I was having trouble paying my bills and Pacific Debt was able to get me the amount per month that I was looking for. Everything is fine but I’m still in the process which just moved to a manager. My finances are still crappy and I'm just waiting to start being taken care of by Pacific Debt.

There was an imbalance in my income to pay my debts. I researched online and Pacific Debt got better reviews. I decided to move on with them and everything went smoothly. They helped me to settle with the companies. Then I've used the advising financial ins and outs and what my budget is. They were always helpful and my personal account manager was perfect. The quality of service was also perfect. I do direct automatic payments and I'm paying a certain amount every month that's deducting my total debt. The experience was nothing complicated and I'm thankful to everybody who helped me in the process. I was trapped and fearful before, but I'm free now. I totally recommend Pacific Debt.

I had some post-divorce debts that I needed help with. I needed someone to intervene and take care of the debt collectors, creditors and get me out of the high-interest rates and late fees. And being I was only to make the minimum monthly payments, then I knew that I was never going to see the light of day with the debt unless I got some help. I didn’t want to do bankruptcy so debt settlement was my next option outside of bankruptcy and Pacific Debt had the best rating. My account manager Carly is always available when I need to talk to her or have questions, or issues there. I can reach her by text, call or email. The dealing has been pretty smooth. They took care of everything, did all the work and I just had to make my monthly payment of $300. I'm 12 months in in a 28-month program and I hope to finish sooner than 28 months.
Pacific Debt originally wanted me to pay $275 a month and I pay $300 a month. There have been a couple of times I've had to either come down on a payment or skip on a payment and I've been able to do that. But I try not to do that because it sets me back so I try to stay on top of it. Working with them made my life much easier. I pay one person each month and it's a simpler way of handling the debt. In terms of cost in relation to the quality of services, I'm saving money with all the interest rates and late fees that I was accruing along the way. But in the end, by doing it this way, I'm saving a lot of money versus trying to take matters into my own hands and handle it myself when there was no way I was going to be capable of doing it with my financial situation. I'm happy with the program and I tell people about it. I will let them know what I've done and how it's worked for me if I encounter anyone that's in a similar situation as mine.

Pacific Debt was the first one that I had filled out information for and they got me into the credit card settlement program. I've spoken with two people. They followed up with me on everything. They're now able to start negotiating on the credit card so there hasn’t been a whole lot of communication lately but they’ve kept me in the loop. They walked me through if I had any questions or anything that I didn’t quite understand. Once they got the ball rolling, things moved along quickly.
I've been really comfortable with the account managers. I wasn’t quite sure how all this stuff works in the beginning but when they completely explained everything to me up front, I have a complete understanding of what's going on now. Everything that they’ve been doing for me has been awesome. I've already knocked out one of the accounts that I have in the program. And they're helping me to speed up my process of eliminating credit card debt. I would definitely recommend Pacific Debt if I’d come across somebody going through the same situation.

I'm currently in debt and needed somebody to help me get out of it. Pacific Debt seemed a lot easier to work with and I ended up with their four-year program. I'm keeping track of everything and sending them everything as requested. So far, I'm seeing a difference but I'm still struggling financially. Nonetheless, it's better than what I was dealing with before them. My account manager is understanding and easy to talk to. Everybody that I have encountered so far has been very accommodating, easy to talk to and understanding. Everybody’s doing their job and they're calling every so often to see how I'm doing.

Pacific Debt is a great company to work with. They lived up to everything that they promised and advertised. I've worked with other debt companies in the past and Pacific Debt is a much better company. I had a pulmonary embolism right after Thanksgiving in 2016 and I almost died. I planned on working until I was 66 in October this year but I just couldn't make it through in May, so I retired. Aside from taking a significant decrease in my income, I also had problems with social security. I was behind and I had to do something about my debt. I saw Pacific Debt and they seem to be a good company.
I called them and they put me through the counselor. Pacific Debt was more personal and upfront. I'm working directly with them and they didn't refer me to another agency that actually does the collections. They explained everything completely and had an answer for every question. They didn't try to shroud anything with mysteries too. I gave Pacific Debt the accounts that I wanted. They went down to my credit scores and picked out the accounts that I wanted to place with them. And they also let me keep the accounts that I wanted to keep. Then they figured out what the payment would be and how long it would take to finish the payments. They divided up my monthly payment into two separate payments to make it easier for me instead of having to pay one lump sum. They also set me up with Crossroads for the deposit.
Pacific Debt has worked with me really well, so far, and I’ve been pleased with everything from them. Although I haven’t started to see any changes yet because they have to build up a balance in the account with Crossroads before they can start to approach these companies that I owe money from and start settling them. My credit monitoring company said that one of my accounts was settled. But I don't know which one it was. I'm sure within the next few months, Pacific Debt is going to start settling these accounts quickly because there's a lot of them that aren't very much. I would highly recommend Pacific Debt to anybody that's in the situation where they need this type of service.

I could make all my debt payments and I could sometimes even pay more than the minimum to my creditors. But I was getting tired of some of the credit card companies' slapping on an interest of $100 a month which was ridiculous, so I sought the services of Pacific Debt. These companies are losing out because if they would lower the interest, I would not be doing the debt settlement program with Pacific Debt. I was very nervous because I had never done anything like this program before and it was counter-intuitive.
I started out with another company but I ended up going to Pacific Debt because I read some of their positive reviews and people seemed to be happy with them, and they've also been around longer. I liked the way they handled everything professionally. They were extremely thorough and explained how the program will work and what to expect. They wanted to know what companies I owed debts to because that will determine whether or not they would take me on, since there were certain companies that they wouldn't have any success with.
Enrolling in the program could be done either online or by phone. I spoke to a rep initially and I was asked to leave my contact details, then another rep called me to follow up and we reviewed everything. My interaction with my personal account manager at Pacific Debt was very positive and I was most impressed with the account manager’s ability to communicate. The Pacific Debt people wanted to make sure that I understood everything and they told me things as many times as needed until I understood, since the only way that the program would be successful was if I followed their instructions.
I've just started with the program but I think it will work. I have to stay committed to the program, as otherwise it won’t work. The hard part for me was that I wasn't used to not having to make payments, but I had to stop paying since that would determine when they’d go to work with my creditors, and they will take a certain amount in dollars. I wanted to complete the program in over 48 months so we put everything down on paper and crunched the numbers. They came up with a figure that I thought was reasonable, so we're going with that. I'd tell a friend to definitely look into Pacific Debt's program, call in, and get as much information as they can. Overall, I've been satisfied and comfortable with Pacific Debt.

I needed help to get rid of all my credit cards and I sought the debt settlement services of Pacific Debt. Getting enrolled in the program was pretty easy. I showed them all the different debts and we talked through different plans and what I wanted to do. They helped me find something that was reasonable and less than what I was already paying. I feel comfortable working with them and I am most impressed at how they keep me informed of any updates or changes in the plan. Pacific Debt has made managing my credit cards easier since now I don't have to worry about different payments because it’s all just one payment. They have started settling my debts, and so far, the program has worked great. I'd refer friends to Pacific Debt if they needed it.

I was in need of financial stability and ended up with a debt consolidation program from Pacific Debt. It's a long process but just getting everything started, I sleep better at night. The people I talked to seemed like they were reading from scripts though. They deal with it day-in, day-out, and they're like clockwork, but they're nice people. They were understandable and were willing to help me through the process. It's been pleasant. I've only been in the program not quite a month but the people have been informative so it's turning in the right direction. We’ve kind of been held up a little bit with the hurricane though and we're just now getting our head above water. There are still a couple of banks I need to do to finish this process with Pacific Debt but so far, they have met all my expectations. If everything keeps working the way I hope they do, I wouldn't have a problem telling people to check out Pacific Debt.

Pacific Debt provided me with a program where I can pay them each month. I'm on the second year and by now, they've already settled three accounts for me. I got three more to go, and I'll be finished. I used to have the credit people call me and tell me that I had to pay. But when I went with Pacific Debt, the credit people didn’t bother me. I told my account manager I wanted my debt to be settled so I can enjoy my retirement. She always called me and if they settle an account, they'd let me know if I'd approve or not. If I say okay, then she's going to do it. I'm comfortable with her and when I get something, I send it to her. I didn't have anybody and they helped me to go through my debts. I'm happy that I found them. It’s a good service and I would recommend it to people.

I wasn't overextended but I couldn't make enough headway with my debts, so I looked into debt relief services. I looked through Better Business Bureau and did some phone calls, and I checked Pacific Debt out. They were number one in the ratings and I called them. I talked with the rep for an hour and a half and he took all of my information, gathered things together, and he came up with a good plan that I can live with and I'd be debt-free within four years. He helped me well.
They explained that I would have a personal account manager on the sixth month when we start talking to the creditors. Right now, I'm paying into escrow and I've stopped paying any of my bills. By six months, it can be seen that I have been doing the payments and we can go from there. Working with Pacific Debt has given me relief. I'll be 55 next week, I have everything I want, and I've retired from the Air Force already. I now own no more vehicles, so this is now my main issue. Pacific Debt has given me a fresh start and I'd recommend them to people who find that they're in trouble.

We weren't able to keep up with everything financially so my wife researched a lot about different companies that would help us. She talked to a Pacific Debt rep and he was very professional and explained everything in depth to her which she later explained to me. She got a lot of good information from them and their rate was good too. The account manager was very friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. I'm now collecting all the past due accounts and will be emailing them over to Pacific Debt and once we start paying I think I'll see more positive result. I'll tell others to go with Pacific Debt because they're affordable and it's very manageable. We're very pleased with them.

Pacific Debt is a great company. I sought their services since I figured I would never be able to pay everything off before I retire. I spoke to a few other companies and Pacific Debt seemed the most helpful. They did everything that they said they would do. They contacted all the companies I had credit cards with and made a settlement with everybody. A couple of times, I called their customer support for further questions because it seemed to be taking forever to finish. They were always very kind in explaining to me how much longer I had to go. Everything was fine and I made my last payment last month. The payments killed me for over two years, but that’s what I get for getting myself into debts.

Pacific Debt answered all my questions well and it seemed pretty simple. I got their thing in the mail, and it seemed pretty straightforward. They walked me through the stuff, let me know what to expect, kept me very up to date with how they were doing with different creditors, and they just sounded very happy whenever one took the pay-off amount. My personal account manager kept in touch with me and seemed to understand that stuff happens and it wasn’t just crazy that I got into debt or being a wild child. Through working with Pacific Debt, I had lesser phone calls and that's definitely good and knowing that the bills have an endpoint in sight. It’s a very good experience and I’m glad I know one of them paid off.

I was in a lot of debt and I was weighing my options. I looked up different ways to lessen my debt without filing bankruptcy and Pacific Debt was the first one to pop up on the internet. I read up a little bit on them and it looked good so I called. Their program is simple and not confusing. They keep me informed on everything and I either get an email or a call from them for any little changes. They keep me in the loop as opposed to other people I’ve had to work with who don't tell me the step by step process or anything until something’s done.
Pacific Debt calls me every week and a half to check up to see how I'm doing on my end and making sure I'm not being harassed by any creditors. And what impressed me is how personable they are. The reps don’t hurry and speak through a certain spiel and even though they might have to read a disclosure, they’ll stop every couple of sentence to make sure I understand what’s going on or explain something a little bit more in detail if I’m not getting it. It's the best customer service I’ve had to deal with. As soon as they set me up with the deal, I already felt a lot of stress relief ‘cause I knew I was going to be all right. I'm making one single payment instead of making five payments that are about the same as I’m paying for Pacific Debt for the one payment.

I didn’t pay bills for a while, and Pacific Debt did whatever and paid a couple. Then, I got some financial help, and I paid off all the rest of my bills, negotiated my other debts by myself and paid Pacific Debt off. I went with Pacific because they were one of the ones I called that would help. They helped with some loans I had that were outstanding that we just couldn’t keep up with the payments anymore. I'm now done with them and I no longer wanted to deal with them. They didn’t tell me everything I needed to know when I did it. I didn’t get quite enough information and that could’ve been my fault for not asking and not understanding exactly what I was doing. They haven’t given me any more customer support and the cost was more than I thought. I would not recommend them to a friend. Overall, it was okay, not great.

Steven, thank you for your feedback. I do see that we have negotiated settlements on all of you accounts so congratulations. However, we would love to address your concerns further - this is valuable feedback for us. I've requested that your Account Manager Ellen reach out to you for additional follow up.

I had some credit card debt that I wanted to take care of and Pacific Debt seemed like one of several that qualified, so I picked them. They cut down the amount of money that I owed to the credit card companies, pay off my debt and November will be my last payment. My first account manager was very helpful and courteous. Then he moved up in the ranks and I’ve had someone else since, but the only contact I've had with her was an e-mail. I spoke very briefly to her six months ago and she hasn’t nearly been as communicative as Josh was. So far, I only had one payment and then I pay once a month by taking it right out of my account. I’ve made it over the years and once I’m finished, that’ll save me $400 a month. However, I’d like to go back over my figures over the past three years and see exactly how much I saved before I recommend them. I’m just happy to get it over with and I hope I don’t have to go through that experience again.

Gary thank you for your review. Also, congrats on your program as you are almost debt free (just a few payments left). It sounds like you have a few questions regarding your program and I have forwarded your request to a manager for follow up.

I had too much credit card debt, and Pacific Debt worked with the credit card companies and got my interest lowered. I've also had good interactions with both my account managers. I had Brad first and now I have Josh, and they've really helped me. If I call with a problem or I need some information, they are willing to work with me. They also keep me abreast and I could go online to see what's happening with my account and I like that too.
Pacific Debt worked very well with me regarding the payment plan. I pay so much a month and then they distribute the payments to whomever. Then every time they got a bill paid off, they notified me and had me sign off. There were a couple of months where I couldn't pay the whole thing and they were very willing to accommodate me.
There's even counseling involved if you want it, and they've helped me not get back into trouble again. I've been with them for three years and I only have four more months and then I'm finished. I've gotten a lot off my mind because I know my debt's being paid and I don't have to worry about it. I only wish I could pay all my bills off in one shot so I don't have any more credit card debt, but Pacific Debt has been very good and I'm really satisfied with them. I'm hoping never to get into trouble again, but if I ever do, I would go right back to Pacific Debt. I didn't feel like I was being ripped off and I have seen results from them. I would recommend Pacific Debt to anybody who runs into any problem. I've really enjoyed dealing with them and I've had a good experience with them.

I liked Pacific's reviews online. Also, they seemed to know my situation before they get on the phone with me. I don't feel like I’m having to repeat myself to them because I know I have a little group there working on it. When they deal with me, it feels like progress instead of doing the same thing over and over. My only issue is that I can't get my stuff to them. They've needed some documents for me to send in and my emails are not getting to them.
I feel comfortable with the account managers, though. And the payment plan is very accommodating. I was really nervous setting it up but with my husband's job situation, we were left with no other choice. Now that we got that initial band-aid ripped off, it's a huge relief. We have got someone knowing what they're doing that's going to help us. Do not to be scared and embarrassed. None of the Pacific reps made me feel bad that things ended up not looking out with my husband and his job. They did not feel judgmental at all, so it was really comforting. I sought Pacific Debt’s services to help me get out of a financial bind that I was in. I had recently retired and the bills had piled up, and they were able to work out a program and get everybody paid for me. There were a couple other companies that I had called. One was not open and the other said they would get back to me. And when I called Pacific Debt, they were right there and started answering my questions. I liked what they had offered and that they were ready to help. With all the debts I had, they went in and I only pay a certain amount a month, and they did whatever they do as far as the creditors go. One of my creditors even started to sue me, and Pacific put me on the payment plan and got that resolved.
The team that I worked with was excellent, and I appreciate all of the work that they did for me. I've had three personal account managers and all of them have really kept me informed all the time and if I’ve had any questions and had to call, someone has always gotten back to me. Pacific Debt has taken care of everything for me and gave me excellent service. And for what it has cost me, everything has been exceptional. I’m going to be debt-free in December, so it has impacted my life very well. I got off of active duty and then became disabled and I took a pay cut after 30 years in service, so our debt to income ratio was too high and we weren't late on payments. So, it's better for us to have that ratio reduced and stop paying the interest on credit cards so much. Pacific Debt has the fairest price over other debt servicing companies. Also, the other companies that we sought were disputing the accounts instead of settling them, which I was not comfortable with, and they were charging us almost double. I understood that it was my debt and I'm responsible for paying it, so I just wanted to find someone to settle my debt.
Pacific Debt is settling my accounts based on hardship and government disability and once they settle the account, they're going to help me build my credit. I'm saving $800 a month with them and I'm no longer paying interest. It was going to take me about 15 to 20 years to pay off one of the credit cards. I was content with about 15 years, about $45,000 on one credit card and then about another four more years to pay off a thousand in the loan.
I talk to the same account manager every time. It has just been three months since dealing with her and, so far, so good. Her ability to follow up is impressive. I still work for the government and she provided a letter telling my enrollment to the program, which allowed my employer to see that I'm in the process of settling my accounts even though I'm in debt and my credit does not reflect as much. Also, she called me about 10 to 14 days and every time I sent her a creditor letter or anything that deals with the creditors, she follows up with them within 48 hours and contacts me back through either a call, emails, or both. The quality of service from Pacific Debt is outstanding. I'm no longer working pay check to pay check just to pay interest. So being a new homeowner, they're really life savers and I've recommended them.

Andres - thank you so much for the kind review and recommending us to others! We are glad to hear about your client excellent experience and how much money you are saving in the process!

They fixed me right up, put me on a payment plan and helped me settle it for a lot less than what I owed. They paid about half of my debt on each. The personal account manager I talked with was wonderful. She emailed and texted me and stayed on top of things. I was impressed with her willingness to help and do her job. It was a very seamless process.
It took me about two and a half years and now, it's all paid off and done. It brought my credit score up to where we just bought a house. So, everything worked out good. Whatever timeframe they said was what they stuck by and it was all in order, which was great instead of me paying what I owed for 30 years at minimum note. Overall, I'm 100% satisfied and I would definitely refer them because they're wonderful and easy to deal with.

After the divorce, I have credit card debt that prompted me to ask for Pacific Debt’s services. I had a bad experience from the past with my ex-wife’s medical school debt and paid people a monthly fee but they took our money and never did anything for us. But with Pacific Debt, there’s a lot of transparency and honesty built into it. There is a trust account where I’m making a monthly payment to them and the money has been put into an account that’s held in my name. They will not touch any of that money till I legally authorize and after they negotiate a settlement for me with the credit company. Then I will pay the credit card company myself using the money that I’ve agreed to hold in the trust fund so it’s extremely honest and above board.
They had fees for doing all this, but those fees were clearly stated in the agreement that we made with each other. It was also affordable to go through their debt resolution plan than for me to continue to pay the minimum payment on the debt that I had and it didn’t cost me any more money than what I was already paying. They also made a proposal on what they thought it would cost and gave me a couple options. I took the option I thought would work best for me and they can’t tell me how long it would take to resolve my issues, but they can predict if things go as normally do for them. It’s going to be a four-year process and not a quick one, but they walk me through all of it. They were detailed and also very good about letting me know what to expect over the next two or three months and later as they became more active in resolving my debt.
What we're doing in this initial phase is getting the debtors angry at us but also building up enough equity in my trust fund so they can start resolving some of the accounts that I have. In terms of cost in relation to quality, I’ll be very happy if the level of care and support continues as it’s been when it began. They’re great so far and I feel lucky that I found them.

That's when I went online, read a couple of Pacific Debt's ratings and talked to them. My personal account manager changed two times, but generally, they set up the account and negotiated with the companies about the amount. Once the settlement was agreed on, they started paying my debts off. The lesser debt had been paid off already and the bigger one will be paid off in seven months time. The way I signed it, they needed to change the date of the payment. When I talked to them, they quickly supported me and then we were able to do everything. They negotiated a deal with my outstanding debtors and got part of the debt off, 50 cents on every dollar for me.
The program has been worth it. The cost in relation to the quality of service has been very good. Next year, I’ll be done with the companies. They told me that the debt was going to be paid by March, but what I wasn’t made aware of is that I was going to be paying the same installment to Pacific Debt for another six months. That wasn’t made clear to me at the beginning during the negotiations. I only found out sometime last year when somebody called me and asked if I could pay off some of the debt from tax retention. Something was hidden from me, and I wasn’t happy with that. Other than that, Pacific Debt has been very professional. They give me updates every month and send me statements. On that front, they have been wonderful and my overall experience with them was excellent.

I did some research online and Pacific Debt had good ratings. They're consolidating my debt and I’m about done. Everybody was great. They were really personable and kind. They went through my budget with me and made sure that I could make ends meet and that I can also pay off my debt. The cost was worth the quality of the service.

We had a ton of hospital bills and our credit card debt got too high. I like the people that I talked to from Pacific Debt. They were very nice, helpful, and clear in explanation. Pacific Debt is reducing my credit card debt by negotiating with the credit card companies and reducing what we had to pay. We worked out a payment plan and we agreed that I would pay them every month and they would pay off the credit card. And we have 10 more months to go. Everything that I’ve done was very nice. The quality of services was very good and the cost was better than if I were to just try to do it myself.

Thank you so much for your review Harry. 10 more months until Debt Freedom!

I was over $10,000 in debt and Pacific seemed like a good choice that time. My account manager was very friendly and always there when I needed him. To make payment, they would take out of my account every month. Pacific got me out of debt and my experience with them was smooth and quick. I have two more creditors that I need to go through and that's all.

I was in a large amount of credit card debt and I looked at Pacific Debt's program. It sounded just right for me. It was a three-year program and I had probably four different people that were handling my accounts. I just finished it recently, made my last payment and they treated me with respect. They always answered my questions and I appreciate their honesty and kindness. They were really pleasurable to talk to and it was like a cloud just lifted off of me. I just feel so much better and I now know not to get in that kind of situation again.

Vernon - congrats on being debt free! I am glad to hear your $26k in Credit Card debt is a thing of the past!

A couple of years ago, I was in debt so I did a little bit of research and sought Pacific Debt’s services. A while back, I had a problem with a Pacific person that was out of the office, but other than that, they’re really easy to get a hold of. Their account managers keep up with what’s going on and periodically, I hear from them and I can call them at any time. I’m still working on resolving some of my debts yet I’ve had some good results already. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with Pacific but I wouldn’t try to persuade anybody else to do what I’m doing.

I am $25,000 in debt and I worked so hard and it seems like everything I make goes to paying the debt and I’m getting nowhere paying it off. And so, I have stayed current. My credit score is at 700 and I just don’t see light at the end of the tunnel. If I can’t pay it in lower terms then it seems to me that I could spend my whole life trying. I’m living from paycheck to paycheck and stretching myself out so thin and the stress has just gotten to be too much.
I had received a notice in the mail from another company and what their rep had to say sounded too good to be true but it intrigued me. Therefore, I went online and did some research but the company ended up not having such great reviews. There were a couple of catches to their program and I wasn’t willing to take that risk. If I were to give up a 700 credit score, I wanted a more reputable company. I had also thought about bankruptcy but I have to pay taxes on that debt and I have to do it right away and that’s not something I can afford right now. Then, I also have to pay the lawyer fees and that would not get me where I wanted to go.
I found that Pacific Debt worked in this area and that they had really good ratings. It appeared that they were a reputable and successful company and that they had good reviews. So, I decided to go with them and help me get out of debt within three years and build my credit score back up again. I have just begun with them a month ago and right now, I’m still current with my payments and with that, I may start getting calls from the credit card companies shortly. So far, it’s a good program and they’ve been really nice to me and hopefully, it works. That’s what I’m hoping for.
The account manager called me. She was thorough, very sweet, and very good at what she does. She seemed sincere and I thought it was a good choice for me. She made it feel comfortable. She had all the information I needed and she took her time to go through everything with me. We talked about the fact that I’m supposed to not inform these credit card companies that I’m doing this. She told me that they take one company at a time and they’re starting with Discover card and that they would take $515 in automatic payments out of my bank account on a monthly basis, same day every month. Rather than paying $700 a month in interest fees without getting anywhere, it sounded like it might be doable.
Then, they would put it all in an escrow account that would build up and when they had enough to settle, they would then settle with that one company and then move on to the next card. They would build up another escrow account and then settle with the next company and so forth. I’m worried though about not being able to have a credit card to rent a car and so forth while this is in the process. I’m going to be strictly cash and not having that backup there is scary for me, but it’s the right thing to do, to settle with these companies and pay them off. If it works, it would be absolutely awesome. Seeing myself out of debt in three years as opposed to 25 is just amazing.

I was going through a divorce and had a lot of bills that were brought on our lap. I went with another company but they weren’t able to handle some of my accounts. The other company sent me the money I put in the accounts and Pacific Debt took care of the rest. They helped me in paying off my debt at a lower price and closing out the account. Jonathan set up an account and was able to consolidate the rest of my accounts for payment. Then Josh came on board and treated me as family. He was very receptive, responsive, easy to communicate with, and was eager to help. He was easy to get in touch with and able to update me on the status of my account and just letting me know he's there and he's working every day to make sure I close all of my accounts up.
Pacific Debt has been able to reduce a lot of my debt of at least 20 to 40 percent. They worked it out by my side and came up with considering my situation. In cases where I'm unable to make a payment, they allowed me to take a payment to make sure that it would be okay. Right now, I'm in the process of paying off the agreed to amount. Pacific Debt has been great. They settle my account plus, I have stopped receiving phone calls. I really appreciate it. They were really good and they take care and help to pay the debt. If you want to have stuff alleviated, Pacific Debt would be able to answer that.

I was getting over my head and had to seek help from Pacific Debt with my credit card debt. I checked out their website and it seemed legitimate, which was my biggest concern. Also, there were reviews from previous customers that seemed pretty solid. They put me with a manager and they’re helping me cut down my credit card debt by talking with the companies and negotiating a lower amount. They drew me a solid payment plan for months.
In the beginning, I had to get proof of income and, for a little while, my money accrued. I dealt with their customer service for three months then I got assigned a case manager. And she’s been in direct contact with me, letting me know when she’s reaching negotiation with certain companies. I’m comfortable working with her. Pacific’s account managers actually seem to care. I feel like I can call at any time and they’ll get back to me. And they empathize with my situation, not making me feel guilty for getting in the situation I’m in.
In the initial application, they walked me through a really extensive budget analysis and then talked to me about what I could afford because that was one of their biggest things. They didn’t want the payment plan to stress me out. They wanted it to help me. They also wanted me to maximize what I’m contributing every month. So we started with an initial contract of what seemed reasonable at that time. Around six months in, I had to lower my payment ‘cause I work a commission-based job. They worked with me on that and drew up another payment plan right away. We were able to lower it temporarily.
They also walked me through every line of the contract, so I didn’t feel like I missed anything or what they were taking out of it. I was willing to work their payment just to have someone who knows what they’re doing. I’m really glad that I entered into the program. I projected to have two more years but it’s pretty much worth any payment and any percentage that’s going to come out of it to have someone help me with a plan. It’s been a weight off my shoulders ‘cause I know I have to just pay that. I have someone I can talk to if things get tough. Pacific Debt’s a great company. They’re professional, attentive and effective. If I ever know anyone that was in the situation, I would totally recommend them.

My debt was skyrocketing out of control, then I saw Pacific Debt on Facebook and they were advertising a debt control program. I checked them out and everybody seemed to give them high ratings, so I went with them and gave them a call. I am in their debt relief program through settlement. I only had one interaction with the personal account manager on the phone and it was fine. I like how the people from Pacific Debt were courteous. Also, if I have any questions and I call them, they're very prompt. They're very knowledgeable, too, because I had to call them to ask about the statements or just to make sure I understand them correctly and I have all the paperwork such as the affidavits that needed to be signed and the two powers of attorneys. They’ve been helpful in the process to make sure all those were properly set up.
At first Pacific Debt wanted me to pay $500 a month and I said I don’t have that. So, they came up with a plan that I could afford. I send in my payment every month and Pacific Debt takes out $300 a month and puts it into an escrow account. I've been with the program for about five months, so they haven’t resolved any accounts yet. They said it will take six months before the account starts getting settled. So, I'm hoping that works out hopefully in August and be debt-free in 48 months. I could also opt out anytime and I could have more money in the escrow and come back if I choose to opt out of the program.
Pacific Debt is doing good so far and when I submit the statements every month, I get an email back saying they’ve received my payment and they’d post it to my account. Then I can log in to Pacific Debt and I can see how much money I have in the escrow account. That process is easy. They also call once a month to check on me and see how I'm liking the program. Overall, I had a very good experience with them.

I had quite a bit of credit card debts and I wasn’t getting anywhere paying these off on my own. I also had several moves that didn’t help my income flow. I talked to a debt settlement company and then I did some research online and saw that Pacific Debt had a better rate than the other company that I was considering. I've been with Pacific Debt for seven months now and they're helping me pay off my credit card debts and get my credit rating straightened out.
The initial person I talked to at Pacific Debt was really great. He walked me through the program and got me set up. I was afraid because I'm by myself now and I felt like I was a failure, and he helped me through that. He showed me how much I owe and what the program was about. He also told me how much monthly my payment would be and I agreed to this since it would work with my budget. Also, the woman who does the negotiating has been great too.
The credit card companies turn the debts over to collection agencies that harass me and I don’t like that. But because of Pacific Debt, I don’t have to deal individually with the four credit card companies and their collectors. I can just not answer the phone and know that I'm doing something through Pacific Debt to take care of the matter. I pay a specific amount every month to Pacific Debt and they negotiate the debts that I owe to the four credit card companies. We've got one debt out of the way already so I can relax.
Besides the credit rating that I have right now, Pacific Debt's impact on me has also been positive because they freed up about $250 every month that I don’t have to send. In the meantime, I've gotten a job. It's a low-paying job, but I still have more money coming in. So, I'm on some solid financial footing right now and able to make all my bills. I'm actually hoping to start being able to put money into savings this month. Then I can build this up and be able to give Pacific Debt some funds, and get some of these cards out of the way. The sooner I can get those cards taken care of, the sooner my credit rating will go back up, and then I'll be able to move on with my life.
My only complaint is that they asked if I had extra cash lying around that I could send as that would give them the ability to pay off my debts sooner. But I don’t have more money and that’s why I'm in the situation that I'm in, so that was frustrating. Other than that, the quality of their service has been awesome and excellent. Overall, I've been very pleased with Pacific Debt and I would recommend them to anybody. They walked me through the process step-by-step and they've been very caring and understanding. Their debt settlement program definitely paid my four bills down by half. I am still scared and feel like a failure because I've let those four companies down by not being able to pay back what I borrowed from them. But I'll be a lot more careful in the future. The experience comes in like a diet and I'm going to gain the weight back if I don’t get what I'm doing right and if I don’t stay on my program.

I found Pacific Debt on the internet and went with them as they were rated on a website as one of the top companies to get consolidation. I had bills that I wanted to consolidate and pay just one payment, and Pacific Debt said they could do that for me. I talked to them over the phone and faxed copies of my bills to them, then they told me what I would be able to pay a month, and sent me something to sign.
The only problem was I misunderstood and thought that they were going to be paying my debtors off. I pay them one amount, and they pay each of my debtors a certain amount at a lower percentage. I totally did not understand that what they were doing was keep my money and let all my debts go for six months so that they could deal with the creditors and get my payments lower, or the amount that I owed lower, so it screwed up my credit. And when I realized what was happening I asked if they were paying my bills because I was getting messages from my creditors. They said they weren't and that they save the money and then pay it off after six months. They said that the reason they do that is because I was six months in arrear, and they wanted to deal it with me and settle for less because they'd rather get something than nothing. They didn't say it that way but that's what it is.
I said I didn't understand that when I initially talked to them, that my credit had turned to 500, and that I was screwed. So I asked them to just send me my money back. They were taking $10 with my payment to them every month for six months. I got $1,400 back, but not the $10 a month that they kept for their processing fee. My credit now is totally destroyed. They told me my credit's going to go down just a little bit at first, but "little bit" doesn't even qualify. My credit was 700 or 800 before, and now it's 500, and that's a lot. The service was fine as far as speaking with the people. I just didn't understand what I was getting into.
My ex-husband and I had done a debt consolidation years ago, when he was out on the road in a big rig and was using credit cards to pay for his fuel and not getting paid by the company he was working for. He ended up with all this debt and when he got a consolidation loan, they took all our credit cards, worked with each company, got the percentage down, and we paid the whole amount off, but we only paid a certain amount a month until it was all paid off. So we paid our total amount that we owed, which I would've wanted to do, and that's what I was thinking I was doing. But we only had one payment a month and it was something that we could do.
The experience, itself, as far as the people I worked with, was great. But as far as my understanding of what I wanted and what I got were two different things, and it bugged me that I didn't get the correct understanding of it. Also, when I was asking for my money back, I told them about the consolidation debt that my ex-husband and I had before, and they said they have that program. I asked why they didn't offer it to me, and they said it's a little bit more a month. I said I didn't care and that I would've preferred to be able to pay everything off and not have my credit go under the cut. They should've explained all the programs to me so that I could have had a choice, but they just explained this one program and I thought it was the one that I wanted. They didn't give me the other choice which is what I would've picked. I am disappointed as I didn't get what I wanted and ended up with my credit score going way down below what I expected.

We've been in the program for a month and a half and I know the progress we’ve made just by calling them. We’ve had one month taken out into escrow. It worked well with our budget. Everything was appropriate to our monthly income. Everything was fantastic except I’m still waiting for all the paperwork to come in the mail. The interest rates for my credit card were so high so I did a lot of research online for debt services. I then found that Pacific Debt Services has a Better Business Bureau approval. Also, their Google profile is very good and there wasn’t anything negative about them at all so I decided to go with them. I pay monthly into an escrow account and when a certain amount is reached, they negotiate with the creditors and pay them off. They said paying our debt could take three years, which is a lot better than the rest of my life. I knew that it was going to cost, but the investments that I’m making into what they’re doing for us is worth it. If I got to pay for it so other people can have it to stay in business, it’s something that I’m willing to pay for. They should be advertised more because there are so many people that are slaves to the credit card company.
We were paying 28% and just barely making the monthly minimum payments enough to not get harassed. We made some bad decisions but this is like old England debtor’s prison. If the interest rates are lower on the credit card, then we could not have gone this route. I feel almost dishonest doing it this way because I’m not paying what I owe. But they’ve made it so that I can’t pay what I owed.
When we were setting it up, my wife and I took 45 minutes on the phone. They asked us a series of questions about our monthly expenses. We cut everything that we could and live according to our means. We’re on a group cell phone plan and we don’t have cable TV. We still got a couple of basic waivers that gave them permission to ask on our behalf.
We agreed to make the monthly payments and set up the dates which are on automatic withdrawal from our accounts. I’m doing my best to make sure there’s money in there for them to take. But I’m not too happy about that. I want to go to the site and put the money in so that I see it go. And then get the confirmation email if Pacific Debt goes away. I see it on my monthly statement but there is no proof. That’d be nice. But you got to do what you got to do. It's good that I got an email informing me about my access to my escrow account. It’s only been two months so I’m not quite that shaken that I haven’t heard from anybody but it’s on my list of calls to make this week. Otherwise, everything was great.

They're pretty good. Josh is the one who is handling our account and he's been fantastic. I’m impressed with his service. He's settled one credit card for a lot less than what we thought it would go and he's working on the other two. He also calls me about every three weeks, making sure I don't have any concerns or questions. He keeps me up to date with everything that's going on as well so between emails and phone calls, I'm kept up to date as to everything he's doing.
The cost is high but then we had some high credit cards too. If Josh keeps settling the other two credit cards like how he did the first one, we’ll be paying a heck of a lot less than if we had to continue paying for the credit card. So that's a plus. Also, if it hadn't been for Pacific Debt and Josh, I would still be getting calls and emails from the credit card people. They're not trying to sue us or send us to collection agents, too. Instead, she said she would text me when she had a settlement for me to agree upon. She has not been very good and I am thinking about requesting for a new account manager because of her shortness with me.
Also, it wouldn't have hurt for them to call and ask me how I was holding up with having this money taken out of my funds because it has been very stressful and straining. I'll be two years with them in six months and we're still in the midst of trying to get everything settled. Most of the account they've done an excellent job on but there’s one they did not do very good on at all. Right now, the smaller accounts should be all done so all I wanted was a courtesy of letting me know their next step. Plus I needed to get a hold of them to see about not taking the payment out next month because we're behind on taxes and we got to get our taxes paid.

I had a lot of bills that needed to be consolidated so I sought Pacific Debt's services. I checked their rating and looked at a couple of blogs then when I talked to the people, I liked what they had to offer. We talked on the phone to see if that was the right company for me to go with and what their terms were. They sent me a contract to fill out. I did and returned it to them. And then, they started negotiating right away with some of the collectors of the bill that I had. And they were able to settle bills pretty quickly. They would call me or text me and say, “Hey, give us a call. We have a settlement. We want to see if this is okay with you.” And then, I have the opportunity to choose whether or not I wanted the settlement. In anything I had a question on, they walked me through it. They kept me updated. And if someone was on vacation they would let me know and someone would step in. That was really good.
They worked with me on everything. There were times I can only pay a certain amount or nothing at all, I tell them about it and make arrangements for the balance in the next periods. They talked to me, told me I can change my mind any time if I don’t want to do it anymore. We have that kind of connection going. They would tell me where I was in the process. I can log online any time I want to, but I'd like to be interacting as actively talking with someone and walking you through it. A lot of people don’t necessarily like to talk to people at that point anymore. But if you want to talk to them, they're right there. They still reach out to me when they have settlements. I work midnight and a lot of those times when they wanted to talk to me, I was asleep. They weren’t mad that I didn’t want to talk to them or anything like that. They were cool. So, I appreciated that.
I have been sharing information about them with coworkers and a couple of people that live in the neighborhood and they were really able to help them out. But it wasn’t like they ask you to tell your friends about them. None of that because their work speak for themselves. Josh is my account manager and I'm now six months away from completion. Usually, I don’t like to talk to guys about money but he really took the time and walked me through it. He was really good and straightforward. Pacific Debt is helping resolve my debts with credit cards and tariffs. They're local in my area so I chose them. The program is still new to me and we’re just getting started. I spoke with them on the phone, answered questions and sent some stuff on the tablet. I'm impressed that they’re willing to help me but they want most of the stuff done with a computer and I am not technology savvy. Even now, I get emails and have absolutely no idea how to forward them or get them transmitted to Pacific Debt other than going down to their office. So I've had to make a couple of trips and I like to do stuff with mail. But working with Pacific Debt has been great so far and I’m happy with my experience. The payment amount is considerably less than what I was paying with all of the combined bills and their rep explained what I needed to pay and how the amount will be automatically withdrawn on a certain day of the month from my bank account.

I was trying to see who’d be able to help me with getting out of debt on my credit cards so I inquired and Pacific Debt gave me the best rates. Also, I read all the reviews of other people on how they felt relieved after they were done with the program. Pacific Debt told me the step by step on what to do during the process. I had to wait for about six months and accrue past due late payments on the cards. They wanted me to fax everything that I received over to them and somebody was in contact with me. After about six months, I was assigned to deal with Kim for the rest of the program. For the most part, it was pretty easy. Anything that I needed to and do, they called me, they would email and let me know if I had to find something on the computer or how to move forward.
Also, Kim was on top of everything and I felt that she is out to help me going through the struggle of trying to get everything taken care of, making all the payments and negotiating well with the credit card companies. She's also very accommodating. She tried to see which date of the month works and which one is going to be able to help me make the payments and have flexibility with my other bills that I have. I feel comfortable with Kim and she's very well with what she does. Then, if their payment needs to be changed, as long as I call a few days prior to, it’s not an issue. I felt that they want their clients to be happy with the service, feel at ease that everything is going to be negotiated and after everything is done, they’d be able to move forward. So far, it has put me at ease with all my other bills and statements and with my credits.

I talked to Pacific Debt's salespeople and they sounded honest. Then, they needed documentation which we send monthly and we were in contact pretty much weekly. They would call every couple of weeks to see if everything is okay and they negotiated on our behalf with the creditors. We just started last year and it’s going to be on for another couple of years.
They take a fee for it, but they seem like they know what they’re doing and they're responsive. Usually, I’ll send an email. They’re in California and I’m in New York. They’re three hours back there so, we knew I’d get an answer later in the day here in New York but every time I’ll send an email or call, someone will pick up the phone or answer my mail. Also, they're open and every time there's a settlement opportunity, they contact me immediately. They also have exactly the connections in the right places. There’s a monthly draft that they calculate for the payment and it’s an auto withdraw from the bank. It’s worth it for their quality of service and I’m happy we decided to go with a debt relief program.

Pacific Debt's customer reviews were outstanding so I went with them. My minimum payment was getting way too high, and the cost of their services is a lot cheaper than what my minimum payment will be on the credit card right now. To run away from unsecured debt, Pacific Debt is negotiating a reduction of the principals. They set an amount that is being removed, that we're paying each month, and as that piles up, they're supposed to then apply it to the settlement of individual accounts. We've been paying them for four months now and we haven't seen a settlement yet. But it should begin to be resolved shortly. Also, they've been very good at explaining to me what their intent is and what our strategy is with withholding payment from the creditor. They were able to explain things in terms that I can understand.

They went over everything and gave me a couple of calls about it. They made sure I understood everything and I was feeling comfortable with it. My personal account manager seems to know what he’s talking about. They looked at my income and the entire situation and found a good monthly number for it. They’ve been reaching out to me and have been providing me everything I need in case I have a question. I’m still in the process of completing the program but the peace of mind knowing that I can get out of debt brings a lot of hope and it’s the biggest thing. They were fair, honest and the payment plan was more suitable for my needs. They provided debt settlement and they took down all my account information from all my lenders. Then, they research and contact the lenders regarding how much debt is owed and they negotiate for a more suitable rate that’s more affordable. I'm somewhere in the middle of the program and it's been working well so far. Also, I was very pleased with the personal account manager. They charge 21% while the other place charges 18%. Also, Pacific Debt is in San Diego, California and they're kind of local. So far, being in their program has been okay. Their rep started settling the debts within three months of me paying into it. That was a big plus. Working on my payment plan has been pretty good too. It’s still a little bit tight, but it’s better than paying the full amount.
I wish they would work on the bigger debts in the beginning though then settle the little ones. They settled three out of 12 cards already, which were not the smallest ones but maybe the easiest for them to settle. But I’m worried about the bigger debts and I’m afraid I might be taken to court. I understand though that it takes time and money to settle accounts. And even though I still worry, at least I know that somebody’s working on it. I would recommend Pacific Debt.

Pacific Debt had a good rating so I selected them to do my debt settlement. I contacted them. Then they contacted me and went over the terms and told me what I needed to do. I was having problems with the large payment once a month so I chose twice a month and that worked out for me. They had been working with me to make the payment plan manageable. I'm satisfied with the process.
The only problem that with them was a pre-formatted reply requesting that I get them a statement from my creditors. I let them know that I didn't like that letter. I couldn't help it because I've been sick and hadn't been able to supply all the information. But I came to find out it was a form letter. They need to be more specific with what they don't like rather than send out some letter to everybody they're working with. But I like the account manager a lot and Pacific Debt was there when I needed them. The debt settlement is going well, and I've had less stress. I’ve nearly got half of my creditors in less than a year set up on some sort of a payment plan from my trust. They got it lined out for me so I didn't have to deal with all of that. It's gonna be a three-year process and hopefully less.

The phone calls and the threatening letters have died down and then he said within the next two months, he’d contact the rest. We’re only a year in out of three. Brian calls me once a month to let me know if there are any new developments. And if I get any mail or letter, I just forward it right to him so I’m real happy and comfortable with them. I’ve gotten responses from my credit card company saying they’ve gotten payments and telling me how long it’s going to take for them to pay, so I know.
As for the payment plan, Pacific Debt has an automatic withdrawal once a month that goes into a private account and I have a private bank that’s under my account. I can take the money if I decide to quit with them because the account is in my name but they have power of attorney to withdraw and I get a monthly bank statement from them. I previewed a website and Pacific Debt had the best reviews. They're consolidating my debts and are currently working with me on a couple of accounts. We started six months ago and it was easy the first time I called. They were easy to understand and they helped me out and explained the entire process. The first time I called was the first time I decided to set everything up. Everything has been straightforward and down to earth so it was exactly what I was looking for. A guy set me up and told me everything that was gonna happen. He sent me all the documents and walked me through the process. He told me everything that I needed to sign via email and it was easy to sign.
Then he told me to make sure that I follow the steps, to send them any paperwork that they need every month and that my account was set up so that six months from now I would have an account manager contact with me and begin negotiations with my debt accounts and start the process of paying off the debt. It was simple and they did most of the legwork. If there's something that I forget they let me know so I can get the information to them and they've been clear on the process. Its simplicity worked for me. My accounts are trying to contact me to get my money. But besides that everything was simple as far as getting everything set up and making sure it's ready for whenever Pacific Debt starts their process.
They explained what I was gonna be paying every month which was less than what I was gonna end up paying towards all my debts. They set a timeframe of three years and all my debt will be taken care of. They explained the fees that they would have for what percentage they would be taking and what percentage will be going towards the bills and the coursing of the negotiations that have to happen so that they'll know exactly what kind of settlements I'll be able to get and what payments I'll be able to start making on the settlements. They were clear on everything. I'm pleased with Pacific Debt.

We sent in our accounts and they figure out how much we owed. They come to a monthly total that we pay in escrow. From what they tell me, they’ll work on like one creditor to get it settled and then their fee comes when they settle with whoever. After it builds up, they start working on settling our accounts and they get a certain percentage off of the settlements that comes out of what we're already paying into the escrow. We’ve only been in it for a couple of months.
Also, they’re willing to change how much we’re paying if we want to pay longer or pay shorter length of time. They’ve been pretty good about that. Right now, we have a certain person assigned to it. It takes about six months and we’ve only been it for three but they call once in a while to check on it and ask if I have any questions. The last time they called was only a week ago and nothing much has happened yet. I didn’t really have too many questions but if I do have any, they answer me on the phone. Last December, I did research on the internet and saw that Pacific Debt had an A+ rating. I looked at them and read reviews by current customers and then I called for information and talked to someone who was wonderful, a really good person. We went through all of the details and he explained everything very clearly. I made the decision then that I wanted to do this. I am up to my eyeballs in credit card debt and I’m going to be 65 this year. I want to retire sometime. I needed a way to get that reorganized and have someone negotiate with the credit card companies in my favor when I looked at the interest rate I was being charged. They gave me positive feedback that they would be able to do that.
I signed the contract where, “It’s 48 months. This is the amount you’ll pay.” They won’t start negotiating with my creditors until next month. The idea is that you set up an escrow account. I pay into that every month and they have enough money to start negotiating and making payments to the credit card companies. They’re very good about following up. They want me to fax or email all of my credit card bills as they come in. I do that. Someone calls once a month or they call as often as you want to say, “Do you have any problems?” When I started getting that, “We’re referring your account to the credit manager,” or “This is an attorney trying to settle this,” I immediately email those. If I’m feeling nervous about it, I call and talk to them.
The first time that happened, they said, “Actually, sometimes it’s better for us to deal with the credit agency.” So I’m hoping. The one really bad thing is I turned off the ringer of my phone in my bedroom and my living room because I get, at the beginning, almost 20 calls a day. I had nine creditors, and all of them called every day and sometimes twice a day. I got two calls at work and I said, “I won’t take calls at work.” and then they’re sending not registered letters but overnight letters. Right now, I talk to a group of people, but starting in June, when they start negotiating with the creditors, I’ll have a dedicated person to my account. The other thing is that you can withdraw from the program. You’re not locked in and there’s no extra fees. I don’t feel like I’m trapped with them.
They told me what my monthly payment is, but they said, “If you pay more than that, you can finish this earlier,” so I’ve been trying. When I get my income tax, I pay them more. If for some reason I come into some money, I’d try to give them a big portion of that because I want to retire sometime in the next 10 years. All of my interaction with them has been really good and very positive. They’re attentive and they return calls. I can call them anytime. Next month will be the big tell when they start negotiating. We’ll see how that goes.

I tried other companies but they were too pushy and one of them was snarky and condescending with me so I didn’t get any of them. I called Pacific Debt because the reviews were good. They explained to me what the debt consolidation process is. The debt gets taken care of like having a trust. It makes me feel better that I’m paying my debt and not the interest alone. The amount that I was paying my creditors was the minimum amount. Now, I’m paying more than what the minimum amounts were, but this isn’t going to go on for the rest of my life. It’s okay because it’s not even half of one of my checks and it's doable.
I spoke with Eric and Anthony. Both of them were very smart in being friendly with me on the phone. I don’t have children, I have dogs and we talked dog. And that just help remove me from all that anxiety. I’m very apprehensive about doing this. It’s not something that I’m happy about. I’m a very organized and meticulous person and I also had a spending problem. But I wasn’t made to feel like I was a bad person or that, “Oh, how could you let it get like this?” They were very calm and reassuring and that went a long way with me. They got back to me right away for any question I had. They’re younger than me but they’re very knowledgeable about what they do. But there was one thing that I still haven’t gotten a good answer. So I am going to call Eric today and ask the question again and say, “I need an answer to this.”

I started debt counselling a few months ago and they looked at what I was currently paying and talked to me about what I was capable of paying. We came up with something that was less than what I was paying but enough to make progress and something that I could sustain. I'm paying them into an account and since the creditors won't negotiate until it's been about three months of me paying the bills, they have just started negotiating with them to reduce my debt, so I'm now getting into the part of the program where I make progress. Ultimately, I'm going to end up paying less than I would have if I had done this on my own and that was what I was looking for. They take a percentage, but I'm paying less overall, so it's fine with me.
In general, the company is very good at being available if you have any questions. They were kind, understanding and willing to talk through things and customer support has been really good so far. In the short term, it's been stressful because not paying your creditors means that you constantly get calls from them, but Pacific Debt warned me about that part of the process and talked me through how to deal with it and what my legal responsibilities are. When the creditors started calling, making threats and trying to scare me into paying, I knew exactly how to respond. Overall, you don't want to be in the position where you have to do this, but if you have to go this route, it's better than bankruptcy and Pacific Debt is definitely a good company to go with. It's a difficult process with a supportive company.

We're still currently working with them but we went through and had the initial phone calls and set up the paperwork and the accounts. And everything seemed to be smooth. Everyone I have talked with and cared for my situation have been helpful, supportive and very forthright with the information. I've heard from them a few different times checking in to see how things are going. And they gave me a good and clear understanding of what was expected and what I could expect. The biggest benefit of working with them is reducing my overall outgoing/expenditures for my consumer debt. Also, they have a fair cost to what service they're providing and it's the lowest out of all the companies I looked at.

Pacific Debt Inc looked like it's going to be a helping thing. They seemed like a good company and that they knew what they were doing. I decided to go for it and settle my debt. But when I got in, it turned out it was more of a debt settlement. I started off with calling them and getting signed up. The lady who I initially dealt with, Eva, was really great. She made sure I was comfortable with what was going on and kept me well-informed. She was just very understanding and very nice about the whole thing. She walked me through to signing process and was very empathetic. It was nice.
Unfortunately, I don't get to stay with that first person I talked to because my account got moved to a team. So, I dealt with different people since then. The account manager was courteous and very knowledgeable. He always looks at the account and verifies the account information before proceeding. I'm currently with the Client Care so I haven't moved on to my own agent yet for the debt settlement.
They made sure that I had everything set up in their program and had access to my account with all the documentation needed. The authorization with the attorney where I sign a release of my information to the companies was also set up. They went through everything with me to make sure I knew what was going on. They did a few follow-up calls reminding me to send my bill to a certain address. Once that started going, I started getting my monthly bills to that address. And also a few follow-up calls making sure that everything's still going good and that I still understand what's going on.
At one point, I did have a question about my account because there are one or two charges that I wasn't sure about. I called in and they explained it to me. It turns out that it was all part of the process and it was a slight misunderstanding. And so, it worked out just fine. It's been pretty smooth-sailing. I haven't moved on to the next step just yet but they've done great so far. They're a great company that seemed to care.
The payment plan is not too bad. I've got quite a bit of debt. Pacific Debt does a certain time frame and I wish it would lower. But unfortunately, it is what it is and that's not what you can do in some cases. I'm still going to be paying for two and a half years. I won't really see a change in my life because it's a lot of money coming out of the monthly payment of a single mom. It's still too early to say but once they settle my debt and stop getting calls from creditors, I will feel more comfortable with it. I won't get that final relief until it's completely done.

Minimum payments on credit cards were not getting anywhere and I was getting behind. I was ready to get out of that whole fiasco so I did a research and Pacific Debt Inc had the best company ratings. The people at Pacific Debt have been great. They call about once a month to make sure that I'm sending my payments in and following the payment program. I still get calls from creditors but hopefully, that will end soon once we start paying off some stuff. It's been great so far and I'm relieved from a lot of stress.

I worked with another company before but they just weren't doing anything and I haven't been able to pay a debt that is 60 years of payment. With Pacific Debt Inc, they have better ratings. Right now, we're building up our little fund that pays everything off. They're getting our account information and stuff like that. They haven't made any settlement offers yet and we are still being assisted by the consumer manager and the consumer affairs department. We will be dealing with an account manager when we have a certain amount billed to my account. The cost of the program is pretty commensurate with what they offer. They're in fact a bit easier to deal with than the others that I have looked at. They have all been very helpful when I needed to talk to them.
The only thing that they would do is somehow get the statements on their own from the companies. I know that they don't have the right to do that unless you would release it but it would be easier to submit monthly statements to them if possible.

We called Pacific Debt, they explained the program and, we went back to the internet. My wife and I checked them out and did a little bit of research and saw the reviews. We gave them the information as far as what our debt was. They walked us through in how long it was going to take and what kind of payment it was and then told my wife to determine whether or not it was something we wanted to do. From there, we made the decision to go ahead and go with them because they were forthright, upfront and they gave us all the information that we needed to know as far as payments.
They’ve contacted us through email and through the phone usually once or twice a month to make sure that if we had questions or if we had any kind of situation or problems that we knew who, right away, to go through and to talk to. It is also make sure that we were feeling okay with everything that we were doing and to remind us that if, at any time, something happens that we have the power to basically say, “Okay. No more of this, this is done.” I like that if I feel that they’re not doing the job that I need them to do, then I have that ability to stop it. I also send them emails of all the bills that we receive for our debt. Then they contact us saying that they received it. When a new settlement goes through they will contact us and say, “This is what is going on.” I just wish they would communicate with us more frequently.
One of the strange things that I found was that once it all happened it was a relief. Once I talked to her she soothed me very much in saying, “Hey, look. We can deal with this. We can do this. It’s kind of a partnership.” It made me feel that she was with me, a part of me and we’re going to get through this together. They have worked with me because my daughter has cancer. They have worked with me with that because of I’m also having to take care of her and I’ve had to pick up her bills and all. So, I have been able to move my payments. So far, everything has been good.
For what they’re doing, I don’t have a problem with the cost. A weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. Because of Pacific Debt and what they’ve done for us, we’ve been able to do more. We’ve been able to deal with my daughter and spend the amount of time at the hospital. I haven’t had the worries that I had the year before. If a friend would ask me about Pacific Debt, I will tell them that if they were in the trouble that we had got ourselves into and they needed something, I would not hesitate in the slightest to give them the information and tell them to go through these guys.

We had some renters and we were trying to be landlords and they cost us more money. I tried to seek less interest of both the places and there wasn't one to give it to me. I didn't see any way out and didn't want to go bankrupt so then, I looked into relief help. I tried one company and there wasn't enough information. I've never been late on a bill before so this was totally new to me. I happened to get online and saw what I'm getting myself into. Pacific Debt had a better rating and better feedback than the other company I first talked to. So, I called the other place and told them I changed my mind. I then got my money back and went with Pacific. I'm pleased I did.
I got my creditors to lower what I owe and I had done it in a decent manner. I sent them the paperwork and did everything they asked me to do. My account manager was personable and working with him was great. There was a lot more information and he walked me through it a lot more than I was with the other company. The waiting period drove me nuts but they assured me that all things were going to stop. As for my payment plan, they took money out automatically. They would contact me every now and then to ask me how things are going or if I had any questions. Their customer support was terrific. I would recommend Pacific Debt to anyone that's having problems like I was. It's a great alternative compared to bankruptcy. Everything has been settled. On the whole, my experience with Pacific Debt was fantastic.

I’m a single mom who has two jobs, I have a daughter in college and I was spending $800 a month alone and I was sinking in debts. But I work, it’s not like I sit back and eat bonbons all day. When I heard about Pacific Debt, I was lying in bed and I was crying and this advertisement came on the radio. So I called them and started getting some information and I work in law enforcement so I said, “this is a scam. I don’t think this is right.” I started searching on the internet and I said, “well, I know that they’re a real company” but then I Google what’s the number one in the business and I think Pacific Debt might have been number two and the main reason I went with Pacific Debt is because they are credited through the BBB.
At first, I send in all the creditors. At that point, when I first contact Pacific Debt, I was not behind on any payment and I was not getting any letters from creditors. They set up an account with me for Crossroads and tell me this amount each month. Once I start getting the letters saying I was late and all this stuff, then that’s when they started dealing with the creditors.
I’ve been setup for three years and I’ve been in the program for 8 months. It worked because it's lower. I’m paying half of what I was paying out and they have made settlements with two of my creditors. I’ve gotten emails about deals or settlements with two creditors. Everyone from the very initial phone call until now has been very professional, courteous and informative. I have not had one bad experience with Pacific Debt. For my payment plan, they gave me a number and said, “Would that be okay?” and I said, “It’s better when I was paying out” but I said, “yeah.”
My personal account manager was very knowledgeable and informative. I haven’t needed her for anything but everyone has talked me through this process because I have been very skeptical of them. They’re all very nice and patient. That’s definitely a good thing to have, patience. Especially for something like this. And they’re right because I’m on law enforcement, cops calm me down. To other people, they make them nervous and they do what is asked all the time. To be honest, it’s just an everyday thing but this is new to me so they had to calm me down.
I’ve been talking to several of my friends about Pacific Debt because they are in the same situation I am. Pacific Debt can help. We’re paying the money back to our creditors but we’re not paying all that interest rate, it’s a fact. I have been recommending them to people. It’s been a positive influence on my life. I’m still stressed about money because loss happened but not after this. I’ve had a positive experience and I’m so glad I called them.

We did an internet search and reviewed a few different companies and Pacific Debt had the best record. They provided credit card consolidation for us. The only thing I had to do was enroll and get them all the information and paperwork for each of the accounts that we wanted, so that they could go through and determine what they could save us as far as getting that paid down and how quickly we could get it paid down.
Carly was our personal account manager and she was great. It took us a little while to get her because they were looking at different things before they would assign her to us. But once they did, she was fantastic. She was proactive with everything that we wanted to do. And when I called and did not get her, I got her voicemail. She returned my calls in a prompt manner. The only thing that it came down to was her dealing with a few of the accounts that we had. They didn't end up getting the results that we ultimately wanted. Her hands were tied in a lot of what they were willing to do. So, that doesn't necessarily fall back on Carly. We are not happy with two accounts that didn't get settled for less than what we have but that's the only thing.
For our payment plan, they asked for what we feel comfortable paying in a month, where we wanted to fall with what our total was and how quickly we wanted to get that paid off. The quality of service met our expectations. There were a couple that didn't but overall, what we signed up for and what we received was right on par. If someone were in the same situation as ours and making minimum payments in paying interest and paying penalties at some point, this was wonderful. It's going to take us a little bit to get back on track as far as the credit rating is concerned. But we are heading that way.

I had five credit cards that Pacific Debt told me to stop paying. I set up a deal with them where I gave them all the money and then they negotiate the accounts down. All the accounts have been settled so all that's left is I finish out the payments to Pacific Debt. I have about $1,200 bucks left that they just keep taking out of my account monthly. The people from Pacific Debt tried to answer my questions and kept me posted with the progress of the various accounts and if the accounts accepted our offers. For the payment plan, they came up with a number and said, "Hey, can you afford $270 a month?" I said, "Sure." And they responded, "This is going to be your payment for the next two years. Welcome aboard."
It's been an educational process where I'm an expert now so I can explain it to any of my children, friends or colleagues that have questions about it. I hear these advertisements on the radio and my blood pressure goes up because they said, "Yeah, we can lower your debt." That’s their hook for you to join the program, but it's not the truth. You're still going to have to pay the whole balance, it's just that Pacific Debt gets the other half.

As far as the people they were great to talk to. It was the fact that it affected my taxes greatly. Also the effect it has on my credit score. And I was under the assumption that the amount I was paying every month covered the settlement fees. But when they came out to be almost as much as what I was saving it didn't make sense to me to keep in with the program.

Angela, thank you so much for your review. We value all consumer feedback. We are glad you had a great experience with all of our staff and wanted to follow up on your concerns.
1) Credit - we are upfront about the fact that your credit score will go down most likely when you enroll in a debt settlement program. We also re-review this with our clients during our Welcome / QA Call just to confirm everything was explained to you properly during the enrollment process.
2) Taxes - we aren't tax advisers and we review this during the scripted portion of the enrollment process that their might be tax consequences of debt settlement. Keep in mind, you typically only pay your marginal tax rate based on the amount saved. Additionally, fees paid to PDI or to escrow can often be deducted against the savings.
Additionally, to your last point about total savings, we feel it's important for consumers to compare their savings, not to the principal balance of what is owed at the beginning, but to the total repayment with interest on the debt. $20,000 in credit card debt can easily inflate to $30, 40 or 50k with interest.

They're still on it and they did get me an excellent deal with one of the creditors. However, I haven't heard from the other creditor regarding what they're doing. So, that bothers me. I got a letter and check from this particular creditor a few weeks ago. They are turning over my debt to a collection agency which tells me that the consolidation company is either dragging their feet on negotiations or hasn't started negotiations yet.
Pacific Debt is a good company but I would explain to others to explore other collection people before they make up their mind. I was in panic mode when I did select them. And maybe that was not a good thing for me. If I've done a little bit more investigating, I might have found something more doable. I was under the assumption that when you got onto one of those, they immediately start paying out the debt. And I was so wrong. Every company should tell you those things. Luis, my personal account manager, has been able to settle my debt for a reasonable amount. It came down to almost 50% of what I was paying when each minimum payment has been combined.
I feel very comfortable working with Luis. I'd talk to him when he gets closer to settling a debt. Any time that I get a notice, I'll send it over to him. In the beginning, I'd get a phone call from him once every month to go over the program and see how it was going. The last time I talked to him was in January and he told me what the game plan was. He said that he's looking to possibly build up the account and then try to settle my next debt in June.
Also, their customer support was really good. I wasn't receiving any communication now that we're into the program. I don't wanna be constantly reminded about my debt either. Since working with Pacific Debt, I could better provide for my family. I have a daughter and it's been allowing me not to let her miss out on anything and to be able to afford to put her through daycare. In the end, they will get me out of the debt that I wanted to get out of. I have great things to say about Pacific Debt. Based on talking with the people from Pacific Debt and also how they compared with other companies out there in terms of their rating and their ranking, I did the credit card consolidation with them. It’s been following from a divorce so I'm trying to work that down. They were more straightforward and didn’t make boasts that seemed unreasonable. They were also more rational and they explained what they do and what I might expect in terms of settlements.
During the process, you take all of the statements that you get, send it to Pacific Debt, you hold off on paying your creditors and put it in escrow. Once it gets to a certain amount of escrow, they approach the creditor and say, “We’ve been retained. Let’s negotiate towards a settlement of this outstanding debt.” They then notify you what’s their settlement and they give you a case manager to work with.
So far, it's been good with Pacific. However, they said to expect a call because they thought that they’d be able to get a settlement pretty quickly. But I haven’t heard from them in the last few weeks regarding that. I have two cards, one’s settled and one was pending. It was the smaller one that they’re still working on. Other than that, it's nice to know that you have somebody that is helping you through it and you don’t have to do everything on your own. My target period in the program is about three years and it’s easier to figure out how you’re going to do that for a few years rather than an unknown period of time.

The process started out with coming up with how much money that I should pay them 'til they get like a lump sum. Then they can work with the credit card companies to get rid of the whole credit card amount and pay it off. That takes about seven months 'til there is money build up.
They're helping to arrange payment for three credit cards that I had overextended. At the beginning, I kept bugging them because I wanted them to start to work with the companies. But they had to get this money built up before they could even go to them. They usually call me once a month to tell me what's going on. I appreciate everything they've done so far. Citi Card worked with them to cut the amount in half and to pay them for 12 months. I really like their methods and I can tell that working with them is helping me to get rid of what I owe. I would recommend them and if a friend asks me, I would tell him to take this company into consideration instead of filing for bankruptcy and having to start his credit all over.

I inherited a lot of credit card debt because of my significant other. When she left, I'm a disabled veteran living on a fixed income. So I just quit paying my bills and needed help. I Googled and Pacific Debt was one of the names that popped up. They were the first ones that I spoke with and I liked them. I talk to my credit advocate all the time. She writes me via email or I give her a phone call. If I can't get a hold of her, she'll call me back within 10 to 15 minutes. Pacific Debt helped me out with my debt. There was one where I was almost going to court and they're taking care of it right now.

When my son was in financial trouble, we had a choice of declaring bankruptcy or maintaining some level of creditability. So I looked for someone that could reassign the debt. Pacific Debt has done it a lot and they had some positive reviews, so I entered into it. The debt collection is a nasty process, but Pacific Debt has taken that out. We're still working through it because they only have renegotiated one that I'm aware of. They have reached out a little bit, but I only put money in the bank and they pull it out. I assume that they're continuing on but I could use an update on where we are at this point in time, although they do respond when I have had an inquiry. My son still got some other issues to work through, but this was a step A and working with Pacific debt has been helpful and positive.

I’ve been working with them for less than a year but they said everything will be taken care of in five years. They were straightforward and called me about settlements and the fee and if I had any questions. They’re getting me out of the debt and that’s a good thing. They are taking the funds out and they are paying off my creditors.

I was needing some help with my my finances so I decided to seek the help of Pacific Debt. I contacted their reps several times and then, they called back. We had interactions with them in getting the documentation I needed to get everything rolling and then, the account manager called me up to give me updates on how things were going. I've been working with them for about a year now. I’ve got just one payment right now and the amount that I’ll have by the time it’s paid off is going to be far less than what I would’ve been able to owe and it got me on my situation years ahead of time. It’s made things, as far as financially, quite a bit easier for me to deal with. They even kept my bills paid.

I was maxed out on all of my credit cards and did not have enough money. I was also getting a divorce and had worse financial problems. I kept thinking that there is something that I can do to take care of it. But every turn that I had was blocked off. I only have a part-time job because I'm not in good health at all. I was thinking for months before I decided to check into something and call. I saw Pacific Debt’s advertisement on MSNBC and I called that number. They referred me to the Pacific Debt branch.
At first, I thought it was pretty good because when I would call to talk to the assistance, they would be able to route me to an actual advocate. I did get some deferred payments and that was good. I also felt very positive about them. However, I felt a little bit dragging behind the lag there. I've also got an advocate, but it's kind of slowing down. It's been over a week since I called there and I haven't heard back from her. I'm not doing that well either because they wanted me to turn in some papers from the credit card people and I didn’t do it because I had so many different things. I also found out later on that they charged me a much higher fixed rate than they should have.
I owe someone $3,600 and they've been nagging me about it. I'm saying, "I don't have any money. So, I can't do anything about it right now. But I hope to get to this other stuff done and catch up and get me bills to do that." And then, the guy said, "Well, how about this payment plan?" And he offered me for $2,000 which is a lot less percentage wise than what Pacific Debt was. At the time, I was fairly impressed but it was lowered somewhat. It sounds better because that included their fee which they have to pay. They've got overhead and people to pay. It was less than what I owed and they were going to handle that for me and take the stress off me. I thought that was a good deal. But at the same time, I was aware that I didn't know if that was the best deal I could find if I was confident enough to shop around and knew what I was doing.

We've read some reviews, how long Pacific Debt have done their business. They’re reputable and has good ratings. I called them and asked a lot of questions before I agreed to do it with them. I was in debt and felt frustrated. After working with Pacific Debt, I wasn't so stressed out and I felt that there was light at the end of the tunnel. There were extensive phone conversations, 30 minutes of explanation on how they work, what they're going to do, setting reasonable goals and the steps to accomplish them. They sent me information in case I missed or didn't understand something. They've called me every week or every two weeks to talk to me and they also sent me emails about what they had accomplished and what the next plan was. The one lady I worked with was very nice, takes time out of her day to call.
We went through all the bills and everything we owed and they gave us an estimated time at a certain rate paid when they would be done or completed. And they said, "Of course, if you pay, contribute more money, we can pay it off faster." They've gone through and tackled the two biggest things I had facing me and knocked one out in quick fashion. Working on the second one now. They explained how they had working relations with some of the people who were trying to collect from us. And made it simple. They called and asked for a permission before they do anything or take any steps. I take a picture of any mail and I send it to Tina ** and she takes action.
My overall experience has been pleasant and uplifting. Positive comes to mind instantly. Every time I think about it for several times throughout the day and every time I'd open mail, it would just be depressing. I have somebody working for me to change all that. I have a time in which I can actually start thinking about my future. There seem to be some hope to get back on track again. I own a house. I would like to move. But until I get these debts paid off, I can't do that. So, now at least I have a goal and a plan in place. I have a time frame. It's invigorating and nice. I would certainly recommend them. A friend of mine recommended me another place. I'm glad that I went here because they've been very involved, stayed in contact with me. Sometimes more or so than you would even think anybody would.

They also sent me emails and I responded back. One time when I received a letter, I asked, "What does this mean?" So I read it verbatim to them and they told me what it meant, what's next, what to do and what not to do. It has been great. My outstanding debt just wasn’t getting any better and I wasn’t really able to balance life and responsibility. I went online and from everything I read, it seemed Pacific Debt Inc is a good choice. I also did some research because I was mainly concerned to make sure that they weren’t fraudulent. Having Pacific Debt Inc handle my affairs by signing a power of attorney was probably the best thing I could have done. It’s kind of been working all great since they’ve taken over. I’ve been working with them over a year now. The payment arrangement is also excellent and I can actually put food on the table now.
I also liked that their credit advocates would contact me and make sure that it was convenient, or that I was available. If I wasn’t, they were able to reschedule. They called me on my watch, not their watch which was really nice. They would call me up and talk to me, ask me what I needed, how things were going and what I needed to do on my end, and kind of walk me through the process and hold my hand. I’d get an email on confirmations and any kind of documents. And if I needed anything at any time, I can either call or email and each time I had a Pacific person to contact. So, I was always aware who was getting control of my account.

We were able to get a hold of someone and got the problem resolved. However, I misunderstood a little bit as far as the way they do the debt consolidation. I wasn't happy about the money that I pay in. They do it one at a time instead of everything at once. So, it appears to be that I'm making payments on one source. The way that they're doing it, it takes longer for my credit to start to get back. As far as my credit goes, it seems that I'm not paying the other debts and nothing's going on. They were the second one we contacted and they were able to make it work with us for our monthly budget. They laid out what they set up for us monthly and how long it would take to get things handled.
Their reps usually check in at least once a month with us, as well as when they get some settlements. Every person that I've talked to has been super great and answered any questions I had. There wasn't anything that they couldn't answer. They really were able to bring everything into where we could work with it with our monthly budget and did really good at settling some things a lot lower than what other companies were telling us we would have to pay.
They also made it clear that it'd be better if we were able to ever do more, because the more they have to work with, the quicker they can get things handled for us. They've done a really good job at getting everything going and handling everything for us. And we've been happy with how it's gone along. Although I wish we had more to make it go faster, but that was the point of doing a debt settlement.

I was trying to get my bills consolidated but I didn't know what to do because the bank that I have been dealing with for years wouldn't do it and I couldn't get a loan anywhere. I don't get but $1204 a month but I said at that time if Pacific Debt could help me get out of my debt, I would be willing to sacrifice $700 out of my check. When my washing machine went out I wasn't able to have it fixed right away nor buy a new one so I had to go to the wash house to wash my clothes. My accounts were closed up like Sears for my warranties and stuff that I had on the washing machine that was covered through Sears. So I chose that as one of the warranties on the list that they're working with.
I'm limited to do so much, and on top of that, I have my tax to pay so I had to try to jiggle around to try to pay it. And I just paid it because I don't want to go into that situation when I don't pay taxes. So I paid one installment and now I'm gonna try to pay the next one before April 10th or by April 10th so it won't go delinquent. But Pacific Debt paid one debt off with US Bank, and I'm looking forward to the rest of my debt being taken care of. I don't know how many years it's gonna take but I hope it's soon. I had my mother living with us and we were running into medical bills, and I wasn't getting any help from my siblings. So, I had to use my credit card. All I wanted was for my credit card companies to help me for a couple of months until I got myself back in shape again financially, but I couldn't get any of them to work with me. The folks that I thought would help me did not, and in some cases were somewhat rude. But what really irritated me the most was that I'd been with these companies as a devoted customer for years, and one of them for almost 25 years, and I had never been late on any payments.
The bottom line was, I was looking for some help, and I did a lot of research on the various agencies that were helping people with debt relief programs. I felt so bad that I had to go that far, but I had no choice at that point. I'm 68 years old and it's going to take me awhile to recuperate from this situation. I've never had this ever happen to me before and I had a very bad, guilty feeling about it.
In getting debt relief help, I did a leap of faith and said, "I'm just gonna see what happens. Let me try this." I had actually seen some reviews where people were complaining, because the company didn't do something and charged them some amount. But I'm pretty savvy when it comes to these things, and so I made sure I had all the details that I needed before I went into this. I was not about to be blind-sided. I'd already had enough problems with the credit card companies. I worked on this for a whole week and I didn't even say anything to my husband at first. I waited until I was completely sure that this is what I had to do, and then I sat down and talked with him, and I told him why I had to do this. But he understood.
Then I talked with Pacific Debt and sent an email giving them the details on the help that I needed. They got back with me after putting a plan together for me that was more than reasonable and would help me get to where I had to go. They're a fabulous company and they’ve never let me down. They were very good about keeping in contact and doing what they said they were going to do. They’ve done exactly what I had asked them to do with my credit card companies. Although in one of the debts, I felt that we should try to move a little faster. But through an extensive conversation with them to make me feel at ease, they explained to me in detail the reason why they were waiting. They knew every time I was on the phone with them that this was very traumatic for me and I was stinging over having to do this. But they've done an excellent job for me.
That's why I've told somebody about the Pacific debt relief program. A very dear friend of mine is running to some severe financial problems. She's 74 years old, she has lost her husband, and she's up against the wall because she ran into things that she didn't even know existed with her husband, and that's where the problem came in. I told her, "With all due respect, with your credit rating at this point, what are you buying? This is what I did, and it might be something that could help you. Think about it before you do it.”
If she has no other choice at this time, other than to file for bankruptcy, which she doesn't want to do, then going with Pacific’s debt relief program would be my suggestion to her. In fact, I said to my friend that if she files for bankruptcy, then she’ll just be walking away from the problem totally. But by going into a debt relief program, at least she’d be making an effort to pay someone back to get her out of the mess that she’s in. When you're at the end of your rope, this is probably the best way to go.

I got all these credit cards and everybody's threatening to take me to jail which is nonsense. I work in finance so I'm not an unsophisticated consumer. But with all those debts piling up and no way to dig out from under it, I panicked. So I looked for a debt relief company and started out with an outfit in Florida and talked to them. But I wanted somebody in proximity to me in the Southern California area since I'm in Orange County. And then I found Pacific Debt which is located in San Diego.
They told me how they would negotiate with the credit card companies and get the debt down. I gave them the cards I needed to be taken care of and they negotiated. They reduced the debt. They set me up on a monthly payment plan and I would get statements from other credit agencies. The money goes into a big account, and then it's drawn out according to the agreements they make with these other companies that are probably collections agencies by this time. So then, I get a notice that they were drawing out this and that and so forth.
I'm not dealing with five or six different angry companies now. They took that whole load off of me and we're dealing with each of them separately. The companies stopped calling me and sending me emails and that certainly brightened my whole outlook on life. It was a big relief to work with Pacific Debt and have them deal with this because I was just to the end of my patience and didn't know what to do exactly. There was no way I was gonna pay off all that debt. Especially if it was turned over a collection agency, then they'd want the whole thing. So, it was good to have an intermediary there who is on my side and working to put an end to all of these.
The young lady I worked with was very polite and patient. She was very informative and provided detailed explanations. She also contacted me only when necessary and would send me updates on a periodic basis. Then, about a month ago she contacted me and told me that they were negotiating the whole deal. Pacific Debt would be finished with me and turn me over to this other company that's doing a loan service to finish the thing. I've finished the program but they managed to send, put it, roll it all up into one package and handed off to somebody else. Now, I'm making a single payment to another firm and quite frankly, I want to get rid of that as soon as I can because the interest rate is a little higher than what I would hope. But they, at least, settled with all the other creditors and handed it off to me.
The only concern I have is now, I have this loan and it is one payment. But it was all a positive experience with Pacific Debt. I can't think of a single thing that I was concerned about and I have nothing deleterious to say about them. In the least, they did what they signed up to do. So I would certainly recommend that somebody talk to them.

And so, everything fell into place and that's when we decided to go forward with them. They're very helpful and answered all my questions. They would call me and give me updates and ask questions. And it was very simple because all I needed to do was to mail in statements and they would take care of the rest.
Before I contacted Pacific Debt, I was a little stressed out and worried. And then, afterwards, I got pretty much the help I needed and the comfort that everything was gonna be taken care of the way I needed it to be. A lot of debt is gonna be gone pretty soon, in just a short amount of time, which would have taken me years or the price of bankruptcy to do it. Pacific Debt has definitely given me a peace of mind and something to relieve the stress when going through hard times. People who don't think that there are programs out there to help them just need to really sit down with Pacific Debt and let them explain everything properly.

I'm with social security and I really got ahead of myself with the debit cards. At that time, I found out my husband has fourth stage colon cancer. So, he wasn't working and we could not get our bills paid. Also, the doctor said that he was gonna start chemo again. I had a couple of surgeries myself and so we're both stressing out. We lost a home in 2014 and the only one who was able to help us was my father-in-law. So we figured that contacting a debt relief company was the only way to go instead of going to bankruptcy. I wanted to try to do the right thing. I was willing to make the payments to take care of all these bills that I have in my credit cards.
I saw an advertisement on TV for another company. I went for it but I wasn't pleased and I got upset. So my husband googled Pacific Debt and he sought the reviews. I decided to go for it and I’ve been pleased with them. I was able to get a hold of a person that is in charge of my case. He explained whatever's going on. They're great. I'm very glad I got them and that I switched from the other one.
There wasn't much interaction with my credit advocate, just once a month. Sometimes they need to talk to me. They leave a text message or sometimes I miss their call. And then all of a sudden when I got Pacific Debt, they told me to cut every contact with them and they will be sending my statements and everything else. They said to just send it to Pacific Debt and try not to talk to them. So anything I got, I was just sending it to them. And from then on, they will just send it later in the day, forward it to another company and I will send that to Pacific Debt. There’s a certain amount that they take monthly. And I'm going to be done with the second bill that I had. I just have two more to pay off and so they keep in touch with me for a certain day it's gonna be done. I'm really pleased because they're really on top of everything.

Glenda, your hardship related to your husband's medical situation is very touching. From everyone at PDI, we wish him a speedy recovery and hope he is on the mend. With regards to your program, we sure are glad you made the switch. Our service is personal, because debt is personal. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything whatsoever.

I had a problem with a company that breached the contract and then after they did, they wanted to charge me more and more so I had to put a stop to it. I called Pacific Debt and then they started working. So far, they are very good. All their reps have knowledge, manners and they know what they're talking about. I'm able to get in touch with them anytime I want to. Even if I stop by their office, give them a call or send an email, every time is a fast response and I've never had a problem. They are still working on my debt so the job is not done yet, but I'm happy.

Thank you so much for your excellent review. We pride ourselves on keeping our clients up to date on their account progress, every step of the way. We are also happy to accommodate all modes of communication, email, text, on the phone or in person. Thanks again for your kind review and we will keep working for you until all of your debt settled.

I had so much credit cards and bills and it was overwhelming. So I looked online for help to get out of the debt and Pacific Debt came up. I had my daughter check them out through the Better Business Bureau and there were good reviews so we contacted them. They were very friendly and they explained everything to me where I was able to understand it myself. They even gave me time to decide and make my decision. We set a date together on when I would start the payment and everything worked out good. I also like the fact that they give you a personal coordinator. The person you're supposed to call and to get in touch with if you have any questions or any problems. My coordinator gets back to me in a timely manner. It's been tremendous and enlightening. Also, it's been a very relieving experience.

I have nothing but praises for Pacific Debt. They really handled a very difficult situation. I was bamboozled by somebody and lost a tremendous amount of money. He maxed out all my credit cards and I didn't know where to go or what to do. Pacific Debt helped me consolidate and downgraded three major credit cards. They were very gracious over the phone and made me feel that I was not at fault. They put everything in perspective and reassured me that things would work out. It gave me confidence again that I could take care of this. I was a single woman, a widow, and I had a dependent child. I'm a hard worker and somebody took advantage of me. So, to me, Pacific Debt was a lifesaver.
My interactions with their credit advocate was weekly in the beginning and there was a lot of communication. There were three major debts, one was a loan and two were credit cards so we took care of them one at a time. I mailed all my information to them and faxed it over, then she always kept abreast of everything so it was really good. I worked with one particular person and it's nice because it wasn't a different person every time I called and she gave me her number. I could always leave a message and she would call back. Pacific Debt was an honest and reasonable company, and it was something I could tangibly work with. I made a goal for myself and I felt the payback was something that I could handle. They really fought for me to try and lower the debts. I wasn't even aware that there were these kinds of companies out there until I was in desperate trouble. Pacific Debt gave me peace of mind and restored my confidence.

I was aggravated because my money was cut in half on my job, so I didn't have the money to pay off every loan. I looked up Pacific Debt's reviews on the internet and looked them up on the Better Business Bureau. They have pretty good reviews so I went with that. My case manager named, Kimberly, is doing a good job so far. She'll send me something in an email and if we can't get it resolved, she'll usually call me. She really knows what she's doing. I also have access to the account where my money goes every month. Anytime I wanna look at it, I can just type in the username and pass code and it'll come up. The amount drafted every month was a third of the amount I was paying for credit card bills alone, and that's more help. I have a four-year plan but I'm hoping to get it paid off early.

I was frustrated about my credit situation before I called Pacific Debt then I talked to them about what to do and whether I should do consolidation or something else. They're easy to get in touch with. I felt better after I spoke with them initially and signed up. The customer service people and my debt person were great. They explained everything and I knew what I was getting into going in. However now, in hindsight, I wish I wouldn't have done it. I could have avoided the damage to my credit if I would have just hung out a little longer and paid off the debt myself. In the moment, I wasn't able to. I felt like I was a little hasty in making my decision.
But from the financial perspective, they did exactly what they promised to do and were very professional. I even had a couple of debt collectors call me on some stuff and I told Pacific Debt to take care of it. They did and I stopped getting calls. So, they were great. They delivered exactly what they promised and I referred them to three different people.

Michael, thanks for the kind review and all of your referrals. Debt settlement certainly is an aggressive means to dealing with your debt and while it isn't for everyone - we do know it works and can put you in a better financial position once all of the debt is settled. Also, keep in mind that had you "hung on a little longer", you would have continued to pay compound interest - so there certainly are costs associated with paying it off yourself over time. Thanks again for the great review of our service, as well as your referrals. We do offer a client referral bonus of $100 for each referral (once 3 monthly payments are made), so if you have referred over a few customers, please send an email to customerservice@pacificdebt.com and we are happy to compensate you. Thanks again!

Pacific Debt is great. I was out of a job, my credit cards were getting stacked up, and my husband's another situation, so I had to act fast. I called and talked to them, and they were real nice. They contact the creditors, talk to them, and then come to an agreement. And when they come to an agreement, they let me know. They really work hard to get me out of debt, and have done quite a few settlements already. They email me about two or three times in a month, call me at least once a month, and if I need to talk to them, they send the phone number for me to call. The process is building up my credit. I had bad credit before and now my credit's pretty good. I will recommend them to anybody. Whatever question or concern I have, they're willing to answer and they make me feel good.

They answered everything that I could think of. Any time that they come up with a deal, they always email or call me. They inform me when one of my debts is paid off or if they find something else on my account that they would ask me if I wanted to add on. They have settled some stuff for me already and I caught up on a couple of withdrawals where I was behind. They let me know if something happens, and I also let them know on my end so they're aware of it and they can make arrangements.

My wife and I had been overseas for a couple of years. When we came back, we found things we had to deal with. So I looked online and Pacific Debt seemed to be the most together. I like their Better Business Bureau rating and the people I spoke with were by far the most articulate and organized. I have to say that I try to establish their superiority empirically, but it was mostly a feeling really of talking to people on the phone and believing them, trusting them. I'm very glad I did because they’ve been everything we could wish and more. It seems that they had different people doing different things at different times. Initially, there was a guy, and then it switched over to a woman, and then a second woman after that, but every one of them was right on the pen. If I send an email, I got an answer back within hours. And if they sent something and I responded, they told me that they’ve received it, that it was fine or that I need to do something else.
They were right on top of it. It was like I had my own credit agency down there in San Diego. So I was pleased that every one of them was prompt and thorough. We only have a few more months left in the program, so for the last couple of years, they’ve allowed my wife and I to get back on our feet and move back to the States and get in the grandparent business and get all of that sorted out. So, it's been therapeutic in a lot of ways, not just financially. One of our debts was trickier than the others that they needed some different legal authorization to negotiate. So it took an extra form and they explained why it had to be different and why it was important that we turn this thing around and we did within hours. After that, off they went. So, when they needed to self-correct something to adapt to the circumstances that had changed, they did so instantly and that, too, was very impressive. They’ve done a world of good for us.

They took care of contacting my creditors and working with them to get my payment down. Some have already been resolved while others are still ongoing and they let me know what's going on each step of the way. To be honest, the process has been very hard. That's quite a bit of money coming out of my bank account to pay for this even though I'm not paying the full amount to my creditors which is horrible in itself. I barely make ends meet, I live on my social security and that's my only earnings. On the whole, Pacific Debt has been a Godsend. I would definitely recommend this company.

I researched in the internet and found several companies that may help me with my financial needs. And that's where I did check reference. It wasn't an easy decision. Every company when they called me, there wasn't a pleasant conversation. But specifically, one made me more confident with Better Business Bureau. After this, I decided to call Pacific Debt and they were just excellent. I spoke to a lady who has enrolled me, then had a conversation with the management.
At first I was afraid to sign to this program because it's about money and debt. But they made me comfortable, listened to me, and understood my needs. I am really happy. So I signed into the program with a specific person who takes care of my needs. I can communicate with this person all the time like very personal. I sent all my statements to them and counted my chances to be settled with different companies and made ways to make how much I would pay monthly. They really care about their customers and I was surprised how good they were. We're already with the two settlements. I know as soon as they have more money in account we will settle two other credit cards. I will recommend them to friends if some would have the same situation.

I was searching for debt relief programs in the internet and Pacific Debt was the first one that came up. I looked it up on the Better Business Bureau and read a couple reviews. With any program like that, it's always hard to know if it's legit because there are a lot of scams out there that might be similar. But it seemed like it’s checked out and everybody had a really positive experience, so I decided to go with it. However, I wasn’t entirely sure what the plan was until I had invested a month into it. For the first month, it was a bit scary because I didn’t know what the goal was and how it was all going to go down. But after that, it was explained really well and everything made sense. In fact, I'm in the clear by the end of summer.
It was definitely a better alternative because rather than declaring bankruptcy, which was my only other real alternative, it gave me a way to do things and still stay floating. There is still a certain amount that I'm paying per month that if I weren’t employed would be pretty difficult, but we're making it work. The peace of mind has been huge. They have taken care of and explained everything really well.

The Pacific Debt ratings were very good. Also, they seem to pay more attention compared to the other companies that I contacted who were pushy but weren't really interested. Pacific Debt got all the information about my income, expenses and my credit card bills, and they set it up for payments over time in amounts that will be covered by my escrow account over a period of however many months it might be. This has been ongoing, and so I have been dealing with their credit advocate as often as I need to. They're very friendly and I was really surprised at their personal attention and interest. They definitely care about people. It's such a relief to feel that things are being managed because it was definitely unmanageable by the time my boyfriend left. I would recommend them to anybody.

Sharon, thank you so much for your great 5 star review. You touched on a couple of issues that make me very proud to be a Pacific Debt team member.
1) We take the time to build a plan around your budget. This isn't a "one size fit's all" type of program.2) Our staff members offer "personal attention" and "care about people". Like most businesses, this is a business of relationships. We work hard to build strong relationships with our clients and in turn build trust with our clients.

I was satisfied and went for it. Since 2015 and up to 2017, everything went smoothly. I felt that I have peace of mind and I didn't have to write a lot of checks I didn't have. I dealt with them online and they kept their word. This was one of the reasons I love Pacific Debt.
Every time the manager made a settlement, he calls me to verify everything. Also, I call them from time to time and they gave me a good answer. I'm still paying for the monthly just like that but I trust them and I go forward. It's also much easier and less stressful. I communicate with her by email quite often and she answers quite quickly and thoroughly. She tries to help people unlike most people who discourage you at times. So far, Pacific Debt has been able to solve three of our credit issues for substantially less for what we owe and it’s been nice just to be able to deflect the calls. It’s been a great experience with them so far.

I was overwhelmed financially so I was gonna see about getting a loan and Pacific Debt popped up on my computer screen. I started looking at their rating and if they were a reliable company. I called them and they were able to explain the program very well. That helped because when it gets down to all the contracts and the paperwork, it helps for someone that is knowledgeable to go over all that with the customers which they did very well. I was massively in debt, more than what I realized, so it's better because of Pacific Debt. I was on the verge of bankruptcy and they've been my rescue. They took a lot off my shoulders. I have never done this before and I've never been this much in debt either. It was scary going in because I didn't know what I was getting into until talking with the initial person and them explaining what would happen and how they do it, step by step, and then telling me who my case worker was gonna be.
I was assigned to a case manager who kept me abreast as far as payments or settlements. They have paid off or we've cleared two or three. She has always been available to me and I can call her anytime. We're a bit close and had more phone calls because I needed to know or she had a question for me. When we changed something or had to add something, it worked. Shawna usually sends me a report every six months as far as what I still owe and what companies we've paid off, but she can send me a whole sheet grid anytime I ask for it. There was one time a year ago that I called and she wasn't in, so I left a message. I didn't realize that she may have said in the recording that she'd be out for several days. But her boss called me back and helped me with the issue that I had so I wasn't left hanging with my issue.
I sent in all my statements, then they helped me know which ones to pay off first and which ones that they can make a settlement with the company. They have their formula and they know which ones to pay off better. They know which one worked with the debtor that are willing to knock off all the interest. They know from their experiences. They know which companies are willing to work and make adjustments and help. I'm sure that if someone owed me money, I would rather get a percentage of it and know I was getting a percentage than know that I won't get anything otherwise. They know the credit card companies that they're dealing with.

And whenever I call her and leave a message, she's very prompt in calling me back. At the time, one of my accounts was under a civil suit, and she was able to negotiate with them where I settled out of court and gave me a good deal with them. I was going through a crisis with funds and I didn't know what to do. It was getting to the point that I could not pay my debt and I was at a crossroads where I was going to have to file bankruptcy. I was going online and getting ready to call and talk to an attorney to find out how to file bankruptcy. That's how desperate I was but it was like my prayers were heard without asking. I got an email from Pacific Debt. It was really a nice email and I thought it's just some fraud company trying to rip me off so, I ignored and dumped it. Then, about two weeks later, I got another email from them, but from a different gentleman who laid out, in detail, how to reduce my debt, how to get out of debt and I was really impressed. It was the most impressive email I've ever gotten and it didn't read as a scam. So, I went online to Better Business Bureau and a couple of other sites, checked them out and read the reviews on them.
Then, I called them, talked to the gentleman and we discussed my financial situation. I followed through all the proper documents that was sent to me and that's how I got started. Then, I got my own personal agent who went through everything in detail with me. I love Shannon, my adviser. She keeps in touch with me and lets me know how things are going. I could not be more impressed. The hardest part was the first three months because I was not allowed to answer the phone calls or emails and at the same time, they made sure that I contact them every time I got a call or send them a copy of the letter that I got from the creditors. But I kept saying that things are gonna be fine.
Also, I'm able to pay the amount that's easy for me. Then, when my pay period date changed, I made a phone call and they asked the best date that works for me and told me that if I need to change it again, give them a call and they'll do that. I also like the fact that every month, they send me an email so I can see how my debt is getting down, more and more. I didn't think I'd ever get to this point. Now, I get letters from the creditors saying they've received my payment and things are moving on very well. It'll be 18 months of being with Pacific Debt in September and I'll be out of debt by then. Originally, it was gonna be 22 months, but because I increased the amount, it became shorter and I could not be happier.
Now that I've been putting that money away out of sight and out of mind, I'm gonna keep doing that into an account. So that I can save in case the world drops out on me again. I've also sent the same email I got from the gentleman, Jeff, to every friend of mine that's having debt problems. I want everyone to be happy like me and see a light in the tunnel.
