Between my husband, myself and daughter we’ve ordered at least 7 pairs of glasses over the past few years. Some simple, some more complex involving special lenses or unusual needs. The very first order I made I was hesitant because the price was SO MUCH better than anywhere else, I thought there had to be a catch. But, no catch. The quality is of products, the wide selection, and the customer service is superb. Because this a hands-on operation, humans are, well, human. There have been a total of two relatively minor problems with glasses ordered in all this time, one because of an error on our part, the other because of a slip by quality control at 39dollarglasses. On both occasions, customer service was super quick and easy to connect with, followed by prompt resolution and email confirmation.
Seriously, they go above and beyond to keep their customers happy and satisfied with their products and service. The customer relations reps clearly have been given the authority to make things right and they seem absolutely sincere and pay attention to what the customer is asking about. I highly recommend 39dollarglasses and hope others will too. Not pure altruism on my part — I want them to stay in business so I can keep getting deals in good glasses for years to come!
Thanks for this awesome review! We promise to keep sending you good deals and glasses :)

Just got my glasses and I am thrilled. Not only did they cost $163 instead of $550, but they arrived quickly and "work" better than any I ever have had. I think it may be due to PD specs being more accurate. So long Kaiser Optical, I'm devoted to 39DollarGlasses from now on.
Thank you! :)

I purchased 2 pairs of glasses, one pair fit and corrected my vision perfectly, the second pair had the wrong prescription on one lens. I returned them for repair and they sent them back to me, and still that lens was wrong. They charged me $19.99 for the third try, so I really expected they would be done right. Unfortunately, after sending them in for the third try I never received my glasses back at all.

I didn't have a lot of confidence in the physician I was seeing before. She hadn't really been able to correct my vision. So I thought of getting temporary glasses, some inexpensive ones to get me by, and then I would buy more expensive ones later. But I never ever bought any other expensive ones. I stuck with 39 Dollar Glasses. It was some friends who directed me away from one of their competitors in the beginning. They said 39 Dollar Glasses has better prices and really good choices. They said I might wanna go there instead so I could afford more pairs than before.
I like to have choices but I have found that my prescription is a very complicated one. With 39 Dollar Glasses, my prescription didn't always work with the different lens shapes or sizes that I had chosen in the past. But I've had very good luck with the frame name Clark. That was what I got on my first order, along with a Trento. I had trouble with my prescription with Trento, which may be because it had a lower profile on the lens area. But 39 Dollar Glasses was very accommodating. They let me send the Trento back and they replaced it with another pair of Clark in a slightly different color. So that all went really well.
This year, I am with a new doctor and I was very excited because I no longer need readers. He's been able to figure it all out. I ordered Retro 108 and Oxygen, and I loved the look of the Oxygen but my prescription didn't marry with it well. It was probably because there's a narrower glass area. There was such a noticeable difference between that and the other pair of glasses that I had gotten. With the Retro 108, I can sit at my computer, read the computer screen and look out the window. It's like a miracle.
I recently sent the Oxygen back and 39 Dollar Glasses is replacing them with Retro Eyewear 108. That's an upgrade in the frame and I was prepared to pay the additional $10 that I thought I owed but when I called to pay, they told me I didn't owe anything. So I'm waiting for them to figure out what was wrong there. I also called them to let them know that even though my contact lens prescription changed recently, the glasses prescription had stayed the same and to put the Retro Eyewear exchange through.
I've always been a tough fit for glasses, even for the people selling prescriptions for my doctor's office. So I can allay the fears of someone who thinks that their vision is too bad and that they can't go with 39 Dollar Glasses because they need the higher standard. It's just a matter of finding the right lens shape and size for your prescription. I've been very happy with the glasses I've gotten from 39 Dollar Glasses. Everything's working out not only well, but beyond expectations. And I have recommended them multiple times since my good experience last year.
Thank you for this awesome feedback. We're very glad that you're patient enough to try what works and what doesn't work. We also note your account when you call us so that any rep who works with you in the future is aware of your frame history :) Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need anything else.

39 Dollar Glasses offered the amber-colored lenses that I wanted for our fishing trip. I like that color as I can see better with it. There were also a lot of glasses to choose from on their site and it was fun going through them. The ordering process was really simple and good. They have the widths and the heights of the glasses, and that was good enough for me. I just had to call my eye doctor on one thing because there was something on their website that I didn’t quite understand. She told me what it was and that made sense, so it was pretty simple after that.
Then when I got to the end and got ready to pay for them, I was tickled to death when I found out that I could get another pair for 50% off. So I went back in and got more. The delivery was really quick too. I can see a lot better with my 39 Dollar glasses and I was really impressed. I have already told a couple of my friends and family members about 39 Dollar Glasses and I'm gonna order some more from them.
Glad to hear it :) Thanks for your kind words!

39 Dollar Glasses are cheap but have good quality. I order the same pair of glasses from them every five years for my dad and he likes them. The lenses and the frame are its best features. The ordering process is quick and they do it in a timely manner. However, it takes about 7 to 10 business days to get the glasses. It would be better if it's fast. Still, it's been pretty good with 39 Dollar Glasses.
Thank you for your feedback! We're implementing some new things in the next few weeks in order to speed up our production time... stay tuned :D

39dollarglasses has a wide range of styles and I like their prices. I’ve purchased from them two times in the last month and my most recent purchase was Stuyvesant frames with regular vision and the coating on them. I find this brand comfortable and I like the way it looks. Delivery was very fast, less than a week, and it was well-packaged, in good shape and it didn't break.

We've been using 39 Dollar Glasses for a long time and and I tell people to buy their glasses too. They're cheap and they're good. My friends also use 39 Dollar Glasses. Sometimes you can get coupons and we tell each other when you can get coupons. The other thing about 39 Dollar Glasses that's good is that the glasses are like throwaways. They are $39 or less. If you need to buy a new glasses, you can. If they break, you just get another pair. In comparison, Zenni is even cheaper than 39 Dollar Glasses but I bought glasses from them one time and they weren't very good quality.
We always purchase regular glasses from 39 Dollar Glasses and the ordering process seems okay. You pick out the glasses then the glasses come and they're okay. But I think the company was sold in the last couple of years, or they changed their software system. I was buying glasses one time and there were some issues. Their online service wasn't as good as it used to be. But they seem to have resolved that.
Also recently, we had an order that was just shipped and I was using the tracking number to see when it would arrive. The tracking number told me the glasses were two towns over in Florida and that they were gonna be delivered the next day. But when I checked the tracking number again the next day, it told me the glasses were in Austin, Texas. There was some kind of mix-up with the shipping so the glasses arrived a couple of days later than the tracking number originally said it was gonna be. That may not have anything to do with 39 Dollar Glasses though. It might be a postal service issue. Nonetheless, I like 39 Dollar Glasses.

39 Dollar Glasses is great. I went with them because of their cost and quality. I've been ordering from them for years, and the process has been easy. I had bought a pair last fall and they broke, and they replaced them with a similar pair. The lenses were fine and they sent me a frame. I usually get lenses pretty jacked up. They either have all or almost all of the options. I have bifocals so I get the Transitions and I get the photo stuff on the lens, as well as the anti-scratch. Sometimes I leave the computer glare thing off. The customer rep was cool, and they had been excellent every time I had to deal with them.
I wish, however, that there were more options available. They stay sort of static over the years. It would be nice to have a little more variety. But, other than that, I'll buy my next pair of glasses from them again. They have been very convenient and affordable. It's easy because once I get my script, I can, if it has or has not changed, just jump on and order them. I appreciate the coupons and the nice deals every once in a while, too.
Thank you for your feedback, William! you have been heard and we will be adding plenty more styles in the coming weeks. Please keep an eye out :)

Previously, I tried purchasing from USA Glasses. But then, I got to test a pair of glasses from 39 Dollar and I liked theirs better. Ordering from them has been really easy apart from one part wherein I had to measure PD. Still, the second time I ordered, I was ready because they looked up my old order. Also, their website is okay except that if I boot it up and forget my password, there's no way for me to go back into my account. I can't get the email address I used again so I would have to call them. It would be nice if I could reset my account.
Thus far, I've ordered polarized glasses, sunglasses and clear glasses from them. They're wire frames and the quality has been good. One time, I had a simple piece break off of one of my glasses. I called 39 Dollar to reorder the same type and their rep told me that they would just send me another frame for free. Others should visit 39 Dollar Glasses' site. As long as you have a prescription, it's the place to go. It's a lot cheaper and they offer good quality products.
Thank you for your kind words :)

I'm a senior citizen and my eyes are not as good as they used to be. I went to the doctor and was looking around to save some money on glasses. The ordering process at 39 Dollar Glasses was fabulous. The lady was very helpful from beginning to end. She helped me walk through it right and gave a discount. The delivery took a week to 10 days and it was very prompt, especially for the amount of money I paid. However, with the first set of glasses I got, the prescription wasn't quite right. It was my doctor's fault as he didn't write the prescription correctly, but they fixed it and there was no hassle. It's a great value and I love them.
Glad to hear it all worked out Theodore :)

I was looking at getting some glasses online and I stumbled across 39DollarGlasses.com. Everything seemed real simple. I didn't have to go to the doctor's or the optometrists to get my glasses. I got the frames with the upgraded covering and coating to go on the lenses and they're pretty good, though I had to wait a little while longer to get these than I normally do. I paid for extra fast shipping, but it took them a week or two to deliver it. I emailed asking when I was gonna get them 'cause I needed them and I never got emailed back, and eventually I called and they said that they'd send them when they made them. When I got them, there was a slight crack at the bottom of the lens and I don't know if I did that or if it was like that when I got it. It still works though, and I like the slight bluish tint to it.

This is the time estimate from their website: "Over 95% of all orders ship within 2-7 business days. For some higher prescriptions and multifocals (progressives and bifocals) it may take up to an additional 1-4 business days to process your order." So the min-max estimate here is 2 to 11 business days until your order ships. My last order—not at all a high prescription, not multifocals, no extra processing—took 16 business days to ship. After day 12, I contacted their customer service line on a fairly regular basis about my order and got the same story: "We're sorry it's taking so long, no I don't have any answers for you, please hold tight". This happened with my last order as well. And with that order, on the right lens, there was a significant gap between the lens and the frame; about a centimeter. There are plenty of other more reputable online companies you can purchase glasses from. Do yourself a favor and never order from here.

I only got a refund on 1 pair because they said it did not pass their inspection and other pair did so no refund on it even though I could not see out of either pair so buyer beware.

As most of the reviews seem to go on here I'm another unsatisfied customer. This is the 7th business day for me, and from what the website says 95% of people are shipped their glasses within 2-7 business days. Since I have no glasses to review, this 1 star is simply for the customer service aspect of the company. My first encounter was on the 5th business day where I waited over 20 mins to get a response from their online chat. I received no response from that, so I called up the direct line. The lady on the other end was pleasant to talk to although she could tell me nothing more than they are being assembled. The 7th business day arrives and now I decided to skip the chat and go straight to the phone. The lady is once again nice to talk with although I'm disappointed to find out that one pair of my glasses are good to go, and the second pair are awaiting final inspection.
I asked if they could split up my packages perhaps, since my 2nd pair of frames might not be ready today, the 7th business day. The lady on the phone said there would be an additional charge for that... I paid for next day air, and I still won't be receiving my glasses until possibly 9 to 10 business days out. Hopefully, the glasses will be in good shape despite what some users of this site have experienced. It's all about how you treat the customer no matter how inexpensive the glasses may be. It's too bad the company didn't want to try to get my glasses out to me as quickly as they could, even if that meant them having to eat the price of delivery on the second pair of glasses. I guess my business and the business of people I know aren't that important to them.

My son had a pair of vintage frames that came with clear plastic. We investigated options of prescription lenses but they were all very costly (over $200). Since these were to be used very occasionally I searched the internet for lower cost options and found 39dollarglasses.com. At first I was skeptical but chatted with their customer service and was told exactly step by step how to proceed. I mailed them my frames (I was a little hesitant but the cost was worth it) and about a week and a half later I received a package with the frames and new prescription lenses installed! All for $39!!! I think I will send all my reframes to them and probably get contacts and new glasses as well. I never knew this kind of company existed but it was a great find!

I found 39 Dollar Glasses on the internet and I’ve been ordering from them for four years. I like their style and the latest one I ordered were gunmetal in color. It was shipped and delivered in accordance with the plan. In 2016, I got the Fission Eyewear and it had the minimalist style. I had a problem with almost every pair that I had because the nose pads fell off, even the new ones and when I called customer service a few weeks ago, they told me that they would ship out two brand new frames and I could swap the lenses. They told me that it would be easy and they would call me. I said okay and that’s what they did.
They didn’t send me any instructions on how to do it but I figured it out by looking at the internet on how to do it. And they got a little piece of paper that told me how to put in the new lens which was handy. Other than that, 39 Dollar Glasses is fine but they’ve gotten cheap. I used to get a little glass cleaner packet that the glasses came in and I like the little chamois pouch and the screwdriver but in the last shipment, I didn’t get those. They just put the glasses and they’re rattling around.

A few years ago, I was looking for a cheap pair of glasses and I came across 39DollarGlasses.com through an online research. They had a pretty well put together website, decent reviews, and I was able to find what I was looking for quickly. The prices of their products were comparable to other companies as well. Their ordering process was pretty straightforward and I liked being able to upload my prescription. Everything made sense though I felt like getting to my order status through the email was a bit clunky. Otherwise, it was good.
I ordered a pair of sunglasses and a pair of prescription glasses from them. The sunglasses are the Academy sunglasses and in the lenses, there were some gaps around where the lens meets the frames. Nothing significant, but I noticed it doesn’t look aesthetically as pleasing as you might like. I also had a more recent problem with my current glasses. When I first ordered, it arrived in a really crumpled and damaged FedEx envelope but the glasses didn’t look like they were twisted or broken. However, they had little metal ornamental pieces in the front, almost like sideways diamonds on the top corners, and those were both missing. They had fallen out and I found them in the packaging. I was able to put them back in, but because they weren’t properly glued and placed in, they fell out. On top of that, I ordered a colored cool lighted whiskey tortoise or shiny tortoise, and the acetate on it was pretty much all black.
When I called about these, they said that they would happily send me another pair. And when they did, the little temple pieces were fixed. But, again, the pair was pretty much all black. I was told that they were going to pull that off their website and inspect the process of why that was happening and that if I called back in about a month, they would be happy to replace the frames with the proper coloring. I went with the fair colored lenses the second time around and I’m happy with that. I also like the anti-glare coating.
If I would recommend 39 Dollar Glasses to a friend or family and the packaging showed up damaged, I would feel stupid for having recommended it. So, I would prefer the packaging to be improved. I was worried even with the replacement pair I got because it was slightly bent and the packaging came pretty busted up. I also ordered from Warby Parker not too long ago and they had a nice, sturdy, rectangular box and nothing was wrong with that.
Other than that, 30 Dollar Glasses' customer service was really good. I called and I was expecting to jump through hoops to explain what happened but the person that I talked to was very nice and happy to help me. And that was a very pleasant experience. It’s the only reason I’m still staying with them because they apologized candidly and offered to make it great.

I was looking for completely clear, translucent frames that fit the dimensions that I was looking for. And 39 Dollar Glasses was one of the very few that had a pair that seemed would work. It was my first time ordering glasses online, and 39 Dollar's process went fine. I ordered the Entourage. They narrowed too much at the bridge instead of being more squared, so they wore water blisters across the bridge of my nose. Then 39 Dollar Glasses was wonderful. I worked with a young man named David and he said, “Pick out several pairs you think might work. We will mail them to you, send you the return postage. You try ‘em on, figure out which pair you want. Return them back to us, let us know, and then we’ll make your glasses in which ever pair you pick. We’ll do your lenses.” And I’m waiting for that pair to be back.
David went above and beyond. He went ahead and sent me six pairs that him and I picked out together and paid the postage to return it, which he didn’t have to do. And I didn’t end up with my clear, translucent glasses, which was the whole purpose of doing online, so that really stinks, but 39 Dollar Glasses have worked with me and really tried to make me happy.

So I ordered one pair of sunglasses then two pairs of clear glasses, one of them with plastic frames and the other one with metal frames and I've been really impressed. They seemed really good.
Ordering was pretty straightforward. You put your prescription in and then they made it so simple with me just trying to define which frames I wanted. There's a lot of them to go through. I was having a problem with my optometrist. I would go in and she would prescribe some glasses for me and I was seeing double and having all kinds of problems. And so, I had another optometrist who I depended on and trusted, but I couldn't reach her by phone for some reason. My daughter used to work with the optometrist that I was having problems with. So, we kept trying and ordering more glasses and they were $300 or $400 a pair.
I finally linked up with this first optometrist that I trusted and she gave me a prescription. And I said, "Well, I'm just gonna order online, use just that prescription and just see if that prescription is good." And I got my glasses in five days because they weren't anything fancy. They were just plain jane, advertised $39. It was $43 including tax and/or shipping. And so, I thought, "Wow! What a great company" and they worked perfectly. So then, I took that prescription back to the optometrist I was having trouble with, had them reorder it, but they still screwed it up. I ended up with two and three pairs in some places and no pair of glasses from other places. And so, I said, "Well, I think I'll just order some simple bifocals from 39DollarGlasses.com." I went back to my trusted optometrist and got the prescription. It took a little longer this time because it was bifocals, but they came and they're doing very well. I'm getting used to wearing bifocals again.
But somehow my ordering process online got interrupted so I came back and I didn't see anything. I then went through the process again. Then when I put in the order, I didn't pay any attention to the amount and I ended up ordering two pairs of glasses. I emailed the customer service and I said, "I accidentally ordered two pairs. I just need one pair." They answered my question within 24 hours and refunded the extra money to my credit card. So they're not only a great company, their customer service is also fantastic.

So, hopefully they'd be ordering from 39 Dollar Glasses, too.

I used to get my glasses at Walmart and they would be $325. Then I thought of trying out 39dollarglasses.com and their online ordering process was easy. So far, I got at least eight pairs of glasses from them. My stepson also bought five pairs and my daughter in New Jersey buys from them. I got my mother in New Jersey buying from them, too.
We love all their glasses. They are always good and I very rarely have a problem. So far, I had two pairs sent back to them in the last eight years that I've been buying from them. But I've never had a real big issue and they fix everything if there was a problem. And no matter who I talk to, everybody was polite and very professional. They send me the code right away and make me send everything back.
Onetime, I got a little mark on the lens which was in my eye view and they said it was the progressive line. I sent the glasses back and they did something with it, but it was there again when I got the them back. This last pair I got with the clear frame had a little problem, too. So I sent it back and they fixed it. This is the best pair of glasses I’ve ever had on my face in 40 years. They’re so comfortable and looks like I don’t even have glasses on. I always put on Facebook about what a good job 39dollarglasses.com has done for me. I also looked into Danny.com and they have nothing like 39dollarglasses.com.

I found 39dollarglasses.com online and their site was very workable. It was about two and a half years ago when I first made a purchase and they provided excellent service. I spoke to Tiffany, a customer service rep, who did an outstanding job. I like tortoise shell eyeglasses so that’s what I buy but the best feature is the price. 39dollarglasses.com is a good place to buy a quality pair of inexpensive glasses and I’ve recommended them to my friends.

39 Dollar Glasses get the prescription correct and the price is right but they're still quality glasses. If you go through an optometrist, the price is probably double. But we’ve been having a major problem with the internet and I can’t seem to order online. I’ll put all the information in and then an error message comes up. I switched over to Google Chrome but it still doesn’t work. I just ordered recently and I had to call them. The customer service representatives were nice though. The last one was Tiffany and we chatted about the winter weather they were having down there in Long Island.
Right now I’m blind as a bat, thanks to the dog for eating my glasses. So it would be nice if they could put the orders out or have an additional expense to get the order quicker. I did the two days but I guess they shipped by regular mail. Besides, they probably have hundreds of orders coming in everyday and mine is progressive which take a little while longer.

I was searching on the internet and I found a pair of frames that fit me at 39 Dollar Glasses. That is the difficult part about ordering glasses online, so I stuck with them. So far, I bought at least eight pairs of glasses from them and for my last order, I bought some for the computer, some for reading, and some prescription sunglasses. One time, the arm came off my glasses so, I contacted them and they sent me a new set of frames. I was pleased with their customer service.

I’ve had glasses since ’93 and I have always used 39DollarGlasses.com but I only wear glasses when I drive. Their customer service was very good at helping out with questions so the interactions were great. I bought a single vision pair of glasses but I also had transition sunglasses with no prescription done and they fit it with my old frames. I got an order from them last night and I don’t know if the prescription was wrong or my eyes just don’t work with that prescription. But their products are very inexpensive and I can throw them out when I’m done with them if I’m not using that prescription anymore. It’s easily the best price and service for that dollar amount and you don’t’ have to go into a store. I’m happy with ordering and delivery as well and I’m a very satisfied customer.

I’ve been using 39DollarGlasses.com for a couple of years now. They have more designs than other places and I like their price. I also like that I get my orders right in my mailbox. Plus, they have the trans lenses which was what my daughter really wanted. They were supposed to ship my daughter's glasses out which was a Woodmere black and blue. But her left eye was getting really bad so, I contacted them and they coated the glasses down on the spot. I really appreciated what they did and I did not mind waiting a couple more days to get her glasses. I was also so grateful they did it because if they didn't, I was gonna get the glasses and send them back then I had to wait longer. They also messed up in the lab but they rushed the job free of charge for it.
I love 39DollarGlasses.com and everyone that I talked to when I called them was so nice and polite. I also found out that they did contact lenses and I gotta get me some more in the next couple of months. My daughter also loves the glasses that she got from them. They are neat and when she goes outside, they're darker than regular sunglasses.

39DollarGlasses is on the internet but I’ve been using them for years and the last time was the best experience I had. I accepted my glasses, wore them the first day and I had the worst headache. I was dizzy, nauseous and I didn’t know what was wrong. I realized it was my glasses and I made a mistake on the information that I put in for the distance on the lenses. My husband told me to call them so I did and I told them that it was an error on my part. The person I spoke to told me not to worry about it. They had a policy that if I make an error and it’s the first time, they will redo the glasses at no expense to me. I told them that I submitted two frames to be done and the second one also has the wrong information. I asked them to put a stop on it and put the correct information. She told me they would fix that as well. I got the glasses last week and they were wonderful.
I would have been stuck with two pairs that I couldn’t use and out of pocket $500 but it turned out to be a happy ending. I had transition and Varilux lenses which was more expensive if I got it from my doctor so it saved me a lot of money. But I've gone to another website for frames and all the websites have a lot more current and up-to-date looking frames than I see in 39DollarGlasses.com. I also heard from other people that they’re not usually pleased with the selection of the women’s frames unless you get the wired one since they are basic so the selections could be better.

I tried 39 Dollar Glasses years ago and have bought glasses from them ever since. I brag them up everywhere. I thought the last pair I bought looked goofy but everyone is complimenting me on it. And if people compliment me, I like it so they must be my favorite pair now. I’ve also been using their titanium flexi-framed glasses for my bifocals and I’ve had nothing but praise for them. It's a heck of a product. But I wish that when the glasses come to me, they wouldn't require that I take them to an optician to get them to fit. Sometimes they’re twisty. They really look like a large person sits on them before they ship them.
My eye doctor actually sells glasses and they don’t really care for me to bring back a pair from 39 Dollar Glasses to fit to me. The lady who does the fitting for me is the consummate professional. She would tell you with a beaming face that she loves her job. But it would be less embarrassing if I could just wear the glasses. The good news is 39 Dollar Glasses ships the little screwdriver things with the kit. I've bought six pairs of cheap glasses to wear for reading and computer purposes so I got five, interestingly, of those little kits in there. The last time I went back to my optician, I took four of those little kits with me as bribery and she was so happy. She loved the kit. So basically, I could trade the kit for fitting.
Zenni has also changed the website a bit and when they did, they lost all of my old data. I think they really treat you better when they see that you’re a veteran. But the gals from customer service couldn't find it and it was like I was a brand-new customer. Then I had seen a special that offered a 15% discount on my next purchase but I didn’t click that ad. I came straight to 39 Dollar Glasses and put in my measurements. Of course, I didn’t get the discount and I canceled it. I wasn’t aware what I did wrong to get the 15% and at some point I gave up on wrestling with it all. I figured I could always call them.
I got one of their reps and Tiffany not only helped me wrangle the discount thing, but she also did an adjustment on the order so I didn’t have to. She found my old records and has been my go-to person ever since. She’s everything you would want in customer service. But the people who give the worst customer service typically get the raise. The reason is that they take more calls because they’re giving crappy service. I would feel badly for the good people. Tiffany is probably one of their lower rate people because she actually sticks in the crap the others did. I actually looked up Zenni for the first time between the first two people I talked to and her. But I didn’t order glasses from them because she called me first and she fixed the experience.

Their online purchase process was very easy and the first few pairs I got were shipped really fast. My second order has not arrived yet but I only ordered it about a week ago, so I'd give it a couple more days before I check on it.
I also had a few phone calls with their customer service which were really nice. I called them last week and told them that one of the handles of one of the glasses I got from them locked. I bought them last November and only wore them twice. Everything was cheap and it just came apart. I didn't really have time to explain or go back to everything and I needed a new pair of sunglasses so their rep said that they'd repair it for a year. She sent me a printable invoice to have the glasses sent back and have it replaced. Now I have another to wear again. Other than that, 39 Dollar Glasses is great and I have no problems with them.

I've placed three orders total with 39 Dollar Glasses, and my first round was just for the price. At $40, I wouldn't be out a lot of money if they turned out to be lousy. And then, I came back for a second purchase about a year later, and then two years after, I bought prescription sunglasses and a pair of glasses at the same time. So, I've got four products total out of three orders and everything's been very quick. The first two times I ordered with them, they had a function through their website where you upload a photo, place the frame and post it on your face. That was good in terms of figuring out which glasses would work best. This last time, they didn't have that service running, so I contacted them and they were really nice about it. They said that function was being rebuilt. So, it was more difficult this last time because I was ordering the glasses blind. But they do have a way you can print a true-to-size PDF of the frame, and I did that for all of my orders.

Last month, having placed an order for 2 pair of glasses and inquiring as to the status/ship date for these, Thomas **, Contact Lens Department Coordinator very quickly provided me the information AND upgraded the shipping method. We received both pair (Iowa) 2 days later! I never expected that and had to believe that since NY was under like the 3rd or 4th winter storm, the weather had something to do with the slight delay in completing the order. My brother’s wife had bought something from 39dollarglasses.com and she gave me the website. I liked the price. I broke my glasses and I was looking at a minimum of $350 and $129 sounded a whole lot better. I tried to order online, but I didn’t really understand it. I had my prescription, but I didn’t know what the numbers and the abbreviations meant, so I got the phone number from the website and called and they walked me through the steps. I was only on hold for four minutes. And the representative was very helpful. There was only one thing on my prescription that I didn’t understand and they wrote it a different way than the way what she was asking me for. But it was the only number that was left, so we figured that had to have been it. And the glasses worked.
I've already recommended 39dollarglasses.com to other people. I'm not really thrilled about having plastic frames, but for the price, I can't really complain. The ones that I had were metal and being in construction, I take my new ones off and I put them in the case and stick them in my pocket all the time because I'm terrified that they're going to break. They should have more longevity.

I ordered my glasses 3 weeks ago. They advertise their glasses to ship out 2-7 business days. Well, 2 weeks later, I heard no update. I called up the company to inquire about the status of my order. They then informed me that my glasses failed their final inspection and that they were remaking them again. Told me that they would expedite the process. A week later, still no update. I called up again with my complaint. The agent was rude. "Well, tough luck. You just need to wait." was their basic response. I asked if they would do something like give a discount or something to make me happy. I was responded with the same rude voice "Well, maybe. For your next order" (as if I will ever use this company again because of this horrible customer service?).
I asked to speak to the supervisor. The agent responded "Ok, but you will need to wait till the end of the day when he has the time to call you." At that point, I was speechless. 4 days later, the status of my order was still pending, NO UPDATE! I called up again reluctantly, very frustrated, the agent told me their computer system was down and asked if I could call up later or tomorrow. I asked to talk to the supervisor. Then she hang up on me.

I googled cheap glasses online and came across a couple of other ones but they weren’t actually that cheap. They were rather expensive and their selection was a little different from 39 Dollar Glasses. I needed a pair of glasses quickly so I went to 39 Dollar Glasses and their website seemed to be very easy. I didn’t have to completely sign into it or download a whole bunch of information. They weren’t trying to push you to put a picture of yourself on there so you could see your glasses. It was an option that was there but they didn’t push it. That was why I stuck with them.
Their website is user-friendly, very easy and really simple to maneuver through. As long as you have the correct information from your eye doctor and you copy it directly onto there, it’s pretty good. But at one point, their shipping took a little longer than I anticipated. My prescription is a little more complicated and the glasses style that I ordered wasn’t fit for that. It took them a little extra time to get somebody in there to do it the right way. That was exactly what they explained to me and I accepted that and they still got me the glasses that I wanted. As a matter of fact, because it took that long, they shipped them express for free. The glasses were perfectly done too.
That was the only thing I had a little problem with. Otherwise, they were very smooth and easy. On top of that, they have a wide selection at incredibly cheap prices. That was really surprising. The last time I bought a pair of reading glasses and a pair of sunglasses, the bill was less than $100. So far, we've bought six pairs of glasses in total from there now. We also ordered some driving glasses for my daughter recently. I love this company and I have recommended them several times.

I'm always in the market for glasses with no nose pads and the longest arms possible (greater than 140mm if possible). No nose pads usually means plastic frames. This leaves me two selections in about two or three different colors each on 39dollarglasses.com. I live overseas most the year, so returning something that malfunctions is usually not an option for me. The first pair of glasses was one of their "Clark" plastic frames that the plastic felt so brittle, I was scared to open or close them or do anything other than lightly set them on my face and never use them anywhere except at my desk. The prescription was excellent though. Sure enough, in less than a year, both arms broke off with the minimalist of pressure. The hinge mounts broke right out of the plastic.
I ended up drilling a hole where the hinge mounts ripped out and using zip ties for hinges. I think these will still work in a pinch. The second pair was the "Stuyvesant" plastic frames. These were similar price but much better quality. Once again, perfect prescription. However, the hinges came super tight to where you were afraid to open and close them AND they came bent so bad that when you set them on the desk one arm was literally about an inch off the desk. When you put them on your face, it looked like you'd been punched in the face and your glasses were all cockeyed. However, I fixed them as best I could and still use them to this day as a backup pair.
Since all their plastic frame selections were like something Buddy Holly would wear and not very good quality. I decided to use their re-lensing service from here on out and just buy frames elsewhere or use my older frames... The first pair I re-lensed was a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses. Excellent prescription once again. The only negative thing I have to say about them is that the frames were curved and so the lens they found to put in them pops out somewhat easy when you're cleaning them, but overall I'm happy with it. I'm using them now. However, it feels like I've cleaned them so much the prescription has started to change or something. They aren't scratched. The Stuyvesants don't have this issue and just seem more clear at this point.
Last but not least, I sent them a pair of Oakley Servo XLs (larger version of Oakley Servo, but much harder to find) and all was well. However, when I got them back, my prescription had slightly changed and it was way off. I could kind of see, but was like I was looking through a coke bottle bottom. I could really only see what was about three feet in front of me and nothing else... And it felt like the earth was spinning when I turned my head. So, they graciously RMAed them for me with a return label and everything. However, after four weeks my glasses are still MIA. So, I emailed support and ask where they are. I was told they will be QAed next week and in the mail. No problem. When the end of "next week" rolls around, I was told, "Unfortunately your frame has broken during production and was discarded in error." What? I thought they were in QA?
They refunded my order, but I am out the $100+ for the Oakleys. Somewhere in that conversation is a lie or more on their part. I was offered one of their frames for free. However, I feel their frames are mostly worthless in my size... and in general. Customer support sent half-baked replies too. That might have been the issue with the Oakleys. However, I sent my prescription along with the order so they would hopefully give me what I need in case I chose the wrong thing. So much for that idea. In the future, I will just harass them until I know exactly what I need to choose during the checkout process. I can't say I will rule them out completely in the future, but I'm going to shop around first rather than going straight to them. I'm somewhere between two and three stars, dissatisfied and satisfied.

And a week to three weeks later, your glasses arrive. I recently bought two pairs of glasses for my daughter, and I bought another extra pair for me. The more features that you put on it, the longer it takes to be shipped. This time, I just ordered basic glasses so I got them within three or four days. This most recent time, I went with a backup pair of reading glasses for my daughter. They're super cute and she loves them. I also like the anti-scratch and anti-glare coating of the lenses. Plus I got them a day before they said they would be there.
A few years ago, I had to return a pair of glasses because they did not look good on my face. I was able to call them, get the information for the return and return the glasses. They were able to use the lenses that were in the wrong glasses and cut them to fit the new glasses, so there wasn’t any additional charge for that. And then they shipped them back to me in a timely manner, which was great. 39 Dollar Glasses is quick and efficient. They're also cheap and they have lots of selections. Before, it took forever to get to them, then I had to email. But now, they have people manning the phone, so business must be good. They can afford to do that now, which is great. They also improved the shipping time frame which now takes 10 days. They really turn it around quick now, which they never used to do, though it was never bad.
One time, I sent back a pair of glasses because the prescription came in wrong. I called them because the default was a certain number. Apparently, I didn't put in the number and it defaulted to their number, which didn’t seem that far apart. Still, it wasn’t right. But it wasn’t their fault as they didn’t have all the information. They sent me a pre-paid postage return and I was told that they could give me a credit form or they'd make them over or make me something else, whatever I wanted. I had several problems ordering new glasses. All turned out to be my fault. This is how 39DollarGlasses dealt with them. 1st problem - Couldn't order online. Discovered later that my HSA (healthcare savings acct) visa that I seldom use was expired. I called customer service for help. Talked to David. David is friendly, professional, great to joke with. Actually one of the most enjoyable experiences ordering something online. 39Dollar doesn't appear to outsource their customer service. All are employees. All top notch as you'll read below.
2nd problem - Receive ticket for expired drivers license, thus the time pressure to receive. Worse, old eyeglass prescription was so old, my eyesight was better with no glasses than my 5 yr old ones. Asked David if they could complete order in the 2-4 days claimed to be typical on website. Yes! Called on the 4th day morning and talked to Tiffany. Asked for status. She said they SHOULD ship today; glasses are in final inspection. Me: I need shipping TODAY, even if they fail inspection. I can live with lens scratch, slightly off prescription, etc. I'll buy another pr that's perfect later. She couldn't guarantee shipping today but felt they would after talking to Production Manager. They understand the importance and will do everything they can. I crossed my fingers and prayed. I called again an hour before closing. Yes, they have shipped. I received the glasses the next day as promised.
3rd problem - Went to drivers license bureau the day after. Passed the vision test for left eye, both eyes, but not the right. Good enough for Texas but I wanted to find out what was wrong before ordering another pr. Was it the prescription? The glasses? I entered info wrong? Something else? Went to optometrist who checked prescription and tested corrected eyesight again. Also checked lenses. Everything perfect except one thing: the glasses were too small for my face. This resulted in the center of the right lens being too high for my pupil. Has to be centered to work right.
Called 39Dollar and talked to Thomas. He said they guarantee their glasses. Gave me an RMA and issued a Prepaid postage label to return. Said they will remake. I said, "It's not your fault. I didn't realize I have such a big fat head. I ordered the wrong glasses. I need a bigger size." Thomas says, "Not a problem; just note that with the return." They'll make new glasses, new frames, even with new prescription. Everything at no cost to me. "Wow, that's great, but again, it's my fault; not yours. You don't have to do that. I'll buy another pr; keep these for backup." Response: "No, a different pr is not a problem. This is what we do." Unbelievable customer service. This place is amazing! Everyone I talked to is like one of the best customer service people I've ever talked to in my life. I don't know how this company finds employees, trains them and keeps them motivated but I am super impressed. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

39 Dollar Glasses have the best prices and so far, I've ordered 20 times from them. I've been ordering from them for years and I usually have a good experience. Their process has been getting a little easier and it's nice because you have an account set up, then you can check your latest prescriptions. So, you don't need your prescription slip right in front of you and you always have your prescription on hand. Then, when you change the prescription, it automatically updates. The glasses I got from them are good quality, too, and they get delivered pretty fast. They've made so many glasses for me and my prescription hasn't changed that much, so maybe they have their thing already set up for me
They have good customer service as well. If they did something incorrect on the glasses, they send you a return label and you send it right back. Then, they fix it and send you another pair which usually takes less than two weeks. When people tells me they like my glasses, I say that I bought them online and I give the 39 Dollars Glasses website. The next time I see them, they have a pair of my glasses on.

I’ve been ordering from 39 Dollar Glasses for the last three years. I purchased glasses and sunglasses prescription. The first time I used them, they got the order right. Initially, they made my glasses wrong. They put the wrong pupillary distance in there. And before they sent them off, they fixed their issue, and called me back, and told me that there is going to be delay in the glasses which was fine. It took extra week and a half for me to get my glasses. But right when they found out, they did it right. They didn’t send me something wrong.
They had good customer service. They were open about their policies and their price was really cheap. That was the best. I was able to get two pairs instead of one for my price essentially. Also, they have a good return policy. But the process isn’t exactly the best. I’m not too fast to move forward. But if you were, you will kind of want to be able to put the glasses on yourself, and try them out. So, it’s just like ordering anything online, where you never really know. You can read the dimensions but you’d never really know what it’s going to look like on your face.
Also, I’ve had a nose piece fall off. And I wear the glasses so much, I want to have the flexible hinges. The first order I ever got from them didn’t have flexible hinges on them. And so, now I have to make sure that they do. Even so, the glasses from 39 Dollar Glasses are high-quality products. I’m a marine engineer, and I’m blind as a bat, and I wear them 24/7 including in the shower. The only time I’m not wearing them is when I’m going to bed. I’ve already recommended 39 Dollar Glasses to people. I have told people about it but they are hesitant about buying things online.

I have been buying from $39 Glasses since I first heard about them years ago. This last order went a bit sideways, partially due to my misunderstanding an online special. The short version is this - I called in, spoke to a representative, tried to show them the advert I'd responded to, but couldn't quite get that accomplished. I called back and spoke with a lady named Tiffany - she knew about the advert I'd seen, found my old records of previous purchases, answered all of my questions, offered some good advice, and saved the day. As much as I like online shopping, when things don't go quite right, it's nice to know that there's someone like Tiffany to wave a magic wand and make it all work out.

I have been buying glasses for my kids from 39 Dollar Glasses for a long time. They have good deals occasionally. Last week, I got my son two pairs. I needed to get him new glasses for his new prescription on his eyes and the ones I got were at $15 off for each pair. Their ordering process is fine. And although I understand that they have to make them, their shipping, unless you expedite it, seems slow. I repair BMW and Mercedes cars and I could get stuff from Europe if I have to within a week. It shouldn't take long to get stuff with the technology that we've got.
Other than that, when I call their customer service reps and talk to them, they take the prescription information and everything is cut and dry. I never had any issues. Overall, it's good to deal with 39 Dollar Glasses and I'd recommend them. I've seen cheaper prices that were advertised. But since I've dealt with 39 Dollar Glasses for a long time, I have more understanding about the quality I get from them. So I'll stick with them even though sometimes people try to use price to blur you away.

I have been a client of 39dollar for over 7, perhaps 8 years now. To date, every single shopping experience has been my pleasure. Quality products, timely delivery, great service... NOTE: I had problem & personally broke a frame. Even though I'd had the goods for well over a year? 39 sent me a replacement immediately & at no cost, not even postage! Who does that? And for these prices? Shucks, Some pizza dinners cost more than their great glasses!
Lastly & of paramount importance, the entire staff with whom I have dealt have been in a word, TREMENDOUS! Notably & measurably Today, I thoroughly enjoyed dealing w/ Tiffany. She was lovely, a delight & listened patiently for both my needs and my bad jokes. She knew her products, prices & additionally got me a 15% discount. In this crazy, meshuggah world in which we live those who do extraordinary work do not get their due consideration, IMO. Tiffany well deserves kudos & plaudits for a job well done. I'm in the military, active duty, and they only allow us two pairs per year. But in the work that I have, two pairs do not last. That's why I select a company that has glasses that are not so expensive and I find those with 39 Dollar Glasses. The ordering process is very easy. You select your frame, and then you select your glasses or prescription. As long as you have your prescription information, everything's good to go. And while some of the frames break easily, it's still fair quality. It's better compared to what you can find in other places. And for me, they are good as any expensive glasses. The price at 39 Dollar Glasses is very reasonable, but I would appreciate some kind of military discount.

At first, I was afraid to order two glasses for the price of one because I’ve never dealt with an online glass service like 39 Dollar Glasses before. But I found that everything was very, very good. Once I figured out the filter system, it was easy to order. While everything went well, there was a little hitch when they required me to change the password two different times while trying to order online. I called it in and the girl said that it was a momentary problem. Additionally, I've had bifocals before with a line, and it takes a little while to get used to progressive lenses without a line. I found that it took five seconds and it was that fast. It was very good so I went back to order a second pair and I tried to pit in a smaller bridge and a little shorter temple but it came up with no selection.
Other than that, their website should have more direction right at the beginning because I have looked at a couple of 39 Dollar Glasses' competitors and right off the bat, it came in with a little thing that is using a one-line screen and it lets you have everything custom-made. Once that was understood, it would be very easy. at that point. Overall, I would hate to get in a football game and have glasses on from 39 Dollar, but they're good quality. If I break them, I could get another pair for the same price, and the two of them together would still beat what I would have to pay at the store.

39 Dollar Glasses was advertised somewhere and I went and looked at it, and I’ve been ordering from them ever since. I've tried a lot of other eyewear companies and 39 Dollar Glasses is more consistent, and their customer service has been really good. I've got three different prescriptions there -- mine, my wife’s and my daughter's, and we've never had any issues with their glasses or with other frames. Mine are more wire-frame, my wife likes rimless or semi-rimless and my youngest daughter likes the black thick ones. The glasses usually stand up as long as we keep track of them and I've never had a frame failed that I know. We usually wait about a week for shipping, or anywhere between five to 10 days, before it's in on hand, and they've always come in.
This time around, I bought the blue coating to see how that works out. But usually, when I buy single wear or even a bi-focal, I make sure they have anti-glare on all of them and that has been good. My daughter had a pair of frames she wanted to put lenses in one time so I called 39 Dollar Glasses and the customer service rep said, "Send them to us and we'll get the lenses matched up." They charged us and my daughter was happy.
I know everybody wants cheaper prices and free shipping but companies have to make a living or else, they won't be in business. If 39 Dollar Glasses stays on track doing what they're doing, we're still happy. We've gone to Mobile Optics and Zenni Optical, and 39 Dollar Glasses is just as competitive. But since 39 Dollar Glasses gives you a credit every time you buy a set of glasses, that helps me a lot coming back to them. Even if it's a couple of dollars or so, it's still better than nothing. It’s been an easy experience with them and I've recommended many people.

I've continued to order from 39 Dollar Glasses because of the processing but it has been a little bit more difficult the last two times that I have purchased from them. I made a mistake in the prescription so I sent an email and they said that it was noted and they asked me to send the glasses. The also asked me to include an invoice with the order.
However, the invoice has some but not all of the data that was provided in the prescription and there were things in the prescription wherein I put comments underneath which were not on the invoice. The significant one was the addition of a prism and the second was that the lenses had been marked for precision by an optician. Those comments should've been included in the invoice because the glasses are going to go to some technician and I'm concerned that the information that he'll see is the information on the invoice and the invoice didn't include my comments. However, they send back my priority mail so shipping time is not a significant factor. It's the question of how quickly they can process the order. They have the schedule but they have to make the glasses. Still, I've recommended them.

39 Dollar Glasses is a reasonable way to get a pair of glasses that are somewhat stylish. I can have a driving pair, a reading pair, and a pair that I use when I'm exercising. I could use it on my counter and if I leave it someplace, I'm not worried about whether they're going to get stepped on, damaged or sat on. But the fact of the matter is I've never had a breakage with them. They last an average of five years so I'm very pleased with them. I had a friend that went through 39 Dollar Glasses and said it was really good. I decided to give it a try since I was spending a lot of money on glasses and I wanted to find something more affordable. I've been ordering from them for the last four years and it's worked out well. But I noticed that the ordering process for the eye contacts is different now, and it's a little frustrating. For the glasses, I usually don't have a problem. I’ve had to call customer service once when I got the wrong size, and they were great. They explained how to make the return and I was able to send it back. They then sent me a new pair. I tried another company last year and it ended up being really bad. They kept sending me the wrong prescription for both eyes. So, I went back to 39 Dollar Glasses.
I get a variety of glasses from them, and I like the website because everything’s cheap and I usually get promo codes through my email. And I’ve gone with big glasses, rectangular ones, or depends on what I see and like. The delivery has been pretty quick. I usually have them mailed to my office. This past week, I had the glasses mailed to my home address and it got here fine with no issues. I recommend 39 Dollar Glasses to everybody.

I bought a pair of glasses for my son from 39 Dollar Glasses. He needed a sturdy type of frame instead of a weaker wire and no frame glasses. I sent them the primary information regarding the lens strength and the prescription, got online, looked at the frames that they had to offer and I was very pleased. I liked the convenience. Their customer service was very good as well. When I called them up just to order another pair, I told them that the lens of the glasses I ordered fell out. The rep that I talked to said they would send me a replacement pair for free and I just had to return the other, so I was really happy.
I have made four purchases from them and it was at least a year and a half ago that my son got his first order. He lost a pair and damaged another, but the $39 was considerably less than what I would pay if I went to another company. In addition to that, I always received my glasses within one week of ordering and it depends on when they actually make them at the plant. One time, my order got put in that very day and I got them in four days, so I was impressed. There might be other companies that sell similar products for a similar price, but I’m 100% satisfied with what I have. I would recommend their product to anyone.

I purchased glasses in March. Frames broke where the plastic rim is attached to the nose crossbar. The plastic cracked around the screw head. They replaced the glasses in June. Replaced frames cracked and broken in the same place in October. Their policy is to only replace frames once, but this obviously is a defective frame design, not wear or abuse. Glasses not even lasting a year? Beware!

39 Dollar Glasses has a lot of styling and good pricing. I’ve ordered about 20 times from them. I get the peepers for reading and I need a slight distance correction. Recently, I got the photo gray lens. It’s about three times the price if I get it somewhere else. Plus, you can get them within a week if you order. They’re fast and the guarantee is a good perk.
I've got the Wind Jammer model and it has the fish line which holds the lens on the bottom. I wasn’t too happy with that because I need to order some more again. I sat down and the lens popped out but I have seen on YouTube how you can reinsert them with a ribbon and pull on the string and pop the glass back in. So, now I know how to do it. But I had to send them back one time because I couldn't get the lens back in. You have to be delicate and cautious with it. I set them down in my car and the feet and the little cushion and the lens pop out. You need a hard case because a little bump will pull the lens out but I’m better now. That’s the nature of that style but 39 Dollar Glasses made it simple to return them. They gave me a number and it was free shipping.
I bought the photo lens again because you buy one and get it at half the price. So, I went for two of them. It's a better deal. At first, I bought sunglasses and then I bought the clear lens. I also have the Vancouver model which is good up close. I like 39 Dollar Glasses and that's the only place I would buy from. I'm happy with them and I like them because they’re good value and there's no risk. If you're not happy you can return them and you can't beat the price.

I previously ordered some glasses for myself and my grandson. I've checked out other companies that offer glasses online too but I seem to be sticking with 39 Dollar Glasses. I have ordered at least six different pairs of glasses from them, including amber-tinted lenses for reading at night on my Kindle and we're very pleased with them. I've also thought about getting computer classes but I had not seen online where they do computer glasses so I was going to contact them to find out if they do computer glasses.
Three weeks ago, I ordered my husband some single vision glasses. He wanted a larger blue frame but when I put in the eye thing, I mistakenly put in a minus 1.0 when it should have been a plus 1.0. I contacted them and they fixed it right away. I emailed them with the correction and then I called them because I know they move fast and I wanted to make sure they got the information. The rep corrected it right over the phone for me and I got a confirmation email of the new, updated order with the correct prescription. The email and the phone communication were excellent. Everything went smoothly with the fix that was made. There is very fast delivery on the glasses too and he's had his new glasses for about a week now.
I wish some of their frames were a little bit more substantial but that’s okay. I like that the arms and glasses have that little spring out. They’re not just flat so it's less likely to break. It’s a good feature too, especially for a less expensive eyeglass. I also like that you don’t pay extra for the polycarbonate lens. The glasses come with the polycarbonate lens which is lighter. I think it also automatically includes scratch resistance too. The experience has been extremely positive and the customer service is great. I’d recommend them to other people.

I was looking online for cheaper glasses when I stumbled upon 39dollarglasses.com. When I called, they were able to help me. I live not so far from them. It was very good. It was very easy for me to reach them with the local number. They have the 800-number but I didn’t have to go through a bunch of “press this, press that”. They are really away from that system. I ordered only once but I wanna do it again. Last time, I needed care badly and I wanted to close within two days. They delivered to me while there was a snowstorm. I was surprised. They were very quick.
I got two pairs of eyeglasses from them. One has the anti-glare, the other didn't have one. When I was in a hurry, my glasses were badly broken. I’m going to get another one with both anti-glare. One thing they should have though are clip-on sunglasses. I had Sunny Optical a couple of years ago and they have clip-on sunshades for $6. Apart from that, I told people that this is such a good deal. I’m very much satisfied. The reps were so people-friendly. They should advertise it because people could save money. We go to spend $200-$300, especially the kids. I’m very happy with their customer service plus everything on how they dealt with their customers in providing their products.

Updated on 4/28/2020: Hello. My name is Jay **. (John is my official first name). I have been buying glasses and sunglasses from $39 glasses for 4/5 years. I have always been impressed with your level of service including customer care, follow-up information and overall communications and support. I am a semi-retired single guy living in Boulder, CO. I was a marketing professional most of my career but when a series of surgeries made getting around difficult, I took a job doing tech support for IBM. I bring this up just to let you know I understand the importance of quality customer service.
I am specifically referring to the quality of customer care Stephanie B. demonstrated. Stephanie was patient, professional and beyond compassionate while walking me thru the options I had with some glasses I had ordered. She explained $39glasse’s “make-it-right” program I had the option of trying out 5 frames, selecting my favorite pair and then having those glasses made with my prescription all for the same price I had paid for the original order.
I could go on and on about Stephanie’s patience and kindness, her professionalism coupled with her knowledge- but I’m betting you already know what an awesome employee Stephanie is. Kudos to you and your company! I seldom go this far to let a company know about a specific employee but I felt compelled. If there is anyone else I could contact to assure Stephanie gets the credit, (and raise?), she deserves, please let me know. Give that gal a raise!! Jay

Hi Andy,
We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with your order. When requesting an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), it will also include a prepaid postage return label (Domestic First-Class U.S. Mail). However, the label wouldn't be sufficient since you're outside of the U.S.
As per our Worry Free Warranty,"For a full refund to your original payment method, you must contact us to request an RMA within 30 days of the original delivery date. Refunds can only be issued after we have received the original merchandise back, and will be issued in line with your warranty coverage and minus any discounts given on the original order."
According to your order information, we see that you did NOT order multi-focal lenses, and so the 30% restocking fee wouldn't apply to this order. We apologize if you were given incorrect information and we will certainly review all communication you had with our representative. If your return is received within 30 days, you're entitled to a FULL refund.
If possible, please forward a copy of your prescription to contact@39dollarglasses.com.

We’ve had a great experience with 39 Dollar Glasses. I ordered a blue pair and a green pair for my grandson and we’ve been happy. The blue pair was defective and he only had them for two weeks. I called 39 Dollar Glasses and they sent me another frame and they said there’s a video on how to put it in. I was impressed and the guy I dealt with was great. He understood that we only had the glasses for a couple of weeks.
The first time I ordered them, I found the ones that I knew my grandson liked and was very similar to glasses that were $250. I went ahead and ordered those because he as a habit of laying down his glasses and forgetting where he laid them. It was easy to order and there were plenty of little glasses for me to look at. I like that I had them within two weeks. It’s fast or faster than the eye doctor. I’m satisfied with 39dollarglasses.com. I told my husband that I’ve been happy with it. The next time we go to the eye doctor, I’m just going to get my prescription and let 39dollarglasses.com fill it. My daughter also needs another pair of glasses and I told her to get her prescription and then we’ll order them.
I’ve been telling everybody not to pay $250 for a kid’s glasses. Other glasses are flimsy and would break if my grandson happens to pull them off his head wrong. 39 Dollar Glasses are very good glasses and my grandson has a pair that are called Tadpoles. Also, I wanted to look through the glasses at the website and see if 39dollarglasses.com has the goggle ones for my grandson to use when he plays soccer. A lot of people have little ones and I got tired of paying the high prices that optometrists want.

I asked, "You should have called me if there was a glitch, I could have changed it." She said, "We were not notified." I got so pissed off. "Why should I suffer if it was your system mistake?" Guess what she has done was laughed. She literally laughed and I asked, "Are you seriously laughing?" She said yes.
I said, "I need to talk to your supervisor." She said, "No you cannot now. They would call whenever you can. I do have the recording of the call." After some time someone called from customer service. He said, "We will process the order again and it will take another 7 business days. And will give only $30 refund for the blue coating..." This made me so outrageous that I should not order from them again and made me to put this review. If you like any frame these people take a note of the frame name and go and buy from somewhere else. Well, that never worked. Nothing ever emailed! As I was doing this, I also started an "online chat", not knowing which way I would get the quickest service as I called also, but was put on hold (15 minutes and counting, they finally picked up the phone and told me they could not help with contacts and I would need to be transferred).
The "chat" line finally responded and told me that they have a new system and all of the previous information (prescription, product ordered, credit card, address etc.) was no longer available. Also, if I wanted to order, I would need to create a new login as a new customer as that information was now gone also. All of this while I'm just trying to buy some contact lens! No one seemed to care that none of their system was working or allow me to login. "Just create a new one"!

The prescription on the printout they sent me did not match the prescription given them--on their own computer account for me! Twice! Their condescension and arrogance is of such a level that I am surprised any company in these times does not know they cannot behave like that.

In July we got a letter from 39dollarglasses advising us they had a security issues and our information had been taken. This happens. What was the kick in the pants was they referred us to a company that would monitor our credit for free for a year. How nice... not really. That company wanted me to put up a credit card, they were not going to charge me since the first year was free. Gets better. I called 39dollarglasses. No one there would even address this issue.
Finally a man named Curtis called. I missed his call by 2 mins. When I called back the office was closed. I called them again the next after waiting for them to be opened over 1/2 the day. Curtis was not nice. He was clueless. He felt since I got the $14,000 taken off my card everything was fantastic. He said the credit monitoring place was not suppose to charge me... for a year... it was free. If it's free why do they need my credit card information? What scam is this company running? Curtis also said he makes all his call backs after business hours so I guess if you miss him, he doesn't make another attempt. Today I received a letter from 39dollarglasses.com which stated my credit card information MAY have been stolen. Back in March of this year I had noticed several fraudulent charges on a credit card I very seldom use. In fact the only time I had used it was when I purchased a pair of glasses from your company so I knew the person who stole my card information was connected to your company. I notified your company right away after notifying my credit card company of the situation. I knew that the breach was from your company.
I expected some sort of reply back but got nothing. No note of acknowledgment, not one peep. I suspect you were wanting to sweep this under the rug. I guess it got much bigger than you had hoped and perhaps the credit card companies began to question the security of your site. Now your letter says that the person who stole the information is an "unknown individual" and you became aware of it in June? Bullcrap. You were made aware of this long before then. You chose either not to act or at least ignore my correspondence. Of course it wouldn't be anybody that YOU had hired. It had to be some issue with an unsecured site, eh? I would advise everyone to avoid using this site to purchase anything. Unresponsive and highly suspicious of having credit and identity stolen.

Ordering from 39DollarGlasses.com was fairly easy. I have already ordered from them at least a dozen times. I buy glasses from them. I’ve also tried buying sunglasses but it seemed that the prescription needs to be different for sunglasses and I didn’t realize that. So I just ate the 60 bucks that it cost instead of sending them back. I’ve also had trouble knowing exactly how well they’re going to fit or how heavy the pair of glasses is, which are things that you don’t get when you check them on the store and try them on. I’ve done the cheapest and most expensive glasses and liked the quality of the most expensive options best. I'd recommend 39DollarGlasses.com.

We had been buying glasses locally and expensively. Then my sister-in-law told us about 39DollarGlasses.com and when we saw their prices, we went for it. I've bought about eight pairs and my husband has eight glasses too, in different sizes. Ordering is a fairly easy and they're also delivered quickly within five to seven days. On top of that, when we reorder, a lot of times they’re $10 less than we thought so they must be giving us some credits from how many we order and that's pretty special. We don't have to search around for a coupon and it's right there when we order.
The service has been awesome too. For the last two glasses I ordered, the prescription came back all wrong. They had put a negative instead of a plus and I was able to send them back for free. They fixed it right away and I got a replacement. Even with my husband, the glass came off the frame on his progressive lenses. That's his really expensive pair and he absolutely loves them. And customer service was able to talk him through ordering a new frame and he was able to put it back together.
The products have been pretty awesome as well. Anything that has gone wrong with mine has just been due to abuse as far as not keeping them in their case. I also fall asleep with my glasses because they’re prescription reading and I roll over on them, but I've never had a pair break ever. We've been ordering from them for at least five years now and the experience always has been easy.

I went with 39 Dollar Glasses since I don't wear my glasses except for to drive at night, so it seems senseless to pay $500 for a pair of glasses. My husband also has transition ones from them and he has three other pairs. I really like the quality so far. It's been a wonderful experience overall.

My experience with 39 Dollar Glasses turned out good. I ordered two pairs of progressive and bifocal glasses online and doing so was easy. However, I goofed up the first order. They looked good up in the showroom but weren't so good at home with the computer and TV. Then one of the pairs fell and broke, and when the second ones came in, they were perfect. I could read again. When I sent in the doctor paperwork, 39 Dollar Glasses fixed what didn’t work the first time. I have two good pairs and I'm happy with both of them particularly their looks. They fit my face pretty well.

I do a lot of research and any time you go on the internet, you take a chance. I took a chance with 39 Dollar Glasses and I was actually quite pleased. The service was really, really good. It was very professionally put up too. I got reading glasses for my mother because she can’t go to the store and get the regular prescription because one eye is different from the other. That was the only reason why we didn’t just go to the pharmacy.
I like the frames at 39 Dollar Glasses. However, a year and a half on, her glasses were all scratched up. I guess when you wear them all the time, that's the wear and tear. She told me she couldn't wear them anymore so I ordered her another two pairs. This second time, I couldn't find my email so I called to order and it was fabulous. I liked the people. The sales rep quickly brought up the order and she was really, really nice. She gave me an even extra special deal so I was really happy about that. It’s a great company with great prices and good products. You can’t ask for better than this. When my mother's glasses die again, I would still order from them.

Needed a pair of backup glasses for my bifocals. Have been really happy with the performance of your Palermo frame but thought I wanted something that had a little bigger lens, so I tried the Phoenix this time. Not nearly as good a fit for me as the Palermo, and the bifocal zone is much bigger than I like. Wish I'd stayed with the Palermo.

A friend that I used to work had said that it was easy to get all three of her girls' glasses for school from 39DollarGlasses.com. She took them to Walmart, got the eyeglass exam and then took the exam in so that’s what I did. On my first order, I wound up purchasing three pairs and returning one. I had a pair of retro-style sunglasses, then I did one with a plastic frame where the bottom is clear and the top is colored, and then I ordered a wire-framed one. It took them a little over a week to get everything done because I have bifocals and I wanted progressive lenses. That's for distance, reading, fine print and real up close for computer screens, so it took a little bit longer but they’re perfect and I love them.
Then I did a couple of emails back and forth with customer service to return the wire-framed one and it was good. They took it right back and after paying a restocking fee, I got my refund. That's about 80 bucks back from the $119 that I spent and that’s awesome because they were progressive so I couldn't really use them anywhere else. It was an awesome experience.

My last Order was in may of 2017. Loved the frames but I can't see correctly with them. I think you got the prescription wrong so I won't be able to wear them. I have loved my purchases in the past though. I am so disappointed. I was really looking forward to wearing them.

I ordered these glasses for reading only. I can see absolutely nothing out of them. No way I can read with them. Wasted money. Very disappointed. I will not be using this service again. I did receive them quickly. Just can't see.

I was more than pleased to have multiple options to pick from and afford multiple frames. I could not have done this anywhere else, the eye doctor would charge me an out of this world price for a minuscule selection of frames. Thank you for helping a college student out.

My old glasses' progressive lens worked very good. My new glasses do not get dark. They get just a little bit shaded but not near enough for driving on a sunny day. The glasses are good otherwise. I'll be ordering another pair soon.
