While the debt was of my own creation during a financial hardship, I am thankful that they worked with me to handle this as I try very hard to rebuild my credit score and move past this issue from my past. I hope that they can help you as well if you come upon the issues I did.

Normally loans and any accounts that you have debt through, are very hard to manage. However they've managed to make it user friendly and it's very easy to keep track of what you have going on. The updates and email are just the cherry on top. Used to struggle to find everything and keep it paid up to date. The user friendliness here is top tier.

So I've been cleaning up my debt history right? And Halsted had gotten ahold of two separate accounts somehow of mine, and I'm super glad they did. Each interaction I had was likely with some lovely people from the Philippines (Halsted has a couple different work bases) and I couldn't have been more respected. I liked picking my plan and making my choice online not having to speak with anyone. but I get 2+ emails a day that is annoying, but get it done so you don't have to get any more emails! As long as I can go online to do all my communicating I like that better these days.

They really care about you paying off your debt to be simple. I was able to select payments for early pay off that was over 75% discount than my original debt. When I saw the new payment which is lower than $50, I was like I can do this one cause I have other bills to worry about. Now about 33 dollars every two weeks is much better in my opinion. I gotten an email every day about the payment, and I barely checked my emails. When I clicked on it and it said lower discount amount, I was definitely wanted to see what was the lower amount. Waiting to see what’s the lower amount is what you should do in case you got other big things to worry about.

I've been very irresponsible with my credit in general. I charged up cards when I was younger. This particular one I believe was during covid which was just a tough situation for everyone and even though it's a debt collector they dropped my amount owed by 500 bucks and I got on a payment plan that I can afford. It's not going to destroy me and I'll hopefully be able to just make double payments and pay it off sooner!!
