My recent refinance experience through Rocket Mortgage. While the process began with what appeared to be competitive rates, low costs, and an efficient structure, my overall experience has left me frustrated and disappointed for several reasons.

Everyone I encountered was professional polite and did their best to be helpful. Once we got started everything happened quickly. The online portal was great and was always up-to-date with information. It made it very easy to submit documents and it was always clearly communicated what was needed. The closing process was the easiest I had ever experienced.

The loan system is easily accessible, and its process is both transparent and easy to navigate. The loan process was very fluid and refinancing is an option which allows us to save money of the term of the loan. Everyone should have this option and be able to access these resources.

Our experience with Rocket on our Home Equity Loan was excellent. The process was easy and the Agents, Nick ** and Jake **, were outstanding. They provided professional and friendly service. They answered any questions I had as well as being patient while waiting for documents. We have been dealing with Rocket for many years now and we continue to be very satisfied with the services we receive. Thank you very much.

The process was easy. Cindy ** was amazing. She was pleasant to work with. She was patient with me and guided me through the whole refinance process. Everything was just as she explained to me. I was worried about the on line closing process but it easy.

I was extremely pleased with the transaction. I had prompt notices about tasks that I needed to do, and was well informed every step of the way. I highly recommend Tanner Held; he was very helpful and made great suggestions, and moved my application along quickly!

My Rocket Mortgage Team was very professional and respectful. With the use of online capability they made the entire process quick and easy. Once the required documentation was the upload easy and seemed secure. They gave me flexibility in closing, which allowed me to meet with a local notary.

Rocket was so fast and everyone was so knowledgeable and always available to assist with any questions I had. The website was very easy to use from beginning to closing. I would definitely recommend Rocket to family and friends. I am so glad that I chose Rocket.

Great company. The process was easy and streamlined. I was never left wondering and everything was always explained whenever I had any questions. Everyone went above and beyond to close on my house. Rocket Mortgage saved the day! I was drowning in debt and felt like I had nowhere to turn. In a last ditch effort I applied for a refinance to consolidate my overwhelming debt. I now have 1 low month payment and enough disposable income to live comfortably. The process was fairly quick and mostly done online. The only negative I had was that checks were sent to pay my creditors. In a digital world this was a little inconvenient and costly to send the checks, not to mention the stress of hoping they get there.

Honestly this loan was way harder than it should have been. Delay after delay. Multiple times I was given the wrong information or incomplete information. Although your employees are very personable and friendly. Frequently I was given the wrong information. At least once I was told that I would be receiving $10,000 more at closing than I actually did. And multiple times I was told that I should be closing on a certain date, only for that date to come and go by. My actual closing date was several weeks later. When I asked about these discrepancies they denied telling me what they told me. However due to a bitter divorce I went through. All of my phone calls both coming and going are recorded. I was able to go back to those calls and verify that they HAD given me the wrong information. I don't think it was done maliciously. I think they just try real hard to tell the customer what they think they want to hear and not necessarily the way it really is.

From start to finish Rocket Mortgage was great, Sebastian was amazing. He knew what needed to be done to keep the process rolling very quickly and he kept me informed all the way through. With the new technology rocket mortgage uses it was real convenient to do closing via Zoom call. I would refer everyone to rocket mortgage.

The process started off as I expected similar to my previous 10 mortgage loans. Unfortunately, the tasks became very tedious due to lack of clear website instructions and excessive data collection for a person currently holding a Rocket Mortgage. I clearly submitted assets well in excess of the loan applied for. However, I was asked to submit several other asset documents that Rocket clearly knew existed but did not ask for initially. My contact person also did not indicate I would be required to upload this additional data for the loan application.

Rocket Mortgage made the transaction as easy as possible. Always there to answer questions about the progress of the loan, and happy to help. The Dashboard tool is a great way to let us know what steps were next, and what was needed from us. Thank you for a great experience!

It was ridiculous how long it took to receive the loan - 4 months. I called many a time and my loan officer said he would call me back and didn’t. Plus, he neglected to tell me what I needed to submit if they were waiting on it. I learned to use the app, as I was getting no help. Then, to top it all off, I was told my creditors would be paid directly through you. This was not the case. Instead, I received a bunch of checks in the mail and had to take 3 hours to look up account numbers and addresses. Plus, my student loan wasn’t due until 2030, yet it was taken out too.

I am always leery about refinancing. We decided to get a home equity loan to ease fiances. Rocket Mortgage made the process very easy. Everyone was helpful that I worked with during the process. It is always nice to have friendly customer service. It did take approximately 30 days.

As with any loan, getting paperwork together can be a bear. The folks I dealt with were patient with us. I do feel like there was too many different people involved in the process, however everyone was pleasant. They didn’t sugarcoat what was necessary to qualify and worked very hard on getting me through the process.

It was great working with Rocket Mortgage and Peter **. Any time I had a question all I had to do was text Peter and he answered all my questions. My account is always easy to manage. All my paperwork is in one place. All the numbers no matter how many times they changed were always in the end correct. I really felt very comfortable with all that has happened and forever grateful to Peter. He was always there for me and very knowledgeable on the process and any bumps we might incur. Thank you Peter!!!

It was a good experience overall. I found that the issuance of checks to payoff debt to be a nuisance. There are to many steps to take when the check arrives. If they were made out to the specific debtor and the checks could be taken to store, easier.

Rocket Mortgage was amazing. The whole process was fast and easy and all the staff were wonderful. They made it very understandable. A great experience. Thank you. Everyone was on top of the situation and all ran smoothly. Issues were addressed in a quick and easy fashion.

The process was so fast and easy, it seems like a movie. I highly recommend Rocket, and you won't regret it. Candice=caring=knowledge!

Passed around to toooo many people. Repeatedly sending same documents. Too many times we get, "You need to do 3 task or e sign." Do them. Few days later get same thing "Do these task". Finally get to speak to someone. "Oh we got those." Then pops up again, "We need this." And I called to see when we could count on getting our money. Suppose to be 29th. Still don't have it. "Oh well you should have made sure before the holiday hit. All the bills you were to pay." I'm concerned to call them in the morning because I'm sure they didn't get paid either. Who's responsible for the late fees cuz I'm sure we had things planned out because I have to have heart surgery the 16th. Had a guy gonna work us in to get better bathroom easy access for me. Get it done for us. A bed that raises up and down because I can't use my arms to push myself up for about 6 weeks after an our little trip we were going to do.

It is because you, Rocket Mortgage, are "ready to help" we, my wife and I, were able to apply for and get approved for a home equity loan. I wasn't sure it would happen but from the start you assured me it would. Thank you so much for working with us and helping us to close the loan in such a timely and painless fashion. I have sung your praises before and will continue to tell others of how professional, and friendly you made the process for us. We are also thankful you didn't make us feel guilty for having to consolidate our credit card debt and still have enough pocket change for a much needed vacation. Great experience. With no issues. Working with Oil was wonderful. Closing via virtual was flawless. It did take time for Rocket to do all their task but hey doing a mortgage takes time I guess!!!!! Thank you Rocket mortgage.

My wife and I had a great experience using Rocket. We made what we thought was an informational call and ended up taking the first step towards closing. Very helpful and knowledgeable people every step of the way. Great customer service. Every person we encountered was able to answer questions and steer us in the right direction.

They were great. Everyone was very kind and patient we us. They walked us through everything that was needed. The app made it really easy as well. They were there for us if they were needed for any questions that we had for them. We appreciate all their help.

Thankful Rocket made the process easy wherever possible. Customer service was responsive and helpful as could be. A few different times we had extremely long phone wait times, but it's easy to imagine a less complicated/more typical customer would not have needed to make those phone calls at all. When we complained about the phone wait, our feedback got a response. All in all, very happy and would recommend.

Although I am thankful for the loan...I would have to say communication needs to be better !!the steps on the portal is ok...but there been weeks I heard nothing!.. Then dealing with up to 4 different representatives from Rocket...? I know my loan was a little tricky due to my divorce…but with this whole process, I felt out of the loop!!.. I had to make the calls to find out the progress. Kind of disappointed with that...and I thought it took a long time from start to closing.

Our experience with Rocket Mortgage was extremely satisfying. After analyzing alternatives, we chose to again refinance with Rocket. The terms were good; the service was excellent, timely and accurate; and the process was completed in minimum time with a minimum of effort.

I had read reviews on how many had a bad experience using Rocket Mortgage. I filled out the info on a FB post by Rocket. I was soon contacted. Brief conversation with John. I spoke to him again and mentioned my concern with the reviews. He took the time to talk and explain so I decided to try. The entire process could not have been and simpler. We had one hiccup but it was not Rocket's fault. John was in contact and helped along the way. Very happy. I would recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone.

They were not honest with me regarding what type of loan I could qualify for. If you look closely, they do their best to limit reviews to only people who have established loans with them. They are very aggressive and misleading when they are trying to gain you as a customer.

My experience with Rocket Mortgage has been disappointing and frustrating. Initially, they gave me a sense of approval and requested a large number of documents, which made me feel optimistic about the process. After three days of searching for a home, I was informed that they would not be granting me the loan and that I needed to be removed from it. What’s most frustrating is that, despite knowing all the details of my financial situation, they did not hesitate to run my credit, which affected my score. I was led to believe I could obtain a loan, and then they dropped me at a crucial moment. I feel like they didn't care about my situation and acted irresponsibly in handling my application. I would not recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone looking for a reliable and transparent service. My experience has been quite the opposite.

An experience that should have been exciting was made to be the absolute worst I have had to endure, I no longer had any interest in purchasing the home. I was given inaccurate information the entire time, the loan officer, Kristina ** is a Blatant LIAR. I escalated my issue only to have them promise me that someone else would be taking over and ultimately that also didn't happen. I was put in an embarrassing predicament of having to borrow money for closing because my amount increased by 5k literally the night before. I do not recommend this company at all.

All I can say is Awesome meaning the step following to closing was great and in fast time. There was a lot less items needed to made this happen. Rocket's team was great and very helpful. It was a great opportunity to have had you to do my refinance.

The process for our Rocket Mortgage was simple and straightforward. The staff members that facilitated our mortgage were great. They were very knowledgeable and professional and assisted with everything from start to finish. Always willing to answer any questions we had. Definitely a great experience.

My husband did most of the calling and initiation, information that was needed was very easy to provide. The communication between Rocket and ourselves was great, things were very easy to understand. Our closing was the SMOOTHEST we have EVER had!!!!

I was guided through the Rocket process by Bay **. Bay very patiently answered my question (and there were a lot). The process was extremely smooth and the funding of the loan matched my goal perfectly. My local Wells Fargo branch was familiar with the rocket funding process and made for a smooth transaction on this end.

Had a very positive experience with Rocket and Jackson **. A few hiccups delayed the closing by two days but it gave me an incentive to pursue dealing with that item that I thought was cleared up in my credit report. We came up with a temporary solution that was acceptable to me.

Wow, this system is total team oriented and customer service driven. Five stars for each and every person who helped us at every stage. Every person from all the different departments were very supportive, professional and fun. A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped us through this challenging process!

The Rocket team was a joy to work with. They made the process extremely easy and comfortable. I highly recommend them. It took a long time for my sale to go through, but they always checked in to see what my status was. When the sale went through, the process was super easy.

We sold our house to someone who used Rocket Mortgage as their lender. They have rescheduled the closing three times and still not closed, strictly for buyer paperwork reasons… Please do not use this horrible lender…. Either for your mortgage or the sake of the sellers.

The online process was seamless and very quick. My only issue is once you get approved, the process slows down to a crawl cause everything needs to be mailed old school. Why this isn't all done electronically is beyond me, might be a law. Outside of that, though, the experience was comfortable. The agents you deal with were polite, smart and flexible. They respond to your queries quickly. I would recommend Rocket Mortgage to my friends.

Great experience, Jalen ** was super helpful and friendly. I love how easy the process was, from being able to upload my documents and having the notary come to my house to wrap everything up. Great communication as well, would definitely recommend.

What a completely unorganized and incompetent loan officer. The unnecessary stress due to her lack of knowledge or intentional sabotage is ridiculous. I requested to have a supervisor or another loan officer oversee it but they left the decision in her hands.

Working with Rocket Mortgage was ok for the most part. Sometimes it was hard because of the documentation that they wanted dating back 2 years ago. If you’re a contract worker or work seasonal you’ll have to provide so much more documentation as far as taxes and pay stubs dating a few years back. So if you don’t have those or can't access them it will be very hard to be approved. Besides that the process was very smooth once you’re able to give them the documentation they ask for. And communication was with their team was great. They answer all your questions and respond promptly.

Everyone was thorough and knowledgeable. Great job from start to finish. We have no complaints... Income Verification process was quick and painless. My wife was so impressed with how fast the closing was.. In and out in less than 30 minutes was exceptional.

Online submittal process and approval process was fantastic. I do wish that my loan agent was on the same time schedule as me, it would have made it easier to have questions answered during my workday as opposed to their workday. It was quite frustrating to be getting repetitive requests for same task, there was a communication break over what would have been an acceptable submittal. This could have been cleared up over the phone easily instead of waiting 72 hours.

The customer service provided throughout the loan process was exceptional. I also enjoyed the ability to view the online dashboard to access "My Tasks" and upload the required documentation. I could also see what others were doing once my tasks were done. The process closed just as it was initially explained to me. All-in-all, I am a very satisfied customer.

My rep, Kiya ** was very professional, responsive, and terrific. I was pleased with his service and the timeliness of his outreach. He kept me updated along the way and was quick to alert me when tasks needed my attention. I also appreciated the digital interface and the ability to do so much online.

The experience was great. Ayesha and Carolyn walked me through the process which went from just looking to making an offer 2 days later! We were able to buy our dream home on a golf course and we are enjoying it as we speak. I would recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone.

It was a smooth process and both Kevin and Paul were incredibly helpful & responsive. The online portal was excellent and the only confusion I had was when I didn't have exactly one of the documents required. It'd have been helpful to have a FAQ or something to reference at that time.

Their team of experts (Xavier and Sabreen) helped our family reach a milestone that will in turn change the direction of our financial goals and sets us on a path to a better financial life. I don't buy or refinance homes on a regular basis, but if I need to do it again in the future...Rocket Mortgage is so I'll be using.

It was a good experience overall except some confusion with agent who initiated it and not always clear in text responses. My call with her to go through the pre-qualifying questions felt rushed and cold honestly but she answered promptly. The gentleman who did the property valuation seemed very nice and was extremely communicative and understanding. The notary was exceptional and very nice and helpful.

We used Rocket Mortgage back when it was fast and reliable. My 2nd son to now use Rocket Mortgage has now lost because his offer could not be validated until he had is approval letter whch keep in mind took 2 days for to get to him. And now here we are after we lost out on the first home. He is at a 2nd home and here we go again, called yesterday, no answer. Now a day later still don't have the approval letter so now we are taking a chance at this house going from under us too. WTF is going on with rocket mortgage and why and the hell is it taking 2 days to simply increase the amount by 5,000. I mean COME ON GET IT TOGETHER!!!! I will tell people to avoid rocket mortgage and I mean I will go out of my way to make sure thousands of people know you will lose every home you put an offer on because of this company. Get it together slackers!!!!

The loan process was easy and didn’t require much paperwork from me. Good customer service. Tony and his team were great! The only thing was doing the payoffs to credit cards. I understand why they do checks but that is so old school. Either pay off the cc company for the customer or put the money in the checking account for quick electronic transfers. I made payments at about 4 banks and had to mail two other payments. Too time consuming, I do electronic transfers all the time. It would have saved me some hassle.

Let me preface that if it wasn’t for all the difficulties I encountered with the underwriters (which would have happened regardless of the lender I chose and I realize that) regarding my income, I would have gladly given 5 stars. Hell 10 stars even. The mortgage process was streamlined and you see everything that’s happening every step of the way. Even after you close, you can still view all your important documentation right in the online portal. Monthly payments are also made in the same portal.

This is my second time working with Rocket Mortgage. Everyone is kind and courteous. All teams are knowledgeable and go out of their way to help. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a mortgage. They went out of their way to closing and got me a great interest rate.

We were told that we would automatically qualify for new interest rates if they drop in THE FIRST YEAR! It’s been less than 6 months, but in order to get the new interest rate we will have to pay $8000 closing cost and go through the entire process again, including paying for a new appraisal that was done less than 6 months ago. Apparently the person that worked with us through our loan was a liar.

The loan officer was great. He did everything to get the best rate. Rocket has an inefficient system of payouts. I don’t know the reason. They have this “system” of sending “checks” to creditors that the customer - cannot deposit - has to mail it in - however banks WILL NOT honor this because the value is higher and the banks force you to “spend” a value equal to or higher before they will even accept the check. I had to spend a lot of $$ to get a cash advance (suggested by the cc company) - only then they would accept Rocket's check which is equal to or higher in value.

The Rocket team is very knowledgeable in what they do, especially when it comes to credit. I saw a willingness to help borrowers achieve their goals. The lender had a streamlined process, making it easy to submit documents and track loan status. The closing happened without issues.

Very professional and demonstrated knowledge of the products and processes. Scheduled requirements were completed on time, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. Displayed a caring personality and always available to answer any questions we had. I would recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone needing to finance and refinance a home and definitely recommend the Client Care Specialists Team of Thomas McMichael and Associates. The process was nice and smooth until we got to closing. There is a lot involved in closing and my experience with Rocket Close was not the best. You get a ton of emails but very little personal communication and there were times a phone call would have saved us some time and anxiety.

It was quick and easy. The gentleman who assisted me was very nice. It was then done mostly through the app and online. Only struggle was, I didn't know how to tell someone something that was slightly different than what I had a choice to check. In the end it didn't seem to be a problem.

Declined refi because internet not in my name. I see most people have had good experiences with Rocket Mortgage. Let me tell you about mine. 1st they already have my mortgage, that is number one. We have almost 800 credit scores, the house appraised fine, I sent all of the paperwork they asked me for except my internet/cable bill at this address. I sent the power bill! My sister is paying the internet because she is living there and instead of paying rent she pays these two bills. After jumping through the normal refinance hoops and wasting our time, the loan was declined because I could not prove it was my primary residence since the cable and internet are not in my name. Sebastian promised me a good experience and now he says this is out of his hands. I will never recommend this company to anyone and as soon as I can refi and get this out of Rocket Mortgage I will do so.

Everything went as planned except I had to occasionally request follow-ups. The process took about five weeks from my initial phone call to closing. Very very painless. Took some patience from the coordinator and my continued computer ignorance to finally get all the required paperwork submitted. Fun fun fun. Closing was quickly accomplished. Check was sent overnight on Friday and I signed for it on Monday. Seems overnight means something different to UPS. Anyway, pleased with the Rocket Mortgage team for getting everything accomplished.

Everything was simple and easy to do. Didn’t have to travel anywhere to get paperwork. The agent I had was super helpful and was able to get back to me in a timely manner if she was unable to take my call. I would definitely recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone who is looking for a simple process that is laid out well and easy to follow.

My experience with Rocket was excellent from the initial Loan application process to the closing. The loan officer/banker was patient, knowledgeable, addressing all of my questions. If ever I need to refinance again, I would definitely request to work the same person.

I worked with some very nice people, especially Quy ** who went out of his way to help us close. He met us at the hospital, handled the closing and made it very easy for us. Thanks to all of you. Jon was very helpful in getting us set up for the application and in getting us the loan. My score is over 700 on most sites. Hope somehow the interest rate goes down.

Getting to the Closing took too long. Verify my account. Routing no and account number. I also verified with my bank that I had the correct number and for some reason it was deposited into another account so I don’t know if this was a bank to bank issue but once the funds were transferred I was able to get the major project under way.

Cannot recommend Rocket Mortgage more. This was truly the smoothest process for us and I’m so thankful. My realtor didn’t have the best experiences in the past with Rocket and told me to be cautious. She told me this experience changed her mind and that she’s never had a house close this smoothly!

From the start the process has been so easy and the service was and is second to none. I appreciated that anytime I had a question I picked up the phone and called. Got direct answers everytime! The closing process was second to none the contractor who did it was super intelligent and knew his stuff!

I took notes during this time but cannot find them. However, one of the most frustrating things was the underwriter requesting the same forms over and over. I’m 73 and hope to see 74 but dealing with Rocket Mortgage I was having my doubts. Giving me different closing dates time and time again. Not understanding one thing about a Sheriff's sale or what living in rural Oklahoma was all about.

Sebastian R. was our loan originator. He gave us three options for type of loan. Then followed through on a daily basis. He even got back to us on his day off, knowing we were on a timeliness. Thanks EVERYONE who helped us! Yes, we will recommend ROCKET Mortgage.

Our experience with Rocket Mortgage was really good, they did things in a timely manner. Very professional and very polite. I really appreciate what they did for us. They worked really hard to get the interest rate down.. And the communication was really plain, we understood everything that was going on.

Very disappointed in the way my loan was handled. Interest rate was changed multiple times prior to closing. Also, after I had a consultant call to make an offer to close at a certain rate with a credit. Then the rate changed again prior to closing. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Will most likely be the last time I deal with Rocket Mortgage. Spoke to a member with customer resolution team to further be advised that there was nothing that could be done.

The process worked and we are now happy with the results from Rocket Mortgage. We are not computer savvy and I did disclose that at the time of original application and was assured he would be there to help with the process! Unfortunately we were disappointed when we reached out on more than a few instances with no response! Mike was friendly and seemed like he was patient with me but I do know he suffered a tragic personal loss so not sure if he was not able to cope with me or my questions? I started out to get ahold of some of the $115,000.00, or so Equity I had in the home. I found that they didn't want to do that, exactly, but wanted to refinance the whole thing. Once I got over that we were able to move ahead. I'll probably sell out fairly soon and find another place.

We choose Rocket Mortgage for our home-buying process based on consumer reviews and we are happy with our choice. We felt they had our best interests at heart right from the beginning. We did receive some monthly payment estimates that were a few hundred dollars lower than the actual monthly mortgage amount that we will be paying so there was a bit of a sticker shock, but Rocket helped us out with various credits and we appreciate that. It was a wild ride! Not the fault of Rocket Mortgage but a greedy ex-wife and her unscrupulous lawyer. Amie ** helped me with EVERYTHING! She guided me through both, yes both, attempts to get er done in a very trying period in my life. I was reluctant to go with an "online" mortgage instead of my local credit union, but these guys handle so many mortgages that they make all the hassles and hoops seem easy. I would recommend them to friends and even the strangers reading this review.

I worked with 2 or 3 people from here. All were awesome. They went above and beyond to help me out. Great company and team to work with. We moved a few things around until the refinance would work for us. They all showed a great deal of patience. They kept in constant contact throughout the process.

From the first phone call about what I was looking for in a refi through the remote close; the entire process was simple and easy. Eugene listened to everything I was telling him and never tried to sell me anything I wasn't looking to do. He helped me get to where I want to be and was able to get a me a loan that lowered my rate and years to pay off the house.

Rocket Mortgage sold my contact info and I started getting a dozen calls per day for a month. Nothing could stop the continuous sales calls. Not only that, Rocket Mortgage continues to call, even late at night, and their phone reps are trained to push and push and push, even after you've said no, thank you repeatedly.

Our experience working with Rocket is always seamless. We worked with Nores and he was very helpful, answered all our questions and even called a couple of times on request through text. Everything we asked for and about was delivered. As always, thank you!

If I could give 0 stars, I would, they did not update information and I had reapply 3x for same home. They have moved closing date 3x because they do not follow through on their end, say it's the agent who schedules... There is no agent, never had one owner and buyer. Would not disclose what had to be in homeowners policy, paid for first, have to get new, wait for refund, and they approved new and now don't like it, gave insurance contact info. They said wrong number, but it worked for me, now it's a glitch in their system. Still trying to close on home, only using to close will refi as soon as possible, too late to go somewhere else. They have today to schedule closing or I lose the home and will be homeless. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I had a great experience with Rocket Mortgage. After dealing with Loan Depot, New American Funding, SAGE, and others, I was frustrated with them for dragging me along even though I was upfront about my work history. I had a gap due to a health scare and they offered to assist but at the end they rejected me because of that gap! With Rocket, it was a lot different. I informed them of my issue and they said they could help and they did. My loan process was smooth and simple! Even the closing and signing was easy and quick! I’d definitely recommend Rocket Mortgage!!

Is where they ask for photo ID and ask ridiculous questions for which I failed and you sent a notary to my house. Which you should have done in the first place. Other than that it was great ty.

It was great from start to finish, Kyle was helpful in explaining everything, since it was my first home. I got the run around from my own bank, but was up and ready to go within a half hour with Rocket.10/10 I would definitely recommend Rocket to friends or family.

We started our refinance journey on June 24th. It started out great. Then turned into a nightmare. We barely got closed on July 31, 2025 and that was only because we finally had to get a director involved. Rocket Mortgage dropped the ball so many times and between each request they would wait 48 to 72 hours to review to give something else that needed to be done. Keep in mind we provided all required documentation or actions usually within the hour of request. We even had a closing scheduled after sitting on hold for 30 some minutes and poof, when time came to get the email for the link, they had no record of the closing appointment.

Rocket Mortgage has an easy-to-follow Dashboard that led me through the process with ease. Questions were answered quickly. My request was handled in less than 40 days from application to closing. Setting up auto payments was a breeze and even allowed me the option of setting up Bi-weekly payments.

When my son told me he wanted to buy an apartment, I told him we need to contact Rocket Mortgage. I already have two previous mortgages with Rocket Mortgage and the process, help, rates, etc. were great. Once again, Rocket Mortgage did not disappoint. Thank you for all your help!

This process which should have taken around a month ended up being almost four months because of the lack of knowledge by the people involved. First by trying to accomplish a loan which couldn’t even be done in the first place. That wasted at least a month. Then when it was determined the right path to take there was one thing after another that was asked for us to do that was supposed to take care of everything needed only to end up being another thing. Three different closing dates, one fiasco after another was just too much to have to deal with. Would never recommend Rocket to anyone and as soon as the rates go down I will be refinancing somewhere else.

From the very beginning, the process was very smooth. It was quick to get everything processed and the information that was given was very quick. The only negative I would give, is that we actually had to send in the checks to our creditors instead of Rocket just paying them off. That was a very time-consuming piece of the process. All in all, I would recommend to someone else.

I love that everything is digital and how responsive and accessible the loan agents are. There were some surprises at the end as some things that should have been included on the closing costs were not (lawyer fees, realtor fees, etc). The initial rate given by Rocket was a little higher than others, but they were willing to price match once I provided those offers. Their fees are a little higher as well, (less than $500) but given the ease of use and ready access to loan agents, I was ok with the minor increase in fees. Overall, I would recommend Rocket to my friends and family, especially those that prefer digital and SMS engagement. Their app also makes things convenient to upload and handle your mortgage on the go. On a side note, after getting my mortgage, I was hoping to get their Rocket visa only to find out they stopped offering it, which was a bummer.

Always checking in to make sure everything is going good even after their part is done. When giving instructions they will call you and help you through them if need be. This is my second mortgage experience with Quicken Loans/Rocket Mortgage with a whole different team of people. Both experiences were top notch. My realtor tried to convince me to work with a friend of hers at a local brick and mortar location, but I just KNEW this was the right choice for me and I wasn’t wrong. One of my favorite features was the ability to adjust my approval letter myself online at any time, which really helped me in the negotiations process. They really have everything figured out to be super user friendly and are still really personable.

This is my third loan with Rocket Mortgage and every time it has been a smooth and quick process. My loan officer called to check up with each milestone and was very honest in his explanations. The website was also easy to use and follow. I would recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone.

I wanted a $25,0000 loan and essentially Rocket was directing me into 15-30 year heloc rather than providing a personal loan option. It wasn't until I discovered and secured a personal loan from another company that Rocket then started sending me emails pertaining to their personal loans. Naturally they should be presenting which loan is best for their client and not try to sell they on something that's clearly not needed for the situation.

Shortly after initiating our application, my husband and I started receiving a flood of calls from competing lenders. It was immediately clear that our personal information had been shared externally. This barrage of unsolicited outreach continued throughout the process, turning what started as a seamless experience into one that felt intrusive and frustrating. While I appreciate the efficiency of the overall process, the unexpected breach of privacy left us disheartened. We hope you’ll consider stronger safeguards around customer data going forward.

Rocket Mortgage - Great reviews. Be careful of the bait and switch. They pull you in and make changes to the contract during your 30-day closing process. For me, mysteriously, the closing costs went up by 10k. No explanation or justification. I was unable to contact the Broker Josh, nor his manager, Dustin. I would not recommend them.

They walked us through each step and were very encouraging. It was nice because they were always cheerful and knew how to help figure out where we needed help working online.

Very easy and smooth. Found updates on the dashboard. Joseph ** was wonderful to work with. Always was very responsive to our questions. The chat on the webpage was very helpful and response answer in timely manner. Highly recommend Rocket Mortgage for refi options. Joe worked to find our best option that worked for us. The closing was close to us, which was great and worked out very well.

People are dishonest, started the process with excellent credit. They ran my credit report so many times card copies inquiries. Credit went down to four. They raised my interest rate. Took a month to six weeks and then I had a call to find out where the money was. Wasn’t in the bank when they said it was gonna be. No idea with the checks to pay other bills with. It didn’t give me no Tracking numbers, no dates. Who is transporting the MONEY? Horrible experience. Would never ever recommend them. They are snake oil salesman.

I have tried for several days to reach somebody regarding my payoffs after I receive my loan, however, I haven’t gotten no answers nor any assistance. David, the original loan officer gave me a number however no one at that number could assist and it’s disappointing not knowing when these loans would be paid off by Rocket Mortgage per the contract.

Overall a good experience. The loan agent answered any questions I had and when he couldn't do the original loan I asked for he came up with an alternative. However, the difference between the original payment quoted and when I got my first estimate was $400 more due to taxes and insurance, which is a lot of money to me. The more we moved forward the more loans they were paying off and the less I was getting back which was the original point of the loan, to get money back to put into fixing up our home.

The process went smoothly. I particularly liked the way everything was handled online including the documents required. The only thing that I would suggest is a negative would be that I was asked to provide information three times after I had already supplied said information. Other than that, and the amount of time required to close the loan, it was a painless experience.

The process was extremely organized, fast and efficient. It was seamless and was over before I even realized it. The paperwork was available for review as promised. The checks are en route and the wire transfer already has been processed. I’m beyond pleased. Sometimes I thought the process was going too fast because I had trouble keeping up.

He initially called me and we talked months ago, his sincerity was evident to me when initially things were just not right so we tabled it month to month. When things changed on my end, he was there to help and we started the process. I can't say enough about how professional he is. His clarity and transparency through the process is the only thing that made it happen. He deserves 6 stars out of six stars. On the other hand, there were a few departments that showed lack of compassion, respect and almost tanked the whole process. For instance, a water test that was needless, I drank the water from the well for the last two years was turned in for review and it took that department almost 4 days. Unacceptable.

HOME EQUITY LOAN: Very disappointed with the entire process!! No delays on my end relative to my submissions nor credit score. The entire process was laboriously taxing due to significant delays on nearly every aspect of the loan proceedings with the Rocket Team. They do not keep the portal updated with detailed notes on what is occurring & drag their feet with document processing. In fact, it seemed the ONLY time something was posted was when a document(s) were requested from me. Please go back & check - I’d submit all documents lightning fast - no matter the timing nor inconvenience. It’s a shame your loan processors & closers aren’t as motivated. It’s difficult to reach an actual human in a timely manner. Moreover, when it FINALLY came to the closing ((5 weeks later)) we were told there was no way to have the required accounts paid off digitally.

Chad and his team were helpful and responsive. The app and online process was frustrating, not timely and needs improvement. The last minute delay of funding for several days (we still have not received funds) due to title attorney’s final review after closing that misidentified new solar panel fixture lease lien as being a real estate lien was completely avoidable and extremely stressful. Related communications except with Chad, were completely inadequate. As an attorney, my not being able to communicate with legal personnel was particularly frustrating. Fortunately, after directly contacting our loan officer the issue reportedly has been resolved but after COB on Friday. Therefore, we have seen nothing except a text from Chad, nothing has been updated in app, no emails and no new funding date, no revised documents.

During this whole process the experience was over the top. The process did not take long. All who I spoke with were very professional. I would recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone. Your name Rocket Mortgage speaks for itself. The way you do your business is a good model for everyone in this type of profession to follow.

The process after that was always very easy. We are very happy with all aspects of this experience. My interaction with Rocket mortgage was because my sister who died had two loans with Rocket mortgage. Working with this company in this situation is almost impossible as they excel in the art of delays and asking for more and more information that each take 2-3 weeks for their "legal team" to review. I sent them a copy of my sister's stamped death certificate and a letter of authority from the Probate court naming me as her Legal Representative (LOA). I heard nothing back from Rocket until I called and they told me for weeks that they could not talk to me because the "documents" (2 pages) I supplied were under legal review. They would not even tell me the amounts of the outstanding loans or how to make payments to keep these current since the Autopay feature at the bank ceases upon the bank finding out that the person died via Social Security, according to bank manager.

Everything from the first call to closing was so easy and clear. Any questions we had were answered by Tracy in a timely fashion. He was clear and concise with the entire process. Also, the lawyer from your end was so thorough and timely. We will definitely recommend Rocket Mortgage to our friends.

I went with Rocket Mortgage because of ease and fantastic customer service in prior years. My initial representative was fantastic but around mid-loan they switched me. The new guy read off a script and was not understanding of situations. They offer help if your appraisal came in upside down but I’ll be honest that lady didn’t want to actually help me whatsoever. Also very not understanding. Employment verification was a mess. The lady was rude and they had our information wrong not even to my doing. I will think twice before using them again.

My experience with Rocket was great! Everybody I spoke with and had interactions with were professional and helpful through the entire process. The only thing I would change is the notification process when there's tasks to complete. I didn't realize that I'd need to check the website multiple times a day and went a few days without completing tasks. If there was some type of text message or email that happens when you have tasks to complete, that would streamline the process that much more.

I applied for a loan explain my situation in detail they readily agree they can provide me a loan for a HELOC. It was all a big lie then they told me they could qualify me for a smaller loan and then I have to reply for a second loan beyond that and refi the first one. I'm not sure what they meant exactly but the whole thing was turning into a giant nightmare. And I walked from the whole thing. The bottom line is these people are dishonest. They will tell you anything to get you to provide all your information, unfreeze your credit from the credit check. Collect all the data on you and then you suddenly find out there's some issue. I would never trust these people. Avoid avoid avoid. If you need a loan go to your local bank or credit union. They will have the lowest fees and if they've worked with you for a long time it'd be a easy process.

The closing went as expected. The mortgage rep was very well prepared and organized. I was satisfied with this experience. I really don't have anything more to say about the process. We have been through this before and we knew what to expect. There were no issues and my husband and I were satisfied with the process. We thank you very much. Dealing with Rocket mortgage has been good. No unexpected issues (other than issues with HELOC payoff) and loan representatives were all helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process. Process took a little longer than expected primarily due to the issues of getting the payoff to my HELOC loan. My personal loan representative Candice ** was very helpful and patient dealing with us which we appreciated.

While most of the time I found the agents very attentive, we lost it all at the end. I was very reticent to have my car paid off through the title company and closing, and I expressed my concern that it wouldn’t be done in a timely manner. The title company reached out to Rocket Mortgage several times, I was told and over and over again they said they did not have my statement for that account. At no time was I contacted for assistance and I had been told not to pay it myself. I did send my statement to Rocket Mortgage weeks ago when they asked for it. That is how they had the amount for my cash to close. I feel as though the late payment that I’m going to have on my record is frustrating in light of the fact that it is avoidable. Either that or I’m going to have to make a payment and have it refunded, also frustrating.

Every time I had a question, they were always available to either answer immediately or they would get back to me in a timely manner. And at times when I didn't understand something, and got a little cranky, one or the other would explain things to me. In a manner that I could understand. I plan on this being the last house that I buy, but if I ever do buy again, I will definitely use Rocket Mortgage. Once again, a great team and company.

This has overall been a great experience. All involved were very friendly and efficient. They gave me a timeline that was followed completely. I was constantly updated on the process. It also helped going online to check the progress. Whenever I had a question, they were really quick to respond. I would highly recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone.

I had been considering a second mortgage for a while. I even started the process a few times with other representatives, but something always held me back. Then one day, Elizabeth called me—and the way she spoke gave me an immediate sense of ease. I felt I could trust her, and that’s what encouraged me to finally move forward. Elizabeth was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to understand. She was extremely patient and took the time to answer all of my questions, even giving me her personal cell number so I could reach out anytime. She explained everything clearly and thoroughly, and kept me updated throughout the entire process.

We got all the help we needed by Paul. He was very nice and helpful the whole time. At a few times we had questions and he always called back and answers in a timely manner. The speed of which we got the loan was great as well. Very great service and would absolutely recommend.

The equity was easy to apply for and being walk through all the steps greatly helped out. The process was fast and secure, the staff was friendly and professional. Submitting the required documents was simple and fast. The closing process was quick and being able to do it over a live video feed was convenient.

I went on their website just to look. Now I am getting numerous calls and the people won’t take no for an answer. They are rude and harassing. I have had to block over 30 numbers and they refuse to take me off the call list.

Service was not up to par. Not attentive at all. Lack of callbacks and verification of needs or concerns. I could not get the information I needed because once the primary person sent the loan over to underwriting and processing, the entire process seemed long and out of touch. I tried to contact who Rocket had on the site but he stated that it was up to the closing folks.

At first Rocket Mortgage was great, I was pre approved for a first time home loan and the numbers were good, everything seemed on the up and up. The dashboard to-do list was a nightmare. It took several attempts to link up accounts, and a full week of my loan officer texting me everyday with a new task, retaking pics of documents and submitting them for review. Between that time, there was alot of waiting and wondering...the whole ordeal seemed unprofessional, unhelpful, and like pulling teeth to get any information. And any information, was last minute. Stay away and just keep looking for a better lender...

From the initial application to the closing documents on my new home, I have had a great experience with everyone I talked to. Everyone answered my questions and provided information and guidance throughout the process. I felt comfortable asking questions and nobody gave me bad information. I would recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone buying a home. David ** got me through the application through the approval process. He had to carry a lot of patience as the seller was dragging their feet through a lot of the time. Thank you.

Very fast and friendly service. They were there to help me all the way through my loan process. I was very impressed with the people that worked there. They kept me updated all the way through the process. If I needed anything I would just call and they would help me.

I had a terrible experience with Rocket Mortgage. I have an active loan with Rocket. I want to make everyone aware of an awful loan experience. A Rocket loan officer called me, which was one of many calls I received in the past. I was promised that if my loan were approved, I would get a better interest rate by refinancing. I did my credit check and paperwork. I was then approved and signed the documents to finish the process. I was now waiting for the appraisal, which was scheduled for next week.

While much of the loan process went smoothly and those who helped us were kind, knowledgeable and effective, many of the team managing our loan happened to be out of office when it came time to close the loan. All documents had been submitted for review and confirmed, however, someone on the Rocket side could not find them; would not validate them, and did not get them to underwriting in a timely manner. The result was that Rocket Mortgage missed the deadline set by the Title company.

Albert ** was the man I spoke to on the phone and has been with me every step of the way. He is so kind and smart and helpful. I never felt pressured into going with Rocket. I just called up one day and stated a conversation and then now I am a loyal customer of Rocket. I always saw the commercials but didn't realize how good the company is.

Other than the holdup of trying to get a structural engineer to inspect our property, the process was fast. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and eager to assist us in our loan process. We are very satisfied with our process and outcome of our loan distribution. We would choose Rocket again if we had to go through the process again.

This is the second time we have financed our mortgage with Rocket and it keeps getting better. Everyone is so helpful and the process is very easy online. I would highly recommend to a friend or anyone for that matter. Thank you Rocket for making something easy in our lives!

Connor started strong.. Quick and simple will after my father's passing. Promised a lot.. Met that expectation... Until closing.. Was in closing for 3 weeks.. No updates.. No reason. Asking for things that were previously submitted.. On and on.. Would be out of touch.. And still not closed as he missed 2 things and I have to clean up the mess. So now nearly a year.. Can't close the estate related to an oversight and poor closed loop from Rocket. Stay away.. Smoke and mirrors.

The process from start to finish only took about a month and I did not have to chase after information or wait on people to call me back. The website is very easy to use and easy to upload documentation. Response times were quick moving from one step in the process to another.

The over all experience was very good, Alex ** went above and beyond with whole experience. I would recommend using Rocket Mortgage as they are very knowledgeable and good at what they do. I do not plan on purchasing another house, but if I do they’ll be who I would choose.

Here are the key facts: My insurance policy was scheduled to expire on August 15, 2024. I fully paid off my mortgage with Rocket Mortgage and closed the loan on July 24, 2024. Despite this, Rocket Mortgage made a payment on July 16, 2024 to renew the insurance policy without my knowledge or consent. I had no obligation to maintain the insurance after the payoff, and I had no intention of renewing the policy. The insurance company confirmed that I was not required to notify them of cancellation — I simply needed to not pay the renewal premium, which was my plan.

Working with Rocket was painful. We filled out of all of the forms and waited and waited. And we would call and they’d say something like “you have another blank to upload”. And when we would say the portal doesn’t show that, no one could explain why. Repeat this at least 4 times. Because of this, our HELOC took an insane amount of time to receive.

Everything went smoothly. Lauren ** was excellent, keeping on top of everything and answering our all our questions immediately. Our closer, Julie ** also did a good job walking us through each document as we were signing. And best of all, the money is in our bank on the day promised! Best mortgage experience ever!

They do a home appraisal and get your current state home value but then tell you that you need to fix about $20k in repairs before the loan. But they don't increase your appraisal of home. .. Good way for them make extra money off you to gain more value to them. Horrible experience and appraiser doesn't know what's he doing... didn't check attic, roof sheathing, insulation and more worried about cosmetic aesthetics. Then the refinancing doesn't cover the costs they want you to make.

I was able to communicate via text for the short time it took to get all of my information to Mike. This was very helpful since I am a nurse and I do not always am get a lunch break. Once I had all my documents to Mike everything went exactly as he said it would.

Overall I had a good experience with each individual I spoke to/worked with. Two things; first I would reconsider using an out of state lender in the future simply because it seemed there were some procedures, details specific to Illinois that y'all weren't super familiar with. 2nd: Your people should be more proactive in explaining from the get go that clients will be passed on to 3 different 'specialists' and those people should be more proactive in communicating, at least to those who are in the week? Maybe 5-8 days away from closing or CTC if they are going on vacation and you'll be passed on to another new person tomorrow, instead of just getting an email auto reply saying "back in the office Monday" 48 hours before closing.
