I visited Aspen Dental Abington, MD, on 08042025. I arrived early to attempt to schedule appointments for myself and my 2 teenage children. This place is so unfriendly, complete with a profiling "Karen", and trying to explain that I want all 3 appointments on the same day was very difficult for the staff member to understand. She kept trying to give me days and times to fill their calendar. Also, they want to schedule x-ray and exams separately from treatment plans...Why should I want to take off two days instead of one day....Which explained why they were empty.

My prediction is that this storefront location will be in decline within the year. Unfriendly staff, unless they are making a commission, and an appointment system that is patient-unfriendly...I will let my teeth rot in my mouth before I patronize this or any Aspen Dental location....In my opinion, they are horrible....Kevin **

If I could give a zero star for Aspen Dental, I would. They are the worst place I’ve ever been to in my life over a year and now they’re trying to bill me 500 and something dollars when my insurance pay plus they had me get a loan I had to pay it back. I never even got a total cost for my Partial. They said they had to give me. I don’t even wear cause it doesn’t even fit right it doesn’t and they said at the end of everything they would owe me money, but that didn’t happen either. Here’s a review or a video of what I just received.

Run, don’t walk AWAY from Aspen Dental!! This place is one of the worst scamming businesses that I’ve ever seen! I am a Medicare recipient and have supplement insurance, to which I can only go to Aspen. If the insurance company can’t figure that Aspen is overcharging them, they’re crazy! AND if the people can’t figure out that they are being scammed, they need a mental evaluation! They’re focused on the elderly with insurance and not totally comprehensive. Okay, I went in for just a plain cleaning! I’m very adamant about taking care of my teeth! I just had my teeth cleaned 6 months previously with an absolutely great dentist but had changed insurance that would pay more for a cap. BAD MISTAKE!

First, they took a tremendous amount of X-rays, then the supposed dentist came in to inspect my mouth and teeth….She took an instrument and INTENTIONALLY PIERCED MY GUM TWICE to which my gum started bleeding and hurt like “H”, to which she stated that I had puss pockets on all my gums, had gingivitis and was all infected, needed a “deep cleaning”, 2 caps, gingivitis treatment, periodontal scaling and root planning???, fluoride (to which I’m allergic to) and the total for insurance was $4467 (because the maximum charge for insurance is $5000), MY COST WAS $$2005! OMG! I was sooo bloody angry that I told them what I thought of them as I went out the door! So, I went over to my old dentist and scheduled a cleaning for $137! I’m canceling my dental insurance tomorrow!

Horrible. Paid in full and they kept billing me and my insurance. Still can't believe emergency life saving surgery is cheaper and so is a complete burial is too. Has to be some regulations especially cleaning surgical procedures room in between patients. A tech came in during my procedure to pull out a device in the corner that still had a partially used iv bag and tubing connected. Pain is another issue. I kept raising my hand because I can feel some of the work. Did not believe the patient. Other states at least regulates heath safety. Have to wait a few more months to get Hep B, C and hiv testing.

I was in a desperate need to have an extraction. I was quoted a fee over the phone. After I arrived and paid the quoted amount, I was told before the extraction that I had to pay more - which doubled the price I initially was told I had to pay. Also, when I called them to convey my displeasure regarding my experience, I was simply told that I was told what I had to pay up front was a down payment for an emergency procedure - which differed from what actually transpired.

I may be a 66 year old, getting by with Social Security, but my faculties are sharp enough to know when I'm being scammed. I wouldn't have come to their business if I was told the FULL price I had to pay. Me and my wife recently moved back to the area, because the cost of living where we were did not equal the meager wages we earned, and I was forced to turn to Social Security in order to survive. We don't have permanent housing, and are living with what we can to get by.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Aspen Dental, due to the shady methodology that enticed me to fall into a further negative financial standing. If they had been more forthcoming with the financial requirements, it could have been a more positive experience - one that could have benefited both parties. Instead, you have an unsatisfied customer, burdened with a further detriment to to my financial survival. G. E. **, Jr.

I do not recommend them, they do not know how to make dentures. I have been using an upper denture for over 40 years and this place does not know how to align the denture to my lower jaw, my bite is completely out of alignment. I paid for the most expensive denture, using my health insurance as well. Now I will have to have a denture made and pay full price for it. So beware, oh and by the way, the first denture was so bad that they redid them, I cannot chew my food properly now.

I was billed for items that were not included in my Treatment Plan/Financial Responsibility contract. I was charged $2,804.00 on a separate billing statement for something that was not on my treatment plan, that I was completely unaware of. I understand their "estimated insurance coverage" would not be accurate. But it wasn't a matter of insurance. This charge was not due to "changes in my treatment", or "upgraded procedures or materials". Plus, wouldn't they inform me that they would be adding this large amount of charges and explain why?! I've made many phone calls trying to resolve this issue. I was told by the Office Manager (after many unresolved calls) that it was an error & I would NOT be billed for this. Today, I received yet another bill, for the same item. This should not be legal! It's deceptive billing & very unfair. I only gave 2 stars because the dental assistant was very good & nice.

I am writing this review, because I just had a chance to compare services and I realize how terrible and scammish Aspen Dental is. My rating for them is minus 10. I had to leave my dental office that was great for me for close to 20 years, because insurance stopped covering them. So, I was in the search for a new one for myself and my husband.

We decided to try Aspen Dental. From the very firs visit I have sensed something fishy: they demand all payments upfront (always more then it should be, and never return the balance & never apply it to the next bill - I had three visits with them) + they started adding to my bill a new electric tooth brush even without asking if I have one!!!, lured me to a deep cleaning that I didn't need with some unnecessary costly meds + they started advertise a new dentures to my husband even the old ones were in a great condition, also they took all x-rays possible even when I told them that we had it done recently and can ask the old office to transfer them to Aspen. Oh, no-no-no, we will take all new ones, of course insurance didn't cover it, but who cares, right? And finally - cherry on the top - "your husband needs this-that-and more of this, and it will cost you 10K". WTF!

When I started asking questions and asking to run some sort of schedule to coordinate it with our insurance (like we did in previous place) the office girl was looking at me like a deer in headlight. We just walked out and never came back. Today we had a visit to a different practice. What a difference! First of all - no upfront payments, no deep cleaning even we are new patience, no fluoride silently added to my bill, no electric brushes and who knows what else, and halleluiah - my husband doesn't need 10K work on his teeth! He needs to fix only one cavity that will cost $60 after insurance coverage! Magic cure! So, If you see Aspen Dental sign - run!

I have been having trouble with my teeth for years so when I had a toothache I went and talked to the dentist and we agreed to pull all of my top teeth and I really trusted the dentist but now I’m not sure I made the right decision.

I wish I would’ve gotten a second opinion but that’s too late now. Then I needed a partial for the bottom so they made it and I can’t even wear it because it hurts so bad and makes sores in my mouth and went back for a lot of fittings and was told they couldn’t do anything else with it so I asked for my money back so today I met with the person who does the billing and was told that I wouldn’t be getting a refund and that I would have to pay more money for the permanent partial and that made no sense to me but I thought I just didn’t understand but I went home and thought about it and it doesn’t make sense so I am going back with my daughter who will be able to figure it out.

I’m really upset because I thought these people were looking out for my wellbeing and now I’m not so sure. I have paid over 4 thousand dollars on my credit card and now I’m seconding guessing everything. When I called back today to say I wanted another appointment so I can bring my daughter they didn’t sound happy and didn’t even say goodbye before hanging up and that makes me mad because normally they are very nice when ever I call.

I had a disappointing experience with this dental office. The clinic was extremely busy, and it felt like the staff and dentist were rushing from one patient to the next and although they diagnosed me with Periodontal disease, I was never seen by a Periodontist because they were "really busy". This truly concerned me as It felt more like a sales pitch than a medical recommendation, which left me feeling uneasy about the motives behind the advice. While the office seemed modern and well-equipped, the overall experience felt impersonal and rushed. I believe dental care should be thorough, transparent, and tailored to the individual—not a one-size-fits-all approach. I won’t be returning. PS: I found a great dentist later that afternoon who did test me and did not agree with this office's diagnosis as all my scores were 3 and under.

On 10 26 2023 I had dentures put in after paying $11,000 in advance. They did not work that night. The bottoms fell out when I tried to eat. After Eight adjustments… Same result. Now 2 years later I have not had one meal without my teeth falling out. I have lost 60 pounds, have many physical issues like malnutrition, extreme weight loss, very extreme eczema, and anxiety, caused by Aspen Dental, supported and documented by my three doctors. I made many requests to the incompetent doctors and to the CEO and chief legal officer … They never answered one of them. They blocked my phone, and illegally dismissed me when I asked to have my teeth fixed … illegal because they did none of the seven ADA requirements for a dismissal.

Aspen CEO has a warranty to fix or refund money if someone is unhappy with their work… That's why I chose them. Aspen offered me $.20 on the dollar from my purchase and I didn’t do anything wrong. I asked to see a copy of the contract where I signed for such a thing, and after a dozen request I gave up. They have abused me significantly, and discriminated against me as I am a 78-year-old man with a disability, which doctor ** mocked me about.

It would cost about $2000 to $3000 in incremental cost to give me lower implants, and Dr. ** has spent many times more on legal fees. Dr. ** came in to my appointment because I said I wanted my teeth fixed and screamed at me and got into my face, spitting all over me calling me names about my age and my disability And told me to get out of office or he'll call the police, The department of Justice said we should look at mediation and I agreed, but Dr. ** refused. Aspen Dental ABANDONED me, a sick patient, with my dentures never working, not one day in two years.

Then I told Amanda that I can't afford that she then left came back with she said the same plan but she cut the expensive cleaning off so now I was at a balance of around 620. Without using my approved credit. So when I went my appointment I was thinking I was getting extraction and a bridge only to see she had changed my plan to a denture.

I tried to explain to the Doctor what happened. She I guess had talked to Amanda. Acted like she was there when it discussed and told me I changed everything. Very rude. However I ended up getting my bridge put after 2 days of a horrible bridge that didn't fit at all. I lost 2 pounds because I couldn't eat or sleep. It was bad. Then I had to go deal with finance lady to change things up. Not only was she rude. I was given a much bigger quote plus use my credit given. Same service quote given by Amanda but all of a sudden like 3000 dollars more. I don't understand why. Anyway I could only afford to get one done. Supposedly get back from my bridge. (I tried to leave zero stars but won’t let you submit.) I was very excited to be new Aspen Dental patient after retiring from the military. Online scheduling was a snap and worked perfect with my schedule - that was the only good thing about the rest of my experience. I arrived early as I figured I’d have paperwork to do. I completed it and was still a few minutes early before my appointment time. I was seen 15 minutes after my scheduled time - even though a lot of staff were sitting up near reception and playing with an employee's child that they had brought to work.

I was taken back, person never introduced themselves or explained what we were about to do. Next thing we’re doing 18 x-rays as well as a panographic xray - none of which were explained or asked of my consent (I had just had these done 6 months prior and my records had been forwarded to this office). Then I was taken to a room where a 3D image was taken, again without my consent and then the person left - never told me what was happening or when to expect someone.

Then another person came in, again no introduction, just told me they don’t normally work there and she doesn’t understand their system or set up. She checked my gums. Made a note then departed - never said what was happening next or who would be coming in. I sat there 25 minutes and no one checked on me - so I got up and left. Not a single person stopped me or asked if I needed anything or followed me out to parking lot. They never even called me to see if I was okay? I contacted my insurance when I got home and told them all this and to dispute any charges they submit as I never received services nor consented to any of the x-rays. So disappointed to have this be my first civilian experience after 33 years of military care.

Aspen Dental in Berlin, MD pulled a fast one! I've had United Dental coverage with them for more than a few years. Imagine my surprise when I got a call from the local Manager, Ra'Shiem **, asking that I pay in full when I come in for my upcoming teeth cleaning/exam, and that, upon my questioning, said I would then be reimbused by my insurance company. I did indeed receive a check afterwards - for about a quarter of the amount. United said it was because it was out of network - ???? I go back to the manager, who tells me his company had indeed contacted everyone that they dropped all insurance coverage.

Upon meeting with the manager, he said he would escalate this issue, and probably be issued a credit or refund - in a couple of days. Not surprisingly, no response for 2 weeks. I go back again, and from there, he essentially threw up his hands and said it was now in the hands of the next higher up. Nice bait and switch! By the way, I did have great service by my hygenist and dentist.

Unfortunately, I have acquired debt for services rendered that were not necessary. Provider stated I had periodontal disease. This affected the price of a cleaning in Shelby office. Provider did not take recession measurements for each tooth and surmised that I had 11 level 5 recessions. I was in the chair from 2 pm until 5 pm, mostly waiting on the provider to return from seeing another patient. As a result of preparing a cracked tooth for a crown, my jaw was swollen and bruised for 2 weeks. He cut the inside of my cheek with the drill. He also stated I had a cavity.

I decided to switch to another dentist. This dentist did the recession measurements, and my levels are 1-3, which is indicative of a healthy gum (and not periodontal disease)! The cleaning was set up in two separate sessions at a cost of $327, $25 x6, $32, $178, $46 = $733! This was unnecessary! I had to acquire CareCredit coverage to afford this expense, and it was NOT NECESSARY! Oh, BTW...no cavity!

I told the dentist or man who made them and he said my original denture was too big but now the teeth are just too small which makes me look like a I have no top teeth. Other than that all was ok.. After she had been back there awhile we were told the 'doctor' wouldn't extract the tooth today and were 'given the business' on how they were going to send all their kids to Harvard after they were done with us.

I tried to explain why we came in to begin with but there was no reasoning with him. When I told him how this would look on social media he became irate, almost shouting as he stormed down the hallway, "you want me to pull her tooth ? I can do it right here!", spinning a chair around with a smack of his hand. We had already heard his profanity laced bravado from the other room so by now there was nOoo way I was letting this crazed charlatan touch my wife and we walked out immediately! Do not go here. Shortly after we arrived there was an altercation with a man who was told that they didn't accept his insurance after he had confirmed it online. He and his son ended up leaving, obviously pissed. If I could Aspen Dental 10 stars I would. Aspen Dental in Appleton Wi did for me in 2 1/2 weeks what my dentist could not do in almost 6 months and two attempts at upper dentures. The very poor fit, needing an adhesive and even then they would pop out when eating. Finally they agreed to refund my money and I went to Aspen Dental.

Upon entering the clinic I was greeted by very friendly receptionists. I was taken back and immediately given X-Rays, an exam and IMPRESSIONS!!! Then I picked out color and level of denture and payment arrangements. Dr. ** actually did the impressions NOT the assistant. I was so impressed with her. On the very first appt!!! (not digital) Stay far away from that nasty technique. Regular conventional dentures done with impressions if done right most often you don't need an adhesive and suction builds. I have found this not to be the case with digital. Yes they may "look nice" but everything else not adequate compared to the good old, old fashion way.

The next appt I met Oscar another dental assistant. I had a tooth pulled (bottom) almost painless. A few days later the wax try in. I had to come back for a second wax try in something minor was not right. When I returned a couple days later they were perfect. I signed a paper stating the color and everything was correct. I returned a few days later to pick up my dentures. I cried!!! Tears of JOY. Aspen Dental and their team gave me my life back! I had to explain to Oscar and Dr. ** that I was crying because I was happy. I could tell IMMEDIATELY the FIT WAS PERFECT. They gave credit where credit was due and brought in the lovely denture maker/technician. What an asset for this team. I feel horrible I forgot her name.

I cannot say enough good about Aspen Dental and I will be going there for ALL of my dental needs. I have searched all over the internet to find reviews on denture experiences and this is why I find myself compelled to share my horrible experience with a different dentist that has to "send out" the dentures and molds vs Aspen Dental who has technicians ON SITE. Billing was simple too. They gave me many discounts and they were actually less expensive than the horrible place where they couldn't get them right. I hope I saved someone the horrible experience I had going to my regular dentist who didn't specialize in dentures like Aspen Dental does.

I am not sure if all Aspen Dental offices are run the same way, but this location in completely untrustworthy. Multiple issues occurred when I was treated at the Aspen Dental Hamilton OH. To begin with the dentist misread a xray. not until I had to demand my pain being addressed did they schedule me for another visit, This time it was a dentist from another office and that dentist determined I had another tooth that was causing the pain. This also affected my next appointment for extractions and partial denture..

During that visit I asked/confirmed and expressed my concern that my treatment plan would change, even the visiting dentist said it was a good thing I came in not just because of the pain, but also to ensure the partial would be made correctly, I was even told what the difference in cost would be. Needless to say no one followed through, and the partial was not done correctly. On the day of the extraction, the dentist was very blasé, and just continued to basically blame the other dentist. Regardless of what staff member(s) dropped the ball is not the point. After my teeth were extracted, I was advised that the partial was not correct and they had to make another impression, which entailed them having to put the compound in my mouth right after I had my teeth pulled.

I was apprehensive because there were particles left in my mouth when they had done this originally, and I was worried that it would get into my open wound. Also, in the written care instructions, it stated after the dental procedure to put the partial in your mouth and do not take it out for 24 hours, but that no longer applied since they made a mistake. There were so many lies ranging from the accuracy of appointment times, how long it takes to make a partial denture, obtaining X-rays, to charging .30 on my credit card that Heidi said it would not be charged. It was not about the .30, it was just another lie.

When I came back to the office hours after my extractions I picked up the "Modified" partial, my mouth was incredibly sore and the Novocain had pretty much completely wore off, I did not want to have another person push and poking in my mouth. Also, when I was leaving the dentist mentioned a discount, not on the extractions but for the partial. I would like a response to my issues and the discount, and how soon that will be credited to my HSA account.

I was wary about going to Aspen, due to their poor reputation, but did because of the ease of getting appointments quickly (Meadville, PA). Poor decision on my part. A female doctor removed the remnants of tooth, bone of two front teeth. This Dr. also tried to pressure me into procedures I do not need. A week after the procedure and receiving a partial for my two front teeth I was in immense pain. I assumed I possibly has dry socket. I called Aspen Meadville and they did get me right in. A male doctor informed the female Dr. neglected to remove all bone and the area was infected.

I had to go through the procedure again, get stitches again, and antibiotics. Once my pain abated, I noticed that the front teeth of the partials Aspen made me were grossly undersized. They are too short by far, friends and family have commented on the poor job by Aspen. The only thing positive to say about Aspen of Meadville is that the office workers and assistants are polite and pleasant. I plan on getting two implants within the next year, but will definitely not go to Aspen Dental.

They were not so friendly this time but they relined it. He still went back and told the dentist it wasn't working and needed a new denture made. He said there wasn't anything wrong with the one he had and he was yelling. I told them our contract stated that if we was not satisfied we could get it remade or our money returned. He continued yelling at us. Said we definitely was not getting our money back. Finally my husband told him he did not appreciate him yelling at us.

That kind of brought him back to reality and he agreed to make a new plate. My husband went in to pick it up, tried it on and told the assistant that the denture was coming out on both sides. She told him that was normal. The dentist never came in to adjust it and the teeth looked like they belonged in a donkey's mouth. I guess the dentist got his revenge on us for asking for the denture to be remade. I can't even give a rating of 1 because it was so terrible!! He's got two dentures and neither one fits. There was a crown build up done in 2024 and the bill is continuously sent to me and they state insurance hasn't paid. I verified with insurance and they stated they've never received a bill from this dental office? I conveyed the issue to the manager and she sounded like she could care less. She stated she was sending to the billing dept and they would submit electronically the way they do it. I offered to the manager that I had a fax for them to use and she corrected me that they submit electronically and they do not sway from that. I once again offered the fax and asked what could be done? She did not offer a solution or any type of mitigation because this bill was 1 year old.

DO NOT use this facility: in the past 3 years the staff has been a total revolving door so I'm not sure what they can't keep competent staff. If an office cannot resolve insurance issues DO NOT GO unless you plan to be a cash patient. I had a crown cracked by one their dentists and did mention it but in general the staff there is highly incompetent and useless.

The lack of transparency of the business office was not discovered until months after my initial visit. Continual inadequate explanations regarding slow healing, procedures, and costs, and significant issues with dental prosthetics provided. On several occasions I was forced to wait in an uncomfortable dental chair for hours with no one even checking on me. Instances when information regarding the treatment process were not made clear or apparent, staff would come and go not stating what to expect next. When signing treatment agreement I felt rushed, pressured to apply for credit to pay for a treatment that was entirely out of my affordability. Denture prices themselves, being reasonable, because that is all the refund you can possibly get returned with the money back guarantee, less the partials.

Meanwhile, I spent $7,000 for just for extractions and follow up care. The warranty specifics are misleading. I was told afterwards there is no warranty or moneyback guarantee on my broken partial I was told to wait until the permanent dentures were made so they would match. You discontinued the Comfilytes brand 3 months before my permanent dentures, without informing me. So now I don't get what I was signed a contract for. So how did that affect my 7 year denture warranty?. NEVER were an additional cost associated with the permanent lower partial mentioned until they suggested a mesh wire in the platex that would cost more. I refused, absolutely and quickly.

I asked to purchase the entire upper and bottoms and chose to pay for it all upfront. Due to the issues, it created so much lack of confidence in your business practices. I was unable to get reliable, timely care. Unclear explanations regarding the process for fitting dentures and partials were insufficient, leading to misunderstandings and dissatisfaction.

The dentures provided were ill-fitting, after multiple fittings, and numerous visits, the bite was continually off and the denture was so loose they freely fell from my mouth. The partial has broken twice, indicating poor quality or improper fitting, the opportunity to rectify it was dismissed. The final upper denture created was a different gum color and tooth appearance than I desired, was ill-fitted, and a suggested reline was recommended to tighten the fit.

It has been made clear I am not even able to TRY on the final set until I signed for them and they wanted me to pay over 1400 dollars for the lower partial, I was supposedly not previously billed for, even though payment on full was charge to my credit card. I was notified of this additional cost the same day I was went to get my permanent set. I was assured I had chosen the best and paid in full for "the top of the line" ComfiLytes upper and lower partial permanent dentures, extractions, sedation, immediate set, and inclusive with adjustments reline, and all aftercare. 100% money-back guarantee, with a 7-year warranty. So, instead of doing the right thing, offer me a 2,000 refund. I haven't had useable teeth for 9 months!

I have a misfitted, falling out set of dentures. A partial that was ill-fitting and broke, then repaired by thinning the area of the break to repair only to break again. Then I was informed there is no warranty on the partial. I quote, "The information you were provided was for the dentures, not partial". I feel this entire experience has affected my social life, marriage and personal confidence.

So after many questions and concerns which I was told by aspen's staff that they knew what insurance covered and did not because they wok with them every day and even showed me on paper what they paid so I applied for care credit and was approved.

Got he work done and had a great Dentist and staff do the work and was going in for the check ups until a couple of months later when I was hit with a surprise bill of almost three thousand dollars more after insurance and care credit and that the initial loan and bill to insurance was only an estimate but asked who would sign up for any work to be done knowing they could randomly charged thousands extra at any time? Defies logic! I called my insurance company to see why these things were not covered and was told that if aspen's employee would have followed the proper procedure this mistake would have never happened and that they were launching an investigation for deceptive practice. When I told aspen about the investigation they said they were doing one themselves and would get back to me which resulted in no return call and a month later a letter because they turned me into a collection agency.

I called the office two hours after being seen and the front staff said they didn't send the medication, to give them an hour to check with the dr. I called back an hour and a half later and they said they were working on it. I called CVS to see if they received the order and again, they had not.

I call back their office and asked to speak with a manager. I was put on hold and then transferred to a number that just rang and no one picked up. I tried their office again and was put on hold and then hung up on. I reached out to their corporate number on their website, (844) 296-0187. The person I contacted tried to reach out to their office and couldn't get ahold of anyone. I was then transferred to their national emergency line. I explained the situation and they said would make sure my prescription would get sent.

Magically, one of my prescriptions showed up in my CVS app. I then received a call from Dr **. She said that she sent my prescription to CVS twice and that CVS might be out of stock, and then good bye. No apologies, no asking how I am doing. Just the bare minimum to say they "followed up". However, a few hours after my visit, I received a call informing me that they were no longer in-network and that I was now responsible for the full cost of the service.

I objected immediately, pointing out that I had explicitly verified this information with them multiple times, but they admitted it was an oversight on their part. Despite their mistake, they insisted I pay for the $200 cleaning, and when I refused, they sent me to collections and now want $240. This has been an extremely frustrating and unfair experience. (6) I now have to pay $5000.00 for teeth, plus pay an oral surgeon. (6) I have 2 teeth on lower and new dentist tells me I have a cavity that Aspen never mentioned.

I basically had to pay $4200.00 to have my teeth pulled. I had to make 20 trips to address these issues, all these are separate issues. This has affected me negatively in many ways. I am depressed. I am now ashamed to go out in public. I am totally stressed out about paying for this as I have no insurance and I need the surgery and wonder how long I can go losing weight as I have.

The only good thing I can say is the local office people were very nice, because they knew how awful all this was for me. Their corporate office doesn’t care. How could they keep that much of my money. All that $$$$ just to pull my teeth. They are a ripoff. I am consulting with attorneys now. I do have receipts, recordings, and photos.

I was not informed of any part of my bill until after the services and did not understand what they charged me for. I only went in for partials and they talked me into a cleaning then they billed me for deep cleaning services they did not provide. They charged me over $1000 for cleaning my teeth which took 15 minutes. That isn’t even the cost of what they sent my insurance. I just had my teeth cleaned 5 months prior (by another dentist) and was only going to Aspen to get partials.

I thought I had found a good dentist to rely on at Aspen Dental but, unfortunately, I can no longer depend on him or his staff. My disappointment came when my personal dentist at this facility would not respond to a letter I sent addressed to him (Attention: Dr. **) to ask about a $633 charge, nor did any member of his staff respond (I actually sent two letters). I had spoken to someone in the office and she told me she would refile the claim. So I didn't pay immediately. Insurance denied it, which I knew it would, so I wanted to speak to Dr. ** about it. He never responded. When I turned up a couple of weeks later for my routine check-up, the staff denied my visit and told me I have to pay the charge before Dr. ** would see me again. Now, I always pay my bills, even if its on a payment plan, but I wanted to talk to Dr. ** about this particular charge because I was trying to avoid it.

Because he left the examining room after I asked about insurance paying for this charge (I assume) to check with the insurance person at the desk, I thought he had verified that the procedure would be covered. It's a $633 misunderstanding, which I am paying off at $50 a month. Herein lies my problem with Aspen: it is run like a business rather than a healthcare facility. The most offensive part is their refusal to see me for my check-up and cleaning (which is 100 per cent covered - no charges would have been incurred). I must have healthcare providers that answer my letters or phone calls. I cannot be thought of as such an insignificant patient that neither doctor or staff can take the time to answer my questions. In retrospect, although Dr. ** is excellent in every way (except communication), the front desk has always been difficult. Snooty and uncaring. I guess that's what you get when healthcare becomes a business just like any other.

I had severe tooth decay between my teeth that the only solution was to remove all my teeth (20) and replace them with dentures. On 27 Jan 2025, I visited Aspen Dental Yulee, Fl for a x-ray and dental exam. The dentist told me all my teeth had to be removed and agreed on dentures. After meeting with the dentist, I was told to see the business manager for the cost. The dental plan was over $12,000. I told the business manager that I could not afford that amount.

The dental plan had no value for discount coupon, despite their website advertisement stating 25% off dentures. I asked if they had senior citizen discount or veteran discount, and the answer was no. My insurance would pay $2500 and she applied an insurance discount of over $6000, leaving a balance over $3500. I still said that I am on a fixed income and did not have the money. She said do not worry, she had applied for Credit Card and they will loan the me $3000 at $88 per month for 3 years. I had been in a lot of pain in the last month and this looked like the best deal. I paid the balance with my debit card and my dental plan had a balance of zero.

Two days later, I had my teeth extracted and was fitted with temporary dentures. I went home and several hours later, the Novocain wore off, the dentures rubbed against my gum and caused pain that I had to take the dentures. My gums were swollen, still bleeding and had either bone or tooth protruding through the gum in several location. I waited a week to go back for the free adjustment but was told that I owed an additional $3178 and I could not get the adjustments unless the balance was paid in full. I did not have the money for this surprise bill and left the office. I have tried several times to talk with the business manager by phone and in person but she has not been available, returned my phone calls, not set an appointment to discuss the outstanding balance. In March, I received a Summary of Activity stating I owed $3178 and this was the final notice.

I did not know what to do. How can Aspen Dental charge me when I have a dental plan that showed a zero balance. The bill I received did not match the amounts as listed in the dental plan. Upon a detail inspector of the dental plan, I was charged $800 each for top and lower dentures to upgrade from classic to signature dentures. This was not explained in detail when the dental plan was presented. I found out later that the basic dentures upper and lower, each cost at Aspen Dental was $452 but I was quoted the basic dentures, upper and lower, each were $1749. Classic dentures on Aspen Dental website was being offered at a 25% discount and so was the signature dentures. But no such discount included my dental plan.

Also, I was billed for a tooth extraction for tooth that was a post and crown. I am sure the cost to remove the crown is not the same as a tooth extraction. I realize now that I had been duped into signing a dental plan that had a zero balance, only to charge me an additional $3,178 after all my teeth had been extracted. I think this is a unfair business practice, is illegal. As of today, I cannot wear the dentures, I still have round white bumps on my gums with either bone or tooth protruding. I used all my insurance, dental insurance for 2025 and have to wait until next year to find a dentist to determine the damage that was done to my gums and to be fitted with new pair of dentures.

Aspen Dental here in Roseburg, Oregon has a outstanding Dentist, Dr. O. However, his staff not so much. Aspen Dental had billed the insurance company for a crown replacement. I paid the required co-pay and the work proceeded. A temporary crown was placed while the permanent crown was being designed and made. I was asked to come in when completed for the fitting. I was informed at the front desk by the manager of the office that I had owed an additional $98 due to an error in billing. I replied that I had agreed to my co-pay originally and now through an error on their part I was supposedly now obligated to pay the additional money.

I was kept waiting for over an hour in the dental chair as Dr. O had a patient that required quite a bit of additional time, and I understand these things happen, however they told me the charges were the result of inaccurate billing, not really caring that I was the one inconvenienced. I had even asked about having a "Veterans Discount" but do to the billing process with "Regence" if a discount could be applied, they would reduce that amount in "New billing" so any discount would be null and void. What about just acknowledging an error was made, and "Aspen Dental" will just take care of it, you know on their end of the transaction and out of "their profit" on a very expensive and profitable piece of dental work. You know its "nice to be important, but more important to be nice".

I have no issue with Dr. O and by the way he is leaving Aspen Dental for his own practice in the state of Washington, no doubt he is a little upset with their practices I would assume also. I would never go back to Aspen Dental and my friends and family if I can help it, will never be referred to there by me. When you are in charge of the front office, your most important job is insuring a comfortable experience where the customer feels special and well taken care of.

Just because you are in charge you shouldn't take advantage of your position just because you "can". You can learn to be kind and make an attempt to "try" to help as best you can. In this case, the amount of "$98 is trivial and should be the cost of doing business to prevent "scathing" reviews. How many potential patients will now never go to Aspen Dental, how much business will they lose because of their arrogance?

Next, I needed a mouth guard. The assistant placed the tray in my mouth but held it in her hand the whole time with a fully outstretched arm which she kept moving as she looked away tapping on her phone repeatedly. After exactly one minute, (which she timed) she removed the tray, which wasn’t set. This happened four times, and it was still wet on the last try. At this point I was frustrated but still said nothing.

Finally, a staff member came in to schedule my next filling. I’d waited over a year for this filling-bonding, and after showing her multiple times, the lady said the doctor said it was #5 tooth, (which indeed it is not). She then said she is not a clinician and walked out. The doctor then entered and told me "I don't have time for this today." I had no idea what was happening. I did not ask the lady to have it done that day.

I respected this practice, but this incident and poor communication left me embarrassed, insulted, and disrespected; as if I annoyed them. I was having some right jaw pain went in to hopefully fix the issue. The girl shaved all the back teeth down saying my bite was off which made my jaw pain worse! I can barely keep the denture in my mouth. I go get fitted for my permanent denture which I thought would go great because the actual dentist was doing the wax try in. I explained to her I wanted them to mimic my immediate denture teeth size and color. First try in the denture was too big for my mouth only issue. She didn’t need second mode. On the second wax try in teeth size and color changed and the denture is still too big.

I voiced my concerns to the dentist and she promised that she was personally handle my concerns and make the denture perfect for me. I believed and trusted her, I go to pick up my permanent denture the color is off teeth size not corrected and they fall right out of my mouth! Way too big. Oh I forgot to mention I called the office manger regarding services that I was charged for and never received the treatment! She never called me back. I was told at my appointment that she was no longer with the company. I asked to speak with my dentist and she was unavailable. I am out thousands dollars and toothless! I am in the process of contacting a lawyer to look into the billing issue. I did get a refund but it was a slap in my face considering I have to start the process all over again and walk around with no teeth!

It's money, money, money. I was going to have my dentures done there, that is why we purchased the Aspen Dental plan, the commercial on TV is fraudulent, the whole place is totally fraudulent, in my opinion Nick needs to be fired and a professional needs to take his place. I am not happy with my experience at Aspen Dental, I guess if you don't mind seeing multiple dentist over your procedure, calling and leaving multiple voicemail (this has happened not just a time or two, but multiple times). Also I don't know why they give you a estimate of your cost after insurance pays, because it has never been right, and had to pay more than estimated out of pocket, which sure adds up and not money I have to spend, it's very, very frustrating.

I've been going to them a couple of years on my procedure (and yes reached out to other dentist, but other dentists will not take you on after procedure started under someone else, even tried going to a different branch of there's...) have never been pain free from my procedure, maybe part of it is me, my body just giving a issue, idn. My jaw never locked up or popped in my life, and does routinely now. The staff is always very friendly, and seem to care, but that still does not take care of all my issues. I sure wish I would have done more looking up them before I started all this with them, would never recommend, and I've had a lot of Dental issues my life and this is by all means my worst experience.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this dental office. Six years ago, during the height of COVID, I was supposedly diagnosed with periodontal disease and was denied a routine cleaning covered by my insurance. Instead, they insisted I needed a deep cleaning, which was not covered and would cost me around $1,000.

Recently, I called to schedule a regular cleaning because my current dentist was fully booked, but they still refused to schedule me for a standard cleaning. They claimed I needed a full evaluation first to determine the “care needed.” This is highly frustrating and feels like an attempt to upsell unnecessary procedures rather than provide basic dental care. Their policies seem designed to prioritize profit over patient care, and I do not feel they have my best interests in mind. I cannot recommend this office to anyone looking for ethical and patient-centered dental services.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Aspen Dental in Olean was nothing short of a complete waste of time and an obvious money grab. I originally scheduled an appointment months ago to have a filling replaced. The soonest they could get me in was six weeks out, which was frustrating but understandable. However, two weeks before my appointment, they canceled on me. I rescheduled—this time for two fillings—and waited another three weeks for that appointment. When I finally arrived, the hygienist informed me they would only be doing ONE filling—something they conveniently failed to mention when I made the appointment. I explained that I needed both fillings replaced, and they were right next to each other. She left the room, came back, and took an unnecessary X-ray, which felt like a stall tactic.

Then the dentist came in and, instead of actually doing his job, asked which “area” I’d like him to look at today. I repeated that I needed both fillings replaced, and he flat-out refused, stating they only look at one area per visit—and worse, he wasn’t going to fix anything that day. Just “look.” At that point, I got up and walked out. This place is running a complete racket. It’s not about the money—I have excellent insurance that covers everything 100%. It’s about the principle and their total disregard for my time and comfort just to maximize their profits. They intentionally drag out treatment to squeeze more out of insurance companies and waste patients’ time in the process. Avoid this place at all costs. Go to a real dentist who actually values their patients instead of treating them like a paycheck.

Despite reaching out multiple times, I have only heard back from a regional manager, and even then, there has been no further communication or sign of a refund for the services I was unhappy with. In an effort to seek accountability, I reported my concerns to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), only to find that Aspen Dental's response included the wrong person’s name. This level of oversight is truly disappointing and reflects a lack of attention to detail and customer care.

I want to be clear that I am not trying to tarnish anyone's reputation, but the lack of support and resolution is beyond frustrating. I expected better service and communication from a dental practice, especially after investing so much into my care. I hope this review serves as a caution to others considering Aspen Dental. Then after I told the doctor and the nurse it takes him a bit to wake up after anesthesia the doctors pulled my husband from the dentist chair by his back of ears and jaw and told him he was taking too long and it was time for him to go. The blood was gushing out of his mouth. I took him back about an hour after his surgery, they said there was no reason on why there was so much blood.

Ended up taking him to the ER, they automatically put him in a room due to the blood, they thought he got shot in the mouth. It took 3 treatments and 2 pain medicines to get the bleeding to slow down, they at first thought they never stitched him up after the surgery and they found a hole in the back of his jaw. Then the temp dentures that he has to keep using a vacation day for still don't fit and after a month he has not been able to eat solid food or wear the temp dentures. They keep doing impressions and still can't get it right. This is unacceptable and based on the Better Business Bureau reviews seems like this is a trend with this company.

I saved $10,000 dollars. Based on the owner's estimate at Aspen Brockton, Mass Westgate Drive. I am disabled so in spite of infections and pain I endured to save my funds and waited. They made a deal for 2 dentures, 4 screws each and removal of 9-11 pieces of what was left of my teeth. No x rays were taken. "I found that odd" as it had been 3 years from the last? The story and issues are long so I will cut it down to this: 45 days after paying 4700.00 of the 9700.00 total price I show up to scheduled appt. They demand another 4,000 before starting.

I can't get the money for 3-5 days so delayed to 5 more weeks. Pay them. Now 3 months has gone by. They pull and sew up 6 teeth with a local I am in and out in 15 mins or less. (complete). Such horrific pain I go off and am throwing up with chest pains at home. I take blood thinners. They knew this. They called my doctor before work but surgeon knew nothing. Came back 3 weeks later for appt to see how I was doing and I wanted to say a lot but never bothered after seeing a denture tech. They sent me to accounting and requested $7,000.00 dollars more! I lost it! These people are scum! I am setting up to sue them. I left out many issues and details of ignorant treatment. For god sake. Stay away from these evil sick offices. It's 100% scam.

The dental hygienist was friendly, attentive, and very good at her job. An individual who acted as a sort of administrator/sales associate seemed unfamiliar with their fancy new x-ray equipment regarding an elected procedure. Oh well, I didn't need it. My real issue is with whoever submits requests for prior approval to the insurance. Insurance companies today are fastidious with regard to billing details. This location at Aspen Dental seemed incapable of correctly submitting these requests. After repeated time-wasting calls to both my insurance and Aspen Dental I twice wrote the local dentist, Dr. **.

In these snail mail letters I specifically described the brief details my insurance required for the prior approval for an occlusal guard. She, or they, never properly complied! I still need one! Just recently I discovered that I owe Aspen Dental $72.60 due to preventative dental procedures I received back in March 2024. Why? Because Aspen Dental again had failed to explicitly describe these procedures to my insurance, which covers 100% of preventative care.

Negative -10 stars, my husband back in 2012 was having dentures and teeth extracted, we had done sort of insurance but we ended up with care credit for the rest of the cost. Our original dentist was sick the day of extractions and putting temp dentures in, here’s the original problem, when our dentist was sick there was what we assumed was an oral surgeon since she was the only one dressed like that, they made me stay in waiting room, 2 1/2 hours later this dentist says she can’t remove the bottom teeth, I go back there they're blood pouring out of his mouth, I told her to put stitches in, her condescending we don’t do that, she was snickering with a tech in the hallway and I got mad steaming mad, grand traverse oral surgery did the bottom, took the surgeon 30 minutes with stitches to remove bottom teeth.

I found out that the dentist that butchered his mouth on the top had never pulled teeth before, she quartered his teeth, after a week, he thought he was dying, took him to our doctor come to find out his whole top of his mouth had bone exposed, called Aspen, our regular dentist stayed over after hours and was crying tears over what that dentist did to his mouth, she ended up having to slice his gums and remove bone to get his mouth sewed up, she apologized for what he went thru, needless to say his mouth is now misshapen up top and the dentures would not stay in.

It was when we got his records, all of a sudden our dentist had been transferred to Georgia, we lawyered up, Aspen ended up paying for dental implants (2) to make the dentures fit, they had to put bone grafts in the top of his mouth to put the (2) implants in! It still ended up costing us 10 grand but he could actually eat again after 9 months of hell with Aspen,

Fast forward to today, they have completely changed that office to DEI hires, nobody does anything but 1 thing they have 5 people behind the counter and their combined IQ is less than 100, the post on the top of the denture came out, needed it glued back in, they made a huge deal like we would have to see a dentist and mouth impression for a post (it’s a small tiny round piece) I had it with me, they're going to argue about it, I told them they were guaranteed, they said they don’t do that, I told them yes they did. Also when they pulled the teeth on top, they gave him a script for penicillin (big red letters on his chart) allergic to **, the pharmacist caught it. Still have that script. They are vile and disgusting, ripping off seniors Shame Shame, shame🤬🤬🤬🤬

Scheduled an appointment for a dental exam and x-rays. I'm having a left hip replaced and the surgeon recommended I get an exam to make sure there were no hidden abscesses. It's been 33 years since I've seen a dentist because the last one I saw caused two molars to shatter after replacing fillings. I've had the broken teeth for over 30 years with no issues and during that time have had 7 different surgeries, including my right hip replacement less than a year ago. The dentist was very condescending with me and told me he would not clear me for surgery until I had the retained root tips removed from the broken teeth. Mind you, they never hurt, have been that way over 30 years and were never an issue before.

By the time they were done writing up everything they expected me to do it had blossomed from simply removing the root tips into almost $7000 worth of services. I completely felt like I was being blackmailed by the dentist to commit to thousands of dollars in services in order to get a clearance for a critical surgery. Thankfully, my surgeon isn't requiring a clearance but only suggested the exam and this money hungry charlatan was unable hold my surgery hostage and extort me for thousands of dollars.

Quincy Ill. Roughly 6 months ago my dog ate my denture.. so I go to this place.... I was NOT happy with my denture.. I looked at the tech and said.."This ain't my smile"... "It's a smile but it ain't my smile". Tech said "It looks nice". I replied "It's not bad but it ain't mine".. I pull out my phone and find a picture from a few weeks and showed the tech.. her eyes got big and she said ."Whoa, you're right". She said "The dentist will be right in". The dentist showed up..I explained to her that this wasn't my smile.. She acted almost offended that I even had the nerve to say anything to her about it.. The dentist looked at me and said "In short you're stuck with those". And walked out the room.. I looked at the tech. She looked at me eye wide-open.. I was gonna give these new teeth a chance... So here I am 6months later.. and I'm disgusted with this smile Im stuck with "In short".. Very unprofessional...

As a snowbird, my 6 month checkup had to be in FL. Confirmed insurance information with Aspen Dental and scheduled a routine checkup and cleaning. They will not provide a general cleaning if you do not follow their "treatment plan". The estimate for mine was $2800 with additional visits required every 3 months. I declined.

I had a terrible experience at Aspen Dental in Fall River, MA and want to warn others. I scheduled a routine cleaning after confirming my insurance was accepted, but when I arrived, they refused to do the cleaning and instead pushed me into unnecessary, expensive procedures.

🔹 Bait-and-Switch – They assured me my insurance covered a standard cleaning but refused to provide one, claiming I needed a $5,000 deep cleaning and ongoing treatments.
🔹 Unnecessary X-Rays – They required x-rays but didn’t inform me it would count as my one covered x-ray for the year, preventing me from seeking care elsewhere unless I paid out of pocket.
🔹 False Diagnosis & Sales Pressure – I have excellent oral hygiene, yet they falsely claimed I had severe gum disease and pressured me into costly procedures and a payment plan.

🔹 Emotional Distress – I left in tears, feeling manipulated and deceived. Their office manager even admitted they failed to set proper expectations but refused to take responsibility.

Aspen Dental has a history of deceptive practices, including a $3.5 million lawsuit settlement in Massachusetts, yet they continue to mislead patients. I had to take time off work for this two-hour nightmare and strongly urge others to avoid Aspen Dental.

I can’t say enough good things about this practice. I have severe dental anxiety and every single person I encountered during my two visits did their best to make me feel at ease. I was greeted with a warm smile upon my arrival and after sharing that I have dental anxiety, it was clear every effort was made to help me feel as comfortable as possible. One terrible periodontist ruined me for dentistry decades ago but every positive dental experience helps me get a little closer to trusting again and the wonderful folks at Murfreesboro Aspen Dental helped me take one step forward in that direction. I’m grateful to them for listening and I would highly recommend them to anyone, especially those with dental anxiety.

I needed a pre-surgery release from my dentist before having a knee replacement. They said I had some gum disease and needed a deep scaling. Finance person “ran” my insurance and said all it $269 of the $1000+ would be covered. I paid the $269. Did the work. Now I’m getting a bill for $700. When I called they said that the estimate they provided noted the actual cost might be different. They said I should call my insurance company. I see scam! I’m Going to calll and see if they even verified the coverage! Buyer beware.

I had to go back three times and they still didn't get it right. Loose fit, front teeth way off center, bottom piece kept slipping off even with adhesive. I asked for a refund and was denied. Said I waited too long. That's because I had to keep going back. Think twice before going to this place.

This review is being made for the Chandler Blvd office in Chandler, AZ; I had some inflammation in the upper gums as a result of a bacterial infection caused by a decayed tooth; Dr. Nidhi ** prescribed **- an antibiotic- that eliminated not only the inflammation but the pain as well; she also gave patient advise on extracting that tooth to prevent further issues; I know a lot about antibiotics and pain relievers, she expanded my knowledge even further; she is great, and so are the girls working the front office, Thank you, Eric

I can't complain about the staff, all very friendly.... I've been wearing dentures for 20 plus years. I went in for a new set in October. When I finally got them right before christmas, I was so disappointed. I gave them an honest try, went back a week later for adjustment and the underbite they made me have they claimed that was my fault stating "I was bringing my jaw forward"? Don't think I can help how I've been closing my mouth for 60 years!!

I honestly cried in the office that day! I gave them another go through the holidays, couldn't chew food, couldn't talk right, my kids asked me why I was talking weird, I now had a lisp and I was in too much pain! They don't line up in my mouth! The upper front teeth are so straight up and down the sit behind the lowers which are way to big for my mouth! My smile is crooked and I'm so self conscious!! 3000$$ I cannot wear!! I'm so sad ... Was my christmas gift to myself and I got BAD feedback from friends and family. I never want to go there again and will never recommend this place!!

They did the complete deep scale scam you read about in most reviews, I also had 4 small fillings in front from teeth rubbing. Not real fillings just a little paste on the backside. All guaranteed, they said, I went in to have one filled that fell out, they said it wasn’t covered under warranty anymore, and billed me after they filled it, after the fact, originally I had 4 appointments for deep scaling. I went to three appointments but ironically they called me back in for another deep scaling just one month after my last appointment and my gums were still swollen and tender, I said it’s too soon, they said it’s ok, I refused, and didn’t go back until the superficial filling fell out. They were damaging my gums. They never cleaned my teeth as I wanted only cleaning below the gums.

So, they do not clean teeth period, that’s what I originally went in for, instead they make you pay for deep scaling as I did permanently, they told me you need deep scaling for another year or 2, again my teeth were never polished or cleaned, only scaled beneath the gums, they refused to fix the filling that fell out, and they destroyed a front tooth that they said had a cavity below the gum line by using silver nitrate, the tooth is now black but ironically it’s still alive, when I went in recently to get the repair filling they first claimed they didn’t do anything and I must have used another dentist, until I started fighting the bill for repairing their work, they said they are going to charge me to figure out what happened to my front tooth and they finally claim they did it.

I was given the extensive x-rays which took an hour or more I never asked for, I had no cavities, no swollen gums, but they claimed I need the deep scaling again, that I have bad peritonitis, I do not, that’s a lie. Said I need multiple crowns because of my bad gum disease, but they only need cleaning, no swollen gums no cavities, their proposal to fix the nothing wrong with me was almost $20,000. Even, after my Medicare advantage deductible, they said only $17,000. Upfront payments, again to clean my teeth and fix their failed filling? I literally laughed them out of the room and left, only after I explained to them I had to go to my doctor and get an antibiotic and take it before coming to get the cleaning they never did, which costs me time and money, they should’ve told me they would not clean my teeth, but I assumed they would fix my filling.

Now I’m fighting over a bill originally for $350.00 to refill a surface filling, that took less than 5 minutes in the chair and out. The bill also lists equipment they never used like forms, etc. so the bill has fraudulent entries. They also had my insurance to be able to give me an estimate, now they dropped the final amount to $150. But they have never filed insurance for this and my insurance will pay for fillings, I simply want them to file a claim for the repair filling to my insurance but they are threatening collections instead of using the insurance? So I’m fighting these same people, mostly on principle, because I feel they are a shady bunch that’s just milking me and not doing anything and something needs to be done to stop this, I for one will not tolerate this, it’s wrong and blatantly illegal, and they have permanently damaged my entire mouth.

I may pay the small bill because they are not giving up on taking me for whatever they can get, be warned they continue to take money from me for services not rendered that were warranted not honored, and for lying to me about even doing the services and for wasting my time, damaging my teeth and gums, just to make a buck. I suffer permanent tooth and gum damages.
