On July 3, 2015 I was to receive a shipment from PSSL of 2 speakers that I purchased online. I waited all day for the shipment and the driver never rang my doorbell and just left the pickup notice. I had to pickup myself and UPS did nothing to help the situation. Upon bring my speakers home I noticed the speaker grills were damaged in shipping. Again I had to wait for UPS. I saw the truck outside and waited for the driver personally. The driver was ready to leave until I asked him if he had a pickup. Then he told me he would have never came to my apartment because UPS failed to indicated the apartment number which I saw written in at the top of the return slip. The driver came upstairs and took the packages, which he would not have done if I didn't step in.

Alright, don't get me wrong. UPS is awesome because they take care of packages and they bring my items the day Amazon says they will arrive, and they do arrive. But the thing I hate about UPS is that they don't bring me the packages in the timely manner that I like, instead I have to wait for the whole afternoon in order for my items to get home. I get my items in the evening, this is not a timely manner. A timely manner is when USPS leaves my packages at the PO box before 11:00 am. Overall, I just think that if Amazon sellers gave me the option for shipping carriers, I would either choose USPS or DHL and I would definitely avoid UPS because of the lack of timely manners.

On Saturday, June 20th, around 10:30 AM, I stopped by your store on Washington Street in Wellesley to inquire the status of two books we shipped on June 1st. My son went into your store with two books on June 1st and purchased an envelope for $4.18 (from your store) which he used to ship the books to Amazon. He handed a USB port to your employee to print the UPS label, which he did and then proceeded with shipping the books.
For the last few weeks, I've been getting emails from Amazon that the books never made it back to them and they had suggested to go back to the store and check if the books were never shipped out. I have also verified and conformed with my bank that the $4.18 charge from your store went through. I went to your store this morning to find out what happened and provided all the information mentioned above to your employee, Mr. **. After checking his computer, he mentioned that he was not able to find any such transaction. I showed him the above bank statement in the amount of the $4.18 and he still said that there is no such transaction in his computer.
I stepped away from the counter and tried calling Amazon to see if the books made it back or if they had any other info that your employee could use to locate my books. Mr. ** said that there is nothing he can do or help me with and I should leave the store. I mentioned that I am trying to reach Amazon but he insisted that I should leave the store. He also mentioned and I quote..."If my boss was here, he would have thrown you out by now." I mentioned to him that I am waiting for the Amazon customer service rep to look into my account but he continue to argue with me. I told him that I will not reply to his arguments and that I will not response to his aggressive behavior and that's when he called the police.
Officers Scott ** and Kathleen ** came to the store and after discussing the incident, they suggested to reach out to you rather dealing with Mr. **. For two weeks now, I've tried speaking with the owner but he declined. He emailed me and told me that he is sorry about what happened but there is nothing he can do for me, and this case is close.

Online tracking said package would be delivered Friday. On Friday it changed to: delivery Monday. The package arrived at UPS center @ 11:30 PM (arrival scan) Thursday night. It didn't get destination scan until 1:52 Pm Friday. There is no reason it could not be delivered Friday like tracking said it would. Tracking #**. Don't list it in online tracking to be delivered on Friday and then change it at the last minute to Monday. Why have online tracking if it does not give the correct information? This happens all the time and I'm tired of it. Maybe FedEx can do better.

I usually trust UPS much more than any other company but today I was greatly disappointed. I ordered desktop which costed me about $600 and it was on delivery with something else. They dropped off one of package but not my desktop! I was confused and when I checked status it said delivered. I saw him dropping off one of package on my neighbor's porch and check. Guess what? It was mine! My address and name was clear on it without error. Anyone could tell it's desktop due to box. What was he thinking? It was $600!!! Not only that I had to go pick it up myself but when I called to complain, person I talked to didn't really care! All she said was they will make sure they go to right address next time. Really? Because I'm not planning to use them much more from now on. Thank god I checked window and saw it otherwise I would be screaming over the phone to person who don't even care.

During February 2015 when there was a lot of snow, a UPS truck got stuck in our newly paved driveway. He put chains on his tires and proceeded to spin them for almost an hour. I personally went out to tell him to stop doing that: he had called for a tow truck and he should have just waited. The next day we could see that he had dug holes in the blacktop that went completely through the top layer of asphalt and into the base. We now have multiple holes in our driveway and our cars literally bump over each and every day while we try to get UPS to pay to fix it. I had to call UPS many, many times and to get an initial response - at which point a supervisor came out, took pictures and said I would hear from their insurance company - Liberty Mutual.
It has been 3 months and I have not heard anything else from them or the insurance company. None of my many phone calls have been returned. I have called their regular 800 customer service line and asked them to escalated this to their corporate offices and still no follow up. I have now started to research UPS and have read that they have done this to many people - ignore the damage they have done to your property with the knowledge that you probably will not sue. I am still planning to pursue this because I am so very angry at what they have done - both the damage to my driveway and their refusal to even call me back.

DESERVES A ZERO BUT THAT'S NOT AN OPTION. I was at home standing at the front door (actually open to let some cable workers in) when I see the UPS truck drive right by my front door without stopping. I was at home specifically to pick up the package since being notified of the time of delivery. To my amazement, I then get an email a few seconds later saying "The recipient was not available". Really, how stupid are you? We saw you drive by! When I called customer service they said I must be mistaken. And the other two people standing with me? "We stand by our drivers." I then have to PAY to have it shipped to an alternative address since I cannot be at home the following day. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I called, June 28th 2015 at 6:02 am to schedule a pickup for delivery. My call was answered by some man who could barely speak english, who told me a driver would be by 8 am and 3 pm. He told me there would be a $7 additional charge to pick up the package, which I agreed to, and that I needed to provide payment for that up front. I gave him my card number. I was told that I would fill out the payment information for the actual shipment manually when the driver arrived. I was never given a claim number, which I thought was odd at the time.
Lo and behold 3 o'clock rolls around with no driver in sight, I checked my bank account and saw I was charged over $90!!! The package, 5 lbs at most, should have been not more than $15 to ship one state over. (I live in AZ and was shipping to CA) When I called UPS to ask what the ** this was about nobody could tell me anything. In fact I wasn't even in the system! I called SEVEN TIMES and even spoke to the billing supervisor and she basically told me that they couldn't do anything and to dispute it with my bank. Never using UPS again horrible company with horrible service.

Recurring problem: I receive an email notification that a package is scheduled for delivery by UPS. I arrange to be home in order to receive the package. By the end of the day, no one has rung the bell. No notice has been left on the door. But, the online system shows that a delivery attempt was made, and the receiver was not home. This is not an isolated incident, but a routine occurrence - one that sometimes results in my packages being returned to the sender. The driver(s) are clearly falsifying their records to show that an attempt was made when it was not.
When I call customer service, the representatives insist that a delivery attempt was made. It was logged in the system, therefore it was made. When I asked if I could file a complaint, I was told that I'd have to go in person to their pick-up location to do so! I wish retailers would stop using UPS. Terrible service.

I moved my dad from Florida to a nursing home here in NJ. I packed his stuff in boxes that I bought at Home Depot the same day. I took it to the UPS Store #0288 at 3389 Sheridan Street, Hollywood, Florida. Paid $75 to ship. Items in the box were over 40 years old and meant a lot to my father, i.e. paintings that were painted by a loved one 20 years ago, wooden statues, and many pictures in frames. We were hoping to make the transition into the NH easier by decorating his room to make if feel like home.
When the box arrived, our driver was appalled with the condition of the box, as were we. It looked like someone deliberately kicked it over & over as there were numerous holes, punctures, etc. Almost everything in the box was damaged. The paintings were kicked out of their frames. All the glass was broken (packed in bubble wrap) and even one of the wooden statues was broken in half. I called UPS, put in a claim. Someone from UPS called me and did a telephone interview. I was told that my driver also put in the record the condition of the box and that the claim would be paid. 3 months later I called to find out where my check was. I was told to call the store because they denied the claim! I WILL NEVER USE UPS AGAIN! The least they could've done was tell me 3 months ago to call the store. No one ever called me back. Don't ever use them if you're shipping irreplaceable items!

An important package was scheduled to arrive by Friday at 3 pm. It had not arrived by Saturday, so I called UPS, who informed me there was a delay. I asked them to send the package to a new address because I was moving on Sunday. They would not, but they said they would hold the package until the sender approved the address change. I was ok with that solution, but UPS did not do what they said they would. They delivered it to my old address. Given that they had made a mistake, I asked that they pick up the package and deliver it to my new address or hold it at the center. They said they could not.
I was told that UPS cannot create a shipping label, so they could not pick up my package and correct their mistake. So, UPS is incapable of initiating a shipment. Ultimately, my shipper sent me a new package. UPS did not fulfill its obligation and basically stole money from the shipper. I will go out of my way to avoid using UPS in the future. Mistakes happen, but their unwillingness to correct their mistake is unacceptable.

It's hard to enumerate all the problems with this company. They aren't contactable. They say they'll respond to email within 4 hours, and never do. The telephone number gives ~5 automated options to select from, and I can find no way of navigating their automated operator to a human respondent. Dialing '0' does not work. They often do not deliver packages by the specified date. On the tracking information, I am only told, "Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery." This excuse has been given in Southern California, where the weather conditions at the reported depot were 0 in. precipitation and 13 mph winds.
Deliveries requiring signatures are reported to arrive between 6am and 8pm on weekdays. No narrower time frame is given and they do not allow you to pickup the package at the depot. I truly don't understand how this company is in business and why good brands, like Amazon, associate with this company. Along with Greyhound and Comcast, these folks are the worst I know.

I sent a package with an espresso machine, 3 gift cards to different stores/restaurants, and a custom made gift with my newborn baby girl's picture to my father last week for father's day. It was on the truck out for delivery at 6:56 am last Wednesday and all of a sudden the contents are "destroyed/missing" and the box is thrown out. UPS claims they don't know what happened and that it's my fault for not following their packaging guidelines but how can they even assume this if they've thrown out the evidence?
They won't compensate me for any of the contents and won't admit fault. Mind you, I ship things out on a daily basis with UPS (however I'm strongly considering using other carriers at the moment) so I'm a pro at packing. I've never had anything like this happen before with any carrier EVER. I couldn't believe that they had the audacity to blame me when they destroyed the box and have nothing to compare their packaging guidelines to! Today I left a note on the door, to make sure the driver calls so that I can open the door. I found out a couple of hours later that they "made a third and final attempt". Having developed positive relationships with business partners and their reliability to come through is a matter of "quality" in those outputs when closing a deal is essential. UPS has lost my business to a massive order when their freight delivery came in damaged. The claim process which started in October of 2014 is still being "escalated" to appropriate managers. It is June of 2015 now. After 66 emails and hours of phone calls, and 2 full independent claims investigations by UPS, my case has been closed 1 time, and in "escalation" for the rest. On the day that he was supposed to receive the package, he waited until the guaranteed delivery time, and when it didn't arrive, I called the customer service line. They told me that the package was currently being delivered, that it was on the truck. A few hours later, when he still hadn't received the package, I called again. The customer service representative admitted that at their depot, they had entered the wrong address. So I gave them the right address. A few more hours went by, and he still had not received the package. I called again and told them that he had to receive the package that evening, as he required his medicine.
They said the best they could do was to send it on the truck first thing the next morning. I told them my son wouldn't be able to take his medicine that evening. The next morning the package still had not arrived. I called their customer service line again, stating that it could potentially be a medical emergency if he did not receive the package that day, and they told me it would arrive shortly. I ordered my dad some shoes from Cole Haan. I wanted it to be a surprise. Something told me to order them early to make sure he gets them by Father's Day. Well I'm glad I did. The first pair of shoes were delivered to the neighbor's house and left on the porch. I called my dad around 7 pm the day of delivery to see if he got the shoes because the site said they were delivered. He said no he didn't get anything. So after looking around his area for the item, the neighbor brought them to my dad. Unfortunately my dad had to return them due to the fit of the shoe. We ordered another pair. The site said they would be delivered on 6/15 so I kept checking to see if they were delivered. Around 5 pm on 6/15, I tracked the package and the update stated no one was available and they would attempt to deliver the next day. I called my dad to ask, "What was going on?" He said "No one ever knocked or left an attempted delivery slip."
So the next day the same thing. This time on the site it says they will attempt a third time if no one is there they will send it back to the sender. Well, again no slip was left. My dad decided to go to the neighbor's house where the first pair of shoes were delivered and no slips were left there either. So my dad a 73 year old man is walking the neighborhood to find his delivery slips, which he found later the second day on the empty house down the street. So I called UPS and then they tell me I have to pay $5.00 to have it delivered to a store so my dad can pick them since the driver can't find the correct address. So let's recap. The first time you leave the package at some random address. Then the second package you attempt to deliver to an empty house twice. (My dad says you can tell the house he/she attempted to deliver to is empty.) That didn't dawn on the driver he/she was at the wrong house??
But I have to pay to have it sent to a UPS store location. I use FedEx and USPS for my shipping needs. I think Cole Haan should stop using UPS. I will report this to them as well. As a matter of fact my next purchase from them will be in a few days. I will tell them, I will not purchase a thing if they are sending my items via UPS.

Here is what UPS says: 1. "We won't give you driver's no." (fine) 2. "We won't give your no. to driver too." (wow) 3. "Even if you put a sticky label on main door with your no. even then driver won't call you." 4. "Driver can come any time and we won't tell you what time." So, essentially, you sit at main door of building waiting without washroom break so that you can meet the MOST important person of your day, the driver is who coming to do a favor to do the pick up. I went to the entrance of my building and there was the UPS sticker without a time stamp. I call UPS immediately to have them attempt to deliver my package again.. And I didn't receive it on Friday.. I called back and they said they will ensure that you receive my package today Monday June 12th. I received a phone call this morning from UPS to tell me that I will get it tomorrow and that I wouldn't have to wait so long had I gone to pick it up at the UPS location. I'm sorry, but if you wanted to leave my house with my 6 month old daughter I would have went out shopping for the item myself instead of buying it online. The customer service lady was very rude also..

I ordered a phone online and had it expedited shipping for next day delivery. My mom stayed home the entire day waiting for my UPS package. Got home after a long day/week of work hoping to get my phone, and guess what, no package. Checked online and it showed attempt delivery at 1:30pm. My mom stated that no one rang the bell at her apartment nor upstairs apartment. Contacted UPS and was on the phone several times for about 1 1/2 hour + online chat. One of the representative stated that the delivery guy try "KNOCKING ON THE DOOR". I ask why didn't he rang the "DOORBELLS". Another representative stated that it was not the driver's fault that no one answer the door, and another representative tell me to get a car service to the UPS location to pick up my package.
I told each and every one of them that "IT IS UPS RESPONSIBILITY TO DELIVER THE PACKAGE AND NO ONE WILL SIT OUTSIDE WAITING ALL DAY FOR A PACKAGE, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS 90 DEGREES OUTSIDE". Finally after the long wait another representative contact me to inform me that the driver has returned back to the building so he is unable to deliver the package, and tell my mom to wait at home all day on Monday. I ask to file a complaint and there is no such thing. I can tell that all the representative I spoke with is impatient and careless about your package. These people are just waiting to get paid.

Last year I ordered fairly expensive earrings to be delivered by UPS requiring a signature at the time of delivery. I received 3 failed attempt notices on my door, 2 of those times I was home. I had to drive 60 miles to retrieve them from the nearest UPS warehouse. Not much of a choice. They were my daughter's Christmas present.
Recently I purchased a floor cleaner, again to be delivered by UPS requiring a signature upon delivery. The exact same thing happened. After the second "attempt to deliver notice" I called the company and was assured that the driver would be made aware of the issue and he would deliver it this evening after 6 PM. I walked outside at 8 PM to find yet another "attempt to deliver" notice on my door. I called again and received the same lip service. I've concluded that the only satisfactory option is to boycott any company that chooses to use UPS as their delivery source. I'm allowing this item to be returned with a detailed explanation why.

UPS tried to deliver the package during the day when no one is home. When I called to arrange to have the package left at a UPS authorized pick up location (that I had just picked up another package from the same sender the day before), was told that they could not re-route the package without charging me a fee. After 20 minutes on the phone with an employee who spent more time explaining the variety of their delivery options and how difficult it was to get the packages to everyone, I finally gave up and asked to have it delivered to the main depot for me to pick up which is 26 km out of my way. Was told that their hours for pick up are 0730-0900 and 1630-1800. WOW......talk about catering to the customer eh? The sender paid to have it delivered to me and now I have to pay my own gas out of my way on UPS' 3 hour time window to pick it up. I cringe any time a sender uses UPS and would never use them to send a package.

A friend from Minneapolis, MN sent me a box via UPS before Christmas. She called to confirm I received it. I told her "No, I had not". She told me it was delivered. I told her I did not get it. She called where she sent it from for more information. I contacted my local office. They told me it was delivered. I told her "No, it was not". She asked if I wanted it investigated. I told her, "Yes I did". She said she would talk to the driver. The next day she called me back and said that the driver said he delivered it to some woman. I told her it was not me and to ask the driver where was this woman located and what did the house look like. She said she would look into it further.
A few days pass, a guy comes up to my house, **. He had my package. He said he worked at the bait shop a few miles away. He told me how he came into having my package: ** at Montana Horses received the package from UPS. She did not know who I was and asked ** to find me so I could have it. He found me. He went on to say that he gets a lot of packages to complete the delivery. The consequences: my friend paid for that package to be delivered to my house - she did not get what she paid for. She sent very sentimental items to me, which could have been lost. She had a lot of extra mental stress added to her life over a package. I was very upset because UPS lying about its delivery quote to me, when in fact it was delivered to someone 7 miles away. I am lucky that where I live there are still honest people! But there are not honest people at UPS.
STAY AWAY FROM USING UPS. FedEx delivered a package recently. I asked how they find me. He stated that they get maps from the county for rural areas. A lost UPS driver came up by my house, asking if I knew where a few people lived. I told him I did not. I asked how they find people. He said GPS. This is the difference. FEDEX knows how to get packages delivered nationwide and worldwide. UPS pretends to deliver nationwide. But then again, it is associated with the United States Postal Service - I think you can draw your own conclusions. Actions speak louder than words, and you pay for what you get. Footnote: My friend never heard from the customer service rep in the Minneapolis office location. DO NOT USE UPS! I KNOW I NEVER WILL. I ALSO NOW ADVISE PEOPLE SENDING ME THINGS TO USE FEDEX!!!

I had ordered an exhaust system kit from a company in NJ. Once I received the tracking number, I checked it and it said my package should be here on Monday. I thought, 'Yay! I'm going to get to fix my car!' Nope... Monday came, I waited and checked the tracking number, it stated that it was 'Out For Delivery', but never came. Ok? Tuesday... the same thing. I waited, checked the tracking number and again it said, 'Out For Delivery', and again, nothing. Wednesday... I called them up to see what's going on, and they said their computers say that it was scanned in, but never out for delivery (well isn't THAT convenient). They asked what my package contained and I told them. Lo and behold, the lady said my muffler was right outside her door. She said they can ship it out right away. I told her don't bother, I'll come get it (if it takes them 3 days to ship a package 10 mins away, then yeah... I'll come get it myself).
I get there and there's my muffler... JUST my muffler, with the labels slapped on. The resonator and the kit that came with it were GONE! I contacted the shipper and they informed me that they shipped everything together in a box... Which means, someone opened my box, stole my parts and left the muffler (which is why there were no labels). Now it's been a week later, I filed a claim, been given the run around and still have no answer! They're a but of lazy thieves! It had to have been in the box when delivered to the Addison UPS, otherwise it couldn't have been scanned in. I had to ship several boxes from NJ to Phoenix Arizona. I thought because of the distance, I should purchase specifically UPS boxes from the UPS store, at $5 a box! I did not purchase quite enough boxes, and ended up using a couple no-name file boxes and a larger box from Uncle Bob's Storage. How is it that the UPS boxes delivered looked and did the worst after delivery?! The boxes arrive like beach balls, having no structural integrity remaining, and some had rips in the cardboard. Luckily nothing fell out of the boxes, but a few things were broken inside, despite having things wrapped well and the boxes were stuffed with extra padding.
What is the purpose of purchasing boxes from UPS if those are the worst quality shipping boxes you can buy?! I will never use those boxes again. I would rather use the cheaper file-boxes that have sturdiness and strength. And how the heck does UPS treat boxes during shipment?! How is it possible to have boxes arrive in such condition!

I was to receive a package containing an electronic device ($250 value) on June 2. Instead on that date I received an email first from Amazon and then from UPS stating that UPS had sent my package to the wrong processing facility and it would be delayed by one day. I was disappointed but waited patiently. On June 3rd I went in the garage, got in my car, opened the garage door and drove out. Immediately I felt a bump and heard a crunch. I stopped and got out of the car to find I'd driven over my package. I was furious that an adult, whose job it was to specialize in "safe" package delivery, would leave a package 2" high and 12" wide on the ground directly in front of the garage when had they set it 4" to the right it would have been on the sidewalk and therefore safe.
When I called to complain and find out when they would be replacing my device, I was told that leaving it in front of the garage was considered a safe place. I was further told that if I didn't want it placed in front of the garage that I should have called UPS and told them not to put it there. Luckily Amazon stepped up and agreed to replace it, but it will be replaced with a refurbished device and it counts as my "1 free replacement". It is not Amazon's responsibility to replace a poorly delivered package, but they want to have good customer satisfaction. I will be writing to the head office of UPS because I did not even get to use my brand new device and feel that I should not be given a refurbished one when it was not my fault that the package was run over. The photos below show where the package was left and its condition after I pulled out of the garage.

Despite delay due to their own "missorting" UPS does not give any extra priority to the package. From their point of view - "it's not their problem". Call center people speak TERRIBLE English (outsourced to Tijuana I think - not sure) and will simply say "Amigo - we understand but sorry - cant do anything".
Moreover, the story kept changing and was confusing. The online website said my shipment had landed in London. Yet supervisor told me it was still in the US. What a mess. Ok. To add some validity to this post, let me preface by saying that I have a lot of packages delivered by UPS. In 2013 I had more than 80 packages delivered and last year more than 50. Anyways I ordered some sunglasses from an online store and had them shipped to my house. I usually follow packages via the tracking number as well as receive SMS notifications when packages arrive. Anyways, I was notified while I was at work that my package was delivered. Normally the driver leaves the package right in front of my front door which seems insecure given that I have a corner on my porch that they could put it behind. In any case, when I arrived home that evening the package was not there.
In the past, on several occasions, UPS has incorrectly delivered my packages to neighbors. Assuming that's what happened I waited until the next day when I could ask my neighbors if they had received my package (normally a neighbor would just walk it over to me) - off topic: I've also received my neighbor's packages. None of my neighbors had my package, but they did say that external crews had been working on the street that day (landscapers, trash pickup, etc). So I call the seller of my package and notify them that I never received my package. After a back and forth referencing that UPS claimed it had been delivered, the seller opened a claim with UPS.
Apparently claims can take a 6-8 business days so I waited. I got a call from a UPS person to whom I explained what happened and they were very understanding. The next step was to have the driver do a follow up. So I waited a couple days and didn't hear anything, then I had to go out of town on business for about a half a week. While I was gone the UPS driver visited my house several times leaving follow-up slips (thanks for letting everyone know I was out of town by the way). So I get back on Monday and I'm about to call the UPS local office Tuesday when I get an email saying that the claim has been resolved and closed. I review the claim and it said that '**' (my name) has acknowledged receipt of the package.
Clearly I was upset because not only was this false information, but I had not yet talked to the driver to even provide any information. The same day, the seller contacts me with a follow up because they were also notified by UPS that I claim to have received the package. So I call the local office trying to figure out how in the world this could have happened without someone even talking to me. All I get from the lady on the other end is that I should have the seller re-open the claim. That's it.
It is one thing to make mistakes and deliver packages to neighbors, it is another thing to lose packages from time to time. It is yet another thing to provide poor customer service, but it is something altogether worse to falsify information saying that I received something I haven't. I've asked the seller to reopen the claim and I'm reaching deeper to try and find someone who can reconcile when it became OK for UPS to blatantly lie about talking, in person, to someone who was currently 3000 miles away.

I stayed home literally all day Thursday, which is one of only three days I have off in a two week span (therefore I had PLENTY I would have rather been doing than confined to my house) and it never came. Friday I rechecked the tracking, idiotically, it was still saying it would arrive Thursday. Saturday it finally said I missed the arrival of my package because it just so happened to come Friday at 5 PM, but by then I was at work.
I called customer service to see when another delivery would be attempted because my next days off weren't until that following weekend, the rep told me Monday. I told him I would not be there Monday if it was coming at 5 PM again because I work evenings, he told me then a final attempt would be made Tuesday then it would be shipped back. I explained to the rep that I was probably not going to be there Tuesday either if there was no way the driver could deliver it earlier than 5 and he told me the only other option would be to pick it up. This is a 100lb package, I drive a two door car with barely any trunk, therefore that wasn't really an option to me.
He then told me I could sign to get the package left on the porch, which is what I guess I'll have to do but it seems like a company who is literally all about logistics could be able to provide some better solutions that pick your package up yourself (which you PAY to get delivered to you) or have it left unattended for hours. And this isn't even the beginning of my hate-hate relationship with UPS. I've had packages stolen because they've left them in plain sight (in a bad neighborhood), literally delivered to the wrong address (same street number but totally different street name), left in the rain (when there was a covered patio they could have been left at), and the list goes on. I'm almost at the point where I am not even going to buy anything online if I find out it is shipped via UPS.

I believe just ringing the bell, without even waiting for someone to answer, should be a minimal courtesy that UPS should offer to their customers or their customers' customers. The longer a package is out there, the better chance it can get stolen, or ruined by the weather -- rain and heat.

Every once in a while, UPS service is fine and they do what they purport to do. Other times, particularly if you have to call and work with customer service, they are obtuse, inconsistent, and utterly unhelpful. I recently had to reschedule a delivery from Amazon. I tried to do so via My UPS online, but was unable to. UPS said that Amazon had not provided some needed information and that if I wanted to reschedule a delivery, I should do so by calling them. (To be fair, the rep at Amazon who was listening to that particular conversation wasn't able to address that issue.)
After I missed the first delivery attempt (Thursday night) I called them the next morning, rescheduled the delivery for Monday, and paid their fee. The rep did not bother to tell me that the package was already on the truck and it would still be attempted for delivery that day anyway (so there was no point in trying to reschedule). I was out of town and received a text later in the day that a 2nd delivery had been made, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I then spent an hour on the phone trying to sort things out, first requesting that my re-delivery request just be honored since I paid the fee and was not informed that it would be pointless, but the rep I spoke with said there were 'no guarantees' then started arguing back at me with a bit of anger when I refuted this response. All she could say is 'nothing is guaranteed' and 'someone will call you Monday morning at 9.'
My concern at this point is that I've just paid for and spent time requesting a service that UPS claims to offer, but that will not be honored, and also that I may again miss the delivery on Monday and that will be the third and final delivery attempt. Why is it so hard to acknowledge a mistake and provide a service you claim to provide? No one has any clear answers and can competently resolve an issue. Everything is left open with no guarantees. Not satisfied, I called Amazon who called UPS again. I was informed by UPS via Amazon that if I miss the delivery again on Monday, I could call Amazon and, again, request another delivery.
So currently, I am just trying to request a refund for the fee I paid for a service I am not and was never going to receive. Apparently this is also mired in complications: Amazon telling me it's a UPS thing, and UPS telling me only Amazon can request that. There is now a supervisor who is trying to make sure I can be reimbursed the fee paid for the botched re-delivery service. He told me he will call back with confirmation. That was 20 minutes ago. Every time I have spoken with a UPS rep they constantly interrupt me and seem to not really hear what I am trying to explain. It feels like the majority of my time on the phone with them has been spent trying to explain the situation in different ways so that they can understand. It has been so utterly frustrating, time consuming, and horrible.
Who knows what will actually happen at this point? Will I be reimbursed? Will I receive the package? Will I have to reschedule again? Will I have to call yet again to make sure any of these things actually happen? I feel like I, the customer, have to do the work and help them assist me in customer service issues that they should be able to address. Oh, and then there was the time UPS left a package with someone in my building (which was not authorized) without leaving an Info Notice, which then led to another gross waste of time trying to locate it. It was a careless move and to compensate they are trying to mention an upgrade to next day air, lol when I already had next day air. It was a poor move to give the appearance of help. But they just tried to cover up their clear mistake and a horrible one. I have called ups three times asking why it has not moved? No one can give me any sensible answer. The last rep I talked to said that if it does not get scanned by 10pm my time. It will be considered lost. Then a investigation begins. This was for a 800.00 dollar phone. What really angers me is the lack of any information from the reps. I have been waiting a week to receive this package which was "Promised" to be at my doorstep before 8pm on Friday. I tried calling the facility with NO ANSWER! I then proceeded to call the 1-800-pickups number and the representative I spoke with had just read to me what it said online and said that I was not their customer but Amazon's (as I bought the item through them). Where do they get off placing the blame on Amazon for a 4 day late package when YOU'RE THE DELIVERY COMPANY. My package now sits at a carrier center 2 miles from my house on a Saturday because I was told that UPS only delivers more important packages on Saturdays. My clubs left Nanaimo, BC, Canada on May 5th and were to be in Naples, Florida May 13th. Our golf school started May 14th. My clubs didn't show. An "investigation" was opened by UPS to try locate my clubs. The investigation was closed 8 days later, on May 21st. The clubs were never found and UPS is refusing liability. They will not cover the cost of my Ping clubs.
Not only were my clubs in the travel case but a new pair of golf shoes, my golf gloves, jacket, a dozen balls, and hat. Basically, all my favorite things disappeared. UPS has either an internal theft problem or they're incompetent. Someone has my Ping golf clubs and it's not me. I had to use rental clubs for my golf school. I will begin by saying that I purchased a McIntosh amplifier in eBay and was very happy to finally be able to afford one. The shipper sent the amplifier via UPS with a $1000 insurance coverage. It was packaged by the UPS store in his area. When I received the package, it was damaged. I opened the box to find that indeed the front glass of the amplifier was broken. I contacted the seller, no response. I initiated a claim with UPS, upon request, I submitted proof of the damage, sent photos of the box etc. A few weeks after with no update, I contacted UPS and was told to contact the UPS store that sent the package. I called the store and the lady stated that a check was being sent for the amount of the insurance.
A few weeks went by and I never received a check. I called back the UPS store that sent the package and was told that the check had been sent to the sender. I asked why the sender if I initiated the claim? Their response is that that is their policy. I contacted the seller via email, phone, you name it, and he never answered. I called back the UPS store and was told there is nothing they can do. I asked if it's policy of UPS to send free money to people. My disappointment with this issue is that UPS does not do anything to help, with that said, I will not use UPS again or accept any packages delivered by them. There was someone home at the alleged delivery time, but no one knocked or rang the door bell. The company I ordered from was kind enough to reship my order and informed me that UPS would call me a half hour before delivery, and place package behind a locked gate instead of leaving it in plain sight at the front door as they did the first time. I was supposed to receive the replacement today, but I received no call, was home all day, but no replacement package as promised. I checked the tracking and UPS stated, again, they delivered leaving the package at the front door. I had checked 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after the time UPS stated they delivered the 2nd package. IT WAS LEFT AT THE FRONT DOOR!!! AGAIN IN PLAIN SIGHT!
I emailed, messaged, called, posted on the UPS Facebook page... No service! I got a call from the local office hours later and the person was a moron! In this area people drive around in vans stealing packages and it's featured on the local news daily! This person said he never heard that before!!! IDIOT! Must live under a rock like a mushroom. Also, UPS deleted my posts from their Facebook page, which has thousands of complaints! There are even multiple Facebook pages just for people to vent their frustrations regarding this substandard company. I also learned that UPS received our tax dollars for a bailout! So, I lost money for my purchases, only receiving a partial credit from the merchant which was kind as it wasn't their fault, lost money from my business - I am self-employed, and still have to go somewhere to get my items.

Our shop received a package - a lounge chair - delivered and crated by UPS freight in the NE side of the country. Once we completed the work that needed to be done (slipcovers), we put the chair in the exact same box and contacted UPS to find out where to take it. The box is roughly 36" cubed and weighs approx 250 lbs, but we don't have a scale since we don't normally ship out of state like this - this was for a special client we work with. I told the customer service exactly what we were shipping and they said any UPS location can accept this package, so we went to the one nearest our shop location.
We asked the clerk if they accepted large crated packages and she said as long as one side isn't over 75", it's fine - no mention of a weight limit. We unload the large item, with no help from anyone, and they say to bring it to the other side of their counter so they can put it on the scale. Scale won't register the item as it's over their weight limit to process. So we have to load the box back up again and clerk gives me an 800 number to call and a possible other address (that doesn't have a number).
Call the 800 number and they give me the same info that any store can accept freight packages, give my zip code, and are given a very different location nowhere near our zip code, but I assume this must be a larger store as clerk mentioned they have a docking station. Take it over there and they say, no we can't accept that. The girl at front desk was very, very rude on top of that and condescending about the whole thing, while there were other customers present as well; a couple people walked out after listening to her handle our dilemma. She gave us the 800 number again to call to find out an address.
Call the 800 number again, state what we're shipping, give my zip code again and are given a completely different address (I'm guessing they randomly pick an address on screen) for a regular store (I've been to this one before so I know they aren't large). I call them and speak to a very nice gentleman, the nicest one I've dealt with thus far in getting this chair shipped. He says, go to the main hub for our city (there's only one) and he gave me the address. They do not have a direct phone number, so no way to contact them to verify, so have to drive out that way (which is roughly about 20 miles away from our work location, mind you).
Get to that location, inquire with them about shipping of the item and wouldn't you know, THEY CAN'T ACCEPT IT EITHER!!! They say "you have to go to the store where the condescending clerk was. They should be able to help you." Mention that we'd already been there and they can't accept it either. We are beyond annoyed with this company now. The dang thing was delivered to us by UPS so I know they have to be able to accept and ship this package somehow and I live in a large, major city - it's not like we're in the country or something, yet no location nor customer service rep can assist us in getting this box to a location that can accept it. We're done trying at this point and are going to look into using FedEx and after this experience, I plan to use FE exclusively now.

Time 1154 (1m UPS phone call) ** - called right back and said the driver will be back between now and 1500. I asked if there was anything else I could provide to ensure the delivery will happen. She said no, they just needed the suite #.
Time 1544 (25m UPS phone call) ** - He started by asking for my apartment #. I explained I already spoke with someone & provided the suite # & provided the info from the above 2 calls. He said the center is closed until Monday. I asked to speak with a supervisor but he said they will just tell me the same thing. I insisted because I needed this package by Sunday. He said he would transfer me to a supervisor but I reached a voice mail & left a message.
Time 1844 (34m UPS phone call) ** - I asked for the package to be delivery to be shipped to a different address. Medtronic would have to make that change. I asked to speak with a supervisor but she said they're only here Mon-Fri. I explained I've been told something different every time I've called & demanded to speak with a supervisor otherwise I would file a complaint with UPS, BBB, & start an online campaign to tell the WWW about this experience. She put me on hold. After holding she said her supervisor is not available now but can call back w/in an hour. I explained that earlier today a supervisor never called me back and asked why I should believe her now. She said a supervisor would call back w/in an hour. I asked if there was any chance it would take >1 hour to call me back. She said no, I will be called w/in an hour.
Time 1924 (39m Medtronic phone call) called Medtronic ** - She called UPS to see if they can forward the package to my vacation destination or hold for Monday morning. UPS will hold for Monday morning at 1800 N Main. ST. and I can pick up as early as 0730. A UPS supervisor did not call back. ** from UPS broke her promise. My overall results from these phone calls w/ UPS this day was the customer service representatives do not have the sufficient knowledge of how to do their job by telling me they will have the package delivered nor do they have sufficient knowledge of their own department (some reps say a supervisor will call back others say there is no supervisor on the weekend). I will do anything I can to avoid using UPS shipping ever again mainly because of this experience. This is a complaint against UPS and the UPS store in Renton, WA (4404 NE 4th St. Renton, WA 98056.) My package was improperly returned to sender. UPS customer service confirmed this multiple times but I was given the runaround and was never refunded. Not only did they not perform the service, but the worst part was how they handled the customer service afterwards. On March 10th, 2015 I used the UPS store to send a package (containing original art) to my friend in Massachusetts. Tracking #**. I chose the option where he had to sign for it. The store employee, **, told me that if he wasn't there to sign for it after 3 times they would hold it at the local UPS faculty so he could pick it up. There was no mention of it ever being returned to WA state. I paid $40.03.
They tried the three times to no avail and after learning that they could try again my friend scheduled one more time for them to deliver it. The UPS representative he talked to never mentioned that if this attempt failed they would return the package to sender. They could only give a window of time for them to be there, and they happened to miss him again.
A few days later we found out the package was being returned to sender. I called UPS customer service on March 24th and talked to a representative named **. He said he could not intercept the package but that after the failed deliveries the package was improperly returned to sender. According to UPS company policy the package should have been held for 5 business days but it was only held for 1 before being returned. He said to get a refund I would have to go into the UPS store that I originally paid for the services. I said, "But if you (UPS) went against your own policies why wouldn't you handle the return for me?" He would only say I needed to go back into the store for the refund.
Once back at the UPS store I talked to a manager named ** who claimed it was not their fault the package was returned and he would have to file a claim with UPS and the UPS Massachusetts facility. He promised to call me back within 48 hours. I never received a call from him. I went back into the store 4 days later to retrieve my returned package (which I then sent through a different company with no problems.) ** was there and told me he talked to UPS and they said it was my friends fault. I told him, No, UPS customer service told me it was improperly returned to sender and that they were at fault. The manager above **, **, promised to look into it and call me back again. She called and left a voicemail saying that she talked to UPS and that it was not their fault and there would be no refund.
I called UPS customer service back the following day and talked to a representative named ** who confirmed that they violated company policy and that it was improperly returned to sender. I asked to speak to her manager. Her manager, ** (Employee ID# **) once again confirmed it was improperly returned to sender. He said he would have the appropriate person call me the following day to resolve the issue. He gave me the customer service supervisor's voicemail where I could leave and message and he would get it. He promised that whether or not a person called me the next day he too would personally call me and follow up the next night by 10 pm PT at the latest.
While at work the next day I received a voicemail from a woman who only identified herself as, This is UPS. No name. I had no idea who she was in the company. She left a very brief message in which she contradicted everything I was told the previous night: That after the failed attempts to deliver the package they were right to return to sender. She said if I had questions I could call back the generic 800 number I was talking to the whole time! ** never called me back when he promised to, even though I left a voicemail to remind him. I never received a call back form UPS at all. I decided I had had enough of the unbelievable UPS runaround and poor customer service.

Worst delivery service and customer service that I have received in a long time. This is the 4th UPS error, with regard to the shipping of only 6 packages in two months. Paid for overnight/AM delivery - $49.88 - delivery status shows "Attempted delivery, no one available to accept package, notice left". Seeing this status (10 min after alleged "attempt") I phoned the destination business - No notice, no attempt for any delivery.
I began my 58 min of "hold time" calling "customer service" for explanation/complaint/expectation that delivery be made. That was one of the most unprofessional examples of awful "customer service" that I have received. No resolution, just long holds/transfers/repetitive off-shore chair fillers giving lip service. No wonder UPS is losing market share, the personnel to which they employ are horrific. If MAYBE this was my first poor experience, I might excuse it… but 4 out of 6 deliveries? How difficult can this be to simply DO what you are being paid to do? Deliver packages when you say they will be delivered and if you cannot do this, change businesses. I know I am - FEDEX Account creation TODAY!

I got a text that said that the driver attempted to deliver my package. I was at work, but my roommate was at home. I called my roommate to make certain that he was home and had not gone anywhere. He verified that he had been home all morning. So I called UPS "Help" line and while the man was very polite he was useless. His big suggestion is that they'll deliver it again on Monday, which if the driver does the same thing will end in the same results. The driver did not knock on my door or my roommate would have answered it.

UPS delivered a package by merely placing it next to our gate hundreds of yards from our house, out near the dirt road we live on in full view of anyone driving by. The package was stolen. I complained and was told to go online and update my preferences in UPS My Choice, which I did. My instructions were to place on the side porch. It seems odd to me that I need to tell them not to put the package out by the road. When the package was delivered, they did not put it on the porch, nor by the gate; instead, they placed it out on the road under the mailbox.
Who does that? When is that ever acceptable? No one I talk to cares. If that were not enough, we had another package shipped using 3 day select which should be delivered by the end of the third business day. The package was received in the UPS facility on Tuesday and is not going to be delivered until the following Monday. They tried to tell me that this means the package is on time. I cannot talk to a local person to express concerns about our deliveries. Worst customer service ever!

Today my package was suppose to be delivered, (already had been delayed due to driver unexpected issues, according to email). But was suppose to be now be delivered today. I’m home and have been home all day but instead of a knock or doorbell, he left a note saying couldn’t deliver. Ok, why?? I’m home and also have a very annoying dog that barks at EVERY KNOCK. No bark, no knock, no package just a note. This is so frustrating when you make sure your home and they don’t bother knocking so you can answer and get your package. Are you really in that much of a hurry or behind that you don’t want to even wait for another minute to actually hand the customer their package. What horrible service. I won’t bother ordering packages if they are coming from UPS. Wasted morning waiting for package.

I ordered an electronic device on 4/8, knowing I'd be flying out of state on the 18th. The website guaranteed 5-7 days shipping time so I was in good shape. Logitech didn't bother to process my order until 4/13 so the delivery date would, of course, be after I left the state. I tried to cancel the shipment with Logitech and UPS but to no avail. On 4/19, while out of state, I received an email from UPS which stated: "A signature is required for package delivery. Hi **, you have a package coming tomorrow." There was an option to sign electronically, which I opted not to do. My intention was that the package would then not be delivered to my front porch and left there.
I returned home on 4/26 and the package had just been left on the porch... on 4/20! When I called UPS their "So sorry. I apologize for this problem..." bs did not cut it with me. The customer service gal then said these are automatically generated emails. (This turned out not to be true.) I held out for a supervisor but he could only apologize again and again.
I feel UPS has become too big for their britches. They are using slipshod, misleading and completely untrue communications in their email alerts and in customer service "speak." I plan to us ANY OTHER means of shipping moving forward. I'm so disappointed with UPS. Not just because they are using poor business communication, but I believe they've reached the point where they are relying on "name recognition and reputation" from the long ago past. And now they are just coasting for profits. Customer service seems to mean little or nothing to UPS any more. Too Bad. Bye Bye UPS.

I have placed MANY orders from Amazon and various clothing companies over the past 10 years and each and every order that was shipped via UPS has arrived in a few short days, and has had great tracking information available to keep track of my order and plan for its arrival. I recently ordered some clothes online, which were shipped in four separate packages. For some reason two were shipped via UPS and two through FedEx. UPS basically overnight-ed my order; however, the other shipping company won't get my order to me until next week. Tracking information was great with UPS, as always. At this time, I only knew there was a TERRIBLE, new UPS driver... yet identified.
I met the Brown Man [uniform, not colour]. I asked about the deliveries being lost, and what his name was... POLITELY, as his name tag was deliberately obscured. He BARED his TEETH, CLENCHED both FISTS and HOVERED over my WHEELCHAIR. Quote: "None of your [unintelligible] business... This building is a PAIN... You complain too much... It's your fault... because... you complain too much!" REALLY? Unions at work, folks. I stopped doing business with companies that shipped UPS for a few months. When I started to get reliable, TO MY DOOR DELIVERIES [which I pay for] from UPS, I discovered that ** was OUT on leave during the time UPS deliveries were BACK to normal. Now... ** is BACK. Medication sent from VA for my husband who is a disabled vet and gets his medications delivered via UPS because the VA is 40+ miles from our house and we can only get his meds from VA, not any pharmacy. No one was available at the times the driver was delivering after 2pm. 4/14/15, and 4/15/15 attempt was made, but no one home. The plan while we were out of town and my daughter who is house-sitting for us would get his meds and overnight them to us for the 3 months we were away. She works from 2-6 and can't take a day off to wait for UPS. 4/15/15 she called customer service and was told she could change the address for delivery for a charge. She said "ok" and gave them my neighbor's address across the street. The package was to be delivered on 4/17/15.
4/17/15 no one showed up. My neighbor cancelled all her plans and waited at home for us knowing how important this was for my husband to get his medication. My daughter called customer service back and they said they would deliver it on 4/18/15 (which was Saturday). She explained that the address would have to be changed back to our address. They tell her that the package cannot have the address changed because it requires someone 21 or older at the original address to sign and that is why they never showed up. Although the driver documented he made an attempt, no slip was left.
4/18/15 my daughter receives a call from the Orlando office on Atlantic ave and they tell her "I hope you don't think this package will be delivered today. There is no Saturday orange sticker on it so the sender is not willing to pay the extra for Saturday delivery". My daughter asks if she can pick up the package and they tell her the only one who can pick it up is my husband. So at this point my daughter tells UPS "Just send the package back to the VA. My parents can pick it up when they get back into town" (this would give 3 days for it to be returned and we can p/u on our way home).
4/18/15 Still upset that this has been such an issue. I call customer service and ask why I cannot pick up the package in the office on Tuesday when we get back. The customer service which is in the Philippines kept cutting me off to read the computer notes to me. I am really angry at this point and when I tried to interrupt her she actually says "Oh my God" under her breath. She just wants to read the notes. I know what the notes say I have been dealing with this since 4/14 and I can read the same thing under tracking online that she is reading. I ask if I can just have the number to the local delivery place so I can work this out with them. First she tells me "No". Then after I ask to speak to a supervisor and she puts me on hold for 5 min she comes back and says "Oh there is a number that was given for me to call and discuss the package" and gives me the number. I call and no one answers. This is at 1200 on Saturday. So I figure "Ok, maybe they are closed". I call on Monday and again no answer.
4/20/15 I call customer service as I am driving back to FL from NY and get told the package is on the truck to be delivered that day. But again my daughter won't be there. I ask "Can I not pick it up on Tuesday?", and I get told by customer service that if no one is home on Monday they will hold the package for 1 business day at local Atlantic Ave office and I can go pick it up. It does not have to be my husband. Anyone over 21 with ID showing the address of the package can pick it up. I say "Great, I will go and get it tomorrow on our way home".
The driver however leaves a note on the door saying "1st attempt. Will make another attempt tomorrow 4/21/15". So I say "Great". Waited all day and at 8 pm when no one shows up I call the Philippines customer service number because no one is answering the number I was given for the local office. I ask what happened. They tell me the package is being sent back. I ask to speak to a supervisor, I get **. I explain the whole story. I stress the importance of this package. My husband now is out of his medication which he can have seizures from if suddenly stopped, and ** calls ** at the Atlantic office and calls me back and says "I have great news. Your package never made it on the truck to be returned so they are going to hold it for you. You can go pick it up at 8901 Atlantic Ave Orlando tomorrow". I say "Great, thank you".
4/22/15 Sick with the flu myself I drive 15 miles to the office and give the very rude person at the desk the info number and she says the package is returned. I explain to her that I know the computer says this but ** from customer service called and talked to someone here last night and they held the package. Could she please go check. She points at the computer and says this is what it says; it's not here. In shock, sick with the flu, I ask to speak to a supervisor. She writes on a piece of paper a phone number with Longwood written above and tells me to call that number - that is where the package is and walks off. Never smiled, never said I am sorry, refused to get a supervisor.
I call and get ** on the phone. Tell her this whole story and she says "Let me call the driver. It is out to be delivered back the VA today and see what I can do". She calls back 30 min later and says "Good news. I got a hold of driver and he is going to bring the package back in. And for all your trouble I am going to put a new label on it and make sure it is delivered to your home address today". I say "Thank you", trusting that she is in charge so should believe what she says.
My husband waited home all day, and at 4pm ** supervisor from the Philippines calls me and asks me why did I not go pick up package. I say "I did. They did not have it" and explained everything to him. This prompted me to call the Longwood office ** and make sure the package is coming since it is after 4 and no one has come. ** answers and says the package was returned to sender at 1030 am this morning. UNBELIEVABLE!!! She then cannot give me a reason why it was not sent. States ** leaves at 1030 in the morning and she doesn't see or talk to her. So she does not know what happened. Is it possible that 13 days after this med was sent on a 3-day delivery is returned to sender after being told by two supervisors and 3 or 4 customer service people that the package would be delivered to me. Yet still don't have this package. Worst customer experience I have ever had.

My husband ordered one king-size and two twin-size mattresses from Casper for our first new house in Irvine. Casper shipped our two twin-size mattresses and UPS delivered on-time before my husband went back Okinawa, Japan to work. However, the king-size mattress should be delivered around this Tuesday April 21 while my husband has already gone back Okinawa, Japan for work. I flew back from Okinawa, Japan on Japan local time Tuesday, April 21, which California time Monday, April 20. California time is 20 hours delay from Japan local time. So I arrived LA at EST 11 AM on April 21. After I got rental car, picked up my stuffs from my parents-in-law house in Huntington Beach, then drove to my Irvine house, it was already 5:30 PM. I missed the first attempt delivery.
I saw the FIRST UPS InfoNotice on my house door that pointed out 2nd attempt would be Wednesday April 22 without estimated time. Because I only got 3 days off for this trip and I will leave on Friday April 24, I didn't want to miss the 2nd attempt on April 22, so I bought some banana, fruit cup, and chips for today, April 22 UPS delivery. I woke up at 5:30 AM. COX guys came to house today to install internet, TV, and home phone and completed everything at 3 PM. California Pacific Homes Customer Services Representative provided me a walk-through around 11 AM. After they left, I was opening boxes and separating everything. After Cox guy tested the TV installation at 3 PM, TV was turned off because I didn't want to miss UPS delivery. The whole house was quiet.
I called UPS customer service around 4:25 PM and checked for my mattress delivery information online myself. My mattress is currently located at one of Aliso Viejo, CA centers. **, one of UPS customer service representative also checked the delivery update and said the UPS delivery man just left around 4:21 PM, which was almost the same time I called UPS customer service. There were no knocking or doorbell ringing. During the time on the phone with UPS customer service representative **, I walked to my house front door and found the another UPS InfoNotice on my house door. I told him my situation, and he talked to his manager **.
After I talked to **, he told me that the local distribution center (should be one of Aliso Viejo, CA centers) would call me back in a hour. One hour passed, nobody called. I called UPS Customer Service again and told this UPS customer service representative again. She said she had raise my complaint to the center distribution where my mattress was located (one of Aliso Viejo, CA centers). I asked her that I had already had two complaints sent to the one of Aliso Viejo, CA centers and nobody called back. I finally got talked to her manager, which was very nice. After I explained the whole difficulties with UPS delivery experience, she transferred my phone call to the local distribution as I requested.
It was suddenly very quiet on the phone. I said at least three time "Hi". A strange guy with low cold voice said "yes?" I asked him for my mattress delivery and explained that I couldn't wait a whole another day at home for his delivery man because I would leave on Friday. I have had already wait for today whole day from 5:30 AM to 4:25 PM when I made the first UPS customer service call. When I finished the second UPS customer service call, it was around 7:20 PM. I didn't go anywhere for anything. I even didn't have any meal for almost 14 hours. I only had two banana and little chip for the morning.
My husband and I just got this brand new house. All of our staffs were packed in boxes in the living room. I couldn't even make a meal since I was afraid to miss the UPS delivery and didn't go to grocery store to get grocery today. I also didn't watch TV. There were no noise in the house. If the delivery man knocked my house front door or press doorbell, I would hear. I requested them to delivery my mattress right away. It's not my fault for the 2nd delivery attempt. This center distribution man said no and they had their schedule and priority, but that he could make an arrangement for the later delivery. I want to know if he even paid attention what I just explained to him that I would leave California on Friday.
Since I had already wasted all my Wednesday to wait for his delivery man to deliver my mattress, which was never gotten to deliver my place, I had to visit school for my twin girls and asked questions for enrollment tomorrow, Thursday. He just ignored all my words and told me that he could make an arrangement for my mattress delivery another day. I will only have one day before I leave in California. How can he make an arrangement when I will not at my house? As he said he could make an arrangement with me, this means his position is definitely higher than a delivery man. He must realize when he talked to anyone is not UPS staffs, he is the UPS representative. Any word, reaction, response, anything will be considered as UPS corporate culture.
I am wondering now if this is the UPS corporate culture teaching this guy to treat UPS customers as UPS competitors as enemies with disrespect voice without any greeting word when he answered the phone even without a "HI", if this is also the UPS corporate culture teaching him to ignore UPS customers' request and explanation of their difficult situation which is caused by UPS staffs, and if this is UPS corporate culture teaching him to arrogantly ask UPS customers what they want to do with the delivery after he know what he should do?
UPS staffs including executives, managers, anyone work for UPS and UPS founders and shareholders, please consider my situation as an example. If my situation happened today, I am sure the similar situation happened before many times. I read couple of UPS reviews on Consumer Affairs before I write this review. How many people before my review are telling the truth from their words are very easy to identify? Please ask yourself have you done anything to prevent this type of things happen again so far for UPS customers? I know some of us are just recipients. Recipients don't pay UPS delivery fee normally.
But have you think about if we are the recipients who don't buy the products from UPS business members, are UPS still going to earn the delivery fee for the shipping? Even it's a fixed amount monthly fee for each business member, are UPS still going to earn the same monthly delivery fee if UPS business members' sales go down and may eventually go bankrupt because of UPS staff's reckless action? Cheap commission or price strategy to compete does not always have victory. UPS will be still the losing company if UPS doesn't do anything about their mistakes like treating UPS customers, no matter the sender or receiver, with disrespect, ignorance, and arrogance attitude.
It's really ironic when I just thought about what happened to me last Christmas trip with Alamo rent car. But at least Alamo tried to make it right. They got appropriate manager to apology and help me out. It's the same issue - "Customer Service". I need to say UPS customer service representatives on the phone were really nice, but UPS should not train them to provide irreverent information to the customer or make impossible promises to customer such as the complaint request will answer with the appropriate representative in an hour. I can hear from their voices that they want to help the customers, but they just don't have enough information and authority. I also can hear the UPS Center management who has the enough information and power to do the right thing are not willing to do anything.
I am not trying or purposely intending to threaten UPS or anyone. But my UPS delivery experience has already started to spread. I just talked to my mother-in-laws who only saw me about three times a year that I couldn't make to our lunch tomorrow. My lovely mother-in-laws said not worried and she would take lunch for me tomorrow to my house. I also just talked to my friend at Oceanside that I also couldn't make to meet at Oceanside for dinner because I didn't get the UPS delivery and needed to wait again tomorrow for the delivery.
Well, UPS, you know what? Now it's three person (my parents-in-laws and one of my friends) already known my experience. If I got approval to post my review to Consumer Affairs website, there will thousands, maybe millions of people read my experience. I have my colleagues and more friends everyday. My friends' friends and my colleagues' friends, etc...don't see it? It will grow. More and more people will know what UPS staffs have done to UPS customers. People will be extremely cautious when they do anything with UPS or not do business with UPS at all. I will tell you, UPS. I will never use UPS services. If I buy the online products that will be shipped through UPS, I will find any ways to let my purchases not shipped from UPS. It's so disappointed.
How can Americans criticize other country's people the way they do business? Are we doing business right? Before we say anything, we should evaluate ourselves first. Shame on you, the guy from one of Aliso Viejo, CA centers. Shame on UPS since you didn't train our staffs right. Shame on us, who try to make others' life harder. We just make ourselves total losing situation.
There is no win-win at all. The delivery man keeps coming to delivery the same product. The customer keeps calling customer service and waste idle time at home do nothing. The customer service reps keep raise complaints to the same center. The same guy from this center keep miserably receiving complaints from his own customer service reps and hearing customers' complaints. When will end? It will just get worse. Please, UPS! Find the cause and solve your problems.

He promised that the package would be delivered on the 17th. I waited all day and UPS never arrived. I checked the UPS website and it showed that the package was delayed, why? I on the package. A simple package shipped by express UPS priority mail on March 17th from Brunei to Victoria, BC, Canada mysteriously arrived in Ontario, California where it remained for almost 3 weeks stuck in the UPS warehouse. Despite numerous emails to UPS management team nothing happened. They even promised to call me at a certain time on several occasions but it never happened. They always followed up with a lame excuse. If the document will ever arrive I will be subject to penalties for late submittal. The document was very difficult to obtain in the first place in Brunei and at great expense. Is UPS going to cover the cost to obtain another original document? Will they ship it by UPS or by a more reliable courier?
How does David Abney, CEO of UPS, justify a 6.6 million-dollar salary when he cannot manage a company that attempts to deliver a simple package between two major geographical hubs? It is not surprising that there are many many negative reviews of UPS. The founder of the company is surely turning into his grave. No doubt that some readers will comment that a CEO does not micro-manage an organisation such as UPS, I entirely agree. However, a CEO should if he is competent, ensure that there are sufficient reliable tracking mechanisms in place that can readily flag misplaced items. In so doing these flagged messages can be prioritized brought to the CEO's attention as there is obviously a failure in the system that needs to be addressed by management.
This is the first time I have the occasion to use the services of UPS and I guarantee that it will be the last. Furthermore, not only will I not recommend UPS to any of my colleagues I will make positive efforts to ensure that they avoid using UPS as their courier. In summary, the package was shipped from Brunei on March 17th and was supposed to be delivered here within 3 days! We paid extra for a priority service and you did not honour your contract. In 2 days more it will be already 1 month. I want a 100% refund and compensation for wasting my time at 157$US per hour.

I paid 192$ for overnight "guaranteed" shipping to my house. Item to be delivered 04/10. I watched UPS come to my building and drop everyone else's packages off. Mine were nowhere to be seen. Upon tracking, I noticed that my items were stuck in Raleigh due to "severe weather". Checked the weather in the southeast and there was nothing but sunshine up and down. Called the sender (which will get it's very own one star review) who told me that it was my problem to deal with UPS. Called UPS and they pointed the finger in the other direction. UPS said my items would not be delivered until next business day. I needed the items delivered on the day I paid for. So, I called several auto parts stores and found my items so that I could complete my intended project. Items came on Saturday instead of Monday. That's great, except I no longer needed them.
I didn't feel that I was responsible for return shipping since I had paid nearly 200$ and did not receive my "guaranteed" delivery. On 04/13 a rep said that UPS would gladly pick up my items and deliver, free of charge, back to the sender. All I had to do was leave the items outside my door with a note for the driver. 04/14- No one picked my items up. Called and spoke with 5 people who had no idea what I was talking about. The last person I spoke with said to be patient because he guaranteed UPS would pick up my items next business today. 04/15- No one picked my items up. Called customer service again to which a truly horrendous rep explains to me that I will have to pay to return the items because they do not control the weather. Clearly, I know that UPS does not control the weather. However, neither do I and neither does my wallet which paid for a guarantee overnight delivery.
I just think it's funny that the comment below me had nearly the exact same issue paying overnight shipping for it to be stuck in the exact same facility a week prior. So, UPS, severe weather two weekends in a row? There is so much I have left out. For instance, the person who called me tonight to say that UPS would pick up my package tomorrow but that there would be no insurance, no tracking and no guarantee since I am "refusing" the package. Regardless, I am pretty sure the overnight, very expensive, freight is a scam UPS has created in order to basically steal consumer money. I have attached a receipt from the sender of my freight charge and the tracking information from UPS. In the end, I have decided that I will send my items back via FedEx. Never again UPS. Never again.

I called to have thirteen large boxes picked up from my house in Florida , to be delivered to my home in Illinois. They were picked up on Thursday, April 2, 2015, and twelve were delivered on Tuesday, April 7. Most were in beat-up condition - the plastic storage boxes in which goods were packed, then placed into cardboard heavy-duty boxes, were broken in several cases. But contents were in satisfactory condition, overall. The thirteenth box had not arrived by Friday, so I called and spoke to an agent who informed me that the address was hard to read, but the box would be delivered on Monday, April 13. It was left on my doorstep, and I pulled it into the house.
When I noted the box was taped up completely so much more than I had done, I opened the box and discovered that my packed cardboard box was inside the box I saw - it had been replaced into another box. My plastic storage box inside was in many, many pieces, and was upside down. The contents, approximately fifteen phonograph albums which are part of a 64-album set, were partially compromised. Such a disappointment, especially as the albums were to be a gift to my son-in-law. I do not understand how so much damage was done to a container unless it was very carelessly handled. UPS will NOT be my choice in the future to deliver my precious cargo.

The first time they had my name wrong, and my apartment number wrong. I had her adjust. Then I called again... name still wrong, apartment number still wrong, and I clarified my postal code. Final time I called, she at least had my name and buzzer number, but had my postal code wrong! So it would appear I will be staying home again tomorrow to wait for a 3rd day. They ripped the METAL capacitor cage off an expensive electric motor and dented the motor. They will not honor a claim because the motor, which was bolted to a 3/4" plywood sheet that was larger than the motor and brassed by wood slats, because the box was not heavy enough. OK. So what kind of cardboard is strong enough to withstand the kind of force it takes to RIP screws out of a metal frame? The part that was ripped off was nowhere to be found. I had stopped using UPS about 2 years ago and just recently decided to give them another chance.
I used UPS 2 years ago and they destroyed a package. They tried to refuse the claim until I angrily forced the case worker to look at pictures (never bothered to look at the pictures on her own) of a hole through one side of the box through to the other side that was seemingly made by a fork lift, totally wrecking the contents. It’s like these people are angry they have jobs and take it out on the customers because of extremely poor management.

I create one-of-a-kind, artistically restored vintage furniture that is always too large to ship to my customers thru USPS or other carriers, so UPS it is. I've had unfavorable experiences with them before but nothing like this... In January 2015, I shipped a bistro set in two boxes, one shipment, as they advised due to the size. I packed it as they required with at least three inches of foam, bubble wrap, padding, etc., in 2- 250lbs boxes (though the whole shipment only weighed 51lbs). My customer was so excited to receive it; she tracked the shipment and waited for the UPS truck to arrive. He did.
From her front door she witnessed the driver violently kicking the boxes through and out the truck door, down onto the street. There were 9" x 12" FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE SIGNS on every side of the box, so large were the signs, the customer could read them from her porch! She walked up to the driver and asked him why he did that and his reply was, "it was heavy and too large". Needless to say, the chair legs had splintered and the wooden table top dented, rendering the entire set useless. I had to refund the entire amount to the customer including shipping, packing expenses, and for the items.
I, of course, insured the shipment. However, I was given the run-around for over 2 months, lied to by UPS customer service reps who passed me from department to department and back again, treated me rudely, and ultimately stiffed!!! I created the one of a kind art and it cost over $265 to ship so I lost money and I was heartbroken that something that I spent weeks to create was treated like GARBAGE by UPS!!! I received ZERO understanding, ZERO empathy and POOR service from them. They acted like it was my fault when it was THEIR UPS DRIVER who was 100% negligent. Even the claims department agreed with me, **, the only person there who tried to DO THE RIGHT THING. Instead of negotiating with me, they just sent what they thought I deserved, which meant, of course, I loss money due to their misconduct.
My account rep, **, was patronizing, unhelpful, uncaring and did not work with or for me. Can I dump her as my reps???? In fact, she didn't even come into the picture until April (where was she in Jan?) when she called to argue with me, then promised to negotiate on my behalf. I gave her until Friday. Friday came and left. Two weeks later, today, she calls to say she's sending me $50. Not only does that not cover my losses, but the two and a half months of MY PRECIOUS TIME spent trying to resolve this to no avail, is worth much more than that! It's all about the money, ripping off a small business instead of owning up to their mistakes. I hope UPS is very proud of themselves! Disgusting! Shame on you ** and UPS! Still might take them to small claims court...it's way past the issue of money now...it's the principle!!! P.S. This UPS driver is in the Lewisville, TX area. I tracked my package to confirm it was on its way and saw this comment, "The receiving business was closed. / Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day." I immediately called UPS because the business was not closed, thinking they made this mistake due to Good Friday. I was told that they could have the driver reattempt delivery. I decided then I would try to pick it up, the lady arranged for me to do so. I later get a call from the local service center located at: 270 Marvin Miller Dr SW in Atlanta, GA (the worst customer service known on this planet) I was told my package was left on a trailer and I could not pick it up. The agent said it must have gotten mixed up and flagged with packages for known closed businesses. This sounded absurd to me. I needed the package for Sunday and now that was NOT going to be possible.
He then said they would reattempt delivery on Monday. Monday came and I tracked the package and same message as before, "The receiving business was closed. / Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day." Again, my business was not closed. I called UPS and after being on hold for almost an hour a supervisor told me he couldn't get a hold of the local service center but would call me back in an hour. Almost 4 hours later, I receive a call from the local center that the package was never attempted to be delivered, and that this looked strange. I'm an extremely frequent sender of urgent parcels (especially perishables). And i have had too too many mishaps with UPS. Especially since they do not and will not deliver on Sundays even when there are dire exceptions like this last weather. On the other hand, FEDEX almost always delivered on time or early. Which is why giordano's and other specialty food restaurants use fedex for their service provider.
Case in point: I sent these 2 pizzas from malnati's next day air, and instead of friday noon delivery they are now telling me it will be MONDAY DELIVERY since the recipient was not home at the time of their first attempt! I found out the recipient was indeed home, so can't figure out the mishap. And I doubt the food will be edible after the THREE DAY DELAY!!! Meanwhile, i ordered two different orders from giordano's both expedited to different residences for Saturday delivery. One arrived by noon today/saturday, and the other was early even. And I paid less for their FEDEX express services then with yours/UPS.
Additionally, I was on the phone with UPS call center in the Philippines numerous times, for about a total of 1.5 hours trying to get any clarification on my order. I was put on hold for long periods of time with no help whatsoever. The sad thing is: although the storm affected the UPS center in Louisville, Ky my packaged showed online it had already arrived by Friday morning at the destination sorting center!!

We were not going to be able to travel to Shreveport for a couple of days, so I paid $75 for UPS first AM delivery. The delivery got stuck at DFW airport for 24 hours because of weather. I called UPS customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. The next day they flew the package to Louisville, Ky which was also having inclement weather.
Finally the day of the funeral, I see that the package is on a truck in Shreveport. I contact UPS customer service and beg them to contact the truck driver to have that package expedited to the funeral home. Again they told me there was nothing they could do. We scrambled to go and get another outfit for my grandmother to wear in time for the visitation that night. We were able to get the new outfit there with two hours to spare. UPS showed up 10 minutes before the visitation. Too late to use the beautiful outfit that was bought for my grandmother. We had to use one that was purchase in a RUSH.
I hate UPS for this experience. I will never have anything but negative things to say about this company to anyone I talk to. I contacted Fedex on an unrelated matter and asked them generally if this situation would have come up, could they have contacted the driver to get the package expedited. They said yes, they had an escalation procedure for that type of issue. So basically after hearing me cry and beg to get that package to the funeral home for my grandmother, UPS did nothing.

It all started with an angry driver who shouted at my daughter and then myself late one night just before Christmas over a package he misdelivered. The seller made a claim for the product so they could re-ship which pissed off the driver. He yelled and stomped his feet which scared my daughter. I asked he not come back so UPS decided they would no longer deliver to my home in retaliation. By the way, I attempted to contact their customer service but was treated to a very polite but not helpful agent. All my Amazon stuff is being returned to them. They in turn have had me fill out a delivery service problem inquiry. Other vendors I use have decided they can ship using other providers. Walmart.com delivers FedEx already so no problem there so far. I asked Amazon to offer a choice of shippers when ordering but haven't heard back on that issue yet.
There are many mail order sellers who don't show the transit provider when ordering online. They just don't receive orders from what I imagine is a broad array of others who may not have one or more transit providers doing deliveries to them. You would think sellers would make sure to offer choice on all websites to increase sales. It's just common sense. But who has common sense anymore?

Someone at UPS OPENED my package and found an address in there that was intended for the receiver to ship something to. UPS had me transferred from dept. to dept and I kept getting voicemail. Finally told me they will not refund me for the package that was 1) not delivered; 2) opened and resealed; and 3) sent to a wrong address. They said I should have put an extra label IN the box in case of a problem.... HUH??? FURIOUS, FURIOUS, FURIOUS. I am cancelling my business account with them.

I came home to find that my package was delivered on 3/17 and left on the front porch of my house for days in pouring rain. The email from UPS said it was left at the office. The box was all wet. They did not pick it up until the 20th of March 2015, I have contacted Ups for a refund, they told me I have to get with the shipper to get a refund in which I have paid for and told me look at their legal notices, basically I will not get a refund. I have no idea how's it still in business. They are the most unprofessional people to work with. I had ordered wedding invitations through Vista print and had paid extra to get them shipped within 2 days. So the day comes and I checked the tracking number from work and it says they have left the package on my porch. I called a neighbor to go pick it up and they say there is no package there. I get and home and yep nothing is there. I immediately just think someone stole it, so I decided to call UPS and see what I should do. The guy who answered said "oh it looks like he delivered it to the wrong address. He delivered to south st not west st...??!!?"
Ummmm. Ok I don't know how you can possibly mix that up, so I ask what are they going to do about it. He says "well it's late, the delivery driver probably doesn't want to go back there but I will send that center a message and they will call you within an hour." Did I get a call? No I did not! So I call back extremely upset, retell the story and they say "well there's not much we can do for you." I asked "well are you gonna pay for the package so I can reorder and pay for them to be overnighted?" They said "no but we will go ahead and open a case that will take 8-14 days but they will look into it." I was so mad all I could do was laugh.
I really needed those invites to go out the next day... Just a wedding, no big deal if people show up I guess. The next thing I could think of was to call vista print... Thank GOD they were very nice about the whole situation and apologized for UPS. They immediately overnighted new ones (which unfortunately had to be sent through ups again), they are expected to be here on Monday and I am taking the day off just to make sure I can get them. Thanks UPS.

People at the house said they never got a package!! Really?:). UPS said that there is nothing they can do. So I am out the cost of the wine.
Also, the UPS rep hung up on me. I was actually really nice about the situation. But she did not want to do anything else. Kept repeating her company policy!!!! They should just send me the money for the other 2 bottles. Said, “the sender can file another claim.” “Oh I sent it to myself when I was in Seattle” :) I told her that. Then she hung up. UPS are such liars and lazy **! On so many occasions, I would wait for my package(s) after tracking and knowing it read, OUT FOR DELIVERY. Only for me run to the store and stumble on a notice. I think to myself, did they even knock or ring the bell??? I have been home that day waiting. Anyhow, instead of playing games with UPS, I just request for a pick up. So of course you get a call saying your package will be ready after 7 but we close @ 8:30pm. Now if anyone live in Philly then know the horrible UPS down South Philly. I dread going here. You wait so long, they call out addresses for people who aren't even waiting. They are extremely slow and is always packed. I can't stand it. The longest I've waited was 2 hrs only to be told that the driver is not back with your package off the truck. Like wtf? Why would they call and say you can come today to pick it up???
I absolutely despise those inconsiderate **. They make me sick. We are the ones who pay for our merchandise and possibly extra shipping only for them not to be at our door on time as promised but will advise us to pick it up at our local UPS. Who would want to and what's the point of them having drivers who can't fulfill the customers needs and their job duties? Half of them as flat out lazy and just because it's way in the back of the truck doesn't mean it isn't valuable to go get. It's my stuff, they should be brought out like how banks do and become a bigger and better company.

If you are a small business and use UPS for shipping you will be out of luck if you have a damaged package and are trying to claim insurance for which you paid. They routinely claim that the packaging was at fault even if it is well-packed and added insurance is purchased. It appears that they are not interested in small business anymore, just the big guys. I had been using them for 26 years giving them $75,000 in business over the course. They refused to pay a $200 claim for damage which was their fault (they never admit it) and I closed my shipping account with them. Their loss from my business was approx. $3000 per year (pocket change to them) So in reality they forfeited $3000 worth of business for a $200 claim. UPS needs a more intelligent approach to customer service.

I have two complaints. Two weeks ago, I ordered a weekly meal subscription service to be delivered on Thursdays. Through all of the checkpoints, the package checked in fine; however, once it got to my local UPS store in Bogart, GA, the items inside (14 lbs.) mysteriously vanished. All I received from UPS concerning my package was that they threw away the box because the items were gone. So, somewhere between Atlanta, GA and Bogart, GA my items left the box. I tried contacting customer service, but they refused to tell me anything more about my box.
My shipper gave me a box for free...bringing me to this past week. I was concerned that my box was not delivered. I contacted my shipper for verification. Sunday (3 days later), the leasing office at my apartment tells me they found my box. Instead of bringing it to my door (where I ensured someone was there all day since it was perishable) or to the open leasing office, it was left outside in the rain and the 80 degree weather for three days. They only noticed it when they smelled something and thought there was a dead animal outside.
Not only had my food (69$ worth) spoiled, it had liquified. Everything was covered in the juice of everything else. I could not stand the smell. I called both the Atlanta office and the local office for assistance. I was told it was my fault for ordering perishable food. If I could give this review zero stars, I would. This is unacceptable.

The package was going to be sent to Canada, I inquired if another charges will be incurred if I sent the package through UPS, I was told that was not the case. When the package arrived to Canada, UPS was demanding an additional fee of $90.00 to deliver the package (of course UPS claims that this is the fault of the UPS store and not them). The receiver refused the charges, but somehow the return address in the label was for an address in Florida (I was sending the package from Illinois). Aware of this situation I contacted UPS useless customer service and made them aware of the situation, I was advised by them that the UPS store can request that the package be sent back to them in Illinois (I contacted the UPS store and requested that they do so).

I was presented with this lame excuse, that the label cannot be changed and the return address in the label is the return address. I was told by their "customer service" that I have not claimed with them. I told them that I was lied to by their customer service department. Second piece was done within the past weeks and four packages were mailed. The work was packaged according to UPS shipping instructions on their website. I have been trying constantly, daily to get some response from UPS as to repairing the work which was shipped insured. UPS is covering up their delays by saying it is weather related when it is NOT! If the East coast weather is causing nationwide delays, than UPS needs to be re-organized. Why should we in the Southwest have our shipments delayed due to weather out East? Especially when the items we are shipping and receiving are coming from the Southwest? We are switching to FedEx who has no such nationwide delays. They cost a little more, but they deliver when they say they will, not UPS. We are done with UPS!

I live in rural area of CA. I order supplies for my work related reasons. Sometimes the items I order are time-sensitive, and I utilize UPS service for direct delivery to my house (USPS carrier does not ship directly to my house, so I have a PO BOX miles away). I was expecting a package yesterday 3/9/15 (per tracking, it states guaranteed delivery by end of the day). Mind you, I even purposely stayed at home all day to wait for this package, so I can start preparing for my work projects.
Around 2pm, I recheck the tracking. It states "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made." Last time I checked, this package does not require a signature or the receiver to be there for the delivery. And where is my InfoNotice? I had even left the gate open, waiting for this postman. There was not even tire tracks on my main property road. I called up UPS customer service, which they have kindly connected me to the local UPS location.
Apparently, the postman driver said he was too busy to deliver to my location today because he's overloaded with delivering packages. Therefore, he checked off "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made." by accident. He asked if I wanted to meet halfway from the UPS location. Meeting halfway?? I have never heard of such thing. Why do I pay for UPS service and still not have my packages delivered on time? If that was the case, I would've had it delivered to my PO BOX by the USPS.
I went back to all my previous tracking numbers from UPS, and I noticed ALL my packages states "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made." and it's always delivered 3-4 days later than it was supposed to. This is unacceptable. This is falsifying documents. Even one occasion I had to drive down to the UPS location (which is 45 min away) to pick up a signature required package. Why? Apparently the item was "The receiver was not available at the time of the first delivery attempt. A second attempt will be made." and we were home all 3 attempts but no postman came to attempt to deliver! I should have million of these InfoNotices by now, but sorry I don't. I'll be happy to present all my past tracking numbers to show that this postman is falsifying documents and not doing his job.

I'm 71yrs. old so I hope I see these numbers correct, tracking # is ** UPS ground **. It was a slow cooker coming from Beehive Sunbeam Products Inc. Neosho, MO 64850. Thanks for all your help.

Today is my daughter's sweet 16 party. I order her some shoes Thursday. Paid extra for shipping to get them Saturday. The package was supposed to be here at 12pm. We have been waiting now over an hour. Party starts at 4. I call UPS. They were very rude. Didn't help me at all. Now my child may be out of shoes to wear and I'm out of 33 dollars extra for shipping. They said it was because of bad weather but it's 22 outside, clear, and no SNOW. What's the issue? I'm very upset and if she doesn't get her shoes I'm contacting the BBB and they will pay me my money for extra shipping.

I shop online a lot and it makes me cringe anytime I see that the vendor uses UPS. They couldn't get a package delivered to across the street from their facility in the specified two day window after charging twice the price to schlep it there. Ridiculously out of touch and real need of being dismantled and replaced by donkey and cart to see an improvement. When is someone going to get smart and let some private companies come in and run this unreliable service. Latest disappointment, package paid for and guaranteed for two days, it took six. One before that, two days, took nine.

We had 10 packages that were supposed to be delivered to us. UPS only delivered 8 and since the person accepting the package did not count the package UPS had him sign for 10 packages and only deliver the 8th. The driver of UPS stole the package. Called UPS and they said there was nothing they could do because we signed for the package.

I use UPS and FedEx a lot for truck parts for me and customers at home and at the shop. I ordered material from Dallas on Sunday. Both packages were shipped on Wednesday first off, for UPS the packages started from Dallas international to Mesquite Texas, then Vernon Texas, a distance of 180 miles, and this over the period of 3 days??? I have now been on the phone and online trying to figure out why it is messed up, all I get is severe weather! However Dallas got north of nothing on snow, New Mexico as well, Colorado got a few inches however Colorado knows how to handle the snow. My FedEx packages came yesterday!! A day early!!
UPS still does not even have a clue where the 2 packages are and why they are there, all I get is due to severe weather there are delays. I would understand this if I ordered packages from Utah to Colorado in the deepest winter, but Dallas Texas?! You kidding me UPS? FedEx has not been a problem once, UPS always problems, even though I personally and at work use them multiple times a month! No customer service, no information, no help! Will not be using UPS anymore, they just lost a very good personal customer and business customer!!!

I have paid for one day shipping for a pack eave I. We'd to start working. I woke up to see Ups has shifted my arrival date due to inclement weather. Here is the kicker with the internet: I am able to track past and present weather. Needless to say they were losing through their teeth. Now my job is hanging in limbo and I may lose it. And Ups will not refund me as they stand behind their lie. My one day shipping has turned into two days and it's still not here.

The package I paid for did not arrive on the day per the contract signed between myself and UPS for the service of delivery of the package per the day agreed. This package was extremely important and when I finally got through to a live body, they barely even spoke English. This business is pathetic and the customer service is non existent, never again.

This company is the absolute WORST to deal with. They send you back and forth to every single store before anyone will deal with you. They claim they do things and NEVER do. Lose packages and stall to reimburse you so that you give up. This actually a form of a scam so yes I am calling UPS ** SCAMMERS. Haven't had 1 good experience with them in about year. This is the absolute last time I will deal with these useless people. Can't even deliver a damn package properly and will make promises they cannot keep. How many time have I heard "you have my word" damn liars and scammers. Avoid them if you can.

UPS does not warn customers that the package will be sent back to the sender after the third attempt to deliver the package. Also they can't reroute it back to the customer. This is a terrible policy. No one even tried contacting me to inform me.

So I get a call about my package being unable to be delivered and a request to have it sent to another location which I offer but to customer service because the number given was fake. Only to find out it’s been here for two weeks. They destroyed it!

I am so angry. I was expecting a delivery today which involved sensitive electronics. The box they were shipped in was clearly marked as such. I would not be home, so I left a note up clearly stating the electronics were to be left in the mudroom external to the house. Instead, when I came home they had been stacked in the snow next to the door. When I emailed them, the response was quick, but it was a useless form letter. I will never use a company that ships UPS again. They obviously cannot be trusted with sensitive materials.

I ordered a package one week ago that was supposed to arrive today by UPS. My package arrived at UPS this morning and then instead of delivering to my house they transferred it to the post office which takes another 1-2 days (perhaps longer with the speed of our p.o). I'm frustrated because I ordered a coat and it is freezing cold weather here and I would like to have my coat when they said it would be here-- not have to wait another few days after I was expecting my package.

I went to a UPS store on Oakland Park in Ft Lauderdale Florida with a 71 Piece Set of rare China, 14 Piece Place Serving Set. Paid them to wrap and ship set to California. My customer received 2 boxes of China, but was missing 14 coffee cups! When I heard this I was so upset as the cost $100s of dollars to wrap and ship, and the now complete set of China is no set at all, so really worthless, to my customer. I believe the 14 Cups were stolen at the UPS Store location.
I am now dealing with the aggravation of filing a claim with UPS on this. When arriving at store to send out the China I was told I did not have to wait to watch them wrap and box it up, so I thought alright I declared the value that I charged my customer and insured the shipment. The UPS gave me a receipt of items that were being sent and what they told me a tracking number to which they circled, well it was just a item number I found out and not until the customer received the shipment of the partial set did I ever know the tracking #. Be very aware as to these UPS stores there is definitely internal theft.
