I have been working hard to pay off all my past creditors, the pandemic hit my financial situation hard and I was unable to work or make payments on several accounts. Paying this account off and seeing it show paid on my credit report is an amazing feeling. This opportunity was a gift I greatly appreciate. Thank you for helping me in this situation.

Wonderfully. Finally getting to take care of everything in a way that is affordable. Thank you for the opportunity to get the debt taken care of without being pushed or bullied to do so in a way I can't afford and not having to worry about having my job put into jeopardy from continuous phone calls and harassment from the main company themselves who, in reality, coined the customer into owing the debt by charging fees that were never mentioned to them and tucking them with ads and little bonus emails that really just kept raiding the debt and problem for the damn customer.

I'm going through a REALLY rough and emotionally draining divorce with very limited equity to survive at this point. My bills to income ratio is terrible. I initially ignored the emails that I received about my past-due loan account. I thought that it was outrageous for me to have to pay the amount that was my initial balance. This company is very patient with all the stuff that I had going on including death. They still communicated even though it seemed tedious. I'm so grateful that they did because I really got this to build my credit with. I got myself into a hardship but they were able to still do a payment plan with me to get myself out of it and pretty much even faster. The company is awesome! My experience was much better trying to pay than the nasty collection people that I dealt with in the past. Other felt like a loan shark, waiting for someone to knock on the door and take off my limbs. I had my identity stolen and someone took out 4 payday loans in my name. So bad that I had to file bankruptcy. All the others were very threatening and mean and tried to sue me even though I filed bankruptcy 7 years ago. They threatened me with court and extremely harsh and did not listen to what I had been through loan sharks.

I look at the summary and they did a fifth payment with the with a $99 charge which is the $100 that I was supposed to have off. Makes no sense. You guys wonder why you don't want to work with. Super disappointing considering I wanted to get some of my deck cleared up and we had to make it difficult every single time.

Thank you for patience. I was a first time card holder and the app was not set to take payments directly every month in which my payment arrangement had gotten messed up. So the Credit One site did not give me the chance to set my phone and service to notify right away when my direct payment was not received. I was believing that my balance was being paid every month. Then I tried manually paying but was to that my account was closed.

Your agent assured me that she could set the payments up and she did. She was very courteous and professional. :) I don't remember her name but she was originally from the UK then moved to Ireland.

If all debt collectors functioned like Halstead, it'd make me feel far less like a full on shameful criminal and more like a human who had fallen on hard times. I'm far more likely to find a way or readjust my budget to pay back those things that defaulted during my difficulties if everyone provided quick online options like Halstead does.
