Springleaf Financial breaks many federal laws. My loan I had with them when I was with my wife 1 1/2. Me and wife divorced and they took it upon themself to relieve her of the debt without my consent. The judge ordered all debts be split, they failed to comply with court orders. So happy that Springleaf broke the federal law and didn't follow court orders. I had these scam artists investigated and they are well engaged in deceptive business practices. They falsified Consumer Reports and lie to their clients about your credit scoring credit practices. We have found in our investigation that deceptive practices has created over 120,000 people to poverty. So in the end they may have destroyed my life, but I made it my life's mission to report Springleaf and drag them in to poverty like they drove me. So if Springleaf wants to break the law and get away with it, then perhaps prison sentence is what these scam artists need.

Very good, had no problem, the girls in the office were very nice. I was in and out in less than an hour. I don't know anything else to tell you except that the Killeen, Texas office is great.

What a scam this place is. I have a 645 FICO and bought a house for $200,000 last year. I have not made 1 late payment in last 6 years - but because I had a foreclosure 7 years ago Springleaf will not give me a $5200 loan at 26% interest. REALLY - If I had a 700 FICO score and PERFECT credit for my lifetime WHY WOULD I PAY 26% INTEREST TO SPRINGLEAF! What a joke of a place of business.

I have a 633 credit score… They want to borrow me 4700 bucks. The time it's paid off it would cost me around 8100 bucks. LMAO. Ok, go to a pawnshop if you need money!

After reading the reviews, I called the office and asked what credit score was needed to qualify for a loan. The representative stated that, "we don't look at credit, we look at payment history for 2 years". I thought OK, If not that's all surely I qualify. But I was surely turned down. I have been reading about all these poor credit scores who received all this help. Maybe it's because I am single. I know that I am not the only one who has been turned down because if I am, I did something wrong. Can anybody explain it to me? Even the person who recommended them to me was surprised. Something is strange about these reviews.

I applied online, and on the next business a representative from local office called. I thought I received a $5000 loan as claimed, but not until i came home and read the paper. I found my loan was actually a $5,700.00 loan at 32.15% for 48 months - $212.47 per month, extra $700 added to pay the insurances I was not aware of. The rep never showed me the original loan amount $5700 but just showed $5001 the amount after insurance fees deducted! She appeared deceptive when she talked about the insurance services coverage as if they are covered by your company without mentioning they are voluntary insurances that I can accept or decline, so i was totally unaware that I signed to pay insurance fees deducted from the total loan amount!!!! The rep told me her manager who held the checks was gonna leave early so she went over the contract very quickly (14 legal pages front and back) that I was unable to read the entire contract but only some parts she chose to show. And she never showed me the original loan amount is $5700 but just showed $5001, the total amount of multiple checks they issue for my credit card companies and me after insurance fees deducted!

She was very friendly, explained the process completely, and it was a very satisfying procedure. I received my check within two days and we went over the contract completely. I started this loan process over two months ago with my local bank. Trying to refinance under the HARP program. However, my 2nd mortgage holder decided to play hard ball and the refinancing for my 1st mortgage fell through. Hard pull on credit report.

Coming off an unpaid maternity leave was difficult. The staff at Springleaf Financial heard and understood my circumstances. I got the money I needed to catch up and I have an easy low monthly payment. I would recommend them.

I keep getting annoying solicitation letters from this company for over a year, when I have repeatedly by phone and mail, have requested that they stop sending them to me. The manager ** located at 4750 w. Fullerton Ave Chicago, IL. is always "at lunch" no matter what time of day I call and never calls me back. Now because I see that they do not care at all about this and this is now harassment for me and I believe they are breaking a federal law, it has totally destroyed any business relationship I had with them and I am telling all my friends and relatives not to conduct business with Springleaf as well. Just disgusted! I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I am currently researching on what legal action I can take.

We have poor credit and Springleaf did a wonderful job to get us a small consolidation loan so that we could pay off high interest loans to one that we can pay in 4 years.

The interest rate is high but I got the loan I requested. Everything was done over the phone. Took less than 3 hours to get approval.

The staff was excellent. They were very nice and I felt at ease in the office. The process took 2 days only because I couldn't get back to the office otherwise it would have taken just one day. That was so fast and easy.

The smile that the ladies gave me was a friendly and warm not like the rest that gave the look like here so come to beg for money and been a black single lady it’s hard to get a loan. But the ladies made me feel like I was family and smile all through the hold thing. So thanks for a great staff.

After attempting to start our furnace, we ended up calling our HVAC guy. He deemed the furnace junk. It was 25 years old, and served us well all those years. So, we needed a new one. Now, we had the $2600 in savings, but that's all. We didn't want to be left high and dry with winter just around the corner. So, he recommended a loan company called Springleaf. Since they are located just down the road from us, we went there about 2:00 on a Friday afternoon. After filling out the necessary info on the computer, we were told it was no problem. We came back on Monday afternoon for the check. It was a simple process. Now we will be warm this winter - thanks to Springleaf. Thank you!!

The interest rate was very high and it seemed that this wasn't something that was on the forefront of discussion. Essentially I will be paying double the amount that I borrowed in the end. But, the overall customer service was good and I was able to pay off some bills and that was my goal.

The people were excellent in how they went about setting up a budget scenario that would benefit me in getting the loan and followed thru with its implementation. I was in a bit of a pickle and needed to get a loan to fix my car. My problem is that my bank wasn't going to give me one so I was in a bit of a pinch. So I found the site google and applied thinking that it'd be a shot in the dark. Within 30 minutes I had a loan representative calling me to discuss the loan. After talking to the loan agent I was approved and I needed to submit my info. So I scanned all the needed documents and we were able to get the loan finalized that day. From there it took 2 business days for the funds to be deposited into my bank account and I was able to get my car fixed. Another thing that I like is that they'll setup direct deposit for the payment. So no worries about dealing with a website, the funds get deducted every month on the day I setup. The service was friendly, professional, and quick.

I contacted them as requested and we went over the application again... after I inputted the information already. I explained our income, which is not out of the ordinary. The rep I spoke with was very nice, although I could tell she was young and didn't understand what she was doing with lending money and how to explain their policies. The rates offered were MUCH worse than any credit card rate (the mafia offered better rates and terms) and this was not disclosed up front as I would have not continued with the application. Also, there were no guidelines shown in their upfront disclosures that spelled out that their max loan amount was a terribly small amount that was WAY below my loan amount requested. All-in-all, a terrible lack of disclosing loan amount regulations and rate information led me to an application and credit report inquiry that did not need to be done if I knew the pertinent information upfront.

I was very pleased with the service and professionalism that was shown to me at Springleaf. They helped with all of my needs and answered all of my questions. I will continue to do business with them in the future.

I've been receiving mail that I have been pre-qualified for a loan through Springleaf. I went through the process twice with applying for a loan online both times saying I was approved for a certain credit line and to call the Springleaf office. When I call they tell me I wasn't approved. This is false advertising and misleading information which doesn't make the company very creditable.

Obtaining a loan from Springleaf was very easy. I provided the required documentation and was given an approved loan amount. They were able to give me a ball park on payment amounts for different loan amounts. We were also given information about ways we could improve our credit score. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be using them again and they are highly recommended!

Dealing with Springleaf was a pleasure. I work for another lending company, but we are not allowed to do loans with our own company, so I was forced to look elsewhere when I needed some extra cash to consolidate some bills. I actually tried to get a loan through a bank, but I was denied, so Springleaf was my last hope. I went online and applied and within a few minutes, I had an approval telling me to call my local branch to make an appointment to come in and what all to bring with me when I came. I called the branch the next day from work and dealt with the Manager Rose. She was very pleasant and helpful. Since I was at work, I was able to fax over some of my paperwork and she was able to get a head start on the loan before I was able to make it there after work.

I went to get a personal loan. I am a spouse of an active duty. My car loan was taken from me as a collateral without my consent, my car title does not even match my registration. The company is giving me the run around. I have $168.00 a month in interest and my principal is only $35.00. So no, they are not sweet. These people are thieves that lurk on the street looking for desperate people and they latch their teeth into them. So take a good look of what they are doing to people. I have done all I can. Now I am contacting the state general's office.

We wanted a small loan but was suggested a little more to consolidate some bills of which we did not think of but definitely decided to do. From our time there twice before, they should know our preference of not opting for the insurance or other extras and going through the whole application process when we are returning customers. I walked in needing some money and I walked out with a check in hand in less than an hour. I don’t have the best credit (upper 500’s) due to mostly a lot of medical expenses. I was wanting part of my loan to go directly to pay my credit card. Springleaf made a separate check that they mailed directly to the credit card company for me and they let me keep the rest for myself in another check. I was slightly annoyed that it took around two days for Springleaf’s check to clear after depositing it into my checking account. I’m also slightly annoyed that it’s been seven days now since they mailed the check to the credit card company and it still hasn't shown up on my online statement yet. Not sure who is really to blame for either situation but it is and was a pain nonetheless. Other than that it was pretty easy.

I was very pleased with my negotiations with Springleaf, it took very little time out of my day. They told me what to bring and prepare for, I signed the papers and it was done.

Borrowed $500.00 on present loan, took balance and added it to $500.00 new loan. Have very good standing on loan and I am being charged $1500.00 above the $500.00 loan. Being charged $1500.00 interest on a $500.00 loan. That is far higher than interest on original loan. Combining the two loans will cost me $1500.00. Highly unacceptable. I will be contacting Better Business Bureau to see if this even legal.

I highly recommend Carrie and the team in Longmont. They are good people with 'big city know how' who are helping our small town community grow. I will choose them for a loan every time over choosing a bank. Nothing beats the personal touch and genuine smiles every time I walk in the door. :)
