I want to give a shout out to Chelsea ** at Jackson Hewitt for helping my wife and I file our taxes. I've been going since 2020 to Jackson Hewitt and I'm always pleased with my return. Chelsea is very knowledgeable and if she can't quite figure it out she has a wonderful team she can reach out to for the answer. Thanks again Chelsea and the Jackson Hewitt team for all your work on our taxes and everyone else who comes to the Silverdale Jackson Hewitt branch.

Scam! Don't use. $800 to do my taxes then didn't even get the loan on the same day! Not worth it. Honestly cheaper to use TurboTax and just wait a few extra days honestly. First year and last year. Never again.

They have changed banks and have gotten strict on loan process which is ridiculous. When I usually always get approved for years with them they say you can get it minimum for loan requirements is getting at least 10,000 back. I'm getting 11,000 back. They also went up on fees. Over $700 to file one w2. I'm prob going elsewhere as of next year and their bank does a soft credit pull too which is bs because they get our refund first before us.

Guy was friendly and did my taxes. Get to the price and I was blown away. I will never go back to Jackson Hewitt. Over 800$ just for adding a 1099 which does do anything for me. But being honest they wanna charge you more. Highway robbery. Never ever again will I be going back or would ever refer someone there.

The Jackson Hewitt at 159-03 Hillside Avenue Jamaica Queens New York is great and underrated. I have been going to them for 3 years with no complaints. I will continue to go to them for my taxes and tax advice.

Mike at the Murrieta, Ca. Location was awesome. Very quick, answered all our silly questions, and made our experience actually pleasant. Looking forward to going back next year 😅. If you go there, ask for Mike.

Shanda is very helpful and friendly. Would recommend her to anyone. She goes above and beyond to help you do your taxes. She very knowledgeable in what she doing and if she doesn't know she'll find someone to help.

Don’t waste your time trying to get your taxes done with these people. The so called “tax expert“ never showed up to our appointment. I contacted customer service to see if they could help me with my issue and the “representative“ (Erika) hung up on me while I was trying to explain my problem. What a trash company!

Getting taxes done was great. Wanted the $3500 advance, got $10,000 back on taxes. Only gave me 750 advance for no reason. Will never be using them again. You have to pay for the advance, and what they gave me is not worth it at all. Will be going to H&R Block from now on, where they give you $4,000 for no interest on the money. Been going to Jackson Hewitt for over 10 years, not that they care, but I will not be going back.

The lady at Jackson Hewitt said we were guaranteed $500 in a cash refund and it got disapproved. When I called Jackson Hewitt they gave me the typical response of "unfortunately we can't do anything about it". I wanted the $301 taken off because the lady lied to us.

Got behind on filing my taxes, went to Jill at Grove Walmart and she prepared my 2024 taxes for me. She was fast, friendly and very helpful and got my appt for this year. Whew, all the stress is gone.

I am client of Jackson Hewitt (Sulphur Ok.) I used H&R Block for years, but then I got a letter from the IRS in 2024 that said I had not filed since 2016. When I went to H&R with this letter, my copies of my tax returns and my receipts for my paid in full filing fees for every single year I was told by the local off and then by the corporate office to "Deal with it". When I went to Jackson Hewitt to ask their advice about the pickle I was now in, They saved me from financial ruin and possible legal trouble. I highly recommend Jackson Hewitt to everyone. I also highly recommend the DEBRANDING of h&r block.

The only reason I went there was to get the early tax refund. I was not approved and got charged almost $800 for one simple tax return. I could have done them myself for free and got my return in the same amount of time.

The only reason I’m giving it a three is because of Keith the guy who prepped my taxes. Other than that I would say that Jackson Hewitt are scammers and crooks and take advantage of people who are in need of their money. I will try to make this as short as I can. I haven’t been able to work for a couple months so when I seen the advertisement that you could get money before you filed your taxes. I was all in. Now mind you I usually do my own taxes every year and pay nothing so I go in. I take keep my last pay stubs and I was reading the signs that said if you get over, I think $5000 or something it said you could get up to $1500. I was ecstatic. My bills be paid. Christmas is coming and what not.

Jackson Hewitt is a complete Scam & Joke. I went to apply for a Holiday loan along with a few family members, we were all denied! After a few days, we all received a identical letter stating the exact thing for all of us. We were scammed and I will never refer anyone to them ever again!!!!!

The Jackson Hewitt in Calumet Walmart messed up my taxes. They were really rude. This was a while back. The worst experience I've ever had. Manager was a real ** on the phone too, told me I could do anything about and go ahead and report me

They did my taxes for fed and 2 states. NY came back and said I owed over $5000. I tried contacting JH for 2 weeks and they gave me the runaround. Finally someone responded after I sent the same paperwork I sent to others before. She started asking me about getting letters, forms with numbers on, and other tax stuff that only preparers would know what it was. I told her to get someone that understands taxes and she got made saying she knows everything, never heard back from her since. They are very expensive and expect to spend over $300-$500.

Mrs. ** at the Jackson Hewitt in Walmart North helped me so good today and made my day. Great customer service and very considerate person and caring person. She took her time and walk me through the process.

Miss Jeannie ** has been nothing but helpful!! A real professional. Took the time to explain everything I had questions about and made me feel like someone truly cared. Will absolutely be a repeat customer and referring others.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I thought taxes were scary… then I met Haven. She’s like a GPS for refunds: recalculates when I panic, avoids all my “oops” deductions, and somehow still gets me money back. Genius + hilarious. 😂💵

Don't do it!! I repeat, do not do it. I normally take advantage of the mobile TurboTax app you can do on your phone (which is dirt cheap) but I am really hurting on money, so I decided to get an advance. Not only was the lady extremely vague on the process, she said nothing about my advance or how to set shit up, she merely said it's all in the paperwork and sent me on my way because she had another customer. I looked through the paperwork and it stated I was approved for the $1,500, but I only received $300, and they are charging me $709 from my refund for a mere $300. I was totally scammed.

I had an appointment for Jackson Hewitt in Jacksonville, FL at 6 o'clock on 12/8/2025. I went in to a 2 hr wait anyway just to be told by the preparer Ann ** that she was too tired and hungry to assist me on my questions about filing my dependent. I also left work to be there and was tired myself, the appointment was made weeks prior and clearly they overbooked, which I understand, but this is your job and I was cheated out of my appointment. I was contacted 2 days later asking why I missed my appointment (which I clearly didn't) and when I was explaining my experience, I was just rushed off the phone with the complaint falling on deaf ears. I had tried JH once before living in NC, and it was very satisfying.

Ms. Teresa is the best! She always get me in and out. Great customer service!!!! She is the reason I return every year!!!! She is very professional and organized. Big thank you to her. Love her attitude.

I was lured in to JH by the small price advertised in the window. It was not the case. My wife and I walk in to the Belton MO office and are dealing with a Ms. **. All chatty but doesn't know anything about taxes as she is calling her supervisor for information. Her supervisor is driving down a road and has to pull over and get on her laptop (first red flag). Taxes are filed and a amendment is made for the MO state taxes. This is done in March 2025. In June 2025 I get a notice from MO state saying my taxes are wrong and I need to pay more money including a fine. The fine is 141.00 dollars. I go ahead and pay the extra and then proceed to contact JH because they advertise they will stand behind their work. I went to the main office in my area (Overland Park KS) which is an hour drive one way from where I live. This is the only one open during the summer months.

I booked an appointment online for this location on 8/1/2025 at 11 am. I just knew I was going to be able to take care of my dire financial situation that had been like a thorn in my side. I thought I knew this because clearly online it says they are open on the above date, congruent with the time. However, upon my arrival, I was horrifically stunned as it was closed and dark. Trying to dissect or analyze the situation to the point where it wasn't a lost trip and lost time, and money being that I took off from work on our busiest day of the week (tips are daily at least 30 percent of my pay on average days) I tried to keep this bold show of unprofessional practice under wraps and in-house by approaching the business next door neighbor which is a barbershop.

Advertised simple tax filing for about $59. Simple tax form to file with only added interest form (which we were told is why it didn’t meet the $59 price) so the final cost for filing was $400!! That’s false advertising!

I've used a personal accountant and H&R in the past...But this experience was hideous. I didn't want to go to Indiana to my previous accountant, it was just too much as a disabled widow. So I called JH, my first contact was fine, a personable gentleman. I have my appointment at the end of April, I take all of my tedious tax info into the office....I get.. "We're sorry we don't sit down with the client and go through their taxes, it will take a few days, and we'll call you." WHAT! "You'll have to file an extension, because we have no appointments available." EXCUSE ME! Mind you, I'm already stressed because my husband used to do all this....So I pay for this extension, and make another appointment at the Dayton Mall location.

Use the Jackson Hewitt Lansing Michigan office at your own risk. I brought in my paperwork for a trust return in late February. By April 4th I had not heard from them and called to see when they would be done or if an extension had been filed. SHARON of the Lansing office said she wasn't sure if an extension had been filed but would check with her boss and call me back. She never did. I called again on 5/13/25, 5/14/25, 5/19/25 & 5/29/25. I didn't get a call back until I filed a fraud complaint with their corporate office. SHARON then lied and said the extension had been filed and the return was completed and provided to me. I just got a letter from the IRS that I owe money for late filing. Though SHARON likes to brag about her years of experience and customer service, that too is a lie.

I don't think there are words to explain how mad Iam with this whole experience they did are taxes and messed up on are children ss cards and it was rejected and they didn't give us are money back. Was told that they would have done gave us back are money but at their main office. So we went to resolve the issue and while there I went out front with my son. It was his birthday and all a sudden a cop car pulls up saying someone called and said I shaked my baby and then 7 cop cars came and on my son's birthday were deciding if they we're going to take my son reviewing the cameras and to find out the lady who was supposed to fix are taxes called and then said she wasn't going to finish and they had to have someone else do our taxes to the Police.

This is the worse tax preparation company I’ve ever encounter!! Very slow to complete taxes, missing forms, still no tax refund money due to their errors. Rashon and Seth are the worse. This place has gone down tremendously!! Have been going to this place for years. Ernie in Livonia was the best preparer. Never made an error!! Unfortunately Ernie died and I thought the quality was still there!! NO NO No! Bad!! Never again! And I’m going to tell everyone I know and colleagues at work to avoid Jackson-Hewitt.

I have had the WORSE experience with a tax refund with Jackson Hewitt. They not only messed up doing my taxes the first time and didn't tell me until I asked. They also charged me again to re-do them. They have promised a refund for the first transactions and I haven't seen it yet. It's been 3 months and no refund. I left message with no response back. Never going back to them again. Going to do a report with BBB. Not recommended.

Their employee was completely incompetent and made a costly mistake on our return, costing us thousands of dollars. Their customer service is atrocious! They are ridiculously overpriced! One of the most horrible experiences of my life!

Our tax preparer was terrible. Was speaking on her cell phone during most of our appointment. Did our state taxes incorrectly and when I brought it to her attention she made a call to someone else who told her they never heard of it either. Not only was I forced to pay the short fall on my state taxes I lost out on over $1,500.00 in refund. I called the office today and spoke with a nice gentleman who offered to file a amended return for us. All we have to do is take off work, again, and drive 1 hr to his office to sign it. I tried to get in touch with the GM of our district but she is only in her office 1 day a week. So for $250.00 I got screwed and can't get a hold of anyone who can make a decision, and I have to lose more time and money so they can fix there mistake. Worst decision I ever made, will be doing them myself from now on.

Took my taxes there three weeks ago. Taxes are going to be late filed even with the Florida extension. As of this writing, I still have not got word on the status of my taxes. This is my first time using this JH service and will never again! Highly disappointed!

Jackson Hewitt is a rip off. I paid them outrageous for them to say I have to track my own refund and they can't even do their job right. They have my wife as tax payer, and I was!! So I'm gonna track my own refund and take what they messed up to the IRS and show them that they were incompetent with filing my taxes. Then I'm gonna contact a lawyer only giving one star cause of course they make you.

Most dissatisfied. They made no efforts to call me back with the answers to my questions, I had to follow up 2-3 times, and they still never answered my question on remote signing or on the error on the tax return. They had no interest in addressing my concern with an error on my Schedule C. Used Gaslighting to dodge addressing my question; the manager Cathy called me but was unprepared and had no answers, only postponed the issue until she would talk to the tax preparer Dan, and call me back. She never called me back with the answer.

Found out 3 important things we left off by our taxes person we normally go to. We paid more and at first didn't mind. But part of our refund took longer than usually does. Something we were told we didn't have to pay back. We did and it was taking out of original amount. Finally getting it back. But with how long it took, the price having it done and finding out have to pay that amount back. We won't be going back.

Debbie ** is an amazing tax preparer. I have been coming to the 21st Jackson Hewitt for a few years and she always does my taxes. She is very kind and courteous and very professional. I look forward to going in every year. She always explains things in a way that it is easy to understand. 😁

My name is James **. I got audited (2023) which held up my 2024 taxes. Mind you we pay a pretty penny to get taxes done at Jackson Hewitt. Anyhow when I went to them for help.. I gave the manager Tessie and her daughter heather (Bayou Vista, location) my info.. They claimed they might have lost it or shredded by mistake.. Mind you I gave them this December 16th of 2024.. So now they made my take care of business on my own and guess what still nothing as of now.. NEVER GOING BACK

The tax preparer was inept, incompetent, he had to keep checking with a supervisor because him didn’t know what he was doing. Took him a very long time to complete my taxes. Had trouble communicating with him because his English was so bad. Lastly way overpriced.

I used Jackson Hewitt last year in Middletown Ohio on Marie Drive...It was kind of Pricey and couldn't find the time to make it there so I used their online site...Which was wanting my AGI from Last Year, that I didn't have access to at the time...I stopped in the Office and was Shunned by the Tax Preparers saying "We have nothing to do with Online".

I went to the Manville office (#18869) of Jackson Hewitt for the 1st time and was so thoroughly impressed, I am absolutely telling everyone about it! My preparers were Wei ** and Ann **. My taxes were a bit complicated this year because I was starting a business. They made sure that everything was thoroughly vetted and got me the most for my return. Not only were they completely professional, they were wonderful human beings who made me feel beyond comfortable with the process. I will be back next year! Office is moving to Warren, so find them there!

I do not recommend this place. They charge way too much money and screwed up our taxes. And when you call to complain all they care about is getting their money not about you. I highly recommend people use somewhere else.

I was overcharged. Gentleman showed me how much it was going to cost. I verified the amount with him. My paperwork stated a much higher amount was being taken from my refund. He was busy talking about what was going on around him and he jacked up the price without telling me.

I made a appointment at the Jackson Hewitt in Blaine Minnesota. I arrived 15 minutes early and waited 45 minutes for the previous customer. After waiting, I was told there was another customer ahead of me and she wouldn't have time to help me. Why do they make us make an appointment if they are not going to honor the appointment? Go to anyone else and don't go to Jackson Hewitt!

Todd (Decatur TX) was absolutely fantastic. Straight forward which I greatly appreciate. He listened to my concerns/issues, addressed them accordingly and took the appropriate action. He also used his resources extremely well to get the correct information and not speculate. I had a lot of lost information from the last 6 years of not filing. He guided me on what I needed to do and who to reach out to so I could retrieve everything he needed to complete the filing process for the last 6 years. He was also very organized and efficient. I actually started to work with one of those tax help places but I had a bad feeling about it. Their cost was nearly $3000,00 and they speculated I would owe around 18k. With the help of Todd and Jackson Hewitt, I ended up with a 7k refund.

I had an amazing experience at the Troy Missouri location. Sandy and David are very helpful and answered all my questions. Yes I had many. Even after all these years it is like family. Thank you for taking care of us for so many years.

Rude and overpriced. Owner horrible to me. I decided not to use them after they gave me fees at the end of sitting there forever. Would not return my papers. Stole them basically. They plug in numbers on a computer. Not rocket science!

Today I went filed my taxes at a Jackson Hewitt. Joan at the Walmart location was my was tax person. She was rude from the start. She basically called me a scammer without using those words. I have a 1099 and a W2. She put my 1099 information in without adding my expenses. Which made the numbers off. Instead of to fix the problem. She called her supervisor (Stephanie) to let her know what the issue was and that she has to leave to get her son and relief hasn't showed up. Stephanie told her void my filing and whenever the next person come he can start over. I have been preparing my taxes with you guys since 1998. After how I was mistreated. You don't have to worry about me coming there for service.

Years ago while searching for a tax professional someone suggested Jackson Hewitt Tax Services, so I stopped by the office located on Pass Rd. Now 10 years later I have been coming to Victoria for a professional tax preparer and I would highly recommend her to anyone! She is knowledgeable, very polite, efficient, and very fast! Her receptionist, Angela, is very kind and patient! You NEED a tax professional come see Victoria, she will complete your tax services that’s needed.

Hanna was knowledgeable, patient and very helpful. She took the time to explain any questions I had and made sure I understood every step along the way. I could not be more pleased with her abilities to navigate the tax system.

Dear Jackson Hewitt Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received at your location. I entrusted your team with my 2024 tax preparation and paid for professional assistance, only to be left incredibly disappointed and financially burdened due to multiple errors and lack of communication. After paying for the service, I was not kept informed throughout the process. I only heard back after my return was rejected three times. I was told I needed to provide documentation for my insurance, which I did—but the issue still was not resolved. After a week of no communication, I called the office myself and was told my return had once again not been processed. I was understandably upset.

Staff was very accommodating and patient. We appreciate the advice that was provided by the consultant. We are returning customers for the past 3 years. Setting an appointment was very convenient online.

Went to get my taxes done and the guy wanted me to know upfront how expensive it was. The preparer didn't once look at any of my tax papers, just came up with a price. I got up and left and tried to call me back 3 times.

I went to Walmart on 172nd in Arlington WA. I had the COMPLETE AWESOME EXPERIENCE with the woman doing my taxes. Her name is KATHY.! She helped me understand a lot of things I was not aware about. JACKSON HEWITT is BLESSED to have someone so knowledgeable and personable. I will be returning and recommending her to everyone! THANK YOU MISS KATHY!

The person who did our taxes did a good job, but it was never disclosed that it would cost us $550.00 for their service. If they had given us that information we would have gone another route to get our taxes done. We went to H & R Block last year and we paid about $175.00 for their service. Charging people $550.00 is a bit ridiculous. Not happy!!

They was a big help of taxing my taxes and I am thankful and the customer service is great and they are fast at doing your taxes on time so come to Jackson Hewitt and cash in your taxes and you won't be disappointed.

We were audited for our 2024 tax return almost immediately, and when we told Jackson Hewitt, they said since the refund hadn't come back, we had to pay a $500 fee up front to qualify for the worry free guarantee! I told them we signed up for that when we filed, but they told us it doesn't start covering us until the fee is paid, usually by the return itself. So they're holding our IRS audit and won't work to resolve it unless we go and pay them $500 up front, and only then will they begin work on the mistakes THEY made! We will never use them again.

Kimberly at Walmart was really helpful, everything was fast and easy and she answered all my questions!!! Will definitely continue to use Jackson Hewitt for all my tax purposes. I've used Jackson before and I appreciate how convenient the service always is.

This is my first visit to Jackson Hewitt at the Eastover location. Anne is very professional, knowledgeable, makes you feel at ease, and is a great conversationalist. I plan to continue to use her services each tax season because I was extremely comfortable with her preparing my tax return. Anne has the experience in her position to make the customer feel comfortable during the tax preparation. She also asks excellent questions for clarity of the forms presented to her. I will request Anne for my future visits at the Eastover location.

Terrible…Sticker SHOCK!!! Went there because of their $48 advertisement. I'm retired and on a fixed income. Dropped my taxes off on Sunday and got a text on Monday to pick up. Went on Monday to pick up and was told it would be $150 and I told the lady it was supposed to be $48 and she told me the sale ended Sunday and she rudely told me it was too bad…I went home and call their customer service and requested a call back which NEVER arrived. Very disappointed with their service to say the least..Will never go there again!

I went to JH with the best of intentions...They are in the business of rip offs and it begins as soon you walk through the door, you can almost feel it, unpro staff, cheap tawdry individuals pretending to be trustworthy knowledgeable tax pros...NOT! They don't even know their own discount promos and will not mention them if you don't. Beware of JH! I couldn't get my taxes done in one visit, was asked to leave a deposit of 300, I left 400, found a better deal, asked for my deposit back or part of it, No go, they are trying to keep all 400 for 40 mins worth of nothing...Small claims here we come! I scheduled my mom's tax preparation with Jackson Hewitt on Tuesday March 4, 2025 online for the location Kernersville, N.C.. My wife sat with my 92 year old mom while the tax preparation was happening. My mom had all the necessary things needed for the preparation. She also had a 25% off code for the preparation which she qualified for. The preparer had to talk with her boss on the phone several times. Upon completion she was told the cost was $317.00. She paid the amount. A day or so later she received a call requesting another 118.00 saying that they didn’t charge her enough. My mom was upset so she authorized the extra amount to Jackson Hewitt.

The preparer was pleasant enough but $576 is too steep for a straight 1040 filing. I will never go back or recommend to anyone. Before my CPA retired, he charged $120 for the same service. He also sent regular updates regarding any tax law changes.

January 24, 2025 I filed my taxes with Keith (don't know last name), an agent at the Apex N.C location. I waited 2 months only to find out when I called the IRS directly they said I needed to file an amended refund because I was missing a w2 from a previous employer that I wasn't aware of, until it came in the mail. So anyway Wednesday March 2nd 2025, I reached out to Jackson Hewitt in Apex NC. To see if I needed to do anything with them Keith then stated that he where I was missing a w2 form and needed to come in and re-file. I told Keith I was under the weather and was there any other way I could send him the w2 form, he then stated yes and sent me a link to my to send it. I sent the w2 form Wednesday March 2nd. He called me yesterday, I missed the call because I was working. So I called him back today because by the time I got off they were closed.

Nickie ** was amazing at her work. She's polite and make you feel comfortable talking to her. l'd recommend anyone to use Jackson Hewitt because their customer service is amazing!! God job Nickie **. I appreciate your work.

People in the office change every year. This year it took over 2 weeks. The office got the flu. I had to go back in twice. Today is April 1st. I like getting things done. No phone calls. I understand it's busy that's why I took it in 2 weeks before April. So I went in today. Once we got going came together quick done deal. Mt. Vernon Washington state Riverside Drive.

Three trips to get a correct filing! First trip, wrong figures used. Second trip, corrections made but received erroneous refund. Third trip, agent could not fix erroneous refund issue—We had to make telephone calls to bank and IRS. What exactly did we pay for? Where do the agents get trained? What a waste of time and money! Never ever again.

I wished that I had read reviews before getting my taxes done here. I only had them done there because H&R Block kept messing up my city taxes the last couple years and now I believe Jackson Hewitt did too. It seems like the tax repairer had no experience on doing taxes. Instead of filing my city taxes where I live they want me to send a tax return to RITA in another city. I’m not filing taxes with them in 2025.

I’ve been going here for over 20 years. I scheduled an appointment as I do every year. When I went to the appointment, I was told it was not scheduled. I showed them the confirmation but was told I need to need make another appointment or come another day as a walk-in. I asked for my regular tax person and was told she was at another location so I asked if I could schedule with her. I was told I needed to do it. She was very rude so I asked her for her name and she stated she didn’t need to give it to me, that I needed to leave or she was going to call the police. The whole time she was on a person call, because whoever she was on the phone with she was asking when they would be bring her lunch.

Stay away at all costs! I have used their service in Maplewood MN. This year, Marilyn ** charged my son $525(!) for a simple return with one W-2, unemployment form and college tuition form. I informed her prior that I would be filing as a head of household claiming my son as my dependent, and she disregarded our prior agreement, went ahead and filed for my son as single without checking the box that he is a dependent on my taxes. My son felt that he paid for both of us.

They tell you one price and then charge you another. I even asked before I made the appointment and the guy told me no more than a certain price and it turned out to be double. Never again. It’s a total scam of a place.

This will be the last time that I go with Jackson Hewitt. Every year they have a novice person who makes mistakes on my taxes. Their training must be abysmal for them to continue to make these mistake.

I needed a new CPA or tax filing resource to help me with my taxes this year as the CPA who did my returns last year is no longer in business. I was looking for alternatives and noticed that Jackson Hewitt would do it for only $149 for new customers. They have boldly announced "NO HIDDEN FEES". I was skeptical about the pricing but they assured me that it is accurate. I submitted my paperwork in one of the stores, the next day I got a call that they would not honor the price and that I should go to another store. When I called the other store, they told me that they would not honor the price as it would mean giving me a discount of $550. When I went to collect my paperwork from the first store, she informed me the store in the local Walmart would honor the price. When I called this 3rd store, she agreed to do it for $149. After dropping off the paperwork, she called me to inform me that her boss declined to honor the price.

I'm impressed with the friendly staff and their professional demeanor. I was able to complete everything today and the only reason it took as long as it did was because I forgot things and had to go home twice! They were very kind and understanding. Thank you!

Beware when you file on your own. You need to understand how taxes work because the software does not really help. For example, the tax software does not account for all of the non-taxable income for the MI Property Homestead Tax credit. You would need to make your own manual adjustment.

Myself and my spouse went to the location in Rowlett TX, super Walmart. And the lady was so unfriendly, rude and unwelcoming. I really don’t like calling to complain about someone but it was that bad I had to call the manager to complain. My wife is a registered nurse and she’s one the sweetest person and for her to feel uncomfortable and disappointed with the situation is heartbreaking.

We estimated our taxes at home and realized we were probably going to have to pay in, so we went to JH, like we did last year, hoping it would benefit us somehow. We were wrong. We ended up paying over $300 to have them tell us we owe $200. We should have known better and stayed at home. I’m not saying what app we used at home because I don’t want anyone thinking this is a fake review. My wife was crying as we left. What a rip off this stuff is! And the whole, “we charge $579, but I gave you a $300 discount “ line is so cringy. What a con. And they charge a $55 bank transfer fee. Like what? Why? I will not be using JH again. Ever. I’ll do them at home for free. The results are the same.

I had an appointment with Jackson Hewitt this morning. No one showed up. Then I went to another office in my area. I was trying to figure out how much federal taxes to take out. I didn’t get the help I needed. I paid 309.00.

This was a horrible place. Bad attitude at 100% Advertise $149.00 for new client then tell me it's going to be $400.00. The inside of the building was dirty and uninviting. I will never step foot in another one of these businesses. If I could rate it 0 stars, that would still be too high of a rating.

I have used Jackson Hewitt for 3-4 years now. They are very accommodating when you need to change an appointment. They are all very nice. I had Cole and he was wonderful. This whole idea is a rip off! My preparer (Crystal) did not know what she was doing! She made me feel very uncomfortable with her lack of knowledge. I was charged 183 dollars for a simple return! Do not go to them at Walmart!

We have been using the Jackson Hewitt Walmart location for 8 years. Ms. ** is professional, knowledgeable and has a sense of humor. We continue to use her services each tax season because we trust her. No problems with our tax returns. This year, we had an incident which shows how thoughtful and professional Denise is. We purchased some items from Walmart, placing our tax packet in the buggy. After placing our items in the car, we headed out...left the tax packet in the buggy! Yes, what a nightmare; it wasn't in the buggy when we returned to the parking lot. After conferring with Ms. ** and the customer service we waited. It wasn't long Ms. ** called and said a lady turned our packet into her. What a relief! This is one of many reasons we continue having our taxes completed by Ms. **. (her office gets smaller every year. She deserves more than a 4'x4' space.)

It was my 1st time getting my taxes done at Jackson Hewitt and I’ll continue to use them in the coming years. Angelica did my taxes at the Gulfport branch in Florida. She was great! Very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. She made everything easy and smooth. I definitely recommend her to do your taxes!

I have a capital loss to roll over on my taxes. I contacted Jackson Hewitt (JH) multiple times about the matter but no one I spoke with could help me. Finally I was advised to see their company specialist on "complex returns." I made an appointment and waited FOUR WEEKS to meet with this individual. On the day of my appointment, I arrived early. I waited over an hour until the specialist was done with the prior client. Flag one -- disregard for client's time. While sitting in the waiting room, I heard that client lament that JH had made mistakes on the client's past year tax return and that as a result the IRS had contacted the client to demand the payment of fees and penalties. The Jackson Hewitt team (the agent I was supposed to meet and another agent nearby in the same office) never apologized. Instead, they brushed off the client's concerns as another agent's problem. Flag two -- deflecting responsibility.

Only reason 1 star is because it was easy to schedule appointment online. Showed up for appointment and had to wait 30 minutes for agent to finish up. Next, was never told of fees until end. Cost over $200! I can do them myself, for FREE! Only reason I went to JH was for Advanced Refund. Which I ended up not getting. Filed Feb 5th. Still waiting for refund. IRS site gives me an expected deposit date of 3/19, but JH claims they haven't received a date. So so much for the 5 days sooner bull. Will NEVER use them again!!!

Terrible. Uneducated and deceiving. I'm a new customer and I will never ever allow them to handle my taxes after this year. I have never been so infuriated and frustrated. Their customer support was no help at all either. Hire better employees.

Went to 1 location and it took almost 2 hours...simple return with a supplemental income and loss that I filled out. Make as appointment to pick up the following week. Was called the day before telling us "she couldn't figure it out and we had to go to a different location. We got there and nothing was completed so we waited another 1:45 for her to do it. Got it home and there was a mistake. She omitted a line in the schedule E. Made another appointment a mouth out. And even called that week to make sure the amendment was filled out so all I had to do was check it.... Here I sit already an hour 45 and she still isn't finished. On top of that there is only 1 person in the office (during tax season) all 3 times. I will not be coming back to JH next year. Also $700 was too much to pay for a fairly simple return

Terribly high pricing. 479 for the basic service. Highway robbery!!!! The lady was very kind and courteous but after a few clicks on the keyboard and 45 minutes later my bill was 479 bucks. That's absolutely ridiculous. I was robbed.

Y’all have taken well over three times the amount of time that H&R Block would take. I’ve been waiting 40 days you do this on purpose so people will take the fast return for less money. This is my first time ever using Jackson Hewitt. They post a offer for new clients that you will only pay $49 to do your federal taxes. This they do not honor, it is a ad they posted to simply draw new clients in. I as a new client paid $275, instead of having the IRS send your refund directly to you they have it sent to their bank and then charge you a extremely high fee to then transfer your money from their bank to yours, what a scam, all of my years filing my taxes with tax services my IRS check came directly to me. They call the $275 is a assisted refund fee so according to their so called $49 fee they charged me $220 over that advertisement and refuses to give me a refund. I will never use these people again and I will continue to push people away from them. I don't even give them a one star rating. They charged me more this one time than it has costed me the last three years together. I hope everyone reads this

I scheduled an appointment with them, then they sent me at least three reminders by text, which I confirmed. Then got to my appointment on time and nobody was there. I waited about 20 minutes, and nobody showed. I left a text and called and left a voicemail. Never heard back from them. They're very unprofessional, rude, and wasted my time. Customers please go elsewhere. You may be sorry if you don't.

Their prices are way expensive for filing only one w2. I don't even own a business or have any sidre jobs. I was quoted 569 dollars as a new customer. In addition I was there for over 2 hours while the tax expert was preparing my taxes.

I have been with Jackson Hewitt for a years. I have never been given a discount or any deals. They charge $200 for simple W2 taxes that I can do on Turbo Tax for free. I would not recommend them. Go somewhere else or get their new comers deal and the year after go somewhere else coz they don't care about loyalty.

Made an appointment over the phone and was lured in on the promise of a promotion they currently run for $49 for tax filings. Once I arrived there at the appointment I have asked numerous times both in the office and beforehand over the phone if as a first time customer with them I would be eligible for that promotion and he assured me over and over saying yes I am and that all I would have to pay is that $49. So I got to my appointment and the guy behind the desk seemed to have somewhat of a language barrier, every other question we asked him he either didn't seem to understand or just couldn't answer even basic tax questions so he wasn't even that knowledgeable.

I filed my taxes at a office. I did have multiple w2's and a child tax credit, but I was there an hr and a half tops and most of that was spent waiting in the lobby while she finished with another client. They charged me 800 to do my taxes! I shouldn't have signed at the end, so it's partly my fault. 800 though? That's crazy.

Jackson Hewitt charged me $484 as their service chargefor my Robinhood shares, even though I made no profit from them. My husband and I filed a joint tax return at their Cayce, Columbia branch in February 2025. According to our W-2 statements, we were supposed to receive a $4,000 refund (federal and state combined), but Jackson Hewitt claimed we would only get $2,400. Meanwhile, my colleagues with similar tax situations received their full refund amounts as stated on their W-2s. When I contacted Jackson Hewitt, they had no explanation or justification. We both are an International student and our earning is very limited, the person took advantage of this. They scammed us.

I will never file my taxes here ever again. They have messed up my taxes I filed back in January with them and still haven't got my taxes back in. Keep getting letters from the IRS about verification of Identity. This is the second letter I got in the mail from the IRS. I am struggling right now and really need my taxes so I can pay my bills. Never will you guys again for taxes!!!!

Mrs. ** was exceptionally helpful to me. Coming here was the best thing that happened to me all day and with her help I am happy man. This is the first time I use Jackson Hewitt to do my taxes. It is going to be my last time to use them for service. I am looking at the other reviews and I am surprised to see what some people say. Do they pay people to write reviews, or friends writing them. Comparing to what I have been paying for my CPA to do my taxes and the refund I was getting, Jackson Hewitt is a rip-off compared to that. My taxes were simple and I had everything added and all what they had to do is to copy the numbers. They still charged me $400. I guess no one is watching what the tax preparers are doing and ripping people off. Like I said this is first time and last time.

So I have again spent more than $400 on a $1,000 refund that I should have done myself but I had hoped to get the RAL which I did not I filed the 4th of Jan and just now got my refund but due to the mess of a company that SERVE is, which is the Mastercard the refund comes on I still am waiting. I have to now wait yet another five business days for a transfer to go thru from these people and the customer service is definitely not in the US and is stupid. Impossible to get any help at all. When wanting to talk to an actual person, you have to go through so many loopholes, that your patience will be exhausted. If you don't have a certain email, there is no way for you to get them to send a back-up email.

This company is a joke, I am a a senior citizen and file a simple filing on my pension and social security. They asked what I paid last year to get my taxes done and I showed her $40.00, but when she finished my paperwork she then told me it would be $159.00!!!! They take advantage of older filers.

They promised to do my taxes for 25 dollars. They charged me more than 200. That on top of a 2000 tax bill. They should be more upfront with their pricing but I am in a limited income and now I have to dip into my emergency funds.

Went to Jackson Hewitt, get our taxes done, easy taxes. Not only did she not say anything about our taxes and just get them but it cost us almost $400 to have our taxes done. She didn't transfer all the deductions were from having to get your refund from the special Bank which was 100 almost 120 bucks, never mentioned that she didn't go over our taxes with us. She just literally she just did some typing and didn't say word to us. The worst experience ever.

I met with George ** at the Seekonk, MA Jackson Hewitt location. George is highly knowledgeable and brings exceptional customer service to the plate as well. He was very thorough and explained everything as we moved through the process. I didn't feel hurried at all, which I appreciated. I will definitely use George's services in the future.

They are way over priced. It cost me $219 to do 3 1099R 1 Social Security and 1 dividend. I went to them from 2018 to 2024 due to Crista ** but she got kicked upstairs and does not do taxes anymore. Me and my daughter went to 5137 to file taxes for 2024 Tax preparation, was done by Fredrick ** branch Manager, I gave this Fred direct deposit information routing number etc. I asked about fast cash, Fred told me I would have to get a card for fast cash to be eligible so I got the card I specified. Specifically asked will the rest of my tax return go directly to my account, Fred told me yes on my way leaving the building. I said is the rest of my tax return going into my account. He said yes. I said I don't want no problems. We left.

I had an appointment on 2/10/2025 @ 12 noon. Before we started I asked her how much to make sure I could afford the service, she said usually $60- $100. They charged me $458 & I was shocked but had no choice to pay since the service was complete. At least I thought it was. I received a call about 45 minutes later asking me to come back & sign because my refund changed to $538. I drove back & signed the form. Then I received another call about an hour & 1/2 later saying her boss found an error & I was getting back over $1000 please come back & sign again!

Not good for people that don't have email. It told me to put in code, I did, verify my phone number, I did and still can't access the ATM!!! I DO NOT REFER ANYONE TO USE JACKSON HEWITT.! Sucks run around and why should you have to verify email to be able to use an ATM???

I've been unfaithful and all your customer to Jackson Hewitt until now! The fee I was charged to prepare a simple 1099 is ridiculous. It's wrong! You all are charging me almost $700! I'm on social security and I'm legally blind. I would do it on my own. However, I'm not capable. It took the tax preparer all but 10 minutes to complete my taxes from start to finish. I'm not satisfied. I feel like I've been taken advantage of. I don't feel like the service is worth the price. I'm beyond angry with service from here. Prior year I loved them however this year the person was so unprofessional and for a month I asked about a message I received which apparently was a glitch in system. It messed with my filing and now since January I'm still waiting for word about my refund! I WILL not be using again along with will not be recommending their service. They cost same amount as other facility used before them and they didn't take this long nor was this unprofessional. When I asked to hear from upper I never was contacted and honestly it's probably for best as I have nothing nice to say now. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND DO EXTREME RESEARCH ON ANY OF THE AGENTS IN THIS COMPANY AS NOT ALL OF THEM DO THEIR JOB NOR CARE!!!

Had my taxes done for the third year in a row with JH and this will be my last time with them. My refund was $660, but JH charged me $630 for service. I mentioned to the prep person that this was my third time, that I was elderly, 72 and that I saw an ad for 25% off. She contacted her supervisor and I got the discount which made my charge $472. I don't know how JH bases their charges, but from now on I will use other online sources available at a fraction on the cost or AARP where I can get my taxes done for free. Dealing with IRS is scary for us elderly and maybe these companies take advantage of that, but this is one lesson learned for me that you are never too old to learn a better way, saving money especially when on a fixed income. Will never use overpriced tax preparation companies again.

Talk about unreal! I was NEVER asked or told I was being charged all these ridiculous fees let alone shown any paperwork stating how much I would be paying. My question as to how much I was being charged was never answered but I was told they don’t give out paperwork anymore, it’s all online. Look at these high and I mean extremely high fees. One star only and that’s because their bathroom was clean. This is a straight ripoff!

Have been using Jackson Hewitt for many years now. After this last 2 years, I will not be returning. Did my taxes on 1/31/2023, did not receive my return till the day before Thanksgiving. Couldn't get ahold of anyone for several months. Finally got it solved on my own. The mistake was made by Jackson Hewitt on my 2021 return. Related my issues to several people and never did Jackson Hewitt offer me money back per their lifetime guarantee. This year 2024 first thing I'm told is I own my fees from last year, never was I contacted to tell me because of their mistakes the fees weren't taken out. Affected my return this year, couldn't be approved for advance loan because of said fees that I knew nothing about. Paid for the money card for no reason because I couldn't get the loan. Won't be returning.

Do not trust them when they offer the Serve card. You will have all kinds of trouble down loading app. I was supposed to get a refund by the 15 and I didn't die to couldn't download app. Had to go back and have cats switched to get a check mailed to me. Still haven't gotten it.

I went in to Jackson Hewitt in Robbinsdale, Mn and Ms Kimberly ** assisted me in filing my taxes quick and painless. She was very, polite, informative, and helpful. Made the process very delightful. I recommend anyone in or visiting the area to come by and check her out.

I had my taxes done for the first time by the office located in St. Petersburg on 1st Avenue North and 31st Street. The taxes were completed, and I had no issues receiving the refund. Based on my initial experience I referred my son. He came in on a Wednesday (12th) and had his taxes completed as well. On my way out I asked about the refer a friend campaign and gave my name to Stephanie. She was able to pull up my information and completed the process. I haven't received the incentive, but I believe it will eventually come.

I’m giving this service only 2 stars—the tax preparer was wonderful, but the pricing was completely unreasonable. My return was simple—just two pages with only Social Security and a small pension—yet I was charged for a "complex" tax return. Even the preparer was surprised by the cost. I’ve used this service for years because of its convenience and hassle-free process, but the excessive overcharging has finally driven me away. I can no longer justify paying such an inflated fee for a straightforward return.

I was a customer With Jackson Hewitt for over 10 years. I’ve always had great experiences with the ladies that have worked at my location at our local Walmart. Unfortunately the last two years have gone there they have a different worker and the experience has not been great. I’ve had a lot of questions. They have not been answered clearly to me. I went back again this year because I thought maybe I was just a little confused about things but once again I had several questions about Why I wasn’t getting anywhere close to what I was getting the last eight years that I’ve been going to them Prior to the last two.

Jackson Hewitt ripped me off this year. They charged me $555 for a simple 1040 form that I probably could have done myself. Last year it was $99. I told a lot of people and they said I may as well just bend over and get a jar of Vaseline. Anyway, I definitely felt like I needed PREPARATION H when I got out of there. Definitely will find someone else next year. My ** is still sore from going there. My recommendation is definitely find somewhere else to get your taxes done. Ridiculous!!!

My problem with Jackson Hewitt has been resolved.

Today I visited the tax booth at the Walmart on Federal and Riverton Wyoming. I was met by Sherry ** who I must say is an amazing woman. She was really sweet, really patient, answered all my questions accordingly and helped me get a discount on filing my taxes. I recommend her to anybody and I tell you that if you're going to borrow your taxes at Jackson Hewitt at Walmart ask for Sherry because she is the best. She helped me and made me feel comfortable with everything that I needed to know things. I had never done this before so I want to say thank you to you Sherry and have a good day.

This is my 3rd year having Reyna ** with Jackson Hewitt in Green Valley/Sahuarita at Walmart do my taxes. She is the reason why I continue to come back to JH. I can only imagine that the others that work there are good.. but I know Reyna. She is so pleasant. And she is sharp. She knows her stuff. I look forward to doing my taxes each year... and it's because of her. An EASY 5 stars for Reyna **. I truly appreciate her.

My husband and I have been going to Jackson Hewitt in Wal-Mart in Fishkill for approximately 15 years, we recently moved so we went to Jackson Hewitt at Dutchess turnpike, our tax preparer's name was Charlene, I have NEVER experienced such awesome service as we had with her, she was very personable, professional and pleasant, my husband and I have NEVER had that type of service going to Wal-Mart, we will continue to go back to Charlene at dutchess turnpike location because she's the best tax preparer we've ever had, I'd definitely recommend making an appointment with Charlene, you will never be disappointed.

If I can give a zero I will. The District Manager name is Saul ** is the most unprofessional and the most unqualified person I ever seen. I'm not sure how he became a manager and who hired him??!! This guy scamming people with the tax preparer job letting them first pay around $200 to get the PTIN and CTED ID and will let you study in 10 days 26 sessions and when you are about to finish it, he will stop to respond to you. He will collect your SSN and address and phone number! What a low standard company. I just want to know why this man even getting a salary if he can't answer the phone or text back. If I were the owner I will terminated him on the spot. Wasting other people time and money and efforts. I'm sure their services very bad as you see other comments when you hire a low educated and a low IQ people in the wrong place.

My husband and I tried to file our taxes with Jackson Hewitt because they advertised $49.95 filing fee for new clients. After we arrived we were quoted $592 to file. I have never paid anything close to this amount to file. We were filing jointly with a few w2s from employment. Nothing complicated. When I asked about the advertised price he said our situation was more complicated due to us being married and we didn’t qualify for that deal…. I feel their advertisement was very misleading.

I filed with Jackson Hewitt located at the Walmart on East Palm Valley Blvd in Round Rock, TX. The tax preparer, Melissa, was outstanding, friendly and efficient. She was professional in her knowledge and made me feel totally at ease. I give my experience a 5 Star rating.

I wish she could be my tax person all of the time.

I just completed my 2024 income taxes and am so beyond grateful for JH. I had used TurboTax and TaxSlayer in past years and each year at the end of the process I was livid and paying far more than anticipated. JH was great all around. No theatrics on their site- straight to the point and just the right amount of help. It was quick, transparent and AFFORDABLE. No hidden fees or blind upgrades- amazing, seriously! Even to file both fed and state, w2's, multiple 1099s, etc. etc. still, $25. THANK YOU JACKSON HEWITT!!!! I will absolutely recommend to everyone I know. Please don't change a thing!!!

The service by Lisa was great, but the American Express they give you is trash!! You can't use this freaking card anywhere!!! Pure trash. Jackson Hewitt you need to collab with Visa or Mastercard or someone else!! I'm so freaking ticked off. All of my funds are on this card and I'm having a hard time getting it or using it. I was told go to 7-11 to withdraw. Who in the heck goes to 7-11 anymore??? And why can't I go to a regular ATM for withdrawal?? Trash Trash TRASH!!!!

I’ve used Ann ** of Jackson Hewitt for the past three years. She is a very knowledgeable and professional person. I would recommend her highly to anyone. This year JH offered a percentage off your bill up to 30% if you used a code they provided to you. I received 25% off. What more could you ask for. I’ve only had good experiences at Jackson Hewitt in Edison NJ.

The price is very expensive. I don't understand. I paid $410 for simple form. I can't believe I'm really mad. My question is why different price? I don't want make my taxes with them. The lady was very nice.

Waited one hour after my appointment time to be seen. I was also scammed into paying more than I should have. Simple tax return but they said it would be $500 but that they would cut it down to $79. They played with my emotions to trick me into believing I paid less than I should have but really it should have been less than $79.

Was told $49 for 2 simple w-2s totally less than 30k. Was charged over $300 because I also had a Social Security to file less than 10k. Punished like hell for being a retired senior citizen! What makes it bad I was not told about the “extra tier price” until it was filed. Senior citizens BEWARE!!!!

I had my taxes done by Jackson Hewitt and Surfside, South Carolina and I was told that it would be $380 to have my taxes done. Jackson Hewitt charge me $845. I called and left 10 messages and finally I was able to get in touch with the manager over that area which I was told was the only person that could do anything about that and then he told me after he accuse me of lying. Then he checked into it and saw yes that that was their mistake that they had overcharged me. He said whether that he could do about it and that’s not OK to charge me 470 more dollars then they told me I would be charged to do my taxes that’s not even legal, so he’s basically just refusing to do the right thing and refund me back the amount that they overcharged me.

Regina was amazing and helped me right away. Explained everything and also very informative. And was very pleasant and nice woman and very attentive with filing my taxes for me. I am very appreciative and the process was quick and easy.

I recently went into Walmart in Dartmouth Massachusetts. Was ready to do my taxes with Jackson Hewitt and noticed a woman playing with dolls and drawing, copying her drawings and taping them all over her cubicle. Dressed in sweatpants and a dirty sweater. I will go to H&R Block to have my taxes done. If this is the face of your company I do not trust you to do my taxes.

I was told it would cost me $100.00 after discount to file my very simple non itemized taxes. It took over 1.5 hours and the agent made at least 10 phone calls because she could not figure out how to file my taxes. 3 of those phone calls were for simply printing the paperwork. She blamed this on her poor training from Jackson Hewitt. Then charged me $301.95 dollars after misleading me the entire time of the cost. This payment was intercepted/stolen from my state refund.

My tax preparer is Barbara **. She has a great personality. She makes sure you understand all your options and gives you the time you need for any questions about your taxes. She’s great. Definitely recommend her And be a returning customer.

This is the third time I have filed and every time has been a rip off! I absolutely can't stand how slow and unprofessional these guys are! I requested a refund for being persuade to have to accept the premium package. $515 just to file! Do it yourself. Not to mention there is absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Mrs. **, my tax preparer, was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. Her expertise and friendly demeanor made the experience seamless and stress-free. I went to the Jackson Hewitt office inside Walmart located in Centre of New England BLD, Coventry Rhode Island, the lady Shyanne was ok, the only issue I had that I forgot a form she needed I told I will be back, as soon I got back she was gone I was quite annoyed, Also I made an appointment for the next day unfortunately the CPA I was supposed to get my taxes done was supposedly sick I didn't bother to reschedule, Also now I'm reading that they are false advertisement for $49.00 and get back $100, very incompetent

I made an appointment, showed up on time. The one employee was still with the previous customer, she asked if she could help me. I told her I had an appointment for the current time. She said she was finishing up and would be with me soon. After waiting 30 minutes of her yelling and running around like a chicken with her head cut off and screaming "where are my pens, my pens don't work, someone took my pens!" I developed a severe migraine from her yelling that she was basically incompetent at her job and my appointment was half over and she hadn't even helped me, so I left. Without my taxes being done, had a severe migraine, and I made the appointment a week before and rearranged my day to be there. I am severely disappointed in Jackson Hewitt and their underwhelming professionalism. I would not want a woman like that doing my taxes.

We have used Jackson Hewitt for the last 13 years and have always been satisfied. My complaint this year is the price. We are retired, filed a short, easy form and were charged $225.00 (with a discount). I asked about the $49.95 they have advertised everywhere and was told we weren't new customers and didn't qualify. I should think after 13 years of doing business with you, you could do better than this. Very disappointed.

Mrs ** is Awesome. She cares about her clients and does a great job. I enjoy coming to the Bushnell location. The consumer service is great and she is very fast. I will be back next year for sure. Thank You.

Always Fast friendly service and Ann always responded to me within 24 hours or less, I was able to qualify for an anticipation loan which came in handy, hands down the best experience filing taxes I’ve ever had, they also offer remote service which I needed this year.

First of all, I am a loyal customer for more than ten years and senior citizen. I made an appointment today at 2 pm, and had to wait until 4 pm for the tax preparation. Thus, the waiting time is poor customer service. Afterwards, the management refused to give me a discount, even though this year there were less forms used and I had a 30 % coupon, which they emailed to me. He/she claimed last year, I was given a larger discount since I owed taxes. This is a ridiculous lame excuse not to give a discount. I highly recommend NOT to use Jackson Hewitt for your tax preparation. They are just rip offs, especially to senior citizens and loyal customers.

We had an appointment to have our taxes filed. We arrived early. Not long after our arrival, another lady arrived after us. She was served before us. When I set up the online appointment, they were for 1 hour intervals starting at 1:30. Our appointment was at 2:30. There was no option for 2:00. We were racially profiled. We were there before her, and she did not have an appointment. This will be our last time using Jackson Hewitt.

I walked into the office with my head down worried about my taxes and Ms. ** offered me a cup of coffee and told me to have a seat and let her see all my info and went to work. My day changed for the good.

I went to them for the first time for 2024 taxes, the girl was extremely friendly and did well to explain things, but I had called before I went in and asked how much it cost to get my taxes done, told them how I was filing and was told it was $49. I got in there went through the process and was charged $167. I had been paying only $50 at another place, but was trying to find someone closer to home, big mistake.

There was signage everywhere about their promises and guarantees and they were nice as he sped through the auto e sign. They charged 238 DOLLARS and promised many times it would be fine. No mention of a possible third party denial. They will NOT help or budge and really don't care how calm you are about not eating for 2 days and taking a credit hit because I can't pay my card back. They sent me over to talk to another store where the lady said I shouldn't have signed. The world slaps you down enough. I was already down and the kick to the face was unbelievably harsh.

I got my taxes done by them. And it was my fault for not reading the fine line. That being said I was charged over $900.00 in fees to file with them. I was told that was the case I would have gone somewhere else. I recommend do your research before filing with them

Tax professionals are great do a good job but Jackson Hewitt is doesn't. Their care team don't care about you. Yesterday I went, got my taxes done and always got a advance. This year they are advertising advance but they are not letting you know that it a loan and there underwriting involved so when you go in for advance be prepared to not get it. Jackson Hewitt should be more upfront about their advances and advertising that it based on underwriting criteria not just your refund next year so think about a different place to go.

Had my taxes done at Jackson Hewitt today. They took me to the cleaners! 1st they promised an advance of 1/2 my refund. 2nd it was supposed to $49 for Fed and $69 for state. They charged me $379 and gave me a debit card for the advance and refund. 12 minutes after I left I get a text saying I didn't qualify for an advance. I called and asked to cancel the return or at least refund most of the outrageous fees. They said NO! I'm on Social Security and they robbed me! She wouldn't even show me the fees until after I signed. STAY AWAY from Jackson Hewitt! You won't get an advance and they will take away a big chunk of your hard-earned money.
