Wheaton, IL store has a very racist staff when it comes to ** consumers. I wouldn’t recommend this location at all. It’s sad to be treated unfairly because of your race even when you have the best insurance. No one should have to be subject to this treatment regardless of race. It’s not right and it’s not fair. On October 16, I went to my eye Dr and gave me a new eye prescription, so, bought a pair of glasses at Lenscrafters 0962, located at 25 Peel Centre Drive #2, Brampton, On L6T3R5. I wore them when I was going back home, I noticed I saw double, so, I went the following day to the store and explained to the Licensed Optician the problem. The Optician asked me to go to the Dr and schedule an appointment to review the prescription. I got my appointment for Oct.22.18, and Dr reviewed my prescription and gave me the same prescription as the measurement done on October 16. The Eye Dr told me that probably the centre of the lenses was not aligned to my pupil.

I took the new prescription to the Optician and explained what the Dr said about the pupil not being aligned to the lenses. The optician started taking measurements of the lenses and told me that what she was going to do was to lower the area of the glass that is to see far away (my glasses are transition) and advised me to wear them in order to get used to the new prescription. I left the glasses and came back the same day in the afternoon and when I wore them on I saw no difference and I left because I was so angry that I did not wanted to start screaming like a crazy person.

I wore them for a few day and saw no adjustment of my vision to the new glasses. On the contrary they were causing me nausea and headaches. Lenscrafters sent me an E-Mail to evaluate them, so I did; I complained and explained the same thing I am writing now. I got a phone call from the store and I was asked to go on Nov.01.18, and the Store Manager was going to take care of me. I went on Nov. 01, and the manager started adjusting the legs of the glasses because the glasses were sitting in an angle over my face and It could cause the problem but there was no difference. So, he brought a lenses and overimposed on the glasses and I saw better.

The manager asked me to leave the glasses, so he can talk and ask the Eye Dr on Nov.05.18 (the day the Dr will be in the office) for permission to change the prescription. Today November 8, 2018 I called to find out about my glasses (It always take only two hours to get my new glasses) however, I was told that my glasses were not ready and started with the excuse that the type of lenses were not in stock that they probably will be on Monday (Nov. 12) (the day that the Eye Dr. will be in, what a coincidence). That means that the Manager did no talked to the Dr on Monday Nov. 05 as he was supposed to do; and to be honest I do not believe him because his voice was stuttering. He had no idea what to say. I paid a lot of money and not only that, I paid for the Eyewear Protection Plan. I regret buying at Lenscrafters since I feel I am treated like an idiot. Lenscrafters should look into that kind of problem since it gives a bad name to the brand.

Have gotten many pairs of glasses from the Greenwood Park Mall location in the past. Went there this time, picked my glasses and the technician could not get them adjusted properly despite many tries and had to get someone else, that should have been my red flag to get out of there, but unfortunately I didn’t. Went to check out and pay. Used my WageWorks flex spending card. Tech said it wouldn’t go through. I knew amount available as I had just checked my balance. Called store manager who couldn’t help. She took my information and said she would call me Monday and get them ordered. No call Monday so late afternoon I called them. Gave my card info and she said it was declined again and she couldn’t help me. I said I’ll purchase elsewhere.

Went to another store and was told not eligible per my vision plan because Lenscrafters filled scoot 2 days prior. Had to call them to get it released. Chose glasses and went to pay. Card declined. Called WageWorks and was told Lenscrafters had two holds on my card for the amount of my glasses, so both times my card was run it went through!!! Now not enough funds on the card remaining for this card to pay for glasses. Called Lenscrafters to release these holds with no success. Still waiting even after a call to corporate office. I will never step foot in Lenscrafters again!!

I’m a long time customer, so I didn’t realize when I visited the store last week that they no longer offer any type of expedited service for glasses. I wasn’t told that it’ll take 2 weeks to receive my new glasses until I had already paid. Normally not an issue, but my current pair of glasses are damaged and now I’m stuck. If I had known, I would have researched my options and gone a different route that didn’t leave me blind. Now I know, and I won’t be returning next year.

I have been a loyal Lenscrafters customer for some time and have purchased numerous sets of eyeglasses and sunglasses from this company. I recently went to the Nashua NH store located in the Pheasant Lane Mall to have (I thought) new lenses installed in two pairs of glasses and one pair of sunglasses. These were upper end Brooks Brothers and Ray-Ban frames that have been meticulously maintained during the last two years. The technician that was waiting on me even commented on the fact that the frames were some of the he had ever seen. However, once he went and spoke to the lab technician, he then informed me that there was nothing he could do for me and that I had to purchase three (3) new sets of glasses. I obviously got upset at this turn of events and told both the technician and the alleged store manager that they should not be selling products that they would not stand behind.

I then contacted Lenscrafters Customer Service. This was a total waste of time as I waited over a week for a response, and got the same exact response that there was nothing they could do for me. This company is obviously only in the business of constantly selling you new frames, lenses and any other after sell products they can get you to buy. They are about two steps below used car dealers. I will never deal with Lenscrafters again. I will find a reputable local dealer who is actually interested in customers and their eye care, not fast profits.

I purchased a pair of prescription eyeglasses and a 1 year warranty in 2015. Recently, I noticed that the bottom of both lens became "foggy" or as if glue was smeared on the bottoms. The manager acknowledged that she had never seen anything like this but refused to do anything about the defective lens. Her claim--this is a first. My position--"Then you should be able to address this matter with some adjustment," which she failed to do. Buyer beware.

The lenses didn't fit the frame correctly the third time. Drove 6 hours round trip to return them and get a refund. So disappointed with Lenscrafters. Will never return. The glasses were wrong; a new eye exam and new eyeglasses... still wrong. I got a refund. That should be the end of it, right? No. Looking over my paperwork to file it away, I see that the optometrist department used someone else's name and insurance. That was not my name and I do not have Humana insurance. The receipt from the eyeglass department had the same wrong name. Let me just say... DO NOT TRUST LENSCRAFTERS. (Sorry for yelling but this experience made me rather angry.) I am not sure if I should notify Humana about this error. Still thinking about it. Thanks for reading my review.

After I surgery I brought my prescription from my surgeon to LensCrafters for a pair of multifocal glasses. I also purchased prescription sunglasses at that time. $941. It took three weeks for the lenses come in. I wore them for a week realize the sunglasses were very bad. Brought them back and they had to remake them. Since I was new to progressive lenses I was told that I needed to wear them for a while and get used to them. I continued to wear them until my next appointment with the eye surgeon.

My vision was poor and she checked the prescription noting that the glasses were not what she had prescribed. I return to LensCrafters spoke with, manager named Guy. He said he would have to speak to the regional supervisor since the warranty was only for 30 days. I reminded him that it was impossible to use the glasses and they had to be remade 30 days had come and gone. I was advised that Guy would get in touch with the regional supervisor and contact me. I have still not heard back from Guy or anyone else at LensCrafters. Run from this company.

So I had to wait a week and then they screwed up the lenses. Had to wait another week. Both prescriptions ARE WRONG! No one knows what to do there. The lab will only do a few lenses and a few frames. The junior mints working there are clueless and incompetent. I am now waiting for them to call me back so I can get my old lenses put back in and I have to go back across town and try to get a refund. That will be probably be a joke too. Very poor quality. First time I received my glasses: there was a defect in the lens and they kept insisting "my eyes will adjust". They even asked me to have my prescription re-checked and the optometrist could immediately see that the lens was defective. Then they said they will remake it and I waited a week for them to give me glasses that had peeling antireflective coating.

The third time remaking them the frame was messed up and they couldn't fix it. The fourth time they remade them: the lens is obviously very low quality as it has obvious peripheral distortion. This pair of glasses cost about 1000 dollars and is the high index, anti-reflective anti-glare lens. Very horrible service at the Kings Automall location in Cincinnati Ohio. Staff members were very rude. Customer service of lens crafters doesnt care at all and never responded to two complaints that I sent it. I will never shop at Lenscrafters again.

It's been months of getting a prescription correct - today I was asked who was helping me last time, I described her and they said - oh well she's on vacation so we can't help you!! I had to go home and get my last pair of glasses - they swore they could not figure out the problem without them.

By the time I returned - with my glasses they then asked if I had my prescription! I said no you all assured me you had that here. I could have gotten it when I went all the way home to get my fine glasses had you told me. They then said they had called the gal who was on vacation and somehow figured it out. Their condescending attitude like I was doing something wrong was even more infuriating then their lame "ciphering" of what had gone wrong... These people are not your eye care professionals! I am writing this review as I have not had a good experience with Lenscrafters, and this is my first experience with this company. I purchased glasses there a few months back and constantly had trouble with them fitting correctly. I went in multiple times to have them fitted, but when I tried wearing them to work they would either be too loose and slide down my face or they were too tight, giving me a headache. I was told that perhaps the frame was too large, and since I am prone to migraines I should pick a smaller frame like my current frame and also go with the more expensive, lightweight lenses as my prescription is high. I was outside the 30 day window to return the glasses as I wanted to do and felt I had no choice but to try another frame. I live over an hour away and am a nurse working night shift, and trying to get to the store was difficult.

I went back to reorder another frame I had picked out, but it was gone (it was supposed to be set aside for me) and had to choose a different frame I did not like but had no option. I ordered the other lenses as well. When these glasses came I had the same issue. They did not fit right, kept sliding down my face. I could not wear them. I went to different Lenscrafters stores even out of the state of AL to see if anyone could get them to fit right. No one could, and no one could help. I went back to the Mobile store and was told that they could possibly remake the glasses with the other frame I had wanted since it was close to my old frame. I had offered to even let them use my old frame for the lenses, but they could not guarantee with how old and worn they were that they would not be damaged in the process, and then I would have no glasses.

I was told to call back in a couple of days to see if the manager would approve the remake. I called back, and the manager at first told me she had no idea what I was talking about. Then she remembered and told me the girl I had been working with called and left me a voicemail days ago to which I replied I never even received a voicemail or call. I felt at this point the manager did not want to deal with my issue anymore and told me if I wanted, I could go to the Lenscrafters in Foley which would be closer to me, and they would remake my glasses for me. The manager told me she would call right away and let them know I would be coming in and to remake the glasses.

About three weeks later I was able to get over to the Foley store upon which the manager there told me she had no idea what I was talking about and no phone call from the Mobile store manager had come in. Nothing was listed in my file, and the Mobile manager was not in the store the day I went to the Foley store, and therefore I made another wasted trip. I was given the phone number for Customer Service and the option to pick and tried calling twice but could not get through. I called again, choosing the option I was told to pick, explained my whole story in detail to the lady and then was told at the end that she could not help me as she was warranty information only and not connected to Lenscrafters.

I called back and finally got in touch with a customer service representative and after giving my complete, detailed story, was told again he could not help me but would send me a link to the website where I would need to write out in detail my experience and within two business days should get a response. I asked why a customer service representative could not help take the report and help with this issue, and I was told that management wanted it this way so the customer was telling the story in his/her own words, and the story would not be twisted or changed by customer service.

I am very dissatisfied with the customer service I have received at the Mobile store and on the phone. I have never in my life encountered a business that has treated me this way and given me the run around I feel. I have a new pair of glasses I cannot even wear with no option of getting this issue resolved. I have never paid as much for a pair of glasses as I have for these, and I have never been so dissatisfied with a pair of glasses as I am with this pair. I only hope this issue gets resolved and that no one else encounters the same problems and frustrations I am in trying to get this situation resolved.

I went to a Lenscrafters in Colorado Springs on Saturday. To start, we had the first appointment of the day. Walking in as they unlocked the doors and somehow still waited 40 minutes to be seen. The tech that does the initial screening was talking to me asking last time I had contacts, and I told her I had been a bit short on cash so the last 6 month supply I got was a year and a half ago and I made it last. (By make it last I meant I wore a pair for a month then went a while with glasses only, then wear a pack for a month and even with that it was a few days in a few out.) But at no point did she ask or clarify what I meant.

Then when I get to the Dr. he seemed very clinical and cold, but I didn't think too much into it yet. He started to ask questions about my vision, to which I wasn't sure how to answer and he started getting rude and arrogant. It was almost as if he was bothered by the fact I was there and didn't understand the questions. Then he asked about my contact usage to which I told him I don't wear them more than a few days in a row at a time as my eyes get irritated and itchy. He was quick to rebuttal with my having made a 6 month supply last a year and a half. I kind of smiled as I realized when he had thought, so I began to explain what I meant and he cut me off and began talking to me as if I was a small child being scolded.

He continued on telling me he would not issue me contacts as I was considered non compliant. Again I started to try and explain what I had meant and that this was solely due to funding at the time. He came back with "if cost is an issue then contacts might not be the option for you". I was a little stunned and in shock. First of all he wasn't even listening to me rather making assumptions based off half facts and judging me. Secondly it's not his decision as to if I can afford glasses or contacts. He was so rude and arrogant and was only getting worse as the appointment went on. Then he proceeded to tell me I could go down the street to get contacts if he decides he refuses to issue them to me. Again, just in pure shock.

We proceed with the appointment and he checks my eyes and tells me he is surprised they are healthy with my contact abuse. What?!?! Then he starts looking for things to scold me on. He actually got a Q-tip to push my eyelid almost inside out... I have never had this done... ever. And he comes out with he can see the inflammation. Okay so at this point I'm really getting annoyed so I told him that was very interesting as I haven't worn contacts in months. He responded with, "That's just how bad it is." (I have terrible allergies and am allergic to my mom's cat that was at my house the day prior, but sure it just had to have been contacts from months prior).

To finalize the appointment he informs me he is putting in my file I am non compliant and that he would give me a trial run of 2 week contacts and he would decide if he would ALLOW me to have contacts. And 2 week trials... yeah those cost me 84.00. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I have always went to America's Best, however this Lenscrafters was closer to my house so I figured myself and my mother would give it a try. I made a huge mistake and will never go back to a Lenscrafters again. I spent almost 300 after insurance to be treated like trash while being told what I may or may not be allowed to do. This man made quick judgment and didn't even listen to me when I tried to explain myself and then just proceeded to make the entire appointment just horrible!

He treated my mother with similar rudeness and made quick judgments on her as well, while asking things that was none of his business. He was questioning her as to why had it been so long since she last had contacts, and why she all of a sudden wanted them now, and why she was getting clear instead of green. And honestly it's not even the questions that was the problem, it was the condescending tone that he was asking. So clearly when I go back for my "trial" I plan to go back to the eye doctors that treat their clients as real adult people, not gum under their shoe begging for a crumb. I just can't begin to express how horrible this man made both myself and my mother feel.

When they finally came in the technician fussed for about one half hour in an attempt to bring the new to the same level of clarity as the old. I was finally advised to wear them for a week or so and "let my eyes adjust". I had thought that was the role of the lenses, but we'll see. Meanwhile my wife discovered that the distance lenses had been put in her reading glasses frame in error. So nearly a month after meeting these nice people we are still waiting to say goodbye to them. And I do mean goodbye. Summary: overpriced, underproductive.

The salesperson ** was average at best and would talk more than listen to my input. Nevertheless I selected my frames paid for the frame and glasses and was told that being this required special lenses there would be 7 workday turnaround time. On or about June 18, 2018 I received a phone call from your store and went to pick up my glasses, and to my surprise the lenses were not suitable and did not correct my vision and the Store Manager was very Professional and immediately walked over to the Doctor's office and they worked it out on what I really needed and asked her to make sure the order is correct because I do not wish to make this lengthy trip to your store again, because it appears to me that the factory never checked it against the prescription, and apparently, instead of checking it at the factory, they shipped it, then and only THEN checking it to see if they got it right!

A week and a half passed, and not hearing from the store I called, and it was answered by a Ms. ** and I asked for the Manager and she informed me that she was the Manager on Duty and the store manager was out, so she looked up my order and told me it would take three weeks and asked her to have the Store Manager call me which never occurred. So today July 22nd, 2018 not having heard anything I decided to call to see where my paid for glasses where.

I called the store and guess who answered? ** who again informed me that I asked to speak to the store Manager and the initial response I got was again she is not in and ** did not have a date my glasses would be available, so I asked her to have the Store Manager call me the next day, Monday 7/2/018 because if I did not hear from the Store Manager by then, I would be forced to call Lenscrafter Corporate Offices and she stated in the most rude and with an indifferent tone stated the Manager would also be off Monday.

In summary it’s been 46 Calendar days, and no one can tell me when I will receive my paid for merchandise and all I ever end up is having the displeasure of having to deal with a totally RUDE Employee. In summary it's sad to see a business have such disrespectful employees and service and FYI you have most certainly lost my business!!!

The man who helped me at the Lenscrafters in Macy’s at Coddingtown Mall in Santa Rosa basically accused me of stealing because they couldn’t find my mother's profile on their computer. I am so upset at the bold faced LIE I received in the 6th Ave store in NYC last week. My husband & I took my daughter on Tuesday (July 10). We had lovely salesperson. We picked out frames and explained that our daughter was going to summer camp and needed new glasses. After fitting our daughter, reviewing the prescription, etc., we were ready to pay. We told our salesperson that she left for camp on July 15 so we would need the glasses the day before. The salesperson hesitated and said the type of lens she required required longer to make. We were disappointed, but appreciated the information.

As we were ready to leave w/o placing an order, the manager said we could in fact receive the glasses before our daughter’s camp. She said the glasses would come on Friday (July 13). If there were adjustments to be made, we could do it the next day. SHE volunteered this information. SHE convinced us to purchase the glasses as the timing would work out. She said she would call on Friday when they arrived. Friday came & went. When my husband called the store the next day, he was told our order couldn’t possibly come until the following week.

The assistant manager called me yesterday (July 18) to tell me the glasses were ready for pick up. I told her to give me a full refund, which she did. My daughter left for camp without a spare of glasses. We wasted our time in the store. We also wasted a week of waiting for the glasses when we could have gone to somewhere else. We routinely bought our families’ glasses from Lenscrafters. But we will not go back now. The store manager’s behaviour, just to get a sale, is rude and unethical.

At this very moment I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication or follow up from the local office Located in West Des Moines Iowa that I went to for my exam. I went ahead and ordered my contacts through the store thinking that it might be safer and faster since they have the means of tracking their own orders. I placed my order with them on 07/09/2018, it is now 07/17/2018. I had to make a call to them yesterday only to be told that and I quote "Oh ya we forgot to tell you, your order is on back order due to your prescription." So after waiting over a week that was the initial response I got. Here is the problem with that, I kinda need them to see and to drive!!! A no brainer right? So I am still waiting for my order to arrive and have been told yet once again that they should arrive by 8:00PM. I will not ever go back to a Lenscrafters. I was very excited when I first purchased my glasses at Lenscrafters, I thought I was spending my glasses wisely: I thought I had purchased everything that Lenscrafters offered to ensure my experience would be a good one. First I did pay cash for my glasses, I do wear my glasses 24 /7 because I need to. Yes. Most times I sleep with them on, there is very little space for error where scratching can occur. I was also told that if I use the cloth they gave me at the time of purchase I would be good. After 6 months of using my 800$ glasses it became almost impossible for me to see with them, I went back to my old glasses because Lenscrafters told me that I was responsible for what my glasses have become. I'm A responsible person and my vision is very important to me, Lenscrafters did nothing for me, told me I had six months to wait for a new pair. I would never purchase or recommend Lenscrafters to anyone.

Went in and 3rd time's lenses looked cheap and not like my current specks. 4th time I was upsold to hi def lenses and when I got them they creaked and popped. Went to clean them and the lenses popped out. Took them back. They were cut wrong for my frames. Had enough. Gave them 4 chances to get it right and asked for money back. Lady was a complete **. She said I was past my 30 day refund even though it’s starts when I get new glasses. Even so I was 7 days under their 30 but she was too hot on trying to deny my refund instead of helping me she didn’t look at the calendar.

I was gonna give them one more chance but when she started lying to me about it all and not coping to the reasons why I was back a 4th time I saw what LensCrafters was all about. They could care less about your vision. All they want to do is make their shareholders happy. Business and life isn’t about shareholders you twits! It’s about people and doing a good job in business! Never again. Oh and she had to refund my card $177 like 4 times cause she couldn’t figure out how to do that. Worst medical experience I have ever been a part of. How can a company and its staff not care about my vision and only care about the sale. Oh and they still shorted me by $60 my bank said today. Left eye had 4 prism, right 1. No insurance so couldn't fill script till March. I was so excited about the prospect of seeing everything as one instead of split. Was told of 30 day money back guarantee. Picked up my.glasses and was told that it would take take two weeks for my eyes to get used to prisms. Pretty much couldn't see for 2 weeks but kept waiting to adjust. 2.5 weeks later went back and told them... Lady was very nice and started to adjust prism strength on trial glasses. Still couldn't see. She went back and got the Dr. He came out and was very frustrated and told her to take out prisms completely... They made new pair with no prisms.

I can see better now but was never offered any refund on cost for prisms and I actually would have never purchased glasses knowing that double vision couldn't be fixed. The girls are nice in there but the Dr loves to push these prisms. Heard him sell two different patients prisms. Hope they worked for them. Just be careful and don't get talked into prisms unless you know for sure you need them and more so are able to see out of them. You won't get any refunds and they aren't cheap.

I took my favorite glasses that I purchased some years ago to Lenscrafters, 777 3rd Ave @ 49th St., NYC 10017; 212.527.2363 on May 3rd or 4th, 2018. I spoke with ** about my unique butterfly, cat frames and that they have the wrong prescription in them to which I need changed. I showed him my prescription from my doctor and soon asked how much it would be. He said, oh wow, "well first we have to find out if we can even do them because of its shape". He asked another associate, and his response was "yeah they can do it". ** then said it should take up to about 3 days for me to hear back from them on whether or not they can do it, but that I probably will not hear anything back until it is finished.

I received a vmail message from ** on May 14, 2018 stating that they CRACKED my glasses. I didn't understand and asked what he meant. He said the place in which they send glasses to, broke my glasses (frames). I went directly over there after work approximately 6:00 pm and saw my favorite unique glasses that do not exist ANYWHERE (not even on-line) are cracked on the top of the frame. RUINED. ** apologized and refunded my $345.00, which was the cost of my prescription.

He then asked how much I paid for the frames. I told him it was some years ago and I no longer have the receipt and that they are definitely not under $150.00. He said they will reimburse me, but he doesn't know how much and that his manager will be in the next day at 12:00 and the manager should give me a call around 2:00. I was in the store approximately 2:15. When I told ** (Store Market Manager) the story, he said I can have any glasses in the store for free. I told him that I do not trust Lenscrafters again, want nothing to do with them and I just want to be reimbursed for my broken frames. He said because I have no receipt that there's nothing he can do. I responded, "I spent no less than $200.00 on these frames" (realizing afterwards that it was more than I told **) and "that's how you deal with your customers?" "Why would I want anything to do with Lenscrafters after YOUR outsourcing company broke my glasses?"

As I walked out of the store he said, "have a good day." I came back approximately 8 minutes later while he was on the phone to read his nametag. He took out his business card and handed it to me (while he was on the phone) and said, "here so you have all the information." He was very unsympathetic with a nonchalant attitude. This was some customer service Lenscrafters. I totally underestimated your professionalism. I think now I see why Lenscrafters are closing around NYC. They are HORRIBLE!!!

Being told she needs special lenses - OK - had to wait a week, called, (no text), go in and drop off her glasses - then an hour - no text. Call them again, asking are they ready? Yes, we go in and they were wrong, she couldn't see out of them, we were left to sit and wait for the Dr., another person comes in, no appointment, no insurance and is called in next - we were waiting for close to 2 hours just for the Dr. Re-exam, wait some more, some sales girl, not listening, puts the order in - wait a week, call them - (no text), the lens have been there for 3 days, (then I get a text after my call) bring the frames - wait an hour, go in, they are wrong, the bi-focal were sticking out of the lenses.

They will fix them, wait a week, go in, needs to see another Dr. - wait around, Dr. said they were too strong (this is the 3rd exam since 4/7/18). Under the understanding, they will be ready in an hour, call them, must wait another week - didn't even send her home with her old glasses. It is May 2nd and we must wait another week. I had to ask them to clean them the second time we were there and they were wrong, as they were popping in her old lenses again and handed them to her dirty - eww. Needless to say this manager Kervin has lost my entire family's business and I will tell this story to everyone I know that goes, or plans to go to the Totowa Lenscrafters. My Mother has to sit for another week wearing 3 year old glasses, not able to needlepoint or watch the Yankees. NICE way to treat the elderly Lenscrafters! Whenever I would call all I received were excuses and not 1 apology for waiting over a month for a pair of lenses - their specialty.

Due to an insurance change we were forced to utilize Lenscrafters, and not previous providers so I scheduled eye exams and subsequent glass selection with LensCrafters. My husband required two separate pairs of glasses, one for regular use and the other for computer work. I required progressive. We selected our frames, and ordered... we also had coupons for extras such as tinting, anti reflective glare etc. which were used. A week went by and my husband received notice that one pair of his glasses were ready for pickup. We live 50 miles away so opted to wait for the other 2 pair to come in... 2 days later he received a call that his 2nd pair were in and I received a call that my glasses had come in but the lens were broken in transit and had to go back to be remade.

Another week went by, still no glasses for me so we went on a weekend and picked up my husband's. I was then told that mine were at the UPS facility in town and hadn't been delivered. I asked whether they could be picked up and they said they called but couldn't. LensCrafters promised they would call me the moment they came in. Several more days and still no news so I called again, and my glasses were indeed in so we drove the 50 miles to pick them up.

Now when I ordered my glasses I ordered a special Anti glare lens which the tech and I had a long discussion about but when my glasses came in they came in as transitional ones with no Anti Glare. I called and the person who did the order said he remembered me and specifically recalled I went with transitionals, he offered to remake and to have me pay the added cost but I am done with LensCrafters. Never been jerked around so much before for a pair of glasses and I really wish our insurance covered our previous providers.

Anti-glare coating defective. This problem is very similar to the complaint of Amy of Charleston, WV, Jan 19, 2018. This is not a problem with this specific location as I have read enough other complaints on other websites to know that this is a company wide problem so any potential Lenscrafters customer should be concerned.

In Nov. 2016 Lenscrafters at the Town Center Mall, Boca Raton FL replaced both lenses in my favorite frame, one that is impossible to find a current replacement for. After a few months, a few spots appeared on the front side of both lenses – looked like water spots but would not wash off. This store said I must have splashed some caustic liquids on them dissolving the anti-glare coating - I greatly doubted that. I had not purchased their protection plan as in over 50 years of wearing glasses I had never had an issue.

So they would not help me without that plan - they claimed that the problem with the coating was the fault of the lens manufacturer, Varilux who I contacted -Varilux stated they neither make nor apply that coating. So I brought the issue to the attention of Lenscrafters headquarters who did instruct this store to replace the lenses – great! However the store would not allow me to purchase their protection plan for these new lenses.

After a few months the coating on both of the new lenses wore off to a much greater extent – not just a few small spots but about 25% on one lens and 50% of the other in the center of both lenses - very unsightly. In this case it looked as if it was caused by wiping the lens with a cloth. I was totally honest with the store, admitted that I sometimes used a soft shirt to do this as opposed to the approved soft cloth which they recommend; during this same time period I was wearing other glasses from other companies which I much more frequently cleaned by using a shirt to wipe them. I have used my shirt for cleaning the many pairs of glasses which I have had for many years - not just a few months - without ever having this problem.

Neither the store nor headquarters was willing to do any more than a discount off their regular price to replace them again – when I asked if I could buy the protection plan for the new pair they stated that they no longer sell the protection plan for Varilux lenses, only for their own brand of lenses which are much more expensive. The store could not explain why they will no longer warranty the Varilux lenses. Am I wrong to be suspicious that this is an admission that they have had too many similar claims for these defective lenses?

I went into Lenscrafters near my job, on Court Street in Brooklyn, NY, the day after Christmas. It was the end of the year, and I decided to get an eye exam to utilize my insurance benefits before the year ended. Upon entering, I was immediately helped. I provided my insurance cards, and promptly saw the eye doctor. I had an exam for eyeglasses as well as contact lenses. When done with the exam, the gentleman who took my insurance, was also the associate who assisted me in picking out glasses. Since my prescription had changed, I decided to get 2 pairs of glasses. After sitting down and going through everything, including my insurance benefits, my out of pocket cost was $1287. I thought this was pricey, but thought it was because I paid extra to get my lenses thinned out, as well as insurance on both frames. I tried putting down half the money, but was told it had to be paid upfront, which I did.

After some time passed, I realized my health insurance company sent me a claim for my eye exam, and not my main vision insurance. After calling, I was told my benefits weren't utilized! SMH. So, when I handed the guy both my insurance cards, apparently, he only ran one. Why he would do that and not mention it to me, is beyond me. I called Lenscrafters to see if I could somehow use last year’s benefits, even though we were now in 2018, I was told I could not. I tried putting up a fight and explaining it was their error not mine, but was told there was nothing I could do.

I decided to go back to the store to return both pair of glasses because at this point I was frustrated. I spoke with the manager, who was able to call my insurance company, explain what happened, and get the price adjusted so that I could get partially refunded and pay the amount I should have paid originally. Because of the professional way she handled things, I decided to keep one pair, and only return the second. In total, I was refunded $880 out of $1200, and also $200 from my FSA.

After some time passes, I realize I never saw the credit on my credit card. I did the return on 1/25/18, and called LENSCRAFTERS on 3/5/18. I spoke with the same woman who helped me, and originally she said the credit should have went through, but that she was going to look into it for me. In the meantime, I started an investigation with my cc company. Three days later, on 3/8/18, the LENSCRAFTERS rep left me a vm saying she confirmed that the credit never went through, and I should be seeing it within the next few days.

Talk about bad ordeals! The whole situation has me completely turned off by LENSCRAFTERS. It was ridiculous that the sales rep knew he sought coverage through one of my insurance plans, and did not utilize my main vision plan at all. When he was going through everything with me, he explained what insurance was taking off, so I assumed he was using both. If he wasn't, that should have been mentioned to me immediately. Additionally, when I called back, the rep on the phone told me that didn't even take my main insurance, which is FEP Blue Vision with Blue Cross Blue Shield. However, when I went into the store, to do the return, the manager explained they did take it, and the rep was probably confused. SMH. So, the rep should have gotten clarification before telling a customer something like that!

LENSCRAFTERS has a huge selection of frames, and is accessible because of their many locations. However, in my experience, they need to do better in training their associates. They should not be assuming anything. The only thing that was the saving grace in this situation, was the 30 day money back guarantee, and the fact that the manager was knowledgeable. She was also very polite. But their cons far outweigh their pros. I wasn't even offered an explanation as to why the credit was never issued to my card. You couldn't pay me to go back to LENSCRAFTERS.

On January 13, 2018, I went to the Lenscrafters at the Avenue East Cobb in Marietta Georgia for my annual eye exam. Following my exam I elected to have the new lenses placed in my Chopard (Sku #VCH 097 55 16 0743 1400) frames valued at US $494.95. In placing my order I have been a Lenscrafters customer for several years and simply handed over my frames to the manager that fit my glasses. I was then informed that they should be back from the lab within 7-10 days.

After the 7-10 days had passed, I arrived in the store to pick up my glasses only to be informed that the frames had been broken during shipment to the lab. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and offered to remedy the situation by replacing the frames. Unfortunately they did not carry my frames and then offered to have the Regional Manager purchase them on a company credit card. I should have been suspect when they could not purchase the frames from the local store. However, I proceeded to take them up on the offer and assumed that my frames would be ordered, shipped to the lab and then be ready for pickup within another 7-10 business days at the earliest.

To my dismay I returned to the store after the 7-10 days with the expectation that the new glasses would be ready and available for pickup. On this occasion the Manager informed me that the Regional Manager had yet to order the frames and that they could not give me an estimated date on when my new glasses would be available.

During the course of several follow up calls I have continually asked to be contacted directly by the Regional Manager in an effort to get a clear answer on when the frames would be ordered and available. The Store Manager shared that company policy did not allow them to give out the Regional Manager’s contact information and that she would again pass along my information to her manager in an effort to quickly resolve the matter. Needless to say I was very frustrated with the lack of customer service and the situation has only deteriorated without resolution. The Store Manager who offered to get the replacement glasses obviously did not know what she was doing, as she kept stating that she is awaiting action by the Regional Manager.

As of this date, I have continually contacted the local manager requesting that the Regional Manager contact me directly, without any action. Additionally, I have requested to be either reimbursed or compensated as they have already billed my insurance. All of this effort has amounted to nothing more than continued delays and continued poor service. At this point the only resolution that would be acceptable by me would be reimbursement for my frames, my eye exam and the satisfaction of taking my business on to a more customer focused competitor. I have been repeatedly told that they still do not have the glasses. "Sorry there is nothing that I can do to help you." My husband and I have been Lenscrafters customers for over several years, but will definitely not be going back.

It did arrive on the 21st - but, they told me, they checked it and the right lens has the wrong prescription. Apparently, instead of checking it at the factory, they ship it, wait for it to finally arrive, and only THEN check it to see if they got it right!

So, I asked, when will I get my glasses? The associate told me she doesn't know. She wouldn't even venture a guess, other than to say she would talk to "regional." Lenscrafters is expensive, slow, has no ability to track orders accurately, and apparently has no quality control in place until after they ship you your product. With the new correct new lenses, I can see perfectly sharp short and long vision. Now I realized how bad are my previous sunglasses are (unable to see anything short vision).

Store Manager refused to repair the defective sunglasses stating that I should had complained in the first 30 days. Lenscrafters warranty is only 30 days from purchase and they refused to rectify the poor workmanship after 30 days. Claiming that the customer should had the expertise to identify the problems with the lenses. Store Optician admitted that the sunglasses are very bad but they do not take responsibility after 30 days. Stay away from Lenscrafters. It is fly by night operation.

On January 1, 2018, I went to the Lenscrafters at the Avenue East Cobb to order new glasses. I should have been suspect from the beginning even though I have been a Lenscrafters customer for 15 years. The associate who attempted to fit my glasses obviously did not know what she was doing, as she kept asking the manager to help. I did order the glasses and was told that they should be in within 7-10 days. 2 weeks later when I attempted to follow up, I was told they were very busy at the lab, and it would be even longer. Another week goes by, and now I am told that they either did not have the frames, or they lost them, and they would be re-ordered. I finally did pick up my glasses around the 1st of Feb.

I have requested compensation for the delay and the poor service, and met with the store manager who made several offers of percent off of future purchases, all of which were unacceptable to me. I did request a refund of $100.00, just as a customer accommodation. I have since been told that they do not do that, as the glasses were gotten with insurance (their owned brand). "Sorry there is nothing that I can do to help you." My wife and I have been Lenscrafters customers for over 40 years, but will definitely not be going back, I also will discontinue my insurance with their co, and if necessary will purchase that insurance from someone else.

On 5/26/17 my husband and I purchased one frame and had lens replaced in 3 sets of frames we brought to the store. All frames brought had been purchased at Lenscrafters in past years. We spent $1562.18 and received 3 of the 4 items. The frames had to have their lenses done offsite. We subsequently had to go back twice to get those frames fixed and replaced.

At no time during the purchase were we offered a protection plan even though we spent considerable dollars at this store in Annapolis Mall. Yesterday I stopped at the store and asked them to look at and repair a scratch on my right lens. I was told I did not have the protection plan which costs $30 and so would have to have lens replaced. I was then told I would have to have both replaced as they aren't sold separately and it would cost me an additional $400 to have them fixed. I find this ridiculous.

I wish I had had the sense to check the Consumer Affairs site prior to spending my hard earned dollars at this business. Clearly other consumers have been oversold with Premium charges (a line item on my receipt that says Premium AR S43) which negates a good amount of my insurance savings on each purchase. We have been purchasing glasses from Lenscrafters for over 30 years and have never had to pay to have lens replaced for a scratch. We will be taking any future business elsewhere. In this day and age there are many more choices and better prices and service. Wake up Lenscrafters and take care of your long term customers. Also, train your employees to be sure to offer the Protection Plan and to try and work with unhappy customers.

I’ve been a customer of LENSCRAFTERS for more than two decades now. I’ve NEVER had a serious issue with this company, until now. Perhaps that’s because I was always a “paying customer!” On January 15, 2018, I purchased a pair of prescription eyeglasses which were valued at over $800 dollars. Fortunately, I have EyeMed insurance that took the bill down to $617.64, receipt number **, from Lenscrafters store number 1641, in Port Richey, FL 34668-4632, 727-842-3733. I asked the salesperson, **, if I could pay half when ordering and the other half upon delivery of these exorbitantly high priced pair of glasses. ** told me no. She said that due to the high costs involved, Lenscrafters, will not take any risk as they have to “send off” to have them made. So, I reluctantly agreed to pay the full amount due.

During the following week, I received a text message on the “wrong” cellphone! She couldn’t even get that straight. I keep the other phone as a spare in case of emergency, thus by chance, saw the aforementioned text. They (Lenscrafters) were informing me my eyeglasses were ready for pick up. I got this new pair of eyewear and noticed they weren’t as clear as my old pair. I chalked it up to perhaps I just wasn’t used to their way of cutting progressive lenses, thus leaving in an attempt to use them.

After over a week, I decided I wasn’t happy with them, and elected to return the glasses in accordance with their “30 Day Happiness Guarantee” as noted on my receipt. Keep in mind, **, never explained this policy to me. I had to be the “adult in the room,” and educate myself on this supposed Happiness Guarantee Policy. I contacted a gentleman, who happened to be a former Lenscrafters store manager to verify the policy and the FACT I need not supply Lenscrafters, their management nor associates of my “reasoning” for returning the glasses.

On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, I went to this Lenscrafters store to obtain a refund for my purchase I was NOT HAPPY WITH! Just my luck, **, the salesperson who sold me these overpriced spectacles, was the “acting store manager.” She immediately assumed a very obstinate attitude. She demanded to know WHY I wished to return them. I told her I didn’t need to provide her with any information, other than the FACT I wasn’t “Happy” with my purchase, and wished to take advantage of the advertised Lenscrafters 30 Day Happiness Guarantee Policy.

This really enraged her. She sighed so loud, everyone in the store took notice. She then raised her voice in disdain. ** said, “what’s your phone number,” to which I responded with “why,” because I’ve told her and her associates my correct one three times now; however, they can’t even correct this minor issue. Further annoyed, she asked for my name. Well I found this concerning as I was just in this very store the day before, getting fitted for contact lenses.

Upon leaving, she address me as Mr. **, inquiring if I preferred to take advantage of my multi pair frame discount, and perhaps I’d be interested in buying a pair of regular sunglasses. So, I “played along.” I gave her my personal information, and she looked it up. She wouldn’t even afford me the courtesy of looking me in the eye when addressing me. This was quite juvenile and disrespectful on her part. Finally, she realized I was on firm ground concerning my desire to return the glasses within the thirty day time period which is a misnomer in and of itself. One’s 30 Day Happiness Guarantee starts running from the date of purchase, not the day of delivery!

**, finally reached the need to desist with her desire to thwart me. However, she did take satisfaction in informing me that she did not have the $617.74 cash, which was the method I employed to pay for these substandard goggles, to refund me. She told me that it would take 7-10 business days to have my funds returned, via corporate check. This was unacceptable to me. I asked her to show me where it is written in the store, on my receipt or in any other reasonable place, just where it informs customers of this need to wait two weeks to receive monies back. ** had no viable retort to my question, other than to say it was “company policy.”

I continued to query her as to how in the world the public at large is expected to know Lenscrafters “corporate policy!” Now she was really upset, and “called for back-up.” Several other Lenscrafters employees stopped by the desk, and simply stood there. None of them attempted any resolution to the problem, they simply tried to intimidate me. This was absurd. I was never vulnerable to anyone in my 30 year law enforcement career, nor as a veteran of our nation’s military. Therefore, Lenscrafters employees were laughable in my opinion. They merely banded together like sheep being led to the abattoir.

Finally I demand to speak with a “corporate manager” since they had no manager on duty. **, “snapped up the phone,” and called Lenscrafters corporate offices. She lied, telling me her “corporate manager” reaffirmed her response to me that the only resolution was to accept this corporate check as re-payment. Then, some blonde haired salesperson interjected some smartass remark thinking I couldn’t hear her. I informed her, in short order, she wasn’t involved in this debate, thus the need to quiet herself. This got her attention as well as the male employee, **, who told ** to “call mall security!” I asked why this was, and I directed my question to **, who now felt emboldened by ** and told me she would no longer deal with me because of “my attitude!”

I told all three I wasn’t afraid to confront mall security on their Segway machines. However, since no one was willing to assist me, I elected to leave the store. Unfortunately, this blonde salesperson couldn’t let me leave peacefully. She waited OUTSIDE the Lenscrafters proper, in the common mall walkway, and continued to further verbally badger me. I told her what she could do with her sentiments, and continued to exit the mall as she shouted profanity laced remarks towards me, a true crimes of Disorderly Conduct, as described in Florida State Statute 877.03.

When I returned home, I contacted Lenscrafters corporate offices to register my complaint with a manager. I was told on two calls, that there was not one (1) manager available. I was told by “Seth” that they were all in a “meeting” therefore unavailable to talk with customers. Seth did state that he’d be sure to pass on my complaint once a manager became available. He went on to say that the office remained open until 9:00 P.M. EST. He assured me a manager would indeed return my call.

I waited until after 9:00 A.M. the following day, February 1, 2018. I had yet to receive a return phone call from Lenscrafters corporate offices. So I had to for the third time, call Lenscrafters corporate. This time, I spoke with “Marie” who informed me there was no manager available to help me. I found this to be getting to the point of deliberate contempt on part of Lenscrafters corporate to circumvent their obligatory duty to properly address customer concerns. Marie said that typically, it takes 24-48 hours to get a managerial antiphonal to customer concerns and or messages left for them. I catechized Marie, asking how ** was able to speak directly with a corporate manager while involved with me; however, as a simple customer, I couldn’t speak with one. Marie looked at my file, then made me aware that ** NEVER TALKED TO A MANAGER AS SHE REPORTED TO ME SHE DID! ** only spoke with an “associate” similar to Marie and Seth!

This whole calamity simply didn’t need to be. Had Lenscrafters store number 1641 had a competent and confident manager on duty as opposed to sales staff, who are feckless at problem resolution, this probably would of been resolved amicably. However, I was trained to match tit for tat others aggressive actions towards me, especially, when I’m outnumbered some 4 to 1. I’ll continue to wait the 48 hours for a return phone call, which I still consider to be reprehensible, however, I’m powerless to change it. Rest assured I won’t “go away” as many choose to do. In fact it appears to be Lenscrafters policy to treat twenty year customers as they’ve now treated me. In fact, that’s precisely why my friend resigned his position with Lenscrafters in favor of acceptance of a managerial position at another optical store.

I purchased a pair of glasses at Lenscrafters for the first time 11 months ago. Recently spots appeared in the coating of the lenses and did not come off when cleaned. When I brought them into Lenscrafters, they responded that even though it looks like a manufacturing flaw, they couldn't be sure how it occurred - that perhaps it was due to cleansers I use, etc. However, I've worn glasses for decades, treated all of them with the same care and products, and this problem never happened before. I had even purchased a pair of sunglasses from Lenscrafters around the same time, treated them the same, and the sunglasses have not had this issue (at least not yet).

They wanted to sell me a new pair for another $429. I took the glasses to another eyewear company and was told that that problem was definitely a manufacturer's flaw and should have been replaced free of charge, with or without extra insurance coverage. I was desperate to have good eyewear again so I had the new company replace the lenses. I also bought a second pair to have as a backup. Lenscrafters lost my business permanently by selling a damaged product and not being willing to make it right.

Had it replaced after a week to ten days of being without my NEW glasses. As others have mentioned, I PAMPER these things and after just over a year my so-called "scratch resistant" lenses are scratched and the lenses are becoming cloudy to the point of not even cleanable. I don't know where they are sending these things to be made but the quality of the lenses and coatings is deplorable. The advertisement indicated I wouldn’t need to go through the which is clearer A or B over and over again to the point I can’t see anything anymore – I have always disliked this part of the exam. I thought this was wonderful and made an appointment online.

I received an e-mail confirming my 9:00 a.m. appointment time, with instructions to arrive 10 minutes early to “fill out any necessary paperwork.” Since I needed to go to work after my appointment I decided to go frame shopping before my eye exam. Assuming they would probably open at 8:00 a.m. but would open no later than 8:30 since I was instructed to be there at 8:50 a.m. I showed up at 8:15 a.m. – they don’t open until 9:00 a.m.

When the store opened I filled out my paperwork, then went to the desk and let the young woman know I wanted the Clarifye exam – Clarifye isn’t available in this state! Both the technician and the doctor were very professional and did a good job. At the end of my exam I asked the doctor about my pupillary distance for my prescription. The doctor told me the ladies out front would do that.

I stopped out front and was told they couldn’t do that unless I was choosing frames since it was digital and the machine took into account the frame I selected. According to this lady the distance between your pupils will change depending on which frame you place in front of them. I looked her in the eye and said, “So, you are flat refusing to give me my pupillary distance to complete my prescription, I have paid $90.00 for an incomplete prescription.” She replied, “Have a nice day.” Had I not been given bad information in an email and mislead by television advertisement I would have ordered 3 pairs of glasses (safety progressive lens, normal progressive lens and computer) from these people. I was directed to have a seat at one of the stations, which I did. Amanda and one other girl were the only two employees in the store. Amanda finished taking care of the little girl at the station behind me, then came over to me. She asked if I would mind if she got rid of some of the lines. She then directed the traffic to various locations, stations, and promptly came back to me.

She was so calm and explained that there were only the two of them at the store. She didn't let the vast number of people milling around, waiting for service, to unnerve her. She simply smiled and said "this is nothing". She was absolutely incredible! She took her time with me, checked the difference between what I would pay with a coupon or with my insurance. My glasses were over $1000, but I ended up paying a little over $400, which included the insurance that covered any damages to my glasses. If you're in Lancaster County PA and need glasses, I highly recommend Lenscrafters and super highly recommend Amanda!!! She is an incredible asset to this store!!!

Triangle Town Center LensCrafters - Raleigh, NC: Due to the number of horrible reviews concerning LensCrafters, I felt that I should add my wonderful review. The only problem with my glasses was I didn't like the way they looked on me. After about 5 days I decided that I should return them. After reading the reviews I was a bit nervous about returning my glasses to LensCrafters. I truly thought that I would have a problem. In fact, it was such a great experience. The woman that waited on me when I got my glasses was the same woman who helped me with my credit. She was professional and very helpful. No problem whatsoever.

My husband purchased glasses in February 2017. The glasses were over $700 but with our insurance we paid $480. Now 5 mos later the glasses are scratched. My husband is very particular with his glasses. Always stores them in a case and uses only the cleaner/cloth for glasses. This weekend he was grilling and bent over and his glasses fell off his face. The lens got scratched and pitted. We called the store to see about replacing the lens and we were told the best they could do was sell them to us for $350.

I called my insurance company and they said we were sold all the "premium" options in February and that is why the glasses were so expensive. We were never told by the sales person that we were buying premium options nor were we given choices of the other options available. The thing we should've been sold was the $35 warranty not the other hidden things we didn't need or ask for. And the premium polycarb lens are worthless! And LensCrafters is dishonest company that takes advantage of their customers.

Highly dishonest!!! Be warned Now!!! They lack integrity. The people that work there are dishonest and rude. We use insurance that has ZERO copay and they tried to get us to pay them. Went to another company and they honored our insurance. Lens Crappers (as I call them) kept our insurance in their system to prevent the other company using our insurance. Had to contact the insurance company and they had to threaten them and removed the block themselves. We also used them last year. I am wondering how much we got ripped off at this point.

The management also lacks a sense of professionalism. He told me to come back when I was walking out the door to go elsewhere. When I asked how he could help me with a solution he simply placed the blame on Costco and said that Costco should not have offered the lens for free through our insurance (This is something I brought up during the conversation). I tried to walk away and he snapped at me and said "OH GOD!" as I was walking away. I felt troubled at this point as he said it in a way that I felt he would have tried to fight me. I walked out and they will never see our family again. It's too bad too because they would have made a lot of money off of our insurance. We have great insurance (Private not government).

I went into Lenscrafters at Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills California on 12/24/16. I bought contact lenses and there was a rebate offer where after registering my purchase online, I would receive a rebate in the mail. I had someone at the store walk me through the process and I sent in a photo of my receipt and all the information needed from the box etc that are needed to receive the rebate. The rebate never arrived and I called and emailed to complain and no one ever got back to me.

I recently went in and bought new glasses and I informed the store manager of what happened and she informed me that she would look into it. I am going into the store to pick up my eyeglasses tomorrow (12/22/17) and so far I have heard nothing back. The manager informed me that it's not Lenscrafters... it's Bausch + Lomb's company; however, what all businesses must understand is that if your corporation decides to work with an affiliate, and you are offering a rebate in your store, then you cannot separate yourself from them if they have poor service. Whatever they do or say is a reflection on your store. Not I need someone to look into this and so far it doesn't feel like I am any closer to receiving my rebate.

UPDATE ON 09/06/2017: Territory manager Darin ** from Thousand Oaks was finally reached about the rebate card I never received from Bausch and Lomb from their partnership with Lenscrafters. I had never received a rebate that I should have and no one responds when you inquire about these things. Darin finally did but not until after I wrote a social media review and he said the reason was that he was on vacation.

Darin said he would expedite my order which usually takes 6-8 weeks. Well... it was not expedited but I finally received the card but it did take another 8 weeks. Darin promised I would receive some complimentary contact lenses for my troubles but once again, I did not receive what was promised. I have to call him and email him and I finally reached him and he again said he was on vacation but he would look into it when he got back. It has been a few weeks and I again cannot reach him and therefore there is no update on my lenses.

The only way I know of to get attention to my complaints are to write a social media post because that is the only thing that worked last time. I feel sorry for all of the people I see had problems here on this page. Lenscrafters does not understand that if they partner with another company, LENSCRAFTERS is just as responsible for the resolution of customer complaints as Bausch and Lomb. I expect a call and my contact lenses.

I purchased nearly 800 dollars worth of prescription eyeglasses two years ago. I had added special anti reflective glare coating for I believe was an additional $75.

Three months later the glare coating was showing scratching and making my glasses unusable. I took them in and the store claimed I had been abusing my glasses... So not true. I kept them in their case and used the special cleaning cloth. The store claimed they could not remove the film and I would need to spend another $200 for new lenses. This if less than three months. Needless to say I went elsewhere.

Last month two years later. I took the same frames into Lenscrafters to replace the lenses for a new prescription. I shouldn't have been surprised, they claimed they no longer had the template for a lens for one frame (Rayban) and that the half frame lens on the other couldn't be replaced on the other because the optician claimed there was some damage to the device that holds the lens in. I couldn't see anything wrong. So the proposal was not only replace the lenses for $200+ but another $400 for new frames. Needless to say again I walked away and I stated that Lenscrafters policies for glasses are at best unethical and perhaps even illegal. Beware of these guys robbing you blind.

The good news. I found online a place to mail my glasses into. They replace the lenses in the same frames that Lenscrafters wouldn't swap out the new prescriptions. It took 5 business days to get my glasses back in the mail and I saved more than $400. Don't waste your money on Lenscrafters crooks. Go to Replacement Lens Express.

Their prices are 400% to 500% higher than others. On one occasion they put the wrong prescription in the computer, the glasses were out of focus, they said, "We'll give you 50% off on your next pair." They refused to fix their error. On another occasion the lenses did not fit the frame, they would fall out and they said, "It's the way these glasses are made". Yet, I ordered the same pair from someone else, and the lenses were cut right and fit. The LensCrafters store on Avenue of the Americas AKA 6th Avenue is RipOff City USA - STAY AWAY. But when I began calling to check on progress and associates went from at least trying to check on my purchase to not knowing how to look them up and telling me to call back later, I was slightly annoyed. When the manager told me sign up for texts I had already requested at my appointment and I had yet to receive a single text about the status, OK, a bit more annoyed.

My tipping point was when I contacted the national organization and not the local business and the representative told me she could call the store, I mentioned I had done all that many times and I just wanted an accurate timeline if she could get in touch with a warehouse, manufacturer, someone besides the store. She denied the request and had me find her contact info on the store in question because she was unaware they had moved... Needless to say, I just want my glasses and it is going on 3.5 weeks from my appointment when they said they would be ready in 1. If they had given me an honest estimate the 1st or 2nd time I would have been satisfied. But by the 5th person I talked to, including managers and national not just local or regional employees... The employee takes my plastic frames and attempts to adjust them but does a really horrible job and I notice a distortion in my left lens. Tries again but still has not shaped them to fit my face. He finally tries a third time but cannot seem to straighten them out enough to have them fit comfortably. He takes them to "the lab" and comes back with them a little better but not the lenses. Apparently during the heating process to adjust the plastic frames he heated the lenses causing them to crack. I received no apologies for this inconvenience but he offered to get me new lenses at no cost.

I go back a week later to have my glasses "repaired" and the new lenses are not thinned out like my previous lenses which I paid an extra fee for as I have really bad eyesight and I like to have my lenses thinned out. The frames come back and they have a tilt to them. I'm am so frustrated because I had adjusted them myself after the first horrible attempt. I leave after the second person's attempt to adjust my frames fail and adjust them myself at home. Unlike virtually any other product on the market, the "frames and lenses" from Lenscrafters has NO WARRANTY AT ALL, UNLESS YOU BUY THEIR WARRANTY for $34.99. There is NO WARRANTY for materials or workmanship of the frames or lenses. There may be a workable policy to deal with a repeat customer, but there is no ASSURED WARRANTY on the products being sold at Lenscrafters.

Furthermore, the disclosure of any of these facts is neither obvious nor discussed and you will not realize this until you get your receipt which (The customer may or may not see) for the charge for the Warranty. Even then the "WARRANTY" being offered is not complete. It would require a co-payment of some ill defined amount and even then the "EXTRA COST" is only applicable for one year! Poorly managed customer expectations.

Beware! My wife and I had routine eye exams at Lenscrafters in the Eastgate, Cincinnati, Oh facility in February of 2017. Their website says eye exams at $82.50 including the dilation test. The dilation test was what we had rather than the eye imaging which is $35 extra. We paid $40 each upfront thinking the remaining $42.50 was being billed to Medicare for the medical part of the exam. Two months later we received bills from them for $140.05 each because we had not met our deductibles from Medicare for the year yet. They had billed Medicare $150 rather than the $42.50 we thought would be billed.

They had charged Medicare more than $100 extra over what the exam costs for a cash only transaction. This had not been explained to us upfront. If we had known, we would have paid the $82.50 cash upfront and not had anything billed to Medicare. Besides all this, the exam was rushed. One nice thing, my new glasses were made in a little over an hour, but they did not improve my vision any at all.

I bought my glasses from them less than a year ago. When the "coating was coming off" I had to pay to get my lenses replaced. When I got them back (in a hour) I put them on and things were blurry. I told them and their response was "You haven't worn your glasses all day so it's going to be blurry." Keep in mind I had progressive lenses with a -.25 to 1. My eyes aren't bad. Just off enough to cause me migraines and I need the glare protection. I told her that did not make sense but I guess we will see. Once I went outside I was seeing 4s of the street lights. Then I knew something was wrong. I went back inside and told them the problem. I was told there is nothing wrong with the lenses and go get my eyes checked. At that point I left furious.

I went up to the other Lenscrafters in the area and the supervisor confirmed there was a crack in the coating and that would be causing the blurry vision and seeing 4s of lights. He told me he would get these ordered right away and should be ready in 3-4 days. Keep in mind this was Friday night 15 mins before they closed. On Tuesday I went in to drop off my frames, thinking they would need them that day or tomorrow. Later that week on Friday I called to find out where my glasses were. I then found out they didn't order my lenses till Tuesday, the same day I dropped off my frames. The supervisor completely disregarded my visit and never ordered my lenses. I came in on Monday when they finally got them. The same supervisor was there and helped me.

I bluntly asked why it took so long. This was the response "(snarky) Sorry, you came in late and I was off the next few days." So I replied with so much for that 3-5 days. This time he got louder and said "I said I'm sorry." All snarky. At that point I walked out with my finally repaired glasses. Later that day I set my glasses down and my leg accidentally laid on them. I felt it right away and lifted up my leg. The frames at the hinges just snapped off. I never noticed my $200.00 frames had plastic hinges. I called their corporate office because I am not dealing with their stores again. I was told I had 2 days left for my protection program but I have to file a claim through warranty before they would allow me to pay the 25.00 to replace my frames. I submitted my claim to their website they gave me. 10 days later I had not heard anything.

I tried calling all week and waited over 2 hours every time and never got anyone. Finally today I got a hold of someone and the reply was "Sorry we never received your claim". I called Lenscrafters back and was told "Sorry nothing we can do now." They will try to contact the store to see if they will do something. I do not expect a positive outcome. This has been a terrible experience and recommend everyone not to go there. At one time they were a good company. Not anymore.

Lenscrafters wants me to pay for another $75 exam to adjust the lenses. Seriously? The people that work in the Champaign, IL store are rude and very condescending when dealing with customers. They act like they are annoyed that you are even there. I have worn glasses for 37 years, and they spoke to me like it was my first day on the planet. With glasses. The prescription was wrong in my right eye and all they did was keep adjusting my glasses with no luck. I went back today like a fool to give them a second chance and was I wrong. On my eye exam they charged me extra for a retina exam after telling me my co-pay was $20. They had me sign a paper in a dimly lit room and afterwards told me my co-pay was $59. Afterwards they started the fast talking about this coupon vs insurance vs triple A. They get you so confused that you don't have any idea about what's going on. After all of that they charge you a ridiculous price for a pair of glasses. I told them I was quoted a co-pay price of $20 and they say SORRY. Don't be deceived by the fast talking confusing tactics that they rely on to empty your pockets. I will never go back and neither should anyone else.

Glasses are always amazingly expensive. Although I think Lenscrafters' prices are comparable to others, but it's still a high price for what you get (although eyes are important). Lenscrafters is a good place to get glasses. They have various price points and good quality glasses, however there's a slight distortion in vision. But they give discounts, have a large selection, and the people are knowledgeable and friendly. They also deliver in "about an hour".

They have a large selection and you can add what you need to protect your eyes. But the glasses are way overpriced, they make money on the frames that are expensive and then the lens cause I need glare and sun protection which amounts to a high price. My glasses, which I picked up at Lenscrafters, are made of good materials. But they're hard to clean, so I end up just washing them with soap and water. I can't even just clean them with the cloth that they gave me, which I find a pain.

When the Doctor found I had a film over my eye and needed it lasered, they told me I could come back and replace the left lens for $25.00 if it needed to be changed. They didn't tell me how long I had and it took a long time to see the Doctor and then you have to go back for the procedure, so my time ran out. When I asked them to replace the lens they said they don't do that, but yet they where going to do it if my time didn't run out so I don't understand them. My ophthalmologist replaced it for $600.00, which was $200.00 less than the entire pair of glasses with the frame. Not happy with him so my glasses ended up costing me $1400.00, that made my credit card company happy and I realize you can't trust Doctors either. A lot of crooks out there.

I'm incredibly disappointed with LensCrafters right now. For the past several years we have always gone there for eye appointments and glasses; they have always been kind, helpful and provided great customer service. This week, my kids are in town and my daughter broke her glasses. Her mom is getting a new pair but needed one measurement, pupillary distance, before she could place the order. In the past, we've been able to go in and get measurements or have glasses repaired with no issues. But yesterday, December 31st, I took my 6 year old daughter in to get the measurement, and received the worst customer service I've ever had there. The man I spoke to was rude and condescending and when I told him what we needed, he rudely said, "We don't give that out." From this point on, I will no longer use LensCrafters nor will I recommend them to anyone. If that's how they provide customer service, I will take my business elsewhere.

I had to go in 3 times before I finally had someone speak with me. And the glasses I liked on the site, they didn't have in-store, and I had a 2 week wait for them to order samples to try. I actually caught my frames on sale. But I hated my original selection and opted for Third Culture sunglasses that they put standard lenses in. They had a higher price point than expected for plastic frames with metal legs, are oversized, and the lens were more expensive than the frames. But they are high quality by a trusted label and I have been wearing them for over a year now

They know it will only take a few minutes to send us on our way, unless they want to admit that they do such a poor job that they expect to need major adjustments. One of them was finishing up with a customer when we came but moved right on to a new customer instead of giving us a few minutes for the pick-up. Another was waiting for a customer to finalize his selection. Why can't one of them politely excuse herself from the customer and say "I will be just a few minutes, as this young lady is just here to pick up her glasses." Why? Isn't it because they want to make sure they don't lose the sale with the new customer, and they can't lose my daughter anymore because we have already paid?

This defect resulted in them gradually developing a hairline fracture down each lens, both fractures occurring in the exact same spot. When I went in to confront them about it, I was immediately treated like it was my fault, and told that it couldn't possibly be a defect. I have gone through many pairs of glasses, and have taken great care to ensure they stay in good condition, never mistreating them, so this was very insulting to me.

The looks they gave me, along with the faces they made, were so accusatory, it was just terrible. This is the last time I will ever shop at this location, not to mention Lenscrafters as a whole. Paying such a high premium for glasses, you would expect some sort of lifetime warranty on defects. Not so at all, and not even a hair of respect for the paying customer. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

I had a good salesperson and that's as far as it got, I was told the glasses with the lens would be shipped to me in France within 3 days, I cannot tell you how many times I emailed customer services at LC. I finally got a tracking number from them, but they did not know who the shippers were (strange). Anyway I traced the number to UPS which showed as the package was shipped and received in OHIO. Yes OHIO!! The mind boggles!!

Anyway in the end LC customer services (why do they say they are customer services) I finally spoke to another person who said she would call the export department (I never knew about this before or was it ever mentioned). Anyway she said she would call back a few days ago with a tracking number, she never did. But surprise surprise the package was delivered today the 15th December 2016, 5 weeks later I might say. So the moral of this story is, the salespersons get their commission but after that, that's it, too long a delay from 3 days to 5 weeks. I had my eyes examined at the Asheville, NC store on October 14, 2016. The doctor fitted me with my contacts and told me to try them out for a few days and see if they worked well for me. I returned a few days later and told the doctor that they needed to be adjusted because I could not read at all with them. She examined me, made the adjustment and gave me a new pair of lenses. I could read much better with the new lenses and proceeded to leave. I was in the process of moving to Florida and could not get my lenses mailed to me, so I asked for my prescription on my way out. The receptionist pulled up my records and printed out my prescription for me and I left.

When I arrived in Florida and had my address, I ordered 2 boxes of lenses from and online store that I had used in the past, submitted the prescription that was given to me by Lenscrafters and waited for my lenses to arrive. When I received them and put the first pair in, I realized that I must have been given the first prescription (not the corrected prescription) because I could not read anything at all.

I have been in contact with the doctor at Lenscrafters via e-mail constantly since this error was realized. She (on behalf of Lenscrafters) refuses to replace the lenses or refund the money I am out for the wrong prescription, even though she admitted the error to me in one of her e-mails. Her reasoning is that she can't refund or replace an error in my prescription due to her company's representative's error because I didn't purchase my lenses through Lenscrafters! It shouldn't matter WHERE my lenses were purchased, I entrusted Lenscrafter's with my vision in good faith and paid for the examination and any accurate prescription necessary. The Asheville Lenscrafter's store and Lisa **, are not to be trusted in any transaction! I will be taking the matter up with corporate, but from what I've read, my efforts will probably be futile. My issue is that the Lenscrafters in Omaha at Westroads Mall sends out appointment reminders for appointments never made by the customer. I have to assume that they just randomly assign the date and time to see if they can get the person to keep the appointment. Last year, I received a reminder email for an appointment that I supposedly made. The problem was, this appointment was during my vacation, which has been the same for the last 40 years...there is no way I would make ANY appointment during that two week period. But, like the good little follower that I am, I called and changed it and went to the appointment after vacation.

Fast forward to today and I receive the following (part not all of the email): "Finally, remember to keep your annual eye appointment. We can look for even the slightest changes to your eyes, and check for early signs of diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. You are currently scheduled for the following appointment: Appointment for: Vicki; Appointment Ref #:**; Date/Time: Tue 04-04-2017 12:40 PM; Office Address: Westroads Mall Omaha, NE 68114"

At least they didn't make it during my vacation again. I am certain that I did not make this appointment. It is neither in my personal calendar nor my work calendar, and I do not have a card with the appointment written on it, which I ask for if they do not offer one. Maybe they do this to older people (I am 62) hoping that we will just assume we forgot making the appointment.

I hope that others who have wondered if they just forgot making the appointment and went to it anyway, will realize that they are being bamboozled by this company. Now, to find a new eye doctor. PS: Last time, my glasses retailed for over $1,000, and this year they were over $600 because something was on special. And, if I had just had new lenses made for my Ray-Ban frames which were in perfect condition, it would have been over $700. I showed up for an eye exam and was told that the eye doctor was not in that day. I was told that they'd called me and left messages to let me know. They did not. Later, I received an email at 2:00 letting me know that my 1:00 appointment was being canceled because their doctor didn't show up. Telling me this at 2, an hour AFTER the time of my appointment, is not terribly helpful. They were extremely rude while I was in the store. One employee suggested I go to one of their competitors (!) instead - - and gave me a location that has not existed for 15 years.

When I went back for my rescheduled appointment, I was told the exam would be $99. After the exam, I was told that I had to pay $150 because of some extra service I'd had. I refused to pay the extra $50 as they had not obtained my permission for whatever (probably BS) extra service I'd had. I was told that the girl behind the counter could not take off the $50 without doctor present. I told her that I was not going to be scammed, that I had every intention of walking out of the store without paying a dime, and was absolutely not paying the extra $50 and they had no basis on which to enforce payment of that amount. Miraculously, she was then able to take off the $50, without the doctor present.

I contacted Lenscrafters about the terrible service and have received FIVE emails saying that the regional manager is going to contact me, which still has not happened and I doubt ever will. Now, I've discovered that Lenscrafters did not submit the $99 I paid for my exam to my health insurance company - - they only submitted for $59. This is not the result of an insurance company adjustment - - Lenscrafters reported only a $59 exam. That means that only $59, rather than the $99 I paid, gets applied to my deductible, and it may well constitute insurance fraud. I called again about this and was given more "we'll get back to you," which I seriously doubt will happen.

I will not be going to Lenscrafters again, they are clearly scam artists and will hopefully be put out of business soon enough. I would recommend that anyone looking for eye care not give this fraud-happy company your business and go elsewhere as you will receive better eye care and better service and not contribute to the continued existence of this scam company.

I can see better with my old glasses than the new ones. You would think if you spends hundred of dollars you would get new nose pads and a lenses' wipe, no deal. Also the three times I was at the store, new people were there each time. The exam receptionist is also the same one doing the initial exam. Being friendly - they have to work on their people skills. This the Avon, Ct. store. Stay away.

Frames cannot be adjusted to hold the adjustment. Lenscrafters will replace the frames if broken with like frame. That didn't work. They won't replace with different frame or manufacturer. I have worn glasses more than 40 years and these are the worst frames ever and Lenscrafters doesn't care that I spent nearly $500 for frames less than a year ago that don't work or fit. I will lobby against them for years if this isn't resolved in the next few days.

Horrible customer service. Refused to actively listen to my problem with the very expensive glasses I purchased. Gave me excuses that my difficulty with distant vision was a result of a dominant eye and I should give it time. Vision out of my right eye is distorted beyond 50 feet. Young woman who assisted me when I returned to work out my problem argued rather than attempt to help, indicating that it was the size of the frames. HORRIBLE, EXPENSIVE EXPERIENCE! Don't give the Santa Monica CA on Wilshire your business. That's their only concern - your money.

I would like to share my recent experience. I went to the Oakville Place a month ago. I picked out Ray Ban glasses. The rep said that I would need to get my prescription and the cost for Ray Ban lenses would be $85 plus the cost of the Ray Ban glasses. I put them on hold. My CAA discount would bring it under $300. I brought in my prescription only to be told by another rep that they would not be able to put my –3.75 on each eye prescription on that frame. I chose another frame. I was promised the lens would be the same color and the lens would now fit. I got the back and the color of the lens was not the same blue. It was more of a brownish grey. The lens did not fit properly at all. It was sticking out and the arms were widened. I brought them back and chose a green lens made by Ray Ban.

Fasal said that this can be done for sure. I found it frustrating that the oriental tech in the back came out and yelled that the frame would still be wide and the arms will stick out. I received another call days later only to be told that they cannot be done. No reason was give. I came in and was issued a refund. I think I deserve an explanation. "See what you love, love what you see" is Lenscrafter's motto. How does that transfer to me? I reached out to the head office and CEO as to why I made 4 visits to this store for nothing. I want an explanation as to why they cannot make the glasses that I requested even though they said that it could be done. I would also like to know why nobody has called me back in over a month?

Waited 13 minutes to get checked in for my eye appointment. Was told several times that "someone will be right with you" and "someone will be with you in a moment". Ashley from the lab ended up checking me in. She was extremely polite and very nice. She showed professionalism and true customer service. I got to the pre-testing at 11:55 (my appointment was at 11:45). After the 10 minutes of pre-tests I waited until 1:00 before I got in to see the doctor. As the sales people walked by I kept getting told "It'll be just another couple of minutes, sorry". While I waited I looked at frames (for about 15 minutes) and was assisted by Gavin. He was just plain awesome. If you end up going to this location, you'll probably want to get helped by Gavin when selecting frames.

Follow up appointment: My appointment was at 12:45 but I got there at 12:00. They got me in and I saw Dr. Lena **. She was short and to the point and seemed rushed. I'll chalk that up to her squeezing me in 45 minutes before my appointment which was greatly appreciated. I needed an additional follow up the next Friday (my fault).

When I went back, she wasn't as tense and to the point. My appointment was at 3:45 and at exactly 3:45 she called me back. She was definitely more relaxed. We decided that the prescription I was using for the contacts I currently had in was perfect. (The sample/test pair provided by them.) She finalized the prescription and I went out to order my contacts.

I was helped by Mike (I think that was his name) and he was very polite with a sense of humor. I had to wait about 10 minutes as they were busy with not enough staff on the sales floor. (From my previous times here this seems to be the norm). We got my contacts ordered and my new glasses adjusted in about 5 minutes.

Fair warning: If you call this location be prepared to wait on hold for a while. I observed them answering the phone (after letting it ring numerous times) and putting the customer on hold for about 5 minutes. Once again this was due to a lack of staff on the sales floor.

It's been 2 months since I had my eyes examined and to this day, I still don't have a clue when I will get my glasses back. It's been returned 4 times and going on 5th. The reasoning was because of the frame I chose was frameless and it was difficult to do due to the screw into the lens. First time was the lenses broke, 2nd time was the frame broke, the 3rd time was they put the incorrect prescription, 4th was lopsided, now waiting for the 5th excuse. Don't you think this is way over the top? I have been patient and this is "Unacceptable". The manager Carolyn was not helpful at all and had the worst attitude. The sales supervisor was trying which I appreciate but I think it's time for a real manager to contact me with this nightmare. This is my 2nd time this yr that I've been trying to get glasses and it's been 6 months ever since. Please someone help me get this resolve!!!

I discovered yesterday that my lenses are scratched. Previously I had them check because I was not satisfied with the way they were giving me the right prescription. They said oh YES! I have not been able to see properly with them. The sunglasses I got at the same time I see great with them! Now back to the scratches (I am a 73 year old woman and have worn glasses since I was 15, I do KNOW how to clean the lenses), I am using the cleaner from Lenscrafters and the cloth that came with them. The person that assisted me yesterday had a very bad attitude! He accused me of scratching them and wanted $350.00 just to replace the lenses. I am going to take my subscription to another eyeglass shop and all mine and my husband with no longer go to Lenscrafters!!!

We were told that LensCrafters would file a medicare claim on our behalf after we paid upfront for glasses prescribed after cataract surgery. Medicare denied the claim because they are not an approved medicare vendor. To me that is fraud if they led us to believe that we could be reimbursed a portion of the glasses when they are not authorized to file claims.

Worst experience ever! Placed order for glasses, was given specific time to receive, their "hub" lost the order & they never let me know. I kept being told they are working on it but don't know where the order is. I came to talk to Joshua/Hillsboro OR who place the order. Got to speak to manager instead since Joshua would not come over to speak with me or even look at me when I've been nothing but polite to them in spite of terrible customer service. Spoke to lab manager who said the glasses will be received and completed today Monday 6/20/16 but that never happened. They still did not receive the order and do not know where it is.

I canceled my order today... but another problem! They did not have my card when they placed the order but were able to bring up my account to order the glasses without a problem... Now they tell me I need to bring in the card to have the order canceled, so they can't cancel the order?! I misplaced the card and was going to order a new one after picking up my glasses.

I spoke to customer service w/ my Lenscrafters account and they agreed to order a new card after I pick up my glasses so as to avoid the transaction from being canceled out in the process. No one at Lenscrafters seem to take any responsibility and just continue blaming the next guy... "We just relate the information from this person and that person" and "it's not our faults," blah blah blah. SAVE yourself a headache, Don't Buy Your Glasses from Lenscrafters. I have been a customer for a while with them and I will NEVER place an order with them again! Customer service was the ultimate worst ever!!!

I duplicated a pair of glass at the Lenscrafters store located in Toronto, where the lenses are not consistent with the prescription. For convenience, I went to another one located in Eaton Center and explained that I would like to have it exchanged with the correct lenses. However, they rejected to do that. To solve it, I MUST change the frame as well as the correct lenses. Note that there is a shuttle difference between the old frame and the new one, and it should work when I consulted with the staff before I made the new glass. Moreover, by Lenscrafters policy, client can get the same service at any Lenscrafters store. Based on the above, the service at Eaton Center Store located at 220 Yonge St, Toronto, ON, M5B 2H1 - CAN is very disappointing because they only focus on their own interests and ignore the client's reasonable request.

Awful treatment. Not professional, manipulative and be careful with them overcharging you!! They tried to intimidate me in three different occasions while I was buying new eye glasses. During my visit to the Solomon Pond Mall Store in MA, on memorial Day 2016, I purchased a pair of prescription lenses for $407 Cash including a phony 30% off. It was supposed take up to one week for them to be ready.

I noticed that the salesperson was indiscreetly loud and offered short answers trying to avoid objections. It felt strange at first, but soon I realized it was sales strategy to intimidate patrons so they don't question pricing, coverages, etc. Everyone in the store could hear that they didn't accept my insurance so I had to cover all the costs myself. (That's nobody's business!) That's fine about the charges but what bothered me, was the way they talked to me. (Is that how people make sales these days by intimidating and shaming customers?) I felt a little embarrassed but not for long...

I purchased in full the supposed discounted $407.00 prescriptions without a frame and provided them with my own Fendi Frame to save up a little since my old prescriptions weren't working for me. Eight days after the purchase and without hearing back from the store, I decided to call the back to inquire about the prescription, but nobody called me back. So, I called again and again... (Very exhaustive.) I was told that they were too busy to return my call. After some persistence on my part, I was told the shipping was "late" and that they would make me another set of lenses in the meantime at no extra charge and that I could keep them for the inconvenience they had caused me.

When I went back to the store in the next day, another sales person (Alison) tried to intimidate me again by speaking loudly about my business in front of all the other customers in the store saying something completely different from the other sales representative I had on call. She followed by saying that she was going to call immediately both of sales people who I had spoken to on the phone the day before to verify what they said was true. She never called any of them and she loudly stated previously. I insisted she would make a conference call with them but instead, she changed the subject and completely ignored me.

Then, I realized that they were resistant to inform that it takes two weeks minimum for the lenses to be ready for pick up. (I spoke to 5 different sales people on total and everyone kept that information from me until the last minute of my refund). I paid full price for those lenses and provided my own frame. I think I deserve the minimum respect and transparency. I feel I was discriminated against because I have an accent to be totally honest. This is unbelievable!

When I asked fourth salesperson also a manager (Elizabeth) why they wouldn't call any of the salespersons as stated in front of me (I was telling them the truth, so they could honor what was promised and she gave me a excuse by saying the staff were off so they wouldn't call them for that reason). I felt like a completely fool and on my own. If that's how I patron will be treated in these stores, I'd rather go to a high-end privately owned boutique to get my prescriptions from. I feel I wasn't treated properly and the staff weren't transparent with me for starters.

I requested my money back and I am hoping they will ship back my pair of Fendi frame. If they don't I will file a formal complaint against them. I already called the corporate to file another complaint as well. We as consumer have rights and we can't allow these companies and stores with this dysfunctional culture treat us like this. $400 is a lot of money for prescription lenses that are valid for only 2 yrs. We are the ones purchasing these goods and have the right to be treated with the utmost respect period. FYI: Later, I discovered that they had sent me a coupon on the mail for the same prescription lenses including the frame for $199 and $249 to my confirmation I was being ripped off.

I dealt with LensCrafters for several years, but my recent experience is beyond acceptable. I had purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses about nine months ago. I stopped in for an adjustment. The clerk brought them back from the lab, and told me the tech had broken the stem. Snapped right off. They didn't have the same frame, and the frame I had was discontinued. So a new pair was ordered with a similar frame. I got them about a week later. There was a film on the inside of the lens that kept reappearing. I'd have to clean them all the time. Took them back. They attempted to say it was something I was doing. Too close to your eyes, cleaning with the wrong cloth, etc. Try cleaning them with Dawn. Nothing worked. Took them back again. To sum it up - it was MY problem.

Took them in today for the same issue. Brought them out of the lab again and 'the frame broke.' Of course they didn't have THAT frame either. Found one close to it and put the lens in. That frame broke when I tried them on. Found another frame in another style that they could match up with the lenses. But it's tortoise shell and not the originally picked black frame. There was no offer to correct, replace or anything else. I told the clerk that that was it and I'd never be back. And, I won't!!! So I feel like I wasted $350.00 and a whole lot of aggravation and wasted trips to the store. My thinking is they have cheap imitation designer frames from China. LensCrafters no more!!!

I brought them back and the store manager told me that I did not have the "higher quality" protective lens anti-glare and scratch resistant coating. He told me it was my eyelashes that ruined my less than 90-day old glasses. I am 49 years old and I have been wearing glasses for 30 years. Never have I had this problem, ever. I ordered two pairs of glasses. One was sunglasses in a frame I had already. Even though I was told an hour I did not get the sunglasses that day. I was called by automated system a few times and told they were ready but when I got there they weren't. Not a huge deal. I purchased progressive glasses and insurance on the lenses and frames although I never have before because my glasses are always on my face and I never scratch them. I use only the lens wipes to clean and never use my shirt. I also got the scratch resistant lenses and although I did NOT want the anti-glare (it is always smudgy and smears) I was talked into it and told technology has changed and they would not smear or smudge.

After about two months I had a huge scratch appear on the left lens. I went back and got it replaced for a fee of $25.00. A month later and there is a scratch on the left lens again. Also when they replaced the first lens they did not ground it down and it is poking all out of the frame. I am very unhappy with these glasses. Between the scratches and smudges and going back several times for nose and ear adjustments I am done with Lenscrafters. I have worn glasses for 46 years and have NEVER had so many scratches on my lenses. I paid good money for the glasses too. I have gotten better ones at Wal-mart.

"You don't understand poly lenses." I remarked that I have worn poly lenses since they were invented!!! I have worn glasses since I was 6 years old. I understand glasses! Another sales person asked did I leave my glasses in a hot car causing the damage. No my glasses stay on my head as I use them to see where I am going! All totally unprofessional!!!
