When we got my boyfriend's taxes done, the lady was so busy with other things she got his email wrong, it took forever, 2 and a half hours because she got 4 phone calls and a visitor and their rates are so high. We used H&R Block last year and it's almost 200 dollars cheaper at H&R block so when I got mine done, I went to a different location and use his refer a friend, but because the email was wrong, I couldn't use it and I cannot believe that it cost that much to have your taxes done. Next year I'm doing it myself.

First of all, this company is a scam company. They trick you into doing their cash advance before the tax season is even submitted. Then they do other transactions on your tax returns that you did not authorize. Then they don't notify you when issues apply. So when you receive documents from IRS it's on you. Then they charge you so much money and they do not return calls. They don't handle any of the business when it comes to identifying errors in your claims. It's just a mess and definitely you can't trust the staff. They don't really know what they're doing and it's just poor service.

I had a great experience when I went to Walmart in Hialeah Florida to do my taxes and I came across some a young lady ** at 9300 nw 77th Avenue Hialeah Florida 33016. She was very helpful and she helped me with an issue I had in regards to the insurance in my employment. I would go again to see her next year to do my taxes and I will send people to do their taxes with her because she knows what she's doing.

Scam with costs. I will never recommend this company to anyone or ever use them again. Almost $600 in fees even with $100 "discount". Will be the first and last time. The woman we did my taxes was great. The company on the other hand will charge ridiculous amounts of hard earned money.

Jackson Hewitt inside Walmart on Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lafayette, IN. Is the worst place to go to. I was charged $75.00 and I had to mail my own tax paperwork after a woman told me she would file online for me and I'd have direct deposit. It took me 3 days to have my simple state return done and I was lied to, they don't file online. I spent nearly 4 hours over three days being told one line after another!!! Do not go there, the people do not know their job. I should have been given a refund!!! And one star is too much for them.

I’ve always had the Best service with the biggest returns with Jackson Hewitt! The staff is the Best! Michelle ** is simple PHENOMENAL, EFFICIENT AND QUICK!!! Michelle ** is the Best period!!!

Absolute disgrace.. always late, don’t know what they’re doing, customer service is GARBAGE.. DO NOT USE THEM. I have never seen anything more atrocious. I can do this for free and better. Just no.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. They messed up my taxes even after I questioned it. She said she double checked it, turns out she didn’t pointed it the mistake later that evening when I found it, they filing amendment, still don’t add up, tell them I’m going home to grab my papers and I will be in this evening. Get there 715 they close at 8 and guess what they had done, locked up and left for the night knowing I was coming. Pay $525 so there is no mistakes and there is. And then they diss me like this after all that

Hi! I been a Jackson Hewitt customer for 15 years at the Pennhills location in Pittsburgh. I have one amazing person that I always ask for Mr Frank. He always explain every step that was taken. Also, Frank is very kind to all his customers and make them feel welcome. He’s one of the reasons I keep coming back. Job well done, Frank. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽

Had Jackson Hewitt do taxes last year. Lara was the employee who took care of me. She was a delight, very professional. We were done in 20 minutes. Charge was $149. This year Lara was there. There was a newly guy who wasn't thoroughly familiar with job. We spent over an hour fumbling around. THEN I WAS CHARGED $409. REALLY!!. Same tax as last year for $149. I checked HR Block and TurboTax, their prices are in $150 area so I incorrectly figured Jackson Hewitt would be also. My mistake I didn't ask prior. My tax is relative simple. Retired with job retirement income plus social security and a couple of cd's. Not a lot of work there. No way it is worth $409. My advice is you look somewhere else. Next year I certainly will.

I was never given a number for the charge, when the finally told me what I was going to pair it was 635$ -100$ for a transfer discount than when I finally got to see my numbers I saw that the was a additional 55$ added because of the payment coming out of my refund so I paid them 55$ so I could pay them, I don’t get it. When I asked the main office why it was a 589$ charge she told me it was because I filed EIC. I filed just a plain 1040 with earned income credit for my dependents.

H&R Block; is by far, the better choice!! Jackson Hewitt will charge you $800 to file. They will take your State refund to pay back the advance and filing fees. The Serve Card from American Express sucks. H&R Block had the Emerald Card, which can be used just like a regular debit card. The don't take your fees for advances or filing until your Federal arrives. Also, they only charge me around $350 - $400 to file.

The new bank they use for the refund advance is a joke, always got the full advance with no issues, then the prices are way higher than the previous Year. I paid 289$ last year, this year was 569$. I've used Jackson Hewitt for 16 years. But after my charge this year, I will not be coming back. This makes me sad because the lady who does our taxes is awesome. But I'm not paying almost 600$ for a 40 minute appointment to have my taxes done, I'll do them myself.

Bad customer service, rude employees and expensive. We were ripped off after doing the paperwork. Apparently they don't need more business with this type of customer service. Will not recommend them.

Lisa was great. She was fast and efficient. Best service ever!! Will refer anyone. She was amazing at getting the job done. And she got me a better return than I expected.

I won’t even give this place a star it does not deserve it but they made me give them at least one star in order to submit it!!! I went to Walmart Jackson Hewitt in Clinton Tennessee to get my taxes done. The lady that’s been doing my taxes the last 6 years done them this year. Anyways I told her I need to refund advance loan this time and she NEVER put in for it for me that was the whole reason I use them and continue to use them cause I got the loan EVERY YEAR. Anyways I found out the next day she didn’t put in for it so I called cooperated and they was no help at all and called wanting the general manger to call me back which never happened. They can’t or well the won’t fix my problem or address it to the lady that’s does my taxes which this will be the last year cause I was charged almost $700 for less than an hour of work and then on top of they she didn’t even do what I mainly came in there for.

The Jackson Hewitt office in Jackson Tennessee, at old hickory office is the worst experience I've ever had to experience in my life from a tax professional. After doing my pre loan paperwork I was advised I owed 345 for pre loan paperwork, for which I wasn't approved. Next experience I spoke with a previous employee of Jackson Hewitt for emporium drive, I needed my 1040 sheet, the current manager of that address advised me their customer service tells them to direct people that request a printed copy of 1040 got to myjh.Com instead of printing it off, she was the most unprofessional human being I've ever dealt with, she absolutely refused to print it off, she was rude, obnoxious and exhausting, if Jackson Hewitt is willing to go on record as saying they hire unprofessional people, I will gladly spread the word as telling people don't go to Jackson Hewitt to have your taxes done by unprofessional human beings....

Oh my goodness best lady Lisa. 😍 She was so professional. It was a good experience. Very outgoing and explain to all our questions. She a keeper for next year!!

If I could give no stars I would. The tax preparer wrongfully filed my taxes. From 2020-2024 I filed all of them in 2025, 1099 c, the tax preparer put I made way less than what I actually made. I have receipts and proof from the rideshare company I was working for. There’s no telling how many others she has done this to And I thank God for my husband because he caught the error, I had identity theft where someone illegally filed my taxes in 2021 for 2020 which she should have known upon filing my taxes but instead she decided to try and make it worse, I am now seeking counsel and filing charges against her and this company.

I just had the worst experience with Jackson Hewitt in Bloomington, IN. I was charged $314.00 to have my taxes prepared, so much for the first time unsupervised price of $49.99. First of all the gentleman that prepared my taxes called me after I left his office to inform me that he had messed up my taxes and that rather than having to pay $950, he found that I only have to pay $944. He lead me to believe it was going to be so much less. He then informed me that if and when I receive the back documents that prove my payments for the car loan, he would file an amended tax form further lowering my amount due to the IRS.

Been with JH for years and this year is nothing like past years. Won't be going here next year. Very unsatisfied. JH should of been honest to their customers.

My experience was amazing with JH tax preparer. She was patient, kind and funny. I needed those laughs. However JH fees are simply RIDICULOUS if you have a dependent.. They seriously need to give their fees some reconsideration. I really enjoyed meeting my tax preparer but next year I’m sticking with Tax USA or trying Turbo Tax.

Dianne ** did our taxes and she was very friendly and very helpful. We came in today not knowing much about the details of our taxes and she helped out a lot with understanding some things. We will definitely be coming back to her for our taxes.

I want to give a shout out to Chelsea ** at Jackson Hewitt for helping my wife and I file our taxes. I've been going since 2020 to Jackson Hewitt and I'm always pleased with my return. Chelsea is very knowledgeable and if she can't quite figure it out she has a wonderful team she can reach out to for the answer. Scam! Don't use. $800 to do my taxes then didn't even get the loan on the same day! Not worth it. Honestly cheaper to use TurboTax and just wait a few extra days honestly. First year and last year. Never again.

They have changed banks and have gotten strict on loan process which is ridiculous. When I usually always get approved for years with them they say you can get it minimum for loan requirements is getting at least 10,000 back. I'm getting 11,000 back. They also went up on fees. Over $700 to file one w2. I'm prob going elsewhere as of next year and their bank does a soft credit pull too which is bs because they get our refund first before us.

Guy was friendly and did my taxes. Get to the price and I was blown away. I will never go back to Jackson Hewitt. Over 800$ just for adding a 1099 which does do anything for me. But being honest they wanna charge you more. Highway robbery. Never ever again will I be going back or would ever refer someone there.

The Jackson Hewitt at 159-03 Hillside Avenue Jamaica Queens New York is great and underrated. I have been going to them for 3 years with no complaints. I will continue to go to them for my taxes and tax advice.
