I ask for proof of what I'm paying and that I'm actually paying a company and it’s not a scam. They tell me I need to finish paying first or that they will take me to court and let the judge deal with me. I think they should supply documents before anyone just paying especially you can't pay by check - you got to keep spending extra money on these money cards. Does that apply to our account?

I am using a previous commenters statement because they did the exact same thing to me - 700.00 total. "This company is unbelievable. They said that I was approved for an 8k loan. In speaking with them that they requested for me to send the first payment to them so that I could prove that I could make the payments. Then it was to send money for FedEx delivery - 2 times. First time they screwed up the city and zip code and said that I had to pay once again. Too much money to pay to get a loan from this company. Now they have my money and I have more debt and they promised that the money would be repaid and I would also receive the loan."
All of India descent with names like Donald ** and Erick ** calling from Kansas 785-340-9004. They provide a very legitimate looking loan contract... GET THESE GUYS PLEASE!!!

I acquired a loan from Ace Cash and paid the loan back in full and this was over three years ago. Now I have a group that has managed to get a hold of my online loan accounts that have been paid in full and they have sent me threatening letters telling me to pay off this loan or they have no choice but to take me to court and let my employer and human resource dept. know about this. The threatening letters have continued over six months and they obtained letter head posing as the DA office and now sent another letter and told me to contact them through email with my intentions with no phone number because I called and they didn't answer the phone saying what department they were with. When I told them that I was going to the police with this paper and information the man began to cuss at me and told me to go to the ** police and then I receive another threatening letter with a different person's name on it telling me to respond back to them in the email. I was a loyal customer of ACE for about 3 years. It just so happens that they stopped doing pay day loans in Washington, DC. Needless to say I was quite surprised when I received an email supposedly from them today saying I was approved for a loan. That was the 1st red flag. The 2nd was that the email address was acecashexpress@gmail.com. A legitimate company will have no need for a gmail address unless it is just starting out.
I immediately pulled up the real ACE website, got the President's email address and forwarded the fraudulent email to the President. Whatever I can do to help stop the scamming crooks, I am so going to do! Also, while I was in the middle of writing this, a call came in from the number in the email. It will be interesting to see what kind of message they have left me as I did email them back saying I had forwarded their scam letter to ACE's President. Beware folks and let's take these scammers down!!!

Called to verify the acceptance loan letter. As the person above states you get a middle eastern accented person you can't understand. They tell you you need to give them money to get the loan, "for FIDC insurance." When I stated I couldn't understand him and asked if there might be someone without an accent to speak to he became furious, yelled at me and told me my ability to understand him wasn't his problem! I told him their company was a joke and hung up.

I received threatening emails pretty much threatening to put me in jail if I didn't pay. Of course my first response was "omg!! I'm gonna go to jail and lose my kids for something I didn't do!!!" So I took a deep breath and used my brain. I emailed them back being very careful of the words I chose so as not to sound like I was admitting to something I didn't do then they could use it against me. I kindly asked them for dates and a copy of any and all proof on this matter and an address so that I could also send them a written request for this info and I would have it notarized and sent to them certified return receipt requested. If they did not email me this info that being it was the 4th time I emailed them back the same thing that I would then have no choice but to turn all of these emails over to my "lawyer" and that I have rights and that I believe that they are violating those rights and will have my lawyer do anything the law allows him to do. I have not heard from them in 4 days now and hopefully I won't again!!
This is so not right to scare the .... out of people, especially people that are already going through too much stress!!! Not bad for a women that dropped out in 8th grade to start a family. But I must say they had me for a minute and I was very tempted to just pay it so I didn't have to worry because I have kids and I'm pregnant and my main concern is always making sure my kids are ok especially because their father has past, they have no one else to depend on. Received several emails regarding a debt for 300 dollars, with interest and late fees totaling over 630 dollars from a company on Aug. 27. I've corresponded with them, Mistake Number 1, regarding the debt. When confronted with the debt, it sounded much like one other debt I had near that amount so I talked about paying it off. THEN the light bulb went off that night.
I contacted them this morning, August 28th, and asked for a detailed accounting of the debt they were trying to collect on and the "paralegal" on staff got defensive, stating she couldn't provide me with anything because it would result in defamation of their character and all documentation would be submitted upon receipt of full payment. So I pressed on. I then DEMANDED the paperwork be emailed to me to show I had the debt, but was rebuffed with their security processes forbid emailing documents. They followed up with "You have already received the hard copy. We do not have to send you anything else."
Now I know this is B.S., and I went to the FTC website and pulled the rule book off the shelf. I told them that I am entitled to ask for and WILL receive upon request all documents I have signed, including the date of the signing, the amount, the company name (because they wouldn't give me that on first email), they would provide me this within 5 business days, and then allow me 30 days to contest the debt. The agent countered with, "It will be sent to you upon receipt of full payment", and some other crap that they didn't have the paperwork on file until they file the complaint with the Court. I wanted to know which court they were talking about, but couldn't provide me with anything concrete. I know my rights, so don't be bullied. Tell them to **-Off or send the papers. I am considering my own action if I do not hear back from them by Wednesday in the form of a letter in the mail.

It's happened to the best of us working class people. We end up in a situation and need a loan. I don't know about a lot of you, but I don't have the family or friends resources when it comes to money, so I took the next best thing which was a payday loan. Actually I've done it quite a few times. Most instances, I've paid back my loan with no problem. But there were times I also fell short. I have only had ONE company garnish my wages for repayment. NEVER have I been to taken to or threatened with court for any payday loan service.
If you can avoid it, avoid it. But if you cant, make sure you go to a store front location where you can work with people you can see - not these internet loans. The loan is 80% bogus as far as the interest is concerned, and you will get a better deal working with a local institution. Please be careful, folks. For those of you getting calls, there is loads of info on the internet about how to deal with the scammers. Do your research before you go paying ANY money because you did not sign your contract with these people.
Apparently, I have a case open with ACE for fraud. I told the "attorney's" office that I would follow up with my attorney. A lot of times, these people get indignant and a little stupid. I don't even get bothered anymore. My "case" has been open for a year and several attempts have been made to reach me. No several attempts have been made to steal what little money I have. Like I said, I have defaulted before and never have been arrested or been to court or received a summons. Just make sure you know what you're talking about. I am very confident speaking to these people now so it doesn't get to me anymore. You also want to make sure that you are clear in the event that you do owe. ;)

On June 23, 2014 we received a generic email from Ace Cash Express with an approval code and a telephone number. My husband contacted this company on 08/02/14 to question the $5,000.00 loan approval that this company was offering. First, the heavy accented hard to understand foreigner advised us his name was “Daniel” and that we were approved for a loan. However, we were told since my husband’s credit score was low that the only way they would “guarantee” the loan is to have us secure the first month’s payment through a credit voucher or Green Dot Money Pak Card for the amount of $223.00. We had a lot of questions and it seemed the representative was getting frustrated with us asking a lot. He stated he would transfer us over to the finance department who would finalize our loan. After a short transfer, the same voiced male identified himself as “Richard”.
He continued to answer the same scripted message every time we would ask questions. He said go get a Green Dot Money Pak, add the $223.00 and within 15 minutes the transfer would be complete in our account. While talking with him, my husband researched “Ace Cash Express Scams” - What we found from other victims was so extremely helpful. Even though I felt sorry for the folks that have been scammed by this company, our family is grateful for those people that posted their experiences.
Then, my husband advised him prior to us giving any of our money that he had to think about this loan. The Ace Cash Express man became very hostile and defensive. He started screaming at both of us over the phone that the loan was already completed and ready for deposit into our account. My husband said no documents have been signed and that we do not want the loan. The man was not rational by this time and demanded either we send him the $223.00 or that he would either lose his job or take a termination fee from our account of $75.00. We continued to tell him he had no legal right to withdraw unauthorized transactions from our account.
Richard, if that is his real name, continued to talk over us and demand us to send the money. We refused and eventually hung up on him. Within a second, this man was calling us back. We told him he was harassing us and to not call us again. We hung up. He called again. This continued… Until the last call the man started cursing and telling us to suck his... We kept him on the phone cursing and stalling while we went directly to the police station while he was on speaker phone. When we walked in, I guess he heard us talking to the officer and hung up. He didn't call after that.
After my husband and I were talking, we think this is the same guy that called my husband about two weeks ago demanding him to pay money or he would be issuing a warrant for his arrest from the Florida Law Enforcement. Beware! The police officer told us to contact the Better Business Bureau. In addition to this, I would recommend that anyone experiencing this should also put an Alert with all three credit companies and do what you can to get this guy from preying on us American Citizens who work hard for our money!

I did an online installment title loan at the end of May 2014. I called after my first withdrawal from my bank account because I did not receive any confirmation email that my payment went through and I just like to have those for my records. I also was not able to go online to print one. When I called the lady I spoke to said, "No problem, we will send an email out to you", and she explained that since my loan was already set up on specific installments I would not be able to log into the system online. I was okay with that at that time. I called and requested to pay the loan in full on July 3rd., it wasn't set up to be paid off until August. I got that set up in late June and then the full amount was taken from my account on July 3rd as requested.
I called them on July 7th because I wanted something in writing reflecting my account was paid in full for my records in case there were any issues down the line. I was told that on July 8th I should get an automatic email reflecting my account was paid off, they just had to wait a couple days to make sure my payment was not rejected. Once again, I understood that. On July 9th I called to explain I never received any email, and I pointed out that the only email I have ever received from them was the one I requested on June 5th showing my first payment was made. I was transferred to a different department to help with the email. I got a lady on the phone and she told me that Ace doesn't send out any type of receipt. I thought this was odd and requested a manager.
At this point I had spoken to three different reps in 3 days trying to get a simple email stating my account was paid in full. I thought it was shady and odd that they could not provide that information. I got the manager on the phone and once I was able to explain what happened. He said, "We don't provide any type of receipt." I pointed out that I was able to get an email confirmation after my first payment when I called in back on June 5th. Only after I said that the manager, Michael **, said that he can input a request to get an email to me. I asked why I was told differently and he said, "Well the previous rep said she told you that she could put in the request." I asked if the calls were recorded and he said yes, so I told him to listen to the call before he tries to tell me what I was told. I am still sitting here without any type of written confirmation that my loan was paid. This is a company that does all business online and they are not able to provide an email confirming payment was paid?? That is ridiculous!

I kept receiving phone calls from this guy name Justin ** from "Ace cash express", so I finally answered, which is odd because he was the only person answering the phone and kept calling. Told me I was approved for 50000.00 dollars loan, never received no documents, but told me I had to pay $170.00 fee as my first month payment. He also told me since he couldn't withdraw the money from my account I had to go the nearest convenient store and purchase a money pack card. After that he told me for some reason they couldn't get in, something about a Swiss code? Then after that, he told me since the bank tried 4 attempts I needed to pay an additional 225.00 dollars penalty fee, and of course I did it. Once that was done, I was on hold for about 10-15 mins and he told me that the funds should be in my account in 30 mins. Of course nothing pending, no funds deposited. I called Justin at that same number and left a message.
2 hours later I talk to some senior lead officer who was very rude and said, "well there was an issue with your account and we can fix that with an additional $225.00", and I told him, "where was I suppose to get this money from, if that was the case I didn't need this loan"? He was very rude and nasty to me, and I told him this was utterly **, and I hung up the phone. The funny part of all this, I received an email saying how they regret for not giving me this loan. I was assessed out $495.00, of money I did not have. I needed money for school, bills, and mortgage. Till this day I am still getting phone calls from them. I should have went with my gut when he told me that he couldn't withdraw the money from my account. Afterwards, I called my bank and they told me my account was fine and they couldn't tell if anyone was tampering with it. I told him what my bank said and he literally started yelling at me. In result, never pay for anything to get something, and always listen to your gut because people are out here scamming people and I too was one of those people, especially when you're desperate and you're not thinking. They magically appear and screw you over, so people please be careful.

So, two years ago I filled out an application for a PAYDAY loan. IMMEDIATELY before I barely got finished, my phone started ringing from other PAYDAY loan vendors. I told them they weren't needed. I received the loan from the vendor I wanted. Ace Cash EXPRESS. I CHOSE to pick up from their store. About 3 days later I check my account and I have and Ach deposit of $200.00. I called my bank and after some investigation they found out the company and RETURNED the funds.
About a year ago, I started getting emails from ACE CASH SERVICES, stating I had a loan repayment for $900.00 with fees. I INFORMED them I have NEVER NOT REPAID A LOAN. Anyway, after getting these emails periodically, I called Ace Cash Express and inquired if I owed them any money and told them about the emails. THEY said it's a SCAM do not pay them anything. That was 3 months ago.
Well yesterday I received another stating much the same as I have read from the other complaints here. I looked up ACS to see they are different from ACE CASH EXPRESS and Good Golly Miss Molly- they ARE!! Please read the BBB's review especially the last part where they went to locate this "company". They believe it is a TRIBE loan- Miami TRIBE. BOTTOM line: what they are doing is most likely ILLEGAL in all states. CALL Your STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY!! REPORT THEM!! AND TELL YOUR BANK YOU DO NOT AUTHORIZE ANY ACH PAYMENTS TO ACS or anybody if you don't have any other ACH payments for other vendors. ON A POSITIVE NOTE-- ACE CASH EXPRESS IS LEGAL AND THEY WERE ALWAYS FRIENDLY TO ME!

The email contained the loan papers and a number to call. I called and a man answered immediately. I should have followed my first instinct and hung up... It was noisy and I couldn't understand him. He told me to go to this gas station and get a Green Dot MoneyPak card and loss 150 and the money would be deposited to my account. This was all I had. I really needed the loan because of an eviction notice.
I gave him the number off the back and he said the money would be deposited in 30 min... put me on hold and then said I had to pay an additional 200 because of some error. I told him I want my money back and he said there is a 150 cancellation fee... the same amount he just took from me. I hung up called back and got the same person. I told him this is a scam - I don't have money to throw away. He kept saying pay the extra and be promised I would receive the loan. I hung up because I was so upset that I let myself become a victim of fraud!!

I have had this acct since April 2005 and lost my card... I am a single mom and needed the money that was on the card. I couldn't wait for the new card so I was told that I needed to open a new card and make the transfer. So I did! Now I call trying to transfer the balance on this acct to my new acct to pay my daycare dues and was told I could not do it and I needed to call back and input my old pin. I did, and the pin did not go thru because this acct does not have an active card yet so I had to put my new acct pin since it does have a temporary card linked to it.
My questions: Why can I not transfer my money to my new card while I wait for this acct's card? I cannot transfer online because it asks to activate my new card which I have not received. This is very upsetting that I cannot transfer my balance and was told by one of your managers that I needed to wait for the new card and it would take 7-10 business days, really? So I'm left with no daycare for my daughter and in the verge of losing my job because of it and all the manager said was "I apologize" and a long silence happened after until I said, "Hello," again... I could not transfer my money and do not know what I'm going to do now... ;(

I filed online for a payday loan. I received several calls from Ace Cash Express stating that I was already approved for a loan. However they request that you deposit the payment amount on to a Green Dot card for verification that you can make a payment. As per Kelly, the money would not be taken from the Green Dot card and I would be able to transfer the money from the Green Dot card back onto my card once the verification process was complete. I called back later to verify that this was the exact process Kelly agreed yes the deposit is only for proof that you can make a payment as you can choose to have the deposit remain on the Green Dot card or they would definitely refund you the money along with the loan.
After applying the money to the Green Dot card I was asked to hold the line as the process would take 30 minutes. I was on the line well over an hour which includes the two drop calls after they had receive my information. Supposedly, while they transfer the money into my account. Only to find out that they give you another number to call which then required that I deposit $385.00 on another Green Dot Card for loan insurance purposes. When I indicated that I would be filing a report they ask what they do to help assist in the matter. However, the resolve was that if I didn't give them the $385.00 insurance money up front on another Green Dot card, I would forfeit the initial deposit and lose my money as the initial deposit was now being called a processing fee. They claimed that they needed that money to verify whether I would be eligible for the loan and the bank needed this money for verification and processing fees.
When I inquired why this information was not disclosed in the initial phone call they stated that they were the lenders and Ace Cash Express just collects the information and are unaware of how the process is completed and their other customers were all repeat customers who were aware of this process. After calling Ace back they stated that they were unaware of these fees and they would check with their finance department and call me right back. After calling them back again as they promised to call me back they stated that I needed to pay this insurance money first and that I was welcome to call the Better Business Bureau as they have done nothing wrong. The now pleasant customer service reps yelling and over talking me as if I were in the wrong for not wanting to pay an additional $385.00. They also stated that they would fire Kelly who was a new person for misleading me by stating on the recorded line that the initial verification deposit could remain on the Green Dot card.
15 minutes later I received a call from Green Dot asking whether I had received my loan via the wire transfer and if not then I would be receiving it by the next business day. He too claimed to be unaware of the $385.00 insurance deposit. The initial deposit was never at any time called a processing fee and I was assured that I would not have to pay anything. I have now filed a police report and will be consulting with my lawyer as Green Dot states that this is definitely a scam where this company uses Green Dot cards which are not traceable to the consumer and by the time you receive the information from Green Dot's investigation the company has already taken your money as soon as you give the access for verification and your money is in essence gone at that point.
Green Dot is not liable nor can they promise that once the investigation is complete that they can refund or retrieve any of your money as Ace moves the funds to another account leaving the account that your money was wired to a ZERO balance. I don't know about other states as some of these reviews state that they can walk into an Ace Cash Express and get a paper check but I verified with the locations closest to me and they stated that they do not offer loans of any kind in the state of Pennsylvania, all transactions must be done online. This is a scam. If anyone has actually receive their money then your were lucky. To anyone in Pennsylvania do not waste your time or lose your money.

This took place on a Saturday and so I traveled up to the Ace Express nearest to me to get the cash and I am told there is a problem with my loan application. So, I call from the location and speak with a rep over the phone and who hangs up on me after I give my bank info. Then I call back and the next rep tells me it's due to my financial obligations/income and I explain to her I have two part-time jobs that should be enough. I also said I only wanted to get a loan for $200.00.
The rep said I could not do an online showing two incomes if I didn't make over 900.00 with one job. I'm told I can apply at one of the Cash Express locations. I tell the rep I'm at the location. So, we hang up. I speak with the Ace employees and the lady was very nice, but after doing the paperwork and filling out the forms, she tells me I am not approved because of the 2 ACH on my bank account. It's funny I was laid off last year from a job I worked 14 years and would use ACE maybe one or two times throughout the years and I vowed I would never use them again because it is crazy to get a loan for $200 or $300 only to have to pay them almost $100 more on fees. Looking back, I was trying to get a measly $200.00 and gave up all my information only for them to reject my loan. So, did this make me mad?
Yes, it did but I saved $60.00 because they would have charged me the $60.00 fee for a loan of $200.00 which means the loan was only $140.00. The rest was only everyone that takes out a loan with them or any other loan company must know interest is crazy and what they're charging is absurd. I am so glad I get paid on Friday and just think they could have kept me as a loyal customer and earned a profit of $60.00 from the fee they would have charged. This is their loss because I will be telling everyone I know about my ordeal and never use them again.

My Husband got a small loan from Ace and paid back the amount which he borrowed. But because he was late on the payment, they charged him interest. We have been going thru a hard time lately financially. Today we received a call from Ace informing us that they will be filing a complaint for fraud at our court house if we do not call and resolve this matter with their law Dept. The whole thing started because he had been late on paying the original loan. The interest that had accrued was only $68 now it is over $200. Well he called them back and tried to resolve the issue. He had tried to explain his situation only to receive them being rude and nasty.
They insisted that he must pay it right now. He is 70 years old and on SS. And that the only way that they would except payment is if he has a credit card or Debt card. Which he does not have. Nor will they take it in cash if it is taken directly to the location where the loan was made from. My advice to anyone wanting to do business with this company is don't. They are corrupt and do not care what your situation or circumstances might be. They will make sure that you pay by any means possible.

Just answer your phone, talk to someone and set something up, they're more than reasonable, and usually not pushy at all. In the end, I hear all these reviews and a bunch of bad stuff from people about them but I've been doing business with them for years and have no complaints at all.

Customer service didn't any info on the old card, they say it was no longer in their system. Then my direct deposit came through at one time one week and has not come through yet, and my job distributed the funds the exact same time. Customer service is limited, they are outsourced, they are in Central America, and do not fully understand English. I do not recommend this card to anyone. BEWARE!!!!!

I have used Ace off and on since 2001. I never had a problem until recently when I did a title loan at the store. I borrowed the $ and in 30 days paid interest plus the 5% and that did not bother me. I went back before the actual due date and paid the loan in full by cash. The girl had already taken my money and when it got time for her to return my title, she could not find it. Her and the man who actually was the one who made the loan with me ran around behind the counter looking like they were trying to find the title. I asked how they lost it as I had seen him put it in a folder the day I took out the loan. Then the man said, "Oh yeah, the auditors were here the other day he must have taken it to corporate." I said why? They could not tell me why.
Well it took almost a week to receive my title back and I had to call corporate and got a runaround over there. I live 120 miles from corporate. When I finally received my title in the mail... they had put 2 liens, a 1st and 2nd lien on it; they did sign and release the lien but in another city where I had lived they never did that to the title. I still never got straight answers and they would put the phone on fax as I knew after a while they were not taking my calls. I have different area code as I just moved there recently and so I used a phone with a local number and bam they answered right away. So to you people who down others who are late and have problems or whatever ... I never was late, I paid the extra interest as they say you can do, so do not be to quick to think they won't do you wrong either.
I never have been later nor not paid a payday loan or a title loan and it does not make you feel comfortable to use them again. I have no problem with their interest but to not tell you that the you're going to take your title to corporate a 120 miles away then act like they do not know where it is, is not couth. I have used them all these years as I was satisfied; however this has left me a little unnerved.

About 3 years ago, my husband applied for a pay day loan in an ACE Cash store and got $200. We had one month to pay, but 2 weeks after applying, we started getting phone calls from people saying, "We know you took the money and ran to California. We are after you." Shortly thereafter, we saw fraudulent activity on his bank account, flagged it, and closed it. Here we are a year on down the road, and got another phone call saying, "We will have your husband arrested if you don't wire us $600 tonight. After that, we will have him arrested and charged with fraud." The account number they gave me was his social security number; I was immediately suspicious. However, I panicked, called the police and asked if he had a warrant, of which he didn't.
Now, here we are today, and getting a new round of calls. They are calling our friends, family members, and called my husband's employer 10 times in a row. Each time, they said they were with the "fraud division" and have an arrest warrant for my husband. These people are relentless. Finally, we found who has the debt (it's been sold 50 times) and guess what? It isn't the "fraud division". So, do NOT....I repeat DO NOT EVER get a loan from these people. $200 is not worth the years of harassing phone calls and scams you will endure.

I asked them to send me a letter to confirm, and they stated sure they would. I paid the amount they told me and I called several times to get that letter and they never sent it!!!!
Well, 10 years later, I get a call from a lawyer telling me that if I pay 250 dollars, this matter won't go to court. I told him I would not pay one dime. It was a paid debt and I will see him in court. I will take all these testimonials of ACE taking advantage of people!!!! Enough is enough... Anybody in Texas that would like to join me... I worked at this place for a while in their Ft. Wayne, Indiana location. The worst thing was the high pressure sales that they put us under. We sold these Prepaid cards with hidden fees and the district manager was obsessed with selling the cards because of the bonus money kickbacks we get for each one we signed up. I enjoyed the bonus and sold them to people who needed one, but she berated us over & over each day to sell more and more. Her tips on selling amounted to ways that we could trick the customer into getting one. Most of the time, the customers didn't even know they signed up for a card until we cashed their check and counted back their money and ended by saying "...and there's $10 more on the card," and hand it to them. If you wanted to cash your check and you didn't want the card, we literally had to call and get her permission not to sell them one. I wish 60 Minutes would go in there with a camera. I work for one of their competitors now and I love it. We get so many former ACE customers and their first question is always " I won't have to get a card, will I?"...

Two of the e-mails addressed me by name. One mentioned the exact amount I had borrowed from ACE. I picked up my approved loan in cash at a local ACE office that afternoon. When I went to my bank to deposit the loan, I found that another loan company had deposited the same amount I had borrowed from ACE into my account. Although ACE denies they shared my private financial information, there is at least two other companies who were privy to my financial information and at least one willing to access my account without authorization. The timing and details leave no other explanation.
Due to this security breach, I had to close my bank account, wait for a new ATM card, pay for new checks, etc. and I have no idea where else my info went but since this ordeal started, I've received 572 e-mails from lenders I'd previously never heard of and have never done business with. On Monday July 29 at roughly 6:50 p.m. I went to the Ace in McKinney, Texas to get a payday loan for the very first time. I did get the loan, but the events that played out during the visit both shocked and angered me. I arrived at Ace with our two children Logan who's 4 and Mia who is almost 8. Upon entering the establishment my four year old slips on a spot on the floor, falls and busts his lip and nose. By busting I mean Logan's shirt was covered with blood. I thought he knocked his teeth out. Now when he fell and injured himself I saw the blood and immediately asked the two employees for paper towels to cover the cuts, and stop the bleeding (since the area for customers has no restroom, or even chairs for that matter!) After I asked the first time the two employees stood and stared at me as if they couldn't understand what I was saying. I had to scream "Oh my god, can you people help me?" At which the male employee Kyle, casually walked to the rear of the establishment and got a small napkin.
Now upon seeing the severity of the incident a small napkin would hardly suffice. I had to go to the car with Logan in my arms, so I could be out of the heat and able to sit down and keep his head back to stop bleeding. At no point did anybody offer to help with the door or offer any aid. I made it to the car and luckily there was a towel and a bottle of water there for me to care for him. So I get the bleeding under control and inform Kyle that I am in the middle of an emergency and I need to speed things up as fast as possible. He tells me it is going to be 25-30 minutes. So I go over and hold Logan up by the counters. For about 15 minutes I am standing there trying to console my little guy, and watching them stare at me. Then, the woman asks me if I want to start the process anytime soon? IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING? What in the hell did they think I was doing?
I don't know if there is any customer service prerequisite required, but that is horrible!!! I decide to stand with Logan several feet from where he was working because he was obviously annoyed by me and my hurt child. So we approach the window and with Logan in my arms and the height of the counter made it difficult for me to sign. I then ask him if it was ok to slide on over to the next window because it would be easier to hold Logan up in my arms, AND sign all of the paperwork. He pushes a paper toward me and says "Sign here" so I do, and push it back through the slot. Then he passes the SAME document back and says "I said initial, not X" in a tone that was draped in agitation, and attitude.
So after that exchange he pushes a camera through the slot and says" we are going to need some pictures of the car, all angles". If I wasnt in such a bind, and needing cash I would have walked out when seeing they had no sense of urgency when I am asking for towels, or napkins. No one even asked if he was alright, or if I needed anything. At no time did they EVER show any sympathy to the situation. At least ACT LIKE YOU ARE CONCERNED!!!!! I have over 13 years customer service experience, and I have never been treated so poorly. After I get this loan paid off, I will never step foot into this place again!

Please help to either get these people out of business or change their policies. Right now they have the following policies (8 reasons why you should leave these ** alone now and get your money):
2. They charge every time at the bank to withdraw.
3. They charge every time there is an electronic bill pay charge.
4. If you lose your card, you cannot use any legal identification in person at any branch to withdraw your money.
5. If you lose your card, you lose complete access to all your funds for 7 to 10 days unless you pay more money and open another card; then you have to call and have funds transferred from the account with the lost card to the new account you setup and pay another fee for the transfer.
6. When you transfer funds from a lost card to a newly setup account, you have to answer a list of identity verification generated questions which are sometimes off the top unanswerable and you might not have a clue as to where they pull these questions from. You'll sit without your money.
7. They say they give rewards and incentives. They eat your money up all the time for every little move you make with the card and you get nothing back, I mean nothing! There are no incentives on how to get your money back at all!!!! No cash backs, nothing.
8. Customer service is terrible. Most of the time, they screw you up to the point where you end up having to visit the branch and/or cannot do anything for you. You're better off doing what you need to do online and for all else you're just screwed. Oh by the way, one last thing, the branches can't do anything but charge you fees to withdraw and send money. All they do is collect, collect, collect. The branches cannot solve 90 % of the issues that come!

I was in line at Ace to pay a bill and the customer in front of me was giving the clerk a hard time because she was late making her payment and her loan went to collections. Finally, after listening to the woman whine for 20 minutes, I was able to talk to the clerk and pay my bill. I was totally satisfied with the service and I felt that the clerk was professional and courteous despite the lady acting like a child. If she wanted less hassle, she should have paid the loan back on time. If she couldn't pay, then she shouldn't have taken out the loan. I bet she didn't complain when they were handing her the money. I highly recommend Ace. They did a great job for me.

I took out a loan a few months back and I could not pay it back so they are charging me with fraud/bad check thing. The thing that pisses me off most was they called my references that I gave them but because I have a unique maiden name, they went so far as to call family. I have no desire to talk to all over the country.
I live in Alabama, not Texas, California, or Colorado. When this ** named Randi ** called, she was nothing but nasty over the phone. When I called their collection agency to ask why they called my family members all over the country, I got the song and dance of well she's the field coordinator doing her job. Whatever, the woman is a **. So, if these people call you, beware.
I will never use Ace again for anything. I will pay them back but I will pay them with a Green Dot Visa or a certified check, that way I know they won't double dip into my account . After I do that, I may even close my account and change banks so they won't know where I bank at. I feel like these **, and I say that kindly, hunted me down like I was being stocked and I am wondering if that is legal.

I have loaned from Ace Cash Express a few times now. Well when I got behind one month, I got phone calls also, but Ace Cash Express is thinking they are slick. They have a way of routing their calls through a few country towns out here in California. So when you look at the caller ID, it says a small town of Campo, CA. There is not a collection agency based out of Campo, CA. They do this so I guess you will pick up the phone. I have also noticed that they don't give you much time to pay off the original loan. But most of the time they are okay with me. I have also noticed that they are rude and demanding on the phone. There needs to be some kind of training done for these people. They also asked me, “How come you can't pay off your loan?” That is nobody's business but mine.

I made a comment that she needed help, so when it was my turn she asked me what I needed. I said I was there for a payday loan. She asked if I had had one before. I replied several and she told me to step aside and continued to wait on everyone else in line behind me and commented to one of the Hispanic customers in Spanish.
And they laughed, so I stood there another 20 minutes before I realized that she had no intentions of helping me. Therefore I had no alternative but to leave. On Saturday, November 26th I went to Ace Cash Express to repay a $500.00 loan. I submitted $545.00 for the loan that was $544.76 including fees. I told the clerk that I wanted to reloan the $500.00 which I did. The clerk reloaned me the same $500.00 that I had earlier repaid the previous loan with. The clerk counted me out the $500.00. I did the customary signing, took the $500.00, and left. On 12/10/11, I went to repay the loan and discovered that the loan papers said that I had borrowed $1000.00. Never in my life have I ever borrowed $1000.00 from Ace. And I have been dealing with them for several years. So, I had no reason to doubt that the repayment info would be anything other than $500.00.
Usually, when I borrow, there is a customer receipt with the amount borrowed that I sign one copy for the store and am given a copy for myself. This particular day as I was getting ready to sign, the clerk told me I did not have to sign that that was my copy. Also, I usually receive copies of the signed paperwork for my own records. I did not receive any this time, just a bunch of unsigned paperwork re: electronic payment. I believe that a fraud was perpetrated by the clerk at the store at that time and that I was the victim. I repaid the $544.00 that was originally borrowed and stated that I will not pay $500.00 for money that I never received. Why would I come to repay a loan with $544.00 if I knew that I had borrowed $1000.00? I brought the money to repay what I knew I had actually borrowed. The store clerk at that time needs to be investigated.

The company seemed like a really good company when they're sending you money, but they do not update payments in an orderly manner. As a consumer, I take these ethics personally because they basically stated that I do not pay my bills, when in essence, they withdrew the money from my account. ACE is a popular name to consumers, but just because you're popular does not mean that you're the best. Unfortunately, I had to take out loans because the property that I am renting was foreclosed. I know that this may not be the best choice. It was fast and this would have been my last, because once you use these loans, you cant' stop unless you have a plan.
On November 2, 2011, I attempted to get a loan from intern-acecashexpress.com. I had tried before but no applications had been processed (this was confirmed with one of your customer reps from 866-355-6815 at 7:08 PM Eastern). She stated that not one of the applications went through, so she told me to try later. I tried later--the first application stopped during the idling of approval, and the second application came up at the four policy documents (arbitration, policy, contract, etc.) which you had to accept.
After reading the last document (contract; amount of loan, my name, and personal info, terms of paying back loan, interest and fees charged, along with the statement "you did not payback your previous loan"), I declined contract and a statement appeared saying that the loan was declined. When I went to make a copy, everything disappeared. I hope that this is not your company's way of doing things. I have a bank statement stating that you, guys, already processed the payment in full. I am hoping this is just a fluke, but just in case, I am informing you once again: do not process this loan to go into my account and you do not have the permission to take anything else out of my accounts that you have on file.
I would rather not do business with a company that does not have their business ethics in place for the consumer. I found it quite offensive for your system to tell me I had not paid my loan off. I am requesting documentation that the loan amount of $356.38 is already paid in full. If I do not receive this soon, I will be forced to take further actions. Thank you!

Do think they're just going to say, "Oh yeah, pay whenever." No. Ace would be out of business. There's one person on here saying they were getting harassed at work. It's like you feel entitled to it. No, you're not. Quit your complaining, act like adults and pay your bills. You're embarrassing yourselves. I asked my manager for 2 weeks off so I could fly out to California to meet with my mother. I was denied that permission, so I gave my 2-week notice.
For me, it was important to be with my mother when she needed me the most. For my bad luck, my manager did not give my 2-week notice and never told my DM about it. So now that I’m trying to get my job back at Ace, I am no longer a rehired employee. Thanks to my manager that didn't report my 2-week notice. I’m a single mother and my mother passed away this year. So, I really need my job back. I really never told my DM about my manager leaving work and letting me there alone when I was just a newly hired employee. She would always threaten me that she could fire me if I said something. But since I really needed the job, I kept it to myself as well. She would get money from the register then she would put it back the next day. For me, that was not okay. But I never said anything. For all those people reading this, never stay quiet on a situation like mine. Tell someone about it. Thanks for reading this. God bless everyone.

Also, we are not given any lunch breaks; we are told to stay behind our glass walls and work the store the average work day is between ten and twelve hours a day. And finally, no store has an emergency fire escape for our own safety. When I brought this to parties' attention, I was told not to worry about it.
So for everybody reading this, there are other companies out ther with better rates that will treat you with the respect you deserve. Please keep in mind if an employee gets treated like dirt in that company, how do you think they're going to treat the customer.

I did an Ace Cash Advance. I have never paid late and I have never had problems until now. I have been receiving harassing phone calls at work and on my cell phone from a foreign speaking gentlemen, stating his name is Marvin ** and that he was calling me about Ace Cash Advance. He is calling from telephone numbers according to caller id is 512-729-4221 in which stays a busy number and two numbers that show weird no area code-209-0008 and a weird # 052-540-068. These are how they show.
He is very rude and he now left me a message on my voice mail stating good luck a sheriff would be at my door on Tuesday and he wishes my children luck. He has now threatened my kids and I don't have any bad debt with this company. I called Ace Cash and she stated that someone has stolen info from their database and that to give her the info and she would pass it to an investigator. She told me to contact the three credit bureaus and place a fraud alert on my credit , in which I have done so. But this man is very threatening and will not leave me alone. Just a heads up to all of you that have payday loans with Ace. Did you ever compare their interest rate chart with other internet loan companies? Let me tell you, it's important that you do, They are scamming you. You know when something just doesn't sound right and you check around, and find out it's not. I am paying $205 for a loan for $675 at 792.05% interest. So I started checking out other competitors finance charge sheets. If I were to take out $700, keep in mind more money at 842.05%, this is according to three other companies.
You can check others on your own if you wish, then I would only pay $177.88 per payday, a difference of $30 per additional payday. So believe me, I would check if I were you and see how bad your getting ripped off. They think people won't check and I usually don't but I"m telling you, you could be really paying more then you should on the interest and making this company really really rich. A few customers added to a few extra fees is a whole lot of money.

This company is fraudulent, a scam! It sounds like they pull the same stunt with most people, because as I read in other complaints, the same exact situation happened to me! They deposited $350 into my checking acct. Unsolicited by me, as all I was doing was checking various sites in contemplation of borrowing. They told me that I had checked the box to agree to the deposit and agree to the contract. I have never received a contract, I did not approve the loan, I did not say that they could withdraw any funds bi-weekly on Fridays, and they deposited the money one day before my regular paycheck was to be deposited, therefore no need for a payday loan! Thieves, scam artists, rude and poor customer service representatives...Do not get tricked into this scam!

On December 1, 2009, I paid off a pay day loan I received in November. We received our checks early and I paid them two days early. After I paid them, I was asked if I wanted a roll-over loan for December, I agreed and they granted the loan even though I am a monthly recipient of Social Security Disability and have been since I began my relationship with this organization over two years ago. The store clerk informed me that the computer would only go until the 31st of December 2009, due to my coming in early. I stated to her that I only got paid on the 3rd of every month. They were given updated bank statements every six months as requested.
At no time did the clerk state to me that she was unable to process this loan because of the 30 day loan policy limit. I told her that I could not pay a loan back on the 31st, because my pay day was only on the 3rd. After reviewing my file, she then agreed to give me until the 4th of January, 2010 to pay the loan. I stated to her that I would be there on the 3rd of January, 2010. I was there on the 3rd, only to be told that they had already processed my check on the 31st and they would not be able to hold the check until the 4th as originally stated. My bank received the check early and charged me numerous fees which amounted to hundreds of dollars which I am still paying. I have filed a civil claim for the fees that I had to pay. I am formally asking a judge to arbitrate this matter which is scheduled for the 3rd of August, 2010.

I admitted default on payday loan; I asked for extension for a week and couldn't do it. I got sick and was out of work for a little while, and spoke to two people who were very understanding. But at the time, they would not let me send what I could to start paying it off. Instead Ms Ellis said, "No! We will send the check through the bank" over and over and I explained to her if she did that, it would be longer for me to pay it off as each time sent through would be $29.00 each and that could be the money sent to them to pay them off as soon as possible.
She said exactly," No! We will just show you how we will get our money", and I hung up on her. Today, she called back using 15 different phone numbers and names. When I get on the phone, it is Ms Ellis and one time I called back they were laughing and said, "Oh yeah, we got her." I asked for who ever this was not to call this number; she then said, "I will call you till you pay us even if I call every 5mins." I work at night so if I can't sleep, the work could get hurt anyway. I want to pay this off but they have added 10% more on to it. I do not make that kind of money; I would love to make a payment arrangement I can afford and pay it off. They have to stop harassing me. I am very nervous person. The calls began coming about six months ago. Instantly upon answering the call, they barraged me with threats of "a sheriff's officer coming to my front door at 11:00 AM to handcuff me and take me straight to the judge unless I come up with $300." After acquiring the company name and source of call, whomever is on the other line (who speaks extremely broken English and shouts into the phone) informs me that, that is none of my business and to take it up with the judge. None of my business? Then, further threatens that the "judge" will take my job and any other assets that I have.
Once I actually got "Alex **" to explain to me what the call was about, he sternly, I might add, informs me that I accepted a loan over the Internet and had not paid it back. I asked him when this supposedly happened and instead of giving me a date, he yells, "Oh, you know when." I require further what amount was the supposed loan for. Again, "Oh, you know that." When I convinced him that I do not, suddenly, it goes from $300 to $750. While I have this person on the phone, I am in my banking account online researching any deposit matching these specific amounts from any company.
I received one lump payment sometime during the first week of each month. That is the sole deposit--ever. I went back one year and there had been no such deposit. Upon informing "Alex" of this again, I get yelled at, "Well, you will have to take this up with the judge." When I requested for an actual written proof of said loan and interest thus far attained, I am either hung up on or yelled with further threats.
One last thing, in one of these calls, a "Robin" started out with the usual threats. Then, he began flirting with me. The amount due went from $750 to $400. The,n he asked if he could call me back in 10 minutes. To see this out, I told him yes. Sure enough, he calls back. It is much quieter in the background. He begins to illicit phone sex from me in exchange for what I owe the company and that "he will take care of everything, if only ...." Isn't that against the law? The only consequence so far is putting up with the harassing phone calls and empty threats.
What scares the ** out of me is that these people have my Social Security number. I have told them on numerous occasions that that is incorrect but still--what is this going to do to my credit report?

I was told that I could not make payment arrangements. Then they tried to collect the whole amount from my bank. This caused everything else going into the bank to bounce and I got charged overdraft fees and return fees on everything. Later, this woman called me and said that my bank had returned a payment and if I could take care of it right away. I told her I couldn't and that I had tried to make payment arrangements. She said they could only divide it up in two payments of $436. She scheduled the payments every two weeks.
Due to financial problems because of other payday loans, the $436 was returned as NSF. I tried to make arrangements for smaller payments but they refused. I was told if I did not pay the full amount of the loan then I couldn't get another loan. The phone number I was given was 972- ext. 7722. This woman called again and said they would have to do something else about the account which would lead to more problems for me. She mentioned legal actions they would take to get their money. This is not the first loan I have had with them. I know I have paid outrageous fees but when your back is against the wall and you have to pay bills and banks will not help you. Right now, due to these payday loans, my bank account is overdrawn. I don't have any money for my utilities or food. It is affecting my physical health. I was a victim of Phishing the last week of January. Several companies stole from my checking account. The main culprit was Ace Cash Services! I was online looking into a small payday loan after the Holiday (last week of December) as a catch-up. I started filling out an application at acecashservices.com but the minute I entered my bank account information, I was re-routed to another site, and another site and another site... page after page of companies and offers. I was never given the opportunity of an electronic signature or terms of agreement.
December 31st, Ace Cash Services deposited $350.00 into my checking account. We were out of town and did not return until 1/08/10. Apparently they send an email to you and if you do not respond with cancellation within three days, you are out of luck (per Lindsey when I called them...by the way you are not allowed to speak with a manager and she would give me no information about the owner!). Ace Cash Services withdrew $105.00 on 1/08/10, 1/22/10, 2/05/10, 2/19/10 and thinking this was the end of it and the thieves were paid off... was very relieved!
I looked at statement online this past Friday. Ace Cash Services withdrew $105.00 again on 3/05 along with another $50.00 and on 3/19/10 they again withdrew another $90.00 and $50.00! I am sick! They stole $365.00 above and beyond the loan amount and will keep going. My bank said if I block them, they may just try on other days of the week! They are stealing from me. The entire amount they have taken now is $715.00!
I spoke with Lindsey at Ace Cash Services and she told me today that the first four payments of $105.00 were payments for a privilege to be able to put off my payments on the "principal" of the "loan" an additional payday! What? I am still not allowed to speak to a manager and when I asked repeatedly and nicely, she said they would determine if she had given me all of the correct information and if so, the manager would probably not call me back! How do people like this sleep at night and live with themselves? They must lay awake at night wondering whose mouth they have stolen food from or who can't now pay their heat bill. I want my money back and now!
I have three children and the amount that Ace Cash Advance has stolen from me would almost pay for groceries for a month, it would pay for gasoline for two months. Everyone in my household was sick in February and we had been to the doctor nine times total... co-pays and chest x-rays totaling almost the amount that Ace Cash Services stole from us! I have been on the phone and online trying to resolve this for several hours. Going to my bank to dispute. This has eaten up hours of time and been an incredible stress in our lives knowing that there are people out there like this!

We were on vacation over the weekend and had some unexpected car troubles. This was two weeks from my payday so I called Ace to get a loan to cover the costs of the repairs and prevent an overdraft in my bank. Due to the fact that Monday was a bank holiday, I was told that a direct deposit would be in my account on Wednesday. So Wednesday comes and no deposit. I did however end up with an overdraft for the cost of the repairs that I was intending to cover with the loan. I called Ace and explained the situation. I was rather rudely advised that no one at the company promised me that the money would be there on Wednesday. I objected and stated that I was in fact told by the company rep that it would indeed be there on that day. I was then advised that I could either cancel the loan or have it deposited on Thursday. I replied that the whole purpose of the loan was to prevent an overdraft that had already occurred.
The rep then told me that it was my problem, not hers and I had to tell her that I wanted the loan canceled. I asked for an explanation as to why my deposit was not made on the day quoted and I was advised that since Monday was a holiday, everything was a day late. I told the rep that the holiday was discussed at the time of the loan and I was advised it would be in on Wednesday instead of Tuesday due to the holiday. Again, she told me that no one promised me it would be to which I once again objected that I was in fact advised that it absolutely would be.
In short, the company did not want to accept any responsibility for a simple error and I was treated badly for expecting them to do so. It would have been nice if they would have offered to have the original person call me back with an apology. At least then I would know that someone, somewhere in the company was taking responsibility for misrepresenting the time frame in which they could deliver their services. Instead, they refused to accept the fact that a promise was made by an authorized representative on their behalf and they simply called me a liar and treated me in a second rate fashion. I now have to pay out of pocket for their incompetence.

They proclaim that they are in Texas, I do not know. But I am located in Omaha, NE. I had some financial difficulties and have been trying to make arrangements with them in regards to my Payday loan and they will not accept it. They want me to pay in full and then keep saying that I will be eligible to rewrite. I do not want to rewrite. I just want to pay it off. These people are very rude and intolerable. This business should be shut down. I am so stressed my hair is falling out due to them not agreeing to stop calling me at work 3-4 times back to back until I answer.

On 12/15/2009, I was contacted by an individual named Rylee who stated he was calling on behalf of Ace Cash Express in regards to a delinquent balance on a $300 loan. I explained to the individual I had not contacted them because of recent financial hardships and was unable to financially resolve the matter but was willing to work out a payment plan. At this point, I requested not to be contacted to my place of employment regarding financial personal matters. The individual became very aggressive stating that at this point, I had no right to make any type of requests and also stated that arranging a payment plan was no longer an option. He stated that I needed to pay the fine in full or I would be referred to the district attorney's office and that they would be contacting my employer to verify a demographic status regarding my personal financial matters.

I recently had a baby and have been hospitalized (2) since my baby was born. Due to me being in the hospital, which I can provide backup for, I mistakenly forgot to write a transaction down and ended up having 3 NSF but as soon as I received a letter from ACE, I immediately contacted them and gave them a specific date as to when I would have my debt paid off. The collections representative, Letesha **, was verbally abusive to me and ordered me to pay on the spot, which at that time I had told her that I was widowed and received direct deposit every 4th Wednesday of the month and gave her the date that I would pay. So as soon as my deposit was in, I went to my bank, withdrew the money and took it to the store but before I paid, I had the clerk call to verify that they did not run the check through again and Letesha assured me that the check was not presented again and I had checked my account as well. The very next day, she ran it through making me homeless.
But the main point was, after I found out that the check did not go through the first time, I called them to let them know and even after telling them that, they kept hitting my account with Teleserv fees that came out to be approximately $100 or more costing them $25 each time. I realize that I had made a mistake in not writing down a transaction and was willing to make good on my debt and letting them know. She was rude to me and here I am trying to make good on my debt and cooperating with them but she was nasty to me. I also tried talking with another collections representative thinking it was just her being nasty, but he was just as rude and had no concern that there was nothing I could do until my deposit went in and he threatened me.
I wasn't able to get my baby diapers, or food and I am homeless and they owe me money. They claimed it would only take 48 hrs to put back into my account. It has been over 48 business hours and it is still not in my account. I tried to call and find out but I could not get any answers. I am a college graduate who is widowed and have been very ill since I have had my baby which was not planned. I am suffering from postpartum depression mainly brought on by these people harassing me and taking what little money I have by continuing to run the Teleserv check costing me NSF and them knowing I had a negative balance due to them doing this. I told them the date my dd would be in and planned on paying them at that time, but even after telling them this, they kept harassing me, making threats and increasing a negative balance in my account. It seems illegal to do this. It's like running the check through 8 times or more. I feel what they did was illegal and I have proof that they did this.

I paid off my cash loans, but someone keeps calling me from 714 ** by the name of Blaine and said I owe this money and I have committed federal check fraud, theft of check by deception, and stolen money for the State of Illinois. Then I said, "You mean Idaho." He said yes. They have an affidavit filed, and I owe $362.39 plus some thousands worth of fees. Funny thing, I have copies showing these accounts are paid in full and with zero balance. They continually call my work but don't tell me what it is for.

They did not have my new phone number. I don't know how they got it, but I received a call from case manager Henderson saying I should call her before 3:00 pm Pacific time or else she was going to move forward.

I have recently been laid off and was contacted by a female from corporate, stating that I needed to make a payment or else they will proceed with legal actions. Now remind you, I had renewed the loan four times. I stated to the lady about my status - that I can pay $50 and would gradually pay more once I received my unemployment. The female stated that wasn't enough and that I had to pay it off and re-borrow the money. I had informed her that I didn't have such money. I was told they don't offer payment arrangements and will prosecute me. Until now I have been threatened and harassed by this company.

On 03/23/09, I got a phone call on my cell from a Mr. ** stating that I needed to contact him by 11 am the next day or he was going to take action on my account or I need to contact a lawyer. This call upset me because I did not know what was going on. I called the number that he called me from and I asked for a Mr. **. I got transferred to a Mr. ** that said I should get in contact with a lawyer and that I should have handled my responsibilities and I was grown enough to get a payday loan, so I should be grown enough to deal with what is going to happen next.
My phone signal faded so I called him back. Mr. ** said why I was calling back, called me incompetent and that I had no sense, telling me I lied on my application saying I did not have another loan and I did. I told him I did not know what he was taking about. He asked if I was stupid. He also said they were going to file charges for my writing a bad check and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with a girl and I was trying to make a complaint about Mr. **. She said why I had to keep talking about Mr. **. I said, "Because he was rude."
So a few hours later, I got a call from my mother. These people called my mother home, threatening me and talking about they were going to arrest me. I did not give them my mom's number and they almost gave my mom a heart attack. This was left by Mr. **. I called and left Mr. ** a message stating that I wanted to talk to him about a payment arrangement before my mother called. When Mr. ** called me back the next day, I was heated. I had already called a lawyer's office. So he asked why I did not pay the loan off. I explained to him that they were breaking laws and he said, "No that is not true," and all of their conversations were recorded.
I said, "Okay since all your conversations are recorded, I need a copy of the conversation I had with Mr. ** and a copy of the original loan so I can pass them to my lawyer, because I already saved the other two messages that he left me and I am going to court." l also told him I will pay off the loan in payments and I will walk it in. That was 3 weeks ago. I have not heard from them. I have not gotten a lawyer yet; I just asked what to do.

I have a payday loan with this company and they have been refusing to allow me to make payments of the loans and making threats to pursue legal action. Mr. also threatened to run my social security number and contact my employer even though i've stated that i could not receive personal calls at work. Mr. refused to allow me to make payment arrangements and told me that i needed to seek legal advise, and good luck to me because i was gonna need it.
I recently received a letter threatening to pursue all legal remedies, and a garnishment of my wages. I've spoken also with a female named Mrs. who told me to keep my money as opposed to making payments and seek legal advice then hung up the phone.
I am disturbed by these type of threatening actions, when indeed i tried to settle this debt for which i've probably already paid back the original amount borrowed. What can i do?

I have a payday advance with Ace America's Cash Advance and was paying them faithfully each pay period, i probably paid back twice the amount borrowed or near it. The first time i was unable to pay them back was a result of my purse being stolen while at the movies which set me back because i had other bills due as well. When i contacted them to let them know the situation and to make payment arrangements they told me the minimum amount they would accept. I told them i couldnt afford to make the minimum they quoted me, but could afford to make $100.00 payments. They refused the $100.00 payments, and told me that i would continue to get phone calls. The next encounter i forgot the female's name, but i told her i was in the process of trying to see if i could borrow the money and she rudely stated that i wasnt trying to do anything.
After these conversations i felt that they were not trying to work with me, just being rude. The continued to receive phone calls various times each day including Sundays, however i didnt respond because of the lack of respect i was given during the prior calls. I received a phone call from Mrs. Shed ext#7750 on Aug. 21, 2008, she left a message on my voicemail stating that it was apparent i didnt want to handle the situation voluntarily and she would be moving forward, and ended it with good luck. I was upset by the message because it was like she was hinting toward a threat, when in fact i did try to settle my account on my own but they refused the amount which i could afford to pay, and was unprofessional/rude in the process.
I called back on Aug. 27, 2008 and left a message, she didnt call me back so i called her again on Aug. 29, 2008. Upon speaking with her i asked her how can i settle my account, she asked why i waited to call her back and i told her about the other attempts in which i tried to pay on my account and the rude encounters. Mrs. Shed never apologized for her co-worker's behavior but asked me what could i pay today. I told her i could pay $50 today, but if she could wait until Wed. Sept 3, 08 i could pay $125. She didnt agree to this and started talking about calling my job to verify my employment status, and i told her that at my job i couldnt receive phone calls.
She said that they would still call and say where they were calling from, i told her i thought that was against my privacy and why would she have to call my job if i was trying to make arrangements once again to pay. At this time she began to raise her voice talking with an attitude and being rude. She told me that i needed to seek advice, keep my $50, and come up with the total amount due of $690 by today in a threatening tone and then HUNG the phone up on me!
I called back and spoke with a female and told her i had just been hung up on and was going to call consumer affairs because of the way i was treated while trying to settle my account and she placed me on hold. Mrs. Shed picked up the line and said rudely i needed to tell them meaning consumer affairs that my checks came back NSF. I'm upset with the disrespect, rudeness and lack of professionalism i had to encounter while trying to pay and settle this debt.

This person attempting to pressure me in reloaning monies. I recieved pay day loans and simply got into a trap and had to reloan over and over again. I did lose my job and was unable to pay. I recieved a call from a young man threatening to file a case on me for a bad check. I feel this needs to be explained to customers verbally and in writing prior to getting a loan.
If you get in a bind and are unable to pay it back or make payment arrangements they force you to either reloan again or continue in an endless cycle. They do not allow you terms that you can afford. You are forced to continue to stay in debt. The charges to get the loan are so much that they force you to stay in this never ending cycle of debt.
Repaying this loan kept me in debt, unable to purchase household items, having to go out and get loans from other payday companies in order to pay them off. The cycle in non-ending and it also causes a loss of dignity and respect.

I consolidated my Payday loans (I had 9 of them), and this company refuses to work with them. I have offered to make a small ($20) payment, and he said it was unacceptable and accused me of liking to get money free, and accused me of writing a bad check (it wasn't bad at the time i gave them the unsigned, unwritten check). I closed the account after I consolidated and left them a message.
I even wrote them a letter stating not to call me at work, which he did. He called 3 people at my work, my sister, my mom and harrassed me when I called and told him not to call. It really put a stress on me, considering my job ends at the end of this month, and my husband is up north with my kids and he has yet to find a job.
I am stressed, I can't sleep well, my husband and I get in arguments over it, all when I am trying to make it better. I am totally embarrassed for him calling me at work AND talking with our HR person & my boss.
