JG Wentworth Debt Relief Reviews

I do not know if I have saved very much money from the original debts which JGW negotiated since the negotiations are not from the original debts owed but from the current debt which includes the interest fees and penalties plus the amount of the payment to JGW to "settle" the accounts for me. Looking over the most recent report of the settlements lead me to believe that perhaps I am not saving nearly as much as I was originally told I would save over the full length of the process.

The program worked fine. They were professional and very informative. They were easy to talk to. I got the whole part of the way through it and I was able to secure a loan and pay off the rest that I owed.

JG Wentworth provided excellent service if I had questions or concerns. Their program was great. It was a way to try to reduce the debt that I had and I’m pretty much done with it. Instead of owing each company a portion at a time, I consolidated all into just owing one amount and I tried to find something that would fit the budget schedule that I had set out. I was able to track my progress through their website and it’s a simple grasp. I'm in software engineering so the website itself was easy to find your tools and accessibilities. JG Wentworth speaks for themselves. You see them everywhere and how they're lawyers that helped people through settlement, lawsuits and things of that nature. So it shows that they're reliable and they know what they're doing.

I had to tell the reps to stop calling and texting me because they were checking in on me a little bit too much. But that's better than not at all. The communication has been good. I just have to approve everything that they get a settlement on. Sometimes though, I have to tell them to take the money that I've sent in and to apply at places, or they need to start paying off a certain debt that I'm trying to pay off. I'm still working with JG Wentworth and it's been okay.

JG Wentworth’s reps kept me informed on all changes and procedures. They were very helpful and informative.

Dealing with JG Wentworth I have had a great weight lifted off my shoulders. Anyone who has called have been very courteous and helpful. If I had known about the help with my finances that I could get through JG Wentworth, I would have signed up sooner than I did.

This service has been great. The only problem is that I was having to use this service, which means I couldn't take care of my credit myself. Thanks for lying to me at the beginning of signing up saying the entire process would only take up to 6 months, and then never reaching out to majority of my creditors for a settlement after 11 months and now I’m being sued and having to show up to court for 3 credit cards :) Oh and no one reaching out to me from this stupid company to help with the legal representation I was promised. Huge mistake choosing J.G.W.

My only concern is the proactive response to my emails and it seems to take a suuuper long time for JGW to contact all my creditors in the time frame specified. Otherwise I guess I need to deal with awful credit which could have been avoided if proactive in settling with all creditors more quickly

I’ve found my experience to be very positive! My counselor Shawn was easy to talk to and he was very patient with all my questions! They have settled I believe, six accounts in a short amount of time! When I asked to have another account added to the program it was no problem at all! I highly recommend JG Wentworth!

One of several accounts settled. I could do better myself. I would definitely not recommend JG Wentworth to anyone. As a matter of fact I recommended against them earlier today. They charge too much for what little they do... I would have expected a company with the name JG Wentworth would have better success.

Everything has been great and yesterday I sent my bank statements to the loan company given to me through your company. I also included my pay statements cause I figured they would be asking for them next. I’m waiting to hear from them.

They made it very easy and everything's been working great so far. JG Wentworth kept me in the loop and notified me of everything that's been going on.

They were honest with me and they answered all the questions that I had. It was very clear what they were going to do and what they intended to do. I was never in the dark about anything. They did everything they said they would do so I was very happy with their service. I was very satisfied with everything that I had to deal with and I wouldn't change anything.

The reps told me what was gonna happen, how it's happening and kept in touch with me. I appreciated that. JG Wentworth was wonderful. The payment plan worked perfectly. They asked me what my income was and I told them and we worked out through that. What they offered me was great. I get a text when it's about time for my payment to be taken out and any time I had any questions or concerns or needed to change the date for some reason or another, they were very helpful with it. I'd recommend them to anybody. I was in the program for almost a year and then, I went with this other place, which is affiliated with JG.

In the beginning, the program was vague but when it changed, it went okay. I just knew JG Wentworth was working on it and they did. There was one time I called because one of the accounts got deactivated that wasn't supposed to but it was just part of their process. So, I'm still working on that. Making payments was automatic, so I didn't have to make them myself. they just took it out the on the days that I got paid. So, it worked out well. I would recommend JG. The program helped a lot but I’m not in it anymore. I was able to take out a loan to cover it.

Initially, I was seeking a loan to consolidate my debt, and then I got into JG Wentworth's program to assist with paying off my debt. Working with their reps was a good experience. Every time I called, they answered. They were very helpful with understanding the process. The program worked great for me. It gave me a better understanding of how debt works, using your credit and your credit score. I would definitely recommend the program. It moved very fast and assisted with getting my debt clear.

I feel that you are dragging your feet on this. I work with loans and do know that when we settle it only takes a day on the settlement amount. I now have a court date on being sued which I never thought would happen. I am very dissatisfied with this whole process.

Very good so far. Reps have been v helpful and knowledgeable. Hoping Citi will negotiate to bring about a solution. JG W has been v helpful. As a retiree I hope to settle this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Wishing JGW negotiators the best of luck in doing so.

I am very satisfied with the services of JG Wentworth. They have exceeded my expectations. They have settled almost 80% of my debt in less than 8 months. My experience with them has made me realize that I made the best experience.

They have helped me settle and pay my credit card bills down in a timely manner and get them off my credit report. I would recommend them to anyone that has credit card bills and are behind and need to get them off your credit score.

I feel like responding to text messages needs work. And email messages sometimes go unanswered. Other than that the service is very good when responsive. JG Wentworth has a good thing going if they focused on customer relation. I get other offers all the time, I don’t want to regret going with JG.

JG Wentworth looked at what I had then gave me options explaining to me what would be the best way to do it. I was able to call the person I had as a representative and talk to him about my concerns. However, JG Wentworth switched me over to another company that charged me even more. They said that the other company would pay my debt off together then I could pay them. I liked working with JG Wentworth better than who I'm working with now 'cause I was able to just call the person I was familiar with.

Everything was smooth when I enrolled with JG Wentworth and they told me from the beginning it was gonna take my credit. I had gone back up to a 650 credit score and then, it dropped me down to a 420. So now, I'm trying to get back up. The loan I got afterwards since my credit was tanked was a high interest loan so that sucked. But overall, it's a decent program I’m in, especially if you already have bad credit. It just sucked because I had my credit already getting up high. But if I didn't do it, I probably would've been overflowing with debt. We got some debt closed quickly and then, they got this company that gave me debt consolidation loan.

I am feeling comfortable with my loan, I am paying my dues at time, but I want to pay my total loan amount in a less time. I have 48 months to pay my total amount, but I want to pay in less time that this time with a same amount monthly.

My experience with J.G. Wentworth has been pleasant in working with the company, and not so pleasant in having to ignore phone calls from the creditors. J.G. Working with JG Wentworth was good. Their reps were personable, and they had good customer service.

Working with JG Wentworth was comfortable. They didn't push anything on me or anything like that. The program worked out pretty well. They transferred me to another company called New Credit America, which paid off all my debt. Now, I'm just making payments to New Credit America. Whereas with JG Wentworth, it was a slow payoff towards the debt. I was pretty satisfied all in all. JG Wentworth is a good company to work with.

Only thing that got done in 9 months is you received your money and my credit score has been destroyed. Then after you take 25 percent you try to force me to take a predator loan tool. I feel like I have been scammed.

JG WENTWORTH has been a great experience for me. From day 1 they have talked me through the process and helped me get out of the major debt I had because of Covid. They have always been there if I had questions about the program I am in. No matter who I have talked with, they have been very professional.

They tell you you will only get three or four months of late fees to get you in. Then after a year of multiple companies putting late fees on your credit card all while sending JG large amounts of money each month they JG will call you and tell you how great you are doing on payments and we want to offer you a loan to at 30% interest to help you keep from getting any more late fees on your credit report! It is a complete scam that has screwed my credit terrible. At least before I was making the minimum payment and had excellent credit score until they completely lied about their offer!

My experience thus far has been stress free. The process has been easy and I have been updated regularly. I appreciate the stress free in which the company has helped me in this process. I like that I am emailed on what is going on in my account and I can see how the money is being spent. To date there have been no problems that I know of and the phone calls from my creditors have stopped. I don't like that my credit took a dive but I understand the necessity of it to get me out of debt. Thank you.

I am thrilled with 1st two settlements, but very anxious about AMEX who call everyday. I ignore. I just mailed their last correspondence to Erica, where they are directly offering different length settlements. I very much appreciate the correspondence from JG Wentworth.

They were really helpful especially when sometimes, it gets difficult to understand the process because you're not familiar with a lot of the terminology. I track my progress through a dashboard. They also send me emails and call me as well.

I have been satisfied except it should be EASIER to add debt as I make progress. Current customer treatment needs to be better than NEW customers. Same with many companies. I do not have information on debt I need to add, so I suffer because you can’t repeat “pulling” info for me. Not really happy.

The reps at JG Wentworth were informative about the process. They informed me of the fee for legal representation if needed and kept me advised about all the settlements. Signing and agreeing to all the settlements was easy and in the end, they gave me a wrap up of everything in writing. I sent emails multiple times asking them questions and they always gave me answers. The program worked for me. I knew what the downfalls were and they informed me of it, and I did my own research. They handled it very well. The interest rate ended up being higher than I was quoted, but I'm living with it. That's the only thing that was negative, but everything else was good. JG Wentworth assisted me in restarting myself financially and it was a positive experience. They had good communication. Overall, it's the last resort other than bankruptcy. They did a good job.

Just want more bills paid off. And want to get credit score to come back up… been with the company for 6 months. Want to see more bills paid off sooner. And would like to see if can get a lower monthly payment.

Everybody I've talked to has been very helpful and informative. One of the companies is a credit card company that was taking me to a lawsuit. I called JG Wentworth right away and they got right on it. Everything went really smooth. Also, my credit is starting to build. Everything's looking good.

I was drowning in credit card debt, and happened to see an advertisement about help from JG Wentworth. I called just out of curiosity, and literally within 15 minutes the guy had a plan figured out for me. It hasn’t taken long to get the biggest part of my debt settled, and I’m already starting to rebuild my credit. It’s definitely been a much easier process than I expected.

I have been making monthly payments for FOURTEEN MONTHS to the JGW debt settlement program. I have NOT missed one single payment. Yet, only 1 enrolled account has been settled that entire time and that was at the very beginning when I first started with them. It has been over a year and none of my other accounts have been settled. I NEVER receive updates from JGW about how settlement negotiations are going and I have to call if I want to know anything. The 2 or 3 times I have called to speak with someone in customer service about the status of things, I get the same vague response "We are close to settling the rest of your accounts".

Great and friendly step by step process! It's a great opportunity to get back on track and work on your credit! JG Wentworth gave me this chance! They did the hard work so I could still go about my life and the payments we just right to be able to pay monthly.

Good experience so far, communication has been easy! I’ve called them a couple different times and have even talk to someone after hours before. I really believe they do everything possible to make it easy on their customers. Hope it continues. I’m just in my first year of the process.

I have tried to consolidate my debt and they have been working to consolidate 4 of my accounts. So far 2 of them have been approved and reduced in the past year. I am definitely pleased with what has been done. I am hopeful the other accounts will be satisfied soon.

There has been little communication about what is going on. The information I was provided when I signed up was completely wrong and if I knew it would have taken so long, I would not have signed up. Every time I reach out for an update I get "We are working on it" or "We will notify you when something happens." The lack of communication has been horrible.

Pretty clear from here that I will endure bad credit reports much longer than this promised date for resolution of these debts. You guys are pretty good/very good at conning. Go Dustin **. Talks fast, talks trash.

I can Only say good things about JG Wentworth. People are knowledgeable and I was rescued from credit cards bills that, given the high interest, I would never be able to pay off. JG Wentworth gave my family I financial freedom by compromised total amount and payment arrangement that I can afford. I am only 4 payments away from being finished with my payment arrangement with credit score rising. This has taught me a lesson. Thank you.

The application process at JG Wentworth was all pretty easy. Their reps were nice and helpful, too.

I reached out to JG Wentworth Debt Relief, went back and forth and calculated my expenses. It sounded reasonable to me when I started talking to them. Everybody was cool. The communication was on point. I was indecisive about it and I kept saying I would call them back. I would let them know when I was ready. But my wife just signed up and she wants to back out. They didn't close all the accounts, like they explained it to me. I thought they said they would close them all, but only two closed and the rest of them are in negotiation. But a few mine have been taken care of. There’s still three. I’m steady paying.

It just took a little longer to settle debt with a couple of companies than I originally expected, but there was only one month where I needed some help in between jobs. JG Wentworth was more than willing to accommodate me for whatever monthly payment I can afford. The representatives were straightforward. Everyone was approachable and non-combative. It was easy to contact someone and ask questions. Any time I sent an email inquiring about anything, I usually got a response within that day, and if not, the next day. Working with JG, I have a little more peace of mind that I can consolidate and just make one payment instead of having multiple payments, and then eventually, they're working with creditors for a lower payment.

When speaking with Jarrad on Friday last week I was assured I would get a call back on Monday and the call never came. Since Bank Of America is now sending me a bill for a different amount I am ready to cancel the agreement with them due to this additional billing which is not part of my agreement with them. Also since I did not get a call back from Jarrid I no longer trust him and will refuse to speak with him ever again. If anybody asks what I think of your company I will steer them away from JG Wentworth!

Being in your debt solution program has made a difference in my life. If I have any questions you all answer them and you make it easy to go on the website and look at what is going on with your money and see how you guys use the money. You guys made it sound like it was the best thing I could do. I feel I could’ve done it on my own easier not have ruined my credit and not have spent any more money than what you people are charging, and then to have them go into legal and the lawyers can’t even do anything, I’m just very disappointed.

The progress is slow and I didn't like that I was sent a loan to get a loan. The interest rate was so high and I didn't like that either. But it is what it is. I'm still in the program with JG Wentworth right now though I’m thinking about leaving because I could have done everything the reps were doing. I damaged my credit as far as what I was told to do such as letting everything go to Collections. I could've just made an offer. I could've done better.

I thought it would be a lot easier to go with JG Wentworth but this whole process is taking so long and it's really not helping my credit score. They did offer me something but that never happened. Also, I haven't been able to follow the program that well and check the progress. It's a little confusing and I'm busy a lot. They were trying to ask me to go in and check this and that. But I haven't had a lot of time.

I started this process in August of last year, and was told that all the credit as will be contacted within 3 to 4 months, as of today, some of the creditors are in negotiation. The process is taking too long and and destroyed my credit!!!!

It’s just so hard to keep up with bills and with the inflation and living in LA it all is a hard thing to do! But with JG Wentworth they have helped me in making it a little easier! Less debt is always a good. They definitely have been there for me and helped me every step of the way!!

No Comment, not much to say except that I paid my bills. No one kept in touch, if I wanted my questions answered they were. But nothing to give 5 stars. One of my credits are not followed through with the other one. Somebody serviced my Mother and her home which was not my address. JG Wentworth told me that was legal and could not help me. So they sent me over to a different department to get a loan. And I am still waiting.

I'm one year into a 3-year plan and have 66% of everything already settled. So it appears to me that other than my one-time confusion, which they clearly helped me quickly understand, it has gone exactly as they have led me to believe! Which was my biggest concern in the beginning.

Still several accounts to be settled and trying to sell loan. Would like to settle all accounts. It’s been months. Please finish what I was promised. Why would I let another company take loan before you settle. That defeats the purpose.

I was overwhelmed with credit card debt following a short lay off.. JG Wentworth was great to work with. Paying a fraction of what I was initially, they are fully cooperative with the settlements and the rest is easy peasy. A world of stress off my shoulders!!

JG Wentworth's reps were very helpful and they made everything very easy. The application process took a couple months and the man who was helping me was very nice. He gave me the phone number directly to him, so I could call him or I could text him with any questions I had. They also send you a little link and you can follow everything going on. I'm a disabled senior citizen and with everything that's been happening in the past few years, there's been a lot of stress. I know JG Wentworth can't do anything about COVID, but they took the financial stress off of me. I've also talked to a few people about them and I told them that it was a company that I would recommend. A lot of people seem to be under the impression that JG Wentworth only do the structured settlement. But they do a whole lot more than that and people are really surprised to hear that.

They were good helping me with the whole process of what I wanted and making sure that I got everything taken care of without no hassle. It was super quick. It was a lot faster than what I thought it would be. I had to pay on time monthly payments and once I had that established for six months, then they got me started with someone else. Overall, I'm very satisfied with them.

I tried to call and was left on hold for a long time then given an opportunity to be called back. My call was never returned. I have questions about an offer made by my cc company and can’t talk to anyone.

At the start of this program I clearly stated that if this would ruin our credit? I was told “NO” but recently purchased a new truck and lo and behold I’m lost for words! We’ve been try to contact the same person but can hardly ever been able to speak to her or even some to discuss our situation. For what we been paying for the past 10 months we could have paid off more of our creditors and maintained good credit! I look back now and I’m very upset with myself for letting this happen to Team **; my wife is deeply hurt by all of this! We’re in it now and just have to face the music now! We were also told to get a debt consolidation loan too at 29%!!! But when we tried it wouldn’t work. I wish that this nightmare would hurry up and end; my wife also ordered a new vehicle and we may have to cancel because of interest rates! When I try to go in to see my monthly statement, I can’t. When I call them, most of the time they told, "I’m going to call back." Doesn’t happen, is a lot of thing when I send emails, never receive. They give me the wrong email.

I can't believe negotiations are still lingering. It's been a long time and I just want this over. I truly did not have a concept of how long this would take. I wish someone would tell me the current status without me tracking down someone.

None of my debts are being worked on on my behalf. I’ve inquired about this numerous times and nothing is being done. However, monthly payments are being made to my account when I could be using that monies to pay off the account myself.

My only issue is that customer service does not answer my questions that I send via email. The email indicated that someone will get back to me and no one ever does. Everything else has been great. That is my only complaint.

I’m grateful for this program, but I feel like I was told that by Feb I would be seeing my credit score go up & be able to start building my credit back up. It has been a while & I still think things are not in the program. Meaning there are still CC that are still not in the program.

I accepted the advice and recommendation to move forward with debt settlement by JG Wentworth and was been told I was qualified for the program loan to settle all of my debts. The associate helping was incorrect and eventually was terminated for the error. However, even after this admission JG Wentworth refuses to stand by their advice and has no solutions to rectify my situation. I have completely destroyed my credit rating and JG Wentworth has zero reasonable solutions to solve these newly created issues. They simply admit the mistake and offer to do nothing to rectify the mistake. I have been left on my own while they continue to collect fees for the 2 of 10 debts settled to which I legally bound myself at their incorrect advice.

I had four creditors listed on this consolidation and so far, we’ve settled with two. There's still two others that we need to settle with and it's not moving along. There's nothing happening and it’s kind of frustrating. In the beginning, they were following up and then, there was one time when they told me they would not be following up as often anymore but if I need to reach them, I can. They were pretty upfront with that. I would recommend JG Wentworth. Work with them and they'll work with you.

They take your money. I believe it is a total scam. After 8 months I am getting bombarded with calls and texts for financing my debt. Nothing has happened with my creditors. The only number is an 800 #. No contact info for anyone you talk with. Phone goes to survey after long, long wait. No one answers.

I have called, and emailed with little to no response for months. Every time I call, I am told that the department that I need to speak to will call me back, which never happens. It is frustrating, and ridiculous that no one cares enough to get back to me.

This company is terrific. Helpful associates with very positive personalities. Just wish the process to get the agreements with creditors was quicker. I’m being patient as I realize it takes time but it will be worth the wait in the end.

I am very happy with my decision to hire JG Wentworth to negotiate on my behalf, with the credit card companies. Not only am I saving around 30% on my principal, but also have no worries about rising interest rates, as I’m no longer paying those exorbitant credit card interest fees! In the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, there were usury laws where you couldn’t charge anyone more than 18% for any reason. Now they charge 30% and even 40%, making it impossible to pay off principal. So yes, I’m very happy with Wentworth. I like my deal with them, and the way they are helping me get out of the trap called credit card debt. So I like their business model and the way they execute their strategies. I’m grateful for JGWentworth, and will be out of debt soon!

The program has worked very well and I have roughly another year with JG Wentworth. It's not like it's something that happens instantaneously. They bundle it all together and you make one payment. They negotiate with the different companies a reduced price and they handle it by regulating how the money gets sent to the different companies. I've had a good experience with any individual that I've called and spoken with. They've been very helpful and if they don't have an answer for me right at that moment, I usually receive a text or an email later with the answer. I just received a letter from JG Wentworth letting me know how things are going and that if I needed any more information, to go online to the website that I'm logged into to get any information as far as papers and letters and things that I need. It's all right there.

Initially, I wanted a loan to pay my creditors. JG declined to give me one. They instead proposed a debt relief program and I fell for it. I work NIGHTS and they try to CALL ME during sleeping hours. They kept hounding me many different people - almost incessantly - to get a lender to take over the debt - so apparently try the “risk” is no longer theirs. (And I'm sure their own profit is higher). Saying things like “we can get your credit score improving sooner” and “negotiate better / faster” and “get better deals” - so? If it still costs me the same over the same amount of time, so what? It’s more $$ for Wentworth is all. They kept selling me an idea that “you’ll have your credit restored quicker!”

The last time I talked to the reps at JG Wentworth, they were honest with me and let me know what was going on. They've connected me to a company to do a loan. So, I'm trying to work with the company now. My money is still going with JG Wentworth until everything is settled. Then I'll stop the $700 a month that's going to them and apply it to the other company.

It was very pleasant and easy to talk to the reps. If there's a problem, they answer my questions, and whatever concern I have, they take care of it. I'm not completely finished with the program, but so far, it's going well. I feel comfortable and don't worry about the creditors calling. I would recommend JG Wentworth.

Still in the program and awaiting improvements on negotiating with creditors. Had to follow-up call multiple times a month to ask for status on the Creditor negotiations when I get no answer and a call from them for the balance owed.

I appreciate their services. The only thing I ask is that they explain a little bit more when they're talking to somebody and let the person know that their credit is gonna be messed up when they take this deal. Had I known upfront that my credit was gonna be messed up for seven months, I probably wouldn't have done it. At the time when I did it, I was doing some things and I needed my credit to be high. If they had told me that, I would have held off and waited. And I would have liked for them to get me a loan when my credit was still high instead of waiting for my credit to go down and getting me a loan at a higher interest rate. Also, from the gate, they should get the settlement upfront instead of having somebody pay six months and then get a settlement. But other than that, they did a great job. They saved me some money and I recommend it to anybody that needs some help like that.

I am satisfied so far regarding my experience so far with J.G. Wentworth. I have never consolidated credit card debts before. Fortunately, my questions have been answered whenever I've asked. I do receive offers from other debt consolidation services and directly from the credit card companies, but I don't trust them. Therefore, I'm reluctant to even respond. I'm in this debt situation, because I helped a housemate/friend during the pandemic who lost all income and became chronically ill. He is recovering, but slowly and will not be able to pay me back in the near future, although he wants to. We remain friends. He has returned to live with his father and brother. Thank you for helping me manage this difficult situation.

It’s been a nerve wracking first year but I’ve very satisfied with all the communications so far. I have learned to live within my means and cannot wait to be debt free. It’s been a very humbling experience for me.

It’s been a very great experience having JG manage my Settlement. It’s been a horrible travail dealing with the debt largely due to an authorized user who ran up the debt on at least three or more of these accounts. JG really took away the burden of having to negotiate on my own or having to my the minimum payment which I could not afford due to the interest. The sense of ease and relief I have is remarkable and it was a great decision contacting JG.

I recently had a accident that stopped my working for a month. I called and asked to stop my payments for a month. The representative was very kind and helpful. I am back to work now, and very happy with my interactions with JG Wentworth!

I’m pretty dissatisfied at the moment. It’s been about 9 months and 3/4 of the accounts settled. However, the last account is suing me and I was told I would be protected from that. Yet here we are and I can’t get any answers. Just told to call the law firm that never answers.

I wish I had never worked with JG. It has be now over 7 months and only have 1 settlement and have not even started working with other creditors. My score is lowest it has ever been. I should have worked with my creditors on my own.

I still have accounts not closed and when I signed up they didn’t tell me some of the accounts are not eligible. I really wish the communication was a lot better. I have had summons come to my door which was nerveracking enough.

This is a great service to use especially if you have a lot of credit cards like me. I called JG Wentworth and they went right to work to help me consolidate my cards. It's been a year and they settled with half of the credit card companies already. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I liked JG Wentworth's trustworthy name. When I reached out to do the application, my experience was very insightful. Whoever I was speaking to had a lot of unbiased views on what to do and felt very knowledgeable. The program worked great. Everything that I was told was going to happen, pretty much did, and I feel like it's going a lot quicker than I had planned for it to. I'd tell others if they were in the same predicament as me, JG Wentworth is their best option.

The reps from JG Wentworth were nice and very informative. At first, I was a little bit confused of the whole process, but I just asked them to explain it again, and then it made more sense. They would go through stuff fairly quickly but I would go, "Hold on, can you explain this?" I'm still working through the program. It's been a bit stressful. I was just talking to them this morning. One of the ones I had debt with is filing illegally. So, it's become a lawsuit. JG Wentworth has a law firm that they use, that I sent the paperwork to, and then they're supposed to reach out here in the next 24 to 48 hours. I wish it would go faster, but it's just the time frame. It's nothing anybody can really change.

So far is been good. But I worry about the time left to pay all the accounts. I not sure on what month should be the last payment. Is the time left from now basically March 2023 to....2024 and only 2 account are under contract. My question is will all account be payoff on time,.

I did a debt settlement with them and the process was fairly easy. The monthly payment was reasonable. The only issue is that their fees are very high. I was able to make a $40k lump sum and when I did the math. I paid a total of $78k of payments and they end up settled around $53k but the settlement fees were 23K. That's a big difference. That's not even taking into consideration that you will be receiving 1099's from all your credit cards in the amount of the write off amount and that has to be filed as income in your taxes.
