purchased. 5 minutes later another purchase then another. I did not purchase anything else. This company is a scam. Vital body and shape. They also charged me bold Beauty pro 5.99 then again charged me health revival lab no2 which I made this purchase in the early am hours.

    They knew I couldn't contact my card people till the following days but now I have been removed from ever having a walmart card and they have 19.95 plus 5.99 plus 89.99. That is 100 plus of my money that Walmart moneycard let them steal from me. I'm glad they cancelled my card and will no longer let me open another account with them. 7 years and 10s of thousands of my dollars will no longer be going through their bank and I will be cancelling my wife's card also. This bites my **. 1 time I complain and I'm banished And no one from this company will even talk to me. I say good freakin' riddance.

    The money card fee schedule clearly states that you can withdraw funds at a Walmart service counter or register at no charge. I recently printed it out and showed it to a manager. Still had to pay $3 to get the money to pay rent. Their excuse was I must have an old card. I might just have to get a shiny new card elsewhere.

    I'm writing a review trying to get help in my matter dealing with this Walmart MoneyCard. March 1st 2017 my card had an unauthorized charged on it. Money had been taken out my account without my permission so I contact them to file a dispute and I have been getting a runaround about them getting my money back to me. It's been a month so far haven't received any updates or anything. Every time I call I get told the same thing about they are still under investigation and I think it's unfair to me for someone to able to take my money anytime. They want to and get away with it so I will not have my direct deposit sent to this card no more. I just want my money back.

    I've never had any issues with my direct deposit coming thru on my card for 4 yrs! Until today... My employer submits our payroll by Wednesday evening. It has to be in by then and approved, etc. That's why I get my direct deposit like clockwork by 3am Thursdays. I called Walmart MoneyCard customer service and all they say is "we don't have anything." Well that's not a good enough answer! I want to know where my money is! My employer said he submitted yesterday and it's already been taken care of. So why would Walmart not have any record of it? Especially when we're now going on 15 hrs. past when my money always goes on my card. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I can't be worrying about where my money is.

    I am unable to cash payroll checks or use photo deposit 99% of the time because Certegy flags them. They are unable to give a reason and just keep telling me to try on a different day. The closest Walmart is 30 min from me and the line in the money center is always about 30 min long. I do not want to keep making a 60-mile round trip to try and cash a check. MoneyCard and Certegy are not a good mix and I will probably have to discontinue business with the Walmart MoneyCard. It's just too frustrating. I've called several times and received zero explanation, or help.

    I just got my card today with my name on it and I tried to activate it and it told me there was a block on it and I had to send a picture of my ID to walmartmoneycard.com/documentupload. So I look it up and followed what it told me to do and I sent a picture and tried to call and see if it worked. And it told me it was not a good picture and that it did not work so I tried a few more time. It said the same thing. I tried to call customer service and was on hold for almost 2 hours and got no answer. I have my check going into that account tomorrow and I will have over 1000 dollars in there and I need my money TODAY. Please give me a call so I can figure this out please. ** thanks.

    I thought prepaid visa was a safe way to go. WRONG! My card was used without my knowledge or consent. I did everything like they said. I canceled my card, got police report, filled out the dispute forms, sent in the police report and forms. Yet, dispute DENIED! Now it will take years through the courts for me to see a dime of it, if I ever do! So don't believe your funds will be protected through them! They lie!

    My husband tried several times to get a 2nd card for me. We have been married for 34 years and always lived together and both on the house deed and been living at our house now for over 14 years. We have never before had problems getting a card or having anyone of our addresses during our marriage not matching up with either one of us until now. I have been trying for several days. The system couldn't verify the second card person (me) address. We have called the customer service number a few times. It seems they couldn't help. They said I need to call a government office, and each agent kept suggesting I apply for another card. The whole point was for us to be on the same card number.

    No one would let us talk with a supervisor until my husband demanded to speak to one and the supervisor repeated the same speech and my husband asked for someone higher. The supervisor if that is what you want to call him hung up in my husband face. I think his name was Eric. I don't see why they can't just order the card for customers over the phone. They are useless and very poor customer service. I ended up ordering another card. It says when I load the funds I'll be charged $5 and a $5 service charge every month. I think they have it set up not to give out a 2nd card so we can order another card to make more money. I don't think I'm going to use the card. I'm going to look elsewhere for a money card for us. Rude Supervisor. He should never hang up in a customer face. He should not be in a supervisor position for customers. You never hang up on your customers.

    I recently noticed that the balance of my account printed on the merchant copy of a restaurant receipt. I contacted Walmart MoneyCard and was told that was done by the merchant and that they have the ability to request that information and to call the restaurant. I contacted the restaurant and was told they did not do that nor do they know how to do such a thing. This is very dangerous to have card holders account balance randomly printing on receipts. It could leave you vulnerable to attacks, break ins, etc. I am just so sick and tired of going back and forth about this. I chose not to upload a copy of my receipt for fear of hacking. I look forward to hearing from someone about this matter.

    I haven't had too many issues with the Walmart MoneyCard since I set it up a month or so ago. My husband and I both had set up to have our direct deposits put onto this card. I have since taken mine off but he was still having his sent to the card. He got paid yesterday and had taken out some money to pay a bill and we maybe used it a couple other times at the gas station for drinks and stuff. Well, we woke up this morning and stopped to put gas in and get a few things to only find out the card has been blocked for unusual activity. It stated we have to scan my ID and wait 2 business days for the review and to have our money. I understand being safe and protecting our money but this is ridiculous. That is all the money we have right now and we desperately had to take care of another bill today. Let alone we also had to get food for our home and gas.

    Now we are in a mess because of this and I'm so angry. I tried calling to speak with someone but couldn't get a rep. There's no way we can wait two business days and reading other people's issues with this I'm very concerned if it's going to actually be two business days. We scanned my ID and are now waiting. I'm really praying that something happens quickly. I have kids to feed and I have to have gas to get to work. Plus like I said now we can't pay the bill we needed to today. I guess we will see but hoping to get this cleared up asap, if not I'll see what steps I need to take to make sure it is. I will answer whatever questions are needed, I just need my money. Please if anyone knows if there is a way to get this done quicker than two business days I would love to know. Plus is the two business days counting today, I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Stressed out and broke at the moment.

    Had a core refund put on my Walmart Card on Saturday March 25, did not actually get posted until the following evening. Went to use card on Monday March 27, 2017, card was decline. I checked balance on my card through the text and it showed the money was there. Monday evening I spent 3 hours and 15 minutes on hold waiting for Customer Service, no Customer Service Agent ever picked up. Tuesday morning I spent another hour and 47 minutes on hold waiting and again no Customer Service Agent answered. You would think in that time period an agent would answer the phone

    I've had my WM Money Card for about a year now. I've had relatively no issues with it, aside from the app/service being down sometimes. Until this past weekend, I moved the remaining $100 from my "Vault" over to my checking via their cell phone app. Then suddenly the app froze during the transfer, it timed out... I attempted several more times in the next couple of minutes to transfer the same $100 from the Vault to Checking, each time it timed out. So I waited patiently for about 30 minutes to try again, this time the app did not load so I called the 1-800 customer service # on the card, only to be presented with a message that there are "currently technical issues that we addressing" over the phone from a pre-recorded message.

    When I finally was able to log back into my app, I saw that my Vault was $100 smaller balance than I had, it showed now $0 in my Vault and the money was not credited to checking. It's been 3 days now, I have attempted to call to speak with a real person and I have been put on hold through the automated system for over 30 minutes on each call. I cannot get through to a live agent! Somehow I still seem to acquire "Prize Entries" daily, even though I have $0 balance in my vault, and the money never moved to checking. My $100 transfer got "stuck" somehow during their downtime over the weekend, as I transferred it right when their service went down. I've not been credited with the money, and can't get a hold of anyone on the phone. I thought perhaps this would self-correct. You can clearly see I made a deposit into the vault, and the withdraws are exactly $100 short of what is available.

    I purchased a Walmart Money Card on 03/21/2017, and loaded $200 on it. A few days later, the $5 monthly fee was removed. That was fine. On 03/25/2017, I reloaded an additional $20 to it. I went back to my hotel room, and proceeded to pay my rent online, which was $204.99, but it was declined ($195+20=$215). When I called the automated number, it stated that I still only had $195. Upon speaking with customer service, I was told that they were having technical difficulties, and there was no estimated time that they would be resolved, and to also keep checking my balance throughout the day.

    At 4 pm that day, I checked it, and I only had $20. I called to check recent transactions, and the bill I tried to pay "was approved", or so they said. But when I called my property manager, she said it wasn't paid on her end. I was on the phone with rude, condescending reps all evening, with no resolution. Walmart placed a hold on funds for a transaction that was never completed, and gave me an invalid confirmation number. I was told that my funds wouldn't be released until 04/06/17, and my rent was due 03/25/2017. I spoke with supervisors and corporate to no avail. My family and I had nowhere to go when we got back from out of town all because of them. I am in search of a lawyer today.

    Up until this point, the Walmart card was great. Yesterday, tried to get some money out of the vault and was told three different error messages why I couldn't transfer my money. Then the vault balance shifted to zero! Thank goodness I screenshot everything. Called the number on the back of the card. The lady kept saying she understood and to "try again in a few hours". Well, I gave them 24... and after a whole day, I STILL CAN'T ACCESS MY MONEY! They say you can't withdraw from the vault and that you can transfer to the operating funds ANY time... I guess anytime but when I need it! I'm facing late charges and risk losing my storage unit now among other issues. I'm really really disappointed in Walmart!!

I have not been able to access my money in my online vault at all in over 48 hours. I've called several times and get the same response. "I'm sorry, but we are working to fix the issue."     I've had the Walmart MoneyCard for over 5 years now... with the occasional small fluke but today takes the cake. I am a single mom who has to save for large purchases. After months of saving I went to purchase what I had worked many hours of overtime for only to see that I couldn't transfer MY MONEY from the vault as I had "exceeded the daily limit of 20 (!!) transactions." I called and waited for 62 min, and no human picked up. I emailed their Facebook page, received response, replied... nothing.

    The way I understand it is if I take somebody's money without permission and don't give it back I go to jail for theft. What happens to Walmart MoneyCard when they take your money and don't give it back? I will be paying the extra money needed to open up a regular checking account now once I get my money back. (Btw, I even woke up after midnight just now to try to make a transfer and am still being told I've exceeded my limit. I have not made any transfers since March 15th. And who is Walmart to put a limit on the money I can spend when it's my money not theirs?)

    I have had my Walmart MoneyCard for several years and have had no issues. I love my card. It has been easy to use, load, buy things online, send money, etc. But I had one issue last year with it when they had this big conversion and Walmart money card ended up keeping $185 of my money which I never got back. However my paychecks are direct deposited to my Walmart money card so I continue to use it after they fixed it and I just took the loss.

    But now my question is... I keep my money on my card, I always keep a balance and I put money into my online vault, so my question is today it's not letting me have any access to my funds in the online but it keeps saying I've reached my limit of transfers for the day. I've never had this issue ever in all the years that I've had this card, so what is going on with my card? Why can I not access my money? I cannot remove my money from my vault to my account so that I can make a purchase. It just seems like more issues keep arising with this card as of lately, and when I call customer service I was in hold for over an hour and finally just gave up, with the hopes that tomorrow I'll be able to access my funds... Walmart money card, you are starting to disappoint me.

    I have never used a more difficult card in my life! I get my permanent card and go to activate it but it says it is already active. I put money on the card at Walmart and about an hour later I go to use the card and it will not work! I try to log onto my account online but it will not let me log in!     Had this card for over a year. Always deposited funds onto it at my local Walmart with no problem. Earlier today I went through the same routine as always. Deposited some cash onto my card, and then came home to pay bills online with it. I've currently been unable to access my funds for over an hour. Nothing appears to be wrong with the account, the transaction just isn't there. Every other time I've done this the funds were available immediately. I've been on the phone with customer service for over 45 minutes. Yet to talk to a human. Earlier I was on hold for over 20 minutes. Instead of getting a representative they just forwarded me to the survey and ended the call. Unreal. Thank god I saved the receipt, although who knows if I'll ever see my money at this point. Needless to say when I get this all sorted out, I will be looking for a new service.

    I go to transfer money from my vault and it states there has been an error (app). I try to unstash money on the website and it says I have reached my daily limit and I can try again tomorrow. This would be my first transfer of the day. The help icon that explains the vault says you can transfer money as many times as you want whenever you want. The fine print on the disclosure side says maximum of 20 times per day. Yet I have not been able to transfer anything today. Still on hold for over 45 minutes now and I am sure they will tell me what they did last time, "We can't transfer money over the phone." This is the second time this has happened and it always seems to happen at important times like needing to put gas in my car out of town on a trip. Ugh someone help.

    I originally got the MoneyCard because I was going through a divorce, moving & starting school (which required me to take a job making around $7/hr). Remaining with my bank was no longer an option due to high fees. At times, my entire check was only enough to cover the fees. Switch to the Walmart MoneyCard. Only a low maintenance fee (which is waived after depositing a certain amount each month). Saving those fees allowed me to have a little more in my "pocket" each month.     Having a more extensive, detailed bank statement will be beneficial for both Walmart Moneycard/Green Dot Bank and their consumers. Statements would include (on paper and mobile app) all pending transactions, completed transactions and declined transactions permanently with exact date and time the card was used instead of today's (03-22-17) setup which shows pending transactions only for the time it's pending then disappearing from statements once completed showing the date of completion and not the actual date the charge was first processed. This confuses Customer Service Representatives as well as consumers who are reading from the consumers' account. CSRs will have more accuracy and understanding of transaction history which will better assist them with assisting us, the consumer when dealing with general questions and concerns.

    I feel that it is a rip off to charge someone a monthly fee whether they use the card or not. Then there is a fee to add money to the card. I have had to put money on the card to pay a bill only to forget that there were monthly fees that took away from what I needed to pay on a bill. Then you're left to figure out how to tell someone that you can't pay what you agreed.     I enjoy the ease of loading my card at Walmart, as well as the rewards that I can gain. However, I would much prefer if the card itself had a Visa logo, as it is a Visa card. The lack of a Visa logo makes it appear to be a gift card and childish. The biggest issue that I have with the Walmart card is that my balance appears on multiple restaurant receipts.     I have had a positive experience with the Walmart MoneyCard. I love that there are no hidden fees, possibility of an overdraft, or any of the other crap that comes with having a regular bank or credit union account. The $5 min monthly fee adds up and preferred when it was only $3, but I understand inflation rates and the need to make some sort of profit to keep offering this service. I wish the minimum balance needed to waive the min fee was less and more reasonable than $1,000 as I am in a low-mid income household and will never reach that $1,000 threshold. I think that is too high and a way to keep making money monthly on that $5 fee. But overall I am happy and love that the card is accepted everywhere.

    I do have one major complaint though that I can't withdraw cash other than $20 max cash back during a purchase. Even at a Walmart money center I was denied getting cash back. What the hell?! It's my preloaded money and should be able to access and pull it off of there any time I like no qualms about it!!! Please fix whatever policy prevents that!!! Thank you!

    I got a Walmart MoneyCard, for a job I had started, it was great! Direct Deposits always on time, amount accurate. I had had the card for quite some time. So one Saturday morning I was going to go shopping, pay bills, went to ATM, and there was nothing, Nada, all of the rest of my paycheck was gone. A cable comp. that I hadn't used for over 2 + yrs, had emptied my funds out for the next 2 weeks. I was Livid. That was the first time. The second time was a few yrs later last yr. As a matter of fact, a fitness center took money out of my account, the rest of my paycheck again, I hadn't been to the fitness club for a few months nor did I know I was under contract.

    Regardless who is monitoring our $ isn't that what's Supposed to be done? Aren't or isn't someone there to protect you and your $? If the watch transactions wouldn't you think after 2+yrs of not paying a bill in the same acct. # why would you all of a sudden? They wouldn't refund (Theft) transactions Even if I could have proven it. And still charged me the lil monthly fee, they cancelled my card 2nd time and NEVER issued me my new card. I was going to give them a 3rd chance, why? IDK. The reps aren't even in the United States, I can barely understand them, how are they going to understand our money and how hard we work for it. Walmart get text alerts... You'll save customers a lot of heartache and inconvenience.

    My son is away at MOS in the military. He needs some money so I decided to get a card in my name and get a second one for him so he has access to my money. Got my card not his. I call them, they tell me they can't verify my son. He has to sign up for the second card. I call my son and do a 3 way call with him and Walmart. I say, "Ok here he is. Get it done." They tell him, "We can't." I said, "You told me you needed him to do it." Lady on phone says, "No, I didn't." While son is still on phone after that comment I said, "Ok, fine. Let's get him a card." She says, "We can't do that." I asked why. She says "we can't verify him, he has to do it." I said, "He is on the phone so get it done." She refused and then hung up on us.     This is second time that someone has gotten access to my card and stole my money! When I call I wait on the line for an hour or more. This is absolutely unacceptable. I called to ask about the transaction and made sure to let it be known that I didn't want my card cancelled until I got the rest of my money off (because the first time they cancelled it from the beginning of the call and told me I had to wait 10 days to get another). Then the guy tells me there is nothing they can do because it is still pending and kept telling me it was an authorized charge when the transaction was made in Canada and I live in North Carolina.

    Then I asked to speak to a manager and it took 45 minutes to get someone in the phone to tell me that they didn't have the number to corporate but could transfer me. So I get transferred to an American who tells me to wait until it posts, to call back and get my money back. I call and at this very moment I'm still on the phone going into my second hour of the music saying they are experiencing high call volumes and apologizing for my wait. I'm going to speak to a lawyer because this is ridiculous. I will never use anything Walmart/Green Dot after this for as long as I live. I am utterly and totally disgusted.

    I have used the WalMart Money Card for at least 5 years now and all of a sudden I can't receive my direct deposit and my new card that was sent to me in replacement of the one that expired amazingly isn't activated under my account even though I activated the card with no problem. I type in the last four of my social and all of a sudden the automated system for the first time ever says my information is invalid. I use my money card for lunch money and my primary paycheck goes in my joint bank account. I basically have no spending money now because Green Dot or WalMart has my money. I can't believe this garbage happening to me. I want and need my money and if I don't get it I plan to take legal action. I need to be heard on this. Very upset.

    I have had a Walmart MoneyCard for years now and have really had no problems until now. Last night I noticed two charges from the same company for about $100 was taken off of my card so I immediately called customer service and spoke with someone and told them what was going on and they told me I would have to wait until the transaction actually went through because at that time it was still pending. That had me frustrated from the get-go. So I waited a few days, check to make sure it went through, called, filed my dispute, got my claim number, email the paperwork back to them.

    So today I called to make sure that they received my dispute forms and spoke with a supervisor who proceeded to tell me that it's going to be another 10 days on top of the four since I first filed a dispute before as she put it may or may not get my money back or they may need more time now. I have never use this company. My phone is not through Boost and someone actually did 2 transactions on the same day for two separate amounts and they are making me wait to get my money back this someone else stole.

    What's so frustrating is they could pull the money out within 24 hours which in all seriousness could have been prevented since they could have stop payment while it was still pending. But they're going to make me wait two weeks if not longer before I get my money back. Yeah I'm sorry. I'm a single mom waiting on money that I worked really hard for. It can get frustrating and I even told them I have a dollar to my name. I don't get another paycheck for 2 more weeks. How am I supposed to feed my kids or pay for day to day things such as gas to get to work. I can assure you as soon as I get my money back I will no longer have a Walmart MoneyCard and I will tell everyone to not get one. This has me very upset. Someone can steal my money and take it out right away but they make me wait to get my money back. Sorry that's ridiculous.

    At the beginning, I did not have any problems with this card. The problem began when the site would not take my password. I followed the instructions and they said that they would email me a password or reset it for me. I never got the email. I tried at least three times. I called customer service. Their response is that my email account is blocking the message. Well it is not. The message is probably being blacklisted along it route to me. I receive emails all the time for password changes with no problem and I am a contractor that does business with my email account with no previous problems. It is the RESPONSIBILITY of the sender that the recipient receives the email. If I check my end and there is no problem, don't take the position that we sent it and it your problem.

    I call them to see if there was an alternative and they say "no. This is how we do it." Most companies will send an email within a few minutes but they say the email will take over 30 minutes. Walmart MoneyCard is not the best debit card to use. It does have some good points but in the end they failed to satisfy this customer by being stuck in their own rules instead of being a problem solver. At this point I switch to another debit card and so far so good.

    I purchased a Walmart MoneyCard from Walmart to use for my direct deposit, for my paycheck and for my tax refund. On March 1, 2017 I noticed a pending charge on my online account for 1933.20. It almost gave me a heart attack. I knew I had not made a purchase for that amount and I did not recognize the online business name that the purchase was made at. I immediately called Walmart MoneyCard and after being on hold for 50 minutes I finally reached a representative that informed me that I needed to wait and let the transaction go through and then call back to make a dispute.

    In the meantime they cancelled my card and mailed me out another one. The transaction was processed on March 2 so I called the 800 number again to file the dispute. They asked me to send the dispute in writing, and I did on March 2. They told me that I would have a resolution by March 16th. Yesterday was March 16 and I still do not have a resolution. I called Walmart MoneyCard again and they then informed me, over the phone, not in writing or in email, that my case has been extended for 45 days for further investigation.

    That was fine with me because it does say on the website under the dispute rules and regulations that this may happen. The problem I have with this is the way they also mislead the customer by also stating on the website that if the investigation has to be extended to the 45 days, the funds WILL BE made available to the customer so they don't have to wait. Walmart MoneyCard informed me that my funds would not be made available to me, that it is a case by case basis and in my case mine will not be made available. I asked the representative where it stated that in the rules and regulations under the dispute process online, she stated it does not. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she stated the supervisor could not tell me anymore than she already had and she refused to let me speak to a supervisor.

    This makes me feel like someone at Walmart MoneyCard may actually be the one who stole my money off of my card because they are just giving me the runaround about my own money. I will never use Walmart MoneyCard again for anything. How can this happen to someone and they act like they just don't care? That was my money and I had possession of my own card so how could this happen and Walmart MoneyCard just do nothing? I know there should be someone else I can reach out to so they can get this resolved. I filed a police report and sent it in with all of my other dispute information on March 2 but I guess that does not matter either. I have learned a very expensive lesson, always use a real bank because this would not have went on like this and they would make sure to get it resolved in a timely manner.

    I recently discovered an error with my direct deposit at my works website. I corrected the error before the direct deposit date. I contacted Walmart Green Dot and they are giving me a canned message of the same thing over and over again, meanwhile my employer has not received the decline payroll deposit and as a result of it, I am out of 1267.00 paycheck. This is blatant theft by Walmart. The account no. it was sent to does not exist. So it is obvious the money will sit in limbo, held in a Walmart bank somewhere, and my family will go without food, phone service, electricity, and I am going to lose my vehicle to repo man for not being able to pay my payments.     I wish could give them a ZERO. Walmart Money Card Security system sucks. Someone was able to call into customer service and change my login information and password. Know I have unauthorized charges on my account and I have to wait for them to investigate. This don't make any sense. The number on the back of the card does not work. You have to google to find a customer service number and then customer service want to get slick mouth and tell me I called in and change the login and password. NO Walmart money messed up and allowed someone to gain access to my account. Know it just a BIG inconvenience all the way around. Very bad look on Walmart.     I would give this product 0 stars if the option was available. I paid for the temporary card, added funds, and I expected my permanent card to be in the mail. This was TWO MONTHS ago. After receiving 2 emails that my card would be delivered in 2 days, no card... It was impossible to speak to a Human through any of the options on the automated system. I sent an email requesting a human to call me. I was contacted after days with the balance on my card frozen, yet another assurance that my card would be delivered, still not resolved a week later.

    I work in the automotive field and purchase parts just about every day. I purchased a Walmart Debit card to make things easier. I returned a couple of air conditioning compressors that I had lined up for some lined up jobs that never showed. When I went to return it, they didn't have the cash amount in the drawer so they asked if they could return it to my card. I agreed and swiped. Later that night I go to order something and I keep getting denied.

    I go to check my Walmart MoneyCard App and it says that my account is blocked until further review. I check the next day and it's still blocked. I try an ATM to be sure, and nothing. I called whilst trying to keep my composure the best I could. I know it's not the call center's fault, but all they could tell me is that my account has been blocked for returning goods that have not been originally purchased with the card.

    I don't understand this since they will gladly accept direct deposit and tax refunds to be funnelled into their debit card. They asked for me to send proof of purchase for a little over $1,484.17 in items. Some of which are from months ago. One of the returns was for $9 which was the difference in money when I exchanged the wrong part for the correct one which turned out to be $8.88 cheaper. This is turning out to be a gigantic hassle as some items were purchased online and some in person.

    I informed them that I always purchase items from that particular auto parts store chain. Sometimes cash, sometimes debit. In fact, my history will show a large sum of automotive parts being purchased since I obtained the card. They basically let me know that it meant nothing to them. After thoroughly reading the Walmart Debit card FAQ page, I found that Walmart even mentioned how strict Green Dot is, but this is ridiculous. I should have at least been given a warning and I would have known that they did not want consumers doing that. Even if I cancel my card, the money is still frozen in their pockets.

    I'm currently waiting on a response from the BBB to see if they can legally hold my money ransom. That's money we use to temporarily invest in parts until we get paid for that and the labor involved. I can't believe Walmart is associated with a company that behaves this way. As consumer and environmentally responsible/friendly they are, it's a bit off-putting.

    I used to always recommend these cards and, while only having a few glitches here and there, they really blindsided me with this. I can't and will never recommend or try their products again. There are a few more options out there with more reputable names such as American Express. Meanwhile, they're holding almost $700 of my money. Stay away people.

    Highly disgusted with Walmart and their prepaid debit card. I have had my debit card for over a year now and have kept by balance right around $3000, the max for the card. Two weeks ago I checked my card and there was almost $1600 stolen from the card by thieves in Florida. I canceled the card right away, withdrew my remaining funds and filed disputes over all illegal withdraws from Florida. Today I was denied by Walmart on my disputes even though I don't live in Florida and haven't been there in 25 years and I'm the only user on my card in Tennessee. Walmart is a sad little company which clearly can't see fraud when it bites them on their nose. Sam Walton would be disgusted with the treatment I receiving from his company. Sad that I'm being robbed twice of my $1600 hundred dollars. Walmart lost me and my family as customers forever. I would much rather pay more than deal with such a petty company. Sad to see it.

    Please read! Used the direct deposit feature for my income tax. They closed my card without any given any notification. Call the number on the back of the card (877-937-4098) several times over a period of a week. All the reps but one was rude, didn't want to listen, kept trying to put me back in queue. Finally was offered a callback from supervisor. After 4 hours, supervisor (ID/Name Jay- **) said to submit a copy of my DL and they would reopen my account. Just got off the phone. Again turns out it was a floor rep playing supervisor that called me back. Asked for another call back. Agent/floor rep (ID/name-Dan **) said no because account was closed. Emailed over 5 times in the last week with not one person trying to help. Seems like all emails are computer generated or copy paste.

    I have submitted a copy of my driver's license 5 times in last 2 weeks. There is an issue with their website and an error message that appears when I try to submit another copy (Your previous ID submission was received please login for updated account information). I have told everyone I talked to and Emailed this, there is no way to send a screenshot. The fake supervisor I spoke with said they would reset my account and turn it back on. I have practically begged for another number to call so I could get help and just a runaround. I cannot find a way to complain or even speak to a real supervisor. I doubt the names and IDs are even their real names. Any prepaid card would be better I promise you. One would think Walmart would have higher standards. Honestly, I have never been so disappointed by a company or customer service in general. My income tax check will be returned because my account is closed because they refuse to help me.

    Sad when an account that is used for traveling and holiday and the card has not been used for a while was drained of almost $2K. What's even worst is you refused to pay for the money stolen or even to investigate and just simply send a letter starting you deny the claim because it looks like valid authorized transactions when I'm home in PA, and this happened in another state. You didn't investigate it nor do you care how important this matter is to your "valued customer."

    If back to back transactions of large sums didn't send you all a red flag after a card not being used for so long and a customer is calling frantic waiting for an hour to get assistance, and you still think this is valid I don't know what to tell you. If you are going to deny a major claim at least a proper phone call and paperwork instead of a genetic letter with less than 300 words with no other explanation would be better.

    This is a serious matter and a lot of money and even after you suggest we call the police you still deny it. Terrible service, terrible experience, I will fight for my hard earned money and will tell everyone about your "help" when it comes to stolen money. I wanted to make this card service gets the review it deserves, and people are aware that you allow money to be stolen from this account and don't care about your "valued customer."

    I am very disappointed with Walmart MoneyCard. My card was locked on Feb 22 and as of today it's still locked. I had to pay bills late which that's not me.     The Walmart card is great, no problems so far. The one I got in the mail with my name was spelled incorrectly, but I needed it so I didn't complain. When the operator went over the spelling I heard she got it wrong, spelled it for her and she said "that's what I said," but when it came was spelled incorrectly.     I've actually had a Walmart Prepaid card for years. It works well with my payroll direct deposit. HOWEVER, the ATM fees for non-Walmart ATMs are obnoxious. AND, the ATM @ Walmart is ALWAYS broke. ALWAYS! So, I have to pay nearly $6 every time I need cash. Also, the daily ATM withdrawal limits are a bit strict. Finally, you really should have some sort of American based escalation dept. for your call center. While the agents overseas are friendly, all bets are off when you call regarding an issue that doesn't follow the script they have in place. I hope this helps!

    While I've had no problems using the Walmart MoneyCard itself, the app leaves a lot to be desired. It won't recognize my fingerprint on the Touch option, it won't recognize my password (which I KNOW is correct) and after resetting my password through website, it won't recognize the password I was sent via email. I am VERY disappointed. I have to call the number on back of card to get balance instead of being able to use app.

    My experience has been great. However I do not like it that when using a no fee ATM at Kwik Trip I am still charged $2.50 to use it. I do not understand why I am getting charged for this when it is a no fee ATM. The ATM's in Walmart stores in my area say there is a fee. Which is why I don't use them. I do not have any Walmart gas stations around me to use them. Otherwise I'm very happy with my card.

    The $400 limit on ATM withdraws is not enough. Bluebird allows $750 and others allow $1000. To withdraw money for rent, I must do it over 2 days, or go to stores to get cash back with debit purchases, which is inconvenient. Also, my paycheck is never deposited at the same time every week. Sometimes on Monday, sometimes Tuesday, sometimes Wednesday, and once even Thursday. This is a serious concern.

    For the most part the card is great, but on one hand I don't like the restrictions that it has. There are certain things that I like to use my card(s) for, that for some odd reason won't let me use my Walmart MoneyCard for. For instance I send and receive money thru the Facebook messenger app and the Walmart MoneyCard isn't compatible with it and it's the only card I have and use at the moment. And I think it's a little ridiculous that there is a fee to load money onto card. Other than that I am happy with everything else the card offers me.

    Well I got a tax return deposited to my card. I went 30 minutes away to the nearest decent sized town because my town is so small we don't have many of the common stores here. After making purchases and coming back home my card suddenly gets declined. EVERY OTHER BANK I ever did business with would call me and clear this up in a few minutes on the phone. Not Green Dot bank / Walmart MoneyCard.

    I get an email saying the account is blocked and I need to submit a picture of my ID to their URL. It says it will take two business days. This is Thursday afternoon SO I figure it will be done by end of day the following Monday since they will have had all day Friday and all day Monday to do it. Nothing happens until Tuesday midday at which time I get a message that I have to resend my pictures as they were Illegible. Of course this will take another two business days which I am sure will be longer than actual 48 hours business days as the first one took longer than two days.

    During all of this I CANNOT talk to any real customer rep at all. I am up against a legal deadline to pay a judge and also my wife is having seizures since I cannot buy her medications. This is the WORST process and policy of any bank I have ever used. Both of my last banks called me within an hour and had the same matter cleared up and my account open to use. I Cannot believe this is how Green Dot handles this kind of thing. The automated service line just says my account is locked and hangs up. Rudest thing ever. You have lost yet another customer and probably other prospective customers since I will be blogging about this and making it known to all my friends and family as well.

    On top of all this, I sent an email to the support email address (Which also takes over two days to get a response) and they told me I had already "Talked to a rep about the issue and it was resolved". This is just completely wrong as I have yet to "talk" to any person at all in the customer service dept or anyone for that matter. I am now providing screenshots of the account hold and the service number and the email to the judge and asking for a deadline extension to pay because I have no access to my money. I have NEVER been this upset at any bank or company for a bad procedure, bad policy and the worst customer service ever, Literally.

    I get my paycheck every pay week on the same day my payroll is processed. Today it is not there. I called and they can never give me any helpful information.     I purchased this Walmart MoneyCard to receive my payroll check earlier due to me being pregnant and high risk! I got paid today, as well as receiving my tax refund. I woke up this morning to an email from Walmart MoneyCard stating that my card had "unusual activity" and that I needed to upload a photo ID. I have been on hold for 6 HOURS! Waiting for a customer service specialist. I will be contacting a lawyer and I plan to sue! This is ILLEGAL. You cannot just take from your customers!!     I received this as a Christmas gift, supposedly with $25 on it. I haven't used it at all so far, so the full balance should be on it. I tried to use it at a Walmart, but it was denied. I tried again at $20 in case the giver provided the wrong balance - still denied. I came back to my computer to attempt to get the balance online, but nothing is available unless I register my card. To do so, the website requires my name, address, birthday, and social. REALLY, WALMART?! There's absolutely no way I would provide ANYONE that info unless I'm going to a doctor or applying for a credit card from a reputable company. There's no reason a glorified GIFT CARD should require this to check my balance. SCAM!!! Do not give as a gift!!!

    I have had this card for about a month. I got it because I do not like big banks and wanted a card I can receive my income tax refund on. I received my taxes last Thursday (2/23), spent less than 40 dollars and got 100 in cash back and my card was blocked after that. I was told to send in ID pictures. I have sent them in over 10 times only to be denied.

    When I first found out my card was blocked I sent angry emails to the support line and now this is being dragged out onto this week by whoever is responding to my emails. I was never told why my account is blocked. I just keep getting emails to resend my ID. I told whoever replied to me I will be taking my money out as soon as it is unblocked and they still have yet to do anything. Someone is being very childish and just denying my ID. I have children and bills and have said this multiple times to them. No customer service person, just a machine. Worst experience ever. I am still waiting to be able to access my money. No one has contacted me. Does anyone know if I can get the police involved? Nothing is happening.

    Walmart MoneyCard blocked my account and won't let me speak to anyone. I have all my finances of $7250 in my account and was blocked for getting cash back multiple times to avoid ATM fees. They don't send an email or text asking if it was me doing the purchase. They just straight up blocked me and told me I have to submit my driver's license which I did same day while trying to call them on their only customer service number. Their Customer Service doesn't allow you to speak to anyone if your card is blocked. I got a hold of someone and they did nothing and even hung up on me and wasted multiple hours of my day trying to speak to someone to verify my identity because I had bills due.

    My account is still blocked and they have said a Corporate callback would call me each day from 8 AM through 9 PM and I still have not received a phone call. I've emailed multiple times and all they say is "Sorry to hear this," and they'll schedule another phone call with no updates why the account hasn't been unblocked. I'm considering getting a lawyer and going to make a case for the time and fees and loss I've accrued banking with them and then withholding my money illegally and not letting me speak to someone human in person or on the phone. Never put your money there please! Walmart or Green Dot if you're reading call me and email me now.

    I had my taxes deposited onto a Walmart moneycard and that same day my card was blocked. I went online and submit my ID and waited. It was a Thursday and it says 2 business days but I have bills due and so I wrote an email and their response was that I hadn't submitted anything. So I did it again and still nothing. So I did it again and take a screenshot showing that it was submitted and received successfully. I'm still waiting for my money to come on blocked. I've had to take out a loan to keep my power on and have to pay interest on that while Walmart or Green is sitting there collecting interest on the money that is just sitting in an account that I can't access for no reason. It's a huge scam and I for one will never use Walmart money card again or any Green Dot card.

    I absolutely love my Walmart MoneyCard, I have personalized it with a picture and have direct deposit going to it. I get my paycheck sometimes 2 days earlier. I have stashed and unstashed money as a way to save and I have also won $25 for keeping a balance stashed. The only draw back is when I deposit a check in my account I have to pay a fee of $3 to do so. So I am hesitant to deposit checks into my account. Can something be done to alleviate that fee?     My biggest pet peeve with the card is the loading fee. Each time I want to load money on MY card I have to pay 3 dollars. It's absurd! It should be free! I give Walmart so much of my business and money there is no way I should have to pay to use my own debit card. Also, why does it charge me an ATM fee even when I use the Walmart ATM. Most of the time the help desk and money center are so busy it's crazy to expect me to wait in a line just to withdraw my own money.     I like the Walmart MoneyCard... but I think the only downfall with the card so far is that you have to pay to get your own money off your card! I would love if you all get a bank so that everybody can withdraw their money free of charge!!! I would've rated a 5 star but I don't like having to pay atm fees!!!

    On 2/4 I rented a U-Haul truck with my Walmart Card. The final balance was paid with another card, and UHaul attempted to release the hold on my Walmart Card and I was told it would be released within 5 business days. It is now 2/27, I have spent about 6 hours collectively going back and forth with UHaul and MoneyCard for documentation to release the hold. Multiple attempts to get a supervisor, but never receive a call back. I've been disconnected twice while on your long holds. Still no release, and I'm being told I have to go through this same process all over again for the third time, and I'm simply going back and forth between them and Uhaul.

    Why can they not contact them directly? Having me do the correspondence allows the issue to continue without resolution. Several cards with multiple thousand in transactions each month. To have this money holding for nearly a month is intolerable. I am closing all accounts at this point. This is asinine.

    I have been a loyal Walmart money card holder for a few years and I have never had any problems until this month February 2017. My account was compromised and unauthorized charges were made and others were attempted. Green Dot closed all of my accounts without notice. Refused to allow my direct deposits. Now I have $1,138.00 in direct deposits floating around that cannot be loaded on my card. When I call the number on the back of the card, there is no option to speak to a representative.

    Previously before all of this happened, it was easy to get a representative on the line. I sincerely hope, this is not the way, all of your customers are treated. I could understand, if I have done something wrong. I could also understand if they would have given me a notice that my account would be closed and given time so stop my allotments. Once again, there was no notice, not even a one hour window. No one called to explain why or anything. I have been put in a bad predicament for no reason of my own and I am not even afforded the opportunity to talk to anyone about this situation.

    RaceTrac freezes the card, too often. The card is unusable, for several days. The App isn't user-friendly. Can't track multiple Walmart cards. It was a while back, but I got locked out, couldn't get back in and just decided to heck with it. Dropped the app and have to use the phone. Plus... There is no customer support number where you can talk to a human if you have a problem or question.

    I work 40 hours a week. I work hard to give my family a comfortable home. I have been receiving payroll deposits to my Walmart MoneyCard for a few months now. I never had an issue receiving or accessing my funds. Until now!!! I received a Direct Deposit from the IRS on went on to work. Later that afternoon I purchased lunch from a restaurant and ate at the office. About an hour or two later, I received an email from Walmart MoneyCard stating that it has blocked my card due to unusual activity. I have sent Walmart MoneyCard my Driver's License, and have spoken with a specialist about this matter to have my card unblocked to no avail. They refuse to even tell me what type of unusual activity they speak of.

    I spoke with a customer service agent and was told that they can't give me any information. This upsets me because my card had not been reported lost or stolen. I do not see any unusual activity in my account. No one other than ME has access to my debit card. It is my money, and I do believe that I have the right to know what is going on with money that belongs to ME. This entire situation leaves me feeling violated, mistreated, and robbed.

    I am beyond done with this card! I recently lost job and down to last 120. I needed to transfer 100 to my Walmart card using the online service. I added my Paypal debit card as funding source which it accepted. Then, I click on the send button to be greeted with the "transaction denied". No biggie right? Except it has partially denied and thus pending... which means I'M NOW DOWN TO 20 DOLLARS!!!
