Springleaf is a great place to apply for a loan.

Perfect place to try and acquire a loan with less than perfect credit. The staff treats you with the utmost respect. And the money can be transferred into your bank account the next business day!

The customer service is wonderful and you can really tell that they want to help out anyone who comes in to the store any way they can to make sure they get approved for a loan. Ask for Jessica. She is so helpful. Everyone is very friendly there. If you have your paperwork (bills, check stubs, etc.) you can be in and out of there in 30 minutes. The only thing is the high interest rates. I think it should be lowered if you have many loans with them and no red flags over the past 3-5 years. I realize it's based on previous credit but after having so many loans and never had a red flag you should be credited a little for that effort. That is why I get the loans to improve my credit.

Whenever I'm in need of a loan I give the local office a call. Most of the time I hear back by the next day. They're always friendly and willing to help. I went in for a Christmas loan and they had cakes and cookies waiting for us and wished us a Merry Christmas. So if you are someone you know needs a loan send them to Springleaf. Springleaf was there when I needed them, and they have always been there when I needed them. Pam and Belinda in the State College office are especially consumer-oriented, and if I need to borrow in the future, I would call Springleaf again.

At this point I'm not sure who to be upset with, Credit Karma or Springleaf. Like others I was turned down by Lending Club, then they suggested SpringLeaf. Who per Credit Karma I had a "good chance" of being approved. Guess what.. I wasn't, unless I used my vehicle as collateral (I have no late payments on any of my accounts). Since I declined the lady suggested I try another company (are they all in this together). I did and of course they ran my credit report AGAIN (even though she said they'd call her and not to worry). Declined! So now thanks to good ole Credit Karma and SpringLeaf I have no chance of getting a loan since my credit report has been run so many times!!

The only thing I was disappointed in was I wanted to write checks out on our own checks and when we changed something I don't remember it raised the rate.

I had been switching money back and forth between my two banks and didn't realize my ACH(s) would take so much out of my account. Became overdrawn about $650 and the month wasn't even half over. I panicked because I knew I'd get eaten up in penalty fees.
