Rep could not have been better. I was ready to buy from Monex when he made a follow up call so I didn't go through details, assuming Lear would be competitive. Rep steered me to Silver Falcons which I appreciated. I find I paid a very heavy premium, which my rep is trying to adjust. Steered a friend spontaneously today to Monex albeit reluctantly. Will be buying again within 2 months and another friend will be buying gold soon. Can't in good conscience recommend Lear.

33% COMMISSION. At the very end of the deal they did a BAIT AND SWITCH. They convinced me to purchase Canadian Silver Falcons instead of Canadian Maple Leaves. As a result I was charged a 33% COMMISSION. I was rolling over $70,000 into an IRA. That would have gotten me close to 3500 1 oz Maple leaves at a cost of about $20.00 per oz. Instead I ended up with $1520 1.5 oz Silver Falcons, or 2281 oz and paid close to $30.5 per oz. So instead of paying $20 per oz I paid 30.5 per oz. They offered to buy back my Silver Falcons at a price of around $28.00 per coin. So in 3 Weeks time My $70,000 investment with Lear in now Worth $43,000.

Mr. ** handled the order in a very expeditious and courteous manner and the delivery of the coins I ordered were delivered within 10 days. My only concern, which I voiced to Mr. **, was the FedEx delivery man left the $6200 package on the porch while we were home and no door bell or knock was heard. Mr. ** assured me this would be passed on to the shipping department manager.

I am very pleased with Lear Capital as a purveyor of coins and precious metals. The ordering process is fair and easy, the security of the items sent is "top notch," and the coins that I have purchased have always come in excellent condition, with secure and good-quality packaging. I am very happy with the order that I received from Lear Capital. The only thing that I would like to see on my purchase agreement is a total breakdown of the value and costs of my purchases. I'm generally happy with the experience. I just got the letter showing the details, and I feel I may have been overcharged a bit, but it's too late now. My investment was in silver, and it was quite large for me. I expected, from all I read and heard, that silver would go up; but since I bought it, it has gone down 11%. I do realize it is a long-term investment. Hopefully it will perform well over time.

FedEx delivered shipment to home and left it on the porch. No signature needed. Seems to me that a delivery of that much $$ is more important than just dropping it on the porch.

My dealings with Lear Capital: I am NOT a happy camper! Early on about the end of February 2016 I decided to take some of my IRA money setting in my Schwab stocks account and transfer $60,000 into a Silver and Gold IRA. My first contact was with Terry ** who helped me through the process of getting the funds from Schwab to Goldstar. At that time I told Terry that I only wanted “generic” silver and/or gold. Meaning 1 oz silver rounds like buffalo or sunshine that I already had in my previously established Goldstar account. No special or “commemorative coins”. He said that was not a problem. I assumed that that was the basis for further contacts and dealings with Lear. Well – either that desire was not communicated to “Precious Metals IRA Department” or subsequently to Greg ** or Sean **. OR – if it was communicated it was totally ignored.

GOLD AND SILVER PURCHASE. I have made several purchases with Dana and am extremely happy. Thank you.

I have not invested in silver or gold before now. I was initially interested in gold. Mr. ** steered me to silver. I wanted to see how my first investment went before I considered anything further. I'm still not sure. If I understood the materials that arrived with the silver - it would need to increase by 28% before I broke even. Guess time will tell. Mr. ** was professional and personable.

I have ordered Silver Dollars on several occasions now. The process is simple. The coins arrive in 10 days or so by FedEx to my home. They are packaged inconspicuously in an oversized FedEx box. Depending on the quantity ordered, they have been packaged either in plastic cylinders or in acrylic sleeves. Either is acceptable though I prefer the acrylic sleeves for lesser quantities so that I may give them individually to my grandchildren as prizes for tooth loss! I am very pleased with my purchases from Lear Capital which complement my other retirement investments.

Our coins were polished and discolored. We immediately called to get return protocol. The supervisor (Jeremy **) neglected to call me back until the 8 day (AL law) return requirement had expired. Although the rep (Dana **) expressed a 30 day return policy, Jeremy ** would only suggest a 50% buy back bid price. He was extremely rude and unprofessional! He said I should have just mailed them back even though I had not spoken to anyone or received a call tag! I will NEVER order from them again and will express to other investors to avoid this company EVERY chance I get!

It felt like I was being sold a bill of goods by a savvy salesman only looking out for his commission rather than informing the customer what he was truly buying. I will take complete responsibility for not reading the shipping and transaction agreement in detail. By the way you title that form, it would seem like a harmless form, but in fact, it spells out how you make your money off the customer. Those items however should have been read and discussed with the customer.

I am a retired Federal Employee. I saw a Lear Capital commercial on TV among the many others of their kind. I liked the Lear commercial and called them over the others. I called and was put in contact immediately with a very knowledgeable man who was not pushy or aggressive. I felt comfortable talking with him. He returns my calls within minutes. Usually, he is available immediately. I placed an order and he explained the entire process. Everything went smoothly. Well, I transferred a small IRA three years ago. Principal balance went from $8200 to $2500. Nice! But what hurt even more was the $450 I spent in fees to hold my silver over the three years and now another $150 to terminate (took a full distribution). What a sucker. Thank God I didn't transfer my other IRAs.

The only reason I even considered Lear Capital was because apparently you were the only American distributor of the Canadian Silver Snow Falcon 1.5-oz coins. Normally I would have worked through my regular supplier (APMEX), but they did not have this particular item. So... I decided to give Lear Capital a try. Here are the deficiencies in your customer service model:

Easy, timely, accurate.

Transferring my stock based IRA to a precious metals IRA was simple and affordable with Lear Capital. The support from the Lear Capital team was outstanding. They educated me on how a precious metals IRA worked, which helped me to make an informed decision on my purchase. The fees charged by Lear were very reasonable. The fees seemed to be much less than I was paying for my stock based IRA.

Everything was fine except the FedEx ground driver left silver at the front door unattended- WOW!!!

I was told if I invested $15000, I would receive $500 worth of physical silver. I received 7 1.5 oz pieces of Canadian snow falcon. According to my math, that is about $150 worth of silver. I also had to withdraw $20000 from my 401K to invest the $15000 with you folks.

Purchase arrived on time, as ordered and price was locked in on day of order.

I began dealing with Jacob ** by buying several 2014, 1.5 ounce Arctic Fox Coins at a price of around 41 dollars each. After having the coins for a while Jacob called and said that silver had fallen below a support level and that I needed to sell before it dropped to 10.00 an ounce, which was nothing but a scare tactic to get me to sell my coins. At first I said no but he kept pushing me to sell my coins, then offered me 15.90 an ounce which was way below my purchase price and convinced me to buy platinum and said that I would not be charged any commission.
