    I purchased a Walmart prepaid card. I added my money & registered it. I tried to pay my bills & my card is blocked. I can't get a live customer service agent & I'm having problems with the website! I just want my money, that I worked for!!

    I have had 3 refunded transactions over the last 3 days totaling almost $600 in which is showing nowhere on my account! I have been given incorrect info multiple times, my call disconnected while waiting on a supervisor, and now I was promised a manager call back within the hour and nothing! They tried to say it was because the merchant has not submitted. However the merchant has reference approval #s confirming their acceptance of the funds which was on 6/13. I work in the accounting industry and deal with merchant services every day and never have a seen a company withhold money and then give false information that I know for a FACT is false info. If my funds are not available to me by midnight I will be seeking legal counsel. This is so wrong for a large trusted name company to do to people that live paycheck to paycheck and need every penny of OUR money and they have NO RIGHT to deny access to it!

    My job deposited emergency funds into my account. I got the confirmation email and all. The money wasn't showing in my recent transactions so I called and was told there was a direct deposit delay and that they didn't have an estimated time that funds would be released, but she saw that it was pending. I called this morning and I was told there was never any delay and they don't see my funds. Now my job thinks I'm lying and I'm homeless because of this. They magically lost thousands of dollars. There is a note on the site that says all accounts will be closed August 1 2018, and it's talking about how to get your money back. When I mentioned it to the customer representative they said it isn't true. I just want my money and to close my account permanently.

    Yesterday on June 14, 2018, I was charged double for a transaction and I immediately caught it. I called the place that charged my card twice and they did everything they could to help me and was told it would be up to 24 hrs until my money was loaded back on to my card. So today, June 15, 2018, at 3 pm it has officially been 24 hrs with my money still NOT loaded back on to my card. I called the customer care center. I went through the prompts and was directed to a guy named Adrian. I told him my concerns and asked where my money was as was told I had to wait until the 21st to receive my money back when I was originally told 24 hrs. I then asked to speak to a manager and he DENIED me the right to speak to someone in management.

    I asked several times to speak to a manager and was continuously denied the right to speak to someone in management. I asked if the call was being recorded and he said yes in which I stated then it is being recorded that I have asked several times to speak to a manager and was denied every time. I asked his name and then hung up. I called back and got a nice lady on the phone who did her best to help me and said that I could speak to a manager. She put me on hold three times trying to get a manager but was unsuccessful and put me on the priority list to be called back by a manager. To be denied the right to speak to a manager about my money situation with the card absolutely had me livid. I will be changing to a different bank as soon as my money is put back on my card.

    I've been so fed up with Walmart Money card. I never had an issue till April 27 when I ordered my new card because I lost my card. Somehow between it not being delivered or whatever I have had to order it 3 different times. I do not recommend this card. Go with a bank that can create a card on the spot. I've been paid multiple times and I can't use my money. I've called in multiple times talked to multiple people and still haven't received my card. I've had to buy another card at the store to transfer my money 1 time! They allowed me to transfer for a 1 time courtesy from one card to the other.

    I'm so over with calling in to figure out where my card is. Due to the type of card I have I can't get a tracking number. I can't take care of my own family because they're not send my card and yet they have MY MONEY in the MY account so I can't get it out without first being sent a card to withdraw it. Who knows if they can do their job right to actually send it to me this time. I've been waiting since April 27th my first attempt. They're no help. Talking to them they always say there's no manager I can talk to try to expedite my card. Beware and go with a regular bank. It's a waste of time and they hold your money hostage.

    For a week, I have been trying to get my Walmart MoneyCard to work. There is a "block" on the card and I have been trying to remove the block so I can use the card. There has been no solutions to help me with removing the block. I keep trying to call the "support" number and it has been extremely unhelpful! I need to speak with someone about removing the block and being able to use the card. At this point I am extremely frustrated and have read some very disturbing complaints with this card. No one should have to go through this much to use their own money. I am disappointed with the experience and would NEVER recommend it. Save yourself the headache.

    A couple of months ago I opened two case with the dispute department after I saw some charges that seemed very suspicious and sure enough my card I found out that my card was stolen. When I called customer care they seemed very helpful and understanding even agreed with me as they had seen my previous transactions and noticed that the ones in questions seemed out the ordinary. They sent me a new card and told me by the time I received my new card I would more than likely see my funds credited the account. After opening the case the first time my claim was denied despite sending them all the proof that they needed. They said to expect a letter in the mail pertaining to why my claim was denied which I never received and no one was able to tell me exactly why it was denied.

    I reopened the case and after a month of waiting I was told my case was denied again. I've called various times and have been told they will mail me a letter of the investigation results yet I haven't received a valid explanation of why they keep denying my claim. The customer service agents did not help me at any point other than to send me a replacement card that I was charged for despite this not being my fault. If someone can please help me resolve this issue I would really appreciate it. I just want the money that is rightfully mine back, this is something unfortunate that can happen to anyone and unfortunately it happened to me.

    March 2018 I had money stolen off my card, Totaling about $700. I called & reported those purchases because I didn’t make them. The CS rep told me I had to cancel my card but it would take up to 24 hrs because I needed to get my remaining money off. I received a new card BUT my dispute was denied not once not twice BUT 3 times! I even went the EXTRA step to file a police report & they still denied me! I have been fighting this since March & it is now June & they have still denied me!!! I’m LIVID RIGHT NOW. Basically they told me it’s nothing they could do about it & I need to send in NEW information about the same claims I HAVE been disputing. I don’t have any FURTHER information other than what I have already submitted. I have never went through anything like this smh & I would NEVER file a false police report (IT'S A CRIME)!!! I would NEVER recommend this card to anyone. SUCH A SCAM!!! You're better off with a bank!!!

    This is the absolutely worst experience I've had with one of these prepaid debit cards. I purchased my card last month so that I would have a bank account for my payroll to go to, I registered the card waited for my personalized card to come in the mail and it never did. So I call for a replacement card and when I received the replacement card it had a different account number. By this time my employer has already direct deposited my payroll and I had no access to it. So I call and they offer to send me another replacement card which will take 7 to 14 business days. I received said card. They tried to charge me a $3 replacement fee for a card that I never received in the first place. It's been over a month and I'm still trying to chase down my first paycheck.

    This is absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a prepaid debit card. I can't express how disappointed I am with the company and with the customer service, and I will never ever ever use Walmart MoneyCard again after I finally receive my money if I ever receive my money. I don't recommend anyone ever using Walmart MoneyCard. It honestly is a joke. In short I purchased Walmart MoneyCard so that I could get paid faster a month ago and still haven't been paid.

    I have battled with Walmart's rules and guidelines pertaining to the prepaid money cards they offer and how I've been trying to get my funds from them for OVER A YEAR. I try to do their document upload and I am ALWAYS met with obstacles and when I call their customer service line they tell me to call the number on the back of the money card only for the machine to tell me how I cannot be helped and then am hung up on. I'M so FRUSTRATED with Walmart. I am going file a lawsuit against them... All for 75$ that I have unsuccessfully been able to collect due to Walmart's unprofessional selfish standards.

    I misplaced my card and reported it lost last night. I traced it down today and located my card. I got an email to put in my 16 digit number and send copy of my ID but it tells me my card number cannot be found. I need to get this block removed and I can't seem to speak to a live person when I call the number on back of card. Please help.

    Our card was hacked on 5/26/18. The card was replicated and used in North Carolina. I live in Ohio. They spent over 600 at Lowe's and 21 at a subway. I called Lowe's and spoke with loss prevention and they confirmed that the card was swiped and gift cards were purchased. I took down the name and number of the loss prevention supervisor. I called Walmart noticeably upset because these criminals took food out of my kid's mouth, they wiped us out, so it's hard not to get extremely angry and feel lost. I read these reviews for Walmart MoneyCard and saw thousands of reviews for this same issue and thousands of them said that Walmart MoneyCard did not help them and they never received their money, because of these reviews I had a chip on my shoulder every time I spoke to someone regarding my dispute and I was NOT a pleasant customer to deal with.

    Having said all this I have to THANK Walmart MoneyCard for dealing with me and dealing with my dispute in a timely manner. My money was put back IN FULL after 10 days. It was a rough 10 days but I am grateful to have it back and glad it didn't take longer. I had my ducks in a row and had screenshots of the unauthorized transactions and witness statements to prove we were in Ohio and could not swipe the card in NC. Also showed proof that a purchase was made in Ohio 30 mins before the purchase in NC. Keep a good record and stay diligent if this happens to you. Contact LP from the store your card was used, file a police report, you will have to jump through hoops, but you have to prove your identity and innocence so they know you're not the one trying to pull a scam on them.

    It is very frustrating but if you stay diligent I'm confident Walmart MoneyCard will do the right thing for you. The reason I gave 4 stars, they replace your card and give you new card numbers, BUT your account and routing number stay the same, so to me I feel you can still get hacked through your account and routing number. I will no longer use my Walmart MoneyCard ONLY because I'm not a person who has a savings account. I live paycheck to paycheck at the moment and can not afford for this to happen again, I can not be wiped out of all the money to my name. So l won't be using ANY bank from now on. Cash only. This is happening way too often to EVERYONE whether you have the Walmart card or a regular bank.

    My card was fraudulently charged, the merchant canceled the transaction and the representative that I spoke with when I called my money network card said that they would be crediting my account back the $63. It's been 2 weeks and I still haven’t received my money. I received the new card but that’s it. So I called back and the next rep told me that a dispute process hadn’t even been started so there goes another 2 weeks. Once I get my funds back I will be throwing the card away because that’s poor customer service.

    On 6/5/18, I had went grocery shopping. I remember having my wallet with me when going into the store but upon paying couldn't find. I then checked, went to front store and walked around store to see if either it was found and turned in or if I dropped it. Realizing that I couldn't find it, I then called Walmart MoneyCard and reported my card lost/stolen. It's now 6/8/2018. I log into my account to see they need a ID uploaded to verify it's me, thing is I don't have an ID due to losing my wallet. I can't get one due to my card being lost. Tried calling customer service, it sucks, wouldn't allow me to talk to a representative due to block being on my card. All it keeps telling me to do is log in to my account and upload ID so I can unblock my phone. This is crazy. I been using this service for 5+ years for direct deposits, really thinking about going somewhere else if I can't speak with someone about MY money.

    I submitted a review back in February 2018 about my tax refund being sent back to the IRS. I understand that my husband was not on my account for the Walmart card/Green Dot. But what I don’t understand is why they sent it back to the IRS as fraud. Because of this, we still have not received our return. Lost our car! And very close to losing our home, we have two children to support. The tax refund is for our deposit. I received a call and was credited only $35!!!! I have read all the complaints and seen that many people had the same issue with their cards, either from theft or anything else. I’m still not happy about this, as why couldn’t I be contacted when the check was deposited? Like any other bank would do? I hate to complain, but I’m beyond upset the way the refund was sent back as if it was fraud! With my name being on the return as well!!!

    I recently called to get a new card because mine is broken, the next day I get an email saying my card is blocked. I called the customer service number, put my card number in and it says is your card is blocked, send a copy of your ID and then the call is over. There are no options to speak to anyone, so pretty much they screw you & keep your money. I have sent emails asking if a copy of a birth certificate & social security card would be acceptable and still no response!!! I need a number to speak to a human being!!! Whoever reads this I would suggest not to buy this card!!!

    Mobile deposit - I have been depositing the same check, for the same amount, every month on the same date for over a year now. Every time I have deposited this check it clears in 3 days at the very most. This time you all are holding it for 7 business days for a reason unbeknownst to me. I'm very dissatisfied with this experience and would likely pay a fee at the originating bank to avoid this situation again. I was given no resolution when I called customer service. I did not have the option to cancel the transaction afterward.

    In a day and age where a check can be verified instantly at a Point of Sale, I find it completely unacceptable for a check to be held for this length of time. I understand fraud protection and all the other excuses I may be given regarding this issue. The option to cancel the deposit after seeing the length of the hold would have been an acceptable resolution to me. Maybe consider adding that feature. I could understand the hold if it were the first time I deposited from this paper or if it was for a large sum of money. Neither of these were true.

    I don't use Banks. I have had a Walmart MoneyCard on a separate account for over a decade. I used this one because I cannot switch over another one but I've used to service a very long time and it's never let me down and the new volt feature is amazing. I highly recommended the service and you cannot overdraft if you have that issue like I do.

    The only problem is that they have a limit of money that can be deposited and the limit of transactions that can be made, which I sometimes think of opening a bank account. If there were no limit, it would be better than having a bank account. I think it's great that they do not charge monthly fees if they have enough balance. I love being able to have a place to save like the Stash and reward for it.

    I bought a few Walmart Visa gift cards issued by Green Dot corp. Unfortunately they were compromised. Someone made bunch of unauthorized purchased on these cards. I filed disputes with Green Dot Corp, and emailed in supporting documents as they requested. After not hearing about any decision for quite a while as they promised, I called and was told they did not receive the supporting documents for 2 of the disputes. What's weird is that I sent in supporting documents for all 3 disputes to the same email address on the same day, and one of them was processed properly. They told me to resend the supporting documents for the 2 disputes again, which I did right away.

    Two days after I emailed the supporting documents, I called to make sure they received the documents. I kept getting 'we are experiencing technical difficulties' message for over a month. Finally today I used a different card and was able to get through to a live person. She told me both disputes were declined because it is over 120 days! And I never received a letter or email on this decision!! This is absolutely ridiculous!! I want to talk to someone who can help me get this resolved ASAP.

    Have had MoneyCard for over 5 years and loved it until last week. Have always used Same Day Reload option, but suddenly without any notice it has disappeared. On my transfer funds screen there is only the standard bank transfer option (which by the way costs me the same as Same Day). Have had nothing but problems setting up standard bank transfer system... large banks are miserable to deal with. Will have to find another debit card. Why did you do this???

    I purchased this card for my daughter to take on her middle school trip. I wanted to be able to add funds to a card in case she needed more money while gone. After researching we went with money card as it was reloadable unlike the gift cards from the bank. We got the money card, put funds on it, and registered it. Now it is saying it could not verify my information so it will not allow me to reload nor allow her to get cash funds out at an atm. I have tried every possible way to get a live person on the customer service line to no avail. I emailed support and it said it could be days to get a response. We do not have days. Horrible customer service! I will never get another money card from Walmart!

    I purchased a Walmart reload card for my son. When setting it up the verification check came back incorrect although correct information was entered. A agent advised me that a permanent card couldn't be issued and the card could only be used directly in stores. No online purchases and it was ok to use. My son went all the way to Orlando on his end of the year field trip with a locked card unable to purchase anything and I can’t even speak with a live agent to rectify the problem.     On 5/29/2018, I returned a few items to a merchant ($665.50). I did not use this card to purchase the items. So on 5/31/2018, I called into the customer service number and spoke to a rep. She informed me that they have received the credit from the merchant and my balance was reflecting the refund, however my account is frozen because they cannot verify the company. (small business) She requested I take a picture of the receipt. No problem. I understand to a point, so I emailed the photo of the return receipt with all of the requested info listed below the photo. No call from anyone (keep in mind I had attached contact email and phone number). When I got home hours later, I called again to check the status and after 45 mins on hold, I was finally able to speak to someone. She gathered my information and asked how she could help-I filled her in and she said she was going to investigate and put me on hold for an additional 45 mins.

    When I was finally greeted again it was by an entirely different person who asked for the same info as before. I again filled her in on the situation and she informed me that they needed the original sales receipt. I asked to speak to a manager, informed she is a supervisor and no manager in the building. I asked multiple times how to remedy this- "Send pics of the original sales receipt", she stated (these products were purchased by my family members for me as a gift and not affiliated with the card). She stated I could not get my money until then-even though they have the money credited and sitting in my acct.

    I asked her to return the money to the merchant so that then I could just do another onto my actual bank card and she stated this is not possible. Therefore they have my money but will not release it. I complied with the request, got reprinted copies of original sales receipts and emailed them to the email address provided by rep. at 10:00am, It is now 9:34pm and I am still sitting on hold (2hrs. 17 mins) without a rep answering the phone. I have bills that are due and am in dire need of this situation to be remedied-ASAP, however I have not received that from this company at this time.

    I bought a Walmart MoneyCard card and put $100 dollars on it to pay for a nursing license renewal. I get a message that states they can't verify me. I have had the same address for 2 years now, but they can't verify me. I can only use the card for in-store purchases. I can't use the card to renew my nursing license and now I must pay extra money to the tune of $50. to get my nursing license because the due date has now passed. Great job WalMart! I will never use another one of your cards again and I will make sure none of my family or friends ever use your card again. What a waste of money and time!

    Two months ago I opened a case with the dispute department after I saw some charges that seemed very suspicious. Sure enough I had lost my card. When I called customer care they seemed very helpful and understanding even agreed with me as they had seen my previous transactions and noticed that the ones in questions seemed out the ordinary. They sent me a new card and told me by the time I received my new card I would more than likely see my funds credited the account. After opening the case the first time I was told the case was close to expect a letter in the mail with why my claim was denied. I reopened the case and after a month of waiting I was told my case was denied again.

    I've called various times and have been told they will mail me a letter of the investigation results yet I haven't received a valid explanation of why my claim was declined. I've been with Walmart Money Card for 10 years on and off. The only reason I had a 2 year gap was because my previous employer paid in paper checks. I love the features of getting paid 2 days earlier and the text alerts the same alerts that alerted me my card was being used. If someone can please help me resolve this issue I would really appreciate it. I just want my money back. Things are hard as it is and to not have that peace of mind anymore is unfortunate because I loved this card.

    I am an American citizen living in Tijuana. Recently I'd used the card for transactions and Atm withdrawals- until a couple of months ago. When I'd ask customer service why that was the case I was told that the card could now only be used in the United States. This was not a problem as far as I was concerned but I wanted to know when this was the case and why was no notice given. The customer service representative gave me no clearer answer. If you don't want to lose me as a customer some resolution would be nice. I will pursue other financial options but do not want to.

    My daughter received this card as a graduation gift. When trying to activate the card it required her SSN. She hung up and asked me to try it for her, which I did. I was met with the same requirement, my SSN. I find it odd that this is a requirement for a gift card!! I decided I would take it back to my local Walmart store to exchange it for a different type. I was told they could not do that and that I should have realized the requirements when I purchased the card. I explained we didn't purchase it, it was a gift to my daughter AND nowhere on the package does it state that a SSN is required! I find this to be a money making scheme on behalf of Walmart because people are not going to want to give over their SSN for this therefore Walmart just gets to pocket that money. My daughter is now out the $25 gift since Walmart is unwilling to exchange it for us. HORRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!

    I don't know if this will help. I had my card put on hold for strange activity. I got no notification or anything. I was on the phone all afternoon and was basically told I would have to wait 2 business days for my id to be verified. I have sent copies of my id to the fraud department. I don't see why my money has to be held hostage for 5 days. This is Friday. I was told it takes two business days. That means I have to wait the whole Memorial Day weekend plus Tuesday and Wednesday. I cannot afford to wait over the holiday weekend plus two additional days. Please help. This has been a major inconvenience and your phone support was hardly any help.

    Had this card joint account for 6 months. SSI deposits every month the same. Deposit for May 25, 2018 generated a block on my account. Never had an issue before. As I'm reading, many people are having this issue this month. Being told after hours on hold, to send copy of my ID. After doing so, I spend the rest of the day on hold to make sure they got it. I'm told not yet after dealing with this for 6 hours. That when they get it, takes 2 business days to review. I let my mouth get the best of me and made a promise that this company will no longer be in business once I'm done. They pulled this on a Friday right before a holiday weekend. I won't have my money for a week if it goes well. I have no money as it was all on that card.

    I'm going to find a way and bring this company down. Filing every complaint and lawsuit until I get my money, withdrawing it and closing this account. I will never recommend their services. I appreciated the business until this. They've lost my business. Anyone that would have ideas to get this resolved or would like to join my fight let me know.

    Do not bother with customer service or hold onto any hope of getting frozen or lost funds back! Read the multiple other reviews on the subject... all the same. Fraud, freezing of funds without reason or notice of any kind. I used my card to receive my pay from work and all was fine until last week when I went to pay my rent and found out my card was frozen due to any number of things depending on who you spoke with. After sending my identity verification numerous times still nothing. My money is stuck in some void and no one is willing to help. This caused issues you can't imagine! Come on Green Dot. Get on the ball! This is truly and utterly ridiculous!

    Have had my Walmart MoneyCard for about 4 years. I ordered a new card about 3 weeks ago, it never came. I reported it as not received. Shortly after my account was “blocked” and my direct deposit was withheld.     Purchased Wal-Mart MoneyCard recently and uploaded a large amount of money up there. For unknown reasons my card was blocked... When I called the number in the back of the card it told me I needed to verify my identity by uploaded a picture ID. As soon as I loaded my ID, I went to recheck my account only to find out my account has been canceled. When I finally got to a dispute department to figure out why my account was canceled and where my money was they told me my ID [that has my name, address, and state ID number] could not be verified. I asked them why it could not be verified and multiple customer service reps said they could not give me an answer.

    So I asked where is my money and what I could do to fix it. They told me my money is gone and I could not get it back... They claim to have put my number in a database for someone from corporate to call me and try to resolve the matter. Have not received a call. This has brought a lot of pain and suffering to my life as I have a family to feed and bills to pay. I'm left confused. HOW CAN YOU CANCEL MY CARD. GIVE ME 2950. NO EXPLANATION AND STEAL MY HARD EARNED MONEY. What's really sad is that apparently I am not the only customer that is going through this and yet this company is still operating but I will not give up my money without a fight.

    I have file several dispute on people stealing my number. Each time they don't do a thing about it. I have had several hundred dollars taken are paid them to get it back. I been with them for 10 years and never but a few times have they actually got my money back. Don't go with this card. You will lose more money than you have. This month alone someone stole my CC no.     I had a Walmart card for several years with no issue. Then in December my account got hacked. It took 2 weeks to get my money back and new card. Then May 3rd with my new Walmart card got hacked again. I was actually in a Missouri Walmart when it happened. I started getting text saying that I was buy things in California. I go to the customer service and was showing the lady the text as they were coming in. In a matter of 5 minutes I had almost 200 dollars charged to my account. I had about 1000 left in my account and told the lady I wanted to withdraw my money fast before I lost it all. For some reason she couldn't withdraw it all at once and had to break it up into 3 separate withdraws charging me 3.00 per withdraw. So I had to spend 9.00 just to stop somebody in California from stealing everything.

    The lady gave me a number to call to report the fraud. I called them reported all my disputed charges then mailed the claim form they told me I also had to fill out. They told me it would take 10 days again. Yesterday the 22nd 19 days after I had originally called I still had not gotten my money back. So I called got a lady who barely spoke English. She said the transactions were pending when I originally called so they couldn't do nothing until they had actually posted. They had posted on the 4th. So she retook all my information (BS I had to regive it all again) and told me I had to send another claim form even though I already had 19 days ago. She also told me it would be another 10 days before i got my money and new cards. Hands down the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

    I don't know what the deal is with their security and why so many people like me are reporting charges from California. It's crap in a case like this. I had to pay the 9.00 to get my money out of my account. It's crap they have done nothing to help me recover my money or tell me there was a problem processing my dispute. It's crap I can't talk to somebody that speaks good English to resolve this issue for me. I'm behind on my bills because of this. I am taking late fee penalties from the bills I need to pay that I'm sure Walmart will not refund me for. So besides what was stolen from me and the 9.00 to withdraw my money I am also looking at almost 30 dollars in late fees from my bills. I have never talked to a lawyer before in my life, but this experience has me wanting to contact one to see what kind of legal action I can take against them. It's not right to treat people this way.

    I have been a card holder for quite a few years - 5 I think. Loved banking there. A month ago, I lost my card, reported it, requested a new one. Within 2 weeks of activating new card, there were fraudulent charges. I immediately reported it, followed steps to dispute charges on the account, withdrew money remaining in account, cancelled card, requested a new one. New card arrived, I waited awhile to activate card, again within a couple of weeks, there were fraudulent charges. They wanted to send a new card, I no longer feel secure with my money there so I tell them I want to close the account.

    I'm told to charge balance and once account has a $0.00 balance, it will be closed. Within hours of that conversation, another fraudulent charge of $20 (a pending charge). I spend the remaining balance, get a message the account is officially closed yet there is a balance where the fraudulent charges have been refunded, yet I have no way to get the money.

    I have had the card for a number of years. They are convenient with low fees... however... they are no helpful when trouble arises. I have had fraudulent charges 3 times on my card. They eventually fixed the first two but I had to go weeks with no access to my money while they changed account numbers and issued new cards. This last time they denied my claim and called it authorized even though I reported it quickly and the purchases made were nowhere I had ever shopped before and all the way across the country. To fix it they want me to provide documentation for purchases I did not make in the first place. I am looking for a new account and will be cancelling before my next deposit occurs.

    When I first registered, it was a regular process until the end. After submitting, I got a error page telling me to try again or call. When you call the number you have no possible way to get to a person, only a robot. The only other way to contact WMC is by physical mail which is only foolish. I wrote this review in hopes it would be addressed by them digitally here. Looking at other reviews, it usually takes a month for them to respond and that probably means I'll get robbed of another 5$ before I can even use the card. They don't always respond, either. The robot informs me of the balance on the card, also telling me of the 5$ that was taken off because of the monthly fee. It wasn't even a full 24 hours I had the card. Almost no kind of service anywhere imposes a monthly fee from the jump. The robot also seems to behaves as if I have an account. With this loophole I'm not really sure if I do.

    When I attempt to login with what I knew I registered with, it is always invalid. When I attempt to use "forgot username/password", it tells me that I haven't created a User ID. When I try to register again it tells me that my account is activated and ready to use. When I attempt to use the card online, it always tells me to contact the card holder, meaning it's not activated yet.

    The main thing that makes me absolutely livid is that there is no immediate way to contact any representative. Because of this the robot is absolutely pointless in my regard. The only way I can contact WMC is by mailing them literately across the country from Atlanta to Pasadena? But if you think about it, how are you going to help me if the system isn't even certain of the accounts existence or the card's status of being activated or not? The initial registration tells you to use a email, and I did. I got nothing in the email, probably because of the error page. I assume this is all a bug in the system over set up crookedness. I will go to higher forces if it is not solved as I am also even more livid from not being able to meet my personal time constraints due to unavoidable absurdity.

    Flexdocdownload won't accept my card number: My card was frauded and then locked. I thought locking my money up was a good thing. Until I could not upload a picture of my ID, it keeps saying, "We are not able to find the card with the information provided." And now it has been 3 months of calling customer service and no one seems to care. They won't let me speak to a supervisor and then transfer me over to a dead line so I can wait an hour, the worst customer reps ever. It so frustrating. It makes you want cry, ESPECIALLY WHEN GREEN DOT CONTINUES TO TAKE A MONTHLY maintenance fee FROM MY BLOCKED ACCOUNT!!! Each month my account gets smaller. Can someone please tell me how to fix this before my account gets any smaller? I would greatly appreciate it!!!

    It all started when I placed an order for a replacement card. I submitted my photo ID so the current card that I have could be unblocked in the meantime while I wait for my new card. Per the Walmart MoneyCard secure website it would take 2 business days in order to verify my ID. Yesterday I went to check the status and was shocked when I was advised my account had been completely closed... reason: the AUTOMATED SYSTEM could not verify my ID. Customer service was over the top rude and basically told me it's nothing that they can do. I have my direct deposit coming to this account and now run the risk of falling behind on bills and getting the things that I need for my daughter. I am so disappointed in Green Dot Corporation.

    Why is there an AUTOMATED SYSTEM VERIFYING IDS?!? Why isnt there a specific department that handles these situations when they arise. From all of these reviews I see I am not the only person that has gone through this. You guys are messing with people's money and way of living. It's almost like a scam. You guys have a copy of my photo ID and then close my account. It makes no sense.

    I've had a Walmart card for OVER 10 years and until recently I never had problems, but now approx 2 weeks ago I had fraudulent in store charges made in Commerce, CA. I live 2000 miles away in Georgia. It started with a small charge at 24 Hour Fitness then ramped up to hundreds of dollars at Carter's & Lacoste. As my money was disappearing before my eyes, I ran to the closest ATM to get what was left of my money & my face on camera to prove I was nowhere near California. According to Wal-Mart MoneyCard website they can credit your acct if it takes longer than 10 days--I was just told I didn't "qualify" for that. I wouldn't even call what I have had customer service...I've been laughed at, screamed at, hung up on, and on hold for over 2 hours.

    There is a stigma in using these types of cards & I believe that is why we are easily dismissed, expected to wait an exorbitant amount of time to get ANY feedback, and forced to extreme measures to get our OWN money back. It is more than obvious there has been some sort of data breach. I have read over 50 of the exact same complaints. We may need to come together and speak with someone that can help us.

    I have had my card hacked three different times in less than two months. The last time was on May 5th for over $400 total between three different locations in California. I called to put in a dispute and emailed the form and was told they denied my dispute and wouldn't tell me why over the phone since they closed my dispute but there was a letter in the mail explaining why, which I still haven't received. The day before was charged from NJ which is where I live then the next is California then the next NJ again. I don't understand why or how they could deny it. Anyone else here deal with a denial and know what I can do to get my money back?

    We have had money stolen off our card twice in the past year and it's almost impossible to get it returned to you. We literally had our new cards for 1 week and made a deposit on Mother's Day morning, we used our card a few times that same day we went to pick up some dinner that night and someone had already taken our money. I called the 800 number the next morning and was told the card was used in CA and NV on the day of deposit. I live in SD and have never been to either state and my husband and I both still have our cards so they weren't stolen or lost. I don't know what kind of scam this is but we are really tired of it.     I have been using the Walmart MoneyCard for 7 years and in the last 3 weeks I had to have 2 new cards that I had to pay for because someone used my cards. I contacted the company that the card was used because I live in West Virginia and the charges was in California and Texas. The companies told me it was an international ring using people's card, I gave the customer service and the dispute team this information and they accused me of lying. They refuse to give my money back. Also refused to give me information to contact corporate. They just keep telling me that I will hear something by 11:59 p.m and I am told that on a daily basis.     I noticed fraudulent charges on my account May 2nd 2018 totaling 300 dollars. Called their customer service phone number. They cancelled the card. I disputed the transactions. Sent me new card. Never used. New card waiting on direct deposit. Card was hacked again. Cancelled card. Paid for new one again. Payroll was deposited. New card came. Took everything off the card but 40 dollars at the bank. The card was hacked taken the 40 dollars off the card. Got a message on their account page that my dispute was denied and they would send me a reason in the mail telling me why. Never received anything in the mail. I had this card for 6 years without a problem and now this. Nobody in their customer service knows anything except to cancel card and pay for a new one. Any suggestions.

    Updated on 06/27/2018: Well after my review Walmart MoneyCard said they would be reimbursed in one business day. Watched my account and the only thing they did is credited me for a card and charged me for a new one. Got the new card and no extra money on it. That’s their way of reimbursing me for the 400 dollars that was stolen from my card.

    I've had a Walmart Debit card for some years and it was recently compromised by scam/theft. I called to freeze card and a replacement card. It arrives and they now say I have to send them proof of my identification. I didn't have to do that prior times. So I don't have an ID and they say they cannot give me my money or unblock the card without me sending them a photo ID. Bills went overdue and my money has been in limbo for weeks!     Happy to announce that my issue was fully resolved by Walmart Moneycard. The advice that I will give is to watch your account daily. Any card can get hacked it’s just unfortunate that it was mine. As I stated in my complaint, I’ve depended on this card to help me restore my credit rating. I have been using it since around 2012 and not one issue. I’ll carefully continue with my money card and hope that everything is fine. The company quickly resolved the problem.

    I am wondering how exactly my account was compromised? The first time it happened 5/8/2018, I quickly notified you that someone made purchases. You sent me a new card. Charged me $15 for quick delivery and $3 for the card itself. A week later, after just two purchases, the card you send was also compromised. I feel that the account itself was compromised because I had set up alerts and never received any when my card was used for the 3 unauthorized purchases. In fact, all the alerts had been turned off. I am wondering how all of this happened? Also, if I had my card in my possession, how did someone make a debit purchase? I never write my pin down, or store it anywhere electronically. I am questioning myself as to whether this Walmart Card is trustworthy?

    After all of this, I don’t have a lot of confidence in the company to keep my money safe. The sad part is I’ve been with this card for at least 8-10 years. This whole ordeal has hurt my pocket and has hurt your credibility in being a great business. However, for the last 8 years this card has helped me establish and maintain a great financial standing. I was always talking to my friends and family about how wonderful this card has been. If and when I get my money back I'll have to think about whether or not I will extend another opportunity to this card company.

    I attempted to pay bills and retrieve money off my Walmart card on Friday May 18th 2018 and my card was declined stating it was an old card that shouldn't have been in use since a new one with a different expiration date was apparently activated. The card that I was using was deactivated without giving me a heads up putting myself in a jam not being able to pay my car insurance and receiving a flag for not having insurance and unable to withdraw cash to pay a bill...     My card was used to make fraudulent purchases and also money was withdrawn from my account using my card without my knowledge. Somehow someone took all the money out of my account using my Wal-Mart MoneyCard, they left me with ZERO. I called Customer service immediately. They said I had to fill out a dispute form and it would take 16 to 20 days for them to review the fraudulent charges. I had no money left in my account and they make you wait 16 to 20 days to review. I called them at 18 days and there was a recorded message that said my dispute was denied. Wow, SHAME on you Wal-Mart and Green Dot Bank for making me wait over two weeks just to tell me I wouldn't get any of my money back that was STOLEN by fraudulent use of my card. Horrible customer service, worst experience I've ever had with any bank card. I recommend not using Walmart MoneyCard, unless you don't care about your money being stolen.

    On May 10, 2018, I visited a local convenience store (Michael 16 Carthage, MS) ATM, where I tried to withdraw 120.00 plus was charge the ATM fees, totaling 125.00. The problem was that the ATM never dispensed none of the money. I immediately called Walmart MoneyCard account specialist who kept giving me the stalling speech, and pretty much never heard me as a customer, to help speed up this process for reissuing me or crediting my account back money that I never received; but was placed on hold for long periods of time, and was told that no supervisor could resolve this issue. Frustrated, I was.

    After being a long time customer with Green Dot Walmart MoneyCard, I never experience such an horrific customer experience. Please help on today, 05182018, I was told by an account specialist name, Patrick who said his I.D. number was **, that there was no supervisor that could assist me. Please also know that an 1-800 number for the ATM carrier was provided to the dispute department on 05152018.

    Updated on 06/19/2018: I file a dispute on an ATM Transaction on May 11, 2018, and the Account Specialist says the dispute can't be resolved until June 25, 2018. Imagine that? I visited a local ATM at a convenience store. The ATM Machine didn't dispense my cash withdrawal request for $120.00, and 123.00 was taken out of my account. No provisional was issued as a courtesy, and I have been a customer for many years. #Unhappy & Frustrated.

    On May 7, 2018, I contacted Walmart regarding 3 unauthorized purchases made on my card. 1 from Carl's Jr. which is a Fast Food establishment. The other 2 purchases were at Circle K. These transactions all took place on 5/7/18 (same day) in the vicinity of CA. After explaining the issue to the Walmart Rep, I was told I need to wait until May 15th, after the payment gets posted then, they can investigate to see if it was authorized me. Um hello, I'm in Hawaii. How can I have authorized these purchases which clearly took place in California. I then called back later to have block placed on my card. A new card was sent. I have not been able to contact a human person since. My new card arrived so I tried activating it and got an error message. At first, tried contacting the number that was printed on the sticker on the new card. It then asked me to call the number on the back of the card. Still unable to be connected to a customer rep.

    The recorded message just goes around in circles. Very frustrating. I sent 4 e-mails to Walmart and no response after which they said they I would receive a reply within 2 days. I was finally able to get a recording on 5/17/18 saying that my account was closed and I can now spend the money in the account. And was also told I could not get another card with their company. How corrupt is that? That leaves the 3 unauthorized purchases not subject to investigation. How many people will continue to get victimized. We are all honest and hardworking individuals and this is the treatment we get? Well, my last action was making an online purchase from Amazon to clear the balance in the money card. Let's see how that goes. I'll be back here making another complaint if it gets rejected. I have lost all faith this establishment. Who needs the stress and humiliation.

    On May 4th while at work, I noticed that my balance on my card was very low. I know that I didn't use my card and I didn't have any automatic transactions set up, so I went to look at the transactions and realized a lot of transactions out of California. I immediately reported the card through the Walmart MoneyCard website and submitted a dispute of the charges. I was told that it would be 7 to 10 business days no later than May 18th.

    In the meantime, I was calling in between to check on the status and was told I would hear something by the 18th. I called TWICE. So today, the 18th- I called this morning to see why I haven't received anything yet- I was told that my claim was DENIED. I asked why- the lady told me that I needed to submit SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS!!! I asked her what do she mean? She kept REPEATING I NEED TO RE-SUBMIT MY CLAIM WITH SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS... meaning a POLICE REPORT!!! I said, "A POLICE REPORT???" Well why was I NOT TOLD THAT the other times I CALLED??? I told her how I am diabetic, I haven't been able to get my medication because of this, the money that was stolen was also my bill money which I explained when I FIRST FILED. At this point I was upset! I asked to speak to a supervisor- the lady HUNG UP ON ME!!!

    I had a Walmart card for 10 years and until recently I never had problems, but now approx 3 weeks ago I had an in store purchase of 97.00 at a Footlocker in CA.

    Stopped card and got new on which was hacked for 5.99 before I even received it, then stopped that card and received a new one yesterday evening in mail, I called and activated it then put it in wallet and woke up this morning and it had a charge at a 24 Hour Fitness early this morning for 20.00. I haven’t even used card yet and stopped it again, by the way, I live in Tennessee. They denied on the 97.00 because had no proof wasn’t me, I called them and told them to look at purchase prior to the charge and right after which was 7 hour apart and explain how I could use in Tennessee and an hour later use in California then use in Tenn a half hour later? They say they will review again, but think, if they had # and knew when I authorized it on phone then used early that morning??!

    Someone with access to that info has to be getting it or they have a major security breach in the auto system. They never attempted to use the card 'til it was activated. And did it within just a few hours. So beware now. They're using California business to drain your $$. If new card does the same I will have to go to a whole new card. Because either Green Dot or Walmart has big problems.

I’d the person using card in store and they said it’s illegal to cause considered profiling, in California... Then I had new card sent and was used same day it arrived in Tennessee in California, I called and they replaced 2nd amount for 20.00 but sent me letter saying will replace 97.75 on first purchase... but blocked my card and said would not replace and said I was lying about letter, I have it in hand. Then said be back on in 7 working days.

    Now day 12, called and they said they set up call with corporate for next day, no call, set up 2nd and no call, I have 64.00 on card and for 8 years had my Soc Sec sent there and I asked did I need to change to new card and told they didn’t care what I did, but they would look at my problem when they had time, and not before, waited til to late to stop deposit, but it dispose to be kicked back then I will receive it in check and will move my direct deposit to new company card... But they say because of suspicious activity and for my own good... but only funny activity was the unauthorized use in California... But they seem like a good countermeasures don’t matter. Guess we don’t.

    Also there are several horror stories on the web about it and when I tried to get # to call Green Dot bank myself they blew a fuse and said I had to deal with them and “hung up “ on me... Sorry but that’s my $$ and I see a class action against them is getting ready to be filed and guess I better join it to get funds and damages. Cause it’s messing up all my bills from rent to food and they pretty much said not their problem... But I did find out that is a legal route to take. Just think after 8-10 years they would treat you a little better.

    The Walmart MoneyCard is a bad idea and not worth the troubles. I had to dispute a transaction. I was able to get my funds back. I explained to the representative I was in transition and I would follow up to request a replacement card once I had a new valid address to send the card to. The representative stated that was fine. However, Walmart decided to send a new card to the address I told them I was no longer at. I was able to purchase a mail ad at UPS so I requested a new card be sent. It has arrived but I still have been unable to activate. I ended up having to get a weekly room. I used this account to have my paycheck deposit onto. I was without money for a few days with obligations to handle. I had a friend with a Walmart MoneyCard so I used the feature send money to place funds on his card to obtain my daily necessities such as food, shelter and transportation. Walmart blocked my card due to suspicious activities.

    I have been trying for the last week to verify my identity by uploading my drivers license, however, the website keeps saying the information is not legible. I am following all the requirements and still have not been able to gain access to my account. The Walmart MoneyCard has created financial hardships for me although I have money. There is no live representative to talk to regarding my issues. Have not received any type of email back after sending numerous inquiries. I really believe this could be considered unfair bank practices towards a consumer. I’ve had over $4,000 placed in this account through my employer and my benefits program. I was using the funds to pay off old debts and progress my life forward. For Walmart MoneyCard to consider my actions suspicious is ludicrous. This card has done more harm to me than good and there is no one to advocate on my behalf. PLEASE HELP.

    I will Never be using Walmart MoneyCard EVER again nor will I use Green Dot bank. I had my card information stolen and I filed a dispute. I sent all documents in via email on April 19th. Over 600$ taken. Mind you that really hurt me. When I originally called I was assured that in 10 business days after sending my documents in that my case would be resolved. I have heard nothing from anyone. No one has been in contact with me given me an update. Nothing. I called today 5/16 almost a month later and again and told by a girl who could barely speak English and did not understand me at all that it takes 7 business days. Then she would say 10 business days. Then she said it takes 7 business days and another 10 so both 7 and 10.

    I asked for a supervisor. She did not want to give me a supervisor. She was very unprofessional. Placed me on hold then came back on the line and tells me there is no supervisor I can talk to. I told her I would gladly wait. I then eventually got transferred to a supervisor named Lori and was told they can't reach a merchant and they extended my claim 45 days! Yet no one had contacted me to tell me any of this. Since a lot of my unauthorized transactions were done online I don't see how they can not see these are fraudulent. I am very upset by the way I've been treated and ignored because it doesn't matter to them. It's not their money so therefore they do not care. I have never in my life dealt with such a horrible company.

    They truly do not care about their customers. And the best part they are still charging me a monthly fee yet they can't even put my Money back someone stole from me. I was told the 22ND hopefully I would get a resolution. I don't want a resolution. I want my money back. This is a sad thing that these people treat you so horrible. I have gotten behind on bills. I have children. I need my money back. At this point I'm going to speak with a lawyer and go from there because I have no confidence that on the 22ND anything will be resolved. DO NOT GET THIS CARD. THEY ARE A JOKE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Her name not mine so clearly it was fraud. There was a purchase and in store pick up at a local Walmart again in this person's name and they want to deny my claim? How's can they deny something that's clearly fraud. I call back in to dispute it yet AGAIN and I get put on hold 47 mins. This is horrible customer service. I will never use the Walmart MoneyCard again. I will never shop Walmart again.

    I have had a Walmart MoneyCard and used it for direct deposits over the last several years and every year for the past 4 or 5 years I have had fraud committed on my account. Someone makes purchases in cities and states I don't live in! I call Walmart MoneyCard to have it disputed and it takes 10 days for them to credit the money back to me. And then they take a week to send me a new card and want to charge me a delivery fee for a new card! Horrible service and protection! The operators tell me I have to wait for the fraudulent transactions to post before I can file a dispute and a traditional bank would never make a customer wait so long before being credited back money! Never bank with Walmart MoneyCard. I closed my account. I will tell anyone who listens to avoid Walmart MoneyCard. Worst service ever!!! I will be writing many more bad reviews because people should know the Walmart MoneyCard is NOT SAFE.

    On April 30, my Walmart MoneyCard account was hacked for approximately $500. I called, filled out dispute transaction form. 10 business days later my account was credited $75.     My card has been blocked since March 16, 2017. The card remains blocked til this day. I have sent in my information numerous of time. Representatives are very rude. They hang up on me avoiding to answer the question why the card remained blocked after I have sent the information.     I have the Walmart MoneyCard app on my phone and on April 26th I checked my balance and it was lower then it should have been. I noticed there was a transaction from Lowes in Richardson TX. I have never been to Texas and don't shop at Lowe's. The transaction had the store number beside it so I googled it and I called them. The store manager said there was nothing he could do. I got off the phone and I called the number on the back of my card. I was told I needed to wait until the transaction posted before they could do anything. I was informed they would close my card and send me another one and when the transaction posted to call back.

    That Sunday April 29th I received a text message about a $30.00 purchase. I go to the app and I look and someone in Compton Ca has spent 2.20 at 7 Eleven and $30.00 at 7 Eleven in Norwalk Ca. I immediately call the number on the back of the card and I am informed that the card was not closed as requested, they are sorry but since the transactions were in pending I would have to wait to dispute them but they could put in the dispute for the $20.00 transaction from Lowe's. They promise the card is now closed and to call back as soon as the transactions post. Wednesday May 2nd the charges have posted and I call back. I am transferred over to a so called fraud specialist and they put in a dispute.

    On Friday of that week I receive an email stating that a card was sent out but one I received it that I would have to provide proof of my identity in order to use it. I check my mail on Sunday of that week and I receive the card. I go back to the email and follow the instructions to provide proof of my identity and within 2 hours I receive an email saying everything was verified and the card was ok to use. On Wednesday the 9th I call to get a status on my dispute and I am told I need to send in a dispute form and once they receive it it will take 2 business days to review. This is done and I wait. Then this Sunday May 13th. I look at my account to see if my money had been refunded but instead of a refund there are three new fraudulent charges. $9.65 from 7 Eleven in Compton Ca, $6.21 SIM*MINI RIDER PA 717-540-4376 and ENC*CALL FR3476998397.

    I call the number on the back of the card immediately and I am transferred around and finally they put me over to the so called fraud department. The lady states she is a supervisor (I didn't ask to speak to one), she is rude and basically tells me it is what it is. She says it will take 45 days to do an investigation and they won't even start that until the charges post. I tell her to close the card and she tells me if I do that they can take 60 days to do an investigation and an additional 3 weeks to send me a check. When I say I am in total shock. I ask her if I can speak to anyone else and she say, "No you can not. I am the supervisor and keeps repeating this." She tells me if I want to speak to someone else to call the number on the back of the card. I tell her that is what I just did in order to report the charges. She then says, "Oh well" and gives me I am hanging up on your speech.

    I tell her that I'm not done speaking to her and to not hang up the phone. I ask her some other questions that she does not answer, and then request her name (Lizz #**) she repeats to call the number on the back of the card over and over and I finally hang up. I try to call back and it just routes me right back to her. This morning I look and the items are still in pending and I was also charged $3.00 for a new card. So I'm down more money, I don't have the money back from the first set of fraud charges and I have to keep an eye to see when the new ones will post. I have had this money card account for years and when I say I can't wait for this to be over so I can get rid of it. I will tell everyone I know DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

    I have been using the Walmart MoneyCard for a couple of years now. I never had any problems, until recently when I paid my rent online with a preauthorized check. I preauthorized $1001.85 to be deducted immediately for payment to my landlord. I thought everything was fine and my rent was paid until I got a call from my landlord stating my check bounced! Now I have $1001.85 missing and Walmart Money Card isn't doing anything to find it. Apparently they do not back up the consumer in a situation like this one.

    My landlord shows my check bounced and they never received my rent. Walmart says it was paid and they will not investigate further. I don't know where my $1001.85 payment disappeared to. I don't know what to do to find it either. I filed a dispute with Walmart Money Card and they denied my dispute because they say they paid the money to my landlord. The landlord still shows insufficient funds from where I paid with the preauthorized check.

    3 weeks ago my card was used in Texas. I live in Montana. It said it was used as a debit that requires a pin... I put a stop on it and ordered a new card. I got my new card last week and used it yesterday. Even I checked my balance this morning, it had been used as a debit card 3 times at gas stations in California yesterday also!!!     My Walmart MoneyCard has been hacked twice. Once in April and again in May. I called customer service as soon as I saw where someone in California was using my card. I live in Georgia, some 2200 miles away. Customer Service asked if I had my card, which was in my hand when I was calling. Then she asked where I kept my PIN for my card. I told her it was only in my memory. My first attempt to reclaim my money has been denied.

    The denial letter stated that I had authorized the charges. Again I called Customer Service, this time unbelievably upset. After asking to talk to a supervisor, I was giving a new claim number and was told to get a police report and refile my dispute. As I was re-submitting my denied claim of $281.83, my account was hit again for over $1750.00. There were over 11 charges ranging from $.50 to over $688.00 and 10 denied charges between May 8 and May 9, 2018. One even gave the reason of invalided PIN for the denied purchase.

    I called Customer Service on the 9th of May and she told me to file another police report and get any proof that I was in Georgia at the time the charges were being made. Walmart Money Card did nothing to contact me either by phone nor by e-mail. I told Customer Service to cancel my account and please send me a check for the remaining money that was left in my account, and today another Walmart MoneyCard was sent to me. I will not be activating the card and have the last of my money taken. Shame on Walmart MoneyCard.

Anyways few weeks later, my dispute is added to my account that does not have a card attached to it??? Idk I didn't just get a check... I mean the $ is rightfully mine! I have no idea what to do.     I called Walmart Money Card because my card was locked due to fraudulent activity. At that point in time I had not even activated my card because I was waiting on my tax money to be deposited on there. So I let the representative know that my tax preparer kept calling me and asking for a copy of my ID which seem weird to me being that my taxes were already filed. I didn't understand why she would need a copy of my ID. The representative I spoke with said not to worry that my account is Frozen right now and I needed to provide them with a copy of my ID front and back.

    They also said that I had reported my card lost or stolen. I let them know at that point I never reported my card lost or stolen and they said not to worry. Once I provided them a copy of my card front and back that they would close that account and send my money in the form of a refund check so once I called to verify that they got the copy of my ID they said they did get the copy of my ID and that the account was closed and I should be receiving a refund check within 2 weeks time. I called in a couple of weeks later to confirm that the account was closed or another representative assured me that the account was closed and not to worry that the refund check should be there within two weeks time from the date of April 7th.

    So April 16th I called again to let them know I still haven't received my check in the mail. That's when a representative told me that they never close my accounts so two Representatives had already told me that my account was closed but they never close my account. The representative I spoke to on the 16th further told me that three transactions had been on my account. The three transactions totaling a little over $3,000 all together so the representative told me that I would have to send a copy of my light bill, another copy of my ID and the copy of my card front and back and that she would have to file a dispute for the charges on my account and the dispute would take up to 10 business days.

    I waited 10 business days just for them to say that they denied my dispute. Keep in mind that my money was safe when it was locked on the card before they had me provide them a copy of my ID. I let them know that somebody else was trying to steal my identity. They told me not to worry that they will close the account once I sent them a copy of my identity. Two representatives of two different days told me that the account was closed. That was before my funds were stolen.

    My funds was stolen after I trusted the representative and sent them a copy of my driver's license and they turn around and deny my dispute and tell me I would have to open another dispute and wait another 10 business days for them possibly to denied that one too. This is unheard of. People work too hard for their money and have bills to pay for a company to allow people to steal other people's money. I can't get in contact with nobody further than the supervisors that keep giving me the wrong information. Also I don't know where else to call but I do know that I need my money back asap.

    I had a $30 dollar unauthorized charge on my card so I called the number on the back. The agent said he would send me another card but failed to tell me the new card would have a block on it. I was then asked to email a copy of my license. It said it would take 2 business days. It is still sitting at the same status on day number 8. I trusted them with my full direct deposit at my job. Now my rent is late, insurance is about to be late. I have no gas. My friends and family are keeping me afloat. Thank god for family and friends.     My account was hacked and I have been waiting since Saturday, April 28, for them to credit back my account. I have called and have followed every procedure they have asked of me. It took me filing THREE disputes to even get their attention. When I called about it, they had no record of my dispute! So I proceeded to resend the email about ten times to them with all of the dispute transaction details correctly filled out. However, they REFUSE to refund MY money! The hacker was in California, and I am in Mississippi. Plus the card is in my name, female! A man was using it. This company is horrible if you have any problems whatsoever!

    I have a Wal-Mart Money Card. It has cost me so much of my hard earned money to keep this card. I have had my account hacked numerous times and every time it's me that suffers. Wal-Mart will ignore your calls and give you no hope as to a solution to your problem. I had my account hacked and when I called Wal-Mart to complain and stop my card they treated me like a criminal. Have not once responded to me about the money stolen, that I reported, while it was happening, but just blew me off, blocked my card, and I don't have any money to eat, pay bills ETC.     Someone recently stole my card number and purchased almost 600 dollars in charges. My first complaint is no one is apparently watching transactions on the card. I live in Texas and the charges were out in California. No one bothered to call and verify with me. My card was blocked after I called to let them know and now when I try and call them I can not get thru on the customer service line. I feel like I am getting punished and no follow up whatsoever is going on with my complaint as I have been clearly violated and mistreated as a customer.

    Frozen account?? 3 months - My boyfriend has had his card for quite some time. He used it for direct deposit and also his taxes. But of course it's always something was there his card. He has been locked out of his card since February. We are at this point facing eviction, all our bills backed up and it's all bad from there. How do you continue to do this to people who trusted you with their money? Do you understand we are about to be put out our home? Can't buy food, clothes, because all of our money is on that card.     I have called customer service 4 times and no one there understands what I'm asking. The last time I called I asked to speak with someone in charge or at least someone who understands my question and can give me answers. The last person on the phone told me no, that I did not need to talk to a supervisor. He wanted me to explain to him again what my issue was. All I got was silence on the phone and I said, "Hello. Hello. Is anyone there?" and he said back to me the all wrong stuff that I did not say to him.

    He finally told me he don't know what I'm talking about and said he would pass this on to someone else in a message on my account.     I have had my WALMART MoneyCard hacked twice in the last four months. Never mind the security and pin numbers that I have. This ties up any balance on my card and requires three weeks to recover any money stolen. I only wish that someone upstairs at WALMART will read this. They allow their name to be affiliated with Green Dot and I am just a number and a name on a card. The lady that I called tried to help me by canceling the card and closing my account. Then said my balance would be sent via a check in 3 weeks and any recovered money later. I had to call back in 3 weeks if there's no action taken. I assured her that she was sitting at a desk with a manual and that WALMART did not even know who her or I was. What a shame.     I have used the Walmart MoneyCard for years and I just changed over my SSDI direct deposit to the Walmart Card. When I went to sign in to check my balance I was met with a message saying my account was blocked pending further review. I spoke with customer service who informed me I needed to send a photo of my ID front and back. I did and was then told I would be contacted within one business day. What a scam!     I would give no stars my the customer service. I had my card stolen out my car 4/29/18. Call in was told don't worry another be sent to me by 5/4/18. Everything was good. I went on to my mobile app make sure nothing was unusual and went to bed to wake up to email saying my account was blocked because of fraud activity. I try to call could not get thru. Then I had purchase another card to get thru to be told I need a ID to get blocked off but it was stolen last night and I had a direct deposit coming on 5/1/18. I needed card unblock until I got the other card. They told me could not do anything.

    Now my funds will be rejected and take up to 6 weeks to get back. How I'm supposed to pay rent and car if there was no reason to block an unissue card I have not even got yet an error in their system but can't fix it and told me nothing they can do. I ask to speak to someone high told me was no-one. How do you guys get away with this? If would have read all this before I would not put my direct deposit on here period.

    In February of this year (2018) we purchased one of these cards at our local Walmart for our daughter who lives in another state. She provided info and received a card with her name on it. When she went to activate that card they requested proof of identity, which she provided twice. Green Dot, who issues these cards, said they cannot prove her identity. She scanned and then took a picture of her driver’s license but I guess this wasn't good enough. There is NO way you can talk to someone as it is all automated. I am about at wit's end with these people. Walmart has been useless too. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General’s office as I have read the numerous complaints of these people. To top things off, they take $5 a month fees unless you put in over $2000 on the card. As my subject says, run. Don't walk away from this scam.

Advice to people going through similar expirence, just get a copy of your license or ID as soon as possible. As I lost my wallet with my ID in it I cannot do this and I need the money still in my MoneyCard account to buy a new ID. Super frustrating, I have had the account for years without this happening. I feel like this is a scam to close out my account and take the $300.00 dollars left in it. Every time I try and call customer support I am unable to get to a live person, it just tells me my account is cancelled and to upload a picture of my ID THAT I DO NOT HAVE!!! The MoneyCard website does not have an e-mail address and the only other way of contacting them is through snail mail.

    My husband had his direct deposit at his new job sent to his Walmart MoneyCard. He had recently ordered a new card because the old card kept getting random fraudulent charges. The customer service rep was very nice and expedited delivery of the new card with the assurance that his direct deposit would not be disrupted. Payday was today. Magically he didn't receive a deposit. When we called to inquire we were informed that there was a block on the card and he needed to send in identity verification. Until then the money would be held.

    After sending the requested documents we called back in to the customer service number. Thirty minutes and three transfers later, we were hung up on. The next call resulted in us discovering that they have now closed the card. We are now left with no recourse to get the money that by all rights is ours. We are now officially screwed. Patience is a virtue we cannot afford when our bills are due and our money has been held hostage! Lesson learned. Don't do business with shady corporations.

    I have been using the MoneyCard for a long time and never had any problems. I recently signed up for direct deposit and had my entire paycheck deposited on the card. I live paycheck to paycheck and need access to my money. I tried to get gas yesterday and my card wasn’t declined. I had at least 700.00 on the card. I called the automated system and was told my card had been blocked for suspicious activity.

    I finally was able to speak to a person that gave me an email to send my ID for verification. I was told by the representative that as soon as they received it and verified the ID that the block would be removed. I was told that by the next day I would have access to my funds. I had to call in to work today because I have no money to put gas in my car. I just ran out of formula for my grandson and I have no money to buy him anymore. I called the 800 number again and waited 30 minutes to speak to someone and was told it will be another 2 days before I will have access to my money. I am going to lose my job and I am currently trying to gather up enough change to buy some formula. This is a joke and the customer service is a joke. No one will help me. I did nothing suspicious to cause them to block the card.

I’ve been emailing them since it happened and never received a call from corporate.     At first I loved working with Wal-Mart MoneyCard. It always came in handy when I was in between bank accounts. On April 17, 2018 I made 2 separate transactions at the Wal-Mart on McCart in Fort Worth. On April 18 around 7:45am Central Standard Time I attempted to log in to the money card but out said my card was closed and to go on to the website for past transaction history. I logged on to website but was unable to get information of why my account was closed. I sent email also on the 18th to customer service since I could never get past the automated system to speak to someone regarding my account. I received two automated responses on the 17th saying it would take 1-2 business days for a response. Today is the 24th and I have yet to receive a response and I still have money on the card that I do need to be able to provide for my family.

    I did a mobile deposit of $700.00 on 4/17/2018. It took 5 days to put it on my card. I got an email saying it was deposited on my card. I went to withdraw money off my card and it said unauthorized transaction. So I called the number on the back of my card. They told me that my account has been blocked due to further review. They told me that it was blocked due to suspicious mobile deposit. Could not give me more information. That was on Friday 4/20/2018. Today I called. They told me they blocked my account due to suspicion of check forgery.

    I have never forged a check in my life. My father in law loaned me money. The check has cleared the bank and they took their monthly fee out of the $700.00 but no one can give me information on when or how long this will take to clear up. One lady I talked to told me usually 24-48 hrs and was surprised no one has asked for more from me to prove it’s not forgery. I have never used this card and after this is cleared up I’ll never use it again.

    For the past 22 hours I have been unable to move money from my vault to available balance. This is MY money and Walmart claimed that I could move it to my available balance whenever I needed to. Now I am without my funds. I’ve been hung up on by “customer service” and I had a stranger buy my dinner last night because I was not able to access my money. Green Dot claims there is maintenance but that is unacceptable. We were not notified of this “maintenance” and that it would not allow us to have access to our funds. In my opinion this should never happen for longer than a few hours. There should be backups and systems in place that prevent this. Other people have reported they were unable to access their money as well. This is not ok. We work hard for our money and we should be protected from these issues.

    This was my original Facebook post: I do not normally make complaints but I am sickened by the Walmart Money Card customer service. I DO NOT recommend this card to anyone. They don’t care about their customers and they are allowed to blow them off and hang up on them. Tonight around 9 pm I began trying to move my balance from my “vault” and continued to to receive an error that the transaction could not be processed. I tried for a half hour with no luck. On the website version it said I had reached my transfer limit for the day but when I went to look at my previous transactions, there weren’t even any transfers!

    Finally I decided to call customer service. I get someone who doesn’t even seem to know what the vault is. She tells me to wait another 2-3 hours to try to move the money (MY own money that I should have access to 24/7). I’m sitting in the middle of a restaurant unable to pay my bill and she’s telling me wait 2-3 hours! I stupidly left my other cards and cash at home because I figured I had plenty on my Walmart money card to pay the bill. So this lady gets back on the phone tells me, “You can only transfer the money on the desktop version" and HANGS UP ON ME!!! First off that’s not accurate information as I have transferred money hundreds of times through the mobile app and second who the ** hangs up on a customer?! Really Walmart? That’s how you want people representing your company?!

    So I call back and the next lady tells me there is nothing she can do and that I’ll just have to wait 24 Hours! I’m still sitting in the restaurant unable to pay my bill! I ask to speak to a supervisor and she tells me they don’t have a supervisor on the weekend. Ya right!!! What company doesn’t have a supervisor available (At least on call)? I left the restaurant in tears after a kind stranger paid for my food. I was embarrassed and extremely upset with the way this situation was handled by Walmart. I may not bring Walmart a ton of money but this is literally the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

    In this day and age you can’t afford to treat customers this way. They will just find another company who cares about them. Three hours later I am still unable to move any money out of my vault. I am so disappointed in your company and I will never forget how bad your company made me feel. A customer should never feel ignored, scammed, helpless, or unhappy. Wow! I can’t believe this.

    I tried to transfer my money from my vault today and it stated that I exceeded my daily limits, that was the first time today I had tried to transfer money. I called customer service to get help and she stated that the system was down. Try in a couple hours. That don't sit well with me because that's all my money and I need it now. This is ridiculous that you can't get your money when you need it.

    This prepaid card is a joke. It has excessive ATM fees in which it specifically states on the paper they mail you that if you go to certain locations including Walmart there would be no ATM fees. Communication with this company was horrible. I had to call 10 times one day just to speak with an American as requested. This was because someone supposedly in corporate decided to take my call. I have a big problem with a company that shuts down my card without notifying me in writing or giving me a logical explanation. I called but was given some excuse about there was no explanation. This company can't be trusted. They lie about the excessive ATM fees and lack of having American customer service representatives. They illegally shut down your card without notification. This was very inconvenient considering I had to find a way to feed myself. They should be sued.

    I have been dealing with the poor customer service with Walmart MoneyCard and they have failed to resolve my issues. $956.63 that was taken from my account by the supposed merchant (Airbnb/PayPal) you all tell me to send screenshots to their support and they send me screenshots back proving that they never received the money. So WHERE IS MY MONEY. I file a dispute because it was recommended and it was said that it would be completed by the 19th, I call and today the 20th and still haven't gotten any resolve/answers to where my money is and why it's not back in my account, the only thing they ask is for me to wait longer.

    It's bothering b/c the communication is horrible and this is not how you conduct business when people's money is involved. I am trying my best not to bring any legal matters into this but you all are leaving me no choice!!! I have screenshots provided by both merchants: Airbnb and PayPal that proves they never received the money and that it was automatically denied. I've waited the amount of time that was asked and still no answers have been resolved. All reps do is pretend like they care just to get you off the phone and hang up after minutes of waiting on hold. Please help resolve this issue before legal matters get involved. My impression on Walmart as a whole is not what I thought! I just want my money!

    Updated on 04/23/2018: I filed a dispute on 4/6/2018 and it was promised to be completed by 4/19/2018, I called 4/20/2018 and Walmart MoneyCard said "yes it was suppose to be completed and they were going to reach out via email to you all to have it rushed" (which I'm starting to believe phone support will tell you anything just to get you off of the phone)!

    Ripoff central! DO NOT GET THIS CARD! I've had this card for almost a year and right before I was due to collect the 75.00 they give you annually for no overdrafts... guess what? An overdraft... an amount reflected on my balance ALL week and then the day before I'm scheduled to get the 75.00, I'm magically overdrawn for an amount of a transaction I made earlier in the week that reflected on my balance all week! And then to top it off I get to speak to Habib who barely speaks any English, they aren't going to fix it and I'm gonna be charged 74.00! ** this generic piece of ** card, I had reservations when I opened it and once again I should have followed my gut feeling and didn't.     As of April 10th 2018 I had called customer service about my card been used. I have her all my information and she told me that my replacement card will be here between 7 to 10 business days. So I called again yesterday and a different person told me I should received it April 19th which is today. I still haven't received it... and now they telling me they just process it yesterday and I have to wait 7 to 10 business days which would be the 30th. I have bills to pay and I'm pregnant so I been without a card for a week. When I told them, "Can I speak to a manager," he told me there's no manager there.

    I have had my card for years. Never any problems. But 2 days ago someone from a different state took $800 off of my account. I have my card and nobody knows my pin so I have no idea how this could happen in the first place. Anyways I called to cut off my card and dispute the transaction, called back yesterday to check on things and was informed my card was never cut off. So again tried to cut it off. Also went online myself to report stolen. Awoke this morning to the rest of my money being stolen again from the same state that I have never been to. Called CS again to be informed my card still hasn't been cut off. Why is this when I have called 3 times to cut it off. When I call everyone says the same thing. So now I am missing another $400 on top of the $800 that was stolen from me all because no one turned my card off.

    If only the original owner was still alive then maybe just maybe the deplorable greed wouldn't be so vast! Scenario: Transaction placed on the 11th of April 2018. Merchant did not process transaction. Problem: Here it is the 19th of April 2018 and funds show pending. Spoke with Merchant and informed the funds were deducted from account. Yesterday, I spoke with Customer Care of Walmart and informed the same and told funds would be returned to the account by tomorrow. Called Walmart MoneyCard this morning and still no resolve. Informed they are having technical issues and it should clear within twenty-four hours. I expressed my lack of acceptance and requested immediate resolve. Then placed on hold several times to eventually hear a voice recording telling me to put in a dispute ticket. Again, WALMART SUCKS and I demand my $146... Returned immediately!

    So I got to Walmart card because my wife is in Hawaii and that's the only way we can send money back and forth while she's there so I bought a Walmart card at Walmart. I came home and I called the number. They said it's easier to do it online so I just hung up and I went to the website. I proceeded to enter my information as it asked and at the end of it it said that they cannot proceed because my identity cannot be verified so am like, "Great". And then it tells me to try again so I do it all over again.

    I enter the card number and it tells me that the card number is already active. That I need to create a login account so then I created a login account which it asks you for to put the card number in and when I did that they said, "We are sorry. This card is already active" so there's no way I can receive money or send money. There's no way I can even use my card but when I call the number on the back of the card it tells me the balance on it and everything else but it just doesn't let me get in my login account 'cause this is a "can't verify" and then it says to register my card registered. Is very frustrating that there isn't a live person to talk to. It's all automated service and then it just hangs up on you. There's no customer service and it's the worst customer service automated service I've ever dealt with. I'll never buy another one.

    I have been using Walmart MoneyCard for yrs. I moved and lost my card. So I changed the address using the app and put in for replacement. They locked my acct for sus behavior. Had to wait for replacement card to verify ID because I needed the 16 digits on front. While I was waiting my taxes were sent and the company blocked my deposit. Now 3 mos later the IRS has to trace where my money is because they never received the return. When I called all they could say was it was returned. And no corporate number to state my issue to just reps who don't know how to fix the problem.

    They lied. Said I can make immediate online purchases. Couldn't. Couldn't get money back. Went to ATM. The ATM ate the card then called to get a new one. It never showed so I call every day to fix it. They don't help at all then they get rude. I get rude. All the sudden my cards blocked due to unusual activity. Don't know how. I never got a card so I send picture of ID and still nothing. No help and not only that now they have me on some kind of list where they put me on hold for a hour and a half to 2 hours. I don't get how if someone did this on the streets they would go to jail but they literally stole my money and won't give it back to me and there's nothing at all I can do about it.

    An absolute joke. This company’s customer service needs to be trained on knowing their job. I have spoken with 12-15 different people so far after my account was blocked without notifying me. I was told to send a document. I did and it was received. I was told it would be unblocked within 24 hours. The stories go on and on. Here it is 3 days later and no access to my money. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone.

    Horrible card!!! Please for the love of your hard earned money do not use this card! I got the Walmart MoneyCard as an alternative card until I had some free time to go to the bank. Someone took my card and used it, naturally I called and let them know what happened. Things seemed to go as normal. They said "we'll send you a new card in the mail, upload your ID to the website" dot dot dot. Did all of that, new card comes in, I call and ask if my ID has been accepted yet. They told me, "No. We closed your account and we will mail you your check." They gave me no heads up, they would have let me run around in the dark had I not called!

    Called 3 separate times received 3 separate answers. The last call I made I finally got a real answer. I asked for an email verification that these are the steps they will be taking. Walmart MoneyCard told me that sending me an email to verify they will indeed be sending me a check in the mail for my $934 was not possible. I'm pregnant and broke without transportation or food. I'm walking to work and back home with no food, thank god I am sneaking snacks at work. I'm taking Walmart MoneyCard to small claims court. I do not trust Walmart MoneyCard at all and I'll let you know if that check comes in the mail. I'm hoping for the best but I'm making my case early, just to be on the safe side!

    I have been using the Walmart MoneyCard for a few years. I reported my card lost on the 30th, and as soon as I received the new card in the mail I have not been able to access any of my money. I have about 1500 dollars on there and have not been able to talk to a real person to get anywhere. They say I need to verify my ID, and every time I put the pictures on, using their guidelines, it reads that it does not work and is illegible. I just wish I could talk to a real person and get this straightened out. Once I do get it straightened out I plan on taking everything off it and going with a different card from a different company. I WILL get every last cent that is mine.

    My card was blocked 2 months ago. When I called customer support to unblock my card they told me there was suspicious activity on my card because I loaded 200 dollars to my card. I was told by some foreign lady that there was nothing I could and I would have to wait for their investigation to be over with. After about a month I called back and now it goes straight to a machine saying my card is blocked and could no longer use it, but yet I'm still being charge every month. I need my money for bills and they're refusing to return my money.

    2 weeks ago I submitted to Walmart dispute forms for 5 fraud transactions on my account. They say it takes 10 business days for the dispute to process. I have called within in 10 days excluding weekends and I’m repeatedly told by different reps they never received my dispute form. Email them again. Another week of emailing dispute forms. Two every day to ensure they get them. Boom another rep says, "We haven’t received anything." I’m not sure what to do. My card is closed, the dispute was called in two weeks ago but can’t be processed because they keep saying they haven’t gotten my documents when I’ve sent them 10 plus times. Why should I use a card where I can’t dispute transactions without having the runaround?

    Ronni my rep . amazing even though I got extremely furstrated she worked on it an personally gave me her word she would.     My tax prep lady who did my taxes had my taxes to be deposited to the Walmart Card. When I told her in Feb I moved and haven't gotten a card I had another one sent out. Two days later they blocked my card. Accepted my refunds this month. When I verified myself with birth certificate, military ID, SSC, they took 7081$ and won't give me my money. I have lupus and heart issues. I need my heart meds. I don't receive welfare. Run me my money.

    Hi. I cashed my refund check at Walmart. Loaded $2000 on my prepaid Walmart money card. I paid my car note off my card in the amount of $397. That payment was successful. Soon after I tried paying my utility bill of $249. It was declined. Then I got this disturbing email saying my card was blocked due suspicious activity. So I stated that I needed to verify myself. So I sent in a copy of my passport 4 times, each time they said it wasn't legible. So then I was told to send it straight to their email IDVgreendotcorp.com. I did that & remind you this all took place on April 2018. I called on the 5th & I was told they had gotten my documents & they've attached it to my file.

    I was told that the block will be removed from my card within 24-48 hours. I’ve called I know over 20 times. Each representative told me something different. My utilities went off on Friday Thanks to this company. I had to stay at my neighbor’s house with no food or money over the weekend. Plus I have custody of my 2 grandboys 11&9. Shaking my head. SHAME on this company for robbing people & putting them in horrible situations. I'm seeking legal counsel if this is not resolved soon.

    I rented a truck from Budget and they placed a $150 hold on my card. After returning the truck my card was charged for the total and the hold was released. I've spoken with Budget a few times and they gave me a hold release confirmation number. I spoke with Walmart MoneyCard customer service and the lady I talked to said my funds won't be released until May 21st, that will be over 2 months for my funds to be available to me. How does this even happen when the company that placed the hold released it 2 days later?

    A note to potential customers of Walmart Money Card: In August 2017, my account was accessed by an unknown IP address in New York, and 20 min. later by an IP in San Bernardino. I am a resident of northern Nevada. Within several days just under $6000 in on-line purchases were made withdrawing everything except $1.60. No plastic card is needed to make on-line purchases, just the cardholder name, number, and expiration date. Once discovering the loss I immediately notified Walmart MoneyCard, closed the account, and filed a claim. Well of course, their investigation determined the charges were all “authorized” because if they were “not authorized” they would have to reimburse me for losses within 2 weeks. That is what the agreement with and the VISA logo on the card is supposed to represent, confidence that your funds are protected.

    I went through the lengthy claim process, reviewed the files, filed a police report, and sent several letters to their dispute resolution e-mail address. After reviewing the charge information I was able to clearly show the charges were not authorized and with the caller ID information was able to identify a suspect, unknown to me, in Victorville CA. Several letters later and still no response from Walmart MoneyCard for over 6 months. I recently filed for the binding arbitration as described in the cardholder agreement. Green Dot Bank is supposed to upfront the cost of the arbitration. Again, no response. Of course, I have attempted to call them but since the account is closed, I cannot get through the automated system. Of course, I have e-mailed them but the result is always the same, no response. Guess no response means, you’re out of luck.

    I suggest you review what other customers have to say and you will find numerous posts discussing unauthorized access to accounts where perpetrators changed passwords and challenge questions to lock the cardholder out of the account. While the cardholder is trying to figure out what is going on they drain the daily maximum from the account. So now, you have been informed of the risk, if you intend to maintain a substantial balance on your Walmart MoneyCard. Happy trails.

    If I could give a zero I would!! I’ve have had a Walmart money card for about 6 years or so now. Never had a problem out of it until here lately. So, on 3/23 I was looking at transactions & seen someone had spent $1425 from my card. I called the customer service in which had to make them keep repeating what they said but I could barely understand what they said. I explained to the person and he told me that they couldn't do anything since the charges are “pending.“ To call back when they went through. So later that same day they finally went. I call back yet to get another person who seems to barely speak English. Told she was deactivating my card and I would be charged 3.00$ for a new 1. Asked which transaction I was disputing and I told her of 5 different ones and she asked me 3 different times if I authorized them which I said NO!!

    Was told to go online and file dispute transaction forms and email them and that my money would be placed back on my card within 10 business days while they did their so-called “investigation”. So today’s the 7th still no update or money so I call back to get told, “Oh well our team did their “investigation” and said the charges were authorized. That you made them.” Well obviously if I authorized them I wouldn’t be calling ** about where my money was!!! All I get is, “Ohhh so you didn’t authorize these transactions?” Really lady!!! I told lady on phone 2 weeks ago 3 different times they are NOT authorized!!

    Tells me they closed that case but she can file another dispute and do the same process over again. So, from the looks of it I’ll never see my 1400$ again. Rip off **. Beware of using these people who give you the runaround and take your money and claim you made the transaction when clearly I didn’t!!! They will steal your money and you’ll never see it again. Take your business elsewhere if you’re smart!!!

    Called on 3/17 to dispute fraud which they told me 7 business days. They credited me back on 03/22 7 of the 9 transactions I sent them. I called them on 3/28 regarding the other 2 and they tell me they were on the 1st form that I sent them and made me do another form and file a case the same day. These two transactions were also made with the same companies from the 1st fraud report that they didn't do correct the first time. It's now 04/06 and they are telling me they will provide more details on 04/11.

    I need my money NOW!!!! And why is this taking longer than the first one that wasn't done correct, also the last man I spoke with kept talking over me saying my dispute was completed and told me to stop talking... Really? I then tell him there is another case open, he breathes heavy then ask for that number? I was so polite while he was rude. I am waiting for Monday to call my lawyer because apparently his assistant told me this is very common with Green Dot Bank... Stay away!!!

    I really have had no problems with Walmart's MoneyCard, until now!!! I have had two unauthorized charges show up on my card. Called to get this taken care of, and they simply will not do anything for 7-10 business days, meanwhile, my money is tied up. I was on hold waiting for a so-called customer service rep for over 20 minutes. I think there is only two. Well, they are no help.     I lost my card and called Walmart MoneyCard to replace. I was in the process of an address change so my mail is being reordered at the post office, I notified them of my new address. However I received a message that I need to log in and upload my driver's license to prove my identity. I was confused because I just spoke with the rep Isaac about this.     After having a large direct deposit sent to my Walmart Green Dot MoneyCard, I was able to make two purchases. Next, my purchases started to get declines so after calling customer support I was told by an automated system to go and verify my identity online by uploading a copy of my Identification. I went online and submitted a picture of the front and back of my card. 10 minutes later I was told they could not verify my identity and have closed my account. I have tried all day and can't get through to a human. The automated number keeps hanging up after telling me my account is closed. I have a large amount of money that I now cannot access. I am a single father and have many bills and obligations and cannot afford to lose my money.

    I have been a member for two years now. I recently decided to check my balance and transactions and realized that over 1400.00 has been spent in the last few days at Sam's Club, Lowe’s, Tabuki... in NEW MEXICO and ARIZONA, when I live NOWHERE near those places. You allow these people to steal all of that from me, but yet you have NUMEROUS customers whose cards you are locking due to “suspicious activity”. No sense of customer service. I waited 20 minutes to speak to someone who wanted to rush me off the phone and over to the automatic system to listen to “more information”, that informed me that I STILL HAD TO DO A FORM.

    After all of these posts about suspicious activity not being resolved, I have no faith that I will get my money back. 1464.37 of MY MONEY NOT PROTECTED BY WALMART MONEY CARD. Do not and I repeat DO NOT trust this bank or put large amounts of money in it. I am not the first to get ripped off by these “Lowe’s” and “Sam's Club” transactions and NOT be notified. I wish you would’ve locked my card and asked for an ID like you did all of your INNOCENT customers!

After activating new card & trying to use it my account is frozen & I send photo of my ID. They took longer than 48 to unlock my account.     I need help. I have a Walmart pre-paid visa money card I purchased from Wal-mart. I register the account they send me back one with my name on it. I begin to use it. All is well. Then I put a large amount of funds on the card. To use to buy stuff on internet, I begin to use and after two purchases, I get an email stating Card is blocked and closed. I go through the steps to unblock card. I had to take pictures of driver's license front and back and send it in. Then it tells me my driver's license is not acceptable and will not work.

    I then call the number on the back of the card and it tells me, "We were unable to verify your documents, this card is closed. Goodbye." I have over $500.00 dollars on this card that is closed and cannot get any answers, I send in all the info that I was told to do. Which really doesn't make any sense anyway, being it's a pre-paid card that I put my own money to begin with. No verification was needed at the time I purchased the card. I now have been using my time for the last day and a half to try and fix a problem caused by using my card, CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME ASAP.

    I've only had this card for a few months. Now all of a sudden when 3,000 is deposited it's suspicious activity. My card has been blocked for 2 weeks now. I have a 1 year old that I need to buy things for. I have rent I'm gonna be late for now. They told me to send a government issued ID that's valid so I did and they didn't accept it.     My husband got a MoneyCard a few months ago to start our vacation fund...well we have no access to about 800 dollars because he never activated his card and did not ever receive his actual card. All he got was a temporary number. He has called and they keep telling him that without a card number there is nothing that can be done.     Paid cash for this Walmart Prepaid Visa card. It has never worked. Walmart will not refund my money. All they do is say "There is nothing we can do, you have to call the phone number on the back of the card." Called that phone number and after on hold for 20 minutes I was connected to someone who barely speaks English and did nothing to help.

    Updated on 05/14/2018: Ripped off by Walmart-Green Dot day number 49. They don't care if the card works or not. Call the number on the back of the card, then the lies begin: "Sorry for the long delay, but I need to place you on hold again for just a few minutes... We will be sending you an update in 1 business day... I do apologise that the refund check was not sent out... What you need to do is send us a picture of the front and back of your card and your ID and your receipt, then we will send you a check in 2 business days." I keep calling them about once a week now, but nothing ever changes. They promised me a refund 4 times and I received nothing 4 times. Today will be attempt number 5.

    Updated on 05/21/2018: Today Green Dot/Walmart MoneyCard finally paid up, I received the refund check today. So it is possible to get your money back, just call them about 15-20 times and wait 56 days and the check will be there.

    I have been using Walmart MoneyCard for well over 7 years. I had three accounts. I recently went on vacation to Hawaii and I am in the process of starting a business. While there I needed to transfer some money to my cards to place a 25% deposit payments on my Ritchie Brothers account so I could buy a trailer.     For years I have been using your Walmart MoneyCard issued by Green Dot Bank and never had any real problems until recently when I sent an email dispute form in because someone has used my card number without the card in a city on the opposite end of the state from where I live. And Green Dot handled the dispute and refunded the money back to the account. But that isn't the issue. I was not notify that they had closed that card number down basically blocking off access to my the money on my account. And after waiting a week for a new card to come, which just came today. I come to find out I was sent a NetSpend Card. Which doesn't interact or transfer with my original card.

    I have $977.72 on my Walmart card account I can't touch to pay my bills or feed my family especially as our jobs direct deposit directly to the card. You basically have locked me out of my account. Realistically you have stolen from me. And as your customer service is automated options with no real person to talk to I am stuck running through hoops. NetSpend cannot do anything to help because it isn't one of their cards. I call your Walmart stores and they just give the number on the back of the card to the automated services switch puts me back at square one.

    I WANT MY ** MONEY! So if you respond to this you can just call me ** and explain to me how this is even happening or why it is this complicated to get **. At the very least you damn sure better explain how you are going to me my money and reimburse me for this ** I have to go through. Like trying to explain to my power company why I can't pay the bill this month, or hope my car doesn't repo'd because I couldn't make my card payment. Or explain to me what the ** I am suppose to do to feed my kids because my grocery is locked away me right now. Waiting to see your response. I sure it will be generic as your customer service.

    Just tried to access my card via the app on my phone that can only be accessed with my fingerprint and it tells me my account is blocked. Doesn't say why or anything like that. Not quite sure how this is possible considering I never called to report any suspicious activity on monitor the card on a daily basis and I haven't reported any kind of activity at all yet they block it due to suspicious activity. Now I have my car insurance coming out tonight while the card is blocked with all my funds on it from my direct deposit and my insurance is going to be sit back.

    I'm going to get a returned check fee. My insurance is going to get cancelled. I'm going to have to do an early cancellation fee and then get my car insurance all back up and going again because of this stupidity. So what happens when my car insurance is cancelled and my coverage lapses and then I get into an accident and have no insurance because of all this? This is ridiculous and someone needs to fix this right now. Not in 2 days right now.

    I recently lost my card and after reporting it and finding I would be waiting at least 7-10 business days for any kind of access to my money I spoke to a rep over the phone and she told me that I could go to a Walmart and buy a new card for $3 and transfer the money. So the next day when I get an email saying that my card is frozen due to suspicious activity I click the link to verify and upload my ID I get asked for my card number to verify my account to upload. So again I call and wait over 40 minutes for a rep to come on the line who then tells me what the previous rep told me wasn't true but that an expedited card could be sent to me once the account isn't frozen.

    So I wait. Call back when it's not frozen and yet again I'm told that there isn't a way to have a card sent expedited to me and I would have to wait for the card that isn't expected to arrive until 4/2. I have to wait 12 days total for a replacement card and they have no other options, unless I have another personalized card magically sitting around I can transfer money to. 12 days with no access to my money because this ** service has no other possible options or ways to access it. To add insult to injury their reps will lie to you to shut you up and then do absolutely nothing about it. The ONLY good thing is that direct deposit is 2 days early AND THAT'S IT! Oh and they also didn't advise me of the replacement card fee when I ordered it.

    Today I went to use my debit card and it was flagged for suspicious activity and they asked for my ID to clear my account. The only transaction was a deposit for my son's ss check that has been going in the same account for 2 years. They say 24-48 hours but can't tell me what was "suspicious" nor would she allow me to speak to a supervisor. This money is for bills that are due on Friday and for my son's medication.     Monthly charges on a prepaid card. What a rip off!!! The person on the phone helpline could barely speak English. I didn't understand what he was saying & would not get a supervisor. Then I get a permanent card in the mail that I was told I would have to have for my original gift VISA card I purchased to work. After more than an hour I finally got it registered only to find out it has nothing to do with the original. As a note I have purchased & used three VISA gift cards from SAFEWAY with no problems. The only solution I can see since no one will talk to me on the phone, I called four different numbers, is to go to my nearest Walmart & stand by the area where the card was purchased & tell everyone my problems until I can get some help.     My card was stolen and the thieves wiped out all funds. I was told it would take "at least 10 business days" to get any help!! The customer service rep filed the card stolen and that was it. I tried to call back and because they filed the card stolen and deactivated it, I can no longer reach any live customer service representative. The automated system just continuously says, "the information I entered is invalid". So this company has the system down pat!

    If your money gets stolen, they file the card stolen which wipes it out on the automated phone system so you can no longer reach them or be a bother to them. They get to keep the fees they earned from the illegal transactions and they know that they won't have to hear you complaining (or in my case BEGGING for help because I'm a single mother who has cancer and has a special needs son and I literally live paycheck to paycheck) from you because they made sure to block you from all contact. So my money was stolen and now I can't even reach a real person to ask my questions or get further help! DISGUSTING!!! DO SOMETHING TO FIX THIS!!!

    I had the Walmart MoneyCard for about three months and had my work check deposited there. My wallet was stolen and canceled my card and requested a new card. Over a week later no card came in the mail. Walmart will not let you talk to a live customer service rep to figure out what’s going on. Meanwhile, I cannot touch my money to meet my pending financial obligations. If it were an actual Bank I could have gotten the card same.     Someone stole my info and my entire paycheck. I called the number on the back of the card. It takes about 15 min to get a real person and not a robot voice. Then when I try to explain what happen they can't understand me and I can't understand them because English isn't their first language. It's very frustrating when I'm trying to get my hard earned money back. They asked for my email address, I haven't received any emails from them. I sent my documents to email the automated voice told me to send them to. Still haven't gotten an email back.

    Then they charged me for 2 new cards, I already told the woman on the phone I have one on the way, I honestly think she had no idea what I was saying. So the thieves went on shopping spree and I'm stuck waiting for a email, letter or new card or something from this company. And I have no idea when I'll get my money back, I'm behind on bills have no money for anything. Don't get this card! Even if it's good for years.     I've had my paycheck direct deposited into my Walmart MoneyCard account for years. I tried to make a purchase on 3/22 and it was declined. I called the customer service number and after entering all my information, a recording stated that my account was closed and I was not allowed to have an account with the bank again.     I have had my Walmart MoneyCard for at least 6 years and have loved using it, I prefer it over a regular bank card because my money is available sooner with my direct deposit and there are no overdraft or crazy bank fees. I have never had any issues with my card over the last 6 years. Recently I was hacked and had around 1,800 worth of money stolen in the form of someone shopping in a store with my card number in a completely different state. I have done my dispute but have not received any email or anything back saying it has been received or my case is being investigated and when I have called to check in nobody seems to be able to give me any answers or even really care about the issue at all.     I will never get another card from Walmart. My brother passed away Jan 2018. We got this card to use with YouCaring for donation for my brother's funeral cost. It was going good for awhile until they decide to block it with almost 3.000 on card. Because of too much activity on card.     I stayed at a hotel recently and they put an incidentals hold on my card, which their bank released three days after I checked out. Walmart MoneyCard is holding that money for another week and refuses to release it back onto my card! There is absolutely no reason for this when it has been released from the merchant's bank! Their customer service line is a joke and of no help. When asking for a supervisor they refuse! Walmart is actually wasting money paying these people since they can do nothing and tell you nothing!     VERY DISPLEASED! My father had nearly $800 stolen from his card almost immediately after reloading (almost like whomever loaded it at the store had access to the numbers...). He called to dispute the transactions, and they canceled the card. Now, he cannot access customer service because the "number is invalid." What kind of company has access to YOUR money and does not have an option to at least SPEAK to a customer service representative. I've had Comcast and Straight Talk and dealt with some extremely unhelpful customer service but at least you could get through. We can't even access to find out what the transactions were to dispute them. I had better be able to get in touch with someone from customer service soon, or I will be filing MULTIPLE complaints and will be speaking with an attorney. This seems to be the only place to get anyone to respond, so we'll try this!

    Card was blocked and they are withholding my funds. Spoke to numerous different customer service representatives who said would be released in 24-48 hours. It’s been longer than that and they each have a different response. Horrible customer service and everyone is a supervisor.

    Went to use my card today after a deposit yesterday and was declined 2 times. Called customer service, stated my card had been blocked but refused to tell me why. I emailed my photo ID and now I have to wait until next week. I have no access to any funds? I have no money whatsoever. After reading all the reviews on this same subject I really feel I will never have access to my money again and this account is set up on direct deposit so I will be out the next 2 months also. Customer service is the worst and had no compassion whatsoever for this terrible inconvenience to me.

    I have had Walmart MoneyCard card for 2 years. Two weeks ago I went to Walmart and my Card got debited 3 times when I only made 1 transaction. I immediately called customer service and they said they was opening a Fraud investigation and they came back with the decision they didn’t have enough proof. So basically anyone can steal your card or fraud you and Walmart does nothing to protect your money. Do not use them.

    I bought my son a gift for Christmas that never came. I opened a fraud account. Once again they didn’t have enough proof even though I sent them plenty of proof that the store was shut down but they don’t care. So be careful every time you make a purchase because they won’t do anything if you lose money or get it stolen from you. They act like they care but the result is when you open a dispute they will always say they don’t have enough information to support even though you gave them plenty. They are a fraud company and it’s kinda funny that money was taken off 3 times without my permission from Walmart using the Walmart MoneyCard. It’s because they know there’s nothing you can do about it.

    I received my tax refund on February 28. It went to the wrong Walmart MoneyCard, I currently have 2 accounts. I transferred five hundred dollars to my other card and also requested a second card, at this point my card was locked for "suspicious activity". I submitted a clear photo of the front and back of my identification card several times to the website as well as to the idv email.

    I have called numerous times only to be told it would be twenty four to forty eight more hours each time. I received an email this morning saying that my account is unblocked, but when I called to check the card it now says it is closed and I am unable to open another account. I called customer service immediately to get more information and was told to wait for a corporate callback by Andrea. At this point I am homeless with children and unable to access the funds I need to be able to provide for the basic needs of my children. PLEASE HELP ME.

    My state refund was deposited into my card and suddenly they blocked it. My card was declined In the grocery store. They told me to send my ID to an email which I have done TWICE... And still no word! This is my money. It’s all I have and I'm a single mom. I need this money desperately! Customer service was a joke! I’m calling a lawyer and the news agencies if this isn’t resolved ASAP! You cannot steal people’s money! I’m so upset and scared right now. How do I support my children... Green Dot better fix this.

    I deposited $2,000 on my Walmart Money Card and happened to check the balance a week later and $1,592 was stolen off of it. The money was spent 2,000 away at several Lowe's, Sam's Club, and even a Sonic drive-thru. It's been over 2 weeks and I still haven't been reimbursed.

    Okay so I have an update for you guys out there regarding my problem I had back on 3/16/18. Yesterday which was 4/10/18 someone from Walmart MoneyCard did reach out to me and it seem as if they are trying to help resolve my issue.     Very disappointed with Walmart MoneyCard. There was an ATM error at BOFA ATM. The funds were never dispensed. I filed a claim with Walmart the same day, was told I will be receiving an update no later than the 16... Well today is the 16 and still no update after calling just about every day to check on status. Today they said I will be receiving update by 1:00 pm... it’s 3:30 still no update. I called again just for them to tell me that I they don’t have an update for me at this time and have no further info and they will let me know when they come up with a resolution. I’m so frustrated. I thought I was unhappy with NETSPEND but they are wayyy better than this Walmart MoneyCard. They have better customer service and when they say 10 days they mean exactly 10 days. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES THE HASSLE AND GO WITH ANOTHER CARD COMPANY.

    You all are holding my government SSI check hostage. I will be contacting gov. Card never sent out and no one speak English. They continue to put me on hold and never come back to phone. Again it's against the law to hold government funds. Why do Americans buy your products and you all use non-English speaking Asians to answer calls. No manager ever available. I need my money out of this account.

    My son loaded $1200 onto Moneycard in order to make a big purchase online. After purchase was made ($933 purchase), an email was immediately sent advising card was blocked and closed. Purchase was declined and not allowed to go through. Sent in license that was requested and was told documents couldn't be verified, documents were then emailed and after getting the runaround for a week was told that it would stay closed. I am floored and so angry that they think they can just keep over $1000 of my son's hard earned money. Customer service is horrible and absolutely no help at all. Just kept saying no further information available but that in 3 years he can file a request to get the money from the state. Please help my son get his money back. How can a legitimate business do this?

    I just got paid today 3/15/18. Then this evening a refund was issued to my card from the dealership I purchased my vehicle from 3 years ago so this made Walmart MoneyCard place a block on my account. I called right away they told me to send over docs of refund. I understand putting a hold on the refund amount but now I have 3 children and I’m stuck out of state with no way to get my funds to get home. No one was willing to give me the funds that are mine. What an awful feeling talking to people who could care less your job's on the line because you can’t get home because of a debit block.

    I opened my Walmart money card about a year ago. Yesterday I loaded $670.00 on it, came home to pay bills online. I paid my bills and also donated money to CBN. (Christian Broadcast Network) I received an email that said there was fraudulent activity and I needed to verify my identity. I followed the steps and sent a picture of my license. They closed my account and will not release the rest of my money. I still have a good amount of money on that card. PLEASE HELP.
