No one to talk to at Oakley, but you can BUY replacement parts online for glasses still under warranty. Bad customer service after the sale and I have a warranty. NO OAKLEY! NO MORE LENSCRAFTERS!

After submitting my prescription sunglass order online the service reps kept contacting me about issues with the prescription. This also happened when I tried to order a few months back. I resent them the entire prescription. Another rep contacted me stating they need me to resubmit another new order. I am very disappointed with the customer service that I received and let this be a warning to pass on Lenscrafters.

When I went to them originally 20 years ago service was great. I got my glasses in just a matter of hours or a few days. Recently I went to make another purchase. I asked how long it would take to make my glasses. They told me the same day or next day. After making my purchase they informed me that it would take up to 10 days for my glasses to get made. I told him I wasn't satisfied with this and I would like my money back. I told him that their salesperson that told me one or two days and they transferred me to their so-called lab. These people informed me that could be up to 10 days but would make a rush on it and call me. It's now 10 days and still no glasses. It seems like the whole company likes to lie to their customers. Never again.

I'm extra careful about cleaning them but the AR coating is spotted all over the glasses. The Manager of the store says he can't do anything for me. My original order had to be sent back because it had the wrong script. 3 months and they are blurry already.. He said the sun affects them.. WHAT.. They are transitions with some new coating they offered. WELL the coating does not work. He said I can talk to anyone so I'm out 650 bucks on blurry lenses ... Dr. ** please help me. Or someone call me. The 800 number does not work.

Lenscrafters is where I bought my 1st pair 20 years ago. I only go to Lenscrafters and get the insurance on the glasses. Quality and service can't be beat.

I moved here from out of state and lost my ophthalmologist and their in-house eyeglass department. My glasses have a high prescription and I knew new ones would cost $700.00, so I held out as long as I could. I finally ended up at Lenscrafters. I think Lenscrafters is fine for low prescriptions but for people like me who have numerous vision issues, purchasing from them has been a true disappointment. I have limited frame options because of the lens type. My goal is to be able to see. The previous location provided the highest index lens with transitions. Lenscrafters claimed they could not. My new glasses are horrible with thick, heavy lenses. They are also too small behind the ears. I am extremely disappointed at being treated as someone who wanted a dainty pair of stylish frames to go with their low script rather than who I am: a disabled person who needs these glasses to function properly.

Lens Crafters is slowly out sourcing everything. They stopped one hour service, they stopped doing gradient shading on lenses. And when I needed one lens replaced they said company policy was that I had to replace both which would cost me double. They definitely aren’t interested in customer service anymore. I had to go to an independent dealer to get real service. They gave me everything I wanted. Stay away from Lens Crafters. They're a ripoff.

For over 20 years, my family and I have been loyal customers to LensCrafters in Eastland Mall, but will not return. I had poor customer service, and I am certain they did not put the anti-scratch coating on my regular glasses. This January, I needed new glasses, so I purchased a regular pair and a pair of sunglasses - a total of $919 spent (with their "specials" applied.) I have a strong prescription and bifocals, so I knew I had to wait longer to get them. Once they came in 2 weeks later, they were not adjusted for my eyes, so I had to return. After explaining to two different associates, they finally agreed to re-make my lenses to fit my eyes. I ended up making two additional trips just to get them and have them fitted.

Now, just 4 months later, the lenses on my regular glasses are so scratched up that I have issues seeing clearly. I have done nothing different, and treat them very carefully, but they are so easily scratched. My glasses purchased in 2018 are not even this scratched up. The response I received from Eastland Mall was that they could do nothing for me, but gave me a customer service number. That recording directed me to Chat with them, which I did only to receive a link to report this all over again.

The response from corporate? A rote response: "At LensCrafters we allow our customers to choose if the Eyewear Protection Plan is right for them. Customers have the ability to add the EPP on the day of purchase or day they pick up their eyewear. If a customer damages their eyewear and has not purchased the Eyewear Protection Plan, we are able to offer them our current in store offer so they customer will not be required to pay full price for their eyewear." I have never needed that protection before, so of course I didn't spend the extra (and exorbitant) fees they wanted for it. I'll be getting my glasses from my eye doctor from now on.

I have to wear special lenses. My eye doctor shares an office space with LensCrafters and LensCrafters got my RX wrong the first time I received it. Sent it back a second time because they were scratched and even though I paid for scratch resistant lenses in the initial order I was charged again when they sent it back. I wanted to give my eyes time but I still can't see very well. I can no longer see up close with my glasses, which I use to be able to do with the old pair. There is a fuzz/blur around the words. Even with my contact lenses there's a fuzz. For the money they charge I should be able to see. I see just fine when I'm at the doctor's using their equipment but that's not being translated in my prescriptions. Plus they would not give me the PD which is absurd as that is my medical information. I should be able to know what that is so that I am not forced to purchase glasses only through them.

I have purchased several pairs of prescription eyeglasses from Lenscrafters over the past 20+ years. I normally do not have the ophthalmologist or optometrist check the script, which I didn't this time, until I recently had a new exam. I was told that there was no prism in the glasses; I have been wearing the wrong script for a few years, as the vision had not changed much. I have the original script indicating a prism for one lens only, and the doctor couldn't understand how it was not included. I know I was having much more double vision than normal, but I thought it was just getting worse. Discount or not, I will take my vision more seriously and get prescriptions filled elsewhere from now on.

My family of 6 switched to Lenscrafters (at Haywood Mall in Greenville, SC) recently. Last week on Wednesday 4/28/2021, we had an appointment for one of my daughters and myself. We left with glasses RX but forgot to ask about the PD. We went back on Saturday 5/2/2021 and we were greeted by a gentleman with a very bad attitude and the Assistant Manager Kami. We politely asked to get the PD measurement since we forgot to ask. They were really rude (especially with their body language).

Kami had to tell her employee to be quiet a couple of times so she could speak to me and that aggravated him more. They both refused to read the PD for us since we did not purchase frames, they said that was the company policy. They were very rude and condescending to us. We left and canceled the other 2 appointments we had set up for my other 2 daughters the following weekend. What we don't understand is that their website says (and quote) the following: "You can ask your eye doctor to include your PD measurement on your prescription". It doesn't say that we need to buy glasses in order to get our PD. Attitude for the two employees needs to be addressed and apologies for the way they speak to customers should be considered. Customer satisfaction is everything and it doesn't take a lot to be nice to people.

I will begin to say that they do have a good selection of frames prices range from 168 to 500 dollars depending on the brand you pick but the overpriced comes in when you have progressive lenses you will get charged double if not triple the price. But what really make me do this review was the fact that approximately less than 72 hours after putting my order and getting charged more than 1,000 dollars I change my mind about adding transition lenses. So my daughter that also goes there told me, "Call by phone. Tell them you want the transition lenses anyway. They have not sent it to lab yet."

I called. A girl came on the phone. First she tells me that Nilda who is the person that got my order does not go work there then tells me that calling the wrong LensCrafters. Then I asked for her to check my order number. She finally says that was the right shop but that in order change my order I had to go in person. I explained to her was not even in Broward County at the moment. Needless to say that they lacked customer satisfaction and service. I don’t think after buying from them more than a thousand dollars worth of frames and lenses she should have told me that I had to go in person and she never even let me talk to Nilda the person that took my order so was not able to add the transition lenses. So the only time I will back to the store is pick up my order and the near future to go see Dr ** who is great awesome Dr.

If you ever visit the Lenscrafters' web site be prepared to be frustrated. Contacting customer service about all the problems in their site is a waste of time. For example, if you have a user account as I do, there is a chance that the optometrist you used at their store has scheduled a future exam for you to confirm in your account online. There's even a Book Exam button for you to do so. However, when you click on it you get a 'Sorry the page you're looking for can't be found' message instead of confirming the exam that was already scheduled by your optometrist.

Then there's the in store purchase records which seem to be non-existent. If you follow the page instructions to manually enter your receipt number you'll discover that the information is not only incorrect but you cannot enter the receipt number they claim you should because the formats don't match. The one on the till receipt is nowhere near the same as the accepted format on the web page. You also only get 5 chances to enter it correctly until you get locked out of your account. At least that's what the basically useless site claims will happen. Fact is, that's a lie. Just use the browser back button and you can try as often as you like based on my personal experience. You'll never succeed because the till receipt number will NEVER be accepted. It's way too long.

When you spend $500 on an exam and a single pair of glasses you expect to see them when you view the appropriate section of your user account online. Too bad that is not the case and apparently never will be since the customer service personnel I've dealt with haven't a clue what customer service actually is. They've blamed the store personnel, the optometrist and myself for the problems I've encountered on their horrible website. It's as though they think they're infallible and neither the fault or responsibility is theirs to bear.

As for the in-store experience, I was never told when my glasses would be ready or whether or not I would be contacted. Basically, I paid, they gave me my receipt and went to another customer before I could ask them anything. It's been almost two weeks and I have heard nothing. I should NOT have to call them to see if my glasses are ready especially given the overpricing for the frames and lenses. I could have bought two or three pairs for the same amount of money at Walmart on online elsewhere. And I still have no idea what my prescription actually is!!!

My encounter with the manager at the Federal Way, WA store yesterday was incredibly unprofessional and against LensCrafters publicly posted policy. I decided to return a brand new pair of glasses and request a refund because they had broken twice within 2 weeks and after telling the technician the story of the glasses, she told me they generally advise people not to buy that particular type because they are fragile. No one told me those type of glasses are a known problem. The manager walked over and asked me several time ‘What is wrong with THESE glasses’? Of course I told her, each time, I don’t have faith in them given my experience and what the technician just told me. She said ‘There is nothing wrong with them, we sell hundreds of them’. Not only her words but her attitude was angry and dismissive. This was all very public.

I asked to talk to a store manager, she said ‘That’s me. You’re stuck with me’. Wow. I was completely blown away. Ultimately she said ‘You don’t want any resolution’ and finally did the paperwork to issue the refund. I will never go into another LensCrafters store. I will share this experience with my company’s benefits office as well as the insurer. In addition to the incident described, just trying to get these glasses was fraught with problems. Each time I called to see if my glasses were ready, the technician told me they had texted me and I never responded. Well, each time they told me that I asked what number they contacted and it was not my number. Each time. And each time I asked them to correct it and it was never corrected. I am done with LensCrafters. Lastly, the “30 day happiness guarantee” means nothing when the manager, of all people, doesn’t understand her role in managing people, service and policy.

Took weeks to get them. Never called to say they were in. Fitter was rude when I asked to have the optical center marked, as I have had trouble with THEIR glasses before. It ended with the manager telling me there was nothing else that they could do. I then took the glasses to Eyemart who were able to shave some of the lenses off of one lens and turn the other lens to line them up to where they would fit into the glasses frames that I received. With 40 years of experience I would have expected them to do the same. It was the most horrible experience I've ever had with my glasses and I've been wearing glasses for over 30 years. I called 2 weeks later and was told They would be in no later than October 2nd. On October 2nd I received a call from LensCrafters expecting them to tell me my glasses were in but they said they were waiting to measure me for the different frames. I said, "3 weeks later you’re telling me they weren’t ordered even though I spoke to somebody telling me they were ordered and would be in soon." I told them to refund my money and I will get them elsewhere. I went to a different place... Same glasses over 200.00 cheaper!

Was then advised it was cheaper to pay cash.... returned the next day to use my insurance I pay for. Was charged another 140.00 for sunglasses. Glasses came back too strong causing headaches, doctor advised wrong prescription over working my eye muscles; replaced my lens with what was to be the correct prescription... everything was blurred which caused another visit for the 4th time. Was then told no refund for ALL OF THEIR MISTAKES, and this would be the last time they would try and get my lens corrected and asked that I bring my old glasses so they can compare.... What is all the high tech equipment for in the location if you cannot properly fit someone for prescription glasses.... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND I WILL NEVER USE LENSCRAFTERS AGAIN!!!

For past 8-10 years, I have been buying glasses from Lenscrafters and for the most, the experience has been good. But once Luxottica purchased Lenscrafters, the customer flexibility vanished. And this time, I purchased Progressive Lenses and had to go back five times to get the glasses fixed. While John, at the Manassas store tried hard to fix the issue but even today I see everything on the left side leaning towards the right which was a problem I complained about multiple times.

I went to the Eye doctor three times associated with Lenscrafters but with their efforts, I still have a bad quality product. I can see better without my glasses than I can see with them. The Eye doctor said it is the quality of lenses being used. I have a bad product but I have given up and Lenscrafters will not be my first choice next time. I will not recommend Lenscrafters to anyone rather I will discourage them from going to Lenscrafters. No Thanks to Luxottica, the mother company, their greed is killing Lenscrafters. What a shame!

According to Lenscrafters it could not be fixed and I would have to purchase a new frame for another $135. Ridiculous! They didn't even try to help. They lost a customer.

I have been going to Lenscrafters for over 20 years and wearing glasses for over 35 years. The customer service is HORRIBLE compared to how it used to be. I ordered a pair of glasses back in March. All stores stopped doing adjustments due to COVID, so I had to wait until July to pick them up. I returned them over the phone and repurchased when they re-opened to full services. When I finally was able to pick them up, the fish-bowl effect was overpowering and nothing was helping. The "lab guy" was very upset that I had a problem and argued with me in the middle of the store in front of my husband and other customers. I decided to try smaller frames and give this company another chance. The 2nd pair was almost 2 weeks late and they never bothered to call or text to me to let me know.

When I called to check on the status, the manager, Tracy, said "other people are waiting too, it's not just you". Great customer service. When the 2nd pair came in, they had a very distinctive blurry spot in the center of both lenses. It was like there was no prescription in the lens, is the only way I can describe it. The frames were also bent (perhaps when the lenses were installed) and the Lenscrafters employees were NOT HAPPY that adjustments needed to be made. I should have taken a picture of the 2nd frames before I returned them. You could tell just by looking at me that they sat way too high up and off to the side. It looked like someone smacked me in the face with a book and bent my glasses.

When the 2nd pair was taken back, the employee made a really rude comment that I "have been going back and forth for a while". I'd been in their store twice in 6 months. The manager was also present was equally as rude as she had been on the phone the week before. Bottomline, they want you to spend $400+ and be on your way. They don't want to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase and make it crystal clear that they don't want to deal with you. Considering this company deals with VISION, I think they need to do a better job at hiring compassionate employees. I can see why store in Champaign, IL has been downsized to 1/4 of the size it used to be. If you enjoy glasses that don't fit, lenses that aren't clear, employees that are blatantly rude and feeling like a burden at the eye doctors office, by all means, go to Lenscrafters!!

Then in a rude tone, told me he would not change my prescription! They do have a return policy, however will not refund the eye exam! So even if I return them, I will now have to pay out of my own pocket to get glasses I can actually see out of! I do not even trust them in doing my benefit refund nor what I paid out of pocket. First appointment to address issue was canceled by Lenscrafters. Attempts to reschedule delayed by both Lenscrafters then pandemic. Appointment revealed that my prescription has changed little but lens needed to be replaced. Sales technician acknowledged the lens were disintegrated, offered new lens at cost of almost $600 with "higher quality" lens. Then when I protested, technician offered me a $50 discount if I also purchased frames. I left at this point, extremely frustrated.

I emailed Lenscrafters with complaint. Lenscrafters directed me to link to file complaint, which I did. Lenscrafters' response was that it was up to the store to decide then they recommended I purchase new lens...really?! I responded that I remain disappointed that the company does not stand by the product they sell and not take responsibility when said product is clearly defective. I am a life-long (50+ years) wearer of glasses and they should last 3-5 years barring any significant changes in vision, not less than one year...especially when paying top dollar for "high quality"! Shame on you for being all about the money and not the people, who work hard to earn the money you take so casually.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. During the pandemic, while Lenscrafters was closed, my 8 year old broke their glasses and needed replacements. The process to receive a new pair of glasses while stores were closed was a nightmare. We had purchased the replacement insurance at the time we purchased his glasses. To be able to receive a new pair, we had to first send the broken pair of frames to lenscrafters/luxxotica (their parent company). Then we had to wait 10-14 BUSINESS days for them to "process" the broken glasses (take them out of a bin and check them to be sure they are broken is what a customer rep told me over the phone). Only then would they ship my son a new pair of glasses that would take an additional 7-14 BUSINESS days, so really like 1 1/2 - 3 weeks to get back to my child.

My child had to go without glasses for 3 WEEKS and develop headaches nearly every single day! Because lenscrafters couldn't possibly just send a new pair of frames as soon as we notified them they were broken! Sorry I'm not rich enough to have a back up pair of glasses for my kid, they got glasses for the first time this past December, and we just couldn't afford two pairs right off the bat. Also when I called customer service to find out the status of when they would ship because we had already been waiting 2 weeks. I asked if they would overnight the glasses because my child had been experiencing headaches everyday. I was told that next day air was not possible. EXCUSE ME?! If you can ship out packages ground, you can certainly do it next day air. UPS (the carrier luxxotica was using) will send your package anyway you ask them to.

I used to work in a shipping department and know exactly how shipping out customers packages works. And it is possible to send packages next day air, at least if you are within the continental 48 which I and lenscrafters/luxxotica are. AND especially if and when you are one of the largest eyeglass retailers in the country! Customer service failed on so many levels. I will not be using them ever again.

Then it was time to select frames; this is where it went downhill. Although I had told them initially that I had just opened a Care Credit account the night before, they failed to mention that they would not accept an electronic card and needed the "hard card" to process payment. Logic would tell you that I didn't receive it in the mail overnight. But ok, I'll just wait until it comes in the mail.

Then I thought that maybe I could just order them from Lenscrafters online and enter my card info. I was shocked to see that the frames I had selected were almost $75 cheaper online and the lenses were also cheaper! Odd!!! I called the Temecula Promenade store back today to ask if they would honor THEIR OWN COMPANY'S online pricing and they said NO! The only reason I didn't order them on the Lenscrafters site was that you can't order bifocals or progressives online. Your order has been sent off to our prescription lab and can be expected in 5-7 business days. Once the order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation with your UPS tracking number."

A week later, 6/1, having heard nothing, I inquired about the status and was informed the prescription "has been sent to the lab" and I should expect shipping confirmation in 5-7 days. Days passed with no confirmation. An inquiry on 6/5 indicated that the prescription had not been sent until 6/1 and ... you guessed it ... I should expect confirmation in 5-7 days. This time, the rep "Glen" said for the first time that the prescription had not been verified until 6/1. This is certainly NOT what I was told on 5/25 or 6/1. I understand that with the pandemic normal turn around times may be impossible, but the company should be upfront about it and not repeatedly lie about timeframes. It is incredibly frustrating. I filled out the form provided on the Lenscrafters customer care line multiple times and never received any emails or calls regarding whether or not my order was going to be shipped to me. My local store in Columbiana Centre opened today, May 18th, and none of the associates in the store were able to provide me with information as to where my order was or the status and just repeated to me that they had not been receiving shipments due to COVID-19 closures.

Bottom line, an establishment should not open its doors until they have sorted through any of the issues or back orders caused by store closures. They are subjecting their workers to, rightfully so, frustrated customers simply due to the lack of organization that is being left for the store associates to deal with. I understand that COVID-19 has led to unforeseen circumstances that are causing difficulty and increase in wait times for everyone involved, but there is no excuse for the fact that I have placed an order nearly two months ago now and am unable to reach anyone who can give me the slightest bit of information as to its whereabouts.

So I took the glasses back and got the lens corrected within 24 hours. I had initially paid for non-scratch, so before I leave I made sure to ask if this would happen again and I was told "no" yet, surprisingly the same problem reoccured once more. This time it spread like wildfire which made it difficult for me to see. Since I depend on my glasses for every bit of reading, whenever I use it I would have to squint my eyes to see from a little spot that was not affected as yet. It gives me a severe headache and I actually feels like my sight has deteriorated as a result of that. I tried contacting the office that gives a 1800 number for assistance several times which is of no help.

All the Representative did was tried selling me another pair of glasses while ignoring my situation with an attitude of NEXT!!! I kept on calling the 1800 number plus conversing with the online chat to see if I could at least get a replacement but that was just a waste of time. Instead I was promised when the store open after COVID-19 then I could come in or someone would contact me within 24 hours. My contention is "what happens if COVID-19 is not resolved until another year or two?" Doesn't Lenscrafters has a planned solution for their customers except for selling new glasses and ignoring a possible problem? Since I have been wearing glasses I have never had such problem with my lens and I do have a stock of old ones and the lens are still going good. What can Lenscrafters do to resolve this situation immediately?

I was left on hold for 42 minutes when I called and never even spoke to an actual person, it took 72 hours to respond back to me (if at all) via email and they did not provide any assistance regarding the actual issue, and I waited for 1 hour and 25 minutes to chat with a representative online. It took her 2 minutes to inform me that my order was actually on the way.... What?! I never received a confirmation that this last order was even accepted and apparently all of a sudden they decided to accept my prescription. On September 24, 2019 I ordered a pair of eyeglasses after cataract surgery. As a senior citizen, I was pleased to learn that Medicare covers the cost of your first pair of glasses post cataract surgery. When my exam was done, I chose glasses. I completed the transaction with Amanda, the manager at the Saratoga Springs location. She took my Medicare information and typed it into the system. She then informed me that it takes about three months to receive a reimbursement from medicare. I waited for the allotted amount of time, and after not receiving a reimbursement from Medicare, I contacted them. The agent informed me that no paperwork had ever been filed for this claim.

I then called LensCrafters customer service department. At the time, I did not have my receipt and they were unable to locate my information in their system. I returned to LensCrafters and waited to speak to Amanda. She showed me the information on her computer screen that showed the words “Other insurance- Medicare.” Although it did not indicate that a claim had been made, I believed her when she said that that showed the paperwork had been filed.

Again, I waited for another month and, once again, returned to LensCrafters. Amanda was no longer working at that location, so I spoke to the assistant manager. After a back and forth, she informed me that LensCrafters does not file claim forms for Medicare. I received a reprint of my receipt and contacted Medicare. They notified me that it would take several weeks to receive a form to request medical payment.

Fast forward to today. I finally received the forms and called Medicare with questions. The agent informed me that I needed to use a Medicare approved vendor. To my surprise, LensCrafters is not on the list. After over five months of waiting, I am now out $853.80! I am disappointed that I will not be compensated for my glasses. LensCrafters was very quick to take my money and misinformed me in the process. Had I known that I needed an approved vendor prior to our transaction, I would have purchased my glasses elsewhere. I mentioned this to her at least three times including at the end of the transaction just to be sure. She assured me. Long story short, I did not get what I asked for and in fact, I found out that I had 2 levels down in quality of lenses that I had when I walked in. Essentially, I was lied to in order that she made a sale at my expense. If she had told me that LensCrafters could not match the quality of my original lenses then I would have said ok and walked out of the store! NONE of this would have happened. NONE.

I managed to get my money back from the supervisor the day I came in to return these glasses but she was doing her best to pressure me into keeping these glasses if I would let them turn their lenses into transitionals, at no extra charge to me. NO way. They were trying to salvage the sale with features I wasn't the least bit interested in.

After all of this, I simply asked Jill if they could let me keep these glasses until my new ones came in from a different store since my eyes had adjusted to the new prescription. The answer was no. I have suffered from migraines all my life and I simply didn't want to go through changing my poor eyes back to the old prescription in the meantime. They couldn't even do that much. I offered to leave something of collateral and they refused that. I would have left whatever was agreeable just to avoid a migraine. All the supervisor could do was repeat herself about their store policy. This was LensCrafters fault and their employee, not mine! I could not have cared less about their company policy at that point. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN ANOTHER LENSCRAFTERS AGAIN! I know the names of the two women but I decided to not post.

CONSUMER BEWARE! I went to LensCrafters to get contacts. I went through the process of getting fitted and trained on how to use and maintain my contacts. The trial contacts were ordered when I completed my eye exam. I was told it would take 4-5 weeks as my contacts were special order. Approximately two weeks after that I received a call from a store rep who told me there was a problem with ordering the contacts; that they were having a communication problem with the fax machine (really? a fax machine?) so now the order would be delayed in excess of the normal 4-5 weeks. When the contacts finally arrived a few weeks later, I received training at the store. I was then told I should order a supply of contacts. I was planning to order a 12-month supply, however when they told me that the contacts that I need cost $448.20 for a 6-month supply, I only ordered 6-months.

Now I had to wait another 4-5 weeks for my permanent prescription order to arrive. During that time, I was to use the trial pair they ordered. I have never worn contacts before and somehow, about three weeks along, one of the contacts ripped. I called the store and was told that the trial pair was the only pair they ordered; I would have to wait for my permanent order to be delivered. I was going away in two days and really needed to wear my contacts. I was taken aback when they told me that they only ordered one trial pair. One trial pair for a person that has never worn contacts. This just make no sense. If that contact had ripped the within the first week, I would never have had any experience using contacts before my permanent, $448.00 order arrived. After the permanent order arrived, I continued to have problems with contacts ripping. So, now 4-months along, I had to order another 6-month supply.

I ordered the new contacts from a website. The same manufacturer, same contacts, same 4-5 weeks for delivery; only $219.98 for a 6-month supply. I can guess that LensCrafters pays less than I did so that means I was charged over 100% mark up! I personally find this a violation of trust. I expect to pay some markup but over 100% is offensive. So, before I gave a poor review of LensCrafters, I thought I would give them a chance to make things right. I was told by their rep that they are unwilling to do anything about this matter because the 30-day post sale period is over. Keep in mind that I trusted that I was not getting taken advantage of, so I did not feel the necessity to look at the whole picture until long after their 30-day post sale period for complaints or requests for refunds. I will never do business with LensCrafters or anyone associated with them ever again. I recommend that anyone else do the same.

I have never been treated so badly and refused service before when trying to make a purchase. I have a small bridge to my nose and find alternative fit frame fit better. I went to this location because according to the Lenscrafters website they sell women’s alternative fit glass for people with a smaller bridge to their nose. When I asked Jeana to try alternative fit glasses she had no clue what they were. I had to show her on my phone that lenscrafters even carries them and that they are a thing.

At this point she became extremely rude and made it very clear that I was unwelcome to shop there. She then told me that the only pair of alternative fit glass were a pair of Oakley. When I asked to see them she then said they were only in men’s. When I inquired about ordering online and then having them fitted there and was told that they will not help me. According to the websites find in store feature on my iPad all 16 pairs for women are carried by this store. I asked for my prescription so I may purchase glasses elsewhere and was not given it and told that I must have a follow up visit at that location to get the contact prescription after paying the $40 co pay. If I would like to use a different location I must repay.

I loved the FL Lenscrafters I went to where I got new glasses in 2017. My prescription got better every year for distance and reading rarely changed. No issues getting progressives with transitions at an in store lab in 2 hours and only one issue ever and it was quickly fixed. I moved to TN and needed a replacement pair because I physically destroyed mine. The prescription hadn’t changed but I was told I had to get a new script to get new glasses. The eye doctor made the script too strong and when I saw what he wrote I told him I was concerned because I’ve never had numbers that high. He told me he wished he could use bar codes so people couldn’t see what he wrote. That’s like a doctor wanting to keep someone in the dark about a med being given - not knowing the name of it.

Waited 2 weeks to get glasses that were way too strong. I was told I would have to get used to them. I’ve worn progressives for decades and never was told it would take weeks and maybe months to get used to. I got migraines every time I put them on so only wore them to read. I went back saying they were too strong. I was told I was wrong but was told the measurements were wrong. 2 more weeks and they were still too strong. Then the transitions quit going back to clear. 2 more sets of lenses waiting two weeks each and still too strong. I called corporate to get my old script back. 2 more weeks to get those glasses. So I’ve waited over 2 months to get lenses that were correct. That would never happened at the in store lab in FL.

I’m done with Lenscrafters. I pay cash and close to $700 and have to fight to get the script that was correct and wait so long to get the correct lenses. Let’s see if these continue to transition. I’m told they’re the fastest and newest transitions and I’ve had only problems with them. NEVER again!!! They don’t care about customers any more. They want to save money by having all the glasses made in one lab in Atlanta so now they are overworked and mess up and take forever!

Made selection and purchase, in-store. Sales Rep explained she will hold frames at the store and only send away for lenses that she can later "pop-in." Took one week for the lenses to arrive - I returned to the store to pick up. When I tried on the glasses (for which my receipt states a retail value of 849.67,) I could not see out of the right lens. Sales rep said to give it a couple days to see if my eyes adjust to it. I had a follow-up appt with my optometrist as I was in the process of trying a new brand of contacts... While there, I made the complaint about my vision issue with the new eyeglass prescription for the right-eye. Upon checking the strength of the right lense, Optometrist informed me that the lens was made using the wrong power and axis.

Since I was already awaiting an order for contact lenses from Lenscrafters, my thought was to take care of everything with as few visits to the store as possible and called to inform them about my optometrist's findings regarding the right lens. If the lab didn't need the frames to make the first set of lenses, and the store verified they still have the measurements, why would they need the frames for a re-order? Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to ask this.

Instead: Oh, how dare I use my own optometrist? And what nerve I have calling the store for a solution.

Not only was I treated with such disrespect from their "manager on duty", when I asked to speak with a different person, their "general manager" just couldn't be bothered to hear me out. While the MOD could be heard in the background calling me names, the GM couldn't read me their return policy fast enough to get me off the phone. When I tried to explain that I was waiting on my contacts to arrive, she was too busy telling me to just return the glasses, get a refund, and go elsewhere that I couldn't even get ten words out!

The Regional Manager who responded to my corporate complaint was far from a better experience. Not only did she NOT apologize for my experience, she reported my complaint to be "resolved" without ever delivering on her promise. Called corp support again today - it's been three weeks now since I paid for the glasses I can't wear - and they tell me I have to wait for another 5 days before they can escalate my concern past the regional mgr...

She had promised to have a return pkg sent to me so that I would not have to return to the store and deal with the very people who were the catalysts to my complaint - which btw is a solution I had to ask for since her only offer was for me to drive to a store more than a 100 miles away! Not only was there absolutely no follow-up nor follow-through, corp states that the RM will need to call the store to see if the store manager mailed out the pkg (why wasn't this done immediately?)... Since the store "managers" are the very source of my dissatisfaction, I'm hard pressed to believe that either of them have any integrity. At this point, my sanity is more important than the +800.00 spent between my insurance company and me... Now, I am reaffirmed as to why I stopped going to Lenscrafters more than 10 years ago. I will NEVER return. Buy from them at your own risk - and pray that you never have to make an exchange!

I had my eyes examined next door. LensCrafters checked my current glasses and made me a new pair. I paid for the glasses on my initial visit. Each pair is a two weeks wait. When I received my new glasses, I could see better without glasses. And, my eyesight is very poor. LensCrafters requested that I have my eyes rechecked. I got a slightly different prescription. LensCrafters made me a new pair of glasses. I still could see more clearly without glasses.

LensCrafters sent me back again to get my eyes re-rechecked. I did and had a third set of glasses made. When received, I still could not see anything, close or far away, clearly. The store manager came out upset and looked at my old lenses. They were of a much higher quality (in his words) than the lenses they had sold me. So, LensCrafters made me another pair of glasses. When they finally came in, I still couldn't see. A fourth person at the same location watched me try to read a large advertisement on their inner wall. I had to look up and down to read it. She discovered that the progressive part of the lens was in the wrong location for how I had wore glasses for the past 50 years. The LensCrafter personnel asked if I would wear the glasses down at the end of my nose, instead of where I have wore my glasses my entire life.

The store manager was angry and said they would make one last pair and that is all they could do. Well, all of the errors were theirs and they are now showing hostility towards me. They made the glasses, but, I never picked them up. I went elsewhere in town and got the great pair of glasses the first time. I will never go to LensCrafters again. I had prior issues with LensCrafters for my son's glasses. I guess I didn't learn. I've waiting a year to author this review. Caveat emptor (i.e. buyer beware)!! Sincerely, Michael.

Very day I picked them up I had to return them because I tried to read something and realized a water looking smudge in lens which distorted my vision whenever I tried reading... Less than 3 months later I realized the scratch proof lenses I purchased started getting scratched despite proper care. They replaced at that point again, so I asked specifically to not put anti-scratch coating of which they said it’s mandatory.

Few months later again it started, but now I realized that these aren’t scratches, the coating actually started deteriorating, in so much that now I can’t see anything through them. Being that I couldn’t see properly I actually injured myself at work because I couldn’t see the sharp edges on a product I was installing. Got hurt badly, took glasses off and then realized that the product had those sharp edges. Contacted Lenscrafters by phone, email and walked in, no one wants to help because they know that there extremely high priced products are defective. Reading reviews now, I realized that many people have the very same issue.

They prescribed -25 when all my previous glasses that I use for more than 5 years were always prescribed with -75. They rely solely on a new machine that do all the job but it is clearly out of calibration. If that is the case, then they should find a new optometrist, he is not doing anything. He is totally useless.

Then, when I came back to redo the exam, the optometrist gave me the worst attitude and tried to make me feel dumb. I have to argue with him to get my glasses fix. If all he does is just use the machine, they should just put that machine on the floor and get rid of him (like the new machines by the movie theatres). I absolutely recommend anybody to avoid LensCrafters. They are bad big time.

At first they asked if I had a protection plan, no I did not. Then they said they were defective and replaced the lenses free of charge.

Now after 7 months, the lenses have spots and look like they're disintegrating. Very hard to see out of. Every day that I wake up, there's more scratchy spots on them. I use water and an eyeglass cloth to clean them. My old glasses that were 2 years old don't look anything like that. I have never had glasses look like this in the 30+ years I have worn glasses. Went back to the store, they cannot replace lenses because the prescription is old. I requested a refund on the cost of the lenses. The mgr, Andrew said not possible. He told me that I did not use the approved cleaning solution. He also asked me if I wore my glasses everyday. It's my fault. He can work with me on getting a new pair. I cannot go back to that store. Being accused of being a liar and I'm not going to take a chance that the new lenses will be defective too.

Sorry that this review is so long, there is just a lot to say about my Lenscrafters experience and I believe I need to share everything that happened, so you can make a choice if you want to buy from Lenscrafters. I recently went to my eye doctor's and received a new prescription for my contacts and glasses. Several eye care stores, including Lenscrafters told me that my current frames were too old and the people who worked there were afraid that my frames would snap when putting in the new lenses. I decided to try Lenscrafters because they have such a big selection of frames and I was excited to try something new. I picked my new frames and was told that my glasses would take about a week to come in because I have such a high prescription, which I completely understood and had no problem with.

I received a text when my glasses were in and when I tried on my glasses, this is when things started to go wrong. I told the lady who was helping me that my new glasses felt very crooked on me, and she adjusted them a little bit, but told me that my eyebrows are uneven, so my glasses may appear to not be straight, but they actually are. Later when I went home, I looked ridiculous because of how crooked my glasses were. I am not kidding, you could not even see one of my eyebrows because of how crooked they were. I have been wearing glasses since kindergarten and I am now 22, and I have always been able to see both eyebrows while wearing my glasses. I am still not sure why the woman did not want to adjust my glasses. I have never dealt with someone who was so quick to tell me that the glasses were fine, while I was trying to explain that they looked and felt crooked.

I also realized that my left lens had a small chip on the side and that's when I noticed how thick my lenses looked too. I know I have a very high prescription (-8.75 and -9.75 in glasses) and I am used to the lenses sticking out a little on the sides, but the entire lenses were sticking out so far. I was upset that they were so thick. I wear my glasses a lot of the time and these glasses from Lenscrafters were over 500 dollars, I was expecting something better.

A few days later, I returned to the store and a different lady helped me. I explained that my new glasses were crooked, and that the lenses were extremely thick, and I was just not happy with how everything looked. The woman took one look at my glasses and told me that they were not beveled, and that the arms were very loose as well. She then put the glasses on the table and told me that yes they were very crooked. I explained that the lady who originally helped me told me that my eyebrows were uneven, but this new lady told me that she does not tell by eyebrows if glasses are crooked. She said that she could look at the glasses and see that the arms were too wide and that one of the arms was nowhere near the table when sitting them down.

So I was learning that my glasses were not completely finished, but no one seemed to look at my glasses to see this! A lady from the lab beveled my glasses and explained that my glasses were made in a warehouse and then shipped to their store, but apparently no one even glanced at my glasses to see the chip or the lenses that were sticking out of the frames. The lady explained that there has been a few problems with glasses being shipped to their location when the glasses can't be made in their store, but if there have been problems, I don't understand why no one would then look at the glasses and check to make sure that every pair is okay. When I returned to the store, the two women that helped me were extremely patient and kind, which I appreciated, I was just very frustrated that this happened.

I was told that when glasses are shipped to their store and not actually made in their location, the glasses are supposed to be ready to be handed out to the customers, but that is simply not true. I was much happier with my glasses when they were actually finished. They were straight on my face, the arms were tight, and the lenses were dramatically thinner, much less obnoxious than how my glasses originally looked.

Also, during this visit while I was working to get the glasses finished, the woman who originally sold me the glasses and fitted (not really) the glasses on me once they came in, was staring at me the entire time. She obviously recognized me and I am sure she was just curious as to what was wrong, but she was just staring and staring and staring, it was so unprofessional. I tried my best to ignore her, but it was just so strange. I ended up contacting corporate and received a discount for all my troubles, which was nice. The story is not over yet.

After a few days of wearing the glasses, I began to realize that the arm pieces were too tight and the glasses would actually creak when I opened and closed the arm pieces. I also brought the glasses to my eye doctor's to get the prescription checked because I was seeing double while wearing them and since Lenscrafters was messing up so badly, I thought maybe my prescription in the glasses was wrong.

The prescription was actually correct, but the employee who was helping me in my eye doctor's showed me that the arm pieces were so tight that you could move the arm pieces wider or thinner and the arms were so tight, the glasses would stay in any way you would mold them in. I am assuming that every single time I put on my glasses, they fit differently, which maybe would change how I was seeing out of them, making me see double. I strongly believe that my frames were defective, so who knows, the lenses could have been as well. I ended up calling Lens Crafters and explained that even though I was receiving a discount for the glasses, and I appreciated that, I wanted a full refund because the glasses were just a mess.

I did go to the store again, and returned the glasses with no problems, which was very nice. I then went to a Walmart Vision Center and got a pair of glasses that were only about $250 and the quality is amazing and I do regret not going to Walmart in the first place. I will not be returning to Lenscrafters. I should have looked at reviews of Lenscrafters, and seen all of these poor reviews because I would not have tried Lenscrafters. I recommend just going to a Walmart Vision Center. So much cheaper and so much better. Oh, and I see fine out of the Walmart glasses, I do not see double, so I am assuming everything about the frames/lenses from Lenscrafters were defective.

I didn't like the lens, so I did not return. I ordered what I always had ordered in the past.

Why would a company take my hard earned money for an exam they failed to give me a heads up on regarding my insurance - then additionally withhold my prescription I'm entitled to after the exam was paid in full. They will not release it due to my lack of follow up? The follow up was about a different lens to try and nothing to do with my prescription which had remained the same for years in a row. I took out the extended care warranty to replace lenses of frames in case of damage. Last week I ordered replacement lenses (same prescription) as my current lenses were scratched a bit. This week, I went to have the new lenses put in. The NEW left lens had a deep scratch that was worse than the lens I was replacing. And, the NEW right lens had buff marks in the plastic that caused a bad halo effect looking at lights.

The manager has ordered a new set of lenses, but this happened to me a few years ago as well. Lenscrafters could not produce a clean set of lenses right out of the lab. Note, that this is there off-site lab, not the onsite lab. My prescription can't be done in a day. How can they take my insurance money and hold me responsible from the time of online order? This is insurance fraud with horrid customer service.

I was lied to at the point of sale about options for bifocals. The salesperson told me that I needed progressive lenses. They felt terrible and made me dizzy. I took them back and had them remade. When I picked them up a second time, he told me that I would just have to get used to them and try them for a couple of months. Every time I wore them, they made me nauseous.

About 3 months had passed when a friend mentioned that they could have made them lined, I went back to the store and talked a new sales person. She said they could remake them for a $50 charge. I explained my situation and she said that it had been over 30 days and they would have to charge me. I left the glasses with them and walked out. There went $160 bucks down the toilet. I only needed the bifocals. I have no way prescription for actual lenses. Why would I spend another 50 bucks on something that they didn’t offer to fix in the first place. Walgreens has readers for 3 bucks. I will not go back to Lenscrafters.

On April 2019 while looking at glasses frames in the Salisbury MD store, an employee waked over to me, put his arm around my waist and said “ how we doin today?” I was shocked, disgusted, reported it immediately to the lab mngr who was the only mngr on duty, as well as, filed a formal complaint with Luxottica. EE relations took my statement via telecon the next day.

To date, noone in corporate has responded to me, despite leaving messages at the location in Ohio. Luxottica clearly does not care about customer experience or safety. Had I been a fellow employee of that jerk, HE would’ve been fired. To have been physically touched that way by an employee in a store is beyond inappropriate!!! I used to pay $400 or $500 for glasses at Lenscrafters until I discovered Zenni Optical. It’s a China company but I gave it a shot. That was eight years ago and I have now purchased about six pairs of glasses from them. I’ve never had a defect or any reason to contact them over any of the glasses I received. The total I paid for those six pairs of glasses is less than what one pair cost at LC. It’s great to support an American company, but not when they’re gouging you.

I normally don’t write reviews but I felt it’s necessary to write a review of this location and Lenscrafters in general. Don’t ignore the negative reviews, and don’t always believe the positive reviews since it often is propped up by employees. At your first visit, most Lenscrafters will treat you like royalty after your eye exam, hoping you shell out hundreds of dollars for overpriced Chinese-made glasses that break just as easily as any others. They’ll use deceptive pricing and discounts, like a continual promo of nearly half-off an already astronomical price to begin with, which many consumers have wised up to, and now purchase from cheaper outlets online. You basically pay extra for lip service and for their high rent, being situated in high-end malls to make it appear more luxurious or elite, which doesn’t add any real value to the cheaply made product itself.

I give them credit, you are treated generally well when you are initially helped, as they want to sell you on overpriced glasses. However, they treat you like an unwanted leper if you have any concerns later on with your glasses, or if you accidentally damage your glasses and want to use the protection plan they sold you on (which costs extra to buy, and it costs even more when you want to replace your glasses). They’ll tell you how some customers have tried to pull a fast one on them in the past (however that’s done, I don’t know), but they really don’t need to act like some sort of condescending sleuth when an honest customer needs to use their protection plan for their damaged glasses.

I was patient and polite, since I just wanted to replace my glasses instead of quibbling in return with them, however the ladies I dealt with at this location and others were just plain bat crap crazy and completely out of line. They acted overly authoritative and unhelpful, so they must have been on a power trip being in a managerial role. Each store creates its own rules apparently, so anything they tell you at one Lenscrafters won’t hold up at another location when you relocate (some locations haphazardly determine eligibility for using the warranty, like if your cat gets a hold of glasses, or they get run over, or if they're not scratched enough). I’ll spare you all the details of my stressful experience with this chain, as I just want to get my main points across without writing a novel.

I just know that after being talked down to, with them raising their voice and acting condescending and smug, like some sort of tag team that won’t assist a loyal repeat customer who shelled out literally thousands of dollars over the years, I just don’t see the point returning to this Lenscrafters. You’ll find the same games when you move and go to another location, since they discretely write notes in your file, casting you in bad light so you’ll be treated like a leper at any other location you go to. After realizing other Lenscrafters in this area have similar issues (read reviews), I’m not alone in how I perceive this business.

Once you read deeper into the company itself, you understand it’s part of a much larger entity, Luxottica, a foreign company (pays no taxes like Amazon, etc?). Luxottica owns the whole spectrum of companies involved in your eye glass purchase with its monopolistic practices. It goes full circle. They own the insurer you most likely have (EyeMed), most eyeglass retail chains (Lenscrafters, Pearle Vision, etc.), and the manufacturers (Ray-Ban, Persol, Oakley, etc.).

If you give any hint of wanting to get your prescription and shop elsewhere, you’ll be given the runaround, and you’ll find that you’re limited to buying from one of Luxottica’s retail chains with your EyeMed insurance. The truth is, you’re better off buying cheap glasses from another retailer without any protection plan, than buying new ones when they fall apart a year later and your prescription has already changed then anyways. I spent a small fortune at Lenscrafters over the years and regret it, and after the way I was treated, I won’t spend another dime on this monopolistic company ever again.

On May 17th, just over 2 weeks ago, I placed an order for a pair of prescription eyeglasses. I uploaded the prescription from my doctor in order to make it easier (and quicker, since I'm having issues with my contact lenses and NEED my glasses) for LensCrafters to fulfill my order. LC asks for "5-7 business days" to process an order, and then for you to allow time for shipping. No problem. I'm thinking that I'll probably fall closer to the 5 days since I uploaded my script and they would not need to go "chasing" it from my doctor. Either way, if it took 7 days, that was fine too, since they gave me that notice in advance.

Fast forward to Thursday, May 30 - It has now been exactly 9 business days (not including the holiday on May 20th) since placing my order, and, as it does every day since ordering, my order status is showing as "in process," not shipped, not completed. Nope. Still in process. So I called their customer service line, and the gentleman (if you can call him that) who answered was extremely rude and hung up on me. He did not provide his name, he did not verify MY name, and when I said that I wanted LC to give me expedited shipping at no cost to me given how long they are taking, he simply said "fine" and disconnected the call.

I called back and spoke with a woman who was very sweet and who advised that due to system issues, LensCrafters had been having issues getting orders completed and sent out, and that - upon review AND upon having her supervisor review - it was determined that my glasses were "getting their finishing touches" (their words, exactly), and that they were going to be mailed out the following day (Friday, May 31).

Today is June 3, and as of today, the website STILL shows my order as "in process," so once again I called LC. The girl - Jasmine - who answered was completely ineffective and not helpful. She tried to blame it on the fact that LC needs time to process prescriptions (time which they clearly indicate on their website will take 5-7 business days, and never mind the fact that we are now ELEVEN days out from when I placed my order). I asked for a supervisor and she said none was available. I asked for her supervisor's supervisor, and she said she couldn't direct me to her supervisor's supervisor until I'd spoken with her *unavailable* supervisor. Jasmine told me that my eyeglasses were "getting their finishing touches" (hmmm, that sounds familiar), and that they would be mailed out within TWENTY-FOUR TO FORTY-EIGHT HOURS!

I finally got so upset that I told Jasmine that I wanted to just cancel my order. I do not want to wait any longer, and I want the $600 back on my card so that I can go get a pair of glasses NOW. I was told that it is too late to cancel my order because of "how far along" LensCrafters is in making them. Well it is NOT my problem that they have taken twice as long as promised to even PROCESS them, let alone send them out, and that they REFUSE to let me speak with a supervisor!! Any consumer should have the RIGHT to cancel an order IMMEDIATELY if the company fails to provide the PROMISED services that were paid for!

Meanwhile, I tried using their online chat, I called AGAIN (and AGAIN got Jasmine) and was AGAIN told I could not speak with a supervisor AND I could not cancel my order - all to no avail. This company is HORRIBLE, and I will NEVER do business with them again. I will be calling my bank to have the payment RETRACTED as I was not provided with the services and the goods that I paid for AS AGREED.

Poor Customer Service!!!! NEVER SHOP HERE! (Murfreesboro, TN). I went to LensCrafters about 1 month ago to shop for my yearly frames. I picked out two pair of frames totaling $960.00. I spent about an hour and some in the store picking out frames and getting them sized. The individual who waited on me was very kind and sweet. She has helped me in the past. The store does not take my WageWorks flex health card. Last year, this was not an issue. I simply did a claim with WageWorks requesting for them to "pay my provider." WageWorks simply mailed a check directly to the store to pay for my frames.

This year, I followed the exact same procedure and explained that I would be using the same process. After the check was received at the store, I was informed that the check would not process due to some new system that they have. (This is not a problem and I would not be upset, had I been told this before I took the time and energy to pick out the frames.) It has been over a month since my eye exam and I still do not have my new prescription. The store itself tried to get the check processed for me without success. (Something about needed a PIN number.)

I then learned that the store no longer takes 3rd party checks. I tried to contact corporate via the website complaint site. I was told that I would receive a call within 5 business days. It has been 7 business days and no call or response. Today, I called the customer service complaint again to follow-up. The agent stated that she read in the updates, that the store cannot take the 3rd party check. However, no one has bothered to call me from the store or the corporate office. Meanwhile, My $1000 check sits at the store. I guess they don't need my money. And guess what? They will not be receiving any more of it. This was a very tacky way to handle this.

The store could have decided to deposit the check into the LensCrafters' account and pay for my glasses. In the future, I would have known that this was not possible. The responsibility lies with them, as no one communicated that to me, while I was picking them out, getting them sized, or when I voiced that I would be requesting a check from WageWorks to pay the provider directly. This could have all been avoided by letting me know this up front. But what is even more frustrating is that the Corporate office NEVER BOTHERED TO CALL. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will never shop here again. Now, I have to go pick up my check, wait for the funds to go back to my account and start all over again somewhere else. This process has been going on over a month. WHAT BUSINESS HOLDS A $1000 CHECK AND NEVER BOTHERS TO CALL YOU. My anger is with the company, not the sales associate.

I have been ordering glasses online for over 8 years from other companies so I am very familiar with the online glasses experience. I submitted an order online for some single vision glasses on a Monday. I also submitted my current Prescription. Then on Friday I get an email saying they need my prescription which I already sent. They asked me to fill out a form to allow them access to my local eye doctor's prescription. Which he gave them the exact same paper I already sent in.

Next, I get an email saying they can not do dual vision glasses so they will be canceling my order. I never asked for dual vision so I had to make another phone call. I had already paid for and selected a single vision lens so I don't understand why they decided to change it to dual vision. I guess since my prescription has numbers for distance and reading, they assumed that's what I really want. The last phone call took 10 minutes. I finally got my order entered and during the process I received 10 emails, sent 3 emails, and made 2 phone calls. This is a lot of time out of my work day. I can not speak to the quality of the glasses as I have not received them yet. I recommend Framesdirect.com. I have several glasses ordered from them and have never had a problem. I just ordered some Oakley Sunglasses from Frames Direct where I have no insurance and it cost way less than Lenscrafters was charging with insurance.

The store staff suggested that I get a different frame, and I picked out an Oakley frame they had on display, and asked them to use my progressive prescription that they had on file and measured me for to use in those frames and call when they were ready. I called a week later to determine their status and was told that they had a policy of not putting their clear lenses into Oakley frames, only tinted ones. I indicated I wanted a refund, but they said that the time that I could ask for a refund had expired after thirty days, despite their "two year warranty" that they offer. The store manager was unhelpful and referred me to their corporate office which you can not email or call.

After numerous complaints and multiple calls to the store about the matter, they referred me to their district manager who not only was unhelpful, but rude, hostile and obnoxious, telling me not to shop at LensCrafters again, as if that were likely. She indicated that the corporate office would make a refund but it would take twenty days to receive. I needed to threaten small claims court legal action to receive my refund. Now I came to rely on them for low cost for my money, having a wide variety of frames from $ to $$$ or above, #1-knowing my vision and #2-getting my glasses in an hour. So far so good, so let's move into more recently.

Last year I purchased eyeglasses as before and they always talk all that is offered including the insurance. This year I thought I accepted and paid for it. I trusted the rep to include everything I asked for and then I pay, so I thought. I accidentally sat on and broke my frames, so off I went to get them replaced. I was told first that they did not have the frame, then that I had no insurance. They sold me Sferoflex brand frames from a pair of sunglasses to fit the size of my eye they had on file. They are not good at all, but I kept them until now. So, after waiting an hour, they looked fine and I could see, so to the register I go. $398.00 later I am not happy, but I had to wait another year for frames (insurance).

This year I get frames every year and all the bells and whistles including breakage insurance. I go as usually to Lenscrafters for my exam for specs and can't wait because I cannot see with the sferoflexs at all. I decide on a pair and place all the bells and whistles and what do you know, I am being charged $39 for the breakage insurance and $84 ($123) for some other stuff I am completely covered for. So I asked what the other charges were for and she could not answer. I came prepared this year with federal coverage also. She ran that insurance and it came up $10 more than the new insurance ($133) and again, she could not (or would not) answer what the charges were.

I also could not help but notice that the rep that sold me the sferoflex frames was no longer working there. I decided to research some other businesses that took my insurance that included the breakage insurance and the bells and whistles. Lenscrafters FAQ's shared that they and several other places prices may vary. Well should have read that first. So, I went with a competitor and purchased a pair of frames that included everything that my insurance covered (it was listed) and my deductible was $0. I get my glasses in 5-7 days and of all places that do adjustments, I was told to go to Lenscrafters and through a contract with this competitor they will do adjustments at no charge to me. I do not understand why the rep did not want to share with me what my costs were or list exactly what was included in the cost, or maybe she was instructed not to tell me what was included.

I called after 25 days and was told that only one lens came in and that the other one was on its way. However he went on to say they ordered both lenses that day and would have them here in 10 days. Still nothing and no communication from them. Hoping I can cancel the order and receive a refund so I can go somewhere reputable. Bad service and even worse communication!

Third complaint issued. No results as of today 1-19-19...last. Long time customer of Lenscrafters 15 years or so... I have a medical plan thru my place of employment in which money is deducted from my salary to cover my eyewear expense. Technically I came into Lenscrafters on 125 Route 46 Totowa NJ 07512 to receive assistance with my somewhat bent frames... Without even consideration to attempt to adjust or repair my expensive glasses....I was rudely told No by the female and male store manager that they wouldn't try...which I felt was unprofessional and not company policy or procedure. However an associate overheard this conversation and was very apologetic and assisted me.

He also shared with me that it was possible that my Persol was made out of solid metal...so it was very likely that if I or anyone was to bend the frame slowly it should be fine... I am sorry I can't recall the associate's name. He should be merited 'cause I myself did take his advice and it Worked... Nevertheless I purchased another pair of glasses with him the same day 'cause my original lenses was scratched. My initial complaint again...I feel the two managers should definitely be spoken to about their behavior... Please contact me ASAP. My name is John **... My email address don't seem to get me a live person or voice. I attempted that way with my prior complaint... Thank you.

Badly made eyeglasses Lenscrafters Orland Park, Il Mall - In a June 2018, I purchased 3 pairs of glasses, which included one pair of sunglasses (no line bifocals). The last time visited Lenscrafters was 6 years prior. I did not know the company was sold. Anyway, I had to go back 3 times to get the frames adjusted because I had to bob my head up and down when at my computer or even reading the wording in my car visor. I could see better with them off. Today I went to an ophthalmologist and met with the technician. She spent one hour looking at the lenses and said the lenses were not cut correctly. The line for the “no“ line part of the lenses was not straight. It is my fault for not returning these glasses last June, but I wanted consumers to know of my experience. In addition, the staff is not helpful and seemed rushed. The fact that the store was not busy should have been a sign to me.

Told them I had purchased insurance and I would call Lenscrafters to see if they'd take care of it. Boiled down to... Ordered glasses for my son. He is diabetic and his eyes are getting worse. He had a pair of Ray Ban I purchased from Lenscrafters less than a year ago with the protection plan. They would not give me a discount on replacement lenses even though I’ve purchased 3 pairs of “High End” glasses and was a good customer. Ordered a pair of High End Prada that ended up costing $638.00. The frames on the site said in stock. After about 7 days I called customer service to find out what inventory fulfilled meant. They told me that the frames were ordered. Wait the site said in stock? I called for the next week and got various lies and deceitfulness from customer service.

After the second week I was assured the glasses were ready and that because of the delay my son would receive his glasses on Tuesday. That was Friday. I called. Also the customer service rep told me an escalation person would call me. No one called. On Saturday I got a tracking number and email that the glasses had shipped. Hooray right! My son's birthday was Sunday and I called him all excited that the tracking said his glasses were coming Monday. He called me back and noticed I was wrong and that UPS said it would arrive next Monday. Wait. You promised me expedited shipping for all the problems. You promised me a callback. You promised his glasses would arrive on Tuesday and now they're coming a week later making the total wait time 3 weeks. Totally unacceptable business practices.

After the 8th call today I was told again someone would call me and again no call. At this point if they gave me the glasses for free it wouldn’t make it better!! You lied to me and made a fool out of me in front of my son and co workers that watched me call every day. You disappointed a kid for his Birthday. The worst... I had to read a gut wrenching text from my son that all he wants to do is see again!!! Shame on you Lenscrafters! I also asked to speak to the president or CEO and was told no. I got a new pair in January this year and already the lenses are badly scratched. I clean them on a clean cloth freshly laundered almost daily (as it happens, cotton underwear before I put it on) and the lenses are badly scratched. I have been doing this for sixty plus years so I know what the hell I am doing. I did not buy the warranty on the lenses (why should I buy a warranty??) so they offered me 20% off the cost of new lenses. $365 to replace faulty lenses? I don't think so. The eye doctors were amazing. The sales dept tried to be helpful but they were severely understaffed. The frames were amazing and the prices were higher than expected but they had great deals. The problem is that the lens material--even top of the line-- is horrible. They are by far the worse lenses I've ever had including $5 drug store sunglasses. They are constantly dirty. I have to clean them with alcohol (as the store showed me) and then don't let anything touch them or they smear and you have to use alcohol again.

My glasses from other companies were made of superior material. I can breathe on them and wipe them off with my shirt and they are fine. In addition, even though I rinse the alcohol with plain water, it might build up under the frame because my eyes have been reacting--burning and dry skin. Also, they could not get the progressive alignment correct. The frames were nice but I asked for them in solid black and they said they weren't available--yet there they were on the website.

They have a 30 day limit of returns and repairs even if they send the frames to another store. I seriously don't know how they stay in business? Who goes back? The staff wants to be helpful but after you pay $1000 for glasses and still have trouble every day all day, and they can't get it right, what's the point? Vision is not something to play with -- you can have car wrecks, headaches, fall down, etc... I don't even want to go back for an adjustment. I would never suggest this company to anyone.

On October 16, I went to my eye Dr and gave me a new eye prescription, so, bought a pair of glasses at Lenscrafters 0962, located at 25 Peel Centre Drive #2, Brampton, On L6T3R5. I wore them when I was going back home, I noticed I saw double, so, I went the following day to the store and explained to the Licensed Optician the problem. The Optician asked me to go to the Dr and schedule an appointment to review the prescription. I got my appointment for Oct.22.18, and Dr reviewed my prescription and gave me the same prescription as the measurement done on October 16. The Eye Dr told me that probably the centre of the lenses was not aligned to my pupil.

I took the new prescription to the Optician and explained what the Dr said about the pupil not being aligned to the lenses. The optician started taking measurements of the lenses and told me that what she was going to do was to lower the area of the glass that is to see far away (my glasses are transition) and advised me to wear them in order to get used to the new prescription. I left the glasses and came back the same day in the afternoon and when I wore them on I saw no difference and I left because I was so angry that I did not wanted to start screaming like a crazy person.

I wore them for a few day and saw no adjustment of my vision to the new glasses. On the contrary they were causing me nausea and headaches. Lenscrafters sent me an E-Mail to evaluate them, so I did; I complained and explained the same thing I am writing now. I got a phone call from the store and I was asked to go on Nov.01.18, and the Store Manager was going to take care of me. I went on Nov. 01, and the manager started adjusting the legs of the glasses because the glasses were sitting in an angle over my face and It could cause the problem but there was no difference. So, he brought a lenses and overimposed on the glasses and I saw better.

The manager asked me to leave the glasses, so he can talk and ask the Eye Dr on Nov.05.18 (the day the Dr will be in the office) for permission to change the prescription. Today November 8, 2018 I called to find out about my glasses (It always take only two hours to get my new glasses) however, I was told that my glasses were not ready and started with the excuse that the type of lenses were not in stock that they probably will be on Monday (Nov. 12) (the day that the Eye Dr. will be in, what a coincidence). That means that the Manager did no talked to the Dr on Monday Nov. 05 as he was supposed to do; and to be honest I do not believe him because his voice was stuttering. He had no idea what to say. I paid a lot of money and not only that, I paid for the Eyewear Protection Plan. I regret buying at Lenscrafters since I feel I am treated like an idiot. Lenscrafters should look into that kind of problem since it gives a bad name to the brand.

I recently went to the Nashua NH store located in the Pheasant Lane Mall to have (I thought) new lenses installed in two pairs of glasses and one pair of sunglasses. These were upper end Brooks Brothers and Ray-Ban frames that have been meticulously maintained during the last two years. The technician that was waiting on me even commented on the fact that the frames were some of the he had ever seen. However, once he went and spoke to the lab technician, he then informed me that there was nothing he could do for me and that I had to purchase three (3) new sets of glasses. I obviously got upset at this turn of events and told both the technician and the alleged store manager that they should not be selling products that they would not stand behind.

I then contacted Lenscrafters Customer Service. This was a total waste of time as I waited over a week for a response, and got the same exact response that there was nothing they could do for me. This company is obviously only in the business of constantly selling you new frames, lenses and any other after sell products they can get you to buy. They are about two steps below used car dealers. I will never deal with Lenscrafters again. I will find a reputable local dealer who is actually interested in customers and their eye care, not fast profits.

Then they said they will remake it and I waited a week for them to give me glasses that had peeling antireflective coating.

The third time remaking them the frame was messed up and they couldn't fix it. The fourth time they remade them: the lens is obviously very low quality as it has obvious peripheral distortion. I am writing this review as I have not had a good experience with Lenscrafters, and this is my first experience with this company. I purchased glasses there a few months back and constantly had trouble with them fitting correctly. I went in multiple times to have them fitted, but when I tried wearing them to work they would either be too loose and slide down my face or they were too tight, giving me a headache. I was told that perhaps the frame was too large, and since I am prone to migraines I should pick a smaller frame like my current frame and also go with the more expensive, lightweight lenses as my prescription is high. I was outside the 30 day window to return the glasses as I wanted to do and felt I had no choice but to try another frame. I live over an hour away and am a nurse working night shift, and trying to get to the store was difficult.

I went back to reorder another frame I had picked out, but it was gone (it was supposed to be set aside for me) and had to choose a different frame I did not like but had no option. I ordered the other lenses as well. When these glasses came I had the same issue. They did not fit right, kept sliding down my face. I could not wear them. I went to different Lenscrafters stores even out of the state of AL to see if anyone could get them to fit right. No one could, and no one could help. I went back to the Mobile store and was told that they could possibly remake the glasses with the other frame I had wanted since it was close to my old frame. I had offered to even let them use my old frame for the lenses, but they could not guarantee with how old and worn they were that they would not be damaged in the process, and then I would have no glasses.

I was told to call back in a couple of days to see if the manager would approve the remake. I called back, and the manager at first told me she had no idea what I was talking about. Then she remembered and told me the girl I had been working with called and left me a voicemail days ago to which I replied I never even received a voicemail or call. I felt at this point the manager did not want to deal with my issue anymore and told me if I wanted, I could go to the Lenscrafters in Foley which would be closer to me, and they would remake my glasses for me. The manager told me she would call right away and let them know I would be coming in and to remake the glasses.

About three weeks later I was able to get over to the Foley store upon which the manager there told me she had no idea what I was talking about and no phone call from the Mobile store manager had come in. Nothing was listed in my file, and the Mobile manager was not in the store the day I went to the Foley store, and therefore I made another wasted trip. I was given the phone number for Customer Service and the option to pick and tried calling twice but could not get through. I called again, choosing the option I was told to pick, explained my whole story in detail to the lady and then was told at the end that she could not help me as she was warranty information only and not connected to Lenscrafters.

I called back and finally got in touch with a customer service representative and after giving my complete, detailed story, was told again he could not help me but would send me a link to the website where I would need to write out in detail my experience and within two business days should get a response. I asked why a customer service representative could not help take the report and help with this issue, and I was told that management wanted it this way so the customer was telling the story in his/her own words, and the story would not be twisted or changed by customer service.

I am very dissatisfied with the customer service I have received at the Mobile store and on the phone. I have never in my life encountered a business that has treated me this way and given me the run around I feel. I have a new pair of glasses I cannot even wear with no option of getting this issue resolved. I have never paid as much for a pair of glasses as I have for these, and I have never been so dissatisfied with a pair of glasses as I am with this pair. I only hope this issue gets resolved and that no one else encounters the same problems and frustrations I am in trying to get this situation resolved.

I went to a Lenscrafters in Colorado Springs on Saturday. To start, we had the first appointment of the day. Walking in as they unlocked the doors and somehow still waited 40 minutes to be seen. The tech that does the initial screening was talking to me asking last time I had contacts, and I told her I had been a bit short on cash so the last 6 month supply I got was a year and a half ago and I made it last. (By make it last I meant I wore a pair for a month then went a while with glasses only, then wear a pack for a month and even with that it was a few days in a few out.) But at no point did she ask or clarify what I meant.

Then when I get to the Dr. he seemed very clinical and cold, but I didn't think too much into it yet. He started to ask questions about my vision, to which I wasn't sure how to answer and he started getting rude and arrogant. It was almost as if he was bothered by the fact I was there and didn't understand the questions. Then he asked about my contact usage to which I told him I don't wear them more than a few days in a row at a time as my eyes get irritated and itchy. He was quick to rebuttal with my having made a 6 month supply last a year and a half. I kind of smiled as I realized when he had thought, so I began to explain what I meant and he cut me off and began talking to me as if I was a small child being scolded.

He continued on telling me he would not issue me contacts as I was considered non compliant. Again I started to try and explain what I had meant and that this was solely due to funding at the time. He came back with "if cost is an issue then contacts might not be the option for you". I was a little stunned and in shock. First of all he wasn't even listening to me rather making assumptions based off half facts and judging me. Secondly it's not his decision as to if I can afford glasses or contacts. He was so rude and arrogant and was only getting worse as the appointment went on. Then he proceeded to tell me I could go down the street to get contacts if he decides he refuses to issue them to me. Again, just in pure shock.

We proceed with the appointment and he checks my eyes and tells me he is surprised they are healthy with my contact abuse. What?!?! Then he starts looking for things to scold me on. He actually got a Q-tip to push my eyelid almost inside out... I have never had this done... ever. And he comes out with he can see the inflammation. Okay so at this point I'm really getting annoyed so I told him that was very interesting as I haven't worn contacts in months. He responded with, "That's just how bad it is." (I have terrible allergies and am allergic to my mom's cat that was at my house the day prior, but sure it just had to have been contacts from months prior).

To finalize the appointment he informs me he is putting in my file I am non compliant and that he would give me a trial run of 2 week contacts and he would decide if he would ALLOW me to have contacts. And 2 week trials... yeah those cost me 84.00. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I have always went to America's Best, however this Lenscrafters was closer to my house so I figured myself and my mother would give it a try. I made a huge mistake and will never go back to a Lenscrafters again. I spent almost 300 after insurance to be treated like trash while being told what I may or may not be allowed to do. This man made quick judgment and didn't even listen to me when I tried to explain myself and then just proceeded to make the entire appointment just horrible!

He treated my mother with similar rudeness and made quick judgments on her as well, while asking things that was none of his business. He was questioning her as to why had it been so long since she last had contacts, and why she all of a sudden wanted them now, and why she was getting clear instead of green. And honestly it's not even the questions that was the problem, it was the condescending tone that he was asking. So clearly when I go back for my "trial" I plan to go back to the eye doctors that treat their clients as real adult people, not gum under their shoe begging for a crumb. I just can't begin to express how horrible this man made both myself and my mother feel.

I purchased 4 sets of glasses for me and my spouse. The cost was over $1,000.00 and the wait was nearly 3 weeks. When they finally came in the technician fussed for about one half hour in an attempt to bring the new to the same level of clarity as the old. I was finally advised to wear them for a week or so and "let my eyes adjust". I had thought that was the role of the lenses, but we'll see. Meanwhile my wife discovered that the distance lenses had been put in her reading glasses frame in error. So nearly a month after meeting these nice people we are still waiting to say goodbye to them. And I do mean goodbye. Summary: overpriced, underproductive.

On June 18, 2018 I ordered new lens to my very expensive transitional glasses I bought back in 2017 at LensCrafters. The original lenses were never right so I decided to get them corrected with new lenses, again by LensCrafters. The prescription was incorrectly prepared and the new lens had to be sent back to the lab. I now have been waiting since June 18, over 6 weeks for these glasses. Whenever I call the store they tell me the same excuse over and over that they will check with the lab and get back to me. Unless I call them I never hear back from them. As of today I still haven't heard back from them and after paying over $600 for the glasses originally in 2017, and another $395 for the new lenses in June of this year, I am done doing business with this store and would never recommend them. Very unhappy with the service and rude replies received from the people working there. The store location is at The Avenue At East Cobb in Marietta.

At this very moment I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication and follow up including rude amateur customer service by two of your employees in your Store # 359 Baybrook Mall located in Friendswood Texas 77546. On June 8th, 2018 I completed my Eye exam and received Rx # ** from Dr. ** who was connected to your Store # 359 being this Doctor's Office was very customer Service Oriented and very Professional. The same day I decided to try Lenscrafter because my Insurance AETNA PPO provided me with a $ 125.00 gift certificate and it might be safer and faster that way and being I’m a responsible person and my vision is very important to me I elected to try your Company And received a copy of my order # **.

The salesperson ** was average at best and would talk more than listen to my input. Nevertheless I selected my frames paid for the frame and glasses and was told that being this required special lenses there would be 7 workday turnaround time. On or about June 18, 2018 I received a phone call from your store and went to pick up my glasses, and to my surprise the lenses were not suitable and did not correct my vision and the Store Manager was very Professional and immediately walked over to the Doctor's office and they worked it out on what I really needed and asked her to make sure the order is correct because I do not wish to make this lengthy trip to your store again, because it appears to me that the factory never checked it against the prescription, and apparently, instead of checking it at the factory, they shipped it, then and only THEN checking it to see if they got it right!

A week and a half passed, and not hearing from the store I called, and it was answered by a Ms. ** and I asked for the Manager and she informed me that she was the Manager on Duty and the store manager was out, so she looked up my order and told me it would take three weeks and asked her to have the Store Manager call me which never occurred. So today July 22nd, 2018 not having heard anything I decided to call to see where my paid for glasses where.

I called the store and guess who answered? ** who again informed me that I asked to speak to the store Manager and the initial response I got was again she is not in and ** did not have a date my glasses would be available, so I asked her to have the Store Manager call me the next day, Monday 7/2/018 because if I did not hear from the Store Manager by then, I would be forced to call Lenscrafter Corporate Offices and she stated in the most rude and with an indifferent tone stated the Manager would also be off Monday.

In summary it’s been 46 Calendar days, and no one can tell me when I will receive my paid for merchandise and all I ever end up is having the displeasure of having to deal with a totally RUDE Employee. In summary it's sad to see a business have such disrespectful employees and service and FYI you have most certainly lost my business!!!

The man who helped me at the Lenscrafters in Macy’s at Coddingtown Mall in Santa Rosa basically accused me of stealing because they couldn’t find my mother's profile on their computer. Well that’s a first! And he took the glasses from me and said they would investigate it!!! How rude is that! I was accused of stealing and they took my sunglasses and made me feel very bad...

Nobody should ever be treated that way. I will never shop there ever again! That was the worst shopping experience I’ve had in my entire life! All I wanted to do was get another pair of sunglasses that fit better and I left with nothing feeling very embarrassed. That was not the right way to handle the situation. Oh by the way my mom never gives out her personal information to stores. She believes that she should not be targeted for the items she buys in order for businesses to harass her with coupons or junk mail or annoying robot calls.

I am so upset at the bold faced LIE I received in the 6th Ave store in NYC last week. My husband & I took my daughter on Tuesday (July 10). We had lovely salesperson. We picked out frames and explained that our daughter was going to summer camp and needed new glasses. After fitting our daughter, reviewing the prescription, etc., we were ready to pay. We told our salesperson that she left for camp on July 15 so we would need the glasses the day before. The salesperson hesitated and said the type of lens she required required longer to make. We were disappointed, but appreciated the information.

As we were ready to leave w/o placing an order, the manager said we could in fact receive the glasses before our daughter’s camp. She said the glasses would come on Friday (July 13). If there were adjustments to be made, we could do it the next day. SHE volunteered this information. SHE convinced us to purchase the glasses as the timing would work out. She said she would call on Friday when they arrived. Friday came & went. When my husband called the store the next day, he was told our order couldn’t possibly come until the following week.

The assistant manager called me yesterday (July 18) to tell me the glasses were ready for pick up. I told her to give me a full refund, which she did. My daughter left for camp without a spare of glasses. We wasted our time in the store. We also wasted a week of waiting for the glasses when we could have gone to somewhere else. We routinely bought our families’ glasses from Lenscrafters. But we will not go back now. The store manager’s behaviour, just to get a sale, is rude and unethical.

Was told of 30 day money back guarantee. Picked up my.glasses and was told that it would take take two weeks for my eyes to get used to prisms. Pretty much couldn't see for 2 weeks but kept waiting to adjust. 2.5 weeks later went back and told them... Lady was very nice and started to adjust prism strength on trial glasses. Still couldn't see. She went back and got the Dr. He came out and was very frustrated and told her to take out prisms completely... They made new pair with no prisms.

I can see better now but was never offered any refund on cost for prisms and I actually would have never purchased glasses knowing that double vision couldn't be fixed. The girls are nice in there but the Dr loves to push these prisms. Heard him sell two different patients prisms. Hope they worked for them. Just be careful and don't get talked into prisms unless you know for sure you need them and more so are able to see out of them. You won't get any refunds and they aren't cheap.

I spoke with ** about my unique butterfly, cat frames and that they have the wrong prescription in them to which I need changed. I showed him my prescription from my doctor and soon asked how much it would be. He said, oh wow, "well first we have to find out if we can even do them because of its shape". He asked another associate, and his response was "yeah they can do it". ** then said it should take up to about 3 days for me to hear back from them on whether or not they can do it, but that I probably will not hear anything back until it is finished.

I received a vmail message from ** on May 14, 2018 stating that they CRACKED my glasses. I didn't understand and asked what he meant. He said the place in which they send glasses to, broke my glasses (frames). I went directly over there after work approximately 6:00 pm and saw my favorite unique glasses that do not exist ANYWHERE (not even on-line) are cracked on the top of the frame. RUINED. ** apologized and refunded my $345.00, which was the cost of my prescription.

He then asked how much I paid for the frames. I told him it was some years ago and I no longer have the receipt and that they are definitely not under $150.00. He said they will reimburse me, but he doesn't know how much and that his manager will be in the next day at 12:00 and the manager should give me a call around 2:00. I was in the store approximately 2:15. When I told ** (Store Market Manager) the story, he said I can have any glasses in the store for free. I told him that I do not trust Lenscrafters again, want nothing to do with them and I just want to be reimbursed for my broken frames. He said because I have no receipt that there's nothing he can do. I responded, "I spent no less than $200.00 on these frames" (realizing afterwards that it was more than I told **) and "that's how you deal with your customers?" "Why would I want anything to do with Lenscrafters after YOUR outsourcing company broke my glasses?"

As I walked out of the store he said, "have a good day." I came back approximately 8 minutes later while he was on the phone to read his nametag. He took out his business card and handed it to me (while he was on the phone) and said, "here so you have all the information." He was very unsympathetic with a nonchalant attitude. This was some customer service Lenscrafters. I totally underestimated your professionalism. I think now I see why Lenscrafters are closing around NYC. They are HORRIBLE!!!

Yes, we go in and they were wrong, she couldn't see out of them, we were left to sit and wait for the Dr., another person comes in, no appointment, no insurance and is called in next - we were waiting for close to 2 hours just for the Dr. Re-exam, wait some more, some sales girl, not listening, puts the order in - wait a week, call them - (no text), the lens have been there for 3 days, (then I get a text after my call) bring the frames - wait an hour, go in, they are wrong, the bi-focal were sticking out of the lenses.

They will fix them, wait a week, go in, needs to see another Dr. - wait around, Dr. said they were too strong (this is the 3rd exam since 4/7/18). Under the understanding, they will be ready in an hour, call them, must wait another week - didn't even send her home with her old glasses. It is May 2nd and we must wait another week. I had to ask them to clean them the second time we were there and they were wrong, as they were popping in her old lenses again and handed them to her dirty - eww. Needless to say this manager Kervin has lost my entire family's business and I will tell this story to everyone I know that goes, or plans to go to the Totowa Lenscrafters. My Mother has to sit for another week wearing 3 year old glasses, not able to needlepoint or watch the Yankees. NICE way to treat the elderly Lenscrafters! We selected our frames, and ordered... we also had coupons for extras such as tinting, anti reflective glare etc. which were used. A week went by and my husband received notice that one pair of his glasses were ready for pickup. We live 50 miles away so opted to wait for the other 2 pair to come in... 2 days later he received a call that his 2nd pair were in and I received a call that my glasses had come in but the lens were broken in transit and had to go back to be remade.

Another week went by, still no glasses for me so we went on a weekend and picked up my husband's. I was then told that mine were at the UPS facility in town and hadn't been delivered. I asked whether they could be picked up and they said they called but couldn't. LensCrafters promised they would call me the moment they came in. Several more days and still no news so I called again, and my glasses were indeed in so we drove the 50 miles to pick them up.

Now when I ordered my glasses I ordered a special Anti glare lens which the tech and I had a long discussion about but when my glasses came in they came in as transitional ones with no Anti Glare. I called and the person who did the order said he remembered me and specifically recalled I went with transitionals, he offered to remake and to have me pay the added cost but I am done with LensCrafters. Anti-glare coating defective. This problem is very similar to the complaint of Amy of Charleston, WV, Jan 19, 2018. This is not a problem with this specific location as I have read enough other complaints on other websites to know that this is a company wide problem so any potential Lenscrafters customer should be concerned.

In Nov. 2016 Lenscrafters at the Town Center Mall, Boca Raton FL replaced both lenses in my favorite frame, one that is impossible to find a current replacement for. After a few months, a few spots appeared on the front side of both lenses – looked like water spots but would not wash off. This store said I must have splashed some caustic liquids on them dissolving the anti-glare coating - I greatly doubted that. I had not purchased their protection plan as in over 50 years of wearing glasses I had never had an issue.

So they would not help me without that plan - they claimed that the problem with the coating was the fault of the lens manufacturer, Varilux who I contacted -Varilux stated they neither make nor apply that coating. So I brought the issue to the attention of Lenscrafters headquarters who did instruct this store to replace the lenses – great! However the store would not allow me to purchase their protection plan for these new lenses.

After a few months the coating on both of the new lenses wore off to a much greater extent – not just a few small spots but about 25% on one lens and 50% of the other in the center of both lenses - very unsightly. In this case it looked as if it was caused by wiping the lens with a cloth. I was totally honest with the store, admitted that I sometimes used a soft shirt to do this as opposed to the approved soft cloth which they recommend; during this same time period I was wearing other glasses from other companies which I much more frequently cleaned by using a shirt to wipe them. I have used my shirt for cleaning the many pairs of glasses which I have had for many years - not just a few months - without ever having this problem.

Neither the store nor headquarters was willing to do any more than a discount off their regular price to replace them again – when I asked if I could buy the protection plan for the new pair they stated that they no longer sell the protection plan for Varilux lenses, only for their own brand of lenses which are much more expensive. The store could not explain why they will no longer warranty the Varilux lenses. Am I wrong to be suspicious that this is an admission that they have had too many similar claims for these defective lenses?

I went into Lenscrafters near my job, on Court Street in Brooklyn, NY, the day after Christmas. It was the end of the year, and I decided to get an eye exam to utilize my insurance benefits before the year ended. Upon entering, I was immediately helped. I provided my insurance cards, and promptly saw the eye doctor. I had an exam for eyeglasses as well as contact lenses. When done with the exam, the gentleman who took my insurance, was also the associate who assisted me in picking out glasses. Since my prescription had changed, I decided to get 2 pairs of glasses. After sitting down and going through everything, including my insurance benefits, my out of pocket cost was $1287. I thought this was pricey, but thought it was because I paid extra to get my lenses thinned out, as well as insurance on both frames. I tried putting down half the money, but was told it had to be paid upfront, which I did.

After some time passed, I realized my health insurance company sent me a claim for my eye exam, and not my main vision insurance. After calling, I was told my benefits weren't utilized! SMH. So, when I handed the guy both my insurance cards, apparently, he only ran one. Why he would do that and not mention it to me, is beyond me. I called Lenscrafters to see if I could somehow use last year’s benefits, even though we were now in 2018, I was told I could not. I tried putting up a fight and explaining it was their error not mine, but was told there was nothing I could do.

I decided to go back to the store to return both pair of glasses because at this point I was frustrated. I spoke with the manager, who was able to call my insurance company, explain what happened, and get the price adjusted so that I could get partially refunded and pay the amount I should have paid originally. Because of the professional way she handled things, I decided to keep one pair, and only return the second. In total, I was refunded $880 out of $1200, and also $200 from my FSA.

After some time passes, I realize I never saw the credit on my credit card. I did the return on 1/25/18, and called LENSCRAFTERS on 3/5/18. I spoke with the same woman who helped me, and originally she said the credit should have went through, but that she was going to look into it for me. In the meantime, I started an investigation with my cc company. Three days later, on 3/8/18, the LENSCRAFTERS rep left me a vm saying she confirmed that the credit never went through, and I should be seeing it within the next few days.

Talk about bad ordeals! The whole situation has me completely turned off by LENSCRAFTERS. It was ridiculous that the sales rep knew he sought coverage through one of my insurance plans, and did not utilize my main vision plan at all. When he was going through everything with me, he explained what insurance was taking off, so I assumed he was using both. If he wasn't, that should have been mentioned to me immediately. Additionally, when I called back, the rep on the phone told me that didn't even take my main insurance, which is FEP Blue Vision with Blue Cross Blue Shield. However, when I went into the store, to do the return, the manager explained they did take it, and the rep was probably confused. SMH. So, the rep should have gotten clarification before telling a customer something like that!

LENSCRAFTERS has a huge selection of frames, and is accessible because of their many locations. However, in my experience, they need to do better in training their associates. They should not be assuming anything. The only thing that was the saving grace in this situation, was the 30 day money back guarantee, and the fact that the manager was knowledgeable. She was also very polite. But their cons far outweigh their pros. I wasn't even offered an explanation as to why the credit was never issued to my card. You couldn't pay me to go back to LENSCRAFTERS.

I recently went for an eye test at this establishment which operates inside of a Lenscrafters Store. The glasses I received were not suitable and did not correct my vision. After my 4th visit it still could not be resolved and I was told to come back yet again (This would mean at least another 2 visits). Eventually the store refunded me for the glasses and I returned them. The doctor’s office however is now trying to distance themselves from the store and insist I need to come back for another test. I do not wish to make this lengthy trip again. I went to a different eye doctor who said that the prescription is too severe a change from my last prescription and likely would be too extensive. On January 13, 2018, I went to the Lenscrafters at the Avenue East Cobb in Marietta Georgia for my annual eye exam. Following my exam I elected to have the new lenses placed in my Chopard (Sku #VCH 097 55 16 0743 1400) frames valued at US $494.95. In placing my order I have been a Lenscrafters customer for several years and simply handed over my frames to the manager that fit my glasses. I was then informed that they should be back from the lab within 7-10 days.

After the 7-10 days had passed, I arrived in the store to pick up my glasses only to be informed that the frames had been broken during shipment to the lab. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and offered to remedy the situation by replacing the frames. Unfortunately they did not carry my frames and then offered to have the Regional Manager purchase them on a company credit card. I should have been suspect when they could not purchase the frames from the local store. However, I proceeded to take them up on the offer and assumed that my frames would be ordered, shipped to the lab and then be ready for pickup within another 7-10 business days at the earliest.

To my dismay I returned to the store after the 7-10 days with the expectation that the new glasses would be ready and available for pickup. On this occasion the Manager informed me that the Regional Manager had yet to order the frames and that they could not give me an estimated date on when my new glasses would be available.

During the course of several follow up calls I have continually asked to be contacted directly by the Regional Manager in an effort to get a clear answer on when the frames would be ordered and available. The Store Manager shared that company policy did not allow them to give out the Regional Manager’s contact information and that she would again pass along my information to her manager in an effort to quickly resolve the matter. Needless to say I was very frustrated with the lack of customer service and the situation has only deteriorated without resolution. The Store Manager who offered to get the replacement glasses obviously did not know what she was doing, as she kept stating that she is awaiting action by the Regional Manager.

As of this date, I have continually contacted the local manager requesting that the Regional Manager contact me directly, without any action. Additionally, I have requested to be either reimbursed or compensated as they have already billed my insurance. All of this effort has amounted to nothing more than continued delays and continued poor service. At this point the only resolution that would be acceptable by me would be reimbursement for my frames, my eye exam and the satisfaction of taking my business on to a more customer focused competitor. I have been repeatedly told that they still do not have the glasses. "Sorry there is nothing that I can do to help you." My husband and I have been Lenscrafters customers for over several years, but will definitely not be going back.

I ordered glasses from Lenscrafters two weeks ago. On the 16th, they called me to say they thought it would be in the shipment arriving on the 19th. On the 19th, they told me it would arrive the 20th. On the 20th, they told me it would arrive on the 21st. Clearly they have no tracking system that can be relied upon. It did arrive on the 21st - but, they told me, they checked it and the right lens has the wrong prescription. Apparently, instead of checking it at the factory, they ship it, wait for it to finally arrive, and only THEN check it to see if they got it right!

So, I asked, when will I get my glasses? The associate told me she doesn't know. She wouldn't even venture a guess, other than to say she would talk to "regional." Lenscrafters is expensive, slow, has no ability to track orders accurately, and apparently has no quality control in place until after they ship you your product. They have a great selection of frames - but that's about the only thing in their favor. Seriously, I will never use them again. If they took a tenth of the money they spend on advertising and used it to improve their service, maybe they'd improve.

All the lenses and glasses are now outsourced and the quality has gone down tremendously while prices have stayed the same or gone up. You also have to fight to get your glasses in 2 to 3 weeks. They don’t even call you when they eventually come in weeks later. So sad to see a business from going from such a great organization to one of the worst in my 45 years on this earth.

On December 20, 2017 I went to LensCrafters. I asked them if they carried Crizal lens. The salesman said they had the same lens but they didn't call theirs Crizal. I ended up buying a pair of glasses for $468.53. I ordered frame Style SF2197 in the gun metal, size 54 18 140, progressive bifocals polycarbonate (clear), blue IQ clear, premium anti-reflective, scratch resistant, uv protection lenses. I also bought their one year eyewear protection plan.

When I picked up the glasses I was in a hurry and assumed that I receive the glasses that I ordered. A few days ago. I received an email request from LensCrafters to rate the frames. I took may glasses off and really looked at them. I found out that I had two different nose pads, a hard plastic on one side and a soft plastic on the other side that had a piece broken off. I think they gave me the right style of frame but the color was brown stone not gun metal. The frame size was different than ordered, and the lenses were all scratch up. Scratch resistant lenses should not have scratched that much in less than two months.

I submitted a claim to LensCrafters using their on line form. I received this response from a person at LensCrafters: "Hello Keith, Thank you for contacting LensCrafters customer care. My apologies that you are not happy with your purchase. As you are outside of the 30 day satisfaction guarantee at this time we are unable to return the glasses. You are welcome to use your Extended Protection Plan to get a new frames if the store location has deemed that they are not defective. You are welcome to speak to the store location to make sure that your order contained all the coating that you asked to be put on them when the order was placed. If you need to reach us for further assistance, please don't hesitate to reply back to this email or call us at 1-877-753-6727, option 7."

I responded that I didn't receive the glasses I had ordered and wanted my money back, because I no longer had any trust that Lenscrafters could provide me the correct glasses. I am waiting to hear their response.

On 5/26/17 my husband and I purchased one frame and had lens replaced in 3 sets of frames we brought to the store. All frames brought had been purchased at Lenscrafters in past years. We spent $1562.18 and received 3 of the 4 items. The frames had to have their lenses done offsite. We subsequently had to go back twice to get those frames fixed and replaced.

At no time during the purchase were we offered a protection plan even though we spent considerable dollars at this store in Annapolis Mall. Yesterday I stopped at the store and asked them to look at and repair a scratch on my right lens. I was told I did not have the protection plan which costs $30 and so would have to have lens replaced. I was then told I would have to have both replaced as they aren't sold separately and it would cost me an additional $400 to have them fixed. I find this ridiculous.

I wish I had had the sense to check the Consumer Affairs site prior to spending my hard earned dollars at this business. Clearly other consumers have been oversold with Premium charges (a line item on my receipt that says Premium AR S43) which negates a good amount of my insurance savings on each purchase. We have been purchasing glasses from Lenscrafters for over 30 years and have never had to pay to have lens replaced for a scratch. We will be taking any future business elsewhere. In this day and age there are many more choices and better prices and service. Wake up Lenscrafters and take care of your long term customers. Also, train your employees to be sure to offer the Protection Plan and to try and work with unhappy customers.

I’ve been a customer of LENSCRAFTERS for more than two decades now. I’ve NEVER had a serious issue with this company, until now. Perhaps that’s because I was always a “paying customer!” On January 15, 2018, I purchased a pair of prescription eyeglasses which were valued at over $800 dollars. Fortunately, I have EyeMed insurance that took the bill down to $617.64, receipt number **, from Lenscrafters store number 1641, in Port Richey, FL 34668-4632, 727-842-3733. I asked the salesperson, **, if I could pay half when ordering and the other half upon delivery of these exorbitantly high priced pair of glasses. ** told me no. She said that due to the high costs involved, Lenscrafters, will not take any risk as they have to “send off” to have them made. So, I reluctantly agreed to pay the full amount due.

During the following week, I received a text message on the “wrong” cellphone! She couldn’t even get that straight. I keep the other phone as a spare in case of emergency, thus by chance, saw the aforementioned text. They (Lenscrafters) were informing me my eyeglasses were ready for pick up. I got this new pair of eyewear and noticed they weren’t as clear as my old pair. I chalked it up to perhaps I just wasn’t used to their way of cutting progressive lenses, thus leaving in an attempt to use them.

After over a week, I decided I wasn’t happy with them, and elected to return the glasses in accordance with their “30 Day Happiness Guarantee” as noted on my receipt. Keep in mind, **, never explained this policy to me. I had to be the “adult in the room,” and educate myself on this supposed Happiness Guarantee Policy. I contacted a gentleman, who happened to be a former Lenscrafters store manager to verify the policy and the FACT I need not supply Lenscrafters, their management nor associates of my “reasoning” for returning the glasses.

On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, I went to this Lenscrafters store to obtain a refund for my purchase I was NOT HAPPY WITH! Just my luck, **, the salesperson who sold me these overpriced spectacles, was the “acting store manager.” She immediately assumed a very obstinate attitude. She demanded to know WHY I wished to return them. I told her I didn’t need to provide her with any information, other than the FACT I wasn’t “Happy” with my purchase, and wished to take advantage of the advertised Lenscrafters 30 Day Happiness Guarantee Policy.

This really enraged her. She sighed so loud, everyone in the store took notice. She then raised her voice in disdain. ** said, “what’s your phone number,” to which I responded with “why,” because I’ve told her and her associates my correct one three times now; however, they can’t even correct this minor issue. Further annoyed, she asked for my name. Well I found this concerning as I was just in this very store the day before, getting fitted for contact lenses.

Upon leaving, she address me as Mr. **, inquiring if I preferred to take advantage of my multi pair frame discount, and perhaps I’d be interested in buying a pair of regular sunglasses. So, I “played along.” I gave her my personal information, and she looked it up. She wouldn’t even afford me the courtesy of looking me in the eye when addressing me. This was quite juvenile and disrespectful on her part. Finally, she realized I was on firm ground concerning my desire to return the glasses within the thirty day time period which is a misnomer in and of itself. One’s 30 Day Happiness Guarantee starts running from the date of purchase, not the day of delivery!

**, finally reached the need to desist with her desire to thwart me. However, she did take satisfaction in informing me that she did not have the $617.74 cash, which was the method I employed to pay for these substandard goggles, to refund me. She told me that it would take 7-10 business days to have my funds returned, via corporate check. This was unacceptable to me. I asked her to show me where it is written in the store, on my receipt or in any other reasonable place, just where it informs customers of this need to wait two weeks to receive monies back. ** had no viable retort to my question, other than to say it was “company policy.”

I continued to query her as to how in the world the public at large is expected to know Lenscrafters “corporate policy!” Now she was really upset, and “called for back-up.” Several other Lenscrafters employees stopped by the desk, and simply stood there. None of them attempted any resolution to the problem, they simply tried to intimidate me. This was absurd. I was never vulnerable to anyone in my 30 year law enforcement career, nor as a veteran of our nation’s military. Therefore, Lenscrafters employees were laughable in my opinion. They merely banded together like sheep being led to the abattoir.

Finally I demand to speak with a “corporate manager” since they had no manager on duty. **, “snapped up the phone,” and called Lenscrafters corporate offices. She lied, telling me her “corporate manager” reaffirmed her response to me that the only resolution was to accept this corporate check as re-payment. Then, some blonde haired salesperson interjected some smartass remark thinking I couldn’t hear her. I informed her, in short order, she wasn’t involved in this debate, thus the need to quiet herself. This got her attention as well as the male employee, **, who told ** to “call mall security!” I asked why this was, and I directed my question to **, who now felt emboldened by ** and told me she would no longer deal with me because of “my attitude!”

I told all three I wasn’t afraid to confront mall security on their Segway machines. However, since no one was willing to assist me, I elected to leave the store. Unfortunately, this blonde salesperson couldn’t let me leave peacefully. She waited OUTSIDE the Lenscrafters proper, in the common mall walkway, and continued to further verbally badger me. I told her what she could do with her sentiments, and continued to exit the mall as she shouted profanity laced remarks towards me, a true crimes of Disorderly Conduct, as described in Florida State Statute 877.03.

When I returned home, I contacted Lenscrafters corporate offices to register my complaint with a manager. I was told on two calls, that there was not one (1) manager available. I was told by “Seth” that they were all in a “meeting” therefore unavailable to talk with customers. Seth did state that he’d be sure to pass on my complaint once a manager became available. He went on to say that the office remained open until 9:00 P.M. EST. He assured me a manager would indeed return my call.

I waited until after 9:00 A.M. the following day, February 1, 2018. I had yet to receive a return phone call from Lenscrafters corporate offices. So I had to for the third time, call Lenscrafters corporate. This time, I spoke with “Marie” who informed me there was no manager available to help me. I found this to be getting to the point of deliberate contempt on part of Lenscrafters corporate to circumvent their obligatory duty to properly address customer concerns. Marie said that typically, it takes 24-48 hours to get a managerial antiphonal to customer concerns and or messages left for them. I catechized Marie, asking how ** was able to speak directly with a corporate manager while involved with me; however, as a simple customer, I couldn’t speak with one. Marie looked at my file, then made me aware that ** NEVER TALKED TO A MANAGER AS SHE REPORTED TO ME SHE DID! ** only spoke with an “associate” similar to Marie and Seth!

This whole calamity simply didn’t need to be. Had Lenscrafters store number 1641 had a competent and confident manager on duty as opposed to sales staff, who are feckless at problem resolution, this probably would of been resolved amicably. However, I was trained to match tit for tat others aggressive actions towards me, especially, when I’m outnumbered some 4 to 1. I’ll continue to wait the 48 hours for a return phone call, which I still consider to be reprehensible, however, I’m powerless to change it. Rest assured I won’t “go away” as many choose to do. In fact it appears to be Lenscrafters policy to treat twenty year customers as they’ve now treated me. In fact, that’s precisely why my friend resigned his position with Lenscrafters in favor of acceptance of a managerial position at another optical store.

I had even purchased a pair of sunglasses from Lenscrafters around the same time, treated them the same, and the sunglasses have not had this issue (at least not yet).

Routine Eye Appointment for Lenscrafters - I phoned and made an appointment, giving my insurance information. I received a call from Lenscrafters that my insurance had the wrong birth date on file. I said "There are lots of insurance companies now and it is very confusing. You must have the wrong number." She said that could NOT be the case. (Really?) I phoned my insurance company and got her the right number and phoned her back. She did not thank me or ask me to hold while she checked it, she just told me to hang on so I told her "No. Call me if you have a problem" and I hung up. I was called to confirm the appointment and I confirmed and then she hung up without even saying goodbye. I called back and cancelled the appointment because that woman is a representative of that Company and I don't like how I was treated. Customer service and professionalism improvement needed.

Eyeglasses - I was in Tucson Arizona had appointment at Lenscrafters across the street from the Tucson Mall and when I got back to Mammoth California where I live and went to work was looking at the computer and as I sit on the chair working on the computer I cannot see very clear. I have to get up inches away from the computer screen and then I can see clear. So I called LensCrafters. The girl says said I would have to come back which I can’t. I’m too far away and I asked if I could go to the LensCrafters in Carson City which is close to me she said they’re not affiliated with them and there’s nothing she could do. So I’m out $400. So I have to start over again. I’ve always gone to Lenscrafters and I did like them but I’ll never go back.

Great people but No Satisfaction... I have been to the store so many times trying to get the right millimeters for my bifocals and each time I'm there I mention the fact that these glasses are too heavy. I'm given the same answer, that weight has to do with strength of prescription. To which I reply "It's the same as the glasses I'm replacing," but they have no answer. I'm almost happy finally with the mm's of the bifocal but I still Can't Wear these. They're So Heavy. It's as though they're glass rather than bicarbonate. I got Versace frames, but canNOT wear these. I'm so embarrassed for the people working at the store to keep going back, but I PAID for these, and I canNot wear them. What should I do!?

Now the AR coating is peeling. Beware of crafty lenscrafting at Lenscrafters. Never a customer again.

I purchased new glasses on 1/3/2017. I noticed that they fog up every night for no explained reason. I called back in late January and they said to try cleaning with a stronger cleaner, which I did several times. No change. I called back in late February and they told me to bring them back. I live 70 miles away in the mountains, so the earliest I could get there was April 5. I talked to the store manager and she told me that I was beyond the 30-day limit and therefore, she could not help me. I told her about the phone calls to her staff and she said that since she had no record of it, she could not help me.

I showed her my pair of glasses that I had replaced (which do not fog). She told me that they had "premium" high-quality lenses and the glasses I purchased from LensCrafters were only of medium grade quality. I regularly purchase my glasses from Costco for approximately half what I paid at LensCrafters ($556.69). I was told that I was a premium customer and was not told that the lenses were only medium quality. I sent an email to the company in April and they said they'd get back to me within 24 hours. They never responded. I sent another email in October and they never responded.

Well I am glad to see my experience is not isolated. I was charged a large sum of money and made what I thought was a sound investment in my first ever pair of prescription glasses. Doesn't matter if you have insurance or not, always works out to be the same price paid. There was a clear defect in the left lens that started to appear after about a week. Had it replaced after a week to ten days of being without my NEW glasses. As others have mentioned, I PAMPER these things and after just over a year my so-called "scratch resistant" lenses are scratched and the lenses are becoming cloudy to the point of not even cleanable. I don't know where they are sending these things to be made but the quality of the lenses and coatings is deplorable. If I am spending the equivalent price of a 4K TV for an investment, I would expect some quality in return. Sorry LC, you had one chance to win a customer and blew repeat business in North Central Connecticut.

I needed new glasses and saw the Lenscrafters television advertisement for their digital exam called Clarifye. The advertisement indicated I wouldn’t need to go through the which is clearer A or B over and over again to the point I can’t see anything anymore – I have always disliked this part of the exam. I thought this was wonderful and made an appointment online.

I received an e-mail confirming my 9:00 a.m. appointment time, with instructions to arrive 10 minutes early to “fill out any necessary paperwork.” Since I needed to go to work after my appointment I decided to go frame shopping before my eye exam. Assuming they would probably open at 8:00 a.m. but would open no later than 8:30 since I was instructed to be there at 8:50 a.m. I showed up at 8:15 a.m. – they don’t open until 9:00 a.m.

When the store opened I filled out my paperwork, then went to the desk and let the young woman know I wanted the Clarifye exam – Clarifye isn’t available in this state! Both the technician and the doctor were very professional and did a good job. At the end of my exam I asked the doctor about my pupillary distance for my prescription. The doctor told me the ladies out front would do that.

I stopped out front and was told they couldn’t do that unless I was choosing frames since it was digital and the machine took into account the frame I selected. According to this lady the distance between your pupils will change depending on which frame you place in front of them. I looked her in the eye and said, “So, you are flat refusing to give me my pupillary distance to complete my prescription, I have paid $90.00 for an incomplete prescription.” She replied, “Have a nice day.” Had I not been given bad information in an email and mislead by television advertisement I would have ordered 3 pairs of glasses (safety progressive lens, normal progressive lens and computer) from these people. Then they flat refused to give me what I paid for.

As a former employee at the Lenox Mall location in Atlanta, I was extremely disappointed. I walked in Sept. 1, assuming that this location would have a better frame selection (at least they did when I worked there as a lab tech). Too bad, that I wasn't a "secret shopper" because I was totally ignored. I was never greeted or acknowledged when I entered the store. I was so surprised by the lack of customer service on Sept. 1 approx. time was 1p.m. EST (so you can confirm the ** male and female working at the time), that I continued to look at more frames. There were only two customers in the store at the time. Both were being assisted, but no reason to not acknowledge other customers entering the store.

What's even more interesting is the expense acct. that I have via Aetna. It continues to roll over every year, which puts it well over $1000.00. And guess what? Lenscrafters won't see a penny of it, due to these associates at the Lenox Mall location in Atlanta (Buckhead). I will say it again, I use to work there as a Lab Tech when you could see the Lab Techs filling your prescriptions (see through glass enclosure watching the lab techs work). Fired? No Retrained? Yes. These same two associates that ignored me will clocked out and become consumers and want to be acknowledged at their choice of retail and food service outlets. Can't imagine when it's their turn how they would complain about anything.

I went to Lenscrafters in Park City Mall, Lancaster, PA before I had my eyes examined on 8/11/17. I was met immediately by Amanda, who gave me a tray to gather any frames I might be interested in. I found some frames and gave the tray, with my choices, back to her and went in to Dr. Broaddus & Associates for my eye exam. When I came out, the store was packed! I was directed to have a seat at one of the stations, which I did. Amanda and one other girl were the only two employees in the store. Amanda finished taking care of the little girl at the station behind me, then came over to me. She asked if I would mind if she got rid of some of the lines. She then directed the traffic to various locations, stations, and promptly came back to me.

She was so calm and explained that there were only the two of them at the store. She didn't let the vast number of people milling around, waiting for service, to unnerve her. She simply smiled and said "this is nothing". She was absolutely incredible! She took her time with me, checked the difference between what I would pay with a coupon or with my insurance. My glasses were over $1000, but I ended up paying a little over $400, which included the insurance that covered any damages to my glasses. If you're in Lancaster County PA and need glasses, I highly recommend Lenscrafters and super highly recommend Amanda!!! She is an incredible asset to this store!!!

My husband purchased glasses in February 2017. The glasses were over $700 but with our insurance we paid $480. Now 5 mos later the glasses are scratched. My husband is very particular with his glasses. Always stores them in a case and uses only the cleaner/cloth for glasses. This weekend he was grilling and bent over and his glasses fell off his face. The lens got scratched and pitted. We called the store to see about replacing the lens and we were told the best they could do was sell them to us for $350.

I called my insurance company and they said we were sold all the "premium" options in February and that is why the glasses were so expensive. We were never told by the sales person that we were buying premium options nor were we given choices of the other options available. The thing we should've been sold was the $35 warranty not the other hidden things we didn't need or ask for. And the premium polycarb lens are worthless! And LensCrafters is dishonest company that takes advantage of their customers.

Highly dishonest!!! Be warned Now!!! They lack integrity. The people that work there are dishonest and rude. We use insurance that has ZERO copay and they tried to get us to pay them. Went to another company and they honored our insurance. Lens Crappers (as I call them) kept our insurance in their system to prevent the other company using our insurance. Had to contact the insurance company and they had to threaten them and removed the block themselves. We also used them last year. I am wondering how much we got ripped off at this point.

The management also lacks a sense of professionalism. He told me to come back when I was walking out the door to go elsewhere. When I asked how he could help me with a solution he simply placed the blame on Costco and said that Costco should not have offered the lens for free through our insurance (This is something I brought up during the conversation). I tried to walk away and he snapped at me and said "OH GOD!" as I was walking away. I felt troubled at this point as he said it in a way that I felt he would have tried to fight me. I walked out and they will never see our family again. It's too bad too because they would have made a lot of money off of our insurance. We have great insurance (Private not government).

I went into Lenscrafters at Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills California on 12/24/16. I bought contact lenses and there was a rebate offer where after registering my purchase online, I would receive a rebate in the mail. I had someone at the store walk me through the process and I sent in a photo of my receipt and all the information needed from the box etc that are needed to receive the rebate. The rebate never arrived and I called and emailed to complain and no one ever got back to me.

I recently went in and bought new glasses and I informed the store manager of what happened and she informed me that she would look into it. I am going into the store to pick up my eyeglasses tomorrow (12/22/17) and so far I have heard nothing back. The manager informed me that it's not Lenscrafters... it's Bausch + Lomb's company; however, what all businesses must understand is that if your corporation decides to work with an affiliate, and you are offering a rebate in your store, then you cannot separate yourself from them if they have poor service. Whatever they do or say is a reflection on your store. Not I need someone to look into this and so far it doesn't feel like I am any closer to receiving my rebate.

UPDATE ON 09/06/2017: Territory manager Darin ** from Thousand Oaks was finally reached about the rebate card I never received from Bausch and Lomb from their partnership with Lenscrafters. I had never received a rebate that I should have and no one responds when you inquire about these things. Darin finally did but not until after I wrote a social media review and he said the reason was that he was on vacation.

Darin said he would expedite my order which usually takes 6-8 weeks. Well... it was not expedited but I finally received the card but it did take another 8 weeks. Darin promised I would receive some complimentary contact lenses for my troubles but once again, I did not receive what was promised. I have to call him and email him and I finally reached him and he again said he was on vacation but he would look into it when he got back. It has been a few weeks and I again cannot reach him and therefore there is no update on my lenses.

The only way I know of to get attention to my complaints are to write a social media post because that is the only thing that worked last time. I feel sorry for all of the people I see had problems here on this page. Lenscrafters does not understand that if they partner with another company, LENSCRAFTERS is just as responsible for the resolution of customer complaints as Bausch and Lomb. I expect a call and my contact lenses.

I purchased nearly 800 dollars worth of prescription eyeglasses two years ago. I had added special anti reflective glare coating for I believe was an additional $75.

Three months later the glare coating was showing scratching and making my glasses unusable. I took them in and the store claimed I had been abusing my glasses... So not true. I kept them in their case and used the special cleaning cloth. The store claimed they could not remove the film and I would need to spend another $200 for new lenses. This if less than three months. Needless to say I went elsewhere.

Last month two years later. I took the same frames into Lenscrafters to replace the lenses for a new prescription. I shouldn't have been surprised, they claimed they no longer had the template for a lens for one frame (Rayban) and that the half frame lens on the other couldn't be replaced on the other because the optician claimed there was some damage to the device that holds the lens in. I couldn't see anything wrong. So the proposal was not only replace the lenses for $200+ but another $400 for new frames. Needless to say again I walked away and I stated that Lenscrafters policies for glasses are at best unethical and perhaps even illegal. Beware of these guys robbing you blind.

The good news. I found online a place to mail my glasses into. They replace the lenses in the same frames that Lenscrafters wouldn't swap out the new prescriptions. It took 5 business days to get my glasses back in the mail and I saved more than $400. Don't waste your money on Lenscrafters crooks. Go to Replacement Lens Express.

On one occasion they put the wrong prescription in the computer, the glasses were out of focus, they said, "We'll give you 50% off on your next pair." They refused to fix their error. On another occasion the lenses did not fit the frame, they would fall out and they said, "It's the way these glasses are made". Yet, I ordered the same pair from someone else, and the lenses were cut right and fit. The LensCrafters store on Avenue of the Americas AKA 6th Avenue is RipOff City USA - STAY AWAY. But when I began calling to check on progress and associates went from at least trying to check on my purchase to not knowing how to look them up and telling me to call back later, I was slightly annoyed. When the manager told me sign up for texts I had already requested at my appointment and I had yet to receive a single text about the status, OK, a bit more annoyed.

My tipping point was when I contacted the national organization and not the local business and the representative told me she could call the store, I mentioned I had done all that many times and I just wanted an accurate timeline if she could get in touch with a warehouse, manufacturer, someone besides the store. She denied the request and had me find her contact info on the store in question because she was unaware they had moved... Needless to say, I just want my glasses and it is going on 3.5 weeks from my appointment when they said they would be ready in 1. If they had given me an honest estimate the 1st or 2nd time I would have been satisfied. But by the 5th person I talked to, including managers and national not just local or regional employees... I went to them just to see what could be done. After looking at them, the manager said to send them off to the company and they would repair them. They look like new. This isn't the first time they have done this. They also replaced my son's glasses years ago. A friend broke them. It was not any fault of the glasses. However, because they advertised that this type frame would not break even if bent, they replaced them at no charge. I have had very good experiences with LensCrafters in SC.
