    I was scammed by an online purchase of some Ugg boots that I was purchasing for my daughter for Christmas. The company took a little over $90 out of my account on November 24, 2017... it is now January 11, 2018 and I NEVER received the boots. I found out that the company was not legit by trying to go back onto the website that I initially purchased the boots from but a message came up stating that the site was shut down due to fraudulent activity. I filed a dispute with Walmart Moneycard and they denied my dispute.

    How on God's green earth do you guys feel it is ok for these scammers to take and keep my money?!! If this was a REAL bank... my claim would not have been denied. Not only did this fraudulent company take my money... they took more than what the cost stated on their site AND my daughter did not get the boots she wanted so much for Christmas. I think it is CRAZY that Walmart denied my claim. That company should not be able to keep my money as I received nothing and their intent was never to send me anything. I even provided documentation validating that the company is fraudulent. VERY disappointed in your practices!!!

    I been having problems with my Walmart MoneyCard. Just last month I had to send in identification. Once I got my card unblock, Today I had the same issue, once I got it unblocked for the second time my direct deposit wasn't posted. I have always received my direct deposit on Thursdays. Don't know why the delay happened. I'm getting upset.

    I lost my Walmart money card and I called and canceled and requested for a new one this was on 12/27/2017 and I have my paycheck direct deposited to this card that I never received. When I enter my information like birthdate & social number it's say it's the wrong number and when they ask what's the last four digits of card I'm calling about it's says it wrong... and no one can tell me where's my money. Today is 1/11/2018 and still no card no money.

    I had previously disputed a charge on my Walmart card. Green Dot Bank's customer service has decided to un-authorize my card and issue a new one. This would not have been an issue if they had contacted me before they completed this transaction. However, since you can't talk to a HUMAN and only a computer what do you expect. There have been to many times this so called Bank has made decisions without proper authorizations from the cardholders.

    So here I sit, money from my payroll check on my card, no card to use to access my account due to their decisions, power, cable, car insurance, gas, groceries and husband's medications, that he has to have by the way I can't take care of, Customer service sent me an email stating, "You can pay what you owe using the account number and routing number." Don't know what state they are from but from North Carolina without a check or card you ain't paying anything. I have been a customer of Walmart Money Card/Green Dot Bank for years! Not anymore, as soon as I get my card I am through with this company and I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office. There have been too many times this bank has screwed with people and their money.

    Great card, switched to this after some banking issues. Recently I've noticed that I've been getting money in my account on Thursday instead of Wednesday with the 2 day early pay feature your card offers. My job pays their employees on Friday. This has been going on for at least 7 pay periods now. Just seemed strange to only get paid a day early. Otherwise this is a nice easy to use card!

    My wallet was stolen... When I called to cancel my card they failed to do so. So when my social security was deposited it went to the card that was stolen. I then had you send me a new card well you blocked the new card I was given. And want me to submit a Copy of my ID or drivers licence that I also don't have because it was also stolen. So while you're withholding my social security and won't let me talk to anyone. I will be filing a lawsuit against you for stealing money and not having an option to speak with a real person... So unblock my damn card or I'll be seeing you in court! Give me my money back!!!

    I want to start by saying this is the first time that I have taken the time to give a bad review. I don't like giving bad reviews because things happen but this is way too much. Over a month ago I called and cancelled my Wal-Mart MoneyCard because I misplaced it. They cancelled it quickly and sent me a new one. I thought everything was great until I tried activate the card, I was told that it was a block on my card and I had to upload my ID to Wal-Mart Money document upload. I uploaded my driver's license FIVE TIMES!!!

    Each time I waited two days or more and called, my card was still blocked. Once I spoke to customer service rep they kept telling me the same thing that my documents were not legible. I have been going through this for a month!!! They will not take the block off nor will they send my money that's still on the card. I asked them to just send my money in the form of a check to the address they have on file. They will not. They keep telling me my documents are not legible which is BULL!!! Out of FIVE submissions EVERYONE is not legible? I don't think so, I followed their directions and nothing.

    Wal-Mart is a ripoff!!! PLEASE DO NOT GET THIS WAL-MART MONEY CARD... Just take your time and find the right institution to use when it comes to your money. This company is no different from their founding father. He put other places out business many years ago by sneaking into their stores and lowering his prices lower just to take their customers. Same stuff different year... They bait you in and once you're in and something happens Wal-mart does not care that you are without your money. Their corporation is making money. I am really fed up. Wal-mart does not and they are not trying to resolve this.

    I've been using Walmart MoneyCard for about 2 1/2 years with direct deposit and I lost my card so I called and canceled it and I never received a placement card. I have 934$ somewhere. No one can help me get my money or a replacement card. It's like all my information has disappeared. They told me they can't help me. Are you kidding? I have 900$ some dollars where? I feel like I got robbed. What can you do to help me. Any information I enter it say it's wrong. I'm very upset about my money.

    Have had the Walmart MoneyCard for roughly 3 yrs with minimal issues, couldn't access my cash for a couple days in July 2017 but it worked out. Now it's a problem.     Somehow a scammer got a hold of my card number on New Year's Eve, and after being denied for 6 transactions at various places they finally were successful in emptying my ENTIRE account in a place called Vacaville, California. I live on the opposite side of the county and have never been to California, nor have I ever bought ANYTHING from a source in another state, AND I've been a customer with them for 10 years now. I got the worst customer service I've ever received in my life when they could not answer a single question, they could only repeat their verbiage all customer service reps are given when they start a job such as this.

    I had to wait 3 days for the charge to go from pending to posted, just for them to tell me it would be another 7 days for an inquiry. Here is the thing, a local bank, or even a larger scale bank, such as Capital One, can go in that very minute and stop a transaction, so should they be able to. I'm very doubtful at this point I will get my hard earned money back from them, and I can assure you this experience burned me enough for a lifetime, I will NEVER use this product again, I can't wait to get this issue settled and close the account.

    I use to brag to everyone what a good thing I had with this Walmart MoneyCard, and now I regret all the good publicity I gave them. It's not hard, especially when they have 10 years worth of transactions they can view to see my spending history. I've yet to see a penny return to me, only for them to charge me a lost/stolen fee of $3.00 and put the card in negative as well, so IF, IF I ever get my money back, it will automatically be less $3. Their cards do not come with chips, which makes the cards themselves more secure.

    I just cannot believe I got electronically robbed and the company I stood by won't stand by me like they should. These types of financial idiots should be illegal, and shut down immediately so no one else has to deal with what I, and appears, by other reviews, have had to deal with. There is not a single person, I've spoken within the week of dealing with this that can explain anything in depth to me, as to why on earth I have to wait so long for a refund of my money, that was stolen from me! I don't hate much of anything, but I HATE this company for sure now.

    Please let me be one of your prime reason why you should still always physically carry a debit card from an actual bank thats actually reliable. When you're stuck in a restaurant traveling with your friends and you have absolutely no other options to pay other than the Walmart prepaid debit card and theres not enough money on it for you to pay... the first thing that immediately comes to mind is “I should reload this” only to have your debit card information on file denied repeatedly for no reason knowing full well you have more than enough money to process your request. As expected my bank has the nicest people able to assist with any solutions to the problems at hand and they told me nothing was wrong on their end and to contact Walmart which had been the problem the entire time.

    So I called Walmart's customer service and I was eagerly assisted with beautiful elevator music that made my ears bleed profusely followed by complete silence afterwards. I’m very satisfied with the fact that I now know my prepaid card will not never be a reliable option when it comes to emergencies and that I will continue to wait here in a diner in the middle of the country until I figure out a way to actually pay for the delicious meal my friends and I ate. Thank you Walmart. I really appreciate how reliable you are when it comes to ** customers over while still charging them a monthly fee of $5.00 a month on the most useless piece of ** albeit nicely designed prepaid debit card you have to offer! I’ll go have a glass of bleach now and call it a day. :)

    I paid for a deposit on a cruise with Carnival Cruise Lines a total of 2 payments $250.00 on 3/08/2017 and $250.00 on 03/13/2017. I canceled the cruise yesterday and received a refund on my Walmart money card for $500.00 on 01/06/2018 and they froze my account because they think the transaction is questionable. Now I have had to send them the original receipt from my cruise purchase and wait 48 hours before I could use any of my funds!

    On yesterday, I had the most horrible experience with this card!!! I have used this card for over 5 months now, for direct deposit, withdraws, paying bills, store purchases. Then I decided to add the Wal-Mart app., to my phone so that I could check balances. I tried to make a purchase and my card was declined! Then I was sent an email stating that my card is blocked for suspicious activity, I could not call anybody, there was no one to talk to??? I went to a nearby Wal-Mart store and none of the managers could help me???

    They ran my card and stated that the money is on the card, then another manager tried to transfer my money to another Wal-Mart card, she could not because they closed the account so that I could not get my money!!! Wal-Mart blocked my card and they have my $750.00, and I don't have any answers as of yet. It's the weekend, the phone number on the back of the card does not allow you to talk to anybody. No one will talk to me, but yet they send emails with no direct phone number. I advise everyone to avoid online banking with Green Dot. This is not the way to do business! You lost a good customer.

    I've had this card for many years now. I am currently on a mission to find another. The customer service is horrible! The English is very poor indicating that services must be outsourced. To reach a live person it takes forever through the automated line with many choices through a phone tree. You'll hear your balance repeated several times as if you didn't hear the first 2 times. I had a charge that was showing as pending and the rep kept insisting that it wasn't. I explained that it was showing up as such and he kept arguing with me. After about 10 min of going back and forth somehow it magically appeared as pending. It's been 6 business days and the charge hasn't fallen off.

    This is the worst card for hotel check ins, rental cars, etc. Basically for any company authorizing a hold. It takes a long time for them to credit your account back. I also have a American Express Serve and not only do I get paid sooner with that card, pending charges aren't held as long. Disputes are also a long lost cause. Again comparing the AMX was the victim of fraud and had my money reimbursed in 3 days. There is not a problem understanding their reps. Walmart MoneyCard charges you an ATM fee for using their machines. That is ridiculous as well as charging you to reload your card. Amx serve us no charge to load your card and never a fee for atm use at approved locations. My only problem with that card is the limit. I would definitely say search for a better card than the moneycard and save yourself a headache. They are out there.

    DO NOT get a card with them. I lost my card and reported it, they then blocked the account for fraud which there was none but me updating the address for a new card. I call them because I get online and it says I have to submit an ID to prove I'm me. I did that and they let me activate my new card. I then call again because I should have gotten paid and they say my ID was good. My card is good, then they get back on the line and say I can't receive money. My account is still blocked and once I use what's left on the card they are closing it because they couldn't verify my ID. I will not tell anyone to come to get a card and I will make sure everyone knows how ** they are. Now I have to figure out where my money is and wait for a paper check.

    Well, up until this point I've had a pretty good relationship with the Walmart MoneyCard. No real hiccups, I get my work checks direct deposited. It's been fine. NOW… here's where things get really messed up and disappointing. I was trying to do some Christmas shopping for all of my family members online at this website. Firstly, you have a create a profile to shop which it’s like that at most places so with that, you get your own dashboard that shows orders you've made, tracking, etc. I've done online shopping for years without a problem. Okay… so I add the items to my cart... I go to check out… And just like any other online order that people make, where you enter your card info is generally like the 2nd to last screen before the transaction is complete.

    So... yea, I'm as far into the transaction that I'm on the screen to enter my "payment information”. Complete that... get a screen saying I'll be sent something and I'm hoping that it shows up under "my orders" on my profile on the site. I finish… go check my account and notice that the $$ is gone which I expect 'cause I'm purchasing "goods" ...oh yea, $357.37 worth of goods which is a hefty amount around Christmas time. It’s not "pending"… cool... I THEN go check my email for the confirmation and there's nothing there… in my regular folder or my spam folder. So I'm like "ill give it some time." 1 hour later... nothing... 2... nothing… and the order still isn’t showing up under my orders on the website.

    Now I start to worry... this is Dec 10th... I contact the merchant to ask them what’s going on with my transaction and according to them and from what I've gathered... my order NEVER went through but the $$$ was still taken from my account for said items that I DID however go through and check out. Weird right? They have no record of my order… can’t see it... ask for a screenshot which I provide and THEN they go on to deny the charge even though it has their website name beside the transaction. I'm like "wow really..." and they're more or less like there's nothing we can do because we can’t put up a order and I'm like "I know, that's why I'm talking to you" but they aren’t trying to refund my $$$.

    Next, I call walmart moneycard right after talking to them and explain the situation and they tell me to file a dispute and that it'll take up to 10 business days and that as long as everything goes through I should have my money by Dec 23. I didn’t like it 'cause it was so close to Christmas and that was the money I was using on gifts that was hung up in limbo because of this. A day or two later, I'm checking my email and NOW they saying I need to fill out some dispute form that's worded and formed really odd that. I then do that and get it back to walmart. I call back a few days later after checking my email again to find out that my dispute had been denied for some reason.

    And the reason that I'm being given is because whatever happened with the online merchant's website that day not registering my order or giving me an order/transaction # or anything there's nothing that could be done and that it was put to me almost like it was my fault for authorizing the charge. Like, no one ever online shops. It’s not my fault something happened on their end. I got deep into the checkout process enough to put in my card information so that should say something… how else could they have gotten it to take money from my account and they just won’t refund it NOR can I get help from one of the walmart $$ card representatives.

    This is a lot of money that I can’t just give to this company… and it’s JAN 3rd 2018… I made that order on DEC 10th and I have YET to receive any of the items I checked out that day. THIS IS NOT RIGHT AND I DON’T LIKE IT! I'd like my money back and to be treated like a valued card member. Is that too much to ask for?? I wouldn’t even care if they sent me the stuff. There wouldn’t be an issue but… nah, I can’t let this go unaccounted for.

    I have been using Walmart MoneyCard for almost a year. I make regular cash deposits and direct deposits from my job. I went into Walmart the other day to load cash and it said my card was blocked and gave me a number to call. When I called the number it asks for all my information which I gave. It kept saying my card was invalid and when I used my social it told me I had to upload documents to prove my identity and it gave me a website to do it. I went to the website and followed the directions to upload the documents and it asked for my card number. I put in my card number and it says it's invalid. How am I supposed to get my card unblocked? I still have money on my card and my direct deposit is set up with this card. This is crazy. I have no way to contact ANYONE or have access to my money. I got NO notice that there was any problem with my account. It just happened out of the clear blue. Can I please get some help with this?

    I bought a Walmart reloadable card to pay my bills and I cashed my check about two day ago. I kept some money on the card to pay some bills. Next thing I know my card has been blocked. I tried calling the 800 number in the back of the card and I only get an operator. Never do I get an actual representative. This is super frustrating. I can't be losing money just like that. Can someone give me a better number to call if you guys have had this problem before. Thank you.

    I have had my card for a while now and I have never really had any problems until recently. Even though I should have funds on my card it’s saying I am in the negative by a lot. Also I was suppose to receive a refund around the 22nd and still nothing. Called customer support about 5 different times on the 29th. Got different responses about when the money should be placed back on the card and also how much funds I have on my card. My last transaction was posted on the 27th and it says my available balance after is suppose to be 22.54 yet on my balance it says negative 65 something. How is it that it says right below my last transaction I have 22.54 left but say I'm in the negative 65 something and yet still no refund.

    I called again today which is the 30th. Got another person telling me it won't post until Monday yet just yesterday I was told it should have already posted back to my account. Now the representative said he started a case and gave me a case number saying if the money post back to my account the case number won't be needed but if it doesn't call back with the case number. I am getting so fed up with them messing with my money when I have things I need it for. I am so close to canceling my card. If anyone has any information on how to fix this problem, please let me know.

    I recently activated a Walmart Money Card and blocked it temporarily just to have them say I needed proof which I provided more than a few times. I uploaded my images on the site that was provided numerous times and all they keep repeating is the images are not readable. I can't reach Customer service to speak with anyone about what's going on and I don't have a way to cancel the card because of these issues. There is no way to get my money even check my balance because of the block that is placed on. I need to speak with someone from a corporate office to resolve or get someone who can look into settlements.

    I filed a dispute for a hotel, airfare, and ATM charge back on November 14th 2017. I was initially told the dispute would take up to ten business days. After 10 business days the dispute needed to be extended up to 45 calendar days which would have been December 29th. Contacted customer service and was told end of business day today. It was even escalated that I would receive a email or letter in the mail. Spoke to another rep and told me, "Chill out man. Give us time." I'll get my money soon. Not only was she rude but randomly put me on hold and transferred me to another department. Was told by another supervisor, "We guarantee we will have it resolved in 24 hours." This is the second escalation and I've lost all confidence. Because this dispute is over 1000 I think they are delaying in giving me back my money. If something else goes wrong I will be taking legal matters. Will keep y'all posted.

Your company repeatedly informed me that my issues would be settled on December 29, 2017. I'm sure that you have several recordings of this, just as I do. On December 29, 2017 the timeline incredibly was now 45 days. I was previously NEVER told 45 days.

    Yesterday morning I received my direct deposit right on time as usual. I went to pay my rent which I do every payday and the person that ran my card thought the internet was down so she ran my card twice trying to get the payment to go through. Long story short... I was double charged and called this so called customer service number. Although the person that ran the card has backed it out of the credit card machine, because I called, it is now a dispute and I am being told I can't get my money until January 10th... 2 ** WEEKS AWAY!!! I have called numerous times, asked for a supervisor, threatened to have my employer (who is an attorney) get involved, you name it, I've done it with these people. They could care less what happened to me.

    They drained my account to 44 cents and the ONLY answer they can give me is that I can't get reimbursed until the dispute is over and that will be on January 10th. I have no food, no toothpaste, no clean clothes, no toilet paper and no one gives a rat's ** that I am deeply affected by this. SHAME on WALMART for putting their name on something so HORRENDOUS!!! It makes me sick and also I am truly suffering here... must less my poor friends and family who are trying to help me out but can't due to this ** they are putting me through. Bottom line is I should have never called them... Once it goes into that DISPUTE status you are screwed until they decide to release the funds. Question? Can I report this to FDIC? They have to be affiliated right? Anyone who may have experience with this, please answer on here. I am DESPERATE right now and I haven't eaten since yesterday morning at this time.     On my 3rd claim with Walmart MoneyCard for fraudulently activity on my card someone stole my card and took all my money off, but Walmart MoneyCard keep denying my claims. By submitting a police report as suggested by one their supervisors, hoping this will help them believe I️ didn’t spend my own money. Instead they add 4 new transactions to my dispute without my authorization and blame it on me. I️ only submit 8 transactions for my dispute and submitted my police report reflecting the same thing.

    The last supervisor said I️ had to submit another claim for the third time and ask did I️ have the stolen credit card cause he needed the numbers. I️ couldn’t believe he would imply that I️ still had the card I️ reported stolen. He basically call me a liar to my face. Want to exposed them for what they really are. Been with them for more than 5 years and never experienced anybody stealing money from me. The moment it happens, this is how my cardholder treat me. If anybody have the corporate number please send it to me. Requested the number from the supervisor and he said he didn’t have it, “it’s on the website”. It’s not on the website.

    Had charges from someone else using card. Contacted Walmart Money Card and cancelled card. Got a new card and charged $3.00 then told by 12/28/2017 I get a credit for charges not mine. Keep in mind this is 26 days later now. Credit still not there. Called in and was told to try again tomorrow. But their website clearly states:

    "We will determine whether an error occurred within 10 business days after we hear from you and will correct any error promptly. If we need more time, we may take up to 45 days to investigate. If we need more time, we credit your card within 10 business days for the amount you think is in error, so that you will have the money during the time it takes us to complete our investigation." So the whole 10 days thing is complete BS. I now opened a account with Wells Fargo so I NEVER have to deal with someone using my card and stealing money and waiting forever to get my funds back! Stay away from Walmart money card!!!

    Sunday 12/17/17, I called to get a replacement card as mine was breaking in half. I was informed that my card would be cancelled. I was prepared for that. I had purchased another card to transfer my money to. Sunday night, I received an e-mail stating that because of suspicious activity, my card had been blocked. When calling to get more information, all I was able to do was access a recording. I did what the recording and the email requested and attempted to upload my information. The card number did not work. My account was completely blocked. When I finally got through to a CSR to remedy this situation, I was redirected to the same automated message, not once, but twice.I went back to the website and attempted to contact someone through email. I was given the same information all over again.

    Still no explanation as to why my account had been blocked, or what suspicious activity had taken place. Only that I would have to wait seven business days for a new card, THEN upload my information. I don't know about most people, but nine days (at least) is much too long to be waiting to access an account that my paycheck is deposited into. After three more emails, I was finally told that I would be called by someone in the next four hours. It has now been four and a half. Still no resolution to this problem, still no contact by someone who can answer my questions. My paycheck deposit was rejected and I've now been waiting for a week to get paid. If I could give this business a zero rating, I would.

    Please share!!! Attention. Stop using or never use Walmart Moneycard. I have used them for over 5 years but they do not protect your money. They will lie to you every step of the way so that they don't have to give you your money back. They have opened and closed my case three times because they know they are not handling things correctly. In August I lost over $300 with them in fraud charges. And they are not helping me at all. I have read this has happened to several other people. So please beware. If anyone knows someone in corporate Walmart pls let me know because they need to know whats going on. I will be discontinuing my use of this card and will tell anyone who will listen to never trust this card service with your hard earned money.

    I am disabled and live on a very tight fixed income. I have been a WMC customer for 5 years and never had a problem and never had to call their customer service for assistance. I don't have credit cards of any kind and rely solely on WMC for my online medical supplies and prosthetic shoes. This nightmare began on 12/9/17, the first time I called customer support to see about a credit adjustment from Hitchcock shoes. On 12/10/17, I called again informing WMC customer support the credit adjustment had been received but it had not shown up in the available balance column, they assured me that once another purchase was made the balance would correct itself.

    Okay fine and dandy my balance was $408.01. Now a week goes by and the balance has not corrected itself, so I call on 12/15/17 and once again they reassured me it would after a purchase was made so I figured when the next service fee was deducted and that would be 01/05/2018 that the balance would correct itself. So guess what happens now? Remember this is my first time to call customer support on the last three occasions, I get hit with (8) Eight fraudulent charges centering around New Jersey, I live in Middle Tennessee.

    These charges occurred 12/16 and 12/17, on 12/18 I call customer support, my card is cancelled and a new one ordered which cost me $3.00 making the balance now $405.01, but I was hit with $204.75, making my balance now $200.26. I also wrote a letter of transactions dispute and mailed off 12/19/17 to Pasadena, CA, address to list those charges, and was given a case number **.

    Well being on a fixed income my last $200.00 was on the card that is now blocked. I had a notification sent to my account to upload my license, I did that and it was denied cause it was not clear enough. I can't help it that I don't have a good camera. It's 10+ years old like my laptop, I don't have a scanner or copier and I need groceries pretty soon. When you're on a fixed income and rely on services for transportation you'd understand a little better. It seems they don't care, if they did they would have a number you could at least call and speak to a supervisor or something. My phone is just a TracFone and I've used most of my minutes up. I need help...

    Recently I relocated to Atlanta, GA for a short period of time and when arriving my wallet was stolen, instead of ordering a new card that I absolutely had no time to wait on each time I needed it I would use Walmart's send and receive option and send the money over to my PayPal account.     I have spoken to at least 3 reps about a hold on my account that was placed for items ordered online. The items were not available so I asked for the hold to be released. One rep told me to wait until they charge me, the other 2 reps told me to wait until Dec 26 and it will be applied to my account. It's the 26 and it's still pending.     I made a purchase on Walmart.com for my daughter a hoverboard for Christmas on 12/15. That same day I received an email from Walmart saying that they were sorry, however the item was out of stock. They also stated my funds ($262.00) will be returned to my card on 12/22. Now, it's sad to say that it takes a couple of seconds for them to take my money but five days to return it. Today is 12/23 and my funds have not been refunded back to my card and still in a pending status.

    I called customer service. The representative told me the issue is on their end and the earliest they can resolve the problem will be in one business day. This means on Christmas day they will look into the technical problem on my account. All in all this also means my daughter will not wake up to Christmas gifts under our tree. $260 was all I had to buy my daughter gifts with this year. I am very heartbroken and upset with this card, customer service and Walmart for not providing better support and customer service to their committed customers.

    Updated on 12/25/2017: I called again today on Christmas to inquire about my refund and was given the runaround by a customer service representative. First, the person told me that he could not do anything regarding my refund which was very frustrating. He then proceeded to tell me that my funds will be returned on 12/27 (oh no, another date change). When I asked to speak with a supervisor he said one was not available. I then said I would wait until a supervisor became available. After putting me on hold for a couple of seconds the call was hanged up. What can I do? No one is concerned or available to help solve this issue for me. On top of everything I just received a message that my card will be charged a $5 monthly charge tomorrow which will put me in the negative.

    I lost my card and requested a new one and I finally got it. My card had been blocked and when I got my new one my direct deposit didn’t go on it. When I call Walmart MoneyCard they tell me the direct deposit got sent back to the center, and to call the center so I did and Green Dot Bank tells me to call the number on the back of the card.     I've had the Walmart MoneyCard for 1-1/2 years and was satisfied. I have my Social Security Pension check direct deposit going to the Moneycard. Last week, a fraudulent emptying of my debit balance in a transaction 2000 miles away caused me to get replacement card. I was told that my card would be canceled and replaced with a new card but that my direct deposit information would stay the same. New card arrived today. Walmart requires confidential driver license or passport photos to re-activate my bank funds! The Vault balance has gone from about $850 to ZERO!!! The online request for identification will not accept any upload of my documents! I tried over and over to get the online system to accept my driver license photos!

    I can't use my card number to verify with because it's been canceled. I can't talk to ANYONE? My rent is due next week. I borrowed enough money to buy food. Walmart has locked up all my fixed income retirement pension, threatening me with homelessness, just because there is no human to help me. I have documented everything. My only recourse left is to get Social Security to do an emergency stop on my direct deposit tomorrow; get a regular savings account at a local credit union; then to pursue media and government help! Walmart knows I cannot afford a lawyer. My life is about to change for the worst this holiday. I am desperate and out of options!

    I found 10 fraudulent transactions on my card from another country. Customer service is not able to help me. I was told to open a dispute and it would take 10 business days. This was money for Christmas and they are treating it as if I am at fault. Please help.

    I lost my card and when I contacted a rep he told me to cancel it and for $15 I could get the new card expedited in 3 days. I reported the card lost and when I went to call back it would not let me speak to a rep because the account is cancelled. Christmas is 5 days away and I have no access to my money at all.     I had Walmart Money card for a couple years now, things were fine. Until last Thursday, 12/14/17, where I received my Direct Deposit from work, attempted to use my card for a purchase, and was declined. I called my card that day, the Automated "support" System told me my card was blocked and that I must upload my picture I.D. to their website, which I did. To no avail, the following day I was notified that my account was no longer active and I'm not to open any more accounts through their company. I was dumbfounded, mostly because I have still yet to find out Why my card was blocked in the first place.

    I checked my statement online and nothing was out of the ordinary, and it shows I have money in the account. I emailed the address that was on their website, and they sent me a number to call... the same number on the back of the Debit card. Ridiculous! After calling the number and inputting my card number, the machine tells me my account is No More and hangs up! It would be nice to talk to a Real Person so as to help me retrieve MY money.

    Was recently charged 26 times for 15$ per hit from Ami USA Musicbox and then when they couldn't get the 15$ charge to go through they got me for 5$ more. To get your money back is jumping through hoops. Customer service is foreign. I used note I say used, to get my direct deposit put on my card every 2 weeks. There is no customer protection if fraud is happening on your card. They just let the charges go through like it's no issue. 26 times in a row from 8 states away and that doesn't put any red flags up. The charges occurred 12/15/2017 and I won't know anything from what I was told today 12/29/2017.

    Plus they make you fill out a form to try and get your money back. Then on top of it to add insult to injury they charge you 3$ as a lost card fee. I didn't lose anything as my card is in my wallet. Right before Christmas and also my daughter's birthday. So my holiday is screwed to say the least. Soooo very disappointed in Walmart MoneyCard. DO NOT USE THIS AS MEANS OF GETTING DIRECT DEPOSIT.

    For years I’ve had a Green Dot card and never experienced anything of this sort. For years I’ve trusted this company with my direct deposits and other money operations and not once have I ever been marked as fraud of the kind for suspicious activity! A hold was placed on my 3 days after my hard earn paycheck was deposited onto my card. After numerous emails and attempts to reach someone, I finally got a call back. Not once did the representative give me a explanation of what happened to my card. Not once did the representative care or try to resolve the matter before saying “you’re not getting your money back”. And not once did a the “customer care” representative care to see things from my POV!

    So after doing my own research and the bits and pieces I did get from the rep was this! Even though history and transaction history show a normal working class citizen, the fact that I was bamboozled by a lowlife to let them send me money through Walmart’s features only to have the same lowlife callback to say it was fraud just so Walmart could refund their money again that was supposedly “stolen” and cut my card in the process! Maybe if Walmart took the time to actually listen to people, all this could of been looked at and researched. Not to mention, this same person has been getting charges overturned through Walmart’s paperwork process for years and still at it! Next move, lawyer consent!

    I am very upset with this company, I have been on the phones with them for the past few weeks. Earlier today I received an email from Walmart Dispute for me to send them proof of my identity to continue this dispute because of a fraudulent transaction that happened over 2 WEEKS AGO. When I got to the link they ask me to type in my 16-digit card number, can't do anything because they can't find the information because clearly they decided to block my card before I can even continue on with my dispute. I have refunds coming back to that card this week and I also have my direct deposit from my job going to that card as well. The only thing that's keeping me from going another route is the earlier payments I receive and I really do enjoy that feature on this card. Something needs to be done about this and it needs to happen today or I will report this to the FDIC.

    My card was sent to the wrong address. I called in and spoke to a representative for a while and explained the situation. I asked her to resend the card to my new address **. in which she replied "no problem". I asked her to block the PREVIOUS card so it would not be used and please do not block the one going to my new address. I also asked to add my mother to the card because I will be out of state travelling. She said "no worries." The card will be received on or before the 19th. Well, I received the card and lo and behold IT IS BLOCKED. I cannot get a human on the phone for any assistance and the automated service disconnects after stating this. It has caused so much hardship because my mother's name is not on the card as I asked. Also, I am out of state and need my bills to be paid.     I have had my card for almost 3 years and had never had a problem. A few days ago I attempted to order a replacement card because the strip is worn down. When I ordered the new card it told me my request had been processed but my current card would be unable to make cash withdraws but I could use it for purchases. I immediately called customer service and told them I could not have my card blocked because I had bills to pay and needed to withdraw cash. Customer service told me that my card would be fine and they was showing no blocks.

    The next day I was able to withdraw money and use my card normally however, later that evening when I got online to check my balance it told me it was locked and I needed to send my identification to verify my identity. I have attempted this several times. I have been unable to reach a person online or on the phone. It does not give you an option to talk to a person through their customer service. I did get one response from them via email advising me to go online and choose live chat or to call the number on the card. There is not a live chat option that I can find on their page and when you call the number it gives you a round and round blurb about your card being locked and then tells you that the customer service has no further information and will not let you talk to a person!

    I am stuck with no money, it is Christmas time, I am a single mother, I have bills past due. I'm a paycheck to paycheck person like many us and I am very frustrated with this right now. I have not had problems before but this is a big big problem and I am not going to stay with this company once this is resolved. This is absolutely unacceptable. If you are going to suddenly block someone's money you really need a system in place to help people. This minimum 2 day verification is absurd and not being able to contact the company is ridiculous.

    On December 1 2017 I made a hotel reservation through hotels.com. Well I had to cancel so they sent me a email say the funds were process back to my bank on Dec 2. So on the 3 I called and the foreign gentlemen I spoke to advised me of another transaction on my account which wasn't mine so he said to cancel my card and send a new one.     I've had a WMC for I think close to 5 years, never ever once had any issues with it or the issuing bank Red Dot. However, recently I called to change my address and ask for a new card since my old card was worn out. I had to work out of town after my request for the new card, when I got back in town and opened my mail it had arrived during my time out of town, I called the number to activate the new card and was told my card had been blocked. I finally reached a human and again was told my card was not only blocked but that my account was being closed. The first customer service rep could not tell me why so I asked for a superior, this person basically said the same thing with the addition of I had violated the parameters. I asked what parameters had I violated and or what exactly are the parameters for the account and he said he could not disclose that information.

    I tried every way I could think of to ask about these "parameters" and was told over and over that it could not be disclosed. The entire conversation made me feel as I had done something wrong, that the card and or my use of it was criminal? Additionally, I was told that I would not be allowed to open another account?? My card was used only for convenience like paying a bill or the grocery store. To be told that the account was being closed because I had violated parameters that I have no clue of, and that I could not open another account in my name was I feel wrong on Red Dot WMMC part and I really would like an explanation of why this has happened. In 5 years’ time to not have any issues and then boom the account is closed when Red Dot gets to use my money during that time period once again is wrong and deserves an explanation and or correction.

    A few days ago somebody hacked our card and stole over $800. They went to the United States Post Office and purchase two money orders for $400 each. The place that these purchases took place is over 2 hours away from where I am and my husband is who both have card and there were transactions done in 3 different locations all within minutes of each other. So obviously if there's only two cards on the account how is it possible that three transactions were being done within minutes of each other all within very far distance of each other?

    When I called to file the dispute the lady on the phone told me that she couldn't give me any false hope and that most likely I won't be getting my money back from them and that I should contact the merchant. Now this is supposed to be an FDIC secured banking system which means if our money is fraudulently taken that they are supposed to put it back. I sent all the documentation including a police report that was filed. That was my Christmas money. How am I supposed to tell my son the Christmas is off this year because this dispute process takes so long and even at the end of it I was told that I'm not going to get my money back. I need this taken care of ASAP and I need the money put back on the card before Christmas. We are not a rich family. We live paycheck to paycheck.

    My employee was having her checks directly deposited to her card, and the last deposit never showed up on her card, even though it was taken out of our payroll account. It is impossible to get anyone who can help with this on the phone. We provided customer service with a tracing number from payroll, but still nobody knows where the money is. Supposedly, management does not have a phone number we can call, and no one knows where the money is.     My card broke almost in two, that's ok...they all break with time. I called in to customer service as I have in the past and explain that my card broke and a piece fell off... I could not find it. No problem, they charged me 3.00 for a replacement and expedited me a new one. Well two days later I go to check my balance and my card was blocked. I called customer service again and they said they needed me to verify my identification. I uploaded a picture of the front and back of my Florida driver's license and it said upload successful. I call back later to see my card status and it stated my account was closed. WHY? WHY?

    I'VE BEEN WITH Walmart MoneyCard for years close to 5 or 6 years. I never got my account blocked or closed for requesting a replacement card. Even though they closed my account, they could not give me a reason other than suspicious activity on my account. I have both the old and new replacement card. Why would I be sent a new card and be charged a fee for it if my account was suspicious and closed. I don't understand? I really don't. I've waited for two weeks to get my direct deposit as I usually do and now I have no gas money or food money tomorrow, Friday, 12/14/2017. They said they will reject direct deposit... WTH! I have call and they tell me they have no answer and honestly don't know. I hope someone can shed some light on this.

    I have been having my Walmart MoneyCard for over 4 years now and never have I been hacked into before. I woke up on the 12th with a negative balance of -724.00. I mean WOW. Since when does Walmart MoneyCard allow you to get negative so much money. I called and reported this to the call center and was told that I would have a response in 1 day. I called them all day the next day, only to get a response that my Vault balance was the reason why I was negative. Excuse me? I always have money in my Vault! This is not true! Now I am stuck with a very high negative balance and nowhere near enough money to pay it off. I had to cancel the card and my account. I feel just completely let down by this system.

    I’ve been using the Walmart Green Dot card for several years and never had a problem until I purchased 20 in gas from a Shell station and when I got ready to pump the gas the pump was broken. The lady refunded my money to the card and it sat pending for a week then I noticed that the money disappeared but it was never released back into my account. So I called Green Dot and that’s where the problem begins. I was told that it was an UNDISPUTABLE TRANSACTION!!! So I can’t get my money back. They want me to talk to the SHELL and the Shell store wants me to talk to them… I’m canceling my card and going with an actual bank that will assure me that my money is protected.

    I would never Recommend the Walmart MoneyCard. Had a bad Experience and still going through a process to receive money off my Walmart MoneyCard to be released. I received credit from and Walmart product and I had the credit deposit on my Money Card. Green Dot block my card so I couldnt use it. I call poor customer service. I can't get no one to help me. Finally got someone on the phone from customer service. They inform me that my card has been blocked 'cause a fraudulent activity from Walmart.

    I explain to customer service that it was a credit from Walmart deposited on this card. I swiped and also put pin number and why was It locked. "OK sir can you verify the receipt and send it to the website?" 7 emails I sent to them today December 13, 2017. Tthey said they never seen the documents. Never ever purchase a Walmart money card. Every time I get to customer service the excuse was, "We don't see any email you send. Can you please resend it?" I've been fighting this frame for a week And nothing is done about it.

    I have been cashing my check at Wal-Mart for years and a few weeks back I decided to get a Walmart MoneyCard. I just tried out the check cashing feature via the App and it malfunctioned causing major issues. The Check verification company Certegy said that they sent an approval to the App to cash the check, but since the app didn't acknowledge it their system is set up to auto deny any further attempts as a security precaution.

    They advised me to contact the Walmart MoneyCard Member services to seek a remedy to the issue. When I called the VERY rude guy told me that Certegy was lying and refused to help me. When I explained that I just wanted to figure out the check cashing App so I could use this feature he told me that he was just going to delete my account. I said "No, you're not going to delete my account, I want to speak to a manager." He laughed and said no and hung up! I am now unable to use the Walmart support number as it tells me I don't have a card!

    I am giving this review one star because I can't do half a star, this is by far the worst service I have had. I can't activate my card and gave my information to the card service number I called with no luck and the automated system said my information was bogus; this is beyond frustrating and I would never suggest this service to anyone and by the way, you can't even get a refund for your money. This is by far the worst service card and I absolutely do not want to talk to the company about this, as far as I'm concerned they can keep the damn money which is approximately $100.

    I have been trying to get in contact with customer service since Friday. Our card was turned off (even though there is money and we can see it) with no explanation or reason why. When calling customer service, it asks for all this information and when input, it still doesn't allow you to talk to anyone. Terrible. What's the purpose of having customer service if you can't talk to anyone. I wonder how fast I'll get a response once I file this Better Business Bureau complaint and it becomes public record?     I've been using my Wal-Mart Money Card for maybe 3 years now and recently I lost it so I reported it lost. Well the wrong address was put down and I'm trying to speak with a actual person instead of the automated one but since the card is frozen as well as the account I can't talk to anyone to change the address to the correct one. I keep getting emails saying the card will arrive in a day or two but it will not arrive at my address. I've been trying to figure this out for going on 2 weeks. It's frustrating because I have money in my account also a check that's about to deposit and I can't use it so that means I can't pay bills. It's becoming stressful.     I started a Walmart prepaid visa account which all of a sudden I am locked out of within a day of having. Now instead of being able to contact a live person they refuse to allow access to my funds without uploading a picture of my driver's license. I am discouraged from ever sending valuable information that could potentially be used to access other personal info/banks cards etc. over the internet. Let talk identity theft and how we can make it this much easier. They can't even accept a PDF file. No. It has to be a JPEG?! THERE is NO other banks I've ever gone through that require such action to be taking over a card that was blocked automatically. NOT Reported stolen.

    ALL information that was given at the time of activation and verified therefore WHY on god's green earth NOW do they want to see such documentation and in the form of a JPEG? Why can't I just confirm my transactions and get on with life? If I was to guess I would say that if I was a low level bank and I say blocked and refused access to tens of thousands of people in hopes that they just blow it off and leave the company that much richer OR you can choose to send us valuable information that can later be stolen and used maliciously to disgrace your name and/or bury your credit. Meanwhile we will hold on to this money and collect interest between you and the 10 thousand other victims of this scam

    Why can you not walk into any Walmart and flash your ID and have the teller lift the hold on these accounts??? Why can you not contact a live agent for these instances??? IT'S OBVIOUS they do not want to resolve these matters quickly and there is a profit to be had in the delaying. I think we should open up the books and see exactly how much money Green Dot has actually made in comparison to how much money they have gained in the abandonment of funds due to leveraging funds for sensitive information that could easily be avoided via a Phone Call or In Store.

    I have used the Walmart money card for years without any issues. I noticed unauthorized foreign charges to my card (3 for a total of over $15.00). I reported my card as stolen/lost on 12/4 thinking all unauthorized charges would stop. My card was charged the $3.00 card replacement fee on 12/4, indicating that the other card was closed and would not be able to be charged. However, I got 3 new unauthorized charges to my account on 12/5. I am set to get direct deposit in 4 days and am very concerned that these companies can keep charging me even though I reported the card as stolen.

    I tried to complete the fraud report on the Walmart money card site 3 times. Getting an error message each time saying that it wasn't working at this time. In order to file a dispute you must print out a form and return it by mail, by that time my account will be cleared out. I see no fraud protection with this card at all. I am looking for a new prepaid card at this time.

Last week I had several withdrawals from my account so I called customer service and they told me I would have to wait to file a report until the transactions were out of pending.     My daughter purchased a new Walmart card to pay for her child's Christmas items but now this child has to not enjoy Christmas since the rules changed on a Walmart card.     12.8.2017. I write this review after purchasing a Walmart Moneycard to use for the upcoming holidays!!! I tried to register the card online and it for some reason the automated system stated it was unsuccessful. So I called the 800 number to speak with someone and entered my card # and it asked me for the ss # which I inputted but it doesn't recognize me.

    I have been calling that number for 24 hrs trying to speak with a "LIVE" person about this issue. This is so absurd! My intent with purchasing this card was to use it for the holidays in stores and online and to continue to place money on it... It's useless...     I attempted to make a purchase at Nordstrom.com yesterday. After entering all of my information, I submitted the order. There was an error message stating that they were having technical difficulties and to try again. I hit submit 2 more times and had the same outcome. The order was not placed. I checked my account and saw 3 pending charges from Nordstrom. I contacted Nordstroms and they stated that they only sent Green Dot authorization for the charges, and that I should contact the bank and tell them to release those charges. And, that they notify the banking institutions at the end of the day as well. I contacted Green Dot and they are refusing to release that money until 12-14th. I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS PLACE. First of all they can release that as they have done it before. 2nd their CSRs don't speak proper English. I went ahead and filed a complaint with the FDIC! And, I am taking my business elsewhere.

When I asked the cashier about it, I was told I could use it IMMEDIATELY after registering the card. So I set it up when I got home, waited the 15-20 minutes that the website tells you to wait, my son tries to use the card, it's an invalid card number. Ok, maybe we give it a little longer.     I've had my card for many years and had no issues until today. My card has been split down the middle and very difficult to use. I requested a new one online to replace it. The old card still works just not easy to swipe. They have blocked my account for at least 2 days until they verify my identity? I logged into the account from my pc and that should be good enough.     This is the worse card ever when you have issues and no live rep to speak too... I got my daughter a card about a month ago so she can use it for her debit card.     We enrolled in the MoneyCard program so that I could purchase gifts for my husband and preserve the surprise. Because we knew that it might be 10-12 months between purchases, and we’d be reloading the card infrequently, we were looking for a no-fee card. The WalMart associate who set us up with the card assured us that there would be no fee. We were very clear what we wanted and why, so unless the associate did not understand their own product, there should have been no reason for us to have been set up with a card that had fees.

    12 months later I checked the balance, expecting to see $56.00. Instead I saw -8.00. When I called customer service, the rep told me that she was only authorized to refund $5.00. After further discussion, she told me that she spoke with her manager, and was now authorized to refund $50.00, but could not refund more because there was a $50 cap. She also said that the money would be on the account within 24 hours. 24 hours later when I logged in to check my balance it said $3.00. 3 days after the conversation, the balance said -$3.00.

    When I once more called customer service, the representative told me that the notes attached to my account indicated that the previous rep made no mention of consulting a manager, nor being authorized to refund more than $5.00. I asked her to please let me speak with another manager. She told me that her manager was busy, but that I could be placed in a “priority queue.” And that the manager would call me back. I agreed. She told me to keep my phone handy so that I didn’t miss the call.

    That was 7 hours ago. As of this writing it is 10:00 central standard time. My cell phone indicates that no one has tried to call me in the last 7 hours. Needless to say, their priority queue seems to be more of a low priority queue. At this point I am tired of this company’s repeated failure to meet the expectations they set. Going forward, I only want two things: 1. A refund of the fees that I was told the card did not carry. 2. Canceling the account after I receive my refund. After that, I want nothing more to do with this company. I would not recommend this card for the casual user. And their abysmal customer service now means that I would not recommend the card for the frequent user, either. Unless the user could literally get no other card on the planet, would I even suggest considering this card.

    I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this card, terrible customer service and they are very sarcastic. I used my card to pay a bill online which was for 434.00. They sent the payment in twice then advised me that the merchant requested the payment twice, so I contacted the merchant and I was told they only received one payment. So the money was pending for several days not to mention this money was for another bill so now my bill is late and my funds still haven't been reversed. First I was told the funds will be reversed on the 6th. Now they're telling me the 7th. Also the money is no longer showing in none of my transaction. I am very frustrated and pissed and soon as I receive my money I will be canceling this card. The agents were very rude and nonchalant about my issue, this is by far one of the most horrible prepaid cards I have used and I used a few.

    I've had a positive experience with Walmart MoneyCard for the past 10 years, even when I got married and wanted to change the name on my card and they refused to do so... leaving me to have to order a new card. This past week I made an online bill payment that did not reflect on my transaction history. I called customer service and the rep stated that nothing was showing on their end and that nothing was pending.

    Two days later the payment was deducted after I had already used another card to make the online payment. I called customer service for a second time and the rep stated that nothing was showing on their end and that I needed to submit a screenshot of my transaction history because I told them that the payment was deducted and the rep said it wasn't. I received an email on today that stated that nothing was wrong with my card so no further action would be taken. I am angry! I am calling them again to see if I can get this resolved because I don't have money for them to hold hostage. If I don't get this resolved I am closing both of my cards!

    I have been a customer with Walmart MoneyCard for many years. This week (11-27, and 11-28-2017) I had my card hacked somehow, and around 600 dollars was spent by theft off my card in one day. I promptly made a report, and then emailed a signed detailed dispute form to Walmart. Now, my next paycheck has gone in on that card, and also the 600 that was stolen is still missing, and Walmart just froze my account. I got an email asking me to send in a picture of my ID. I tried to do that with the link from my email, but it wont accept it because that card # is now frozen. So I tried to call Walmart but I cant get through because my card number is now invalid and it wont accept my Social Security # either.

    So my wife has a different account with Walmart as well, she then called in and was able to get in touch with a supervisor, and they then got me a person to explain that a new card and # has been mailed, and I must wait for that card before the online ID picture will be able to be accepted. When I get my new card, please help expedite this case. I work out of town and I have no other access to funds, my children are out of town with me as well. Walmart has been attentive and I am supposed to be getting a new card in 5 more days. I have no access to any funds until I get that card, my family and our bills depend on it. Please respond.     I've had the Walmart MoneyCard for years and have all my direct deposit going to it. Yesterday I had a charge for some online subscription that I don't have and called to dispute it. I was told that my card would be cancelled and replaced with a new card but that my direct deposit information would stay the same. No problem, just wait 7-10 business days for the new card to come right? This morning I get an email asking for DL verification to unblock my account. Only I can't use my card number to verify with because it's been cancelled. Reading other reviews, it seems a new card won't be sent before verifying but I can't talk to ANYONE? The automated system says "account blocked and agents can't help you" and hangs up. I get paid weekly, so I am losing my paychecks to a void until this is straightened out and I have bills to pay. Please tell me how I can speak to someone directly.

    I’ve been banking with Walmart card for about a year. I lost my card and I can no longer speak to a rep on the phone without the card number, my other info I put in isn’t correct in the system. So I have no way of unblocking my card and getting my money. I’ve emailed them multiple times and each time they just reply with the Walmart Money Card assistance number. Which I have notified them doesn’t work for me.

    I have been using the MoneyCard for years, but this last year I have went through 6 cards and on ALL of them, folks have been able to hack in and empty my acct. I have used them for Direct deposit at my job and keep losing money. When I find I've been hacked, I call the Customer service and they cancel that card and issue me another, only to have that one hacked. The process of reporting unauthorized transactions is brutally difficult. I have to print out a multiple page form that allow only 5 transactions (when I have 20-30), fill them out and mail them in and then they will take their time (up to 6 mo) to decide. Last June I was wiped out of $550. I went through the process and after 2 mo. they closed my case, without an explanation or anything. WHAT?

    So let me get this straight, YOU allow folks to get into my acct and YOU allow them to make transactions and buy things, wiping out my acct and then close my acct? SO you cancelled that card and issued me another one and this time they wiped out over $2000. Why is that? How is it possible that I have to input a password and answer security questions to get into my acct, yet total strangers can get in and make buys with my money without ANY of that? How does red flags not pop up when my acct is registered in one place (say KC, MO) and folks are making purchases on my acct in NYC and L.A., Ca, while I'm steadily using it in KC? I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

    I used this card for a while without issue, but a few mornings ago, I found out that they closed my account with zero explanation or warning. Now, I can't get my hotel incidentals refunds because hotels are only allowed to refund back to the card that was originally used. There is NO live customer service to speak to, and only canned responses are given via email. This has been an incredible inconvenience, and I'm out over $200. I used to recommend this card to friends and family but definitely won't. I'm having my 4 kids close their accounts, as well as having my grandparent's close theirs (we used it to help them pay their bills). It's bad business to just close an account with any warning on top of having no way to speak to a live person regarding the matter. DO NOT GET THIS CARD!!!

    I've had this card for 3 years because it's convenient for me when my bank is closed & I need to pay a bill. Until tonight when I went to my local Walmart & 2 employees told me I couldn't load my card at a register & that I'd have to wait for the MoneyCenter to open tomorrow.     I started using this card a few years ago. After about two years using it, I opened a bank account and switched all of my stuff over to it. I cancelled my Walmart MoneyCard. However, I found out a couple of weeks ago that the Veteran's Affairs was still depositing my travel pay on this card. I contacted Walmart MoneyCard by phone and was able to reach an agent. He checked on the card for me and said it was still active and still had $301 on it. The travel pay office told me they had deposited a total of $512 on it. I asked the agent about it and he said yes it was deposited on the card, but because I had not used the card, they were taking a set amount every month for being inactive. The agent told me that he would send me a new card and I would need to activate it. Once activated I would have access to my money. They even charged me $3 to send the new card.

    I received the new card and followed the directions to activate the card. I received a prompt that told me my account had been blocked and I would have to verify my identity by uploading a picture of my driver's license. I uploaded the front and back images of the card exactly how the instructions said to do. I checked on it the next day and found a message saying that the images were illegible and I had to submit documentation again. I have uploaded my driver's license three times so far with the same results. The pictures are clear and easy to read but I still cannot get my funds that are on the card.

    I have called Walmart MoneyCard several times and only get a recording saying that my card has been blocked and is needing identity verification. I cannot get through to a representative at all. This company has already taken $200 of my money. I am a disabled veteran with a family that I have to support and I cannot even get through to talk to a real person. I have never felt so scammed. Everyone please stay away from this company. They will take your money and you will not have any way to get in touch with anyone

    On 11/14/2017 I ordered a replacement card and it is now 11/30/2017 and I still have not received my new card. My money is on hold. I can't pay my bills and since I have a new card on the way my old card has been shut down. When I call them they have no account information for me so I can't speak with a live person.     I went to my local Wal-Mart on 11/27/2017 and had my check cashed and loaded to my card. The rep at the Wal-Mart money center messed up the transaction, which resulted in a manager being called in to fix the mix up. The money center had to do a refund back to my card. After the refund was posted to my account, Green Dot locked my card, and it's been locked since Monday. After contacting Green Dot, I was told I had to send in a copy of my receipt for the original transaction where the money center rep messed up. I provide the receipt, then I was told I had to wait 2 business days before the lock would be taken off. It has been 3 days and I still don't have access to my money. I've called customer service for the card, and they are still giving me the runaround.

    I have bills that I need to pay, but Green Dot has yet to release my money. This is the worse card ever. The reps that I have spoken with claim there is no one higher than them there when I requested to speak to a supervisor. This is really ridiculous on all levels. After this situation is done and I have my funds, I will never use this card again. I would not recommend this card at all.

    I have had a Walmart MoneyCard for 5 years. I have had absolutely no complaints. I’m a retired veteran and have my military pay going to this card monthly. My purse was stolen on late Sunday night, I call Walmart early Monday morning explained the situation and request a new card be mailed... here is the problem!!! Once they cancelled my stolen card I received an email saying they suspect false charges on my card, which is incorrect. I reported the card stolen. Now that my card has been suspended I have no way of speaking to a representative about my upcoming deposits. The automatic system sucks. I will be canceling this card as soon as I get my new card and remove my funds from it. It appears that most cardholders are complaining about the same issues in which Walmart does nothing.     I have had this card for 2 years now with no issues. My weekly pay which I depend upon dearly is suddenly unobtainable as I have requested a replacement card and have a different address.     Today is Thanksgiving, all of my co workers received their Direct Deposit today but I never received mine, and I usually get paid on Thursday and not Friday like my co workers (one of the benefits of the card)! I called customer service (big joke calling customer service)! I was told there is no direct deposit even pending for my card, and it's been direct deposit for over a year if not longer!     I have had the Walmart MoneyCard for almost 3 years and never had an issue till this past week. Last Friday I tried to log in to my account and was not able to do so. I called the customer service number and they informed me I needed to wait 24 hours. So, after the 24 hours I tried logging into my account again and same thing only this time it told me I was locked out of my account. I called customer service again and they told me to try and reset my password online... so I tried and again it told me I was unable to do so. I have called customer service for 5 days now and no one is willing to help me. I have talked to supervisors who tell me the same thing... "wait 24 hours" and nothing happens!!! I have even spoke with an IT supervisor who informed me that he would escalate the issue and that was 2 days ago and I have not heard anything. So, here it is a week later and I'm still locked out of my account and NO ONE is willing to help. Not even a supervisor!

    Every 2 weeks I attempt to reload my card at Walmart and every single time I have to go to multiple registers including money center just to have it decline. For example: today I wanted to load $1350 on it... I tried multiple different money amounts in order to reload my card and it declined every time!!     About 2 weeks ago someone that lives in a completely different state hacked my card & stole money. I have no clue how this was done but I reported it immediately as fraud and had my card closed down. I was sent a new card and a block was placed on my account until I could verify my identity which I did and let me tell you that was only the beginning of my problems.

    I had almost $200 STOLEN from me. I AM THE VICTIM HERE and every time I call I'm treated like the damn criminal. I never get any help and now my money is all tied up in disputes and I have bills to pay and children to take care of. I can honestly say I don't make a lot of money so the little that I do has to go a long way. Every time I call I get a different answer & am told that I have to wait to get MY money back until the dispute has been completed. THIS IS MY MONEY!!! I work for it and you have no right to keep it on hold for that long and then when I call in I get some stupid representative that actually had the nerve to ask if I gave my card information to anyone. REALLY!? How stupid can you be? Why in the hell would I give my card information to anyone. I want my money back and I want it back now. These were fraudulent charges and I can easily prove that. If I don't get some help quickly I will be forced to take legal action.

    We were issued new cards when we reported one damaged. For an unknown reason they have blocked the new cards. The phone system will not let me talk to a person to discuss this. Our money is locked into this card and we cannot use it. We successfully used the MoneyCard for several years before this. I have two cards. One I load in Texas and one my disabled daughter in Colorado used for purchases and cash. Her card quit working and she assumed it had been damaged. We asked for a replacement and were told that all new cards had to be sent. Upon receipt I was told that the card was blocked.

    I am bewildered as I have excellent credit & we have never had any issues that would lead to this. Is it because when Equifax had their breach I blocked my credit reports? My daughter may have forgotten her Pin as she has been ill. I'm afraid to try to change the PIN as that might make things even worse. I cannot reach a person no matter what I've tried. I need help.

    On November 16th I got paid from Walmart $412 which goes onto a Money Network Mastercard. I went into Apple Valley Walmart to unload the card and there was an issue. I pulled out card in the middle of transaction and was cancelled on Walmart side however Money Network does not show the cancellation and won't refund my money. I have filed a dispute and Money Network says it will be up to 45 days for me to get my money.

    In the meantime I have several payment arrangements that I had made prior to get my accounts current that I can't pay and my car will go into repossession and my storage unit will be auctioned off, my water heater and stove run on propane and that ran out on November 18th. My internet/landline has been interrupted due to nonpayment. I wasn't able to speak to a supervisor and after faxing over proof that Walmart cancel transaction I am still without my $400 which was my paycheck. It's been a nightmare and I don't know how this isn't illegal. My money has been stolen right in front of face.

    I need 2015 statements and they can't be accessed because "The system only has 12 months worth of history". I am charged every month to have the card if the direct deposit threshold isn't met plus I am charged $3 to load the card among other fees - you would think with the amount of people that use this card you would have a better system of pulling archived records for your customers. I am beyond angry at this point and will no longer use this card for anything.

    I have had a card for over 6 years and never had an issue until September. I went to use my card and was informed that there were insufficient funds. I know that my direct deposit had been sent 2 days prior and I had not used my card since before that. When I got home I checked and found that someone had withdrawn $800.00 in three separate ATM withdrawals in less than 30 min. I reported the unauthorized withdrawals and as of this date I am still fighting to get my money back. From the terms of agreement, they violated at least 2 of them. (No more $400.00 per day from ATM withdrawals and holding me responsible when I reported the theft well within the time required.) I am lucky in that I didn't have all of my money in that account so that I can still afford to pay my bills, but most people do not. This would be extremely difficult for someone who has all their money stolen from them in this manner.

    I purchased a Walmart MoneyCard. Signed up for direct deposit through Social Security Administration I received. My first deposit went on a card that I had previously discontinued through Walmart MoneyCard's automated service operator (live person). That was resolved. However it took quite a while after sending MoneyCard my ID number over and over through their document transfer app. They continued to say it was not legible.

    After send it twelve times I called the automated service. Finally they informed that my complete balance was available and that I can only retrieve. The balance. I can never reload the card and they were no longer have any interest in doing business with me and that they will no longer accept my direct deposit. Social Security accidentally sent it because I did not tell them in a timely manner. Well my money is stuck in Green Dot bank. I have been trying to contact them since the 28, of Oct. to no avail.     I purchased a Walmart MoneyCard this past Saturday so I can make online utility payments. After I registered the card I went to make my first payment, the payment kept declining, I tried again, it declined again. I waited a few minutes thinking that since I just registered the card the funds weren't available. 1 hour went by and the card still declined. So I used the routing and account information that was provided to me as that was an option for one of my utility bills. I went to pay my other bill and the card declined again, so I call Walmart MoneyCard customer service and was told that the card was a temporary card because some information that I may have entered was not correct!!! They told me that I was only allowed to use the card in person at store as a credit transaction ONLY!!! I can't get my cash back, I can't make an online payment, I can't withdraw money from a ATM. MY MONEY is being held hostage.

    The customer services reps are rude, they hung the phone up on me because I requested to speak with a supervisor to try and correct this as there was a pending ACH payment that would get denied. I feel If their system thought that I put incorrect information in or it wasn't matching a previous account, then it shouldn't allowed me to register the card and directed me to call customer service, but it did not. I found out that they had a previous account under my maiden name and since that I have married and used my new last name it issued me a temp card that I can't use unless I make in store transactions, which I did not purchase the card to do!!! This is the worst experience EVER!!! And the customer service is AWFUL and very RUDE!!!

    I have had Walmart MoneyCard for many years. I have never really had any major issues with the use of the card, however the calls into customer service have been less than satisfactory. The most recent call was with regard to bogus/FRAUDULENT charges. My card # and my pin were apparently stolen. I say this because I had just gotten paid and I never take large denominations of money from my account and I would not have 2 withdrawals from the same ATM on the same day within a minute of each other totaling over my daily limit! There is a HUGE language barrier as I was calling offshore. I was cut off midsentence many times.

    I was given a credit of my funds and then it was taken back and the dispute closed. I attempted to make contact and kept being put on hold. I thought Green Dot was reputable until My card was compromised and someone was allowed to withdraw more than your limit and it was not authorized, oh and by the way I was home sick with both of my cards!!! NOW MY ACCOUNT SHOWS A NEGATIVE BALANCE. How is any of this acceptable??? Stay clear of the GREEN DOT WALMART MONEY CARD!!! How did they deny and justify 2 withdrawals done minute apart? Now I worked for a week for free? I think not, I have an appointment to speak with an attorney tomorrow. I’ve also filed a complaint with consumer affairs and the Attorney General's Office.

    Ever since I've had this card I've had really bad customer service experience. The customer service agents barely understand English. They tell you they're going to have someone call you back and nobody ever does. I don't understand how they can take money off of a card and not be able to reverse the transaction especially after talking to the merchant who verified that they are not going to claim any of the funds that were authorized. I also don't understand how a transaction could just vanish from the Pending Q and there not be any money go back into the account or anything.

I had a card that had to be closed, but it still had a account balance associated with it. I was told a check will be mailed to me with that ending account balance by a specific date. As that date approached, was told by another that it hadn't been mailed yet and they would have it mailed out. So on, and on... Well here we are in the middle of November and still I have not received that ending account balance check!?? The cs reps act very cavalier and don't care. I want my check!!!

    I reloaded my card with $200 on a invalid card. Meaning I wouldn't be able to spend money on this card but nothing wrong the register stopped me from putting my money on it. I needed to use the funds right away. If the card was not valid, why am I only able to add money... It's ridiculous... Finally I had them send me a new card in which once I received it, it was blocked. Now I have to Upload my ID to withdraw money from the card which takes 2 business days and it's Saturday! I'm highly pissed that my money is tied up. I feel like using this card is a waste of time. In the meantime I guess I'll go without food and wait until they feel like releasing my card!     Well I got my personalize card through the mail. Activated it, added money to card at Walmart. I sent my brother in law money. From card. Then my daughter tried too, to use my card my to pay a bill. It wouldn't work. So I want to try to add more to card can't load. When I called they said card was blocked. I sent my ID over to them.     My experience was very poor with Walmart MoneyCard Greed Dot. I acquired the card in January 2017 to provide a card to my son that would have limited funds for him to purchase online games. I understand a service is being provided and fees is the only way for Walmart or Green Dot bank to make money. The account had a low balance and the monthly fees ate it away, again which is fine. The fees started to incur negatively until it reached 10 usd. When I called customer service and asked to speak to a supervisor, the agent argued with me and refused to transfer the call and eventually hung up on me.

    I called back and spoke to a 3rd party company who verifies transaction on behalf of Green Dot and she (Robyn - really professional) canceled for me the 3 attempts of depositing 100 usd that I made because the website was erroneous. I had her transfer me to 1877-937-4098 and had to repeatedly ask for a supervisor. I was transferred to Chris, who apologized and promised to have the call reviewed and if necessary have management discuss the issue with the agent that hung up on me.

    I explained the issues and she could not understand why I find it unethical to charge fees for an account that reached zero and the customer has not attempted to use in months. I explained to her that it is almost impossible to find them on the phone and the fact that not one sentence after the explanation of charges, it said the account can go negative and the customer is responsible to deactivate the account when they run out of money. The website does not have a deactivation option. It should be considered fraud if I cannot cancel a transaction that was created online. If I can create it on the website, I should have a quick option to temporarily or permanently deactivate. PS. To my fellow customers, do not use the services until the policy is changed and the website updated. •Bank of America: $410 million to settle claims of more than 13 million customers that the company used unethical overdraft practices.

    We used to love our card and specifically got one that was supposed to waive the reload fee when we cashed our check, but as of a couple of months ago it has become a lot of stress and hassle, ending most of the time having to go through a check out line and paying the reload fee because very few people in customer service know how to load it. I have even been treated very rudely by the same shift leader twice because she doesn’t know how to do it and thinks we are lying about doing it this way for the past 6 years.     I purchased this after asking if my son could use it immediately. First mistake because he could not. We needed it to be used that day. Instead he was blocked and I had to go online and create an account and get a card in mail DAYS later. Then when he tried to use it said pin incorrect. I went to Wal-Mart money center in store and they were absolutely no help. I had to copy my DL front and back and scan to .com address to unblock. Then it still says pin incorrect. Never again, if I could give it negative stars I would. The topper on the cake is that the 800 number to call for customer support has no humans, just a voice saying go to the website. So I guess it's Walmart scam to keep my money on the card since I am unable to use it.

    My Walmart MoneyCard is closed and I cannot get a hold of a single person to tell me how to fix it. Your card is holding 180 dollars of mine that it will not let me withdraw or make any transactions on. I need a prompt reply or phone call. I was closed out of my Walmart MoneyCard because of “suspicious” activity. I have reviewed all recent transactions and they are all accurate. I currently still have money on that card that is no longer accessible to me. Your automated phone line will not let me speak to a representative because my account is closed.

The number on the back of my card is an automated system that will not let me reach a representative because my account is closed.     I have $181.00 and some change still on that card that I cannot access. I cannot use any of the funds on that card. Your automated system will not get me to a representative. The associates at Walmart customer service in store cannot help me they said. Green Dot cannot help me because it’s a Walmart Card.     We made an online purchase and unfortunately it ended up not being a secure site. As soon as I knew I turned the card off and had them send me a new one. Shortly after the account was blocked. I received the new card and followed the necessary avenues to get account unblocked and the new card activated. Here we are days later and my paycheck cant be deposited on the card for reasons unknown to me.

    I tried multiple times over the last 2 weeks to get a hold of an actual person to get this sorted out appropriately and in a timely manner. The customer service SUCKS! An automated system works great for some cases but not this one. I think it's ridiculous that you have no option to speak to a representative! Unless this gets rectified and soon, we will take our business elsewhere!

    That's very crazy. My MoneyCard Visa lost. I call them to send me another one, they send me a MasterCard with another account number. But I could use my phone to make transaction. I call them to let them know I need a Visa card with the same account number, because I got direct deposit on it. They said ok. First, they lock my account and could not use my money to pay any bills. The worst, they never send me a new card. I am very angry at this time. Somebody can help me to get my money very quick?

    Today (11-07-2017), I purchased a $100.00 Walmart Visa Debit card. I tried to register it four times using their online service and was unsuccessful. The first three times it wouldn't allow me to "continue" without providing a message as to why or what was wrong. The fourth time it gave an error message stating I should provide an email address. I have provided an email address each of the four times I tried to register. I had no means to contact a human to discuss this with Walmart. They don't provide a phone number or have a "Chat" site. Can you help?

    I been customer of Walmart money card since over 3 years. I lost my card and I decided to open a new account. When I receive my card I was not able to activate it. I call customer service and they told me I have to upload my identification online. I try too many times and the system was not accepting it. I call customer service and they told me is nothing they can do. They denied me the right to speak with a supervisor. Walmart customer service contact me by phone and I explain again the same situation and they told me I need to get a United States is because as they said Puerto Rico is not part of United States, I feel discriminated by this bank by my citizenship. Puerto Rico also got Walmart money cards in there for sale.

    My question is how they going be selling Walmart money card in Puerto Rico and they don't accept Puerto Rico identifications? They should then don't sell any kinds of products in Puerto Rico. Also I have $500 dollars on my account that Walmart MoneyCard don't wanna refund to me and I can't have neither access because I can activate the card. I feel that the bank do this to me that way they can steal my money, ideas about safety. I think they should ask first for my identification not after I receive the card and I got the money on my account.

    I purchased the temporary card in store and then tried to activate online, the online activation was not accepting my information but would not give me a reason so I then tried to call the activation number from the sticker on the front of the card and got the automated system and entered all of my information then the automated system transferred me to a customer service representative to verify my personal information. The person I spoke with had a very heavy accent and I could understand very little of what she said. We both had to repeat questions and answers multiple times then I was asked to hold while she verified the information. I then heard another automated message telling me that my information could not be verified and I could not make online purchases or cash withdrawals, that they would not be sending me a personal card nor could I reload the one I have. I could only make in store purchases.

    Now I can't get ahold of a real person to talk to. They don't offer email help services and a card with my money that I can't use for what I got it for in the first place. I have never had an experience like this with Walmart before and I have had a money card with them previously and everything went smoothly. I don't understand and would like this problem fixed.

    If you get this card, Walmart WILL eventually steal your money, someway. When you dispute they will deny it. And then when you call they will not talk to you. They will blame anyone else they can to not accept responsibility for their actions. I tried to pay my mortgage (like I do every month) and for some reason last month my mortgage company didn't get it. Which made me LATE ON MY PAYMENT. Walmart blamed them saying they took out too much or some crap (I've heard every excuse in the book). They will not give me back my money, don't know where it is, and act like they don't even care. I am fed up. If someone does not fix this by the end of the week I am taking legal action. This is fraud and theft. I will NEVER give Walmart my business again. $1,116.00 just gone! POOF! BEWARE!!!

    This is a great option when you need a debit card without the hassle of getting a bank account. However, the customer service number provides little to no assistance when you need to talk to someone. I recently lost my card and reported it lost. The site did not provide an ETA to receive the new card upfront. Days go by and I am still waiting. I called the 800# to find out when to expect the card. It asked me for the card number. How was I to know that. I haven't even received it yet. Went the website again.

    Went to lost/stolen page and only then did it say that it would take two weeks to receive. I get my check direct deposited to my card and just got paid. I can't use any money. I have bills due and use the card to pay them. I don't even know the new number so I can change it on the specific bill website. I have no idea what to do. I can't even use the send money option because you can only send it PayPal, to another Wal-Mart money card or Green Dot card. I probably won't even get the card until I get paid again. So disappointing. I have no idea what the new card number is but I can provide info from the original.

    I have always enjoyed Wal-Mart moneycard until I was scammed by someone. I filed a dispute and received a letter stating that the money was put on my account. Problem is they canceled my card and was supposed to get a check sent. It now has been two weeks since I got the first letter and every time I call customer service it states that I am making an invalid entry and will not let me talk to anyone at all! I need my money.     I'd purchased a card in Miami and loaded with 150 USD, don't have a social number since I don't live in the US, hadn't had any help at the store from the customer service.     So last month we lost our card and paid the fee to receive a new a card, in which they said would be 7 business days. We have not yet received any card and when calling the customer service I waited 45 minutes on hold to be told that we needed to provide documentation to receive the card. Today I looked at my account and they are charging maintenance charges because there is no activity on the account. I am very disappointed with the customer service and the amount of time I have been without money that is in the vault that I can't get to. Also you can't verify your identity without a card number, I am hoping that someone will reach out and help me fix this problem.

    This card is actually a good card because you get paid two days early. You don't have to worry about overdraft charges. But the problem comes in with this card is when you lose it how you have to wait for them to send you a card. They block your account. You cannot talk to a live person to see what's going on with your account. You're in limbo about what your balances and you have to talk to a machine that shuts everything down. So after you finally get your card you can't activate it until you send them a copy of your identification. You would think that they would have a easier way for you to identify yourself.

    Besides it taking two extra days this card would be great and a lot of people would have it. If once you lose it you can go to Walmart and get a temporary card to your card comes in the mail so you can have access to your money instead of being without access to your money for almost a week just like the bank. I know this is not the bank but once you lose your bank debit card you can go to the bank and get a temporary card to your card comes in the mail. For Walmart it should be where you can go to Walmart and get a temporary card until your real card comes in the mail so you'll always have access to your money and also need a better way to identify yourself without having to upload your picture and wait for two days. No one knows my social. Nobody knows my special password is I have set up. I'm just saying it should be a easier way.

    I called Walmart Money Card to check my balance and learned during the night they closed my account and restricted me from never having another Walmart Money Card. No explanation. Nothing. No email. Not a thing. Tried calling customer service and they have it set up so I cannot even speak to them. They have allowed me to use the money that is left on my account. I still do not know why. Very disturbing. I have a lot of other complaints. They do not seem to care about their customers.     I am a little put out with Walmart. I went in to get a birthday card and a gift card for my nephew. The only thing I saw in the checkout was the Walmart money card. Thinking this should work I told the gal at checkout to put 25 dollars on the card. She told me I had to go to customer service to do that. Well that was a new one as I have always been able to load cards at the register. I thought no big deal. I will just load it at customer service. The gal at customer loaded the card with the 25 dollars and then told me I would need to call or go online to activate the card. Hmmm, once I have put money on cards in the past they have automatically been activated. Again I thought no big deal. I can do that. After all the card was only a dollar.

    When I got on my computer at home I thought it was a little strange that they should be asking me all these questions such as my SSN #, Address, phone, date of birth. Wow. All this for just a 25 dollar gift card. Then I read the document that came with the card and I would be charged 5 dollars the next day. Wow Wow Wow. Now it cost me 6 dollars for a 20 dollar gift card. THEN I find out that they will charge a 5 dollar monthly fee for the card every month. Unreal, all I wanted was a gift card to send to a young boy for his birthday. It would have helped if the gal at customer service would have told me upfront that there would be monthly fees. I would have declined the purchase and gotten a different card.

    While I love every other aspect of the Walmart MoneyCard, the photo deposit of checks is horrible! Sometimes it accepts the checks but mostly it doesn't. It processed my payroll checks for several weeks and now it doesn't giving the reason that my check was declined and when trying to process it again saying that my signature was too small. When I call the Customer Service number NOBODY can give me a reason. It is VERY frustrating, to the point that I'm looking for another reloadable debit card to use.

    I lost my Walmart prepaid Visa and reported it lost and ordered a replacement. I received the new card today and upon attempting to activate it I was told my account was BLOCKED and I needed to verify my identity by submitting a picture ID government issued which I did. I called the customer service number on the back of the card to check if it was still BLOCKED and I put in my new card number and was told by a recorded message that upon review of my account it has been closed and any future deposits will be rejected.

    I explored all options with the teleprompter and was unable to speak to anyone on the phone. I EVEN CALLED THE LOCAL WALMART MONEY CENTER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE. Who do I call to find out what is going on with my account? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP? My payroll check is direct deposited on this card and this is a horrible experience because I can't get anyone on the phone to explain what is going on. I can't even get a human on the phone by using the phone number on the back of the card 1-877-937-4098. Will someone please help????

    I've had an account for 5 years and without any explanation as to why, my account was closed by an automated message and told I would not be allowed to open any other cards with them. My account has been in good standing the entire time and was blocked from even viewing my funds and calling customer service is impossible once I enter my information. I can't even speak to a representative. No access or help to any money I have on my card. This all started after I received some fraudulent charges on the original card and I received the replacement card. I tried paying my credit card bill, made a purchase on Amazon and a few other purchases. That's when the decline transactions started.

    I was required to send in a picture of my ID for verification, which I did. I then received the message about the closing of my account. This is truly an enormous inconvenience due to having my direct deposit set to go into my account in a matter of days. Now I must try contacting my employer and request that the direct deposit be cancelled and a paper check be mailed to me instead which will cause several delays.

    How can I get in contact with someone that can help me. I would like to know the status of the dispute which I have made a claim. I didn't make any of those transactions that were made in Florida. I also have documentation showing where I was clocked in at work the time of those transactions which were made in Orlando, Florida and I work and live in Atlanta, GA. which my transaction history will show you that I haven't been out of Georgia.     I called over 2 weeks ago to get a replacement debit card because mine was stripped and not working properly. Representative told me my card would be canceled within 24 hours and a new card would be here 5-7 days, great no problem, so I wait 8 days and still no card. I called again because at this point I've got a large direct deposit coming in by the 31st of October that will obviously need to be used for bills. Get a rep on the phone and he tells me that no card has been sent and my current card was indeed still active. Although a little annoyed, since it was so close to my DD date I figured if the card was still active I would wait until after the deposit to have them send a new card so I could at least get my money off the card before my card was canceled.

    I used the card the next day at a gas station just fine (this was Saturday 2 days ago) then this morning I receive an email from WM MoneyCard stating I needed to verify my identity online by submitting photo ID and SS #. A little odd but okay, I tried to log on yet it says my card number has been blocked along with my whole account! I call the automated number to get someone on the phone and it tells me I need to verify my identity online, yet I cannot do that if my card number has been blocked! I cannot get ANYONE on the phone, just the automated system telling me my account has been blocked.

    This is extremely frustrating considering I tried to get a replacement card 2 weeks ago! Now there is no way to get a hold of anyone at WM MoneyCard and no way to resolve my account. This is unacceptable how they are just toying with people's money and livelihoods with this and this needs to be addressed! Now I won't be getting my direct deposit tomorrow thanks to them! Extremely unprofessional.

    This card only took money from me. I uploaded a card in order to receive direct deposits and while I was waiting they deducted their $5.00 a month fee. Then I went to check the balance because the first of the month was coming up again for them to take an additional $5.00 monthly fee from the balance I deposited and the WHOLE balance was gone! I immediately stopped direct deposit before the money was sent because I did not want them to take all that money too!

    I had called several times and spoke to corporate. I had a death in my family. With all the drama I had missed placed my card. Called customer service Walmart and they could not do anything for me so transferred me to corporate. So what the lady told me was go to Walmart and purchase a temporary card so I did. So what she was suppose to do for me is transfer my direct deposit from the misplaced card to the temporary and nothing ever happened. I still as of today's date received nothing and have spoken to corporate 3 times. They are the worst company ever. Now I have to wait who knows how long it will be before it's resolved and the sad thing is they can care less.

    I too have been locked out of my account for nearly ONE WEEK. With no way to reach a real person. This is the 2nd time I have been locked out of my own account in one month. I uploaded my passport the day they requested it, and have heard nothing. I was told it would be unlocked in 2 business days. It has been nearly a week. I have no way to access my money or any cash on hand. I would not recommend this card to my worst enemy. And plan on canceling it the moment the account re-opens.

    Yesterday I got a card at Walmart and loaded some money because I was going to buy something online. I've done it before and has worked okay but this time when I activated the card it said they couldn't verify my identity, will not be able to do online purchases or take the money from the card. Of course they can take the $5 fee the next day but I can't buy anything online. This never happened before and I'm very disappointed.

    I have been a customer of Walmart MoneyCard for well over 7 years! This company has put me through so much agony and stress since. Most recent issue I've had was reporting my card stolen. My wallet and phone was stolen from me. I had over $300 stolen used from my account. It took Walmart MoneyCard over 16 days to "investigate" the transactions. They never called me or nothing to give me an update.

    I called them to find out the update of my money. After 10 minutes of trying to get a live person on the line, they tell me they dismissed my investigation because the transactions was approved within the state I live in. This response had me in tears. Not only am I a single mother and make minimum wage, but now I had my money freely taken with no consequence? And because this thief spent my money in the same state I live in, I don't get my hard working money back???? I am disgusted with this fake bank! I am weak by all the stress they have caused me. I will not stop reaching out to whomever I need to, to get my money back and to make everyone is aware of this fraud institution!

    I was a Walmart MoneyCard for over 6 years... My social security has been direct deposited it that whole time. I use to recommend this card to everyone. Until a few days ago. They said I had a block on my card because of some unusual activity so I needed to upload my ID for proof. I hadnt used my card since Oct 4 so I was confused. Finally was sent a message to call the card and I was told by an automated voice that Walmart has decided to close my account and that any money loaded or direct deposits to my card would not go on.

    I just started new job and gave them my information for paycheck to be deposited onto my card. I also am expecting my social security in a couple of weeks and since it's after the middle of the month it's too late to change where my money goes. I tried calling customer service again to speak to someone and to get an explanation as to why they're closing my account after being a loyal customer for six years. I spoke to a rep and she had to transfer me to a specialist. After being placed on hold for 20 minutes and still no specialist I hung up. I will spend the rest of my days making sure people know how crooked Walmart MoneyCard is and how they just got rid of me with no warning screwing up my money and ability to pay my bills in November on time. Shame on you. I am so hurt and disgusted.

    I started working at Walmart about a month ago and I dont yet have a bank account. So for now I'm using the MoneyCard. Got my second one in the mail, activated it. My purchases have gone through fine but when I try to register my card on their site it says it's not in the system. I tried to call to check my balance and it wont say anything after I enter my card number. This is the first time it's happened. Cant speak to an actual person. Helpline is useless since it needs my 16 digit card number before I can do anything.

    I tried several times to call and check my balance. Still wont say anything after I enter my card number. I tried the other line and the automated voice said it's invalid. It also says my birth date is invalid? I'll check at an ATM but I'm still concerned. Cant find anything on their FAQ about it besides to call those lines or go to your account but it wont let me register my card. My only other option is to write them a letter. I need a bank account but for now I'm not sure what to do. I dont want to purchase anything until I get this resolved. I've read reviews of frozen and blocked accounts for seemingly no reason. Very concerned and the bare minimum of help is being offered. It's difficult to trust it at this point. The whole thing feels like a scam. What do I do? Is there something I just overlooked? Thanks.

    I lost my Walmart MoneyCard about a month ago. I asked for rushed shipping on my replacement card since all of my money was literally with this account. They charged me extra for this of course, but when it came 3 or 4 days later, I tried to activate it, only to be told that there was a block on it, and I'd have to submit a photo of my driver's license on both sides, then wait 2 business for them to approve the photo. Needless to say after about a week+ of me submitting photos that they didn't approve, they finally approved on the day after my newest direct deposit had been added onto it. It was such a hassle for them to finally allow me access to my own money.

    Last night I booked 2 rooms at a hotel to celebrate a family member's 50th Birthday. I get to the hotel to check in, and OMG Walmart has put yet another block on my card, and I'm being told that I have to once again submit a photo of my driver's license, wait 2 more business days (at the least), and hope like hell that they approve my photo so that I can have access to my freaking money. I'm dumbfounded now because I didn't report this new card lost or stolen. So why is there a block on it? And why can't I talk to a live person when I call to complain? I didn't learn my lesson the last time, but this time I sure have. How freaking embarrassing to be told that my card has been denied during check-in.

    My boyfriend is currently working in another state and since we both work very hard he will send me money for myself and my son if I ask. Where he is there is not a Suntrust and I thought I was making it easy on him by ordering a Walmart Prepaid Visa. I thought it was easy for him to just go in and load some money to my card however Walmart stated to purchase a Greendot Moneypak card. Which he did so at a Dollar General for 350. The card was defective, not allowing him to see all the numbers and now I am struggling for real trying to get this money back. It's not like we are rolling in dough and Greendot and Walmart are very aware on what situation their customers are in to begin with. I can't get a real person and if I do I get a million different answers. Now I have emailed all of the documents to four different places with still no response. What is wrong with human beings nowadays - I am so sad.

    I am just done with this whole thing. I have had this card for a while. I put money on it to save for a special occasion and when I went to use the card, it was all gone. Someone had stolen the number and used it to buy stuff. I called and the lady was nice, she was very helpful and she started the process to dispute the transactions. I filled out the paperwork and a month later got a letter saying I had gotten my money back. That was the good part. The awful part is that, because of this whole thing, they sent me a new card and blocked my old one so no one could do this again. But, my new one is blocked as well and the money is on the old card.

    I have spent the last three weeks calling every day to try to get through to someone. I can't talk to anyone because my card is blocked and that's all the information needed to know, apparently. The automated system just tells me to send in a picture ID. Why? These people don't know me from Adam. I just want to talk to someone so that they can cancel both cards and just send me my money back. I was originally going to put the money on the new card but this whole debacle has made me decide to just cancel them both. I can find another way to set my money aside for a special occasion that won't have me dealing with all this again.

    Walmart MoneyCard Green Dot card ripped me off for $400. I got some from PayPal wish through won't. Yeah I wish to PayPal at use the PayPal card to Paypal Credit in all kinds of money back and they never give it back to me. Now I can't even talk to no one that don't give me a number to talk to anyone. I have to go online to fill out stuff. It's very sad and then they won't send me the dispute. I signed the dispute letter online like I told me to through the paper and they're not answering me or giving my money back.     Direct deposit goes to card. Had $370 on card. Go to a hotel to pay $360 balance. Card denied. Card denied again. Lower amount to $320 and it goes through. Now we have to pay the balance in cash. Call the card. $370 was taken. Fight with frontdesk who tells us they do not charge for "accidents" and did not charge anything over the $320. Call the card, wasting 2 TracFone cards. They blame hotel. Go back to the hotel desk and I am given hard copy receipt of what was charged... $320. Call the card again, get a runaround that the hotel is obviously dishonest. I ask for a receipt from the card to be sent to my email. Denied. They don't do that. That should have been a tip off. By this point I have spent 1/2 of a full day's vacation on why I don't have my money.

    Not only is my card $50 short, my cash allotment is $50 short so the hotel would keep the room booked, I'm out $40 in phone cards. I'm out $150. Call the card and I am told that rest assured "somehow" the money should return in 3 days. Asked how they knew that? If the hotel presents a receipt, WalMart denies cardholders to the receipts and then a rep tells me they know the money will return... It seems obvious who committed theft. We have explained this story to no less than 20 agents. We have asked for the fraud department and have been told they have none. We have been disconnected by them every time we called. Now the money DID magically return (when we are already home from vacation might I add). Too little too late.

    The agents now say basically... All's well that ends well. NO! What good is it to have money AFTER vacation? Why did you steal and make me lose not only all that cash I could have enjoyed spending (I worked for that many hours), everyone on the trip is now grumpy, 6-7 hours was wasted, we now look bad for having the card declined when the money was there and the WalMart card agent told me to confront the desk (when we did, they showed us the receipt) and BTW, crow does NOT taste good. Today I am told the WalMart services will NOT send me any email in regards to this. Obviously they know they committed fraud and will not put it in writing. I am also told not to complain because the money is back. They also put me through massive interrogation because I want a receipt and they want to know why. Why?? Because it's my money, my card, my account, my loss, and best yet... MY RIGHT. WalMart needs to change policy.

    I cannot "borrow" your money without permission. Illegal. I cannot take your car, wreck it, return it, apologize, and question why you want to press charges. If that is possible, long term everyone in prison would be set free after they apologized. It is only fair that WalMart reimburses us for 1/4 of our stay. Our room was over $500 per night in season. We stayed 3 nights. They ruined $400. The attractions we did not have money to see (because our card was stolen from, and then our cash had to pay the hotel) and the memories we could have made are priceless. Too late to give us the stolen funds when we are home. Parents are older now and who knows if we will ever make this trip as a family again? Let's add the $50 in cash, the $40 in phone cards, the incident at the hotel desk (not less than 6 times).

    All because WalMart needed to "borrow without asking" we are out over $1000, not including memories, our yearly enjoyment on vacation, stress, reputation, no phone minutes until the 3rd of November (let's hope we don't need the phone for an emergency because we will be seeking damages from WalMart), and countless wasted hours on the phone. At least the agents get paid to lie about why they lied to begin with. I don't. PLEASE learn from this. DO NOT PURCHASE A WALMART MONEY NETWORK CARD! We are assuming that if WalMart really needed $50 so badly they had to steal ours, they have to be in some money troubles themselves. BAIL!!! I was assured today from their agent that if I go online I will see the charge of $320 and I will see the deposit of $48.

    Glad she was at least honest enough to admit, 3 days after a ruined vacation, that the hotel only charged what they were supposed to. I'm sure I will see it, I have hard copy hotel receipts, but what they will not let me see is when the hotel charged $360 because it never happened. I will not see who deposited the $48 because I know it was not the hotel. It was from the ruthless criminals that took it and I'm sure those responsible are not interested in leaving paper trails. I know I have proper and accurate recording from the hotel. Put your deposits in a bank. Banks are not afraid of giving receipts, they pay you interest, they are not reported in 16 states about fraud, they are in the states and have branches near you, many will offer incentives for opening accounts, the list goes on and on...

    Ok, so let me tell you. I did a money transfer from my bank to the Walmart bank because they told me it would take two business days to complete a bank to bank transfer. So two days go by and no funds whatsoever. I call my bank and they tell me the funds were already deposited. I call Walmart to see where is my money!!! So tell me why they (Walmart) provided me with the wrong account/routing number and had my funds sent to a card I have NOT had in years!!! I didn't even know this card was still active. So now I have to wait 7 business days to get this card in the mail that I didn't even know I had all because they provided me with old information. Never again will I transfer ANY of my funds into this bank! They don't even have expedited shipping and customer service no help at all.     Walmart MoneyCard froze and wont give me my money. So I'm very upset. Two weeks ago I noticed a lot of money missing from my account spent halfway across the country in California over a month's time. $1890 worth of transactions from 31 transactions. I called and filed fraud charges on the phone as I'm from Minnesota. They said they would put my remaining balance on a new card and after the investigation which I'd assume would last a week would then put the money stolen from me on the card as well. They finally sent me a new card and I can't activate the new card. I tried online and on the phone. Won't let me activate it. So I log in online and it shows my account is frozen with my remaining balance of what was in my account that was not spent or stole.

    Now my huge problem which makes me irate Is I keep trying to call to figure out a solution but I can't get thru to an actual human because my card is frozen. So pretty much I have no way of contacting them with questions about MY money. This is the most frustrating thing ever. Thousands involved between the fraud and frozen money. And can't I activate my new card and have my money on it.

    I called customer service to report my card lost. The rep told me that I could not do this over the phone that I had to go online. So I went online Saturday 10/7/17 to report my card lost and I also changed my mailing address due to a recent move. The next day I opened my Walmart app to check my balance to make sure if the amount I had left. I was unable to do so because it was blocked. My first call to customer service was that following day. I was told my card was blocked due to suspicious activity...

    At this point I'm like, "What suspicious activity, I only called my card in lost and changed my address." However, they informed me that they could not tell me because it did not state the reason why. There is also a language barrier because I was speaking with a foreigner. I explained to the representative that I need my money for gas and food and I defended my money from my card. To no avail I was not given the support I needed and preceded to become angry. So mad that I cried because this is the only monies that I have. I'm a single, full time student. I then hang up the phone. I checked my email and they required identity verification and requested my driver's license. I attached my document but it required my card number. I entered my card number and many times it stated that it was an invalid card.

    So I then call customer service back and explains to her that I cannot send the required information to that email address. She then gives me another address to send. I attached my driver's license and called back as instructed. Now, this representative told me that he could not find it. I told him I sent it and called back as instructed. He told me that it takes two business days to verify. I told him that I was not happy and I knew that they could verify it because the rep before me told me so.

    I was then put on hold. When the representative returned, he told me that my verification failed and my card has been cancelled. At this point I'm very frustrated. I'm in a new city with no money. I called back I think that following Tuesday. Spoke with a representative and he told me that my card was mailed and I will have to call back to have them take the block off my card... I haven't received my card yet and anticipating more drama in the future. This is a complete disappointment to me because I have been with money card since 2013. I have had thousands of $ deposited from school, work and side jobs. And for this to happen at this critical time in my life, transitioning to a new city in Texas, school and now no money is a headache. And every number I've found online to speak to their hierarchy, I'm always rerouted to the customer service. I want this situation resolved like yesterday. As to I will soon be homeless...

    Reason for any review is customer service. I've had Walmart MoneyCard at least 5+ years; it has served me well. Recently, I needed to change my email & have my password reset. I used to call customer service and receive assistance from tech support. Now as a Walmart Money cardholder who wants to change email or cell info, I'm told I MUST order a new card. People change cell numbers and email addresses all the time. In this technology-based age, what customer orders a new card every time a change needs to be made to the profile?

    I can understand ordering new card if it's lost or stolen. Also, why can't the change be done online by completing a form? In the past, this card has served my purpose on many occasions. Ordering a new card isn't conducive to how I'm needing to conduct business for my life simply because I want to make a simple change. After I finish using my next deposit on my card, I'll be contacting customer service to cancel my account.

    I made three online transfers. The first went through with no issue. I got an error message on the second transaction stating the transaction was declined. I know this shouldn't have happened and assumed I entered the wrong security code. I did the transaction again. The same thing happened. I checked my checking account and all three transactions had been debited. When I explained this to the CSR, I was first asked it was a QVC transaction that was declined. I again explained this was regarding an online transfer. Finally she understood it was not a debit transaction I was questioning and proceeded to tell me that the transaction had gone through. She was partially correct, one had gone through. I explained the situation several more times, each time explaining I had received a message stating each transaction had been declined.

    I explained that the funds had been deducted from my checking account so it was odd that the transaction would show as declined. She kept repeating that the funds were not transferred onto card. I knew this. It was why I called. Finally she put me on hold to "check her resources". She came back and told me it takes 24 hours for a transfer to be credited. I asked why the first one went through and why every other time I have done multiple transactions, they all went through immediately. She merely kept repeating it takes 24 hours for a transfer to post. She attempted to tell me that the reason the first transaction was posted was because the account had updated overnight. Impossible as I had made the transfer than an hour prior. I told her I would wait the 24 hours but my concern was that the transactions are showing as declined, not pending.

    At some point she finally understood I had gotten a message that the transactions were declined. She then proceeded to tell me that this was a technical problem and she would have to create a ticket for technical team to handle. I mentioned that I had been saying that I got a message that the transactions were declined since the first sentence I said to her. She said she was sorry. She didn't understand. I haven't had contact customer service often but each time has been a issue where a transaction took, I was charged for the transaction but the funds didn't make it to the account. Each time the situation could have been handle better and more quickly if the person could understand and speak English.

    It seems my card is not fully active and need help with this issue. I have tried contacting customer support via their phone # numerous times and days with no luck, can never access a live person. Not having access to a live agent is very concerning. I have also tried emailing for help via the website and receive a "We cannot process your request at this time". This has been a nightmare with the card and tired of not being treated like a person and tired of jumping through all the hoops trying to get help.

    I misplaced my Walmart Money Card so I reported it lost but I accidentally gave them my new apartment office address instead of my address so I never received my new card. I found the old card and the phone system said I needed to go to Walmart money card documents and upload my license to prove identification which I tried but the site didn't recognize my old card. I have $280 on the card which I need. Please help me resolve this. I can prove identification. I just need to talk to a person. When I try on the phone system it ask for the last 4 digits of my new card which I never received and then boots me out.

    I had a debit card that was damaged on a Saturday night that I needed replaced as quickly as possible. I called your customer service line which assured me I would receive the card by the next Friday but I was so skeptical. My entire financial life is on this card from my paycheck to online bill pay so I paid the fee to expedite the card and worried from the moment I ordered a new one. I had read the horror stories of people waiting 20+ days to get their card, but most people only write a review to complain so all I was coming across was negative stuff. Fast forward to today here I am getting my card essentially 2 business days after I ordered it. I am shocked and so relieved. It got here safe and sound and this company has been nothing but wonderful in my experiences.

    My experience has been horrible. I was told my $500 would be put back on my card within 10 business days. I waited never received it. I called multiple times just to be transferred to everywhere but the right department. On top of everything I was on a wait for almost two hours each call. I asked to speak to someone from corporate. They say they're not able to connect a call to that particular department. Me knowing that's not true I told the representative that was not true and it continued on. I finally got to someone. They said they would have to file a dispute meaning waiting 10 business days so I waited. They denied it. On top of everything else they took 170.00 from me that I never received and that was in February. I thought keeping your money on your card was supposed to be safe yet I lost out on a total of 670 dollars but I'm not supposed to worry about it? This company I loved now sucks. Give me back my funds.

    My card and card number has been rejected by the store, the phone computer, and the internet account help site. I have receipts stating I have $50 on the card but the store will not give it back, or allow me to use the card. Green Dot does me the same way. I am in dire straits, and I need my money returned.     I have a Walmart MoneyCard which was misplaced and just found in September. When I looked at card and saw that it was ONLY valid through 07/17, I called the 877-937-4098 to get a replacement card since I knew that there was still money on card to be used. There was no support representative to speak to in order to get this account rectified. It just had a recording stating that account was closed.     I got a Walmart MoneyCard and they said it would be mailed to me but after 3 weeks I never received it. They cancelled the card and said they would send me another one. I called and they said they would send me another one but it never made it. When I called back they said I needed to download my DL for proof and when I went to download I tried using the card number I had but it would not accept it. I have tried calling them many times but not able to speak to anyone. They have my 300.00 and I cannot find a way to get in touch with and they do not give me complete information on how to get my money back. They keep putting me off by telling me to go to Walmart MoneyCard/document download but it wants me to insert a card number but I do not have one because I never received the card and when I try to call I cannot talk to anyone. So now they have stolen my money and will not provide me a way to get it back.

    I've had an account for 2 years and without a reason or description my account was closed by an automated message and told I would not be allowed to open any other cards with them. My account has been in good standing the entire time and was blocked from even viewing my funds and calling customer service is a no go as once I enter my information since my account is closed, I can't even speak to a representative. No access or help to any money I have on my card.
