Everything went really well. The Appraisal wasn't what I thought it should be, but I assume it was fair. Matt ** was very help throughout the entire process. There is one hing I would add and that is setting up the auto payment. That would be very helpful. Thank You!

I spoke to a loan officer named Cody whom processed my loan application. After reviewing my excellent credit he had the audacity to quote me a high rate charging me 2 points on the back of the loan and an origination fee which all the fees totaled up to $20,000.00. I asked him why would he think that I would agree for them to take $20,000.00 of my equity in my home. I am a disabled veteran and served my country for 22 years. I also did my research about this company and found out that they lost their license to do VA loans. I am very disgusted with this company and how they are ripping off Veterans. Some action needs to take place to put them out of business.

Our refinance with New Day went very well. Our account agent William ** was prompt, helpful, and knowledgeable. The process is very streamlined with the ability to e-sign documents up until the closing. Overall I’m satisfied with my experience and would recommend New Day to anyone who was looking to refinance their home into a VA loan.

My experience with NewDay has been great. As a prior Mortgage Broker, I did have some misgivings about dealing with a lender I did not know, however, Matt ** was very helpful and my husband and I would recommend NewDay to any Veteran. Matt kept us informed the entire process and it went very smooth.

Great experience. Mr. Teddy ** did a great job of keeping my loan moving. Mine is an unusual situation since I am self-employed with rental income making up the bulk of my income. Verification of rental income seems to be a difficult chore for most banking companies but Teddy stuck with it and got it done. Very happy with the outcome.

Home refi - Overall a good experience. Found Joe to be very respectful, polite, and experienced. Very prompt in returning calls. I was pleasantly surprise in the whole process. I would recommend you for sure.

This company does not deliver on what they promise. They take months to close a loan, when they promised 30 days. Once closed the customer service department has nice people but it’s inefficient. It’s like talking to robots. You can’t get answers to anything. They try to pull every trick they can to charge you fees if possible. We had a hail claim and the insurance company sent a large check to them, in turn they had to endorse it and send it back to us. It took MONTHS! This happened every time! Our contractors had to wait for months to be paid, outrageous. We are considering a refi to get away from them. They claim to take care of our military, it’s a scam and a joke.

I was pleasantly pleased with the efficiency and speed of your loan process, as well as the people who interacted with me. Kudos to Alec **. I am still waiting to see how the payoff of some of my prior bills goes but I am confident it will go off without a hitch. Overall great experience. Thanks.

We are thrilled with our experience with NewDay USA. The refinancing process was made so easy, they did almost all of the work and guided us through what was expected of us. I wanted to take a minute to express the gratitude I have for NewDay with getting my VA loan. I have been struggling for a couple of years with debt, refinanced my house a couple of times after making improvements, however, I could just never get over the top of the problem. I would seem like I would refinance, get close to getting out of it, but there were always a couple of bills that would keep pushing me back down. I have had some great experiences in the 10 years I've been in the military, great training, new places, however, all of this usually meant time away from my family. I was blessed with the opportunity to take them to Virginia with me for a few months while I was on training and that was an experience they will never forget, however, on the way home, we experienced a few more costs than we were planning for which I had to put on a credit card.

I had received a call from Erin ** with NewDay USA Mortgage. After giving me the great car salesman pitch of this Mortgage company doing everything it can for Veterans and providing the best service for Veterans. I asked what is the minimum credit FICO requirement for a VA loan. I was told that they have been known to approve veterans at a 589 to 590 FICO score. So I proceeded to do the application. Have been getting the NewDay USA correspondence and finally went online to sign up and see about a refinance to a lower rate and a 15 year term. Before I could complete the online information there was some guy calling and then asking me all the questions. I really did not have the time for him, but he was pushy. We went through all the information and then he is telling me that I don't qualify because of my credit rating- which he is quoting 70 points lower than the FICO scores of the three credit bureau reports I am then looking at on my computer screen.

After applying for a cash out loan and receiving documents to sign I was shocked with the closing costs. 260,000 dollar 30 year fixed loan. My closing cost less cash out would be over 18,000 dollars. Vets beware of the tv ads. I have owned over 25 homes in my 70 years. Not my first rodeo. A Navy veteran from the Vietnam era. Please, please buyer beware.

So me and my grandfather owned a home. I was on the loan everywhere and was the trust on this Mortgage we already had through our bank. So my grandpa sees this commercial on T.V. It was way too good to be true I thought. So he called and started talking to these guys and I had messed up my credit pretty good so we were scared bank would make me sell as is when he died. When he talked to Andrew he tells him, "O yes we can do that to where we make up a quick deed so you can give it to him when you pass away sir." My grandad did all things you have to remortgage a home termite fix stuff get appraisal. So who comes to our house to show us where to sign and tell us what we are signing? IT'S ANDREW. He lied straight to my face and told me we were signing a document for when he passes it goes to me. I asked him cause it look funny. He said, "This is what that is for sir."

My wife and I were pleased with the quick and professional manner in which our loan was taken care of. Branden was a very big help in answering all of our questions. The only thing we had a problem with was the Mine Subsidence Insurance. We didn't see a need for this as we have lived on this property for 40 years with no problems ever.

My account manager, John **, was reliable and professional. I'm 67 years old and have obtained seven mortgages in my life. This was process was stress free. Mr. ** explained every step and why different paperwork was needed. He was almost always available when I called and when he wasn't, he got back to me very quickly. From the time I called NewDay, and discussed the Refinance of my mortgage with William to the time I closed on the loan, I was so impressed with the professionalism of New Day. I am a disabled Veteran 100% with PTSD. I have had a difficult past. I purchased a home for 36k, owner financed as I have never been able to qualify for the 100% VA mortgage as I don't have good credit because of my past. I paid off the mortgage on my house and own it free and clear. I called NewDay USA for a refinance, and or loan to pay off $15,000 in debt I have on my credit report. I was told I could not do that as VA guidelines state that VA cannot finance loans for houses that are owned free and clear, even though NewDay states in their ads on TV, that if "YOU OWN YOUR HOME AND NEED CASH" NewDay is there for you to pay off credit cards, debts, etc. False advertising.

The process was easy thanks to our agent, Brian **. He walked us through all the steps and made the whole thing pretty simple. I would recommend this company to a friend. We were surprised at how fast the loan went after all the paperwork was completed. We now have the funds to do some much needed repairs around the house and will still have money to take a vacation this summer in the RV.

In all of my years working with Insurance salesmen, Brokers, Used-car salespeople, Realtors, etc., I have never experienced the ineptitude and incompetence that we experienced working with NewDay Account Managers. Everything went fine. Interest rate was a bit higher than I found at other mortgage companies, but NewDay offered a free home appraisal so it worked out. There were some misplaced papers at closing but it didn't delay closing, agent was able track them down and we closed on time.

The Assistant Vice President - Loan Origination, - Sean ** was very helpful throughout the whole process. Mr. ** was courteous and quick to answer questions, helpful with all the needed paperwork. I didn't think it would take quite as long as it did to close the loan, but I didn't realize all the paperwork that would be necessary. Both the appraiser and the gentleman who came to close the loan were fine.

I refinanced my home after first intending to refinance with money from the process to pay down bills. When the appraisal came in too low for that I was offered the option to simply refinance the cost of the home, which I did. This ended up giving me a savings of over $1000 a month due to a lower rate and a lower mortgage amount. My account manager was Nicholas **. He was extremely helpful in the process by promptly responding to my questions and to any problems that arose. One thing that I would have found to have been very helpful would have been to have someone contact me after I received the preliminary closing documents to explain questions I had and to make sure I understood all of them. Generally it was a good experience.

I was led to believe that your organization was dedicated to helping, no relieving the veteran from financial pressures. I am a US Marine veteran 72 years of age still dealing with a war that we could never win or it seem not supposed to win. But at any rate your representative Tony ** did an excellent job selling your position of helping veterans and I have read your core principles that doesn't meet my experience. It was almost a done when the package was rejected because my home didn't qualify as it was a manufactured home, nobody asked up front and should have before I got my hopes up for help. My home is insured under a standard Homeowners setting on a foundation of block all new replacement windows and with a new gable roof. I can't begin to tell you how betrayed I felt. Please understand I cannot or will I endorse your company to any of my brother vets, and I have many.

Delay in rate lock cost us money. Plus on the original start of refinancing hardly any communication with female loan officer. She acted like she could care less and always GAVE excuses for lack of communication. For people who advertise they care about veterans MAYBE if the loan officers WERE veterans and know what it is like to be SCREWED then they might act like they care.

Overall a good experience. Appreciated the ease of electronic document signing. Would have preferred to be able to lock rate sooner. Agent was well informed and explained process well. Timeline for closing was expedient with no hiccups in the process. Would recommend NewDay to a friend. Would say the whole experience was pretty stress free, so I am very satisfied with that.

I started the process in Early Dec 2017 and completed the process in late Jan 2018. It took a bit longer to get the process done than usual, but found that it was well worth the wait. I was able to pay off some bill's and lowered my rate, and got some cash back to put in savings. Since completing our refinance with NewDay we have been swamped with insurance proposals and advertising. If I would have known that NewDay was going to give our info to all these insurance companies I would have never done business with you in the first place. I was encouraged by several people including my realtor not to use one of the national lending agencies like NewDay because it never goes smoothly. After our closing, my realtor apologized and said she has never seen a loan process go as well as mine did. NewDay was excellent to work with. My initial experience with NewDay was in a word, horrible. This was entirely due to Tyler **. Not only did he not return my calls, but eventually very dryly just told me there was nothing NewDay could do regarding my loan application; I hung up. NewDay did not meet the timeframes that was given to me which I incurred late fees on items that were included in the refinance. We were told Jan and Feb mortgage wouldn't have to be paid then last min we had to come up with Jan mortgage or couldn't close on the loan. There was a disconnect between the processor and the underwriter related to “required” documentation. Specifically, the underwriter was checking us out for money laundering!!! Wanting to track where source some deposits came from one as little as $900.00! We were frustrated because the processor didn’t know what was required from the underwriter.

I was in the process of closing on a refinance loan with Chase, who had offered me much less than 100%, when my wife saw a commercial about NewDay. On the Chase closing date I phoned NewDay. The loan process with NewDay was much less time consuming and less 'painful' than dealing with Chase. I got the cash I wanted for needed maintenance on my cabin plus some improvements we'd wanted for some years. In addition, I was able to pay the balances of some credit card balances which, along with the smaller payment gave me more disposable income. I appreciated the diligence and professionalism of my loan representative (Joseph) and his team. We encountered a unique challenge with another bank's recording the second mortgage incorrectly in my city. NewDay staff work for weeks until they got the other bank to resolve the issue. NewDay called me often to keep me informed. The staff worked hard, really hard. I highly recommend NewDay to all veterans.

While we are appreciative of the improved financial standing we are now in due to the refinance, the entire process was lengthy (90 Days!!) and laborious. In the end, we felt we had to include debt we did not want included to prevent the process from starting over. Additionally, I discovered just this week when making our first payment, that NewDay is not equipped to handle electronic payments. What a disappointment in this age of technology!!

The NewDay commercials were inviting and appealing as a spokesperson who claims to be a veteran to help other veterans get into a home. False, I called and was turned down due to not perfect credit. I then called a Texas local mortgage person who got me a VA loan approved that same day and am now in my home. The NewDay USA company wanted me to go on one of their programs to assist bringing up my credit score when in fact it did not have to be raised. I was able to get a VA loan for 100% of my home loan through a local mortgage broker. You would think by the NewDay commercials that they are experts and really want to help, I am disgusted watching their ad now. They are no friend to veterans, unless you have perfect credit I guess.

They use a bait and switch method for FHA & VA home loans. None of these people are veterans, I wonder if Thomas Lynch is actually a veteran. They say they are your personal loan officer, but in fact they never communicate on the status of the loan process. They quote you one number at the beginning and then up the costs of the loan when you have completed everything they want. They are all about the profit, not about seniors or veterans. Brothers, beware.

Beware of dealing with this opportunist fraud organization. The difference between their loan and the identical Federal Credit Union was more than 1% higher rates after. 2 point buy down, more than $10000 additional charges in closing costs, $300 a month higher monthly mortgage payment all the while settling a cash payout on a refinance of $25000 less than the Credit Union. Their process was slow, paper intense and I spent more time working for them than they did for me. I highly recommend Veterans to RUN!!

I had an amazing refinance experience with NewDay! I was able to close in about a month, was well informed throughout the process, and had a great loan officer who got the job done. I would highly recommend NewDay to others. They are a mortgage company so they do have requirements but that's expected, you still have to qualify. But, they accept scores lower than most lenders and work with veterans. I'd use them again!

I wanted to get a home equity cash out on my house. I too fell for their TV ads and (after 20 letters in the mail in 3 months) I decided to give them a try. First, instead of giving me cash out, they want to pay off most of my debts. What that means is that debts that I have now for 1 to 3 years remaining are now going to take 30 years to pay off instead. The next problem is with the appraisal. I bought my house 5 years ago for $178,000. Their appraiser appraised the value of my house based on 3 other houses, but not mine. I looked up the other 3 houses on Zillow.com and the appraisal was 4 to 5 thousand less than their actual value. (2 of the 3 were actually sold in the past 3 months so the values shown on Zillow were accurate.)

If you're a Vietnam vet that exists on $1800 retirement NET and $1300 SS NET per month, don't bother with these jerks. They told me I had to have $2200.oo per month disposable income after all utilities/home insurance/car insurance/etc. There is no way we'll ever be able to qualify. The Admiral is a liar, and they only want to give loans to a higher middle class. Waste of my breath and time on the phone.

First, a letter comes in the mail, unsolicited, address to my spouse and stating that as a Veteran she is pre-qualified to 100% refinance our home. What a load of BS. She never served. Second, I tried to check their interest rate but that depends on the results of a credit check. Another load of BS. Third, I have a 20 year mortgage and they want to write a 30 year mortgage to get the monthly payment below $700. If this isn't enough to convince to not do business with NewDay Veterans USA then you should keep reading the negative reviews.

Wow, NewDay USA is so great. As a veteran, I only had to call customer service 1 time due to my own error. I accidentally clicked on "submit payment" twice. They told me to just skip a payment the next month.

Such a great company with such a great purpose. Helping veterans is so admirable and this company strives to go above and beyond for each and every vet. A lot of people wrote poor reviews and I’m wondering if we are even reviewing the same company because in my experience it is nothing less than 5 stars. Of course they can’t help everyone and just because you are a vet doesn’t mean you are entitled to a loan. I’m glad you served but your credit score is 500 how do you honestly expect to get a loan? But I digress. All in all great company!

I was in the mortgage business for years so have experience with fees and charges. I didn't follow through with using this company because their fees were outrageous. They were charging a higher interest rate and fees in excess of 10,000 of who I ended up going through. This company is taking advantage of veterans and stay away from them.

NewDay USA is a scam to try hitting vets when they're down. Unfortunately, at the time I applied, I was not... Lewis ** on August 2 lied about my FICO Score being below 740 and said it was the only way. I have a 748 mid score. Tried to raise my 3.5% loan to a 3.75% with a buy down of $3k for a 1/2 point. WHAT??? They're a scam. I called Mr. ** on the line and he says, "they vary." I said, "Yes they do but mortgage companies use the mid score, otherwise my high is 772." They also pay the $400 for your appraisal, (but charge all closing costs. Amerisave gave me a no fee loan, just paid appraisal, way more money in my bank.)

I applied for a VA refinance and a representative named Joe called me, I asked about doing a refinance and he was talking about a cashout, I told him I wanted a refinance. He asked and received more than enough information to determine if I qualified. He said he had to run a credit report on me and then said while I was ok in that area but they could not do the mortgage because of my income. That made no sense to me as he had this information in advance and should not have had to run a credit report to determine that. This ended up with me taking a hit on my credit for no reason whatsoever. I do not want to take any action against them but my advice is to stay away from this company.
