I was satisfied with Springleaf at the time I do business with them by taking a loan and solved my problem then paid them back.

I wasn't aware of the options of not having insurance, felt it was part of loan approval. Heather did a wonderful job and was very professional. I may have misunderstood the terms of the insurance issue, I'll take that responsibility.

I've rarely had anything but great experiences with Springleaf in over 20 years of doing business with them.

We applied 7 days ago for debt consolidation. The hard pulls are on our credit reports. It says they will contact us in 1 business day, but we have yet to receive any phone calls from the Enid branch. Even if it's to say "no", that's better than just being ignored! Unprofessional. Now we have Inquiries for nothing. Thanks Springleaf.

The customer service is wonderful and you can really tell that they want to help out anyone who comes in to the store any way they can to make sure they get approved for a loan. Ask for Jessica. She is so helpful. Everyone is very friendly there. If you have your paperwork (bills, check stubs, etc.) you can be in and out of there in 30 minutes. The only thing is the high interest rates. I think it should be lowered if you have many loans with them and no red flags over the past 3-5 years. I realize it's based on previous credit but after having so many loans and never had a red flag you should be credited a little for that effort. That is why I get the loans to improve my credit.

Whenever I'm in need of a loan I give the local office a call. Most of the time I hear back by the next day. They're always friendly and willing to help. I obtained a loan through Springleaf in 2013. I was stupid and had obtained payday loans that were catching up with me. Springleaf was there when I needed them, and they have always been there when I needed them. Pam and Belinda in the State College office are especially consumer-oriented, and if I need to borrow in the future, I would call Springleaf again.

At this point I'm not sure who to be upset with, Credit Karma or Springleaf. Like others I was turned down by Lending Club, then they suggested SpringLeaf. Who per Credit Karma I had a "good chance" of being approved. Guess what.. I wasn't, unless I used my vehicle as collateral (I have no late payments on any of my accounts). Since I declined the lady suggested I try another company (are they all in this together). I did and of course they ran my credit report AGAIN (even though she said they'd call her and not to worry). Declined! So now thanks to good ole Credit Karma and SpringLeaf I have no chance of getting a loan since my credit report has been run so many times!!

The only thing I was disappointed in was I wanted to write checks out on our own checks and when we changed something I don't remember it raised the rate.

I had been switching money back and forth between my two banks and didn't realize my ACH(s) would take so much out of my account. Became overdrawn about $650 and the month wasn't even half over. I panicked because I knew I'd get eaten up in penalty fees. Increased health problems combined with a 2008 failed economy made it necessary to sell my home and other assets and required that I draw upon my money market accounts and other savings to pay monthly bills. I cut every corner I could think of. My clothes were from friends and Goodwill. I signed on with SDGE which reported my expenditures and helped me control use of electricity. TWC worked with me as a special needs customer. When finally I needed glasses and dental work I took advantage of a cash back and rewards promotion and obtained a credit card from Chase Bank. I accomplished a balance transfer to pay off State Farm Visa in amount of $1,000. I very quickly returned to using that visa for necessities. I decided this year that with an approaching rent increase I could no longer afford to stay in the apartment I have enjoyed for four years.
