    Bought a warranty for an Xbox 1 controller through Amazon, Agreement states that warranty covers "normal wear and tear". I contact them after a button broke during normal use of the controller and they tell me it is not covered. After arguing with them, they sent me an email requesting pictures and dragged out the process for no reason. In the end they still denied the claim because somehow normal wear and tear is not covered (contrary to what the user agreement states). It is not worth the time or expense of pursuing it any further. In my experience their warranties are a complete scam and Amazon should not do business with them.

    The warranty that was purchase for the device was our standard protection plan, which does not cover any physical damage to the device. After reviewing the pictures, it seems that the button is broken, which qualifies as physical damage. Unfortunately the warranty that was purchased does not cover broken parts. We do apologize about the inconvenience and we have refunded the warranty.

    Purchased a Samsung 55 inch TV two years back at Costco with 5 yrs warranty. Recently it started giving problems. Had couple of calls with Costco and SquareTrade, and SquareTrade arranged a technician to visit my home for repair. Technician validated and then said, It needs to be replaced as cost of repair may exceed the actual cost of TV. Then started following up with the SquareTrade, they filed my claim and it is approved for replacement.

    Now my concerns... They provided a link for me to choose the replace TV. The options are LG TVs which are 6 series, whereas my TV is a Samsung 7 Series model. I called SquareTrade to check if they can provide a Samsung list as most of my devices (Samsung Mobiles, Samsung Home Theater etc ) are more compatible with Samsung TV. Agent said, the list of TVs are the only options that they can provide based on the availability. Ok, fine.

    I requested if they can look for a Samsung TV. Agent said to keep monitoring the list of TV options so they can update Samsung TVs. All the time the listed TVs are LG models 6 series. Some times they list Samsung TVs 6 series old models for a limited time and then the Samsung TVs will vanish from the list. I kept on monitoring the TV list option for 6 days, and I decided to go with LG. Then list appeared to have a model 60 inch 7 Series and comparable with my Original TV. Felt happy and choose that LG TV to complete the claim process.

    Next day I have received an email saying that the chosen TV is out of stock and replied that they can replace my TV with another Samsung 55 inch 7 Series and they provided Samsung TV model too. Then I called SquareTrade to check if they can provide me the option to choose from the list of TVs again. Agent said, As I have already chosen a TV and they proceeded to the next step with the replacement, they can't provide the list of TV options again. Agent said, the only thing I can do is either Say "YES" or "No" to the Samsung TV they have listed in the email. So SquareTrade landed me in a place, where I can neither choose a TV nor get a TV that I have opted.

    Called Costco customer care to let them know the issue. Costco customer care said, as my COSTCO warranty (2 yrs) just crossed, I could get some help from Stores manager if I talk to him directly. They provided me the details to talk to Costco store manager where I bought the TV. I called Costco manager and he said he will look into the complete details and give me a call back. Two days passed. I did not get any call from Costco. I called again and let the stores know that I need to talk to him. Costco stores said, they will let Stores manager know about my call. Expecting the call, again passed 2 more days. Today I called him again and let a message to him at the stores.

    Questions: When I requested for Samsung models for the replacement in the initial discussion, SquareTrade did not provide me any positive response. When there is no availability, why is LG TV listed as option to select? Is this a trick to let the people choose and land them in a place without any selection option. Whoever is reading this feedback, Please let me know the possible ways that I can escalate this to right people.

    I had to send in my iPhone on 9 separate occasions over the last 10 months. The last time it was repaired was 30 days prior to the end of the warranty (and I expressed my concern over this). Lo and behold, a month and a half after warranty expired, iPhone will not turn on again (which is the same problem that I sent it in for twice before). When I called, they basically said the repair was guaranteed for 30 days. I called more than 30 days after the repair and after warranty expired. I didn't expect that they would do anything, but just the fact that I have sent the phone in for 9 separate issues, I contend that the phone was never fixed.

    When I sent the phone in, they kept sending it back (with no communication otherwise), telling me to turn off the "Find my phone feature", and IT WAS NEVER ON!! Just TERRIBLE customer service, terrible communications, and especially TERRIBLE standing by their work!!! Knowing that THEY repaired the phone 9 times in 10 months says it all. I will NEVER use SQUARETRADE again, and I will be contacting Costco to express my concern over this service provider that they recommend for the electronics they sell to their customers.

    I have four kids all under the age of 10 in my house so I got a SquareTrade warranty on my computer. Buying it was simple and quick, and making the payments was easy. The service is great. I filed a claim and they were very helpful and very understanding. I talked to the vendor who sold me the computer and they were less than helpful, but then once they realized that I had SquareTrade, they patched me through and actually stayed on the line with me. We were able to sort out what needed to be done, and at that point, it was very quick. So, had I called SquareTrade directly right away it would’ve been much quicker.

    Purchased SquareTrade 4 year TV warranty plan 06-14-2013 on a TV that had a 1 year manufacturers warranty. Was told the SquareTrade plan would not take effect until after the manufacturers warranty expires. Manufacturers warranty expired 06-14-2014 so I should be under the SquareTrade warranty period until 06-14-2018. Called yesterday to file a claim and have been told the SquareTrade plan has expired.

    The SquareTrade website contains the following Question and Answer, "How does the manufacturers warranty work with SquareTrade?" Answer, "Like other extended warranties, SquareTrade coverage only begins when the manufacturers warranty ends (typically up to one year from the date of purchase). If there's an issue with your item while the original warranty is still active, your claim will be referred to the manufacturer." Seems pretty clear from that language that my plan is still in effect. SquareTrade refused to honor my claim and when I requested to speak to a supervisor was put on hold and the representative came back to say the supervisor said the plan is expired. I am writing this review to warn others not to be mislead.

    My husband got a warranty on a projector because it was an expensive item. He had to send it back to China to get it fixed, but it's working now. We are still within the one year, so I haven't been able to use SquareTrade yet. But I'm not very happy because they didn't tell us that it was only going to kick in after the manufacturer warranty.

    I got SquareTrade for my tablet when the vendor offered it to me. I just paid it outright. When I needed it I just sent the device out. But when I got it back and they just replaced the screen but the frame was still bent and there were issues with it. They gave me the two-day guaranteed turnaround and that didn't happen. I didn't get it back like a week and a half.

    Then after that they let me know when they send it back in. I said I can't go out without my computer for two weeks of work. So it's kind of a waste of money and it's the last I'm ever going to use it. So I suggest that SquareTrade don't lie about how long the repair is going to take. They have to replace the product if they can't fix it the first time.

    SquareTrade was recommended by Sam’s Club and I got the warranty when I bought the computer. I had a problem with the computer here a few months ago and I called it in and talked to a guy for a long time. Not being able to take my computer to the store and get it fixed, I had to work on the phone and the communication was difficult, but the guy did a good job. He checked the problem out and there was something wrong with my software. And he tried to download the software to my computer and gave me all the instructions. But, my other computer crashed so I didn’t get it done and I never called them back.

    Extended warranty seemed like a good idea at the time. I bought a TV through Sam’s Club and SquareTrade furnished the extended warranty. The TV went kaput, but the manufacturer no longer made that model and they couldn’t find one comparable. When I called SquareTrade, the guy that helped me had fantastic attitude. He put me through the process of finding out if the TV was actually dead. I followed his instructions and he determined that it was dead. He then tried to find out if there was a comparable model they could send me a replacement for, and when there wasn’t then I was cut a check. I was refunded the amount that I paid for it.

    SquareTrade was offered to us at our television's time of purchase. We bought the TV from Costco and felt like it might make sense to get an extended warranty at the time. We had to file a warranty repair on the television. It ended up losing the ability to turn on and off. Sometimes you could turn it on and it wouldn't go off. Sometimes you couldn't turn it on.

    My wife originally called thinking that it was going to be a straightforward warranty claim. We did some internet research and it seemed like it was a known issue for that particular model of Samsung television. We assumed that it was going to be something where we would just give them some basic info. We were within the warranty period and they would just say that they'll send a tech out to fix it. We weren't expecting a replacement. We expected a repair.

    However they asked what we viewed to be leading questions about it. I understand that's partially their job. They need to ask questions that ascertain whether or not we've done certain things. However they needled there on certain points about how we had handled the move that we had gone through even though we had made the point that it had been an issue prior to the move. Effectively and openly they just denied the claim based on the fact that they said that we can't prove that this didn't happen during the move or something to that effect.

    She called them back and said that we have warranties with them on eight pieces of electronic equipment. A good chunk of those are not during the warranty period and I could technically refund them in some cases. Plus we're going to stop buying from the retailers that use them. They became responsive after that and had someone call us. At that point it was fine. I dealt them instead because I understood some of the technical pieces of the issue a little bit better. I was really answering the same questions but I wasn't able to be corralled in because I understood exactly what was going on with it a little bit more. They were okay with it.

    They said that they didn't want to lose our business and that they're going to fix it. Then they sent someone out and fixed it. It was an infuriating experience. We still have outstanding warranties with them now. We're always hoping we never use them. It's frustrating that when we do need to use one they say that they don't necessarily know that we didn't break the thing.

    I'm not necessarily opposed to the idea of using an extended warranty but I would be more on the fence about SquareTrade. It's such a shame that our first touch with them was so bad. But I'll give them credit for a decent recovery and ultimately they did get it fixed. It was just not as streamlined as it could have been and it's not a good experience.

    When I set up the cell phone, I told the cell phone company that I wanted insurance on my phone and they put it to SquareTrade. It was included in my cell phone package so every time I paid my bill, part of that was for the warranty. My grandson dropped my phone and I called my cell phone provider and they gave me the Square Trade's phone number.

    I called them and they shipped out the phone. It was here in about five days and I sent them the phone that my grandson dropped. Their process was very easy. The customer service rep was very nice. However, they transferred me from one person to another. The only issue I had was when I was talking to one of the young men with a really deep accent. I had trouble sometimes with the customer service department because they source those out. You just can’t understand some of them, from my hearing to their accent.

    Getting an extended warranty is absolutely what people should do. It depends on the price but in almost all cases, if you get a two-year warranty, it’s definitely worth doing. For me, it came in very handy because I have a very nice cell phone and it didn’t cost anything other than paying for the warranty. SquareTrade has good manners, they explained everything very nicely and I appreciate that type of customer service.

    Filed a claim in - regards to computer running hot and was told that I would be contacted in 3 to 5 days. I called them and explained that this is a business computer and can't wait that long and was taking it to a local company for repair and was advised to let them know the results. I called them the next day and told them that the repair had been made and the problem was found to be lack of Thermo Paste under the CPU and everything is working fine. The rep gave me a phone number to call to submit my invoice for reimbursement. After contacting SquareTrade I was informed that they do not reimburse for repairs and should have waited to be contacted so they could remotely fix my system. This was a hardware problem not software and was advised that since I already had it fixed they would not reimburse me as they don't reimburse for repairs and since that I had already fixed they would cancel my warranty and refund my money.

    SquareTrade has been very nice, so far. Their warranty has been offered to us and we went with it. However, we thought that the electronic device's power cord stopped working and so we got a new one. But when we plugged it in, the device still didn't work. It's for a nine-year-old and was purchased through a vendor. The warranty was rolled into the price of the product. When I called customer service at SquareTrade, they told me that they would send me something that I can print out and someone would pick up the device and they would send me a new one. I received an email then put aside with all of the other returns. I haven't returned the device yet and it's possible that I can't return it. If the company has a policy and there’s not much that I can do about it, then I have to deal with it since I haven’t done what I'm supposed to do like simply mailing it back in. Other than that, I would recommend them to others.

    I purchased a warranty for my laptop online from SquareTrade.com. When my laptop was broken of course I tried using my warranty. Would you believe I was told-"your warranty is not valid as you should have been able to purchase it. We will send you a full refund." That was November 17, 2017. Today is December 5, 2017 and I still have not received my warranty. When I called to inquire about the refund I was told, "we did our part and submitted the refund, it is not our fault the card number is no longer valid."

    Today, I tried to get the bank manager to contact SquareTrade to get information regarding the refund and she could not get through to "Amar" at extension **. Long story short... I still have not received a refund on something I apparently could not use in the first place. I could really use that refund to go towards the purchase of a new laptop!!!! Unfortunately I do not have a claim number but I do have a Plan ID# **. I know I have been rude but I'm only rude when they are rude to me. No one seems to understand that I have not received a refund and I cannot use my warranty.

    Well, I used to like Square Trade and have purchased many over the years. No more. On November 13 I opened a claim for an Xbox 360 that had a drink spilled into it. I was sent a FedEx 2 day shipping label to send it from California to New York to be repaired. On 11/22 I received an email that my repaired Xbox was being sent back to me. It was delivered on 11/27. I was at home and immediately unpacked it and plugged it in. When I pressed the power switch it would glow green for about a second then go out. I tried to plug it into multiple outlets and the same thing always happened.

    My frustration is in part because the console wasn't properly tested. I received instructions saying that the new Main Board had a different serial number than the console was expecting so I would need to go into settings and add it. Obviously I never got that far, but it adds to my feeling that the console wasn't properly tested before being sent back to me. A component was deemed to have failed and that component was replaced, but the whole thing wasn't properly tested.

    I immediately called Square Trade to find a resolution. I was told that the only resolution was for me to send the Xbox back across the country. Frustrated, I waited several days and called again on Friday 12/1. I attempted to talk to a supervisor but was unable to. So, I awaited a shipping label so I could send the Xbox back. What I received instead was an email saying that Square Trade would ship me a box, a shipping label and return instructions.

    I immediately called back and told the poor Customer Service Rep what had happened. He was confused because boxes are usually sent only for laptops. I told him I had been on the phone for 20 minutes and they clearly knew it was a gaming console. He put me on hold for a while, eventually coming back to tell me that they would email a shipping label but it would take 24 hours. So, I couldn't even ship the Xbox back. Did a label come on Saturday - no. Sunday - no. A label finally came on Monday and I immediately printed it and took the package to UPS, not looking closely at the label.

    Today, I see that unlike the initial FedEx 2 day service, this shipment was UPS Ground and my XBox isn't scheduled to arrive in New York until 12/11. I will changed who I purchase this type of item from and I will not buy Square Trade coverage again. I will buy from a local retailer that offers a one-time replacement instead. Square Trade - you used to be easy to work with. No longer. Maybe you should consider not providing 'protection' for items that can't be repaired locally. Ironically, I live in a massive metropolitan area and could have driven it to get fixed if that had been an option. Never again.

    I recently had an accident with my laptop and shipped it out to their repair facility. After 5 days, they said that they needed to order parts to complete the repairs. 5 Days later (10 Total), they said they needed an additional 5 days for additional parts they ordered. I asked to speak to a manager who then offered me the 5 day Warranty refund Guarantee. Notice that I had to ask for a manager for them to comply with the 5 day Guarantee warranty refund. The manager told me that they wanted for the repairs to complete (adding an additional 5 days) and that they are unable to proceed with a reimbursement until 10 days after the first 5 days (15 days total). Nowhere is this information listed on their website nor my contract.

    In fact, the website states, "Once we receive your item at our depot, we will either repair and ship it back or reimburse you the replacement value of the item (usually the original item price) in 5 days or less.". In other words, don't expect for your item to be either repair or reimbursed in 5 days or less, If they cannot repair it within 5 days, expect to wait a total of 10 days before anything is done about your claim. If you want your contract to be fulfilled, expect to ask for a manager after 5 days and expect them to do everything in their power to prolong their service. I use my Laptop for work, after 10+ days, I was forced to purchase a new laptop. Now I'm on a limbo on whether or not I'll have to return this laptop. 5 Day Guarantee, 10 day... 15 day... What is it? DO NOT CLAIM THINGS YOU DO NOT WISH TO FULFILL!

    I was told it would cover up to $129 of phone damage and that I would pay the remaining balance. So I got my phone fixed and it was $160. Thinking I'd get back $129 was foolish I guess. I got back $63. I've paid for this warranty for 13 months at 7.99 a month so paid 103.87 over those 13 months... I basically paid them for ME to pay for my phone to get fixed. Please don't waste your money on this. It's a bad idea!

    The last electronic device I had got broken so when I bought my new phone, I sought for a warranty and SquareTrade was the only one that was offered.     We had two SquareTrade transactions within the last year. One was a microwave replacement and one was a television replacement and both transactions were satisfactory. However, on the television warranty, we would have preferred a different brand of television when they replaced it, but we weren’t given the option to choose the brand. The television that went out was a Vizio and Vizio confirmed that it was a failure within the television that could not be repaired. We were offered a Vizio replacement but the features of the new tv weren't compatible with our set up. It required a smartphone and we did not want to be tied to a smartphone to operate our television. So, we asked for a different brand, a Samsung because they had a mobile app that keeps everything up-to-date and it was within our warranty price range. But we were told no, and we ended up with a television that consumes more electricity than what we would have preferred.

    Also, when we registered for the warranty, they requested the physical address for shipping, but when the issue was on a microwave, they opted to send us a check for our purchase price and they sent the check to the physical address. The post office sent it back because they don’t deliver mail to our physical address. The post office box was on our record. So, we had to notify SquareTrade that we hadn’t received the check. It turned out that they had to either reissue or entertain that the original check had not been cashed right away. It is frustrating. The post office has a cross-reference of the physical address to PO Box but they also don’t have to research that if they don’t have time. So, before our refund check is sent out, SquareTrade would benefit if they confirm the mailing address even if somebody had moved. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with our coverage and the transactions that we've had. SquareTrade warranty is certainly worth the cost.

    I like putting warranty on stuff. Sometimes we don’t because the warranty passes and then the device gets damaged, but sometimes it’s good because you could get your stuff repaired back or, if not, they could refund you. And then you could go buy something else again that’s almost the same product. If they don’t have the same one, something better. So when I buy something, I ask for a warranty.

    SquareTrade has been good because they covered the bag for the baby. I purchased the warranty from the store and the rep gave me their book. They said, “This is from the price where you cover for how much you have to pay". And then they gave me the number in case I needed to make a claim. They explained everything and paying for the purchase of the warranty was easy. When I submitted the claim for the baby bag, I called in and gave them all the information. It was quick and easy.     I purchased a 5 year warranty from SquareTrade for my Samsung TV. After two years I started having an issue with the picture. I called SquareTrade and that had me run some tests and then asked me to submit pictures so their team could view and determine the next step. The next day they sent me an email stating they would replace the TV and sent me a link to TV options. I couldn't believe what they sent. My TV is a two year old 65" 8500 series Samsung cost $3000 and the replacements they sent were $850 dollar entry level TV's. I called this morning to let them know that I didn't think any of the two options were a good replacement option and was told that these were the options.

    When asked what options of the TV's weren't correct I started to let Steve know and he would repeatedly tell me that these were NOT options that they consider for replacing my TV (they certainly were for me when I was selecting my new TV). I'm not sure what the next step is because I was hung up on after that. I'm sure whenever anyone buys these warranty like I did and you have to finally use them you would expect to have your product replaced with as like as possible even down to the manufacturer. If you have an iPhone and it’s covered under warranty would you expect an LG as a replacement or a iPhone? Very disappointed in the service and TV selection from SquareTrade.

    Called 1st day. Spoke to Sams Rep. She said she would get a SquareTrade rep on phone. Talked with that rep. He said he would email me request for receipt. 10 days past and no email. I called again and talked to Sams Tech Rep. She transferred me to sq trade rep. He transferred me to another rep. Each of the Square Trade Representatives were very difficult to understand. I consistently had to ask them to repeat what they said. They were courteous, but the first one definitely did not do his job. I had two receipts - one for smoker and one three days later for smoker. That only confused them. They were unable to locate any receipt. There are too many steps to get problem resolved. Took more than one and one half hours on the telephone to resolve claim.

    When I finally was in my SquareTrade window the customer service Rep was very understanding and helpful. I have been dealing with this same problem for few years. Hopefully SquareTrade will do right by me and just send me a new laptop since nothing Costco or HP has fixed yet curent laptop.     I have been a customer of SquareTrade for several years. Usually the resolution is simple and quick. This item is still not resolved. I thought it was. I had to call in 3 times to get this taken care of. The representatives were all very nice, but not totally competent. The first rep cancelled the wrong plan and did not submit the claim correctly. The second person said they took care or the claim and reinstated the plan that was canceled. It was not. The third person took care of the claim, but the old plan was still not reinstated. The cracked screen was repaired, but it came back with another problem. The touchscreen was not working correctly. Now I am waiting for it to be repaired again. The other plan was never reactivated and now my other child's tablet has a cracked screen and no warranty to cover it because the representatives canceled it and never reinstated it like I asked and they said they would.

    I made the mistake of buying 3 year SquareTrade coverage for my laptop from Costco. The screen stopped displaying last summer at 2.5 years old, so sent it to SquareTrade to be fixed. They sent it back "fixed"...yet it broke again after only 12 weeks. My son, who is a college freshman is now without a computer in his first semester. They sent out another box to do another repair, but instead of sending it to him at college as I requested, they sent it to my home address, more than 2 hours from his college. This had me really frustrated, as now it's going to be an additional delay getting him a working computer. So, after calling them again about this mistake FIVE days ago (as soon as it happened), they said they would send out a new box to his college address.

    TODAY, I get an email that they are sending out the box to his college address by the end of the day TOMORROW. It has taken them an entire week to send out a replacement box, even though it was their mistake. Best part of this story is that he comes home from college on Friday afternoon for a week's holiday... I wonder if he'll actually get the box at school before he leaves?!? I called and asked them to please FedEx the box since they screwed up the entire process in the first place and I got this super awesome response "We understand your frustration, Ma'am. We'll request it be expedited and we should definitely have it out to you by the end of the day tomorrow!"

    I'm sorry, how is that any different from your first, completely unhelpful, response where you informed me that you'd have it out by the end of the day tomorrow?! It's like they are having a contest as to who can aggravate me the most. I will NEVER buy this coverage again and would gladly give them ZERO stars if that were an option because don't care about their customers.

    I purchased a 4-year warranty with SquareTrade at Sam's Club on my Samsung TV. After having Comcast Xfinity installed the Samsung TV would disconnect from the HDMI input every night during the update process. Comcast replaced the cable box and HDMI cord but I still had the same problem. SquareTrade kept saying it was not the TV it was Comcast. They would not accept any responsibility. I have three other TV sets which I hooked up to the same Comcast cable box and had zero issues. Only the Samsung 6400 TV would not work properly. I had to buy a new TV (not a Samsung... never again a Samsung TV). I bought a Sony and it works perfect. Both Samsung and SquareTrade say it is not us and I need to deal with Comcast. Basically I got Ripped Off by SquareTrade. I did get Sam's Club to refund me the money I spent on the worthless warranty.

    The last guy that I talked to was very helpful. The guy before him was extremely unhelpful. He wouldn't listen to me and treated me like I was stupid. He sent me a remote control even though I said that was not the problem and then marked my case solved. The repairman was about the same, he put the new parts in the TV but said that wouldn't solve the problem because it was the remote that was the problem.     Today marks three weeks of waiting for my laptop to be repaired. I have called four times with the same response. "We will call the repair facility and get a status." Repair facility replies via email with "Unfortunately we do not have an estimated repair date for your device". I asked to speak to a supervisor last night but was told the supervisor says he will call the repair facility himself but they are not currently answering calls. I was not allowed to speak to the supervisor. I have left reviews on other websites and received a reply saying they would reach out to me with answers. The only response was a random Amazon return of my policy. I do not know if I still have a policy with this return. I want my computer back... I don't even care if it's repaired.     Sent my PC in for repair; when I received it back (late) the repair slip said no parts replaced/repaired - OS reinstalled. I had to spend 5 phone calls online with them and Microsoft to activate Windows, when I rebooted got the message "Your PC/Device needs to be repaired. The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors."

    Today a rep refused to let me talk to a manager and said they will repair it again and that they replaced RAM/motherboard, etc., as opposed to what slip said. I wouldn't trust this company to do a second repair correctly and they refuse to honor that if they can't repair it they would issue check for replacement value.     I purchased a bluetooth and the warranty offered from SquareTrade. 2 months later the flip that turns the unit off and on broke. The product was sold by Amazon and not another company. I had a difficult time contacting Square Trade who said that they consider the flip breaking accidental and I'm not covered, they refunded my $6.18 payment. So I'm out a bluetooth. It is much better to buy the products that you want locally with the warranty like at Best Buy. There is no problems to honor warranties. I have purchased several items and the warranty from Amazon with Square Trade. It is a rip off because if you need it it is useless. I have a slow cooker with the warranty.     In January 2016, I purchased four (4) 2-year extend warranty protection plans for our family iPhones. The plans indicate "continuous coverage follows when you upgrade phones". So, one of our phones was upgraded in September 2016 and in October 2017 (1 month out of iPhone warranty), the phone stopped working. Sprint and Apple store were unable to repair as there were numerous error messages, indicating it was a hardware issue and would need to just get a new phone. Contacted SquareTrade and submitted a claim by providing the receipt. Claim was denied as the agent said the plan needed to be purchased within 30 days of the purchase of the phone. Obviously, their statement that "continuous coverage follows when you upgrade phones" is not true. I have since canceled the other phone contracts where we have upgraded our phones and will never use SquareTrade again!

    I purchased a SquareTrade policy for my iPhone 6+ in December of 2014. In December of 2016 a few days prior to the end of SquareTrade contract I had an issue with my phone that required a repair. I contacted SquareTrade to start a claim. They requested the IMEI # of the phone which I gave to them from the back of the phone. The representative told me my phone no longer qualifies for warranty as the IMEI # had changed. I had not changed phones to led to this IMEI # changing only had the glass repaired by Apple in Oct. 2015, at which time I successfully submitted a claim to SquareTrade.

    I asked what the original IMEI they had on file was and they would not tell me. I sent documentation by email to a representative that day for the purchase receipt of the phone and the repair information from Oct. 2015. They denied my claim because the IMEI # was different. I finally spoke to a manager who agreed to complete the repair as it was a misunderstanding. I had the repair performed and email the receipt to SquareTrade who did not reply. I then called the company and they did not take note of our previous contact and I had to contact a manager again to try for reimbursement. They said again to send in the receipt for repair which I did without reply. I will never use this company again as they do not honor the terms of their agreement.

    We often acquire SquareTrade for our electronic devices at Sam's. There was an instance when we couldn't find the receipts and any history of our warranty. We were looking for a SquareTrade on the ice machine and we couldn't track it down. The representatives said that we had no SquareTrade, although we have 12. Then, we were able to identify the different items we had covered. That was difficult for us because we have good records.     I purchased a computer on August 30/2016. They push me to buy the scam company warranty called SquareTrade for $99 so my computer would be covered 2 yrs. then some months later the computer started having problems. Staples no longer wanted to accept the computer back so I called the warranty. I had to wait some months till they accepted to fix. They changed mouse pad and keyboard then one more month later computer shut down. They claimed they used more money than total cost from computer fixing keyboard and mouse pad that's why is not covered anymore. This is ridiculous if just changing keyboard and mouse pad instead refunding money and get new computer without problems. Now computer is no working and they stole my money 465 just one year for computer. They are thieves. Not mentioned I'm so angry buying damn computer in Staples instead Costco.

    At the time I purchased my laptop in North Carolina, SquareTrade was the only one that Office Depot had. Around February, my laptop stopped working and I filed a claim. I called Office Depot since I left the receipt when we moved here from North Carolina. I couldn't get the receipt from Office Depot, but they gave me the number I needed to call for the receipt recovery. I called SquareTrade, however, one lady said they had the receipt, then the other one said they didn't get the receipt. I got that they didn't want me to send back the unit to replace or fix it.

I said, "no it was moved upstairs." How is it on and I said it was moved upstairs. So the operator said they will go back and listen to the tapes, so he calls me back and says, "yes you were right, you did say you moved it upstairs," but then he says they won't be covering it because I moved it! They denied my claim right away (SHANE ** was brought on the phone from their company to basically yell at me instead of provide customer service) and said that I have to go through the manufacturer's warranty.     SquareTrade’s service was very good and reliable and their pricing was right. I’ve purchased my warranty directly from them. I’ve also renewed with them and the service was excellent. Sometimes I purchase through eBay and the process has been seamless. All is done online. I’d just click on whether I want the protection when I make a purchase, and then the follow-through would be automatic. I’d get an email confirming that I am now protected with SquareTrade. I also made the payments all at once.

    Filing a claim with them has been pretty good too. I call in at times and their reps would do everything online and get the ball rolling. It can be done online as well. If I have a cellphone that breaks and I’d initiate the claim online, I’d have to log in. After logging in, I’d be on the warranties page and then I’d pick the one that says it doesn’t need a repair. Then I’d describe what happened. If there's a need for me to call because I need some additional information from a rep, I'd call in. And that has been pretty straightforward.

    Having extended warranties is definitely valuable. However, since SquareTrade’s copayments have gone up over the last few years, I don't use them now as much as I used to in the past. The initial warranty price upfront was $70 to $100 and then the deductible is $100. So, when those two figures were added together, I’d be putting out $170 to $200 for a typical repair like a cracked screen. I could almost get the same price from a local repair shop. So, that's where you have to choose whether or not you'd forgo getting the protection plan and just run the risk. And if your cellphone breaks, then you pay whatever the repair cost is going to be.

    Today, 10-7-17, about 3 weeks after my coverage expired (9-20-17) for my Note 5, I called to filed a claim for a cracked screen. Last week, I dropped it again causing another crack. I've been dropping a lot of things since 6-22-17. A few months ago, I dropped my Note 5, which I had insured with SquareTrade, cracking the screen.

    On June 22, 2017, after 30 years of marriage, my wife fall several times on the patio and rolled over into the pool and drown. More details would only make this more difficult for me to type. Then, 3 weeks later our MinPin grieved himself to death and died. A month later, we flooded. I had no time to file a claim, must less mourn the death of my beautiful wife. I lived upstairs with a foot of water in the house. I refused to evacuate. I wasn't going to leave the house my wife and I spent 6 months designing and 19 months to build.

    When I called to file the claim, I was told my coverage expired on 9-20-17, about 3 weeks ago and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he or she would even get on the phone. After all someone has to live through, you would think a large company like SquareTrade would have made some adjustments. I was told there was nothing they could, not even for flood victims, let alone all the other horrifying things that had happened in my life.

    So, SquareTrade, there are other companies out there. I will monitor where you advertise and let them know how inconsiderate you are. I will cancel all three items I have coverage with you and go elsewhere. This is unbelievable. Some of the most extremely small companies are extending help to flood victims. But, not SquareTrade. Not very Square at all, more like round.

    We purchased the 80" TV at Costco because they offered an extended warranty. The Warranty was offered by SquareTrade. Just under 3 years of having the TV vertical lines started showing up on the set. Within days the lines grew and a vertical white band appeared. I went down to Costco and received a copy of my purchase, and called SquareTrade. I sent in all required documents and pictures. I was asked if we moved the TV or damaged it. The TV is about two hundred pounds. We had a professional mover to install the TV and have not moved it since, and relayed this info to the customer service operator. We were told to wait several days till the tech department reviews our pictures.

    We received a email stating we physically damaged the TV (NOT THE CASE) and case closed. I called a good friend of mine that designs flat panels for a leading company. I send him the pictures and he send me videos of the issues that the TV is having and how to repair it, stating that it is a Vertical Ribbon failure and or ribbon bus, not done by physical damage. I reminded the operator that this Ribbon is in the interior of the panel and not accessible to damage by a homeowner.

    I explained to the customer center that I had a conversation with a leading LCD display designer and his findings, and was willing to send the link to the issue so that they could review. He refused to accept the information and refused to send me to a supervisor, he then stated that the TV was damaged by an electrical surge. The TV is in its own power supply, it is a $3,000. unit Eaton 9130 UPS that would have eliminated all line issues. We are in a city not rural and with generated stable electricity and not prone to electrical storms, in fact we are in summer and there has been no rain for months.

    We also have installed a UPS unit to the TV as we are a leading liquidation specialist and they came from GOOGLE to protect this high end equipment, the ones I use in my home are brand new. The power that is provided is clean and uninterrupted. Again the lines appeared as we were watching the TV and had no outages. Speaking to my friend he informed me that this happens once the TV is warmed up and can be intermittent or permanent as in our case, AND NOT THE FAULT OF THE HOMEOWNER. Square Trade never sent a repair person out to diagnose the issue just arbitrarily decided to reject the claim and not review any additional info, refused to send my call to a supervisor, nor send a qualified tech out. This is unacceptable insurance practices.

    My Samsung TV came with an external major part called "One Connect Box" which is exclusively utilized to connect between TV cable box and TV. Samsung service representative performed a remote access troubleshooting and concluded that my "One Connect Box" is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. I filed a claim for replacement. SquareTrade denied my claim, because it is defined as a TV accessory, not a TV major connectivity port, and is not covered by the warranty.

    Without this "One Connect Box," the TV will not be able to interface with the TV cable box to display the TV program. I disputed that it should be considered as a major required part for TV to work with cable TV box, not just an accessory, and should be covered by the warranty. My experience shows that SquareTrade can interpret their own definition on the manufacturer's products and find the excuse to deny your claim. Do not waste your money to buy this warranty.

    I have been dealing with SquareTrade for years now and I like them. They do what they say they’re going to do and they stand behind their work. I just had an LG V10 that died after a year and seven months (I got this particular phone at Sam's Club, so I had the luxury of getting the warranty right then and there. Usually, I just get it myself. But I'll never buy it from a vendor like Asurion or Verizon). I send it to SquareTrade twice. They couldn't fix it so they replaced it, which is huge. That saved me a lot of money. They reimbursed me with the price of the V20 and I went out and bought an iPhone. I trade it in promptly backed up with the SquareTrade warranty. It took a while but as always, SquareTrade has always stood behind their word.

    Cellphones tend to crap out over time and phones cost too much. The iPhone 7 Plus is almost 900 bucks anyway, so what's 100 bucks? SquareTrade is a pretty good investment. Their website is a lot easier to use. I can go online and do my purchase. Making payments for the warranty was a piece of cake. I just go in and pay for it and all is being done. I recommend them all the time to people I know, they're great. SquareTrade is the best you can do. SquareTrade is top of the line and they're reasonably priced.

    SquareTrade offered a warranty for an electronic device through Amazon, so I looked into it and I thought I'd try them. Many years ago, I used them one time through Amazon and never had any problems and their warranty was cheaper than that of other warranty providers. I've been buying all my warranties from SquareTrade ever since. I buy the warranty over the phone or online, through Amazon or other vendors or retailers, or through stores such as Best Buy.     I initiated a claim in early August 2017, as of this date I still don't have a replacement TV. The TV went out, contacted SquareTrade, sent pictures and had a replacement TV sent to me. The replacement refurbished TV was fine on the outside, but inside the TV wasn't secured properly, was cracked at the bottom and of course did not work.

    I have contacted them numerous times since and I keep getting the runaround that it's been escalated higher up so that I can be provided with a new TV. Again, I keep getting the runaround as to where the new replacement is and when they are picking up the damaged TV they sent. If this is the way they treat their customers I think it is pretty sad. I will never purchase another item that uses square trade for a warranty.     When I ordered a telephone, the vendor that I purchased the electronic device from offered SquareTrade warranty and I took it and paid for it at the same time.     I have SquareTrade warranties on my laptops, TV, Camcorder, DSLR cameras, tablets and what not. And this is the first ever claim that I opened with SquareTrade. Experience is far from satisfying. I bought this Extended warranty for my TV in US and that time I was told that the warranty is good across the world. My TV stopped working on Sept 5th and I opened this claim.

    After some calls and troubleshooting attempts, I was told that my claim for a replacement TV has been approved. And it gets funny (and ironic) afterwards, Square Trade sent me a link in an email and using that link I was supposed to pick a TV from 3 choices. I followed the claim process to the tee - I attempted to choose one of the TVs that was offered to me via an email link. But when I selected the TV and tried to put a delivery address, it appeared that we cannot enter a Canada Address there (fair enough on limitation but sad undoubtedly that the earlier 2 reps did not see that I have a Canada address on my profile so maybe that link was not to be sent to me at all.

    I then called up SquareTrade helpdesk to see what are the next steps, I was told that it's just that a Canada address cannot be entered through that link however, after a manual over-ride the same TV that I chose will be shipped to me and I told the rep that it would be good enough. He told me that I can expect an email in the next 24 hours and he reassured me that it would have the same TV and I will just need to say "Yes" and they will deliver that TV to my Canada address. Then 24 hours later I received an email but but but a totally different TV was listed in the email - not even for courtesy sake they cared to mention as to why they decided to go back on what was promised to me.

    Between that time and now I have repeatedly ask them why they cannot send the TV they only offered and promised at the same time. But repeatedly I am being coaxed to just accept the TV that they are offering. To add insult to injury, pattern of response from SquareTrade is that 1 day they send 1 email. So it's like they send an email, "Hey take this TV", I say, "No, this is not what you promised" and then follows a 24 hours plus of silence. And next day I get the same email, "Hey take this TV", again I will say, "NO, tell me more"... again a silence of 24 hours plus and then the cycle repeats.

    I even tried to call the helpline number again and I was told that now the case is with Replacement Team and they only will handle it from this point onwards. No-one seems to be willing to solve the mystery around why Replacement Team restricts itself to 1 email response in a day limit - and this is so frustrating. It is a very bitter experience. Over a period of years I have bought a lot of SquareTrade warranties for different products and this is the first ever claim. Perhaps a lesson in time to not buy this warranty next time.

    I had a problem with my 4K TV powering on. After endless calls to Square Trade to honor my warranty they finally ordered 2 parts. After 1 week only 1 part showed up so I have to fight with the repair center to come out to fix the TV. I called and called and finally got ST to call them. They finally showed up and could not repair the TV so I then got an email from ST to pick out a V out of 2 models they chose. I chose 1 and then after 3 days I received another email saying I was not able to get the one I chose. They offered me a 3-year old referred TV which I felt was not as good as my practically never used TV.     After paying $361 for a extended warranty I having the unfortunate need to actually use it. I completely disappointed with the offers for resolution that have been provided to me by SquareTrade. My plasma 3D TV is no longer in production, these have been replaced by OLED as they are both high end TVs. I was offered a basic ENTRY LEVEL TV with no 3D as a replacement after the technician could not repair it.

    SquareTrade offered a second replacement for another entry level TV, the Samsung LCD 6300 series to replace a Samsung 8000 series Plasma. I understand Plasma is no longer made, the only technical equivalent is an OLED. I had to argue with 5 reps about technical specifications and features before they would consider an OLED. Even when it was considered, they provided a refurbished replacement that does not have 3D. I countered that last year’s models do have 3D and there are several on Amazon to order and for less money than the refurbished one they offered but was told this is the best they can do.

    We are two weeks into the negotiation process and I still have no TV. I asked for a cash out settlement so I could buy a NEW TV and not accept their refurbished one and was told that was an option then 3 minutes later they said it was not an option. Customers BEWARE that if you use this warranty and have to get a replacement, they will offer you a low entry level junk TV and you will have to argue to get what you legally have the right to receive.

    Claim ** was initiated on 8/20, approved 8/21. I called SquareTrade on 8/25 to report no shipping box yet received and was told it had not been shipped yet, but I could expect it within 8-10 days. Reason given was "due to the damage to Houston from Hurricane Harvey." Note: when the file was approved and the box was supposed to have shipped Tropical Storm Harvey would not become yet a Hurricane for three more days, and it was still off the shore of Mexico. In fact it had not even come ashore yet when the excuse was offered. (It didn't hit Houston the day after being blamed for the delay.)

    The box arrived on 8/29. It was badly damaged. When I opened the box I found that the inner structure had been inserted sideways which had further damaged the box and also torn the plastic liner so that the computer could not be secured safely. At that point I had lost all confidence in SquareTrade and returned the computer to the seller for a refund of both the purchase price and the warranty cost. I then purchased a new computer without a SquareTrade warranty.

    I've always been that type of woman who always gets a warranty for everything in my life. In the past, when you rush to get things then they break in less than a year, you realize you should have gotten a warranty.     I will not use the Square Trade protection plan ever again. I placed a claim after having the item for just over a year. The claim was approved. I placed a claim on separate item that was damaged at the same time but didn't hear back. When I called to find out the status of the 2nd claim I was told it had been denied (I would have appreciated an email or something to that effect) and then when I questioned why one was approved and one denied, they then revoked the 1st one as well. Pretty poor performance all around (i.e. no communication on denial, approved and then revoked, and on the phone for nearly an hour so they could "research" and then revoke my claim). Most companies, when they make a mistake would try to make it right with the customer.

    Anything can happen to whatever you buy. With the tablet, you can drop it or a part may not be working. When I was ordering the tablet from HSN, they asked me about getting insurance on it so I got one for two years. It was easy to pay for the warranty. I just called and did it on my card.     I purchased this plan last year when I purchased a new phone... So this year I started having problems with the phone so I file the claim online and when I got a phone call from them... The first I was told to take the phone to a place in my area to let them fix the phone and they will reimburse me even after I explained to them the phone couldn't be fixed because it was an internal issue... So I asked if the phone couldn't be fixed what was their policy. I was told I would be refunded my money back they I paid for the phone and I asked are you sure and I was told that was correct. So I took the phone to several places and I was told they wouldn't look at the phone because they didn't want to break the glass on the front or back. The phone would cost too much to repair.

    So I called back and let them know what I was told and he told me he would close that claim and do another one because now I need to send the phone to them and let them look at it and if it couldn't be repaired they would send me my money back and I asked again are you sure and I was told yes... Never mention I would be given a replacement. So when I got the email on yesterday they I saw I was getting a replacement so I called again because of the email. I had already started looking for another brand phone because I had made up my mind I needed a change because of the same issues I keep having. So the person I talked to was rude and talk to me like I was stupid and when I asked for the supervisor he gave the runaround and he wanted me to tell who told me the information and said he would refund me my money back if I tell him. And plus he had a person in the background talking to me as well.

    Ganging up on me like I didn't know what I was talking about and twisting up my words. So finally after going back and forth, I told him we will not get anywhere with our conversations to give me his supervisor. Finally, he got the supervisor on the phone after I keep asking... So when I finally got to the supervisor no resolve for me because they are sending me a refurbish phone and he so busy working discipline the employee about telling me about the refund and their policy. Never really cared about how I was treated or I didn't want a replacement.

    Customer Satisfaction has gone out the door. He put me on hold again. Suppose to be reviewing the tapes of the phone call... After I waited he claimed they could find them... Hmmmm. They are a joke. He thinks I suppose to be satisfied with getting my money back for half of the 2 year plan. As you can see I didn't mention no one's name although I maybe should have. So in the future if I see their name on anything I purchased for a protection plan I will declined. I rather buy another product on my own than deal with liars. It will not let me added the receipt to show you all the proof.

    When I ordered my phone through Home Shopping Network, they told me that there there was a warranty to go with it if I wanted to purchase it. SquareTrade was all that was offered and I had to give the network whatever the payment was for the phone plus $34 for the warranty. I have never owned a Samsung phone before and I want to make sure that if I dropped it I could get it repaired or replaced. I filed a claim with SquareTrade because my phone didn't seem to hold a charge as long as it had been in the past. They told me what to do in order to get everything taken care of but when they told me I had to send my phone back first and I was going to be without a phone, I changed my mind. I would have to go and purchase a whole other phone and I was going to have to go through trying to put all of the contacts and all of the information back to it.     I purchased an HTC One M8 phone this year from eBay: itsworthmore seller and added the SquareTrade Warranty. It was a used phone so I figured that by purchasing an additional warranty would serve us well in the future! Well I was wrong! The cell was working up until 3 to maybe 3 1/2 weeks into having it. The phone would lose charge from 75% to 15% within seconds. It would make a funny popping sound and then turn right off. It started showing signs of software problem as well. It tried updating google services and it just plain stopped working around the 5th week we had it. It slowly started to show signs of defects but it was pretty prominent after a month of having it. We tried a hard reset and it worked fine but then within a few days, it started to act up again. This was back in late July. Finally I gave in and called SquareTrade figuring they would help me with this problem. My claim was denied!

    Here's a little heads up! If your phone gives out within the first 31 days, SQUARETRADE DOES NOT COVER IT. eBay covers it BUT THEY NEVER TELL YOU THAT IN THE BEGINNING!!! Because I didn't call eBay and report it then, I'm stuck with a $110 dollar paper weight!!! The seller from eBay: ITSWORTHMORE was no help either! Again, because it wasn't reported in the first 31 days, they can't cover it either!

    It seems to me that SquareTrade, eBay and the SELLER may have some pre-arranged agreement that if the cell stops working in the first 4 weeks, NOBODY covers it if it isn't reported to the right people! Seems more like a SCAM to me! So the lesson learned here... If your phone acts up in the first 31 days and you don't report it to eBay because you're unsure if it's broken, DON'T TELL SquareTrade it happened in the first 31 days.

    I'm all about being honest and forthcoming but what good does that do when a company refuses to help and leaves you hanging in the wind. I received a refund for the $25.99 but when I asked the CSR, what do I do with the phone now, I was simply told, "You can use your refund to fix your phone"!!! LMAO! Wow!!! By the way, SquareTrade will charge you a deductible!!! Funny how these companies scam good honest people!!! Good thing we have the internet and social media to bring this out into the light! SquareTrade, I will make sure to get the word out with other social sites! Thank you for making us all aware of your dishonesty!

    I purchased a two year warranty policy on 7/30/2015. My confirmation email was at 8:54 am and states coverage to start 7/31/2015 and end on 7/31/17. I have never received any reminder emails from them about renewing. I tried to renew online but it didn't recognize my policy number. So I called about 15 minutes ago (7/31/2017 11:34 am) and they say my warranty already expired because of the TIME IT STARTED and they won't renew my policy. Seems to me it should be covered until midnight at least... I will never do business with them again! I have called and spoke with them and emailed copies of the documents they have asked for five separate times, every time I get someone on the phone I go through the explanation process again. I have spent hours on the phone with them trying to get a refund of two-hundred eighty dollars back without any success, the first line of phone support I believe are trying to help but they don't have the checkbook.     I purchased my LG 47" LED HD TV from Amazon nearly 4 yrs ago. Last February the LED lights blew out and I filed a claim. Relatively simple, just call the number, provide the information, run some troubleshooting test. I live in a rural location and had to take it to a repair shop.     The only reason I am leaving a 3 star rating is because of the good customer service I had with SquareTrade. We had a phone that was broken and needed replacing. SquareTrade sent us three phones that were with a different carrier than we had. Once I complained loud enough about being without a phone for over a week due to their mistakes, SquareTrade agreed to mail us a check to cover the cost of a new phone. They made us whole in the end, but what I had to go through to get there was not worth it. I hope this was an isolated incident or SquareTrade won't be around long if they keep this up.

    The first warranty I got from SquareTrade was on an electronic device that I bought at Sam's Club. I had talked to SquareTrade on the phone when I had an appliance replaced and the people were great. They were very helpful and told you exactly what was needed. And there was no talking down to you either. I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised because I did not expect it to go smoothly as it did. As long as you had what they needed, everything went great. You have to have the original receipt, the serial and model numbers and the folder with all the information. I had all of that handy and knew what was covered and one covered the general stuff for the most part.

    Since they couldn't replace my appliance, it was cheaper to give a refund of money and I had to buy another one. Then I bought another policy on that appliance too, so I keep giving them more business. Sometimes I have to look around and ask what something is for because I buy so many of them. But if they do good on one time, then I tend to buy their warranty on other things even though I never have to use them. Thank goodness for that. There's another warranty that I've used that was very good, but then I've also had some that I don't care for, but SquareTrade was good. Plus, it seemed to be affordable for what it is and they're about the same price as the other one that I used.

    When my wife and I had our first child, we bought a crib from Toys R Us and they offered us Square Trade warranty for it. Insurance is never a bad idea, so we went for it. Sure enough, there were some finishing issues with the wood in the crib that we purchased. We filed a claim and there was some registration that needed to be done online. After that was all recorded, I called in and spoke with a representative, and he asked me a few questions to verify whether we were up for the warranty or not. Then he said, "Okay." When they saw that our claim was a cause for warranty, they cut us a check, and that was great.

    Ever since we went through the warranty with Square Trade, we've told all of our friends and family that it's awesome and they should do it, and it's not something to ignore. It wasn't even that expensive compared to the cost of the crib. It was a great investment. The value of the extended warranty depends on the cost of the item. If the warranty is going to be more expensive than the actual item, then I wouldn't do it. But on a $400 crib, it was well worth it. Furthermore, the payment for our warranty was already included with the cost of the crib. So overall, we had an easy experience with SquareTrade. I had to shoot an email out once because there was an issue with the address that they recorded, but that was just one email shot back and forth, and the rep I dealt with was very professional and nice.

    A year after I purchased the SquareTrade warranty from Costco, I had problems with my computer. So I contacted the customer service team at Square Trade to file a claim but I didn't know how to activate the warranty and use it, and I had never registered it. They looked up the receipt and said, "We'll activate that for you." They registered the warranty for me and got it active, and told me how to ship off my computer, then they sent me some stuff to send them the computer with.

    They used FedEx to send back my computer. But when I got my computer back, FedEx had smashed my computer box and the computer was knocked loose on the inside and had a little rattle in it. Square Trade was going to take care of that whole thing for me. But I haven't had any problems with the computer, and even though it has a little rattle in it, it's still okay, so I didn't send it back. But they were very helpful. In fact, I had bought two warranties but never used my other warranty, so they sent me the money back on the other one. So far, I'm very happy with Square Trade.

    When I purchased my big TV nearly 3 years ago, I made a change in my buying habits. I bought the SquareTrade extended warranty for a couple of reasons. #1, it was an expensive purchase and I wanted the security beyond the manufacturer's (fairly short) standard warranty. #2, it wasn't that expensive so I thought, "I've wasted more money on a couple a spendy coffee's, this is a good purchase." Lo and behold, nearly three years after that purchase, I needed it when the TV failed.

    I contacted the store I purchased it at (Costco) and they helped me troubleshoot it but to no avail. So they connected me (in the same call) with a representative from SquareTrade named Rock. Rock stepped me through the process of detailed analysis and troubleshooting. He was super courteous, detailed in his questions and instructions, and made the whole process easy. There was a problem determined, and he gave great detail in when the parts would arrive and when the TV would be repaired. Everything went as instructed. Couldn't be happier with the fixed product. I'm certainly going to use SquareTrade for my next purchase as well!
