I called different debt consolidation companies and Pacific Debt was the one that called me back the fastest. Their rep sounded good about everything so I decided to get it started. Every time I tried to call them, there’s no problem at all. If they're busy, they always call me back. They asked me to get everything together and they started getting stuff taken care of. In fact, we've got one major debt already taken care of.

I heard about Pacific Debt from a friend of mine who had used them before. My debt was out of control and I couldn't do it on my own so I contacted them. I contacted my credit advocate a lot. If I had a question, I would call her directly or email and it would be within no time and she would respond back to me. They were always super nice and always reaching out to me through emails. Knowing that I made a payment and they took care of it for me was a big relief off of my shoulder.. At least I don't have people calling me all the time.

I have been with Pacific Debt since May 1, 2015. They have been outstanding in working for me while dealing with my creditors. I shudder to think what I would do without them. I didn't pick them first over other Debt companies, I picked them because they showed they would do everything in their power to get me through my time of financial pain. One thing before I go, I have a Manager by the name of Shonna **, she is outstanding and has always been there for me. Thank you Shonna.

Thanks so much for your great review. Our team here really takes a personal approach to debt relief. We like to get to know or clients and strive each day to get them out of debt for as little as possible. Shonna really is a great asset to our team and I will be sure to pass along your compliment to our Executive team.

When I was looking up debt counselors, I was looking for ones that were able to practice in my state and who had a high business rating. Pacific Debt is a BBB accredited business. Once a month, somebody calls to update me and then everything is the same as it was before. Everything has gone the way it should have or the way it was promised. It'll be better when it's over because the money that we have going into our account won't be going out once we're through. I would recommend Pacific Debt.

I needed help with debt and was worried about credit effects. The credit advocate at Pacific Debt was very nice. I'm a busy person but they called me back and waited until I had time to talk. They managed all my creditors and talked to them. While the process lowered my credit score, it gave me peace of mind because there is an end to the debt and payments are being made more affordable. It's better than claiming bankruptcy. My experience with them has been calming and relieving.

Pacific Debt's advocates were constantly in contact with me when I signed up with them. Their representatives were kind and friendly. However, some of the facts were left out. Back in July of last year, they told me that I was going to be finished by January of this year. I know that was the date I was told because every time I spoke with anyone and correspond about whatever is going on with my account, I made notes. Now, they tell me I have another year and a half.
Also, I realized they were going to get a fee but I was not made aware they were getting a fee for each account they were closing out. Moreover, my bank folded my account in January because I didn't have enough funds in it and they thought I was getting mail. I wasn't looking for more mail to come from any of my creditors because my account has been under the program for so long.
There was also one incident with one of the credit cards that I had. I assumed that it was in the program as well. But I came to find out that one of the cards that was not in the program had taken me to court and they garnished. I was not made aware of it until after the fact. I was very upset because I had two credit cards with that creditor. If they would have seen that I paid off one of them, they should have automatically assumed that I was still in the same program and was going to pay off the other one. I was very disappointed.

We are certainly sorry about the misunderstanding regarding the completion date of your program, as well as how and when we earn a fee. Pacific Debt does not charge any upfront fees, we only earn a fee after a debt is negotiated and you approve the terms of the settlement. I will make sure your Account Manager reaches out to you to see if there is anything further we can do to assist you in this matter.

I went to a different company and they took all my money, did not return it, and did not pay anything off. It's horrible for a senior citizen because we're on a fixed income. It was over $1,600 and that's a lot to lose. I looked on the computer and saw Pacific Debt. I saw all the recommendations that they had so I knew they were a good company. They were approved by people that's why I chose them. I know they aren't gonna cheat me like the other company and they have been really good. I picked over different companies and there were four different bills from Capital One and they paid them all off so it's great. I'm encouraged now. I know eventually all my debt's gonna be paid off and I'm happy about that. I tried to go through debt counseling and they wanted to pay it in full which I couldn't do because it was such a big payment. So Pacific Debt is a great relief. I would recommend them to a friend.

Gwen, thank you for the great review. We truly appreciate it and are glad you found us. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bad actors out there that take advantage of people looking for real help, we are sorry you fell victim. If you ever need us, don't hesitate to call. We've been in business over 15 years and will be here to help you every step of the way.

Pacific Debt was very helpful and accommodating. They followed through with whatever they said. They would contact me on a monthly basis, email me what they have accomplished to get rid of some of the debt that I had, and call me on the telephone and discuss my situation. They have handled each one of my creditors individually and resolved about 50 percent of what was needed so far. Pacific Debt worked out well for my circumstance and I would recommend them.

Also, I was always able to contact them when I needed to. Pacific Debt were able to setup the program with us, went through our card debt and together we figured out how we were going to take care of it. I am happy with the progress that is being made with settling my accounts with creditors. I have over 12 accounts in the program and several accounts have been paid in full, and the large majority are in settlement payment arrangements. Pacific Debt stresses that debt settlement is a partnership. As long as you sent them all correspondences from your creditors and keep open communication between yourself and your assigned account manager, the program will work for you. The Pacific Debt program is indeed working for me and I am on the road to being debt-free. I would highly recommend this company. I would not go anywhere else. They do what they say they will do to help you.

Thank you for your kind words and we are so happy that your 12 accounts are being resolved as quickly as they are. Our team will continue to work hard for you until all 12 accounts are completely settled.

We've got 42 months left and so far, it's been awesome with Pacific Debt. They have been working wonderfully and have taken care of everything for me. We're happy campers. Pacific Debt has worked with me to take my debt issues off my plate. Before I worked with them, I was getting a dozen collection calls a day. I went four months without answering the phone unless it was my husband. Now, I can answer my phone and it's wonderful. The person I have now is the longest one I've had since Pacific Debt changed their advocates. I could communicate them at any time. All I had to do was email them and they would reply back. And they've answered my questions. Some of them negotiate really good. We negotiated on three accounts and only one was bad. They didn't do a good negotiation for me because by the time they added all the interest fees and I'm paying what I owed, I'm still gonna have a strike on me. But other than that, I'm pretty much happy with it.

Bryan was the gentleman who was helping me. He used to call me and let me know what was going on in case there was something that I needed to sign. I haven't heard from him this month but he was calling me at the end of the month about one of the accounts that I had. Pacific was supposed to see if they could do some kind of dealing with them. Pacific reached out and tried to settle with them. And that was last thing I had, but everything else was done. It wasn't a hard experience for me at all. When I spoke with Pacific Debt, the first person was extremely helpful and kind. The customer service was fantastic. I interact with them as often as I needed to if they needed to call me, but they did everything they needed to do. It wasn’t too much contact and so it wasn’t overwhelming. Cutting my monthly payment in half has increased my well-being in life, and my level of stress has gone down tremendously. I'm not overspending, but I am able to say yes to the movies and order dinner which I couldn’t do before because my payments were too big. I wish I'd known about it a few years ago, but I didn’t realize that there was something like this and that a company could work as hard as they have. The main thing was them not being judgmental or harsh in any way at all. They were understanding of my situation and what I needed and that made all the difference. That’s the kind of company I want to work with and I'm happy with them.

I am having a good experience with Pacific Debt. I'm very satisfied and they're really doing a good job. I feel very comfortable with them. I'm so tired paying my credit monthly. The amount that I owe is going up and up and it's like I'm gonna pay them for 20 years. I saw Pacific Debt's website and I called Erica. She then explained to me everything. I agreed with it and they called me the next day.
They're really fast making some action. After six months they settled most of my debts. My credit advocate get in touch with me every time they settle. They call and interview me by phone to ask me if I agree. We will have a three-way call with a creditor then they settle it for a low amount and I am surprised by that. I think I got a couple of creditors right now because I don't have enough funds anymore. Erica has told me that they're gonna start settling those two next month. My creditors stopped harassing me, I don't receive any call or mail. I have recommended them to my co-worker already and I gave my co-workers their number.

I was in debt and I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t pay my bills and I could barely pay rent because I had a lot of commute and it costs $150 bi-weekly just to travel to my job - that’s only the bus fare. I was lucky when the house I was renting decided to sell the house so I had to move out. I contacted Pacific Debt and told them what my problem was and they were glad to help me. They called me back because I was really unfit because the creditors were after me for their money. I gave them all of my creditors and Pacific Debt talked told them they were taking over and I haven’t heard from them since. So the money I give to Pacific Debt is to pay the bills off for me. Now, I'm managing my money better since I've been with them. I'm not in debt and I'm paying off bills. Hopefully, I will have every bill paid off by the time I retire this year.

I heard about Pacific Debt from another consumer company that said they were good. I left one company to go with them because it was $80 cheaper and I was in a crunch. I was concerned I wouldn't have the money each month for the other company that I have started out with. In the beginning, Pacific Debt kept in contact and asked me to send them the bills that I accumulate so I've been emailing my bills to them as they change companies or other companies buy them. Anytime I call them, I can talk to Brian and I always get him. I thought I could have my bills paid off in maybe two years but it doesn't work like that. It's not exactly like I thought it would be, but I just want the bills paid off but everything else is okay.

Thank you for your feedback on your experience. We strive to get you out of debt as quickly as possible. We know that it is a big financial commitment and can be difficult at times. If you have any outstanding concerns or are unsure about how the program is working for you, please reach out to Brian and he can certainly address all of your concerns and give you a full update.

The whole game plan was to allow the accounts to go into forfeiture and then Pacific Debt to work out its settlement with the company that pays them a percentage of that and that's going pretty well. Some have gone better than others as far as the percentage reduction in the debt and some we could do better on and we will, but it's all been within the framework that we started with as far as the live percentage. They're doing a good job. When it's time to move or something, they're ready to work and my account manager, Nicole, is also doing a good job. So it left me with losing all my money, plus racking up a lot of debt on my credit cards. I was trying to handle it on my own but the payments to each credit card company was just too great. It was just too much for me to handle and still continue with my life. I had to do something and Pacific Debt helped me so I just had a set amount I have to pay each month. I was in a lot of debt and came across Pacific Debt and reached out. I've read a lot of reviews that they mess things up, they don't take care of things and makes it a worse situation for you so, I was very nervous, even scared, to go through with it. I'm not sure how they would handle it, where I would end up at the end and how much it would cost me. But I felt very comfortable with them so I decided to move forward with the program. I've been with them almost three years in the program and probably another year and I should be done with everything.
If I had to email or call they were always available and usually called within a day. Also, they always reached out to me every month just to check in and see how things are going, regardless of how many times I've talked to them since day one. They've always been very helpful no matter what. I've reached out to them in terms of questions and even if it was the same question just to get a better understanding, they've always been very upfront, explaining everything to me and taking care of me like I wasn't just someone who is giving them money.
They gave me a set amount that I would be paying every month. And the plan would be between three to four years, depending on how low they got the creditors to come down. But right from the get-go, they got one of my cards within a month, was the first one, and then two other ones came right after. So it went really quickly. And the payments have always been the same. So, it was fairly easy to work with them and let them know about the funds and set it up coming out of my checking account. The set up with Discover was one of the creditors actually takes the payment directly from my account, as opposed to going through Pacific Debt. And if there was an issue upfront where they took the payment out too early and I didn't have the funds in there, they worked with them and made sure everything was fine and they didn't hold anything against me and the funds got back in there. So they've done very well with that.
My score was affected upfront, which I knew, but I had pretty good credit to begin with. It was just the amount of debt. And now my credit score is back up again and getting up higher. So, I feel very comfortable with them. It was a game changer for me 'cause I knew I would be paying that forever and I felt like I would never get out of it. Everyone at Pacific Debt has been fantastic. Settling is easy to deal with knowing it’s my money and facing my future with my credit score. So, I couldn't be more thankful to have found that company to handle my debt.

At first, it was either we use Pacific Debt or declare bankruptcy and 90% of it was medical bills but we couldn’t prove that because we didn’t keep a record of things even credit cards. It was major decision for us but there was nothing about Pacific Debt that we hesitated about. We looked at recommendations and reviews and what the Better Business had to say about it and they were very high. However we're on Social Security and that's our only income. Both my husband and I have very high medical bills. All our medication costs a lot of money. And I thought, "How are we gonna do this? They’re gonna ask us to pay. We’re not gonna have any money to eat.” And the first question they asked was “What are you living on now?” We said, “Very little and we know we can’t keep doing this.”
Pacific Debt put it down to a number that almost made us cry, because we never dreamt it would be this low. And we’re able to do it without any problems. My husband and I talked many times because we've heard horror stories about people who have done such program and we have no complaints whatsoever with Pacific. Our experience with them has been fantastically awesome. They suggested and explained how we should deal with the creditors and we did that and it worked fine. We had a couple of nasty creditors who kept sending lawyer letters constantly and every time Pacific was right there to take care of it. And finally, a couple of the companies quit sending lawyers and letters and quit threatening, because they even went to our house and hounded our granddaughter. It was ugly, but once that stopped, we have money for food, gas, pills and we still have money in the bank.

It's been 2 years now and so far, so good. The credit advocate is really good, friendly, and she calls me up and gets my approval every time there's a settlement. I also have her direct number and I can get in contact with her anytime I want.
My credit is pretty messed up. I was considering bankruptcy before and sometimes I think if I filed bankruptcy, I would've been out of debt already. Yet considering where I was before, it was better going this route. I spoke to some of the creditors when they called me and I was able to tell them to call Pacific Debt. Then everybody calls them and they stop bothering me, which was good.
Pacific Debt spoke to my creditors and made settlements on our behalf and got me approvals. They got at least half or less than half of what I owe so what they got was pretty fair. They also hooked me up with the payment amount that was nice and affordable over a certain amount of time and thank god we’re able to keep up with the payments consistently for the last two years. They're making payments on certain accounts so they have settled some accounts but there are still some they haven't settled yet.

I really appreciated Nicole who worked really hard to get the debt settled. She did everything that she claimed she would do and kept me included on all communication so I knew where I stood. Nicole gets 5 stars. The only thing I did not realize was that you get 1099 at the end of the year that states settled debts are considered income. We did not understand that, so communication could have been better regarding that.

Pacific Debt had a good rating and the team seemed okay. It started out that they could settle everything for 30% - 40%. But then nothing got settled for less than 50%. And they charged 20% each debt on top of that. So, I was really only saving 30% and I could have done it myself. We sent in a lump sum of money so we could have paid the debt off ourselves. In fact, I could have done 50% on half of them. It's a scam-type deal and I'd never do business with Pacific Debt again. It was a waste of time, a waste of my money, and a waste of my lines of credit and the reports. I wasn't too pleased. If they could have settled everything for 30%, that would have been fine. But most of the companies wanted 50% or wouldn't settle for less.

I had a lot of overwhelming debt I can never get under control. I am really nervous with my previous credit, we couldn't make the minimum payment, it was very frustrating. We'd repay it, but I noticed all minimum payments were almost $1,000 a month, the more it is frustrating that I can't get it under control. Then I heard about Pacific Debt from my father, I believe he had heard about it from one of his friends.
My credit advocate was very professional and courteous. The gentleman who helped me was really awesome. He was personable, I could ask a question and they didn't make me feel I was stupid or I was I was going through something strange. In the beginning, we talk once a week, then it was once a month, and they keep me in contact and they'd send emails. If I need to reach out to them, I'd call.
I'm still in the relief program, but they have really reduced the payout that we're having to go through. They kind of give the end result of all the credit cards I owe. We have done four settlements, they reduced one credit card from $2700 to $400. It's insane how much they've done for us. They took care of all that. It's affected a lot in a positive way because now my credit cards are finally under control. We can start budgeting things. We have more money for savings, that can be put back towards making extra payment, into Pacific Debt fund so we can go back to a different statement or a settlement next month. It has been a lot more positive, we don't have to be so consumed in trying to payoff just the minimum payment each month. Now, I just know there's a lump sum coming out every single month and it's going to come out a certain day no matter what happens. I've actually recommended Pacific Debt to everyone I can talk to.

I had a serious illness and had to leave all the credit cards till my my health situation got resolved and my credit card debt got out of control. It was $3,000 a month and I was really stressed. Then I went on disability, got my teacher retirement and my monthly income was gonna be $3,330 which leaves me $300 to make car payment, buy food, and pay for my medication. It wasn't doable and I wanted to be free from the credit card debt. I contacted several companies on email and Pacific Debt was the first one that called back.
They were really quick to respond. When I contacted them, I explained that our family philosophy was we pay what we owe and they explained to me that the credit card companies also have a choice of either accepting Pacific Debt's proposal or not. I didn’t want to really file bankruptcy and take the companies to the cleaners that way. I felt better about it and I really appreciated that. I talked to several different people to see if I needed their services. They helped me know what information I would need to give them, the account numbers and how much I owe and then explained to me that after a period of time, I would go to a specific case manager. When I talked to her, she was always nice.
Also, they explained carefully what would happen and how they work. They told me how to handle the calls and said the credit card companies would get aggressive for a while because I would stop paying anything for six months so I'd have to block them and not accept their calls. Then, I started getting letters that the credit card companies were gonna sue me and put me in prison which scared me. I did get sued, Discover gave me a subpoena so I contacted Pacific Debt and they assured me that I would not go to prison. They handled it, and I never had to worry about it. Every one of them was knowledgeable about my situation. If I called and said my name, they knew who I was, which I appreciated, because I know they have a bunch of clients. Also, I could always contact them and if I called and left a call in, I knew they would call me back that day within a timely manner always. For me, they've just been a lifesaver.
I'm still in the process of settling debt. I had 16 creditors when I entered and I'm down to eight now. I knew it would be not a quick process. They explained that it could take as much as three years so I'm pleased with the process of how fast it has moved because for six months, we didn't do anything at all. It's moving along fine and I'm pleased with it. I've already recommended them to a friend of mine. They have really been wonderful to work with and professional and knowledgeable about their business. I appreciate them.

Thank you so much for sharing your personal story. We know that being on a fixed income and carrying so much credit card debt can be a recipe of disaster. We're happy to hear that 8 of your 16 accounts are now in settlement and are confident the other 8 will be as well. We especially like to hear about the personal level of service and care you have received as a client. When we run into debt, the credit card companies were screaming and yelling. And it was a very bad time because my husband just had brain surgery. So when I found Pacific Debt, we called the San Diego number and talked with a gentleman. We did not have money to start the plan so he told us to call him when we have one to start the program. It took us three months to save some up, but it's been easy going since then.
We were in debt for around $65,000 for the car payment and Pacific Debt brought it down to $45,000. It was a nice chunk taken off. It's still a little hard each month until we get out of debt, but they helped us and they figured out how much we could afford a month. I talked to a lot of people in Pacific Debt and we've got one manager. When he had to do something else, Nicole came in and she has been a wonderful person. I even talked to their boss once and he's very nice. As soon as we get out of debt, we can start living a little nicer and put some money in the bank. They were asking me for any kind of bills I would get from the credit companies, and let me know that the creditors would be calling me up a lot, harassing me. They told me I don't have to answer the phone and to just send them all the information that the credit companies send me regarding the outstanding debts. I would email it to Pacific Debt and they took care of it. I was paying a lot of money and it knocked out my balance considerably. We are sorry to hear that you feel that we "ruined your credit".
In reviewing your file, you enrolled with four creditors that were more than 100 days past due. Several of these were over 180 days past due. This means that when you enrolled your credit score was already significantly impacted due to the missed payments. Additionally, our agreement, scripting and welcome package all make reference to the fact that your credit score will in all likelihood will be negatively impacted. If somehow you were not left with this impression we apologize.
The good news is that we have now settled and resolved three of the eight enrolled accounts. In fact your most recent settlement was just reached last week and I see Kristin spoke with you and you approved the terms. Congrats! To date, all of the settlements were for 50% of the balance or less, so you are well on your way to getting out from under this debt once and for all.
We hope you will consider re-scoring our service in light of the fact that you are making great progress and that your score was already significantly impacted prior to enrollment.

They understood us and they helped us through the process. They said that we're going step-by-step and even offered for me to check the Better Business Bureau to see their background. There were no issues against them, so I felt comfortable and then eventually got into the paperwork side of it.
The initial phase of dealing with the customer care was very good and the transition to the account manager was fairly smooth. They're quick to respond to my emails, which is an easy way to contact them. Also, I was able to get a hold of them any time I needed them. Then if I called and they're not there right away, they'd get back to me quickly. Even though I had a lot of questions, they seemed to answer them fairly quickly. They also remind me that it's a slow process to go through. So hopefully, in a couple of years or so, we'll be cleared. We're in the process of settling one account and that the next one will be starting in about a little less than a month. So I started doing some research and a gentleman referred me to Pacific Debt and we have been very happy with them.
Bryan contacted us at least once a month and brought us up to par with everything that was going on. They have set up the amount that we could afford each month and it has gone smoothly except for Bank of America which put on a lien on our property. Pacific Debt worked with them, told them what we could afford, and that was it. The only thing that got to me was their attorneys tried to pull a fast one. We had used a debt settlement before and I worked with them myself on behalf of my wife. We were being a little bit guarded and trying figure out a decent company to work with where things would turn out the way they said they would. As a marketing ploy, these companies tend to exaggerate their results trying to draw people in and then there are certain important details that they tend to leave out.
But our experience with Pacific Debt has been okay, so far. They took two accounts with the same bank that I chose not to continue making payments because they did not inform me about their entire loan program. They setup the escrow account and started doing auto-debit to collect the monies to build up the reserve to be able to settle. They removed all the excessive fees and interests and I ended up paying about what I should have paid all along on the debt on the two accounts. However, they didn't settle what they said they would as far as percentage wise on the first account. It didn't quite meet the expectations but fairly close. Also, it was a waiting game once they got everything they needed from me. They said they would have the first account settled within three to six months and it ended up being nine months.

Michael thank you so much for your feedback, it is much appreciated.
Our goal is always to settle your first account in the first 3-6 months - unfortunately sometimes that doesn't happen due to a circumstances we can not control. It all boils down to timing and money. In your case it was simply a timing issue, and since all of your debt was with the same creditor, we needed to be patient. That said you enrolled last June and we settled your first account in January, for roughly 50% of the balance. This month, we settled your final account for 50% as well. So in 10 months we have now settled all of your debt. Congratulations on becoming debt free!

My fiancé's daughter found Pacific Debt, and they seemed to be the best. I thought it was a debt consolidation place and that they'd be paying all the cards off at once. I found out later that it was debt settlement, which wasn’t what I thought I was getting. They should've been upfront with me about that in the beginning. So I'm still trying to get the cards paid off and I was hoping that the monthly payments would be low because I only get so much per month.

Thank you so much for your feedback, we truly value your experience. At Pacific Debt, it is our goal to enroll fully informed clients. In reviewing your file, I do show we completed a recorded Quality Assurance Call on June 27, 2016 - about 10 days before your first scheduled program payment. In that call - a Client Care Specialist reviewed all of the various program aspects with you to ensure your complete understanding of debt settlement with Pacific Debt. This call is in addition to everything that our Certified Debt Specialists are required to cover prior to enrollment. We do everything in our power to make it clear that debt settlement is not a loan - but a savings plan to settle your debt. We have found that many consumers have a preconceived notion of how "Debt Consolidation" works, which does create confusion at times.
With that said, it sounds like you fiance's daughter did her homework and found you a reputable debt relief provider. We've been in business for 14 years, have a BBB A+ rating and are members of the American Fair Credit Council. We also charge no upfront fees for our service.
In reviewing your file, I can see that we have already settled one of your three largest accounts and are making progress towards your ultimate goal of being debt free. Also, it looks like your Personal Account Manager, Brian, spoke with you this month on the 16th to give you a full program update. If you need anything whatsoever, don't hesitate to contact him.
Thank you again for your feedback.

If I needed something, Pacific Debt's reps were usually pretty good about getting back to me. It's the same for when I don't get a hold of them right away. This is the first time I've ever done something like this and hopefully, the last time that I'll have to do it. It's been good so far and four debts have now been settled. However, I thought that I would reach settlements with some of my lenders sooner than what I have. But it's a four-year plan so I have to have some patience. They explained that on the front end that it would take some time to get these companies to settle with us. I also blocked some calls 'cause I did have some lender calling me. I have one that got ahold of my work phone and called me, which I was unhappy about. Other than that, my experience has been okay.

I had experiences with several other debt settlement companies and at least one consumer has something negative to say about them. I rely heavily on people’s past experiences and when I read really positive reviews and nothing negative about Pacific Debt, I decided to go with them. I was initially with the QuietCare team prior to being assigned to an account manager and anytime I had any questions, I would just call and all of my questions would always be answered. And anytime I needed to send a statement, they would make sure to reach out to me. Communication with them was very easy. Although they’re not really open on weekends. I'm in Texas so the hour difference is a little bit weird but besides the hours, everything’s been great with Pacific Debt.

Four years before I got into Pacific Debt, I had enrolled in a program but I ended up backing out because something inside me just was not sure and it really bothered me. Then when I was searching online for different ways to try to control my debt, I came across Pacific Debt and it had more good reviews than bad. And in the past, the ones that I had checked into had more bad than good reviews. So I called Pacific Debt and talked to a very helpful person. He was very good in helping me understand that credit card companies are designed to where you don't ever get out of debt. And he said, "if you go back and you look, you'd already paid off your debt but because of the interest rate, you don't get anywhere." He helped me feel a lot better to go about it. It didn't leave me questioning things too much.
I only wish that they would be a little more in contact with me. I know they have a lot going, but there's a lot of times when I have to call them and they don't get back to me. I had to call two or three times and be persistent. It gets a little frustrating sometimes because I just wanted to make sure that we're on track. But everything seemed to be going smoothly. Although one day, I got a subpoena from the court from one of my programs and so I was in a little panic in a way. But within two days, they had sent me a letter that they had taken care of it. And I never heard back from this law firm, so I assumed it was all taken care of.

I was looking at consolidating my debts and looked at a few different companies. I had done an intake with some other company, but I just didn’t trust it. I reached out to my grandfather, who knows all about this kind of stuff, and I told him which companies I was looking at, and he liked the sound of Pacific Debt. And whatever he says, I do. I worked with one person on the phone and now, it's mostly email. Throughout the whole process, whenever I've needed someone, they immediately get back to me. Everyone who I spoke with answered my questions, gave me numbers and examples, and seemed pretty honest and forthright.
I was worried about my debt but once I talked to them, it seemed like something was going to work out and I was happy. I was in a bad situation but now money just automatically goes out of my account every month, and everything has worked out well very easily. I'm still paying money but the fact that someone is there to help me get through something that I'm not good at took a huge stressor out of my life. I had so much else going on that having an honest and reliable company work through that for me was really integral to my getting through that period of my life. I was going through some problems and I just couldn’t pay my bills. We had a bunch of credit cards and the payments were ridiculous. Every month, we were just paying minimum and getting nowhere. I started looking to see what I can do because I wanted to get it paid off, and Pacific Debt's number was the first one that popped up. I called them up, they explained the process and I went through them. The guy that I initially spoke to was very nice, helpful, understanding, professional and patient with me because I asked him a million questions just to see what the process would be. He convinced me. Then when he got me through everything, another lady took over. She emails me if she needs some statements and I try to comply.
The only thing I didn’t like about it would be that my credit went down, but then, I wasn’t paying my bills. But it's simplified in a way that it's the last thing I have to stress about. Creditors stopped calling so it's just made my life easier. It's been a good experience but if it was free, it would be even better. I'm into it a year now, and they’ve been able to pay off a couple of my debts already and in the process of hopefully eliminating a couple more. I've already recommended a couple of people and I let them know of my experience.

My mom has got dementia, so she has no clue. I was taking on the responsibility of paying off all the debts and so I looked for somebody to go ahead and handle it, so I wouldn't be taking all those calls. I looked at the ratings on different review sites and found out that Pacific Debt was pretty good. So I contacted them. I interact with my credit advocate for at least once a month. After we both got on the same page, Josh would call me up, and give me the percentages, and give me a lowdown, and I would tell him to go for it. He'd set all that, it was really simple. I authorized payoffs and transactions while I was in the store shopping. Josh was awesome to work with.
I get an immediate response when they receive emails that I send. I had to make everything current then I stopped paying the debt because they had insurance charges and late fees. We had to get things delinquent enough in order to negotiate with them. After the negotiations and Pacific Debt's fee, I was 15% over what the original debt was. All that and I didn't have to mess with the phone calls. Pacific Debt took some pressure off of me just by dealing with it on a normal basis. They're a great company, and it's an excellent service to use by anybody who is beyond debt. They're very professional and it was a pleasant experience working with them.

Thanks for the great review of our service and the kind words about your Account Manager. We understand that situations such as yours, where you are caring for a family member, can be very difficult. I was skeptical with Pacific Debt in the beginning because I never heard of the company before. But there was something different about them that caught me and it sounded like they really cared, so I got into the program. But that process was long and in the beginning, I've been on the phone for an hour. But still, what's an hour when I got to get rid of some debt? They take care of things in detail and kept in contact as I do with them. Anything I get in the mail I send to them right away. Now I've been with them for a year and they've already settled four of my six accounts.
They've been working really hard and they seem to be doing things a lot quicker than expected because they told me four years. So, I'm excited about that because we have a lot of health issues right now and I really need to get this done. It's going to be a huge load off my shoulders once it is complete and I'll be glad to get this behind me, so I can concentrate. They're doing excellent. In fact, I already told family and friends about Pacific Debt if they ever decide to do something. I gave the information, a photo, and a copy of the business card. I told them to get all their account written down, what they owe, the expiration, etc. before they get or start the phone call. Pacific Debt absorbed all my debts or selected parts of my debts then very quickly, they managed to cut out a huge portion. They save my money to pay my debts. They take my $900, put it in the bank, make money or invest or whatever, then pay my debts. They negotiated with one of my lenders and cut it out right there very fast. Some of my debts are not very big but since then, nothing has moved. I haven't seen any movement since that first one and I'm getting nervous about that. However, I still pay them $900 a month. I don't know what's happening or what they're waiting on. It's possible they're negotiating right now.

They’ve been very helpful the few times that I have interacted with them over the phone and were very quick to get back to me with emails as well. They’ve handled any information that the creditors have for me and I don’t have to deal with them directly. They’ve helped a lot of the harassing phone calls and the papers that do get mailed from them. They’ve intervened with that and helped settle what they could with my account. So far, they’ve been very satisfactory in helping me with the stress that debts can give and just relieving a lot of anxiety that it can cause.

I was about to either go file bankruptcy then or take debt relief route, and this route seemed to pay off my debt sooner and with a lot less hassle so I took it. There was somebody online from California that had Pacific Debt in a list of people that he would take debt to, and the Better Business Bureau gave them a high score so I went with them. After we've dealt with them, we felt like they have been able to do it, and so far they’ve reduced down my debt. I've had a good experience with them however, we're dealing with a lawyer because there was a part of debt to a Credit Union that we couldn’t re-assume and I have to pay through them. They treated me like a criminal so I was forced to do it. If I don’t retire in three years, I'll start losing $60 a month because I have an annuity so I'm trying to get everything caught up by then. So, with the grandkids at the house and everything else, we needed to get to a budget.

I’ve worked hard my whole life and was trying to avoid bankruptcy. I worked for the post office, but when all the post offices started closing down, I lost over half of my income. I was a single mother of two children, and I was very stressed before contacting Pacific Debt. But now, it feels better that someone’s actually taking care of those things for me, but it's still very expensive for me to make those payments. $800 a month is a lot just to pay in one lump sum for four years so it’s still very stressful to me. It was also very stressful and annoying when they would have someone try to work and take care of the situation, phone call after phone call. I'm not supposed to have my phone at work, so I had to turn it off. But then I didn't know if someone from my family would call me. But once we got through that, they helped a lot and the phone calls stopped so that was a relief.
Now, I’ve gotten three of my debts paid off. I was trying to avoid any type of judgement but I do have one against me at the courthouse right now and that’s the next one that we’re working on. So hopefully, that one will be taken care of before long. They’ve promised me to help write letters to the creditors, to get my credit back up to where it needs to be, showing the credit bureau that these debts have been paid in full.

I know they're screwing me but I got to go along with it. I'm in the dark and it's not fair.
I've also had some problems with my credit advocate. He told me I have four more debts to pay off but I don't know who these four creditors are. Also, one time I told him he could take $500 out from my checking account then something came up and I told him we'll keep it at $353. Then he acted like he's kind of mad at me and he made me angry. Her concern with, and command of, every transaction are a source of confidence and trust on my part, and I confidently assume that she provides the same level of support for all of her clients. Pacific Debt is excellent at resolving problems, and Ms ** is a key component of that excellence. Both her employer and her clients can have absolute confidence in her skills, and both should consider themselves fortunate for their dependence on such a reliable and effective representative.

Eric was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He took the extra time to explain and answer the questions that I had. He was extremely polite. Eric is one that will put you at ease immediately. He explained all the documents and answered any question that I had with each document. He gave me his extension in case I had questions further in the process and said I could contact with any questions I might have at a later date.

Pacific Debt Inc. and Account Manager Josh ** played such an important role in helping me with debt consolidation. During the process, they were always available for consultation and played the intermediary role between myself and the creditor with ease and skill. As long as I made the required monthly payment, I had peace of mind. Thanks to them, I finished the program and am debt free.

I have been in the program for about 6 months or more. Shonna **, my account manager right now has made settlements with 3 out of four of my credit card companies. I would recommend this company to anyone needing help becoming debt free from credit card companies. I was skeptical at first like most would be, but I did look up reviews and tried to pick the one company that is not a scam as so many are. Believe me they are the real thing. Yes you still pay monthly to this company but then they use that money towards paying them off once a settlement is reached. Usually a lot less than what would have been owed. I am so grateful to be on my way to becoming debt free within another year or so.

Experience was excellent. Josh ** was excellent. Would recommend to friends. Was kept up to date frequently and was able to contact PDI quickly. I would recommend PDI to others with similar circumstances I had. There is nothing more to say.

Thank you so much for your feedback on the level of service you have received from Josh, your Account Manager. We agree that he is a tremendous asset to the company! In fact, all Pacific Debt clients receive the benefit of a personal Account Manager once we reach the negotiations phase of the program. This personal level of service allows us to separate ourselves from many of our competitors, who rely on large customer service call centers and negotiators who rarely communicate with their clients.
Be sure to ask Josh about the Pacific Debt referral program, we pay $100 per referral that enrolls once the third program payment is made.

Shonna has been a godsend to me. When I was feeling the most hopeless about my financial situation, Shonna showed me there was a light at the end of the tunnel and it wasn't a train! Although I was apprehensive when the process was first starting, she was honest, answered all my questions, and addressed my concerns. My comfort level increased exponentially, and I can say this has been a great decision. Shonna continues to work with me when I need some flexibility. Her continued support is much appreciated. She needs to be picked as the winner of your contest!!! :-)

PDI has been honest from the start of my program. The program took about 180 days before I started seeing results. All the people worked hard to help me achieve my goal of being debt free. I would recommend this company to my friends. Great job PDI!
