My experience was good, accurate and to the point.

The whole process was done in a very timely manner. My son who assisted me with this was very impressed with all the followup calls from the company on the status of this loan. Thank you all for the peace of mind.

We applied for a reverse mortgage and were treated with courtesy and respect. Our forty year old home looks brand new and is now handicapped accessible. Thank you.

Loan Officers made a major assumption that our HOA fees were in arrears and put them into the loan docs. I was not notified that this was done and found it on the first closing. I stopped the closing and brought it to our rep's attention. Because of my great behest the loan company ordered it corrected. The second close went through with fees attached from the error in the first closing. We did receive a refund. After the closing when we had made a declaration that we wanted further transactions sent our bank we received the document back and someone had altered it after closing.

A reverse mortgage is the smartest non-investment a senior citizen can make. No more P & I (save it). Equity diminishes at approx. 4% annually, but the home value appreciates per the market growth in that area. Not a complete wash, but close. Now for the bonus - Line of credit - growth of 5.211%. My equity was just sitting there, and now it's growing (and not taxed!) Cash available when needed. Victor ** was my AAG agent. Very professional. Easy to understand. Humble in his approach to my individual needs. Extremely good communicator. I am so pleased w/ AAG and my reverse mortgage. Thanks so much.

Excellent experience with representative Kyle **. I would recommend this type transaction to anyone, who, as I, have no heirs. I have used the Reverse Mortgage for cash once...at the time of approval.

Adam was so helpful from beginning to the end of the whole process. He is very professional and caring, not just because it is his job, but because he loves what he does, and it really comes thru in every aspect. While verification of income was a bit problematic, our Representative guided us through and everything went smoothly.

AAG not very organized on the front end. Could not get in contact with first person who started process. Talked to 2 different people and finally had to talk to manager to find out process and status. Would be nice if you had one case manager to take you through the whole process.

I gave this rating of 4 stars because during the loan I was prompt with their requests of me. At some point in the loan application my rep. left the company and made no mention to me. I was in limbo for several weeks. I then contacted management, as to the problem and was back on track. They expedited my loan and I was pleased once again. All in all I was happy with the experience.

We initially had another company, which put us thru hoops and still didn't help us, then they walked away from us because of ground rent. Anyway, I contacted your company and we were treated with the utmost respect. I explained our situation and your company did everything they said they would. Every person we talked to went out of their way to get this reverse mortgage done. We thank your company and staff for being the true professionals in this field.

Very scary at first but now have a peace of mind knowing that I have financial security and the funds are available as needed. I know now I made the right decision to go with AAG. Everyone was so helpful and informative.

Although I was on the East Coast Keith was always available for questions and updates. Like most loans there were items that came up but with Keith's there things were able to be addressed and the closing went well. Thank you Keith.

I got a Reverse Mortgage through AAG 7 years ago and cannot say enough good things about my experience dealing with them, especially Bryan ** who was my support through this. His professionalism, patience, accuracy, and understanding was so very much appreciated. I would most certainly recommend AAG to anyone however, am sad that you don't service Massachusetts any longer.

We were told things that the AAG loan officer would do, and then did not follow through. The application process was full of errors by the AAG loan officer and the multiple departments. Therefore, what should have been a 30-day process was over 60-days.

Reverse Mortgage - This was a good thing we did.

My business transaction with AAG was handled very professionally and efficiently. I was given answers to any questions that I had and the experience was done in a most timely manner. I have been able to make the most of my retirement financially.

All went very well. However, very long process.

My father was running out of his retirement and he was still healthy and capable of living alone, so we called AAG for the Reverse Mortgage to see what they could do. My father is now living his life without worrying about losing his home! We are very satisfied! Thank you AAG!

My experience with AAG was positive. I was given all the information I needed regarding a reverse mortgage. I was in contact with Kyle ** throughout the entire process. He was considerate and patient and always asked if I had any questions. And, yes! I would recommend AAG to a friend.

Our closing date kept getting pushed out. We closed almost 4 weeks from our original date. Except for that all went well and the people we worked with were friendly and helpful.

At one point during the process, which to me was in a critical area, I lost contact with everyone and had no clue what had happened. Later learned everyone had gone on vacation without letting me know they were not available and I was left thinking you had dropped me.

Your representative, Ron **, was incredibly helpful and a joy to work with.

Must wait a year for funding then it takes 5 more days to transfer into my bank. Ridiculous!!!

I was not told that I would have to pay mortgage insurance and even at that I was unaware that it was more expensive than regular home house insurance. That's one big rip off.

It took a little longer than I expected but in the end it was just what my wife and I needed to live a comfortable life as soc. sec. is not enough to live on, especially in Calif.

I think Milton ** is one of best agents that AAG has. Very smart on all subjects and very well educated on all subjects. Could ask to work which any body better. If you need to know about reverse mortgages this is the man. Very kind and pleasant, great to work with.

I found the people at AAG to be extremely helpful. They were always there to answer my questions and very clear in their instructions on what I needed to do at each step of the process. I was keep very informed and up to date on the process. I have already recommended them to my friends and will continue to do so in the future. Happy Customer.

The only five-star I would give would be to account manager Ryan **. He is a professional and very good at communicating. Other than Ryan, previous individuals were very poor at responding to my inquiries. Plus, it took five (5) months to finally secure the Reverse Mortgage! Many of whom I dealt with just didn't seem to care. How hard is it to answer a telephone call?

AAG was able to provide a reverse mortgage for me when two other providers could not. However, throughout the process it was very difficult to get information from the agent. Numerous phone calls were not returned and one day he became annoyed at my calls. The fees they charge seem to be quite a bit higher than other providers.

I applied for and received a Reverse Mortgage. The whole process took a lot longer than advertised. From start to finish it took 6 months. Plus I believe the “Closing costs” to be excessive - in my case over $7,000. That is a lot more than a typical bank charges.

We had prompt, efficient service. The people we were working with were very knowledgeable. We would recommend them to others if they should ask.

Whomever I talked to in Ca. could not understand some people have a mailing address and a residence address. Gave a bit of an attitude.

Kevin ** was instrumental in making the AAG reverse mortgage process a very pleasant experience. He was knowledgeable, responsive, and particularly kind to my mother.

It took some time to complete everything, as there were always obstacles in the way. We worked with more than one adviser, being shuffled here and there. But everyone worked to get the mortgage finalized.

I am very pleased with AAG and highly recommend them to others. AAG is very knowledgeable about content and makes sure that you are educated about details. Very efficient, proficient, people of integrity, and works very hard to ensure that your needs are met in a time manner.

Everything was handled promptly, accurately and professionally. Was pleased with the easy time I had contacting someone when I had a question.

It took a lot longer to process and it seemed redundant in the end asking for the same things that were submitted in the beginning (such as bank statements, insurance carrier, etc). I wish that they had a website to ask for a draw request vs having to fax it each time.

Mr. ** was excellent but the Tax department was a little slow on paying our real estate taxes. Customer service was also very good.

We had a great experience working with Gregory ** on our reverse mortgage. He answered every question we had and responded to our phone calls, voice messages and e-mails in a very timely manner. Debra ** was very pleasant to work with, and she was very knowledgeable in the Reverse Mortgage Rules and Regulations. She was always available for my many and repetitive questions. My only dislike was that the procedure took so much time.

Services were great. I only regret you all are receiving more money more than I.

Main cause: we did not understand the interest to be paid on the principal (probably should have but...) so we are paying more interest now than we did on the programs that you paid for us in full. Then FEMA forced us to buy Flood Insurance in a very dry land which added another bundle. We were told that we should take it out and then cancel when loan went through... not true. We have our house up for sale so hope to take care of this all soon.

Our experience in every phase of the loan process from beginning to end went very smoothly. Our loan officer Gerardo ** was excellent to work with and he made certain that each phase of the loan process went well and was very good at answering any questions. Overall experience was excellent.

I would not hesitate to recommend AAG to anyone seeking a reverse mortgage. They kept me informed through the entire process and compared to other companies I looked at they were far more reasonable with their fees. I give them an A+.

Very displeased with the change in value for my home. After the Appraiser valued our home and AAG in California changed the value of the house, we received less than what was expected. It look to me that AAG want to get this done before the new rules went in to effect, so they would not have to give out MORE money. Very dissatisfied with the outcome.

I couldn't believe how easy Kyle made the entire Reverse Mtg process for us. We called to just get information because we had heard of the Reverse Mortgages, but wasn't quite sure how they worked. He sent us information and talked to us on the phone often to answer any and all questions we had. We even had our son here because he needed to know how it would work when something happens to us. He also had questions to be sure we were protected and Kyle was able to take care of all our concerns. He walked us thru what would happen next when it came to the counseling call that is required and all the paperwork.

Process was slower than I had hoped. However, the process was clean and precise.

Right from the start I was told the incorrect information about the details of the reverse mortgage. Some three months ago I had an excellent experience of working on my Reverse Mortgage with AAG, particularly with their Loan Officer, Kyle **. A retired court stenographer, now actor and writer, as I approached my 67th year—another year of coming up short financially—my sister now in remission from Stage 4 cancer, we began planning her lifelong dream of a three-week stay in a farm house in Italy. But how was I going to pay my fair share? As Serendipity would have it, I booked a small part in an AAG commercial. On set, the representatives from AAG were so very kind, I found myself ordering the reverse mortgage information packet. From there, I researched the pros and cons of the mortgage and soon contacted the lender. My connection began and ended with the calming voice of one Bryan **. He never pushed me for a decision, informing me that in order to qualify, my Hollywood bungalow must appraise at a certain amount.

I am retired on Social Security Disability and was struggling with my mortgage payments. I'd contacted my mortgage companies several times over the last couple of years asking for refinancing on my home. Over and over all they gave me were false promises that ended with decline after decline. I was so discouraged and very depressed. I felt so alone and absolutely at the end of my rope on every level when I finally decided to apply for a Reverse Mortgage with AAG.

I felt the experience was mostly positive. I felt AAG was a very professional company to do business with. I was disappointed that it took much longer than I expected. First, my homeowners association did not cooperate efficiently with AAG, taking a long time to deliver a requested document. Second, my Federal Credit Union apparently freezes an account when a payoff amount is requested. This information was not communicated to me by either my credit union or the person preparing closing documents. Other than that, I felt the experience was pretty painless and my account manager was very professional and thorough.

With the help of our reverse mortgage, I was able to remodel a bathroom for my mother, who has to use a walker and install a safe shower, with seating and safety bars. And with what we have now available I can do some more remodeling and have peace of mind by having money on hand, in case of future need! Thank you very much!

It was fairly simple to go thru the process and everyone was pleasant to deal with. Time will tell if we made the right decision or not. So far it has been as we had hoped it would be. We have and will continue to be very judicious about drawing on the funds available and it has relieved our stress over tax deadlines and such.

I would not recommend this product to anyone else -- ever. I was hounded month after month. Charged for insurance when I already had it. Had to make numerous calls to have the funds returned to my account. Then I was told my mortgage was in default because they failed to send someone out to take a picture of the new carpet (I had to buy with the funds I borrowed) for two weeks, passing the deadline by a few days. Further I was told since I was "in default" I would not have access to my funds for another 30 days.

They explained the process clearly and walked me through the entire procedure.

Honestly, the process of application and the courtesy and concern expressed through it all was just fine. What bothers me, ultimately, is that I was told the interest charged on the balance of the loan would increase based on the prime rate... Or at least that's what I thought I was told. But, the interest rate has gone up every month since inception. Kind of upsets me because I may not have taken a reverse mortgage had I known.

We feel that we have been misrepresented with the entire Reverse Mortgage process!!!

Brian ** was my, "go-to-person" when I wanted answers to questions I had about refinancing reverse mortgage. He was very helpful, very patient with this old lady, and I think he is quite an asset to AAG. Most importantly, I trust Brian.

Being in sales most of my life I felt a kinship to Victor and the way he presented himself first then his company. If you accept the person then you will also accept the company. My opinion of both Victor and his company was excellent, we were able to smooth out the rough edges and in time come out with a finished product. I have recommended Victor's services to my friends in hopes they would do as I have done.

My experience with the AAG people (Brian ** and Ashley **) in Orange, CA was very pleasant. Both were extremely helpful and friendly. As for the rest of the program, including Cambridge Credit Counseling, we were not impressed at all. And, the process took too long. Overall, we are satisfied with the program and would recommend AAG to friend or family.

I had received a call from another company concerning a reverse mortgage but I really was not expressed and really was not offering much information. I went to webpage of the Better Business Bureau and found that AAG had several impressive comments. I called the AAG and happen to get the best of the best agents. He was very informative, answered any questions I had concerning the reverse mortgage with very clear information. He always returned my calls that day if I had questions regarding what if or if not what I should be doing to complete the process. And I give Brian ** a big 5 star for his being always polite, no question was not important, very knowledgeable and gained my trust with the AAG.

I would recommend Miss Della to help anyone with their applications. She is well informed in everything she does. She makes you feel like you are her best friend. If I have any problems she will find a solution to help me. I highly recommend her to help anyone.

Got a reverse mortgage from AAG and was satisfied with agents and loan. I would have liked to pay mortgage punts but I didn't want to sell my home and move out of area. So a reverse mortgage was my best option.

The person who closed with us just took us. The first closing I myself did not sign. We were to see no funds back and AAG did pay the house payment. No plus for us and the man stayed silent. Who can be trusted? The gentlemen was told that we were in a financial bind and today that is even worse. We had gone through all of this with Quicken Loans and they dragged it out for eight months with threats? We were so glad to get away from them. We believed anyone. I'm sorry now you are telling us we may foreclosed on. My husband is not well and wants to control everything. I need help and do not know where to turn. I too suffer from depression for over 25 years.

I was initially afraid of pursuing this mortgage, but my age, need for some home reparations, and cash flow problems convinced me to go ahead. I was so lucky to be directed to Della **, who guided me through the entire process and answered my questions (coming from an inexperienced client) with a smile and occasional laugh. Perhaps all AAG agents are as knowledgeable and friendly as Della, but I doubt it. The entire process went smoothly and efficiently.

The process took longer than we thought, and my home value was below what had been suggested by other appraisals because the land was not considered. I don't think I would do it again if I was asked.

The agent assigned to my file could not have been any better. He made the entire process a very pleasant experience. He explained to me the steps my application would go through and always kept me informed of the status right until funds release. All in all a 5-star performance.

It all happened quite quickly. I received an email from AAG offering a reverse mortgage kit with a response. In my negative cash flow position, I thought I'd better check this out, and replied right away. We were very pleased with the way our reverse mortgage loan was handled. The young lady who was our main contact was extremely knowledgeable and when she didn't know an answer she found out and called us back or she referred us to someone else. One of their contract closers came to our house to close the loan and the money was in our account within a few days. Our loan was used to turn our house into an energy saving one. We had gas run to the house, bought a new gas range, installed a new gas furnace and new air conditioning, new thermostat, a tankless hot water heater, new and more insulation. Our efforts paid off with much, much lower utility bills. And we still have some of the loan in the bank for future needs or uses.
