Absolutely appalling service. Paid £32 for a large parcel collecting from my work address and delivered by 6 pm next day. They never came for parcel. I rang (after struggling to find a number/department) next day several times and emailed eventually got a manager who then wanted an extra fee to arrange collection. They were no help, no apologies or offer to sort problem ended up cancelling and giving my customer money back causing me 3 hours wasted time and loss of a sale.

A package (documents - 1lb) sent to me were via 3-day select Lufkin, Texas to Salt Lake City. Did not honor the requested, and paid for delivery option (as referenced in the UPS provided tracking information). Per UPS tracking information, the package was received by UPS from the shipper on May 9th in Lufkin, Texas. On May 12th, I received notification that the package was still in Texas (Vernon, Texas) and that delivery to Salt Lake City would be May 16th. Following up with UPS customer support, I was informed that it was being delivered via truck to Salt Lake, thus the date of May 16th. When I asked them why it wasn't being sent via 3-day select as contracted and UPS documented, customer support could not provide an answer and didn't seem to really care that UPS had made an error. I am traveling and would be leaving Salt Lake before the 16th. This is why it was sent 3-day select in the first place.
After several hours on the phone and subsequently having to escalate to a supervisor (I had to strongly insist this escalation over customer support objections saying that they could not do anything), I have been verbally assured that it will be re-directed to a location where I will be for a few days following May 16th, however no details have been provided to me. No apologies have been forthcoming from UPS and this has caused serious delays to me as the documents in the package are time sensitive. I had to pay for this 3-day select service ($30) to the shipper who I believe will be requesting a refund to my account with them.
I have been using UPS for many years, with several deliveries a month. It was very difficult for me to get a live UPS customer support person on the telephone. The customer support telephone number provided on your web page is merely an automated attendant and did not allow the option to speak to a live person. I did eventually find a "back door" means to talk to a live person. Your UPS Chat Support was unavailable Friday early in the afternoon. Based on these experiences, it is obvious that UPS does not take your customer support function seriously. Moving ahead in the future, your lack of concern supports using FedEx.

I ordered a toddler bed set from Amazon for my daughter and as usual the delivery process was the most irritating part of this transaction. I missed the first delivery attempt, the second time they must have just left a slip in the door and left because no one EVER rang the doorbell or knocked. For the 3rd attempt I had my husband stay home to make sure we did not miss it and sure enough I received an email (this time no slip at all) stating I missed another delivery.
I called the 800 number to complain and see how they would be able to accommodate me, I was promised a call within 1 hour but nobody called. I decided to call them back 20 minutes past the time I was promised a call from the UPS Delivery Center and I still had to wait for them to call me back. After a total of 2 hours someone from the UPS Delivery Center called and said they would send the driver back with my packages. I was highly upset to be called downstairs when he arrived because they were just "passing by" and my husband had to carry a mattress and other items to the 4th floor because of their mishap. I'm extremely disappointed in the service I was provided and think they should carefully revise the hiring process for delivery drivers because it is obvious these people are careless and lazy.

My package was supposed to be delivered to my house and was not. UPS decide to drop it off at a drop point. I called to ask the Customer Service Rep and spoke with Andrew **. I stated why wouldn't UPS come back for second attempt and someone was home at the first attempt. The way the Customer Service Rep spoke was out of order and rude. I express my concern to him and told him he will not speak to me like that. I stated that my package shouldn't be at a corner store, customer service that in such a tone I honestly tune him out and ask when could my package be delivered. CSR was just rude. I asked for his information and hung up.

On May 5, 2017 I ordered a item under a pound to from an online company in North Carolina to be shipped to eastern TN. The company indicated the package was shipped that day and would be delivered on Monday 8 May 2017. They sent me the tracking number that allowed me to track the package. On Monday I checked the UPS website and found the package was delivered to the UPS distribution center about an hour from my home but the package was being delivered to North Carolina for some reason. I called UPS and talk to a nice person for 38 minutes and she worked with the distribution center and said the package has been intercepted and it would be delivered on Tuesday 9 May 2017. Within 30 minutes I received two more phone calls confirming the address was correct in Tennessee and insuring the package would be deliver the next day.
On Tuesday I again check the UPS website and found that the package had in fact not been intercepted but was sent to NC and that delivery would now be on Thursday 11 May. I again call the UPS service rep and they had no information on this and was unwilling to help to resolve the situation and said the package would be delivered on Thursday. On Wed, 10 May I again checked the UPS website, found the delivered now has been pushed out until Friday 12 May 2017. I have decided that it is a waste of time to call them again and will just have to wait for the incompetent people at UPS to figure this out. The best they can do now is take 7 days to complete a 2 day shipping requirement going from one state NC to a neighboring state of Tennessee. I understand that they can lose a package but to be unable to provided correct information to a customer and quickly correct the issue is totally unacceptable for a large well run company.

I complained, money was refunded by where I bought it from. Few days later one of my neighbors, that were on vacation, brought the package to my house. I contacted all parties involved and returned the item to where I bought it. UPS told me that I would need to sign for all future packages. I complained that they made the mistake and accused me at being at fault. Now they will no longer ship to me, which doesn't bother me a bit, I lost nothing but dealing with a company will terrible customer service.

I have been waiting for a package that was shipped on April 24th and have yet to receive it. It has been tossed around between multiple facilities. I called customer service, on May 5th, I was told that they would have someone call me, within an hour from the facility where the package was with. No one called, I called again and was told the same exact thing. No one called me. Monday, May 8th, another delayed delivery notification was added to tracking, this is the 6th delayed delivery notification because they keep moving the package to different locations. Absolutely horrible!

I had 5 parcels sent from the UK and to have it delivered to Saudi Arabia, they originally said it would take 5 days. It's been over 2 weeks now and nothing! Flipping idiots. They keep on changing the schedule date for no reason. On top of that their customer service is useless. When you make a complaint they say that it's out of their control. And give me the runaround. First my parcels were stuck in the UK for a week. So just sitting and nobody taking any notice. They have all my details, so they could have gotten in contact with me. Then my parcels were sent bit by bit to Saudi Arabia, so not all in one go. Why I haven't a clue! And now my parcels are going around the whole country except for the city it's suppose to go. They are BAD, TERRIBLE, RIDICULOUS, NOT A GOOD COMPANY and to top it all off they don't have the courtesy to offer a refund for the trouble they've put me through. I would suggest to anyone that they stay away from UPS.

I don't know what the deal is with UPS, I was disappointed when I chose the 2-day shipping, and it showed it would be more than that when my package arrived (6 days to be exact). Then I got excited when it had changed to a day earlier, well guess I was glad for nothing, because it still hasn't arrived. I guess UPS does not care about their customers.

I love that UPS is using access points. I don't have to worry about changing my work schedule in order to receive a package or missing deliveries. The access points in my area are convenient and have long operating hours, including weekends. I honestly don't understand why anybody's upset about this massive improvement!

Both the UPS webpage and the smartphone app gave me COMPLETELY FALSE and misleading information about the delivery of a package, after PUSHING notification of when the package would be delivered. After tremendous difficulty and tedious wasted time on hold, two employees, Danny and Sarah, gave me useless excuses and completely unsatisfactory answers as to why the online information was COMPLETELY FALSE!!! I would much prefer that UPS give no information than the pretentious display of information that is COMPLETELY FALSE and misleading. A lot of my time was wasted today by this abusive behavior, and to top it off, the company's representatives made it quite clear that they could not care less. The acronym UPS is hereby revised: UPS stands for "Useless Piece of **."

UPS is the worst ever when it comes to package deliveries. For two days now I have been home waiting for an important package to get delivered to my apartment and both days the driver never ring my doorbell and did not leave any notices. What is so messed up was, on the first delivery attempt the driver delivered a package to another apartment in the same building I live in, but failed to deliver my package. I received a call from the facility after the first attempt and was promised to get my package delivered the same night, but the driver never showed up. The company have incompetent and lazy people working for them. Even the supervisor do not care. They do not even deserve one star because they are so terrible.

This is the worst delivery company around. In the last 18 months all but 2 packages out of 10 to 15 so were delivered up to 4 days late. When I checked the tracking online the drivers would put in the comments that no one was there to accept the package or they could not find the location. When I called customer service they apologized. Told me I could drive to their hub 20 miles away and pick it up myself the next day or that it would be a couple of days before they could reattempt delivery. I ended losing my temper after hours of arguing with these worthless agent and managers for hours and once even for 3 days before they would get a manager from the local hub to call me back. I now have that number and call them directly.
After one of these events they agreed to send a driver to fix their mistake within the hour. I went back to packing my orders enjoying the nice weather with the warehouse doors open. After 45 minutes I hear the truck coming. I watch as he drive by my warehouse. I go to the door shocked and amazed as I watch him drive by going the back out the way he came in. Drove by 3 cars in front of my warehouse doors wide open with me standing in it. When I called the hub back they said he could not find me. He drove by twice no more than 40 feet from me in broad daylight. The latest outrage is I shipped a package worth $400. They damage the package in transit and refuse to pay for it and I even paid the extra for the insurance. Worst yet they still charged me for the shipping. They do just as if it was a late package it's not their fault blame me.
I will now spend the extra money to ship by any other service. The 2 other damage incident I have had with USPS and FedEx 1 each all it took was one phone call. They were polite, friendly and fixed the problem while I was on the phone. I received a check within a week from both. I have also never had to call either and explain how to find me, ask when my pack will be delivered or had any excuses about how I would have to wait or go to the hub to pick up my package. UPS almost every time. Only 2 good experiences out of them all. Not worth the aggravation.

UPS seems to be the least reliable or dependable of all the various delivery services, such as the U.S. Postal Service or FedEx, for the many products I purchase online. Businesses should carefully look at other means of getting their products delivered to the buying public, which should be explained to the customers (i.e. "We use the MOST reliable delivery services to get your ordered products to you with as few problems as is possible, even if it costs us a few cents more.")

I ordered package on the April 19, 2017. The original delivery day was April 27, 2017. It is very important package for me and I made my plans around the date of arrival. During the process of the shipment from US to Canada, the delivery date was changed to April 28, 2017. It was inconvenient, but I rearranged my plans. I scheduled to stay from work on that day to wait for delivery. On April 28 about 1pm, package status change to: On local truck. About 7pm I started been concerned and called UPS Canada. I talked to the employee Ash (ID: **). Ash said to me that due to the high volume of packages the delivery times extended from 7pm to 8pm, but I guaranteed to get my package today. I changed my plans for the evening and stayed home to wait for package.
At 8:40pm I gave a call to UPS again and talked to employee Shela (ID: **). She told me clearly, that the package will be delivered today without doubt. At about 11pm, I understood that all the above promises are not going happened and I called again. This time I had to call UPS International, because UPS Canada was closed for the weekend. I talked to employee Alan (ID: **). All his answers were including words probably, likely. He was not able to provide decisive and clear answer in regards to what happened to my package, where it was, and when I am going to receive it. He said that PROBABLY on Monday only. During entire time between 1:30 pm and 12am the online status of my package was on local truck. After midnight it suddenly changed to in transit with delivery on Monday, May 1, 2017.
As you can see the following inconveniences were caused to me by UPS: Original delivery date was changed today later, which required rearrangement of plans. I had to cancel day at work to wait for package home. This package never arrived on that day. I stayed home entire day without been able to leave anywhere. It was supposed to happened latest at 7pm (according to UPS website). Do I need to take a day off work on Monday again??? What if package will not arrive again? I have ordered 6 items in the past year that have unfortunately been delivered via UPS. I have yet to get one of those packages on time. There is always a delay for one reason or another and when you call to ask what they will do for you they tell you nothing. Next day air means next week, you pay $50 or more for a package to be delivered the next day and do not get it for a week. They seem to have lots of equipment issues. That cause late deliveries and tell you they cannot do anything about it and will NOT refund your money! Once you do get your package you are lucky if it is in good condition. I am pretty sure their employees kick the packages around and throw them onto the truck.
Don't bother asking for a signature, that does not matter to them. They will leave your $2,000.00 package on your front door with no signature and if you call to say something, they will tell you, "Well luckily your package was still there." USPS has faster shipments and better customer service and tracking than UPS. If you are buying something request FedEx for your shipment!

On April 20th, I received an email from UPS Quantum View about a package that was being delivered to me for a very valuable item. The package delivery required a signature in order for the delivery to be completed. The delivery date was set for April 25th, so I planned to take the day off of work in order to sign for the package and prevent the need to make a 20 mile trip to the distribution center to pick up my package in person.
The day passed and no package was delivered. At around 5:40 PM I checked the UPS website for a delivery status and saw that the UPS driver indicated that the first delivery attempt had been made and that no one was home. I was furious because I was home and my doorbell had never rung and there was no door tag indicating the delivery attempt. The driver had gone to the wrong address!! My house number matches a house number of a house two blocks away with a different street name. NOTE: I had walked past the home with the same house number and sure enough, there was the delivery notice hanging on their door for my package.
I called the customer service number to report this incident and after negotiating the horrible auto-attendant which makes you feel like an idiot for even thinking that UPS could be at fault, I managed to reach a UPS agent (working at a call center in the Philippines). I told the UPS agent what had happened and he was very sympathetic, I had also told the agent that there was no way I could take another day to sit around and wait for this delivery so I could sign for it. He told me that he would contact the distribution center and that should receive a call from them within an hour.
After about an hour and a half and no call I called back in and reached another agent. He told me that the complaint was logged at 5:47 PM and that the distribution closed at 6:00 PM. He told me that I would receive a call in the morning. This did not improve my attitude about UPS after being told one thing and getting something different. The next morning at about 9:45 AM I had still not received a call from UPS so I called back in to see what was going on with my delivery. The agent I reached informed me that my package was put back on another truck and was out for delivery. Hello, is nobody listening!!!
I had informed both agents the day before that I could not take another day off to sign for a package. I asked the agent that I was speaking with this next morning, does UPS expect me to drive 20 miles to pick up a package that they were paid to deliver, because of their screw up??? I told him that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. After being transferred to a supervisor and repeating my story, I was told that she would contact the distribution center and find out why I had not been called and that I would receive a call from the distribution. Two hours later, still no call, I check the status of my delivery and saw the message "package delivered". I was horrified, there was a very valuable item sitting on my front porch unattended!!!
This is not the first time UPS has delivered or attempted to deliver a package to the wrong address for me and I am sure it won't be the last. What is really the point of this review is that when UPS does something wrong they are horrible at rectifying a problem when it has occurred. I don't think they care. In fairness, I have had problems with FEDEX delivering to the wrong address, the difference with FEDEX is that they will try to make a special delivery or they have multiple smaller distribution centers located around the city making it a much shorter drive to pick thing up in person.

Tonight, I contacted UPS via a chat function on its site about the fact my missing package showed it was delivered at the front desk and signed by Jones. I live in a house on a dead-end street nowhere near a hotel or motel. UPS' customer service person responded to my request/complaint. She told me that the package was properly delivered in spite of the fact I can prove my house doesn't have a front desk and no one named "Jones" lives with my husband, me, and our cats. There are no hotels or motels on my road. Next, she told me that I should call the hotels in the area to try to find my package. I was not about to contact the dozens of hotels in our town much less the thousands of hotels/motels in the metropolitan area.
Think about it. If my package had been delivered properly, why would I have to call all the hotels in the area to find it? That was a very stupid suggestion. I told her, "No." Then she told me that this was actually a problem for my shipper and to let them take care of it. The shipper didn't lose it; UPS did. However, I had already done that but this is not the first time we've had UPS misdeliver packages and we are fed up with this nonsense. I wish I had a copy of that chat. Ordered something online. Found out it was being delivered today, so I waited. Saw the truck drive by. Checked online and it said, "Delivered". So I went to this delivery address, not knowing these people, and they were not home. Package was. I responded to an advert on eBay. I bought a pair of top grade Bowers and Wilkins Hi Fi Speakers. They were hardly used and in mint condition. The seller lived in the Midlands near Rugby. A 5 Hour round trip by car. I decided to have them collected by courier. I wanted a proper professional organisation. I thought the Brown and Gold van of UPS was iconic and could be trusted. I opened an account and arranged for the speakers to be delivered to my home in Poole Dorset. On unpacking them I was devastated to discover that both were damaged. The front baffle on one was smashed and both of them had damage to the cabinets. There were broken bits of the baffle inside the packaging. It was clear that the damage had been done in transit. The packaging on the badly damaged unit had a huge dent in it clearly showing that care had not been taken in handling it.
I reported the damage by calling the contact customer services number. I was told to replace the speakers in the original packaging and they would be collected by a driver for examination at the depot. This is the incomprehensible bit. I was told that the speakers would be returned to the seller and he would receive the compensation payment If it was decided that there was a case for recompense. I pointed out that I had paid for the speakers. I owned them. I had opened the UPS Account to have them shipped and I had paid for the shipping. They didn't listen. I was told that was the system and if I was to proceed I needed to follow the instructions. We repacked the speakers in the original packaging. That was not easy. We were excited when we received them and ripped open the boxes not realising we would need to re-use them.
We told UPS that we could wait in for collection on Tuesday morning not Monday as we were both out all day. They called on Monday! Tuesday morning we waited in. I called them to ensure we were listed for a morning collection. They said it could be anytime during the day! The driver arrived in the morning shortly after we called them. Wonderful I thought but my joy was short lived. "Which one of these am I to take?" he asked. "Well both. They are a matched pair" was my reply. "I have only got a ticket for one" was the reply. After my nervous breakdown We explained what we had been instructed to do by the man on the Phone. He was a nice chap the driver and he said in view of the circumstances he would take them both. I am still wondering if I will ever see my money or those speakers ever again. I have phoned them repeatedly. I have sent emails and I am seething with frustration.
If you buy anything on eBay make sure you go and collect it personally. I could have walked from Poole to Rugby and back in less time than I have spent on this issue. There is still the inspection result to await and then if they decide to compensate me. They are still as far as I am aware hell bent on sending it to the man I have paid. They are a complete shower and not to be trusted.

I thought it would be delivered the next day (Saturday), but the next business day is actually Monday, so now I have to wait even longer for my package. I checked the tracking information since I finally realized the tracking info Best Buy gave me was for UPS's website (since the tracking info Best Buy provided me with was incorrect), and then I found out that it was left at a UPS access point. I thought, "Great! Today is Saturday, let me go pick up my package and then all will be right." Not so.
The place wasn't open at half-past 5 on a Saturday. WTF, what kind of hours are these? What if I work on the weekdays and have to pick my package up on the weekend, this is incredibly inconvenient. I don't even know if they're open tomorrow because their hours were posted in Spanish, but not English. So I'm going to go tomorrow and they might not even be open, which means I'll waste even more time. Then on Monday, if no one is able to answer the door for me and sign for my package, I have to start this headache all over again. WHY!? Why can't you just leave my package at the door?! From now on, I'd rather pay extra shipping charges to avoid having UPS handle my packages.

I am way passed angry! I have tracked my packages every single time and always stay home to wait for them! I've had so so many problems with UPS ripping my packages aka my property opened and stolen. I've have packages thrown on my sidewalk and busted while driver waves as he leaves! I have many more horror stories about UPS! What am I doing so wrong? I pay for my things and pay for shipping to receive my packages in a proper manner! Today, I've been waiting since 6:30 a.m. and my package was tracked from that time and it was only 10 mins away, yet I'm sitting here at 11:30 p.m. and watched the driver drive right by my house and looked right at me!!! What? I have my porch light on, lawn light on, front door open and I was standing on my front steps!!! I just stood there in disbelief while this idiot drives by me!!
I have about 6 packages on that truck and I paid to have them delivered so why won't he deliver them?? "Lazy" and it's way too late to be delivering anyway! It's not even legal where I am!! I waited anyway because I tracked it and it said out for delivery. The driver did not need my signature to deliver either. So I called UPS and told them what happened and they said, "Oh, I'm so sorry, the faculty is closed to which he works from so you have to wait until Monday!" I said, "What? Come again? Did I just hear you say I have to wait for Monday?" She says, "Yes!" That's when I blew a gasket! How dare this company? How dare they? There is no way to contact the driver, no way to contact his employer, no way to track this truck that just drove by my home yet the faculty is closed. Putting the gun to my head because I feel so defeated living on this planet in 2017!
I just can't take it anymore. What if my mother's heart medications were on that delivery and she needs to take that medication? This is unacceptable! I'm taking this a few steps higher than just leaving a review and being the 1000,000 customer to post one. I'm taking them to court. I've had enough and no one is doing a thing about this company and UPS must be held accountable for these horrible things they have been doing to us, not to mention two UPS drivers coming back and stealing my neighbor's packages that they just delivered ten mins before! I filmed this entire thing because I now record the ups drivers as they pull up because of how they have destroyed my packages/Property other times so I always do now so I have proof! I recommend every one to do this! You can't get anything done today without proof.
I just got a notification at 11:46 p.m. while I', typing this and it says, wait for it... "Second attempt to deliver"!!! Lol am I in the twilight zone??? How did that happen when no one drove by? I'm sitting right in my front window! Ugh, I am so ** off!??? Ups should not have drivers blowing past anyone's house at midnight anyway! What is that? It's not the holiday season so... Huh? I hate hate hate UPS! I despise that company like no other! Please someone, anyone, do something about this! Another thing, a ups driver killed a family of baby birds on my sidewalk last year, 2016! Disgusting. They were flattened like little pancakes!!! I cried my eyes out!! This company needs to be accountable for all the bad they do. We as customers should never have to go through this, ever!

On April 18, 2017 a box was delivered to my door on the stated Amazon arrival date for that particular item. However, there was nothing in the box and the bottom of the box was torn open with bubble wrap hanging out the bottom corner. The outside of the box was labeled with two large yellow labels stating "HEAVY. Handle with care". Upon reviewing my camera recording - I can see the delivery guy carrying the box; holding it by one corner, with one hand, with no effort at all. He dropped the package, rang the doorbell and then walked back to his truck. Clearly he saw the two yellow signs but ignored the warning.
That was bad enough -- when I discovered the empty box I called UPS Customer Service line and reported what had taken place. I was told they would contact the local UPS office and report the incident and someone would call me back within 30 minutes to an hour. After waiting an hour and a half, I called UPS Customer Service again and repeated my dilemma. The young lady repeated the first message, that I would get a callback within 30 minutes to an hour. She also stated that I should contact Amazon. It is 3:40 pm on April 19, 2017 and I have not received a call from anyone at UPS. NOTE: I did contact Amazon and they were extremely friendly and helpful regarding my purchase. UPS failed terribly on delivery and customer service...

I wouldn't recommend anybody to use UPS as I have been waiting for a collection two days and they never came. Every time I call I need to wait for a very slow machine and the advisors don't have information or have wrong information (that contradict from one to another), yesterday they told me that my collection was cancelled and today they told me that they came at 5 (and this is not true as I was here, but the window - a 5 hours window - they gave me, was until 3:00). I am very surprised a company so disorganise could become so big and of course, I wouldn't recommend anybody to use it if they value their time and don't want to be waiting for anything during days. I also would feel ashamed of working in a so incompetent environment.

I'm being told that since I sent my merchandise via The UPS Store, I have to contact the store because it isn't one with UPS. To sum it up, I have paid UPS a nice sum of money to lose half of my items and deliver the rest damaged. To top it off, I had to deal with rude customer service reps. I was notified that the document would be delivered on Thursday and that it needed a signature. I waited until 10 PM and then changed delivery location to a UPS site because I didn't want to wait all day for nothing again. I then learned that it takes 1-2 additional days to change the drop-off location. They should say that on their web page. I also learned by calling UPS that the document was never even in my city. The updates regarding delivery are automatically made and may not be accurate.
My package got misdirected from a location that was 50 miles away to another state entirely. To make my deadline I reordered the document and again paid for 2-day shipping. The original and the replacement documents both showed up today. The first one was 5 days late. In order to get reimbursed for postage on the late document I have to contact the business (not UPS). It's not worth people's time to deal with this. I did get the document in time for my deadline, but I am steamed.

If I could give a zero I would. So as a college student funds are tight and I do my best to make do with what I can. I decided to sell my textbooks back for cash (a common thing). If you've been a college student or a parent of one you know that college books and other fees are EXPENSIVE. So I have a mix of Science, Italian and Business textbooks and I decided to sell them back to Chegg. (I've sold to them before and this was my biggest order, which is important for this.) After a week I start to get a little skeptical; I contact Chegg asking did they receive my package and when will I be receiving my money. (Their response is they never received it, but when they do I'll receive my payment.) OK? So then I go to UPS. So I log in every day and track the package and it's been in the same state for WEEKS. Basically MIA.
I contacted customer service and filed a claim as a lost package and basically they were looking for it. I wait a couple days and contact them again and say, "Hey is there any progress?" Basically their response is "it's lost and we can't find it." Ok, well as a business it's your responsibility to find it as I trusted to you to send MY packages to the location that I asked. That aspect and I do need that money for bills. I checked in with Chegg to make sure they didn't receive anything, I submitted my paperwork for my claim saying that my package was lost and check my response religiously. Still nothing. I track it online and it's still the same info. I call for my package. They told me the same thing that I read online. Useless. So I contact them again and "we found damaged packages, filed a claim." I already filed a claim! So I now I have to file a damage claim because before it was a lost package claim.
Now about 2 months in with this ** I contact them again and nothing, so then I waited another week (Lots and lots of waiting with UPS) and still checking online. Then I contact them again saying my statuses on my claim(s) were the same, is there any update? AND NO ANSWER/NOTHING. After all that heartache, I was out $400 and just ** pissed off. (I guess it sucks that I'm out that cash and that it's my fault even though I tried.)
UPS you are running a business and people TRUST you with their items. Someone lied. Someone either opened my package and re-sold my stuff, they threw it out, didn't care or Chegg lied. (I doubt this one because I've done business with them before/after this incident and this was the only time that something like this happened.) Beyond unprofessional. I tell any business, family and friends not to use UPS and I swear by FedEx.

I cried when I saw the crushed carton abandoned in front of my garage, with the silver saddle horn protruding out of the corner of the box on that bitterly cold December 21st day. It appears as though the saddle was on its side and something was dropped on top of it. It gets better folks. When Pete's Custom Saddlery of Pembroke, Kentucky (he'll also be getting one star here) brought the saddle into Store 3953 to have it professionally packed and shipped to me after he had charged me $1,075 for restoration and shipping, he REFUSED to put additional insurance or declare any value over $100 despite the historical value of this saddle. Ted Flowers was the Saddlemaker to the Stars and each of the 500 saddles made in his lifetime were unique and original.
According to a statement made by store 3953 manager "Tammy". "The saddle was placed in a 26x26x20 in box, weighing thirty pounds and the box was filled with air packs, bubble wrap and taped." Somewhere along the line, the box reduced its length and width to 25.5x25.5x25.5 in., shed itself of any and all packing materials, and sprouted 5' of nylon cord with which it managed to tie itself together inside a box! I don't think Harry Houdini could've done a better job of escaping its carton en route to home and jumping inside a new one only to get crushed.
I immediately called UPS Damage Claims (btw, they're harder to find than my ex-husband). I obtained a copy of the package tracking, at no point during its transit was there any notation, comment etc. that my saddle was damaged, jumped into a new box, taped itself shut and went on its merry way only to get crushed further down the line. Oh, I almost forgot, my saddle also lost a significant weight when it was shipped. From 40# to 30#. When I called the UPS Depot at Madison to complain, the manager on duty informed me, "[she] spoke with the driver, he did note the damage and thought he should maybe bring it back to the depot for inspection but decided to leave it at your home. You know you can refuse shipment, right?". I told her this is not about a botched Amazon order. I am the owner of record of this piece of history, a piece of history that the restorer, Pete Harry, neglected to declare a value for or insure.
I then insisted with Jennifer from UPS Damage claims in my call to them on 12/21/16, an inspection at my residence. On the tracking detail for this package, an entry dated 12/21/16 at 4:57 PM it states, "We've scheduled an inspection of the damaged contents and packaging. We'll provider the sender (who is not the owner) with the results." I called UPS damage claims on 12/23/16 and was told, "there's no need for an inspection. A claim has already been started. Just put your phone through the hole in the box and take pictures of the damage. When I informed her that there was absolutely NO WAY to document the full extent of the damage in that manner, "Jennifer" instructed me to open the box, photograph the packaging, BMC stamp (44 lbs).
As I did, I was in tears. There was no packaging to speak of in that box and the saddle was tied together with 5' of nylon cord. The saddle horn, which bears Ted Flowers' signature, was dented in many places, the silver panels and horse heads on the fenders and skirt of the saddle were bent and creased and it had been tied/crushed so tightly, that the hand tooled floral panels sustained deep, irreparable, rope burns. The new fleece underside was torn from the front corner. When I informed Jennifer that there was no packaging, she was incredulous. I took 50+ photos of the box and damage. Ever try to upload damage photos, however compressed to the UPS Damage Claims website? Good Luck!! I couldn't even get 1 photo at a time to upload to their site!
I made multiple requests for a physical inspection due to the extent of the damage. UPS did start the claims process. I was told to obtain a repair estimate for the saddle. Unfortunately, there are VERY few parade saddle experts (Pete Harry is NOT one of them) in the US. The closest to me was Loon Creek Leather in Huntington, IN. The cost of repairable items, since some of this damage cannot be repaired without destroying the historical value of this item, was over $1,000. The conservative devaluation estimate was $650. The cost to drive back and forth from SC Wisconsin to NE Indiana to drop off and pick up the saddle because there's no way I would entrust this again to UPS, was nearly $800. Not to mention all my time. So what did I get from UPS Store 3953 last week? A check for $179.40.
While they accepted a miniscule amount of responsibility in paying the claim, they were grossly negligent in the handling of this item which clearly broke out of its original packaging and then some brown clown along the line decided to throw it in a bigger box, tie it together tightly with nylon cord. The vast majority of saddles, especially the heavily tooled and silver adorned ones, are made of leather. Leather is animal hide (I don't think I should state the obvious here, but...). You can't tie a hide up with nylon cord and NOT expect for it to sustain rope burns. Likewise, the rule of thumb, if it looks expensive, it most likely IS. UPS is negligent in that UPS and/or its agents or representatives, failed to exercise due care, failed to document damage, even though the delivery driver professed knowledge of the damage.
It's interesting to note that I've taken my newly repaired possession to at least 3 different UPS stores, each time receiving vastly different professional packaging and insurance/declared value quotes. At one UPS Store, I found an honest employee. I brought the saddle, box and rope in and stated kindly, "Ma'am I believe someone has lied to you. I wouldn't risk shipping that item back for an estimate or repairs via UPS since it may void your claim for damages because they didn't physically inspect it." I took her advice, spent 13-1/2 hours on two Saturdays to ensure the saddle's safe transit to Bob Glessner at Loon Creek Leather and back. Bob gets 5 stars for the yeoman's job he put into saving this beauty. I have made two requests now for the name and mailing address of UPS Store 3953's owners and the name and address for United Parcel Service Legal Department. Nothing thus far...

I tracked using their website and stated it will be for delivery on next business day (END of Day), so I say Okay because it's end of day so probably around 5 pm - 7 pm.
I tried many times to pay the COD online and it never allowed me. 2nd day, I was surprised on the website that 12:30 pm the driver already went to our house and failed 2nd attempt. So I did a request online to deliver it to my workplace address as neighbor since there was no option for another address. 3rd day, I was shocked again, they've done final attempt already at 2:30 pm as they went to our house while me waiting at my workplace. Never did I receive any call from them so I called them so mad. I paid my COD and they said to deliver the package on the next day. I asked the agent, "by the way, What is end of the day means to UPS?" Agent said: it's between 9 am - 7 pm... me answered: Whhhaaatttt???
Now 4th day: With my high hopes that I could receive my package this time, but I was surprised to see the online tracking that stated the receiver has moved to new address and will contact the receiver... oh my God!!! Does anyone at UPS care that they are losing customers. I can't help but think all of these employees that work for UPS and don't give a crap how they are going to feed their family after UPS folds. Maybe corporate will also learn a lesson. Ups we made you, we can break you??? You can't screw people for long they will ban together. I know I will not get my package so I give up. I'll ask who's the shipping company next time. BTW if you ask Amazon will use FedEx only I say let's show ups notice lower case ups. Let's give them an attitude adjustment. They need it.
Updated 04/08/2017: Well we did get our package But! The package was cut open with a clean cut razor knife and all the small parts missing. Isn't that strange?

I have ordered items online multiple times and have NEVER had an experience like this. I place an order with fromyouflowers.com who uses UPS to deliver. After paying extra for next day delivery, I had yet received my package two days later (orders on Wednesday still hadn't received on Friday). I contacted UPS and they did not know where the package was located. My information was taken and I received a call back 2 hours later stating the zip code entered was incorrect. It was corrected and to be delivered the following Monday.
Monday comes and no package. I contact UPS and they state the receiver's name was incorrect despite having the exact name I was giving them. The same issue occurred again on Tuesday. I called again, left my information, but no callback. On Wednesday, I got a message stating it was delivered but I hadn't received the package. When I contact UPS this time, I was told by the supervisor that they CHANGE the address to one they thought was correct because they were not sure of the zip code and delivered it there. Obviously, the address was wrong with completely new name. The supervisor said he'd send the delivery driver to the get the package from the incorrect address and redeliver. WAIT for WHAT? JUST POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Completely absurd!

After an extremely frustrating 24 hours dealing with this organization and their immense screw up I am reporting this issue on here as well. On March 13th 2017 I thoroughly pack and ship a fiberglass panel for a Corvette to a customer in Florida. Fees charged by UPS for GROUND shipping including $500 insured item value was 151.63 USD. On March 20th 2017, customer received the package damaged and the Corvette panel crushed. Customer immediately contacted me and also UPS to file a claim. I also contacted UPS as well since I was the sender of the packet. UPS comes to my customer's shop to pick up that package for a supposedly "inspection" without saying anything to me nor my customer about what was going to happen after the item was pick up. No news from UPS since, and each call to UPS to inquire about this ended up in the same “your packet is under investigation. We cannot tell you more about this now” way.
Today, March 28th 2017 my customer call me stating that UPS is shipping the panel back to me for some unknown reason. I call UPS right away, and after spending many hours on the phone with different employees and then managers, I have been told that it was the normal procedure to return the packet to the original sender, and they cannot return it to my customer. Their return info even state "A request was made by either the sender or the receiver to return the shipment." Neither me nor my customer requested any return.
I wanted this item to be back to my customer after the inspection period is over, since he runs a car body shop and could have easily fixed the damages on the Corvette panel, which was a rare car part to get to begin with so was worth the repair. All UPS manager I had on the phone refused to help me to get this shipment back to my customer. It was just the same "too bad, it's too late now and the packet is already on its way back" answer.
At this point I STILL haven't received any information concerning that opened damages claim. Only left with the tracking stating the packet was sent back to me. So I called again UPS to ask about this, and finally after another "please hold, I am going to transfer you" never ending game with a few employees, I finally managed to make someone send me an email with the claim status. I was extremely disappointed to see that my claim for damages was refused for the following reason "The used, non-US, single-wall, corrugated shipping container was not sufficient to protect the merchandise".
I have a store on Amazon & eBay with 100% positive feedback on both places. I regularly sell online and pack/ship since +10 years now. I have learned how to pack correctly and always do so since the beginning, and never had any problem before, neither with UPS, FedEx or even USPS whom are well known for damaging or losing packages. So I am sorry but I DO know how to pack properly. And YES my box came from a US shop as well! My only mistake there was to use the services of UPS, a company I thought were professional and more careful about their shipment. My bad.
I am reporting this now as well to: California Department of Business Oversight, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Better Business Bureau. I am going to file a "small claim" in court as well against UPS following my attorney's advice. I am also contacting all news & media channels that I know of, and which could be interested by this story. I am at this point REALLY DETERMINATE to get this issue solved the right way, and I am willing to do all it takes to do so. They charged me 151.63 USD for a service they didn't provide correctly nor want to honor now, and all they are doing now is returning me the packet (probably even more damaged), leaving me with a loss of $651.63, and with a definitely NOT happy customer as well.

So I have been having problems with UPS for about a year on Saturday deliveries. I have all the corporate and local emails for all the top people. My business is part of a franchise with 900 locations and we are in the top 5 in revenue so needless to say we are not a small client for UPS and we also get a discount through our corporate so that's why we use them. I shipped a package on a Thursday to Denver overnight for one of my top clients who do about a million a year in sales with us. Needless to say it didn't get there Friday. It never left the hub in Baltimore. I spoke to all my reps including corporate Friday and asked for the package back twice so I can relabel it for Sat delivery. I was told it's handled no less than 3 times. We have it set for Sat delivery.
I woke up Saturday and the package was in Kentucky from Saturday 6am eastern time. I was assured by multiple people that it is going to deliver. I was out to dinner Sat night. I received a text from my local rep stating the package would not get delivered. I had to call around to 4 places in Denver, had the job reprinted and had my wife's cousin who lives there deliver the package at 11:30 pm eastern time.
Not only did UPS just completely change their story on Monday which they have all the calls recorded I asked for a specific color amount for my time and they refused. I asked to speak to the boss and this is not the first time I have asked for him and I was basically told he is too busy for people like me!!! There is a ton more to this story that I could go on for days about but I will save that. If any lawyers are out there and wish to contact me I believe I have a very solid case against UPS probably like no other. They answer to no one and no one holds them accountable. They are the absolute worst and will keep stealing the consumer's money until there is something done about it!!!

I hate this company. Let me repeat that with an exclamation point: I hate this company!! As everyone who posts on this site knows, they are incompetent, mean-spirited and arrogant. It's their way or the highway. But beware. If you ever file a complaint about an undelivered package, they will increase the arrogance and meanness tenfold. And God forbid that you should expect any courtesy from them.
Awhile back I signed in blood that if they left packages on my front doorstep, I would not hold them responsible (even when they were). I requested the simple courtesy of ringing my doorbell when they left a package so I would be alerted. This tiny customer courtesy the driver simply would not do. Since I was expecting prescription drugs to be delivered today, last evening I participated in a "chat" session as well as a phone call asking them to please, please just ring the bell and leave the package. Apparently the driver took this as a personal insult.
Today I rushed home from the doctor's office to pick up my package and found one of those "gotcha" notices on my door telling me I had to pick up the package at a UPS facility. The mail order pharmacy had expedited the package because I am out of these critical meds. But UPS doesn't give a rat's ** about my health or my convenience or that---as they well know---I am 82 years old. Remember their mantra: it's their way or screw the customer.

After a few hours it says, "The receiver arranged to pick up this package at a UPS facility." WTF... All my packages says that. Not only is their delivery system a total joke so is their customer service! Some of the worst people to deal with. It's funny because I am the one who isn't receiving the service I PAID!! I was to receive a package on Tuesday, March 21 that required a signature. I knew I would not be able to accept the package until March 22 or March 23. I arrived home on March 22 and missed the delivery by 1 hour. When I tracked the package, I found that UPS said it was my 3rd and final notice/attempt and that I would need to drive an hour away to get the package. I noted that the said the attempts occurred on March 20, 21, and 22. I called to complain because I have a security camera and it only went off on the 22nd and 23rd. No one attempted to deliver the package on the 20th or my security camera would have picked up that attempt. The representative from UPS said that she was sorry, but that the only way I could get the package was to drive the hour to get it at the station. When I tried to pull out of my driveway a UPS truck pulled right in front of it and parked. He was making a delivery across the street. I asked him to move it over a few feet so I could get out of my driveway and he started on a rant I could not believe. Aggressive and condescending at the same time. He sneered at me and said something to the effect that he was NOT going to move the truck, and that I could jolly wait till he has made his delivery, and that he could not CARE LESS about my need to get out, and worse, and throughout he pointed a finger at me and interspersed his rant with "Sweethearts", i.e. "Sweetheart, I could not care LESS about your trying to get out, and can't you see, Sweetheart, I'm trying to make a delivery here, and Sweetheart, you'll just have to wait it out and sit tight till I am done." Except with slurred but rapid fire speech and bad grammar.
That while he was sitting in the truck at the wheel, where he could have just pulled up a few feet by putting his foot on the gas! While he left the truck blocking me, I found a way to maneuver around him by driving on the sidewalk, and then -- as I was driving off, he came CHASING AFTER ME IN HIS TRUCK! All of a sudden he found his gas pedal and started tailgating me! I quickly pulled in a driveway and he careened past me at top speed and pulled over and parked, waiting for me to pull out again! This was scary, he was a big guy built like a truck, dreads flying as he bobbed his head around, staring at me threateningly. He basically went postal, seemed to have a huge anger management problem or jacked up on something and I was now the target. BTW I am a lady 71 years old, a real worthy opponent for his wrath apparently. He parked in that spot down the block for quite a while, this during his route/work time.
I finally snuck out and made a sharp left, hoping to lose him. I thought I had, but 15 minutes later as I drove down another street he again was coming straight at me, glaring as he saw me. He yanked the wheel over and came to a stop immediately. I was parked at a busy intersection going the opposite way and was afraid he was going to come out of the truck and attack me. I finally made it across the road. On my way home half an hour later, he was still parked there, maybe thinking I lived somewhere on that block and he could watch which house I went in. I just kept driving. I did not go home for hours. This is all done while he is supposed to be working.
I am pretty sure UPS drivers are not supposed to block driveways, stalk old ladies using a UPS work truck and harangue and pursue strangers whom they have previously inconvenienced. His license plate is GBH659 Florida plates. I am sorry to hear that UPS does not follow up on complaints because this driver is a ticking time bomb.

I got home from work around 8:30pm to find no package. I asked my neighbors if they had gotten the package (my neighbors have been in the building over 30 years and we all very friendly). No package. I contacted Amazon who said to contact UPS. I contacted UPS who said to contact Amazon.
Finally I told UPS I wanted to open a case. They opened it and took my info and said it would take about 10 business days to investigate. I said okay. Two days later I get a notice saying "case closed". I contact UPS who says that the shipper "Amazon" had closed the case. I asked UPS for Proof of Signature of the package and tracking showed no signature had been obtained EVEN though according to UPS Amazon requested it. But AMAZON keeps saying they didn't request it. I finally reported the issue to my bank and we'll see what will happen.
My item was actually used so the value was less than $1500 but still in the $1,000 mark. That's a lot of money that no one wants to take any actions on. The police would not file a report, wouldn't even show up to do so. Plus I never accepted the package nor should I take responsibility legally for a package left in front of my door without authorization. It cost me almost $200 to mail the package from Virginia to Nottingham, England. I was told it would be about a week before it arrived in England. A couple of days ago I was advised by the recipient in England that the package never arrived. The UPS employees advised me they created a mailing label and gave the parcel to the US Post Office so, "It's not OUR problem, call the Post Office, THEY screwed this up."
I called the Post Office, gave them my tracking number and was told that the item had NEVER been picked up by anybody at the Post Office. The postmaster said when a package is picked up by their driver, the tracking number is scanned into the system before they even put the package on the truck, and they have no record of it EVER being picked up by anybody at the Post Office. Back to UPS, and the manager of the office grew very snippety with me over the phone, as though I were annoying her by asking where my package was. I had a stereo component delivered to Newmarket, north of Toronto from Boston in November 2016. My girlfriend provided the driver with the credit card information at our door for the $23.50 brokerage fee. He then handed us our DAC. Well, last Friday 10th 2017 we get our mail and UPS put us over to a collection company saying the $23.50 was not paid. We called UPS Friday evening and asked how in the world can they justify putting us into collections after we gave the driver our credit card for payment? UPS claims the driver input the wrong numbers!
So, for almost 4 months we get no emails, calls or letters from UPS over $23.50 that did not go through because of a mistake by a UPS employee. Of course Friday night I paid the $23.50 as we did look at our credit card and the charge did not go through and I owed the money. As this is a company card with at least $2000 going through a month we never noticed $23.50 not being charged. So UPS makes the mistake, does not contact us and puts us into collections.
UPS, you had my work email, my personnel email, my home number, my cell number and my address. You at any time could have contacted us, and the money would have been paid, instead you put us over to a collection agency. There are a lot of courier companies out there. All our packages are sent in perfect condition. When a receiving freight forwarding company refused to accept the UPS package because it was found damaged, UPS first claimed the package was "undeliverable", then after hunting down UPS personnel, UPS claims the receiver refused to accept the package for no reason whatsoever and not due to damage. UPS charged our account for the return shipping, which is fraud in itself, because we, the shipper do not agree and never agreed to pay for return shipping, esp. since the package was in the receiver's possession for nearly 1 week before charging for returning the package. After, we the shipper made a damage claim, we received a call from a person from Texas claiming that they do not work for UPS, and they are denying the damage claim entirely, and of course they know nothing about the charge for return shipping, let alone will help to remove it.

I brought in a pre-labeled box to ship to a local UPS shipping drop off center, paid the UPS shipping and a handling fee, only to find out the employee put on a DIFFERENT address than what I had. Why? No one seems to know. This resulted in 2 weeks of calls between the shipping center, UPS and the intended recipient of the package trying to locate the package and get it to her.
The UPS tracking information was so vague and they could not tell me where the package was (could she possibly pick it up somewhere?) or when it would ultimately be returned to me. I tried contacting UPS via phone and the customer service rep was nice, however without any details it really left me in a lurch. I also reached out to UPS through their customer service Twitter channel, and was unable to get any help there.
So after 2 weeks of hassling with this, the package ended up being returned to me and we got to try again with shipping it. The package was finally delivered a week later- so it took 3 weeks to get a package to someone. Plus it was damaged by UPS in the process. They filed a claim about the damage but then denied their own claim to reimburse me anything. The value of the item (a collectible wooden album crate) is $100, and while it was not completely smashed, it clearly was damaged. The wood cover no longer fits right, as it did when I shipped it. I understand things happen, however it's during those times that a company can shine in resolving the issue. Not this one! Never again- stay away from UPS. It's not worth the hassle.

I honestly was surprised by UPS. I've ordered 3 items in the past few months from UPS and received 2 of them, so they are batting 66 percent with me. Those odds are not much better than flipping a coin. My most recent experience was odious. I received a tracking notice via email (which I used to actually and enjoy). You know the drill... "A package is arriving tomorrow."
You can structure your life so packages should arrive on your days off, vacation time, etc. but LIFE HAPPENS... Factories run out of supplies, work orders take longer to fill. So, maybe I should be a bit more adaptable and compassionate regarding UPS. The problem is, it would appear that UPS uses Boolean logic... fuzzy math. So when you read, "You have a package arriving tomorrow," what UPS AI may or may not mean is, "You have a package arriving tomorrow for pick-up at your Access Point Store." Hmm... Ok so I was given about 12 hours notice for first time delivery so it was kinda hard to just skip WORK...
The second round around (the next day), I was told I had a package arriving at the end of the day. Cool. Except. The end of the day turned into a rendezvous with the new email translation stating (several hours later)... "Your package has arrived." Naturally it didn't arrive at my ADDRESS at the end of the day (because that would be too logical). When I called and complained to the female head honcho she was rude and borderline nasty, suggesting I wanted special service for the driver to come to me. No, I just wanted what I paid for, in my purchase agreement. She was a charmer. The package did require a signature and they left that stupid beige slip that makes you want to scream on my door screen. At least it didn't blow away. So, I signed the requisite form and waited.
The ridiculous slip was still there days later. Nice work guys. I'm going to start putting the word out that FedEx is the next REAL customer champion. Oh, and I LOVE Amazon... They actually have an amazingly accurate delivery process. UPS, your stock will most likely begin to plummet. Drastically. It would have to if the large volumes of production never reach delivery. The fact that I was put in the position where I was told I would have to drive to You and do YOUR job is unthinkable. Use Drones. Must I spell out every detail for you??? Oh and UPS corporate, check the emails under Tatiana on 3/1/17 and you'll see I'm telling the truth. Check the phone calls that day after 4 pm. You already have the data. I have a returned item sent through UPS to a vendor who went out of business. UPS has it marked as "being held at the request of the business". I've called multiple times, spent far too long trying to get to talk with a human and ended up being placated. I offered to pay to have my package returned to me. They said they'd try to locate it and several days later my package is still marked as "at UPS awaiting delivery, being held at request of business". I'm now wondering what UPS does with all the booty it collects that are sent to non-existent businesses since they don't return it to sender. NOTE: USPS will return to sender. A much more reliable service.

I understand what a delivery date is, and how FEDEX delivers on or before that date as does the local Big Spring Texas post office. However, this UPS in San Antoine Texas sucks. I mean My package was sitting for 3 days in the "HUB" and is still sitting there, not moving. When I call the 800 number for ups I get people who can neither speak proper English, nor understand it. Now I work as a recruiter for a telemarketing company and I talk all day to people whom have applied to work at the company. So I know when someone is reading from a script, and I know the sound of a call room. These customer service people are reading from a script and get frustrated when I tell them I know they are reading from a script and that I want them to look away, listen to my question and answer it properly.
My delivery date is not here as of yet. But my concern and question is and has been, why is it just sitting in the holding room and not out for delivery? It took me since Friday to get a answer, and even then the answer made no sense. I am giving them until the 1st of March to have my package here. Then if it is not here I will move forward with a lawsuit, a police follow up and legal actions.

First of all I asked day before to call me when driver arrives at my address calling is far. He didn't ring bell nor knock the door just stick a note on the window. Anyway when driver came I asked him that he was supposed to meet me at 5:30 and he didn't care and said he told them 6pm. Everybody was blaming each other and nobody get me manager or supervisor. I would never use UPS ever and suggest all my family and friends all over the world use regular post or FedEx service. Stay away from Ups ** service. It is urgent that I receive my package but no one seems to want to help me find it. I am from Arizona and have just experienced the worst customer service from two of your facilities here, (Meg from the Mesa sort facility) & (Barbara from the Tempe sort facility).
I had ordered an important item for a very important Military Award Ceremony this coming Saturday evening, February 11th at the Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. My package was shipped 2 day so that I would receive its contents in plenty of time, however the shipper mistakenly put the wrong zip code on the label. When I called to see if they could hold it at the Mesa sorting plant, Meg said that it was already on its way to the Tempe location but wouldn't arrive there until Monday for delivery. This would mean that I would have to miss the award ceremony tomorrow evening. Mesa and Tempe are right next to one another, how could it take 3 days to get from one location to the other? Doesn't make any sense at all.
When I called the Tempe location and talked with Barbara there, she said after checking her records that my package was still at the Mesa plant. How could my package be at neither facility? I got the feeling that one or both ladies were just too lazy to go look for it. In the meantime, I am going to have to miss my Military Award Event because I do not have that package. I am very frustrated and willing to go pick it up if someone would just do their job and track it down for me. Neither lady sounded very happy to help me when answering the phone, they almost sounded irritated.
I have never experienced such bad attitudes and customer service. I would never leave my customer hanging out to dry especially if it was for something important or for someone that serves our country. If there is anyone there at the corporate offices that could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I have had several bad experiences with UPS drivers, for example I once arrived home just in time to catch the driver. According to him since he had already attempted delivery I had to go in the truck and carry my box out myself. The delivery was from Chewy and contained pet food and a bag of litter. The box must've gotten knocked about a bit because when I picked it up litter went everywhere. I also took a day off of work just to be told at the end of the day, after my item was out for delivery all day that they were going to deliver it another day! So basically they are unable to deliver on the day they are supposed to.
This last Saturday the package went from in transit from Newark to "attempted delivery." No out for delivery, no nothing. Once I saw this I ran out and saw the UPS truck drive off. I immediately called their customer service just to spend an hour on the phone with a rep telling me they can't help. I paid an extra 14.99 for next day delivery I didn't get and then when I called to ask for the driver to come back or to at least leave it at my local UPS store the representative said she couldn't call the driver or do anything to help me. UPS customer service is useless since they claim to be unable (or at least unwilling) to contact their drivers when you need them to, even for customers who pay extra. Their drivers all behave as if they hate their jobs. I noticed a huge difference between service to a business address and a home address. UPS is the worst.

Absolutely disgusting establishment. I have had packages sent to me on three separate occasions in which cash had been stolen out of. By the third offense, we realized that each time goods were sent to me from my father (UPS would see his name as the return address), they were being opened and the cash stolen. The first time an envelope labeled "for groceries" had been stolen out of a care package sent to me through UPS. The second two times the money was hidden within the package and STILL was stolen.
Not only is this a disgrace, but UPS makes it extremely complicated to get in touch with them, and once you do, they could quite honestly care less. I was simply told "there is nothing we can do." So while there is nothing they can do for me, I have vowed to never use UPS again and STRONGLY recommend others to turn to FedEx instead. On their tracking website it said my bed was delivered. After submitting a claim for my missing item UPS conducted an investigation and agreed there was no proof that bed was delivered and they would either refund my money or pay for another bed. I had very poor customer service throughout this entire process. Anytime I called inquiring about the status of my refund or the issue at hand I was never told anything, everyone working customer service would say that they "were working on it" or that I would have to consult with the furniture store.
About two months later I arrive home and there is a large box sitting on my doorstep, it was slats and side rails to the bed, there was no headboard or rest of the bed. By this point I had already bought another bed because I was tired of sleeping on the floor and I thought I was never going to get the bed. I specified to UPS that I wanted a refund way before they sent half of the bed and they never informed me that the bed was on its way. I was not kept informed on any part of this process and if it was not for the furniture company, I would still be waiting on ups for anything to happen. I WILL NEVER USE UPS EVER AGAIN. Gave UPS an envelope to deliver by a date certain. They guaranteed delivery by 10 am, but later said they could only guarantee delivery by end of day. My package sat in Salt Lake City for an entire day. Then they claimed a coal train derailment (my package was not on that train!) caused them to miss delivery. Problem is the derailment did not affect their delivery options AND even assuming it did, they did nothing to get the package and re-route it for timely delivery. No one bothers to call and tell you there's a delivery issue either.
After speaking to countless people in customer service (oxymoron), no one could tell me where my package was or when it would be delivered. The next day they lied and said it was at a hub, where no one worked on Saturdays. Problem, it wasn't at a hub. It was 7.6 miles away from the delivery location, but they refused to deliver it because I hadn't asked for Saturday delivery. When you talk to the UPS Store, they claim they have no relation to UPS. When I asked them for my money back, they claim they have to ask UPS because they are only a franchise. Then tell me that UPS will deny my claim anyway and there's no recourse.
Customer service is entirely unhelpful. They expressed zero concern about their failure to fulfill the contract and then told me all they are responsible for is the envelope, not what is in it or damages for failure to deliver on time. Unfortunately for them, I signed the "disclaimers", which are in print too small to read, as having been signed under duress. They still accepted the package, so they are responsible for all my damages. Will never use UPS again.

Then they say they come at 10:17 A.M., find me at home to sign for the package and deliver it. They did not ring the bell (it rings to my phone), so I know that something is seriously not legit. I will have to wait until I get home to see if they left any kind of notice as to where the package is. They cannot give me an answer as to why no one ever rings the doorbell when they attempt to deliver. This has happened more than once.
The last time this happened, they said the package was at the UPS distribution center, 45 minutes away, so I made the drive, only to find out that they had given the package to someone with a fake ID. Both of these packages were from the same shipper, so I guess they are in this together, but UPS does not seem to care that either. First, no one cares that package is missing. Second, and If you had failed to insure that package... UPS will only refund back to you, the shipping charge and a good faith fee of $100.00. So ALWAYS, insure your package for as many dollars that you feel that a possible lost would be worth. It won't replace the items, but that lost might be a little easier to deal with.

My mother passed away the end of September. One of the things she left to me was her beautiful 45 year old blown glass collection. My father had the pieces specially made and gave them to her for her birthday and Christmas. I went to Illinois and stayed with one of my sisters. We were brought the glass collection back to my sister's house and very carefully packed it. There was 15 pieces within 3 boxes. We put double bubble wrap inside each box which covered the bottom and the sides. We wrapped each piece of glass in bubble wrap and put it in its own individual small hard box. We then took the small boxes and put them in the bigger boxes and folded the rest of the bubble wrap over the top. Then filled in any gaps inside the big boxes and the smaller boxes with air filled plastic. I sent the boxes to myself in Arizona along with 10 other boxes of items.
I went to the UPS store in Streamwood Illinois on Barrington Rd and paid over $400.00 to ship all the boxes. When the boxes arrived on October 24, 2017 and I opened them, 10 out of the 15 pieces of the glass were shattered or broken. The boxes were marked fragile and showed visible damage to the outside as if they had been thrown. These glass pieces are irreplaceable. I called UPS an hour later to make a claim after I stopped crying. I was on the phone with UPS corporate office for 45 minutes giving them information. I asked for someone from UPS to please come look at how the pieces were packed and how badly they were shattered or broken. They refuse to have an inspector come out and look. I have called UPS corporate and the store location 19 times (all claims have to be submitted from the store you ship from to corporate). It is January 22, 2017 and my claim still has not been completed.
UPS corporate pushes it back on the store. The store owner was great and sent UPS corporate a 33 page fax when he submitted the claim. He has called corporate many times. I will never use UPS again ever. Neither will my family. I am devastated at how careless UPS is and how they don't care. If the items that were broken were something else I wouldn't have been so upset. This blown glass collection was special, one of a kind and when I was a child I used to stand in front of my mother's China cabinet and look at the collection and how the sun would bounce off the colors. It was so beautiful. I am grieving from the loss of my mother and to have deal with this and UPS not taking care of my claim is just wrong.
Oh and out of the other 10 boxes one of them had been opened stuffed with brown paper and taped back up way more than what I taped it. 2 items were taken out of that box. The claim for that has still not been taken care of by UPS. I want to try to replace the 10 pieces that were shattered and broken with pieces that are as close to what my mother had. I took pictures of everything, the shattered and broken pieces and all packing material. It is impossible for the pieces to have broke unless the boxes were thrown. They were packed so carefully. By the denting on the outside of the boxes that is clearly what happened. It's really sad that a company doesn't care about their customers. I am going to call our family attorney. I have a great case against UPS. I have attached a couple of pictures to show how careless UPS is. :(

UPS sent me multiple shipping updates stating address has been corrected then refused to deliver because it had no apartment number, started sending shipping updates - address corrected and it still does not have apartment number. If you know the address is wrong why are you sending shipping updates when you know you are not going to deliver it.

I am beyond livid regarding a package that was shipped from Waxahachie, TX to Beeville, TX. This package not only contained several sentimental items that belonged to my mom who passed away, but also her cremated ashes. They were aware of the box contents, there was even the original box packed inside the store's box that was taped by UPS. The package arrived with the bag my mom's ashes were in SLICED open! Items had been rummaged through at some point, not the original store, but one of the UPS stores it went through along the way. My whole problem with this is #1 UPS charged extra for the ashes being shipped, #2 the fact the bag was sliced open when it could have been opened and closed securely and #3 these people are beyond ignorant when it comes to any common decency. This was absolutely their fault.
An employee opened 2 boxes (not even just 1) and rummaged through things causing damage to photo frames, my mom's ceramic personal items broken into pieces, family heirlooms beyond repair covered in my mom's ashes!!! I'm just at a loss as to what I think and makes me question what these people are on!!! I only have the tracking and incident # regarding this. I submitted multiple photos and these are only a few. I still have not unpacked the box due to my mom's ashes on everything so it is hard to do without breaking down. I have yet to receive the status of this claim and have been given the runaround for several weeks now.

I looked at the left at and it said other - released. They said on their side it says front door. How does it say one thing on one side and something completely different on the other? She didn't send me a screen shot of the supposedly front door screen she had. She referred me to contact Amazon, but why should the company sending the package have to pay for a mistake made by the delivery company that didn't finish their job?

This is probably the worst company ever as far as customer service and service delivery. I cannot believe they are still around. Every single phone call no one thoroughly understands how to navigate their own UPS website - I even found several people who don't know what "accessorial charges" are that is listed on the website. They increase their rates 5% every year without an commensurate increase in services - I wish I could do that to my customers. They are like robots on the phone and forget about asking to speak to a manager or supervisor because they are incapable of making a decision and repeat the same script as their underlings.
PAYMENTS. When you make payments online it takes about 24 hours to clear and shows up as payment pending on their own website but despite this they will suspend your account for non-payment. Then it takes 24-48 hours for your account to be reactivated which means that your payments can clear but they still may not re-activate your account - so in today's age of technology it appears the IT morons that work for a multi-billion dollar company like UPS they apparently never heard of system overrides.
IMPACT on SMALL BUSINESSES and THE ECONOMY. With extremely increasing high rates UPS can have a negative impact on the economy and I am sure they have drive small businesses out of business (especially when suspended accounts will not be reactivated for 24-48 hours) which means that you cannot ship especially if you are in a remote location and not near a UPS store as an alternative.
LOST PACKAGES. I have called UPS and told them to change my billing address to a new address at least 3 times and as of today my old address still shows up in their system depending on who you talk to. So customer returns have gone to the old address and I was able to get tracking information 3-4 months later - this has happened many times. In other situations shipments to customers have gotten lost or damaged.
CUSTOMER SERVICE. This company has the worst customer service ever and it is hard to believe that these people have jobs. You are on hold forever while listening to horrible music - why don't they give you the option to not listen to that crap while you are on hold for such a long time. The other issue is you cannot understand what they are saying over the phone. I can only hope that for competition to teach this company a lesson because they realize that they are in a position of power to throw their weight around. So I have to reship and hope to get my product back. UPS DRIVER. The driver is very rude - he once told me he can find better product at Target. They show up at 3:00 which is way too early.

I mailed a box with sentimental items -- yearbooks, candlesticks/other wood items from Africa, slides from old trips, etc. I put them in a strong box, arranged them carefully (solid items on bottom, more fragile items on top), and wrapped all the wood works. When it arrived, it was in a weak, broken and torn box. They had taken out the items and moved them to a new box -- almost completely inverted (so fragile items were on the bottom). Slides were out of the boxes, with some missing. Wood items were no longer wrapped and some of them scraped/damaged. When I called, they said I didn't declare a value so they would only give me $100. They did not care that they opened my box and were responsible for the damage. I would understand if they accidentally dropped it and something was slightly damaged. This was completely their fault for opening and repacking my box so poorly.

I don't even know where to begin. My experience using the UPS delivery service has been terrible, something that was supposed to take 1-2 business days took more than a week and never ever got what I wanted. I was getting a package shipped to me. It was supposed to come last Monday, I didn't realize I didn't give them buzzer number so after that I gave them it and they had the correct information and they said it will be delivered the next day. Well of course what do you know it wasn't, so I logged on UPS tracking and it said address may cause delay in delivery. So I called them and said that and they confirmed address and it was correct.
Every day that week they said same thing but always had same address so after the 3 attempt they still never contacted me which if there's an issue you should. So today, which is Jan. 17, 2017 I was told it would be delivered between 12-2, I had a member of my family call in sick so they could stay home and receive my package and what do you know it never came. I called them and they said it will be delivered tomorrow after they already told me it would be today. So I am now completely furious and lost my patience because it has been a week and 3 days and have not gotten package. They will not let me change address and I even talk to supervisor and didn't do anything.
I am so very disgusted in the customer service and shipping of UPS and I would never ever use your service again nor would I ever recommend anyone to either. I had to cancel my package because it was too much hassle and problems. You guys should resort in new workers for customer service and new delivery people because the ones you have suck and am a very pissed of customer UPS. You suck.

It did not leave US until Dec 29, 2016. There was another delay at Canadian custom which I can understand. However, UPS, the local station and the corporate office would not even acknowledge that they were responsible for the delay on the US side and would not provide any refund at all. I paid $101 for overnight service but the delay on the US side caused a 2-days delay. All customer support issues go to the Philippines. You never get to talk to anyone whose first language is English. I also believe any email you get from them is a prewritten one from corporate. They just pick one that they think most closely fits. Also they will ask you to respond & give you an address of customerservicepr@ups.com but you must drop the pr. It does not seem the reps in the Philippines don't even know what UPS does in this country & as far as they are concerned Oregon might be next to Florida.
My problem is last week they dropped a trailer in Roseburg, Oregon because of weather which I understand. Roseburg is NOT a sorting station. Evidently they forgot they dropped it there. I had another package with the same routing that obviously blew right by Roseburg & made it in time to get on the truck to make it back to Roseburg to get it to me. So a package that I ordered 2 days after the 1st one made it & the 1st one is still sitting in Portland now as they finally remembered the trailer they dropped.
Every package in that trailer will be 5-6 days late & UPS will blame it on weather & not refund a dime of shipping costs to the customers they screwed. Amazon refunded my shipping but I'll bet UPS won't refund a dime to anybody & it was their mistake. Now Monday is a holiday so who knows it might be 6 days late. It seems UPS thinks they are too big to fail like the banks did but there won't be anybody to bail them out. My driver is great & does a good job but he does not have any support.

UPS has gone downhill these past few months to the point where I would rather ship USPS than them. In fact my 1st question when I am about to order something is..."how do you ship?" If UPS is my only option I say..."No Thanks." A couple recent examples... I was waiting for an order to be delivered (finally) on 1/3. My Choice said it was 'out for delivery' when I 1st checked that morning...home all day waiting...still 'out for delivery', finally at 8:40 pm I get thru to cust service... "It's out for delivery and we usually deliver by 7 pm"??? Point out it's 8:40 pm... ummm. "Well if it's not there by 9 pm call us in the morning." Seriously. Finally comes at 9:15 PM. How is that safe for the customer or driver? Needless to say, called the company I ordered from and told them my problems regarding shipping, told me "sorry...but that's who we use." Told them "Thanks for letting me know. I'll be taking you off my shopping list."
Just last week I ordered something from Pier 1 to be shipped to my daughter in Orlando. I get an email from them that it's been shipped so go to tracking...no not UPS. Well I go to My Choice and put "it is to be delivered to the Management Office since it is an Apt complex." Guess what...they tried to deliver it to her at 7:17 PM last night, so the driver decides..."I'm taking it to the UPS store several miles away on 1 of the busiest roads by Disney." OH no you didn't...I immediately got on the phone, waited about 20 min before I finally got to talk to someone. She tried to say..."well, you can pick it up starting on Monday." I went off on "NO I was not picking it up. I paid for delivery to a certain address, which I am looking at online at this very moment and YOU did not perform that service. YOU are going to pick it up and deliver it to me as the service I PAID for."
If your drivers cannot perform their duties that is your problem. I got transferred to a supervisor who said he was going to have it redelivered on Monday. Yeah, we'll see. As soon as I got off the phone with them I called Pier 1 and told them what was going on and that as long as that was their only shipping partner I would NOT be ordering anything form them in the future...and that my recent purchase could possibly be returning to them since there was NO WAY anyone was driving somewhere to pick up a package that I paid to have delivered to my daughter's apt.

Two weeks before Christmas I arranged for UPS to pick up a package to return. UPS did not check the package they should have taken. Since it was holiday time, fedex had just dropped off a package. The fedex package contained $700 worth of Christmas clothing from Lord and Taylor for my family. UPS failed to knock on my door and decided to take the FedEx package. The driver put a sticker on that package and took it among himself to deliver it incorrectly to Amazon's warehouse in Las Vegas. I called UPS and they would not intercept the package. Even though it was their delivery error they told me to file a claim with Amazon. I called Amazon and they couldn't do anything because the package was not theirs and did not contain their content.
I reported the same to UPS and asked to file a claim for a refund from UPS for falsely taking the fedex package. To date, which is about 6 weeks later, UPS is still trying to pass the buck to Amazon despite my 8 hours of phone with UPS. To date they have refused to compensate for my package despite sending them a receipt for proof of the goods. Their own office has tracked and evidenced that they picked up the wrong package and lost it! UPS has the worst service and is wholly unreliable. If I call BEFORE it even gets to my city "because it has been delayed" they say they can't do that either and to wait until it gets to my city then call back. Contradicting huh? I have had one CS person tell me that "We are locating the driver now" and put me on hold for 45 minutes and get back on the line to tell me "We can't get ahold of him. I cannot say enough about UPS and the driver that delivers to the Temecula, CA area! The packages are ALWAYS here on time and on my doorstep, with a knock at the door I know my package is here safely and efficiently. I have used UPS for a long time and always request UPS when buying On-Line and if there is an option for them. Yes sometimes UPS Delivery costs a little more than other delivery services but the best costs a little more and the package is on your doorstep when they said it would be. Other services have lost packages that I have waited too long for... I'm sticking to Brown-UPS. You can always expect the best delivery available from this company PASS IT ON! Thank you UPS.

Another time, they delivered a package to the wrong address in a whole different state! I would use USPS or FedEx over UPS any day. They are on time and I have not had a complaint with either of them yet. SHAPE UP UPS!

A package that I shipped with overnight delivery was lost. My bad that I didn't verify the next day to see if it was delivered (that was overconfidence on my part). I followed up with UPS after a couple of days, then called them again. The packet has still not been found after more than a month. They do not have the courtesy to keep me updated. I filed a claim. The package was not too valuable as far as cost is concerned but just had an important document that had to be delivered ASAP.

Let me start off by saying this company is a ** show. On Friday, January 6th, 2017 I had a package delivered to my apartment. I cleared my WHOLE DAY to wait for this package. It never came. I never got a call or notice saying it was attempted to be delivered, so I decided to wait until the following Monday to try again. I cleared my WHOLE schedule, once again to get this important package. I hand wrote 2 notes to put on the front and back doors of my apartment building for the driver to let them know I was home. The note included the name on the package, that I WAS HOME WAITING, and my phone number. I waited from 8 am to 3 pm for this package unable to go anywhere because I had no idea what time these imbeciles would come again.
Around 3:30 I received an email stating my package was attempted to be delivered around noon. Now I worked for Amazon delivery therefore I know the driver is supposed to knock on the door, as well as call the customer if they do not have entrance to the building, which I got neither. No one decided to contact me at all. Nonetheless I made sure both entrances to the building were unlocked and my notes were still there. I then called customer service to explain my situation and how important this package was needed for the following day. My name and phone number was taken and I was assured I would get a call from the Shrewsbury facility where my package had been shipped out from.
Well, 2 hours later I finally received a call stating that they would get ahold of the driver and have my package redelivered. I then got a call from Shrewsbury stating they could not redeliver my package. I called customer service again, at this point blood boiling and frustration through the roof. I spoke to 3 customer service representatives before being transferred to a "manager" who could not seem to help me either. Now, they want to tell me my only option is to drive 35 minutes from my house to pick up my package that I have already paid shipping and handling on because their baboon of an employee was too lazy to pick up the phone, follow protocol, dial 10 digits and tell me my package was trying to be delivered.
Now being a former delivery driver for Amazon I have personally seen Supervisors drive their own personal vehicles to customers to make sure their packages were delivered on time, ESPECIALLY if it was for an important event. Now, as an unsatisfied customer none of these idiots did their job to fix my problem which was caused because one lazy employee couldn't spare the 5 extra seconds it takes to do their job correctly.
Well this is the reason the post office is federally funded and employees need to take a test to work there, to avoid hiring incompetent people like these who I have painstakingly spent HOURS arguing with trying to get my package that I have paid for and have already cleared 2 days out of my schedule to wait for. I am utterly displeased with the service I have been given by UPS and I as an individual and taxpayer will not be using their services again. This is absolutely ridiculous, and none of the "managers" especially Jason, in Customer Service, in the company care about customer satisfaction. This company is such a disgrace.

I ordered a package from a vitamin and supplements company. Having had stomach surgery I need supplements to maintain my health and not being a millionaire I try to get the most for my money by ordering timely bulk packages. Usually with about a week’s supply left I order new supplies. So I order my package expecting a bit of delay over the Christmas Holiday. But UPS says 2-5 business days I will have my order. 15 business days later I still do not have my order. UPS dropped it off at a local access point that shuttered its doors that day apparently and instead of actually taking responsibility and just replacing my order and next day shipping it to me this is their response. "We are going to open a case file. It will take eight business days". WTF! So eight more business days I have to wait so they can tell me that they can't get the package?
At this point I am now 12 days without vitamins, supplements and protein powder. All of which I need to maintain my health. I can feel myself getting sick. I have lost weight and have constant headaches and pain now. And I have to wait another ten days until they admit fault? Sorry but I can't afford to spend another $500 on stuff because I am a disabled vet who lives on a fixed income and I just don't have cash to throw around. Point being I guess if you really need something and actually care when your package gets to you DO NOT USE UPS!

Today, January 6, 2017 I left a package at my apartment door as directed by the seller to be picked up for return by UPS. I also left a note requesting a return receipt from the UPS driver. I saw the UPS driver park his truck in front of my building for a couple of minutes then drive off. Since this had happened before with this same UPS driver involving a pickup of an item I immediately called the apartment office which was his destination and requested that they inform him I needed a package to be picked up for return. The UPS driver never returned to pickup the parcel. When I called the apartment office to verify that they had relayed my message to the driver they told me they had, and that he told them that he had been to my address and did not see a package.
I contacted UPS Customer Service and reported the incident. The UPS driver's supervisor got in touch with me and apologized for the failure to pick up the return and explained that the driver was not given the necessary labels to process the return and thought that he was missing a delivery parcel to my address. To this point, I had no complaint with the UPS incident reporting process. But to my surprise, I received an e-mail "Sorry We Missed You. We tried to deliver your package..." with a rescheduled date. Utter nonsense! I reported the pickup failure incident to the seller and submitted a rebuttal email to UPS. As a consumer, I have learned to follow-up delivery complaints with a report to the seller. Otherwise incidents of carrier failure can get hidden in misleading worded notices that go on the delivery record.
Updated on 01/10/2017: After rescheduling one failed pickup by UPS the unimaginable has happened, the driver failed to pick up the package AGAIN. This started with my complaint to UPS on Friday, January 6, 2017 that their driver drove up to my apartment building, stopped briefly, and drove away. When I called my apartment complex office to track him and ask that he return to pick up my package, he told them he had been to my door and he did not see a package. He never came back.
Long story short, a UPS supervisor ended up contacting me and apologizing that the driver realized he did not have the necessary labels to process my package for return. So the supervisor rescheduled the pickup for Monday, January 9, 2017. Today is early Tuesday January 10, 2017 and I am still waiting for that same pickup that did not happen yesterday, January 9th. According to my apartment complex office they got no UPS delivery service on Monday either.
What has happened is a revelation about this carrier service. They fraudulently entered erroneous notes into the tracking record for the driver's failure to pick up my parcel as "we tried to deliver your package but missed you" on both occasions. This raises questions of fraud since each pickup attempt for this type of return is billable to the 3rd party payer. I inadvertently learned that my calls to UPS were being taken by a call center in The Philippines when I asked where they were located. Frustrating when you are dealing with a local delivery hub and driver. Bottom line for me is to keep the retailer apprised of the irregularities with UPS since they are the 3rd party payer for the service and this cost is ultimately absorbed by the consumer. I no longer see UPS as the brand they portray themselves to be. Extremely disappointed.

On December 10, 2016 I shipped a 49" LG 4K Smart LED TV from the UPS store in Orlando, Florida to my home in Auburn Hills Michigan. It arrived at my home on December 16, 2016. When I open the package a I discovered the TV had been hit so hard on the edge of the package that it broke through the styrofoam packaging and crushed the edge of the TV. I put a value of $750.00 on the TV when I shipped it. The TV was in the original packaging and I added additional styrofoam to the front, back and sides. I asked the store clerk if additional packaging was needed. They said no, that they ship TVs in original packages all the time.
When I filed a claim with the UPS Damage Group they asked for pictures of the damage, the packaging and the box. They sent me an email confirming they had received the pictures and notified the shipper of the results of their inspection. They will not discuss with me their finding. The store claims they never heard from UPS. When they looked into it they said the claim was denied because I did not allow them to inspect the package or send them pictures, which is a total lie. They will not allow me to contact the claims adjuster or speak with anyone in authority to resolve the matter. I have since sent pictures to the store and will take the package to a UPS facility for them to inspect the package further. I have spent thousands of dollars in shipping and receiving packages from UPS over the years. I can't believe I am being treated like this. On Wednesday, 12/07/2016 at 2:30 PM, UPS driver got off his truck with 2 small packages for delivery to me. I was standing in my driveway as he got off the truck almost yelling "we got a problem" waiving some papers in the air. I ask "what is it?" He talks loudly again. "You got a problem. You told them I delivered 2 packages I handed you 3 packages." I explained to him I only received 2 packages from 1 company & 1 from another company and was supposed to get 3 from helmets and only got 2. I told him it said on the online notice 4 packages to be delivered and I only got 3. He said "then you got your packages and are trying to place false claims." He accused me of trying to scam UPS and from now on I'll have to go to Leominster (15 miles away) to pick up my packages from now on.
During this conversation, he was trying to show me the paperwork of deliveries but couldn't find it. He was very agitated and he was raising his voice. He had placed my packages he brought this time on the ground just before we started talking just after he got off the truck when it was apparent he was not going to hear anything I had to say and I was not going to stand there listening to him insulting me and threatening me about no delivers. One of my packages needed to be signed for. I asked him for the machine so I could sign he tells me NO I have to go to Leominster to pick them up. I said "like hell you're here now just give me my packages." He said "NO." So I bent down to pick them up. He knocked me down and took one of the packages back.
I followed him around his truck yelling "give me my package" and he kept saying NO. I would have to go to Leominster to get it. A car had stopped to watch this. My wife was in the driveway with one of her friends watching this all unfold. He saw them then shoved the Machine at me and said "fine sign for it." As he left he was yelling something I didn't quite hear. But at this point I can only imagine it was a threat. I went in my house and reported it to Customer service. I was supposed to get 2 packages yesterday 12/20/2016. The manager of the Leominster facility said there will be no more deliveries to my home ever! Why do I have to be punished for the actions of this guy. Having to drive 15 miles away 3-4 times a week. My services should be restored. I do have reasons for legal action with witnesses but am trying to resolve this peacefully. Also I have a heart condition.

I have to do 5 mile radius check on the neighbors to see if they have my packages. Don't they have GPS? Google? Or are the drivers just too lazy to deliver? I have a package out now and no idea of where it is. I suppose the one driver that was able to find me has gotten his GED and moved on to a better job. They said they could not issue and send to me because I did not have an account and would send it to the place that I sent it from. I sent the package from a hub and not a stand alone store which I told them but they did not understand. They told me this would take 15 days as this was the business cycle that they operated under. I went yesterday to pick up a check and the manager of the Hub said this is not how UPS operates.
Called customer service and talked to several foreign agents. They had no record of my prior conversations and I was too late to get the refund. The item was picked up but never scanned. Though I was given a tracking number, it never worked, and for two days I kept calling UPS to see where the package was. They claimed it was not shipped!! From one of their own stores, packaged and shipped insured, and they say it never was shipped. I called and called and pestered and then, by some miracle, the tracking started working on the third day, and on the fourth, the package showed up.
Fast forward to today. I am waiting on a bank document that was sent Priority Overnight on Friday. No delivery Monday due to holiday, and though guaranteed by Tuesday at 3pm, it never shows up. I look at the tracking this morning, and how it has been conveniently moved to Wednesday delivery-no explanation, and the person on the phone is as unhelpful as can be. I have gone out of the way to order items from vendors that either offer alternative carriers or simply do not use UPS at all. FedEx ground residential delivery has become my top choice for years now. I have used them at five different residences in two states and the service has been consistently outstanding in every one of the aforementioned aspects. Ironically, FedEx is typically less expensive - my guess is that it's because their system is probably much more efficient. The fact that FedEx consistently delivers quicker, without issues, and at lower costs is proof.

I first went to a UPS store to get details about why the package was undeliverable and returned to me. That particular store couldn't help me because that wasn't the store I originally used to send the package. This is a bad setup for UPS stores, not convenient to the customer. I was therefore given a UPS customer service number to call. The first time I called, the woman who answered tried to get me to go to the original UPS store that I sent the packages with. She eventually did her job and filed the claim that she was supposed to. Avoiding personal job responsibilities is TERRIBLE customer service. When she was done, she said that I would receive a call within 1 hour.
The call didn't come within an hour. It came 3 hours later. Don't make a statement that you can't backup. I, in turn, called a 2nd time to follow-up. This woman was nicer and more direct about helping. She made the necessary documentations, but simply stated that the investigation was proceeding, so there was nothing to be done at the moment. When the customer service representative called back, they asked a few questions about the details and proceeded to talk. When she stopped, I asked a question, but she continued to talk (Again, not customer oriented. If you hear the customer talk, then stop and listen). I don't like to yell at all. She then tried to make it sound like I was rude for yelling. If I didn't yell, then she would have continued to talk without answering my question.
She basically stated that UPS followed procedure to deliver the package, but they didn't even bother to leave a message when they called the recipient. This means they didn't even care about telling the recipient, so they left the package at the front desk without the recipient's knowledge. Their procedure allows UPS to not worry about the package and return the package to the sender after 5 days of sitting at the front desk. FYI, the recipient did not move and all the information matched properly. UPS gets the money without doing their best to provide a service. Serving customers can not be said as their primary priority.

UPS' all American Company customer service is outside the US, who told me that there was no Saturday sticker on the box and therefore it will be delivery on Tuesday. Heartbroken I wrote a complaint to UPS who finally responded today Tuesday.
The person I talked to in Dallas tried at least to help and understood but sent me to customer support, where Breanne from Arizona at 10:37 am Central time told me she was sorry but it was the store's fault and they have nothing to do with it, that I needed to contact the store and ask for a refund to them because they just contracted with the store but UPS actually doesn't own the store that individual businesses and they are not responsible for their mistakes. Well when my kid's father went to the store was relying on UPS' ALL global ALL American company reputation to trust the presents for his children not some Joe dude owner of the store. Therefore UPS is indeed responsible for the sadness in my children faces feeling their dad didn't give them any presents when in fact he did.
Needless to say that I will NEVER EVER Again send anything anywhere with UPS. They are unreliable, and they won't take responsibility for anything happening in any other stores carrying on UPS on them. I asked for a headquarter's number, nobody I talked to in UPS seems to know that info. They don't provide last names or anything. They don't feel sorry for what happened and they refuse to refund the $125 service fee. They fail to provide. Shame on them for so many reasons, employing outside workers, taking jobs away from our country, unreliable, irresponsible and they plain and simple show no empathy. No consideration. UPS shipped my package VIA UPS innovations which means, UPS picks the package up from the shipper, they sort it, and then USPS does the dirty work and delivers it to your door step. Well in the transition from UPS to USPS, UPS lost my package. It was stopped at the Urbancrest, Ohio UPS plant for 10 days. I called UPS 1 (800) PICK UPS along with 3 other generic customer service numbers. All 3 of the representatives, I spoke to, all admitted that UPS lost the package and had no way of locating the package. They told me to contact the shipper, I asked to speak to a manager, I was denied, I asked to speak to someone in the US, I was denied.
I finally got in touch with the Urbancrest, Ohio location directly who were the only people that were remotely helpful. However, the person who "tracks down lost packages" was out on vacation until after the holidays. UPS also stated that the shipper would have to pay to replace the package that was lost, even though they admitted that they were the one who lost it.

I took two folding commemorative sports chairs to the UPS office in Toronto to be shipped to the UK. One young kid in the shop said he couldn't pack it for me till later that day which was no good as I was flying to the USA at lunchtime but he said he could sell me the box etc and I could wrap it myself. He weighed the chairs and box and quoted me a price and left me to pack it myself in the middle of the store. An hour later I had it done and he weighed it again - this time the price was almost double but by this time I was out of options to paid the exorbitant price. He filled in the customs form which said they chairs were a freebie so had no value.
A few days later when I was home in the UK I got a phone call from UPS UK asking about the contents of the box and the customs form and I told her exactly what I had told the kid in Toronto. Two days later UPS knock on the door and want 75 quid customs duty. Obviously I had to pay it, but I got in touch with UPS explained the problem and they told me to contact the Toronto store, which I did. A week later they sent an email saying the customs form had been incorrectly filled in and if I sent them proof of charges they would refund me the money. I did this, and since then have heard nothing from either UPS London or UPS Toronto.
As a senior citizen I not only found the lack of packaging help initially far from good customer service but also the fact that the price almost doubled because - as I found out later - it is not only the weight but the size of the package. If the kid in Toronto had told me this I would have tried to make the box smaller. So all in all I have to say I found the whole UPS experience an absolute pain, and I am still waiting for someone, somewhere - ANYWHERE - to sort out this mess. Would I use them again? Don't make me laugh.
Update on 01/02/2017: Having finally got a reply from both the UPS branch in Toronto and someone in customer services, The shop offered to refund 70 percent of the customs charges - great. BUT they demanded that I put my bank details in an email to them so they could do an international transfer. Now anyone will tell you that the first rule of online security is you never ever put your details in an email - so I asked for a refund on my credit card that I used to pay for the shipping. The reply is that their credit card machine will not let them do that!!! So now I am trying to think of another way of getting my refund - so far without any luck. The UPS customer service department in Canada has been very quiet regarding this. My advice to UPS Canada is to get their stores in order, because their excuses for both bad store service and even worse online service is pathetic.

Ordered two identical items from the same company at the same time. Received shipping info on the first one the following day, second one the following day after that. First one was scheduled to be delivered on the 23rd and second was scheduled to be delivered on the 20th. Thought that was kinda weird but just assumed it was from two different warehouses. Received package number two on the correct date, checked tracking on package one and it now says "Shipping info not available. Try again later." Called the 1-800 number on the bottom of the page and I'm told the item "has been lost somehow". Agent confirmed the package was last scanned on 12/16 in California and hasn't been seen since.
Ok first red flag, it's Christmas time and you have a package on a truck on the 16th and now it's gone but nobody notices by the 21st??? The agent's response is they have no way of knowing if it's missing. Transfers me to Oliver ** who claims to be a supervisor. "Oliver" tells me he can open up an investigation but it takes 1-8 business days. Umm no. That's not gonna work. This is a Christmas present for my 11 year old daughter. Great. Let me tell my kid on Christmas "sorry your gift isn't here but UPS said they're sorry for your frustration". Sure she'll understand. After 30 minutes with "Oliver" he's somehow able to find it in the system and locate my package. Calls me an hour later and says "We found the package (now in lost and found). We're going to overnight it. You'll have it tomorrow."
Get an update from UPS of a new tracking number, it shows the package is being returned to original shipper. Call the 800 number again and agent confirms that I'm not receiving the item. It's going back to the shipper. Call the number that "Oliver" left on my voicemail and am fortunate enough to talk to "Morgan **". She tells me that there's no way that anyone could access the account and tell me where the package was at because "Oliver" didn't do his job and note in their system that it was supposed to come to my address not the shipper. When asked why the agent at UPS told me her computer shows it returning to the shipper her response was "she's not a trained investigator". So the untrained agent can tell me more than the "trained investigator".
Finally after 20 minutes of back and forth with this wonderful woman she says "I'll try something that may not work." She comes back and says "I was able to access the system and can verify it's coming to your address in North Carolina." Umm nooo. I live in Louisiana. She says "yeah that's what I meant." I asked her how she was able to verify that it is coming to me when five minutes ago she's saying there is no way that ANYBODY can access that info. Her response was "I don't know why you're upset. I did what you asked me to do." Yeah I'm a little upset because first I'm told it's lost, then it's found and going to be overnighted to me, then it's being returned to the shipper, then nobody knows where it is, now it's found again??? Surely I can't be the one that sounds a little fishy too. Either there's some funny business going on or they really are 100% incompetent. Either way I'll never trust this company to handle any kind of shipping for me again.

UPS changed address because they could not find address. They delivered package to a complete different address in another zip code. Instead of Malvern PA they delivered in Greensburg PA. Seems like they just wanted to get rid of package. They could have called supplier to find what they can do but stupid UPS CEO has not trained his people right. They changed address and delivered to Greensburg PA.

I am so disillusioned with UPS. A simple delivery, from Phoenix Arizona to Laughlin, Nevada. Golf clubs shipped Monday, December 5, to arrive in Laughlin Wednesday, Dec. 7. This is less than a 4 hour drive by vehicle. UPS driver picks up golf clubs, has the printed tracking label, and advises that he will put the label on the case, so it will be affixed properly. UPS sends clubs to Bullhead City Arizona. Excellent, Clubs arrive Dec 6 in Bullhead; final destination is a 20 minute drive across the river. However, from that point on, this tragedy of errors and service is unbelievable.
December 8 clubs have not arrived at the hotel, and UPS "is looking for them". Reason: they say they can't read the label... maybe we, the client, put the label on wrong... Three days later; they find the golf clubs in Massachusetts! Now the story is the label is illegible... and they will ship them back to Nevada. However, it will take them until December 19 to get them back to Laughlin Nevada; the day after our Director of Golf leaves Nevada. 12 day golf trip, without his golf clubs. Request to UPS: please expedite the shipping back to Nevada, so our Director of Golf can at least bring the clubs back to Vancouver Canada with him. Nope, no can do... The reason: the label says Laughlin Nevada! (Yep, that same one that is either lost, not properly affixed, or illegible!) So, clubs arrive back in Laughlin, the day after client leaves. UPS: "no problem - we will get them to you right away."
Clubs get picked up December 19, back to Bullhead City, Arizona, back to Phoenix, Arizona. And now, on the way to Canada. That's Nice... from Phoenix to Vancouver BC, a direct flight, about 3.5 hours; final destination, about 20 minutes from the Vancouver, BC, Canada, Airport. Should be here in time for the Boxing Day tournament. One would think... but, no, UPS has a different understanding of geography. The golf clubs leave Phoenix and arrive in Ontario, California... where they are shipped to.. not straight up the west coast to Vancouver BC, but, clear across the country, to Fredericton New Brunswick.
UPS - this is unacceptable service, what makes it even worse - no one at UPS cares - they have not apologized, taken any responsibility or even make an attempt at good customer relations. I can't imagine what condition these golf clubs will be in. While packed extremely well in a hard travel case, the golf clubs have now traveled about 6000 miles in 15 days... for what should have been a trip of less than 4 hours. UPS - unacceptable.

Sent 2 pkgs UPS from Staples, Goshen, In. to Ups in New Orleans, La. $74.67. Requested it held there for pickup. My Son went to pick up the packages and was charged additional $30 before he could get them. Unbeknown to me UPS said their franchises can charge additional. So it cost me over $100.00 dollars to send Christmas presents. So just making people aware of additional charge you get soaked with through UPS. Will not use them next time.

UPS transfers packages to your local USPS location and has no way of tracking the package once they've thrown it over the fence to them. My package was sent by the shipper 10 days ago and UPS transferred to the local post office on 6 days ago and I still do not have the package. So now it is lost, I am out the money and item and time. I will tell every company to not use UPS or else I will not order from them. Customer service was of no help. UPS should have staff available to follow packages through from beginning to end but they say there is no way for them to do that. Bad business practice.

I just wanted to report on the customer service I received at the Depot branch in Lenexa on Friday 12-16-2016 at 4:30 PM. I had taken my packages in that I was sending four to be exact, I realized that I did not have the correct wallet, so I had to go home and get it. The man helping me was nice and said "I will put your packages aside and help you on return". When I returned 15 minutes later I walked in and maybe one other customer was there and employees one of them be the woman I am complaining about, she had auburn red hair glasses and it was in a ponytail in her 40s maybe. She was very rude to me obviously had no clue what I needed help with.
After I told her, another employee said "oh I know where your packages are ma'am I will help you." He came around the register to pick up a package off the cart. In the meantime the woman employee goes behind the register he is helping me at to help another customer. The male employee helping me said " hey wait I am helping this young lady," and she said "well I didn't know, she confuses me". She proceeds over to another register with her customer and then proceeds talking about me with the other customer!!
I have been in customer service for many years and that is no way to treat a customer!!! I told the nice young ** gentleman who was very good, that I did not appreciate her and how terrible her customer service skills are! This makes me never want to go to UPS and mail packages there again, plus it cost me $123.00 and some change to mail four boxes!! I do not have my order number with me. I do want to say that the ** gentleman was very helpful and was the only reason why I stayed!

The last few years have seen a huge decline in the handling of packages across all delivery companies. It is getting really annoying to constantly have beat up packages delivered leaving you wondering if your item is intact. My most recent experience was ordering through Home Depot. I ordered a TV cabinet online and it was shipped via UPS to the store. When I picked it up, the box was heavily damaged from shipping. Unfortunately for me, two of the main parts had major damage. I now had to wait an additional two weeks for the company to send replacement parts. Again the packages showed up at my house beat up. Again, one of the parts had damage. Thankfully it's only cosmetic and I can use the cabinet, but when paying $600 for an item, you expect not to have to fix/hide damage.
This isn't limited to UPS. Packages received from USPS and FedEx also typically arrive damaged. Generally people do not seem to take pride in their work anymore. It's just a paycheck and they don't care that someone has spent their hard earned money on what is in that package. God forbid you try to ship anything sentimental. Can we please rewind 20 years to when people had pride in their work and respected other's property?

Package was not delivered because required signature, which was on a Thursday. Attempted delivery made again on Friday. Both attempted deliveries were at a ridiculous time, 11:30 a.m. Seriously? I have a job that I have to be at by 7 a.m., like most responsible people. They did not even bother to try a different delivery time. That was not my biggest issue. Called on Saturday to hold the packages at a UPS location, and specified THREE times to the person on the phone that I will be picking them up at the UPS location the following Monday. THREE TIMES!!! Monday comes around and I get an email that states that there was an attempted delivery at 11:30 a.m. I had specifically told them to hold the packages!!! I call UPS, and am told to wait an hour for a phone call that will tell me when I can pick up my package, because it on a truck somewhere. Never got the call.
I call a second time and am told to wait 30 minutes because now my call is apparently more "urgent". More than thirty minutes pass and still no call. Finally a sane person answers the phone at UPS and opens a case that makes my package "extremely urgent". Told me to wait yet another hour for a phone call. Now it has been thirty minutes and still no call, but I'll wait the thirty minutes more. Somebody needs to send the management at UPS a dictionary because their definition of "urgent", and "customer service" is completely wrong. I understand it is Christmas time and your company is overflowing with packages, but this is way out of hand.

My apt is directly behind house. My address clearly states APT BEHIND HOUSE, yet with most of my packages they carry them upstairs to the main house. Today had heavy furniture delivered. They propped the boxes against the garage door, blocking it. I called UPS customer service - too bad, they won't do anything about it, wouldn't call the driver back even though still in the area.

Driver will not deliver to my address, drops packages off at UPS store, I have to retrieve. Very unhappy man, seems unhappy with life, takes it out on customer. All delivery trucks have delivered to our home for the last 13 years, even 3 different 18 wheelers in the last few months. No complaints, until this particular driver. I reported his demeanor and disgruntled ways and the UPS sites said there is nothing they can do about him. That is just the way he is. He has his company over a barrel stating he won't deliver and they let him make the choice. I will never choose if I have a choice UPS.
