None of my debts are being worked on on my behalf. I’ve inquired about this numerous times and nothing is being done. However, monthly payments are being made to my account when I could be using that monies to pay off the account myself.

My only issue is that customer service does not answer my questions that I send via email. The email indicated that someone will get back to me and no one ever does. Everything else has been great. That is my only complaint.

I've had the good fortune of living a fairly long and mostly great life, so far. And my experience has given me a cautious, cynical outlook on life. So when I engaged with JG Wentworth, I didn't quite believe the relationship would help me effectively manage my debt load in my post-divorce life --- and yet, gratefully so for me...I've experienced just the effective management reality I was seeking.

I’m grateful for this program, but I feel like I was told that by Feb I would be seeing my credit score go up & be able to start building my credit back up. It has been a while & I still think things are not in the program. Meaning there are still CC that are still not in the program.

I accepted the advice and recommendation to move forward with debt settlement by JG Wentworth and was been told I was qualified for the program loan to settle all of my debts. The associate helping was incorrect and eventually was terminated for the error. However, even after this admission JG Wentworth refuses to stand by their advice and has no solutions to rectify my situation. I have completely destroyed my credit rating and JG Wentworth has zero reasonable solutions to solve these newly created issues. They simply admit the mistake and offer to do nothing to rectify the mistake. I have been left on my own while they continue to collect fees for the 2 of 10 debts settled to which I legally bound myself at their incorrect advice.

I had four creditors listed on this consolidation and so far, we’ve settled with two. There's still two others that we need to settle with and it's not moving along. There's nothing happening and it’s kind of frustrating. In the beginning, they were following up and then, there was one time when they told me they would not be following up as often anymore but if I need to reach them, I can. They were pretty upfront with that. I would recommend JG Wentworth. Work with them and they'll work with you.

They take your money. I believe it is a total scam. After 8 months I am getting bombarded with calls and texts for financing my debt. Nothing has happened with my creditors. The only number is an 800 #. No contact info for anyone you talk with. Phone goes to survey after long, long wait. No one answers.

I have called, and emailed with little to no response for months. Every time I call, I am told that the department that I need to speak to will call me back, which never happens. It is frustrating, and ridiculous that no one cares enough to get back to me.

This company is terrific. Helpful associates with very positive personalities. Just wish the process to get the agreements with creditors was quicker. I’m being patient as I realize it takes time but it will be worth the wait in the end.

I am very happy with my decision to hire JG Wentworth to negotiate on my behalf, with the credit card companies. Not only am I saving around 30% on my principal, but also have no worries about rising interest rates, as I’m no longer paying those exorbitant credit card interest fees! In the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, there were usury laws where you couldn’t charge anyone more than 18% for any reason. Now they charge 30% and even 40%, making it impossible to pay off principal. So yes, I’m very happy with Wentworth. I like my deal with them, and the way they are helping me get out of the trap called credit card debt. So I like their business model and the way they execute their strategies. I’m grateful for JGWentworth, and will be out of debt soon!

The program has worked very well and I have roughly another year with JG Wentworth. It's not like it's something that happens instantaneously. They bundle it all together and you make one payment. They negotiate with the different companies a reduced price and they handle it by regulating how the money gets sent to the different companies. I've had a good experience with any individual that I've called and spoken with. They've been very helpful and if they don't have an answer for me right at that moment, I usually receive a text or an email later with the answer. I just received a letter from JG Wentworth letting me know how things are going and that if I needed any more information, to go online to the website that I'm logged into to get any information as far as papers and letters and things that I need. It's all right there.

Initially, I wanted a loan to pay my creditors. JG declined to give me one. They instead proposed a debt relief program and I fell for it. I work NIGHTS and they try to CALL ME during sleeping hours. They kept hounding me many different people - almost incessantly - to get a lender to take over the debt - so apparently try the “risk” is no longer theirs. (And I'm sure their own profit is higher). Saying things like “we can get your credit score improving sooner” and “negotiate better / faster” and “get better deals” - so? If it still costs me the same over the same amount of time, so what? It’s more $$ for Wentworth is all. They kept selling me an idea that “you’ll have your credit restored quicker!”
If I was interested in credit score, I would not have done this with Wentworth to begin with. I have gotten desks from my creditors to settle without middleman Wentworth. Good deals. So why didn’t Wentworth negotiate them? Poor negotiators? Don’t care about my situation - only about their profit? (Yes - that part I see clearly now). If they can get a loan company to give them the amount I’m paying - and still profit - at today’s ridiculous and rising interest rates - then the way overcharged me - and that was before the insanity of the rate hikes. Their “lender” dealt directly with them, I didn’t sign anything - just applied and “accepted” - no terms, papers, amounts, details shared. I clearly said I wanted to see them before I accepted. Nothing sent - just apparently a “done deal.”
A JG employee even said they “overestimated” the amount… so I’m sure they profited handsomely. My mistake - I found much better and more reasonable debt solutions after Wentworth deal was made. Then, their portal for me keeps failing… created password and actually linked it - and it doesn’t work. Changed twice. I’m tired of trying. I wanted a simple solution taken care of by these people. They complicated and confounded it. And can’t communicate during my hours. All I see is their first intent: their gain and profit. That’s all. There are consumer advocates out there that are truly consumer-minded. For the benefit of those ladened with debt. Wentworth is not one of them.

The last time I talked to the reps at JG Wentworth, they were honest with me and let me know what was going on. They've connected me to a company to do a loan. So, I'm trying to work with the company now. My money is still going with JG Wentworth until everything is settled. Then I'll stop the $700 a month that's going to them and apply it to the other company.

It was very pleasant and easy to talk to the reps. If there's a problem, they answer my questions, and whatever concern I have, they take care of it. I'm not completely finished with the program, but so far, it's going well. I feel comfortable and don't worry about the creditors calling. I would recommend JG Wentworth.

Still in the program and awaiting improvements on negotiating with creditors. Had to follow-up call multiple times a month to ask for status on the Creditor negotiations when I get no answer and a call from them for the balance owed.

I appreciate their services. The only thing I ask is that they explain a little bit more when they're talking to somebody and let the person know that their credit is gonna be messed up when they take this deal. Had I known upfront that my credit was gonna be messed up for seven months, I probably wouldn't have done it. At the time when I did it, I was doing some things and I needed my credit to be high. If they had told me that, I would have held off and waited. And I would have liked for them to get me a loan when my credit was still high instead of waiting for my credit to go down and getting me a loan at a higher interest rate. Also, from the gate, they should get the settlement upfront instead of having somebody pay six months and then get a settlement. But other than that, they did a great job. They saved me some money and I recommend it to anybody that needs some help like that.

I am satisfied so far regarding my experience so far with J.G. Wentworth. I have never consolidated credit card debts before. Fortunately, my questions have been answered whenever I've asked. I do receive offers from other debt consolidation services and directly from the credit card companies, but I don't trust them. Therefore, I'm reluctant to even respond. I'm in this debt situation, because I helped a housemate/friend during the pandemic who lost all income and became chronically ill. He is recovering, but slowly and will not be able to pay me back in the near future, although he wants to. We remain friends. He has returned to live with his father and brother. Thank you for helping me manage this difficult situation.

It’s been a very great experience having JG manage my Settlement. It’s been a horrible travail dealing with the debt largely due to an authorized user who ran up the debt on at least three or more of these accounts. JG really took away the burden of having to negotiate on my own or having to my the minimum payment which I could not afford due to the interest. The sense of ease and relief I have is remarkable and it was a great decision contacting JG.

I’m pretty dissatisfied at the moment. It’s been about 9 months and 3/4 of the accounts settled. However, the last account is suing me and I was told I would be protected from that. Yet here we are and I can’t get any answers. Just told to call the law firm that never answers.

I wish I had never worked with JG. It has be now over 7 months and only have 1 settlement and have not even started working with other creditors. My score is lowest it has ever been. I should have worked with my creditors on my own.

I still have accounts not closed and when I signed up they didn’t tell me some of the accounts are not eligible. I really wish the communication was a lot better. I have had summons come to my door which was nerveracking enough.

I liked JG Wentworth's trustworthy name. When I reached out to do the application, my experience was very insightful. Whoever I was speaking to had a lot of unbiased views on what to do and felt very knowledgeable. The program worked great. Everything that I was told was going to happen, pretty much did, and I feel like it's going a lot quicker than I had planned for it to. I'd tell others if they were in the same predicament as me, JG Wentworth is their best option.

The reps from JG Wentworth were nice and very informative. At first, I was a little bit confused of the whole process, but I just asked them to explain it again, and then it made more sense. They would go through stuff fairly quickly but I would go, "Hold on, can you explain this?" I'm still working through the program. It's been a bit stressful. I was just talking to them this morning. One of the ones I had debt with is filing illegally. So, it's become a lawsuit. JG Wentworth has a law firm that they use, that I sent the paperwork to, and then they're supposed to reach out here in the next 24 to 48 hours. I wish it would go faster, but it's just the time frame. It's nothing anybody can really change.

So far is been good. But I worry about the time left to pay all the accounts. I not sure on what month should be the last payment. Is the time left from now basically March 2023 to....2024 and only 2 account are under contract. My question is will all account be payoff on time,.

I did a debt settlement with them and the process was fairly easy. The monthly payment was reasonable. The only issue is that their fees are very high. I was able to make a $40k lump sum and when I did the math. I paid a total of $78k of payments and they end up settled around $53k but the settlement fees were 23K. That's a big difference. That's not even taking into consideration that you will be receiving 1099's from all your credit cards in the amount of the write off amount and that has to be filed as income in your taxes.

This has been a horrible experience. I was told it would hardly affect my credit. Almost -200 pts is not hardly. The deals are non existent, they told me 3 to 6 months they would have deals with people. Nearly a year later, 2 deals, 1 refused and transferred, gave the new info, not one told me they got it or anything. 3 left and crickets. JG just keeps taking their cut. I would rather nose dive off a roof than relive this experience. I just pray someone there has integrity and will start doing what they promised. I can't go back now since you totally screwed me over and lied to me and destroyed my credit.

The customer support reps at JG Wentworth were helpful and informative. It's just if I was to do the program again, I wouldn't go through them. Halfway through, they offered me to get a loan through another company. So, that way, it would pay off my debt but in turn, it would make me be in more debt for the long run. If I had known that would've been the case, I would have just pulled that along before ever going with them.

JG Wentworth laid everything out - how they were gonna do stuff. Every time they would contact one of the debtors that I had, they always kept me informed, which was the biggest thing. Whether it was through email or text, I always knew the whole process. Also, if I had any questions, they were always there to answer me.
They explained to me, in some instances, that the process could take a little bit longer than others because they have to wait for the creditor to consider the account delinquent. Some creditors were easier to deal with as far as wanting to settle the account and others were a little bit harder. Every once in a while, they would have to reach out to me and get both of us on the phone at the same time to give them permission to access the account or settle the account. But they were always there.
Most of the time, the person that was handling my account was always available. If not, he called me back as soon as he got off the next line. The way the program worked was I could continue to make the monthly payments that I was making and it would go to the creditors from that point. But they had a program where they had another company that worked with them that offered me a loan. It was a higher interest rate loan than you would normally get but considering my credit status, it gave me an opportunity to pay everything off.
I was approved for the loan which was right about the same amount as the monthly payments that I was paying before. But it takes 40% if you add everything up completely. I accepted the loan terms and that money was sent to JG Wentworth who pay the creditors. Instead of it being strung out for three years and always showing delinquent, it's gonna show as being paid. It'll still show as delinquent but paid and it's gonna have a better status. Once all these accounts are paid, my credit score should go back up.

From the very beginning of this entire experience with JG Wentworth, we have received conflicting information from every single representative and we weren’t able to get solid answers. It was super frustrating. Nobody told us that my credit score would be hit this hard. Nobody told me before signing up that the credit lenders would report to the bureau's “serious delinquency”. This has absolutely ruined my credit. I used to have a credit score above 800. I now have one as low as 605. Absolutely unacceptable. We were told that you would be negotiating with the credit lenders, and you did for one of them, but only because I called and requested you DO something for our account since we hadn’t heard anything. Since then, one of my accounts has closed (from nothing JGW did, they closed it for lack of payments).
When I call you guys for an update you keep saying I need more funds in the account for you to start negotiations with them. This was never told to me when starting the program. You can also never tell me how much is actually needed to start “negotiating”. How can this be when you’ve quoted me exact numbers of what my payment plan would be and some reps guaranteed me it would not be more than that amount? How would you know that if you haven’t started negotiating? Surely it’s not based off of “we’ve done this before”. That’s extremely off putting.
This whole thing is just a huge mess and honestly pretty unprofessional. We will NEVER, and I mean NEVER use your services again. Especially now that I’ve learned that I could negotiate with credit lenders myself first. Save on all of your fees and do it without absolutely DESTROYING my credit score. You better hope my score returns and these remarks aren’t permanent. You’ll be hearing from me and my lawyer soon if not.

I am unsure that this was a good choice for me. I have been making payments to JGW and it seems just t another part of my billing problems. I can’t even hardly get through to customer care and rarely get to find out info. I have left many messages and texts and still nothing. Regretting this choice for me but hopeful things will improve soon. Still somewhat early in this process. Approx 6 months in.

When you allow them to handle your Debts, there are no worries. All questions were explained thoroughly and they are all courteous with handling my personal problems. I was a little hesitant in the beginning, but after speaking with them, I was pretty confident in my decision.

Great job!! Very helpful and easy to talk to. They have really helped me with my credit card problems!! I like the emails and the texts, they also have other departments for other problems with credit cards. You can text them or emails. I also can fax or screenshot pictures.

I was trying to find a way to handle my debt and lower payments per month. JG Wentworth made it pretty simple and explained everything to me. This program has been good. The only thing is that when I started, they told me it wouldn't take more than 6 to 12 months. But took over a year, which was longer than I anticipated. That really affected me a lot in general. That was a downfall for JG Wentworth.
There were also a couple of times they reached out to me to possibly do a loan. That didn't make sense because the whole point of my doing the program is to consolidate my debt. The loan is gonna be high in interest and I was trying to get away from that. What I've already put into the JG Wentworth would go towards the loan but in the long run, I'd be paying way more. Other than that, everything was good for the most part. Just be mindful that it might take longer than the time that JG Wentworth gave you to actually get things really going for you, but that doesn't affect your credit as much.

At first, JG Wentworth seemed like they were the only ones that were really okay for what we were looking for at the time. The program worked out okay. Their reps explained everything up front. A few things that were promised didn't fall through, but we can live with that. Once we signed everything and it was documented, it looked like the interest rate went up 3%. They could also have better communication. When you reach out to someone or tell someone that you are not gonna be available, and then they call back at a certain time and sometimes they did, but a lot of times, they did not. Overall, other than helping out with debt consolidation, I don't think they have saved us any money.

JG Wentworth is okay but I'm not as happy with how long it's taking to finalize all my debt. The other company I was using was a little bit quicker in consolidating and closing out my card. But it's getting done and that is kind of nice. It takes time to settle debts so that's understandable.

They have a seamless program. I've had a great experience with them. They were really great with my alternating schedule, ‘cause I worked late hours at the time. They were very helpful in answering all my questions. I was looking for a loan at first. Then as they were assisting me with helping me find the perfect loan, they ended up letting me know about the program. I had a lot of questions and I was very skeptical at first. But they did a great job of explaining. They were going all through my finances with me first. And then they let me even get the opportunity to sit there and think about it and review everything we went over, which was great. I didn't feel too rushed into anything.

With the help of JG Wentworth, I was able to settle some of the high credits I had. They also helped me get a personal loan to finish the program a little bit quicker. Everything was pretty simple and easy. The total process took a couple of weeks and working with them eased my stress.

When I called JG Wentworth and told them what I was looking for, they told me they didn't do it but they could offer me something where I could consolidate all of my credit cards by only paying one payment a month to them. I told them that was not what I was looking to do. The guy explained that service to me and that the consolidated payment would be less than all of the payments put together that I was already paying. It'd be easier instead of remembering all the different days of the month.
We did it and I like it. The process was easy. The guy who was assigned to talk to me was so friendly, informative and easy to contact. They never at one point stopped having me talk to that guy and gave me to some stranger that I had to then explain everything. I even communicated with him through text messages. It was super convenient. I was impressed by it. They ultimately sold my debt to another company so now, I'm paying the same amount that I was paying to JG Wentworth on the same date, but to a different company. They kept all the terms the same. I also got letters in the mail, like JG Wentworth said I would, from the original creditors saying the letter signified that I have satisfied the debt and it's been paid.

It's been a good experience. They have helped me with my creditors and helped me consolidate my debt and pay it off much faster than I thought I would. The counselors have been great with advice and tactics to help me pay it all off faster and they negotiated settlements with my creditors to pay off less than I owe and save me thousands.

Still waiting for two of my debts to be negotiated. They are slow at this process. Also once they are all negotiated and the balances decrease they should adjust the monthly payment amount accordingly. Not very happy with this process.

I have an account that was on my resolution program and apparently someone is not very good at numbers, because I am currently paying this account outside my program. My monthly payment is steep so there is no reason this account should've been pushed to the side for me to pay!!

I’ve been with them for 6+ months and they are still working through my accounts. Plus, they sold my account to some creditor who harasses me DAILY to take a loan out and pay off my debt. I would’ve done that already and not consolidated my debt. The online portal is EXTRMELY confusing, not very user friendly. I’m already in and paying them every month, but hopefully this is the LAST time I get myself into the debt mess. Thanks a lot COVID!!!!

I like the first time they helped me. But the last time that I used them, I don't like that they told me they can continue to help with the payment for the credit card but then switched me to Credit America. The customer support team gave me a good deal and information the first time. They helped me with a couple of things and I was happy. But after six months, they told me that they can't continue to pay.

They have great representatives. At any point that I had any type of questions like if I was confused with some type of information, they would explain it to me. I've had about three months where I wanted to bump up my payment date for one or two more days, and they were awesome with that. They were understanding about that. Six of my accounts have been settled. I have four that are left to be settled. I have two of those four in the process of getting settled. So everything is on the right track. JG Wentworth and even the law firm that's helping me out with two accounts are handling everything for me. They are amazing people. So I couldn't ask for a better process to be able to get this going and get me into the right track and have these accounts all settled.

My Discover cc shows as a charge off on my credit report. Called JGW customer service to have it corrected to show settled...No corrections to date. Once it is updated I will feel more positive; however, what took JGW 4 to 6 months, I did on my own in less than a half hour.

The service is not really good. They've made a lot of promises they haven't kept. I've had a resolution to three of my four creditor but they haven't gotten the other released yet. It's been a little over a year. I've called three times about it and each time, they say the money needs to be built up to make a settlement which wasn't what they said in the beginning. They said that within three months, everybody would have been agreeable to the settlement and it would be a matter for me to make the payment after that. I have yet to miss a payment. If I paid what they told me to pay, they're gonna get their commission. But I don't know what's gonna happen at the end of this if the other creditor hasn't settled. Also, there is a lack of communication. Once I signed up, they had no interest in communicating with me beyond that.

They've really helped me out as far as getting everything back in order so that I can again have credit. They work silently in the background and contact me when they need to which has been really good because I help take care of my parents. I'm really hard to get ahold of as I'm really busy. So, they shoot me a text and say, "We need to talk to you." and I call them back. It's not like they're hounding me. But they keep me informed and they send me statements. So far, it's been a really good experience with them. JG Wentworth is a good company. If you have issues like what I have, it's the best place to go. That way, your credit is not dragged down. Eventually you can get that rectified so you can go on with your life.

While I wasn't qualified for JG Wentworth's better programs initially, I worked with them to develop consistency with me paying off a payment schedule. And they got me set up with another agency to take on my debt that I had and get a program that was fairly affordable so that I could get my debt paid off quicker.Most of my interactions happened via phone calls. I had access to my online account where I could see where my money was going. But I trusted the people that I was working with. I had a set person that overlooked my account. So, that was the person that could always reach out to me. And that was something that was important. So, I didn't feel like each time I called, I got a different person. I knew exactly who my contact person was that was handling my account. That's something I liked about the services. I would recommend JG Wentworth Debt Relief to friends who are going through the same thing.

I received an email shortly after I signed a contract for services, asking me if I could add additional money, so they could work on my case more effectively. This seemed like an odd request to me, seeing as I had already agreed to an amount in the contract. I also kept getting calls to update me, during my normal work hours, when I asked in the contract, not to call me during those hours.
I was initially advised that I would not be receiving any communications from either of my debtors after my case had been worked after some time. As of the date of this review, I am still receiving mail from those debtors. I am to the point that I'm thinking I may have chosen the wrong company for assistance, and I'm not so sure that I will recommend them to anyone in the future.

I have used this type of service before for debt consolidation but this time with JG Wentworth has taking way too long to settle accounts. The experience has been good, I was told it would take up to 6 months but it has taken a lot longer. Slow. I am a little disappointed and I thought I would be repairing my credit by now but this has not happened as of yet.

I originally consolidated to loans to save myself about 700$ a month plus interest fees. Well after doing this and not paying on the two loans one of the loans is now to where I have to pay $ 700 a month plus what I pay JG Wentworth. I’m paying the same amount as I was before the consolidation. Now my credit is horrible and I’m saving no money. I’m very disappointed in this and will not recommend it to anyone or will I ever do it again.

Honestly, I haven’t been too happy with this process. When I first started with them back in May 2022 I was told this process would take only a few months with my 6 creditors and my credit would start to go up. It’s now January 2023, 8 months later and only 2 settlements have been done. My credit is still not great and the amount of phone calls I get for the same thing I’ve explained to several different people have been insane. I’ve been paying over $200 a month and nothing has really been done. I wish it didn’t take as long as it’s taking and feel they are just taking my money at this point. I’m almost sorry I started this process.

Paying off my debt is a big relief. My only dilemma is, I’m not receiving any notification saying that a creditor was paid because I’m not seeing nothing on my credit report. And the creditors that I’m paying off also, it’s not sending me any notification that I paid off my bill so I would need help with that.

Sometimes I get mixed communications. For instance, one was about my credit score going up after. But somebody else was, "Oh, no. It's after everything is settled, at the end of the program." Read the fine print. Know what you're getting into. JG Wentworth takes fees as well. But they overall lower the percentage of debt that you owe.

I thought I would have some end with creditors by 8 months. I am getting threatening letters about turning over to lawyers. The process to start this is easy but settlement while hurting your credit is hard. I see the sum of what is owed keep building higher and that is sad. Just hope some settlement is soon.

2 of my 7 accounts went to litigation. I had to call and make them aware. That resulted in extending my amount of time that I was told it would take to clear my Debt. The other one I'm being told have reached a settlement but would again lengthen my payback time and higher my monthly payment. My initial completion date was 1-23, now it's been dragged out until 9-23 and if I agree to the last settlement it will drag it out for 2 more years. Totally incompetent. Didn't deliver their promise on day 1.

Accounts that was suppose to be in the program are not and I am not getting any feedback. I am reaching out to an attorney to see other options I may have. I am receiving new collections letters about those account that should have been settled. The new accounts to be added was uploaded and I received 1 call about them nothing else. I am unsure at this point considering all the money I pay in for this program.

I was told the process would take 6 months to complete. It is moving into the 9th month and several of my accounts have gone to a legal agency. JG Wentworth is telling me I need to give them more money so it will move faster. I am paying into my account what I was told would move all this in the 6 month timeframe. If I had more money to put into the account, I wouldn’t need to go through a debt settlement,

If I could do zero stars, I would. Customer service is useless and asking for a supervisor and speaking to one is even worst. The amount of fees charged, for useless customer service is really unbelievable. Aúne some of those fees should go towards training the staff better and then maybe us customers can get a better treatment when we call customer service. I am still waiting for a call back from a very rude supervisor, It has been a week.

Somebody kept calling me saying that they were with JG Wentworth. They wanted me to apply for a credit card that would allow us to pay off our debt. I hesitated for the longest time but they were calling every single day. Finally, I said, "Let's do this" but they didn't accept me. That made me mad. They made it sound so good and all I had to do was apply and it would go through. But it didn't. My husband was livid. Other than that, applying for everything was rather easy and customer support was really good. I have another year in the process.

JG Wentworth is doing a great job, however, I keep getting calls from other debt consolidation lenders who claim that they have good news on how I can pay off my debt quicker. They also claim they are connected with JGW. I haven’t talked to anyone, but let it go to voicemail. I’m not. I have no idea what is going on, but if JGW has other connections, someone should be calling me besides these other lenders.

I don’t understand why I end up speaking to someone different every time I call about my accounts. It would be easier to have one person assigned to my account and have a brief idea of what is going on. But instead, when I call I get someone different and they feed me the same lines. Then When I correct them on something, they have to put me on hold and get some more information. It’s been so frustrating. Or if I ask them to contact someone, and they don’t and I end up with collection letters.

I was very nervous starting out. No matter how well they try and explain what will happen, there is something nerve wracking about not paying your bills and dealing with the collection calls. This is a process that starts slowly and builds. But I have been with them for a year now and am truly seeing results. My credit score is starting to climb again as accounts are paid off. My credit was over 650 when I began this process. I simply wanted to consolidate my payments to 1 place and lower them instead of 4 separate payments. I was denied the loan then they directed me to this program and instructed me to stop paying my credit card bills, which has now ruined my credit. I had zero late payments on my record until joining this program through JG Wentworth. Now I can't get a home loan which I had already been approved for before I ever called JG Wentworth.
So now I'm stuck paying rent which is up like 30% since I last moved and my credit is below 550, and now they approved me for the credit consolidation loan. I truly feel like I was lied to simply so that JG Wentworth could profit off me. They need to be VERY clear that this program is exclusively for people who are already behind on their payments, and to look elsewhere if you simply need a consolidation loan. I will NEVER recommend them and have directed many against it already! Thanks for ** my credit!

It’s been over a year now of working with this company. A few of my debts were settled early on but then it was silence. When I finally get through because I’m being sued by a debt, I’m told I’m not paying enough (even though it’s what was agreed upon at sign-up) or they are going to reach out on my behalf. I asked the company that is suing me and they said they haven’t heard back from J.G. Wentworth. The last this debt heard from them, J.G. Wentworth offered them a lump sum settlement that would not have been possible. This is also not the first debt I’ve had to handle myself that are supposed to be part of this program yet my payments have stayed the same. I turned to this company when I was so stressed and felt like I had no hope, well they have made it so much worse.

Everything went fine and I am slowly getting my debts taken care of, however when I first got in contact with JG Wentworth I inquired about loans to pay off debts and I was informed that they couldn't help me with that because with my debts I couldn't get approved for enough money to pay off my debts and they pushed the program I am now in. Now that I am in for roughly a year and my credit score is completely ruined they are pushing me to go into a loan with a ridiculously high rate so I can speed up the process and get my credit score back up again. My credit score was fine before I signed up for this program. They were the ones who said this was a better option?

I’ve been in the program for almost 8 months and I have two accounts settled. My credit is lower than it has ever been and any card I decided to keep open to help with emergencies are also now closed because my payment history in general is now completely destroyed. I recently called in and someone told me that I would not be able to have all my accounts settled at once because I don’t have enough in my savings, this was never told to me before. I am actively trying to find another solution for my debt, as this program made it so much more stressful.

Initially I was so excited to find some financial relief but I was not told what to expect. I knew my credit would get hit but I didn’t realize by 250 points. It also took 6 months. I also lost the limits on every single credit card I had because I was a liability. I understand I should have asked questions but as a business you should inform people of all the consequences involved. Coming from step one, when I put the application process in, JG Wentworth contacted me. They helped me through step-by-step to where I needed to get stuff going and what I needed to get done as far as paperwork and contacting the other creditors. Once I got the paperwork in, they handled it. The program was able to get me on a schedule and to help me talk to the creditors that I had. Setting up a budget for me has taken a lot of stress off. "Okay, this is how much you can do, or this is what you kind of need to do. If you can make it happen, great." The program got me hooked online to get my debts taken care of.
JG Wentworth made it very easy for me to go through the program and to continue on with my life. I've gotten online about once a month to check on the program, as well as been informed by JG Wentworth of where things stood. Two of the creditors have been taken care of, and we're still working with one of them right now. We're almost a year and a half in to the program, and we're about halfway through. So far, it's been really good. Working with JG Wentworth has helped me out a lot, and I'm very fortunate that this came along at the time that it did. I would highly recommend it if someone was in a tight pinch or needed some financial assistance.

The JG rep called me and I really enjoyed working with him. He made the process pretty streamlined and I was able to understand the process by just speaking with him. He was good. With the whole process and with me staying on top of my payments and everything on time, I was able to get a consolidated loan. It wasn't the best as far as the percentage rate and everything wasn't that great, but I'm doing a lot better now. There was one thing that I’m upset about. I got something via email the other day saying that one of the creditors that I had come to an agreement or settlement with is now making the rest of my loan taxable income and I was not told that. I'm a little concerned.
That aside, I would recommend JG. My experience was good. But for anyone that does it, the person would have to have a lot of patience and understand that the process is going to continue even after one graduates from the program. It is a process and it is something that's not going to happen overnight. But if you stick to it, eventually, it will start showing itself. At this point, I'm seeing a slight rise in my credit score. My credit score got down to the low 500s as I went through the program. Now, it's back up to 600. It's not a great credit score, but it's getting there.

The application process was easy, and the reps communicated very well on what was going on, or if I had questions, they answered it in a timely manner. The program has been good. The rep I originally spoke to sold the program as though they constantly work on your accounts to get an agreement and can do it pretty quickly. They don’t. This program essentially just asks for all of your debt and waits until you default. Creditors even confirm they never reached out for negotiation. Wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone but I’m in it.

To everybody who read this complain. Do not do business with this company, they don't know how to treat the client. They are a liars. Just they take your money and really they don't care about your settlement. The call center is a garbage. They have people just playing with the customer, you can hear in the background the people talking and laughing. They’re dragging along longer than I had been told to expect. Credit score has tanked. Debtors hounding more. Need some relief and settlements for some accounts soon. I’ve missed no payments to you but my credit report says I’ve missed 6 mos of payments.

My overall experience has been good except I have a creditor listed on my client portal that is not mine. I have contacted customer service and also texted and the account has not been removed. The customer service department told me to dispute it on my credit report. The problem is it isn't on my credit report only listed in my client portal. Maybe it isn't a big deal but I have never had any accounts with US Bank.

My experience with JG Wentworth was fine. The gentleman I worked with was very nice. Time-wise, within an hour, we had decided what to do and went ahead and got the ball started on it. He worked with us very patiently and got everything done. There were a couple of times after the process had already started, we thought of something that we should have asked, and we called back and they answered our questions right on time and to our satisfaction.

I am very dissatisfied with your service as I have been active for a year, paid my monthly bills on time and when I entered into the agreement I was advised that all my loans that were agreed upon would be settled within 6 months and then I would be able to negotiate a better monthly payment. My last loan has gone to a debt bill collector and they are going to court which is what I was avoiding in the first place. My credit has not been increased either which was what I was advised of within a year. My credit rating has suffered worse since dealing with your agency. This was not what was explained to me when I first entered the agreement. Would appreciate your assistance with settling my last loan as I sent the information on debt collector in a previous email. Please help me.

JG Wentworth worked it out with each of my debtors to make a better offer of paying my debt off. They also helped me to get a loan for all my debts. It was the only one that helped me a lot, and they didn't ask me for that many documents. It's a good offer, and I'd do it again if I need it. The first time, it was a little scary 'cause I've never tried debt consolidation. However, they always called, telling me, "You're almost done with the process. You're gonna be good." They made me feel really comfortable and really trust them.

There are some creditors still not resolved/negotiated and I don't know why. No one has communicated with me as to why the delay in resolution of the outstanding accounts. I do get a periodical notice in email about the status in general but not very informative related to what is actually happening behind the scenes. My credit score has not improved much at all. Otherwise, I am satisfied.

Our experience with them was very pleasant. Everybody was always in contact. If I ever had a question, they were prompt in getting back to me. The services were top-notch all the way around with everybody that I was involved with. They knew what they were doing. I was a little leery at first until I realized that they're legit. I'm not sending my money off to somebody in India.

I was financially destroyed by covid and had to close my business. This program kept me from filling bankruptcy. The fees are a little high but not as much as it would have been to clear my debt to card companies.

Their program worked really well. They were straightforward on how it's gonna work. It's like taking a hit at first with your credit and fielding the phone calls from the creditors, which is understandable. But once you get over that hump and JG gets involved and talks to them, it slowly goes away. It's just a matter of being patient and trying to get through that, which is very tough. But JG Wentworth did everything they said they would do. My credit's been on a steady incline ever since. So, it worked. The reps were also very good and responsive. Texts, phone calls, emails. I got replies usually the same day, if not the next day.

Instead using Mozilla's Firefox my preferred internet browser, I had security issues with FireFox. I overcame them when I used Microsoft Edge. The time it was taking to finishing the initial processing was longer than expected. Being retired I am not in a hurry for most things to occur.

I got a little discouraged because I went several months without any progress, yet I was making my payments to JG. Suddenly I started seeing some progress, two settled in the same day. They have definitely taken a huge weight off my shoulders.

I have seen little to no communication from anyone and fees are much higher than anyone ever shared. Given this information I could have negotiated better myself. My bad choice. In the future I will ask more questions when dealing with a bank like this.
