I had called Accredited on 12/12/2025 to learn about reducing credit card debt. Aaron ** was very patient, stayed on the phone with me and explained options. I was approved for the 57 month program to eliminate 5 credit cards. This was a great experience to learn about options to deal with high interest credit cards. Our total credit card debt increased a lot this year due to increased costs on finishing our basement. My wife and her brother shared interest in their family business. She sold a building which was her share. About $26,000 ended up on American Express and Home Depot cards, that was planned to be paid in cash. We were current on everything, even paying a little more than minimums. My credit score had dropped to about 690, and I was still needing to use credit cards too much for groceries, gas and a few monthly bills.

The credit or financial counselors do their best to make you feel bad about your debt. I have no late bills or debt in collections, and they did their best to make me feel like I was in a worse situation then I was. She probed and prodded for 30 mins to try to make me feel bad about my situation. I ended the call because I reached out to look for a consolidation loan, not to be berated. They try to shame you into signing on with them, there is a better organization or way to manage your debt options!

I am satisfied with the professional and personal support. I feel that I am well equipped to handle the situation under the current circumstances. I believe if I need any assistance that it will be easily forthcoming and that I am confident that I am well represented.

It’s not easy asking for help, I had originally gone with another company, and after a nagging feeling that it was not the right choice I looked a little deeper. While I might have returned and continued, I now wonder if your company is intent on making it difficult for someone to back out. I signed yesterday and I want this transaction stopped immediately. I was foolish to not put the brakes on in the first place.

We were hesitant about going into a debt resolution program, but we realized that it was the only way we could avoid returning to work after nine years of retirement.
