I ordered a package from JC Penny and they sent the package with UPS SurePost. So UPS suppose to give this package over to the Post Office. Then UPS stated that they will deliver the package themselves instead of giving it to the post office. They never delivered my package to my home. When I call UPS they told me that I requested that the package be held at UPS facility. I never requested that the package be held at the facility. The facility for Brooklyn now is all the way in Maspeth, NY. I live in Brooklyn NY. Why would I want to go all the way there for a package when it can be deliver to me? They would not even reroute my package to another address. Their customer service is terrible. The agents on the phone are rude and have no manners or understanding. It is sad for UPS.

Do not use UPS to deliver US Passport Applications in expedited format. The address to submit the documents to for the government is a PO Box address. UPS will allow you to enter the address in their online shipping software, but after you have sent the package for overnight delivery, you are notified the next day that it can't be delivered. For me, they then sent the package to another state without my consent. In order to get the package back (it had legal documents in it), I had to pay an additional $18 for 3 day delivery back to me.
This is under 1 pound, so I don't know why I am paying that much money for Ground delivery service. When I tried to speed up the process by using their Live Chat, phone number and help@ups.com, no one was able to help. I was directed to contact their billing department to see about the $18 charge only. I did receive one apology from help@ups.com and multiple "I understand your situation. Let me see if I can help." But no one could. Frustrating. The only service that can deliver to PO Boxes is the United States Postal Service. This is not stated on the government website either. I don't want anyone else to go through the hassle I did.

My mailman left a notice for my package on Monday, the 23rd. Both my husband and myself were home. No knock at the door, no doorbell. Our UPS office in Fishers Indiana has significant construction around it. I couldn't find how to GET to the actual building until the 28th, Saturday. They SENT IT BACK on the 26th to a different country. I had one notice. It's gone.

Package is 3 days late and still haven't received it. Called customer service and got a different answer every time. They couldn't tell me where the package is. Package was scanned in at hub but they stated that package never arrived there. Something with UPS is not adding up. They are liars. If I had a choice on the shipping of this package I would chose FedEx. They are always on time. I feel I should get some kind of reimbursement from UPS since it's their problem that they can't deliver on time and give false information every time I call customer service. Very poor customer service.

I was sitting here waiting on my package to be delivered, and checking the status wondering why it wasn't here yet, and a status update appeared saying a delivery was attempted at 7:04pm and I wasn't home. It was a blatant lie. There was NEVER an attempt to deliver my package, which I needed the next day. I called customer service, it was 20 minutes after the so called attempt and they said because it was Friday, the next delivery attempt would be Monday. But I needed my package Saturday. It was already delayed because of the weather. Oh, and delivery stops at 7pm so the driver was off work, which means the driver can't redeliver.
So instead of the truth, which was probably the driver didn't make their scheduled deliveries on time, they lie and say I wasn't home to accept the delivery. I don't appreciate people lying on me to cover up their unprofessional behavior and their inability to do their job. This is absolutely unacceptable, and if UPS cared about their customers, they would reprimand the drivers that do this. Clearly, this is behavior that is taught because it's happening everywhere and often.

The package didn't make it there the day that it was schedule. I waited until 8:20pm when I checked the UPS site, it said that the package was reschedule to be deliver the next day. Once again my dad and I waited, then I walked out to check and the driver left a note say that the package was going to be deliver on Monday. It was suppose to be there the 2/26/15, "tried" 2/27/15, and now I had to wait until 3/2/15. Here is the super upsetting part - I was traveling the 2/27/15 and that was biding which I needed for my snowboard. And this is not the first time.

Twice in a row now I have had packages delayed due to "adverse weather." I live in foothills outside Denver. So doing business in snow you should be prepared, right? Wrong. We get an inch and they delay. Fedex...no problem, they deliver no matter what. BOTH times the package made it over the road to Denver hub through worst of snow then next day when snow over they claim weather delay. I asked if I could come down. They said "yes" but they hadn't even unloaded the trailer! So when is that? She wasn't sure when they would unload it due to...WEATHER! Worst company EVER.

Waited at home for UPS to deliver an express shipment, February 27, 2015. However, the driver did not ring the door bell or knock on the door. He or she simply left a notice of an attempt. Since the delivery was to a residence, I suspect the driver thought no one was home. I've spoken with the UPS customer service representative and tried to have the driver reattempt delivery today, but UPS will not reattempt delivery until Monday, March 2, 2015.

I've called a couple times and have spoken with different people repeating the same issue of my lost package that was sent to someone else. Laptops aren't cheap. It was originally suppose to arrive on the 19th. Tracking showed it was out for delivery twice and then popped up the next day undeliverable due to weather? The streets were clear. FedEx trucks were in the neighborhood. Where's UPS with my package? A week later tracker says package delivered? Who the ** did you deliver it to? Not me. I'm a stay-at-home mom. I was home. Now there's an investigation. I've contacted Best Buy. Someone better fix it before I explode.

Expected normal pkg delivery on 2/24/15. Was shocked to see UPS sticker on front door stating an over 21 person with ID living at my address was required to sign for pkg. I knew, but verified, that Amazon did not send pkg restricted for signature so I couldn't understand what was going on. The pkg did not contain anything of particular value and I have received without incident, others like it over the years.
I called local hub in Lake Wales FL. CS lady was polite, said she would ask the driver and put me on hold. Came back to phone with a serious attitude out of nowhere. Stated the driver said he would not leave pkg in my kind of neighborhood. Totally puzzled I asked what that meant because I live in a diverse, safe, look out for each other neighborhood. She responded that this is where pkgs are stolen from. Having had hundreds of pkgs left on my porch over the years, I have never had even one missing/stolen. None of this was making sense.
I decided to remain calm and get the story from the horse's mouth, the driver, when he made the re-delivery on 2/25/15. He pulled up and I verified that he was the same driver who had refused to leave my pkg the day before. He was. I requested an explanation. Initially he tried to claim lack of porch space (not true) possible rain (porch has roof) and darkness at time of delivery (no one would even see pkg). When I disputed these silly excuses as he was clearly reaching, he became defensive. He stated he would not leave "anything of value here" apparently meaning my house/neighborhood. The implication was hard to miss and I was momentarily speechless.
I then attempted to explain I had never had a problem with UPS like this in 30 years of doing business with them and none of this sounded right. I tried to explain how upsetting it had been for me and that it should never have happened. My neighbors are not pkg stealers. In the midst of my telling him why I was upset, he turned and walked away from me towards his truck. I was incredulous. I asked him, stupidly, if he was indeed walking away from a customer who had a serious issue with him and he stated that he was.
The whole time I had remained polite, did not raise my voice and was in no way insulting towards him. All I wanted was an apology for the ridiculous waste of my time and the all important explanation of why he took it upon himself to do what he did. He is a glorified delivery boy. He had no business making life more difficult for anyone without good reason such as previous problems at my address. There are none.
For the past 24 hours I have tried beyond belief to get someone in a position of authority at UPS to address what happened. The driver is a suspected racist, a controller and when cornered, an extremely rude person who is supposed to be in the position of dealing with customers and working to resolve a mess he created.
Suffice to say, no one at UPS will even address what happened. Apparently they have no problem with an employee representing them to behave in this manner. I am trying to pursue this but if the company thinks that being a prejudiced controlling fool with anger issues is acceptable I don't imagine anything will be done about it. As a white woman happily living in a varied and mixed neighborhood, I am appalled that this happened and intend to avoid the use of UPS whenever possible.

I shipped a gift to Canada and the staff at the store told me it would get there by Tuesday - and all of a sudden they said the receiver has to pay for customs, and I paid for the customs just to make it more faster. But the driver didn't release it to the receiver because of the same custom fees I already paid in the United States. Bad customer service. The staff didn't even make attempt to make it right. And now it won't be delivered till Friday. Three days over the agreed day.

Words cannot even begin to describe how unhappy I am with UPS. I had a very important package that was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. It was delayed because of the weather, and I understand that. My problem is that it was delivered to our local facility at 4am yesterday and the tracking information was updated to reflect that it would be delivered by 8pm yesterday. Well as the day progressed, the tracking information never updated to "out for delivery".
So I called and told the guy that I HAD to have the package and he told me that the earliest I could pick it up would be this morning at 7am. I told him that I would drive the half hour drive and pick it up at 7am. Here is the important part of my frustration. I asked the guy on the phone what I would need to do to make sure it was available at 7am, so I didn't drive a half hour and my package not be ready. He told me that he would put the hold into the system, but for me to wait until it said confirmed. Well it showed confirmed, so I get up at 5:30 this morning and drop my kids off to daycare early, and drive all the way to the facility in East Dallas/Mesquite.
Once I spoke with the "extremely rude" customer service lady Margaret, she advised me that my package hasn't even been taken off the truck! I demanded to speak with a supervisor to clear up the situation, so Margaret called her supervisor Laura. Laura refused to speak to me and I was given very generic instructions about how they are back up and to keep checking online, and that I couldn't speak to her and to make my complaint over the phone. This entire ordeal is unbelievable. The misinformation is very frustrating. I have no idea when or what to do to get my package. I am currently on hold with a supervisor with UPS customer service, trying to figure this out.

This problem has occurred since the beginning of January, 3 to 4 times a week. Every package I have ordered is at least 4 days late before I receive a postcard saying that due to emergency conditions beyond UPS' control they cannot deliver this package. So it's my responsibility to drive 20 miles to retrieve the package. This supposed emergency situation does not exist. Roads aren't closed, schools aren't closed, nothing but a little snow. Which tends to happen in the winter.
I have contacted Amazon numerous times about this situation and they can't figure out what's going on either, so much so that they will not send my packages through UPS but rather through FedEx. Now I'm having more problems with packages from K-Mart. If this supposed emergency situation exists how am I expected to pick up my packages if UPS can't get out and deliver them? What UPS is doing is fraud, they are being paid to deliver these packages by companies and not fulfilling their obligation but rather pawning it off on the customer. Don't big companies have to follow the law? This is laziness and illegal in every sense of the word. I have filed formal complaints against UPS through Amazon. UPS needs to be held accountable for their actions.

We have had nothing but bad experiences with UPS. I unwittingly used them by ordering something from a US-based internet retailer. (The retailer did not specify the shipping service it uses.) As in the past, UPS' "brokerage charges" equal the amount of the item I purchased, and they do not reflect Canadian Customs or tax regulations. This cash grab has happened to us twice before. I have no choice but to pay them, because otherwise the package will be destroyed (Canadian Customs regulation). And as others have noted, their delivery service (if you can call it a "service") is appallingly bad.

Remind you, I have a UPS store located 2 blocks down - but NO. They decided to make some other location the main one for my package, and in order to drop it off and have it wait for me at this closer location, they would charge me up to $10. This is becoming ridiculous!!!! This is the hundredth time in the past 2 months this company is NOT delivering packages as paid to do. UPS people - please don't call yourself a "package delivery company." Amazon uses UPS for their delivery service. When I tried to change the time of delivery for my package because it needs a signature, the customer service over the phone cannot help me at all and said that I need to go through "My UPS" online. By going through the online route, the UPS charges a fee of $5 for any change of delivery or change of address. However, their delivery time is from 10am-12pm!! I work at that time to be available to pick up. When I tried calling customer service, they said that there's nothing they can do and I need to do it online to change any delivery. I sent a package from the UPS store in Somerdale NJ which consisted of a gallon of French dressing in a very hard plastic container, 2 #10 cans of snapper soup, a can of clam juice, and a large can of Marinara sauce. The owner of the UPS store provided a UPS box and packing which cost me $4.25. She then packed the box and I shipped it to my home in NC. On the day it was to be delivered we noticed the UPS truck at the end of our driveway. The UPS man was parked for about 5 minutes and then suddenly pulled away.
I tracked the package on line and it said "package abandoned by both shipper and receiver". I didn't know what this meant so I did an online chat and she couldn't explain the message either. She saw that it arrived at the Statesville NC facility so, she had them contact me. The woman who called could give me no information so she had me call back in the morning to speak to the supervisor. He also didn't know what it meant and was then told that it was destroyed. I ordered something online. The online company shipped the package through ups. Ups delivered my package to a Mcdonald's during business hours. The deliverer left the package at the door of McDonald. When I called customer service, the supervisor told me the deliverer can leave the package there if it looks safe. I asked her what is the criteria for safe. No Answer! It is inappropriate to leave a package at the entrance door of a public place, such as Mcdonald's. Especially during business hours when the deliverer can go inside. The environment wasn't safe if it could be stolen, which I'm sure it was stolen because it didn't get to the recipient. Then the supervisor said that the online business directed ups to leave the package outside. Shame on them. But unlike UPS they took complaint serious and apologized and gave me a refund.
Ups can train people to have customer service skills and to use common sense. The delivery person was either too lazy or too ignorant to exhibit great customer service by taking the package inside the McDonald's and seeking the recipient of the package. The recipient's name was on the package not front door. Do ups hire machines that can't think for themselves or have consideration of peoples packages. Ups choose to display inconsideration to me, the customer and leave the package on the ground of a McDonald's. Ups doesn't seem like they are in the business of delivering packages because when you drop off a package on the ground of a McDonald's and leave it for any passerby to pick up, you show no loyalty to your customers. Very disappointed in ups and have lost all trust in them.

Also I had sent an earlier email requesting status to UPS which claimed that I will get earliest response but so far have heard nothing from UPS. I went online to find out about UPS Nigeria and there are several offices spread around Lagos so I can't even begin to work out how to travel to the different locations to physically track my items as Lagos is a very large city. I also found numbers for their Lagos offices online and have been calling the numbers but no one is picking. Why hasn't UPS made any effort to contact me being a receiver? I need these items for a commercial shoot and I am running out of time. This is really unacceptable and terrible service which in no way compliment the image UPS has built over time. Please I need my items delivered asap.

I had a package delivered by UPS last night. The lady rang door bell and when I open the door the package fell on my foot. It was leaning on the door. Very unprofessional. I called last night and complained. They told me somebody was suppose call back. Nobody did so I call again this morning. They didn't have any information. Then a lady calls. I tell her the situation and she said the driver was only doing her job and I told her, "So her hurting my foot doesn't matter," and she said, "Like I said she was only doing her job," and hang up on me.

I choose UPS. I thought it is the safest company for my package (impt. Documents). I am tracking it every day and it was good because it was fast going here in Norway but then when my package is already here in Norway the problem Begin because they delivered my package in the wrong person and wrong address. I am calling the customer service every day because they are doing an investigation after two days. A good person come to our house and gave my package to us.
I called the UPS customer service again and complain about what happen. They told me that the person who received my package is my husband. How come they deliver it in a totally different address - different house number??? I told them “Aren't you calling first your customer when you’re going to deliver the package?” She replied to me "We don't have company phone." "What if the package is gone?" I told her. She replied again "I am not the one who delivered the package." Rude customer service and not good service I got. I pay much for this but what services I got.

I needed to get a written prescription sent from Richmond, Virginia to my son in Wilmington, North Carolina. My son was out of the prescription, so rapid delivery was important. I managed to get to a UPS Store location in plenty of time and paid extra for an overnight delivery. The prescription should have easily made it to my son in Wilmington, NC by some time Friday. When my son told me at the end of Friday that he had not received the package, I went to tracking. There I found the following: "Raleigh, NC, United States 02/06/2015 8:35 A.M. We've incorrectly sorted the package at our facility. This may cause at least one business day delay."
I made four sets of calls over two days, and talked to a total of six people. I was even told to get up at 6 AM on Saturday to contact them, so they could get the parcel on a delivery truck before 8:00. Long story short... they wouldn't even let me drive to Raleigh and take the package to Wilmington myself. It was lost in "a container with thousands of other parcels." Multiple e-mails to them via their website have yielded no results.

There is no one that takes the accommodation of the disabled seriously at UPS so employees just dump parcels and run.

Ups is delivering packages to a business and charging me for the delivery. I have not had a UPS acct for years and never used it for the short time I did have it. The packages did not come from me & there is no return info on any package. So, there is no way to find the origin of these packages. I call customer service, and to their credit, everyone is pleasant, but not very helpful. I was told that as long as someone continues to fraudulently use my shipper number and send packages, I will continue to be invoiced for the charges. And, if I ignore the invoices eventually the delinquency will be reported to a credit bureau. They refuse to remove my name from this account. I have gotten as far as dealing with their internal fraud department. I have also contacted a consumer protection attorney. I feel like this constitutes harassment.

I purchased an item off eBay and found out via provided tracking that a second attempt was going to be made. Now a first attempt was never made (someone was home all day AND they never left a slip informing us they tried to deliver.) For the second attempt I was personally home all day and my boyfriend saw the UPS truck (was in front of him) and it did not stop. They lied and said I, the recipient, wasn't available. Of course there was no slip to prove they tried.
Today I called the customer service to tell them about this, since its final attempt and the phone operators are lovely. She said she would relay the message to the UPS office in charge of my package. Get a call, a male voice condescendingly (no greeting) saying "it’s on its way". I tried explaining the situation, how it's marked as final attempt, and he said "yeah, it is final attempt, it's on its way." I tried telling him the other attempts weren't made and I didn't get a slip and all he kept rudely saying/repeating is "It's on its way.” I don't know how today will go, if they do this again my package will be sent back.

I shipped an oxygen concentrator from the UPS Store #3486 in Fairmont, WV. I told them specifically NOT to use peanuts as packing BUT THEY DID ANYWAY. It arrived in CA after 5 days. (Shipped on Oct. 4, 2013) The driver there slammed the package down on the concrete and he and the receiver even had a conversation about how rough he was w/ the concentrator. Consequently, the concentrator would not come on when the receiver tried to use it.
I had insured this package with UPS insurance for the value of replacement, $2000.00 and paid a big price for this insurance. Due to the fact that the concentrator was damaged and was now inoperable, I had to pay the receiver the value so he could replace it. I filed a claim w/ UPS then and have been since then trying to collect from UPS regardless of their guarantee and all their ads. They keep asking for more info and are now saying I need a detailed repair cost.
The concentrator is at the Fairmont, WV store. Even if I go get it, I have no place to take it for repair. The only option is to ship is again to some repair place out of state and pay again for the shipping, insurance and container with no guarantee that it is fixable and no guarantee that UPS stand good for these additional expenses. I just want them to live up to their end of the guarantee they put out there to the public. I had to fulfill my commitment to the receiver by paying for it again and I want them to fulfill their commitment to me.
I will never use UPS again and I guess I will have to take this to Court to get it settled. It is extremely sad that a company as large as UPS cannot live up to their claims for $2,000.00 + $35.00 for a wire transfer of money when it is their fault that this happened in the first place. They have been giving me grief for over 4 months now and it is quite unfair. Shame on UPS for treating their customers this way!!!!!

I have had a series of problems with UPS since November 2014. In every instance, they failed to meet their delivery obligations. Mistakes occur, that is understandable. However, after each of these instances, I tried to receive a refund. UPS has set up a system to make sure that you do not get a refund. Thus, they take your money, but do not meet their obligations. Then, they continue to charge you for undelivered packages. In one instance, the transcription read: "01/02/2015 2:44 P.M. The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made." The problem is that we had an office full of people AND the UPS delivery person had already been to our office that day. Thus, a UPS employee lied about what happened and UPS refused to fix the issue. That is outright fraud and terrible customer service.
In another case, they admitted problems but they refuse to offer a refund. Instead, they suspended our account for refusing to pay until this was resolved. In another case, a package that was clearly marked to go to an address that started with 1900 went to 1500. In that case, UPS refused to issue a credit AND refused to make sure the package went to the correct place. Thus, the package had to be picked up by the recipient. Again, UPS refuses to issue a credit. Lastly, there is a package that was just flat out lost. They claim to have a delivery signature. But the problem is that nobody of that name works at the place to which UPS is said to have delivered the package.
UPS is actively covering up its mistakes (that's fraudulent) AND refusing to issue legitimate credits. And, it has set up a system to ensure that problems are solved. Instead, they offer nothing but false statements and fail to meet the obligation that they promise.

I paid $61 for overnight delivery from Los Angeles to a prospective client in Las Vegas on 1/30/2015. The package was to have been delivered by noon. The driver "attempted" to make a delivery at 10:20. I say attempted because he stopped at the gate, saw that it was a gated community and left saying that he had no gate code. There is no gate code, all he would have to do is scroll through the directory, find the name on the package and be buzzed through. I discovered that my lovely, polished professional real estate presentation had not been delivered when I checked online tracking at 11:20 this morning and would not be delivered until Monday 2/2/2015! Since it was before noon, there is no reason why another delivery couldn't be made today considering I spent that much money to get the presentation there on time for a family meeting of all of the siblings.
Customer service was anything but and I asked for a supervisor. After 15 minutes, I was still on hold. Thanks a lot UPS, I hope you go out of business and your lazy driver, crappy customer service rep and ineffective supervisor cannot find jobs for a long time to come! UPS used to make up to three delivery attempts to a residence before returning packages to the sender. Their policy has changed, and they now make one delivery attempt before dropping the package off at an Access Point -- a location that is not always easily accessible. Shipping costs have not been reduced along with the reduction in service. In fact, if you want your package rerouted back to your residence, you have to pay another delivery charge. If you subscribe to UPS My Choice, you cannot instruct them not to deliver to an Access Point, whether online or by phone.
Apparently, the shipper has to provide these instructions, but few of them seem to be aware of this practice, and most recipients probably don't assume they have to ask the shipper to do so. I am just wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this issue. Why pay more for UPS when their service now resembles that of the USPS? UPS claims this is an added convenience for both shippers and recipients, but it seems to me to be a way to collect a shipping fee twice.

I was informed that there was a delay in shipment and my package would be delivered on 1/28. We missed the deliver guy and the driver left. Instead of making a 2nd attempt to redeliver my package, they're sending my package to an "Access Point" which is a furniture store around my neighborhood. I believe that if I'm a paying customer, my package needs to be sent to the address provided, not some random ass access point (especially if they only made one attempt to deliver it!).
I called UPS' customer service line, so that I could pick up my package myself & after traveling to their customer center, I was informed that it was never placed in the system that I would be picking up my package and that it was still going to be sent to the access point location! I refuse to continue purchasing items online if my packages will be sent to random locations. I spoke to a representative last night roughly before 8 p.m. and was informed that they would be sending the driver an urgent message for it to be delivered to my address. Had paid EXTRA SHIPPING FOR FAST DELIVERY.
Package arrived in Charleston WV at 5:35 AM according to tracking. Called wholesaler to find out where the package had been shipped and they had responded to actual address that previous order had been shipped by FedEx 6 months ago without any problems. UPS drivers seems to have a problem actually ringing doorbells or knocking on doors to let people know that they have delivered packages. This is something I've noticed for years. The worst was in 2004 when I had the majority of my belongings shipped from Buffalo to NYC. No one rang our doorbell and we only found out that I had several large boxes on my stoop when guests showed up on Christmas Eve.
After complaining to the company back then, things got a bit better because my address must have been put on some list to make sure that they delivered to me perfectly. I've recently moved and the problems have started back up again. At Christmas time, despite being home all day, packages were dropped on my doorstep. When I looked at the tracking info it said that no one was home. Funny.
Today, I was waiting for another package to be delivered and checked the tracking status on Amazon, which said it had been delivered 3 hours earlier. Again, I was home all day and no one knocked on the door at all. Luckily, the people in my complex seem to be trustworthy and didn't steal it because my package was sitting right out in the open for anyone to see. Ridiculous.

This is the second time I've gone through this with this company. I ordered a product on ebay and the seller used UPS to send the package. I work from 8pm to 5pm and go to school from 6 to 8:40 so I knew I wouldn't be home to receive the package. I live alone so there is no one else that can receive the package. I put on ups my choice to leave my package at my apartment complex management office. The driver goes to my apartment and doesn't even attempt the office (this happened both times I received a package through ups). I call customer knowing I would be given the run around again which I was. I requested to hold the package and I would pick it up when I get off of work.
The supervisor assured me I would be able to pick up my package. I get off of work today and go to pick up my package and the agent tells me that even though I see the request, the package is not there but he can't tell me where the package is. I call customer again and speaks to a supervisor who tells me that since the request to hold was put in after 7 pm, the package was not held but on my email confirmation, it showed the package was held. So I ask for someone that can process a complaint and was not transferred.
I'm now sitting at UPS for the next 2 hours to try and catch the driver between 7:30 and 8 pm which is the only window they gave me to possibly pick up my package. And as I'm writing this I just received another email saying that my package was held at will call even though it said the same exact thing in the previous email and it was not. This company is one of the most unprofessional companies I've ever dealt with. No one has acceptable customer service, no one has manners, no one is helpful. I ordered a huge order from Adorama Camera, a photography store in NYC. It was a huge order. I have ordered from them before, and they pack their products in a box that has their business name and it clearly states that there are photography products inside the box. It was supposed to be delivered on January 2nd 2015, and I was home that day, the entire day with my wife, and my less than 2 week old son. The package said it would come between a certain time frame, I believe it to be between 2 pm - 5 pm. I dozed off with my newborn son around the time the package was apparently 'delivered' to my house. The insane part was that no one heard any doorbell or any notification that the UPS driver came by to deliver the package. I got a notification via E-mail saying that it was delivered, and signed by some random person by the name of 'Chris'. There was no 'Chris' at this residential. There was no doorbell rung.
I'm appalled by how unprofessional the UPS delivery people can be, or even the service itself. How could you release a package to someone other than the person on the label of the package? Use common sense! Use your best 'Professional' judgment...but of course they didn't have any. So now I have a package that was apparently delivered and signed by some random person whom I do not recognize. I e-mailed the shipper so that they can file a claim and investigate the matter. UPS did a trace, which took like 2 weeks. At the end UPS called me and told me these things happen and that the shipper, Adorama should send me a replacement shortly. Next day I get a notification that the trace had finished, and that it said they provided the shipper (Adorama) a signature confirmation and that it was delivered and there is nothing they could do. You must be kidding me. Seriously?
First off, I didn't get my order, why should I be paying for something I did not receive? So buying online is at the buyer's risk? That's utterly ludicrous! Someone has to be responsible for this, and it has to be UPS. How can you release a package that clearly shows that it has expensive products inside to someone other than the person on the label? It doesn't take long to check for ID. Now I am fighting a battle. I seriously hate dealing with UPS. Sadly almost every online retailer uses UPS...I have e-mailed the merchant to seriously dig deeper into this matter, because I am not going to be paying for someone else's error.

The contents contained my personal information including my SS# and they did not seemed concerned.

Even though someone was home we found a card on the door to the effect that no one was home and parcel was ready for pick up at USPS facility. At this location we were told that parcel was sent back to owner because receiver had refused the parcel??? USPS delivery service is extremely bad and probably very cheap, which would explain why companies use it. Most time we use it there is a problem. From now on, companies using USPS will be told to scratch us from their customer list.

In early December 2014 I chose U.P.S. to deliver an important parcel (to be sent from the U.K. and to be delivered to my home address in Lajeado, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) due to their promise of guaranteed delivery. The guaranteed delivery date to my home address was for the 15th December 2014. To date (18th January 2015), the parcel STILL has not arrived at my home address. Inside the parcel are, amongst other items, important vitamin supplements and Christmas presents for my daughter, sent from her grandmother. Due to the incompetence of U.P.S., my daughter has not yet had the pleasure of opening her Christmas presents.
On the 15th December 2014 (the day the parcel was due to arrive at my home address) I discovered, using the online tracker service, that the parcel had only just arrived in Sao Paulo. I contacted U.P.S. via their Live chat Service three times to try to discover the reason for the delay. It was only during the 3rd conversation that I was informed that further documentation was required in order for the parcel to be released by customs. I sent all further documentation requested several days before the deadline given expired. Amongst the further documentation submitted, I sent screen prints of purchased products and their values that were within the parcel. It was equally made very clear that all other remaining items within the parcel were personal items of mine that I had owned for several years.
The documentation was sent to U.P.S. via email, on 30th December 2014. On .... 2014 I received a confirmation email from a U.P.S. representative saying that my email containing all requested further documentation had been received. The same email confirmed that it would take a further seven days for the requested information to be processed and for the parcel to be, finally, released.
On 17th January 2015, during a conversation via Live chat, I learnt that the further information that had been requested and that I had sent (and had had confirmation from U.P.S. of having received), had not been forwarded by U.P.S to the customs officials in Sao Paulo. Subsequently, I have learnt that the package is on its way to being returned to sender and is currently in Bogota, Colombia. It is absolutely unacceptable that U.P.S. is returning my parcel to the U.K. considering that I did everything asked within deadlines given and when there has been mistake after mistake made by U.P.S. representatives throughout the whole delivery process.
It is equally unacceptable to learn that in order for U.P.S. to resend the parcel to Brazil that they will further charge the sender and that if the sender does not pay that the parcel will be destroyed. I have, unfortunately, been put in a position of having to place an open letter of complaint on U.P.S.'s Facebook page as I have been unable to resolve the problem via conventional means to date. I would welcome someone from U.P.S. to enter in contact to find a swift resolution to the matter...

UPS refused to honor my claim for broken antique items. They blamed me for insufficient packaging which allowed them to avoid all liability. UPS puts a hole through the box, compressed it and then blamed me for insufficient packaging. I'd hate to see how UPS treats packages that are not marked "fragile." Even the airlines compensate passengers for suitcases are damaged by the handlers. I'm so sorry I trusted UPS. They should be put out of business!

I shipped a package on 12/28/14 from MA to NV. On the 29th it was at the local distribution center. That was the last time it was scanned. I reported it missing on 1/7/15. UPS' "investigation" team is terrible. They keep asking me the same questions about what was in the box and I keep telling them. Each time I have to go through their terrible automated phone system to get a person. Sometimes I get a person that has a clue and sometimes I get one that does not. About a week ago they closed my case as "delivered," but it never was and the tracking # shows it wasn't. I had to call and have it reopened. Just terrible service from someone I've done business with for years.

I ordered a package, not for the first time, that was shipped UPS. I live in a multi-building apartment complex. I have my own address. The office is on another street, with a different address. UPS, it seems, does not have to deliver to MY address, they can drop at the office, without leaving me any notice that they did so. They don't have to try to deliver to me. They don't even have to ring my doorbell. They just make one stop, at the office, and we have to go get them from there WHEN the office calls and tells us it is there.
I'm disabled. I've been homebound off and on for quite some time, depending on my pain. Nice to have to work my way out, clean off my car from the snow, get in, drive to the office, pick up the package (the day after it was supposed to arrive), drive home, and work my way back into my apartment, whenever UPS delivers. No other delivery company does this. Just UPS. I sent feedback and was told they don't HAVE to deliver to me, in an apartment complex, that the office is just fine. If I want otherwise, I have to ask the shipper to pay more, and require my signature. Talk about money-hungry.

After time had passed I called to check on the status on Dec 10, 2014 and it stated it had been delivered Dec 3,2014 at 1:59 p.m. to a male at the address, which we have NO MALE occupants at my home. I have been given the run around by Sally's Beauty Supply and UPS from this day forward. This is the worse service I have ever gotten with any company. UPS should have people sign for packages instead of just sticking them in the hands of anyone. This is almost a $70.00 order that I was hoping to get well before Christmas and it has been 2 months now. I don't have 70.00 to just throw down the drain on the count of a careless UPS mistake that I can't resolved. I just want my hair products or the money back!! Whatever happened to customer service??? If I was lying I would not be wasting my time calling for months now.

The receiver scheduled a pick-up for me. I missed the first attempt on Tuesday. So the driver left a notice on the door with no specific timing or day for a second attempt. Without knowing any of those details, I took off from work the next day so that I can finally give the package. No one came by and when I called UPS they are saying that a second attempt was made on the day I took off from work, which is the biggest lie I ever heard. Moreover, the customer service people are not concerned with the fact that the driver has lied to their customer and the company!
Do you think I'm going to use their service again? I'd rather pay more or the same and use USPS or Fedex and have my packages delivered and picked up on time. I'm going to escalate this issue because you can't do business like this, you can't blatantly lie to your customers. UPS if you read this review, I want to tell you how much your service sucks. I'd say, fire those liars and hire people who can do their job. There are plenty of people who need jobs. If you can't change your attitude, these angry customers not only will go away from you, they will convince others to not use your services and your company will disappear slowly or rapidly.

Im not one to complain as I used to be in the industry of shipping and dealing with shippers for large corporations (currently work at a company that has a large shipping contract with UPS). Just before Christmas my fiance ordered 2 I-phone 5's for our daughters from Amazon. We had it shipped to her mother's house (Hacienda Heights) so the girls wouldn't see it being delivered. Supposedly the package was signed for and delivered. When we asked for the signature verification it was pretty evident that we didn't sign for it. That signature as a matter of fact is not a signature at all. It's a straight line. On their shipping doc it stated it was delivered to "DIAZ" (my fiance's last name). Funny because nobody was home that day.
My girl and I have called UPS several times. Working with their "Investigation" department (what a joke of a cover-up). Even called one time and the customer support person said "we don't have an investigation department". Either way, the "investigation" has been closed twice saying package has been delivered, so denied!! Both myself and the vendor from Amazon are miffed. I sent him a copy of the "signature" and he even stated that looks invalid.
To date we've heard nothing. $1300 floating around. This sucks BIGTIME. I had to order 2 more phones and have it delivered right in front of my girls (my house) through FedEx. So now I'm $2600 in the whole with an unaccounted for $1300. Just makes me VERY upset that these guys came within a hair of ruining Christmas... wow. Not sure what else to do. I know I wont ship through them anymore. Going to have a conversation with my company as well. Will wait out investigation but have a feeling the "Investigation...cough...cover-up" is going to come back as denied. Probably best to advise my company to pull the contract and stay clear of using UPS. What a shame. What can Brown do for you? Screw things up majorly!!

Second time now UPS driver has destroyed property. All have been recorded and uploaded to YouTube. First, driver pulled up as close as he could to our car and threw the package on the trunk. It was an internet router, and had the company's name on the box so it was obvious it was an electronic device. Follow up from UPS was good at first, I sent the man that oversees the drivers the YouTube link and he informed me that once something is on the internet, the driver is fired.
With damage to my vehicle, having to have that fixed plus go through claims with my internet company, I didn't care. He should not have been careless and there are a lot of people who would do the job better. Fast forward 6 months, the contract driver is STILL contracted with them, he has a shady white van that has been in several accidents and is easily spotted in the neighborhood.
Today, a driver walked up to my home and knocked over my flower pot that was in a holder in the yard in front of my bushes while carelessly walking and wailing around the bags in his hand (it was clothes). The whole thing fell over and landed in the walkway to my door, shattering and leaving dirt everywhere. He drops the bags and steps over the mess like it didn't even happen. I thought I would use my cameras for catching an intruder but obviously it's been mostly used for catching UPS drivers holding up the business name.

Driver claims to have delivered a heavy 25-pound water pump for a hot tub costing about $300. When I got home on the day of the said delivery, no package. Of course I had to call to find out when it was to be delivered after the fact. I was expecting it the current week and had called after 5 days of the alleged delivery not knowing or following the tracking number. My stupidity but assuming that the seller would expect a signature being expensive, I called UPS and they sent me a complaint form that allows for police investigation. I signed and left for driver which he took, I assume. It was gone next day when stated it would be. I also filed complaint with my bank and seller.
A month went by and they admit I never signed for package, but would not admit if insurance was claimed or if signature was required due to I didn't ship. Wasn't allowed shipper information due to privacy. Well I am stuck in the finger-pointing circle it's not my problem by all three. WTF? I am now trying to sue UPS. Also, I am negative $300 in bank account. They, Wells Fargo, don't care either. UPS OR SHIPPER SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN SIGNATURE. IT'S COMMON SENSE ON HIGH DOLLAR ITEMS.

We have now been living full time as retirees in the last two years at our lake front home in Cedar Creek Lake in East Texas, 45 minutes from downtown Dallas. Up until this series of incidents with UPS we never had an issue with UPS deliveries or its delivery personnel. It was the early part of December that we received a damaged 36x24 metal sign from a regular ordering source called Build-A-Sign out of Austin, Texas. When the package was left at our door, one end of the box had been cut open, exposing part of the sign. On removal it was noted that one corner of the sign was dented. I immediately contacted the sender Build-A-Sign and was told to take a picture of the damage and sent the picture to them. No other requirements were given, such as to contact UPS etc. The company Build-A-Sign replaced the sign and shipped it within a few days. We threw away the sign and the box it came in.
It was three weeks later that there was aggressive knocking at our door at our lake home, by what was parties unknown. Since we are both retirees in our early 70's we are very cautious about answering the door of our home to anyone we are not expecting. The actual door knocking was very aggressive to the point that the individual was actually also banging the frosted glass of the door. Both my wife and I were too afraid to actually answer the door that day. We live in an area where drug trafficking is very strong and the local police recently warned residents not to answer their door to strangers. Recently in the area, individuals dressed as Encore representatives entered a senior home, forced the people under the threat of a gun to withdraw moneys from their bank account, robbed their homes after tying up the individuals and beating both the man and woman very badly.
After the individual left, we found on a door a strange delivery sheet taped to it saying what seemed that a signature was required for a damaged package. On calling UPS 800 number I was told that it was our regular UPS delivery person requiring an inspection of our damaged sign and the package that it came to from three weeks prior. I explained that the sender did not require that we keep the damaged sign or its package for that three week period. The supervisor apologized and said it was an error on the part of UPS and disregard the notice.
It was immediately the next day, that the same pounding took place on our door, again almost shattering the frosted glass on the insert of the door. Again we were both frightened. The bangers on the door never identified themselves when asked who was at the door. As my wife opened the door to them, my remark that to do so, I was behind her with my handgun at my side for our protection behind her. Again we were both frightened by the continuous banging on the door. When the door was opened standing right up against the door was a young woman and a young man with her both dressed in brown clothing. They never identified themselves as UPS personnel.
The entrance-way to my home has an entire closed entry way of about six feet. With the gun behind my back, and at my side, pointed to the floor, I asked both of them to step back from our door about six feet and to stand just outside the entry way to our home. They both started laughing at both of us and did not immediately move back. They then said they needed a signature and inspection of a damaged sign and the box it came from, I explained that I had cleared that with a supervisor with UPS at the 800 number the day before and was told we would not be troubled again. I addressed why they found it necessary to be so aggressive at our door and their response was to continue to laugh at both of us. I told them to get off the property and their approach was frightful to both myself and my wife. Our health is not in the best of shape. I suffer with high blood pressure, a bad back and my wife is a two time breast cancer survivor.
It was with days that we found out that another sign package we were expected was being held at a UPS delivery point in Mesquite, Texas which is a good two-hour round trip for us via my UPS choice App which notifies me of all deliveries and time to expect. We never made such a request of UPS. It was then through several calls from so-called supervisors that what we believe was the Mesquite Processing Center that our home was now marked as a "No Delivery Address" by UPS because of the report rendered by the driver who attacked our door not once but twice.
It seems the young woman and her boyfriend lied to UPS saying that they were followed out to their truck with me carrying a handgun on my property which was a complete lie on their parts. When I went to door with my wife, my handgun was never pointed at them in any shape or form. I have been both a Federal Firearms Dealer and a concealed handgun carrier for over 18 years and am totally aware of the law regarding the handling of a handgun. What we have here is lying, misrepresenting personnel who work for UPS as delivery personnel.
I might also mention that immediately following our first encounter with this woman at our door, I filed an official complaint with UPS through their 800 number. There is no doubt that the UPS delivery person and her seeming boyfriend filed a false report to get so called "even" because I filed a complaint on her. The Mesquite location supervisors in both calls to us claimed they were not aware of such a filed complaint and rarely had any communication of any kind with their main offices out of State. We have been told UPS will not make any future deliveries to our home. Our complaint, like the hundreds more filed before us shows without a doubt what a totally unprofessional lying group of individuals represent the UPS delivery service.

If UPS does not intend to even try to deliver in the 3 days before Christmas, why do they accept payment for this shipping option? In tracking the package it was obviously trucked all the way from New York to Las Vegas. It was very important to her to get the gift to me for the holiday and they are unethically collecting exorbitant shipping charges to consumers hoping to have their gift arrive before the holiday. Shipper sent 4 packages to me constituting an expensive karaoke system (worth thousands of dollars) for Christmas. He dropped it off to UPS in Virginia on December 22, so it should have gotten to me in NJ by December 24 in time for Christmas and before I left for vacation on December 26. It didn't even leave the UPS facility, though, until December 24. I then spoke on Dec. 26 to a customer service supervisor who arranged for a Friday, January 9, 2015 delivery, at which time I would be back from vacation and could work from home. I then got emails from UPS saying the delivery date has been rescheduled to January 5. I called and spoke to another customer service supervisor who assured me that this information was erroneous and the packages would, in fact, not be delivered till January 9.
I returned from vacation the afternoon of January 6 and found two of the four packages at the front edge of the front porch, covered with snow. Turns out they were delivered January 5 after all. I then called customer service and spoke to another supervisor who said he had no idea how that happened and apologized, but assured me the other two packages would be delivered on January 9. Today, January 9, I stayed home from work to await the packages. But when I woke up this morning, there were emails from UPS saying the receiver -- me -- had requested the packages be held at the Bound Brook, NJ facility for pickup and I needed to pick up the packages there within 5 days. I then called and spoke to another customer service supervisor who said she did not understand why these messages had been generated and called the Bound Brook facility to get the packages onto the truck today.
She and I spoke to a supervisor at the Bound Brook facility who informed us that the two packages had never really come to the Bound Brook facility! She said the tracking information I had received is generated simply by computer and the only reliable information as to where the packages are is a physical scan. She said the last physical scan of the packages was at the Meadowlands UPS facility. She then proceeded to give me the number she said was to the Meadowlands facility, but when I called it, it turned out to be the regular 800 customer service number! The person I spoke to there would not transfer me to the Meadowlands facility and said the only thing he can do is initiate an investigation to find the packages, which he said he is doing. I then got an email from UPS regarding one of the two packages which said, “This package had been left in the Bound Brook facility and that may cause at least one business day delay in the delivery.”
Thinking that the investigation had resulted in finding at least one of my two packages, I called the number for investigations I had been given. This, at least, was the right number, but they had no record of any investigation ever being opened and said they are unable to initiate an investigation themselves; it has to be done through Customer Service (which I was previously told by someone in Customer Service had already been done). I then spoke (just a few minutes ago) to another customer service supervisor, who spoke to a different person at the Bound Brook facility, who thinks the packages were actually there. This Customer Service supervisor is checking further and said she will call me back in about 20 minutes. We will see. However this turns out, UPS's service had been atrocious and they have been grossly negligent with respect to erroneous tracking information, handling of the packages, deliveries and customer service.

UPS arrived 4 1/2 hours late for a scheduled pick up of time sensitive documents. This caused the flight they were to be on to be missed. UPS said the only flight they could then be sent out on was 24 hours later. This is most untrue since they were in a city of a million people where many flights daily occur. Perhaps UPS 1st choice flight was 24 hours later, but with time sensitive documents they had been contracted to deliver, wasn't the best flight the one that was the soonest after the missed flight? 28 hours later, my tracking online details told me the parcel still was held up due to "Adverse Weather" of which there was none. Weather.com and a call to locals in the supposedly affected area confirmed it was a typical winter night, dark and cold, with nothing adverse preventing flights. Ball dropped 2nd day also.
Repeated phone calls from me for help, contacted me only with their UPS Asia Pacific Call Center, where representatives there could only read to me the same tracking information. I ultimately engaged one, a supervisor, Ann, to try to find some help or information for me. 3 hours later, I received an email from UPS verbatim to what had been erroneously posted online hours earlier about Adverse Weather. And this is UPS Customer Service? With only a Friday left to try to salvage this deal hinging on the document arrival, I emailed their headquarters for help. I am not counting on seeing by morning any improvement.
I will definitely be petitioning for a full refund for UPS' detached and unprofessional conduct, and negligence which has caused much worry to many parties awaiting these documents. Should the deal which required this delivery collapse, I will file also for that avoidable economic loss additionally. LEARN from others` misfortune as seen here in these reviews online: UPS` motto should now be "TOO BIG TO CARE". Delivery date was last year!!! Ordered my package early December in hopes of receiving it before Christmas. Delivery date was set for Dec 31st. The delivery date came, my package said out for delivery. I waited until about 4:30, calling them frequently, only to find out they're delivering it to the wrong address and can't change it until they attempt to deliver it!!! I speed over there to try and beat the delivery truck and I call them again. They tell me the same thing and that there's nothing they can do so I ask to speak to a supervisor. She tells me she can have the address changed. So I return to my original destination. Package is a no-show so I go to the UPS building and they say my package is "probably" in one of the trucks there. OBVIOUSLY!!
The fellow there then tells me I have to wait until Friday morning and they will have my package for me. I go there Friday morning and they tell me "it's in a trailer that's locked and there's nothing they can do". They tell me I have to wait another business day. So I tell them I want to pick it up since they're obviously to incompetent to successfully deliver a package. They tell me that's fine and they'll waive my brokerage fee. Monday comes around and I go to get my package, "It's locked in a trailer and there's nothing we can do about it". I ask to speak to the manager. A lady comes out and searches for my package. Apparently it's already on a truck and out for delivery...to the wrong address!! So I tell them to call the guy and tell him not to deliver it!! "We can't do anything until the first delivery attempt", so this guy tries to deliver my package. Luckily there a fee that he didn't want to pay..wait a minute? I was told they would waive that fee!
So now I know my package isn't in a container like they claimed it was in. So I call the customer service line, and ask them about the fee that they were supposed to "waive". A very rude lady named "Tracy" tells me that they are not waiving anything and that I have to wait another day for my package. And I'm angered at this point so I tell her "no ** that!! I paid for shipping and it was supposed to be delivered last year!" So she tells me I'm not their customer, my shipper is, and hangs up on me. So I leave to wait another day. I awoke happy to have my package on its way. Called and pay the fees over the phone. I get a notice in the morning saying the driver forgot to put my package on the truck! So I call them and give them the business. Tell them I'll pick it up then, they say okay they'll call me back in an hour with information on how I can pick up my package. I received no call after 2 hours so I called them and was told I can't pick up my package because "it's in a trailer that's locked - they will send me a check refunding my brokerage fee"!!! Wtf!!!
Is this an excuse their head office gives them? Must be, because it seems like my package is always in a trailer instead on out for delivery. So I have to wait another day!! Now today, I've been sitting here all day waiting for my package, calling them continuously and being told that it will be delivered by 7pm.. so I called them after 7 and they said "we can deliver your package tomorrow, you will receive a call in the morning". I said ** that!! I'm not waiting another day - I ordered my package last year and my delivery date was last year! Over a week ago!! They told me they will have the package delivered before the end of the day and it'll cost my my brokerage fee. I told them I already paid!! They said I'll have to confirm that with some other person! I told her I have a confirmation number and she said give it to the driver then.. it's now 8:40 pm and still no package. My UPS package was suppose to be delivered on 1/6/2015. It never showed up. I stayed home all day, while their customer service reps kept assuring me they deliver all way up to midnight. I knew that was a lie. The next day they tell me the package was lost and they are not responsible. I believe one of their workers knew what the package was and stole it. I will no longer do business with UPS anymore.

I made online reservation for UPS pickup for Jan 5 for my 40 inch flat screen TV that needed repair. The TV warranty company had mailed me the box and pre-printed label to ship the TV in; it was too large (approx. 43 inches wide) to fit in my car. So I wait around around all day on Jan 5, and finally a driver came to get it-- but she saw the box on my front porch and said, 'Oh I didn't realize it was this big! I don't have room in my truck. I'll be back later.' My husband had had negative experiences with UPS where they say things and don't follow thru, so he asked specifically if she is surely returning the same day and she reassured him. She said 'I have to unload or get another driver up here but will get it done for you.' By 6:30pm it is pitch dark, no sign of her. I call UPS and provide my pickup request #, at which point the person says 'it's already been picked up.' I say 'no that's not true' and told him what happened. The person promised driver would come back the next day, that I would get a call from the local facility first to confirm--I figured things like this happens. It bothered me there was no apology but I let it go.
So the next morning comes, I put the TV out on the porch again since I had brought it back inside for the night... Voila, I get a call from 'the local facility!' The guy says 'Okay driver will come today, and to make up for it we will change from ground to next day air.' But guess what, no one ever came-- again!!! I called back, the person pulls up my record and says, 'it shows its been picked up on the fifth already.' There we go again. I repeated the above process-- the next day, I was to receive a call from UPS but never heard back. By 9pm the box is still outside. Now it's the morning after--just got off the phone with UPS, the person irked me by saying 'you neglected to give me the first two numbers' when I read to him the Pickup Request # and apparently he didn't hear the first two digits. Then when he again assured me box will be picked up today and that I will absolutely get a call from dispatch manager, by saying 'don't worry ma'am I have put it in the system so they will get it,' he failed to explain to me how this time it should work when the last several times the EXACT same thing was said and done and still didn't work. Not only that, he couldn't find any record entry in the system and my record still said box had been picked up as originally scheduled.
I asked to speak with someone I could personally get assurances from--or someone at local facility--this is our TV we're talking here, we kind of need it, we only have one!!! -- and he said it's all electronic and there are no phone numbers, nor can he route me there. So what recourse do I have other than drag the box out to the porch again and sit here waiting for the call. He promised in the next two hours I would get a call-- it's been an hour so far.
But I'm done with UPS. My husband had had negative experiences with UPS several times like this-- driver promised to return and never did, damaging product shipped and totally giving him the runaround--he warned me I would not be able to reach any one to resolve, much less escalate the ticket... I'm afraid he is right. I looked online and do see a claims filing option with UPS so I will maybe try it but I have wasted so so much time, calling, waiting, watching my porch with $800 value item just sitting there, for three days?? Give me a break. There is no excuse.

UPS has failed sorely. Sent a ground package that had an incorrect address however it was corrected 5 days ago and they did not update the correct information as of this writing. A supervisor was to call me and tell me the status however, I have yet to hear from them. This information is needed to process loan paperwork and is time sensitive and could result in failure to close on a property. Parenthetically, I will never use UPS for time sensitive information.

I ordered a cell phone upgrade for my son as a Christmas gift. The phone was originally shipped via UPS on 1/2/15 with a request to hold the package for pick up at the local UPS station in Addison, IL. The shipper sent the package with an intercept (placed on the same time as the shipment was created for pick up) so he could pick up the phone at the local facility. However, UPS did not hold the package and instead loaded it onto the local delivery truck. My son checked the status of the package online before leaving to pick it up. We were surprised to see the package was out for delivery so we called UPS. After talking to four people, who could tell us nothing, we located a direct number for the actual Addison facility online ourselves. Previous UPS associates told us they "did not have a number" and "there were no numbers for local facilities."
Both were incorrect as one associate also told us they were putting us on hold to contact the local facility. Given the amount of time we were on hold, only a call makes sense. At this point, we had already spent over an hour trying to find out if the package was actually on a truck or being held for pick up. We then called the Addison facility and spoke with a woman named Maria. Maria presented herself as being a supervisor when we asked for one. We explained that a UPS error put this package on a truck for delivery today despite the intercept the shipper placed to hold for pickup. My son indicated he would be home all day and would be happy to take delivery here and sign for the package. We were told that was not an option because the intercept meant the driver needed a signature. We again stated we would be home and able to sign for the package no matter the time today.
We were told the package had to be returned to the Addison facility and could be picked up after 6 PM today. We live an hour away from the Addison facility. The facility closes at 6:30 pm. There is a winter storm predicted for tonight from 6 PM through midnight from the National Weather Service. My son asked if there were any other options for delivery like leaving at a UPS store in town. We were told there were not but that they would hold the package for 5 days for pick up. At this point, no one had even apologized for the UPS mistake that put the package on a truck this morning. We asked for a supervisor. Maria became belligerent and aggressive. She insisted she was a supervisor. I then said loudly in the background of the call, "Then we will call corporate. Get her name and employee ID number." She then offered to have us speak to another supervisor in house.
Dave then came on the phone and we explained the situation to him. He said we could have the restriction lifted if the original shipper removed it. That would then allow the driver to deliver the package. Why Maria could simply not tell us this is beyond me. This is a UPS error and UPS needs to make it right. We contacted the shipper and they tell us that UPS is the only one who can remove the intercept and that it was placed on by UPS today when they realized the package was put on the truck. The complete lack of consistency in their versions of what is wrong, the lack of any apology at all until Dave, the rudeness and attitude of Maria, and the fact that, as of this writing, we have now wasted over two hours of our time trying to get a package delivered and have no resolution have made me very unhappy.

Dears, Good Afternoon. In this mail I would like to complain for you regarding UPS Bahrain management. I was working with Ups for the last six month from June 2014 to December 2014. Before joining Ups I was a customs clearance in TNT, I was very happy when joined your company, but when joined there was a lot of problem in the operation team, coz of the management, and I have done my best to cover these problem. In my all career in jobs I never saw a bad management same as UPS.
First thing I never saw an operation manager working 99% in the hub area and never set down in his office to check his mails or finding out solutions for the problems, second thing the country manager don't know anything about operation and what is going on, third he don't want to listen to our issues, and more and more.
I have resign from the company on first of December all that coz of the bad management I saw it, and coz of bad scheduling for the staff. How come I'm as a married man and have three children to be schedule for more than one month in night shift? How come a big company same as UPS don't have enough staff to cover, specially we in clearance team (only tow), and when one of us sick or other reason can't come to duty the other will be intent to work double shift? From June the day I start working until my last day my clearance license was still on TNT name, how many times I inform my manager about this and he was saying, “This is not my job.” And customs management inform me that I’m working against the rules and I should be stopped. All the staff there are upset coz of this management, and no need from me to say this, you can yourself to check it.
I have asked a lawyer about this and he told me that it was good from me to stop working coz when the company has offer me to work as clearance it's their job to change my license and not to start any clearing job until I will be legal. Ups in Bahrain don't have any labor to work, they are bringing a free visa labor from outside to work, and this point is against the rules here in Bahrain. Coz of this bad management I left UPS, I like to work but if the management are not listening to our ideas and to our suggestion how need people to work in good and happy? So sir please forgive me if I say anything wrong but I was feeling bad coz of such a big company and has a bad management. Dear sir, I hope you will reply to me if possible. I'm writing this now coz of so many staff in ups need your support as per their request who are still there working, they need your help.

We received a notice from UPS that 1st attempt delivery required a signature. There was no information as to the second delivery such as time or date. I called UPS next day with tracking and was told it would be delivered the next day somewhere between 8 AM-7 PM. I was told to set up a 'choice account' on ups for more specific delivery time. I did so but the delivery time remained the same. I work. I cannot take a day off because UPS cannot tell me between 2-5 or 9-2. I called and told them about my 'choice' account and they informed me that since the package was going to my husband (I set up an account in my name) it was invalid and they could not give me any information.
I was informed the drivers have no phones or any way to contact them regarding delivery times. Really? This is 2015. The first 'attempt' was on Dec 30th. My husband had to drive 20 minutes to UPS to pick up the package since they would not give us a delivery time less than 12 hours. I have used Fedex & the USPS, Macy's, PC Richards and numerous others and have always been given a delivery window. I am outraged at UPS. After waiting all day for the package, I checked the site to discover that it had been marked as "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt." This was during the Christmas break which meant we had 3 separate people in the house and in visual range of the front door. No UPS delivery attempt was made but they still marked it as such. This also means that the delivery will be delayed until the following Tuesday after I am back at work.

I have just shipped the very same box to the same repair shop in Geneva IL for the 3rd time. The first two times I shipped from the UPS store in Woodbury, MN, a Twin Cities suburb, insured for $2500 and the total cost was $70 each time. The package was always delivered the second day after shipment. (The package was sent on Tuesday and was delivered on Thursday both times). The third time I shipped it from the UPS store in Eden Prairie, MN, a Twin Cities suburb. The insured amount was $2500 and the cost was $86. The package was sent on 12/29/2014. It arrived in Addison, IL at 4:32AM on 12/30. Addison is 21 miles away from Geneva IL. The next entry showed Departure Scan at Addison IL at 10:58PM on 12/30. There was no activity on 12/31. The tracking website states it should be delivered by the end of the day on 1/2/2015.
So the 3rd time the cost was 23% high for much slower service. The clerk at the Eden Prairie store said the UPS stores are owned separately by franchise owners. Consumers should be aware that they cannot rely on the name UPS to provide the same services among the UPS stores. UPS stores are as different as night and day. The fact that they share the same name means nothings. Very deceptive. UPS stores are 'Buyer Beware' organizations.

I wish that United Parcel Service would go out of business so that it would not be an option for shipping. I have had the same issue with the office in Santa Clara, CA for quite some time and I am at wit's end. Are there any Federal regulations that forces UPS to be accountable for screwing the consumers? I cannot believe what I am experiencing--just an unbelievable experience. The lazy, lying buffoons that are hired to do such simple work--actually work monkeys or robots could do, they refuse to actually deliver packages when they have to climb stairs. And will blatantly lie that they made an attempt to deliver but there is never a door tag to substantiate their claim. Mind you, I am always home when they allegedly come.
I have not had this problem with Federal Express or ONTRAC but I have had to call UPS at least 8 times because of this issue. It stops for maybe 2 or 3 packages but starts up again not long after. Not only will these useless people not attempt to deliver my packages but they also have the audacity to falsify the tracking information saying that I was not available when I am actually home waiting--they never show up. One idiot actually drove up to the building, then immediately drove off as I witnessed from the window. They are required to leave a door tag that shows that they attempted delivery but there is never one to be found though they will tell their supervisor that they did everything that they were hired to do and enough said because they actually uphold them in their blatant lies -- to the point of suggesting that I am lying.
Three people from the local office have stated to me that the driver in question would never do what I have reported because they know them personally. The last female almost made me gag. She went as far as saying that the driver has done things for her -- implying that he is just incapable of doing anything other than what he is supposed to do. What an angel, ha. He has her dumb fooled. At the end of the day what can I expect from someone who drives a delivery truck? They probably have at best a high diploma and know nothing about honesty, integrity, empathy, sympathy and clearly have no moral compass. I am for the monkeys or robots because I am certain that they would do a better job.

I waited until 4:30pm, as it was something I wanted to have with me, thinking MAYBE this time will be different. Nope. We had 4 boxes that we shipped through UPS. 2 were no rush and 2, we not only paid for, but paid double to guarantee arrival for 3 days shipping. 1 box arrived a day late. We could deal with that, even though we still want a refund for that day. As we were shipping presents out ahead of our trip out west, we wanted to make sure these were there by Christmas. When we arrived in Phoenix, the other box was not there. We kept track of it on their tracker system and this is what we got. It started in Monroe, NC and made it to Greensboro where it sat for 2 days. It was at this point we made the 1st of about 10 calls. Of course, customer service could tell us nothing. Then, for some reason, it was shipped back to Monroe, NC. It was then shipped back to Greensboro where it sat another 2 days. We had talked to customer service at least 4 times by this point. At the 4th call, a supervisor told us she could see what she could do to expedite our box. Well, it was shipped forward to Lexington, KY where it sat for 4 days. By call #6, they informed us that it was being transported by TRUCK from Lexington to Phoenix and would arrive on the 30th. Well, problem was, we were leaving Phoenix on that day and headed back home.
They could never answer my question of why, at any point, our package was being shipped by truck when we paid an ungodly sum to guarantee 3-day delivery and what I would assume was for air freight. When we asked customer service (by call 10) if we could have the box re-routed back to Charlotte, she told us no. When we talked to a supervisor, he said no problem, but it wouldn't get here until Jan 6. At that point, we just wanted our box back, so we resigned ourselves to that option.
I am kind of scared though. When they said Jan 6, they didn't say what year we would receive it. I am also worried because they told us in order to get a refund, we have to go the UPS store where we had our boxes shipped from to obtain it. I can't wait to see what kind of response we get from the store when they ask for all kinds of proof regarding our shipment problems. Needless to say, we have now opened an account with FedEx for all of our future shipping. I am sure FedEx will send a personal thank you note to UPS for our business - yes, we did tell them about our experience. If I could have given this experience "0" stars, I would have. 1 star is too generous in this case.

When I questioned him, he became surly, agitated and then cursed me. Finally, he threw me out of the office into the cold. In doing so, he got out of his chair, came around the desk and then within inches of my face. This is actually considered a physical action (assault). When I called to make a complaint, it took 2 weeks for the person in charge to reply, after he promised he would call back in 2 days. I would just like to share how angry I am with UPS horrific holiday delivery service. I live in Northern CA and I ordered several packages well in advance of Christmas, with one being as early as 12/10. To date, I have yet to receive 7 packages, 5 of which were ordered in more than sufficient time to receive them by the holiday.
The packages have been sitting in the San Pablo hub for over a week, and nearly everyday I receive a notice telling me it's "out for delivery", only to receive an update email the following day telling me it's been rescheduled. Complaining to UPS has been useless, as all that their customer service reps do is regurgitate the same erroneous information that I see, and keep telling me that it is "out for delivery". Yeah, sure it is.
I am tired of reading how much smoother UPS's delivery service is this year, as this is a complete fallacy. Apparently, there is a known issue of delays in CA yet I've seen no mention of this anywhere. I felt compelled to share my story in hopes that other frustrated consumers will also complain, as UPS needs to take responsibility for this. Had I ordered packages late in the season I could understand, but that is simply not the case. This experience has severely changed my mind about on-line ordering for Christmas gifts in the future, and I assure you that whenever I have a delivery option, I will NOT be using UPS. They should not accept packages if they are incapable of delivering them as promised. Period.
Since I had to go out yesterday and purchase replacement gifts for the packages I've yet to receive, I will be returning all of the items that were not delivered as promised...that is IF they ever arrive. I will make sure that all of the merchants understand that they lost my business due to UPS's ineptness, and hopefully everyone else who's suffered similar circumstances will do the same. UPS is lying to the media when telling them that their service has run smoothly this holiday season, and I want to see some accountability. Shame on you once again UPS, shame on you.

After multiple calls to UPS we were told there was nothing that could be done and that an overnight meal would be next delivered on December 26th. This meal now will spoil and not be delivered to a grieving family. The unethical decision of a UPS driver and the inability of UPS to influence their hubs became extremely apparent today. A complete failure in terms of ethics and the ability to influence their personnel. Disgusting.

I will not be using UPS in the future. I would expect this from the USPS...not UPS. I lost faith in you as a company. Your reputation is now tarnished in my books... I ordered a special product on Etsy.com to be custom built for my daughter for her birthday. It was created and shipped out promptly on the 16th of December where it arrived at the local UPS distribution hub for delivery. I noticed the shipper gave an incorrect address which I corrected by calling customer service. I waited for the package to arrive but it never came. I decided to track it to see what happened and I now see a new address in their system which is not the one I gave to the customer service rep, but rather an old address I lived at many years ago. What was creepy to me is I never gave UPS this information, so where did they get it and why did they not check with the shipper or myself to confirm this address?
I tried calling UPS to see why this was added to my tracking info and again confirmed the correct address. The UPS customer service rep now tells me they left the package at my old address and she sent a message to the driver to go back and get it. If you are as shocked as I am read on, the story continues. Guys: May I would suggest a cold beer and some doritos? Gals: Grab a yummy snack and a drink and read on.
At this point I am worried that my daughter's present may be lost for good but you know how persistent fathers can be for their kids. So I march onward confident I shall become victorious over the Idiots In Brown. I check in again later in the afternoon to see if they were able to get the package from the unconfirmed address they pulled out of their **, and they respond with a glorious "YES" and assure me they will have the package rerouted to the correct address and apologize for the mixup. Angry and frustrated, I decided to give them another chance to fix this situation. As the sun rose on the 3rd lovely morning in my suburban neighborhood, it was certain to be a brand new day, with a sparkling new set of circumstances for my special package... or was it?
I decided to call UPS to intercept a potential F-Up and again confirmed my correct address. They now tell me the package was not out for delivery and that it was still at the UPS hub. I then told them if they were not planning on delivering my package, I would like to simply pick it up. Good call my good man, you say, but it seems that UPS can fudge up even the simplest requests. I was given a 30 minute window to pick up the package and when I arrived through the grueling holiday traffic there was a small group waiting ahead of me. Finally it was my turn and the UPS customer service rep asked if I had an appointment, to which I responded "Yes" with a sparkle in my eye. He checks the system... no notes. He then checks the tracking number... sir, your package is locked in a trailer and there's nothing I can do. Angry, I asked why there were no messages in his system and how the hell I can get my package from them. He told me they would reroute it the next day and he asked yet again for the correct address after looking at their system and seeing the old addresses.
The next day arrives, like the garbage man dumping empty wine and beer bottles with sounds of crashing and clanking metal on your first day off in months. I bound out of bed reassured I will get my package this very day, like Robin Hood - Men In Tights. I round up Achoo and draw up a game plan. Surely they can't screw it up again today I think to myself. I decided to call again and confirm the address, the UPS operator tells me the package is STILL in the ** trailer and is not on a truck for delivery. I spent over 2 hours on the phone and they are not sure where my package is at this point.
I decide to go back to the delivery hub and try again to get my package. When my turn comes, the UPS Customer Service Rep says he remembers me and asked if I got my package. I say no and ask for the manager who comes about 15 minutes later. He says the package is locked in a trailer and there's nothing he can do. It will go out for delivery again the following day. I tell him I am sick of the lying and incompetence as well as the empty promises day after day. I left again, angry and frustrated thinking that they probably lost my daughters package and are lying to buy time and cover it up until they figure it out.
Yet, another day and here we go with the same old story. UPS has no idea where the package is or why it isn't on the truck for delivery. I spent another two hours on the phone today with no results. I have decided that if they cannot deliver the package today, I'll file a claim and cut my losses. I plan to reorder the gift and have another company ship it. Thanks for ** up my daughter's birthday UPS. You should be real proud.

Maybe it makes someone feel better to hide behind an online thread and post their 'bad experience' with a UPS driver. Let's get this out in the open--- the driver's priority is the SHIPPER, not the receiver. That means UPS has made a contract with the shipper to deliver your package. Furthermore, for all of you who say 'UPS driver's are lazy,' a typical UPS driver does about 150-250 delivery stops a day handling roughly 500 packages a day between delivery and pickup pieces. All of you office types, or even those who don't work who comprise of most of the customers they service (I'm sure they thank you for your business), think about the last time you did any physical activity over 300 times, walking several miles a day, lifting packages ranging 5-120 lbs in weight. The washout rate is much higher than the retention rate.
The men and women in Brown are the best in all of the service industry. The safe work methods used by your driver in wherever USA are the very same methods used all over the world. The failures of yester-year were the result of over zealous shippers, namely AMAZON, lazy last minute shoppers, and not setting limits to the madness. Where are the issues this year? Oh wait there are none. You don't become a 6 billion dollar company by accident and poor service.

I have contacted UPS Customer Service regarding this issue twice previously for the same complaint. Thought it was handled, but tonight it happened again. Our home is 2/10 of a mile off the road. Our mailbox is located on the street where you turn in to go to our house. Tonight at about 7:30-8 pm my husband got a text saying his package had been delivered, however nothing had been delivered to our home. My husband got in his vehicle, rode down to our mailbox and there it sat. This is not a secure delivery point as the road that our mailbox is on leads down to a dead end where a mill (flour, etc) is located and employs numerous people. We cannot see our mailbox from our home and would have no way of knowing if someone decided to pick it up off the ground and take it home with them.
During previous calls to ups about the unprotected deliveries revealed that one delivery was reported as being left at the side door (note, we have no side door) and the 2nd time the delivery was reported as being left at the door. Tonight when it occurred again I simply could not believe it. They have become completely irresponsible in their delivery of packages.

I ordered a bag which I was told by Ebags would be shipped to arrive by 12/5. They timely sent to UPS, however UPS held the bag. I was leaving for vacation, wanted to take the bag with me, but it still had not arrived by 12/9. In the past, even though asked not to do so, UPS left more than one package at our garage. It is exposed to the street and to the elements (I had a book that was soaked by the time I got home). Since a rainstorm was expected, I went online to ask UPS to hold the package and deliver it when we returned. To do this, I had to sign on to UPS. However, I did that and it had no answers. I went to "chat" - sorry, that service wasn't available. I phoned and first talked to a man with an accent so heavy I could not understand him. I asked to speak to someone else and waited on hold for 8 minutes before I hung up. I called back and spoke with a woman who also had an accent and an angry attitude. During both calls, there was loud chatter and noise -- obviously a "call center," and one without even a suggestion of noise silence. I finally went through Ebags, and they tried to get UPS to at least hold the package until I returned. Finally UPS agreed to hold until the 19th instead of the 15th.
However, I had to pick up the package -- and their pick-up center's hours are until 6:00 p.m. Not congenial for the working class; I got in horrible traffic and could not pick up the package, they would not hold it for me -- even though I called and asked them to do so. This is not my first problem with UPS, but it was the most frustrating. Now I have no bag and this was an awful experience. I am going to stop buying from companies who ship UPS.

The notice left on the door was not dated, did not give a time it was delivered or circle where it was left. The driver just wrote "balcony is gone". Well that was evident then why did you leave the package in plain sight and not use your common sense and represents UPS' motto of drivers will not leave packages due to safety and or to weather conditions.
When I called the 800 number for UPS the representative I got was very disrespectful and rude, stating to me that according to My Choices the driver had authorization to leave the package at my front door and UPS was not liable. When I ask to speak to a Supervisor he declined saying there was nothing else they could do. The contents of my package was a limited edition version of an item that cannot be replaced and or reordered one week before Christmas. It is my sole believe that the UPS driver took my package and never delivered it based on the fine print of the My Choices program that he stated I authorize him to leave it on the front door not my patio as I chose therefore releasing him of any responsibility. I took a screenshot on my cell phone to prove My Choices choice was to leave any packages on my patio. So today I find out that even the last scan shows it arrived in my city, it had not.
So now a lost package claim has been filed. In my situation, it's not as easy as requesting the shipper to resend the package. These medications are regulated by the DEA. I have to go get new scripts from my doctor, send them to the pharmacy, and pray to God that UPS doesn't "lose" them again. I have to pay my co-pays again and pay for UPS's expedited shipping. After looking online, it seems like UPS employees like to steal prescription meds from customers all the time. Watching them steal packages on undercover videos is sickening to me. What's worse, I contacted UPS and they didn't seem concerned that this was happening. Their suggestion was to enroll in their "UPS My Choice" service (which is free) to tell them how to properly deliver a package. The guy put me on hold while he checked details and come back to me and said that I had my parcel and it was signed. I politely asked him to check the address and name and then it finally sunk in to him that the rookie delivery driver did NOT read the label and despite the street name and post code of the delivered address being different to mine, he still delivered my parcel to the wrong place and boom.
I'm 275 out of pocket and two days have passed since UPS said they will try and recover my parcel and get back to me with a solution. I urge anyone who is sending anything of value to AVOID UPS AT ALL COSTS. Complete disregard for its customers and by the looks of thing are employing delivery drivers that can not read, let alone find a correct address on a package. I am so angry that now I'm out 275 and will have to fork out more money to replace them as it is so close to Christmas and not only that, I am not exactly well off. I won't be ordering them online again for fear of getting UPS as a courier. Truly am shocked at how they operate and treat customers, appalling.

The UPS tracking system and the operator that I spoke to at about 9:50 a.m. on Dec 12th informed me that the package was delivered on 12/10/2014 at 9:56 A.M. to ** (a huge apartment building). I know this because I went there to attempt to retrieve my package. I contacted the apartment complex management who informed me that if there is no apartment number on a package, the UPS delivery people just leave it on the floor in the entry hallway of the apartment complex.? Is that the standard practice for treating customer packages a company of this size? My confidence was beginning to lower.
After dealing with Darlene I became very frustrated. I phoned UPS again at about 11:00 a.m. to verify what address they thought the package went to and to talk to someone in management about this situation. I provided the tracking number and went through the whole lets figure out how to quiet this stupid customer down and get him off the line ordeal. When I demanded some service, I was transferred to investigations, at which time I provided all the information again. This time they said that they would open a claim There was no proper description of what that actually meant, but there did seem to be a sense of urgency to get me off the line.
I waited until after 4 pm to call UPS again because I have had bad encounters with the Minot UPS center shutting down on Friday with no accountability and no way to contact anyone in the company until Monday and I wanted to head it off prior to them not answering the phones until Monday. This is when I was informed that the package was delivered to the customer (not sure who that is) and was not the person who lived at ** (a huge apartment building) where the package was accepted today? so the case had been closed?? After getting very frustrated, I demanded to be put through to the investigations department, at which time I was put on hold for about 9 minutes as the clerk tried to find the number.
An investigation clerk that seemed somewhat intelligent then proceed to run me through the whole tracking number and "this is what we show, are you sure?" before I could explain the situation to her. She then concedes and apologizes profusely and informs me that she will open another investigation that could take up to 6 8 days. I explained that Minot center shuts down in a few minutes and I will be stuck up the proverbial creek unless she contacts them to figure out where my package is. Then she lost her credibility and began to insist that she would start another investigation immediately; completely overlooking the fact that someone needed to contact Minot to verify whether the driver found the item or not. I then asked her to do specifically that, to which she consistently repeated that she would open another investigation (seems like her skills were exhausted so she had to repeat that over and over to me until I got off the phone frustrated).
Then I called Minot center in hopes that the driver may have found my package after being told by Darlene to go and look for it. Finally reached someone who could at least appreciate my urgency to get the package before the office closed for the weekend. He even went so far as to take my phone number and promise me that he would do a thorough search and get back to me. Understandably, he could promise me that he would find the package but I at least got the feeling that he wasn't blowing me off as a stupid needy customer (how I felt as I dealt with Darlene) or that I was asking questions that were beyond the customer service skill level of the customer service representatives that I had to deal with throughout the day.
The reason I am so disappointed with this process is because this is the second time I've had to run around town looking for my package. I must say that this company's claim process is very customer-unfriendly (they demand receipts, etc.). How do I know you might ask? UPS has lost my package before and sent me a ridiculous letter that looked like a sixth-grader with no customer service experience put it together (see below):
"Dear Customer: We regret that your shipment with UPS was lost or damaged. In order to expedite the processing of a claim, please promptly submit the required information listed below. Please note that if you have already submitted the required information, you may disregard this notice. If necessary, UPS will contact you for any additional information."
"Documents required to support a claim: 1. Request for Claim Payment Form: Enter the lesser of the actual cost, replacement cost if the merchandise can be replaced, or repair cost if the merchandise can be repaired, and transportation charges. 2. Merchandise Value: Provide a copy of the original invoice. If the original invoice is not available, you must provide other proof, certified in writing, sufficient to identify the package contents and to substantiate the lesser of the actual cost, replacement cost or repair cost of the merchandise." -Is the burden now upon me the consumer to prove to you that the merchandise you lost was valuable to me??? "3. Shipping Record: Provide a copy of the shipping record for the package. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. We strive to provide quality service." -REALLY??? and look forward to serving you in the future I should think not.
"If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call 1-800-PICK-UPS. Please refer to your shipper number and claim number. If the required documents are not timely received by UPS, your claim may be denied." -Thanks for nothing UPS.

More than 3 times UPS was to deliver a package and the address gets changed. They blame it on the shipper but when I checked it was correct. Then I have seen where another shipping label was placed over the correct one. They are just horrible. And there is no solution or Customer service. They give you the runaround. I get packages often and there is one driver that I can count on but if he does not get my package it always gets lost in the shuffle. It just seems like the company does not care because they are going to make their money anyway. I just end up going to pick it up from office sometimes but the wait can be very long. And I track my packages so I can be home not to go through that.

We had a delivery coming from a company to be delivered on Friday and required a signature. We were home all day, did not receive the delivery, nor notification that they had tried to deliver, and yet the tracking number showed that it had been delivered. I called UPS customer service and was told that it was left at the address and they repeated my address.... told her that I was here all day and that it was not delivered. They gave me the name of the person that signed for it. I did not know who that was. They then said that it was left at the leasing office, which by the way, is a different address altogether. I told them that I wanted the driver to come and deliver it to me and was told that I would have to pick it up myself but that they would address this with the driver. I explained that I had another shipment that was to be delivered Monday and my expectation was that it would be delivered to our apartment.
We left our door open and waited for the delivery, which also was to be signed for. Around 2:35pm my husband suggested I check the tracking number and see what was going on. I did and it showed as delivered at 2:30pm. I immediately called UPS customer service and was told that it was delivered and signed by a person that I did not know the name of nor was there a notification left at our door. The rep explained that the policy is to attempt delivery and leave a note on the door if no one available. That didn't happen. She spoke with someone, don't know who, and was told that they left the package at the "leasing office" of our complex, totally different address than ours, even though the delivery address was listed as ours, which would be untruthful. I explained that my expectation would be that the driver come and pick up the package and deliver to us that I wanted to sign for it myself and have it delivered, that we were home all day waiting for the package. She said that the driver would not do that and that she would call our leasing office and see if someone would deliver it to us. I told her that that is not their job and that UPS should be delivering to us not the office staff of the complex I live in.
I explained that I would not be going to pick up the package as it was to be delivered to our apartment and that I would contact the seller and let them know that we did not sign for the package and did not receive it. She said that she would address this with the driver and speak with his/her supervisor and would call me back. She did not call back. I contacted the seller and let them know that we did not receive the package and that UPS is showing that it was signed for by someone we do not know and that UPS will have to be responsible for paying for the item.

This is really a sadly ran company. My issue could have been resolved in a timely manner with a simple phone call or email, hell even a text. The first day the package was supposed to be delivered the online site said they weren't able to deliver due to the street NUMBER being incorrect. I called and spoke with a customer service representative and explained that the address was certainly not wrong. She supposedly updated the system. The delivery was scheduled for the next day... At 6:50pm they then posted that now the street NAME was incorrect... Again, I called and verified that this was not true and the address was correct. I was informed that because at this point it was Friday they will not deliver or attempt to deliver and package on the weekend unless it was paid for to be delivered... So another two days without delivering a package to the correct address.
Monday comes around and we are expecting the package... We have now told them several times the address is correct... Packages have been delivered to the same address before and we were supposed to get it today. AGAIN, they did not deliver and this time there was no reason behind not delivering the package, until I called. Of course I am furious. "Well ma'am we were not able to find the house. We need more information before delivering the package." Let me point out they didn't update the website until 6:45... Immediately I started an online chat with UPS and my first question was "I want to pick up my package from the customer care center, what time do they close?" They asked other questions not pertaining to question but about my package.
Finally at 7:10 she answers my question. I tell her we will just pick up the package... she comes back and says, "You would have had to put the request 10 minutes ago to be able to pick up the package tonight. There is a strict deadline of 7 pm to put in the requests to pick up for the same day." Are you kidding me??? I've been talking to you for twenty minutes at this point and you goof off and make me miss the cut off?! At this point I am beyond furious. The representative asked me if I would like to pick up the package tomorrow...
I said, "well shouldn't it just be delivered tomorrow now?" She then explained to me that the package would NOT be delivered tomorrow because we didn't update the system in time with the CORRECT NEVER CHANGED ADDRESS. Ugh. Needless to day I will NEVER, ever use this company again to deliver any packages. Let's just hope and pray that when we pick up the package tonight that they have it and it's in good condition. To start with, this is the 4th time this year that this exact situation has happened to me and it gets to the point where I ask if there is any way the company I am ordering from can use any other service besides UPS. I would pay extra for USPS or Fedex. I was waiting for multiple packages to come in from UPS today, all of which were "attempted" on Friday. I waited at home for the entire day today so it was not missed again. The original update from Friday said 'business or resident name was incorrect.' Not likely but ok, around 5 pm I call up the customer service line to verify that all of my information was correct. After 20 minutes I had everything verified and like I thought, all of the information was correct.
7:30 pm I get one package, which the driver showed up in a Penske truck and didn't knock or ring the bell. He completely ignored me and left it at the door and basically ran back to the truck... at 7:39 pm the other two were updated as my apartment number was incorrect. Really... because the same address was used on the package that was literally just delivered. So I called UPS, held for 3 minutes only to get hung up on. Then I call again and they verify my information for the second time. They can't do anything tonight because my local center closed at 8 pm.
I am expecting a call in the morning and most likely it will be the same thing I always have to go through, I will end up driving a half hour out of the way to pick up a package that the driver was too lazy to deliver. I am furious with them. I got to the point that I started just requesting pick ups, however this time I decided why not have them do their job and just deliver it to my house. I ordered a transmission for my vehicle on Wednesday 11/26/14 and was surprised and delighted that it could be delivered on Friday 11/28/14 by UPS. The delivery was not made on Friday, or Monday, or Tuesday. Meanwhile my vehicle is in the shop so I'm paying for a rental car plus storage in the mechanic's garage. I called the shipper and he verifies that the package was shipped on Wednesday and supplies me with the tracking number. The UPS website tells me that it should be delivered today (12/3) but also shows other interesting information. It shows that they tried to deliver on 11/28/14 but the business was closed which it wasn't. They also say that the package will be delivered on the next business day but they did not try to deliver. It also shows that the sender requested that the package be held but also was not true. When I try to press the matter, I get the run around. They tell me that the package is damaged and that the package is lost and will not be delivered today. I'm not sure what to believe but meanwhile I'm out hundreds of dollars in mechanics fees and rental cars plus hours of my time trying to sort out their mess.

I had the worst delivery experience with UPS. Very rude and unprofessional customer care staff. I ordered a TV from amazon and spent all day in my front and back yard waiting for the delivery. When I felt it took too long I tracked my shipment online and found that they attempted to deliver it. I went to my door to check if they left any notice of the visit but found none. I called the customer care number and the staff was so unprofessional and so unhelpful insisting that I wasn't there to receive the tv and that they left me a notice which didn't happen. After many calls I talked to a supervisor who promised they'll send it back, and after waiting for 3 hours I called again the customer care only to tell me they tried again and I didn't answer! This time I was sitting all the time in my front yard by the door and no one came or left a notice. When I told them I want to complain they transferred me to a very rude lady called Samantha who was talking aggressively to me on the phone and when just told her to come down she told me "I'm calm. I'm not crazy! "
The other package I ordered from amazon was a car cover and this one was said to be delivered to me even though I didn't receive anything. I then called amazon customer care and informed them that I no longer need the 2 orders because of the bad service and treatment of UPS as I won't pay for things I didn't receive and for this bad service, and that UPS is the reason they'll lose business if they keep dealing with such a bad shipping company.

I had UPS package and ship a package to my sister on the east coast. Due to a news report stating it was not a good idea to have packages left, she contacted them and stated she would pick it up at a local UPS office. She had constant run around, the office didn't open until 10 am and was not told they would only hold the package for 3 days. With the Thanksgiving holiday and the fact that she is an RN working long shifts, she was unable to pick it up until today. She found out it had been returned to myself. When she tried to confirm it by calling their 800 number, they could not locate the tracking number she gave. After some time and run around, they did find it and told her it had, indeed, been sent back. I called the local UPS office and was informed I would need to come into their facility to pick up the package when it arrived and spend another $70 shipping for a 7 pound package. Needless to say, I will pick it up but will never use UPS again!!!!! This is just ludicrous. This company needs to be shut down!!!!!

I ordered a desk on the 26th of last month which was Wednesday. It was listed as "Out for Delivery" on the 1st, the following Monday. I wait all day, even see the truck pause outside of my house briefly around 2 pm before it moved on. I thought nothing of it. Sometimes they run two trucks through the area. It was after this I took apart my computer, cleared my temporary desk and moved everything out so I would have room to assemble it. Then 4 pm rolls around, 5, 6. A little after 7, I get a notice that it was left at the facility. So I call. They say that it was left behind and it will be out for delivery tomorrow. My UPS Choice says the window is between 10:15 am and 2:15 pm. I finish out my night and go to bed.
Wake up in the morning, the status has not been updated, so I call again. I get a supervisor who contacts the distribution facility and gets back to me, telling me that it is on the truck for delivery. I hang up, happy that I won't waste 2 days and have my house a mess for much longer. Imagine my surprise when I get another notice of it being left at the facility! We call, tell them we are going to pick up, so they say the facility will call in an hour. Wait an hour, call the main customer service line, get told the facility tried to call and couldn't get a hold of us. Mind you, I live with my phone on my hip and it did not ring once. Now they are saying it is not available for pickup and scheduled for re-delivery tomorrow.
That is not acceptable, so we are waiting to talk to a supervisor again to try to get this resolved. So far, I count 2 bare-faced lies from their distribution facility. I should not be surprised by this I suppose, given that we more often have to pick up packages from the distribution center than we get delivered to our door. It is so frequent, I have the address saved for quick reference on my GPS.

This is the second time this month that I was expecting a package to be delivered, when I get a email stating my address was wrong and they couldn't deliver it! There was nothing wrong with my address. I've had it for the last 30 years. Seems the driver was to lazy to deliver that day. Call to complain, they asked me if my house was hard to find! Are you kidding me! This would never happen if it were FEDEX!

I do not feel secure about having my packages left outside my door, so set aside time to accept a package in the 4-hour window provided to me. When that time came and went, I checked my UPS account online and the driver lied and said "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt", when no attempt was made. My curtains were drawn open and the door was ajar, and no delivery person approached my door. Customer service said the words "I'm sorry", but continued to suggest that the driver made an attempt to deliver, not hearing my complaint regarding his non-delivery. So angry!!!

I had a package delivered while I was away. The driver literally threw my package onto the end of my 1/2 mile long driveway. It is a shared drive and we are the last ones on it. I called to complain and they told me they would call me back by end of day and that I should register under my choice to say where I want the packages delivered. It is like hide and seek trying to find the packages they deliver while Fed Ex puts it on my covered front porch. So what I need to create an account and put my preferences on for what I think is obvious. Ok I get right on to do that go through the whole process and it says my address is commercial. Which is ridiculous if anything I am rural!
So I get on chat so I don't have to call again and they tell me to call. I call again and am asked for my email address. I ask why and it is because they will get back to me in 4 days after they investigate whether my address is residential or commercial. When it is deemed residential I can get back on and register all over again for where packages should be delivered....lucky me. Because I have nothing better to do with my life than tell those idiots where to deliver packages that is obvious to everyone else. Even better if they deem it commercial I can always dispute it. What a ridiculous waste of time.

We had a parcel that was to be delivered to our home on 28 Nov. Was per their tracking, on the truck for delivery. Our regular brown uniformed driver never comes past our house at 5PM, and knows the streets and addresses. We live in a residential neighborhood. House and mailbox is well lit, marked, etc. No attempts to deliver ever occurred on that day. The scab (temp) driver drove past our house as I was on the porch watching for them up to 9:30PM. They sped past our house, stopped down the street, in a Penske truck and then sped away. Then the status was falsified “incorrect street number, attempt to deliver, signature required (not), etc.” Then, was suppose to be re-delivered on Mon 1 Dec.
Now, no status, nothing. Suspect the scab driver threw the parcel out or stole it. Contacting UPS Reps only gets what I can read off the internet. My brother drove 50 miles one way to be at our house Monday since UPS told us Friday it was out for delivery. We are out of town for 2 days. Now, we have no idea where the parcel is. UPS doesn't know what they are doing, so I am contacting the CC company and disputing the charge as nothing was ever delivered. The shipper is pissed and is switching to FedEx, as are we. Talk about lying, misinformation, temp drivers and temp reps that don't care or do their job... Never again... Adios UPS.

Recently I shipped a package from FL to PA. I was quoted a shipping charge (from UPS website/my account) of $36.80. After dropping the box off and the shipment was made (on time) I was charged $54.01 total. Then I received an email from UPS stating that I would be billed an extra $22.01 for fuel surcharges. I contacted UPS service 3 times to correct the situation - finally got an explanation. The dimensions and weight which I measured and weighed (41x15x13 - 36lbs) and were entered into the UPS online labeling system, were re-entered by the UPS driver(s) as 43x18x18, 49 lbs & 84lbs (weight changed in transition) resulting in the Fuel Charge of $22.01 which was credited back to my account. The quote of $36.80 was for the weight of the item only.
The additional charge $17.21 ($54.01) is for space in the truck. I asked for a credit for the entire shipment for my time, shipping charge misrepresentation and inconvenience but was denied. The UPS rep, who was outstanding, explained that the separate shipping charges ($36.80 & $17.21) were a normal industry standard. UPS does not seem to be upfront about how they charge for shipping. I will not use them again and would suggest finding alternatives (if you can). The shipping industry probably should be investigated about their billing practices.

My neighbor just brought over my UPS package - soggy, wet and ruined. His house has a high wall, and the driver had tossed it over the wall in the rain, where it lay until discovered. My house has a large, dry porch, with the house number clearly displayed. The lazy UPS driver had obviously sat in his truck and thrown my delivered into my neighbor's yard. The package was correctly addressed, so there was no excuse for this. I shall never use UPS if I have a choice.

Yesterday November, 28, 2014 I was expecting two UPS deliveries from vendors. I made sure the UPS driver knows that we are open for business and stayed in the office. The two packages were very important. I kept tracking the packages and when I saw the UPS truck across the street I was hopeful that the packages will be delivered soon since the driver must see that our business is open (I left all lights on and the front door). I was wrong because he never came to our side of the street. A couple hours later the status of one of the shipments changed from "out for delivery" to "delivery attempted, business was closed" while the other shipment was still "out for delivery". I called UPS and after going through their hideous automated phone system I finally arrived at an agent who tried to explain to me that my business was closed so the driver brought the package back to UPS central distribution center.
Took some time to explain the agent that I am the business owner and that I was in the office all day and nobody showed up. Agent told me that my option was to pick up the package at the UPS Center. I asked the agent to add the other shipment that I am expecting to the pickup request as well which she did. I was told that UPS will call within the hour to tell me when and where to pickup the two packages. UPS never called within the hour so I called them again. Finally someone called and told me where to pickup the package. The location was 30 minutes away so I left immediately since I only had about an hour window before they closed. Once I arrived at the location they did not have the two shipments. They could not tell me if they were still on a truck or somewhere else and I was asked to call again Monday morning. I asked what the difference will be on Monday morning compared to Friday night and did not get any answers.
I drove home and called UPS support when I got home. I tried to explain the situation but the person started questioning me about how I would be able to go to a service center at 7:30pm when they close at 6pm and what the condense of the package was. Any of the agents questions were totally unrelated to the actual issue and did not help me as the consumer. I know this is a very busy time for them but DHL and Fedex delivered today on time so why couldn't UPS and on top of that make it so difficult? I tried to email UPS with a complained directly but they have no method of doing so other than a maximum of 500 word email that you can send to support. Within the last two months this is not the first time I had issues with UPS. I signed up with FedEx last night and will not use UPS anymore.

Today, the UPS site states that tracking numbers are invalid numbers today. What is wrong with UPS? Lately, I try to make sure that NOTHING is delivered or sent via UPS. Unfortunately some businesses claim to have contracts with UPS that prevent them from using a more reliable delivery company (or so the company says). Thereupon, I look for another company that does NOT use UPS.
The problem started with the Harrisburg hub giving this error message: "Package routed to wrong local post office. Package will be transferred to correct post office for deliver ORWIGSBURG, PA, United States. Package out for local post office delivery" (UPS, other delivery companies and Post Office often work together to deliver packages lately). This "po" message was of course incorrect. Harriburgh was the correct hub but the package was sent to Orwigsburg, PA instead and delivered to someone there (I don't know where this town is, I've never heard of them, and don't know why the delivery man could not read properly). The business I made the purchase from had to resend the package. The 1st package was never found, according to UPS.
The next FOUR packages that were to be delivered within 2 days had this error message on the UPS site: "A LATE UPS TRAILER ARRIVAL HAS CAUSED DELAY. WE'RE ADJUSTING PLANS TO YOUR PACKAGE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. DELIVERY WILL BE RESCHEDULED." All of the boxes were opened when I finally received them. There was no attempt to cover what they did. Luckily, the thieves were not interested in the items in my opened boxes.
A 5th package (cheesecake) was allegedly delivered multiple times. The thieves obviously liked the cheesecake. I did speak to the company I ordered from and begged them to use a service that was NOT UPS. They claimed they could not do that because they had a contract with UPS. I fought the transaction and got my money back. The cheesecake company was out of the money for the cheesecakes, my purchase of 1 cheesecake and the postage it cost them (I was refunded my very expensive postage). As I said, I did call them about UPS' dishonesty and they choose not to believe me. I am never buying anything from the cheesecake company again, nor will I deal with any company who will not give me the option of a delivery service other than UPS.

UPS was supposed to deliver a certified check / envelope from my bank to a car dealership to pay for my new car. They tried to deliver the package at 5:09 am on Friday 11/28/14 - but since the business was closed, they said they could not deliver it until Monday. It seems unreasonable for them to think that anyone / business would be open at 5 am. They should have offered re-delivery during normal or customary business hours. When offered to have a Federal Express driver pick up the package from their delivery center, they refused. They offered no assurance that the same thing wouldn't happen again. The consequences are that they have breached their obligation to use commercially reasonable judgement or practice.

We order something from Amazon and ship to where we got new jobs, but we are not over there at that time. Based on suggestion from Amazon (because they use UPS store), I tried to use the UPS service to delay the shipment. But they keep repeating exactly the same thing without explaining why we cannot register their "MY choice" and all other services. Then what they did was, they just left our expensive items in front our new place without requiring any signature. Are you kidding me? This is how UPS did their Job. Never work with them anymore!!!
I just move from one town to another and complain them one weeks ago because they left our stuff in front of my new apt door without contacting with us and didn't let us use "my choice". Then UPS is "AMAZING"!!! Then they did it again, and this time, the box is LOST (ordered from Nordstrom). But UPS customer service just said “I am sorry for your inconvenience”, then they disconnected. I didn't choose UPS by myself (If I can choose, never use them) but the store choose it. Now how can I feel better to lose my item. (Nordstrom didn't have a replacement of it.)

Don't understand why UPS gives us customers commitment times and estimated times when they don't keep up with it, especially when we pay extra (Next Day Air). I was giving an estimated time of 9:45 am-1:45 pm for delivery today on a UPS My Choice email and a commit time of 3 pm on a track notification email. It's 6:30 pm and I just received my package. Isn't this a crime to falsify information to a customer? My package even states "Urgent" in big words but I guess that doesn't mean anything to them. I will never use these guys again, but for those that will continue to use UPS, you might want to consider paying for ground service, you might get it sooner than Next Day Air.

When I checked at 5.10 PM, I was surprised by bold statement of unscrupulous driver claiming that he attempted to deliver and no one was available to pick up. Hope the driver does not get sick and wait for his younger cousin to slap him with equally fake notice to cover up his lethargy.

A package from my boss was shipped to me. The package was shipped to be left at the door if no answer. Since I'm on the road daily driving out of state I never know what time I will arrive home. The package came and a door tag left stating it must be signed for. Not so! The UPS driver here in my area is a real loser. His attitude is so unprofessional! He speeds throughout the neighborhood a 25 mph zone. Talks on his cell phone which is illegal in this state. He will only deliver once a day in the neighborhood thus if you are not home to receive your package tough luck! He will not leave a package ss even though none have ever been taken in the neighborhood. FEDEX delivers two to three times a day. They make sure you receive your packages in a friendly matter.
I will no longer use UPS for any reason! If I make a purchase online and the retailer won't ship USPS or FEDEX I won't place the order. And will find a retailer who will ship by my preference. I have also sent a blanket email throughout my company to stop any use of UPS. I rather give the business to the U.S. postal system or to Fedex. Both seem to get the job done!
