Just started the program yesterday but after reading reviews I must say that I’m nervous- just make sure you understand that Five Lakes will take like 20% fee for each account that is resolved. Make sure to read ALL fine print and ask questions. And remember that some creditors won’t even settle with them anyway

Matthew was very easy to work with. He had a great personality and was able to answer all of my questions. It is a lengthy phone call, and there was a lot of information thrown my way, but I never felt rushed by him. I can’t say enough about Accredited and their employees. Nate was extremely patient while I fired all kinds of questions at him (and I asked A LOT of questions) and answered every one of them thoroughly. I met Hugo by seeing an ad saying, "How would you like to be debt free?" I answered some questions and met Hugo. He took as long as needed to get setup in the program. He explained to me I would have to be disciplined to not make my scheduled payments, but let them make the payments for me that they setup that would help me start saving money. He took me through the program and I am so excited about going to be debt free in 48 months. They have a high rating in getting the debt settled and I believe in them to do what they say they can do. When I spoke to the lawyer yesterday, I told him I was rethinking this and needed to stop the process. But it is not that easy. She takes my application. The only loan she can help me with is One Main. Tells me at the end of the phone call, that "all I need to do is turn off my auto pay and type in a phone number she gave me. This is where it all went to hell! I couldn't manually turn off auto pay on One Main, I had to call them. So I did. Only to find they also can't turn off my auto pay due to they "haven't received anything from her company" AND my March payment has already been tagged to be paid and they can't stop this either! But....Kim has my first payment scheduled to be taken out on March 21st. I called back and spoke with "James" who informs me that it takes 90-180 days for it to actually go through! AND that if I continue with paying this loan, and stop auto pay at the bank, then One Main will mark my credit. But says if the loan is approved, and I make payments to new loan, it will take 1-2 years for my credit to go back up and we are already in the poor category!
NONE OF THIS WAS EVER EXPLAINED!!! I asked if he could transfer me to Kim and he said she just takes applications. I am just madder than ever. She is suppose to call me Monday to "see how things are going" and I have a lot to say!. I can't afford to pay both loans until this one is approved. Not to mention if it takes 90-180 days, that is 3-6 payments I made to a loan that this new loan is suppose to take over, based on the balance as of 3/15. No explanation of this was ever explained or I never would have agreed to this. I did find out that I have until 3/19 to stop this loan, but I told him I wanted to see if she really calls Monday because I want to tell her personally that I don't appreciate the lies!!!
