We too have had a really hard time getting anyone to help from Chase. We were approved for a loan modification in Oct 08. The agreement was, the past due amount of $4500 would be applied to the back end of our loan. We sent in a good faith payment in November 08 as instructed and started making our regular payments in December. We have made all payments on time but our credit report took a big hit! None of our payments were applied until Mar 09 and $1550 is sitting in a suspense fund, which they won't apply; they can't make partial payments!
Our credit report says we are over 6 months behind, we haven't made a payment since Dec 08, and that we owe over $7000. None of this is true and we have tried numerous times to speak to someone to straighten this out. Most people are insistent that we pay the $7000 or risk foreclosure. That's why we did the modification in the first place! We even signed legal documents to add the $4500 to our loan. It seems to us that Chase is trying to "double dip" from us. Maybe it's time to speak to a real-estate attorney. All we know is that we wish we had never done the modification. It's been nothing but a mess from the very beginning!

I too submitted all of my paperwork to Chase Mortgage for the loan modification program. Based on all criteria, I qualify for an interest rate adjustment. Two months later and not a word from Chase, I called and got the runaround. Instead of spending my life saving to stay in the home another few months before I lose it, I'm cutting my losses and I've stopped making payments. Do I feel guilty? Nope. After a reduction in workforce landed me in a lower paying job, I tried multiple times to work with Chase so I could continue to pay the entire principal of our loan with a reduced interest rate. They weren't interested.
Do I care that I'll lose my home? Nope. The house just appraised for $289,000 and I owe $400,000. Chase's choosing to not work with me could be the best financial thing that's happened since the recession hit. So what if my credit is wrecked for a bit. A few years of good payments and I could be back in an equivalent home for less than I owe on this one. That's a smart financial decision by my book.

I've applied for a refinance with Chase on Jan. 15, 2009 and paid $750 for application fee. It's been over three months and 20 days but it still does not look like I will be closing any time soon. I've already extended my rate one time and I will have to make another one. When I called someone from Chase, the only response I received from Chase (and I spoke to many people at Chase) was that there has been a huge volume in refinance application that is causing the delay. But should I pay for this delay? I've sent in everything that was asked in the first month. I hate Chase Bank. Chase lied too much about time. This basically means that I'm paying for the delay that is caused by Chase not being able to process application properly!

I was behind on my payments because of a slow down with work. In late February 2009, I went online, and the Chase Payment system said I owed a little over $3,700 so I paid the amount the Chase system said I owed, plus about $50 extra to principal. When I received my April statement saying that the payment had been returned and I now owed about $4,600, I logged on and there was a new message saying the external account had been closed, which it had (still has) not been.
I called in to find out what was going on. My account had been sent to the Foreclosure attorney on March 31st (3 weeks after I made the payment) and the customer service rep said that the payment was rejected because it was not the total due (even though the website won't accept a payment for less than it says is due) and to this, the customer service rep said it was because there are additional late fees. Now, because I'm in Colorado, I have to file an Intent to Cure with the County and they tell me that $7,100 is due to get my house out of foreclosure, $5,400 in payments and almost $1,700 in attorney fees and county fees, and the like.
During the course of this whole situation, I either get told that it's not Chase's fault or I need to do this to get it fixed. When I do what they tell me to do, I get told that I don't need to do that. I need to do something else or call someone else who never answers the phone and doesn't return calls. If I have to live in a cardboard box, I will never willingly deal with JP Morgan Chase again.

I got a charge on my account from my mortgage twice for the amount off $1400 but I got only $500 on my bank account. Chevy Chase processed the transaction and my account got overdrawn. I got 8 NSF fees for the amount of $35 each. I called Chevy Chase Call Center and the lady transferred me to special list named Nicole. I explained to her what happened and asked why they did this to customers. She said because I'm a value customer and have been with them since 1998, so Chevy Chase paid my mortgage company on my behalf. I asked her about my NSF fees to see if they could waive the fees since I'm their valued customer. The answer was no because NSF fees have not posted on my account yet.
I called on last Saturday. She told me to make a deposit today to clear up my account which I did and call back or go to the branch on Monday because those fees will post on my account on Monday. I asked her to put the note on my account so the other person would know what happened. Nicole said she would do it right away. I called on Monday, got disconnected twice and finally was able to speak with the lady named Margaret. I explained to her what happened with my account and asked to talk to customer relationship specialist as I'd been told to do.
Margaret told me "no". I asked her to take a look on my account so she could see the note and she put me on hold for about 5 min. Then she said, "I'm sorry, Mrs. **. I lost your account information. Can I have it again?" My name is not ** and if she took my issues seriously, then she should not lose my account info. She put me on hold again after I gave her my account # then she said, "I'm sorry but I cannot transfer you to customer relationship because of your NSF fees issue." I asked her then what could she do to help me. The answer was nothing. I asked to talk to her manager or supervisor. Then Margaret told me that they were not available to talk to me.
What kind of business do they run? I should have the right to talk to the manager. This bank just wants to take money from you; they don't care. Why did they authorize money to go through if I don't have enough funds to cover the balance? They could just charge me only one fee for the return item but they didn't. If they posted my mortgage after the other transaction, then I should get only one NSF fee, but I think they want to do it the other way so they can charge me money. I'm done with this bank and I will tell everybody that I know not to bank with them.

My husband and I initially contacted Chase in December 2008 regarding modifying our interest only loan. We did not receive any response or callback despite the numerous messages we left. In February, we were told that the laws were changing and that we had to fill out an application online for a modification, in which we did. In March, we faxed all our documents that were requested to Chase. To this day, we have not received a response. We have been calling almost every day to try and get some answers, everyday, a new person and different answers. We were told that an analyst was assigned to our case in January 2009, yet our application is still under review. We are now two months behind on our mortgage, something that we tried to avoid from happening. We are desperately looking for some assistance. It seems like we can't get it from Chase. This whole situation has been frustrating and it seems like the people at Chase could care less. We will soon be facing foreclosure, despite our efforts over five months ago.

I got a loan from Chase about 14 months ago. I was told I could pay online. When my first payment was due, I went online. They said they had no record of my account. Same thing happened when I called, only Loss Mitigation has my account and I had to fall behind before I could make a payment. Nobody can correct this problem because Loss Mitigation is a different department and if you call Chase, they will not let you talk to anybody unless you put in your account # and mine does not work. You can't send an email without first signing in with your account # but again, my information does not work (not name, property address, SSN or anything!).
I have just been blindly paying my mortgage as I have no access to receipts. (I pay through Western Union.) But now I can't file my 2008 taxes because they have not sent me any paperwork with my interest or any other info I need. Again, there is no way to contact them through phone or email without a loan number and again my information is not in their database! So I can't file my taxes now. And I thought them ruining my credit for forcing me to pay late was all I had to deal with! Try to contact them with no loan number! Press 0 as many times as you want and it just hangs up on you! There is no way to report a problem to them!

The value of my home has dropped below my current mortgage. My mortgage holder is Chase. I have been calling Chase since February when the President announced the stimulus program for people in my situation. Chase continually tells me that although I qualify, they haven't begun the program yet. It's now the end of April and I'm still waiting. The odd thing is that they continually tell me not to contact anyone else. This is important, according to them. I don't know who to contact or how to take advantage of this stimulus since Chase won't help me.

I have gone through the entire process of completing and gathering documentation for a loan modification on my mortgage. After waiting 3 months for them to respond, I have finally had to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy. The loan modification guidelines clearly state that a bankruptcy does not disqualify you for a loan modification. I received a letter from Chase stating they will no longer work on my modification due to the bankruptcy. I have contacted an attorney who says they can get a modification done for a fee $2000. This is ridiculous, loan modification can be done by anyone at no charge and the government is currently cracking down on the fees charged for loan modification. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don't have the money for the loan modification which should be done at no charge with Chase Bank!

I have been a Washington Mutual Mortgage customer for 9 years. Like lots of other taxpayers, I helped bail out WaMu. I received a small refund (about $50) due to over payments to my mortgage escrow account. Knowing WaMu had been bought by Chase, I took the check to a convenient Chase Bank on the main drag 2920 in Spring Texas near I45 (where I had banked when working in New Orleans). I do not have a Chase account and closed my last account years ago in good standing.
After acting like I was trying to get into Fort Knox and having 4 people inspect the $50 check (already signed by my wife, a big deal for them, even though the payee was me and was "or" her not "and"her), after 15 minutes, Chase told me to take the check to another branch 2 miles down the street which had WaMu service, because their "systems were not yet integrated". My lunch hour slipping away, I drove to the other branch. After 10 minutes of hemming and hawing, during which I became increasingly frustrated, Chase/WaMu agreed to cash the check "as a courtesy, even though it violated their policy."
I asked incredulously where I was supposed to take the check if not the bank on which it was written. I was told I should have taken the check to my "own bank." I complained to the head teller that I didn't want any "favors" and asked what could possibly be the reason for not cashing the check without delay. I complained that I had already spent 30 minutes between two Chase banks. The head teller responded, threatening me with, "Do you want it cashed or not?" I said that what I wanted was first to express my displeasure with the policy of not cashing checks labelled "WaMu" when Chase had bought them. After fooling around 10 more minutes, the teller said, "The system will not let me cash this check." I left angry and spent another 30 minutes traveling farther to my own bank (Woodforest) to cash the check.

I have been trying since 2/09/09 to get my mortgage modified. I have spent countless hours, days and even weeks trying to get someone, anyone to just help. I have survived 3 major lay-offs and 2 consolidations with the company I work for. There are not too many people remaining. So my time, I'm sure, is short-lived. I am on mandatory 1-week a month furlough which means only 3 pay checks a month. I have struggled for 4 months to make my payment on time each and every month. I am playing by the rules, I don't want to leave my home. My husband and I are in our 50s and can't bear to think of losing what we have worked so hard for to keep.
I have an FHA loan and my current rate is 7.785%. My credit score is 780. How great is that? And Chase will not respond nor will they work with me to refinance, modify. Of course not, they want me to continue to keep my rate where it is. Is Obama really that careless with all the bail out money? Is there any attorney out there who is ready to take on Chase Mortgage on behalf of all of us who have been misled, lied to and hung up on by Chase Customer service? Please, help all of us that have to deal with Chase Mortgage .

We have a Chase Mortgage and were going to refinance from 15 years to 30 years. We were preapproved at 4.5 percent and they took my 750 dollars. They appraised the house and the day that the rate was to expire, I got a letter that said that I was overextended. I have a credit score of 780 and was preapproved. The new rate and terms meant that my new mortgage would be $1000 cheaper a month, so how could I be overextended? It was a scam to get my $750. Now I can't get anyone on the phone. Obama should close down this Ponzi scam of a bank.

I contacted Chase immediately after my husband lost his job in January. The loan is in his name and a request for them to speak to me had been mailed in October. After holding online for an hour, I was told that I needed to wait until the stimulus package was released in order to get some help. I called back in February and after holding for another hour, I was told that they could give me a modification on the loan. At this time I also had to send them a second letter that okay-ed them speaking to me as the loan was in my husband's name. I gave them all our information and was told that I would hear from someone in the Homeowners Assistance program within 30 days.
After 30 days and no call, I called back and held for another hour. I spoke with Kevin in their Jenny Mae team dept, who I also had to fax an okay to release information. This time they took more information and told me that I would receive something in the mail in order to start the modification process, and should not have to pay my mortgage from May 1 through August. I did not receive anything in the mail and called again. I again had to wait an hour and a quarter and (4x) had to fax over an okay for them to talk to me. I was told this time that it would take 8 hours for them to file the okay and they would not speak with me even with my husband's verbal okay until tomorrow.
I am totally disgusted with Chase. I wish they would just sell my loan at this point. I am going to go to a branch office and see if I can't get some satisfaction from them. I have never dealt with such a frustrating runaround when I am just trying to get help so that I don't lose my home.

I applied for a home loan with Chase on or before March 13. My loan officer was Joel **. After I had sent in all of the requested paperwork, it took over a week before my paperwork was submitted to a loan processor (Areatha **). After that, I repeatedly tried calling and/or emailing to get an idea of how long the loan processing would take. Areatha simply refused to answer this question. In fact, I received no substantive information from her despite my involving three other people (Joel and two other mortgage officers) for over 2 weeks. Yesterday (4/24), after sending 10 back to back emails requesting a response, I finally received an email from her with no salutation or closing, stating that she needed additional documentation for the application. I called her to get more details on some of the requested documentation. At this point, she rudely stated that she was handling over 200 cases.

I am still on hold to a new department at Chase. I have spoken to 9 people now and am waiting on number 10. I sent paperwork in to Chase on April 8. They said the loan was assigned to someone and sent on my way to the next person. This has been going on for 2 hours. I spoke to one man that told me I have to be past due before they can do the Obama plan modification. He said to try to refinance. I spoke to that person and he said, "No, you don't have to be past due." I have been trying now to speak to a manager or someone that knows something. I would like to know if this is really the plan Obama had set up? I guess I will just keep holding until I can speak to the manager.

In November 2008, I was laid off from my job due to a lack of work. I contacted Chase and was told I didn't qualify for any assistance since I was current with my payments, and had to be at least 90 days past-due. I began to borrow against my credit cards to pay my mortgage and stay current. In March, I called Chase and was transferred to many people until I finally got a representative who seemed to be on top of the Obama plan. He explained that there is an assistance plan and led me to Chase’s website. He assisted in downloading the correct form, the phone number to fax it in, and explained all the details.
I was told that once approved, the government would pay $1,500 to Chase and $500 to me to assist with the payment, as well as reimbursement for the payments I made while unemployed. The loan would be modified, and while this was taking place, there would be no late fees or negative credit reporting. I faxed in the application that day and obtained cash on my credit lines for the payments knowing it would be repaid once this plan was approved.
I continued to call and try and obtain updates to my situation. I was bounced to every department and no one had any information. I then spoke with a man in homeowner assistance and he explained the Forbearance program. I was told it would take 5-10 business days for approval, and the advantage to this plan is there are no late fees or negative credit reporting. I asked how long this plan was available and he said a few months. No one ever told me about this previously. Again, I waited and called and no one had any information. Finally, I was given the names of a case worker, a supervisor; I left several messages, and never received any return calls.
I called into collections, asked to speak with a supervisor and left a voice message. She returned my call within 10 minutes. After discussing my account, I was advised that basically everything I had been told previously was incorrect. She transferred me to their newly formed Fannie Mae department. I spoke with a representative who appeared to be the most knowledgeable of all. She also advised all the information I had received from Chase so far is incorrect. She said there have been plans as far back as November to assist me, and told me that the Forbearance plan may be the best; however, it is reported negatively to the credit bureaus.
So now I am out of money, have much more unsecured debt, and all this was for nothing since it was all based on misinformation. One advantage I do have is I have recorded most of my calls with Chase and documented names and SID numbers. I suggest to everyone that speaks with them, do the same. Also, I believe a class action suit should be filed against Chase for these actions. I have 11 days for resolution or my credit takes a huge hit.

I am trying to get a refund of the monies that I have paid my bank, Chase Manhattan, back in January in order to lock in a mortgage rate. The reason I am asking for a refund is that Chase stated that they would do an assignment for me; thus, saving me the mortgage tax. It turns out that they cannot do an assignment because they cannot find my original loan paperwork. Chase informed me of this after approximately 3 months of waiting for this assignment of the loan to go through. In addition, their closing costs continue to rise with each conversation that I have with them over the phone. They emailed me one good faith estimate in April for a loan that was applied for in January. The good faith estimate is not accurate as it is based on an assignment, not on a refinance which they are trying to do.
My last conversation with them was a week ago and they quoted me a price over the phone of $13,000, which includes 6 months of escrow costs. I was told that I would only need to prepay 3 months of escrow costs and I have an email stating this. Again they change their story with each and every conversation that I have with them. I was originally told that my total costs would be approximately $6,700 and now I am at $13,000. I also asked them to produce the note, as my current mortgage is with them, that states that I owe them this original mortgage debt to begin with. My request was blown off with some double talk, but they have yet to produce it.
Can you please assist me with getting my $750.00 back for my lock-in rate considering that they could not do my assignment because they cannot find the paperwork of the original loan? I have emails from them which show what I am stating to be true. I also want them to produce the loan note. My Chase loan officer is Christine ** **. Thank you.

I am writing in regards to my refinance through Chase. I am absolutely devastated as to what this has done to me. When I received notice, my previous mortgage through Chase was paid on Jan. 12th, 2009; I assumed all was done right. In late Feb., I started receiving calls that my previous mortgage was overdue. I immediately started trying to get this figured out. I have spent countless hours on the phone, faxed requests, and done everything in my power to fix the mistake that was not made on my part. I was told several times by several different people on several occasions this would be handled, that my credit would not reflect Chase' mistake and that my refund of the remaining payoff would be paid back to me in full without fees or late charges.
When I refinanced, my credit rate was 780 or so. For 33 years, I have taken great pride in my credit and have taken several measures to keep my great scores. I have never had a bad credit rate or default. Three weeks ago, I applied for a credit card and was denied. I have never been denied a credit card. Two weeks ago, my husband and I were trying to make a great investment on some property and due to the investment opportunity that it was, we were competing offers with several others. We were denied approval of credit due to my unpaid mortgage through Chase, we lost the deal. One week ago, I was issued our Commercial Vehicle Insurance renewal which went up $400 due to my recent bad credit. I have since shopped for a better rate and have been facing the same challenge, bad credit which equals bad Commercial Insurance rates. Needless to say, my credit rate is now 620 only due to my unpaid mortgage, Chase's mistake.
I finally received my remaining payoff check this week on 4/16/09 in the wrong amount. Instead of the amount of $403.10 that was due to me, I was issued a check for $268.83. I believe I was charged late fees and whatever else. I feel as if my identity has been stolen by Chase Home Mortgage. I am also very frustrated that I have paid you people several thousand dollars to do this to me in closing cost, recording fees, application fees, processing fees, etc. I demand that my issue be dealt with immediately. This has cost me more than money. It has cost me my sanity, my credit, commercial auto insurance, investment opportunity, and my future. This is what I am sending to Chase. I wish to email as many Chase individuals as possible to see how far my demands are met! Any emails out there? I can't seem to find anyone at Chase to complain to!

I called Chase to refinance my mortgage with them on 3-26-09. I spoke to Mike who said I needed $750.00 nonrefundable application fee to proceed. Mike said he sees that I have a Chase card, can put it on that and he did. My husband called the next day requesting to hold off on the charge because he wanted to think about it. The Chase card customer service said they could not remove the charge and was nonrefundable. In the meantime, I received the welcome package via email and read it. My husband had questions for Mike and asked him to call back the next day (and also to mail the package via mail to look over).
We received the package about 6 days later and the numbers are different in the package. I checked the package in my email again and the information was gone. I called the processor and asked her where the package went that was online and in my email. She said it is only temporary and a hard pack had been mailed. The information was different and Mike apparently didn't want us comparing the two packages. It was somehow retrieved. We asked Mike why we were paying a point and he said all big banks charge a point. He did not take the time to tell us that the rate would be slightly higher without a point, which only made a difference of $30.00 in our payment. I have trust issues with this company and I think we should get our deposit back.
When my husband called Mike on the 27th of March, he should have put a stop on the appraisal until we felt comfortable with it. The appraisal was done via drive-by, so no appointment was made to look at the inside of the property. I think the $750 nonrefundable fee is just a bait to keep you in the loan processing with them since most people don't have $750 to throw away. I ended up talking to my local bank that does not charge an upfront application fee and am paying no point. My husband called Mike ** today to ask him why an appraisal was done without his approval. He left a message to call him. My husband called back at 6:51 this evening and he accidentally got Mike on the phone because when my husband asked who it was, he said Mike. When he asked Mike who? He hung up on my husband.
Chase also sent me a new credit card for what reason I don't know because the application fee was charged on the old one we had not used for awhile. Chase is an extremely poor customer service company. I'm sorry I called them to refinance my home. It was an expensive mistake.

Chase has the worst customer service of any loan company I have ever dealt with. Their phone system is impossible to maneuver and their website is worse. I have tried repeatedly to set up a user name for my mortgage account but it continually pops up errors. When I call and finally get to speak to someone, their excuse is always "The website is down." So trying to rectify my problem has become even more of a problem.
My complaint is with their impound services. My mortgage was sold to Chase. I would never have obtained a mortgage from them in the first place. I have never been late with a mortgage payment in the 25 years I've been paying one, I have excellent credit, therefore I am a good customer for Chase. This is the first mortgage company who did not contact me when my impounds fell short, allowing me the opportunity to pay the shortfall. Instead, my mortgage payment went up over $200 a month and I only found out when I received my next month's mortgage statement.
I called Chase to get the shortfall amount so that I could pay it off and was given different answers by every person I spoke with. I was routed to the insurance department who in turn routed me to the tax department. Our conversations prompted me to call my city and county for requested information and when I called back with the information, I had different Chase reps who had to look up my account and start all over again. They then began giving me different information from the first reps I spoke with. I was also cut off many times while on hold, which everyone knows how frustrating and irritating that can be.
I never received an Escrow statement from them or I might have known there was a shortfall. When I requested another, I was told I could access it on their website. I tried to set up a User ID on their website to access my information but it requires a banking account number. I don't bank with them. When I used my mortgage loan number instead, I get an error message. So, I called them again, only to be told the website must be down. I tried another day and got the same message.
As for the information I've obtained by speaking to Chase reps in trying to get a breakdown of my impounds, one told me they required "wind" insurance and were impounding two months payments in advance. When I pointed out I have never been late with a payment and that I had never been subject to this with previous mortgage companies, I got a "Well, that's our policy" response. When I called back after speaking with my city and county representatives, the Chase rep looked at my account and said there was not a two-month advance impound and that I did not have wind insurance, but that they had paid my special assessment. They are not supposed to pay my special assessment. They told me I would have to call the tax department. I hung up frustrated and angry. I'm still cooling my jets. I will try it all again next week.

We got a mortgage loan through Chase in September 2008. In January, my husband was laid off from work and we got behind on our payments and we applied for a loan modification. This was April and we still hadn’t heard anything on it. Now he was laid off for good, and we still couldn’t get them to do anything for us. We were working through Joyce **. When we called, either she was not in the office or she just stepped out of the office and never called us back. We got an FHA loan, then 6 months after we had the loan. We received a letter from Chase saying we no longer had an FHA loan. They were changing our loan, changing a loan over the phone, what a joke. Chase is a joke. Don’t ever go through Chase to get a mortgage loan. Beware.

Having decided to refinance my mortgage, I included my current mortgage holder in the group of folks I contacted. The information from Chase Mortgage sounded good. Yes, I would save by refinancing through Chase. I would get the lowest rate being offered by the industry and could lock in immediately for a fee of $750.00. Anxious to secure that low rate and believing that he wouldn't lie to me, I gave Mr. Brad ** my credit card number. Within hours, I found that the rate Chase was offering was in fact not the lowest being offered. It took two days for Mr. Brad to get back with me to say that he could not match a lower rate. I asked for a refund of the $750.00. I've been emailing and calling daily asking for the funds. The Phoenix office will not return my calls or respond to my emails. Because of my ignorance in the first place, I will now have to involve American Express.

I wanted to refinance my adjustable mortgage with Chase and before they could begin the process, they require a $750 non-refundable fee. But what they did not tell me was the type of loan that I would get would be an FHA that would cost me $9,300 at the closing and that they would roll into my new mortgage. How nice of them. They wanted to hit me with every fee that was out there. If they had let me know that my fees were going to be so high, I would never have gone for a loan with that bank. I think that it's one hell of a scam.
They lead you to believe that they are going to help you get out of the scam loan they put you in and then go for the kill with another one. I hope they can sleep at night after taking money from people like me who are having a hard time making payments on their homes. Shame on you, Chase. They need to let people who are trying to get new loans know that the fees could be sky high before they collect the $750 no refund fee. Just remember if you do not ask, they sure will not tell you how much you are going to pay in the end. How stupid of me to think that they were going to get me out of this loan that I am in. Beware of Chase.

I have been attempting to refinance my current mortgage which I have with Morgan Chase. I applied on January 2, 2009. All personal documents Chase requested were forwarded without delay, and I paid a $395 fee to lock in my rate for 90 days. The first set of documents (good faith estimate) had multiple errors. When I informed the person processing the loan, I was told I was sent the wrong loan package. The second attempt included my taxes being escrowed and homeowner's insurance being included in the closing. The consultant was told when I initially applied that I pay both out of pocket and did not wish them included in the process. The paperwork also included my home equity line of credit which was not to be included and remain open. This was addressed when I submitted my initial application.
Multiple emails have been sent and phone calls made to address the issues, yet the errors go uncorrected. I requested to review the updated good faith estimate to ensure it was correct, but I was told that it could not be sent to me until a closing date has been set. This is peculiar since I received the error-ridden copy without a closing date. I have called several times only to be on hold for an excess of 30 minutes before hanging up the phone.
As I am typing, someone from Mortgage Support picked up my call (after 25 minutes). Last but not least, a closing date was set via a phone message without speaking to me to determine if I would even be available. I called Chase to inform them that I did wish to set a closing date without seeing the loan papers. I received no return phone call. In their defense, it was the Easter weekend. On Monday, April 14th, 2009, I had to pick up the phone after 10am EST and try to get someone to address my concerns. I was transferred 3 times until I spoke to George at Mortgage Support who stated he would check on the matter.

I own a home, and unfortunately, Chase is the mortgage holder. I called last year when the co-owner of the house (listed on the deed but not on the mortgage, therefore no financial responsibility) did not pay the mortgage and I did. I asked hypothetically that if she were to pay late enough where I were to pay and that resulted in a double payment, would I be able to get my payment refunded? Their answer was "Yes, no problem"! Wrong! Later that year, instead of just allowing the payment to be late, I chose to pay the mortgage to get it in on time. I have sent them my bank statement no less than 4 times (and have to send it a 5th time tomorrow) in an attempt to prove to them that they have my money (because the money sitting in their account is clearly not enough). I'm surprised that these characters don't forget to breathe! It has been 7 months. Really?

Chase has the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. If you are considering taking out a mortgage, please think twice. We have 2 homes, one with National City Mortgage and one with Chase. We have had nothing but positive interaction with National City Mortgage and nothing but harassment and trouble with Chase. I guess if you like dealing with non-English speaking customer representatives in foreign countries, be my guest. We are receiving collection calls from Chase for an account that is not late and that they have the full payment in their possession, but will not apply.
Background: In Feb. 2008, our homeowners insurance went up and the payment into our impound account increased. We have a bi-weekly debit from our checking and actually make 2 extra payments per year. We were not aware of the increase to our payment until March when we started receiving collection calls. The Chase representative on the phone was rude and condescending. We tried to explain that there must be a mistake considering we had an impound account and bi-weekly payment. But they did not understand and continued to threaten reporting to the credit bureau if I did not agree to pay $2,754.41 by credit card or check by phone immediately. Being skeptical, I would not consider paying a stranger who called me and requested a written statement. I admit I was angry and hung up the phone.
On March 30th, I received the statement and called Chase to see what could be done to correct the problem. It was my intent to pay the balance due ($82.96) by phone. I was informed that they could not accept a partial payment and I would have to Western Union the funds ($82.96). At that time, they had $2,172.24 of my money sitting in a suspense fund awaiting the balance of $82.96. For some reason, they cannot apply a partial payment and had to have full amount. I spoke with 5 different customer care representatives (Jamie, Tim, Mabel, Kyle and finally Rose) and was cut off 6 different times having to re-dial. I spent a total of 4 hours on the phone attempting to get this cleared up. Finally, I was told they would not report me late if I mailed 2 checks for $82.96, each one for the difference owed for March and one for the difference between what our impound account paid and what was due for April. I actually thought I had cleared this up.
On April 10, 2009, again I am receiving threading collection calls, even though they have cashed my 2nd check for $82.96 and have had my $2,172.24 in the suspense account since 1 April, which makes up the total payment due of $2,255.20. They are not applying that to my April Payment and insisting that I am late. I was told that it was an auto dialer and when someone answered, they were instructed to try to collect the debt. I do not know how to make them go away.
In all my years paying mortgages, I have never had a problem such as this. I did not take out my mortgage with Chase; my lender sold my loan to them. I also had one of my credit cards with Washington Mutual sold to Chase and the interest went from 8% to 18%. When I contacted Chase to see about lowering the payment, I was told they were not even discussing this with customers. In both cases I did not seek out Chase, nor would I have gone with them. Is there nothing to protect consumers from these parasites? We are spending trillions of our tax payer dollars to bail out this **, but who’s helping us?

As a realtor in Tucson, AZ, I have never had such a horrible experience as the one I have had with Chase. Of course, with any transaction, there are situations that arise. But dealing with Chase has been an eye opener. My clients have banked with Chase for years and insisted on going with them for their mortgage. We put an offer in on a home that was bank-owned. The bank that owned it was, yes, Chase. Did this make it any easier? No. In fact, the original contract date was February 7, 2009. The sellers' agent and myself had everything completed by February 20th, and were just waiting on underwriting.
It is now April 10, 2009 and I am getting the same response - we are almost done. Well my clients are almost done too. They had to jump through hoops with the loan department and have stated that they now don't care when it closes since Chase doesn't seem to care. These are first-time home buyers and it has been a horrible experience. It takes three to four days to get a call back from anyone or even an email response. The seller (Chase) has even threatened to charge my clients $100 per day for being late and even cancel the deal. But it is Chase who is taking their time. The loan officer then had the nerve to ask me to send more business her way. Not a snowball's chance in hell! It makes realtors look bad when they are put in these positions with their clients. My clients come first. Don't deal with Chase for your home loan, unless you enjoy pain!

They have had my escrow account screwed up since 2006. Now I am paying over $120 more a month because they proclaim my escrow account is once again negative $200. This all started when they claimed I didn't have homeowner's insurance. After proving them wrong in Dec. of 2007, USAA, my Insurance company, straightened out that mess. They are still charging me outrageous amounts for a payment. If I were to get a loan of the same type with the original purchase amount, 30-year fixed loan, and with my current taxes and insurance rates, it's only around $757, not $890. I call and call. They never give me an answer other than my escrow account is $200-$500 negative. But at $500, it's still not a charge of $110.00 a month. They keep compiling late fees and inspections fees that I didn't approve.
I have the BBB involved with this matter since Oct. of 2008. With no resolution, they just send letters stating they called x amount of times and we never answered. They have a cellphone #. They have my new address because the home listed I'm not currently living in. It's amazing how I receive the statements for the payment but none of the important documents they supposedly send. I did turn this over to some Federal currency company today. It's getting frustrating, with no results. They are even blowing off the BBB now. This matter needs to be resolved.

Never again will I deal with these scatter brains, and it's no wonder the banking system here is so screwed up.
I have sold all my household goods at less than they are worth, so I can be a caregiver for my mother about to be released from the hospital to go to her home to die. My siblings can't keep going back and forth so I've made the decision to do that 100% of the time until she dies. I'm done here and if Chase fouls this up much more, the buyer will walk and I have a house sitting empty with no buyers. This was a Grade A deal for them to close, not the crap they've been buying for years. If I knew I could sue, I would.

I have been asked to write yet another hardship letter. In truth, the only hardship we have had for the last year and more is Chase's refusal to allow us to pay our mortgage. Our only liability is this house. This hardship(?) is solely due to the actions and inaction of various Chase Home Finance HAD employees. We were quite ready and able to start making our payments again early in 2008 but were prevented doing so by the HAD.
As I have said ongoing for over a year now, we had some glitches. They were, within 2 months as I promised, overcome. It was a short term issue and the HAD made it into this whole huge nasty mess all by themselves. When we had a workout in place with the ERD in June of 2008, all it took was one woman from HAD to set it back to square one. And that one woman's actions created a snowball effect that brings us to present day.
At the moment, we are dealing with significant lessening of income due to the economy but still have enough revenue to support the $2500 monthly payments I have suggested even in a bad month.
We have not escrowed money; that would have been silly. We kept trying to make payments to Chase but were told again and again that we were not allowed to do that and that the monies would be returned to us if we did. Instead, we have paid off other bills and significantly reduced our debt to our second mortgage/credit line with GMAC while Chase kept refusing our payments.
We have paid off our car, and we have made some much needed repairs to the house (septic system and yard repair $9,000 in May/June 2008). This means that we will not have massive amounts of funds available to give your company at the outset, but we will indeed be able to start with the payments suggested at the time suggested and go forward from there.
This house is not only our single liability, it is also our major tax exemption as a full 2/3 of it is used as office space for the medical practice. With the event of not having been allowed to make these payments to our mortgage, we have incurred a great deal of tax debt that will have to be dealt with in the near future. As I have said before, the only debt we have is this house. All things considered, I think that we are doing pretty well if we only have a mortgage payment, utilities, business and personal expenses. We carry no major credit cards. We have no car payments. We have no debt other than this building that is our home and office, which is in sad need of major repair.
How many people do you personally know with 0 credit card debt who have only a mortgage to pay? And yet, here we sit.

I have had my mortgage with Chase for close to its entirety. I'm always current. I called about refinancing and was quoted a rate that would save me a month. I also asked what my total costs would be and Jason ** told me. The savings fit in the parameter to recoup that amount in about two years. I told him to lock me in and send the paperwork. He told me he could only lock me in if I applied on the phone and paid a $750 non-refundable application fee. I said, "I am already with Chase. You have all my information." He said that didn't matter. I reconfirmed the amount he said it would cost me and the credit I would get back on the $750 when the loan closed. I proceeded to forward with him.
However, when the actual loan application paperwork showed up for my signature, Jason had not informed me of the other items I would be paying for which doubled the amount he told me on the phone and in an e-mail. He even admitted that a lot of people get confused thinking the original amount he quoted me would be all my out of pocket. But then when I e-mailed saying I wasn't going to sign and submit this application and that I wanted my $750 back because he didn't inform me not only of my total costs (ever heard of RESPA, Jason?) nor I realized my APR, I have not been able to get a response from him or his supervisor's supervisor, Jeff **. Without my knowledge, they took three consecutive mortgage payments and applied them to property taxes of which I was less than two years in arrears. They never informed me of this and counted all these payments as late. Once I finally discovered what was happening, I made arrangements to make several double payments to catch up which I made as arranged. No matter how much I sent them, it was never enough to become current. Every time I called them, they quoted me different amounts. One person would tell me I was completely current and then two weeks later, they would call and tell me I was three months late. This went on for over a year when I decided to sell the house at a bargain price just to get them off my back.

Chase purchased our 1st & 2nd mortgages about 6 months after our original loans were made. It was the third transfer of our mortgage. Our interest rate was 6.125% on a 2-yr. ARM. with a total very manageable payment of $932/mo. on $140k. We knew that we needed to lock in a rate or refinance before it went adjustable but we were always denied for debt-to-income ratios. In Feb. 2007, I got injured at work and went on Labor & Industries for several months at 62% of my income. Our mortgage had started adjusting in Jan. 2007 and moved sharply higher every 3 months until the interest rate was 10.125% and our payment was just above $1600/mo. We made it the rest of 2007 by not paying anything (credit cards, loans, etc.) but our mortgage and borrowing money from family.
In Dec. 2007, Chase offered us a deal to lower our payment and get out of the ARM loan that had financially destroyed us. They called it a loan modification. We accepted the offer in desperation to do anything. The offer was for 9.125% with a payment of $1462/mo. but in desperation, you will do anything and we signed the paperwork. Shortly after signing (Feb. 2008), they sent us a notice transferring our 2nd mortgage to Dyck O'Neal, a collection company. They sold off what would have been their loss if the house foreclosed and set us up with another payment we could not afford. Chase took advantage of our situation and even exploited another company to take the loss after setting us up with a loan we could not afford to pay.

I currently have my mortgage with Chase. I recently sold a second home and wanted to refinance the current mortgage for a lower rate and repayment length. Great! Ryan ** the loan specialist gave the terms and the necessary info to get the ball rolling. This was on Sept. 5th. All paper work requested was submitted and the loan processor Shukri ** took over. She said that an appraiser would contact me and complete the appraisal and we would be ready to close on the loan. The appraiser did contact me and set up a day and time for the appraisal. The day and time came and went without any appraiser or any contact.
I then contacted Shukri and explained what happened and requested that the appraisal be assigned to another company. She said that would delay things and she would contact the appraiser and see if anyone else was available to do the appraisal. In the meantime the appraiser contacted me and said that he had never missed an appointment and his wife was ill. I said fine, let's set up another day and time. On the day I was flying home from work to meet the appraiser, I received a call on my cell phone to inform me that that appraisal had been cancelled by Chase and that the appraiser could not do the appraisal. I then contacted Shukri to ask what was going on and she did not have a clue.
However, she said she would make a few calls to see what happened. The order was resent and another day and time was scheduled for the appraisal. Finally the appraiser made it on time. The next week Shukri scheduled a closing day and time. The day before closing no word from Chase. I called Shukri and wanted to know if we were set to close on the date given. She wanted to know who gave us that date. Once again, she did not have a clue. I then called Ryan the loan advisor and told him of the situation. He said that he needed to be the contact person for the future. I was then notified that the appraiser had a medical emergency and would not be able to complete the appraisal.
Therefore, another time and day was set up with another appraiser. Ryan called and apologized and said it would be made up in closing discounts and that he would contact me on Friday. Of course Friday came and went without contact. Therefore, the following Monday, I called and left word to contact me. Of course there has been no contact. This is Oct. 21 and the 60 day lock in rate will soon expire. Credit score is in 800's. I guess Chase does not need to retain good customers during economic woes! Oh well, some company will take advantage of the situation.

So, we need to take in the obscene amount of money to the County clerk on Thursday the 23rd to pay our taxes when we have already been paying them through our monthly payment with Chase.
We have to wipe out our saving account to pay something that we have already been paying on in our monthly payment on the home. And then we get to fight the county & Chase to get back the extra money that was supposedly sent to the county from Chase. What if we didn't have that money available in our savings? What if the payment couldn't be made? We would lose our home because Chase Home Finance has a bunch of non-caring idiots working for them!

I refinanced my home in 1-08. I told the broker and the title co. that I wanted my taxes to be taken out of mortgage payments. They understood and insured me in the contract that they were in. About March of 08, I had received a bill for taxes. I had notified Chase. They said they contact the county offices and take care of the taxes. Sept 08 I had received another notice that my taxes were past due. Now they doubled. I notified the broker that had refinanced my home. She had contacted them at Chase. They had raised my payment $156.00 a month. This is supposed to come out of my impound fees. I have a fixed rate. I'm being ripped off and I'm tired of it. I'm having a hard enough time making the payment now and now they raised it. They're supposed to be fixing problems, not make them worse because they screwed up.

About 2 weeks ago, I have been called on my cell phone with the person calling looking for a person they said was Dante **. I explained I was not him and have had this phone for 2 years and to please not contact me again. This week, I had four calls- two calls from 813-881-2272 and two from private number showing on my cell phone all looking for the same person. Today I drove 30 miles to Wichita Falls office of Chase and spoke with Sara **. She spent about an hour on her computer to find Dante. Then my cell phone rang from private number calling and I passed the phone to her and she spoke with the caller who was with Chase mortgage division. She finally found Dante and he did have my phone number on his file. She said she would remove it promptly.
I explained to her I was harassed by Fannie Mae about this same person and finally threatened to call both us senators and my representative and ask them to help remove me from their call list for Dante. It worked - no more calls. So I left the Chase office at Wichita Falls, Texas thinking I was Dante free at last- but no! Another call from the private number about 5:30 pm and another call about 9:00 and she would not identify herself and who she worked for. This is the last straw for me. I have a loan with Chase and will not be seeking a loan again. I suggest maybe my attorney will be contacting your Wichita Falls office. I will also be contacting my Washington senators to see if they can help resolve this harassment.

Yes, we were several months late with Chase on our home equity loan. Chase was unwilling to work out payment arrangements with us in our time of need (my husband was laid off work). This past week, I went to a Chase branch and made a large payment getting us caught up to less than 1 month behind. I started getting phone calls from Chase and was wondering why since I made a payment. I called the guy back and he said that I should not have made a payment, that I am in foreclosure and have an auction date for Nov 4th. And I should have received a letter from their attorney.....
Well, I never did. In fact, I have just received my bill. Which he said I should not have received a bill for the past 2 months. Well I have bills and asked him if he wanted to go a branch and show them since he didn't believe me. He said in order to get out of foreclosure, I will probably have to pay up to $1600 in attorney's fees. I hit the fan right about then. We were finally able to get caught up with all of our creditors and this with would keep us from getting current. I Asked for the attorney's phone number because if there was an attorney's bill I want to see what they have done because I never received one damn thing from them. He gave me their number. I called and confirmed with the attorney who said they just received our case, that they have not started anything with us or never sent us a letter.
WELL...it is less than a month away from the date this guy is telling me they are auctioning off our house. Aren't they supposed to notify us in writing???????? So by the end of last week, they told us, ok, if you pay $560 in fees (since by that time I have paid our regular bill making us completely current) that we would be in good standing and they would stop the foreclosure process. So we did. Now, yesterday, Tuesday, I get a call from this guy AGAIN... "I am sorry we made a mistake. You still owe us $340 to stop the process"... ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????
This should be SO ILLEGAL. What is going on? How can they just call me and I owe them more money after it was supposed to be taken care of? Why are they doing this? What happens next month? Are they going to this again? I was never notified for any of this. I am so ready to start a lawsuit against CHASE. Please email if you have had a similar situation. This is ridiculous and should not be allowed. But for $340 in FEES, we could lose our house if we don't pay this. We are going to have to pay this, but we are not keeping quiet about this.... People need to know their rights or lack thereof. Our Government Bails these banks out for $700 BILLION then our government needs to know that these banks are unwilling to work with the American people who are the real people that need bailed out. Contact if you want to start a law suit for a similar case. We have contacted an attorney in regards this.

My husband and I have a mortgage through Chase. We have fallen back on mortgage payments and have made several attempts to get help from them. They have yet to help let alone being able to talk to the right people... When you do get a hold of someone, they don't return any phone calls. We have a good amount in equity and have tried to refinance but my husband's credit score is too low. We are paying 9.25% interest and have a $9000.00 prepayment penalty. My husband has been cut back to less than 40 hours a week so the money is not as good as what it once was. They also told us our taxes were escrowed and they weren't so now besides being behind in payments, I have to come up with $4000.00 to pay my taxes. I was not able to be put on the mortgage because I found out I'm in the credit bureau as deceased so my husband had to sign the paper work. It's just out of control and us as consumers can do nothing about it... I have managed to make contact with a company who can hopefully turn this mess around and I can get back on track.

Like most of the other customers of Chase shown above, I fell behind on my mortgage payments. My husband died, I refinanced with Countrywide, and ended up with Chase. I do not particularly object to being contacted by Chase. It is their right to attempt to collect money due them. I do, however, object to their rudeness. I have found I can, with very little effort, become just as rude.
I was three months behind on my house payment and made two of those payments on September 30th. I told them at that time I would call them on October 15th to bring the account current. I received a call on October 1 to make payment arrangements. I told them I had told them I would call them on the 15th and that they didn't need to contact me prior to that. They informed me they could call me whenever they want (which they do....up to 9:30 p.m.). I receive calls every day, to which I respond as soon as they have identified themselves, "Have you read your notes? I'll call you on the 15th. Thank you for calling. Good-bye."
But to address my issues with Eva ... She called me one day at work (they have been repeatedly requested not to contact me at work). I told her to give me her number and I would call her back. She kept trying to engage in conversation, which I could not do because I work out in an open office and I do not particularly want everyone to know my business. After I made the request for her phone number 3 times, I hung up the phone. A short time later, I received another call from Eva (even though I had already talked to her...to the extent I could). She asked me if the receptionist had delivered her message.
Of course, I didn't really know what she was talking about, since our receptionist doesn't really take messages... We all have voice mail. I told her I had not received a message from the receptionist, so she proceeded again to engage in conversation. I told her if she wanted to give me her number, I would call her later. She still chose not to give me the number, said the receptionist had it. I think the whole thing here was nothing more than an attempt to embarrass me at work. A little later, the receptionist delivered a message to me. I called to complain to her supervisor; however, he lets all messages go to voice mail and does not return calls. I think they break 90% of the Fair Debt Collection rules. I just don't understand how they keep getting by with it.

Over a year ago, I noticed that my property taxes weren't being paid by Chase. I was under the impression that it was because of Homestead Exemption. I called them and was told that I wasn't exempt. I am a disable veteran with a 70% disability rating. I called my Tax Assessor's office and was told that I needed to send proof of disability, which I did right away. It really didn't make a difference at the time, because I was paying property taxes for 2007 and wasn't exempt until this year.
The problem is that Chase mismanaged my account and failed to pay the property taxes, which caused my escrow to be in default and now I have a shortage spread. My mortgage has gone up by $400 due to their incompetence. I was talked down to, as if I were the one that didn't understand what was going on. She wanted to point the finger at the Tax Assessor, in which they had indeed sent the bill, it just wasn't paid properly and now I have to pay for it...literally! Nobody wants to accept responsibility for mismanaging our account. I am so fed up with Chase and am in the process of looking to refinance with another company! I DO NOT recommend Chase for any business dealings!

I was approved for a loan modification in July 2008. In order to finalize this, I was to send in a good faith payment by way of certified check and have the paperwork of the new mortgage agreement notarized and mailed back to Chase Home Finance in their return FedEx envelope. Called and checked to see if documents were received and the representative said yes and said the papers go to Texas and the check to California. As of Aug 8, everything is still fine and I called to verify 1st payment amount due on the new mortgage and also the date due.
Aug 19, called again to reconfirm payment amount due before sending. Aug 27, sent payment via Western Union (payment was due Sept 5). Called Chase with confirmation number. Around Sept 15, received legal paperwork about foreclosure from Carbon County Prothonotary office. Called Chase and was told everything was ok that they were going to fax the papers to their lawyers updating them about the modification. Sept 22, received Western Union payment back in the mail. Called Chase and at first they said that they did not receive the cashier's check and then later when transferred someone else said similar and then after being transferred 4 more times they received cashier's check but not the notarized papers which was explained to them were all in their prepaid return FedEx envelope.
Sept 23 talked to supervisor Marcy **. She placed a hold on the acct because she does not understand why the good faith payment was received and the papers were not. Marcy seen in computer that Sept payment was made on time. She also stated that in her computer she had seen the numerous conversations with Chase I had about payments, etc. Marcy said she was sending emails to all the management to see why things are not being documented and why check was received and not the papers. I was told to call back in 48 hrs to give management time to respond. Asked also about the court papers that were sent to me and she stated "No worries".
Sept. 24 Chase says" final word" on the notarized new agreement was that they did not get it. Chase said that they were checking into possibly reopening the loan and sending out a similar agreement for us to sign and return otherwise. Chase said that we would have to reapply. Sept 26 Chase was sending out a new modification agreement overnight for us to sign and notarize. I waited all weekend. Sept 29 Chase acknowledged Friday's conversation. However it's under accelerated review. I have been in contact with representative McCall's office in Lansford, PA. I spoke to a man named Bill who told me to fax my last correspondence with Chase and I also faxed to him my story which is the same as you see here. I had to fax them 2x by the way because the first time the fax was not received.
After waiting a few days, I called back and was told he was in contact with people from Harrisburg who help people in similar circumstances and he said they were going to call me and to let him know when they do. Well they have not called yet so I will call him and have him give me their number. I have decided in the meantime to reapply as it was mentioned to me to be a possibility of having to do so anyway so I figure what the heck. Chase gives me a fax number. I send out 2 faxes from 2 different locations so I do not have hear them tell me that they did not get the fax. Well guess what... They tell me that I sent the faxes to number that does not exist. Ok so I get another fax number and I go to yet again 2 more fax machines and fax.
I call about the faxes and Chase tells me that 2 of the papers were not legible and they tell me to fax them again to another number and guess what number that was... The number that they initially give which I was told was non-existent. God help me. So I go fax again and this time I also mail the papers certified and with return receipt. So as of the moment this is all. I wait and I hope and pray for the best for my family.

We refinanced for a fixed rate of 4.75% fixed for 30 years, no cost, no points and no pre-payment. No copies were given at the time of signing just promised to be sent in a few days. We requested them numerous times but were just given the runaround. After we received our first statement about 6 weeks later, we noticed the loan was changed to a 7.5% pick-a-pay adjustable loan and $20,000 was added to our balance without our consent. We notified them right away explaining what had happened and they assured us everything would be corrected. After 2 months of calling and being given excuses we realized that we were involved in a scam. We have even found a federal court case against these same people. They have been reported to all the agencies and police and we are still looking for the best attorney to help in cases such as this.

Was out of work for a little while and got behind on bills. Have a lot of equity in our home so went to a branch and ask for equity loan to consolidate all our loans into 1. Branch approved our loan and set up a payment for the loan. They then stated it would need to go to the underwriters and then sign some papers. The underwriters called and said we would need to give them 600.00 dollars to finish loan process so we give it to them. Then 3 days later, they come back and say they denied the loan and keep the money because it was non-refundable in which none of this was discussed. Now they are charging a Miss/fee that is wrong.

My husband went into real state in 2007 and things got really bad on the market. We got behind on our payments month after month. My husband informed Chase on what was happening. We lived in the house for almost 10 years. My husband even wrote them a hardship letter because of the changes in our finances. Then we begin the process of a short sell due to the fact we could no longer make any payments. We had a buyer ready to purchase the home to keep us from foreclosure. But Chase denied the offer and now we are out of our home. Now my question is how many more will have to suffer the way my family and others are suffering at the hands of this mortgage company that doesn't care for homeowners and their families?

We signed a escrow agreement stating that Chase would pay our local taxes and insurance. They were notified several times that the taxes were not posted on our property and the last straw was when we received a certified letter from the county that our home was going up for sale. It took Chase Mtg 2 years to resolve our county taxes. They never followed up to verify the taxes were posted to our property and then we were give 7 days to prove that the taxes were either paid, pay them ourselves (even after Chase had our money!), or allow the county to put our home up for sale because Chase did not resolve this matter in a timely manner.
We paid our mtg payments every month and on time- we were not delinquent at all. Doesn't CHASE have a obligation to verify and or receive receipts that our local taxes were paid to date? Our property was in jeopardy of going up for sale if the money was not received.
It took this company 2 YEARS AND repeated phone calls to resolve this matter with the local tax office. Part of our Escrow contract states it is agreed they would pay our taxes in a timely manner. However, if they never verified that the taxes were properly posted to our account, how can they justify they fulfilled their part of the contact?

My husband was recently laid off and we suffered a loss of income. I contacted my mortgage company, Chase, to ask for help in the form of a deferment or a forbearance. I have been waiting for over 3 weeks for an analyst to contact me. Apparently the analyst can call me at their convenience and has no supervisor whatsoever. I have been asked to be connected to a supervisor and I am told no.
As of tomorrow, I will gain a 30 day mark on my credit. Why is it that one of the largest lenders in the US is able to act in this matter? I have done everything that they asked and they refuse to speak to me. I have spent 45 minutes on hold each time that I have called their Homeowner's Assistance line and still I have no answer/no help. I have also tried to contact them via email and they don't respond to anything! Please help!

In April, 2008 I called a Chase representative and asked if our interest rate would increase this year. And if so do we need to refinance for a lower interest rate? However, we had been working hard on improving our credit score and it was good and we couldn't afford a higher monthly payment. He put me on hold to talk to his supervisor and check to see if it was to increase. He said, it will not increase for at least 2 more years and not to worry, it's staying at a 8.8% and payments will be the same at $1,685.00. Then in June, 2008, we got a letter from Chase saying our interest rate was increasing to 10% on July 1, 2008 and payments would now be $1,998.00.
Now we are struggling to make each payment and have fallen behind 2 and a half months. I have been on social security disability since 2006 and my husband has been employed by the same company for 18 years. I do chemo therapy once a week as part of my treatment and stress aggrivates my disease so now my doctors have increase my medications because i've been getting worse. We have 3 young children and my husband built this house himself in 1998/1999.

Right after my divorce, Home went into foreclosure a week before had a closing day for sale. They said they needed to add attorney fees and penalites anyway.
They will not provide us with a payoff amount to close and I am losing the sale of the home due to buyers already waiting a month. They keep losing the request and are very rude over the phone. Title company has asked for last four weeks and myself and they cannot get it together for us to pay them off. What a night mare!
Loosing sale of home plus the equity we would get for the sale. Want to sue and complain but to who
