We love Andrew, our rep with New American Funding. He's been fantastic. There was no hiccup at all in the process. It was pleasant compared to years ago when I had gone through a different company with VA for a VA home loan. The rate with New American Funding was very high but I don't think we would have done any better anywhere else. We checked with Andrew six weeks ago. He gave us a call back and told us that the rates have not changed at all. I was impressed because he was in the middle of a move himself. My only frustration was I had an outstanding debt with DFS, but I had paid it off. The day before we were getting ready to close, I called Andrew and told him I got a copy of the letter. He said that was all they needed. But there was a lawyer we dealt with who said we gotta pay it again. I went ahead and paid it again but never got that money back. I'm still fighting for it.

Robby and Jordyn were amazing in the whole process. I had a very complicated case from the jump and they were amazing- I would highly recommend this company, Robby and team to anyone. Always did give good advice and looking out for my best interest. We had to delay closing for an extra week and their patience and coaching got it all done in a timely fashion.

We went with an FHA mortgage. I submitted everything to New American Funding, and it went to underwriting. I was able to convert all my important documents to PDF files and made it easy. I was at work at the time when I did most of it. I was on my lunch break or, "Sorry, guys. I gotta go take care of this real quick." But it wasn't as complicated as I thought it was would be. I bought a house with my phone. We got notified a week later that everything was good to go. It was streamlined. Also, I was able to speak with my loan officer directly. I had her personal cellphone, clarification stuff that needed to be resubmitted via email. She answered every time I called her.

Marcel, the young lady who helped me, was receptive and helpful. The entire process with New American Funding took about a couple of months. I had some things I had to do on my part and it took a while. But they did their best. I'm glad I did the refinancing about a year ago because the rates were good. It’s going up now.

I have my house loan with New America Funding, and I call to know more about HELOC and the loan officer Gabriel **, he was rude and and first we talk in perfect Spanish, then when I call him again to summit my documents, he says he speaks a little Spanish, he didn't want to help me. He just says, "Your income is low. I can't help you," I wish he gave me more options, the first time I refinanced with them, the girl who helped me gave me more options. I try again with a different loan officer.

I liked the reps' knowledge about what was offered and how they would fund my refi. They should offer lower rates. But they were appropriate for what we were looking for. They met the market. And the process was seamless.

The guy who helped me explained for me very well. The experience was phenomenal. Whenever they needed something for the underwriting, I just sent them in through their portal. It was very easy.

The program I went through was difficult a times because of time zone issues. I had people on the west coast time zone and I had been calling people on the east coast time zone when I'm in central. So, that part was a little hectic. Also, I wish they had more information for first time buyers and stuff people would qualify for. I went through a whole deal of using the people I thought would be most helpful. And then they said they don't deal with those people a lot. Once I got denied, they were like, "Well, we had people that we use." But they didn't even bring that up during the process.
I was comfortable during the process but they could also be more transparent on the amount of money people are gonna need. I was told multiple amounts that I was gonna need for the downpayment. But I enjoyed the process overall and it was a good experience.

New American was very good. I was a little apprehensive on it at first, but it turned out fine. I liked that I could talk directly to the processor. The one initial lady I worked with was pretty much just the person that initiated the contract, then she send it over to the person who was going to be dealing with the loan. The rate I got was two-point-something and it was good. I couldn't get that from anybody. I would suggest to my friends that they use New Funding. In real estate, I have my own lender that I use that I've used for 30 years. So, I talked with him about putting a loan on my house and he couldn't compete with this company.

The application process for New American Funding was simple and standard as far as any mortgage application goes, filling out all the stuff and submitting documents. It was straightforward. Alejandro, the rep I worked with, was nice, answered all the questions and helped the process go smoothly. Any time I reached out to him with any questions over the phone or email, he always responded and helped me understand everything. Compared to today's rates, what I received was good. It went up very slightly from the mortgage I had before. But our goal was to refinance, get rid of PMI, and take a little cash out to pay off some things. And we accomplished all that and we got a good deal.

I did some survey online and then New American Funding called me back shortly after and went ahead working numbers. They were responsive, especially on emails back and forth. We worked the numbers to see what sounded good, and then we went with it. It was pretty quick.

The application and underwriting process with New American Funding took weeks. For a person who doesn't do it all the time, you look at the final cost and think that's what I'm being charged. But in reality, part of that are costs that I would have had to pay anyway with any company and I didn't understand all that until later. But I ended up taking a loan anyway.

New American is a misleading and fraudulent enterprise. They advertised as accepting beacon scores of 500 and above and offered to help finance a mortgage, only to give me the runaround with horrible service. Their advertising states they work with imperfect credit. I'm a veteran with decent credit, they eventually said they didn't have any programs for me! Very deceptive advertising and stressful process. Don't trust them.

We used New American Funding about a year and a half ago. I got with Jesse and we had used him to buy our first home. He was pretty awesome. We did a new finance on the home that we had bought in Chickasha. Jesse was the lender and it did well in his area of things. I was impressed by his knowledge and attentiveness and how he was able to help serve us in the timely manner that we needed. It was the biggest thing. The only real trouble we had was right after he handed us over to the underwriters for them to finish up. I wasn't really impressed with the underwriters. It took us 45 days all the way until we closed. New American Funding is at least worth a try. They are out of reach for Oklahoma in terms of being able to actually have an office. If you're looking for someone with an office and here, it probably wouldn't be ideal. But if it's something that you're okay with, it wouldn't be an issue.

The experience with New American Funding has not been good. Recently, I got a letter from them that my mortgage was increased due to the fact that the insurance payment went out, but they had not told me that the mortgage was gonna be raised. I spoke to a representative. She said there was not enough money in escrow to cover the raise. I asked if I could put money in there. She said yes so before the effective date for the increase which was two months prior, I went ahead and sent a money order for $500 to cover the raise so I don't have to pay the increase. It clearly states on their mortgage paper that you have the principal and the escrow. I put in the $500 right beside the escrow but they put it to the principal. I called and they told me it was a mistake. They said they were gonna put it in the escrow and it would be effective before the increase date.
I called again and spoke to a man. I said, “You guys are a rip-off. Why am I getting the increase still when the money is supposed to be in escrow?” He told me that's how it generates but it will be taken care of before the effective date. Until now which has been 2 months later, he has never fixed it. I’m still keep getting the raised one, and I'm not getting my regular statement. I called back this time, and another lady told me, “The money is in escrow, and once we generate the raise for the insurance, there's nothing we can do. If you want your money back, you can get it. But at this time, you're gonna continue to get the increase.” No matter how much money I put in escrow, there's no turning back for the increase of the insurance. It has to generate this new price and I have to pay this new price.
The first lady was nice but this last rep was very mean to me. The second rep which was the man, I was upset with him. They're very shady now especially after the man reassured me that he was gonna take care of it. I used to think they're very honest people. But before they did the increase, I could easily call in the mortgage. That was what I liked about New American Funding. They also take payments straight from the bank. It's very user-friendly. I like that too. I have prior loan people, and it was so hard to make the payments.

People need to think out of the box, and I'm grateful for companies like New American that go above and beyond to make sure the customer doesn't leave feeling disgruntled, like I did with US Bank. I built a home in Southern Idaho and US Bank would not let me out of my construction loan, which was at a much higher percentage than a conventional mortgage.
I just turned 60 and I've used my VA many times in my life and conventional banks. This is my 11th home. Instead of trying to roll me into something that US Bank provided, all they wanted to do was talk about, "You're under contract for the first 24 months. You cannot refinance this. You have to stay as a construction loan." It reminded me again that there's a reason we have other alternative mortgage companies that advertise on television that are okay. I ended up with New American and they were great. I had great credit, and in my situation, I was fully qualified. My agent said, "Well, if we don't lock this in, the rates are gonna roll again." I was watching it all happen live on the New York Stock Exchange with our Federal Reserve, and it was great advice. I didn't feel pressured, but I locked in.
I was waiting to close the deal after I'd locked in, but I had to go to Bakersville, California to see the grandkids. I didn't wanna leave town because I knew there was gonna be a notary coming to do the business. Instead, my agent said, "No. Where are you gonna stay on the way?" I said, "Well, I stay at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada." The notary met us at a casino and did the closing in the restaurant. It was magical, and that goes a long way. I couldn't ask for anything from US Bank that still has my money but not my mortgage.

We used New American Funding to refinance our home and everything was fine with them. They're out of California and we're in New Mexico. Everything was done by phone, and everything was done right and quick. If they or we needed anything, we didn't have to miss a phone call or wait for them. Everything was really good service. The rates that we got were good as well, and we were pleased. This was before rates had gone way up. I'd tell people to use them or contact them to see if they can put a mortgage on their home or finance their home.

I wanted a company that had experience in Michigan. I live in North Carolina, but I was buying property in Michigan. I went with New American Funding and had a great agent. They walked me through the steps and getting an appraisal and an inspection. Other than the little glitch which was mine (not having the technically correct address), everything went great. I liked the fact that they would lock in the mortgage rate. The rates were higher by the time my mortgage closed but I was able to lock it in for eight weeks. I also liked that I had an agent to work with and he was helpful and kept me apprised of the process and stepped in when things got off track a little bit with the address. I'm very happy. Since then, I get copies of the bill and it's on auto pay.

The representative at New American Funding was awesome. She was very helpful and professional. She made me feel comfortable throughout the process and kept me informed. I was dealing with a lot at the time and I was at the hospital because my mom has blood and bone cancer, so I was very stressed. But the rep made the process easy for me and I've never had it go that well before. From beginning to end, as far as getting everything that I needed to get over to her and for me to get the final paperwork, the process took seven days at the most.

I talked with one guy all the time. Unlike with the other company, the guy with New American Funding didn't have his boss get on the phone and pressure me. He answered my questions and gave me all the information. He would follow up if we had any questions. He even followed up afterwards and made sure that we had the proper people to call if we had any questions. It was so organized and we like the corporate policy. He was honest when he said that employees are very happy there. It makes a difference to us.

My loan officer was helpful. I got everything worked out. But New American Funding as a whole could help by to keep me more up to date and informed. Like twice now, I've received something in the mail saying that somehow like my homeowner’s insurance is for some reason stopped somehow through them, through American Funding. So I don't understand why that is, and I also wanna get that fixed up. It's confusing. I'm able to find basic information. But any kind of in depth questions, I don't find anything on the portal.

The process was not excessive, painful or time-consuming. I uploaded whatever they needed, but a lot of times, the information was not getting through. So, I called and they gave me another number and everything went fine. But I'm still waiting for a some document that they told me they were gonna send me. Other than that, the guy I spoke to was very clear and he specified everything. He kept me on top of everything that needed to happen. New American Funding is a good company.

Everybody has been great to us in purchasing a home. Very helpful folks from top to bottom, throughout the process. Everything was explained in detail. If we had any questions, they reached out. Just phone calls. There was no hesitation to answer our calls or questions. They were always there. We thought it would be overwhelming, but they were patient and clear on what we needed to do. The rates were a lot lower than we thought. I was happy that we went with the team there at New American Funding. I would recommend them to family and friends.

New American Funding was the first one I looked at and I liked the way it looked. I was impressed with the reps’ willingness to help, giving a couple of different alternatives. I was hoping maybe a little bit less on the rates but it was still good and when I started researching it, it was competitive with everybody else. We had a good experience with New American Funding and there’s no reason why people couldn't go with them or at least talk with them.

THIS is going to be a long one. I started with New American Funding on February 14th, 2023. We were selling our FL home and buying in KY. THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and NAF should be ashamed; ashamed because they left me, my husband, our son with autism, and our 6 dogs homeless for 5 days AFTER they reassured me they could close our KY home on time. Let's start with the promise: I reached out to C and said "Are you sure you can close by March 14th because I have another mortgage company (CARRINGTON) that will." She assured me they would. First lie. Then, I told them I would bring 100k TOTAL to the closing and we would back into the down payment after costs; they said that was fine.
At the final close, they upped the closing money to over 107k DESPITE THE FACT THAT FHA DOES NOT REQUIRE THAT LARGE OF A DOWN ON A $299K home. As things didn't progress, I reached out to RA and he referred me back to customer service. During all of this, I was stipped, stipped, and stipped again. I was stipped to explain why I wanted to move to KY? Why I took money out of my checking account? THEN we were assigned to C in customer service. I kept reminding him (I have every email) that we would be homeless and he kept responding with more stips.
When we closed on our house in FL on the 17th, we were officially homeless. To add insult to injury, he and the underwriter sent me an email STIPPING ME FOR MORE DOCUMENTATION because I refused to send ALL of my FL proceeds from the sale of our home to their title company and they would SO KINDLY send ME BACK the overage after we closed (with no closing date in my future). We needed that money to live on while we waited for New American Funding to decide they would close on our loan. This cost us and extra $1200 for the week AND an incredible amount of stress (for anyone that has a child with autism, you will understand this!!). This whole 2 month process was horrible.
A light at the end of the tunnel: I saved every email and text from this company and their representatives. I reached out to news channels in EVERY state they do business in and I was surprised to know that this is a newsworthy story. I have submitted all of the emails and texts and people want to hear my story!! I will reach out to every news agency I can find so this doesn't happen to anyone ever again. I also reached out to the Federal Housing Administration and they are very interested in the enhanced stipping I was given when I refused to send the proceeds to their title company and was told I would "get the overage refunded to me at closing." Again, I DID NOT HAVE A CLOSING DATE.

PLEASE, PLEASE do not get your mortgage with New American Funding; they are heartless and will leave you in peril as we were. My son has a history of bolting when he is stressed; this was the ultimate stressor for him (and us!!). There are better options!! I waited so long to post because I have already seen what they do when you don't do what they demand. I will be refinancing as quickly as I can. New American Funding gave me a good offer. There were very helpful and easy to work with. They even helped me get connected with a realtor. They were communicative during the whole process. I knew where everything was. Our rep was super friendly. She was always ready to answer my questions. If she didn't have an answer, she either directed me to someone who did or told me she would figure it out and she did. Even now, if I have questions, I can just email her and she answers even if she's not in charge of my stuff anymore.

I called New American Funding and they were able to give me a decent rate. I've been with the company off and on for a little while. They’ve answered any questions that I've had. If there were some things that I didn't understand, they would explain it. The communication was open and clear. They keep me abreast of the different programs that they have. If I called my rep and he didn't answer, I left a voicemail message. He always returned my call and had the answers. That's what I like about the company. We got a 15-year fixed-rate loan from New American Funding. It was a first-time home loan. We have a home that's paid for. The process of getting it was difficult. The paperwork required to be filed was extensive. I was sitting with an 840 credit score. I didn't think all that paperwork would be necessary with that kind of credit score, credit history, and income level. I borrow money commercially all the time. New American is more stringent than my commercial lenders, but that's okay. My loan person was very detail-oriented. He followed up. He answered any questions that we might have. He was really efficient. The only problem I have with New American Funding is their insurance department. It was a nightmare.

I didn't accept any term in which they can share my information with any third party vendors. I receive so much spams that a significant part of my time is to mark those spam messages.

New American Funding was much more responsive. When we bought our property, we traveled full-time in our fifth wheel. So, every time we reached out, the rep was right there to respond to me and was patient with us getting documents back to her, considering we would have to stop and scan and send off that way. So, she made a challenging situation extremely simple. We were already with one loan officer when another guy kept calling us because they weren't talking to each other. I finally told him, “Stop. We're working with this person.” And once we had the documents ready to upload, that was the challenging part. But they were easy to upload.

Unfortunately, I agreed to handle the entire process through the internet, electronically. And I'm of age where we're not that good at electronic things and it was hard. I would never do it that way again. Next time, I would look for something that is done the old-fashioned way like in-person, having more face-to-face contact or dealing with people that understand that I don’t know what all these things mean. One of the two people in New American Funding who we dealt with tried to helped a lot. She is maybe in her 20s or 30s and I’m 75. She didn't understand that I couldn't understand what she told me and I couldn’t understand her terminology. New American Funding should make an attempt to put their material in 4th-grade language.

They give the best rates and communication was excellent. If you get all the required paperwork in, they work pretty quickly. If there was any delays, I was always informed. I've gotten divorced and I was trying to get my ex-husband off the mortgage, so they were able to work with me to go through the process of doing that. They made it easy for me. Everything was made upfront. My rep was very thorough and he kept me informed along the way. I was very comfortable working with him. I closed within a reasonable time. Give them a try.

The lady who was helping me from California was great. She was right on time and helpful. She was always checking and keeping us updated and on top of it. So, the process went smoothly. The whole mortgage process with New American Funding went great. It was a really easy process. I did it all online other than when I signed to finish the refinancing process. The communication was great. Jeff was my rep. Anytime I had a question about it or how it worked, he explained it well. I talked to him a few months ago about the solar stuff, but I wasn't super interested in my part of it, but I appreciate all the follow-up on it. My payment went up a little bit, but he was also able to take care of a few things.

Bad experience. Loan officer ran my credit. Said I qualified. Said she would call back and never did. I applied with them before and the two loan officers either were let go or quit. I would not recommend this company to anyone when applying for a mortgage.

Overall, a TERRIBLE experience. We started off with one Loan Officer who told us how the process was going to work and what was needed from us. He was very upfront about things and was communicating with us quite regularly. Shortly after, he quit. A different loan officer took over the file and immediately went on vacation, handing the file over to a third loan officer. The loan processor asked for the same documents SEVERAL TIMES, again and again. Then she was let go and a different loan processor took over.
The second loan officer came back from vacation and started creating different contingencies and was not honest about the actual requirements or just did not know what he was saying or asking for, postponing the closing date - that of course, happened when he decided to reply to the dozen emails we had sent... I had to get TWO extensions of close of escrow. Loan officer completely disregarded this and we almost needed a third extension until we included escrow and both realtors who began to realize how incompetent this lender was.
The underwriter took about 4 weeks to review the file (either that or the loan officer/loan processor did not hand the docs over to the UW in time, either way we had to deal with a very upset seller). When we had a candid conversation with the loan officer, he replied by saying "we can stay here all night saying this person promised you this or this one promised you that". VERY CONDESCENDING. Every day their requirements would change and they would blame either on the underwriter or on the fact that it was an FHA loan ---- however it was an FHA loan since the beginning and the different requirements did not come in until the very end? How does that make sense?
We BEGGED them to let us know what docs were need and what was still pending so we could provide them with those docs in a timely manner. They did not care to reply with a list at all. The loan officer was condescending and unprofessional and I urge you to avoid this lender. It is really not worth it and they are amateurs.

This company will lie and lie. They will bounce you around to Tom and Christian and all just lies. I called three people. Two managers and then corporate and every one of them gave me a completely different answer. I told Leander what was going on and he screwed up loan. Then they said, "Oops he should know Fha guidelines but he is out. Here’s Tom." Tom says, "Oh with interest going up we can only loan around half the home value but I’ll see what we can do. I’ll call you Monday." Still waiting on call two weeks ago and then Christian calls and says, "If you need anything please let me know. We will make this right." Well he won’t accept calls either so looking like I have to go to court just to get what they said they sent to me which I haven’t received and corporate says even though they didn’t lie there’s a process. Well they sent it or they didn’t. Lol. Just one lie after the other….

The service and personal attention we received from Kat ** were exceptional and beyond what we expected! Kat's knowledge of the financial markets was vital to helping us with the timing for locking our interest rate. My loan officer, Spencer, was very polite, cheerful, and made sure that we were completing what was needed in order to efficiently go through the loan process. He was great at following up throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend New American funding to anyone looking to refinance or buy a house. The whole team was very friendly. The only issue I had was with having to pay a second inspection fee due to my renovation on my bathroom which I had thought I had qualified with the inspection company before they came out. Miles told me that there should be no issue since I told him up front I was in the middle of the renovation but then I was asked for reinspection since the plumbing was not actively working. While our original communication with this company was active and open while communicating with us, our later contact was not. We experienced several issues when it came to closing due to lack of contact. Our original contact was amazing and tried to help as much as they could but it was essentially out of their hands at that point. As a first time buyer, we don’t know what to expect from this process so communication is key. When you can’t call or reach the people in charge of your loan then it can be very frustrating. I wish I could rate better as we really did enjoy and appreciate the help we received initially.

Talked with Jeff and set up to refinance our house. It worked out very well, all the information that was needed was faxed and sent out. It seemed to only take 2-3 months and Jeff answered all our questions set up the appointment for the appraisal as well as the final meeting to sign the papers. The only suggestion I would make is to please initiate either the mandatory Framework or Fannie Mae house buying course when someone is in the pre-approval stage. I received information to take my course just before closing instead of the beginning of the process, so I missed out on great information, was frustrated to take the course when I just needed to close, and it prolonged the closing process, which is not the time to be thinking about this course. These courses also take time to complete, so rushing to get it done before closing forced me to take a day off of work. Also, please use Fannie Mae for the course, and save your customers $75 which is the cost of the Framework course. They are already paying lots of money to buy a home. This experience is why I'm giving only 4 stars.

Mike was professional, prompt and polite. I didn't like Holly who seemed to step into my loan at the last min, she was demanding and rude. Overall the experience was good, fast and completed promptly. My experience was a smooth one but it quickly became very difficult. My closing was postponed 4 times until it actually happened. A lot of people were starting to lose faith in this process and in me. Thanks to Rudy, my loan processor, today I have a home and it wouldn't of been possible without him! It took us 22 days to process the loan which I thought is very fast considered with the number of customers this company is handling. I highly recommend working with Stacey. Grace was great. We asked for help buying two separate properties simultaneously. Other lenders told us we'd have to close on 1 before we could put an offer on 2, but Grace made both happen in parallel despite neither being a smooth ride! The loan officer, loan processor, escrow officer and appraiser whom I interacted with were knowledgeable, kind and responsive to my inquiries. The whole process was carried out in a timely manner. I would have liked to review the closing documents 24 hours prior to the signing. I was only able to read them one hour before signing.
