If I had complaints it would be - It takes a long time to get in and out. The paperwork is very time consuming and the speech they give every time is really not necessary and it takes forever. They do not get in a hurry and sometimes I am. They draft the account too fast without warning. I know I should expect the draft when I agree to - but I have been a customer for a while - renewing every two weeks. I think with regular customer a courtesy call before sending a draft would be very nice.

I have applied for short term loans several times and each time I want to pay down on the loan. After they take their fees it's either the system is down and or the customer service gives you such a hard time when I want to make a payment. l asked to put my wife on the account so that she can make payments but they always tell her she is not on the account. l think it's their way of making money on the fees and denying people the opportunity to pay. l am going to petition for a class action lawsuit against Speedy because that's deceptive trade practice. According to the agreement, l have the option to pay down on the loan but they try to make it so hard.

I specifically gave banking and routing to the credit union. You drafted the payment for the loan, but you put the money in regions. A roommate stole my bank card and wrote a hot check without my knowledge, 300.00 dollars, that turned into $362 and some change. Why did you deposit the money into the wrong account when I gave you checking and routing to the credit union? I didn't get the best use of the money to my standards. I am a recurring customer and I needed a loan. They offered me an installment loan at a low interest rate. This was not suppose to be a payday loan at the high interest. I took out a loan for $750 back in January and the balance is still over $600. On the front end, the interest was very low and once I hit the submit button for the loan, it was an outrageous interest rate. Since then, I lost my job and no one from Speedy Cash will contact me. I have sent emails explaining the fraudulent loan installment on the front end. Never use them for a high amount loan.

Tracy - We encourage our customers to pay off installment loans as quickly as possible to keep interest low. Most customers use installment loans in a similar way as a payday loan because it can be cheaper when paid off in a timely manner. Now, I am not upset about getting denied but on my denial letter that I was handed state unable to verify income, however, the lady looking at my verification of my direct deposit. And also unable to verify previous customer relationship??? What does that mean? No one knows. I ask the store manager, she doesn't know. She refers me to online 800 number. I call, they don't know what that means. The online manager say I can not reapply for 60 days, but she don't know what that means either.
She tell me that I can go to another store location, which I do and call the store, explained what happen. Christi at the Mesquite location tells me to come in and I get there, she is gone. Another manager (submitted) another application which was all of 2 mins to tell me it was the same thing but this time he was able to verify my income but the other customer relationships was the same. Ok but what does that mean???? The response was we do not know that in the stores. Who does? I again don't have a problem with being denied. I would like an explanation that make sense. My husband originally took out a payday loan with Speedy Cash, but when he ran out of his refinances, it gave him the option to change it to an installment loan. It told us it would cost $160 a month until July. Please explain to me how when we refinanced it early that the interest/payment would be about $183? He took out a loan for $640 and at the end of the contract in July it showed him needing to pay $800! How does that qualify as an installment loan? Installment loans are supposed to be a balance that is paid down every month and in the last month, you pay it off. My husband is refusing to pay. He has now defaulted, and they call EVERYDAY even after TWO cease and desists have been sent! They always call from different numbers, so we can't block them. How is this legal?

Marah - Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your comments. Our installment loan rates and terms are clearly stated on loan documents and are meant to be short term to keep interest low. Please contact us if you have any questions. Call 1-877-315-8491 or email CustomerService@SpeedyCash.com.

I had a loan with them and had called the month before to make sure when my last payment would be and the amount which was what I had been paying every month. The service agent on the phone confirmed that it would be. The day it was due, they took out 1062 dollars instead of $170. I called and asked could I refinance or make payments and they told me no because it already came out and that I have to wait until it goes delinquent to make payments which is total **. So I had to put a stop on the payment just so it wouldn't overdraft my account. I will never do another loan with SpeedyCash or refer them to anyone.

No person to person transaction, no ID or State DL verification, just match the 9 numbers and you win!!!! Of course you need to provide a bank account for them to put it into, but you can just cancel that auto draft. BEWARE, that is exactly what happened to me, DID NOT match my date of birth, DID NOT match my DL# but it did match the Magic SS#. The CSR at Speedy Cash even agreed with me this was identity theft!
Now whoever got that money is off scot-free and I'm the one holding the bag with this reflecting on my credit report. I imagine this is a common occurrence. Right, Speedy Cash rep this will respond to this? How would you feel if that happened to you, Speedy Cash rep? I cannot wait to contact an attorney as well as my congressman. I took out a loan in Oct for 700. I took it out because I am sick with cancer, elderly, live alone and needed to get things taken care of before I was hospitalized. I paid on the acct until Dec at which time I was in the hospital and my payment didn't clear. I was then placed on a repayment plan. First of all if you get anyone to respond to a call or an email you're doing better than me. I could never get anyone to do anything for me. But regardless, I told the company I owe the money, don't deny it, will pay it every two weeks thru my disability check. So after paying $150 every two weeks and then supposedly having it paid off end of April, I check my balance online today and find out speedy cash took the full $700 today.
I called and they said, "sorry you defaulted on your payment." Evidently it didn't clear two weeks ago. I said, "do you guys not tell people when something like that happens or they are taking the entire thing again," and she said no. I told her it had caused my house payment and my electric bill to not clear and she said, "well, I've been there before I understand but can't help you." I said, "well at least give me the difference in what I was paying to clear this account up." I only owed $450 more dollars they could give me the $250 that they overcharged me. She said, "no, you defaulted," and I told her again, "I never heard about that and you didn't let me know there was a problem." She said, "sorry, we can't help you." SO it's my own stupid fault for doing the loan, sometimes you do what you have to do but I did not ever not pay them, deny being my loan or argue this point whatsoever. It was my debt and I owed it and was taking care of it, I thought so now everything is bouncing like a snowball effect.
What I have decided to do because there is so much controversy with payday loans is that I have decided that there are reasons, there are people that are backed into these situations and then companies like speedy cash that take advantage. I have asked others who have taken loans from other companies and never have been treated like this. I have paid nearly 3000 back for a 700 loan. And now have NSF fees etc to deal with. So I have all my emails from speedy cash, my repayment agreement saying nowhere they will take the money from my acct if it is broken and names of people I have spoken to. I have sent the information to local tv and radio stations asking if they would ever be doing a segment on payday loans, the good, the bad and the ugly and explained to them. I'm elderly, cancer patient, living alone and this is what happened and surprisingly there is some interest there so have sent the things I do have to them. I'm just wondering how many people really dig into these things and see the right and wrong side of it all. I may not be able to stop someone from getting a loan from them but if I just make people think about it and get their name out there to think things thru it's worth it.

I began receiving collection notices in January from Speedy Cash. I called them and told them I do not have an account with them, and do not use a payday loan service. I was told to file a police report which I did. I was told to send them a copy of the police report which I did. Now I am getting collection notices again. They will not give me any information as to how or where the loan was processed. Well if the loan is in my name then I have the right to know the what, where, and therefores of the loan. They will not give me any information, they said if it is fraud then I need to do their work for them. WRONG!!! Give me the information so I can see if there is any other problems on my identity being stolen. Hey people I am the victim here! So I guess I am not able to get any other information regarding this, then you do not get any more information on me! SPEEDY CASH IS NOTHING MORE THAN A PREDATORY LENDER! I have had a few loans from Speedy Cash and all had usually gone smoothly until this last one. They had been encouraging me to put a credit card on file so I could have my payment withdrawn from my credit card instead of my bank account. The reason was so I could get a quicker turnaround time for a new loan (like I said repeat customer). SO I had called in and given a credit card and asked that they take the money from my credit card and not my bank account so I could pull a new loan the next week. I had to go pull money from my bank account to put on my credit card. The two accounts are not connected at all.
I thought all was well. Then I called in to get my new loan and they said it had not cleared yet and that they had to put an ACH on my bank account not my credit card. I told them I did not authorize them to take the money from my bank account but only my credit card said it was supposed to be coming from my credit and they did in fact confirm that it was. Then they said it showing declined, so without my authorization they pulled my old bank account information from previous loan to pull from account (keep in mind I pulled money from bank account to put on credit card & I did not authorize them to use my bank account). I verified the amount and then went into my card to verify the amount was in there and it was.
I spent quite some time on the phone with Speedy Cash and they asked me to fax over proof the money was on the credit card. I did so they could not figure out why it was coming back declined. So then we conference called my credit card company. Come to find out they were trying to do a wire transfer not a credit card transaction so as a safety feature my card rejected it. So come to find out it is in fact Speedy Cash's fault - it was so called declined because they were trying to use my card for a wire transfer and not as a credit card.
Second issue, they right away tried to take the money from my bank account without even contacting me to tell me the first transaction had a problem nor to get permission to withdrawal from bank account. I needed at least a heads up so I could go pull the money back off the card to put back into the account. So I asked "where do we go from here?" I expect to get reimbursed for all this time and for the insufficient funds fee they caused on my account. They said they had to wait for it to come back declined before they could do so. So the next day it showed in my account as declined. I called and emailed Speedy Cash again. They said it didn't come back in their records so I again had to fax over my records showing that it had come back declined. After I did that they said "we still need for it to come back to us as declined," so another couple days passed and I emailed them again and they sent me back a standard reply "please contact our offices to arrange payment."
I emailed them and said the whole story all over again that they were supposed to take it from my card not my bank and when they proceed my card as a wire is why it was rejected and no one notified me so I could make arrangements to put money back into the account, so they created a insufficient funds fee in my account and I need to be reimbursed for that as promised, then I would arrange for funds to be put in my account. So now I have been passed to 5 different people in my emails and then finally told 4 days ago that a customer relations manager would be emailing me and no one has. I sent two follow up emails with no response. I was trying to wrap this up and they are not even willing to reimburse me my $29 insufficient funds fee that they caused. I sent over all my proof and now they won't even respond to me.
I am furious and hope that your agency can help me wrap up this account. I am willing to pay the loan and do have the money to pay the loan back right now, but I have to have my compensation now not only for the insufficient fund fee but all of this time I have put towards this and the major frustration in the lack of service.

I accept responsibility for my actions in borrowing this money. I was crazy to do so. Had my back to the wall and was desperate. I am a Senior Citizen and live on a small Social Security check each month. What with inflation the way it is, I barely make it. I owe enough that my interest payments alone are $110.00 per month. I have asked if the company could perhaps lower my interest or place me on a different type of loan with lower interest, and of course the answer was no. These loans should be illegal with the interest they charge. Why have our Legislators allowed this?
The people that borrow are in a bad place to start with and most would do better if they could. I am at the point where I can no longer go to the grocery store because of paying this interest which snowballs daily. It is fixed so you never get out of debt to them, you just pay interest and then you pay it all over again the next month. I can afford to pay very little on the principal. Please join me in writing your Congressman, local representatives and protesting this outrageous amount we are being charged. Anyone agree?

I have called them and talked to them about this and told them that I didn't take out another loan. I had to cancel my card because of fraud on my account. They tried to take the money out of my account and I got a call from them stating that they couldn't take the money out. I told them again that I didn't have the loan that they were talking about.
They stopped calling me for about 3 months and then they called my place of business to ask about the loan that I took out. I told the rep again, I didn't take a loan and please call me after 5 pm MST to talk to me on my cell. I never got a phone call from them. I took out an installment loan through Speedy Cash last month in San Antonio, Texas. The loan was for $560. I realize that lenders such as this are expensive, so I expected to pay quite a bit for the loan. I had no idea, however, that my interest rate would be OVER 600%! At the end of September, this lender deducted over $520 from my checking account, and they will continue to do so for FIVE more months. I will pay over $3,000 for this $560 installment loan.
When I called to inquire about this, the gentleman told me-- in a nutshell-- that this was the agreement, although I hadn't realized that the interest rate would be so outrageous. I asked to have my installment agreement switched over to a payday loan (which would still cost A LOT), and he said no. I have consulted a couple of attorneys, and I plan to file a lawsuit due to the fact that I am not allowed to switch this installment loan over to a payday loan (which would STILL allow Speedy Cash to reap a HUGE profit anyway).
I asked the gentleman on the phone if I could pay off the loan early, with a smaller interest rate, and he said no-- that even if I paid it off that second, I would pay in excess of $3000 for a $560 loan. This is highway robbery. I have never sued anyone in my life, but I feel I have got to make a statement. This is very unfair to any future consumers who are just trying to put food on the table like I am.

The only reason there is 1 star is because I HAD to give them a star. When I applied for the loan, I spoke with a rep. who gave me an awesome interest rate. I specifically told this woman that I was searching around for the best interest rate and when I find one I will go for it. When she gave me "Speedy Cash Interest Rate" I thought it was fantastic and went for it. I ONLY APPROVED the ok to process this because of the interest rate she gave me. She even said to me, "If add more money to your payment, your interest rate even goes down." I said, “WOW, what’s another $50 to bring it down.”
When I noticed the payment date was not the date I was supposed to have, I called hours later after approving the loan to get that fixed to my actual dates. They changed it; it was fine. First payment date came. Again, it was the wrong date. I called and got it fixed the second time and I paid. Second payment date came and again I get an email saying that it was going to be withdrawing the payment on a date I did not approve of so I had to change it again. I even spoke with a supervisor this time and she confirmed the date for me, but something told to ask questions, some serious intuition or an Angel that should have been there the day I said 'Yes' to Speedy Cash.
I called and asked, even though I just made 1 payment I could have done the calculation myself. I called and asked what my balance was. The loan was for 2,600; this was just the 2nd payment and my balance was 2,800. I said "WOW! How did it get up that fast?" She told me, "Well ma'am it's because of the DAILY interest rate charge." I felt like someone punched me in the face. I said, "DAILY interest rate? No one told me about a DAILY interest rate, and if I knew there was going to be one I would NEVER have applied."
They right away got snappy with me and said it was my fault and said they can't do anything about it. Because of this I'm consulting an Attorney. They just tell you things so that you can sign up for the loan so they can catch you. And now get this, AGAIN, I received an email saying they were going to withdraw money from a date I did not authorize. So I make the call, and they let me know, that every time I call to make a payment change date, the interest rate adds up to more. ARE YOU GUYS OUT OF YOUR MIND??? I was confirmed 3 times that my payment date was CHANGED to the one that matched my deposit date from work.
The fact that I have to continuously call and make this change is and should NOT be my fault? I even spoke with a supervisor who confirmed my payment change on my 3rd call. This company is SCAM, SCAM, SCAM and I would go far from this place. There is will be way for you to pay off this loan with their rules. RUN as fast as you can from this place. They need to change or leave. This was my first time getting the loan. I literally asked ALL the important questions you need to ask and I still got scammed. I went in on a Friday to make payment to my account and was turned away because they stated that I had to be there by 4:30 pm. #1. You don't time frame consumers on when and what time to come make payment as long as it is in by close of business on the due date. I got there at 7 pm and of course they do not close til 9 pm. The clerk was a great guy and friendly but I have to say that the company acts sometimes like they are running a scam! I don't give two flies if they try to auto draft but if a consumer comes in to legitimately make payment and they refuse it stating the system is pending due to trying to auto draft because you did not come in at 4:30 is bull and it is scamming.
I was told to hold off till the next day or 3 to 5 days! Well hell waiting like that makes me leery that You will try to get more money that I do not have. So, the cashier had best be right or Speedy is going to have to answer to the legal end because I am sick and tired of different things being told that were definitely not in clause and then being switched over to another bank or whatever third party with no knowledge until one day going in to make payment and then asked for more than the minimum. People do not have it like that and if they did they sure as heck would not go to a loan company now, would they?
I would never refer anyone and definitely will never do business again with them. "Oh", might I add that I pay every time the payment is due and also have to say I have been a GREAT consumer because as far as I am concerned they actually have received the total amount of the borrowed amount and quadruple by getting paid every two weeks which totals $290.00 on a $1300.00 loan!!!! A few days later, I went to use my card and it was declined because I was in overdraft due to an $89.00 charge on my account from Speedycash.com. In addition, I was charged an overdraft fee by my bank of $38.00. I immediately called my bank and explained to them that this was not my doing. I've NEVER heard of these people much less authorized them to take my money.
The bank sent me a new card and credited the charges back. I thought this crap was over, but a few days ago, AGAIN, these people sent a check that they made up back to my account. I am BACK IN OVERDRAFT!!!! This is the thing, I have NEVER been to your website. I have NEVER applied for a loan with you. I NEVER gave you my account information and I certainly NEVER said it was ok to take $89.00 out of my account. Stop trying to take my money!!!!!

Veronica- Please file a police report on this incident as it seems someone is using your information. Fax us the filed police report and we will transfer your case to our fraud department and flag your card and account information. This is necessary to help us prevent fraud in the future. I'd done one another time, signing over money out of my next paycheck, which worked OK at the time. This time, however, I wasn't in a place where I could allow $400 to go to the loan, leaving me stuck with their dreadful payment plan with brutal interest rates. It got worse because I ended up holding the bag on top of all the other expenses I had, allowing me to barely do more than a minimum payment. A year later, I'd been done with the loan at least twice, yet I've still got around $160 left to pay on it, thanks to the 2% percent applied to the balance from a minimum payment.
I'm basically trading $20 so they'll maybe take a little over 5 off the balance, only to be charged interest daily. If you're able to pay the entire balance off with a paycheck, the place isn't so bad; however, if you're stuck in a financial rot to where you're only able to do minimum, or just over, payments, be prepared to waste a lot of money. Having a payment to these places on top of other expenses is like driving on a flat tire. By the time I'm done with this place, I'd venture to say I've spent over four times the amount on a $400 loan.

Colt- We strongly encourage our customers to only take out a loan amount they can pay back themselves and we try to be as flexible as we can on payment plans. Not one single penny has gone to the payment!!!!! He's paid 81 dollars all last month and NONE OF IT WENT TO THE PAYMENT! I went to pay my rent today, and discovered Rapid Cash withdrew the entire amount of money owed at once. I was given no warning of this. I am now stuck with a few bills I cannot pay, and had to borrow some money from a friend to pay my rent. I have never taken a loan out with Speedy Cash, but they have been debiting my account twice a month. I called Speedy Cash and they said I had a loan out with them - I do not. Went to see what documentation they have with my name on it - they gave me a copy of a generic looking contract on which someone did indeed use my name, address, SS# and birth date. There is no other documentation - no copies of an ID, or place of work, or vehicle listed for the title loan! How the heck is this company verifying identities??! Or are they? I've called several times and been in person once (found it out last week) and this contract is all they say they have for "my" loan with them. My bank is assisting me with this, but now going to file a police report. Thanks for the info.

Instead, without notice, they simply took the entire debt out of my account the next month! Fortunately, Western Finance immediately loaned me enough to cover my bank overdraft and give me six month to pay them back at much less interest. The people at the Beaumont location were rude and non concerning, and that was when I first got the loan! I received a letter in the mail from Speedy Cash saying I owed $656.36. It went on to say if I did not pay the follow up within 30 days or make a payment that the loan would be turned over to collections. I contacted the number in the letter and informed the rep that I had never used their company to acquire a loan. So we went over the information they obtained from the person who requested the loan. He had somehow gotten my ss#, my address but provided the wrong date of birth. After inquiring a little further I found that he gave them an e-mail and place of employment that did not match mine either.
They said that even with all the inaccuracies they granted the loan and that I would have to file a police report and fax them a copy before they would investigate the fraud. I immediately went to the police dept. and got a report and faxed it to them. That is where we are at currently. I know as a consumer it is my duty to do my best to protect my information but things happen. My question is why was this loan approved if he gave information that did not match what should have been in credit report, i.e. birthday, places of employment etc...Hopefully they can track this low-life down and prosecute him.

I'm so angry, and after going to this web-site and reading all these complaints, I just am terrified that this could be bigger than what it is! I value my credit; my privacy. Now I have an even bigger problem! Worrying about all this, they have my bank account number, my card number, my SS#, everything! I recently celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary; my husband and I spent so much money on our Ching-Ding, and we were flying off to Vegas for our 2nd honeymoon trip; which was paid for, we just wanted a little extra cash to have fun!
Well it was the most expensive thing I have done in a long time. I borrowed $1000 as a payday loan and had every intention to pay it. Well when I went in to make a payment I was informed that if I could not pay the full amount with interest, it would be converted to a regular loan. They further explained that I could then make monthly payments, and as I paid the interest would go down. I made a $400 payment in which $200 went towards the interest. Leaving me a balance of $1000.00; I then came two weeks ago, expecting for my interest to go down; I made a $300 payment, and the clerk then said, "$200 of it is interest, $100 will go to the loan." I said "WHAT," that is not what that clerk said to me, as I pointed out to her, and she came over and she said, "I'm sorry because those are new loans to us, I didn't really know."
I was outraged, I said, "You lied to me!" She said, "I didn't know, I'm sorry." So, I was so upset. I told them, "If I had known that, I would have made every effort to pay it off the first time I came back!!!!" Then went back today, and I paid off my loan, a whopping $1100.38. Mind you, I have already paid over $600 interest... If I had made $300 payment, I would have had to make them 12 times, so I would have paid $3600.00 for a $1000.00. If I made $50.00 payment with additional $200 every time, I would have paid $6000.00... Because the girl was not trained and did not know her job, it cost me $600.00...
I can't imagine somebody desperate and that did not have a job, like all the other stories posted here. The manager said he was sorry, for everything, couldn't do anything about it... but that he would retrain the employee, whose name he would not give me. I will go to my BBB, and the media to make sure this does not happen again to people who would not be able to pay a large amount at one time. And show them all these complaints. They lied to me. They did not allow me to make an informed decision. I am a disabled Veteran, and have to limit myself for a while until I recover these lost wages!!!

Lupita- We make every effort to inform our customers of our rates and terms as well as provide legal loan documents. We apologize for the miscommunication. I had taken out a car title loan originally for $2600 in Feb. of 2010 where I should have never been approved as I didn't meet the income requirements and my car did not have full insurance. Both are requirements for taking out a car title loan. After making several payments and renewing my loan several times where my next payment would be due one month from when I created a new loan, Speedy Cash messed up and put my payment due in 2 weeks which I could not meet. At this point they told me I was actually approved for a higher loan amount of $6600 which I needed because I couldn't make the current payment due to the error. So I took the $6600 as it was my only option out of the financial hole I was in. This happened around September 2010. At this point I no longer worked at the job I was originally approved of the loan for. I had left that job in July 2010. Which makes it even worse that I was offered way more money with no income as I was not working.
In November 2010, I made a payment of $550 as that was my monthly required minimum payment. In December 2010, I crashed the 2006 Honda Civic that had only 50,000 miles on it and had a KBB value of $12,000. Since I was not injured and no property damage was done other than to the vehicle the accident was not reported. Especially since there was no full coverage on the vehicle. The airbags were deployed and the car was severely damaged. I took the car to a body shop within 72 hours of the accident where I received an estimate of over $6,000 to fix. With a loan balance over $7000 and a repair bill of over $6000 totaling more than the KBB value and no way to pay for this, I determined I couldn't have the car repaired.
I moved the car across the street to an empty piece of commercial land. Two months later, my father receives a phone call from the nice mechanic informing us that the car is being looked at by the police. So my father and I make arrangements to get a tow truck there to move the car as it is not driveable. My father and I arrive and call AAA to pick up the car. As AAA arrives there is a man and his girlfriend swinging a machete at us stating we cannot take the car because it's on someone else's property. They demand we pay $400 in cash to them in order to get the car off. They state the owner of the land is their friend and asks them to watch his property. They won't give us a name or a way to contact him. Making it an even more problematic situation, these people have all my personal information and paperwork regarding the car and the loan. They stated they had called Speedy Cash and Speedy Cash had given them this info.
At this point the three of us are scared and decide for our safety we should leave. A police officer actually shows up and states, "Since no actual violence occurred it's a civil matter because the car is on private property." We give it about a month and I contact Speedy Cash and inform them that the car is totaled and where it is. After about another month we go back to see if the car is still there and it is not. Believing Speedy Cash picked up the car as a repo, we let the situation go since still almost a year later nothing is showing on my credit report. As of August 2012 I receive a past due parking ticket on the car that was for "standing in alley" at a location that was not anywhere near where I had last seen the car. It's over 50 miles away. I immediately call Speedy Cash and ask what is going on since I didn't move the car there and I have not heard anything from them or anyone else. The ticket was from July 2012 and it was stating I was the owner at the time. They don't know what's going on and refuse to talk to me. They give me Ad Astra, the third party collections they use, phone number. I call and leave a message.
I then receive a phone call, the collection agency demanding I pay $9100 immediately and extremely rude and unprofessional (I worked in medical collections). I try and tell him that it’s unacceptable to treat me like this and that Speedy Cash repo the car and that there is nothing on my credit report. Getting nowhere with Ad Astra, I call Speedy Cash back and they have me call the legal department which I do and they state, "We saw the car and it was not in Speedy Cash's best interest to pick up the car". They left the collateral! Never informing me! Neglecting everything as "owners" of the vehicle!
I go to the DMV as I still have an outstanding parking ticket that I need to clear. My current job at the time requires that I sell firearms. In Los Angeles county you need to have a clean record and no outstanding tickets! If I do I lose my job as I lose my permit to sell! The DMV states that the car is no longer registered to me! It's actually in someone else's name and they cannot talk to me because I'm not the owner. I state that I shouldn't be responsible for the ticket then. The DMV states I need to provide proof of when I declared a non-ownership or a transfer for the car. I cannot get that as I have no idea who the new owner on the registration paperwork is or how it got to him! They tell me I should dispute the ticket and go to court and fight it.
I go over to Speedy Cash on the same day and ask what happened as I have a registration in my hand from the DMV showing another owner. They have no idea and cannot talk to me. Again referring me to a collection agency that is in a different state over a thousand miles away. So I go to the police station to report the problem when I tried to pick up the car originally. Fill out a report so I can have evidence of when I last saw the car and where. I go back to Speedy Cash where they give me paperwork showing someone tried to put another Lien on the car stating it was under $4k. Parts alone, the car was more than that. Plus this is the first I've heard of this and it was from Feb. 2011. By Speedy Cash giving this to me, they acknowledged that they received it and failed to do anything about it including inform me.
Turns out the name and number of the person trying to be the agent on the sale/Lien was the woman that did not allow me to pick up the car when my father and I and the tow truck driver came. Making things even more complicated for me. She also informed me that she worked at the DMV and the owner of the land kicked her and her boyfriend off the property as she was not allowed to be there. I found this out as she voluntarily gave that info along with that she got all my info from speaking with Speedy Cash. Meaning Speedy Cash put my life in danger by breaking the FDCPA and not verifying the correct information before speaking to people. Throughout this time I continue to receive constant and harassing phone calls from Ad Astra trying to collect the debt. Including putting me on a dialer and acknowledging that I've disputed the account and am waiting to be in court. They refer me to Speedy Cash and Speedy Cash continues to refer me back. Getting me nowhere.
I had even gone into the speedy cash location several times where the store manager stated she is not allowed to speak with me and cannot give me any paperwork. I have yet to this day received validation on the account or to find out how the car got out of my name. Ad Astra accidentally sent me a print out if my account stating they re-activated the account after they closed it. The paper shows that no balance is owed. They forgot to get the paper retyped before it was sent out as it has the employees’ actual name. Not the alias the collectors go by.
When my court date arrives in December after my written dispute required to show in court the court determines I owe the ticket as I cannot prove I sold or transferred the car before July. The court lady understands my frustration and agony and actually tells me there has been 3 other paid tickets on the car that I was unaware of! To my luck one was in a red zone in a different location where an officer took a photo of the car completely rebuilt and driveable with 2 people in it! She prints a copy of the picture and a list of the other tickets as I am still the "owner" of the car. She also informs me that there is now another new name and owner that the car is registered to as of December 2012! Because the court stated I was responsible for the unpaid ticket I had no choice but to pay it as it is required to keep my job!
I try several times to get any info and paperwork from Ad Astra who continues to harass me even after I've disputed the account and from Speedy Cash to no avail. I run my credit in Feb of 2013 to find a collection account from Speedy Cash in the amount of $9100. I immediately dispute it with the credit bureaus. It is showing as of Sept. 2012 and reports each month as a failed to pay. The credit bureaus respond that the account is correct and will remain till 2017. It is July 2013 and I try reporting the car stolen through the police but they state it's too late to do so. Ad Astra which is in another state and I can only deal with through phone calls refers me to Speedy Cash and Speedy Cash states it’s not their account anymore and to speak with Ad Astra. They state there is no one in CA that can help me. As of right now, I have a collection account of $9100 on my credit making it impossible to get an apartment, any credit cards, car, or loan.
Plus I'm out a car that they state I'm still responsible for that they "didn't want" and neglected. I couldn't even pick up the car due to them breaking collection laws and putting my life and my family's life in danger. Also that I cannot get any information on as my name is no longer on the registration and Speedy Cash, to my knowledge, was the last person in possession of the pink slip. So I'm stuck with having to pay $9100, tickets, and having my credit destroyed for 7 years and not being able to keep my car. I am aware that I can personally sue individual collectors for up to $5000 and that every violation of the FDCPA is a $1000 fine. Not to mention the time, effort, running around, constant stress, fear, and emotional damage this entire situation has and still is causing me. Any help would be greatly appreciated as my next step is the BBB even though Speedy Cash is not accredited, then hiring an attorney as I feel I have exhausted all other options.

I have used payday loan places before, and I am somewhat familiar with their rates, fees and practices. I am not someone who normally bears banks or lenders any ill will, but after seeing similar complaints on this board, I would like to add my own. I borrowed $200 in store from Speedy Cash on the assumption (as I was led to believe by the clerks and the manager) that what I was signing was a PAYDAY LOAN, and that the eventual amount to be paid in full after interest would be $250 something. After I lost my job, I missed two payments and when I finally had some money, I called the number provided to pay the amount I originally borrowed in full plus what I assumed would be some fees for missing two payments (note: the time frame covering the missing payments was ONE MONTH, that's all) only to be informed that what I thought was a PAYDAY LOAN was in fact, unbeknownst to me, a HIGH INTEREST BANK LOAN.
I apparently now owed Speedy Cash by THEIR calculations $405! Not only that, but the woman I was speaking to threatened LEGAL action against me even though I offered to pay the original amount in cash, that day! Once I went online and saw I was not the only victim of this scam, I immediately wrote this review to warn others and I have filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office in Dallas, TX. I was not treated this way by ACE Cash Express or EZ Money or any other (as far as I am concerned) actual "Payday" loan organization. I am bitterly, bitterly disappointed. I understand how the writing may or may not have made this clear, but I cannot help but feel exploited.

If you all don't know, there is a reporting agency for these cash advance places similar to the credit bureau. The only signature on file was an e-signature; that is basically just your email address. I was furious! My bank sent the $500 back immediately. Now, two years later, I am getting phone calls saying that they are pressing charges for fraudulent claims against my SS#. Speedy Cash is claiming that I took out a $500 loan and then closed my account without payment. This is all a lie. I sent their money back, and I suppose they even got to keep the additional $126. They are leaving messages on the phones of my friends and employers that says, "This is to advise you that (my name inserted here) is being held liable for fraudulent charges connected to her social security number." When I called the main customer service number, I was told I wasn't given a payday loan but a higher interest rate loan. I was floored. I applied for a payday loan and my paperwork said payday loan. This is a classic case of deceptive trade practices. I don't understand how they can have you sign a paper that says one thing and then tell you verbally you owe something else.

In 2012 I was a victim of identity theft and two loans were opened at Speedy Cash without my knowledge or permission. I initially contacted Speedy Cash on October 6, 2012 upon receiving collection letters. I worked with Nicole (**) regarding the matter. Finally, on February 12, 2013, I finally received a letter from Loretta ** that I was not responsible for the loans (acct #**). This came about only because of my personal involvement and follow-up as Speedy Cash only did something when I called and made them do so.
Last week, June 14, 2013, I received two demand letters from Ad Astra Recovery Agency demanding payment for the fraudulent loans. I called Nicole and left a message on her personal voice mail. I have heard nothing. Speedy Cash has damaged my credit reputation in turning the debt over to a collection agency and has caused me severe emotional distress. In my opinion, they should be banned from doing business anywhere.

I applied for an online loan with them and got the approval for it to be deposited into my account the next day. The next day came and no deposit... I then called them and was told that they had my account number wrong and asked if I could repeat it. Stupid me did... All of a sudden, I was not approved for the loan anymore. When I asked why, I got the answer of I don't know, we don't have that information. Fine. No sooner than I got off the phone with them, my emails started going crazy, and my phone started ringing off the hook with payday loan companies THAT HAD ALL MY PERSONAL INFO!!! Social, bank address, phone, etc...
I called my bank immediately and was told the same day that Speedy said they had the wrong account number to DEPOSIT, they actually tried to withdraw!!! As of right now, I have 112 emails from different companies WITH MY INFO. The phone calls I get are rude, and when asked not to call back and to remove my info, they say the most negative, sometimes explicit things. I have had to get my credit pulled to see who and how many times it has been hit!!! When you call Speedy, they always say I DON'T KNOW! This is my first step. My next step is going to an attorney that deals in matters like this since they shared information for someone to steal my identity.

Jennifer- We would like to assure you that our company does not sell your information to other lenders. We see that you came to us through an outside source that is not a direct lender. MOST COMMON REASON FOR IDENTITY THEFT HAS BEEN LINKED TO THIS AND COMPANIES ALIKE. Thanks to Speedy Cash I am now having to prove that I am myself. Assuming this company was protecting my identity information (SSN and every other important piece of information that identifies myself), unfortunately I took out a payday loan with this place of business. Shortly after this (not to my knowledge), they let another person take out multiple loans out in my name. Four years later I finally have to discover this on my own. I have never experienced this in my life. I am now 25 years old and do not have a car or house, yet this imposter with my SSN does.
The first question the police asked was, "Have you taken out any loans lately?" I replied with, "Well yes, of course, with Speedy Cash." As the officer sighed in disgust, he said, "We're basically having an epidemic with these companies as well as the one you're speaking of NOT keeping people's identification secret or even protected." I call customer service daily. They transfer me to the fraud dept. Needless to say, three days later leaving messages on NICKY'S VOICEMAIL several days in a row, no response at all. Now I am just a statistic of this considering I am told by the PD that this has been a serious issue occurring shortly after people taking out these loans.

I have used Speedy Cash before and never had any problems until now. I attempted to pay the interest due on my loan online. It would not allow me as the website was having issues. I called into customer support for assistance and I was told that the due date would be moved to the 8th, giving me time to make the payment. I checked my bank account this morning and it turns out they pulled out the entire amount before the due date. I again called into Speedy Cash and told them what the problem was. They said that there were no notes on the account, stating the due date was to be changed.
I requested that the call be pulled so the supervisor could listen to it to verify what I said. They stated that indeed she had told me that it would be moved but she never attempted or it was just never changed in there. The representative I spoke with was not there at the time so they couldn't talk to her and said that they didn't know who she gave my information to make the change. I requested my money refunded but they could keep the interest payment that I was attempting to make. They also stated before that they saw that my $50 refinance payment was trying to come through but the website was not working, so it couldn't.
As of now, they refuse to give me any money back since the change was never made. I was also told when I tried to get a refinance over the phone that I would get a confirmation email or phone call stating that the changes have been made. I never received either. I'm very upset with the way the situation has been handled. They confirmed by listening to the call that indeed she was supposed to change the date so I could refinance. I didn't worry about the payment because it wasn't time to refinance and I still had an extra day, or so I thought.
I myself work in a call center and I know how things work. I never had any issues issuing a refund when it was our mistake. That's why I don't understand why they won't refund it even though they admitted that it was their mistake. I won't be using Speedy Cash anymore, nor will I refer them to anybody I know. Also, while I was trying to get my issue resolved on the phone, the representative tried to pitch me which I think is very inappropriate as I was not happy with the service at the moment.

THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE! I went into my local Moneybox some months ago to purchase a money order. The girl at the counter informed me that the company was now SPEEDY CASH and they now do payday loans. I was not interested (never had one), but she persisted, "It only takes a minute... Everyone needs extra $$$." So I gave it a shot. What could it hurt? WRONG! She was talking and laughing with the other girls in the back the whole time and entered my pay dates wrong. She entered all the info and told me I was approved and my next payment would be in 2 weeks on my next payday. INCORRECT. A week later, they charged my bank account. I didn't think anything of it.
The next Friday on my PAYDAY, I went into the store to pay it. She stared at the screen for a few minutes and then called another girl over. They whispered to each other. The second girl then informed me that no payment was due and that since I did not come in on time to make my payment, they took it out of my account (placing the blame on me). I asked her to please explain and then I explained to her that I hadn't even had the loan in two weeks. I showed her my stubs with my payday and she then told me that they show different pay dates on her screen (not that her co-worker entered them incorrectly) and then to further cover herself informed me that I had signed the paper so I agreed to make the payments whatever date they put. Okay not a problem, I did not get upset.
I had enough to pay the loan in full right there and should have but she assured me that she would fix it. She made a note of my next due date and the amount I would owe, stamped it with her store stamp and even taped a copy of it to the wall in the office. TWO WEEKS LATER, I went back, payments still off and I end up with an extra CAB fee after I paid all amounts due. I was told the store manager would take care of it. Fast forward four months later, it is STILL NOT FIXED. They have been charging my account every 2 weeks for interest on a CAB fee that I didn't even owe. I have called so many times, been on the line with agents for 30min - 1 hour each time with agents saying they would fix the problem, "Please hold while we research," "Please hold while we contact the store." "Okay, the issue should be cleared up. Please have a nice day."
Two weeks later, it started over again. It went from "Sorry, you are having this issue. Let's see what we can do to help" to now they are calling me asking me when am I going to pay them and treating me like a delinquent account. They owe me almost $100. And as many times as I have called, I was just told that none of this was notated on my account. They have no records of any of this. I TOO am through with SPEEDY CASH! They can't even get $0.49 from me for a money order.

If possible, DO NOT TRY SPEEDY CASH FOR A LOAN! Instead, go with Check N' Go or even CashNet USA! Speedy Cash is the worst. They have high interest rates. For a $400 loan, you will pay them back over $1,000. Not only that, but good luck trying to pay off the loan in full! It's impossible.. For three entire days I have tried to pay off a loan I took with them... the option was taken away from me and I ended up accumulating interest. It is best to make sure your credit is straight because all of these payday loan and installment companies are loan sharks... only some of them are more experienced and vicious.
In addition, for days I have been trying to pay off the total amount I owe on this loan. But I am not given that option when I log on to my account online. I contacted customer service and told them about the issue. It's been 96 hours and I still cannot pay off the loan nor have my account been updated to reflect what I should owe. The customer service representative was unhelpful and kept telling me I owed a higher balance than I should. Because I am not given the option to payoff loan, my account is steady occurring more interest.
I am on the verge of seeking legal action against this company, especially given the fact they are refusing to provide me with the option to pay off the loan in full and giving me conflicting details. I do not even have access to the history of the loan and the payments I've made since December 11, 2012. From what I hear, there needs to be a class action lawsuit of some sort against them. Never have I encountered anything like this. I advise everyone not to ever take out a loan through Speedy Cash. And for those that did take out a loan before, I advice you to file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency and the FDCP agencies against this company.

Yesterday (May 29, 2013), I applied for an online payday loan from Speedy Cash. I had to fill out the application that asked for all of my information, including my debit card information, bank routing and account number. After submitting the application, I was told that I had been denied the loan. I called Speedy Cash at 1-888-333-1360 and spoke with a representative to ask why they needed my debit card number and information if they requested the bank information. I was told by the representative that the card will be held on file in case we (the consumer) chose to pay by debit card. I told him that I had been denied for the loan, and he stated that they will not use the card and because the loan was denied. They will destroy the card information.
Well, to my surprise this morning (May 30, 2013) when I checked my bank statement, there is a pending transaction from Speedy Cash in the amount of $0.01 (Please see attached statement of transaction). Even though it is only one cent, the problem is that I never gave them authorization to charge my account anything. They don't have that right! This raised a concern, and I began to get down to the nitty gritty and will continue to. I decided to read the reviews on Speedy Cash which is something I should have done before applying with them. Well, lesson learned!
After reading similar reviews, I decided to send them an email to keep a paper trail because talking to them on the phone, though the calls are recorded, they can lie and erase to their benefit. Please see attached email to Speedy Cash from me and also their return response back to me. After reading the reviews, I am trying to be one step ahead of them because I don't know if their next step is to try and rip off my checking account. After all, they do have my information in full. In the event that this happens, I have proof that I never got approved for a loan from them and never had one in the past. As the other people whose account was tampered with, I would like to see that $0.01 put back into my account because you did not have authorization to charge it. I pray I don't encounter any further bad experience with Speedy Cash.

Tracey- One of our many important steps during the application is to verify banking information. This keeps our customers secure and prevents fraud. One way we verify banking information is to take out and then replace that $0.01 so we’re not inconveniencing you. This is a similar process that you will also see many other companies do to verify banking information (for example: PayPal and even some gas stations). However, they never kept the arrangement to draft my account on the third and instead of calling in a timely manner, they would wait up to 11 days after the payment. And since I'm in the hospital, I had no idea that my van especially made for my wheelchair is in repossession and every time I call customer service, I get the runaround. This review is written as a buyers beware/remorse, and does actually represent an actual client and experience. Not all experiences will be the same. I obtained a loan at Speedy Cash. That was actually in 2011. At that time, everything was going well in terms of making payments. All of a sudden, I was told to come in so that they can give me a better deal to pay off my loan quicker in just 14 months. It is now 2013. On a small loan that I took out on with on-time payments and never missing a date, as of 05/2013 according to bank statements I reviewed, it still totals to $1,765.15; and I have yet to reach the 14 month mark. It seems that none of the prior loan payments were paid on this loan. When this loan is completed, there will be over $2,000 plus paid on a $350 loan in 2011.
Please be advised of the contract information and anything that is told to you concerning payments and when the amount is to be paid. One must have a detailed understanding of the principal versus the interest, and how much goes to each one of those. Get it in writing. It is the law that a consumer has the right to have additional information in writing concerning these predatory loans in making a sound financial decision that can have a severe financial impact. Was it helpful to get out of a bind? Insightful thinking, yes; in hindsight, NO. The company has a metric system predicated towards lower class and working class people that are living from paycheck to paycheck (Mar 31, 2013 Sources: Arizona statute, Center for Responsible Lending, Arizona).
THIS, BY FAR, IS NOT THE WAY TO GO FOR A SINGLE PERSON MAKING $12.00 AN HOUR. The reviews showed that customer service replies to reviews. It states to give them a call so that they can discuss the account and identify ways to help. Please do not believe this. Customer service cannot and WILL NOT assist you with your account until you have defaulted on your loan. This is the only time that customer service will speak with you. So buyers, beware; there will be remorse.

Sinclair- We strive to inform and help our customers make the best decisions possible in difficult financial situations. You are correct; consumers always have the right to repayment information. I understand there's an interest fee for every loan you take out. What they didn't mention to me when I received the loan was that I was going to pay double the interest fee and still pay off the loan. I already made $1,400 in payments and not even close to my balance being paid off. I noticed on my receipts that my interest rates keep going up instead of down.
When I called the main company to ask why is my interest going up instead of down, she said because I'm getting charged $13.95 daily on interest charges and I have until August until I pay off my interest balance. So I have another 15 payments to make just for interest which will add up close to $8,000 just in interest and that's not including my balance. They are the biggest rip off loan agency ever. They claim to help you when needed but really they are taking advantage of people who need help. So now, I'm stuck paying a loan three times more than what I borrowed.

I'm in my 5th payday loan. This is how it works. When in your 5th payday loan, you have to pay it off and wait two days before you can get another, then getting two at a time. Well, Speedy Cash has a problem with letting me pay off my loan early. They want to resend the loan, which makes it appear that the fifth loan was never done. They told me I had to wait three days. Today is the third day and they're still telling me they will have to resend it. I have told them that I don't want to resend it because it would be like I didn't get the loan and have to do it all over again.
The customer service rep. told the supervisor I wanted to resend my loan, so she did. I yelled a lot and told her I did not want to but to pay the principal off and the full amount loan. At this point for some reason, she became deaf. All this happened on the second day and they didn't tell me about the three-day rule until I started yelling. So I called today, the third day, and they're still saying I have to wait three days. I hung up after saying I'll call back and demand to speak to the supervisor from yesterday. Now the phone system has been set to take a message or press 2 and they will call me back.

On August 8th, I walked into Speedy Cash in Birmingham, Alabama and asked to pay off my title loan. Shantelle was my cashier and after giving me the total, I paid and she processed my payment and handed me a stack of papers, with the receipt on top. I left to head to my second job. Just minutes down the road, I realized she had not given me my title. I immediately called and spoke with her and she said I had to come back and get it. I live over 35 miles away and only ride a van pool into town. That day was the only day I could get it and I was on my way to work, so I couldn't turn around. When I got upset with her, she offered to mail me the title. I saw no other option, so I agreed. Two weeks later, I still had not received the title and I got a call from Corporate saying that I was late on my payment.
When I told her I had paid it off completely, she reviewed the record and stated that there were two payments still showing on the account and she would pass it on to her supervisor and get back with me. I immediately called the local branch in Birmingham where I had gotten my loan and spoke with Shantelle again. She was extremely rude to me, saying she had mailed the title that day. I finally convinced her to look in the place they normally keep titles and she came back and said she found it and that she would drop it in the mail that day. She, at that time, said that yes, in fact, her records showed the loan as being paid in full. Two weeks later and I still didn't have the title, so I called back and Shantelle was even more rude to me. She again asserted that she had mailed the title. I opened an investigation with the postal service and George from the local post office gave me a call to let me know that nothing had been received at the post office from them that went to my address.
When I called Shantelle back, she said it was my responsibility to get my title back when I was in the office and there was nothing she could do about it. She then began stating that I had asked her to put it in the mail and that released her of all obligations. We had planned to sell the car the weekend after I paid the loan off, but couldn't because we had no title. There is no telling who has my title or what they have done with it. Even the office manager, DeCarla **, chewed me out on the phone. It has been over a month now and I cannot sell my car for at least another 4 to 6 weeks because of their inability to do their job professionally and their unwillingness to correct the situation. I have since decided to begin charging them rent every day that I do not have my title. I believe they charge an $8.11 late fee per day that payments are late. I think that will do just fine for me, too.

I received a call from a Ricardo ** stating he was with the attorney department of California at work and he wanted me to call him at **. I called this number and spoke with a man of foreign accent and he stated there were fraud charges filed against me from Speedy Cash for an unpaid payday loan for the amount of $989. I informed this man that I never received a loan from this company unless he had a sub-company like for ex. 500FastCash. He told me that I had to pay this money at $200 increments and I had to do it by Western Union. I was never given a case number nor was I given a chance to work out a payment plan if I indeed owed the company.
I was constantly called on my job and as of 5-4-2012, I was called again by this man who does not identify himself and was informed that he was going to send an investigator to my place of employment on 5-6-2012, Monday morning, and have me arrested and lose my job. I still do not know when this loan was taken out, what company it is under, and what the original amount of the loan was. I am not refusing to pay but I need some more information so I can determine if I do owe the company. I do not know what to do at this point.

I went to pay off a title loan of 400.00 dollars and was told that I had to deal with the tow company that repossessed my truck after paying Speedy Cash. I asked them if they would call the tow company and combine the two bills and I would pay both at the Speedy Cash office and the teller agreed. The amount of the buy-out on the loan was $390.00 and after her call to the tow company, the bill is now up to $976.00 and I refused to that amount and questioned why the tow company now seems to have control of my account. It has been over a month now and I have not heard from the tow company or Speedy Cash and I have no truck, I have no job from the fact that I have no transportation. Can you help?

Yesterday 4/20/12, my car was repossessed by Speedy Cash. My loan was paid in full this past Feb 2012. The dumb clerk messed up my account creating 2 accounts versus 1 account. This was cleared up after waiting 3 months. They picked it up from my job, how embarrassing. I had to borrow my co-worker's car, miss 1/2 off work and reschedule my appointments at work. I couldn't go to class and I had to get a ride to pick up my special needs child from daycare. I went home to get my receipt and my title to the car. The clerk and the manager was so rude I waited 2 and 1/2 hours in the office before the corporate decided to research the problem.
The tow company brought my car back late that evening. It was scratched up, my right rim bent, all my stuff bagged up. I washed my car today to try and get the numbers they wrote on all my windows on the driver side. I can't get it off. I'm looking for an attorney. This may cause me my job on Monday because I left to take care of this. I can't afford to lose my job. I'm a single mother with a special needs son. I work full-time and attend college part-time. This was a headache to go through.

I had a loan through Speedy Cash in October 2010, I paid it in full in June 2011. I received an email from them saying my loan is paid in full. I kept getting emails to take out a new loan since I was a customer in good standing. In November 2011 I was served papers from a company named Ad Astra, the collection agency for Speedy Cash, suing me for the loan that was already paid off
I tried to call them and even sent the suing attorney the paperwork saying it was paid and all they said was Speedy Cash says you still owe it. I had to hire an attorney and he finally got it dismissed but I still had to pay the attorney's filing fees before they would dismiss it, even though the lawsuit should have never been filed. Eventually they reported it to the credit bureau as paid in full with a zero balance. Then 2 weeks ago, they reported it as derogatory, should the original loan balance as $1,375 when I only borrowed $500 and should $510 as still outstanding and my credit score dropped 30 points.
The Speedy Cash website shows the loan from October 2010 back out as defaulted with the $510 being owed. I checked my bank account today and they took $382.50 out of my account without any authorization from me. I am so angry I don't even know what to do. I don't understand how companies like this can just do whatever they want to people and play with people's lives and their money like it is no big deal.
Well I am headed to my bank now to file fraud charges against them for taking the money out of my account unauthorized and looking for an attorney so I can sue them and get all of my money back. It is ridiculous that a person has to go through all of this because of their negligence. The undue stress they add to people's lives should be enough to shut this place down.

I am 54 years old. I lost my job right after I got a title loan. I live off unemployment. I have called them several times to let them know my circumstances and they or we tried a payment arrangement. On this last one, I was admitted to the hospital and had a nervous breakdown because Speedy Cash calls me and threatens me to take my car. I am homeless and live out of my car.
I am diabetic and can't even afford my med. Anyway, I sent my daughter to pay the payment arrangement we had. They refused the payment here in Hutchinson. Then they gave me these excuses: I broke the payment arrangement and they could not talk to her about it. I could not call them. I was locked up because I wanted and was thinking I just want to die because I cannot afford to live on what I get.
I have been trying to get my meds for the past two weeks and Speedy Cash takes all my unemployment when I had not broken the payment arrangement. I had talked to them and I told them my situation and told them that to let me get my meds and I would give them $100 before the month was over and I got up to go get my needles and insulin and Speedy Cash had already taken my money two weeks in a row. I know congress or someone can do something about this. They say they are there to help but but when we really need for them to understand the situation, they flat out do not care. I am not trying to hide. I called them to let them know I did not break my promise to pay my payment arrangement.
They refused a payment from my daughter. The managers in Hutchinson are rude, liars because they did not keep up their part of the arrangement themselves. When is someone going to do anything about this. If something happens to me because I cannot buy my meds because they are money hungry. The ones hearing from an attorney will be them.

Speedy Cash went into our bank account and signed that my wife and I wanted four hundred dollars into our checking account. When we found out about it and try to talk to them, that we did not asked for that amount they wanted our routing number and account. We did not give them the number, so we told our bank we have our checking and saving account with the claim department at our bank, took a look at it and said to us, "yes they did put money into it." We told our bank did not give them our approval at all. So they told me to tell my wife to immediately come in and they will stop and block them from getting into our account. So she did.
When that was taken care of, the next day or two, Speedy Cash was threatening us, stating that if we did not do something about the money. They would send a collection dept to force us to pay. When we saw that she told our bank and they told her do not worry, our money is fine, they can not touch it, we still have the letter from that company. Speedy Cash mailed us. We want you to that because we live off of my SSI and my Veteran check, that would take all of my money to live off of, and so want to file lawsuit against them and file a complaint against them too. One more thing, Speedy and AceCashExpress, both of them sell the customer information to that other party.

I can not find any information where to reach their headquarters.
Every Speedy Loan I have tried calling just rang and rang. This is a poor way to run a business! When I called the Rice Lake office and explained that I was going to pay off my loan, they said if I wasn't there by 2:30 P.M., my payment would be pulled out of my checking account. The following day, sure enough, my payment was pulled out of my checking account. My loan is paid off and I still have not received my receipt for my payment or my check back for my payment that came out of my checking account and payment paid for by this third party. My name is Adam ** and I am a single father in need of some help regarding predatory lending by Speedy Cash. Unfortunately, I recently became a victim of this fast spreading epidemic. I lost my job, after 3 years, in January of this year. I have been unable to obtain work due to the vast majority of people with degrees that are applying for the same everyday Joe jobs I am applying for. In brief my story is as follows:
I own a 2003 Kia Spectra for which I had to get a title loan out against it in order to pay my rent and electric when my family was unable to assist me in paying my mandatory monthly bills. I obviously was unable to pay my monthly payment one month and Speedy Cash told me they could only extend my loan out a whopping 5 more days and that was as far as they could extend it. I was still unable to pay and I spoke to one of the customer service representatives and she informed me that I had a minimum of 30 days before Speedy Cash puts in the repossession order for the towing company to pick up the vehicle.
Needless to say, on the 30th day exactly, the tow truck showed up around 3:00AM and my neighbor came and woke me up that the vehicle was being towed. After a small conversation with the driver, he stated that the vehicle was going to be taken care of and there would be nothing to worry about. Feeling assured, I handed him the keys.
I called the towing company to get a total cost and what actions would be taken if I did not pick up the vehicle right away. The towing company actually worked with me, or so I thought! The towing company only charged me $600 instead of charging the $900 or so that was actually due. The towing company had my vehicle for roughly a little over a month. I picked up my vehicle on 7-29-11 and I was shocked to see the interior of my vehicle, to say the least.
Someone or a few people had literally gone through my vehicle. My brand new windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced, my window cranks are broken on both front doors, my door panels and trim have to be replaced, 1 custom speaker box with 2 kicker subs were stolen, my fog horns were removed from the trunk and decals are missing on the exterior. There is plenty more stolen and broken. The towing company told me they were going to send someone out to take pictures. No one has shown up.
I called Speedy Cash and they told me to wait until Tuesday 8/2/11 for the district manager to make contact with me regarding I did not want to make my payment to them until we all came to some kind of resolution. Speedy cash had my Kia repossessed on Monday night, 8/1/11, with my son’s car seat and a few other personal belongings.
Please if you could help me investigate this, I want this to be as public as possible. What these companies are doing is wrong. I mean after I read the fine print, I am paying 180% interest on a $1,800 loan. I keep getting the runaround and no one wants to take responsibility. I have no answers and a car that I have to pay the towing and storage on again as well as repair the entire interior.

I applied for a loan via Speedy Cash, who sent my information out to third party lenders. I was approved for a loan with an outrageous fee so I opted not to accept and never electronically signed any financial agreements. About three days later when I logged into my checking account, some LB Pmt Systems Company had withdrawn $9.99 from my account. Furious, I called the company and of course listened to a recording telling me that if I was inquiring about a recent transaction to my checking account in the amount of nine dollars and ninety-nine cents, please stay on the line to speak to a representative or leave your name and contact information so we can return your call promptly. Of course, no one was ever available to speak to. Meanwhile, after leaving several messages on this scam company's voicemail, I have yet to receive a call back regarding this charge.
After disputing this charge with my bank, Chase, I was told that the charge will be reimbursed, however, I was advised by the customer service representative to close my account and reopen with a new account number as this company will continue to charge me in the future. After having to discuss the embarrassing events that led up to my checking account being vandalized, the Chase bank representative who handled my dispute was awful and rude claiming that this was my fault.
Thanks Speedy Cash, although I did not receive a loan with your scamming third party loan companies, I was charged and will continue to be charged just for applying. It's a scam. These payday loan companies don't help people; they make situations worse.

I took out a loan for $400. The day before the installment was due, I called to pay off the loan at $526.00. They claimed I could make the payment with a debit card.
I did not want to give them my debit card info and went back and forth with them for 20 minutes. I then told the company I would complain to the State's Attorney and Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. At that point they agreed to debit the money from my checking account (the same way they issued it) and the loan paid in full. They took the money plus the installment amount. I called and emailed. They did not respond to my emails, but the customer service representative stated the company should not have taken the additional fee. I incurred an INF fee from my bank, but my bank returned the money. The company again charged my account and I filed a complaint with the BBB.
I also had to have my bank stop payment, but my bank did not charge the $35 fee because it was in dispute. The company gave me the $35 back for the fee my bank charged, but I will never take another loan with this company again.
I was charged the fee by my bank. And it was time consuming to go back and forth with the company to file complaints with several governmental and nonprofit organization just to have them correct the error.
