I shipped a package in Oct 7th, 2008 to CA priority mail. The customer paid $1080 for the package plus $120 for the shipping. The package suppose to be there in 2 to 3 days. As of today, OCT 17th, the package has not arrived yet. The online track and confirm said that the package was accepted on the 7th. Since then no clue where the package at. I'm the sender, and the receiver needs his money back. The USPS is not qualify to take care of your belonging. They even ignore your issue when you call them. I'm a very angry customer and I need to know where the hell is my package at. I don't know why they still in business, I guess, because they belong to the government. Well, they're not worth trust. The Holidays season is coming. I wonder how they will handle all of the packages while they can't handle even in the slow season.

I took a package to the post office and paid $14.95 for guaranteed delivery by 3:00 p.m. the next day to Rockdale, TX, which is only about a 3-hour drive and is very small - less than 5000 people. When my sister, whom I was mailing the package to, got home from work, there was a message on her answering machine from her postal carrier stating that since her mail is delivered in the morning and the package didn't arrive to the post office there in time to be sent with her mail, she would just have to wait until the next day for the delivery... Unless it was dire that she receive the package that day then she could call and request it be delivered. Unfortunately, she gets home from work at around 4:30 and the post office closed at 4:00.

The infuriating thing is I arrived in town the next day and could have just brought the package with me if it hadn't been imperative that she receive it on the day I paid to have it delivered. Nowhere on my receipt or in my conversation with the mail clerk taking my money was there any stipulation that my package would be delivered the next day by 3:00 if it arrived in time to go out with the regular mail delivery AND if the postal worker felt like delivering it. This same thing happened last year when I sent her a package overnight and she didn't get it for 3 days because she didn't have any regular mail coming and they didn't want to make a special trip.

I mailed out a small package to my friend in Russia using USPS priority international postage. The cost was $11.95. After almost 30 days of non-delivery, I called USPS twice to inquire whether they can help me locate the package or at least offer an explanation. They blatantly offered none and simply told me that once my package leaves the US, there is nothing that they nor I can do to seek a resolution.

I find this highly unacceptable from both a consumer and business standpoint. If they charge me a fee to ship a package, I expect a decent explanation if they are unable to deliver or locate the missing article. Even a simple inquiry to their Russian postal counterparts would seem like a fair solution to my problem. Telling me that there is nothing that I nor they can do is ridiculous.

This time it's gone too far. I am continuously getting someone else's mail or they are getting mine. This month, my water bill and my auto insurance payment just disappeared. Last month, my bank statement went to someone else and I received the mortgage paperwork for someone who sold a house 3 streets over. This paperwork has everyone's personal information on it. Everyone down here are complaining about how bad the mail delivery is yet there doesn't seem to be anyone who cares or anything that can be done.

I have ordered 2 dresses from Hong Kong which have yet to be received. They were shipped over a month ago. This is the third package that the mail has lost or mis-delivered that has been shipped to me. The reason I believe that they mis-delivered it is because I constantly get items in the mail that are addressed to a different address, and to be honest if my items were delivered to the wrong address a lot of my neighbors are the type of people who would either keep the item or just throw it away instead of sending it back especially if they opened the packages before reading the address label. All in all with the packages that have not been received I would say I am out about $300.00 that I know of. There have also been baby shower gifts and who knows what else that were never received. This is very frustrating and of course when I have asked the mail service their policy for how to repair this they offer no solutions except they will talk to my carrier and tell them to be more careful. I thought that you had to be able to pass an exam that required being able to read when you take a job at the post office.

Everyone in my block spent the money & labor in order to comply - now to find out we did not have to. But since we now have the boxes on the curb now, that is, where it will be delivered?? I should not have to walk out to curb to pick up any mail, for I am not the one who made the misjudgement. If I do not need the box on my curb then why should I walk out there?

I am not receiving my mail and when I get it, it comes to late for response. I was summoned to serve jury duty for Sept. 30, 2008 and showed up for my duty however I was told after 4 hours of sitting there that I had been excused and a post card was mailed to me on September 22, 2008 from the court house. I never received that post card until October 3, 2008. I was out a day of work, 45 minute drive to and then 45 minute drive back from the court house. The postal master/supervisor said they had no control on the speediness of delivery.

My second complaint is that I was issued a new debt visa card from my back which was mailed on September 26, 2008 and I have still not received it. It is coming from three towns away from me, again the post master/supervisor (would never give his name) said he cannot control the speediness of delivery. He had no other answers for me. It's very frustrating. My bank is canceling my card and issuing another one, hopefully I get this one. My mail, along with several neighbors mail, gets delivered to the wrong houses. I get the mail of my neighbor three houses down and she gets mail from someone one block over from us. Why can't they hire competent delivery people and why can't anything be done about this?

Ever since moving down to Washington, Utah from Layton, Utah, my mail delivery has become a nightmare. Yesterday, a check that I wrote to the local power company barely arrived in time to keep my utilities from being shut off. I mailed the check on 10/3/2008. Did not arrive at the power company until 10/9/2008. I had to call every day to see if they had received the check. Unbeknownst to me, the power company sent me a threatening letter that arrived on 10/4/2008 to shut my power off. Do you know how far it is to drive to the utility company, probably six miles. Had I known how ridiculous the mail system has become, I would have taken the check to them. Not only these kind of things happen, but none of the free awards that I get by way of flyers have suddenly quit coming.

My mother who lives across town and has a different post office always gets her mailers. Well okay, half of them and I get the other half. It is absolutely amazing when we compare notes on who got what this week. Both of us are on fixed incomes and could use the little bonuses that used to get passed our way. At first, I thought maybe it was a Mormon mailman that threw away part of my mail since I frequent such places as gambling casinos, but I also don't get anymore 15% or 20% discount for local stores. What gives, Utah postal employees???

I am a disabled senior citizen and live in a retirement apartment building in Pasadena, CA 91105. I do most of my shopping online and have the packages delivered. Every time I have a package, the postman leaves me a mailbox notice, instead of using the phone system in the building to ask me to come down and pick up my package. I realize it is way too much to expect him to actually bring it upstairs. However, I have been home every day this week, and my packages are still at the post office and he has made NO effort to contact me or deliver my packages. He left me another pick up notice. I think that this discrimination against the elderly and disabled and will NOT have a problem filing a complaint against this post office with an attorney. This is still America and I believe the law provides penalties for age discrimination. What can I do to get this person to deliver my mail in an appropriate manner to which I am entitled???

On 9-29-08, I mailed a letter from Ann **, Michigan to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands by Priority Mail under the representation that it would arrive in 3 to 4 days. On 10-6-08, I learned that the letter had not been delivered to its destination. I tracked the letter only to learn that it had been delivered to the Miami post office on 9-30-8 and was still in that office! I was then told that I needed to call the post office in Miami to complain and inquire as to why the letter had not been sent to the VI. Not having all day to deal with automated machines, I complained by e-mail. I was then informed on 10-7-08 that they had just sent the letter to the VI.

There are at least 3 commuter jets/day that go from Miami to San Juan and then St. Thomas, and there is no justification as to why a simple letter was held in Miami for 7 days after I had paid Priority Mail Postage for 3 to 4 day delivery. When I tried to file a complaint by e-mail and hit the Submit button, the entire submission was erased because a single required field was not filled in. I have subsequently not been able to even find the site where I tried to complain. THE REAL PROBLEM IS THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO EVEN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE POST OFFICE TO THE POST OFFICE.

The USPS has now lost 4 pieces of my mail in the last year. In December 2007, I was sent a contract c/o of my son in Davis California, and it never arrived. Between December 25, 2007 and January 1, 2008, I mailed a deposit to my bank locally using the mailbox at 23rd and Fairmont Avenue 55414 and the checks never arrived. Wells Fargo informed me that a number of their pieces of mail did not arrive. My renters had to cancel and reissue checks. One set of renters mailed me checks on October 1, 2008 and today, October 7, 2008 they have still not arrived. Another group mailed their checks October 3, 2008 and today on the 7th they have not yet arrived. This is an outrage. We pay for a service and it is unreliable. They increase fares, slow down the mail, and lose a certain percentage of it. Something has to be done.

I mailed a package from USPS office in Alhambra, CA to Vernon, NJ. They said that it would arrive in 6 days regular mail for $6.67. I paid for delivery confirmation receipt which was $.75 more so I could track the package. Today, I received notice that package had not arrived. I tracked it and notice that the package went from the USPS in Alhambra, CA to Bell, CA on the same day and it has been sitting there for 7 days. I spoke to Mark, Supervisor to determine if he could check on it or determine why it has been sitting in the same place for 7 days. He said that he was not able to help me and that packages could take from 2-9 days to be delivered. I told him that they told me that it would be 6 days and he disputed with me and said that he could not do anything and that after 14 days then I could call them and they would try to determine what occurred.

I asked him if he could check on the package and try to provide me with further explaining because 7 days seem a little too long for a package to be sitting in the same place. He refused and said that he would not. I asked him if I could speak to his supervisor and he said that if I wanted to complain that I had to call Consumer Affairs. I asked him for the number and he said his systems were down so he was not able to help me. Then I asked him if he could call me back when the system would come back up and he said that he could not because he could not make outgoing calls. I asked him for his last name and he said that he could not provide me for security reasons. I asked him how could I identify him so he gave me his badge number is **.

My experience with Mark was not very pleasant and he was less than helpful. He was not willing to check on the package that a customer has a consider. I was fortunate to have had a confirmation receipt but what good was that if they still do not follow up. I felt like I paid extra money to follow up a package that they need to be more responsible for and they keep increasing postage but less in return. I usually do not take the time to complain but I felt that they did not and were not willing to help me. That is a terrible situation to be in and their customer service department need to improve.

Time and time again since I recently moved here I have received packages back that state "postage due" when in fact there is NO postage due. Today is the last time! Today I received a package back stating that .33 was due. I run a business and my customers need to get their purchases in a timely fashion. I get the package today and it weighs LESS than ONE ounce. It is a non scannable package so it requires .83 as opposed to a .42 cent stamp on a card or letter. There were 2 stamps totaling .86, .03 more than what was supposed to be on there.

I called the post office and received the usual apathetic attitude and BOB, the man who I spoke to, stated that HE was the one who marked it postage due stating "because it was a parcel". It was less than a ONE OUNCE padded envelope with an eye pencil in it. I have a scale purchased from USPS and it states .08 oz. BOB argued with me about why he put postage due on a package that had MORE THAN enough postage on it and told me Roxanne was not in.... again!

They have caused my customers to receive packages late. They don't scan delivery confirmations when the packages get there and my packages that I have paid for delivery confirmations for get "LOST". I feel at this point it's a game or that they have some issue with the fact that I run a business from home... perhaps because they cannot... I have lived at the above address for three and a half years with my 12 year old Golden Retriever who is also a service dog. My house is surrounded by a large fence. Until last week I have never had a problem with my mail, when I had several days where no mail appeared. Then all of a sudden I had an overflowing mail box, which seemed strange. I work from home and had seen the mail truck every day and thought I probably just didn't have any mail that week. I often leave my front door open and my old, slow moving dog sits in the garden.

On Saturday (Sep 27) I collected my mail and I found a large laminated bright orange card that said the following: Dog Warning Card DANGEROUS DOG at my address. There was no description of the dog or a listing of the dog's name (as requested on the card). Instead, written in a heavy black sharpie across the top was: If door is open do not deliver mail Underneath, in print was written. Do not deliver mail if you feel endangered by an animal. Postmaster: If customer moves, immediately forward this form under separate cover to the receiving office postmaster in order to alert carrier of new dog on route. Also on the card it states: Do not deliver this form. Obviously the mail carrier accidentally left it in my mailbox. It was never intended for me to see. I don't know if this means mail service will now resume as normal as the carriers no longer have this card or if the carrier who drew this up in the first place will realize they left it behind and simply create a new one and my mail will continue to to be halted without my knowledge.

My mail is being stopped! Despite living here for over three years, this has NEVER happened. I understand that a large dog might scare mail deliverers as I'm sure they have to deal with truly dangerous dogs at all times. However: 1) My dog is NOT dangerous. She is a placid golden retriever and has been her whole life and unfortunately would actually welcome a burglar into the home if someone were to attempt to break in. I know everyone says their dog is not dangerous, but mine truly isn't.

As a result... 2)I am incensed that the Post office (or at least one particular mail carrier) has declared my dog dangerous, but has NOT informed me that they have made this determination. I would never have known this had I not accidentally received this card in my mail box.

    3) Some mail carriers at times have just thrown the mail over my six foot high fence - which is not ideal - but if they think the dog is scary to them, at least I'm actually getting the mail and they don't have to enter the premises.

    4) How can the post office legally withhold my mail without first informing me and/or requesting that I keep my door closed when the mail is being delivered? While this is difficult for me to do given that my office is in the back of the house and it's hard for me to know when the mail truck arrives, I'm sure something could be worked out.

    5) Given that if the front door is open, someone is CLEARLY in the house (I don't actually leave my door open when I'm not home. Who does?), how can they not contact me and discuss this with me?

    6) I am afraid that my sweet, loving, docile, old, doting dog has been branded Dangerous by the Post Office and something could happen to her. Surely I have some legal recourse here? Doesn't the post office have to have guidelines that require them to determine what constitutes a dangerous dog? And don't I have to be informed? Where is this mail carrier's proof that my dog is dangerous? Why have they not been in touch with me regarding this?

    7) Finally - I have not gone to the post office regarding this matter as I want to know where I stand first. Clearly, if one mail carrier wrote out this card and no one else has seen it at the post office I don't want to exacerbate the situation. Again, I have lived here for three and a half years with no problems. This appears on the surface to be the whim of one mail carrier who maybe is afraid of large dogs in general, whether or not they are in fact dangerous. To halt my mail service a) without my knowledge and without telling me their basis for declaring my dog dangerous b) without informing me that this is what they are doing or working with me to find an appropriate solution does not seem right (or legal) to me. I hope someone can help me resolve this.

On Wednesday (9/24/08) I received three letters in the mail stamped for delivery by the USPS on 7/3/08 (almost three months late). One letter was junk mail, the second a bill, and the third a Camera Ticket requesting my response by 7/29/08. The bill was no issue because I pay my bills on line.

I'm in the process of contacting the City of Scottsdale about the camera ticket. I'm sure they'll believe I'm providing one of those the dog ate my homework excuses. USPS could have informed me that an error occured, instead the mail was placed in my box like nothing happened.

We were suppose to receive an envelope overnight and we finally received it 3 days later after having to call the Lakewood post office to find out where it was. They had it there and were about to return it to sender since we had not picked it up. Our mail carrier never left notice that we had something to be picked up.

The day after we finally received it he put a notice in our mailbox saying FINAL NOTICE. This is unexceptable as it was a very urgent package. As a result of this our Contract employee who's paperwork was being sent to us overnight was unable to start their position.

9/15/08, check mailed to me from Cafepress in CA, 9/18/08 check mailed to me from Lincoln, NE for insurance claim. Neither check has yet to arrive. I actually got no mail at all for 5 days! Not even any junk mail. Checked with both companies to insure checks were mailed. I've been getting a check from Cafepress every month for 2 years and it has never been late. The check from Lincoln should have been here in 2 days. It didn't even have to leave the state.

Local Post Office no help. I called the insurance co. and they reissued their check. I called Cafepress, if check does not arrive by the last day of the month, I will need to call them back and they will reissue the check, but it will not be mailed until the 15th of October. What a pain. I need the insurance money to buy a new fridge because my old one along with several other items were ruined by lightening. Total $ amount of checks, $2720.00.

I've searched around online and there is no good info on where properly addressed mail goes if it doesn't get delivered. I used to work for a newspaper and I know a lot of mail just gets shoved off into corners and never sorted or delivered. Our local PO told us that. The USPS is one of the few places where you have to pay for a service before you get it and that is not a guarantee. There does not seem to be anywhere on the USPS website to file a complaint either. Go figure!

I've had to make numerous phone call to Cafepress and Shelter Insurance to get checks canceled and reissued. Shelter Ins. reissued quickly. Cafepress is going to but they only cut checks once a month, so now I have to wait until Oct. 15th for check to be reissued and mailed. Total of $2720 in checks, plus phone calls, trips to post office to complain, and I still don't have a fridge.

She also delivered my mother's disabled car liscence plate to my home address and I live out in the country 5 miles from town. There again it was stamped undeliverable. The funny thing is, my rural carrier delivers mail to my mother's address too, yet half of it seems to be undeliverable. Complaining doesn't seem to help, you just gotta take it and lump it I guess.

Box originaly held 4 inkjets when shipped. When recieved it was crushed, ripped open and then retaped. 2 inkjets where gone pluss all the peenuts. How can the USPS not be held responsible for a theft while a package is in their possession? I was receiving invaluable items that cannot be replaced. There needs to be some recourse for the actions of the USPS. Why is the shipper required to pay additional fees to ensure the safety of their package? And because the shipper neglected to pay additional for insurance, I am to suffer the consequences of the USPS's negligence?

For the past 9 years since we moved from Northern California, to Camp Verde, we have had 4 of the California State Fund checks lost in space somewhere, NEVER to be found. 15 times as of today that checks have been late because of a 'holiday'. New checks have had to be reissued because THIS IS OUR INCOME. IT IS FIXED income, and our payment are budgeted out per pay period. This has become increasingly frustrating every year! I have received letters and phone calls trying to blame State Comp (Fund) or the bank, etc.

The check from State Fund are sent out 'automatically' by computer - they don't have the capability to do 'electronic deposit', so it has to come through the mail. The day the bank gets the check they deposit it. The payments begin coming in from the 18th of each month to the 6th of each month. 2 weeks ago - on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I picked up payments. EACH ENVELOPE WAS STAMPED SEPTEMBER 3rd. How is that possible. Logic would tell you that on 3 different days there would be at least one with a different 'stamp' date. THIS IS OUR INCOME!

We are extremely frustrated that this has happened so many times in these 9 years. There has not been an acceptable explanation ever given. All that has happened is that 'blame' is passed. IT IS NOT STATE FUND, and IT IS NOT THE BANK. Who does that leave? The check is out there AGAIN is space somewhere. [They] keep raising the cost of stamps, etc., and yet the system [is bad]!

I finally had time to go to the branch, found it is Closed for renovation from July through Oct and the partially obstructed sign instructed us to To to one of the following three locations to pick up your package.

I called the main USPS number and was told by the customer service person that without a complete Article Number, they couldn't do anything for me. I asked for her supervisor and got the same feedback. I am not happy that our Postman took the liberty to save a few nanoseconds by truncating the tracking number on my delivery slip. I am also not happy that the USPS could not offer any help, other than to visit the three nearest branches to see if my package may be there.

Unfortunately, I need to tell the sender they will be receiving the package back from USPS since they failed miserably to deliver, and since their delivery notification process is fundamentally flawed. I will ask the sender to ship using a more reliable provider (UPS or FedEx), even if it costs a few dollars more. You get what you pay for. I will also send a copy of this email to the sender so he can refuse/reverse payment for the failed delivery. I'm also going to file a formal complaint so (hopefully) the USPS management will figure out where the process broke (c'mon, sending recipients on a wild goose chase?), and fix it.

A couple of times, my mom has said that it has been ripped open when she's received it with a note saying that this was the condition it was received in from her post office. I started putting the photos in the special photo mailer envelopes and putting the extra postage on it, now she doesn't receive it at all!

This is definitely theft. My theory is that the postal worker perpetrator thinks that because it's a bit heavier that there may be a gift card or something he/she can steal. I always drop off my mail at the post office drop box and I have never had an issues when I mail my bills or receiving items from anywhere else. I will not use them anymore for personal mail!

Lost cards and photos sent to my parents -- not a lot of money but definitely will NOT rely on the USPS any longer since they are stealing and opening heavier envelopes/packages.

No mail delivery/pick up since Monday 9/8/08. I live on a small road where this week they are repaving the road. We were not notified of the roadwork. There are approximately 7 or 8 houses on this road, all on one side--the other side of the street is woodland. I finally called the Harrisville P.O. today, and the girl was very curt, not letting me finish my question about the lack of service. She said the mail carrier couldn't get access to the post box, and that the supervisor was out checking on the condition of the road and to call back in an hour.

I was just checking and there is still no obstruction to my box, and still no evidence of mail delivery. I have spoken to a man on the road crew, and they have not been on the road 24/7, they have been working in stages, and at no time has there been equipment or paving materials blocking my mailbox. What happened to rain/sleet/snow? Is it illegal not to deliver mail? No one on the street has been contacted by the post office regarding interruption of service. I have already tried to get some type of answer or satisfaction from the local P.O. and also by the USPS complaint form via email. I'm furious.

We had outgoing mail on Monday, 9/8/08, and it was our mortgage payment---it was not picked up, and we haven't received any other delivery of bills that are due. We send our payments in early, but rather than to chance another lost day we decided to pay online and there is a fee associated with that.

An Aunt from England sent a package to me by Air Sure a registered safe way to send items. It contains items of extreme personal value that belonged to my Grandmother who died this year. It also contained money but that being insured is a liability that my Aunt can at least get her money back from. As you can imagine the personal items from my late Grandmother can never be replaced, cards I wrote to her as a little girl (I am 41)letters about my travels etc.

The local office and delivery person say that a key was put in our mail box and it never was. This is not the first time my mail has gone missing or indeed where I have had to chase a parcel down. It is also not only I who suffers as all my neighbors have had ongoing experiences with mail in wrong boxes etc. The previous delivery person was so bad they moved her, who knows where and now the current one is doing no better as many of my neighbors can testify. I am not hopeful of ever getting this package particularly with the sorry nothing can do we delivered so your problem attitude of the local office and delivery person.

However having spent the day crying and not knowing how I am going to tell my Aunt the parcel is gone, I just cannot sit by and do nothing. If this does nothing else, if it can at least at some point along with all the other complaints about USPS, be the trigger for something to be done and investigated. This was not a parcel sent without due care but my Aunt bless her nor indeed I can follow the delivery person to make sure they put a key or the parcel in the right place.

There appears to be no other explanation then the key was put in the wrong place, again! Or perhaps the delivery person is just not delivering, how about that for a possibility! This person has been caught lying about knocking on doors to deliver signature needed mail, not just by me but also my neighbors. But we had as it would appear still do, no recourse on this as its USPS word against our own. I certainly do not have my late Grandmothers effects in my possession and it is possible some uncaring thoughtless person has the package instead of returning it to me directly or the mail delivery person, if indeed the key was put in the wrong mail box. But even if that is the case the buck stops at the mail delivery person continually putting mail in the incorrect boxes. When do they have to take responsibility for doing a bad job, just like the rest of the world has to when they do. What recourse do consumers we have for such poor service, when all that is required is a check of an address against a mail box number and putting it in the right place. Hardly rocket science!

The emotional damage this has caused is immeasurable. The finacial loss remains to be seen and will be fully known when claims are complete.

The most frustrating thing about this whole problem is that no one cares to even let their higher ups know that there is a problem, even when they've heard from numerous people. I guess I must now pay extra for insurance for everything that I send out. I'd rather not use the USPS at all since this doesn't solve the problem.

Our regular carrier does a good job, but any time he is on vacation or out for the day, a substitute carrier doesn't seem to be able to find the building. At least, that is what the supervisor at the Post Office tells me. She asked whether the building sat back down a lane or behind another building. No, it is a nice large building right on the street where it has sat since 1962. No apologies are ever made, only excuses. No improvement is made, nor any attempt to do so as far as we can determine.

This is causing the company a lot of headaches and extra expense due to having to pay late fees for mail that should have been picked up and may sit here for days before it is. Or customer checks are late getting here because they are not delivered. Thus their material is late getting to them, causing bad feelings and lost revenue to all parties concerned. We have tried all sorts of efforts to get this matter improved, but no one seems to care. They seem to get their pay-checks regardless of the service rendered. Someone needs to shake them up and make them realize what a serious problem this is!

Government tax forms are late being postmarked because the mail isn't picked up. Customers who send checks or orders for materials do not receive their orders on time because the mail isn't delivered. This can cause thousands of dollars lost by us and our customers.

The last incident which occurred on Aug 20 involved a package which was labeled and printed by Click and Ship on the 19th. ,and was refused by MRS c. for shipping on the 20th befroe 212 noon. There were two similar incidents before the one I am about to explain, but I will give you the details of the last incident only, which occured on Aug. 20th. Before I do so, I would like to add that I use 4 different Post offices in my area (I live in an Urban area in which there are many Post offices), and deal with several different postal Employees and have never , not even on one occasion, had my packages even looked at for dates, nether alone turned away because they was dated the day before. I feel if it is a rule then it should be enforced by everyone in the postal service, since no one else has ever even approached me about it. i feel Mrs. C. is SINGLING me out.

No. 1 , I feel she is extremely prejudice against white people. This was and has been my first and very LASTING impression of Mrs. C. since i first went to that PO branch. No. 2. I feel she is extremely condescending, and when I complained, she just shrugged me off and said if i didn't like it to make a formal complaint. No.3. I feel she has no right as USPS employee to refuse packages, which none of her PIER have ever refused. Even at the same branch! I have dropped packages off on several occasions at that branch and no one but Mrs. Carter has turned my packages away because they were dated the night before. To me that is like saying, if I make a card out to say, My daughter for her birthday, and I carry it in my purse overnight. that I cannot mail it the nexty day. I feel Mrs c. is being discriminatory,

I also feels that she is taking USPS matters into her own hands by refusing legitimately packaged and labeled packages. I feel singled out because I have never, ever had this problem at any other branch, or from any other employee, even at the Franklin Mills Branch whre this occurred.i have dropped several packages off there on several different occasion, no one from that branch or any branch have ever turned my packages away.

I believe personally that MRS Carter does not want to bothered accepting Click and Ship packages. On this occasion, on The 20th of Aug. I had 6 packages dated the 20th, and one dated the 19th, all the packages exacly the same in white poly envolopes. And she said she could not accept the one dated the 19th. i therefore had to go to another PO. in a completely different direction, using added gas and added time. I don't know Mrs Carter on a personal level, but I feel very insulted as a customer and I feel as though I should be able to drop my legitimately posted packages off at any branch of my choice.

Economic damage is that I have to use more gas, and spend more time to drive to a less convenient branch of the USPS.. since I run my own small, home based business which requires a lot of shipping. I have to keep my expenses and overhead at a minimum, and save money when ever I can. Gas is expensive and I would like to have the convenience of dropping my packages off at any Post office or post office branch of my choice. Time is also a factor, since I work alone, and do quite a volume of business for one person, time is always a factor. Again I need to be able to drop off at any Post office or branch which is convenient. And not feel singled out or tuned away for any illegitimate reason.

First of all I feel I should let you know that I am a Letter Carrier for the Postal Service. I love my job and what I do. This is not a one time happening. It has happened continually throughout my dealings with the Postal Service as a customer. Two years ago my youngest daughter moved to Anchorage, Alaska. We have exchanged Christmas, birthday, wedding, and other information via the Postal Service. It's taken one and a half weeks for her to receive a postcard. Two weeks to receive pictures I've sent her and for some strange reason I will receive stuff from Anchorage before my oldest daughter who lives in San Diego does.

The most recent incident is the one that has finally done it. My birthday WAS yesterday August 20th. Stephanie sent me a priority insured package from Anchorage LAST Wednesday August 13th. I have not received it yet. I sent her a package from Oceanside, Ca., on the same day priority Delivery Confirmation. Stephanie received her package on Saturday August 16th. My boyfriend who always brags about U.P.S. also sent me a present U.P.S. on August 13th. I received that package on Monday. The Postal Service had Betty from my local Post Office contact me about my package informing me that they haven't received it yet. I know that!

I know that the problem is not at the local level. I have full trust in MY local office and Letter Carrier that if the package comes into the local office it will get delivered! They do not sit on priority packages! Why does the Post Office keep putting the responsible on the local delivery office when the focus should me on the plants that handle the packages in transit! Where is the quality control. Does the U.S. Postal Service expect my local delivery post office to pull my package out of a magic hat?

I apologize to my Oceanside Post Office because they will be the office getting the brunt end on this one from upper management. I have a very good Mailman. I appreciate his hard work and I can definitely tell when he is on vacation. My daughter who lives in San Diego has also had items she ordered not received at all! Ever! needless to say she now uses U.P.S. as my boyfriend does. I am also going to patron U.P.S. and Federal Express. I work for the United States Postal Service but cannot endorse their service as they cannot even deliver for their own employees!

I had over 175.00 worth of items in box that had glass on them as well as some liquid from a gift (snow globe). I really put alot of faith in the postal people to deliver the gifts as they were mailed, and to my dissapointment they were not.

I had them wrapped and wonder how they could have got broken unless they were handle as if the fraigle stamp was not seen...or not taking into consideration. As of this being my 2nd broken paakage sent in 6 months I am losing trust in the job that my postal service is doing, still I have to use them to get mail sent to family. I guess I will have to buy a box 3 sizes bigger from now on and waste money wrapping it more to prevent this from happening again.

We had our mail held for 10 days, and when the hold was lifted we started to receive only junk mail. 10 days after the resume delivery date, we received a large portion of mail that contained bills that were held by the post office so long they were over due. This could not have been an error on our part, as we began receiving mail on the correct date, just not all of our mail. We now have to call our local utility companies and explain to them why we had not paid our bills on time.

Past due bills result in late fees and lower credit scores.

We have a delivery confirmation # but all it says is that the package was delivered in Streetboro but it does not confirm an address and there was no signature required. Both the sender and I have contacted the respective Post Offices. I spoke to Peggy at the Streetsboro branch and was told there is nothing they can do.

The cost to replace the handpiece is $600 plus tax. We have been short one handpiece for over 2 months now. This in turn slows our production because we have to wait for our other handpieces to be sterilized. I have spent a tremendous amount of time researching what happened, making phone calls to Post Offices and talking to Roger with Hayes Northcoast. The frustration of the situation lead to a heated argument between Roger and I, which in turn has destroyed our business relationship. Neither one of us is at fault. my complaint goes deep because not only did they not say on fri i could not pick up the mail any other day like the next day saturday. the lady this day sat made me believe it was on the truck and would be deliverd but this was not the case. no mail came and this is unfair. i understand mail may run at 5pm daily but no mail ran for me saturday and this is unfair and again the man lied he said he has to still sort through the mail. but when he came around the corner at the poist office he said specifically are you waiting on a check. we can not give them over the counter.

the usps mail system 48th and southeastern station really needs investigation. if he is so hurt then why is he working. we should not have to wait all day for mail and if he is behind which i am sure the carrier was saturday they do not run can a tax payer like me be treated fair and yes i will get a po box on the other side of town because this same man gave me the run arounds on my mail upon first moving to the neighborhood by not replacing my lock so i could get my mail until he took it upon himself to fix it and this was on a day when i took off to meet him to make sure it was done.

We have been contacted by the Phone Co., the Power Co. and several government agencies that they had our mail returned. We contacted the local post master and he just laughed and told us that it had to be something we were doing wrong because they always deliver our mail. I called everyone that notified us of Returned Mail and in every single case the address was correct. Since we called and complained the only piece of mail we have received was the address confirmation sent by the US Post Office (what a surprise)... I am at a lost as to what to do next.

I have been waiting for almost 6 weeks for my unemployment card from a bank. They have sent it twice now and it was returned to them. So, I am without funds since my layoff 2 months ago (a very desperate situation). My wife had to visit the food-stamp office twice to pick up items that were returned and I had to go by the unemployment office 3 times now. I have started a new job where they use payroll cards and I have yet to see my card (it has been over the 10-days required for delivery and they have told me that they are putting a trace on it). Now I cannot get paid unless I wait 2 weeks each pay period for a mailed check. Well, that is of course if I even receive that which I doubt very seriously. I KNOW for a fact it is the carrier that is mad at us for complaining and he/she is not delivering out mail. We live in the country and none of our neighbors are having this problem. I have gotten calls from at least five companies saying that my mail was being returned to sender for different reasons. The most recent reason is it said that I had moved and left no return address. I have lived here for over seven years.

She has dropped off my mail to my neighbors house and she has dropped off other peoples mail to me. We have walked over the mail to who it belongs to and my neighbor has brought ours to us before as well when its close. My husband once caught the mail person and handed them back the mail that was not ours and they apologized.

We called and spoke with the supervisor there and also called the main number three times. They have done nothing to prevent this from reoccuring. I have had to go out of my way to make sure none of my bills get sent to my house because if so I will not get them. I even had problems with the irs because we didn't recieve something they sent us the first time. One company sent checks to me weekly for six months and every one got sent back. Since then Ive had my stuff set up direct deposit. It just seems to me that the person either is not able to read the addresses of the mail she is putting in boxes or she is just stuffing them wherever in order to be done faster. It happens constantly so it has to be more than a fluke

I have had to jump through hoops to get most of my super important things sent other ways. I only seem to have a problem with incoming mail. I have only had a problem with one outgoing package ever which is strange considering I have such a huge issue getting my mail.

Well, my dogs (2 chihuahuas and a terrier) were not outside on the day that she stated, and I have witnesses to that, so she lied. This year in July my dogs barked at her (from my second-story deck) and she stopped not only my mail this time, but also my downstairs neighbor's mail also.

I went up to the Post Office to see if I could get my mail, and they told me that I had to sign a paper stating that my dogs will not be unrestrained "during normal delivery hours".....I asked the woman at the counter what those were and she said 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. She also rolled her eyes and told me that this carrier has a lot of dog holds..and after talking to people in my town of 2,500 she has a lot of cat holds too.

I refused to sign the paper that stated the "normal delivery hours" and could not get any of my mail, which will probably be sent back. My neighbor refuses to get a PO box, so his mail is also going to be sent back. The lying that I have come across from this post office is unfathomable. What really gets to me is that the mail carrier knows my name and where I live, and I have no clue who she is or where she came from. What steps does one take to get a person's mail. I really don't care much to pay federal taxes for a person's pay when they do things like this, and really don't want her anywhere around me or my dogs or my home.

I could understand this policy applying to us if it meant that the mail carrier would have to change his route, but he actually already drives right by our mailbox every day. It's ridiculous and frustrating.

To make matters worse, until we called to ask why we weren't getting our mail, apparently the carriers were just returning all our mail to the senders. I have no idea why they felt that was necessary, but it causes huge headaches for us. Most of the senders will probably not contact us about the returned mail, so we'll never know what all we missed.

Because of the returned mail, we haven't received our city permit to operate a monitored security system, so we are unsecured in our home. Hopefully nothing will catch fire during the time it will take to track down that permit. He also stated that when he dropped the item off there was a bunch of indians working there and that they did not seem to know what they were doing.

I am really frustrated at this point it is now the middle of July and I opened the claim back in April and have had to reopen the claim in June after being closed due to none response from the post office about the damage. Its now August and I called derek and was told that they found the item and sent it to saint louis where the insurance claims is and I then called the insurance place and was told that he was not supposed to send the item anywheres and that he was just supposed to submit a damage report and than keep the item there until instructed otherwise.

I tried to call derek back for a week to make sure that he submited the damage report and he has not called me back at all. I am very frustarated because the post office had the item the whole time and I have had to spend a lot of time trying to get them to look for it and they find it and then do not do there job right once again. I feel that I should be compensated for all of my time I have had to waste trying to get this post office to do its job.

I will loose $300.00 if the Geneva post office does not submit the damage report. I have also spent a lot of time on the phone due to this and have had to drive up to my post office several times about this issue and the gas prices are very high right now. I have also I have had to wait all of this time for my money back and I had to give the buyer his refund due to the damaged item.

Besides being afraid to go to the post office anymore because of being screamed at by a postal worker for using a label I had printed out the night before (so it was written as the previous day); and not to mention all the lost packages and mail. I am a student at UMD College Park, and I have moved a couple times since. The first time I moved it took 5 tries in sending in the change of address form, and even walking into there and filling it out and they still lost it.

Not only that, but even 5 identical change of address forms later and 10-20 phone calls lasting 10 minutes to two hours (there's a lot of money in minutes, since they are only open during peak cell phone hours), they still sent my mail to the previous address, even after successfully getting the change of address through. I can't do the new online thing because I don't have a credit card.

Now I have sent two change of address forms and it had been two weeks since I moved to my current address, and still no mail. I called in and they told me there was nothing in their system, to which I replied am I going to have to do this 5 times again, to which the rude woman said I guess so, sir. I feel it is futile to try to get my mail anymore, and I am getting sick and tired of this. In Clarksville and Gaithersburg I never had any problems with mail. I need some serious authority to get my mail please!

I have lost money from lost packages, because I refunded the customers their money; and who knows what problems I encounter with all the lost mail, and non-forwarded mail. Then there is the countless hours spent on the phone trying to figure out what to do, like my mail never getting here and so-forth.

I believe it was no fault of the insurance company because our postmaster just delivered 3 mailings on Monday from the company and one of the post markings is dated June 2008. I sent a package through this store and insured it for $3,500. The store clerk said that the package was well packed and that the insurance would cover any damage. The package was shipped and one week later the re-conditioning company requested that I send the additional parts per their original shipping instructions. After some discussion it was discovered that the package had been repacked. The only reason that we found this out was that the shipping paperwork was found to be inside the box. I had originally taped it to the outside of the box. The re-finisher commented that they thought it was strange that the envelope was covered in tape on one side.

Upon discovering that the box they received wasn't the same box that was shipped; I contacted the UPS store that handled my box. They filed a claim after taking my information. I waited several weeks for feedback on the claim. I finally had to go to the store and inquire about the status. They informed me that the claim was denied because the re-finisher didn't have the box. I then asked why I wasn't contacted. I was told that it was the store that filed the claim and that is who would get the response. I called UPS for more information regarding the claim and was e-mailed a response that they were not responsible and that I would have to deal with the UPS store.

My biggest issue is that UPS never marked the box as re-packaged which would have allowed the claim to be filed before the box was thrown away. The second issue that I have is the way UPS has advertized the insurance as true protection, when in fact very few claims ever get settled. And the final issue I have is the way the company is organized to protect the holding company that is actually handling the boxes and by using a third party insurance adjustor to review the claims.

What I shipped was a supercharger to my car. It is no longer supported by the original manufacturer and all the parts are no longer in stock. This supercharger is not replaceable and can only be rebuilt by the re-finisher in Oklahoma. I have been without the use of my car for over 3 months. I have been in contact with the original manufacturer, the original sub-component supplier, and various distributers for those manufacturers for two months. I have spent close to a thousand extra dollars of my money to find, purchase, and manufacture the missing parts. Additionally, I have spent 40 to 60 hours in communicating with various vendors or in drafting up drawings for the parts that can not be purchased at any price.

I had considered suing for the money spent but was informed by a friend that he had a similar problem with UPS. He on the other hand knew an insurance adjustor that worked for UPS and was told to not waste his money or time because only 1 out of 250 claims are ever settled in any way. However, I am considering contacting the states insurance commission regarding the sale of shipping insurance without any intent of paying out claims.

I paid for the package to be sent out on 7/31/08 and it shows no delivery as of 8/12/08. The time it was supposed to be delivered by was 8/9/08. The clerk at the post office was supposed to give me a new confirmation number, but he did not, causing my package to possibly be lost and not delivered in the time promised. Also, it is not trackable because a new tracking number was supposed to be given.

I contacted the Supervisor and he was rude and unhelpful. He blamed that it was my fault because I was supposed to ask and KNOW to get a new tracking number. I asked the USPS clerk if I needed a new number and the clerk told me I did not. Although I explained this situation, he said he would take note of the situation. He did not even apologize nor plan to take action on this matter.

Being a member of Active Duty I am responsible to paying my bills on time so the I do not risk the chance of losing my security clearance and besides that it is just the right thing to do in paying your bills on time. I am well aware that the normal person who delivers my mail is out on medical leave and the postal service uses various to fill this persons role. They need to pay attention to detail and put the right mail where it goes for this goes on my credit when it is misplaced not the delivery persons. I am tierd of the negelence on the postal service so we need to fix this issue or I will go to a higher level such as contacting my congressman or an attorney general. Mailman insisted that my mail was to be forwarded somewhere else. Well Mr. Mailman here I am and I want my mail.

Much to my surprise the mail he was going to forward to Eutopia was from the IRS. Then proceeded to tell me that somebody must have maliciously put in an additional forwarding address. Isn't this a federal offence? I have child support payments out there, crucial documents out there and nobody can tell me where they are.
