CreditAssociates said they settled a couple of my debts. I wish the monthly cost is lower but it is what it is. I can manage it. CreditAssociates has done well on the whole.

Someone from CreditAssociates is helping me now and he is good. But I didn't get any call about my last credit card. CreditAssociates reached whoever is in charge of Bank of America and they got an agreement between those two credit cards. Other than that, everything has been good so far.

There was a death in the family recently and I needed to have that extra cash for the month and my kids were coming. I was able to skip a payment to CreditAssociates. And there was another month that I needed to skip a payment. So, that was good. It kinda surprised me when I was first told that I could do that if I ever had a month like that. So, they've been really good about that. Then, also, I was surprised that there was a couple of offers a lot sooner than I thought. The only thing is the cost of it. Other than that, CreditAssociates made my life a lot less stressful, especially now during the COVID thing. It's one last thing to have to worry about.

When I started with CreditAssociates, they explained they're gonna be paying for my credit and I pay for them. My credit is screwed up right now. I have a business account and they told me that time that it's not gonna affect my business. But automatically, they shut down my credit for my business. I’m never late on my payment before. Right now, it's a very tough situation. I can't change my car. I can’t borrow money, too.

It's not easy to get in touch with CreditAssociates’ debt consultants if you have a question. But then once you get someone on line, they appear to be pretty knowledgeable. It would be nice, periodically, for them to just send over a text, email, or something to say, “Hey, things are going fine. This is where we're at,” instead of waiting for someone to call to say, “Okay, where are we at now?” They do send over notifications when settlements are reached, but that can be far in between. But CreditAssociates has been very good. I have less stress because of it, so that's a good thing.

We talked about the things that I wanted done and we came to an agreement about me and my husband being together. But when he needs to tell them to take the money out, they have to come to me, even though I had already given him access to what needs to be done or what he needs to do. Other than that, it's been alright so far with CreditAssociates. Some of the bills have been taken care of and the team members are pretty good as far as letting you know what you need to do and how to do it. Also, they don't have any problems explaining to you any information that you need and give you a better understanding. I appreciate that.

We had a very pleasant experience with CreditAssociates. When my Mastercard was paid off, I got a notice and a phone call from them. The Discover card just recently got paid off and there's one more to go yet. Since working with CreditAssociates, we've been able to put money aside in a savings account and that's very important considering we're both retired and on a fixed income and my husband is a 100% disabled veteran. It's been very helpful for us.

I'm very happy with them and now I have a lot more money to live on. But, I went from my Mini iPad to a regular iPad and I don't get emails anymore. The guy rep I spoke with kept on saying I was putting in the wrong password or I had the wrong email. Other than that, Credit Associates just took down this really big debt and I'm so happy. I only have three little credit cards more and I'll be taken care of.

We are about three months into the process. So far everything Credit Associates advised is happening. It was Sage advice to move all payment and income accounts out of the credit union to avoid the CU from freezing assets. The creditors have begun to get aggressive, but between RoboKiller and voicemail, it has not been too irritating. We are looking forward to the first account being settled soon.

CreditAssociates was recommended to me by my father and the thing that made me choose them over other people was they stated something to the effect of how they get higher commission the lower they manage to get the debt. They have an incentive on their end to get me a better deal. That paired with the fact that they don't get paid anything unless they do a service for me seemed to be better than what other people were offering.
I have had limited experience with them, but I remain hopeful that something good will come of it. They got back to me with an estimate where they had tried to negotiate a debt. I laughed at them 'cause they only got a few $100 off, and I haven't heard from them since. It would be good if they were more in contact and assured me that my problems were actively being dealt with. I have to assume that good things are happening and I could be more satisfied, but I'm not dissatisfied. They have yet to resolve my issue, but all the experiences I've had with them have been very positive.

She signed up and she said she had a good experience so I jumped on board after that. I worked with the first rep who called me and the introduction was great. He was phenomenal and he explained absolutely everything. But after that, I haven't heard from anybody. I’ve just been getting emails but I don't know how much I have in my account. I sent an email because I couldn't access my account. All I know is that they're taking $491 every month.

I got something in the mail and I read about it a little bit, and then I was weighing out my options on what I wanted to do on my end. But then, I realized that I was paying more interest than what the merchandise was. So, I called CreditAssociates and one of the representatives told me what they would do and what they can do. I figured it would be a good idea instead of filing for bankruptcy or just paying interest. I was overwhelmed with the bills that was coming in. I bought this home last year and I paid off all my credit cards and I got in it. But then, I was in my house with nothing. I figured that I'll furnish my home.
Over a year, it got overwhelming. With the COVID thing and I was getting less hours in my workplace, I got behind a couple of times, but I always kept my mortgage payment going. I always heard about the snowball effect, paying the smallest one first off and then kind of catch up on the rest of them, but going through CreditAssociates is a little better because I can consolidate all of them.
I only talked to a guy a brief moment just to get all my information and told me then what would be happening. "The creditors will be calling you. Don't talk to them, don't explain to them on what you're trying to do. Just say, 'Yes, I know I'm behind and I'll let you know when I can make a payment.'" I should keep it short and to the point. "I'll contact you when I can..." He said something in that manner. He told me, "Just keep it short. Don't stay on the phone with them trying to explain yourself on what you're trying to do." Then, once I build up a little bit of money in the account, CreditAssociates will discuss on what could be done. So far, it's been good.

A couple of years from now, my credit problems will all be fixed anyway.
Getting signed up with CreditAssociates was pretty simple. At this point, I'm still in the process of figuring out which accounts I wanna shut down and which I don't. I don't have a specific contact at the company although there may have been somebody whose name was on a letter. It's just that I haven't pursued that yet. So far, CreditAssociates has been fine. He answered all the questions that I needed answers for. It was a pleasant experience. They got everything going. If the guy I talked to represents what the CreditAssociates is, then I would highly recommend the company. But it would be up to the customer really to make the decision because CreditAssociates tend to have all the information. I did a general search online and found that CreditAssociates had a high rating. Their consumer feedback was positive. I called and they were very responsive. They said we could talk then and I could tell them about my situation. They gave me some directions over the phone and it was a very clear process. I didn't have to ask a lot of questions because the person that was helping me gave me so much information up front. I felt like I had all the information that I needed to make a decision. And when they sent me the paperwork via email, their rep even walked me through that. She waited on the phone until I received the email so she could make sure that I knew what to do when I signed the paperwork. It was a really seamless process. They also gave me a lot of good reasons why it was a good decision to choose to use their services.
I just started my account. So far, customer service has been excellent. They have been thorough and accurate. What they said they were going to deliver was what I experienced when I called. I called to ask a question and I didn't have a long wait time. I was able to talk to someone and get my questions answered. I'm working with Ava and she told me I would receive another phone call and I did. The person I spoke with was clear in answering my questions. They were very nice and easy to talk to. And I'm sure it may get a little bit more frustrating whenever credit cards call and CreditAssociates are handling that portion. But I'm saving so much by going having my six credit card minimum payment to $200 each. The first individual I spoke to was Brian and he set me up. I have macular degeneration so my eyes are not that good but he was very helpful. The paperwork came through on an email and I just had to initial it. He explained everything. They go into the different accounts, talk to the creditors and they get the amounts down to a certain amount that they and the creditor agrees to. I'm putting $1,037 every month and they take it out of my checking account automatically. Global Holdings is the one that holds the money. One of the creditors said, "We don't know when you started, but if it's a for profit, they're going to keep collecting the money for a few months or more until they get what they want rather than immediately working on your behalf with the various creditors. So, it's lengthening the period of time that you're gonna continue getting late fees.” But at the set up, it was explained in the book that Global Holdings gets a $9 a month.
A complaint with most people is the telephone calls you get from the creditors and you keep getting those. That's the only thing that is a headache sometimes. It would be a good idea for these type of companies to, as soon as possible, contact these creditors to say, “This is what's been done by this individual. We will be in contact with you.” Most of these companies, when I tell them I transferred my accounts and give them CreditAssociates' telephone number, they say, “We can't call them. They have to call us with an offer.” But the whole process is very well and I know CreditAssociates is working on my behalf. They're great. They've been very helpful and they've answered all my questions. They told me the plan will take four and a half years. I've only been in it two months and so far, I'm very happy with it. It's better financially, doing it this way. I have no worries.

Not only am I getting old and tired, but then, this COVID thing happens and I haven’t been working much. Times are hard. I have it easier than lots of people, but not being able to pay your bills really suck.
CreditAssociates is a company that talks to you and listens to you. I had another company do that too, and I almost went with them. But CreditAssociates gave me a better money deal. The gentleman I worked with was good. I was impressed with his accuracy. He seemed to really get what we were trying to do and really tried to be sincere and helpful. Working with CreditAssociates has been wonderful. Everything went smooth and fast, and they really seemed interested in what they're doing. It's helping us contact these people so I don't get such a bad credit issue. I know that they do want us to deposit more, which if we could, we would. But with some of the money we have saved, we have to do a roof repair and that has gotten delayed because of the debt. It gets me a little bit upset that I can't do a bigger deposit. I realize that this whole thing would go faster and we'd be out of debt faster, but I can't do it. We feel a little bit of pressure on that. I got a mail from CreditAssociates. I opened it and thought there had gotta be something more to this. I called them and there wasn't. I talked to Sue for an hour and a half. She was as nice and polite as can be. She answered every question I had and I had a lot of them. She wasn't in a rush to get to anybody else or do anything else. She stayed late to help me out. She also got my girlfriend helped out later that night or early the next morning. It was an easy choice. I was fine with the timeframe of getting signed up too. I just got done doing home refinancing. That takes months and months. It took a couple of hours or less than a day and it was pretty much two phone calls and a couple of screenshots. It was super simple.
Everything has been going well. Payments are coming out on time and nothing's out of place. But I talked with the guy handling my account and the initial part was a little vague. It's the same for my girlfriend. We both kinda came to the same conclusion and we signed up on the same day. They kept throwing out a number. My debt was $23,000 and they kept saying they would settle this for $10,000. And I said, "$10,000 out the door, like that's it?" The answer was always yes. But I get the paperwork and it's really about $15,000 after CreditAssociates' costs and things like that are included.
That is still fine though as it's still saving me money. It's not the end of the world because there's no interest. It's a flat number and I know what it is. But the people that answer the calls should say, "Your debt will get settled for $10,000, but our fee for that is about 5,000. So, you're looking at about $15,000 total for your costs to get out of debt." That would make it a little more transparent and less fishy.

I'm getting a lot of telephone calls from my creditors telling me that I make missing payments, and I'm just telling them what I'm supposed to say. Being with CreditAssociates is saving me money overall. My credit score is gonna go down, and then it's gonna come back up after I start paying them off. The rep said, "Your credit score is gonna lower, but once you start paying these people off, it will go back up. And then, by the time you get done paying all of this off, it will be taken care of and your credit score should be back to a good number." It's gonna take me 42 months to get it paid off, but that's okay.

I have been pondering and pondering and pondering about what I wanna do and I made the call. I have student loan debt, a mortgage and then I have all of this debt because I had been helping my mom who had dementia. It was causing me a lot of stress.
They set up the plan and they also had someone else to reach out to me to ask me if I had any questions or concerns. They sent me the information and they've been taking the money out of my checking account. They told me that when the people call, I should let them know that I've engaged CreditAssociates and that they'll be handling it. So that's pretty much what I've been doing. It’s really easy.

I have a credit card that I've been paying on since 2014. I heard of CreditAssociates on the radio and I decided to give them a call to see what they could do. I spoke with Zach and I asked him if he could help. I have two credit cards, one of them was drowning me and the other one was sort of an in addition to. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and reassuring about the process, given that it is nerve-wracking. He explained fully how it's gonna negatively impact me for a short period of time and how it's gonna positively impact me over a long period of time.
After I was done speaking with him, he directed me to stop paying the two credit cards and to not be intimidated by them. He also told me to sort of transfer any money out of those accounts, just in case, to protect myself. From there, I got another phone call from a different gentleman. He asked if I had any further questions and informed me that they were missing pieces of information. I gave it to him and now, it's just a waiting game.
I don't like the idea of my credit being compromised for a short period of time. But as far as the pleasantries and as far as people explaining things to me, I really couldn't have asked for a better experience. My biggest credit card is with a credit union and I was told by other debt consolidation places that there's nothing I can do inside my agreement with that company. They won't allow any sort of debt consolidation program and this and that. I always felt very defeated with that whole thing. But to know that there’s a company out there that says, “We understand what they're saying, but everybody will negotiate,” and made me feel that there is some semblance of hope, that on its own makes me feel like one day, I might be debt-free.
Also, they're very realistic. They let me know the amount of money that would be put into that account and if things go the other way, I'm ensured that that goes back to me. All of it has been pretty comforting for the most part. It's a little nerve-wracking because I've never done this type of thing before but I feel supported by CreditAssociates. I understand this is what they do for a living and I'm just one of hundreds or thousands of people but it still felt like a personable experience. I'm optimistic about what they might be able to do to help me out and at the end of the day, even if they can't, because I have a creditor that just won't budge, I always appreciate the effort. As far as customer service and good bedside manner, I would recommend anybody at least giving it a shot.

This company is a complete fraud, nothing but crooks and liars. Most of all of the four and five star reviews are people like me that were promised everything would be fine in the beginning. However I am almost one year into the program and have to tell you they have done nothing to fulfill any other promises. When I enrolled, I was told that they guarantee they can settle all of the debts for around 50% of the balance owed at the time. I enrolled 5 accounts totaling over 125k. Seeing that in the beginning they promised wonderful things I also enrolled my wife and 3 of her AMEX cards a few months later.
When Amex begin calling us and we told him then we enrolled in debt consolidation they said they do not deal with any of these companies. When I brought it to a Credit Associates, they told me, as they have many numerous times, they deal with every financial institution and consolidate more than $100 million of debt per day. We received a letter in February that the Amex accounts have been closed and turned over to a legal firm for collections. When I called to tell credit associates this they said that is great news that they can then start to settle the account. When I called back in June to ask why nothing has been done they said that they never received the letter that I had emailed in February, however I have course had proof that it was sent directly to my account rep and was conveniently not put into the system.
I have received a call only seven months after sending them the attorney letter and they tell me that they are going to settle for approx 60% of what is owed. When you add in their fees that means we are paying back a total of over $8000 on an initial $9100 balance. This is over 80% of what we originally owed not 40 or 50% as a they guaranteed. Meanwhile needless to say as we have been waiting for now over 10 months for them to take action for resolving these debts both of our credit has gone down several hundred points to pour status and we cannot get any loans or credit cards to help us survive in this pandemic in time of need.
I had enrolled five cards totaling $125,000 in debt with these jokers. Only after more than eight months did they finally reached out to try to settle one of the accounts, and that was only because it was an American Express that had been sent to a collections agency and I had no choice but to take whatever offer was on the table otherwise they would file a lawsuit. One of the accounts that is enrolled was a line of credit, which after four months of delinquency the bank went to an adjacent checking account and withdrew over $4000 to pay for back payments and penalties and fees.
When I brought this to the attention of credit associates, they acted surprised, however they have told me numerous time they have worked with every financial institution and know every rules of debt. They told me to avoid this in the future to just close the account. I told them I have 4 business accounts with BofA and it takes a great deal of work with my (international) clients to change any banking info and this was not an option!
I once spoke to a supervisor regarding a potential settlement and I was upset with the amount and the fees they were proposing, and I declined to except it. He told me that he would speak with his team and call me right back regarding a new proposal. He did not call me back but I did receive an email & text l notification shortly after that the account was automatically settled. When I called a question why and how this can happen, they told me if there is a offer at a certain amount they have to automatically except it. How convenient that they lowered their fees just enough to get over this exception. But no one ever called me or followed up, they simply manipulated the system to auto accept the offer.
They have not done anything much in over 10 months because it is in their best interest for those accounts to rack up interest and fees because their fee is based on the overall amount. They have settled one account for me, and I now end up obligated to pay back over 80% of the original enrolled debt. I have called countless times during the duration of the program to find out why there has been no activity and they constantly make excuses between they need more time and they need more money in the account.
When I brought it to their attention if it were a possibility if I were able to increase my funding or add a lump sum to any more of the accounts if they close it quicker and they said absolutely yes. When I said why did you never tell me this they said but they have so many clients they cannot reach out to any one individual to let them know what is needed to move forward faster. And when I ask why my payback is going to be much higher than the 50% they promised, they tell me it is because I enrolled a very large amount of debt! Are you serious? They knew every single penny when the took on the accounts and still promised, quoted & put into my account the payback figures.
In the end we are not paying anywhere close to 40 or 50% but closer to 80 % of the original enrolled debt on the settled accounts, all the while ruining our credit that will take years to repair. Do not fall for their empty promises and “smooth talk" to coax you into the program. They simply cannot deliver on any of their promises. It is well known that the credit card will work with you directly to reduce or eliminate interest, as well as take a potential lower settlement before you enroll with credit consolidation or perhaps file bankruptcy. So unless you are in desperate need to enroll with this program, I would highly encourage anyone to contact the credit cards directly and try to settle yourself before ruining your credit because you will not save anywhere near what they promise you.

I canceled with CreditAssociates yesterday. I wasn’t comfortable with the way things were going. I understand it was only a month but Citibank, one of the creditors I talked with, said that they don’t work with CreditAssociates. Their clients need to check with their creditors and find out if that their companies are going to work with them. It says on CreditAssociates' website it could take up to six months for them to settle. By the end of the six months, all of those fees and all of that interest would have piled up. In the end, Citibank wouldn’t settle with them, which leaves me from a $2,500 debt. At the end of six months, I might be looking at $3,000 to $5,000. So, I needed to be more educated.

He pointed me in the direction of someone who could help me and because of my income, they don’t attach any fees to anything. It was just a little bit more money than what I would be paying Credit Associates and just a few more payments. They also brought all my interest down to 7.3%, and it was starting at almost 25%.
CreditAssociates gave me peace of mind in the beginning but this is a non-profit organization I’m with now. Everything that they sent me shows me who’s going to be paid, what and how much is going to be paid, and the interest rates that I’m going to be paying. It gives me a longevity and a projective of where my money’s going and how it’s going to be done. I am working with a debt relief, which I understand that my credit is going to be affected, and I understand that it’s going to take a little bit longer to pay it off, but in the long run, it won’t hurt my credit as much as the way I felt it was going with their company.

She explained everything in detail and they gave me time to think about their service. I went with them and so far this first month, I went by my due date for two payments. Credit Associates recommended me not to pay anything. This is the first time this happened in my life and I don't know what's gonna happen. Still, enrolling with them was smooth and easy.

There was a guy from Texas who works for CreditAssociates. The way he spoke was really professional, and he was able to pull you in and get your attention. And he was fast to sum up my credit cards and tell me how much I was gonna save and what the credit cards do. And the only reason I'm doing it is because my girlfriend got laid off and there's no money coming in. She's had really good credit and she still does, but she got laid off. So, I'm stuck with all the bills. And I told her, "You know what, let's just do it. It's not like bankruptcy or nothing like that. You still wanna pay them off, but the interest is killing you."
Once I've seen the savings while working with CreditAssociates, I was more relaxed. I was like nuts because of this Coronavirus stuff going on, and two weeks prior to that, I got really sick. I was diagnosed with diabetes, and I ended up in the hospital, and my bill was like $34,000 and I didn't work for two weeks. So, my girlfriend was stuck with the bills too. I thought, "We gotta do something."

I got a divorce and my husband paid all the bills. I then became a single mom trying to make it and so I got a few credit cards to make ends meet. I ended up changing jobs because my hours were cut back at the job I had. With the transition and having to wait on insurance, that put me in a bind. I really buried myself and I kept thinking that I needed to file bankruptcy as the credit card companies were messaging me steadily wanting payment.
I called Credit Associates and they were beyond wonderful. It was like 10,000 pounds were lifted off my shoulders and their service really helped ease my mind knowing that things are gonna be okay. Their rep worded things really well. He said that the creditors want their money back and they would keep hounding and hounding me. What he said made so much sense. I had gone into a severe depression before that. Thank goodness I called Credit Associates. Now I haven't been stressed about my credit cards. I'm just focused on my bills and things that keep going.

I called about three times and they never called me back. When I’d finally gotten somebody, he was rather rude to me. He asked who I was going with. I said that it was not important and that I needed to know what my monthly amount would be. However, they wouldn’t know until they get all the cards discounted. I said that they have to know what amount I’m going to send them. They told me an amount. Another company had a smaller amount, but it was sort of the same amount of time. I then canceled my relationship with CreditAssociates.

They just deduct the money out of my account, let it build, and then they tell me what to do. I feel happy with the program so far. I'm less stressed because they're dealing with this issue with Bank of America. I just wanna become debt-free and CreditAssociates will help me with the other two cards. Right now, I just don't want any conflict with the other cards or with my loans. I'm gonna do the two cards first, and then if that works, then I'm more than happy.

After the initiation call, they kept sending me automated text messages. Then, no one called and a few hours later, there was a random call. The person who called me apologized but the thing was, you’re out there without knowing and then funds come out of my account, which did more online through the portal.
