The UPS never delivers to my address. Moreover they are not reliable and totally rude to the customer. I never get resolved with this issue. The Government of Canada has to raise ban on a UPS In all over Canada.

My daughter paid a huge sum to have UPS deliver a package to me before Christmas. She chose the 3 Day Select shipping method and then watched as it took 8 days crawling to its destination. If UPS does not intend to even try to deliver in the 3 days before Christmas, why do they accept payment for this shipping option? In tracking the package it was obviously trucked all the way from New York to Las Vegas. It was very important to her to get the gift to me for the holiday and they are unethically collecting exorbitant shipping charges to consumers hoping to have their gift arrive before the holiday. I think it's time for a class action suit to rectify this obvious scam on the public.

UPS tracking said the item was in the area evening of January 5, 2014 and on the truck for delivery Jan Tues 6, Wed Jan 7, Thursday Jan 8, and Friday Jan 9, and never delivered due to "an emergency or severe weather." NEITHER OF WHICH OCCURRED. I WITNESSED the truck blow past the driveway three evenings in a row just after 5 pm. NO ATTEMPT WHATSOEVER made to deliver my 32-year-old horse's life-saving prescription. When I called the morning of the fourth day (Saturday) in an attempt to learn where the package was so I could retrieve it myself, I was given the runaround. I was told I would receive a return call regarding the whereabouts of the package so I drive an hour each way to go pick it up. I was on the phone (waited on hold for 90 minutes on and off) until the only place it might have been was closed until Monday.
THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL. IT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME. I don't choose to use them, the company that compounds my horse's medication uses them and offers no other shipping service. UPS SUCKS. Their service sucks. Their attitude sucks. They'd rather blow down the road than bring the package they've been paid to deliver to an animal who will suffer and could die without it. UP YOURS, UPS.

Shipper sent 4 packages to me constituting an expensive karaoke system (worth thousands of dollars) for Christmas. He dropped it off to UPS in Virginia on December 22, so it should have gotten to me in NJ by December 24 in time for Christmas and before I left for vacation on December 26. It didn't even leave the UPS facility, though, until December 24. I then spoke on Dec. 26 to a customer service supervisor who arranged for a Friday, January 9, 2015 delivery, at which time I would be back from vacation and could work from home. I then got emails from UPS saying the delivery date has been rescheduled to January 5. I called and spoke to another customer service supervisor who assured me that this information was erroneous and the packages would, in fact, not be delivered till January 9.
I returned from vacation the afternoon of January 6 and found two of the four packages at the front edge of the front porch, covered with snow. Turns out they were delivered January 5 after all. I then called customer service and spoke to another supervisor who said he had no idea how that happened and apologized, but assured me the other two packages would be delivered on January 9. Today, January 9, I stayed home from work to await the packages. But when I woke up this morning, there were emails from UPS saying the receiver -- me -- had requested the packages be held at the Bound Brook, NJ facility for pickup and I needed to pick up the packages there within 5 days. I then called and spoke to another customer service supervisor who said she did not understand why these messages had been generated and called the Bound Brook facility to get the packages onto the truck today.
She and I spoke to a supervisor at the Bound Brook facility who informed us that the two packages had never really come to the Bound Brook facility! She said the tracking information I had received is generated simply by computer and the only reliable information as to where the packages are is a physical scan. She said the last physical scan of the packages was at the Meadowlands UPS facility. She then proceeded to give me the number she said was to the Meadowlands facility, but when I called it, it turned out to be the regular 800 customer service number! The person I spoke to there would not transfer me to the Meadowlands facility and said the only thing he can do is initiate an investigation to find the packages, which he said he is doing. I then got an email from UPS regarding one of the two packages which said, “This package had been left in the Bound Brook facility and that may cause at least one business day delay in the delivery.”
Thinking that the investigation had resulted in finding at least one of my two packages, I called the number for investigations I had been given. This, at least, was the right number, but they had no record of any investigation ever being opened and said they are unable to initiate an investigation themselves; it has to be done through Customer Service (which I was previously told by someone in Customer Service had already been done). I then spoke (just a few minutes ago) to another customer service supervisor, who spoke to a different person at the Bound Brook facility, who thinks the packages were actually there. This Customer Service supervisor is checking further and said she will call me back in about 20 minutes. We will see. However this turns out, UPS's service had been atrocious and they have been grossly negligent with respect to erroneous tracking information, handling of the packages, deliveries and customer service.

T-mobile sent me a package overnight and sent it through ups. Both my husband and son were home all day along with 3 dogs. The tracking info said they attempted a delivery at 2:22 pm. No one came to the house at all. No note was left that said they had made an attempt. I called the 800# and they called the Nv office. I now am picking up the package at the main office, because they can't be trusted to deliver my package. They lied and have continued to lie. What kind of service is this? This is NOT the 1st time they have done this to me!

UPS arrived 4 1/2 hours late for a scheduled pick up of time sensitive documents. This caused the flight they were to be on to be missed. UPS said the only flight they could then be sent out on was 24 hours later. This is most untrue since they were in a city of a million people where many flights daily occur. Perhaps UPS 1st choice flight was 24 hours later, but with time sensitive documents they had been contracted to deliver, wasn't the best flight the one that was the soonest after the missed flight? 28 hours later, my tracking online details told me the parcel still was held up due to "Adverse Weather" of which there was none. Weather.com and a call to locals in the supposedly affected area confirmed it was a typical winter night, dark and cold, with nothing adverse preventing flights. Ball dropped 2nd day also.
Repeated phone calls from me for help, contacted me only with their UPS Asia Pacific Call Center, where representatives there could only read to me the same tracking information. I ultimately engaged one, a supervisor, Ann, to try to find some help or information for me. 3 hours later, I received an email from UPS verbatim to what had been erroneously posted online hours earlier about Adverse Weather. And this is UPS Customer Service? With only a Friday left to try to salvage this deal hinging on the document arrival, I emailed their headquarters for help. I am not counting on seeing by morning any improvement.
I will definitely be petitioning for a full refund for UPS' detached and unprofessional conduct, and negligence which has caused much worry to many parties awaiting these documents. Should the deal which required this delivery collapse, I will file also for that avoidable economic loss additionally. LEARN from others` misfortune as seen here in these reviews online: UPS` motto should now be "TOO BIG TO CARE". Ensure you seek out alternate courier services to provide yourself a fighting chance of success. If any interest exists in uniting for a class action against them, count me in. The disgrace they are needs to be addressed so others are not similarly harmed and bilked.

Always delivery at the end of the day which is 7, 8 or 9. We never know and it is annoying because sometimes they do not even make an attempt to get out the truck and come deliver like their job description says so. I HATE UPS SERVICE. At least with FedEx they try every attempt to deliver. UPS CHANGE YOUR WAYS PLEASE!!! AT LEAST CALL THE CONTACT AND SAY “HEY, WE ARE HERE TO DELIVER YOUR PACKAGE!!!!”

I never get "UPS" packages, I leave a request to leave it at my door. I get my post office packages and my FedEx packages, but never UPS. It seems very strange to me, UPS packages get stolen all the time, but the others do not. I won't trust them to leave a package at my door again. I'll drive the 13 miles to their customer service center to pick it up. Which leads me to my next complaint. You can just say I'll pick it up at your nearest store like FedEx and Post office. It COST an additional $5 to do that. So I have to drive out the way in DC traffic to pick up the package. Unfortunately, most of the online companies I shop with have switched to UPS, I'm sure because they are low balling contracts now. But hey, you can do that with shabby, shady service. UPS, I NO LONGER TRUST YOU AS A COMPANY. I WILL GO OUT MY WAY TO USE ANOTHER SERVICE IF I HAVE THE CHOICE.

My daughter ordered a gift for my granddaughter's birthday on the 29th December to be delivered by UPS by 5/01/15. There was someone in all day but the package failed to arrive, however at 10 pm I noticed a card had been put through the letterbox saying that the delivery driver failed to get an answer but the parcel would be delivered the next day as a priority. My daughter called UPS and was told the parcel was on the van for delivery on the 7th. It was not. Despite dozens of calls to a premium number and continually being promised that someone would call back within the hour, no calls were received. It is impossible to get beyond the operator at the call center and it appears that there is no complaints procedure accessible and no manager available to speak with.
Today is the 8th. My granddaughter's birthday is tomorrow and we are still have no idea what has happened to the parcel, I have asked if the parcel has been lost in transit but this is apparently information which is only available to the manager at the local Barking depot, who has consistently failed to contact my daughter, as continually promised by the operators at the UPS customer services call center. For the past 2 days, The Ups tracking facility has indicated that the package is on the delivery van in transit for delivery. In future We will make it known to companies that if they are using UPS delivery services for their goods, we will not use them and take our custom elsewhere.

Delivery date was last year!!! Ordered my package early December in hopes of receiving it before Christmas. Delivery date was set for Dec 31st. The delivery date came, my package said out for delivery. I waited until about 4:30, calling them frequently, only to find out they're delivering it to the wrong address and can't change it until they attempt to deliver it!!! I speed over there to try and beat the delivery truck and I call them again. They tell me the same thing and that there's nothing they can do so I ask to speak to a supervisor. She tells me she can have the address changed. So I return to my original destination. Package is a no-show so I go to the UPS building and they say my package is "probably" in one of the trucks there. OBVIOUSLY!!
The fellow there then tells me I have to wait until Friday morning and they will have my package for me. I go there Friday morning and they tell me "it's in a trailer that's locked and there's nothing they can do". They tell me I have to wait another business day. So I tell them I want to pick it up since they're obviously to incompetent to successfully deliver a package. They tell me that's fine and they'll waive my brokerage fee. Monday comes around and I go to get my package, "It's locked in a trailer and there's nothing we can do about it". I ask to speak to the manager. A lady comes out and searches for my package. Apparently it's already on a truck and out for delivery...to the wrong address!! So I tell them to call the guy and tell him not to deliver it!! "We can't do anything until the first delivery attempt", so this guy tries to deliver my package. Luckily there a fee that he didn't want to pay..wait a minute? I was told they would waive that fee!
So now I know my package isn't in a container like they claimed it was in. So I call the customer service line, and ask them about the fee that they were supposed to "waive". A very rude lady named "Tracy" tells me that they are not waiving anything and that I have to wait another day for my package. And I'm angered at this point so I tell her "no ** that!! I paid for shipping and it was supposed to be delivered last year!" So she tells me I'm not their customer, my shipper is, and hangs up on me. So I leave to wait another day. I awoke happy to have my package on its way. Called and pay the fees over the phone. I get a notice in the morning saying the driver forgot to put my package on the truck! So I call them and give them the business. Tell them I'll pick it up then, they say okay they'll call me back in an hour with information on how I can pick up my package. I received no call after 2 hours so I called them and was told I can't pick up my package because "it's in a trailer that's locked - they will send me a check refunding my brokerage fee"!!! Wtf!!!
Is this an excuse their head office gives them? Must be, because it seems like my package is always in a trailer instead on out for delivery. So I have to wait another day!! Now today, I've been sitting here all day waiting for my package, calling them continuously and being told that it will be delivered by 7pm.. so I called them after 7 and they said "we can deliver your package tomorrow, you will receive a call in the morning". I said ** that!! I'm not waiting another day - I ordered my package last year and my delivery date was last year! Over a week ago!! They told me they will have the package delivered before the end of the day and it'll cost my my brokerage fee. I told them I already paid!! They said I'll have to confirm that with some other person! I told her I have a confirmation number and she said give it to the driver then.. it's now 8:40 pm and still no package. I called them about 30 minutes and they told me just to wait for a few minutes and they'll deliver my package. UPS blows.

My UPS package was suppose to be delivered on 1/6/2015. It never showed up. I stayed home all day, while their customer service reps kept assuring me they deliver all way up to midnight. I will no longer do business with UPS anymore.

I made online reservation for UPS pickup for Jan 5 for my 40 inch flat screen TV that needed repair. The TV warranty company had mailed me the box and pre-printed label to ship the TV in; it was too large (approx. 43 inches wide) to fit in my car. So I wait around around all day on Jan 5, and finally a driver came to get it-- but she saw the box on my front porch and said, 'Oh I didn't realize it was this big! I don't have room in my truck. I'll be back later.' My husband had had negative experiences with UPS where they say things and don't follow thru, so he asked specifically if she is surely returning the same day and she reassured him. She said 'I have to unload or get another driver up here but will get it done for you.' By 6:30pm it is pitch dark, no sign of her. I call UPS and provide my pickup request #, at which point the person says 'it's already been picked up.' I say 'no that's not true' and told him what happened. The person promised driver would come back the next day, that I would get a call from the local facility first to confirm--I figured things like this happens. It bothered me there was no apology but I let it go.
So the next morning comes, I put the TV out on the porch again since I had brought it back inside for the night... Voila, I get a call from 'the local facility!' The guy says 'Okay driver will come today, and to make up for it we will change from ground to next day air.' But guess what, no one ever came-- again!!! I called back, the person pulls up my record and says, 'it shows its been picked up on the fifth already.' There we go again. I repeated the above process-- the next day, I was to receive a call from UPS but never heard back. By 9pm the box is still outside. Now it's the morning after--just got off the phone with UPS, the person irked me by saying 'you neglected to give me the first two numbers' when I read to him the Pickup Request # and apparently he didn't hear the first two digits. Then when he again assured me box will be picked up today and that I will absolutely get a call from dispatch manager, by saying 'don't worry ma'am I have put it in the system so they will get it,' he failed to explain to me how this time it should work when the last several times the EXACT same thing was said and done and still didn't work. Not only that, he couldn't find any record entry in the system and my record still said box had been picked up as originally scheduled.
I asked to speak with someone I could personally get assurances from--or someone at local facility--this is our TV we're talking here, we kind of need it, we only have one!!! -- and he said it's all electronic and there are no phone numbers, nor can he route me there. So what recourse do I have other than drag the box out to the porch again and sit here waiting for the call. He promised in the next two hours I would get a call-- it's been an hour so far.
But I'm done with UPS. My husband had had negative experiences with UPS several times like this-- driver promised to return and never did, damaging product shipped and totally giving him the runaround--he warned me I would not be able to reach any one to resolve, much less escalate the ticket... I'm afraid he is right. I looked online and do see a claims filing option with UPS so I will maybe try it but I have wasted so so much time, calling, waiting, watching my porch with $800 value item just sitting there, for three days?? Give me a break. There is no excuse.

UPS has failed sorely. Sent a ground package that had an incorrect address however it was corrected 5 days ago and they did not update the correct information as of this writing. A supervisor was to call me and tell me the status however, I have yet to hear from them. This information is needed to process loan paperwork and is time sensitive and could result in failure to close on a property. Parenthetically, I will never use UPS for time sensitive information.

I ordered a cell phone upgrade for my son as a Christmas gift. The phone was originally shipped via UPS on 1/2/15 with a request to hold the package for pick up at the local UPS station in Addison, IL. The shipper sent the package with an intercept (placed on the same time as the shipment was created for pick up) so he could pick up the phone at the local facility. However, UPS did not hold the package and instead loaded it onto the local delivery truck. My son checked the status of the package online before leaving to pick it up. We were surprised to see the package was out for delivery so we called UPS. After talking to four people, who could tell us nothing, we located a direct number for the actual Addison facility online ourselves. Previous UPS associates told us they "did not have a number" and "there were no numbers for local facilities."
Both were incorrect as one associate also told us they were putting us on hold to contact the local facility. Given the amount of time we were on hold, only a call makes sense. At this point, we had already spent over an hour trying to find out if the package was actually on a truck or being held for pick up. We then called the Addison facility and spoke with a woman named Maria. Maria presented herself as being a supervisor when we asked for one. We explained that a UPS error put this package on a truck for delivery today despite the intercept the shipper placed to hold for pickup. My son indicated he would be home all day and would be happy to take delivery here and sign for the package. We were told that was not an option because the intercept meant the driver needed a signature. We again stated we would be home and able to sign for the package no matter the time today.
We were told the package had to be returned to the Addison facility and could be picked up after 6 PM today. We live an hour away from the Addison facility. The facility closes at 6:30 pm. There is a winter storm predicted for tonight from 6 PM through midnight from the National Weather Service. My son asked if there were any other options for delivery like leaving at a UPS store in town. We were told there were not but that they would hold the package for 5 days for pick up. At this point, no one had even apologized for the UPS mistake that put the package on a truck this morning. We asked for a supervisor. Maria became belligerent and aggressive. She insisted she was a supervisor. I then said loudly in the background of the call, "Then we will call corporate. Get her name and employee ID number." She then offered to have us speak to another supervisor in house.
Dave then came on the phone and we explained the situation to him. He said we could have the restriction lifted if the original shipper removed it. That would then allow the driver to deliver the package. Why Maria could simply not tell us this is beyond me. This is a UPS error and UPS needs to make it right. We contacted the shipper and they tell us that UPS is the only one who can remove the intercept and that it was placed on by UPS today when they realized the package was put on the truck. The complete lack of consistency in their versions of what is wrong, the lack of any apology at all until Dave, the rudeness and attitude of Maria, and the fact that, as of this writing, we have now wasted over two hours of our time trying to get a package delivered and have no resolution have made me very unhappy.

Dears, Good Afternoon. In this mail I would like to complain for you regarding UPS Bahrain management. I was working with Ups for the last six month from June 2014 to December 2014. Before joining Ups I was a customs clearance in TNT, I was very happy when joined your company, but when joined there was a lot of problem in the operation team, coz of the management, and I have done my best to cover these problem. In my all career in jobs I never saw a bad management same as UPS.
First thing I never saw an operation manager working 99% in the hub area and never set down in his office to check his mails or finding out solutions for the problems, second thing the country manager don't know anything about operation and what is going on, third he don't want to listen to our issues, and more and more.
I have resign from the company on first of December all that coz of the bad management I saw it, and coz of bad scheduling for the staff. How come I'm as a married man and have three children to be schedule for more than one month in night shift? How come a big company same as UPS don't have enough staff to cover, specially we in clearance team (only tow), and when one of us sick or other reason can't come to duty the other will be intent to work double shift? From June the day I start working until my last day my clearance license was still on TNT name, how many times I inform my manager about this and he was saying, “This is not my job.” And customs management inform me that I’m working against the rules and I should be stopped. All the staff there are upset coz of this management, and no need from me to say this, you can yourself to check it.
I have asked a lawyer about this and he told me that it was good from me to stop working coz when the company has offer me to work as clearance it's their job to change my license and not to start any clearing job until I will be legal. Ups in Bahrain don't have any labor to work, they are bringing a free visa labor from outside to work, and this point is against the rules here in Bahrain. Coz of this bad management I left UPS, I like to work but if the management are not listening to our ideas and to our suggestion how need people to work in good and happy? So sir please forgive me if I say anything wrong but I was feeling bad coz of such a big company and has a bad management. Dear sir, I hope you will reply to me if possible. I'm writing this now coz of so many staff in ups need your support as per their request who are still there working, they need your help.

I called UPS next day with tracking and was told it would be delivered the next day somewhere between 8 AM-7 PM. I was told to set up a 'choice account' on ups for more specific delivery time. I did so but the delivery time remained the same. I work. I cannot take a day off because UPS cannot tell me between 2-5 or 9-2. I called and told them about my 'choice' account and they informed me that since the package was going to my husband (I set up an account in my name) it was invalid and they could not give me any information.
I was informed the drivers have no phones or any way to contact them regarding delivery times. Really? This is 2015. The first 'attempt' was on Dec 30th. My husband had to drive 20 minutes to UPS to pick up the package since they would not give us a delivery time less than 12 hours. I have used Fedex & the USPS, Macy's, PC Richards and numerous others and have always been given a delivery window. I am outraged at UPS. Well, the package was received at 3:45 am at the hub today and then I get a message saying my package won't be delivered until 1/2/15. Never once were we notified that UPS would be closed 12/31/14 and 1/1/15. My husband called to complain and the only thing that they told him is that they would make a note of it. I have something you can make a note of!!! So now something that was suppose to be a late Christmas present is now going to be even later. Happy New Year UPS since you ruined mine!!! You guys don't even deserve a 1 star rating but I had not choice.

I have just shipped the very same box to the same repair shop in Geneva IL for the 3rd time. The first two times I shipped from the UPS store in Woodbury, MN, a Twin Cities suburb, insured for $2500 and the total cost was $70 each time. The package was always delivered the second day after shipment. (The package was sent on Tuesday and was delivered on Thursday both times). The third time I shipped it from the UPS store in Eden Prairie, MN, a Twin Cities suburb. The insured amount was $2500 and the cost was $86. The package was sent on 12/29/2014. It arrived in Addison, IL at 4:32AM on 12/30. Addison is 21 miles away from Geneva IL. The next entry showed Departure Scan at Addison IL at 10:58PM on 12/30. There was no activity on 12/31. The tracking website states it should be delivered by the end of the day on 1/2/2015.
So the 3rd time the cost was 23% high for much slower service. The clerk at the Eden Prairie store said the UPS stores are owned separately by franchise owners. Consumers should be aware that they cannot rely on the name UPS to provide the same services among the UPS stores. UPS stores are as different as night and day. The fact that they share the same name means nothings. Very deceptive. UPS stores are 'Buyer Beware' organizations.

I wish that United Parcel Service would go out of business so that it would not be an option for shipping. I have had the same issue with the office in Santa Clara, CA for quite some time and I am at wit's end. Are there any Federal regulations that forces UPS to be accountable for screwing the consumers? I cannot believe what I am experiencing--just an unbelievable experience. The lazy, lying buffoons that are hired to do such simple work--actually work monkeys or robots could do, they refuse to actually deliver packages when they have to climb stairs. And will blatantly lie that they made an attempt to deliver but there is never a door tag to substantiate their claim. Mind you, I am always home when they allegedly come.
I have not had this problem with Federal Express or ONTRAC but I have had to call UPS at least 8 times because of this issue. It stops for maybe 2 or 3 packages but starts up again not long after. Not only will these useless people not attempt to deliver my packages but they also have the audacity to falsify the tracking information saying that I was not available when I am actually home waiting--they never show up. One idiot actually drove up to the building, then immediately drove off as I witnessed from the window. They are required to leave a door tag that shows that they attempted delivery but there is never one to be found though they will tell their supervisor that they did everything that they were hired to do and enough said because they actually uphold them in their blatant lies -- to the point of suggesting that I am lying.
Three people from the local office have stated to me that the driver in question would never do what I have reported because they know them personally. The last female almost made me gag. She went as far as saying that the driver has done things for her -- implying that he is just incapable of doing anything other than what he is supposed to do. What an angel, ha. He has her dumb fooled. At the end of the day what can I expect from someone who drives a delivery truck? They probably have at best a high diploma and know nothing about honesty, integrity, empathy, sympathy and clearly have no moral compass. I am for the monkeys or robots because I am certain that they would do a better job.

Well I knew this was too good to be true. Thank you for all your hard work put in by your customer service dept. UPS always finds a way of ruining a good deed. Well, they seemed to have taken it off the 18 wheeler and placed it in a delivery truck rather than making me wait until Friday so the 2 day air would not turn into a 5 day air. The truck came by the house while I was out to lunch but the driver refused to leave the package at my front door. So in reality the driver now made the decision to go back and turn my 2 day air into a 5 day air. I live in a residential home in a very quiet neighborhood with no crime but lots of retirees. I came home about 20 minutes later. There was absolutely no need to take the package back and not leave it by my front door. I just cannot understand why so many incorrect decisions are made one after another. You guys can't seem to do anything correct. I am refusing the package and have notified the seller that I am asking for a refund.

I've tried multiple times to inform UPS that my delivery address is a BUSINESS and the hours are 7am to 3pm. Every time the parcel arrives at 6pm!! On my most recent delivery, I called their customer service line early in the day to specify AGAIN that my business closes at 3pm and to please let the local dispatch know. I get the "Oh yes sir, we will send dispatch a message right away, sir." I also re-confirmed the address and unit number of my business.
I waited until 4:30pm, as it was something I wanted to have with me, thinking MAYBE this time will be different. Nope. I left my office and went home, refreshing the tracking number web page for delivery updates. 6pm rolls around and the green arrow goes yellow, saying it "needs my attention." THEY GOT MY ADDRESS WRONG BY ONE DIGIT! It took until 6pm and I HAD TO CALL THEM! My phone number was on the order; you'd think the driver would maybe call me??
Now I have to wait until 10:30am the NEXT morning for the local dispatch to call me to try and reschedule my delivery! I tried to contact the customer service line, asking nicely to speak with the local dispatch earlier and got "Sorry sir, we can't connect you to them sir, please wait patiently for dispatch to contact you." I'm unbelievably sick of UPS and wish there was an option at online checkout to choose what company ships as I would GLADLY pay a premium to avoid these idiots!

We had 4 boxes that we shipped through UPS. 2 were no rush and 2, we not only paid for, but paid double to guarantee arrival for 3 days shipping. 1 box arrived a day late. We could deal with that, even though we still want a refund for that day. As we were shipping presents out ahead of our trip out west, we wanted to make sure these were there by Christmas. When we arrived in Phoenix, the other box was not there. We kept track of it on their tracker system and this is what we got. It started in Monroe, NC and made it to Greensboro where it sat for 2 days. It was at this point we made the 1st of about 10 calls. Of course, customer service could tell us nothing. Then, for some reason, it was shipped back to Monroe, NC. It was then shipped back to Greensboro where it sat another 2 days. We had talked to customer service at least 4 times by this point. At the 4th call, a supervisor told us she could see what she could do to expedite our box. Well, it was shipped forward to Lexington, KY where it sat for 4 days. By call #6, they informed us that it was being transported by TRUCK from Lexington to Phoenix and would arrive on the 30th. Well, problem was, we were leaving Phoenix on that day and headed back home.
They could never answer my question of why, at any point, our package was being shipped by truck when we paid an ungodly sum to guarantee 3-day delivery and what I would assume was for air freight. When we asked customer service (by call 10) if we could have the box re-routed back to Charlotte, she told us no. When we talked to a supervisor, he said no problem, but it wouldn't get here until Jan 6. At that point, we just wanted our box back, so we resigned ourselves to that option.
I am kind of scared though. When they said Jan 6, they didn't say what year we would receive it. I am also worried because they told us in order to get a refund, we have to go the UPS store where we had our boxes shipped from to obtain it. I can't wait to see what kind of response we get from the store when they ask for all kinds of proof regarding our shipment problems. Needless to say, we have now opened an account with FedEx for all of our future shipping. I am sure FedEx will send a personal thank you note to UPS for our business - yes, we did tell them about our experience. If I could have given this experience "0" stars, I would have. 1 star is too generous in this case.

I sent necessary information, lost suitcase pictures. But it was just the formality for them. I went pick up a package at night at the UPS Yorktown, NY site. The regular office was not open. You have to enter into a small office occupied by a guard. When I went in, the guard was asleep. He told me the package from the back, would be available for pickup shortly. After 25 minutes he told me, it wouldn't be ready for an unknown period of time. When I questioned him, he became surly, agitated and then cursed me. Finally, he threw me out of the office into the cold. In doing so, he got out of his chair, came around the desk and then within inches of my face. This is actually considered a physical action (assault). When I called to make a complaint, it took 2 weeks for the person in charge to reply, after he promised he would call back in 2 days. He in turn was nasty, combative and quite frankly acting quite stupid. For example, when I complained that the guard was within inches of my face, he in turn said that I was inches of his face. Use Federal Express! UPS runs a terrible, nasty organization.

They WILL NOT REIMBURSE US FOR CONTENT OR SHIPPING. UPS has denied the claim twice. What a rip off. The syrups only cost us about $70 but the shipping cost was about $180 and that was guaranteed shipping in 5 days. I would just like to share how angry I am with UPS horrific holiday delivery service. I live in Northern CA and I ordered several packages well in advance of Christmas, with one being as early as 12/10. To date, I have yet to receive 7 packages, 5 of which were ordered in more than sufficient time to receive them by the holiday.
The packages have been sitting in the San Pablo hub for over a week, and nearly everyday I receive a notice telling me it's "out for delivery", only to receive an update email the following day telling me it's been rescheduled. Complaining to UPS has been useless, as all that their customer service reps do is regurgitate the same erroneous information that I see, and keep telling me that it is "out for delivery". Yeah, sure it is.
I am tired of reading how much smoother UPS's delivery service is this year, as this is a complete fallacy. Apparently, there is a known issue of delays in CA yet I've seen no mention of this anywhere. I felt compelled to share my story in hopes that other frustrated consumers will also complain, as UPS needs to take responsibility for this. Had I ordered packages late in the season I could understand, but that is simply not the case. This experience has severely changed my mind about on-line ordering for Christmas gifts in the future, and I assure you that whenever I have a delivery option, I will NOT be using UPS. They should not accept packages if they are incapable of delivering them as promised. Period.
Since I had to go out yesterday and purchase replacement gifts for the packages I've yet to receive, I will be returning all of the items that were not delivered as promised...that is IF they ever arrive. I will make sure that all of the merchants understand that they lost my business due to UPS's ineptness, and hopefully everyone else who's suffered similar circumstances will do the same. UPS is lying to the media when telling them that their service has run smoothly this holiday season, and I want to see some accountability. Shame on you once again UPS, shame on you.

The guy I spoke to said he put the note in the system, but the package was STILL left at my front door. So I lost my mother-in-law to a car accident on the 17th. Our cousin arranged to have a Christmas meal shipped to the entire visiting family from Honey Baked Ham in GA to us in Fuquay-Varina, NC. UPS states the driver came by however there is no door tag, no notice, and we learned this while sitting at the house and his statement of us not being there 7 minutes prior. When we called UPS and worked our way to the distribution center in Raleigh, NC we were told that some drivers were driving by saying no one was home so they could complete their routes and head home. That this was a common problem. One heck of a problem if you ask me.
After multiple calls to UPS we were told there was nothing that could be done and that an overnight meal would be next delivered on December 26th. This meal now will spoil and not be delivered to a grieving family. The unethical decision of a UPS driver and the inability of UPS to influence their hubs became extremely apparent today. A complete failure in terms of ethics and the ability to influence their personnel. Disgusting.

I ordered a special product on Etsy.com to be custom built for my daughter for her birthday. It was created and shipped out promptly on the 16th of December where it arrived at the local UPS distribution hub for delivery. I noticed the shipper gave an incorrect address which I corrected by calling customer service. I waited for the package to arrive but it never came. I decided to track it to see what happened and I now see a new address in their system which is not the one I gave to the customer service rep, but rather an old address I lived at many years ago. What was creepy to me is I never gave UPS this information, so where did they get it and why did they not check with the shipper or myself to confirm this address?
I tried calling UPS to see why this was added to my tracking info and again confirmed the correct address. The UPS customer service rep now tells me they left the package at my old address and she sent a message to the driver to go back and get it. If you are as shocked as I am read on, the story continues. Guys: May I would suggest a cold beer and some doritos? Gals: Grab a yummy snack and a drink and read on.
At this point I am worried that my daughter's present may be lost for good but you know how persistent fathers can be for their kids. So I march onward confident I shall become victorious over the Idiots In Brown. I check in again later in the afternoon to see if they were able to get the package from the unconfirmed address they pulled out of their **, and they respond with a glorious "YES" and assure me they will have the package rerouted to the correct address and apologize for the mixup. Angry and frustrated, I decided to give them another chance to fix this situation. As the sun rose on the 3rd lovely morning in my suburban neighborhood, it was certain to be a brand new day, with a sparkling new set of circumstances for my special package... or was it?
I decided to call UPS to intercept a potential F-Up and again confirmed my correct address. They now tell me the package was not out for delivery and that it was still at the UPS hub. I then told them if they were not planning on delivering my package, I would like to simply pick it up. Good call my good man, you say, but it seems that UPS can fudge up even the simplest requests. I was given a 30 minute window to pick up the package and when I arrived through the grueling holiday traffic there was a small group waiting ahead of me. Finally it was my turn and the UPS customer service rep asked if I had an appointment, to which I responded "Yes" with a sparkle in my eye. He checks the system... no notes. He then checks the tracking number... sir, your package is locked in a trailer and there's nothing I can do. Angry, I asked why there were no messages in his system and how the hell I can get my package from them. He told me they would reroute it the next day and he asked yet again for the correct address after looking at their system and seeing the old addresses.
The next day arrives, like the garbage man dumping empty wine and beer bottles with sounds of crashing and clanking metal on your first day off in months. I bound out of bed reassured I will get my package this very day, like Robin Hood - Men In Tights. I round up Achoo and draw up a game plan. Surely they can't screw it up again today I think to myself. I decided to call again and confirm the address, the UPS operator tells me the package is STILL in the ** trailer and is not on a truck for delivery. I spent over 2 hours on the phone and they are not sure where my package is at this point.
I decide to go back to the delivery hub and try again to get my package. When my turn comes, the UPS Customer Service Rep says he remembers me and asked if I got my package. I say no and ask for the manager who comes about 15 minutes later. He says the package is locked in a trailer and there's nothing he can do. It will go out for delivery again the following day. I tell him I am sick of the lying and incompetence as well as the empty promises day after day. I left again, angry and frustrated thinking that they probably lost my daughters package and are lying to buy time and cover it up until they figure it out.
Yet, another day and here we go with the same old story. UPS has no idea where the package is or why it isn't on the truck for delivery. I spent another two hours on the phone today with no results. I have decided that if they cannot deliver the package today, I'll file a claim and cut my losses. I plan to reorder the gift and have another company ship it. Thanks for ** up my daughter's birthday UPS. You should be real proud.

Maybe it makes someone feel better to hide behind an online thread and post their 'bad experience' with a UPS driver. Let's get this out in the open--- the driver's priority is the SHIPPER, not the receiver. That means UPS has made a contract with the shipper to deliver your package. Furthermore, for all of you who say 'UPS driver's are lazy,' a typical UPS driver does about 150-250 delivery stops a day handling roughly 500 packages a day between delivery and pickup pieces. All of you office types, or even those who don't work who comprise of most of the customers they service (I'm sure they thank you for your business), think about the last time you did any physical activity over 300 times, walking several miles a day, lifting packages ranging 5-120 lbs in weight. The washout rate is much higher than the retention rate.
The men and women in Brown are the best in all of the service industry. The safe work methods used by your driver in wherever USA are the very same methods used all over the world. The failures of yester-year were the result of over zealous shippers, namely AMAZON, lazy last minute shoppers, and not setting limits to the madness. Where are the issues this year? Oh wait there are none. You don't become a 6 billion dollar company by accident and poor service.

Tonight at about 7:30-8 pm my husband got a text saying his package had been delivered, however nothing had been delivered to our home. My husband got in his vehicle, rode down to our mailbox and there it sat. This is not a secure delivery point as the road that our mailbox is on leads down to a dead end where a mill (flour, etc) is located and employs numerous people. We cannot see our mailbox from our home and would have no way of knowing if someone decided to pick it up off the ground and take it home with them.
During previous calls to ups about the unprotected deliveries revealed that one delivery was reported as being left at the side door (note, we have no side door) and the 2nd time the delivery was reported as being left at the door. I was leaving for vacation, wanted to take the bag with me, but it still had not arrived by 12/9. In the past, even though asked not to do so, UPS left more than one package at our garage. It is exposed to the street and to the elements (I had a book that was soaked by the time I got home). Since a rainstorm was expected, I went online to ask UPS to hold the package and deliver it when we returned. To do this, I had to sign on to UPS. However, I did that and it had no answers. I went to "chat" - sorry, that service wasn't available. I phoned and first talked to a man with an accent so heavy I could not understand him. I asked to speak to someone else and waited on hold for 8 minutes before I hung up. I called back and spoke with a woman who also had an accent and an angry attitude. During both calls, there was loud chatter and noise -- obviously a "call center," and one without even a suggestion of noise silence. I finally went through Ebags, and they tried to get UPS to at least hold the package until I returned. Finally UPS agreed to hold until the 19th instead of the 15th.
However, I had to pick up the package -- and their pick-up center's hours are until 6:00 p.m. Not congenial for the working class; I got in horrible traffic and could not pick up the package, they would not hold it for me -- even though I called and asked them to do so. I called UPS that night and they were unable to locate my package. I asked UPS to hold my package when they found it as they clearly had problems delivering it and I would pick it up. I was assured they would call me for pick-up, instead a 3rd attempt to deliver the package was made to the WRONG address. Some stranger signed for my package at an unknown address and now my $600 purchase is nowhere to be found and my son will not have his Christmas gift on Christmas morning. UPS customer service is terrible, they did absolutely NOTHING to help rectify the situation even though their driver screwed up on 3 separate occasions. I'm beyond upset and UPS doesn't seem to care. I spent several hours on the phone with their customer service and nothing was done for me.

On 12-19-14 I had a package delivered and my Choices preferences said UPS had my permission to leave my packages on-my-patio. Well considering my patio was not there because it is currently being replaced it is not there so the UPS driver choose to leave the package at my front door in plain sight instead of just taking it back with him/her and the packages were stolen. The notice left on the door was not dated, did not give a time it was delivered or circle where it was left. The driver just wrote "balcony is gone". Well that was evident then why did you leave the package in plain sight and not use your common sense and represents UPS' motto of drivers will not leave packages due to safety and or to weather conditions.
When I called the 800 number for UPS the representative I got was very disrespectful and rude, stating to me that according to My Choices the driver had authorization to leave the package at my front door and UPS was not liable. When I ask to speak to a Supervisor he declined saying there was nothing else they could do. The contents of my package was a limited edition version of an item that cannot be replaced and or reordered one week before Christmas. It is my sole believe that the UPS driver took my package and never delivered it based on the fine print of the My Choices program that he stated I authorize him to leave it on the front door not my patio as I chose therefore releasing him of any responsibility. I took a screenshot on my cell phone to prove My Choices choice was to leave any packages on my patio. Considering there was no patio for him to leave it on he should have had the state of mind to take the package with him and have me pick it up at a later date or re-deliver it.

They make their commercial look so wonderful. What a joke! The shipping charge was $14 and the packing cost alone was $18 for a total of $32. That was just unreasonable to me $18 for a cardboard box. They had some moving boxes on sale with prices posted for each size. The size I needed was only $3 and I didn't need any stuffing material (nothing breakable). I am a chronic pain patient. I use the home delivery service offered through my employer's insurance. My package was due for delivery on December 15, 2014. I paid for the Next Day Air Saver. On December 15, I tracked my package and the last visible scan was in my city but the package was not on the truck for delivery. I called UPS customer service and was told I would receive a call back within 1 hour. No call. I called back and was given the runaround. Went to my local hub and was told it was routed to the wrong hub. Called that hub and was told I to call back in the morning. So today I find out that even the last scan shows it arrived in my city, it had not.
So now a lost package claim has been filed. In my situation, it's not as easy as requesting the shipper to resend the package. These medications are regulated by the DEA. I have to go get new scripts from my doctor, send them to the pharmacy, and pray to God that UPS doesn't "lose" them again. I have to pay my co-pays again and pay for UPS's expedited shipping. After looking online, it seems like UPS employees like to steal prescription meds from customers all the time. Watching them steal packages on undercover videos is sickening to me. One admitted after being caught, that he only looked for pain pills. These people have no idea the physical and mental harm that they have caused to me and so many others. I unlike these criminal UPS employees, take these medications because I have to, not for recreation or sale.
It would be nice if UPS could fix this, but the burden falls on me. What a Merry Christmas - I will be spending it in pain. It's just heartbreaking. Thanks UPS. Their drivers lie about where they leave packages - on the street, thrown on the driveway, any place but on my front porch or near my house. It actually takes more effort to dump the items at these other places than to drop them (or even throw them) at my house. I always call when this happens, and although they are very pleasant, the problem is not resolved. I am making a conscious effort to stop buying from businesses that use UPS for delivery.

Lazy UPS drivers are experts when it comes to throwing packages over fences. I have a small patio and the UPS driver that services my neighborhood is too lazy to open a gate, walk in 10 feet, and place the package on the doorstep. Instead, the driver likes to just throw them over the fence as I am guessing it saves them the 10-15 seconds it takes to deliver packages properly. What's worse, I contacted UPS and they didn't seem concerned that this was happening. Their suggestion was to enroll in their "UPS My Choice" service (which is free) to tell them how to properly deliver a package. Fortunately the items were not damaged, but it's pretty hard to damage running shoes and bedding. If I have a choice when ordering items, I will not use UPS in the future. Other carriers are good about placing deliveries right at my doorstep, ensuring that they are not damaged or exposed to the rain.

I ordered two separate orders online, one with Nike.com the other with TNF. They both sent me the UPS tracking number the same day with a promise it would be delivered by the Wednesday of that same week. I waited in all day and in the morning, checked the status and it said out for delivery. Hours pass and nothing. Come 5 o'clock, I checked again and it had changed to Delivery attempt made blah blah blah so I phoned them and explained to them I had been in all day and can see the front path from where I sit and no delivery drivers had been near here. The rude staff member then insisted I must have missed him, so I reluctantly agreed to wait until the following day.
So, it's now Thursday. Waiting again until 7 o'clock until the status changes again to say the parcel is back in the depot again so I called. I guess it was the same rude, incompetent staff member I spoke to again and he told me they were busy and it should definitely be delivered on Friday. Again, with little choice I accepted I would have to wait in again. So on Friday, I waited, getting more and more fed up and irritated with each passing second. At 3pm I decided to check the status only to be horrified that the status has changed to delivered and signed by some individual called Kurshaw! I phoned them and to put it plainly, was not nice on the phone and demand that they recover my parcels. The guy put me on hold while he checked details and come back to me and said that I had my parcel and it was signed. I politely asked him to check the address and name and then it finally sunk in to him that the rookie delivery driver did NOT read the label and despite the street name and post code of the delivered address being different to mine, he still delivered my parcel to the wrong place and boom.
I'm 275 out of pocket and two days have passed since UPS said they will try and recover my parcel and get back to me with a solution. I urge anyone who is sending anything of value to AVOID UPS AT ALL COSTS. Complete disregard for its customers and by the looks of thing are employing delivery drivers that can not read, let alone find a correct address on a package. I am so angry that now I'm out 275 and will have to fork out more money to replace them as it is so close to Christmas and not only that, I am not exactly well off. I know this because I went there to attempt to retrieve my package. I contacted the apartment complex management who informed me that if there is no apartment number on a package, the UPS delivery people just leave it on the floor in the entry hallway of the apartment complex.? Is that the standard practice for treating customer packages a company of this size? My confidence was beginning to lower.
After dealing with Darlene I became very frustrated. I phoned UPS again at about 11:00 a.m. to verify what address they thought the package went to and to talk to someone in management about this situation. I provided the tracking number and went through the whole lets figure out how to quiet this stupid customer down and get him off the line ordeal. When I demanded some service, I was transferred to investigations, at which time I provided all the information again. This time they said that they would open a claim There was no proper description of what that actually meant, but there did seem to be a sense of urgency to get me off the line.
I waited until after 4 pm to call UPS again because I have had bad encounters with the Minot UPS center shutting down on Friday with no accountability and no way to contact anyone in the company until Monday and I wanted to head it off prior to them not answering the phones until Monday. This is when I was informed that the package was delivered to the customer (not sure who that is) and was not the person who lived at ** (a huge apartment building) where the package was accepted today? so the case had been closed?? After getting very frustrated, I demanded to be put through to the investigations department, at which time I was put on hold for about 9 minutes as the clerk tried to find the number.
An investigation clerk that seemed somewhat intelligent then proceed to run me through the whole tracking number and "this is what we show, are you sure?" before I could explain the situation to her. She then concedes and apologizes profusely and informs me that she will open another investigation that could take up to 6 8 days. I explained that Minot center shuts down in a few minutes and I will be stuck up the proverbial creek unless she contacts them to figure out where my package is. Then she lost her credibility and began to insist that she would start another investigation immediately; completely overlooking the fact that someone needed to contact Minot to verify whether the driver found the item or not. I then asked her to do specifically that, to which she consistently repeated that she would open another investigation (seems like her skills were exhausted so she had to repeat that over and over to me until I got off the phone frustrated).
Then I called Minot center in hopes that the driver may have found my package after being told by Darlene to go and look for it. Finally reached someone who could at least appreciate my urgency to get the package before the office closed for the weekend. He even went so far as to take my phone number and promise me that he would do a thorough search and get back to me. Understandably, he could promise me that he would find the package but I at least got the feeling that he wasn't blowing me off as a stupid needy customer (how I felt as I dealt with Darlene) or that I was asking questions that were beyond the customer service skill level of the customer service representatives that I had to deal with throughout the day.
The reason I am so disappointed with this process is because this is the second time I've had to run around town looking for my package. I must say that this company's claim process is very customer-unfriendly (they demand receipts, etc.). How do I know you might ask? UPS has lost my package before and sent me a ridiculous letter that looked like a sixth-grader with no customer service experience put it together (see below):
"Dear Customer: We regret that your shipment with UPS was lost or damaged. In order to expedite the processing of a claim, please promptly submit the required information listed below. Please note that if you have already submitted the required information, you may disregard this notice. If necessary, UPS will contact you for any additional information."
"Documents required to support a claim: 1. Request for Claim Payment Form: Enter the lesser of the actual cost, replacement cost if the merchandise can be replaced, or repair cost if the merchandise can be repaired, and transportation charges. 2. Merchandise Value: Provide a copy of the original invoice. If the original invoice is not available, you must provide other proof, certified in writing, sufficient to identify the package contents and to substantiate the lesser of the actual cost, replacement cost or repair cost of the merchandise." -Is the burden now upon me the consumer to prove to you that the merchandise you lost was valuable to me??? "3. Shipping Record: Provide a copy of the shipping record for the package. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. We strive to provide quality service." -REALLY??? and look forward to serving you in the future I should think not.
"If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call 1-800-PICK-UPS. Please refer to your shipper number and claim number. If the required documents are not timely received by UPS, your claim may be denied." -Thanks for nothing UPS.

I called UPS customer service and was told that it was left at the address and they repeated my address.... told her that I was here all day and that it was not delivered. They gave me the name of the person that signed for it. I did not know who that was. They then said that it was left at the leasing office, which by the way, is a different address altogether. I told them that I wanted the driver to come and deliver it to me and was told that I would have to pick it up myself but that they would address this with the driver. I explained that I had another shipment that was to be delivered Monday and my expectation was that it would be delivered to our apartment.
We left our door open and waited for the delivery, which also was to be signed for. Around 2:35pm my husband suggested I check the tracking number and see what was going on. I did and it showed as delivered at 2:30pm. I immediately called UPS customer service and was told that it was delivered and signed by a person that I did not know the name of nor was there a notification left at our door. The rep explained that the policy is to attempt delivery and leave a note on the door if no one available. That didn't happen. She spoke with someone, don't know who, and was told that they left the package at the "leasing office" of our complex, totally different address than ours, even though the delivery address was listed as ours, which would be untruthful. I explained that my expectation would be that the driver come and pick up the package and deliver to us that I wanted to sign for it myself and have it delivered, that we were home all day waiting for the package. She said that the driver would not do that and that she would call our leasing office and see if someone would deliver it to us. I told her that that is not their job and that UPS should be delivering to us not the office staff of the complex I live in.
I explained that I would not be going to pick up the package as it was to be delivered to our apartment and that I would contact the seller and let them know that we did not sign for the package and did not receive it. She said that she would address this with the driver and speak with his/her supervisor and would call me back. She did not call back. This is really a sadly ran company. My issue could have been resolved in a timely manner with a simple phone call or email, hell even a text. The first day the package was supposed to be delivered the online site said they weren't able to deliver due to the street NUMBER being incorrect. I called and spoke with a customer service representative and explained that the address was certainly not wrong. She supposedly updated the system. The delivery was scheduled for the next day... At 6:50pm they then posted that now the street NAME was incorrect... Again, I called and verified that this was not true and the address was correct. I was informed that because at this point it was Friday they will not deliver or attempt to deliver and package on the weekend unless it was paid for to be delivered... So another two days without delivering a package to the correct address.
Monday comes around and we are expecting the package... We have now told them several times the address is correct... Packages have been delivered to the same address before and we were supposed to get it today. AGAIN, they did not deliver and this time there was no reason behind not delivering the package, until I called. Of course I am furious. "Well ma'am we were not able to find the house. We need more information before delivering the package." Let me point out they didn't update the website until 6:45... Immediately I started an online chat with UPS and my first question was "I want to pick up my package from the customer care center, what time do they close?" They asked other questions not pertaining to question but about my package.
Finally at 7:10 she answers my question. I tell her we will just pick up the package... she comes back and says, "You would have had to put the request 10 minutes ago to be able to pick up the package tonight. There is a strict deadline of 7 pm to put in the requests to pick up for the same day." Are you kidding me??? I've been talking to you for twenty minutes at this point and you goof off and make me miss the cut off?! At this point I am beyond furious. I said, "well shouldn't it just be delivered tomorrow now?" She then explained to me that the package would NOT be delivered tomorrow because we didn't update the system in time with the CORRECT NEVER CHANGED ADDRESS. Ugh. Needless to day I will NEVER, ever use this company again to deliver any packages. Let's just hope and pray that when we pick up the package tonight that they have it and it's in good condition. To start with, this is the 4th time this year that this exact situation has happened to me and it gets to the point where I ask if there is any way the company I am ordering from can use any other service besides UPS. I would pay extra for USPS or Fedex. I was waiting for multiple packages to come in from UPS today, all of which were "attempted" on Friday. I waited at home for the entire day today so it was not missed again. The original update from Friday said 'business or resident name was incorrect.' Not likely but ok, around 5 pm I call up the customer service line to verify that all of my information was correct. After 20 minutes I had everything verified and like I thought, all of the information was correct.
7:30 pm I get one package, which the driver showed up in a Penske truck and didn't knock or ring the bell. He completely ignored me and left it at the door and basically ran back to the truck... at 7:39 pm the other two were updated as my apartment number was incorrect. Really... because the same address was used on the package that was literally just delivered. So I called UPS, held for 3 minutes only to get hung up on. Then I call again and they verify my information for the second time. They can't do anything tonight because my local center closed at 8 pm.
I am expecting a call in the morning and most likely it will be the same thing I always have to go through, I will end up driving a half hour out of the way to pick up a package that the driver was too lazy to deliver. I am furious with them. I got to the point that I started just requesting pick ups, however this time I decided why not have them do their job and just deliver it to my house. I should not be surprised that they messed it up again and full out lied about the reason why it wasn't delivered. If you do not want to do your job, give it to someone else.

I have multiple packages from different senders, all are at the Baldwin Park, CA hub and every day it says on truck out for delivery. I call after my driver leaves without delivering and when I call I get attitude saying another truck could come. Then guess what, after an hour my status changes to delay and says package was left at facility. OK one day fine, this has now been going on for a week. I'm literally 15 miles away. Every single day I get the same message out for delivery on truck "which is an obvious lie" then changes to left at facility. It's been 7 days in a row. Finally someone at UPS says they are in containers and they haven't even opened the containers and have no idea when. I am beginning to wonder if packages will even arrive by Christmas. Use FedEx if you're on the West coast.

Spoke to a consumer rep and a supervisor about packages being left next to the front door. Explained with the poor weather and all the packages delivered in December that I placed a plastic locker, 2 ft x 3 ft x 3 ft next to the front door with notes on it to put the package(s) in the box. The next delivery was set on the other side of the front door. Before this computer system you could leave text delivery instructions. They told me to go to the website and set my delivery preferences. Tried editing the preferences and it's a pull-down list with no other pick and place to edit the instructions. I was told by the supervisor that the customers did a bad job of leaving instructions so they took away that capability and they had no plans to do anything more in the future.

I requested as suggested by our local news station to have packages to be held at UPS to prevent them from being stolen off the front stoop. I received no email notification verifying the change, no notice as to the date of arrival to begin counting the 5 days it would be held. The item was returned to sender. I am stuck paying for the shipping for an item I never received. Day 5 with a holiday accounted for should have been the day I went to pick it up and yet they had shipped it at 1 am that morning. I arrived at the pick up location at 9 and they didn't open until 10. That morning when I had called UPS, I asked if they could give me a direct dial number or connect me to that location. They said they didn't have a number for my pick up location.
This has been a nightmare! Some precious items were in that delivery and I have no idea what condition they are in as they have not yet made it back to the sender. This is a broken system. If UPS had cared in the least bit they could have rerouted the package back while only a few hours away from my pick up point but they refused. Please help. Thank you.

UPS lost 3 packages to be delivered to me in 3 days this week. I spoke to the driver and he told me which house he left them at. It is an unoccupied house on the market to be sold on my street. He even got a signature for the box that required a signature which is nothing like mine. (There are sure some dishonest people in this world.) Total value is close to $2,000 and I cannot get them to reimburse me yet. It is "under investigation". The funny thing is I've done more investigating than they have.
One item is a piece of amateur radio equipment no longer in production purchased off of eBay. It will be almost impossible to replace this one in the great condition this one was in. The other items could easily be replaced with just another order from an amateur radio outlet store which they refuse to do. Now I am penalized for THEIR mistake???? I have been on the phone with them many times trying to resolve this with no success. They say it will take up to 10 days for the investigation to be completed. Again, I am the one penalized for their mistake??? I will do my utmost to never have anything shipped via UPS again.

Now they found another reason why to hold the package, maybe they want to keep for themselves? Now they request to check if are registered trademarks of the goods which are imported... PUMA, ADIDAS, TOMMY Hilfiger, DOUGLAS. The reason for prevent from piracy. My God I know I can't send piracy products, I bought them 100% original! I would like to know since when they care about it when there so much criminals, drug dealers, and piracy goods in Mexico? I just wanted to send a few gifts to my friend in Mexico, to make him happy. Instead of that he and me have nerves. So much money I paid for services, big mistake that I chosen at this time UPS (usually I send packages to Mexico via DHL). UPS never again, at least not for international shipping. I used DHL and never had such problems before, yes was slow but no problem at the custom clearance and yes they did open the package. Tuesday morning I check the tracking to see where it's at and it says the same thing it did on Monday, check it again yesterday morning it yet again still says the same thing. Check it again this morning and yep you guessed it. Still saying the same thing so here I am thinking it's been sitting in the same place for the past 4 days now and hasn't moved.
I call target customer service about it and they don't really tell me anything. All I get from them is "It will arrive when it arrives". So then I contact UPS to see if they know where it's at. I said to UPS "Hey I don't understand as to why the tracking number on my package hasn't updated for the past 4 days now. What is going on?" The guy who I spoke to on the phone was telling me "Oh we haven't received it yet and once we do we will contact you and let you know". Here I was believing it and blaming poor Target for all of this cause I thought they were doing something wrong, so 2 hours after I got done talking to UPS I go check the tracking number again. So here is what I don't understand. The guy who I spoke with on the phone told me UPS didn't have my package yet not 2 hours after I got off the phone with him it somehow magically appeared 45 minutes away from my house. Here is what I think happened - either 1) UPS lost my package and didn't want to tell me or 2) they were just that lazy and didn't feel like scanning the package at each UPS facility it arrived at. I honestly have no words to describe how angry and upset I am about this. Just no words at all.

I called the customer care number and the staff was so unprofessional and so unhelpful insisting that I wasn't there to receive the tv and that they left me a notice which didn't happen. After many calls I talked to a supervisor who promised they'll send it back, and after waiting for 3 hours I called again the customer care only to tell me they tried again and I didn't answer! It was after this I took apart my computer, cleared my temporary desk and moved everything out so I would have room to assemble it. Then 4 pm rolls around, 5, 6. A little after 7, I get a notice that it was left at the facility. So I call. They say that it was left behind and it will be out for delivery tomorrow. My UPS Choice says the window is between 10:15 am and 2:15 pm. I finish out my night and go to bed.
Wake up in the morning, the status has not been updated, so I call again. I get a supervisor who contacts the distribution facility and gets back to me, telling me that it is on the truck for delivery. I hang up, happy that I won't waste 2 days and have my house a mess for much longer. Imagine my surprise when I get another notice of it being left at the facility! We call, tell them we are going to pick up, so they say the facility will call in an hour. Wait an hour, call the main customer service line, get told the facility tried to call and couldn't get a hold of us. Mind you, I live with my phone on my hip and it did not ring once. Now they are saying it is not available for pickup and scheduled for re-delivery tomorrow.
That is not acceptable, so we are waiting to talk to a supervisor again to try to get this resolved. So far, I count 2 bare-faced lies from their distribution facility. House and mailbox is well lit, marked, etc. No attempts to deliver ever occurred on that day. The scab (temp) driver drove past our house as I was on the porch watching for them up to 9:30PM. They sped past our house, stopped down the street, in a Penske truck and then sped away. Then the status was falsified “incorrect street number, attempt to deliver, signature required (not), etc.” Then, was suppose to be re-delivered on Mon 1 Dec.
Now, no status, nothing. Suspect the scab driver threw the parcel out or stole it. Contacting UPS Reps only gets what I can read off the internet. I contacted UPS service 3 times to correct the situation - finally got an explanation. The dimensions and weight which I measured and weighed (41x15x13 - 36lbs) and were entered into the UPS online labeling system, were re-entered by the UPS driver(s) as 43x18x18, 49 lbs & 84lbs (weight changed in transition) resulting in the Fuel Charge of $22.01 which was credited back to my account. The quote of $36.80 was for the weight of the item only.
The additional charge $17.21 ($54.01) is for space in the truck. I asked for a credit for the entire shipment for my time, shipping charge misrepresentation and inconvenience but was denied. The UPS rep, who was outstanding, explained that the separate shipping charges ($36.80 & $17.21) were a normal industry standard. UPS does not seem to be upfront about how they charge for shipping. Yesterday November, 28, 2014 I was expecting two UPS deliveries from vendors. I made sure the UPS driver knows that we are open for business and stayed in the office. The two packages were very important. I kept tracking the packages and when I saw the UPS truck across the street I was hopeful that the packages will be delivered soon since the driver must see that our business is open (I left all lights on and the front door). I was wrong because he never came to our side of the street. A couple hours later the status of one of the shipments changed from "out for delivery" to "delivery attempted, business was closed" while the other shipment was still "out for delivery". I called UPS and after going through their hideous automated phone system I finally arrived at an agent who tried to explain to me that my business was closed so the driver brought the package back to UPS central distribution center.
Took some time to explain the agent that I am the business owner and that I was in the office all day and nobody showed up. Agent told me that my option was to pick up the package at the UPS Center. I asked the agent to add the other shipment that I am expecting to the pickup request as well which she did. I was told that UPS will call within the hour to tell me when and where to pickup the two packages. UPS never called within the hour so I called them again. Finally someone called and told me where to pickup the package. The location was 30 minutes away so I left immediately since I only had about an hour window before they closed. Once I arrived at the location they did not have the two shipments. They could not tell me if they were still on a truck or somewhere else and I was asked to call again Monday morning. I asked what the difference will be on Monday morning compared to Friday night and did not get any answers.
I drove home and called UPS support when I got home. I tried to explain the situation but the person started questioning me about how I would be able to go to a service center at 7:30pm when they close at 6pm and what the condense of the package was. Any of the agents questions were totally unrelated to the actual issue and did not help me as the consumer. I know this is a very busy time for them but DHL and Fedex delivered today on time so why couldn't UPS and on top of that make it so difficult? I tried to email UPS with a complained directly but they have no method of doing so other than a maximum of 500 word email that you can send to support. Within the last two months this is not the first time I had issues with UPS. I signed up with FedEx last night and will not use UPS anymore.

Today, the UPS site states that tracking numbers are invalid numbers today. What is wrong with UPS? Lately, I try to make sure that NOTHING is delivered or sent via UPS. Unfortunately some businesses claim to have contracts with UPS that prevent them from using a more reliable delivery company (or so the company says). Thereupon, I look for another company that does NOT use UPS.
The problem started with the Harrisburg hub giving this error message: "Package routed to wrong local post office. Package will be transferred to correct post office for deliver ORWIGSBURG, PA, United States. Package out for local post office delivery" (UPS, other delivery companies and Post Office often work together to deliver packages lately). This "po" message was of course incorrect. Harriburgh was the correct hub but the package was sent to Orwigsburg, PA instead and delivered to someone there (I don't know where this town is, I've never heard of them, and don't know why the delivery man could not read properly). The business I made the purchase from had to resend the package. The 1st package was never found, according to UPS.
The next FOUR packages that were to be delivered within 2 days had this error message on the UPS site: "A LATE UPS TRAILER ARRIVAL HAS CAUSED DELAY. WE'RE ADJUSTING PLANS TO YOUR PACKAGE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. DELIVERY WILL BE RESCHEDULED." All of the boxes were opened when I finally received them. There was no attempt to cover what they did. Luckily, the thieves were not interested in the items in my opened boxes.
A 5th package (cheesecake) was allegedly delivered multiple times. The thieves obviously liked the cheesecake. I did speak to the company I ordered from and begged them to use a service that was NOT UPS. They claimed they could not do that because they had a contract with UPS. I fought the transaction and got my money back. The cheesecake company was out of the money for the cheesecakes, my purchase of 1 cheesecake and the postage it cost them (I was refunded my very expensive postage). As I said, I did call them about UPS' dishonesty and they choose not to believe me. I am never buying anything from the cheesecake company again, nor will I deal with any company who will not give me the option of a delivery service other than UPS.

It seems unreasonable for them to think that anyone / business would be open at 5 am. They should have offered re-delivery during normal or customary business hours. Based on suggestion from Amazon (because they use UPS store), I tried to use the UPS service to delay the shipment. But they keep repeating exactly the same thing without explaining why we cannot register their "MY choice" and all other services. Then what they did was, they just left our expensive items in front our new place without requiring any signature. Are you kidding me? This is how UPS did their Job. Never work with them anymore!!!
I just move from one town to another and complain them one weeks ago because they left our stuff in front of my new apt door without contacting with us and didn't let us use "my choice". Then UPS is "AMAZING"!!! Then they did it again, and this time, the box is LOST (ordered from Nordstrom). But UPS customer service just said “I am sorry for your inconvenience”, then they disconnected. I didn't choose UPS by myself (If I can choose, never use them) but the store choose it. Now how can I feel better to lose my item. (Nordstrom didn't have a replacement of it.)

Don't understand why UPS gives us customers commitment times and estimated times when they don't keep up with it, especially when we pay extra (Next Day Air). I was giving an estimated time of 9:45 am-1:45 pm for delivery today on a UPS My Choice email and a commit time of 3 pm on a track notification email. It's 6:30 pm and I just received my package. Isn't this a crime to falsify information to a customer? My package even states "Urgent" in big words but I guess that doesn't mean anything to them. I will never use these guys again, but for those that will continue to use UPS, you might want to consider paying for ground service, you might get it sooner than Next Day Air.

I was in my front porch and my surveillance camera was on for the entire day. I called UPS at 4.10 PM sitting in my covered porch, Constantly checking delivery updates. When I checked at 5.10 PM, I was surprised by bold statement of unscrupulous driver claiming that he attempted to deliver and no one was available to pick up. Hope the driver does not get sick and wait for his younger cousin to slap him with equally fake notice to cover up his lethargy.

A package from my boss was shipped to me. The package was shipped to be left at the door if no answer. Since I'm on the road daily driving out of state I never know what time I will arrive home. The package came and a door tag left stating it must be signed for. Not so! The UPS driver here in my area is a real loser. His attitude is so unprofessional! He speeds throughout the neighborhood a 25 mph zone. Talks on his cell phone which is illegal in this state. He will only deliver once a day in the neighborhood thus if you are not home to receive your package tough luck! He will not leave a package ss even though none have ever been taken in the neighborhood. FEDEX delivers two to three times a day. They make sure you receive your packages in a friendly matter.
I will no longer use UPS for any reason! If I make a purchase online and the retailer won't ship USPS or FEDEX I won't place the order. And will find a retailer who will ship by my preference. I have also sent a blanket email throughout my company to stop any use of UPS. I rather give the business to the U.S. postal system or to Fedex. Both seem to get the job done!

Not only that, they called me a few times needing "Power of Attorney" for some reason, they called my mom a bunch of times needing information from her. So apparently you can't do a surprise gift shipment with UPS either, on top of unnecessary scam charges. USPS is lot cheaper and they never bother us by calling us for such ** thing as they need "Power of Attorney" to release the package. Finally, we maintain that our surveillance video which is on spot, has NOT showed a driver walk up to our porch at any time during this day. My wife worked on three paintings for a year. She had them packed into a wooden crate and called UPS to pick them up to send to Florida. We paid them $250. We tracked the package and for 6 days, it was scanned as still being in LA. It also had acquired another shippers name. We were told lie after lie (it will definitely be delivered to Florida tomorrow. Where is now? In LA). In the end, we went down to the depot where it had been scanned 3 hours earlier. We were there for 4 hours. In that time, we were told that it was on a truck (untrue), that they had contacted all 250 delivery trucks to see if they had it (really?), that it was in a particular section of the building (again untrue) and then we were told that they couldn't find it! It was scanned 3 hours earlier! It's just unbelievable.
Their technology is pathetic. Their people are automatons. Their boss (a slick jock-type) refuses to take any responsibility and in the meantime, a year of my wife's life has been thrown down the drain. I will never use these idiots again. Now we have to deal with them on getting a refund and the value we declared back. Why do I think that might be a worse experience than the one we just had?

Anyways I paid to have it delivered next day, guaranteed. That was on November 19th, 12 o'clock comes around on November 20th and I call the nearest center to me in New Stanton Pa. A customer service rep answers and has a deep India Accent, so I started to explain this to her and I asked her if the item was at the service center in New Stanton and hadn't left yet and would take more than 3 hours to get to me then I could just send someone there for it and I only live 20 minutes away. She tells me to check the website. I said no I am asking you if the package is in the center or is it still en-route to the center, she said she couldn't tell me that and that it was in transit. So I told her to get me a supervisor and she asked why, I said I want someone who can tell me where my package is and she says she can, so I asked her again where the package was located, she told me to check the website.
At this point I'm furious so I told her to get a supervisor now. After a 20 minute wait she comes back and says all supervisors are in meeting so I hung up. At 2 pm I check the website and it shows that it was scanned into the center - 1:45 pm, so I waited till 6 pm - still not at my house. I call UPS New Stanton again. I get a male with a deep India Accent - explain situation to him, he says sorry for what happened let me see what I can do, he then says package will be at my house next day November 21st. I explained to him that was unacceptable, I needed this for a medical situation and for him to have a New Stanton Supervisor get on the phone. He put me on hold for 10 min - another male gets on the line with a deep India accent.
I asked him if he was from the New Stanton center, he said no. I asked him where he was located, he said one of the numerous call centers. So I told him that he is going to get a New Stanton supervisor on the phone and someone is going to deliver that item to my house today due to the medical need, he said it will be here tomorrow. I explained to him that if a supervisor doesn't deliver this product to my house that evening there better be one on the truck with the driver tomorrow because I will be contacting the postal inspector. From there to Kentucky and then Miami on the 30th at 6:12 AM. At 7:01 am it arrived to the Hialeah Hub station and placed on truck for delivery. I missed the driver at 3:11 but 30 minutes. I have had issues with my driver attempting to deliver packages while I'm at work so I did the UPS choice member option and paid the $5.00 via online at 3:35 pm to have it delivered the next day to the local UPS store a few blocks from me. It recognized the change and scanned the item on the 31st at 6:02 am at the Hialeah Hub.
I went home on Halloween and called the store because I assumed it would be delivered at store as requested. The store has no log of the box and requested I call the Hialeah Hub. The dispatcher then tells me it's on the truck and ready for delivery for Monday. They close on Sat and Sunday. It's Monday and there is no update on the tracking and no scan. It shows it's out for delivery and will be delivered by end of business day on the 31st. Hialeah Hub says it's at the store and the store says it's at the Hub.
I physically went to the store. The guys were super helpful, but no one seems to know where the package is at. The driver, coincidentally comes in and says "why is dispatcher calling me about a iPhone. I don't have anything on the truck." I am on the phone with international people and the lady tells me to go to the store. I politely and frustrated at this point tell her, "Madam, I am at the store. The package isn't here. The driver just came in and doesn't have it. I just hung up with Hialeah dispatcher and they don't have it there." She couldn't answer me. She just told me she was going to make a note on the system about the progress.
The dispatcher then calls and tells me to make a claim with Apple because they can't do a tracer first without Apple opening the investigation up. He also told me that it is cause for concern that an item has not been scanned in over 24 hours. I call Apple and they go over the UPS scanning info. I explain ALL OVER AGAIN and she seems not to understand everything. I explained AGAIN OVER AND OVER what the dispatcher explained to me, my conversations with the HUB and the Store as well as the driver. So no iPhone, no help. Someone at UPS is taking selfies with my new phone.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do? I guess I should have been paying more attention and saw if FEDEX was an option. Absolutely deflated. I have no idea when or how Apple will resolve this. Am I going to have to wait another month like I did for this? I am sure I am not the first or last person this has happened to.

UPS man came and went today (10/31), no package. Checked tracking and now it says it will be delivered 11/3. Called to complain and get a refund for the "upgrade". I put "upgrade" in quotes because it's not an upgrade when it's now going to be delivered three days after the original date. The agent tried to tell me that they don't deliver Saturday so it would be delivered Monday. I tried many times to explain to her that if USPS was going to deliver it Saturday, UPS should deliver it to my post office Friday, and therefore could deliver it to me Friday. The post office is 1.5 miles from my house. She didn't understand what I was trying to say and told me if I wanted a refund she would transfer me to the billing department.
I waited on hold again, explained this whole situation to who I thought was the billing department, but it was another agent who didn't understand what I was saying. The first agent just put me back in the ** to talk to one of her colleagues. Second agent finally transfers me to the billing department where I go through the horrible voice navigated phone tree, put in my tracking number, and it says I have no option for a refund on this package, and gives me no option to talk to an agent.
I WILL STICK TO USPS AND FEDEX. AVOID UPS AS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. ALL I WANTED WAS MY $3.50 BACK. THEY JUST LOST A CUSTOMER WHO SPENDS MUCH MUCH MORE THAN THAT ANNUALLY.

Waited next day with drapes open, finally tried to track pkg before rescheduling all appts again. Most inaccessible Company I ever attempted to speak with. Finally made live contact with woman who looked up tracking number and read verbatim info I already had delivery sometime before 7:00 PM. I have distinct impression NO ONE CARES.

After asking and asking, past Friday should have come an inspector who did not come at all along the whole day. Despite I called from 3 p.m to 7 p.m insisting in, he was not appeared. At 8 p.m your company called me saying he has come at 5.33 p.m, which it was not true. We were at home the full day waiting for him. Even more, I had to ask permission for the day at work. So that plus damaged boxes and some stuff missing makes you a very deplorable company. So, please, I ask you for a compensation or you will be demanded from my side and my company.
Also note that one of the boxes was widely opened and other one was completely changed from one of mine to one for UPS. Attached you’ll find pictures. Also is missing a PS Vita + game, 2 external hard drive 2TB each with pictures from my wedding and honeymoon and more + cuff link collection and its leather box. Everything, and more damages inside is valued in more than 800 pounds. Not counting I still have the confident that some of your workers returns my stuff, overall the hard drives which have no price for the content inside, I hope you compensate the damages caused.

UPS is a horribly incompetent and substandard company. This morning I was to have a package delivered from my cell phone carrier, sent Next Day Air Saver. Now I had heard nobody at my door prior to when I opened it to take my dogs on a walk; yet I find a "UPS InfoNotice" shoved in my screen door. I was confused when I found the note because I had been inside my apartment the entire morning and did not hear one single knock on my door, nor did my doorbell (which is loud as hell & works perfectly) ring at any time. Also, my 2 dogs bark like wild animals whenever people come to my door... Obviously, this did not happen. I immediately called their customer service center and talked to 2 different reps who could not help at all; both just kept on repeating platitudes from the same evasive and insincere script.
Today is Friday and now I have to wait until Monday to receive my package unless I drive all the way out to Cerritos to pick it up. I live in Long Beach and that is too far of a drive to make just because they choose to employ LAZY, inept, deadbeat employees. I just hope that they don't attempt to pull this crap again on Monday, but if they do I will be prepared. A huge sign stating that I am home will be posted on my front door with an arrow pointing to my doorbell, and I will be recording a video of my porch from 8:00 am on. The joke will be on them if they try to pull this nonsense again. I honestly think I may contact the media and suggest that they do an undercover investigation of UPS since this appears to be a widespread problem from what I have been reading online. Get your act together UPS! I have NEVER had one problem with USPS or FedEx delivering packages. No wonder UPS' business has been on a steep decline for the past so many years. They deserve to go out of business if this is how they treat their customers.

Sprint used UPS to send my replacement cell phone. UPS left the first notice on my door since I was not home. The following day I was not home again, and they left a second notice. I called to arrange for pickup and to find out why they would not leave the item. They told me that the sender Sprint had request option B, in other words signature required at the time of delivery. They told me I did not have the option of picking the item up. I called Sprint and they said that no such request was made. Sprint called UPS and they were told the driver did not feel comfortable leaving the package in my neighborhood. My neighborhood is one of the safest in the country! Sprint requested that they leave the package. UPS called me and said that they would NOT leave the package. I told them they can then send it back to Sprint.
I called to complain to UPS customer service and to make them aware of the lies they had told me regarding the sender/Sprint requesting a signature from the receiver. After some resistance UPS admitted that it wasn't the sender who requested that the package delivery required a signature. That it was their policy, and that their driver felt it should not be left at the address. Additionally, I would not be able to pick up the phone until they had made their third delivery attempt. I explained to UPS that the phone is crucial to my livelihood. My elderly father is in critical condition in the hospital. I need to be accessible! The customer service representative said, "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

They kept coming up with excuses and assured me that they were tracking my hours. So I worked 4.5 hrs + 2.5 hrs + 3.15 hrs +3.65 hrs + 3.5 hrs, and 4 hrs the final day. So for the first week that's 16.8 hrs for the first week. THE FIRST PAYCHECK ONLY HAS 10.75 HOURS ON IT!!! So now I'm hard-pressed to show what I actually worked and stuck sacrificing over 6 hours of hard labor for free! UPS. Monday 10/13/14 - Arranged to ship package to Chicago from Jackson UPS Store #1818 - delivery Thurs 10/16/14. Tracking #** Cost $65.98. Tuesday 10/14/14 - Checked Tracking and it showed delivery to be Friday 10/17/14. Contacted UPS Customer Service and confirmed delivery scheduled for Friday, 10/17/14 due to Sorting issue. Wednesday 10/15/14 - Contacted Jackson UPS Store #1818 to gather information regarding refund and again confirmed delivery scheduled for Friday 10/17/14.
Package contents were supplies and equipment necessary for Food Demo scheduled for Thursday, 10/16/14. Given the information that the supplies and equipment I shipped would not be available to me, it was necessary that I make other arrangements for this. At an additional expense of $38.00 I was able to get what was needed for the food demo.
Thursday, 10/16/14 I called UPS Customer Service to change delivery as it was scheduled to arrive too late to be of use - I was told that package now scheduled to arrive on time Thursday, 10/16/14. Asked to speak with supervisor to confirm this and was told by Supervisor that he apologized for my misunderstanding and yes, the package would arrive Thursday 10/16/14. There was no misunderstanding, on Tuesday the UPS website clearly listed package delivery to be Friday, confirmed by customer service rep on Tuesday, confirmed by UPS Store #1818 on Wednesday.
The issue here is not when the package arrived but the fact that I was given inaccurate information to deal with and had to make alternative plans based on that information. That information was that the package would arrive on Friday - clearly too late for my Thursday demo. That the package did arrive as originally scheduled has no meaning because my information was that it would not.
UPS did not provide the service I paid for in that I had inaccurate information for two days and had to work off that information. It was necessary that I make arrangements for supplies and equipment that negated the need for the package because that is the information I was given. This was a disappointing performance by UPS, my interaction with customer service on both occasions was unsatisfactory and it is also disappointing that there was never any follow-up customer service by UPS.

There were more packing materials between the items as well. Despite this the contents were very damaged. There was $1000 of insurance on it. UPS has still not paid the claim filed early August. We have followed all of their instructions (made a list of prices of the items, took pictures, re-packed the original way, spent time on the phone answering questions, filled out all forms, taken more pictures, etc.). Can anything be done? They have offered to pay $300 but that does not cover the cost of the items or the insurance claim. Delivery the next day would have costed me $45. I chose the $155 option due to EXTREME urgency!
My package did NOT get delivered on time. It arrived the following TUESDAY due to 1) weather and 2) broker. UPS customer service denied my claim and refused to take responsibility due to act-of-god. So the consumer is penalized by all acts of god and the company takes my money. I tried to reason that 4-day delivery would have costed me $45. I am asking for fairness. I ordered my iPhone 6 through AT&T seeing as how they do not carry them in stock. Got the tracking information fairly quickly (the next day) and I was thankful the wait was not going to be so bad. I noticed AT&T paid for 2nd Day Air shipping and read that by the end of the 2nd business my package would arrive. The first business day comes and goes. For 36 hours my package was at DFW Airport. I called and asked a representative why my package was not going to be delivered as promised by the end of the 2nd business day. The rep had tried to explain things in technicalities saying that my package was only en route less than a business day when clearly according to tracking it had already been traveling for 40+ hours.
Dissatisfied, I decided to let it go and be happy it was still a quick turnaround relative to most wanting their new iPhones. Delivery day comes around and I wait patiently all day until finally I see UPS coming up my street when suddenly he makes a U-turn and leaves. I call to try and find out what is going on while now I am reading on tracking that the APT # was either missing or incorrect. Now I am upset seeing as how I was looking at the paperwork from AT&T stating the full and complete shipping address and I even was shown the computer screen at AT&T while making my order and verified the accuracy of my personal information. They express their apologies and give my information to the distribution center my package left from that morning and say I will receive a call. One hour goes by and no call.
Suddenly, my phone lets me know I have a voicemail stating my package will be available from 8pm to 830pm (how did my phone not ring yet I have a VM?). I get a small window of time to hopefully get my package and not only that, but it is a 30+ min drive from my apartment. I try to call back to confirm and the line is busy. I try several times, yet no answer. I was formerly a loyal UPS customer that would even justify spending more to use their services. I will no longer use UPS in the future.

A couple weeks ago (don't remember exact date) UPS came to my home to pickup a package. Usually they leave a package on my porch. I have a small rat terrier dog that will bark whenever anyone comes on our property, mailman, friends, relatives. My son had stopped by and answered the door. They exchanged words (pleasantries, nothing harsh) and my dog ran to the door barking (he has NEVER attacked or bitten anyone, remains inside but barks). The driver walked off and said "good thing that dog didn't come out here, I would have kicked him".... My son stepped out of the house and said "You would not kick my dog."
The UPS driver was at his vehicle in front of my mailbox and my son at the front door and the UPS driver said "Oh, you're a big tough ** up there, come out here and tell me that". My son walked out of the door and the UPS driver got in his vehicle and drove off, my son got in his vehicle and followed him down the street where he had parked and got his license plate. The driver said "oh you're gonna get my plate" to which my son wrote it down and came back within minutes, gave me the number and said to call in and complain. I am only sorry now that I didn't do that. I thought it was silly and two men butting heads. It was days later when I received a package badly damaged (big huge rip in one side and the pressure cooker inside even though very well packaged, had a HUGE dent).
I still didn't connect the two until I was no longer receive packages I knew should have been delivered by UPS. When I scheduled a pickup of a package, I was returning to Amazon and it still wasn't picked up almost a week later, I called UPS. Long story short, at first they tried to tell me they had attempted to pickup. I am here all day as I keep my newborn granddaughter and also I have the dog who barks if someone steps foot on our front lawn area. I mentioned the dog, they said yes we know and we started talking about the incident that had happened. Long story short, I was called and told by a Stephen at UPS here in Denton that they will no longer deliver to our house, that the driver doesn't feel safe. I'm being penalized now for a hothead driver that made threats to my son. So now I am the one that is supposed to have to go into UPS to pick up any package I have!! Ludicrous!!!!

Didn't allow the UPS driver to depart. Asked him to void the delivery transaction. Called UPS at 1800-PICK-UPS twice and submitted my complaint. The first time I called around 3:10 PM on 10th Oct, the UPS lady said I would need to talk to Apple to resolve the issue and that UPS would also open an 'investigation'. I was told by UPS that they would not pay the claim because the item was improperly packaged. I have sent dozens of this same item the same exact way without any damage over several years. Ok, I was mad. I had to take care of the repair myself. Money down the drain...
Fast-forward a few weeks (after watching the UPS guy toss around box after box, carelessly): I receive the box in the attached picture. I inferred from the condition of the box that UPS couldn't care less about what they ship. I contacted UPS to ask why it wasn't ok for me to package something in a way they disapprove of but it WAS ok for them to damage my packaging!? ! The answer I received was startling: "You can expect external damage to your packages." Seriously, the person on the other end of the chat admitted that I have to package to their standards because they will damage the packaging!
Here's the lesson - Although UPS has me over a barrel, I will NEVER purchase insurance through them. If you ship a lot, get private shipping insurance. UPS is disgraceful and I will switch carriers as soon as a more viable option becomes available. DOWN WITH UPS!!!!

I was recently in the hospital and was not able to sign for my iPhone 6 that was being delivered to my home. My UPS carrier, Steve **, called me to let me know he had my package! When he found out I was in the hospital, he BROUGHT THE PACKAGE TO MY HOSPITAL ROOM!!! I really have appreciated his great service over the years; but this was way above and beyond the call of duty. That's GREAT customer service!!

I wanted to change the delivery address of a package I ordered from Amazon. I called UPS 5 or 6 times and was assured of several things, none of which came to fruition. Apparently, as polite as their customer service department may be, nobody who works there has the ability to change a delivery address, something for which I would have paid the fee noted on their website.

Agent adds inches to each package even though the box is marked with box dimensions. No answer is given when asked why they add more inches than what the measuring tape actually shows. Makes a customer realize UPS is charging more than actual dimensions in order to make more money. Will take my business elsewhere from now on. A problem all corporate businesses practice. Take advantage of the customer and don't respond to any questions when asked about their practices.

As a My Choice member, I paid to have a UPS SurePost package upgraded (basically I paid UPS $3.50 to keep my package in their system and deliver it one day earlier; as opposed to transferring it to Post Office for later delivery). UPS has decided to transfer to post office anyway, and NOT issue a refund any time soon for the services not rendered. Getting an American/English tongued native to answer the phone is the first hurdle. Next, my call was transferred around no fewer than five times, disconnected, etc. This, all for the last customer rep to deny the refund, and tell me to call back later?! I will never pay to have a package upgraded, as they could choose to take my money and not render services. I'm warning everyone I know also, and seriously reconsidering using UPS at all. After all, they don't have the business acumen to remedy their $3.50 screw up.

UPS lost my package and gave me no explanation as to what happened, even though it was shipped from a UPS store. After doing some research on the internet I have concluded the following... Consumers should be aware that UPS will not honor insurance claims even though they will sell them. If your package is lost, stolen or damaged UPS will not reimburse you anything.

I've expected packages to be delivered, but I am working during the day, so when the driver left me a notice on the door, I did sign on the back and left an apartment number of my neighbors, so the packages can be delivered there. But when the driver came again, he did not leave packages with neighbors but left me notice again. I called UPS, spoke to 6 different people and I was told that they don't care about what is written on the back of a yellow UPS notice. It's up to the driver only if he wants to leave packages with neighbors or not and I was told that I should go to UPS location and get my packages myself. I do not drive and there is 4 packages for me to pick up. UPS provides the worst services ever.

In April of 2014 I brought a piece of photographic equipment to the local UPS store here in Torrance, CA. I paid for them to pack the unit and to ship it to the purchaser in Connecticut. I specifically had them pack the unit as I did not want to be responsible for incorrectly packing the item. They are the pros after all. I insured the item for what I sold it for which was $2000.00. The item was shipped and was heavily damaged during shipment to the point where is it unusable and not economically feasible to repair. They really did a number on it.
The item was paid for via PayPal in full. The recipient put in a claim with UPS and an inspector from UPS came out and confirmed it was damaged in transit. And that is where it sat for several weeks. The buyer, got mad at the inaction and notified his credit card company (American Express) and they reversed the charge which put my PayPal account now minus $2000.00. I continued the claim at this end, supplying the store with replacement information, letters from repair facilities and everything they asked for and still NOTHING!!!!
So here we are it is now September, 5 months later and I am still going around with these people trying to get paid. I am out the piece of equipment, I am out the $2000.00 that I sold it for. And I am about to go to court unless it is resolved. They sure were fast to collect my money for packing, shipping and insurance! I trusted them and I got screwed! Now they called and said they want the equipment, so now what I have to spend another $300 to have a trashed piece of equipment shipped to them. Sorry, it ain't happening! I have had it with these guys. And to top it off the UPS store will not even give me the insurance adjuster's phone number so I can get the truth of what is going on. Needless to say I am just a little pissed off at UPS, the UPS Store and the insurance company, as far as I am concerned they are all dealing in bad faith.

I shipped a small package at a ups store, next day air early delivery. It cost $128.. The package did not arrive and after multiple attempts with that store and ups, no one will help. They don't care and offer no help. Even the "live chat" cut me off. They never acknowledged their error. If someone is looking for good service, it is not ups. Got the cash - don't care now!

Three different incidences within a couple weeks. Where to even begin! I ordered a package from Amazon (a stainless steel trash can). Tracking # info from UPS said package was delivered at 12:22 pm on Friday, 15 August 2014. I received a text message at 12:49 pm that said the package had been delivered. Came home from work that afternoon... no package was on the front porch.
I went through the entire complaint process with UPS and Amazon. UPS said Amazon likes to handle lost/stolen packages directly and referred me to them. Amazon sent a replacement package, but guess what? If this happens five times, Amazon bans your account and you can no longer order from them! I've been an Amazon customer for years and I have to worry about being banned because UPS epically fails at deliveries (more on that in a moment) or because someone is stealing packages?! Really?!
Anyway, when talking to UPS about this incident, I specifically reiterated AGAIN, please DO NOT just leave packages on the front porch. Please KNOCK at the door and if no one answers, don't leave the package. Fast forward... we have one package coming from Amazon (a kitty collar) and another coming from Target (a bookcase). Knowing about prior problems, we paid $5.00 to have the bookcase delivered on Friday, 5 September 2014 rather than Thursday as we would be out of town on Thursday.
Friday, 5 September 2014 at 12:57 pm we receive a text message that UPS delivered the Amazon package (the kitty collar) and no mention of the bookcase?!?! I was AT HOME and no one bothered to knock. My partner messaged me from work at 1:00 pm to say he received the text that a package was just delivered by UPS. I went out on the front porch at 1:09 pm and ... ... ... NO PACKAGE anywhere!!!
By now I'm beyond livid. 1) This is the second package in a couple weeks that disappeared off the front porch within minutes of delivery. 2) I have repeatedly asked that UPS NOT leave packages without knocking. They don't care. They just toss the packages and take off. I work from home, so I'm around enough times to know they don't bother to knock. I just get a text message that a package has been delivered. Then it's a crapshoot as to whether the package is actually still there. 3) So far, these have not been expensive items, so there is no reason for me to be making this up. I'm not gaining anything here but a lot of extra stress and frustration. 4) I have to worry about my Amazon account because I can't rely on UPS or someone is stealing packages. 5) Where the HECK is my bookcase that we paid $5.00 extra to have delivered on Friday? You ready for this one?!
When my partner finally got through to UPS (after waiting the requisite 24 hours to file a lost / stolen package report) *facepalm* the person he spoke to said, "Oh, that package is sitting here at will-call. We've been waiting for you to come pick it up." Oh. my. God. You cannot be that incompetent.... While still on the phone, the UPS employee goes through the info based on my partner's insistence... and then says, "Oh yeah. It says right here, we were supposed to deliver that on Friday. I... can't... even... there are no words.... seriously.
So at this point, we have yet another delivered package that disappeared into a mysterious portal into another galaxy I suppose. And one package that was sitting at their facility for an extra two days because apparently reading is very difficult and work ethic is a thing of the past. My bookcase FINALLY was delivered this morning, but you guessed it. No one even bothered to knock. I am just in the habit now of going to the door every 10 minutes when I'm waiting on a delivery. Next step: we are installing surveillance cameras on our front porch. If that doesn't help, unfortunately, we'll just have to stop ordering items online.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with UPS a few days ago. It was 4:30 on a Friday afternoon, and a considerate account executive with UPS happened to notice that something we were having shipped, due to the fact that we don't have an account with that specific company, was going to cost over $6000 for an item that only cost $200! Instead of just ignoring this, figuring that it wasn't her business, she actually came to our office to let us know. And since it just so happened that no one with any knowledge of this shipment was there at the time, she left her contact information, and was happy to help once contacted. Once it all was said and done, we were thankfully able to rectify the situation. Not sure what we would have done had she not gone out of her way- thanks, T.!!!
We also happen to have the most wonderful delivery driver on the face of this earth. The office that I work in is a relatively small, family-owned business, and many of the shipments that we get are quite time-sensitive (items that need to be kept cold, orders for customers, etc.). John ALWAYS goes out of his way to ensure that we get our orders as early as possible, is extremely friendly, and always considerate. Good job, UPS!!

I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional, inconsideration and poor customer service, than what I received from UPS staff at the 15 Oregon Avenue location in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Two hours of standing in ridiculously long lines, packed in like cattle, in sweat house conditions, waiting for a package, which I did not receive. I was there a half hour AFTER the facility was supposed to close and still was unable to receive my package.
On Friday, September 05, 2014 at approximately 4:00 pm, a UPS delivery person attempted to deliver my package at my home. My eighteen-year-old daughter answered the door. She was asked for ID and when she returned to the door, the delivery person was gone and a notice left on my door stating that it was a final delivery attempt for the package.
First, the driver could have waited for the ID he requested and left the package at my home. Second, considering I had UPS making deliveries and inquiring about a missing package on 09/02/14, 09/03/14, 09/04/14, before the final attempted delivery of my package on 09/05/14, why was the final delivery attempt of the package made on Friday, September 5, 2014, when there were three prior visits to my home this week and I was not given the package?
I was very angry, called the UPS customer service, and spoke to Kianna, who stated there was no information in their system using the info notice left on the slip. Therefore, I had to check my email and look up every order I had placed online within the last few weeks to find the tracking number and identify the package was the one in question because the sender's name on the slip was incorrect. Once I provided the tracking number, I was told that the package was back at the customer service center located at 15 Oregon Ave and that I had until 8 p.m. to pick up the package.
I arrived at the UPS 15 Oregon Avenue location at 7 pm and it was a madhouse, too many people to even fit in the tiny building. It was extremely hot, cramped and completely disorganized. Apparently, I was one of many who were waiting to receive packages that were supposed to be at the location but was actually still on the delivery truck. Several of us asked for a manager and the only response received was she was in the back. I stood in line for two hours (7-9 p.m.) and had to leave without receiving my package, which may or may not be returned to the shipper/merchant.
This experience was the worst display of indifference, poor customer service, unprofessionalism, and incompetence. I am truly disappointed, and after such a horrible experience, I will make absolutely sure that when I order items from online that either I pick them up from a store or that a different shipper other than UPS is used.
