My child's learning experience with Sylvan has been very good. They focus on math and reading. They keep in contact via text and emails. I send the emails if I need to forward them to the school. I would recommend Sylvan.

My son's only been going to Sylvan a few months but he enjoys tutoring, which to me was very surprising. With school, it's not always something he wants to do. Sometimes he whines to have to go in the morning. Sylvan has been great to us so far. I enjoy the routine that we've made with them. We've seen improvement so we're happy. He just started kindergarten and they determined he was behind because he didn't attend Pre-K of any kind. He's doing overall catching him up to where all the other kids are. He's not quite caught up yet. But I have noticed him identify certain things that he couldn't before.

My daughter started back in November and she loves the incentives after going to tutors. She’s doing a lot better in reading and now, she's more confident. She'll be like, “Mommy, let me read you this,” versus telling her to go read. Sylvan works. I know some people want results the next week or two but give it time.

Sylvan’s better than the other tutoring services we used. They're helping my daughter with Reading and she enjoys the lessons. Sylvan is a little bit expensive, but it's worth it.

Sylvan has been great so far. My child is doing Math and Reading and has gained a lot more confidence in learning and is, overall, more engaged.

Sylvan helped my daughter quite a lot. She really likes the program. They have my daughter read. She was reading Hop on Pop. Then there's a lot of tablet work. They help her sound out letters. We just started doing some Math, too. It's been a great experience and it will continue to be a really great experience. I don't regret signing my daughter up.

Sylvan is one of the autism scholarship providers. Enrolling with them was easy. I've had other paperwork that I've had to go through and, by comparison, Sylvan's was less complicated. My son likes the person that he works with.

When I called Sylvan, they were very nice and welcoming. My daughter struggles in math and reading comprehension. She's been there 16 sessions and has improved a little bit. She hates going until she gets there. Afterwards, I ask her, "How was tutoring?" She'd tell me it was good. I like the tutors. They're very informative and understanding. I've had to switch on a last schedule several times, and they were super nice and very easy to communicate with and get ahold of. They have a text system. Sylvan is pricey but worth it so far.

Sylvan is the best. My child's learning has been astronomical. I really like one person there, and the way she handles the kids. She's an absolute expert at what she does.

Enrolling with Sylvan was very easy and quick. I spoke to Mark and he had set up a time for us to come in and for my son, Austin, to get evaluated. We met with him and went over the payment process. My son is doing math and reading, and he enjoys Sylvan. He likes the way they tutor. He seems to be learning from them. He's getting more confident.

We needed something for our daughter because she was struggling hard in school with her grades. She has ADHD. Sylvan gave me a lot of information and worked around with us. I let them know what was happening with our daughter and they were listening to us. They knew what our needs were and what we needed to put our daughter in. They explained everything to us thoroughly, like how the process was going to be and the expectations. She has different tutors every now and then, but they're all helping her. I could see the difference already in the school with her grades. They're all contributing. It's helping her improve with reading. If others are looking for help, I would definitely refer them to Sylvan.

At Sylvan, everybody's been kind and competent. My son is doing Math and English. They're helping him with basic concepts and building a foundation. My son likes it. I feel like it's helping. They meet the children where their needs are. So, some days it may change based upon what his instruction may be. What kids get out of Sylvan is worth it.

I reached out to Sylvan and scheduled an interview. We went to an office to see what they had to offer and get familiarized with the facility and the staff there. They were clear with what they had to offer. The testing showed what assistance we were looking for for our children. For one of them, they told me that for her grade, it was reading and writing. For one of our other children, we did the reading and math. It was the same thing with the writing. They told us that was gonna be part of it. For our third kiddo, it was reading, math, and writing.

They give a monthly report so I could see where my daughter is at and what she has achieved. I enjoy seeing those every month so I can see the progress. Also, they were very helpful on scheduling make-up courses due to the holidays. I would recommend Sylvan to any of my friends that expressed any issues with their kids on learning. I like the one-on-one interaction.

It's been going well with Sylvan. They work one on one with my son with his English and reading and writing skills. He goes three times a week and enjoys going. He took to it quickly. However, their prices are expensive. Also, sometimes allowing the child to work independently and asking if they have any questions would be beneficial than just sitting and doing the work with them. But I get that they are offering a tutoring service.

My son liked Sylvan Learning, and he thought that the tutors were nice and helpful. I didn't have a problem with the staff too. Communication was great, and the staff were always helpful and answered questions. I had a good experience.

Our experience with Sylvan has been really good. They're very easy to talk to. They contact me back fast. My daughter is doing a lot better in school. Her teacher is saying that she's doing better in reading and participating more and happy to participate.

The staff are very nice and the tutors are very helpful to my son. He improved a lot on reading and writing and we're happy to be there. I'd recommend Sylvan to others.

I had a good experience with Sylvan. My six-year-old likes to learn, but there's not much I can do as a father. The experience was to get someone else to get in between us and tell her what to do. I could follow up at home and she knew there was a third party. She enjoyed Sylvan and she really liked it. She was looking forward to continue. But the time didn't allow me to. I would highly recommend them, especially the one in Lake Stevens was really good.

We used Sylvan way back when my oldest daughter was in the third grade just to make sure that she would have a better speech pattern. My youngest daughter is going to Sylvan and she doesn't think too much of the program. But she knows it helps her with the whole school and creating good habits for the reading part of it. My oldest who just started back up is kind of iffy on it. It helps her at some point to understand some things. But overall, it's been a great experience. Through this Sylvan office specifically, it's been a great experience. Michelle and Gina are great managers. They're always responsive immediately when we have any kind of questions or concerns.

My daughter and I love Sylvan. She built up her confidence with them. Every time I try to teach it to her, she shuts down. When she went in to Sylvan, she struggled so much with reading. But now she's able to read me even just a basic book. She's able to read me those three letter words and some of the four letter words. She's improved a lot from when she first started. The only thing is for me personally, it's a little bit out of my budget. But it's worth it for me at this moment.

Everyone has been very kind. There was especially one teacher who was very animated and used her hands a lot to help with. I really appreciated that.

My son always comes back very happy from Sylvan. They've got good incentives there. They have different things they can do and get at the end of the class. So he thoroughly enjoys it. They've been very accommodating. The base office is in another town about 30 minutes away, and that's where we did our evaluation at. I expressed my concern that we couldn't go there as often as we needed to go to another town. So they made a spot here in Crossville for my son. They are very pleasant to work with. The initial payment was pretty hefty but it's well worth it. Our grades are improving. It's gone from Ds and Fs to Bs and Cs, so it's working.

Our experience with Sylvan is great. They have great communication. I see a lot of improvements in my kid's learning. I like it. We started in December and we did half a year one year ago and then we stopped because of some personal reasons. Then we started again. My kid is in third grade. He does reading, spelling and writing most of the time.

My child really enjoys Sylvan. She goes there three times a week. I would highly recommend them. They work with your schedule and flexibility.

Sylvan is getting my son up to grade level with reading and it's going well. The program is hands-on and tailored to what his gaps are instead of teaching kids all together in one big lesson. It's like a well-oiled machine in regards to how they identify all his gaps. He's in the fourth grade and if there is one gap that was missing from first grade, that system will identify it. Also, it has games and stuff built in to make it not seem so boring. They have incentives and it looks like my son's okay because every time he comes out, he has something that I'm like, "Okay, that's gonna come up missing in a couple of days." I would refer other people to the program because how it's designed and how it works is very strategic on getting children to close the gaps.

It's a great program. My daughter mentioned that it helps and I can see the improvement in her studies. Also, the overall communication is great. They call and if not, they leave voice messages and emails.

They're focusing on reading and math with my child and we've seen some improvement in reading. We're more focused on his math now. Also, I haven't had any issues with Sylvan. Anytime I needed to change any of his things around or reschedule his sessions, it hasn't been a problem.

I talked to Sylvan and got my grandson enrolled. I like that they are not far from me.

One of our employees mentioned that he sent his son to Sylvan and that it helped him a lot. We tried it out and it seems to be working. They keep me informed on everything, check in with me, make sure that everything is going the way that we want it to go and that my son is progressing. They're helping him in mostly math and science. He's getting better grades. They're teaching him more how and what to study, and not to just rely on the Gimkits they have at school.

Sylvan has been easy-going and very helpful. My children love them.

Everyone that I've had contact with or had meetings with has been extremely friendly and very in-tune to my son and what he's doing and how his work ethic and progress are. It's evident that they are very involved. I saw confidence in him and more excitement right away. We got his progress report today and it's a huge improvement. The communication has been spot on. I get a text every week when there's an appointment or whatever they're doing. They keep me updated on that.

The enrollment process was very simple. I completed a card online and within an hour, somebody called me. The staff is very professional and personable. My son did Reading and English with them. He completed his last session on Tuesday, and he went up at least a grade level. We had the assessment on Monday and by evening, we went over the post assessment. He had to complete 24 skills, and he ended up completing 36. As a result of him participating in the service at Sylvan, he's gone from a C in a subject to an A. It's worth it. I’ll recommend it.

Where I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we were taking my daughter to Sylvan and the whole experience was positive. My nephew is going there now for math. His confidence has improved. I recommend Sylvan. People are super nice and very flexible with schedules. We had no issues with schedules and they were very easy to deal with.

The process was very easy. We were able to have our kids get an evaluation. And within a week of the evaluation, we met with the person in charge at the center, and she broke down the results and what they thought would be required to get my kids caught up. It's worth it.

The enrollment process with Sylvan wasn't hard. I left my number. They called me back and started scheduling me. I told them what we needed. I liked their flexibility and their friendliness. They were open to helping my daughter with whatever homework she had. My daughter liked the tutoring. She said she got things a lot better since it was a little harder in school to ask the question she needed. A lot of times, kids are messing around and that takes time out of the teacher's work day trying to settle them down. She wasn't getting the attention she needed to understand and ask any questions. In the smaller groups, she was able to clarify whenever she had a question. Sylvan is very easy to work with and I'd recommend going there.

Sylvan Learning has been amazing, and it's totally worth it. My son's in 1st grade and he's thriving. Also, we speak to the owner as much as we need to, and he's very great with communication.

Sylvan Learning did a conference with us and gave us updates, and the rep, Lana, is really helpful. She's easy to work and communicate with. My daughter is progressing a little, and they work on homework with her which helps 'cause she was struggling to do that at home with her siblings. My daughter likes it a lot. Overall, Sylvan Learning has been great so far. It's pricey, but it's worth it to invest in your kid's education. It's a good value.

My daughter is going to Sylvan. So far, she said she's happy with it. She's doing Math and Statistics. She understands her tutor better than the teacher. She's able to complete her assignment most of the time. I like Anna. She might be the owner of the Sylvan in Oviedo. She's very detailed, easy to communicate with, and always helpful. So, we're happy. Sylvan's price is a little high compared to other tutoring services but it's a great place if you need tutoring. I like the consistency of their tutor schedule.

We were looking for a program about reading that is good with kids and we found Sylvan. Our son is doing reading with them. He has problems reading before. He was not at the same level as the other kids in his school. Sylvan helped us so he could be on the same level as the other kids. Sylvan is a good system. They focus and the system is very personalized. It looks like the tutors have experience with different kinds of kids. This helps a lot. Last year, they had excellent teachers. The only thing is they're changing a lot. I hope that they can do something to maintain the tutors. My son was very attached to one. She was a very good tutor. She was very focused on improving my son. She was very friendly. She's not with Sylvan anymore. I hope that they can find a good tutor who has patience and experience with kids. I hope they can maintain the good tutors in the center.

I have my oldest kid at Sylvan Learning Centers. And my twins have just started. They just turned four. Sylvan has been a very welcoming environment for my kids. My oldest does Reading, Phonics, and vowel sounds put together. He focuses on reading comprehension. My twins started in January, but they've been sick a lot, so they haven't had as many sessions. But I'm trying to focus on just alphabet recognition, letter sounds, and phonics with them.

I'm happy with Sylvan. My child is doing math with them. We will continue to go. I'm just hoping that we don't have to keep doing this next year because I couldn't afford to pay it all upfront for what she needed to catch her up to where she needs to be. It's just I wish that I could have been able to afford to have her go and do that full course. There's a full course that they offer. I just can't afford to do that, so I had to choose the tutoring for a cheaper price.

My grandson’s tutor focused on Reading and it’s working great. Sylvan’s environment is good and clean. The ladies who work there are wonderful. The price is expensive but Sylvan is necessary. I'd recommend it.

Sylvan Learning Centers excelled. They did a good job. They had a facility that was a good 20 minutes from us. And it seemed a company that could do a custom learning experience for our son, which I was looking for. Sylvan worked in all the areas that my son had difficulties in and had exercises that they worked with him there at the facility. They had incentives for the kids to do well and rewards for them, which my son seemed to respond well to. And it was very safe and professional but laidback and fun for the kids. I would recommend others to go there.

I saw Sylvan and then I requested more information from them. They called me right away and started giving me all the information that I needed. They set me up right away with an appointment to meet in person and discuss further, and do an evaluation on my daughter. She is doing math and reading with Sylvan now, and she's been doing good. They've been teaching her strategies to do better in school. At the same time, they're helping her catch up with her deficits because there are lots of areas where she falls back behind. Sylvan is very friendly and very, very nice. The minute you walk in, they're greeting you. They're taking your child in and helping the child get set up. When I pick up my daughter, I have a hard time bringing her back home because she wants to stay longer. She wants to go there every day. So she loves it. Sylvan is well worth it.

Sylvan has given my child more confidence to be able to answer questions on her own and practice. Also, the tutor has been nice and professional. They're great and I would recommend them.

My granddaughter is doing English at Sylvan. She's in kindergarten, so she is recognizing her numbers and the ABC's. I recommend Sylvan. They work with the kids, and the staff is very understandable and communicates.

I liked that Sylvan had multiple subjects. My daughter is doing Reading and Math. Her numbers are going up. Her tutor is working with her on reviews for her math test at school, and she's working on building skills so that she can test better overall. I would recommend Sylvan to anybody who can afford it.

Sylvan Learning Centers was detailed and able to give feedback. They helped my children get on grade level with their skills. Give it a try.

Since going to Sylvan, my daughter now knows how to express herself in words when she writes an essay. Her grade went from C to B in language in a few months. Every time I drop her off there, she's fine. When I pick her up, she's in a good mood and I ask what she has been learning and she tells me in an excited tone. But it's quite expensive.

My child is doing Math and Chemistry with Sylvan. It's mostly homework help, but all is well and she's doing fine in all of her classes with the help that they've been giving her. According to my daughter, it's a really laidback environment which makes it stress-free but the teachers are very good. It's expensive, but that's par for the course. If you're kid is needing assistance, then you should call and check Sylvan out. They have good communication.

My daughter is going there and they have been able to accommodate her and get her what she needs so she could succeed. She's taking AP Calculus and general Math and they're helping her a lot with everything. Also, the person that's in charge of the center that she goes to is great. He helps her and he's able to communicate with her regarding what is it that she needs and what is it that she's having trouble with because he himself knows the subject very well.

Sylvan has been helping my son a lot as far as his confidence has gotten better. His proficiency with reading has gotten better. He enjoys going to tutoring and learning. He enjoys reading now. Sylvan is definitely worth a try. So far, the tutors have been really good. Erin and Ben have been amazing.

I really like Sylvan Learning. It's a great place, and they love kids. It's also cheaper than most other places that I looked at, but what stands out the most is how kind they are to my daughter and how patient they are with her. They're amazing and people should sign up.

Sylvan Learning is worth spending the money to help your child with his education in writing or reading. They made writing interesting for my son so he can concentrate and learn, and he’s happy. Everything is great.

I had very good experience with Sylvan Learning. The people in Holly Springs were excellent. I took my granddaughter there for reading and her reading grade went up from 80 to 88. And we only went for two months once a week. I found it very helpful. The tutor worked on stuff with her with reading and with some phonics. She enjoyed it. She was always excited to go. When she progressed, she got tokens. She loved that part, too, being able to use her tokens and getting a little surprise at the end of the day. They were very friendly and helpful. They were very good with any questions I had. I could call them at any point, or email them. They always corresponded. I was very satisfied. I found their website easy to get around as well. I would recommend them. My brother also used Sylvan when his children were little. He highly recommended them, too.

Our son is six weeks in with Sylvan. He's much more fluent in reading. Before, when he reads, it was choppy. Now, he reads normally. Sylvan helps 'cause it's not me instructing him. It's a third party and he does better. We have an online portal that shows our son's progress. It's very user-friendly.

If your child needs it, go for Sylvan Learning Centers. My daughter had problems with Math. She now has a better grasp on what we sent her to Sylvan for.

They're guiding my child in Reading and math. Everyone was really nice to my 10-year-old. They were very helpful in his transition to his classes and also do the assessment process. So far, he's made improvements based on where he started. It's been a positive experience for my child.

Two of my children have attended Sylvan. One about seven years ago during her fourth through fifth grade. They took her from a learning level of being a fifth grader in learning all the way up to being a fifth-grade level. From that point on, she exceeded and she's now graduating from high school with As and Bs. She's taking some serious courses in high school and it's really turned her life around. I'm hoping for the same thing here with our younger one who's currently with them. She's got a math deficiency and about two grades behind. She's in ninth grade right now and she has an early eighth-grade learning level. But her basics weren’t there. They're doing algebra and linear algebra. So, they're trying to get her caught up on that and they're doing a great job at it.

My granddaughter was in the fifth grade and doing very poorly. After COVID, she got behind and was failing two classes. And fifth grade is a pivotal point. We decided Sylvan was what we needed to do. We needed to do something more than a high school kid tutoring her. Right now, Sylvan is focusing primarily on Reading and Language Arts. They're going to go to Math. Those were the two areas where she was a little behind. But Reading was the most important and they did as well. She is no longer failing and I’d like to think that that is the result of going to Sylvan. We have not been going that long but her reading has improved. Sylvan is expensive though.

Sylvan was instrumental in making sure that my son got to where he needed to be to ensure his placement into the next grade. Also, they bring you in, sit you down, and go over grades and explain everything to you. You're not just left to look at a bunch of stuff online and wonder what's going on. I pretty much exclusively worked with the owner, Gail. There's an older lady who was extremely assertive, grumpy, and set in her ways. It became a problem and she had enough people say something to where Gail had to go say something to her a few times. This woman has really turned around her attitude and has been much better all the way around towards our family. It made me happy to know that being the owner, Gail is going to take some pride and even though she's been friends with this woman for many years, she can put customer service above and beyond her personal relationship.

I like Sylvan. Everything is good. My child has taken a couple of tests at school. And one of the tests, he said he made a 93. The other one, he made an 80 something. So, it’s working out really good for him.

They had a test that my daughter had to take so they could place her and make sure that it was a good fit for her. We got offered the tutoring and everything's going good. She enjoys it. We go in, they call her for her table that she's assigned to, and they do the different things with her. Also, she loves to earn rewards.

My son is doing reading, writing and comprehension with Sylvan. The frustration on my child not knowing was one of his biggest defaults or deficiencies. So now that he knows and is able to solve, it makes it a little easier for him to comprehend things. So far, the teachers are great. I like progress and seeing results, and my son has achieved results with Sylvan. I would recommend them.

The tutors and customer service have been outstanding. They're a loving, helpful, and empowering environment. They build confidence and that's a pretty important thing. My daughter loves going. She doesn't fight it. We're really happy with Sylvan.

My daughter improves in Math when she goes to Sylvan. She likes it and she's happy to go. The tutors respond right away and they always have an answer. If they need to contact me, they do and I contact them if I need to. If a friend’s child is struggling in school and needs to improve their math skills, then I will refer Sylvan. It is expensive but it comes with tutoring.

They're helping my granddaughter with Reading. It's a little bit slower than I thought it would go. But it's going okay. She just went into second grade and they started her off with kindergarten skills. She's becoming a little bit bored with it. But she loves the reward system on Fridays. The director also contacts me every other month and gives me a progress report. There has been improvement.

When my 19-year-old son was in the seventh grade, he needed a little bit of assistance in math. We learned about Sylvan and all the representatives that I've dealt with at Sylvan have always been very pleasant, knowledgeable and explained the process very well. Everything was fine when he went. They have an excellent program to help your children.

My daughter gets tutoring from Sylvan for math. She's doing well. She likes going there and is enjoying her time doing maths there, and it's helping her at school. I called customer service to switch days because she was on Mondays, and then I switched her to Wednesdays. They were like, “Okay. Sure thing. That’s fine.” I’d recommend Sylvan.

I would recommend Sylvan Learning to anybody. They've been really nice. I spoke to the director there, and he was great. My son's in 5th grade, and he does reading twice a week and math once a week with them. He loves it.

I went to Sylvan when I was in high school and it helped me out tremendously. My daughter started having problems and all the tutoring associations didn't work. I spent thousands and thousands of dollars a year for these people and I didn't see any result. I should've went with Sylvan from the get-go. Now, my daughter loves Sylvan. So far, everything's fine. Ms. Paula keeps pushing her and just wants to do everything for the best for her. She loves going there. When I got hurt at work on December 19th, Ms. Paula and their Sylvan facility have been working with me with the payments. It's awesome.

We've had great success with Sylvan. I was concerned at first because I didn't know the process that they use. I thought it was one-to-one. So, when I found out it was one-to-two or one-to-three, I was concerned how my daughter would get the attention that she needed. But it works because she saw results. Last year, my daughter started when she went to sixth grade, because after the pandemic and being homeschooled for the past, she had a major gap. And fifth grade was supposed to be a catch-up year. She went to school that year. But her teacher had health issues, so they had substituted the whole year. So, my daughter was behind. We reached out to Sylvan. They got her tested. And we started a rigorous program with her.

I would recommend Sylvan Learning Centers. It's a valuable program. My son has improved dramatically. He has more confidence. Also, we've seen an improvement in his schoolwork and his abilities at school.

Sylvan helps my child in Math and English and we've been in the program for two months now. We took advantage of the promotion when they were having the Black Friday one. The staff is great and seems engaged, and my kid doesn't hate it, which is great for tutoring.

My son, Amos, is a sophomore taking geometry and he has worked with Ron the last three years since coming back out of COVID to help catch up with math skills. This year specifically is geometry. Amos will bring in his homework and Ron will do some prep to help him get ready for exams and understand concepts. Most recently, Amos was able to get 100% on one of his exams for the first time in his life in geometry. He said it didn't feel right because it was so easy. It was because he knew his stuff. My son has worked for a few years also with Carol, the tutor for English. Sylvan Learning is wonderful and I appreciate everything that they have done for my son. It's expensive for a family that doesn't have much but knows the importance of education so, I wish there were scholarships.

The enrollment process with Sylvan Learning was straightforward. My son went in and did a test so they could see what level he was at, and we found out what he needed exactly to get him up-to-date. My son's doing reading and math, and I can definitely see improvements when he's working on his homework. He's filled a lot of gaps quickly working with the tutors there.

The enrollment process was really easy, and quick. The moment I submitted the form online, I got a phone call right away. My child really liked the tutors. He feels like he's learning a lot. It's smaller group setting, so he's getting a lot of one-on-one time with the tutor. His reading level has improved. I like that it's more private and focused type of program that some children may need. In general, my interaction with the Sylvan staff has been really good. I really like the texting feature. At the Piedmont branch, all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. But the whole scheduling needs some improvement. It needs to be more detailed.

We looked at Sylvan and we knew it had been around for a while. They had a good reputation and went with them. The enrollment experience was easy and there were no issues at all. They focus on language, reading, and writing with our son and he has done better on his math scores and his other state tests. He says he's enjoying it and learning. That's a win for us. I've recommended Sylvan to my brother for his daughter.

My daughter was having some trouble in reading and math. I had talked to some other families that had used Sylvan before and they had recommended it. They've been wonderful. They work with her at her pace, which I appreciate. They're understanding if we have to miss, for any reason, whether it's sickness or something going on at school. They're always very accommodating with that. She had improvements in school as well according to her teacher and her scores. I'm really happy with her improvement, so far. I recommend Sylvan all the time.

The tutor helping my child in Algebra is really good. The timing at Sylvan is also great. It's also not too expensive. My daughter went from an F to a B in a couple months’ worth of time.

Going to Sylvan helped my daughter. She gained some confidence as she learned the skills. The staff were also friendly and very helpful. We had a great experience and I would recommend it.

They're helping my son with Reading and writing, comprehension, sentence formation and pronunciation. They're really direct and they're doing well with it. I see a change in my son with some things. Any time in the past with his reading, he would just give up and not try. But now, we'll be driving down the street and he'll read something off a billboard that I never thought he would know. He's getting a little bit more of an understanding and the pronunciation and word formation. It's helping him. It's a good reinforcement for some key items. The one-on-one time helps with the kids. My son also looks forward to that last few minutes of playtime. I would recommend Sylvan.

Sylvan is conveniently located here in town and I used to live right across the street from it. So I had known about it for a long time. Over the years, I've heard very good things about them and seen the reviews and commercials. Getting started with Sylvan was a super easy process. They sat me down and explained everything. They gave me payment options including Your Tuition Solution, which is a loan program, so I've been using that and that has helped a lot. They've been excellent and very patient. They’ve worked with us as far as having to reschedule or cancel tutoring sessions. Every time a deal or a sale is going on, they're sure to let me know. They've been very polite, professional and fair.

We did a sit-down assessment with Sylvan to explore what services would best benefit our kids. They have some help with Math and the homework where they have their issues. They try to do some extra examples. When finals are coming up, they are touching and asking what may be some of their struggles and they try to focus on that.

Our daughter was struggling in school a lot, so we had to find an alternative because of our work schedules. We enrolled her at Sylvan and initially, we started with reading. Right now, they're concentrating on language arts and we recently added math. They're also helping out with assignments in all the areas. The tutor is in constant contact with us, telling us what areas of opportunity our daughter has. And based on that, we all collectively figure out what we need to be working on. So, based on whatever the teacher says she's struggling with in school right now and what I'm seeing that she's struggling with at home, they concentrate on those areas for her.

My daughter has improved amazingly in reading and writing. I love how Sylvan does the reports. I recommend them.

My experience with them was great. They focus on reading and math with my child. I like the monthly progress report that shows me that he is improving. For his age, he's not that confident but the more he went, the better he built up that confidence. He liked the learning experience. He found it challenging but he knew he was learning and it was making sense to him.

My oldest son’s taking high school algebra, high school math, geometry, and he had great experience with the Sylvan tutors who have a higher knowledge of the type of math that he's struggling with. He feels a little more supported and a little more confident going into class, knowing he has another place to go and get questions answered, and to get additional practice and support and instruction. However, it's very expensive, and it's become very difficult to be able to continue to pay for the sessions. But in the end, I'm hopeful that it'll continue to be worthwhile.

I like Sylvan. My daughter likes it too. We had help in Reading and she improved. The cost is very expensive for me, unfortunately. But I will recommend it.

The tutor is working on reading and math with my son who is a little too autistic. They've been closing the gap in understanding. My son is making massive improvements in his reading skills and his abilities. His confidence has gone really high. I'd recommend Sylvan to anybody, especially if they have a special needs child.

The tutoring is going great. This is for the SAT. It's getting them ready for the test and it's been helpful. They say they enjoy it.

Sylvan is amazing. I took my kid there in fifth grade and he had a third-grade reading level. I think the academic portion of the public school system in general is broken. And more people need to use Sylvan. Yes, it costs a lot of money. Your kid is all you got. Sylvan has been awesome to me. He likes going to Sylvan and he's 17 years old. He doesn't mind going to Sylvan at all. Next year when he graduates and his credits are right on, I'm inviting Sylvia from Sylvan to graduation ‘cause they're the ones that are getting us through.

My daughter only went for a week at Sylvan for Reading because I felt like she needed more one-on-one than three to four kids to one teacher. They said they could do it, but it was more money. And they didn't have enough teachers to provide that. But I liked the environment and the help that they were giving her. I know it's worth it, but it was expensive.

My child is doing Reading with Sylvan and she has more confidence. We’re very happy. She's meeting more of her milestones at school and she is enjoying the learning experience more and more. I highly recommend Sylvan. They have a very personalized plan and we got a warm and welcoming engagement from the director and the team when we went in and corresponded with them. We looked at a competitor and that was not the same feeling.

Sylvan has helped my grandson a lot. He feels more confident and seems more focused. Right now, we're doing it online because I don't drive. We have a lot of technical difficulties, but they go out of their way to try and help us out. It's a little hard because it is expensive, but he likes it there with them. They're good to him.

My experience with Sylvan Learning has been good. My daughter is seeing progress in her reading. We noticed that she needed improvement in math so with this new school year, we also included math. She is doing well with that as well. We're pleased with the program that we have. Another tutoring service offered remote tutoring and they also came out to the house to tutor. But going into the center is better with Sylvan ‘cause it's more focused. The child is not at home or in front of a computer. Especially with a child aged seven and eight, they don't focus as well online or even with the tutor at the home. My daughter does much better going into the center. The programming, too, is different because the last tutor that I had, they weren't very structured in the program of the tutorials that they were doing. It was pretty much open to have me help them tutor her on the things she needed tutoring. But Sylvan is more guided. It's a sacrifice to pay monthly, but it's worth it because it's working for us.

My daughter who's in college goes to Sylvan for Calculus. She was very stressed with that class. But thank God that we found Sylvan. Now, she's doing a lot better. The tutor knows what he's doing and is able to help her. I would recommend Sylvan.

I love Sylvan Learning. Our grandson loved it there and they loved him. They said he was an enthusiastic learner. I was so impressed with Sylvan.

So far, we've been very impressed with Sylvan. The director has been upfront, knowledgeable, and kept us in the loop. They have a lot of teachers there that are able to help my son who is in high school and they're still able to help him with math and science.

My daughter wasn't really that receptive. Her time management is not on point. She did value the Sylvan experience because she was more concerned about the amount of homework she was receiving from school in other topics. So, I don't think she applied herself to her fullest. But I also don't think that the teacher that she had at Sylvan was very patient.

I would recommend Sylvan Learning Centers. After just three sessions, my son was excited and said he could understand what he reads. He has three teachers that he normally works with and he likes all of them. He likes going and he's happy. I homeschool him and can see the difference. He likes school better and feels more confident that he can understand things.

When I was exploring Sylvan and mentioned it to people in passing, I learned we had a number of people in our family friend circle who use them and have been very pleased with them. So I felt comfortable. My kid is still going to Sylvan and his confidence has improved knowing he is putting in the extra work. He is proud of himself. Overall, the service is really great. I've been really happy. I would highly recommend it. The cost is justified. But it is a large expense and a huge investment. I wish it was a little bit more manageable, like $30 to $35 per hour range versus $50.

The tutor was great. He helped the student's grades come up, and the student really felt like he had someone for support for his homework every day. The student was very excited. He always wanted to go to Sylvan by himself and he was actively working on his homework. I see a positive change in attitude with the student. Overall, I would really recommend Sylvan. It's a great learning place and student will definitely benefit from that. Take my word for it.

Sylvan Learning has been good so far. They have more availability. I was doing personal tutors, but you have to go with their schedule. Sylvan always has somebody there between those certain timeframes that are good for my family. My son is doing Math and Reading and he's improving, not at the pace that I want him to improve on, but he's improving. He's enjoying reading better. He's stronger in reading than math, but it's good to hear little things. I was helping him with his math homework yesterday, and he did a problem and he figured out a multiplication fact with his nine timetables in his fingers. He was like, "Yeah. I learned that from Sylvan." Sylvan is expensive, but it's worth it.

They work with my son one-on-one and go at his pace. They have him read different passages and going over that to see if he understands it. It's been a good experience. He enjoys going there. Sylvan meets your child where their learning is. As opposed to at school, it's everybody's on the same level. So they get that one-on-one and it helps build their confidence.

Our experience with Sylvan Learning Center in Teaneck, New Jersey was excellent. The tutoring was all in person and Sylvan was able to do 14 hours. Each of the two sons mastered two Math skills. One mastered two reading skills and the other mastered eight reading skills. They are on the 5th and 6th grade level according to the algorithm testing that Sylvan gave us and they are on the 11th and 9th grade in school.

My daughter did English and a study skills program with them. She went from a C to an A student. Right now, my son is doing math. He's almost at his grade level and he is doing better. Going with Sylvan is expensive. I have to come up with an extra $1000 a month. But it's an investment because of the skills my children have learned. They're gonna continue to use those throughout their years. Customer service is very on top of using email and text messaging. Also, they've been very flexible but still on a schedule.

One of our children is in their program for math and the other is in English. The English part, our son is really struggling with. He did not pass kindergarten and so they held him back another year. When he got to the first grade, he struggled. He had a teacher who wasn't supportive of trying to help us get him where he needed to be. This year, the teacher is very supportive and with Sylvan helping us, things are moving along really quickly. He is getting where he needs to be academically. Our children really like the teachers at Sylvan. But they change often so the kids get frustrated with that. They get to know the teacher a little bit but then Sylvan switches the teacher again. Other than that, they're happy with the program. If your children are struggling, this is definitely a place to go and it's where I will take my kids again.

My child did Math with Sylvan and it was an excellent experience. She's more motivated to go there and to learn something. Whereas in the normal school setting, she gets bored very easily. I recommend that kids go to Sylvan. The environment is very nice and they are very welcoming. It's so bright in there and has a very inviting environment.

We had an excellent experience at Sylvan. They did their job and my six-year old daughter loved going there. They were really nice and sweet. They always asked if I wanted to update this or that, so I really enjoyed my time there. Any time I called or left a message, they always got right back to me. Since going to Sylvan, my daughter has become much better in her subjects. Before, she did not know all of her letter sounds and she didn't know how to blend. But now, she's blending the letters into her words, which is really good. She enjoys it a little bit more, but before she didn't enjoy it at all because she didn't see anything. We didn't realize she needed glasses, so she missed the first four months of not having glasses and was a little bit behind. So we went with Sylvan to catch her up. I wish they weren't as expensive or I would still have her in there.

We used Sylvan before for my son and it made a huge difference in his academics in middle school. He's in high school now and getting straight As. So, when some things weren't coming easy to my daughter, it was a no-brainer to put her in it. The cost is worth it and it's very affordable. The tutors are top tier and every person that we deal with is amazing. They definitely tailored the needs to my children and I was always appreciative of that.

They're focusing on reading with my child. And she's doing 500% better since she started with them. It's been over a year now. The tutors have changed recently. But I still think they're doing a good job. But the ones we started out with were excellent. They just gave her so much encouragement and kept her on the right track and that's what she needed. When she started, she was like, "I hate reading. I'm never gonna learn how to read." Now, she's like, "I love reading," and she's reading everything. Her fluency in reading has skyrocketed. Sometimes it gets pricey for me, but I keep at it because it's definitely worth it. Economy-wise, I wish it was a little bit cheaper. But I'm in it now, so I'm just gonna go forward.

Sylvan has been great. My son started there when the pandemic hit. Now, he's in the fourth grade and he's been doing well with the small classroom size and with the after-school tutoring that's provided. Sylvan is helping him very well. They go over class work and homework that they're focusing on and tutoring. The only thing is they don't provide lunch. We have to pack lunches every day. If they had a bigger facility where lunch was an option, that would be great.

My son enjoys going to Sylvan Learning. He is in the specialized program, so he's mainly focusing on reading and language arts. It's helping out my son and that's all I care about. Even his fifth-grade teacher has stated, “We have seen improvements with him.”

I used to have my oldest daughter and my son in Sylvan up in Nashville when they were little. I have them focused on Reading and Math. My daughter is more aware of what she's learning now. She's more focused. She's enjoying the learning process. She goes there every Wednesday. Sylvan is a really good company to help get your child ready for the future. It's a good learning step for the child to take the next step in tutoring. They're good at getting your child focused and they take the time out to keep your child's interest in learning.

When I enrolled my son at Sylvan, I was looking for a bit more information and I only got a little bit. Maybe it was the time constraint of my appointment. Their rep needed to get me in and get me out. There was a lot of other questions that I had that I had forgotten to ask. But all in all, what really mattered was that my Cody ended up getting the help that he needed. He's in the honor roll and he's the highest in his class. He likes to be on top of everything and when he wasn't understanding a few things in their Math class along with another student, a friend of his, they were stumped. He wanted to get help from the teacher, but the teacher seemed very agitated and had his hands full.

I went to Sylvan when I was in elementary school because I had issues with reading and comprehension. I personally enjoyed it when I went there. Then when my daughter started going to school in kindergarten, I wanted to make sure that she was where she needed to be and we decided to put her in there. It was super easy to enroll. I had looked it up to see where the closest facility was online and then I sent an email. A rep called me back within the next business day and had a meeting set up. We went in and they tested her.

I tried Sylvan for my son and it turns out that they're great. My son enjoys going, and his academics really improved. They also have regular progress report meetings with me to update me, which I appreciate. It was overall a really good experience.

The initial phone calls with Sylvan were very helpful and informative. However, when I was trying to get signed up and called the main number back, they didn't know who I had talked to and didn't have any of the information. I had three days in there where I felt a little bit lost. I had to call back several times but wasn't getting calls back from the people that I needed to talk to. Other than that little blip where I had the communication issue, I got billed the wrong amount. I was billed about $1,000 too much. But it got corrected. The prior month’s enrollment carried over to the next months. It was $1,000 the first month, and we only had a couple sessions the second month. They hadn't changed that in their system. But as soon as I emailed, within two hours, I had it fixed. They handled the mistake perfectly, so I was happy with it.

We started the week of September 18th with Sylvan. We do two hours a week for Reading. I like the ease of scheduling. I also started seeing some improvement immediately. My daughter was really struggling in kindergarten and starting and it really helped her with some confidence and learning how to focus. They do a really great job keeping her focused. She's also happy and she's excited to go every single time. She never dreads going to Sylvan.

Great company. Desiree was fine. She explained everything. She explained how the process goes, how long it possibly could take and I agreed with that. They have my daughter right now for Reading, comprehension and Math. She's been with them for two months now and I've noticed changes in Math. 15 years ago my other daughter went as well.

I sent my children to Sylvan and had good results. One of them is focusing on Language. He's very good. I just push him because of his home life. He loves Sylvan. He goes for the treats. He saves up, and I know that's how it works, and that's fine. You can't get a lot of kids interested in learning. He saves up to get something bigger, and he was asking me if I could sign him up for more classes when he's out of Sylvan and he still has some more time to go or he needs some more points. The person I deal with at Sylvan is wonderful. There's a lady that's at the front desk, and she is the smartest and the nicest person.

I was looking for some extra help for my child. I filled out something online and a lady called and I talked to her. She went over the details of the Sylvan program. I set up an appointment for an assessment, went through that whole process, and got my daughter set up during the summer. She's been going ever since. She started off doing reading and math. Right now, she's just doing math. She likes the program. It has made a difference in her overall attitude towards school and learning. Sometimes it's exhausting to go after school. But she always comes back and she's excited that she was there. She enjoys herself. She's excited when she brings home good grades. She's feeling more proud of herself. The program has given her more confidence when it comes to tackling school work and things of that nature.

I went and talked to the lady at Sylvan. I liked her. They had a good system. When I went in for the free first session, my kid didn't love it, but he didn't object. They have their own system. But I've seen good results so I didn't question it. They start them out where they can still get a percentage of the answers right. They don't jump to where you're getting them all wrong. They're building on where you feel good and getting praised for the answers you're getting right. You get praised for just trying. Because you get points or something. They get points to buy things in a little store and that's whether they get the answers right. It's just whether they are participating. Everybody has been wonderful. They know his name when we get there.

In general, they do a really good job, especially the director of the program. She sees how she can personalize the program for your specific child. If my child wasn't getting everything he needed from the group session, she would then take time out of what she got going on to focus on him. I like the program so far. They're a little bit more expensive, but they offer more time with my kids.

I would recommend to anyone to go to the Sylvan. It is a good center for learning. The owner is nice and flexible. Before, my daughter got 60, C or D in Math. Now, she's on B+ or A-.

I would recommend Sylvan.Learning Centers. My children have a positive experience. Also, the director was very knowledgeable about educating children.

My daughters liked Sylvan. The tutoring helped my daughters. Just not as much as I had hoped. Their SAT scores did not go up the amount that we expected or that Sylvan guaranteed. But my daughters did all the work. They went to the sessions. The reps were helpful, knowledgeable, and timely.

My daughter is a very good student. She has good grades, but she struggles in a few things. And she wants to make sure she's prepared for her SATs. So, Sylvan has been helping well. She's in AP Calculus and struggling a bit with it. She's very well in Math. It's just being an AP course, it's harder for her. They word things differently. Even the instructor said, "That's kind of weird. It's worded weird." But they've been able to work through it.

I’ve recommended Sylvan a lot. I did Sylvan when I was a kid at age eight. I liked them then. Now that I have children, I have put them in for two months now. Their reading skills improved dramatically. Their improvement was faster than I expected. Almost immediately. The tutor's attitude was amazing. She was very sweet and personable. She wasn't shy, which is what I hope for when giving my kids to somebody. And as far as her expertise, I assume that she's vetted well.

My daughter is behind in reading, and we received a grant from the State of Virginia for tutoring. I did a lot of research on tutoring places in the area. I like that Sylvan hires teachers as opposed to any random person who can tutor. My daughter is excelling already just after a few months with reading. So, she's improved significantly. My son is in third grade doing double digit multiplication. They're doing well. Sylvan is worth every penny. The tutors are teachers, and you get a little note every time they come home so you know exactly what they're working on, and if there's something more that you can do at home to assist. Sylvan has been fantastic. Even when the grant is done, our kids will continue to attend.

My child goes to Sylvan twice a week for an hour. They focus on reading and comprehension. Everything's been great. They're easy to work with. They're awesome and very nice.

I've heard about Sylvan Learning for years since they started. However, the price range was a little bit too high. But then, after COVID, everywhere is booked up. It's hard to find a tutor. I couldn't get my son into the free places that we have. My son is an 11th grader at East Lansing High School and he needed help. So, I called one day and, the next day, we went in and we met with Mindy and she was great. We walked right through it and that was last year.

I've seen improvement in my daughter's grades, so our experience with Sylvan has been great so far. My daughter was having some issues with her algebra after spending a year online due to COVID. So, she needed some help. Sylvan offered it in person, they have a branch close to my home, and they had reasonable prices. My daughter appreciates the tutoring. She doesn't have any issues. Sylvan is a good choice. They're flexible. They'll help your child and if they can't, they'll let you know.

We started with Sylvan and we really liked them. My daughter was in kindergarten when COVID happened and we started using Sylvan when she started first grade just to make sure that she was caught back up to where she was supposed to be because she had missed so much. She's currently in fourth grade. From first grade to third grade, we focused on reading. This year, we've switched over to math instead of reading. She's well ahead where she should be in reading. So, we decided to do math to kind of help her out there until she doesn't need help anymore.

We're working with Sylvan for the SAT and ATT, which is what we're focusing on with our child. From what he tells us, it's very structured. They got a course book they're working through and they have a set agenda on how to get him to where he needs to be. The Sylvan representatives have been awesome, even Kim who owns the place. They are very responsive, very supportive, and gives good guidance. It's been a really good experience.

My son was taking math at Sylvan and now, he's getting ready for his ACT test. He loves the instructors there. They have the time to spend with him and explain. Working with them has built his confidence and this is his second year going over there. It's set up in an area where it's easy to get to, so you don't have to guess when they're open or closed. I also like the fact that whenever I send an email to Michelle, the lady that I'm dealing with, she either replies with an email or she texts me back if we have to reschedule. She's always available. I would tell my friends to go sign up with Sylvan if they have the funds to do it.

It's been excellent with Sylvan Learning. My daughter, Everly, was going there four days a week and within the first month, we started to see improvements at the school level. When we started, she was two full years behind school. She is now caught completely back up, reading at grade level and doing very well. She loves Sylvan. She's excited to go. When you're doing school work and your child doesn't complain about going, then it's a good place. Anyone who's ever asked me about Sylvan, we do nothing but give them highest regards because they have worked so well with Everly. They work with her teachers. They keep in contact with everybody so that everyone knows what's going on and what needs to be worked on.

Signing up with Sylvan has been very good. I used it previously with my daughter. I recently used it for my son for the ACT prep and he got a better test score. Sylvan is expensive, but it's worth the money. The staff is very friendly and truly wants the kids to succeed.

One of my kids had gone to Sylvan. When my other daughter needed some help, based off prior experiences and how well it was, we decided to go back. She's doing better now than she has in the last two or three years. I like Sylvan's willingness to help. They care about her understanding. They're not just trying to pass her along like public schools do.

My son goes to Sylvan twice a week since September. He loves it. There's incentive for him. He can collect his tokens and pick something out or save it for next time. He likes that about it. They're always friendly even when they meet my kid. Recently when my child and I were reading together, I could see that he isn't so much hesitant on words. I can see the improvement. It's a little expensive but it's one-on-one. It's very helpful to him.

The level of personal attention for each student, and the way the evaluations recheck and tailor the program to each student is what I was looking for. Sylvan does an excellent job of that. I liked their teacher experience and level of one on one they could provide my son. All the directors and teachers have been wonderful and welcoming. They genuinely care about each student. They're happy to see them. They recognize them by name. It has been a very welcoming feeling at the Boise location. So far, my son makes steady improvements in Math and Reading.

I like how Sylvan Learning Centers treat the kids. The teachers are very nice and patient. My grandson likes to go and always comes out very happy. He likes the teachers and how he is rewarded for working hard.

We were looking at options and Sylvan had a better price and more convenient location. We did reading and math and there was improvement after the four weeks that my children were there. They enjoyed it. They want to go back. It's a great place to bring your children. They also give you updates so you can see in real time how it is working for your child. So I would recommend it.

My kid has only been going to Sylvan for about two and a half months and every week, he has a better attitude and it really helps him. He likes the teacher. They make it really fun for him. He's learning a lot more since it's fun. He was upset at first that he had to go to extra reading help. But he looks forward to going now.

I have two children who have been to Sylvan since July and they've both made some progress. It's been helpful. For the most part, they're fine with going. They don't love going to tutoring and they'd rather be doing something else. But Sylvan's reward system, where they earn points and then they can save up or they can use it at the Sylvan store, for my children is motivation. When they come out, they're excited that they've earned more Sylvan bucks. I've recommended Sylvan to other families. I have a couple of friends who have started taking their children there.

My second child's tutor at Sylvan Learning is focusing on reading. I knew that my son was improving, but once I got those test scores back from school, it was evident that Sylvan really helped him out because it was like he went to another level in reading. Sylvan does progress reports every few months and the customer service is good. Christine and the guy over there are really nice. I have been dealing with Christine ever since when my first son was there. My son is 17 now and he was going there when he was in first grade. So, I have known Christine for years. If you really want to see your child succeed, Sylvan is the place to be. I wish the price was a little cheaper but you got to do what you got to do and I already know that it's going to pay off in the end. So, I'm fine with it.

So far, Sylvan has been really good. They're super flexible with the scheduling, which is nice for us, and communication has been great. We talk on the phone and we also email. The administrative staff is really awesome. They're super nice. My son's in eighth grade but he's doing some stuff that he missed in seventh grade, and he likes the teachers a lot. He's also been understanding a lot more and he's doing better in school than he would have been if we hadn't put him in Sylvan. All in all, Sylvan is a little expensive, but it's worth it and I'm glad that we decided to put my son in it.

At first, I was a little bit nervous signing up with Sylvan. But I became very happy with the services. My son who's 10 wasn't able to read and he can read now. They're all just really nice there at Sylvan, very kind and understanding if you have situations with life. And they make my son feel like he's somebody.

Sylvan is 1000% better that the company we previously used. They are always helpful and directing in the way that we need to move forward. They are always keeping me informed of where our daughter is at, the progress and where we need to be. It's not the cheapest, but you pay for what you get. It's been worth it. I'd do it over again.

I would recommend Sylvan Learning Centers. It would help your child get up to par. We've been going in person to Sylvan and my daughter likes it mostly. The tutors have been helpful. They gave my daughter one-on-one instruction. She flourished. We came from a small town where she tested way below her grade, but the tutors brought her up to par, and she has an A in her Math now.

After the kids had gotten their first nine weeks report cards, they were considerably better grade-wise. Whatever Sylvan is doing with them is helping. My fifth-grade granddaughter is now getting an 80 on an assignment in class and being able to have the concentration to do it and bringing home an 80 as opposed to a low 70 or F is a good progress for her. Going to Sylvan is a good thing for them and we'll continue it as long as they need them.

My kids go to Sylvan for tutoring. They like going because they get prizes. I like that they keep us up-to-date, that they contact their teachers at school, that we have quarterly meetings with them, that I can change what I want to focus on, whether it's math or be it reading or if we wanna do homework or not do homework. Going to Sylvan is worth the cost.

We love Sylvan. Marin is really good. Sylvan is more individualized according to my son's need. It's more focused. He used to go to Kumon. My son is doing mostly reading. It's English reading and writing, and we are going to start grammar now. He has improved a lot. We have been going to Sylvan for almost one and a half year. Sylvan helps kids who are struggling in math or reading. They pay individual attention and it's more focused and there's definitely an improvement after a few sessions.

We homeschool our son and he has some developmental delays. We were looking for some extra help for him with reading and Sylvan was right down the road from us. I went in and they were just wonderful. The guy who owns the franchise in my town is so kind to my son and he looks out for him and he's super encouraging. They all do really well. I wish we'd found them forever ago. My child just started it a month ago. But, I'm already seeing an improvement mostly in his confidence.

We had a good experience with the interview, and while I was leery with the first visit, the rep explained to me what was going on. There was a lot of commotion and kids running around and being crazy in the lobby, but ever since that day, it hasn't been. My son does reading and math with Sylvan Learning and he has learned a lot. This is the first tutoring place he's ever walked in and out smiling. Anywhere else he's ever been, he was very frustrated. He would cry, wouldn't talk or shut down. He really enjoys Sylvan, and he doesn't mind doing his homework. He just gets it done. I would tell people to enroll their kids. They're good place. They really take their time with the children. My son always tells me how good of a time he has and that they're always willing to help him throughout the process. He said they never pressure him or he doesn't feel like they're not gonna encourage him to do better.

The concept of individualization and small groups is a key to any learning situation. So, I like that philosophy. It’s difficult to always carry it out. But with the tutoring, Sylvan Learning Centers does a better job of individualization. I liked the more individual kinds of things and some of the creative ways of showing children how to do things. And they have a low people-teacher ratio for the school.

My grandson was really delayed, but Sylvan is helping him get there slowly but surely. He's much better and getting more confident. The pricing is high, but it's worth it to me. Sylvan should continue to keep hiring good teachers.

When I talked to the director at Sylvan a couple of times, she was very helpful and knowledgeable. Enrolling with them was smooth. They were flexible to adjust the hours. I had to request a certain teacher after my daughter tried few times. Every teacher was knowledgeable, but my daughter preferred certain characters to others. When I requested one teacher, they were good about that. They are very understanding. My daughter likes Sylvan a lot. At the beginning, the price was pricier than I thought, but when you look around, nowadays everything is so expensive. When you consider the quality that you get out of Sylvan, the price is reasonable.

We signed up both of our boys with Sylvan Learning. I wish I would have done it initially. The boys enjoy going there and I love that we can meet with Sylvan leadership and look at the data of how they are doing, where they're at and what their future goals are. We go over both sets of goals during our one-on-one meetings with the Sylvan leadership. Those goals vary because the boys are in different grades. We're able to look at the reports and also obtain the report with something tangible that we have that we get to come home, keep and review. The price is expensive though. It's approximately 52 an hour. But I don't think we can put a price on education for our kids.

My daughter skipped kindergarten and needed help. I went to some place down the street but they were **. Sylvan is nicer. My daughter is much better in reading and math now. Sylvan is a great place to go.

Sylvan is awesome. I'd recommend them to everyone. My brother's grades improved drastically. He came to me with failing grades and now, he has straight A's. The price is worth it.

We had a good experience with Sylvan. They have good communication. We appreciate the work that they did and saw some positive results. Our daughter enjoyed going there. Now she is able to focus more and understand a little bit more of the text.

We're so happy with what our daughter has been able to do at Sylvan. It helps her get confidence. She's at Sylvan in person twice a week and she loves it. She's behind a year because she was diagnosed with epilepsy. I realized everything that she had learned last year, she didn't retain any of it. She had to start back. She's only been at Sylvan a couple of months but she's got so much momentum now. She used to hate math and now she says math is her favorite subject. It's super expensive though. It's as much as my house payment a month. If we didn't have that grant money, we wouldn't have been able to afford the few months that she's had there.

My granddaughter appreciates Sylvan Learning and it's helping her in school. She started working on homework. She felt relieved right away because she didn't know how to do it. We had some after-school services at school and they weren't as good. But Sylvan is expensive that's why I would buy a lot so I could save money on it.

My daughter loves Sylvan Learning. She goes three times a week for one hour, and she looks forward to it. It takes five minutes from home, and it's right beside a grocery store, so sometimes I get groceries. It’s perfect. I would definitely recommend Sylvan Learning. I really like their point system and how they reward the kids for completing their work. The kids earn points, then there's a prize shelf and each item has a number of points on it. They have to see which item or items they can pick off the shelf using their points as a reward, so they're still doing math using these points. It's smart.

My daughter takes herself to Sylvan Learning, and she's improving week-to-week. One of her scores has gone up with the practice test that she's taking. She has a few more weeks till she reaches her goal of what she started Sylvan for, but as far as I see, I am satisfied. Sylvan Learning is reliable and they are flexible about time. They understand that everybody has their own schedule, so they can't go by a set schedule, and they work with people with that. As far as other decisions with Sylvan that people have to make, they're very considerate.

Judy is the main manager at the facility that we go to and she is very flexible. Judy has been very helpful working around my granddaughter's schedule because she plays softball. She went from having D in math and to getting As to Bs. The cost is high, but it's in line with the other professional services. I have recommended Sylvan Learning Centers to other people.

Alison at Danvers Sylvan Learning is amazing. She works directly with my daughter and my daughter doesn't get along with everyone. She has a hard time warming up and Alison has been so great her to help her warm up. I have dropped my child off not in a good mood and not wanting to get out of the car and Alison goes above and beyond. She's so kind and patient. I can't even express in words what a wonderful tutor and educator she is. They're focusing on math and reading with my daughter and she has told me she feels a little bit more confident when she's in school. It is a little pricey so I probably won't be able to continue it for much longer but it's a great program.

My daughter was struggling in Math her whole junior high school years and she's been having 100s and 95s since school started in August. She's excited to show me a grade. She definitely has done a 360 and her confidence has gotten 10 times better. She had always been eager to learn but with all of the other distractions that were going on, it weighed more on her than trying to grasp it before the semester was over. She's working and loves to go to Sylvan.

Because of proximity to the facilities in rural North Dakota, my child did Zoom calls with Sylvan Learning where he'd have an hour set aside that was dedicated to him. Sometimes it was one-on-one, and sometimes there was one other child. The tutors focused on mostly reading and language comprehension, and they would work through different things. They would push out assignments to students, then they would help them through different areas if they were struggling.

The kids go to Sylvan on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's comfortable for us to be able to get them there and pick them up at that time. So far, we're happy. We've been seeing progress in school. Their grades have come up a little. They earn points they can use to buy gifts and toys. They love that. Everybody is pleasant. The atmosphere is nice. There is no hollering and screaming.

Sylvan Learning is pricey but it's worth the investment that you put out. My kids are excelling. When they first started going there, they were Bs and Fs, and now they are As and Bs. They gave them a test before they started tutoring. Instead of starting them off at the grade level they are, they're filling the pieces in between and build them up from there so all the gaps will be filled by the time they're finished. I am so happy about that. The teachers are wonderful. They help you any time you need help. If I could rate their program from 1 to 10, I would give them an 11. As long as I have breath in me and have the money to pay to go there to see my kids succeed, that is where they are gonna be.

Sylvan has been around since I was a student. We enrolled our child with a focus on phonics. They helped my child start reading. She loves Sylvan and has been doing well. She is able to go back to public school and is ahead in their reading. I would recommend Sylvan. My child loves going there and is definitely better in her phonics. The only thing is the program is a little expensive.

Sylvan helped the kids a lot. They taught and supported them. It was a nice opportunity and a good experience for my kids to learn and study with other than the school teacher.

I have three children going to Sylvan. Two do Reading, and the other one does Math. For Levi, they bring home little words for him to practice and he knows all of them now. For my other son, his reading has improved a lot just with going for the last six weeks. And my other son, his Math is booming because he would go to school and come home and he has an A in Math right now. If your kids are struggling, reach out for tutoring because it's worth it.

My daughter needed tutoring and we had chemistry last year with Sylvan. This year, it's precalculus. The tutors have been wonderful. Her grades picked up. I sent her to the ACT camp that Sylvan had and it raised her ACT score as well. I would definitely recommend Sylvan. They're professional, kind, and compassionate. They care and they're definitely knowledgeable. In class, you have teachers who may teach one particular style and my daughter was getting it but it wasn't quite clicking. Then when you use another teacher, there's a different style and method of doing things, and that was when she grasped it. It was definitely worth it.

They're working currently on reading comprehension with my son. He goes there an hour a day, four days a week. He hasn't complained, which is a miracle. I've had a really long meeting with the manager and she was amazing. Sylvan is worth the investment.

Sylvan Learning Centers has been great for my son. They work with him. They're always nice. Also, I like the scheduling because I'm able to do it in the evening and my son doesn't have to miss school. He always has a lot of fun when he comes out.

I wanted to get tutoring services for my child. I did Sylvan and the focus was reading and math. So far, her grades have improved a lot more. Her confidence is starting to improve a lot more with her answering questions and testing. Sylvan was an amazing program and so was their staff Michelle. She listened and was very attentive as far as helping make the enrollment process a lot easier.

Sylvan is very close to our residence. They're very easy to work with, friendly, and my daughter's grades have improved tremendously for math. She is now in 11th grade. Even last year, when my daughter was in 10th grade taking Math 2, she had a 38 in her class and it went up to an 80. Currently, my daughter is in Math 3 and she is holding an 85 in the class. Our overall experience was wonderful. I can text them to let them know if my daughter will not be attending tutoring. I can switch the dates if they have a tutor available to teach Math 3. They're very accommodating.

We speak Spanish at home and my daughter started kindergarten in COVID time. She was behind when she got in second grade with her reading so I decided to start looking for some tutoring and I found Sylvan. We love the place and we love it there. My daughter did a lot of good effort there and she progressed a lot. Also, the incentive or how they managed the class was awesome and she loved it. Stacey and Savannah are great in leading the place. It was very easy to communicate with them and it's a great program if you need some tutoring.

My son was preparing for his ACT and he took two or three classes with Sylvan. He did well in the ACT. I know ACT and SAT preps are so expensive and the best part about Sylvan is you can take as many classes as you want. There was no written agreement that we have to take 10 classes. It helps with the affordability. I didn't have to pay extra to register and on the day we went, I took my son and they said he could start that same day.

My youngest kid just finished with Sylvan and I have two other kids who went through it, too. They focused on math with my youngest and he seems to have improved. I'd tell others to give Sylvan a go. It's not cheap, but it's effective.

We've been very happy with them. They've been really communicative and easy to work with. Our son is really showing a difference in his reading ability and we've only been at Sylvan for two months. We've recommended it to lots of other families who have children the same age that are struggling with their reading. Their prices are very reasonable.

We're happy with Sylvan Learning. I like the structure and the availability better. There's a different teaching style compared to where we were at before. My children do reading and it worked. They enjoy their time there and feel confident at school. I would recommend Sylvan. The service is expensive compared to some of the other ones, but the flexibility is there.

Sylvan is really close to our house, so we drove by it and we decided to give them a call. It was good. They explained everything to us, and then we had to take the kids in to get tested. After that, we talked to the director, Trey, and we set everything up. My daughter was testing for reading and then my son was math. They both tested below. We already knew that was gonna happen. They've been going for a few weeks now. They like it if they make it fun, but it's still like a learning experience. But they keep them engaged. We’re satisfied. It's expensive, though. They could also be a little bit better on their online tools. I got an email with the website thing, but it doesn't go into a lot of detail about what they've mastered and what they're working on. They could be more engaging on the online part of it.

The lady over the Sylvan Learning Center in Alexandria, Louisiana was very nice. She kept me posted and updated on everything I needed to know. She worked very well with us and helping us get my son, Charlie, tutored. I was trying to get his ACT score up, and they focused on his English, Reading, Math, and Science. My son made his ACT score go up two points, so he did good. I would recommend Sylvan Learning.

I tell people to definitely take Sylvan Learning. It was easy to sign up on their website, and my daughter learned better with their method. She enjoyed it, and she's learning to read.

Our experience with Sylvan has been awesome, so far. Our son has loved it and he's already doing better with school. The staff at our location is awesome. Carson loves them. Cost-wise, it's more than I would want to spend, but it's fine. The flexibility has been great too.

I inquired about private tutoring and it's extremely expensive. Private tutors charge triple the price of what Sylvan charges for a one-on-one session, so I went with Sylvan. It's convenient and economical. It's just a matter of going and waiting for my child, which is the only downturn. Other than than that, we love Sylvan Learning. We have three kids, and whenever I need to change the hours, the director finds a way to do that. I find it to be very accommodating and it's a very friendly staff, which is great.

I was trying to get tutors for my son and when we went over at Sylvan, we realized that it was a school also. They put him in first grade to work with him and get him where he's supposed to be. So, I can say nothing but good stuff about that school. The price of their service is also reasonable. My son always wanted to learn but in his hold school, he would cry and say that he didn’t want to go to school. But at Sylvan, he’d cry when they don’t have class or they hold a school for the summer because he wanted to go to school. He missed his friends and his teachers.

My child's tutor in Reading is awesome. She loves going to Sylvan Learning Centers and so far, she's improving. She didn't want to read before but now, she wants to read everything she can read. Sylvan is really good and I have recommended it to a ton.

I reached out to Sylvan and their customer service reps were very friendly and inviting. My child is a hands-on learner. She's doing Reading, and now, we're starting into Math. We haven't been there too long, but things are going well. The tutors are very friendly and attentive. My daughter doesn't say anything negative about them. For us, Sylvan works.

They're helping my son in ELA which is reading and writing and also Math. They did their own individual testing when we originally started to find out what level my son was at, and then after that, worked with him on getting him up to grade level. Now, we're at the point where he does homework with them, plus some of the Sylvan Learning program work. They've been very responsive and willing to check in with me and my son. Willing to change things up when they feel like he's struggling in a specific area or change things up because he's advanced in a certain area, another challenge in order to keep his mind active and present for the academic year he's in.

We used Sylvan in other states, so we knew that it worked. We had also used that particular one a year and a half ago and our son had great success. This time, our son wasn't behind, but he was right on the cusp of not being above grade level. We wanted to push him over his grade level, so we went back to Sylvan Learning again, and he has definitely improved. He loves going to Sylvan. Always has. He really loves the gift thing where he gets to pick out rewards as well. We're very happy with Sylvan Learning, and I've highly recommended it to many people. Even for older kids, it seems to do really well.

I was looking for an SSAT prep and an organization with an office. And Sylvan Learning has been around for a long time. It’s the only place near us that is open all year long. I'd like to have a teacher meet with my son one-on-one on a weekly basis. The other ones are intense summer camps, which takes three hours every day for three weeks. So, it's too much for the summer. But Sylvan is a few months. My son sees the teacher and then, he can do some online stuff. The teachers and staff are very polite. There are always two teachers per one child for safety reasons. The location is very convenient and the place is very good and clean. It has two doors and Sylvan locks both doors, unless there are a lot of people coming in and out. The experience has been good with Sylvan but it’s too soon to say if my son is gonna improve.

We reached out to Sylvan because they were more specialized. It was attractive because of the flexibility with the hours and the intense one-on-one tutoring. Sylvan was advertised locally and was in close proximity. We did Math and English for our child and the tutor was excellent. The tutors are subject matter experts. Sylvan has been great.
